This is kind of a pretty place to eat at. It’s so blue and full of interesting art and chic decor. Our server was charming and funny which made for a perfect brunch with the girls. Lasagna, just look at it will you? It tastes as good as it looks, definitely go for it. I think the mimosas were bottomless. I can’t be certain but I know they were good. Good idea to make a reservation, it’s a regular stop for the locals.

We absolutely loved our Easter dinner at Positano. Friendly service and the best food! We had the seafood salad (to die for!!) followed by crab cake zucchini (mouthwatering!!). My husband had the sirloin pappardelle; the serving was a bit small but still, great food. I definitely recommend this restaurant! Price wise it's reasonable!

The service and staff is incredible and so warm. The food is the best in the city! We had grilled octupus which was done perfectly. The Bronzino was amazing and sautéed spinach with garlic was excellent! Will come back regularly now with my husband and girlfriends.

Excellent spot to grab a bite and a few drinks. Very cool decor and beautiful multinational crowd. Love the Sunday brunch. Must go for brunch. Dinner menu is a little difficult unless you are adventourous.

My son and had the pleasure of eating at Positano Coast on a recent trip to Philadelphia. We were so pleased with the result. The decor is open and airy while being welcoming. The menu was not extensive but had plenty of choices. There was a raw bar and warm appetizer section, pastas selections, and entrees, which were mainly seafood dishes. We chose the grilled octopus and the diver scallops, which were both excellent. We also very much enjoyed the seared tuna and veal tenderloin. They were prepared perfectly. Dessert was also noteworthy and decadent, especially the chocolate mousse. My only negative feedback was the portion sizes were small. I would highly recommend a visit to Positano Coast.

This restaurant delivered a meal to my mom on Mother's Day and she loved it! Ravioli, Caesar Salad, Meatballs and Chocolate Mousse. Perfect!

I can have no complaints about our food here, the crab starter and fish main course were really tasty, the wine was passable though my choice could have been better, service was friendly and efficient but why play dreadful duff-duff music that resonates in the background and kills conversation? It is a major drawback in a pleasant restaurant.

We ended up choosing this restaurant over Bookbinder's and we are glad we did. The food was excellent! Well cooked, innovative and beautifully presented. The decor is modern and it's a bit noisy, but we sat outside where it was much quieter.

Had the most fabulous time tonight at the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding! We had antipasto, Caesar salad, choice of 4 entrees and tiramisu. Positano Coast accommodated our power needs for a projector for a PowerPoint, let us run a tab for the liquor and let people add on from the menu. Highly recommend their professional service, delicious food and lovely setting.

I am always hearing about this place and I finally went for lunch! Not a big lunch crowd. We were the only table for a while. By the time we left there were 2 other tables. Atmosphere: it's nice-ish. I think it probably looks nicer and fancier in the dark. There are cool backlit pictures of the Amalfi Coast inside. The bathrooms are dated. There is an outdoor seating area which offers a nice view of the city. It was breezy and tolerable for outdoor dining even on an oppressively hot day. I'm sure it's hard to keep outdoor things looking nice but the tables look like they can stand to be replaced. Maybe a color other than white since white shows so many imperfections? There are also very uncomfortable clear plastic chairs. I'm sure long lasting, weather proof chairs are hard to come by but these are not comfortable and they don't look fancy. Service: The hostess allowed us to sit wherever we wanted. She was friendly, our waitress was friendly and everyone else helping us was kind. I was surprised at the amount of staff present at such a slow time of day. Food: We were brought a bread basket with some herb oil. The bread was warm, crunchy and delicious. We ordered a burrata appetizer with heirloom tomatoes. This was ok. I've had better burrata but it wasn't bad. My Dad had the mahi with quinoa salad. The salad was very good...I loved the dressing. I didn't care for a spice on the fish. I had the mahi mahi tacos which were recommended. After I was home I thought, "why are there tacos on an Italian menu?" Strange. The menu says served with guacamole so I was expecting some delicious, fresh guac on top or on the side but what I got was a drizzle of green on top. You can't drizzle true guacamole so I would say this was maybe an avocado cream sauce? Definitely not guac. It also had no flavor because it was just a drizzle. They were just ok. I wouldn't get them again. I would come back to try something else on the menu...maybe try dinner one night. I won't be dying to come back, though. If I do, I do and if I don't, I don't.

We were just walking around on our first evening in town and spotted this place. We both love Positano and in general prefer Italian food, so it was a natural spot to try. The atmosphere is contemporary and a bit on the spartan side, the service was excellent and friendly, but my wife and I were of differing opinions on the food. Probably just a bad menu choice on my part. Overall the experience was ok, just nothing out of the ordinary.

Was thinking this was a great place to start our evening with drinks and dinner. Although the spot seemed as if it would have been lively (at least from the private party video on their site) it was dead for happy hour and the hostess' reply when we asked if we needed reservations at 4:30 she said that she highly recommended that we did so. I thought it strange for happy hour, but we did and when we arrive there was maybe 12 people in the entire place and maybe 6 at the bar!!! Tried the crab taco appetizer and it was good but the menu says TACOS which indicates more than ONE! If you're at the bar with at least one other person or if the item is tasty, you'd want more THAN ONE! Just charge us more and serve two damn tacos or remove the "S" off the menu item. The arancini is a an Italian rice ball but theirs had no flavor. Pity. But the bartender was nice.

If you’re looking for delicious food, gracious & attentive waitstaff, & fun environment Positano Coast is the place. We have been there many times with friends, family, & even a retirement party, my opinion never changes. Our most recent dinner was in the end of September. I have never been disappointed. My only negative is that the noise level can seem high at times but I guess people are just having a good time.

Ewa was our server. She did an amazing job. My husband had the Turkey BLT and I had the short rib focaccia. Wonderful taste. Very tender meat. Lots of yummy cheese. Fries were seasoned perfectly. Salad dressing was wonderful. So much good for the price. Music was uplifting and jazzy. Murals on the wall made me feel like I was in Positano Italy. Service was perfect.

Fantastic service and food - - - - - - - - October, 2023 Visit Our family visited Philadelphia for a family wedding. We had a good time. We stayed at the Marriott Philadelphia Old City, which is 4-5 blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. As we got checked in and settled, we looked out the window to see what looked like a nice restaurant. As we started walking around we went by and saw that it looked like a good place to visit… after we stretched our legs a bit. We captured a couples selfie in front of Independence Hall and returned to find a table; the weather was nice and we got a seat on the patio. Martin was a gracious server. We enjoyed: - Caesar salad with shaved parmesan and a crostini - Bronzing and parsnip purée, oyster mushrooms and leeks, with truffle sauce - wonderful; ate the skin/scales - Gelato - chocolate, sea salt caramel and vanilla bean - Gin and tonic A fine dinner… all of it so flavorful! Thank you, Martin and Positano Coast! ----- ----- -----

We really had a nice diner, on a Saturday without booking and by minus 15 outside. Excellent and fast service. Excellent dishes. Unfortunately no Italian wine available (out of stock) but good Californian instead. We warmly recommend

Good service, good seafood dishes. Atmospheric and good drinks.A perfect place to go before a show or a special occasion

Visited couples o days during a 5 days visit on July and the place has a nice atmosphere and good food and appetizers. On the 2nd day we got sited on a room that connects the front and back main dinning rooms. The wall paper was very anoying and at times causing dizziness, a photo attached. They should place big paintings to break the hypnotics effect.

Took advantage of Restaurant Week to try a new restaurant. Chose Positano because of it's Olde City location and ease of parking on Sunday mornings. In fact, parked right in front of the restaurant at 11:30. The restaurant is located on the second floor with a beautiful view of Sunday's snowfall. We were seated quickly and presented with two menus. The regular menu and the special menu for Restaurant Week. We chose the RW menu. An appetizer option was soup and it was stated on the menu to ask the server for today's soup selection. We asked the server and he said there was no soup. We pointed out that one of the four appetizers listed on the limited menu was soup. I believe it was the first time the waiter saw the menu for RW. My wife's salad was good. Although she asked for dressing on the side it was served in top.My appetizer was the mussels. They were good. I asked for some bread to sop up the tasty broth left in my dish. The waiter came back and said there was no bread. I was presented some crustinis. No bread in an Italian restaurant? Everything else we ordered was tasty and pleasantly presented. Coffee and pastries were excellent.

This visit I asked the waitress for a suggestion. She offered up crabcakes with zucchini. It did not disappoint!! I literally used the bread to sop up the sauce on the plate. I love the food here. Told people at work about my dinner and was informed that out of the 2 people I was speaking with both, separately, were going this weekend. This place is the best....you gotta go!!! The drinks are good too. I got a pumpkin spice martini. Delish!

So fresh, so yummy. We all sampled different things and there were no complaints. The service was great as well

I really think it could've been a lot better if I came during a regular dinner experience. When I came we had a prefixed meal. It was good, but I'm sure it could've been better.

We had dinner here on a warm summer evening, too warm to sit inside as there is a lack of A/C in their open air concept. So we moved outside where there was a breeze, at least only to find we had to sit on uncomfortable plastic chairs. My wife ordered NY Steak, medium/rare which looked more well done when presented. I had a rather disappointing Chicken Ripieno that didn't appear to be stuffed with anything. It was very dry & the brown gravy (more suited to a red meat dish) was too salty & didn't help.

My family went to Positano Coast to celebrate a birthday. Hostess and wait staff were friendly and helpful. The oysters were plump and delicious and the grilled artichoke salad was a nice portion and perfectly dressed. My tuna was great and flavorful. The homemade pasta was a hit. Food here is quite good....the environment can be very noisy, and it is on the second floor, so hard to navigate for physically challenged folks.

Long before Positano Coast had cobalt blue floors and a sleek design, it was hideous mess of pine tree green. It was dark and pretty much unappealing, but it had good food. Many years and a massive facelift later, the food is still fantastic and reliably delicious! In my 7+ years away from Philly, I always made it a point to stop here for a meal during a visit. And in the years since I've returned to Philly, it's still my favorite restaurant in a city full of gastronomic delights! I've yet to have a bad meal here, nor a bad glass of wine. And the atmosphere is inviting, especially on those scorching hot summer days, where you somehow feel as though you're really in Italy as you lounge on their deck or at the bar. I've brought many out-of-town friends here, including hard-to-please New Yorkers, and everyone has loved it. My colleagues all love it too, so I think that speaks volumes about the quality of the food. Anyway, I hope this place never closes because it has been worth every penny I've ever spent here -- and I've spent a fortune here over the years.

The food and service were both wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful, but a little loud. We got a different table so that we could talk.

The food was just okay. Fine for what it was. My problem was with the table service. The person whose job it was to clear the table after each course picked everyone’s silverware off of their plate with his fingers and placed it on the glass table top. This was to avoid providing a fresh set, as would be done in every fine dining restaurant. As I watched this I wondered how many other diners’ forks he had plucked by its handle, and whether any of them had a cold or the flu. We are fortunate to be past Covid but this really gave me the creeps.

Right in the heart of the Old City this will remind you of the Amalfi Coast, especially if you get outside patio seating. Reasonable prices and both appetizers & entrees were delish. Looked like a nice Happy hour too. Recommend.

This is a beautiful restaurant that serves excellently prepared and high quality fresh food. It is delightful for lunch and fairly priced. They are on a second floor and no elevator. There is a very strunoius ramp for handicapped folk but definitely is challenging.

I remember it was really hot on this day; we passed it up once, kind of laughing because we had been to Positano, Italy the year before. But after not finding a restaurant to stop at, we doubled back and walked up the stairs to this little quaint restaurant and were pleasantly surprised; I remember it being very bright and lit up (it was mid day). I think it's a big brunch place, because there were several large parties finishing up on Mimosas and Blood Marys. Anyway, we had lunch - good service, we really liked the decor and the food was excellent (I believe we both had quiche? Not sure). For a bright brunch/lunch don't pass it up like we almost did - recommended.

The ambience is super thanks to the sprawling two floor sitting arrangement with each area providing a different relaxed style sitting with sheer curtains and colourful Italian scenaries on the walls. The restaurant theme decor is Italian Positano Coast blue. The menu is brief but the selections are excellent with good pairing of Italian wine to go with. Try any fish dish for main course - you will not be disappointed.

We went to eat at Positano Coast, Philadelphia today and had reservations for a long time. We (a family with 2 teenagers) were assigned the only table in the blazing sun. We kindly asked the people responsible for reservations and seating if we could have a table in the shade, especially since there were still 3 tables unoccupied in the shade. We were told that this was not possible and that they had other reservations. Other guests who came after us were allowed to choose their table interestingly and also other guests were allowed to change their table after the placement. So we sat in the blazing sun the whole time during the meal. It was particularly annoying that a table in the shade remained unoccupied during our entire visit. The food was average but the treatment of its guests was unprofessional. Philadelphia has too many other good restaurants to do without Positano Coast. Especially if you are a tourist or a family with children, you should avoid this restaurant.

Definitely will go back. Sad I haven't been sooner. Went with friend from out of town and we ordered a variety of appetizers. Must haves are burrata, spicy calamari, and the baby beet salad. Was disappointed in the lamb sliders - wouldn't recommend those. The place was empty on a Tuesday for lunch so the service was fantastic. If you walk in and it's not crowded - walk around. We were seated a nice enough table, but wish I'd walked around, bc there were high top tables that would have been nicer. Or the area with the white lounge chairs.

The food was delicious from the starters (tuna tartare and veggie plate) to the entrees (branzino and salmon) to dessert (gelato and illy espresso). We will be back!

I was looking forward to what I hoped would to be a wonderful Thursday evening but it was not ment to be. Lovely second floor restaurant in Old City, but the kitchen was definitely having a bad night this Thursday with both cooking and timing. My crab tocos were fine, though rather small. Two made for just an ok appetizer for one. Caesar salad was unremarkable...no hint of anchovie or garlic in the dressing. It would have been better if they gave you a choice to add a little crab or shrimp. My Veal Marsala was just terrible; way overcooked, dry and tough. I did not finish eating it. To their credit I was not charged for my entrée after I pointed out its short comings. All the tables seemed to be waiting for quite a long time to be served. Service was spotty at best. This might have been because I was dining solo. This was my first visit to Positano Coast. I don't think I will go back.

We took a group of about 20 for a business dinner last night and had a wonderful experience! They served drinks in the cool and comfortable lounge area, then had a private room for our dinner party. The service was impeccable, and the food was fantastic! We had a 4 course dinner with shared appetizers and pasta before the entrees. The meat and cheese appetizer was devoured, as was the grilled seafood appetizer. Everyone was fully satisfied with their meals and the desserts were delicious! I look forward to going there again with a group or for a for drinks and dinner.

We went into this restaurant expecting a bog standard Italian restaurant, we were surprised pleasantly, the food was amazing, just got to say that the pricing was a bit misleading.

Although there were plenty of main dishes to choose from, I decided on a couple of appetizers for more variety. The two of them were tasty and more than enough for a full meal.

Had the grilled octopus, the lasagna and a glass of cab. Good meal, good price. Nice place. Pretty neat decor on the bartop.

Had a reasonable meal, nicely prepared entrees, salmon and a lamb pasta dish with home made fusilli. Great dessert, ice cream to die for and husband loved the crepes with Nutella. All reasonably priced. The waiter was a little "sniffy" when I asked for tap water rather than bottled but I ordered a gin and tonic which was not on the menu but I figured could not be too difficult as they did cocktails. When we got the check I was surprised to see they had charged $11.25 - plus tax for my gin and tonic. Especially as the whole bill was only $70.80 for 2 entrees, 2 desserts, my gin and tonic and a beer. I think they must have charged for a cocktail so I wished I had had one of those instead.

This restaurant does get busy, but our waiter Martin made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious and we were not rushed at all. We enjoyed the Grilled Artichoke salad and Grilled Octopus for appetizers, which were suggestions from Martin. We ordered Gnocchi with Seafood and Asparagus Risotto for dinner, both were very good. We met the general manager Marianna who was so pleasant to speak with and welcoming. We recommend the Limoncello to finish the night.

Upstairs indoor and outdoor venue with an Mediterranean feel. Excellent food! A la carte portions a little small, but served well-prepared. Well-situated in Old City. In walking distance to many attractions.

My husband and I were in Philly for a quick weekend getaway and stopped by this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. We grabbed a little bite to eat before heading to the train station to head home. We sat at the bar, the bartenders were polite and the ambiance was nice for a quiet summer afternoon. We had beer and rosé, enjoyed the arancini, rigatoni vodka, and tiramisu (delicious!) Overall a positive dining experience.

Extremely well prepared dishes, nicely presented. Good selection of appetizers and entrees. Pasta dishes were outstanding. Just a little too expensive.

I went here with a bachelorette party for brunch. Everyone loved the food, and the open, airy blue space makes me feel like I am briefly in Mykonos. I got the grilled cheese, which was super tasty!

This restaurant was just a view blocks from our weekend lodging, and was packed on a Saturday night (including a few large parties). It was VERY loud (we noticed that someone at one of the private parties was trying to give a speech, but having a hard time being heard). We decided to eat at the bar to save time because we were famished. The food was a bit pricey (appetizers: $15 for grilled octopus, $14 for 2 diver scallops), but I felt it was worth it because I could taste the quality of the food and the skill of the chef. I would definitely eat here again (but I'd probably choose a quieter day/time).

Our group of 10 dined here on a busy Saturday night. The service and food were very good. One server dropped a tray with six glasses of water, but the cleanup was quick and the manager give us a free bottle of wine. The crabcake and gnocci with seafood were very good. One of our group needed a wheelchair and this restaurant has great ramp access.

We had a very large group have an early evening dinner party last night at Positano's. This was absolutely the perfect choice for our group who were attending an afternoon course at a nearby hotel. The management was very accomodating and seated us in the back room. The food was delicious! I had never been here before and will definitely come back. It's right across from the Ritz and would make a nice choice for dinner and a movie.

This is a South Beach style restaurant, with tables and couches for dining. The food is excellent. If you go a bit late on a weekend, you will get a clubby crowd, trendy people who are trying so hard for you to believe that they have it going on, but we consider that entertainment!!!!

Stayed in Penn's Landing area for one night, hotel staff recommended Positano Coast. Although it was close we would have walked further for a better experience. Waiter could have been a bit more personable, started off the evening with an out of line comment to my daughter in the first minute of approaching the table, should have been a sign. Overall I thought the menu could have used a few more "common" options, prices were high considering the portions. Waiter seemed to spend more time with some of his other tables, saw him twice. Took forever to get the check. We told him we were not interested in dessert or after dinner cocktails only the check but he insisted on giving us each a dessert menu and disappeared for quite some time, had to ask the bus boy for the check. I guess a party of 3 wasn't big enough for him to care about.

Overall everything was very good. Grilled octopus and burrata are must tried. Won't hesitate to return again.

Came for dinner with cousins and must say left disappointed. We were here before and had a scrumptious meal about 3 years ago, so we were excited to visit again. Started great, lovely decor, vibe of Italy. Waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Immediately noticed it would be impossible to have a conversation because it is EXTREMELY LOUD. We literally had to yell all night over the noise. This totally ruined the ambiance, and little did we know it would only worsen when the front area became a club! The food was "eh", rather flat. Ordered the ravioli, tarataglia, and eggplant sides. No Parmesan cheese was offered, and the sauces were flavorless. My cousin seemed to enjoy his bronzino dish, but it took too much voice to ask. The deserts did redeem the meal somewhat. All Portions were small. With so many great restaurants to eat in Philly, we thought Italian was a safe bet, but really left feeling disappointed.

I love this restaurant! The lemon drop martini is amazing! The waiters are always polite. The outdoor space is a bit small, but overall a nice place to eat in the summer. Definitely worth a visit!

The online menu did match the night's offering, the drinks were highly overpriced, and the artichoke soup (sounded good) had weird chunks of dry chicken with grill marks on it laying at the bottom (???). Totally weird. The seafood portions were very small. Side orders as in a small side of mini potatoes cost 8.00. We would not return.

I was invited to Positano Coast for an organisation's 5 years anniversary event and it was my first time dining there. The place is just beautiful, it has a patio- perfect set up for a small wedding reception or any other events. the Hor D'oeuvres were excellent!

Everything was perfect. The Meridiana room was set up nicely. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. We had a sit down dinner for 50 people. There was antipasto ready on the tables when we got there and all of the entrees were all delicious. Thank you for making this family event so wonderful.

Enjoyed a brief two hour tour. Loved the small shops and eateries. We purchased lots of clothing here and enjoyed a bit if lunch. Also took a stroll along the beach

We sat outside, for a glass of wine and an early dinner. It was a great atmosphere! Our food was delicious. Our server was attentive. Before leaving, we took a quick tour inside to see the cool Mediterranean decor. What a great experience!

I ate here after a meeting with my sales team for work. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun.

Delicious food, curated wine list, amazing vibes, and friendly staff. I am vegan and they accommodated me with a delicious hummus flatbread with avocado.

Killer jazz band inside. Nice terrace, but weather was too warm for it. Scallops, pasta with clams, grilled octopus were great. The pasta in vodka sauce was a bit too spicy. I fully reccomend this place.

Dine in | Dinner Place is definitely more modern since they redid it... Menu's been the same forever. They have great small plates and for a seafood place their red sauce is top notch. Happy hour is great, bartenders know their stuff. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 Recommended dishes Grilled Octopus, Smoked Salmon Flatbread Recommendation for vegetarians Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings Vegetarian menu or section

Just went there on a Sunday evening with friends. The decor was pleasantly Mediterranean: light and airy. The wait staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. All four of us enjoyed delicious entrees. No complaints anywhere.

Went during restaurant week. 4 courses for $35.00 - a bargain. First course was an antipasto plate of olives, salami, cheese, etc. Wonderful fresh warm bread with dipping oil for the table. A friend had the beet salad, my husband the mussels and I the rice balls. All were good. Entrees chosen were striped bass, ciopino and salmon. Again all good. Moose and tirimisu for dessert. Service was wonderful. Our server Dean was friendly and very efficient. There was a DJ playing music so noise level a tad high for regular conversation. So we just spoke a little louder than normal. Decor was nice. Nice club vibe. Would go back.

Came with family while in town. We enjoyed the infused olive oil (so yummy) with bread. I had a great Caesar salad, the dressing was spot on. All our main dishes were really good and we left full and happy. This is in a nice part of town close to other restaurants and sites. I'd go back for sure.

Came for restaurant week with some friends. Food was good and well portioned for the three-course restaurant week menu, but not nearly as delicious or inventive as many other Philly restaurants offering the same special. It is an extremely loud restaurant and we had to scream to hear each other. All of that would have been okay if our waitress wasn't so rude. When we asked to split the check she ripped the receipt out of my friend's hand and was just really not nice. Service was also extremely slooooooow. Additionally, my friends ordered a $60 bottle of wine that goes for $13.99 at wines and spirits. Ultimately not super impressed compared to other places in the city at a similar price point.

Watch out for the beet salad. It’s warmm-to -hot. Definitely not what you are expecting when you order a salad.

Just visiting for one day and night for a Birthday celebration. Looked around for a place to eat that would be more in the fine dining category with a good selection of fish. Our hotel recommended Positano's and now we know why. I had the Branzino fillet and it was outstanding. My husband had seafood risotto and was equally impressed. A lovely setting also. We had the best gelato, sea salt caramel, that we have ever had and we've been to the Alfalfi Coast and in Positano, Italy. The service was a little slow but very good. Just a sign of the times being short of good staff.

We stopped here because the valet at our hotel recommended the place. It was quite when we stopped at 5. Soon to get crowded later. We were seated and served quickly. The drinks were perfect and the ceviche to die for. The crab tacos were amazing, could of eaten them for dinner. Our entrees were delish, but there wasn't a lot. I had the braised short ribs - I got one...which was really, really good but for the price I think 2 would of been fine. The service was good.

Two of the four we’re fairly happy with their meals. One was slightly less happy, mine was not well attended to. The chipotle was almost all potato 🥔 (nichoe so). This is not how chipotle should be prepared, I sent it back, they were accommodating, and replaced it with the salmon. One would think making salmon as a replacement meal would be fairly easy. It was overdone, and under seasoned. It took too long to get the check when we let her know we did not need dessert and we were going to the movie. Overall it wasn’t a horrible experience for three, I certainly was quite disappointed. We had previously had better food and better service.

As soon as I walked in I announced I have colitis and have special needs. My waitress was informed immediately and all my food was made special and delicious.. The service was excellent and only surpassed by the quality food with no sauces or gravy.

We discovered this after leaving the riverfront. Hidden on top of the building. walk around to find stairs. Amazing wine and service.

My adult son walked us clear across Philly from Arch Street on the Schuylkill River side over to the Delaware River side and meandering streets in between. It was time to eat and we saw this place and it looked so inviting from the street; we decided to try it. From the second we walked in we assumed there was no way they would have space for us. It was May 10th afterall. A day where multiple local colleges were holding graduations and Mother’s Day weekend. We waited maybe 5 minutes for a table and were welcomed with the most friendly staff. The experience was wonderful. We wanted to spend about 45 minutes just having drinks and appetizers. We were never rushed. Jaime was fabulous. We then ordered and the food was terrific. We were sitting outside but not really because all the windows/doors were open to the outside but you’re under a beautiful covered space. We felt like we hit the lottery showing up to such a great place with no reservation and still the service and food made our evening so enjoyable. I would come here again and again if I lived here.

IIt was pouring, blustering rain that night. We had no reservation anywhere and were def not inclined to walk around and find something. We started calling different places but every place was booked. We finally found this place and luckily they had a table available. Walking from our car into the beautiful setting we felt like drowned rats but the staff was very gracious, even though we were leaving puddles on the floor. The setting is appropriate for the name: clean whites and blues and yellows conjure up the Positano Coast. The food was great, and the service was exceptional; the waitress even replaced our bread bowl 3 times, without asking. We will def go back! Highly recommend!

We had an early dinner in the place. It was fairly empty which is kinda strange as Zaha across the stream was full (hype I guess?). Anyhow, we had taco apettizers which were pretty good. We then all got Bolognese which was excellant. Home made pasta, good souce, a bit in the small size though. I wish I had more of it.

We love Lombardi's restaurants. Southern Italian with a seafood leaning. We've been here several times and have not been disappointed. Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful service, and very good food. That with reasonable prices makes this a great restaurant. This is a great chance to expand you experience with Italian food.

My husband and I visited her before going to a concert at the Tin Angel. As a vegetarian I really appreciated the selection they had. My husband and I both started with salads, I had a beet salad and my husband had a scallop salad, they were both delicious. At the the suggestion of the waitress my husband had Orata Fish dish and I had the sweet potato hazelnut ravioli. Both dinners were amazing and thoroughly enjoyed. The meal ended with a chocolate mousse dessert and a lemoncello!

The specialty of the restaurant is seafood. They are accommodating to special diets, though. The food is tasty, but not particularly inspiring. There are many better restaurants in Philly.

We visited during the Philadelphia Restaurant Week for a $20 3 course fixed price lunch, mid-week after reading some good reviews. The restaurant is modern specializing in Italian and seafood and has quite a few choices, although not as extensive as some others. Even so we found plenty to choose from and found Mahi Mahi especially tasty after a starter of Mussels that were spicy, but very tasty. Other course also were enjoyed by members of our group. It took a little while to find staff to provide cracked pepper, but otherwise the staff were very friendly and prompt . The only thing we noticed was a lack of wine at a lower price point. The least expensive bottle was $45 with most $60 plus. The $20 meal was very good value and a look at the standard menu showed reasonable prices across the range. This restaurant showed plenty of favorable reviews and our visit met our expectations.

The first time we came here was the best ever. We even mimic the appetizers we had at home. The second time the seafood didn't seem fresh and the glasses were dirty. So, who knows how it will be? But the decor is fun, the location is convenient, so I'd give it another go.

We arranged dinner for ten people. The restaurant provided a semi-private area that was perfect. The food was excellent, and the service outstanding - the waitress knew what each person had ordered without querying for each course. Our guests were as pleased as we were.

I typically visit this place occasionally. However, on this occasion, the food was merely average. Additionally, we couldn't finish our meals and lost our appetite after witnessing mice scurry from one corner to another and even climb onto my hat and bag that I had left on the floor. I mentioned this to the server and runner, but they simply stated that the mice entered because the door was open. I can't imagine how many more there might be in the kitchen. I believe they need to address this issue immediately. As someone in the restaurant industry, I understand that this is a serious problem that could lead to people getting sick.

Very good artichoke salad with salmon but very anxious and nervous waiter-hope that his trouble go away and he can enjoy the husks and bustle more with a smile.

4 Texans came for a late lunch/ early dinner & received the best service. The food was fresh, delightfully presented & truly delicious- zucchini crab cake, burrata, vodka pasta & cioppino. We recommend this restaurant!

Discovered this restaurant while walking through the historic district near the Liberty Bell. Wonderful dining experience. Very romantic. Busy!

We had 100 people for a business dinner. Positano's took care of us in record time and with smiles on their faces. I had the branzino for dinner and it was out of this world. We had antipasto for appetizers and YUM is all I can say. Excellent food, Superior service!

Did not try the food rather m, my husband and another couple went on a saturday night. They have valet parking so you don't have to worry about where to park. The music is really good, great variety from latin to english to indian. Good drinks, the place has a really nice atmosphere and the employees were on point with cleaning up and making sure there is nothing on the dance floor or tables. Very nice place, will definitely be return!

This is a dining experience as there is a flow from outdoors to inside. It is beautifully appointed with wall size photos of the Amalfi Coast. There is a definite cool vibe coming from the servers. I would have given 5 stars but the Music was loud, so loud I couldn’t hear my husband. We asked if they could lower it and they did. Delicious food, well prepared… hubby devoured the Veal Parm while I enjoyed the Branzino

The restaurant had opened up for indoor seating. The service was slow, and the waiter wanted us to use our phone for the menu. We finally received one, not two, until we made the request a third time. The calamari was served with a sauce so spicy that I couldn't finish it. The two plates of pasta were gummy enough to have been made by Wrigley's. The manager discussed the reason for the poor pasta presentation but methinks she protested too much. Not a good dinner!!!

We met 2 other couples for dinner at 6 on Saturday and had a great time. We asked for and got a quiet table and they were very happy to help us with gluten free selection. The seafood risotto and NY Strip bolognese entrees were creative and delicious in modest portions. The grilled octopus starter was tender and tasty. The drinks were excellent though pricey and the staff first rate.

Excellent service and selection of food. Great location in the heart of Old City. Plenty of space with a good selection of wine. Almost makes you feel like you are on vacation in Italy. Had the grilled salmon with broccoli. Too many selection to list so checkout their menu online.

This Mediterranean restaurant has a very lively bar area and offers a fine dining experience in the dining room. The food sure will please and the cocktail menu is creative and tasty. The music can sometimes be too loud if you choose to eat on the outdoor patio, but I prefer the outdoor atmosphere.

Visited with my mom and my tween daughter. We all enjoy our dishes so much we came back to try other dishes. The quality and taste was consistent. The service was great. My daughter was very happy with dessert (She is a tough critic of desserts). Pricey, but worth it! I will be visiting again on my next visit to Philadelphia.

The whole grilled Branzino and caramelized cauliflower the best I ever had! Really enjoyed the restaurant - in a great area too

Sat outside today for Brunch. The food and service were great as always! About 30 minutes into experience, a DJ set up with a speaker about 30 feet from us an BLARED music. Ruined the experience! We asked for it to be turned down but nothing was done. We did inform our waiter that it was a disappointment and he offered for the Manager to come over but frankly we were in such a hurry to get out we didn’t wait. We rushed out without coffee or dessert and went elsewhere for that to spend more time talking which wasn’t doable at Positano today.

This is an outstanding American restaurant with great food and service! The food is WOW, the wine list is reasonable, and the ambiance is beautiful. Yes, it is a vacation or special occasion destination, but it is well worth a visit. If you want to impress someone? Take them there

I am a tour operator and we frequently bring our bus groups to meals here. The staff is well prepared, the food is excellent and the ambience terrific. I trust them to do a great job with every visit and no matter how many people I bring. Highly recommend!

We were here with a party of 8 on a Friday night. Our party was seated promptly. The menu has a variety of vegetarian dishes as well as ample choices of meats and fish. Our group had just about every type of entree. Several had pasta dishes. I enjoyed short ribs. My husband pronounced his rack of lamb tender and delicious. Others at the table had fish and chicken. We shared several vegetarian appetizers. The desserts were extremely good. A carafe of wine and peaches featuring Pinot Grigio was shared by all. Prices were in line with others of similar type in Center City. Discounted valet parking is available. There is also a self service garage quite near. My only complaint was the general noise level of the restaurant which was exacerbated by an extremely large and loud private party in the adjacent private area. Perhaps a future visit would make it easier to engage in conversation. We would happily return.

Buffet for about 100 people. Wonderful appetizers. Attentive service. My wine glass was always full. Usually don't like gnocchi, but these were great. Light, not heavy. Good call by our hosts.

I booked a large group for lunch and Carolina and Cara where easy to work with during the planning stage. e.g. answering all my many questions. Then on the day, the staff delivered great service and delicious food.

We went there for dinner and enjoyed great food and service. All of the appetizers, meals and drinks we had were very good. We had a great experience here and will go back again when we are in Philadelphia. The only issue was the bar music was a little loud. But it was a Friday night so not a big deal.

We had our Christmas Party here for 14 people. The semiprivate dining area proved to be a perfect venue. The food was good, and the service was attentive.

Popped into Positano Coast with a friend before attending an alumni event for our grad school and had a lovely meal. Decided to sit at the bar and enjoyed several items from their menu. I have never been disappointed visiting this restaurant. Always consistently good with quality service and delicious food.

I recently had dinner at Positano Coast with colleagues. It is conveniently located in downtown Philly and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is primarily seafood with some meat choices. All of our food was fresh and very well prepared. The service was very good. I recommend!

I've eaten lunch here in the summer, and it was always lovely. The ambiance is summer, light wines and fish are on the menu.

In summary, it was OK. In my opinion the 9oz glass of wine was quite pricey at $20. The mixed olives appetizer was very good & at $5 was reasonably priced. My pasta appetizer was fair. For dessert the cheesecake was subpar. Service was adequate. I don't plan for a return visit.

This is my neighborhood joint I love the atmosphere the people the food and the service Just go and check it out I don't know why these reviews have to be so long I prefer short sweet and simple

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Positano Coast on a recent visit to Philadelphia; the food was amazing, the ambiance lovely and the service was excellent. Probably one of the best Halibut dishes I've ever had!

Make reservations! Busy place. Difficult parking on street and valet expensive. She had striped bass and I had the pasta Bolognese. Great! Entrees are fairly priced...but are ala carte. Alcohol is expensive

Our waiter was Nick. Service was a 5, food was a 4. One of us ordered the special which was snapper with black veneer rice, the other ordered the casarecce bolognese, and for desert we shared a crème brûlée. Nice atmosphere. We agreed that if we were in the area again, we would give it another try and order something different.

Food was delicious. Fresh salmon over pesto risotto. So fresh! Arancini were small but many. Loved the outdoor seating area in old city glory. Bottomless mimosas! Creamy lemoncello- very different. Best spicy calamari appetizer in the city.

Service was lacking and slow. When we walked in they were not polite and sat us in a corner. No one asked us if the food was ok or not. Having said that the food was excellent hats off to the chef But without good courteous service we will not bust that restaurant again

The food was excellent & beautifully plated! I started off with avocado toast, which came out fairly quickly. The second & third round of drinks (Prosecco) were slow to come out, the salad & octopus. OMG It was amazing. Great food, friendly staff. They have the best grilled octopus

Visiting Philadelphia on business and had dinner with my team and client who suggested Positano Coast. Client lives in the area and said this was a highly regarded local favorite. I can see why. The food was amazing! I had Bronzino which thankfully was filleted (and not whole fish as often the case) served on top of a bed of leeks and chanterelles and other mushrooms and parsnip puree. Other call outs were sea urchin linguine, grilled octopus, and crab cake. Wine by glass in 5oz and 9oz pours. Service was attentive. Had a very nice outdoor patio and since it is getting chilly at night, there were heaters available making for a very comfortable dining experience.

We were fortunate to get a reservation and it happened to be during Happy Hour. Our table was on the sidewalk and the waiters were busy. We decided on small plates and we were delighted with the variety. I'd highly suggest the lamb slider and the Smoked Salmon Focaccia. Thank you, to everyone, who worked so hard to serve us. I appreciated it. The setup during Covid is cumbersome and those who waited on us helped to make our evening very enjoyable.

Thank you. Your staff exceeded my expectations. When traveling and entertaining business guests it can be tough to pick a great spot for dinner. I think I hit this out of the park. Positano Coast is the best dining experience I had during my stay in Philadelphia. Fresh ingredients, They have Tito's at the bar (hometown favorite), and the service was perfect. Go!

We had an amazing dinner at Positano Coast. Food was of high quality, with nice Mediterranean infusion flavors. We certainly recommend this place.

During our group's tour of local sights, we chose this large and modern restaurant for lunch. To clarify, this review is based on how our group of 40 people were handled. First, the wait staff was hard working and handled each table of ten quickly and were able to serve the meals quickly and as ordered. The salad was nice size with a tasty dressing. My lemon chicken with linguine was tasty and well portioned. Dessert and coffee was a nice finish to the meal.

Not really typical Italian but still a close cousin. From the excellent and tasty veggie plate to the Risotto and pasta our palates were pleased. The restaurant is a bit difficult to find but if you use the Ritz movie theater as a lighthouse it is directly across the street. Valet parking makes parking an easy chore. We intend to return at a later date.

The location is ideal in Society Hill, the atmosphere is open, airy and if you can bag a table outside it is even better. The food is good, the scallops, taco appetizer, fish dishes and pasta were well prepared, nice wine selection. Service was off on a recent Saturday night for 4 of us meeting for dinner. The server "Nick" was pleasant but very busy and we had to wait to order drinks and it took quite awhile until he could return to the table for our food order. We made the best of it, but we were in the restaurant almost 3 hours, not by choice. Much better experience during the week when they aren't so busy.

Standing near the Penn Landing with no idea where to go, asked Siri for a recommendation. Turned out to be a good choice. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice variety including house made pasta.

This is one of the best seafood spots in Philadelphia. The gorgeous blue and white decor reminded us of coastal Italy and the fish is incredibly fresh. Lunch was so great we returned the next day, even though it took an Uber to get from the museum district. Try the sashimi salad if you like fresh ahi tuna in a sesame vinaigrette. The artichoke lemon chicken soup is a must starter, or could be lunch on its own. Patio dining on blue lucite chairs overlooking a few of Philly's historic sites made this a special, memorable spot.

I recently dined at Positano Coast, and I regret to say that my experience left me utterly disappointed, not because of the food or ambiance, but due to the shockingly inappropriate handling of a privacy violation incident that occurred during my visit. While my friends and I were celebrating my birthday, our evening took an unsettling turn when a man at a neighboring table quite blatantly took a photograph of me without my consent. What followed was a complete disregard for my privacy, safety, and well-being by both the individual responsible and the restaurant's staff. Firstly, when I approached the man who had taken the photo, he not only refused to show me the image, but exhibited a complete lack of respect for my boundaries. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I expected the restaurant to take it seriously. Secondly, when I sought assistance from the restaurant staff and explained the situation, their response was nothing short of abysmal. They claimed that they could not interfere or help in any way, which is not only disappointing but also alarming. It is the responsibility of a restaurant to ensure the safety and comfort of its patrons, and they fell miserably short in this regard. The most infuriating part of this ordeal was when the manager dismissively commented that the man taking the photo appeared to be a "nice normal adult." This statement is not only condescending but also deeply insensitive, particularly considering the context. It implies that my concerns for safety, as a young woman of color dining with friends, were somehow less valid than those of the man taking the photo without my consent. This incident has left me profoundly disturbed and disappointed in Positano Coast. It is unacceptable for a restaurant to allow such a blatant invasion of privacy to go unchecked, and staff response was appalling and unforgiveable. This used to be a favorite spot of mine to go to, I feel gravely upset and disgusted and will not be returning.

This was my first visit to Positano’s. I was immediately amazed by the beauty of the restaurant. We were led upstairs and inside was just as impressive in the inside. The bus tour I was with was given a certain menu. The food was good, although I wish my eggplant parmigiana was not quite so mushy. I definitely loved the tiramisu!! If you are in the area, check this place out!

We often go there for lunch before going to the movie theatre across the street. I love the quick service and delicious food!

Everything on the menu is good, the service is outstanding. They are also very clean and acommodating.

We truly found Positano Coast by mistake. We were trying to go to another nearby restaurant, which was not meant to be. We happened on Positano Coast and decided to see if they had a table for an early dinner before a concert. What a luck happenstance. The service, drinks, appetizers, and entrees were all fantastic. Everything we experienced here exceeded our expectations. Cocktails from the bar were perfect as was the wine we ordered. The food was fresh and bright. The menu offered a nice variety. The wait staff was attentive but not overdone. A simple bowl of olives was so delicious mixed olives with fresh herbs and lemon zest. So good. We had a burrata that was delicious and caponata that was the same. Our entrees kept the high standard. What was most surprising was the value of the meal. Great food at truly reasonable prices. Fine dining at mid-range prices. This is a restaurant we will go back to. If you're considering this place give it a go. I think you'll be rewarded.

Food is very good. They have a full dinner menu and often offer specials. For lunch, they have a very reasonable prix fix choice of entrees.

Very interesting restaurant with a mostly northern Italian menu. The wait staff is friendly, very professional, attentive (but not overbearing), and experienced. I had the Veal Medallions wrapped in Prosciutto with Mushrooms in a pan Au Jus sauce, which was very tasty, but somewhat dry and unfortunately, little to no Au Jus. (Had there been more of the sauce I would have enjoyed the entree more, and the meat would have been more moist. Vegetables are a la cart which was a disappointment. Overall I enjoyed the meal and would recommend this restaurant.

A nice, modern restaurant, pleasant light, good choices on the menu. Fairly noisy, but you'll just have to lean in to your friends a bit more. Had a really nice Bloody Mary, The lobster roll was nice, the Tuna Salad, too. The servinds are moderate, so you'll have room for dessert, which is worth sving room for.

Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks! I've been to Positano Coast many times; on dates and with large groups. The service is always great and so is the food. The best is when you are there late and it turns into a club. Drinks & dancing around the bar area. So much fun!

I recently visited the Positano Coast. The food was incredibly delicious, but the portions were very small. I ordered the ravioli, it was homemade with spinach, squash, asparagus, fontina, pine nuts, and sun-dried tomatoes. A wonderful combination, nice presentation, and scrumptious! I was still hungry, so I ordered the vanilla bean cheesecake. This was equally delicious and was a fair size. The hostess and waiter were both exceptional. I wanted more, so I returned the next day for brunch and ordered Belgian Waffles. Again, very tasty, but extremely tiny, a more appropriate name would be Belgian Waffle Bites. Still hungry, I ordered the cheesecake again. Go for the quality, not the quantity! Great for a light entree, but not for those with a hearty appetite. I ate a larger meal later in the day to compensate,

We went for lunch during restaurant week, and used the excellent menu to choose different foods for each of the 3 of us at the table. It gave us the opportunity to try3 different appetizers and 3 different main dishes. Each was superbly prepared and came out hot and inviting. The Eggplant parmisan was perhaps among the best I have eaten. Calamari was crisp and not oily. It was served with a delicious dipping sauce. Mushroom risotto was cooked perfectly. Overall a very good place for lunch or dinner

This is not your usual superb restaurant yet it is superb. The Italian food is not haute cuisine but still is very good and there is a broad choice not only in selection of foods but in types of presentations, amounts and costs. That is, one isn't limited to an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. There is also an abundance of small servings, offering tasteful variety and lower costs. Along with this is wonderful attention-giving service in a beautiful, artful environment. There is a broad choice of wines and other drinks and sumptuous desserts. It's a great place for a high quality informal dinner or an equally good place for a small group celebration. There is street parking in the area as well as valet parking. It does require walking up one floor but either steps or ramp.

The food here is average to above-average. But if you go on a nice summer evening, you will enjoy just eating in this environment. Good location close to many sites.

An amazing authentic Italian restaurant located in downtown Philadelphia. Great food and atmosphere. A must for Italian food lovers.

Despite it being a VERY hot day, we opted to enjoy lunch outside. There was a large party inside and it seemed very loud and the dining room was very cold, especially when compared to the outside temperature. The fact that there is a roof overhead and ceiling fans, it was surprisingly comfortable to be outside. And, we had the deck to ourselves. Plenty of fun specialty cocktails and wine selections by the glass. Our server, Roma, was very friendly and gave good advice on the menu offerings. The tuna salad is a great choice; it has many pieces of well seared rare sushi grade tuna with a lot of greens in a tasty dressing along with cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. the crabmeat tacos were very tasty and the perfect size would have been three instead of the two we ordered. The avocado toast with a fried egg was a unique side dish and very much worth it. At times we did feel a little neglected and some time went by before we were looked in on and plates were cleared and the check was delivered. That said, our water glasses were always kept full.

The octopus was outstanding, tender and tasty, My Bronzino was also perfectly cooked. My wife has the squid ink pasta with crab. That was the only negative since the crab was quite sparse. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent.

ive been to positano coast maybe 4 -5 times. its a bit expensive or i'd go more often. that being said i love the food and i've always had outstanding service too. the atmosphere is divine... they are undergoing some renovations now, but we were happy sitting outdoors.. can't wait till they are finished the reno. we were there on a night with LOTS of rain... downpours actually, and it was still pleasent to sit outside upstairs. lobster, crabcake and pork milanese entrees were all very tasty. its a go to place if your in philadelphia.

Located on the second floor across from the Ritz Theater, this is a pleasant restaurant with a wide variety of selections. The fish and the pasta that we had were nicely-prepared and served appropriately. The dining room can be noisy when full.

I booked an event at Positano Coast for 43 people--had never been to Philadelphia, but based on location, this was the best choice. Several of us had lived in Italy, near the Positano coast, so I was nervous. I chose one of their buffet menus. Would the pasta be overcooked? I worried for nothing. The food was amazing!!! Even as a buffet, the pasta was perfect, the veal and chicken succulent. The eggplant parmigiana was an overwhelming favorite. I love their wine list. When I saw the name, I secretly hoped it featured wine from the region, because so many Italian restaurants don't. They didn't disappoint. Feudi di San Gregorio (our favourite Campania winery) Fiano di Avellino? Yes please! A lovely selection of Puglian reds? They have that covered. The servers were pleasant, helpful and lovely.

Although somewhat put off initially by the meager lighting and frou frou menu I changed my mind after trying their cold shrimp and clams as an appetizer. Nick, my pro server, helped to put together a simpler version of the seafood linguini and it was quite tasty.

The waiter was visibly uninterested in our group of 11. We had an 8:30 dinner reservation. We ordered cocktails, wine and lots of food. It was hard to get his attention, and when he did, he looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here. Everything we asked seemed to be an inconvenience. The drinks and food courses took a long time to arrive. We actually ate quickly whenever the food came and then we’d have to wait for plates to be cleared. Wherever we ordered another bottle of wine they wouldn’t remove the empty bottle. We finally got to dessert around 10. The gelatos were half melted when they came out. We asked in advance for a birthday candle for one of the desserts but that didn’t arrive. Another order was wrong. So when we asked for the candle again the waiter said, “look the kitchen is closed and I don’t have the candle and I’m not the one who makes this stuff!” We were taken aback because we ate as soon as we got food. They never mentioned what time the kitchen closed when we sat down. If an 8:30 reservation was inconvenient they shouldn’t have made it available. The food was decent though but we won’t be going back.

This experience was simply amazing! Our server William was friendly, attentive and well versed on the menu. We started with the Fritto Misto which was actually really light and extremely tasty. Though fried, the zucchini, carrots and artichokes were not floppy or soggy but just right! It truly set the stage for the Pan-seared Branzino and the Zucchini Crab Cake entree selections. The amount of juicy crab meat in the crab cake was unbelievable and the branzino dish pared with the parsnip purée, mushrooms leaks and truffle oil bordered on sweet and almost dessert like! My wife commented that this was one of our best dining experiences of 2024! While we are not from Philadelphia we definitely have a new favorite restaurant in Philadelphia.

This is a very spacious and open air restaurant. The atmosphere is casual. There are several private room areas for dining for large groups of people, with separate bar areas. I observed two bar areas, and at least three balcony eating areas. The food was scrumptious. The salmon was nicely cooked, soft and moist with that melt in your mouth taste effect; however, a little too much tomato sauce on my spaghetti. This is an Italian restaurant. The wait staff was efficient, but myself and my fellow restaurateurs/companions-who dined at this restaurant, felt somewhat rushed as we ate, because I had observed that many people were still in the process of either eating their salads or their main dish, and the wait staff was clearing the dishes and utensils as they were still in the process of eating their food. I am not too sure regarding the meal prices, because I was on a group trip and this restaurant was part of my tour package.

I have to say this was not my first choice but my friends said the reviews were good and it had something for my friend who has limited did interests. We were greater by a lovely waitress who was very patient and accommodating to us. We changed our minds a couple times. Unfortunately, as good as maybe the dishes looked, they did not meet our expectations. My friends were talking me out for an extra special birthday and I ended up feeling guilty for they spending way too much money on disappointing food. I didn't get the names of the two wait-staff that helped us but they were the saving grace. The girl who I assume was supposed to be the hostess was too busy in her phone to acknowledge us when we left. An expensive disappointment which I'll feel guilty about for awhile. Not what I wanted for my birthday! My friends are wonderful and said it didn't matter but I feel it did.

Was here for a special occasion and asked for a window seat. We weren't greeted at the door and were seated at an interior table no explanation. It was very loud in the entrance and a little jarring. Once seated our waiter gave us menus, left us to review and came back and abruptly asked if we were ready. I suppose I expected a softer welcoming to the restaurant with perhaps asking if we had been there before and did we have any questions about the menu. Fortunately we had a delicious meal which we enjoyed very much. They were served promptly and were very hot from the kitchen. When we left we walked out to the front entrance and no one said goodbye. Just think their hospitality towards the customer could be more sincere and warm.

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch to experience the food of one of our favorite places to visit. The gnocchi and the salmon was amazing. But we had to start with the peppered calamari. Will definitely come back!

Visited here for Sunday Brunch, a weekday lunch and a dinner. The food was amazing every time. I did think that the dinner portions were a little small and felt like the lunch portion was larger than what was served at dinner. At Sunday Brunch, there is bottomless sangria or mimosas for $21. There is also an amazing grilled cheese that is on the Brunch menu.

Wonderful atmoshere , feel as if you are in Italy or greece Most of food excellent , ( recommend the bronzino) Will be back

The services was great, food was good. I had Scallop and bread with pears. It taste so good. It's an Italian restaurant. The service was excellent. The outside lounge is great.

I highly recommend this restaurant. we ordered different dishes and all of them were amazing and so tasty!!

Good food (nothing extraordinary), good value...excellent spot for a private event as they have wonderful menus and beautiful places.

Modern, European vibe with excellent food and great atmosphere. We have been here many times and although the menu changes periodically we always have a great experience. The lemon drop martini is a big hit.

We were looking forward to dining here with the opening of outside seating. The food was ok, even though they were out of the black pasta. The waiter was lackadaisical with not bringing napkins and tableware, finally presented by the hostess. A so-so evening, unfortunately.

Ate here on a recommendation and was able to walk right in and grab 2 seats at the bar. We ordered some wine (their wine menu is limited) and then ordered plates to share. We ordered oysters to start which were fresh and tasty, followed by calamari and gnocchi. Both were decent but not spectacular and fairly expensive. The atmosphere was quiet that evening, but there were many interesting couples to watch so it made for a nice evening

Let me start off with, all of our plates were licked clean.... the food was absolutely delicious. The kids lived their spaghettini with meat balls!! Me and my wife both ordered the rack of lamb, which was amazing!!! Tacos were excellent! Desert was very good as well. Def top notch, and the serve was super nice! Would come back!

We hosted our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner in the Sopra Room at Positano Coast on a stunning July evening. Kim was fantastic, ensuring the food kept coming and the wine glasses stayed filled. The bartender was exceptional with the drinks. The ambiance, cuisine, and overall value were outstanding. Our guests are still reminiscing about the wonderful experience. Thank you, Positano Coast, for contributing to our children’s unforgettable wedding weekend. We look forward to returning.

Positano Coast is situated close to the Hilton at Penn’s Landing. The restaurant feels a little dated, but the food is good and well priced. Service good and the restaurant is light and spacious. Excellent for small or large groups.

We went for lunch during restaurant week and started off with mussels. It was a big portion with tasty mussels prepared in a great sauce. I had the hamburger which was char broiled perfectly with bacon and onions as well as french fries. My husband had the salmon and his complaint was that the salmon was overwhelmed by the tomato sauce it was prepared in. The little tiramisu and mousse dessert were the perfect size to just provide something sweet with our meal. We will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu.

I won’t judge the service because post-pandemic staffing is a widespread problem. Our concern is this is an Italian restaurant and they can’t prepare basic Italian dishes with a minimal degree of authenticity. Simple salads, appetizers and some easy seafood dishes were fine. The place has a nice space and a good vibe.

This is a awesome laidback but upbeat restaurant. We went Friday night around 6:30pm and they had an DJ going. From start to finish the food was amazing! I definitely recommend getting the chilled lobster appetizer, LOVED IT! The drinks were also strong but VERY GOOD, they did not disappoint! We’ll definitely be back!

While attending a conference we decided to check this restaurant out based on menu and outdoor seating. Neither disappointed and the service was great! There was an item on the menu that I had not heard of and our server was kind enough to let us try it prior to finalizing our order. It's the little things that make a visit that much more special.

I had an outdoor dinner at the Positano Coast during the pandemic in early january. The staff did it their best to made our stay warm and confortable. The service was quick and careful. I had a delicious fried calamari, a crab cake and a dessert.
Terrible Service on our Visit
We came on a Saturday night with a group. The restaurant was packed. Service was absurdly slow and food nothing special.
