Great patio, ok food

By nchaffin |

The patio was really great. The food was just ok. Super healthy, which I was excited about. But kind of bland and lacked flavors. It also may have been the day we visited, but the inside was families with young kids. Like a giant playroom sort of thing--very accommodating to families. Not a bad thing at all--it would be a great atmosphere if you're looking to hangout with friends and keep your kids entertained. But, for the food, I wouldn't rush back.

Friendly, simple but great menu

Love the healthy options, spacious grounds, chilled vibes and friendly staff. Good coffee, and great brunch bowl!! We were just visiting from australia and would recommend it to others. Smoothies look unreal-if only i had room left in my stomach. Thanks guys!

Nice neighborhood place

Avocado toast with poached egg. Good service seems a little spartan atmosphere though. Good place to grab and go.

Nice cafe

Poa was just a short walk from where I was staying at during my visit to Portland. The breakfast burrito was big and stomach filling; had egg, black bean, sweet potato, spinach, and other goodness. It kept me full for at least six hours. Service was good and did not have to wait for along to get the burrito. Prices are fair also.

Delicious!

Stopped in here last minute as the wait at the original place we chose was too long. Not only was the food delicious, it was super healthy and the presentation was spectacular! We will certainly return!

could you be more rude?

We went for breakfast. The food was acceptable, the servings a bit sparse. The service was inconsistent and the staff seemed to be more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. The line was sort of long. Here is one of the worst things we ever experienced in a restaurant. One of our party was a lovely 84 year old woman. She tried to bus the table and walked by a waitress who was in an animated talk with a customer. It was not clear at all where we should throw the trash. The lady wandered near the kitchen and the waitress shouted out "where do you think you are going." She went over to the lady and told her "the trash goes over there!" Really? Is that the respect you show to a customer especially an 84 year old lady? Avoid this place at any cost

good coffee & smoothies / sevice slow

In general their smoothies and coffee are really good. However service could improve, quite slow and not as friendly to the standard of portland service.

healthy and tasty...kid friendly

By Teresa M |

we've been meaning to try this cafe for lunch...i began with a pacifico, and my partner had a cinamon toast cocktail...both hit the spot...we then shared a big house salad with tofu and a sw bowl with tofu...all the food was so delicious...the space is geared for parents and children, but the patio out back offers some quiet space...the kid space is creative and verstile...the staff are friendly too...only criticism is that it's too white internally...some color would help...

Stay at home mom friendly

By Bryan H |

They have a playroom for young kiddos. The day I went, there were countless white stay at home moms with their kids meeting with others as a social hour kind of thing. The cafe wasn't prepared for the onslaught, and thus, like another reviewer mentioned in his review, the line at the counter was very, very long and slow-moving. In spite of this odd "rush", I felt the two employees did as good a job as they could. (One was the counter gal, one was in the kitchen.) The moms sort of took over the cafe, so that it wasn't really a place where others could easily talk, read, etc. I enjoyed my tea and breakfast, though. I would only go back if I peered in first to see what was going on, and if I saw a similar situation like I found myself in today, I'd keep walking down the street.

Nice little lunch spot with kids' play area

I had brown rice with brussell sprouts and bacon bits sauted with balsamic vinegar - unusual and very good, generous sized lunch. The server didn't exactly dote on me but I don't mind being left alone.
