We were seated at a filthy table... even the seats were filthy and we had to try to track down a server and then wait for someone to track down someone else to even get hem wiped down so we could sit down. And this was AFTER being directed to the table by the hostess. We waited 20 min before even being approached by the server serving our table. Brought an ordered draft to the table and proceeded to pour the cider ordered into the glass like slops. After that, we never saw him again... he never came back to check on us and we sat there for over an hour. Better options in the terminal... if you want prompt service (because you ARE traveling after all) and a place that looks like people even give a darn, give this place a swerve. I will next time I'm traveling through O'Hare.

I am a solo traveler and heard good things about the Publican at O'Hare. Debra was my server and she was efficient, helpful and very professional. I ordered the Fish Sandwich with a little trepidation, as I kept thinking a burger might be a better choice, given it WAS the airport LOL I was surprised by the most excellent fish sandwich on a brioche bun - absolutely delicious. The menu is excellent and everything that I saw come out of the kitchen looked delicious from the fries to the salads. The bloody marys looked very good as well. It is very difficult to find excellent food in any airport. The Publican delivers and Debra delivered it with kindness and patience in an extremely busy location.

The O’Hare airport sucks... but this was a pleasant spot to eat in terminal 3. My husband had the beet sandwich. He is usually a meat eater but said his sandwich was very hearty, refreshing, and delicious. His fries were average. I got the turkey salad, which was very fresh, although by the end I thought the dressing had a bit too much vinegar. I think I would get a sandwich next time. Prices are a bit steep but normal for the airport, and you get a good amount of food for your dollar. Service was simply adequate.

Visited 2/11/19, 2:06 p.m. - Server: Vito - Ordered Pub Burger and Sierra beer - Food was excellent, very tasty burger! Vito was awesome, attentive but no overwhelming so, very polite, friendly and up-beat...Can dine inside or at the bar which faces outside - great set up for people watching! Sat at the bar, was able to get some work done on my lap top...great experience, if I had my own restaurant, I'd hire Vito on the spot. THANKS VITO!

Stuck for hours.... This was a great find for delicious food and a waiter with great wine knowledge!

We had a business meeting here before a flight. Dinner wasn't terrible for an airport restaurant, but pricey. And overseasoned/salty (like most bar food). The chicken was actually pretty good, though overseasoned. I ordered an appetizer of grilled veggies, and the server was very accommodating in asking whether I'd prefer the veggies instead of the usual included fries (great idea!!!). But I was extremely thirsty afterwards while waiting for my flight.

Delicious drinks!! the old fashion is worth the delay. the wings were super tasty with tangy flavor and perfect sweetness also nice caramelized crust!

Do not eat here unless you want to experience the slowest service of your life. It is completely unacceptable for an airport restaurant to fail to deliver food in a timely manner. After having to reorder several times due to their lack of food inventory- I ordered a cup of soup that took longer than 30mins to come out. I had to leave after paying before it even arrived to make my flight even after asking the waiter many times for an update and, finally, a to-go container.

Best food in an airport that I’ve ever had. Good coffee. Basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and toast. Scrambled eggs done perfectly - hot, soft, not dried out. Tasty bacon. Really tasty potatoes. Nice toast with sweetened butter and Bonne Maman strawberry jam. Pleasant service. Happy customer.

If you expect airport quality of service and food, think again. This place is one of the best I have ever seen in an airport. Constantine, the server is incredible.

After super early flight into Ohare with way more kids than preferred. I needed breaking and a drink. Possibly restore my faith in mankind. The hostess/ manager? Short on words, but very amiable. The waitress was awesome first initial S. When with the place packed and me sitting at the far edge, she never missed a beat. Bacon, eggs, ok...breakfast potatoes were the stars. Bloody Mary had a sort of Asian spice ( maybe curry/ or garm marsala?) and was different and also very good.

I well, I asked if the breakfast potatoes were like hash browns. Waitress said yes. What was brought was greasy potatoes with some type of sauce. Totally not what I was looking for. I did my best, with so much sauce and grease it was hard. When we went to pay the check the waitress short changed me by $10. Took forever to correct it. Won’t be back.

Not sure what the big deal is. Food okay, But a burger, a salad and a glass of wine + tip & tax for $50? Seems a bit expensive. At least service was quick and efficient

We had the chicken sandwich that was horrible. Dry and tasted like it was made a week ago. Regular grocery store bread for $20.00. We got fries, $2 extra. They were ok. The waitress never came to ask how everything was. We each had a couple of bites and decided not to eat anymore. She came with the bill. She asked why we ate it? She gave us 10% off, $3.00 credit. The total bill was $34 with a coke and an iced tea.

We stopped here for dinner before our flight and found confusion. When we approached the hostess stand to ask about a table after wading through the line, she stared at me. She said nothing. Finally, I asked if we could get our name on a list for dinner. I could barely hear her response. I asked if she wanted my cell phone number or name because I couldn't hear a word she said. She said a name was fine, and she would call our name within 10 minutes. Standing in line, we saw others go for tables, and finally, we heard my name. We walked up to the stand, and she said she had called us several times before. Well, we couldn't hear her at all. She needs to shout to be heard over the noise of the airport. She waved us back to a table, so off we went. Our waiter was prompt and friendly and the food was okay. We've eaten at the Publican in the city and it's far better. The food here is airport-overpriced. We saw one couple walk out after looking at the menu. So, overall, okay, but the hostess needs training.

Good food, cheap enough for an airport. The beer was good, staff very attentive. Nice place if they have space, was busy throughout my lunch.

6 weary travelers were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, excellent beer choices and fantastic service provided by Constantine. He had great suggestions, excellent knowledge of the menu, and was personable even though we were just travelers passing through. Food was tasty and unique among the options in ORD. Favorites included the beet sandwich, roasted veg salad with chicken and bacon, and the garlic aioli suggested for the fries. We will be back next time we go through ORD.

Needing to grab lunch before a mid-afternoon flight, we tried the Publican Tavern as our daughter and son-in-law highly recommend the original venue on W. Fulton in the city. This opened about six months ago so they appear to have worked out any kinks. With few exceptions (Legal Seafood at Boston's Logan for one), airports are the pits when it comes to finding a decent meal that is worth anything near what is charged at the airport. Now we can add Publican Tavern to that list. The restaurant was full but there was no wait. Service, considering the crowd, was fine. Staff seemed to cover for each other, just like in any really good restaurant. No sense of "it's not my job" here. While it's not cheap (even McDonald's prices tend to raise one's eyebrow at ORD), the portions are substantial and the food is very good. My hamburger was quite tasty with a nice seasoning and great French fries. My wife enjoyed her Chicken sandwich.

I had breakfast at The Publican Tavern O’Hare between connection. It wasn’t very busy and I asked to be seated at the bar. Unfortunately service was slow and my server was not very attentive. I decided to have the Publican Eggs Benedict which is made with a red wine sauce. It was okay but nothing I would order again. Average coffee as well. Not worth the money.

Dined at the counter, in and out in 20 minutes or so, despite a bar top 80-90% full (8-10 guests) with one server. The food is good quality, fresh and not bank breaking for an airport. However $4 for a mug of regular coffee is a tad steep these days.

killing time, we had a nice long late lunch. We were able to find dishes for gluten free and diabetic. We found the food to be good, not memorable. A little pricey, but they have a captive audience

Food was good. Service was confusing. I was served but my spouse had to wait 15 min for his meal. Some customers came and went because of lack of service. Appears they need more servers. Good location right after security check.

We arrived for our flight early and had time for a meal. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The food is locally sourced (Illinois) for the most part and the menu lists the location. Each of our party had a different item and we were all pleased with our selection. The waitress was spot on with the service and refilled drinks even before our glasses were empty. The food arrived quickly and was at the correct temperature. The prices were slightly higher than a typical restaurant, however we were at an airport and we were in Chicago where prices are generally higher overall.

I ordered the roasted 1/2 chicken plate and a Diet Coke, and it came to $35 without tip, which seemed a bit high, even for an airport. The food itself was decent: the chicken was tender and juicy and I enjoyed the fries that weren’t soggy. The issue is they put chicken jus on the chicken, which is layered on the fries. So, the initially good-tasting fries quickly became a goopy, inedible mess. The sandwiches were more reasonable in the mid- to high-teens range, which is the route I would go if I ever come back here. The service was friendly and fast.

I travel a lot and have been to a lot of airport restaurants and this one is for sure one of my top favorites. A bit of a hidden gem in terminal 3, this “tavern” has lots of seating but the bar could be a bit bigger for an airport location. The times I’ve been here though it is staffed well and service is pleasant and fairly quick. The menu is what I call “fancy” pub fare. Pork rinds are a unique find and the burger is a solid choice. Fries are on the skinny side and that is a plus in my book! Somewhat limited beer menu, but good variety and some rare finds.

We were quickly greeted and seated and we quickly made our selections from the online menu. In less than 5 minutes we had our meals. I had the eggs and fries. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the entire platter was filled with fries. Mrs. M had the mushroom platter which consisted of an egg and mushroom scramble, two slices of sourdough bread about about 5 delicious potatoes which had been boiled and then drizzled with a tasty cheesy sauce. Yum! Both of our meals were much more than we could eat and we should shared only one…the mushroom scramble! Service from Varvava was excellent and it was a great way to start our vacation!

I wish I had taken a photo of my meal, but I didn't think about that until half way into devouring it. Sorry! As my son and I passed thorough security, we were immediately drawn to the aroma of bacon! We had a couple of hours and stopped. I ordered plain scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes. The eggs were out of this world! I can't remember the last time I've had such DELICIOUS scrambled eggs! The garlic potatoes were also phenomenal. If I'm ever at O'hare for a morning flight, guess where I'm stopping first?!

Of course at the airport all prices are higher. We stopped for a brief layover at O’Hare airport we were hungry and there were limited choices. So we stopped into the restaurant for lunch. First indicator was that it wasn’t full. One other tavern in our area was busy Limited menu at this place For $30 we got 2 ginger ales, 1 burger that we shared and some fries that they called frites Small patty and huge bun and only 3 toppings The flavour was low in the scale and it was a quick eat. Not really satisfying McDonalds would be a better option

I was alone waiting for the typical Ohare delayed flight. Usually airport sit down restaurants at this price point are quick and efficient. It was 11:15 or so-not even a rushed period of time. Every step of the process took forever. I should have left when I saw a women sprinting for her flight after paying. My beet salad was delicious, and fortunately I had the required 75minutes available to eat it.

Really unique seating with continuous tables and contained booths. Being a bit older it was loud when I first walked in but it didn't become much of an issue as we settled in for our night. Hits: Oysters, BBQ carrots, tomato salad. Meh : bread service. Fail- roasted chicken and frites. Chicken was disappointing as it was incredibly salty and the frites were just plain bland French fries. Plenty of other options on the menu and I would let the one pate stop me from recommending the restaurant.

I discovered Publican Tavern when I was early for a flight and am so glad I did. The breakfast is delicious. I've been back a number of times, even going out of my way to Terminal 3. Highly recommended!

If all you want is burger and chips then you’re probably safe here. I don’t like that type of food, but thought this place looked good from the outside. The menu is very limited for choice. No pizza, lasagne, pasta dishes. I had a chicken salad, which was described to me as the Publican Tavern’s spin on Cesar Salad. What I got served was a chicken salad covered in an extremely citrus dressing, that was just about ok to eat. I can still taste the dressing. I also had a single large draught beer, which I got charged nearly $10’s. This place appears the best place to eat at T3, but from previous visits to the terminal the fast food areas are turning out better quality, more choice and for a lower price, if you don’t mind self service.

So if you want some (like seven) delicious wings... Come here. Their beers are European so the price is like $9-10 a beer. Which... In an airport, is only a dollar or so more then the rest of the joints that are completely packed. The salads are yummy too!! So in the end... If you want a cool place that has food that isn't run of the mill come here.

I am giving low marks because the price of an asparagus salad (to go) was $14. The salad looked good but I couldn't digest the price so I went to Hudson Foods nearby and got a vegetable tray for about $10. In fairness , the place was packed and food looked good.

Our waiter was incredible, couldn’t believe when he poured my red wine that he did from a carafe and started at the glass and went high full arms length, no spill or splash leaving the aroma of the delicious wine and areiated It, Got the Farm Chicken, a 1/2 Chicken resting on a bed of carrots and cauliflower, which was the best chicken I’ve ever had, I believe it is fire roasted, fantastic and must try.

We sat at the cute counter area out front. It wasn’t too busy so thought we would give it a try. Waitress was attentive. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and was offered different options. However, I think I should have just ordered it the way it came with pimento cheese and sausage. I ordered bacon on it but didn’t realize it would be Canadian bacon. The egg and bacon kept falling off the sandwich, the bun was good. It came with fried potatoes which were excellent. But my mouth just had a really greasy feel by the time I was done with the meal. I didn’t care for the $15 Bloody Mary I ordered. It wasn’t really spicy and didn’t have any pepper, didn’t care for the flavor. My husband got the Eggs Benedict and he really enjoyed it. The hollandaise has a unique flavor. The salad that came with it was great and the dressing had a light, fresh, citrusy taste to it. Overall food was ok, wish I had chosen somewhere else tho.

Great bean sausage soup but the beet salad was unique and large portion and delicious. Sitting close to fire felt warm too. Classy place for an airport!

I was greeted by two ladies that had 100 other places they would rather be. The food was just ok bill was almost 20 dollars.

We had breakfast here mid October on our way to Japan. The potatoes were excellent. Unfortunately we didn't get our toast until our eggs were cold.

Maybe the best pub food I’ve had in or out of an airport. The smoked turkey sandwich was filled with shredded turkey with a pleasantly spiced dressing, served on a light, seedy toasted bread. I ordered an accompanying side salad and was delighted with the lemon-dressed arugula. Airport food is expensive, but this is the first time I’ve walked away thinking, “ Yeah, that was worth it!”

First off, I should point out they were probably having a bad night. It was blazing hot outside and packed inside and the AC couldn’t keep up. As a result it was pretty much a sauna inside the restaurant. Secondly, and this they can help, the place was LOUD and it made conversation difficult. Turn off the music and put some baffles on the ceiling. As far as the food goes, it was interestingly adventurous and well prepared, but was missing the last element of excellence that one would expect at those prices. We all found it overpriced for what we got. Good, not great. I’d recommend the barbecued carrots, a staple there, but otherwise I found the preparations a little pedestrian.

Much better than food court options, this place offers very good salads and sandwiches. Located in terminal 3 between concourses K and L, it has a relatively large sitting area, a bar and several TVs

Nice selection of beers on drought and bottled. I didn’t try the food but it looked good. It is in terminal 3. American Airlines.

We were prepared to wait & didn’t say anything when we didn’t see the waitress for a while. Then she disappeared again for quite a while and suddenly appears with our appetizers & entree but still no drinks. She got the water, my husband’s soda. I don’t know why it took so long to get my $15 cabernet sauvignon that tasted more like a $8 bottle. Finally got it. Then we’re sitting there, obviously ready for the bill, credit card in hand & she starts picking up the dishes! Really, can you not read the room? Not a good experience & doubtful we’ll go back.

Quite surprised, we’ve been to lots of restaurants in ORD, and this is the best. Nice menu, great sandwiches and excellent service. We will return.

This is without hesitation the worst breakfast we had in almost 60 years. We were simply not able to eat the plate. Eggs were cold, bread was dry and stale, potatoes had consistency of mud. Service was very long in spite of low affluence. We had brown water served as coffee. $50 to the garbage given we had to retake Breakfast elsewhere.

Delicately cooked, crispy and flakey cod sandwich with a buttery, toasted brioche bun, arugula, red onion, and tarter sauce gribiche was fresh, filling, and full of flavor. Not your normal fast food fish sandwich! Served with potato chips but with optional upgrade to fries or side salad. Great stop in Terminal 3 in O'Hare!

Considering the overpriced dross normally available in the airport, this place is the French Laundry of airport restaurants. Outside of the TSA security barrier it would be average but inside it stands head and shoulders over the competition. Upscale pub fare crafted from something other than whatever emerges from frozen bowels of a Sysco truck, my food arrived hot and quite tasty. Yes you’ll dole out $16 for a cheeseburger but given the alternative, it’s worth the splurge. Recommended.

My wife and I were beat after our flight from Rome and decided to eat at the Publican. I had a grilled chicken salad and she had a hamburger and fries. The food was well prepared and delicious. Our waiter was very nice and the price was right for being in an airport.

Stopped on my way home with a colleague. We ordered the roasted farm chicken with frites and mixed roasted vegetables and they were both delicious. We shared these 2 plates and were both stuffed by the end of the meal. My iced tea glass was never empty. The service was attentive, plenty of seating, not crowded-in and overall we had a very nice experience. Price was what I would expect in an airport. I will be back to enjoy another meal in transit!

We wanted a sit down restaurant to enjoy dinner before flying to LAX. The service was just okay. They did have a glutenfree option. The size of my salmon was shockingly small, especially for the price. I probably won't go back there again.

We had an hour to kill so we came here for breakfast. We split a bloody Mary and they split it for us in two glasses with pickles and olives each.. I had a breakfast sandwich which comes with the most unhealthy but the best tasting potatoes! So good! A healthier option would be the eggs Benedict with a side salad of arugula. It was cooked enough so the egg was not runny. I will come back.

Probably the top airport food I have had in recent history (10 years). Located right after TSA precheck security point for American Airlines. This venue offers a good selection of beer at airport prices. The big surprise was the food. I had the turkey salad. First off it had a honey/siracha vinaigrette, which was surprising lovely. There turkey was actual breast meat, but deli slices adorning the top. Toasted pecans, blue cheese chunks and red onions. I never expected to eat a salad of this caliber in an airport. The service was a little slow, although every table was filled on a Friday night. The wife's chicken sandwich was very much to her liking. I would rather pay an extra few bucks and get tasty, quality food, than settle for standard airport fare.

O'Hare airport is my favorite to fly through with all the great places to eat and I didn't think I had new places to find until today. I tried Publican Tavern and chose the roasted vegetable salad (added chicken) and this was the BEST salad I have ever eaten. With a touch of dill and the combination of cauliflower, carrots, broccoli and pecans it was delightful. I'm not even a salad eater but my server Kial suggested it. Kial was really upbeat, friendly and efficient. I would recommend Publican Tavern and this salad to anyone passing through.

I had a layover here on the way to Scotland and needed a good breakfast. I wanted a place I could sit down and relax in rather than grab a quick breakfast sandwich and eat it on the run, so I opted for this tavern. I had a waffle and bacon and it was very good! The waffle was crisp, just the way I like it. The bacon was high quality and tasty. It was very busy here yet I got my food quickly and the waitress, while in a hurry, was pleasant.

Upon coming to my gate for departure. I had about an hour wait so I decided to go for a burger frie and drink however was met with a host who seemed confused. Told me they were closing in 10 mins and did not set me she just pointed to the bar area which was full. I let her know however she still did not direct me give me any instruction so I proceeded to seat myself. I attempted to order through the code however when trying to pay and checkout it would not let me. Once again I had to go to the hostess and she said a server would be with me. By that time it was 8 o’clock and she was once confused pointed me again to the bar. Not very accommodating and then the waitress eyed me looked at her watch and once again. I was not met with any hospitality. I proceeded to go back to where I originally set and then my access was unlocked to order. By that time I felt like both my appetite and mood was displeased. Not away to treat customers. Especially at airport prices besides there’s a chili’s right next door

Right off the bat I’d find another place to eat. Expensive and lame service. Our waitress couldn’t get a simple Coke / Diet Coke drink order even after 3 tries... a $16 burger that doesn’t come with fries? Add another $2 for fries...Really?? Ok the roll on the burger was the only excellent part of my lunch....Average and Expensive

The O'Hare International Airport has poor choices for food - at least in Terminal 3 where I seem to come most often. I avoid airport food as much as possible, but got to the airport for a return trip to home and had several hours to wait for my flight. I was traveling with a business colleague and we chose Publican Tavern for a light dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the good food and good local craft beer selection. The atmosphere was crowded and noisy... but that's what you get in a busy airport. I thought it was good food, good service, and good beer. I'm coming back!

Great place that happens to be in an airport terminal! Pub burger was excellent with ties and we split a brown butter chocolate chip cookie with the group. Coffee was excellent too! Great start to a long day of flying!

So if you have time and your hungry stop in at the Publican Tavern and grab yourself and order of the wings. The sauce is the secret its addicting and pairs so well with the yogurt dill dipping sauce. I did also order the chicken sandwich which was ok, but it wasn't cut right and made the sandwich fall apart easily, but still a great spot to stop in and eat.

I visited this restaurant prior to a flight. Based on the reviews I saw online, I ordered the chicken wings, which were absolutely outstanding! Also ordered a beet salad, which I do not regret. Delicious! The service was great and got me situated very quickly. However, it took forever to get any service after my original food order arrived. I would have easily ordered another cocktail, but ran out of time. I had to flag someone down in order to get mine bill and catch my flight. Overall, it was a good experience. However, I would just be more aware of timing and the need to track waitstaff down in the future.

Wonder staff always and a great range of food. This location is convenient for checking in to flights just past the TSA checkpoint.

The service was very good and the food average. The overall appearance was below average with dirty tables and chairs.

Getting even a cup of coffee took forever. Staff does not help each other they. Getting check took paitence as well..... food was meh...find something else

Horrible food, couldn’t identify the turkey with all the sauce trying to make it into a sandwich. Thin chicken & dry. Seemed like microwave chicken out of a box

Chicken sandwich and fries were good, and Debbie was a great server. Nice place to have a bite to eat between flights.

Food at an airport can be more of an adventure than the flight itself. Not so at O'Hare Terminal 3, where variety abounds. But one must still be selective. Stay as far away from the food court as possible. I have my favorites around the terminal but this was a new offering so I decided to try it. And I was not disappointed. Great burgers and fries with lots of toppings. The fish sandwich and beet salad were also exceptionally good for airport food. And the draft beer selections were amazing. A word for all of you naysayers who knocked off a star or two because of the price....you're at the airport!!!! You're a captive audience, so you need to go into the airport experience with the understanding that you're going to pay a lot for food. Your goal should be to get the best food possible....and this is a great option. Check it out.

We ate here prior to a flight; the service was prompt and friendly and the food delicious. Hubby had a perfectly cooked burger and I had traditional eggs over easy. Bloody Mary’s pretty tasty too.

This is our second time eating at this location for breakfast in the last three months. Each time, the food has been top notch, but the service oddly lacking. We have also eaten at Publican in the West Loop and always have loved both the food and service. Each time, the food has been fantastic. The coffee is fresh and flavorful; our respective scrambles bursting with flavor. The accompanying potatoes are delicious, with just the right amount of cheese and heat accompanying them. However, as much as I have loved the food each time, the service has not been what we are accustomed to at Publican. We have watched as order after order, including our own, have piled up under the heat lamps. Although my coffee was delicious, getting sugar and another cup proved difficult for our server. He best could be described as benignly surly and apathetic. I know it was an early hour, but it was obvious he did not want to be there. All in all, not sure we will be heading back. The food is great, but for the price ($16 breakfast entrees), the service needs to be better. Otherwise, we will be heading to Frontera.

I had breakfast here while awaiting a flight. I loved it. I had the waffle with a side of bacon. :) Pros: - Great food - very clean - friendlystaff - affordable Cons: - none i could find

The fish sandwich was legitimately one of the best I've ever had anywhere - not just by airport food standards. Nice beer and wine list, and great service. I'll be back!

Unfortunately at O’hare this is the best option I’ve found. The food is acceptable and cooked by chefs that seem to want to make the effort. The service, however, is unbelievably bad. It’s starts at the hostess stand where the woman doesn’t even acknowledge your presence as she’s much too busy talking to a staff member. Then the table service person basically let’s you know you need to hurry up and order, well because, their in a hurry. It’s too bad actually because I get the vibe the kitchens trying, the ‘front’ of the place needs to cooperate.

We had eaten at the downtown location and we were curious about the location at the airport . It was not the same but better than most choices for airport food. The beet salad was great and we had two sandwiches (chicken and fish) and split those. It was still so much food that we ended up taking one of the sandwiches with us to eat on the plane.

Don’t waste your money! Situate in the middle of terminal 3 in Chicago O’Hare airport - So so atmosphere and a bit of a line for seating though that went quickly enough. I had hopes of a decent non fast food lunch and to relax with a pint of beer. The service was excellent and quick but the food was gross - turkey sandwich with avocado was some weird shaved turkey salad type tabasco infused monstrosity with unidentifiable pieces mixed in. $11 Pilsner - $16 sandwich and $2 salad instead of chips plus tax plus tip (again server great) amounted to close to $40 of yuck. Don’t think my fellow patrons that impressed either judging by expressions on their faces as they ate. I could smell a guys fish sandwich 10 feet away and I normally can’t smell anything! We complain about fast food but it’s cheap and you know what you getting so I’d recommend sticking with that and avoid The Publican Tavern. Not good at all. Sorry.

Overrated over priced and terrible food. While I travel a good of time for work I have avoided the new horrible restaurants at O'Hare. My wife and I traveled out 7/26, breakfast for two-$46.00! This included two (2) cups of coffee and two identical orders of eggs, the potatoes where burnt and when I asked the server what they were supposed to be I was told potatoes as they were unrecognizable. He finally agreed that maybe they were over done and I would get another order. Oh yes that never happened. We were traveling to Ft Lauderdale and then on to Key West. We have had numerous meals overlooking the water and surprise never have we had a breakfast or lunch that was more then that horrible meal at O'Hare. Avoid like the plague, get a bagel or even go to McDonalds and save $$$$$

I have walked by this place a number of times and wondered why I had never eaten here. Now I know! Very limited and expensive menu for what you get. I got the smoked sausage sandwich. The bun was so tough that I didn’t even eat it. I had to remind the waiter that I never got the beverage I ordered.

We ate breakfast at the Publican Tavern at O'Hare. Since we had two hours before boarding, I ordered the waffles even though I was warned it might be a 30 minute wait. They arrived after about 20 minutes and were absolutely delicious --- some of the best waffles I have ever had. I also had a side of fruit and our waiter Raymond gave me a convenient plasic to-go container that I could take on the plane. Tables are rather crowded together although we squeezed in our carry-on luggage. Breakfast was delicious although much more expensive than I would normally pay for breakfast.

Great wings and fries as a snack, well located at the intersection of the gates in terminal 3. Friendly service too - a little pricey though if it’s just a quick snack you need

Been here a few times now. Food is good, drinks are good, bartenders are great. It's definitely a good place to kill the time for a couple of hours.

When you’re travelling a warm welcome and some decent food mean everything. Our waiter was brilliant talking me into the best rum and coke I’ve had in a long while , great local beer recommendations for my husband and son and then served up the tastiest burger we’ve all had in a long time . Feeling happy and well fed we headed off for a long flight home. Best airport food I’ve had in ages .

I’m not quick to give five stars, but this is a five star place - and I didn’t expect it. I had breakfast there today, the Mushroom Scramble with potatoes, multigrain toast and coffee. It was outstanding! Everything was outstsnding, including the service. I actuality exoected less at an airport restaurant, but Publican is superb! Did I say fantastic?

We almost forgot we were at the airport. Nice restaurant and able to watch the chef prepare meals. I had the Publican breakfast and son had the Eggs Benedict, both were excellent. Raymond, our server was competent, never had to ask for refills on our $4 coffee. He had a lot of tables and he appeared to serve them flawlessly. 2 coffees and 2 breakfasts $41.25 before tip. We'll go again next time visiting O'Hare.

This is my favorite place for a quick, quality meal before flying out terminal 3. I tried many of their salad and they are really well prepared balancing flavors and consistency. I truly find their chicken wings exceptionally tasty and crispy. Worth of note is also their draft beer menu that complement so well the menu!

I had about an hour before my flight and stopped in here for dinner and a beer. I sat at the long counter that faces out towards the rest of the concourse. I had a delightful fish sandwich that included some greens on top and a couple of beers. Their beer list is nice. It's a cool spot to sit and people-watch at the airport and I'm sure I'll be back next chance I get.

Fast service, good food, competitive price!. You get actual silverware and glass plates and cups. NO plastic..... 😉

Hands down, the best meal I've ever eaten in an airport, with over 25 years of frequent business travel under my belt. The salmon entree was perfect, and at $26, about what I would expect to pay for a similar dish at a non-airport restaurant. They did have the audacity to charge me $4 for a club soda. Maybe it was artisanal, sustainable club soda, but whatever; that was inexcusable.

My husband usually tells me that I go relatively easy on restaurants and will try to see the positives. Unfortunately I can't do that with this establishment. I travel internationally regularly on business and over the years the standards in airports have improved considerably. However, I have no idea what the Publican thinks it is. You can't get a straight cup of tea with breakfast - the waitress acknowledged they were fancy choices - and frankly, I have no interest in a hibiscus brew with with breakfast. The breakfast itself (bacon scramble) was over-salted, potatoes were unpleasant largely not good. The service was terrible, either they can't have enough on or the staff can't cope. Slow (unusual for an airport) and took asking three different people for the bill. One of whom, the supposed hostess (I would use the term v v loosely) clearly couldn't be bothered to help and had a face like a slapped behind. All round, a lovely start to the day!

Ate here on our way home from Chicago. It was packed and now we know why. Wonderful food and incredible service. Ask for Constantine Costa. He's very knowledgeable about the menu and suggests great beer/wine pairings! Such a delightful way to end our trip to Chicago!

I eat here often when traveling through O’Hare. The craft beer selection is phenomenal and the food is pretty good. I usually get the wings which are really good. The white dipping sauce is good and the cooking sauce is even better. The prices are even reasonable given it is at the airport.

Best place in the airport for eating and good selection of craft beers. Everything locally sourced and tasted great. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you agree on airport and have time for a drink or bite to eat.

Very good service excellent food! Try anything you cannot go wrong! Speak up if something is amiss and they will fix it! Just around the corner from finishing TSA so make sure you do not pass it up

Service was just okay, but food was great. I ordered the roasted veggie salad with chicken. It was delicious. There's also a decent wine and craft beer selection. There are plenty of usb outlets (always appreciated!) if you sit at one of the high top tables. I would dine here again if I ever find myself in ORD.

Place was busy but able to get a seat. Very excited about hot tea choices. Could have had a few cups! Breakfast was very good as well. I don't know what they put on their home potatoes, but it is addictive. Loved it. Will go again when stuck in O'Hare.

I stopped here yesterday for lunch while waiting for on our plane. My kid wanted a burger, and I wanted something lighter, and the Publican Tavern delivered for us on both counts. The burger was gorgeous, it looked like it came from a photoshoot, and my kid ate every last bite. The fries were skinny and delicious, as well. But that beet salad! Yum! So light and yet so satisfying. The farro, orange, cucumber and shaved parmesan combined with the beets and made for a wonderful combination. I am seriously going to try to recreate this at home, but am not optimistic that I can create the symphony of flavors they created here. Our service was attentive and overall, we were very happy with our choice of lunch restaurants. It's not cheap, I mean it's the airport, right? Still, well worth it.

Surprised at the quality of the food at this O’Hare airport pub. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Nice local beer selections. Worth the stop when traveling

Due to weather delays we had almost four hours between flights, and were looking for a table service restaurant for lunch. The menu was basically sandwiches and salads, which were fine, but the best part was the fire-roasted vegetables. Broccolini, cauliflower, and carrots that were roasted to perfection, and served with a very tasty dill sauce. Really good. For dessert we ordered two of their brown butter chocolate chunk cookies to go, and those were very good...we had them cold, but I think they would be even better if they were warmed up.

My salad here was excellent and so was the service. I wish I could remember the servers name. He was from Eastern Europe and I believe his name started with a C. He was especially helpful, friendly and competent. If you have some extra time at O'hare and don't mind paying the extra to sit down for quality food this is your spot. It was relatively fast service too which is often important at the airport.

The worst salad I have ever had. "Turkey" pieces were fatty and chewy. Several of the romaine pieces were the inedible base of the stalk. Have a beer, but skip the food.

Wasn’t expecting much but the breakfast sandwich is great! Always walked by and a lot busier than other places and now I know why. Just make sure your expense report can handle it, it’s pretty pricey. But worth it!

It’s O’Hare so expectations need to be modest. Service was excellent and quick. Food was good. Had the pub burger and it was small but unique and tasty.

Awesome wings with a very flavorful sauce that coats them. I was very impressed with the service, price and the wonderful taste of the wings. We will definitely try them again.

The Publican is the first restaurant (or at least the first we saw) in our direction from the TSA Precheck toward our H gate. We looked at the menu by the register and thought it looked worth trying, and what an understatement! My Lovely Wife had her once-per-year burger (medium well; cooked as she specified) that she reported delicious. I had a chicken/bacon/avocado sandwich that was terrific as well. Our server was a competent and entertaining gentleman that brought everything we asked for just as specified and made helpful suggestions too. Overall: a jackpot of a restaurant at O'Hare!

This was a great place to stop in during a long layover for some fresh vegetables and also great people watching if you still at the elevated bar facing the terminal. The electrical outlets built into the table are a big plus if you need to recharge your devices. I had a nice chat with a stranger one seat away and then also sat in silence for a while so best of both worlds.

I ate breakfast today at the Publican Tavern in O’Hare airport. This was my first time here and it was very memorable. Thanks for this memory goes to Debra!!! She was so nice as a server, was super attentive, got my food and coffee out to me in just a matter of minutes!!!! Debra is the reason my experience was so good!! The breakfast was great too but the service will be what I remember!!!!! She brought me butter and jam for my bread and my coffee cup was kept full!!!! I had eggs, sausage, and potatoes and I loved it!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting great food and super service…..just ask for Debbie….not Debbie Reynolds……. But she did resemble her!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again Debra for a super-culinary experience!!!!!!!!!

Visited here on a business trip. Service was good considering how busy it was on Saturday night. I had the pub burger and fries. Very good flavor. Pleasantly surprised for airport bar food. Would eat here if in O'hare again.

Giving 3 stars, given that it’s an airport restaurant. Out in the real world, it would be a definite 2! We ate breakfast and had bloodies before our flight to Florida. The drinks were big! The breakfast had a limited selection, but hearty portions and the food was excellent and of a decent quality. Keep in mind, you’re in an airport! Try not to be too picky at this one.

OMG, I really loved the chicken sandwich. Full of flavor and local flare. Beware of their dill pickle as it's been marinating in a very spicy brine. Had a side of arugula salad instead of the fries. Sat at the bar that overlooked the terminal which was great for people watching. I would recommend lunch here - quality food although a bit expensive.

I had a early flight today and decided to get to the airport early and have breakfast before a day of flying Why does oatmeal cost $9 and Why does it take 45 minutes

Pleasent surprise at the airport while traveling on business. The service great, food was delicious, and easy access. The avacodo salad is highly recommended.

Had a really long layover at ORD this week. I am an Admirals Club member so usually just eat in the lounge. But decided to eat in the terminal this time. Got a good seat at the counter that faces the terminal so it was a good place to people watch. Great beer selections. I had a turkey sandwich with salad and it was really good. Kind of pricey but that's to be expected in the airport.

The Publican is not your typical rip off, restaurant at the Airport! The Publican is highly recommended for their varied menu, fast service and reasonable prices especially when most airports take advantage of hungry travelers. The Publican has nice seating areas, friendly servers and hosts, generous portions and good prices. We ate well, relaxed and moved on refreshed to our next flight. So when at O'Hare we recommend the Publican. Be Advised!

I decided to look at reviews and choose a bit nicer place to eat during a 4 hour layover at O'Hare. Publican had pretty good reviews, especially for their food and so I decided to try it instead of a walk-up place I would usually eat. I chose a burger and fries. They tasted fine, but not at all better than many other places around the airport. My server was very distracted, never checked on me even though I was out of both water and ketchup. I will praise the hostess for being a lovely person, and also a buss-worker who actually went and got katchup when he tried to clear my half-full plate. I would never eat there again.

We've eaten in most restaurants in Ohare....but this was a new surprise! Great food, great, efficient service by TIFFANY, and on our way!

We kept it simple with a burger and chicken sandwich and their delicious fries. Food was freshly prepared, staff was "very" attentive and fun. It was a great stop in between flights. If you have the time make sure you visit Publican Tavern, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Okay. The food was good, but was it worth $43 plus tip? I don’t think so. But it was a great way to pass the time before my plane left.

This is a good choice if you get to the airport early and don't need to get close to your gate. I enjoyed my burger, but my daughter's chicken wings were probably a tad spicy. Good frites, which I'd say is the big attraction.

For $16, I expected a half pound, and formed burger. Instead, I got what I'm sure was a frozen patty with a slice of "cheese food" on an ordinary bun. And, it was served with a BAG of kettle chips! Fries would have been $2 extra! Iced tea was another $4. Service was good, though. (Save your money and go to McDonalds.) That said, I have heard from airport employees that the breakfasts are pretty good. Maybe next time I'll try the eggs or pancakes.

For an airport eatery, this was pretty decent. There's a very limited menu, but my chicken sandwich with marinated cucumber, bacon, avocado and blue cheese was delicious, as were the potato chips it was served with. I washed it all down with a Fat Pug oatmeal stout.

Arriving early at the airport provided time for a leisurely lunch. Service was prompt and efficient. My companion had the Robillata soup and spoke very highly of it. I had the roasted chicken, which is served on a bed of fries. It was delicious, as were the fries. However, slicing chicken with a soft layer of potatoes underneath is kind of a messy process. I suggest they should re-think the presentation. Overall, it’s a nice place to land for a while and to enjoy a good meal.

I was a little nervous as I did not have much time before my flight, but seating, ordering and paying was speedy (30 min). Chicken sandwich is very good. Good draft beer selection. Much better than the food court round the corner.

We we excited to find a restaurant with good quality food in an airport. They say they are farm to table. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and my husband had a fish sandwich, all very good. My Rioja glass of wine was incredible for the price but I was hoping for some fresh cut fries from real potatoes. They were those crispy coated fries from a bag... sad😞

We stopped here and after eating were surprised by the positive reviews we read. It's not good. The burgers were greasy and tasteless, the service was slow, and the prices dont match the quality. They are avocado crazy at this place. 1/2 the menu items contain avocados.

After a long international flight we were hungry and found our selfs in terminal 3 for our last flight home. public tavern is the first restaurant when you enter the terminal but I would suggest to keep on walking....... the staff was not very attentive and they were running around with like chicken with their head cut off. I ordered a class of wine and apparently they don’t have wine glasses bc mu wine came on a rocks glass. ( odd way to serve wine. Also they have champagne glasses but no wine glasses may seem like a odd complaint but this really stood out to me! ). Our server forgot our order and came back 2 times to ask is what we wanted. We had plenty of time before our flight but she made us feel very rushed and not really welcomed. We ordered a burger and turkey sandwich. The turkey sandwich was absolutely smothered in the dressing which took away from the whole sandwich making almost too messy to eat. When my husband took a bit of his turkey it was frozen. We were very unimpressed and ended up not finishing our food and went else wear In terminal 3 to eat. Don’t waist your time or money here.

In an airport where attentive service is a necessity, we had to reach out for service. The menu is limited. The food is edible. We plan to look elsewhere.

We had such a great experience coming through O'Hare on our flight out for Thanksgiving that we sought them out on the way back for a second visit! Two things specifically brought us back: Plamen, an outstanding server who stood out because he clearly genuinely cared about us having a perfect experience there. He should be a in a 5 star restaurant (One Off, I'd contemplate moving him there). He was personable and honest in helping us choose our food.....which brings me to the second reason: the wings! My husband loves a variety of wings and typically prefers traditional prep but these, he felt were the best he'd ever had. We appreciated the cocktails (thank you, Violet Hour). We enjoyed the burger and fish sandwiches. The fries were the only thing that didn't impress us. We usually go to Frontera so it was impressive to draw us back a second time. Plamen, if we don't see you back at Publican, we'll search you out in a high end place elsewhere in Chicago!

Had a very nice chicken sandwich for dinner. Not something they pulled out of the freezer, as it actually had flavor and tasted fresh. $13 is not bad for an airport bar Decent selection of beers - but at $9 it aint cheap Bar tender was pleasant but didnt say much.

Publican Tavern is At Gate K1 in Chicago O’ Hare airport. It serves (semi fast) food and drink and is it’s very sizeable. Can be busy. Not bad.

Stopped here while in a hurry for a flight. The service was timely and the food was good. Of course everything is terribly overpriced in an airport. But it comes with the territory. I would go back

We ate at the Publican at O'hare while waiting for our flight and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and the service. You can either scan the bar code and order on your phone or get a physical menu. We love ordering on our phones as our Dr told us that restaurant menus are one of the germiest items in the world. We started with drinks, an old- fashioned for my husband and a red wine for me. My husband's old-fashioned with Four Roses bourbon was good and had a slice of orange and a cherry. My husband ordered the wood- fired vegetables, which included carrots and broccoli with a sauce (that included a little spice) and pecans. The veggies were cooked perfectly al dente. I ordered the fish plate, which was a baked haddock with large white beans. The haddock was delicious and the beans were very good. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient! Our only suggestion is that the online menu include a better explanation of each item. We would definitely eat here again and would recommend it to others. It's a pleasant dining experience at O'Hare.

Food was good and we also got some decent wine. As an experienced traveller it is not that often that airport restaurants are good. This one was a pleasant suprise for sure.

I dined during a very busy time. My server was Magdalen and she treated me like her very most important customer. And the food was good too!

On a recommendation from a colleague, I gave the Publican Tavern in O'Hare a try. I had about an hour before my flight, which I expected to be plenty of time. The hostess seated me at a community table and gave me a menu. About 15 minutes later, a member of the wait staff brought me a water but told me she could not take my order. When I finally did have someone stop by for my order, I tried to make it easy: A salad. I did not even order a beverage because I had a feeling I would be running tight on time. The salad arrived 40 minutes later and I barely had time to wolf it down. Luckily I asked for my bill right when she brought me the salad or I would probably still be there to this day... In short, I can't imagine being in a position where I need to visit Publican Tavern again. The food was barely passable. Service was non-existent. I am sure glad other people are having good experiences there (based upon the reviews I keep seeing), but I was not the only person at the community table who was underwhelmed and won't make a repeat visit!

Very busy still promptly seated. Service was prompt & attentive. Food was especially good for airport food. Anything from their grill is a hit. We had the grilled vegetables (awesome) & a burger (very good). The avocado salad was a solid B. Small but interesting wine list, good variety of craft beers. If you have time to eat here while changing planes at O’Hare, do so.

On our way out of town, wanted dinner but not airport food. Did not expect to see Publican there!. Ordered dinner and it was just great: pork rillette w/ apricot, wings, avocado salad. Very enjoyable meal.

Two of us had the turkey salad. Some of the turkey cubes were pink which is very off-putting. Although they were probably safe to eat, is it worth the chance ... especially before getting on a plane?! My coworker couldn’t get past it so didn’t eat the salad. Also there was a missing comma in the description, so I thought I was getting a pecan honey salad dressing. Rather it was a honey salad dressing ... with pecan halves on the salad. A pleasant mistake in my opinion, but just to clear that up!

My son and I headed to Chicago O'Hare after a very busy day at college orientation. We were both hungry and agreed that we would just get to the airport early and eat there, thinking that it wouldn't be great. As we came into the airport after security, we passed Publican Tavern, which looked kind of nice. We passed it up and headed to Chili's, which was a more familiar name. After waiting for several minutes with no one even looking at us to seat us, we decided to go back to Publican Tavern. We were so glad we did! We were seated right away, despite the restaurant being busy, the menu looked great, and we had service quickly. My son ordered the chicken sandwich and I ordered the fish sandwich. I had salad on the side for $2 extra and he had the fries. Everything was delicious, we had plenty of food, and we were very happy. We paid our bill and got to our gate in plenty of time. We will definitely go back there next time we are at O'Hare! Highly recommend it.

I really like this restaurant at Chicago International Airport. The pricing is reasonable and the food is excellent.

Stopped by pelican Tavern on a layover, ordered the avocado salad and was very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. I was even more surprised by the service. Our server Amire was amazing and had fantastic tableside service, he will be the main reason I return back to this restaurant on my next layover here in Chicago.

If you have time in O’Hare, the Publican Tavern is a nice alternative to the fast food chains that seem to dominate this airport. The Roasted Beet Sandwich is very good. And the pickles are spicy and outstanding (if you get one that’s crunchy); 2 of the 4 at our table were soggy and gross. This spot replaced the Wolfgang Pucks that was here, and for the better.

Good price, the quality is not good. Excellent customer service, good environment. Nice and lease. greasy food

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of food for the price at an airport restaurant. My fish sandwich accompanied by homemade chips and a generous pickle was under $20; I paid about $14 yesterday for a lesser 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup at McAllister’s deli with pickle. A high-quality menu for beer and wine also. The wait staff were very friendly. The front counter has USB ports for charging.

This airport restaurant has an awesome turkey sandwich and a great seating area for people watching. Only negative is that their bloody Mary’s aren’t that great. Stick with beer or a simple cocktail.

Publican would just be OK if not in an airport. At O'Hare Field in Chicago, this restaurant remains an oasis in a sea of aircraft and human movement. I can't believe the number of mediocre / poor reviews. People are expecting way too much for decent airport dining. I seek this restaurant out every time I transit ORD and have an extra half hour or more. The service is always friendly and inviting. On this early weekday morning visit, we enjoyed friendly and calm service from the hostess, the waiter, and the supporting crew. Our breakfasts were served promptly and were delicious. Publican Tavern remains highly recommended for food and beverage while in the midst of a long and tiring travel day.

Breakfast sandwich was awesome (eggs scrambled with smoked sausage on a brioche type roll with pimiento cheese). I ate it open face with a fork as it was messy and a lot of bread. Potatos were tasty. Coffee was very good. Everything was nicely hot. Our server, Victoria, was attentive and very kind and friendly, as well as quick. Overall it was a very good experience. Probably the best airport breakfast I've ever had. Only downside was the price- full breakfast for two was 50 including tax and tip. Ouch!! But we still left with a smile and it was worth it.

There were several very nice vegetarian salad options and the one I chose was delicious and filling. My meat eater husband was also quite pleased with his deli quality sandwich. We enjoyed the craft beer and cider. Service was good and pleasant. An unexpected pleasure at O’Hare terminal 3

I had breakfast at Publican, service was quick and efficient. I had the Publican Eggs Benedict that was served with a red wine Hollandaise sauce, arugla salad and prosciutto. This is a cut above in terms of taste and quality.

I tried to order the half roasted chicken but they told me it would take at least 15 minutes to cook. Instead I ordered a hamburger and a side salad and I had it within minutes. Served on real plates with real silverware and a glass for beverages. Near concourse H and K.

Too early to the airport and decided for a sit down at Publican. The parent restaurant of this restaurant is well known and very well respected. This is much more utilitarian but quick and tasty. We settled on the Publican Scramble and the Breakfast sandwich. Too much food to eat it all. It was served quickly, hot and good. It is probably one of the best in Terminal 3. Breakfast for 2 with one coffee and tip $46

We had a wonderful breakfast at Publican Tavern. We ended up walking 15 minutes across the Airport to try this restaurant (we had the time and were looking for a good meal, mimosas and bloody Mary's). Excellent, high quality food and service - we were so impressed. We both had eggs Benedict served with a delicious red wine sauce and side of arugula salad. The breakfast potatoes were also delightful, and the cocktails were excellent! Our waitress Lida was personable, fast, attentive and very nice! I will look forward to connecting through Chicago in the future so I can eat here :)

Had three hours between flights. I was happy to have a comfortable and tasty dinner. Was told that The Publican was a good choice. Waiter was good and professional. However- I have to say my cocktail on the rocks had to be the tightest pour I have seen in ages. I sent my dinner back twice as the fries were old and cold as was my sausage. Yuck. The fries finally turned out good and hot and the sausage warm and ok. Changed to a beer to accompany my dinner. Sorry- waste of appetite- time and $. Several diners around me also seemed totally unimpressed as well.

Our breakfast here was delicious. I had a mushroom scramble; my husband had a spinach scramble. Both were accompanied by DELICIOUS fried potatoes and good, strong coffee. My scramble was topped with fresh tarragon and parsley; my husband's, by fresh chopped chives. Service was friendly and fast.

I had a 4 hour layover in ORD airport. I was tempted to leave to find good food but came upon this place and decided I was to lazy to lug my bags around. Victoria was a great waitress super friendly and helpful. Just reading the menu you can tell the place was above your average pita joint that you’ll usually find in an airport. I got the pork shoulder with grilled brocolini with an almond and poached apricot sauce. Definitely a great choice! Man did the food surprise me. Great flavours tender meat not over cooked and best of all a veggie that wasn’t cold romaine lettuce. Ate every bit up was sooo delicious!

Worth the Walk - best eats in AA terminal. Get a seat at the edge counter and watch the world walk buy as you eat. Brocc/motz salad is recommended dry rub wings are also nice

Lunch selection is so disappointing. I should have gone elsewhere for a much better burger than the thin, over cooked piece of meat I got. Oh and a bag of kettle chips for $19 with tip. I could have bought for myself and two families at McDonald’s and enjoyed it more. At least it would have included fries. I have eaten here before, but it was breakfast and it was delicious. This appeared as no effort was put forth for diners to have a good lunch. A tavern should serve good tavern food. This is more farm to table and I’ll pass next time. Just a mediocre experience and I think those sitting around me felt the same.

This is the place to go! The Menu is good and the chicken sandwich especially yummy. Nice cocktail and lots of beers on tap. Worth the time.

When traveling thru terminal 3 at O’Hare our tradition is usually to eat at Chili’s which isn’t bad. We strangely enough stopped here because of the strip of phone chargers at the bar. While charging our phones and waiting for our flight, we had a very good omelette with potatoes with great service at the bar counter area. We have found a new O’Hare spot.

Very Good, please stop here to eat any time. Local chefs, local suppliers. Have eaten here in several travel pasa thrus. Dinner, Lunch & Dinner really good. Great service.

I've been impressed how ORD has really stepped it up regarding good local restaurant options that now allow you to have an excellent meal while waiting for a flight. Frontera is great and now they have added a Summer House offshoot and most excitingly a Publican tavern. -The restaurant is in a terminal, but it brings in some of the aesthetic details of the West Loop institution--including large round light fixtures, wood paneling, wrought-iron signage, and gingham-clad servers. -Host was friendly and efficient and was happy to take a photo of us at dinner. -Server was very nice and energetic--and also quick--which is noticed and appreciated at an airport! -Food was served on the same mismatched chinaware which is homey and charming. -Avocado salad was delicious with generous amounts of avocado and fresh greens--and they split it for us without us even having to ask. -Tavern burger was good--not as good as at the Fulton Market location--but great for an airport! I do wish the fries were thicker! -I was thrilled to see a "Hot Doug's" sausage on the menu--another Chicago institution--and it was very tasty, if a bit heavy with big bun and lots of cheese. -Extensive and interesting selection of beers and nice wine options--with healthy pours! -We put our server through the ringer--asking her to bring multiple side sauces--and she handled it great--always with a smile on her face! I'm so excited to have this new addition to ORD! It will definitely make delays more pleasant!

Ate breakfast here before catching a 10:00 am flight, and the service was spectacular! If you're looking for a meal recommendation, try the salmon breakfast. Your taste buds will be delighted!!

I entered the tavern 05:15 on Sunday morning and was offered a breakfast with a taste... It was very juicy and greasy, the way an airport breakfast should be. The service was immediate and classy. These guys deserve your tip! Recommended if you're hungry.

I have always enjoyed my trips through O'Hare because I could grab a delicious bite at Frontera. Now, I have another great option at O'Hare... the Publican Tavern. Most airport food leaves something to be desired in the way of presentation and rush/service, but Publican's food quality makes up for this. The burgers, salads, fries and most importantly drinks were as good as it gets at an airport. Is this as good as the location in Chicago... no! But I wouldn't expect an airport restaurant to be able to compete with a actual restaurant... but it comes close. Try it when you are in terminal 3... and if you aren't flying out of that terminal, but have some time to spare... take the walk over. It's worth it.

I was flying to France and not looking forward to another airline dinner so I was thrilled to find this quality restaurant in terminal 3 on concourse K which is where my flight was leaving from. I was seated promptly and in and out in a half an hour. The food was very good and a good value. I tried to eat there again when I returned from France but unfortunately, didn't have the time. Highly recommended.

I'm surprised that I'm writing about a restaurant at an airport. But, I was quite pleasantly surprised by the breakfast that I had at the O'Hare location of Publican Tavern. I had the Mushroom Scramble - it was moist, fluffy and delicious. The breakfast potatoes were great as well. Good service and pretty outstanding food. Pleasantly Surprised!

My friend and I had a burger here whilst waiting for our flight back to the UK. The drinks were good and the burger was very good for airport type food. I only gave it 4 stars as the menu choice is quite limited and the prices quite expensive. However the food was good.
Great with food intolerances
Had a great breakfast here and they were able to help my two kids with food intolerances find safe choices. They were extremely careful that cross contamination didn’t occur. Food was good, but service was a little slow.
