Service was great, friendly staff and owners were lovely. Food was delicious, so much we ate there 2 times during our visit to Dallas.

I ordered food to go. Very good portions at a fair price. Took longer than the 15 minutes they said, but I would return if in the area.

Had dinner here with 2 others while on a business trip. I sat at the bar and was greeted quickly. After this, things just slowed down. It was not very busy on this Sunday evening and it took a while for the drinks to come, then for the menus to be delivered and then for the order to be taken. All the time there was friendly and entertaining talk with the bartender but it was obvious that the pace of things is just a bit slower here - not that this is a bad thing necessarily. The food was all tasty and the staff very pleasant.

The hostess was prompt and polite but she seated us at a table with a dirty tablecloth needed to be washed) and set my menu down on top of the butter plate. The atmosphere was nice...if you don't end up sitting by "that" table where the crew sits at and does prep work like wrapping silverware in napkins, etc. (see pic). I had a very basic pizza and the wife had an underwhelming lasagna. It looked like it had canned sauce poured all over it and had an acidic taste to it. Although I'm not a wine drinker, they did have about 10 different bottles of red and probably eight whites to choose from. They also had eight "specialty" beers but I do not consider Blue Moon to be special. The waitress was nice and attentive and this place has potential to be so much better but I guess you don't have to be good when you're in a downtown that doesn't have much competition.

It looks Italian sounds Italian, menu has Italian food but it is not, more like process/microwave food. First I Asked for garlic bread with cheese and got a piece of plain bread with a square piece of mozzarella not even completely melted/bread not toasted so there's no way he put it in an oven. They have a cook at best, because there's no way any chef would plate anyone microwaved bread and that was what it was. For my meal I asked for spaghetti with meatballs and I promise you that the meatballs tasted like nothing, well they did it tasted like microwave; they were very small. I thought the waitress was going to come with real Parmesan cheese instead I was told to use the powered one in the table, lol. I mean I thought I was at a Real Italian restaurant. I should of taken pictures but I was so upset I just gave up halfway thru the meal. I asked to speak to the manager Dimmy and I explained my experience about the garlic bread with cheese and meatballs without any flavors. He said that there's many ways of ordering garlic bread with cheese lol. Also he said the meatballs seat in water all day and that makes them flavorless. He was happy to share that he's been there for many years and has a 4 point something on his ratings. Well Dimmy congratulations on you high score but you have below average food on its best day. Won't be going back.

Offer Italian food. Poor sauce options. I want to taste the 3 different Ravioli they offer.: Cheese, meat and spinach. But you cannot combine!!! But I was lucky I could choose the sauce from just 3 options.. Spinach ravioli with Alfredo sauce was good. Tiramisu as well. By the way Nice service!

Loved the atmosphere in this restaurant, felt like we were in Florence at a local Italian eatery. The server was as sweet as could be. There was four of us and the food we got could have fed 8 easily. Large portions to share. It was all good but the Shrimp Scampi was excellent. Even the dessert was a huge plate full of delicious. We were staying at the Adolphus hotel which is just a short walk away from this restaurant.

I'm not sure how one can open a so called Italian restaurant and call it authentic without even spelling the name of a dish correctly on the menu. The multitude of mistakes on the menu give a terrible first impression and shows no effort from the owner. Very unprofessional. That of course also translates into the food which is possibly less authentic than Olive Garden. The pizza is terrible, comparable to frozen pizza like Di Giorno. As a born and raised Italian I am honestly offended by this restaurant and the association it claims with anything Italian.

On my first visit to the restaurant I wasn't impressed with the barmaid who came across as rude. Enough said. So straight away I decided to get take away rather than to stay. I ordered calamari fritti to take away and whilst waiting I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. I took the calamari fritti back to the hotel to eat with my partner and let me tell you it was superb. So after telling my partner about the rude barmaid we visited again hoping she would be there for lunch but luckily she wasn't and instead we got a great guy who was on the bar and guess what!! Yes we had the calamari again and stayed for hours!!! Great service. A few days before we left we had pizza slices as well for lunch on another day. There was no service so you just go to the back of the restaurant and get slices. We always sat at the bar as the service was better.

Convenient location. Good food and service at a fair price. i had eaten here on previous trips to Dallas and was never disappointed.

We went with a group and I was a little worried as I'm gluten-sensitive, but the server was very accommodating and recommended a pan-fried chicken with roasted vegetables dish. It was wonderful. Everyone else loved the bread and pasta dishes. We will be back.

My wife and I was looking for something quiet and quaint for a late dinner (11:00pm) And we found Porta Di Roma. Greeted immediately and sat at a table of our choice.( Being late as it was no problem on the table) We ordered Anti Pasta Di Carma and Pollo Ovitello Di Campagna. Absolutely delicious. And the owner Demi , came to our table to ask if everything was ok. Demi is the best as is his food.

I went to this Italian restaurant because the location and the good decoration. You must make a line to order and pay in the end. They will bring you the food to your table. The pasta and Pizza are very good and so the prices . Good if you are in a budget or in a hurry .

The service was terrible. Hard to get served and dirty plates sat in front of us for ages before being taken away. The food was mediocre at best and was not hot which is odd considering how long we had to wait. Then the expensive bill. They added an automatic 18% service fee and left the tip space blank. I could easily see someone tipping twice. I would also like to decide on the tip level given the poor service. I would not have left 18%.

I was headed to a show at The Majestic in downtown Dallas and wanted a restaurant within walking distance of the theater where I could get out of the heat. I got one out of two; Porta Di Roma was definitely within walking distance of The Majestic. However, on the day I visited, the AC was broken and the restaurant was warm and muggy. What I can say is I received a good Manicotti stuffed w/ricotta, mozzarella and I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I went with three stars overall for the following reasons; for an Italian restaurant, the salad was average at best. it was so warm, I couldn't really enjoy my meal. The table they sat me at was very rickety to the point when it moved (which was often), it spilled my beverage. If you are in downtown Dallas and need Italian in a hurry, I would recommend Porta Di Roma. Just make sure if its between May and September, the AC is working and that you test the table for balance before accepting your seating.

Ordered the pollo o vitello con marsala aka chicken marsala, with angel hair pasta. The food was good and the quantity as well. It came with a side salad and a complimentary basket of garlic bread. The price was great!

Excellent place for lunch or dinner. Eggplant parm was very good, and their specials (linguini with seafood) was very nicely done. Tiramisu and cannoli topped off the evening. At lunchtime it is a smaller men, good pizzas and a very generous Italian sub. Worth a try, if you're looking for good, tasty Italian in a casual atmosphere.

Lovely Italian on Main St. Seafood ravioli and seafood linguini was amazing. Servers very attentive.

I thought our experience was very good. We dined early to beat the crowd and our server was very attentive despite the shortage of another server for a bit. What I liked was everyone pitched in to help her from rest of staff! The calamari was good as well as the sauce. I ordered the penne con pomodoros and my husband had linguine con pescadore. Both were good. Meals come with HOT bread and a salad. We passed on dessert but the tiramisu looked yummy.

If you are craving NY Style Italian food this is your restaurant! Great food, lots is seating and a nice bar. Great for take out too!

Great wait staff. Friendly service. Great prices. Would definitely go again Food definitely delicious. Mushrooms relish

Had dinner here and, while simple, the food was delicious. Service was really good too. Overall I’d recommend it for a meal if you are around the area.

My daughter and I enjoyed a great New York Style Pizza and Caesar Salad with Chicken at Porta di Roma. It's not fancy but the food is good and inexpensive. Very family friendly.

Tilapia De Mare Skillfully grilled fish ato linguini that was tossed in a very light lemon/caper sauce. Really really lovely. Just the meal for a hungry traveller who is hungry but not wanting to be weighed down in this heat. OK the Tiramsu could have been avoided but I would have missed out on a delightful addition to the excelent coffee. Service was great, with polite charm and excedllent efficiancy. Im a foodie who is very choosy and this lovely resteraunt and i mean resteraunt is delightful and a pleasure to recomend.

The food was delicious and worth every cent. Above that, the customer service was outstanding. Even the owner came out and introduced himself.

I routinely eat at Porta de Roma. Great slice for Lunch. Great made in front of you Italian dishes. Food is good, service is good. This is a bar casual dining. They used to serve the best breakfast in town on Saturday morning.

My family of 4 ordered 5 different dishes: pizza, manicotti, lasagna, shrimp scampi & shrimp alfredo. All dishes were excellent and very flavorful. great service too

This establishment, has become my FAVORITE italian restaurant period. The ambiance, decor, and quality of food, surpasses any other eatery of its kind. When you have an italian chef, (Francesco), who takes pride in his product, you will taste a bit of heaven on earth. I travel the entire USA, and I'm totally convinced, that this culinary nirvana, is one of a kind! See if you don't agree....

Ate here because most restaurants in downtown Dallas are closed on Sundays. I ordered a cold pasta salad dish and rest of group ordered variety of other dishes like lasagna, ravioli, pizza etc. Everyone liked their food and we took home lots of leftovers. Fresh bread they bring out in beginning was to die for! The only tiny complaint I have is that there was no kid menu.

Was surprised by the food. I ended up here by accident with my roommate after another place we attempted had a wait that was unbearably long. Upon first glance, we were going to walk out but we decided to give it a shot (plus we were starving!). The house salad that came with our meals left much to be desired; very plain and unflavorful but the dinner and house wine made up for it. Wine was good and the main entree was just the right portion. I ate all of mine and did not feel stuffed. I would definitely recommend it.

My wife & I dined here last night. She chik/spinach lasagna & I Cantonelli con Vitello, we really enjoyed these entrees 8/10, bread was outstanding perfect crust with perfect soft inside, & salad was salad Our dessert coffee:expresso with amaretto 6/10. : while tiramsou was just Ok 4/10. We enjoyed friendliness of staff 9.5/10 & ambiance of dining area 7/10

We went on girls night and chose the best place! Everyone loved their food and the bites we shared of each others. The lasagne was a large portion, but so good that I had to pork out and eat all of it! Have friends staying weeks at nearby hotel and this place is one of their favorites!

Popped in for dinner with a colleague, we were quickly seated and drinks order was taken by a very polite waiter. I had Bruschetta to start and my colleague had the fried mozzarella sticks, these were fine. We then had Meatballs and Lasagne for main course, the Lasagne was dry and bland, the meatballs were ok. I think this restaurant could be so much better if you didn't feel rushed, I appreciate that throughout the week there is a need to keep the tables moving but this was a Sunday evening!! Our server was polite and friendly, the manager walked through the restaurant asking the diners if the food was good, this is a bit awkward as he could probably see from my plate that the Lasagne hadn't gonedown well!!!!

Found this place while wondering downtown and feel in Love. wonderful food and atmosphere. We stop in every time we are in the Dallas area.

Ordinary pizzas. We had expected more from a place that is pizza. At the same time the environment wasn’t that good. We sat right next to the kitchen and the light from the kitchen as very bright at the tables nearby.

Pizza margarita not tasty. Sticky table. Disappointed. There is more option around that looks much better...

Great food, great service and great price. Ended up going back for a second visit with our son, we enjoyed it so much.

Ate there two nights in a row on recent business trip to Dallas. Value is excellent but I thought the food was only fair. Reasonably priced drinks also. Worth a try but don't have high expectations for the Italian food.

Great food! Salads were fresh, basil in the insalata caprieses best I've tasted, pasta dishes perfectly al dente, the garlic bread was more like wonderful, warm oversized garlic knots. Desserts well presented and delicious. Service outstanding, attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend it; we'll be back!

My husband and I both got the spaghetti and meatballs, side salads and shared a cannoli. The marinara sauce was alright. I have had better, but as a disclosure, I make my own sauce and the recipe came from my Italy raised mother in-law. Having said that the restaurant is convenient in the downtown area and the cannoli was filled when ordered, so it was fresh not soggy. The waitress was very nice and our food came out hot!

Was staying downtown, came across restaurant during the day and decided to try for dinner. Traveling alone, being seated at the bar on a Wednesday night was no problem. Staff was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. Tried the mussel appetizer and happy I did. The sauce with cherry tomatoes made the dish, very nice. There was a nice chicken entree on the evening special with capers, and garlic wine sauce that was very good. I passed on the bread, but it looked delicious. Back in the area again I would visit here again.

Basic spaghetti and meatballs was good. Bread was cold so the oil on it made it slimy. Definately the worst past. Bartender was prompt and efficient. Pretty good, but along ways from great night matter how hard I tried...

We stopped by after checking out overall reviews for this restaurant. Everything was so good that I wanted to write this review ASAP. We had the fried calamari and 3 different entrees and each of us were very satisfied. We also loved the bread and salad that comes with the meal. You need to try this place.

I had the dish described in the title and loved it so much I came back and got it again the next day. I never had it before in either this restaurant or anywhere else. It was excellent (and probably healthy). Something odd, after my meal the first night I asked if they had either decaf tea or decaf coffee and was told no to both. The second day, I asked the same question and was told they did, in fact, have decaf coffee. On the strength of the taste of the dinner alone I would revisit this place. Another reviewer labeled his review "great food, average service" and that just about sums it up. I would definitely go back and if I lived in Dallas I would be a regular here. Also the prices were very reasonable. Similar size dish at another Italian restaurant located about a block away (which I also reviewed) was charging on average, about $6.00 more for their Italian dinners.

We had to eat late and this place was the only one open, and we were blessed to find it! Food was excellent! The pizza was very good. The crust was crispy, and hand made. The toppings were flavorful without being too garlicky. And the cheese was meted just right. The service was very good, and the atmosphere welcoming. Highly recommend!

Prior to going to a Mavs Basketball game my three friends and I dined at Porta Di Roma which was new to all of us and we've never visited before. The wait staff was cordial, friendly and attentive. All of us left with the same experience of loving their food, attention to detail and service. I would definitely return as well as I've already shared with other friends to check it out when they are in the area.

Slow Sunday night. Service was prompt and pleasant. Limited wine list but a Chianti was pretty good. Ordered chicken parmigiana on recommendation of waitress. May have need worst chicken parmigiana I’ve ever had. It’s a shame because we enjoyed the room. Maybe they had an off night.

Looks so nice from the outside; the interior less pleasing. Competent service, fast and accurate. I ordered Bolognaise and was so disappointed when I started eating. It was without taste! I even asked for extra garlic. Got a piece of bread which suffered from the same lack of taste. Cannot believe it is ranked so high in Dallas.

When touring the area, we saw this place and decided to try it. And, we are glad that we did. Had nice friendly service, and our pasta dishes were very good! Even had one of their desserts. Neat atmosphere and a great location in downtown.

This is a great place for lunch and dinner. I had the pizza for lunch and pasta for dinner. Great food and service. Family friendly. A must visit when in dallas texas

It was the only place in Dallas where I could have a very good, actually the best espresso I had in the entire US! The rest was good, very high above average! will go back!

Great food and service the only thing I have to say was that it was super warm inside but other than that great place if you like Italian food!!

The menu looked very inviting with lots of choices. People very friendly and accommodating. Bread was🥖 good. We ordered Bruschetta which looked appetizing. However, it was not hot and the sauce was very bland. We should have sent it back. I had Pasta and seafood. The shellfish 🦐 was plentiful and fresh. Unfortunately, my pasta was cold! I sent it back to be heated. It tasted better hot. My husband’s Veal Parmigiana was heavily breaded and the same bland sauce. His was cold too. Overall, not our best meal in Dallas.

Very convenient. I had take out a couple of times and was not disappointed. Food tasty. People (customer) friendly.

The aroma of marinara, bread, and garlic identified this as good place for Italian food. The family-owned vibe was evident with genuine greetings, inquiries, and an eagerness to share their best. The host, server, busser, and chef, each made stops at my table to inquire about my dining experience. Sometimes this much attention can feel intrusive, but not a Prota di Roma. I appreciated the pride that each person had in their restaurant. This is a great downtown location and I would return for a second meal.

My wife and I recently visited Dallas, we had been out all day in downtown Dallas, so we were looking for dinner. We walked to the Neiman Marcus to check that out and looked across the street and found Porta Di Roma, as stated across street from the Neiman Marcus, we stepped in and wow, the smells of a real Italian restaurant, we waited maybe 5 minutes, it is a small restaurant. Server came and we ordered, I had chicken Lasagna, very good, came with salad and bread, way better than Olive garden and less expensive, we sat right in the front window, we could see the Christmas lights and had a very enjoyable dinner, would recommend it highly

Went in late after arriving in Dallas, they welcomed us in and served up whatever we chose. Started with incredible garlic rolls. Dinners arrived shortly and were delicious. Then we were greeted by the owner- charming man who has a passion for his cooking and his painting. Would definitely visit again!

Worst restaurant experience in a long time. Had to be the servers first shift ever, very inexperienced. Yes, we were told they only had two servers but it wasn't that crowded. Rarely saw the server after meal arrived. Had to walk to the bar twice to get refills. Calimari was very good and the house dressing was delicious. However the lasagna had to be the worst I've ever had. Very dry lasagna covered in marinara sauce.

I work downtown, so I hit this place when I'm in the mood for a slice and don't want to spend a long time at lunch. The pizza is good and comes out pretty quick. I can be in and out in less than 30 minutes because everything is ordered in line and you don't have wait staff to deal with.

I'm visiting from Hutto Tx. This place has great home cooked Italian food and well worth the price. Awesome cheese cake too. Very nice place.

Good Italian restaurant in downtown Dallas, we had pizza and lasagna, both were very good lasagna especially.

This is a return visit to this restaurant and it continues to exceed my expectations. Visited on a recent business trip and was pleased with all aspects of the visit. Keep in mind this is not a destination restaurant (a place to be seen and to see) but an excellent local spot with quality Italian food. Service was very good, food quality very good ambiance good and overall a very pleasant experience.

Restaurant was quiet with multiple choices of dining rooms and television screens visible from a variety of vantage points in each room. Nice place for a quick lunch.

Great little restaurant with excellent food at reasonable prices for the downtown area. Our waitress was very sweet, but service was a bit slow. We’d eat there again!

Best Italian food in Dallas. Came here for valentine's dinner. They were busy, but not packed. We ordered stromboli and a calzone. Both came out steaming hot and delicious! This is the first place I will go next time I'm in Dallas!

The service at Porta Di Roma was great, and the atmosphere was as well. This place has very reasonable prices for a sit-down dinner in downtown Dallas. I had the Chicken Marco Pollo, which came with fresh bread (yum!) and a side salad. I took one star for the chicken itself--the sauce and pasta was fine, but I think chicken gets tough when it's pounded thin. The Lambrusco was also very reasonable by the glass. Get a table by the window--it's fun to people-watch!

Great food, great service, great price great location easy to fine and the food is outstanding! I was in Dallas for training and found this Italian restaurant while looking for a different one that the hotel remmonded us to go too. As it turned out Porta di Roma was the better choice hands down. So so if want a meal just like moms would make look no further this is the place to go!

Called to make a reservation for dinner last night and was told they weren't taking them as there was a cheerleader convention in town and they expected to be busy. That was fine, so we arrived around 6 and was seated promptly. Waitress very nice, and we expected a wonderful experience. We ordered the fried calamari, Caesar salads, and Veal Piccata and Chicken Parm. All very good. Then, the evening fell apart. We had to ask for bread which she promptly brought, then she literally disappeared. Never saw her again and had to ask another server for our check. It is a shame, but will not go back. We left around 7:15, and only one group of cheerleaders showed up.

Found the spot on our way to our destination, for the ghoast Beer crawl. I had the house salad with house vinaigrette made with manaria sauce it's worth a try I enjoyed. Scratch yeast bread and the deluxe pizza 14"was wonderful. My husband had spaghetti with meatdauce and added meatballs. The light sauce was fresh and full of flavor. All around was enjoyed, and recmonding if you are in the area.

Walkable and easy to get to. Menu had lots of choices. Pasta dish was good but nothing out of the ordinary but had good flavor. Salad that came with the entree was just okay but the bread was really good.

We had been walking around Dallas and the museum's and called in after a couple of drinks at Frankies (just down the street). Got a booth straight away and it was around 7pm on a Friday. Service was good if not over the top, waitress was coming round almost every 5 minutes checking on us but no where to be found when we wanted the bill. Nice food we had the lasagne and cannaloni with house salads and meats and cheese selection to start with. Moderately priced at around $50. It's not fancy and it's not a dive so I would recommend.

Walking by this place, it looked so promising. Charming atmosphere, nice lighting, classy feel. Unfortunately, that's as good as it got.The food was very average, and one in our party got his food cold. The wine list was inexcusably meager for an Italian restaurant, and the service was just terrible. We had to ask for bread more times than I could count. And I don't mean MORE bread, I mean ANY bread. Everything else was delivered at about the same pace. Disappointing, because it could be so much more.

The Man Friend and I have eaten here twice...the first time we just ordered pizza to go to enjoy in our hotel room after a long day. We opted for the meatball pizza and it was surprisingly good! The second time, we arrived later in the evening and opted to dine-in so we could meet up with some family members in town at the same time. We ordered two specials...one was a tomato-mozzarella salad with olive oil & balsamic vinegar and a spicy seafood pasta dish (both served with some really tasty bread). The seafood wasn't as good as it could have been, but the sauce was amazing. The salad, though simple, was a great light meal. The people-watching is fantastic and the waitstaff was really friendly. This place is a late night venue, as well. This is now sort of a staple place for us whenever we're in Dallas!

We were in a great mood, wanting to get some good Italian food. Out first mistake was to go here. When we got there it took forever to get any service. Once we did, only one of the three of us ordered and the waiter left saying he would be back. He didn't come back for over fifteen minutes and there was no staff around. We only had waters at the table so we chose to leave. Later we realized we left a sweater at the table. We went back and the owner was yelling at us saying we owed him money and that we skipped the check even though the waiter never finished taking our order. We felt threatened by the aggressive owner so I gave him some cash and left. I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to go to such a horrible place.

Food is made fresh, staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always very clean. They also happen to have full bar service, which is nice after a great meal. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in down town Dallas.

My friend and I were in town on business and popped in on a whim and the bartender named James was outstanding! He gave us great service as well as awesome dish recommendations! He was awesome!

Laid back restaurant. Decent sized menu. Pasta salads and meat. No steak. Best spaghetti with prawns I've eaten. Really tasty withnplentynof large prawns. Yummmmy

Whilst the menu speaks of Italian dishes, the food is really not good or Italian in style or taste. A large lump of oily and think bread laced with garlic will be delivered first whilst it's only minutes after ordering that your meal arrives. Makes you wonder how they could be fresh. Pleasant enough for a quick and inexpensive meal.

Bartender seemed disinterested in the sole person sitting at bar. When he finally acknowledged me I asked him if eggplant parm was good and he said yes. I ordered it and it was more grease than eggplant. Eggplant slice was probably less than 1/4" thick which was far less than the breading. Barely tasted like eggplant because barely any there. Had 2 bites. Told bartender was really bad and wasn't going to eat it. He gave me check with the food on it. Told him not paying for it and he said he'd have the "chef" come out. He didn't come out and stayed in kitchen but they took it off the bill. The Peroni was good.

It has really good food and great service, but unfortunately we found a fly in our food and saw a cockroach. After a good cleaning this place is gonna do great!

The selection was extensive and descriptions were helpful on the menu. The range of prices, from stromboli and calzones to fine cuts of beef was reasonable. The mimosas were generous and exceptional good. We will certainly dine here again when in Dallas.

I didn't even order. By the time I received the menu I have been seating down for 20 minutes. I just got up and left. On my way out the head waitress with a sarcastic tone told us to have a great day. So, I did. Terrible services and smells awful. Not a family place.

Walked from hotel and stopped in by chance. Next time will be on put on purpose. Pasta Primavera was excellent!

My daughter and I went here for lunch. We had been struggling with the huge portions restaurants served so we asked if it was possible to have two of the pasta starter dishes as main courses. They happily agreed. They were delicious and also the starter was the size of a main course serving in the UK. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a relaxed restaurant and the prices are reasonable. We returned with friends one evening for the pizzas, which were good too. There was no sense of being rushed to vacate your table even though they were busy

Went to this italian restaurant twice because we enjoyed our first experience. Inexpensive good meal, we had different meals each time (four different meals) and enjoyed all. Our waiter Joelh did his job well, we couldn't have been happier. We wouldn't hesitate returning😁

We had a good experience at this cozy little Italian restaurant in Downtown Dallas. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the environment is casual and comfortable. The restaurant centers around an old wood-tone bar in the middle where travelers and "regulars" seemed to mingle and enjoy drinks.

We had stopped in on a rainy Saturday for a coffee drink. It smelled delicious. On the website it said they would deliver if it was within walking distance. The bartender confirmed it. When I called later that evening, I was told NO we do not deliver. Oh well, they missed out on a big order.

Went for dinner, seemed clean although the area we were sitting was almost too dark to see the menu. Ordered cheese sticks salads and a margherita pizza. Service was good up until we got our pizza, we waited a long time until our waitress came back. The pizza was ok, something different with crust I didn't care for. Our waitress finally came back so we could order tiramisu, and that was delicious. Again waited a long time to get the check and be able to leave.

Nice neighborhood restaurant, with comfortable atmosphere, good service and lots of variety on menu. Servers were very friendly and attentive. We had pizza and veal parmigiana; servings were big, and very tasty. The crab stuffed mushrooms to start were almost a meal! Would go back if we return to Dallas.

We went last night before going to the majestic theater. The food was incredible. I had the pasta walnut Gorgonzola salad which was as delicious as it was beautiful. My husband and I split a pizza with sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese...yummy! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Ate here for lunch. Had a decent beer selection. Service was good. The have complimentary breadsticks which were delicious. I had a pepperoni calzone for $6 and it was enough for two. Plus it was very good. I will eat here again on my next visit.

in Dallas on business- found this gem tucked away in the midst of downtown. Across the street from one entrance of the downtown Neiman-Marcus department store, and about 6 blocks from Dealey Plaza. We stopped in about 4pm. My group was greeted warmly, seated and served quickly. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the Stromboli with sausage/mushrooms/cheese and it was really good! The portions were very generous as well. This restaurant has a buffet option at lunch, it appears. Prices for lunch seemed very reasonable. If you are in the area, it's worth a try.

Porta di Roma is located in downtown Dallas which is currently under remodeling, almost feels like Manhattan. We managed to get a window seat to enjoy the Christmas light display along Main St. While they got my order wrong (I ordered a dish not a pizza), the pizza was nevertheless really good. Not only did the waitstaff apologize, but the owner came by and apologized as well. They offered a $1 deduction and a free dessert to boot. Classy. I recommend this place, the staff seem like genuine people and the food is quite good.

Stopped in early one evening (before 5:00) and immediately enjoyed the ambiance. The hostess/bartender was from Greece and knew her stuff. I started with the shrimp scampi appetizer and it was delicious. The garlic bread was more like a cinnamon roll, but instead of sugar and cinnamon, it was butter and garlic. A real treat. I sat and sampled the meat/cheese platter and enjoyed people watching out the window. Meanwhile, the hostess/bartender knew everyone by name and seemed to enjoy her work. (nice change). I was done, but had to try the cheesecake. I don't think it was homemade, but the chocolate sauce made up for it. Service was very good. My waiter was Andrew.

Stopped by this restaurant on our way to a Dallas Mavericks game. Service was quick. Pizza tasted like New York pizza and the garlic bread was excellent. We did receive the wrong dish but they offered to replace it. The menu offered lots of traditional Italian dishes at reasonable prices.

Stumbled on the place as I was walking through downtown Dallas. I fancied a Pizza and had an Americana. Pizza was fantastic as was the welcome from the staff. Seemed to have a great menu. Nothing too fancy just good honest food.

Stayed in Dallas area & found this gem of a restaurant! Food was delicious & very reasonable. Entrees came with salad & bread & service was great. Highly recommend-either a full meal or slice of pizza. Very attractive & cozy. Great find!

On the positive side, the location is convenient, right on Main Street and the hours are convenient. The bartender was prompt and courteous, so if one only wants to drop in for a beer at the bar or a beer and a slice, it won't disappoint. However, the food is ordinary at best. a. We tried the Fettuccini Alfredo which resembled poorly cooked pasta covered with "bought in a jar" sauce. b. We also ordered three pizzas with were short on toppings and high in price.

I've been to Italy twice, and this place is the real deal. Service was good. Menu is varied, with loss of choices. Our waiter helped us decide based on sauce choices, ingredients, portion sizes, etc. Creamy brandy sauce was outstanding. Would definitely recommend. Casual atmosphere with some sidewalk tables.

Visited April 4th. Did not have to wait for table. Ordered Veal Parmigiana. Breading on veal was thick for my preference. Salad and bread were good.

After 30 minutes we left. We never got drinks or any service. The waitstaff looked untrained and overworked. Too bad! I needed a free drinks, dinner and some air conditioning. They didn't seem to want to provide any of these.

Porta is a wonderfully flavorful experience. A small and quaint venue with no airs, just good food and service. Thank you Jamie. The restaurant is also reasonably priced. Enjoyed the veal al piccato that was accompanied by a house salad and yummy garlic bread. I'm told their pizza is also very good - will try it next visit!

We heard good reviews about this restaurant so maybe they were having a bad night when we were there. The food was just ok. We had calamari and it was as chewy as beef jerkey. It was not very good. The cheese bread were slices of bread with a piece of cheese on it that had been heated up. We had lasagna which was just so so, maniciti that was good, and a spaghetti dish that was ok. The service was great and the wine was great so not a total bust.

The food at this restaurant is really great, and the owner is nice. However, the service is absolutely horrible. We arrived in town and went straight to the restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately, our waitress had only been working there about a month, and she acted like she hadn't been there but a day. She would disappear and just never come back to our table. We had to get another waitress to help us several times, because our waitress was in the back just standing there. When we asked for things, she gave us a blank stare like she had no idea what she was doing. I had to go to the bar to pay my bill, because she never came back after bringing our meal. Forget about getting bread or beverage refills. If you go, definitely ask for Sara to be your waitress. She's really nice and the best waitress that they have. The older guy waiter has a nasty attitude and is arrogant. It's a same that the failing customer service is killing this business.

This has that family run feel. There seems to be a lot of regulars that are called by name. The food is good. The service was fine. The atmosphere is rustic.

My wife and I happened to come by this restaurant when very few restaurants were open on Sunday night. I walked up to the Matre d' upon leaving and said, from my heart, "This food is amazing", and I grew up in a Sicillian family in Penna. The atmosphere wasn't impressive, and the service was "confused", but it's all worth putting up with just to eat the great food at Porta Di Roma. And it's a great value too!

Had a delicious meal here on our first night in Dallas. Reasonably priced and tasty well presented meals with a very friendly server. Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying on the downtown Dallas area.

The food was incredibly delicious!!! I did not wait more than 15 minutes to get my food and it archived my expectations! If I travel to Dallas again, I'll no doubt to visit them again! Recommended 100%

As a Dallas downtown resident I might be biased, but we love this place. It has a neighborhood feeling, and it's just good food. Don't expect gourmet, but expect good, delicious and friendly. The steak and fries is incredibly delicious - for a non steak house. My wife and I go to this place as often as we can.

We arrive at opening, so seating and service weren’t problems. The pizza was fabulously tasting, nearest to authentic Italian than most places could claim. It was a quick visit and although few guest were dining in, getting a refill drink, to-go box and the check all took a bit longer than it should’ve. We would return and if you’re not in a hurry, it’s highly recommended. Keep in mind, restaurants in Italy are actually slower because they’re not in a rush to flip the table Porta Di Roma fits that mold.

The garlic bread included in the main dishes is very good, and the side salad also a good idea, fresh, with a variety of vegetables and optional dressing. The pasta I had was very very good, the correct combination of pasta, spices, Olive oil and the other ingredients. Service was very friendly from all waiters, and the prices were definitely fair. Definitely a place to return to.

We had a fabulous time. Christine provided us service. The food was good, especially the pizza. Great prices. Big portions.

Staying in town for business and I looked for some Italian food close by. How lucky I was to find this awesome little restaurant. I ordered a Caesar salad and chicken Alfredo. Everything was super delicious!!! I am thrilled I found this little gem.

The shrimp and scallops on pasta with asparagus was excellent. Tasty and fresh. Pasta on cream sauce was wet enough to coat the pasta correctly. A little more scallops would make it perfect.

Hidden Gem! Christina was fabulous! Our new friend from Bulgaria. The food and service was great. They made Gnocchi special for my wife ( awesome) my dish was great also. We made it here 3 times in two days. On tap they had my favorite beer Avalanche from the Breckinridge Brewery. Of course I had to revisited 3 times!!! Close to Italy ( Roma) I - We ) have found here!

Two years ago I reviewed this restaurant when I had the dish described in the title and loved it so much I came back and got it again the next day. I never had it before in either this restaurant or anywhere else. It was excellent (and probably healthy). This past week I was in Dallas and revisited this restaurant and got the same dish again. Once again, it was so good that I returned the next and got it again. The third night this week I returned again and had spaghetti and meatballs. This place has a nice atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service and very reasonable prices compared to the local competition. If I lived in Dallas I would be a regular at this place. It should be rated much higher.

Excellent food and great customer service. When everything else was closed on Sunday this was open. Met us with a smile and food was great!

Nice location downtown, very friendly service! Pricing is decent and Veal Cannaloni was nice. Recommended.

While eating Delicious Italian Salad, Pizza, and Breadsticks I watched an employee trying to carry a huge tray of food drop the entire tray, immediately after being asked if he needed help. The owner kindly remained patient did not yell or get visibly angry although I am sure that tray was a significant loss. The employee was obviously embarrassed and apologetic. I marveled at the restraint of the owner and the eagerness to make amends of the employee. Clearly these are good people and deserve your business. It is nice spot for a business lunch or happy hour or a couples night out. Corner restaurant with outdoor seating and great service. Oh, and the caprese salad is great- ask for extra balsamic vinegar:)

The food was really good at a great price. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. It is also conveniently located.

My husband and I went on Valentine's evening. This must be a locals favorite because we went expecting it to be busy, which was fine. We put our name in, and went to sit at the bar. There were seats obviously taken, but the bartender told us the guys were out on the patio smoking. So I took one empty seat, my husband was just going to stand. After about 15 min the guys weren't going to come back in, so I just told my husband to move one of the guys bags down one seat so my husband could sit, and the bartender told him that was RUDE. I'm sorry, we are at least spending money at your bar and not taking up space! He was the rude one. We finally got a table by the window, it was quaint and we enjoyed the street view. Took about 10 min to see a waitress go by. Our server was delightful when we finally saw him. The food was excellent but the service was SLOW!!!! The meatballs were obviously pre-frozen and kept in water (yuck) but my food was good. Again, 20 min to get our check. And it was a slow night. Only go if you have time to kill. But the atmosphere was good.

We were immediately seated and our service was great. The food was delicious as well. I would definitely go back again and would recommend this restaurant.

Food was delicious. Server was friendly and entertaining. Look forward to eating there again, next time in Dallas.

We went here about a year ago while walking through downtown Dallas. Good move on our part. GREAT Italian food, not expensive at all (heck, it might be cheaper than Olive Garden or even local places here.)

Ate here with a colleague while visiting Dallas for a conference. I ordered the tortellini with pesto and white wine sauce. It was absolutely delicious! The side salad that came with the meal was ok but clearly just bagged salad. The house pinot grigio was tasty and well priced. I finished with tiramisu that was perfection. I will be sure to be back the next time Im in the area.

My wife and I went for and evening meal, it all started good, nice starter and drinks. Service was good. My wife's meal veal cannelloni was good, unfortunately I had the Lasagne I looked and looked but there was no meat in it. DONT ORDER LASAGNE. This place also adds a hefty tip on the bill. not so good value. I would not go back

Great Italian Restaurant, good atmosphere and great food.We had the spaghetti and it was delicious. Would def recommend reasonable price too

Visited this restaurant with my sister and brother in-law. They live in the downtown area of Dallas. We walked a few blocks to this place. Great atmosphere. More than I would normally pay for pizza but the pizza was really good so I'll let that slide ;) We had two small children in our group of six and I'm not sure this would be a place for children. Seems like there were a lot of adults there that would prefer that the children eat some where else.

Our party of six arrived late enough (10pm) on a Sunday night - restaurant is supposed to be open until 12 - and were seated and given menus. Whilst we were seated the chef appeared and seemed to be giving out to the maitre d for having seated people! The atmosphere in the restaurant was horrible as you could hear the chef arguing. Our waitress was very good and there is a good choice of food but when it arrived it was very underwhelming - definitely not authentic Italian. Maybe the food is better when the chef is in better humor! Would not recommend this place as there are plenty of other better options in downtown Dallas.

This Italian restaurant will not disappoint! The food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was also very good. Definitely recommend!

Nice venue in Cbd area. Friendly staff, good prices, fast service. Pizza dough is fantastic, one of the best i have ever had. Demi , chef patron is very kind person to have chat with.

Food was ok for America and the price point. Service was fine. As normal in America, sauces were overdone and the bruschetta was drenched in cheese when I expected a little bit.

Service was great! Great location in town. Pizza Texana and pasta were great choices. Complementary bread was wonderful. Good choice.

The service was a little lacking, but we went at lunchtime so I guess that is to be expected. I got the NY style pizza and my wife got a pasta dish. We really enjoyed both dishes. The cheese on the pizza was very flavorful. The prices are a little high but it's downtown Dallas...so to be expected. We'll go back again next time we are in the neighborhood.

I ordered the lasagna to go, It looked more like soup with a little pasta. They asked me if I wanted one with chicken and spinach or one with meat. I took the second one, but there was barely any meat to find... the bread and salad that came with it were alright, but after to bites of the lasagna I put it in the trash and that for $14.. I should have taken pizza, they looked delicious.

Meal was nice, the service was excellent. Friendly and welcoming. Nice Italian food. Would definitely return.

Came with family of 4 very early on a Friday (5pm) After ordering only basic pastas and chick parm, waited over an hour for our food. Very poor service. Will not be returning here. Left $0 tip. Food was very average at best.

My wife and I decided to have dinner downtown before an event at The Majestic Theater. We stumbled upon this quaint Italian restaurant and were greatly surprised. The restaurant has received accolades as best neighborhood restaurant and it was easy to see why. The food was excellent, the sauce was homemade and the wine list extensive. The cannennoli was the best I have had. My wife really enjoyed her eggplant parm. Add to that house salads with Homemade Italian dressing and hot bread — a glass of vino and we had the whole taste of Italy. The wait staff was attentive and the restaurant was quiet. Great place for an intimate meal.

The service was very poor. It seems there were only 1 or 2 wait staff and a bartender. The place did not appear busy, yet I had to get my own wine (usually it’s the wait staff that hasn’t brought but in this case I watched the bartender pull the ticket a good 10 mins after it had been ordered and I had to go to bar to request it.) we never made it to our dinner 1.5 hours, we closed out our request and went to eat at our hotel. Very disappointing.

A Thursday night out brought us to Porta Di Roma, and they didn't disappoint. We were seated immediately, and were greeted by Hector, who was wonderful. He brought us water and gave us a moment to review the wine list. The house wines (Copper Ridge) are not very good. I know everyone has a personal preference, so take my opinion as just one of many, but I cannot in good faith recommend Copper Ridge wine to anyone. Let's move on. I ordered a glass of Cabernet (I would HIGHLY recommend the Stags Leap if you're feeling up to getting a bottle - having been to the vineyard, I love their wine, family, and way of keeping flavors and traditions alive). My lovely ordered a glass of Clos Du Bois Chardonnay. This isn't about the wine, so again, I need to get on with it! I ordered the Pasta Farfalle and she, a Hawaiian pizza. The pasta had onions, sundried tomatoes, and spicy sausage tossed in an arrabbiata sauce. It had a wonderful kick to it. The pasta was cooked well, and the sausage pieces were slices diagonally, to give the illusion of much larger pieces than they were. The presentation was without fanfare, but the taste spoke for itself. In fact, the entire restaurant lacked a lot of flare, which reminded me of home cooking and people who focus more on the meal than the kitsch on the wall. Pasta: 7/10 Her Hawaiian pizza was tasty, but left a few desirables on the table. It was undercooked, but only enough to make it difficult to eat with your hands. The outer ring of crust was crispy without being dried out, but the center of the pie was soft, oily, and limp. Delivered cut, the oils from the cheese were pooling in the center and softening the slices further. We ended up rolling the center point up on the slice to make it more manageable. It didn't have any interesting flavors, but it also didn't lack any deliciousness. It was sort of unnoticed. 5/10 We boxed up our leftovers and ordered a slice of triple chocolate cheesecake and two spoons. Chocolate crust, chocolate cheesecake, crisp chocolate top, and drizzled chocolate syrup bringing the ensemble together like Christmas morning in chocolate form. This, by far, had the best presentation and taste. 9/10. Overall, Porta Di Roma served as a wonderful date night destination for good food and GREAT dessert. Hector and the rest of the staff were wonderful, friendly, and smiling. I would recommend Porta Di Roma to anyone (especially couples) looking for a spot in downtown Dallas to enjoy some Italian food and friendly faces. Bring room for dessert!

I do not travel downtown a lot, but was in town to see a comedy show. Arrived early and decided to have lunch. The first place we stopped at only served dinner so we walked around the corner and saw Porta Di Roma Italian food. Perfect. I had the beef ravioli, my cousin had the lobster ravioli. She said it was the best Italian bread she ever had and her salad was delicious. I only had the ravioli but it was dynamite. The waitress was very polite and cordial as well. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

Very convenient to the downtown Dallas Hampton Inn & Suites on Commerce. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Had a New York style pizza and mozzarella caprese salad with wine. Delicious, with very friendly service!

During our visit to Dallas we visited this restaurant for lunch. It was still relatively early and it had almost no people. The restaurant serves Italian cuisine. We both ordered pasta. The food tasted great and the service was friendly and fast. We liked it a lot.

This restaurant is within walking distance (~10 min) from the hotel. We got there about 6:30pm and there were available tables so we were seated immediately. I had the pizza which was fairly good as pizza goes and came out with the other orders about 15 minutes later. Other orders were very good as well. Would return.

Visited on a Saturday at lunch. Quiet on the weekends in downtown. Just 2 blocks from our hotel so worth a try. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All meals come with house salad and bread. Oh my, some of the best bread ever. Salad was nothing exciting. I had the homemade lasagna and it was flavorful and cheesy, nice size serving, I couldn’t finish it all. Husband had the Bolognese and added Italian sausages, he loved it. I tried a bite of the Italian sausage because he raved about how good it was, and wow! Amazing. Reasonable prices, would definitely go back

The food here is really good. Had the stuffed mushrooms and they were fabulous. Our other dishes were very, very good. All food coming out of the kitchen looked worth a try! They have a full bar and good offering of wines. Upon entering I was greeted immediately by a happy hostess, sat at the bar to wait for my other party and was waited on quickly by a smiling happy bartender who knew and spoke to many people entering. Obviously this place has a good local following which speaks well for it. Then we were seated and things went downhill. Our server was slow to show up and TOTALLY DISENGAGED the entire meal. If you don't want to be there then go home! Don't ruin a otherwise perfectly good meal with your attitude! Took our order while gazing out the window, took three trips to get a glass of wine from the bar right across the aisle, set our entrees down while again gazing out the window not saying a word, brought bread halfway through the entrees. Just a shame after everyone else there being so nice and on top of things. I would return - making sure I have a different server!

There are not a lot of restaurants open late in Downtown Dallas, so we were please to find Porta Di Roma open at 11:30 pm. At this hour, they only serve a limited menu with mostly pizza, calzone/stromboli & salads. The restaurant was moderately busy, but we were seated fast, but a very friendly hostess. Our waitress made some excellent suggestions and we ordered two spinach/chicken pizzas a large salad and stromboli. Our order took a bit longer then expected to come out of the kitchen, and when the food arrived at the table, we found that the chief had made one large pizza instead of two small, which was not really a problem for us. Everyone was happy with the choices, so all-in-all, I would give Porta Di Roma a recommendation, particularly for late night dining in downtown Dallas.

We chose this on a Saturday night while visiting Dallas for the holiday weekend. It was good, not memorable and probably not worthy of a return trip if we ever come back to Downtown Dallas. We had two different types of pasta and a calzone. All were good, but just nothing truly special. Service was just so-so and they weren't even busy. Probably better options in that same area.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner at Porta Di Roma before a show at the Majestic Theatre this past weekend. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The food was great as were the drinks! We definitely recommend this place...

Don't get me wrong, the food is good and enjoyable, but I hate to go after real Italian food and ending up eating just pasta with pork sausages or Sbarro style pizza. Great place to have a nice lunch, but the distance between this food and true italian is as long as Dallas from Milano.

I recently tok my family to lunch at Porta di Roma in Downtown Dallas. My observations are simple. The atmosphere is good. Clean but comfy dining area. Our waitress was terrific. Very helpful with the menu. The food came out right away. Everything tasted great. Pizzas were made with hand prepared dough. My lasagna was better than most places. Everything tasted fresh. Overall this is good dining.

Party of 7, our waitress was awesome. The braided garlic bread is served soft and hot. The salad was fresh and crisp. I had shrimp scampi over linguine with was served with a generous number of large shrimp and excellent flavor! For dessert, I had NY cheesecake, delicious end to a great meal. Go early, we arrived at approximately 6 pm, and were seated immediately, but the restaurant was very busy when we left.

Tonight was my second time at Porta Di Roma this week. Everything about this restaurant makes for a great dining experience. Excellent food, drink, service, staff...all add up to a wonderful evening out. Put Porta Di Roma on your must list.

This place is very close to many hotels in downtown Dallas. Nice selections on the menu. Great place to to have a drink as well. The meal entree I had was the LINGUINI AL PESCATORE. Lots of seafood over pasta. Specialty home made bread comes with the meal and a salad. Highly recommend this place.

You know that I often write whilst still in 'situ' ! Oh dear, we feel conned, having been 'persuaded' whilst having a drink, to come on another night for dinner.... Awful is one word, I can think of a few other adjectives, however, I digress, food was very disappointing, old story, hot food - cold plates ! Sinewy veal, yuk ! The owner approached and asked about our experience.....he really could not have cared...classic example of passionate insincerity, I am afraid. Don't think about having more than a drink at this place, we found stacks of better places !

I ate here late one afternoon while attending a conference in Dallas. There’s a dearth of restaurants in downtown Dallas near the Adolphus hotel where I was staying and I was desperate. I was shown to a table by the manager/owner? and then promptly abandoned for at least 15 minutes. Surprising, because I was in plain view of the man and I did not see him directing staff to take care of me. The table at which I was seated was dirty and covered with crumbs and other food stuffs. When the waitress arrived and I asked her to clean the table, she was apologetic. My order for a caprese salad was filled quickly. The salad was almost inedible. It was comprised of tasteless tomatoes and huge pieces of bufala mozzarella hiding a few pieces of wilted and black basil. I never saw the waitress again, until I received my cheque.

Hostess: Efficient hostess promptly sat us. Food overall: We both ordered dinner entrees- tortellini alla vodka and chicken florentino. They included dinner salads and complimentary bread. The complimentary bread was inedible. The salad consisted of crisp iceberg lettuce, 1 small tomato wedge, and a slice of cucumber. Although the lettuce was pedestrian, it was fresh. The homemade house salad dressing is awful. Entrée size was average. My chicken looked like it have Kraft singles half melted on top of the chicken. The cheese was neither appealing nor edible, and I peeled it off. The spinach underneath the cheese was inedible. My wife’s chicken was very dry. The cream sauces were thick and salty. On the bright side, the pasta was cooked appropriately. Drinks: Happy hour specials included wine by the glasses and draft beer. The draft Goose Island IPA was a good deal at $4/pint. Overall service: Our waitress was pleasant and had a good sense of humor Overall cleanse: Somewhere between average and above average

After a long drive, we arrived in Dallas around 8:00. We hadn't had dinner yet, and by the time we checked into our hotel and got our luggage settled in, it was around 9:00 as we headed out for dinner. I had previously eaten at Porta Di Roma and had a good experience, so I walked there with my tired tweens from the hotel. We were greeted and seated and had awesome service. The food is very good - we ate a combination of salads and pizza and were also served some very nice fresh garlic bread. It was a nice start for our vacation in the area. The tweens totally loved the experience. Thank you!!

What a gem of a place! Love the food. Started with a glass of wine, calamari as an appetizer and a penne a la putanesca! Delicious!! Try it!! You will love the food !! Very affordable!!

Local very welcoming as the waitress who welcomed us. Warm, it makes you feel at home, even if the dishes are from an Americanized Italian: not bad, it's worth popping in and tasting pasta or pizza (of course, not like home!).

I ate dinner here twice this week, both times at the bar. First night I had the chicken picatta and the second time a nice, but very spicy pasta arrabbiata. The bartenders did an excellent job with service, and the kitchen was very quick. A very nice experience.

While in Dallas visiting from out of town, my son had his 13th birthday and he asked for Italian food. We stumbled upon Porta de Roma. It was pretty empty for a Friday night. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. A few minutes later, they returned to the table stating they were out of it so we ordered the cheese sticks. We then had veal Marsala and chicken Parmesan for dinner. The food was tasty and the portions were large. Unfortunately we were staying in a hotel, so taking the leftovers was not an option. We would definitely visit again if we return to Dallas.

Fabulous dinner while on business trip. The chicken pizzaiola was outstanding and the service was friendly and fast. Definitely will be back!

The food and service were ok...the location was great. I would try it again as it could have just been an off night, but for the price, I would have expected a bit more quality across the board.
Lovely Server/Ghastly Food
I feel badly for the review I am about to give, because the server was such a delight. Nonetheless, the food here is shockingly awful. I make chicken saltimboca at home, so I had to try it here. Ugh! First, the bread was strange. Knot-shaped, rubbery and flavorless. The chicken was awful. An oddly-textured chicken breast covered with melted cheese. There was a slice of questionable ham (it was supposed to be prosciutto, but I have never tasted prosciutto like this). The spinach it was on tasted like frozed spinach out of a Birds-Eye box. The side of pasta was a mushy glob of overcooked spaghetti. All of this was drowning under the mass of melted cheese. If I had produced this dish at home, it would have been sent back, for sure, with a proclamation that we were going out for dinner.
