May 05,2025. We were in Portland OR, we booked our reservation for a dinner cruise by phone on May 04, 2025 for May 05, which was very convenient. We boarded the ship at 6:30 P.M. for a 7:00 P.M. departure. We left immediately at 7:00 P.M. And dinner was promptly served. I ordered still with rice., which was a very tasty and generous portion. They served us very delicious garlic butter bread and salad before the main course. My husband ordered the chicken rice and asparagus which he very much enjoyed. The service was excellent. All of the staff was very polite and personable as if they enjoyed having you aboard. We booth highly recommend the Spirit Cruise it was a great experience and the scenery was gorgeous.

My friend and I had the best time yesterday. I have not been that relaxed in a very long while. Thank you so much for a great day on the water. The food, the service, and the scenery was amazing and I will recommend it to my friends and family.

The best day we’ve had in a long time! The entire crew was so friendly and knowledgeable about the various sites along the Willamette River. The food was outstanding. Can’t wait for our next cruise.

We went for a birthday dinner. Food was great; blackened steelhead, short ribs, chicken all great. Views are amazing, a different perspective on our surroundings! Totally would do it again!

My grandsons declared the Cinnamon Bear Breakfast Cruise the best Christmas adventure EVER!!! I bought the tickets in an online auction to support Portland teens in foster care (Thank you Portland Spirit for donating them to Howard's Heart!!). It was non-stop fun with Cinnamon Bear, a magician, a beautiful queen, a timid dragon, pirates, and fairies. Every member of the crew was in character. The activities allowed the kids to explore the ship from top to bottom and find magical fun every where they went! If you are looking for a special holiday gift to share with the special kid(s) in your life, this is it!!!

This is amazing! We usually go on Thanksgiving but decided to do a brunch. My granddaughter and I did the brunch to celebrate our birthdays. It was so great from start to finish! The boat was wonderful, food was good, but the staff and crew really make this trip the best...everyone needs to do it at least once!

We had a wonderful time and I must say the staff for the Portland spirit have been gracious and helpful through the entire experience. The food was wonderful and the views views spectacular. The pianist vocalist and the violinist provided wonderful entertainment. Thank you all so much.

Our experience was amazing! From the start, boarding and check in was a breeze, the bread was fluffy, buttery and perfect! We had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Snickers Pie and both were so good! The bathrooms were clean, the ride was smooth sailing and the staff were all an absolutely please to engage with! The narration on the deck was so interesting and the views were awesome. I will definitely going back and bring more friends!

We took the Christmas Ship Dinner Cruise and it was wonderful! Great staff, great food and drink, and great entertainment! Very fun to watch the Christmas lighted boats circle our vessel (three or four times), and see all of the bridges and city lighted up at night. Highly recommend!

The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Will look forward to going again next time we visit Portland. Could not have asked for better weather either.

For a holiday celebration with family visiting from out of town, we scheduled a Sunday brunch cruise. The food was delicious. The sun was out that afternoon so we were able to get out on the upper deck for a bit to enjoy the scenic tour. Our group was fairly large, so we appreciated being seated upstairs, since it was not as crowded as on the lower deck, and felt we had more room to spread out after eating. Staff were so helpful, and kept us filled with bottomless mimosas! Shout out to our waitress Maddy! Listening to live piano was a nice addition. A wonderful time was had by all!

The cruise was all we had hoped with the beautiful Portland sights on the Willamette. We were spoiled with excellent food, drinks, and service. The crew was fantastic taking care we had all we needed and more. The piano player was wonderful too. We will be back!

We totally enjoyed our lunch cruise on Portland Spirit. The weather was great, the staff friendly, and our meal quite tasty with generous portions. It could get spendy with charges for desserts, drinks, and appetizers but we were quite full with complimentary bread, our entree, and a basic, complimentary dessert.

Absolutely amazing night of fun, laughter, great food, and lots of sips of some delicious distilled spirits; not just whiskey! Picked up a few new flavors and favorites while enjoying the smooth trip up and down the Willamette.

We had a wonderful time!! 3rd time going.. We loved the brunch bar and yum unlimited mimosas… We were spoiled by the staff…

My husband and I took the Valentine's dinner cruise the day after we married. We had an amazing time. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I thought the value for the price paid was very good as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a romantic dinner.

WOW! We enjoyed our trip along the Willamette River, seeing the shoreline and city panorama as we had never seen it before! We enjoyed a light snack but were fully engaged in the sightseeing tour. The staff and crew were friendly, competent and efficient. We will be recommending it to friends and taking another cruise with some visiting family later this summer. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon cruise.

Just delightful! Excellent staff. Wonderful piano player. Yummy food. They made us feel welcome and the views were fantastic. We loved it!

The cruise on the river was fine. We had the admiral package. The Dinner arrived cold. Salmon steak was cold so was the orzo. We were celebrating our 40th Anniversary. So it was quite disappointing . I sent the plate back , however I couldn’t believe when I received a new plate the orzo was cold and the salmon was too! The plate was warm though. My husband’s chicken was dry and his orzo was cold. For the amount of money spent, I can honestly say we shall not return.

Portland. Is a great experience. The staff was great. The food was great. Getting on and off the ship was easy. All parts of the ship were clean. The program is informative, but there is also plenty of time to just sit and look at the scenery.. If anything, it would be nice if it were a bit longer.

The Portland Spirit cruises are next level. The views are stunning, the food is fantastic, the live music creates a festive atmosphere, and the staff are amazing. My family and I have been going for many years. We have the photo keepsakes from every cruise. Each ship is unique and the view on the river is always spectacular.

First time in Portland and what an amazing experience to have on our last evening in the middle of October! As the city lights reflected on the water, everyone relaxed, enjoyed the chill evening and shared stories from team bonding week. The gentle sway of the boat and the stunning views and history of the 9 bridges along Willamette River provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and celebration. We enjoyed it very much! I loved hearing the history behind every bridge and the surrounding area we saw on both sides of the river. The little gift shop was very nice to bring back memories of our trip. I definitely recommend anyone to board and enjoy a quiet evening on the Portland Spirit.

The cruise is great. The staff are great. We enjoyed our sightseeing trip up and down the river. The staff were very friendly and accommodating

What a fun family outing, the parking around the marina was easy and ample. The service was friendly and outstanding. The Happy Hour cruise had something for everyone drinks, food, and great narration. Highly recommend!

Great experience, went to celebrate my dad’s birthday and staff made sure it was special. Food and drinks were good and the sailing is super smooth

My partner and I loved this experience. It was different than anything we have done. The employees were so welcoming and nice. The atmosphere was calming and smooth. The food was amazing! The drinks were delicious and came very fast! We went the day after we got married and we couldn’t be happier! It was a very pleasant experience.

Genuinely surprised both me and my out-of-town guest with a high-quality meal, attentive service and a lazy boat ride down the Willamette River. Being from Portland, I enjoyed seeing the city from the river for the first time. Not as many city lights as you can see from the Marquam Bridge, but I can only imagine how fun it would be over a holiday weekend with fireworks! Nice live piano music is a plus. Great way to get a different feel of the city. Would recommend!

Interesting cruise on two beautiful rivers. The boat was uncomfortable and the engine so loud that hearing the narrator was difficult at times. There was a water jug to refill your own water bottle, but no water or other refreshments and no ice. The head (toilet) was marginal. It was a long three hours.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking the Portland Spirit trip from Portland to Astoria. The trip was very well organized by Portland Spirit, including having assigned seating at the tables which made it much easier for everyone to board and get settled in for the start of our voyage. The only "complaint" I might have is that there was too much good food - breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. The staff was very friendly, informative and helpful. The narrator had many interesting facts to tell us about the things we were seeing along the way, though at times it was difficult to hear her. There was plenty of time to walk outside or around inside for good views of the impressive scenery and take pictures. The trip started promptly at 9:00 am and we arrived in Astoria about 6:30 pm and then had a bus trip back to Portland. It was a long day for some of us oldsters but most of us didn't nap on the way back as we were too keyed up with excitement from the wonderful day we had had.

The trip was a lot of fun, the day we went there were couples, groups and families. Everyone seemed to be having fun. The narration of the area was interesting, but not overwhelmingly. I pre-ordered the hummus plate and was impressed with the presentation and quality of the food. This is a new “go-to” when we have visitors. We are scheduling a Big Foot Adventure in September!

Great way to spend a relaxing afternoon with family and see Portland! The weather was beautiful and the food was delicious. One of my grandsons is a sailor and was on leave here from out of town and we took him on lunch cruise and he loved it, we all did! I highly recommend it, whether your Portlanders or from out of town.

This was such a great experience! I read a review that said "the food was to die for" and ai totally agree! My husband had the salmon and I had the chicken parmesan. Chef's kiss! Our server, Bryan, was very attentive and personable. We even had pleasant conversations with the other guests. What a great way to relax in Portland, all while getting some history of the famous bridges!

A very enjoyable and pleasant lunch cruise, the crew was extremely friendly and the cruise was very professionally designed and executed. We took our son and grandchildren and all three generations enjoyed the river sights and the excellent lunch, including a birthday cake surprise for our 4-yr old. A great way to view Portland and environs from the water and we are already planning our next cruise. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..!!

The food was amazing and all of the stuff was great it was my wife’s and I first time on the dinner cruise and I plan on going back asap

As a Portlander we weren't expecting much but wanted to do something different for our one year anniversary . Honestly not expecting great food and were pleasantly surprised! We had a great meal, Prime Rib and Salmon both delicious! The staff was courteous and friendly and it was such a lovely and RELAXING experience! I wish we could do it every week. Highly recommended.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this dinner cruise...definitely a step above what you would expect. The ambiance was great, service was wonderful and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend this experience with family and friends!

full day cruise from Portland to Astoria. Everything was superb! From Friendly and very helpful staff to delicious meals to incredible scenery. I was on this kind of day cruise 3 times now. Strongly recommend it to anybody who wants scenery, historical information, great food and relaxation!!!

Enjoyed the lunch cruise. We had 6 in our party. The staff/crew were friendly and helpful! We had a person with a wheelchair and they were very accommodating and the bottom level was very accessible. The food was very fresh and delicious (more than our expectation). I used the phone app with my earbuds but the connection wasn’t great and there isn’t narration on the bottom deck as there is a pianist who played during lunch. However the top deck had a loudspeaker you could hear narration. Very enjoyable for our senior party of 6. Thanks

This is my second year bringing 3 of my grandchildren and we all love it. They keep the children busy with activities and entertainment. Family tradition!!!!

I had a great time on this two hour cruise up and down the river from the Moda to Lake Oswego and back. The service was spot on. The rack of lamb and Bloody Mary were a delight. The scenery was gorgeous, and the company was lovely. I volunteered to share my solo table for 4 with a couple of other travelers. Oh and the piano man! Such amazing talent! He can play anything! I’ll do this again someday.

Everything was amazing on this cruise. I have a knee injury and they were able to wheel me up and down the ramp with respect and dignity. They were so welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing! The drinks were amazing! The servers were amazing. The view was amazing. I had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to try the dinner cruise in the future. I recommend this 10/10.

This tour was FANTASTIC! Very friendly staff. Great service and food. The atmosphere was quite pleasant and calming with the live piano player. The food exceeded expectations. The view and scenery is probably some of the best you could have, residual if you enjoy being on the water, like myself. My wife and I aemt to celebrate pir 10 wedding aniversary. Even though we went in late January, the weather was great for the time of year. It would have been nice had there been some heaters out on deck to off set the chill in the air, but that wasn't a deal breaker at all. Overal, I would say the whole experience was fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone for any occasion, including a simple date night! My wife and I were both very pleased with the experience. With gratitude and kind regards, Some kat on the internet

We enjoyed our brunch cruise on the Portland Spirit. Great scenery & next time we will spend more time on the upper deck to hear more of the history of what we were seeing as we sailed along. The staff was great and made my sister's 90th birthday celebration even more special. Thanks to all.

Wash a great brunch! Our Server Emmi Rose, was exceptional - People wrote that this was expensive, but, the level of staffing and quality of food was value for the money. The Captain and all of his staff were helpful and courteous to all. Thanks for a great trip!

AN EXCELLENT AND BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE. I'D JUST ADD THAT THE MENU INCLUDES THE DRINK. SUPER GOOD REST. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE.

We went on the afternoon sightseeing tour and it was wonderful. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and I wasn't expecting much so I was surprised how good it was. The boat is large and has three levels. It was a very smooth ride. It was a beautiful day and the cruise along the Willamette River was a perfect afternoon.

We really had an amazing time. The food was awesome! I didn't even know we had started going it was so smooth. I could have stayed outside on the deck the whole time Perfect Christmas day!

The dinner cruise was to celebrate my wife's birthday. Every part of this experience was outstanding. The entire crew was attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent, my wife stating that this was one of the best meals she has ever eaten. The trip itself on the Willamette River was smooth, peaceful and enjoyed the sights. We highly recommend this experience and plan on another trip.

Our dragon boat team went on the brunch cruise yesterday and had the best time! The food was delicious-- every thing I ate was amazing. The unlimited mimosas kept flowing, and we were very well cared for no mater what part of the boat we were on. Thank you for making our end-of-season celebration a big win and our new tradition!! See you next year!

This was our 3rd trip on the Portland Spirit and couldn’t have had a better experience.. The crew was nice , food was great and enjoyed the scenery…

My wife an I had planned an enjoyable anniversary event on August 19, but were extremely disappointed. The issues began before the boat left. Following the directions to hear the narration through my earbuds, I received fraud alerts for each the two credit cards I tried. One card denied as fraudulent a charge of $38. The ability to use earbuds was listed multiple times as free. Needless to say, we had no narration, which made the sightseeing portion pretty much boring and meaningless especially since about half the trip was after dark (I have mobility issues and was unable to climb the steps to other two floors). The meals that we received fell below the standards for airplane or hospital food. My wife enjoyed the steelhead, but the rest of the plate was barely edible. I wish I could say the same about my lamb dish. The lettuce in the salad was wilted and there was barely enough dressing to see, certainly not enough to begin dressing the salads. Our server was one of the worst I have ever had. She was pleasant and had a nice singing voice, but was inattentive. When we boarded we were told that they wanted to get the food out of the way early, but our desert was delivered (after we asked for it) about 2 hours into the 2½ hour trip. The tables around us had finished their entrees before ours showed up. When they finally came, they were for a different table. After that was corrected, she gave my plate to my wife, and mine to her. When we asked for our desert, she said they were still working on it and that it would be up soon. Several minutes later she bought us slices of factory-made cheesecake with a half strawberry and a drizzle of fruit syrup—obviously prepared well in advance.

Great food and great service. We did the Christmas Day buffet and it was amazing. Highly recommend a cruise on the Portland Spirit! Even though it was dark we had great views of the city!

My husband and I went on the Portland-Astoria cruise yesterday and it was AWESOME! We thought we were paying for the sights and views but we were super impressed by the quality of the service and the food. The hospitality was outstanding and the food was far better than we had hoped! The food was great and the portions were very generous! The historian had some really good info and insights into the area and the activities were fun! Thank you for a wonderful day! It was worth every penny!

A relaxing way to spend Thanksgiving! The food was delicious. The piano music festive and the ship staff very helpful and accommodating for help up and down the ramp with a wheelchair. Highly recommend!

Wonderful time. Greeted by the Captain and seated promptly. Peter, our waiter was great, friendly, helpful and attentive to our wishes. Loved the observation deck. Food was delicious.

Great experience! The dinner was amazing! The weather cooperated so we took advantage of going out on the upper decks. The piano player was terrific! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful!

The Portland Spirit dinner cruise was amazing! We upgraded to ensure a window seat as we were celebrating our daughter’s birthday. The food was delicious and abundant and included dessert. When booking, know that you don’t have to preorder everything. We were able to add on an appetizer and drinks once we were on the boat. The service was outstanding, from the check in process with the captain to the off boarding when we returned to dock. Our waiter was the perfect blend of attentive and making sure our needs/wants were met but not overbearing. The baby grand piano was played by an excellent musician who for the entire cruise. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend you do this! Very fun and relaxing and now we want to do a daytime cruise!

Yesterday my husband and I had the pleasure of taking our two out of town guests on the Happy Hour cruise! This was their first time to be aboard and our fifth. It’s a lovely way to see the city for visitors and for locals! We all loved doing this! The captain and crew are very friendly, and the bartenders mix some great cocktails! Next time our friends visit us we will do the brunch cruise to give them an even different experience because it is my husband’s favorite! However, we like doing the Happy Hour cruise when our time with our company is limited. It’s the perfect way to show off our beautiful city!

Very exciting and relaxing cruise! Nice and attentive staff and good food too. there were 2 very talented pianists and the river was so beautiful.

The food was wonderful, the pianist was a delight and the views from the water were lovely. Everybody was kind and efficient. It was a really awesome experience as a special treat.

A magical evening on the Willamette River. Food was excellent and the service was great. Live piano music added to the scenic view out the large windows.

The cruise was all we had hoped with the beautiful Portland sights on the Willamette. We were spoiled with excellent food, drinks, and service. The crew was fantastic taking care we had all we needed and more. The piano player was wonderful too. We will be back!

My wife and I took the dinner cruise for our 25th anniversary while visiting Portland. This was a great way to see the river coast line while enjoying a meal. The service was great and the food was good. While there maybe “better” restaurants this was a unique experience and money well spent.

Seamless experience, start to finish. Excellent and friendly crew and waitstaff. The piloting was perfection...never once experienced anything remotely resembling motion discomfort. In fact, after making the second turnaround, my wife asked when we were going to turn around. I said, "We just did." She said, "Are you sure? I didn't notice a thing." The pianist chose a very nice repertoire of mellow tunes. Nothing felt rushed. And the food was quite tasty. (Steelhead salmon melted in my mouth) All around great way to spend our 28th wedding anniversary!

The atmosphere and environment on board are fantastic. This was my wife's birthday dinner, we had a warm and romantic evening

My wife and I had a great time .The staff the cruise and the pictures they took were wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone.

Nice way to spend an evening. Thanksgiving dinner was a treat. Would recommend to anyone. Food was good (plates were small) and service great! Excellent date night anytime.

This is a great place for any special occasion, I reserved it for my graduation with all my family, and we had a great time. The staff was quite friendly and helpful all the time. The views in the upper deck are beautiful, and you can go into the captain's cabin at around the mid point of the trip.

1.5 hours Happy Hour Sightseeing cruise was a very good way to see Portland and its numerous bridges from the river on a sunny and warm afternoon.

The Portland Spirit 2 hour lunch cruise is simply enchanting and a “must do” as part of the “Portland experience”. The boat is spacious and comfortable with several levels and alcoves. The views of the city, river and surround are excellent. The staff is top notch. And the cuisine is superb. Would highly recommend taking this cruise!

It's a good way to see a different side of the Portland area, a quiet, entertaining meal, we had the fish which was very good. The views were great, seeing the river and bridges, with all the houses on the river.

Great food and staff. Was really nice everything out and reasonable price. Definitely will go again and highly recommend

Best ever. Great food, nice server, and workers, the pianist was a delight . Celebrated boyfriends bday 40th and my 50th.

Our family went on the Christmas Day Cruise. We were impressed on every aspect. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was fantastic and the boat ride was relaxing. It was definitely a memorable experience.

Wonderful experience to see Portland and learn its rich history. Convenient parking, great food and wonderful service. The manager Cory did a fabulous job hosting our party and Will our server was exceptional. Highly recommend for a memorable dinner cruise.

We had the best time on the Portland Spirit for the Meet Cinnamon Bear event! I went with my husband and our 5-year-old daughter, and from the moment we stepped on board, we were blown away by how organized and welcoming everything was. The staff and crew were incredible—so attentive, so kind, and fully in character the entire time, which made the whole experience feel extra magical. Food was served right away, drinks were offered throughout, and everything ran so smoothly. A special shout-out to the Red Fairy, who absolutely stole the show for us. She was warm, engaging, and truly made our daughter’s day. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and a very happy kiddo!

Got this as a thank you from my boss and got the admirals package so my husband and I didn’t have to worry about anything. The crew was amazing. Food was delicious.

It was my first time on cruse ride. Every single crews are very welcome. We had cheese dish. It was vey tasty and pleasant. I recommend for whom want to share the same experience.

My fiancé and I were celebrating our engagement and this was absolutely perfect! The food, the atmosphere, the view, everything was just jaw dropping perfect! Absolutely recommend giving this a try!

What a wonderful experience! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the boat was perfect. We went to celebrate a birthday and the staff goes out of their way to make sure we enjoyed it. We will definitely go again!!!

This was the highlight of our trip. The food was nice. Rain kept us mostly inside, but the narration on bridges was very interesting. Bring earbuds.

I booked the lunch cruise for my Granddaughter's birthday, with window seating and ordered the boarding photo. The crew were so welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxing and the lunch was perfect. The photographer did a great job and we loved our souvenir photo! My Granddaughter took it all in we had a very memorable experience to treasure for years to come. Thank you !!

The lunch cruise was really nice! We went mid-week. The food was excellent - better than I expected on a boat. The service was very good, the piano music was nice, and it was fun sailing down the river and seeing the sights. A great way to eat good food & spent quality time with friends or family.

This was our first brunch cruise celebrating our anniversary, and we enjoyed it very much. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was good. No complaints. Would recommend doing at least once for the experience. Likely to do it again for our next special occasion.

This cruise is perfect for any special occasion. We went for my daughter’s birthday. She was very happy. The staff were so nice. They were sure to acknowledge us and make us feel happy. I think we want to make this a birthday tradition. The cruise was very nice, i was worried about feeling the boat move but we didn’t it was a smooth cruise. I’m happy i decided to reserve a table for us on the Portland spirit in December. The staff was all dressed up too.

Excellent buffet, views, and service provided by Lacey. Piano music was wonderful! Highly recommend! Huge variety of food choices, salads, seafood, and delicious breakfast items.

Overall, good experience. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Entertainment was fair. Advertised at Sunset cruise but in January it was well past dark when we left. not a dealbreaker though. two hours for me would’ve been better than 2 1/2. Slightly overpriced IMO.

We went on the Portland Spirit dinner cruise and it was a fantastic experience. We got there early and we were thankful that they let everyone board a little earlier. We were also very happy with our seats. We didn't upgrade to a window seat but we got one anyways! Our waiter (shout out to Mori) was extremely friendly and on top of things. The dinner was delightful. We were expecting rubber chicken honestly, but the menu selections were amazing. We were able to choose from chicken, short ribs, rack of lamb, steelhead, or vegetarian. So many options! The foccacia bread was my favorite and the desserts were good too. My favorite part of the whole trip was probably the LIVE MUSIC. There were two pianists who played popular songs for 2.5 hours straight and it really made a HUGE difference. Well done, Portland Spirit. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the view from the observation deck were quite amazing. I was also expecting to pay an arm and a leg for parking across the street, but it was not bad -- only $8!

Very nice cruise, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The lunch service, though, was VERY SLOW. Some tables did not even get their dessert until the boat was docked at the end. Best advice - put your meal order in right away, and then enjoy the outside views. Otherwise, you'll be waiting inside quite a while for your meal to be served and missing the outside deck views.

It’s a family tradition over several decades to sail on Portland Spirit and we are always happy with the crew and service. Treat yourself to a special trip for no special reason if you can 🫶🏼

We had such a good time! The food was good, the staff were attentive & kind, the views were pretty, even the bathrooms were nice! A great outing for any age group!

This was an amazing way to see the sites in history of the Willamette Valley leisurely cruise with lunch pianist I really loved how they had the narration on the top deck. Go for the sites and not for the food.

Tickets are available online and on site. We had booked the happy hour tour. The crew is very friendly and helpful. The snacks are for every taste and fresh. The ship is well maintained. Seeing Portland from the water is something special and recommended.

Cinnamon Bear Cruise Very well done. Kids loved it. Staff was very engaging. Queen Melissa was especially nice. Grandkids are still talking about it.

It was another great ryde on the Portand Spirit. It's so much fun riding aboard this vessel. No matter how short or long the excursion, it never gets old. I've had the pleasure of celebrating with friends for many day and evening events. The festivities, food, libations on each deck and the views make it a time to remember. I will definitely cruise with the Portand Spirit again and again.

A fabulous way to see a different view of Portland’s landscape along the beautiful Willamette River. Quality of service & meal was outstanding, as well the vessel is excellent ship-shape and restrooms very clean. Added delight was a non-stop pianist & a talented singing staff at the mic! Climate controlled dining levels and open-air top deck an added plus. Definitely will try a dinner cruise on our next to Portland for a night time perspective. Enjoy!

We so enjoyed our recent Wine on the Water cruise on the Portland spirit. We went with two friends all of us enjoyed the incredible selection of wines. We had 14 tickets to sample wines and none of us finished them all! As usual, the crew was fantastic. The food you could order went from a great sampling platter, to wonderful meals (even though it said light fare!) We will be back.

Born/raised in Portland and had yet to ever go on the Spirit. My loss. This was one of the BEST cruises we've been anywhere in the world. Great food, great staff, and and all around great tour. Bartender was also incredible. Having grown up crossing all of these bridges, it was great to see them from a waterview. Nice history lessons from the speakers on the top deck. Tour is perfect for locals and even better for tourists. Can't wait to go again.

My 11 yr old grandson, last year ( Sept.2004) took the 1 hr cruise and loved it, and talked about taking the 2 hr lunch crew the next year, and hear we are keeping my word to him and loving the 2hr lunch cruise. And best of all for him he had an extra gramma with us. Lovely and friendly crew. Great and delicious food 😋 it was so nice to see all the mansions along the water fronts 😲

Had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and staff were amazing. Will definitely do it again. My only complaint is that the piano was a little loud, had trouble hearing the servers. But I am a little hard of hearing. Maybe just me.

Charming Portland experience. We celebrated family birthday and the crew was very attentive and kind. Took photos of us at our table but also offered to take a group photo outside at the bow of the boat. The fall colors were gorgeous, food was solid, and service fantastic. We especially loved it was not a super commercialized experience, no up-selling. Felt very local (and we are locals!)

WOW!! What an experience!! I went with my boss and coworkers for our staff party and we were blown away. The spacing in the ship was great! They had a lot of people on board but it did not feel over crowded at all. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the live piano music was an added bonus. The food was spectacular and the buttered run hot cocoa was delicious. We went for the Christmas ship parade and the view was fantastic! Such an amazing experience and i will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a great evening!

We were aboard t he spirit for a cruse to Astoria. An amazing trip to h efo9d was excellent and the waiters were friendly and efficient! Our waiter Ryan Moon was the best makingthe trip Memorable !.highly recommend. a trip onthe sprit

Wonderful ride with a great view of the Portland and Gorge landscape from the river perspective. Our guide was humorous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who comes to visit Portland. Great value!!

Phenomenal experience! Very generous portions of steelhead (my wife had the lamb & loved it) and they even let my 3 year old son "DRIVE" the boat after dinner for a few minutes! Captain Todd made my kiddo's day (replete with an "Outstanding Seamanship" certificate) The wait staff was lovely, attentive and kind. The pianist was tasteful and talented and even acknowledged some of our song requests. I've lived in Portland my whole life and finally hopped on board this icon of the Willamette with my father, wife and kiddo for a belated father's day treat and with the interesting narration of Portland & the history of the river (something we do for a living) and the great hospitality, we all agreed we'll be making it a yearly event. I would highly recommend the Portland Spirit to all who visit our hometown. Thanks to the behind the scenes staff as well who were very attentive and accommodating. I am a tour guide myself and own my own business here in Portland and needless to say, was very impressed! 11/10. Well done crew!

Our 7 and 9 year old granddaughters had a blast. The magic show was their favorite. The breakfast was good while the cinnamon bread was amazing. We even got seconds. Storytime with Queen Melissa was interactive. They got to visit the captain driving the boat and meet Crazy Q the dragon. We saw ages 2-12 enjoying themselves. Parents could purchase cocktails at the bar. Weather was beautiful so we could walk around on the deck too. Going next year for sure ! Love the pictures they took and shared with us! Our youngest was nervous about going on a boat but that was gone immediately upon boarding.

It was a beautiful Fall day on the Willamette and Columbia River on our cruise on the Portland Spirit from Portland to Astoria. The food was tasty, especially the blackened salmon Caesar salad for lunch. Reasonable price for a bottle of wine. Very enjoyably sitting on the deck on top. Bring layers, hat and gloves. Even on a sunny day it got chilly. The views were gorgeous and a different perspective from the river. The staff was excellent, attentive and courteous. Bus ride back to Portland on a motor coach. I highly recommend this trip.

Very nice brunch cruise for sure! The food served was exceptional, and portions were large. While cruising, you can hear the local history discussion over the speaker system, except in the dining area, so you would have to listen via headphones and an app that you can download. The dining area had continuous piano music that was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and personable. 2 hours seemed to be a bit short and quick, but we were never rushed. Parking is on your own to find. Several pay parking in the areas. Ours was $14 for the whole day. No parking at the dock area. 1-2 block walk. There were several older passengers onboard (like us…) It is noteworthy to mention that getting on and off the boat requires walking down and back up a VERY steep ramp for about 100 ft. +/-. (30% grade or so) No assistance was available. (Unless you asked maybe) steps to the other decks on the boat are steep as well. Wheelchairs would be able to access the boat, and remain on the dining deck. Overall, the experience was great and we would do it again.

treated myself to a solo lunch cruise with Portland Spirit and it was everything I needed. Beautiful views, smooth sailing, great food, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The staff were kind and attentive, and the whole experience felt peaceful and unhurried

LOVELY happy hour cruise. Beautiful sights, great drinks and informative and friendlly staff. Great way to see Portland!!

This cruise exceeded my expectations! The service was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious! And I learned so much about Portland and the surrounding area.

A must if you're in Portland! We went for our anniversary weekend. We reserved a window seat which was so nice and pleasant during dinner. I didn't realize how many bridges are a long the Willamette river.

I work as a travel nurse, my cousin was visiting Portland, as the designated tour guide I suggested the Portland Spirit Sunday brunch cruise, Janet W., a life long Oregonian had never sailed we asked that she join us, she so much fun, we had a great time, the buffet was wonderful I mean the food was good, my cousin who is a very particular eater did not have one complaint from the meal selection to the endless Momosa's, she loved it all, the ride smooth and relaxing, or in her words "tranquil", all our thumbs up for our server Chloe, she was great, thanks for helping me to ensure my family had a wonderful time. Can't wait to do it all again. Regenia W.

My husband and I chose the dinner cruise to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time. We chose to be seated by a window for an extra cost . My husband chose the salmon dish and I chose the beef ribs. Both meals were very tasty. My ribs were served over mashed potatoes, however I would have preferred my ribs with a little less mashed potatoes and some veggies. Our meals didn’t come with anything to drink other than ice water. Coffee and soft drinks were considered as extra and we had to pay for those drinks. We think that the meals should include something to drink a long with it. The AC vents underneath us was very cold, maybe they could adjust the temperature. Many people were wearing their jackets and sweaters. Other than that we enjoyed our trip, the service was very good.

I had an excellent experience on the Portland Spirit Cruise! My husband and I went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The entire journey was flawless — the food was delicious and definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for. The music added to the relaxing atmosphere, and the views were absolutely stunning—breathtaking scenery that made the cruise truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable outing on the water!

The staff were amazing and the trip was so relaxing, fun, and extremely enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Of course, being on the ship and enjoying the beauty of the water just made the night so special if you haven’t been on the Portland spirit yet you should make it a goal!

We celebrated my husband's 75th birthday with Portland Spirit's champagne brunch cruise on Sunday, February 1st. There were 5 in our party and it was a wonderful experience! The Captain approached our group dockside and let us know we could board early which was very helpful as we had requested wheelchair service. He even helped get my husband comfortable in the wheelchair and assisted the young lady using a weighted machine to get the wheelchair up and down the steep ramp to the ship. We were immediately welcomed aboard and seated at our window table. Our server, Devon, was outstanding and extremely helpful! The buffet was beautifully laid out with delicious foods, and included vegetarian and gluten free options. The carver at the meat station was lively and accommodating. The maitre d was very helpful in answering food questions. We enjoyed the pianist onboard and his skill at playing all the requests. My husband and I even took a turn around the dance floor to our song "As Time Goes By" ! We also were very impressed by the professionalism of the photographer. We requested a second copy of our group photo and he efficiently delivered it to us within minutes! The itinerary was interesting and our many questions about what we were seeing were answered graciously by our server. Making the reservation for this wonderful experience was very easy and convenient. Lauren, at the Portland Spirit's reservation office was efficient and professional and able to answer all my questions. All in all, I would definitely recommend The Portland Spirit experience!

My daughter and I had a great weekend vacation! I he Spirit of Portland Sunday breakfast cruise was such a highlight and great adventure! The food was top notch! The service excellent! The views and surroundings were very enjoyable. We had a great time talking, exploring, eating and enjoying great piano music! This is an experience you won’t want to miss! They are excellent in disabled services!!! From a golf cart ride to the parking lot to the entrance of the ship, accessible bathroom and maneuverable buffet table, they made it an enjoyable experience for the disabled senior.

The scenery, the fare and the experience was extraordinary.... we had a great time... The dessert and of course the meal was excellent too..

Everything was absolutely amazing… except the food. Disappointed in the food quality. Had to stop somewhere after to eat.

Definitely best experience in Portland ever! Food was amazing, all the crew so kind and Professional. I would go 100 times more.

Great experience! Wonderful staff, food and service! We easily found parking nearby. The river scenery was beautiful, and the luncheon was very well organized with nice options.

We went on the lunch cruise on memorial day. The check in was smooth and service excellent. We had a chicken, beef, and a pork meal. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, but thought the vegetables were very overcooked. Cheesecake comes with your meal, and others are available for extra price. They were okay, the chocolate cake was good. The only thing I would change is soda, iced tea, coffee are all extra on top of the $70 per person for lunch. We did add shrimp cocktails and salads when making reservations, those add @$20 per person but were worth it. It's a fun outing for a special occasion. It's worth the experience.

Super time. Great venue for a birthday. Outstanding staff and delicious food. Can't wait for summer when we can be out on deck enjoying the Willamette River.

If you want to see the Christmas ships parade and be apart of it - this is the best way to do it!!! What a great experience - made even better by the great staff and wonderful food!! Every seat offers the best opportunity to see the Christmas ships and enjoy the view of down town Portland and the waterfront. Can't wait for next Christmas to do it again! Thank you so much for a truly memorable evening!!

My daughter and I had an amazing dinner on board the Portland Spirit, the food and service was impeccable and the ambience was perfect. What a wonderful way to celebrate our birthdays, we both highly recommend doing a dinner cruise.

We had a wonderful time on the Christmas boat cruise with Spirit Cruises in Portland. From the moment we boarded, the festive décor, holiday music, and beautiful views of the city along the river created a truly magical atmosphere. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. The food and drinks were enjoyable, and cruising past Portland’s waterfront lights was a perfect way to celebrate the season. This cruise is a lovely holiday experience—relaxing, cheerful, and a great way to make special Christmas memories. Highly recommend!

Wait staff were friendly. Food and drinks were served promptly with attention to guests throughout the evening. I particularly liked the variety of meals all of which were perfectly prepared. I could not have asked for a better experience for my family & friends on this special birthday occasion.

Such a pleasant Valentine’s Day cruise. One of the smoothest boat rides I have ever experienced. My wife and I booked the cruise for the novel first time experience and we loved it very much. Would definitely recommend the food and the drinks and the entire experience. Great way to see the river and Portland in all her beauty.

Great crew and great trip. Got to see Portland from the river and it was wonderful. Beautiful day to be on a boat on the water. Thank you.

We took the all-day cruise from Portland to Astoria. Was one of the best all day outings we have had! The scenery along the Columbia River, the staff, and the food were all spectacular! We plan to do it again.

A very pleasant experience on board, the drinks and food were very good, the sailing was smooth and pleasant, while it was raining the sun came out and we were able to enjoy a complete rainbow, the captain is very kind as well as the crew, I came with my mother to celebrate Christmas and it was truly incredible. Thank you!

The Portland Spirit was something I've always wanted to do and finally did it! What a great Summer evening! The food and staff were great, the trip was even better. Getting to see the river from that perspective was awesome! I highly recommend The Portland Spirit for a date night.

I highly recommend taking just the tour getting a drink, going to the third level and just watching the view! One of the best ways to see my city from a different view!!!

My husband and I did the cruise from Portland to Astoria. A 9 hour cruise. We always wanted to see what our Oregon looked like from the river and we were not disappointed. But what we hadn’t anticipated was how well we were treated ON the voyage. They sat us down at our own white linen covered table for a full breakfast and then a full delicious lunch. Two hours before we docked, we then had a buffet of sandwiches and soup. Our server, Kendyl, did an amazing job of keeping our water glasses filled and coffee and tea coming when requested. The whole staff was very helpful. They had a narrrator/educator along to enhance the experience. We would definitely do this cruise again.

Excellent way to see Portland, OR from the Wilamette River. Staff and crew were professional and attentive the whole time. Piper was our server and made sure we had all we needed. Despite the unusually hot (95+ degrees) we were comfortable in the cabin and the river breezes easily cooled us while on th e outside upper levels! The pianist provided a great ambiance. As far as the menu goes they had great choices for our vegetarian family members and everything else was fabulous, too.

Super friendly staff and excellent dinner! The pianist was so enjoyable, definitely a special Christmas dinner choice for a small family!

Went for Xmas brunch. Felt quite steep, especially with how expensive alcohol is (friends who had been before told us it included bottomless mimosas, so they must have stopped doing that). It was fun and all, just not something I'd necessarily recommend for the price.

Great boat ride and commentary about Portland! We took the Happy Hour boat ride and enjoyed it tremendously. Lots of free ice water on all 3 levels.

Great activity for family at an affordable price. Foods and friendly services abroad were wonderful. In addition, you get the see beautiful Portland along the water. Definitely would recommend to families and friends.

Very good food, piano music , singing, narration absolutely perfect. Great crew wonderful sights and bridges. Bathrooms are clean. Good value.

My husband and I treated ourselves to the Wine on the Water cruise. It was much more organized and professional than we expected. We had a lovely time and met a mother/daughter duo sitting next to us that we found super friendly and fun. We had lots in common and will possibly keep in touch. I highly recommend you try a Spirit of Portland cruise and park in the World Trade Center building. You just walk across the street and the parking fee was only $6

It truly was a wonderful adventure. The piano music was beautiful, but a little loud, made it hard to talk and hear other guests. The food was delicious, but yet a bit salty. Highly recommend this trip.

We had the best date night at the 'Spirits on the Spirit' Cruise! It didn't even rain, so it was a perfect night for a sunset cruise, which included sampling spirits from local distilleries and providing a magical front-row view of the downtown city lights. 10 out of 10, would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional! We will definitely be back! Seeing the Christmas Ship lights was just icing on the cake! Oh and whether you opt for the cake or cheesecake, you won't be disappointed!!

The food was great and experience was also great. We couldn't even feel the boat turn around. The outside view was nice because there wasn't anything to obstruct the view and the weather was really nice.

Our group of 7 did the Happy Hour Sightseeing trip; it was a very enjoyable way to spend 90 min. I highly recommend this trip. It was a lovely day in Portland and we enjoyed seating on the observation deck; we moved along the Willamette River while getting a tour of the area we were passing. Pleasant staff made the trip!

If you want to get up front and cozy with the Christmas ships, this is the way to do it. It's worth the splurge. I agree that the blackened steelhead was amazing. It is true that the stairs to the observation deck are steep and there don't seem to be accommodations, so if you're in that position, rely on the window seats. I waited till the last minute to book and I think they were all gone.

Such a cute experience! The kids loved it, some have been 3 years in a row & enjoy it every time. Will be back next year with all the kiddos again 🥹

We really enjoyed our Wine on Water event. I was fun to cruise up the river and take in the scenery, all while sipping on some nice wines. Would do this again in 2026.

Everything from start to finish was exceptional! The staff is very attentive and kind, especially our server, Kendall. We never made it outside because it was just too cold for us (from southern CA), however, the view from the dinner table was satisfying enough.

My sisters and I had time to spare on our multi-state adventure, so we booked the cruise for fun. We couldn't have been more delighted with the experience. The staff was friendly and kind. The lunch choices were delicious, beverages cold and inviting, and the sights were incredible. I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon. Affordable...a great value for the price.

7 Wonders of the Gorge was wonderful! 3.5 hours of bridges, rivers, information and beauty. Loved that it was shaded in the boat - headsets were helpful. It was a wonderful way to spend my morning!

Semi-enjoyed the cruise. Crew and wait staff were accommodating. Meal was less then enjoyable. A beef dish that was passable. Potatoes that tasted of sodium overload. Mixed vegetables that were dominated by large chunks of zucchini. My wife had the steelhead which upon reflection , should have been my choice. Otherwise, a perfect day. Clear skies. Although a warm day (90 degrees) the cool breezes on the upper deck was refreshing. Would have liked to have heard the history that broadcast on the upper deck channeled into the dining area, although I can understand the reluctance due to curtailing individual conversations. Still, overall, a pleasant experience. Will do it again sometime, just not order the beef.

Great evening on the water. Food was good. Music was nice. My fiancé and I had a nice time. Staff was friendly. In the end, I thought it was worth the money and very glad we went!

It was great, super chill and the food was great. Karsten was our server and we thought he made the night a really special time, our friends were visiting so it was a great time to show them the city on a monday night.

We two couples enjoyed an afternoon sightseeing cruise and appreciated going outside when desired to see the beauty and history along the Willamette River. A couple of us sampled the drink menu and remarked that the drinks were delicious. Each staff member and captain were gracious, friendly and helpful. I am 81 and hadn't expected to need assistance getting on the ship but found the steep incline of the ramp was too steep for me to navigate. The crew quickly arranged a wheelchair to get me on the boat and later assisted me when I disembarked. I really appreciated their looking out for me. By the way, I had no trouble going up the stairs to the next level. Photos are taken of everyone who boards. We liked our photo so now have a night souvenir of our experience. I would recommend this for a relaxing afternoon.

Our dinner cruise was awesome! The food was much better than expected, and the service was also top-notch. The environment, which included live piano, was relaxing, and the views off of the Willamette River were beautiful and impressive. I highly recommend, as we had a wonderful time!

It was so fun and great view of all the fall trees & color seemed like it went fast would love to have a longer one overall great service had a wheelchair great service for that! Food was great!

Our group of 11 took a Christmas dinner cruise and we had a great time. Service was friendly and efficient, food was good, drinks were terrific and there were special touches, like a piano player entertaining throughout the evening. The Willamette was a beautiful cruise with colorful lighted Christmas boats sailing by and, of course, the wonderful and u inquest bridges. Highly recommend and working with Letitia, the group booking manager, was so easy. Not inexpensive but definitely worth it!

The food was delicious wait staff friendly and available and the boat trip was fun and relaxing. Every aspect of the trip was well organized

Amazing Experience! Came with my husband celebrated our Anniversary! Brought our 2 children. They absolutely loved it. Also the food was delishios! Service was outstanding and the view was phenomenal!!!!

Great way to see the City landscape from on the water. Very easy boarding and departing process. The whole restaurant is table service. You can pay extra for certain appetisers. First course was Salad with rosemary bread then there was a choice of about 4/5 main courses. We had Chicken and Steak as our mains and they were great. We both had New York Cheesecake for dessert although you can pay a supplement for other dessert choices, Good selection of beers and wine, Staff were friendly and service was good.

My wife and I lived in Portland for 20 years and always loved taking the boat ride. Now we return and visit and friends and still go on the boat ride! The Portland Spirit is a perfectly Portland thing to do, you get a relaxing two hour cruise to break up your day. It was raining but who cares, enjoy the view. The food isn't great but you don't go on this cruise for the food.
Awesome experience!
Always have an amazing time on their cruises. The food, drinks and service are great, the views even better. Whether your a local or visitor, can't go wrong.
