We ordered lunch here during a business trip and loved it! The sandwiches looked great and my chicken chicken salad was fantastic. Wish we had one in Spokane, WA!!

We visited their downtown store for breakfast, it was great. Cooked to order sandwiches, on the type of bread you want, and the ingredients you want...outstanding !

A co-worker took me to Potbelly while I was in town on business. What a nice treat. A quick lunch with a delicious freshly made sandwich. The bread was great, the toppings were plentiful and delicious. Try the hot peppers and the pickles on the sandwich...delicious. The atmosphere is great for lunch. Comfortable and a real city deli feel inside. They also offer great soups and salads along with the sandwich menu along with some really tasty milkshakes. Give it a try if you are looking for a good solid lunch.

Needed a quick lunch right downtown Portland and the choices were few. Walked into potbelly, ordered a sandwich and a salad. Both were well above the standard for a fast food type sandwich shop, fast, very flavorful, just great food. Service with a smile too and a clean restroom (in that part of Portland!)

This is a great place for soup and sandwiches. Prices are reasonable, everything's fresh, service is quick, and the staff is friendly. And next time I'm going to splurge and have the Oreo milkshake.

We waited to try this place until our last day in town. Ohh the deli gods were good to us on that day. Good food, nice price great service and a good location. We wanted to try the Pizza Sandwich but they were out of the ingredients so we went with Meatball instead, it was amazing. Soup was delish, as was the chilli! Good find! Don't wait until the last day to come here like us, go in and enjoy!

VERY fast service, reasonably priced. Somewhat limited choices compared to other chains, but what they do have is fresh, tasty and high quality. Love their chopped hot pepper and olive spread (you can take home a bottle if you like)

My office had Potbelly for lunch today and I ordered the Uptown Salad with a balsamic vinaigrette. I must say the salad was delicious and ginormous. All the ingredients were fresh and the flavors were fantastic. I had over half of the salad left by the time I was full. I also liked that their sandwiches come with an array of bread options so if you're trying to cut some carbs, they have some great options.

Ate here before attending a show at the Keller...good thing we got there early as the folks started pouring in. Just walking in we knew why as the aroma was fantastic. And the menu...what choices you have...took us a while to make up our minds. The folks working were the best!!! Friendly and most helpful in describing each of the sandwiches, soups and the like. We finally decided upon the Smoked Ham, the Farmhouse Salad and the Classic Tomato Soup....all were delicious and after we ate we couldn't resist a couple of cookies...just as good as homemade! We will be going back if not for a show at the Keller, if we're just in for a sandwich and soup. And the staff...Nikki, Cody, Thomas and Taylor....friendly, helpful and efficient. They made us feel welcome and you know they appreciated us coming in. Staff and food are all "winners!"

I know this is not the one in airport but if you are at airport, not a bad sandwich. Not afraid to put meat on it. Toasted with all the toppings makes for a decent lunch

The sandwich was very fresh. The ingredients were first rate. The double chocolate cookie was ver chocolate-y and was worth every penny. Will definitely eat here again.

Small, clean, just like a subway. Had there Mac$Cheese a foot long Italian and my wife had their club. All the food was good - however- this is a stop and eat , no frills place. Just the spot for a quick snack when you do not want to cook or dress up! Also, There is only paid parking- $2 for about an hour.

I have eaten at Potbelly sandwich restaurants all over the USA and the one here in Portland Oregon is just as good as the others. Great roast beef sandwich and good chicken and cheddar. I love the hot peppers. Good.

Loved the sandwhich and salad we had. The service was quick and friendly and they had very good prices. Enjoyed downtown Portland and the ambience that we experienced. For dessert we had a sugar cookie and a fresh fruit shake! We will be going back soon!

Went there for a quick bite and ate a delicious chicken salad sandwich for chicken lovers - add some mayo, mustard and pickles at the flavors addition station. And don't miss the milkshake - the strawberry one was yummy with delicious fruit pieces.

On a day trip with my love. Stopped in after getting off Red Rail. Soup and small sandwich was perfect for a cool day. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

To someone new this is a confusing place to get in line and order...we had to ask where to go.....I dunno maybe it was just us. Granted we were frozen to the bone and just wanted to get in from the cold but I rather thought just two soups and a stellar corner for location warranted more varieties! The place had a continual flow of people and I guess I envisioned a place w a big ol potbelly stove and lots of charm! The previous reviews I read said sandwiches were good which I did not experience so 2 b fair if u want something hot and filling this wud qualify!

Service is good and employees are friendly. Seems to have a good standard of hygiene when making the sandwiches, at least the guy who made mine did. Important, since in many establishments, many people do not.

Terrific environment, Good food, great prices. My friends and I were visiting Portland and shopping downtown, when it started to rain (Of course it did , this is Portland!) Not to be deterred I headed over to a street vendor, however, my friend being made of a thin paper like substance, seemed to be melting, so we meandered (she ran) to the pot belly for shelter. Oh the smells of fresh baked bread and various seasonings put it in mind that we would take the last available table and enjoy the substance belonging to the smells. I'm not sorry we did. I enjoyed a perfectly palatable Mediterranean sandwich and a warm cheddar broccoli soup . Perfect price point too!

Potbelly was our savior during the LeakyCon convention. I was able to order PB&J sandwiches at 7:00 a.m. for my teens to pack for later at the convention as well as breakfast sandwiches that they ate on the light rail on the way. Unfortunately, Potbelly doesn't open until 10:00 on the weekends...I enjoyed a delicious ham, swiss, mushroom and egg breakfast sandwich and coffee while people-watching from the safety of the restaurant across from Pioneer Square. Great value too!

This place was packed the day we tried it for lunch and very popular with office workers. Its staple is sandwiches - turkey/swiss etc - and they have a conveyor belt operation making them. Reasonably priced - $14 for two - and tasty.

I ate here today for the first time, and I liked my sandwich. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly, and my family got our food quickly. The restaurant was clean. Families with kids would enjoy coming here.

Potbelly Sandwich works has great sandwiches. They are made right there in front of you. The ingredients are fresh and the sandwich tasted very good.

I am staying at nearby The Nines hotel and wanted some good hometown food. I found this shop just by chance and I'm glad I did. The sandwich and chili were awesome and the staff was cheerful, helpful and made me feel like they appreciated my business. I'm here for a couple of more days and I'm sure to return.

Food was fresh and well prepared-service was good and friendly. Not for gourmet dinning but perfect for breakfast and lunch

We had our lunch here during a day in Portland city. Very nice, large sandwiches. Lot's of choice, also salads. Good value for money, friendly staff.

Since I was staying in downtown Portland for three weeks, I quickly found this wonderful spot and ate there at least half a dozen times. Their creative sandwich options are outstanding! I discovered an affinity for avocado on sandwiches and salads!!!!

I had never been to this chain before but wanted a quick breakfast sandwich. The regular size bacon egg & cheese was okay but tiny. Much smaller than the breakfast sandwich at Subway. Pleasant staff.

Lunch crowd was handled quickly, and the food was very good, even in a take-out. The sandwich was very filling, and the prices were very reasonable. And they served a really good milkshake, with multiple flavors for the same basic price (30¢ extra for adding banana), but chocolate/coffee flavors were delicious, and the shake was still thick and cold when I brought it back to my hotel conference.

First time visiting and stopped in on a lunch break. The line was a little crazy, and the menu was a little confusing, but I ended up getting a mushroom melt skinny and a cup of tomato soup. Both were really good on a cold day, but keep in mind that seating is pretty limited. I wouldn’t bring friends or coworkers here during a busy period.

Stopped in for a quick bite. Loved the peppers on my Italian sandwich. Service was quick and efficient.

I love this place. Sandwiches at Potbelly are incomparable. They make their own hot peppers which makes the sandwich even more tasty. The service is quick. The staff are nice. I wish they open here in California.

Semi-fast food. Order at the counter. Friendly staff. She had the flat pizza sandwich. Mine was the better one, the flat Italian sandwich. Total for 2 was $11.90. Original twist on many sandwiches. Eat indoor or outdoor. Fast, clean, tasty.

At 6.00 PM on 2/13/2018 we went to the Potbelly restaurant in downtown Portland OR for the first time and what a mistake it was. We went to purchase a grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich for our grand son who has severed eggs allergies. We were not familiar with this restaurant concept and we were trying to figure it out. While we were reading the menu posted on the wall behind the prep line, a bearded employee standing behind the counter told us to order from him. We explained to him that our grand son is very allergic to eggs and to make sure that the sandwich ingredients had no egg product in it. He looked at another female employee who was standing beyond him and they both told us to ask the next person who will be assembling the sandwich. They did not bother to check the ingredients and answer our question. They just told us to ask the next employee on the assembly line. We then walked a couple of feet on the left and stopped in front of another employee who was a young lady. I was able to see the sandwich with melted cheese coming out of a conveyor belt toaster and the bread was burnt and the cheese was brown. I told the employee to look at the sandwich and told her that the bread was burnt. She started to argue with me and told me that there was nothing wrong with the sandwich! So far none of the employees were empathetic to my grand son egg allergies and could’nt care less! We just walked out and went somewhere else to find a place who would serve my grand son a quality product and would listen to his diatery restriction being severely allergic to eggs. His life could be in danger if he is exposed to eggs. I also noticed that the trash can behind the counter was overflowing with trash and the kitchen floor was full of debris and very dirty. The restaurant was empty and the whole place look very dirty. Very poor employee attitude and very poor customer service. Will never never patronize this establishment . Don’t waste your money if the employees don’t want your business and don’t make you feel welcome.

This was my first visit to this chain. The sandwiches are on the small side, but so is the price. They are toasted - which is great! They also have breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal if you need breakfast. About half of the seats are regular tables and half are high stools (which I hate!). The decor is a plus - definitely nota sterile sandwich environment.

This is my first visit here as I tend to be more of a salad person than a sandwich person. When I arrived, the line to place my order was rather long Fortunately, there was a man taking orders along the line so the line moved very quickly and I had my delicious salad in no time. My salad was excellent!!! Next time i would add avocado for some extra yumminess. This huge salad is only $8.15. The sandwiches look fantastic and every customer eating a sandwich looked more than satisfied. The employees are super friendly and efficient. Tipping is not allowed.

The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Chose a basic sandwich or create your own. The Italian sandwich was great and toasting it made it even better.

Two of us had Philly Chease Steaks. The Philadelphian said the were almost authentic. But the were tasty. It was busy and they messed up our order, but they took care of it. Pay attention if there is a line to be sure you get your correct order.

My wife was the only woman in the whole place; this seems to be a popular lunch spot for manual laborers of all stripes. It seems to have a nice niche as a not-just-for-moms sandwich stop. The sandwiches are meaty, generously portioned, and delicious. I left wishing I could have tried a few more menu items. I enjoyed the quick service and warm environment.

Sandwiches are delicious and ingredients are of grest quality. The size is also a plus. The meats are very good too.

Ordered the Mediterranean "Biggie" with Chicken and left hungry and unimpressed. While sandwich was OK it needed more. Friendly service. Noticed some reviews compared it with Subway and I would somewhat agree. Meat portions were light or measured. You add ingredients (lettuce, tomato, onions and so forth) after sandwich preparation. Drinks are self served. They did have some good looking desserts (had the dream bar). They serve soups, salads and even smoothies so in that regard better than Subway. Looks like they have both inside & outside tables. While the line to order appeared consistent, many vacate tables, only two occupied. Was here mid morning.

This shop is just a really cool rustic place for hangin out with other dudes or grabbin a sandwich or just smellin the smell of bread being toasted.

For the money and quick eats, this is the place to go in Portland. Good food, fast service, and good value

Ate here for breakfast and lunch. Service was very quick, but has a "conveyor belt" feel like most fast food. Very clean and roomy. Live musical performers added interesting atmosphere. Good food, great location.

The sandwiches here are tasty! I think the bread/buns really make them great. My only wish is that they would use fresh turkey (it was the cured meat and the description of the sandwich made you think it was fresh turkey. There were lots of cool bottled beverages (including root beer and sparkling juices).

Sandwich Chain Winner! This was our first experience with Potbelly and holy crap i think im addicted. Forget Jersey Mikes, Forget Subway, Forget Jimmy Johns this IS the sandwich chain to get. Food we ordered: A Wreck: A meaty fan favorite! Turkey breast, hickory smoked ham, Angus roast beef, salami, swiss. I go sans ham and fully loaded including the best topping the hot peppers. Chips: Zapp's Voodoo potato chips they have a good variety of Zapps but i find them to be lacking compared to say Miss Vickies or even the regular Common Doritos/Lays. We did go with Salt and Vinegar and BBQ both were just OK. Soup: Vegetable Soup which was very good, easily the best sandwich shop soup by far, hearty hot and tasty. Broccoli Cheddar Soup: Also really good very cheesy delicious Drinks: Iced Tea was delicious Dessert: We tried the Double Chocolate Chip cookie and it was amazing as well soft chewy and delicious. Prices are about as expected for a sandwich shop. They do get very busy and have a lot of pickup orders. The staff was friendly and helpful, they accommodated the specifics on the order.

Tasty sandwiches and sides. Reasonable pricing. I like using Grub-hub to do the delivering. Avoid the line and very speedy. Recommended

We came for a quick lunch. I was impressed with the pleasant atmosphere as well as my delicious sandwich. I did not expect live music at lunch in a place such as Potbelly! I guess that is one of the joys of Portland!

Fast and efficient service coupled with a pleasant atmosphere makes this restaurant great for either a quick breakfast or more extended sandwich lunch. The locations is excellent for shopping or sightseeing.

I stopped for coffee and both young women were so friendly. They made helpful suggestions for breakfast. Blueberry breakfast sandwich was tasty. I had eaten at another Potbelly location earlier in my trip (PDX airport) , and was glad to find consistent, fresh food.

Went here and not to the sandwich chain as we wanted to have a good GF option. The salad was quite good but not special. Same for the sandwiches, the ingredients were a bit better but the size for same price smaller. Staff was friendly and professional. All together a good option but not exceptional at all.

I visited this restaurant while on a business trip to Portland. The sandwiches at this restaurant are simply tasty! The atmosphere was very nice also, not loud and great seating. I would much rather visit this restaurant any day than go to Subway, etc. I would definitely return!

We called at Potbelly for a quick sandwich. We were welcomed, helped to construct a great baguettes and served with some steaming fresh coffee. Everything was fresh, the facilities were spotless and the staff were friendly. Great job Potbelly

Wandering around in downtown Portland in search of lunch, we asked a stranger on the street for suggestions. He didn't hesitate to recommend Potbelly that was nearby. This busy, friendly place has a long list of menu items, but we both chose the flatbread gyro. Such a great mingling of spices, textures & taste! We will definitely return for more!

Not many people know this place serves breakfast. They have breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese, and sausage options. My favorite is their oatmeal. I would ordinarily never order oatmeal somewhere, but it's a great, healthy, and inexpensive breakfast option. For less than a latte, I can get a big bowl to go with my choice of cranberries, walnuts, raisins, bananas, brown sugar, and apples. Service is friendly and quick.

From the first time i walked in this place I felt welcome! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Chicken and Cheddar sandwich on multi-grain bread was amazing! Next time i'm in Portland I'm definitely going to try the chicken salad. This is the one place i will continue to visit whenever I'm in Portland!!!!

Stopped here for lunch during conference. Extremely close to the Hilton and food was delicious. They fill up quickly so get there early!

I wanted a semi healthy dinner. I didn't have any idea what to order. The couple ahead of me ordered the Mediterranean salad. Delicious, filling, and fresh ingredients! Just wonderful, and around $7.00 or so for a filling dinner! ( the sandwiches looked yummy too. I guess I just wasn't in the mood for one😇

I heard a lot of hype about this place from my friends so I went to try it with my wife. I had the smoked ham and my wife had the clubby. She loved her sandwich. I thought the smoked ham tasted a little funny That night, I was feeling a little sick. Maybe I just chose the wrong sandwich. I won't be coming back here.

A nice step up from other chain sandwich shops. This visit I did was at the:2096 NW Stucki Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97124 location. Enjoyed the atmosphere, plenty of parking.

Very good sandwiches and very friendly funny guy making it. clean place too. In front of a nice park.

Hard to beat such a treat when you're in a hurry and on your feet! This franchise sandwich shop eve offers a low cal option by digging out the white if the bread and leaving you with the best part...crunchy crust! Hot, cold or serve it up spicy and bold! YUMM!

We were downtown for the rose parade and this little place was right across from the Pioneer Square. I would recommend the meatball sandwich which was served on a multigrain bread and was very good. The wife had half a sandwich with their tomato soup. She said it was delicious. I would have given them five stars but the line was very slow and the menu was a little hard to grasp for a first timer. The food was outstanding and we would go back for more.

The farmhouse salad was very good and loaded with goodies. The quality, quantity and value were very good.

The meat tasted old and slimy I spat it out so fast and u noticed the person next to me was looking at their food in a weird manner so I asked them what did they ordered and if it was good and they said noooo not good at all he said that he has eaten there a few times before and today was so bad he almost threw up we then compared our food and we noticed that both the meet from our sandwiches did not look good or tasted it at all, the lady apologized many times and said that they where having problems with their fridge..... well then why would you serve meat that has been compromised or not check it before serving it?

My cousin was visiting from out of town and we happened to be near this location. They have had Potbelly before and wanted to get a sandwich. I got a turkey sandwich and they got a ham sandwich. We immediately knew something was off after the first bite. It tasted sour. When we opened our sandwiches, we noticed the meat on both had a strange odor and was slimy. It wasn’t like it had just gone bad, but as if it was rotten. We ended up throwing our food away and neither of us felt well for the remainder of the day. I don’t know what’s going on with this location, but I would not recommend eating here.

When we went into Potbelly we knew we wanted a milkshake. The cashier told us we can order any of their classic flavors (chocolate, mixed berry, banana, etc.) or mix any of the flavors together. We ordered a chocolate, strawberry, banana milkshake and it was delicious. It tasted like a banana split! I would highly recommend this mix of flavors. Also the salads are made to order. Its a lively cafe feel. The service is great- the employees are always smiling and upbeat, offering suggestions. We plan to be returning customers.

Checked in my hotel and walked straight down here for great sandwich goodness and atmosphere. Ordered a simple roast beef with mustard/mayo and pickles and got chips, a cookie, and a drink, all for under $10 (I mean, seriously, what a great deal). The guy at the register was exceptionally nice and we chatted about the music on the speakers (REM's Harbor Coat…talk about a blast from the past). I sat at the counter overlooking the street and enjoyed my lunch before heading back to the hotel and getting ready for my conference.

I stopped by around 2 PM on a Monday afternoon for a quick lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service, as well as the reasonable pricing and decent selection. I got a toasted Italian sandwich and a cup of lentil with turkey sausage soup. The soup was very good, not too salty and with a full flavor and good balance of vegetables and meat. The sandwiches had a good portion of meat. The sandwiches are not huge, like what you might expect at an East Coast sub shop, but they are reasonable. It was great that the calorie amounts were included with each selection, and that the staff was helpful and allowed tasting of the soup. I got a reasonably priced, healthy lunch for less than $9. This is a much better choice than the Subway or McDonald's which are both only a couple of blocks away. However, since the shop is located so close to Pioneer Square, you could just as easily walk another three blocks northwest and visit one of the large cart pods where you will have a huge selection and normally reasonable pricing. I recommend this restaurant.

After totally missing breakfast, we were looking for lunch prior to exploring. We walked into the shop and found quick, helpful service and fantastic food. Since we returned again later in the week. I can heartily recommend this for grabbing something to go, or sitting in the window people watching. The sandwiches were great, and so was the loaded baked potato soup. Would definitely recommend going to this restaurant.

We grabbed a quick sandwich to take out and liked it so much that we came back the next day! Reasonable prices and great food.

Service was exceptional for our group of four, who showed up five minutes prior to closing. We were indecisive group, but our order taker, waited patiently while we perused menu, asked questions and finally decided on our sandwiches. One individual ordered a malt and after tasting, we all had to get a malt. The malts were exceptional, were tiny shortbread cookies as an accompaniment.

I buy take out sandwiches and soup here at least twice a week. Good service. Tasty food. I recommend for anyone who works in the downtown area.

I am not a chain kind of person, when I come to pdx, I want to do as the locals do, I want to eat the real flavors of Portland. But pot belly did not disappoint, friendly and assertive staff, delicious food and that corner delicatessen feel. Warm fresh bread and the veggies on my sandwich were fresh and tasty. Excellent prices too!

centrally located and nicely appointed Sandwich Bar. you have to try one of the fresh cookies they bake daily!

great food but POTBELLY IS TRANSPHOBIC! Please, allow me to explain. I have gone into Potbelly several times because their food is delicious and their location is convenient for Trimet users. As i am a commuter, when picking up my lunch i tend to utilize the bathroom as does my partner when she is with me. My partner happens to be a transgendered woman and every time, EVERY TIME, she asks for the "women's restroom key", she is automatically given the Men's room key. The keys are not labeled but have different handles. We haven't use their bathrooms as often as the staff to know which is which so my partner naturally tries the woman's door and the key doesn't work so she has to return it to the counter and ask for the correct key. again-every time AND it's been a different staff member every time. it's tough for her to return the key as in these situations her feelings/ego are hurt but she IS a woman so she must. In continuing, allow me to note that no woman should have to adhere to societal expectations of femininity, regardless of how they were born but just so you have a mental picture, my partner happens to the girly/femme type with long hair. On our most recent visit to Potbelly (on sw 6th and Yamhill in Portland) she was wearing a skirt, carrying purse. She's beautiful to boot but I'm bias. ;-) When she went back to exchange the key with the staff, she said "the key doesn't work" they responded "that's the Men's room key" after a brief pause they added that the women's was in use. I politely said "she'll wait" and we returned the key. I ordered our food, had it made and they key had not yet been given to my partner and she had not been acknowledged again although she had been waiting awhile. I went and asked if the key had become available (to the same staff member), it was not. the staff member said "it's the same set up"- i assume they meant the two bathrooms so i replied, "the difference is, you wouldn't have given me that key" (I am a cis woman) "yes, I would've", "not without saying a word to me" "yes, i would've", they defended but COME ON PEOPLE! What woman is even going to TRY the Men's bathroom door?! There might be a man in there or worse yet, cootees! ANY woman would try the unlabeled key in the woman's door, then return it to the counter to say it doesn't work. every time. Potbelly is transphobic I BOYCOTT.

It’s my first time eating at PotBelly and I’m glad to try to their sandwiches. They are good. My fiance ordered the roastbeef sandwich and I got the chicken salad sandwiches. I love that the chicken sandwich is subtle with not much mayonnaise. They didn’t put any fillers (like huge chunk of celery or onions, etc) too like some other sandwich places would. Staff is very friendly. Everything tasted fresh. I love the toasted wheat bread. Wish we have one in the Bay Area.

Was just in Portland and tried Potbelly for lunch it was very obvious that their food would be great by the line of people in line to order. The food did not disappoint. The young man who took my order and the lady who eloped prepare the order were fantastic. The extremely rude and condescending guy who took my money apparently thinks people, or at least maybe people from the south are stupid. Ruined an otherwise good meal. My friends wanted to eat there again, as we were in town for a few days. I refused to spend another dime at this establishment.

I ate lunch here with some friends while in Portland in April, 2017. I had an excellent Mediterranean salad which was served fresh and quickly. It was delicious. My friends had sandwiches and they liked both of them. You place an order, get you meal, then grab a table. Very causal and easy. Inexpensive and good. Great lunch spot.

In addition to good coffee and sandwich, I could spend very relaxing time. Wifi was also available.

We were staying down the block and looking for a small breakfast and later alight lunch. Potbelly filled the bill.

Our group chanced on this local favorite at lunch time. The service was surprisingly quick, the prices reasonable, and the food very good. They offer a nice selection of sandwiches and salads with fresh ingredients... and it's all made to order. The Uptown Salad is great.

First time and very surprised at the quality of the sandwiches. Good choices of the sandwiches available and they were very tasty. A small place so go before lunch to get a table..

Toasted sub sandwiches, soup & nothing fancy here. Energetic service, ok prices. Good place for a quick & casual lunch downtown.

feeding a large crew can be a challenge but potbelly stepped up to the plate. We placed orders for several sandwiches all different and all were made correctly! We were so pleased that we went back a second time. Really think this has become my favorite sandwich shop!

Subway like place but much better ingredients. Hot or cold sandwiches and good soups. Good for a quick lunch, but also has breakfast sandwiches. Good value. Friendly staff.

We visited this sandwich shop on a Saturday. The line was long and the menu options looked good, but we didn’t really enjoy our experience there. My husband had their signature sandwich but felt it wasn’t any more tasty than a Subway sandwich. He asked for a coffee shake and was told it wasn’t available. Then he requested a plain coffee and was told the shop doesn’t serve coffee on the weekends...really? In Portland? I only wanted a half salad but was told I couldn’t have it unless I ordered a combo meal which I did not want so I ended up eating half of a salad and trashing the rest. The employees were very lackluster about everything and we felt as if we were expected to know the ordering process and that fact that we didn’t was irritating to them. Perhaps this was an off day because obviously a lot of people like this place but we would not go back.

The staff was great, soup and sandwich both tasted great. Not a fancy place, just an easy walk from the Hilton and yummy.

I had a lovely sandwich at Potbelly's. I didn't eat most of the bread, but really enjoyed the sandwich, pickle, and chips. I was at a conference and needed something fast and good. It hit the spot.

Loved the sandwiches. And the Pickles are amazing!! Really neat sandwich shop. It was clean, quick, and we had live music for lunch. What more can I ask for.

A solid little shop near the center of Portland. If you want something simple, fast, and delicious this is the place to go.

The service was pretty poor here. It took a while to get the sandwich and the quality wasn't great even after getting it. I got the pizza sandwich and it was more like bread with a little bit of other stuff. No wonder you get a potbelly, just eating mostly bread in the sandwiches.

The staff was great. The location was convenient. Very fast and friendly service! And the sandwiches were DELICIOUS!

Variety of sandwiches with different types of fillings.Very tasty and reasonable prices. Shop also sells soups ,salads and beverages. Very quick service even at peak lunchtime. Enjoyed our breakfast and lunch very much Highly recommended for a quick snack..

Great prices, wide selection for picky eaters, fresh food, and super nice servers. What more can you ask for in a downtown city center.

Great tasting freshly made sandwiches. We tried the chicken salad, hammy and tuna melt. We were impressed with the fresh ingredients and they tasted just great. The milkshakes were fab. Friendly staff.

Their mediterranean salad was nothing more than a bunch of ice cold iceberg lettuce - with only 4 pieces of baby spinach. Also ordered the Avotoast to try, and was told that I needed to include either a soup or salad (couldn't order it by itself). Paid nearly $6 dollars for it, and they forgot to include the soup I had ordered with it in my package. Another example of a chain restaurant that once it's established, begins to cut corners lowering the overall quality of their products.

A very nice quick and easy sandwich . Also there soup of the day was very good. We enjoyed sitting in the window seats and watching the leaves falling from the trees. lots of fall color

I was inPortland for 5 days and had lunch here 3 times. I did not know it was a chain till someone told me. No chain feeling. Friendly, fast and the food is very tasty.

Never been there before, but I will go back on my next visit to Portland. Not too many options to overwhelm, and lots of extras available.

I'm from NY, where pastrami is king. They served me pretty good pastrami at Potbelly. I'm not sure I can give a higher compliment than that.

Potbelly is located in PDX terminal C. They make sandwiches in a way that reminds me of Quiznos. I had the Mediterranean Chicken sandwich and it was quite good. Not too big, not too small. There's a seating area right outside of the restaurant.

This is a great place for lunch or a light dinner. They do close at 8 PM on weekdays and 7 PM on weekends though. The menu contains sandwiches and salads, all very fresh. There is a "light menu" of items with fewer calories. The seating is comfortable with lots of seats by the windows. The value is excellent, and the staff helpful and friendly.

The sandwiches were good, exactly what we were after to fill a craving. Ordered a side of chili, because why not?!? Let me tell you…. The chili was GREAT! Way better than I expected and when compared to other chili, wins every time. Spice was just right and ingredients were all fresh on our sandwiches.

This is a nice sandwich shop right downtown. The sandwiches were fresh and hot. You can tell they use good quality ingredients. Nice atmosphere too as they had a live guitarist playing. Good for a quick lunch.

During our Portland stay, we were looking for a lunch place in downtown and decided to try the potbelly. We all ordered different items from the menu but all the items were just ok. Might be ok for a quick lunch, but there are much better options in the area.

Absolutely outstanding quick sandwich outlet. The food here is well above your expectations. Simply the best fast food sandwich outlet in the area. Good Job folks, and its right next to a Starbucks which makes it even better.

Fast, hot and large sandwiches. Went with the Wreck and it was great, got it large size and had the other half the next day. A great value and an even better taste.

you'd think coz it's right smack in downtown that it would be mediocre, but this sandwich shop has an excellent selection, quick service, and yummy food!

Their sandwiches are very yummy. I visited during a peak mid-week lunch time and was impressed with how quickly I went through the line. They have fast and efficient service.

Got to my customer site early in downtown Portland and was hoping for coffee and breakfast. I found Potbelly Sandwich. I was surprised that they were open for breakfast. I got a simple sausage egg and cheese sandwich, with a coffee. Really good, at a really good price. The staff was very friendly. At lunch, my coworkers asked for suggestions. I mentioned Potbelly. I went for their Mediterranean Salad. Another extremely satisfying surprise at a great price. A truly good value. Quickly served. Plenty of seating. An easy lunch decision.

It's good, but to me it seemed like a glorified Quiznos. Nothing very special about it, but still tasted good.

We were looking for something quick and (reasonably) healthy while out shopping. Decided to get two cups of soup and share the Mediterranean Sub with Chicken. The soup was pretty standard but we both wished we had the whole sandwich to ourselves. Bread was not too thick and definitely didn't take away from the yummy toppings. Didn't even know it was a chain until I saw the reviews here. Disguised well as a cool Portland original.

after walking all day sightseeing downtown it was nice to just get a seat and watch the world go by for a little bit, the staff was very friendly, after I ordered my lunch they kept up a conversation about how much they enjoyed there city and what I still needed to see, sandwich was very filling

We ate here three times over two days. The sandwiches are just so good! They looks small but are stuffed with meat and veggies. And the staff was really friendly and upbeat. They seem to enjoy their jobs and are genuinely happy to see customers. The restaurant itself is clean with ample seating. Window seats are fun for people watching.

After a week on the road, it was nice to see a familiar place- Potbelly. Not only are the subs delicious (toasted, chewy fresh bread and fresh ingredients) but the people working here are also very friendly. Great location right in the heart of things by the local squares. Buy what you need before closing or you might get your change in pennies because they can't open the cash drawer- but to my 9 year old this was a really cool way to get change!
Great sandwich
I went with the wreck it was awesome there mustard is great is similar to a Dijon but better... Great prices too I would go again
