The setting of this bar is stunning. The public areas of the Marriott Marquis are worth a visit just to see. Unfortunately the Pulse bar was a huge let down. We ordered a top shelf margarita made with some reposado tequila the waitress hadn't a clue what I was talking about so i finally just asked for a "dark" tequila. The drink arrived and it was completely clear, one sip revealed why; the "margarita" was nothing more than sprite or ginger ale with tequila added. We sent this disgusting drink back and recieved another, it was actually a margarita, a bitter, nasty, $14.00 margarita but at least a margarita. What a lousy bar. Poor service, bad drinks, and high prices.

Worth it for the view. Service was a little slow. Overall worthwhile for the view in the atrium alone!

Great sport bar! Large screen tv in a modern ambience. Fun young crowd. The drink and appetizer is good

Visited this bar while staying at the Marriott Marquis. Great time! Excellent service. The atmosphere is friendly, met several new people passing through while sitting and enjoying conversation with some friends. Everyone enjoyed meeting and winding down there each evening we were in Atlanta.

Hung out here while staying at the Marriott. Bartenders were fun and attentive. The quesadillas we ordered were prepared well, with a little kick. Relaxing vibe.

The bar is convenient as it is right near the elevators in the Marriott hotel. But, as with most hotel bars, you pay for it with beers or whatever that are about 20% higher than a restaurant would charge. Great seating though, plenty of room and very easy to get back to your room.

I only drank here once, during the wait for a group activity. I had a rum & coke. I think they waved the coke wand over the rum a little, but not much. It was VERY strong.

It is part of the hotel. Decent prices and friendly atmosphere. It is right outside of the lobby and could use some updates.

I think there are plenty of other options. But if you need something convenient to your hotel stay, this will be fine.

Very busy bar but the staff does a good job managing multiple requests from cocktails to food. ET was awesome and makes the perfect raspberry lemon drop.

Prices weren't to bad. I did enjoy a couple of local beers (Sweetwater's) While watching the Pacers play the Heat in some comfortable chairs. Good atmosphere but a little loud.

Though we didn't have a drink at the bar, this architectural feat is so beautiful centrally placed in the middle of Atlanta Marriott marquis. Early in the morning and late at night, our eyes feast on this magnificent view. It gives a person an extraordinarily good feeling, a lightness akin to a child's feeling being in Disneyland for the first time. I shall treasure the memories I have of Atlanta. Too old to go back.

Open Air bar at the Marriott Marquis hotel, better service at bar than in the open space but folks are pretty nice.

This place is a hotel bar but its good one. We feel relaxed with our colleagues and everything went great. I like it.

Same kitchen as Sear. Leaner menu. Excellent food. In lobby area. Noisy. Service a little less attentive, but the place was BUSY!

My boyfriend and I had drinks at pulse while staying at the Marriott. It's a great place to relax and enjoy sitting out in the hotel. Very busy place also and sometimes hard to find seats. Was a first come first serve basis for seating which we didn't know until we asked a server.

Service with a smile, great selection of drinks, lovely atmosphere and plenty of seating. Worth a visit.

We stopped in for a drink. All though busy, we were waiting on quickly and didn't feel rushed. Enjoyed our time at the bar area.

Love coming and having a drink and bite at pulse the staff are so friendly and quick. They always make you feel like home.

The service here was terrible, but it is a conveniently located bar in the hotel with anything you could ever want to drink. You have a nice view of the central elevator banks and can see all the way to the top. You will need to budget about 30 minutes to wait to order your drink, though.

Omg. The food and drinks at Pulse are everything. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff is so kind and accommodating and helpful too.

We waited about 15 minutes after we sat at the bar on a recent Tuesday evening at 9pm to even be acknowledged by the bartender. After receiving menus we noticed that the wines by the glass were very pricey for pedestrian label wines: $12-17 per glass. Finally Brent came to take our order. He asked if it was a room charge. When I replied yes, he encouraged me to call out my room number and last name across the bar. Instead, I took a napkin a wrote the info for him. Very unprofessional practice. There are plenty of other bar options in the area and next time we will try Max Lager a block away.

Stopped in with customers for a pre dinner drink. Service was great and they had a good selection of drinks. The view of this hotel is great from this location. Service was top notch and attentive even though it was busy.

In the 30+ story atrium, this bar area makes for a great place to gather with colleagues or those you just met at a conference in the lower level conference center. Drink prices are at normal hotel rates and there is only one bar but it encircles the "Pulse" spire so there are many places to move in to get a drink.

great place to go and hang out, quite and in the middle of everything. This is really just a floating lobby in the middle of the hotel.

I really missed the southern style service here, the people were kind of rude and arrogant... Cocktails were much better at the Hyatt than here...Margaritas were prepared with syrups not liek the original one.. not impress at all

The bartenders here are excellent. They are incredibly nice and remember your drink. They are fast and all around friendly to everyone who comes in.

I stayed at the Marriot for a week and Pulse had great drinks and service. The only reason I did not give it more stars is because it was closed on nights that they advertise as being open.

Pulse is a convenient place to meet people when a large group is staying at the Marriott Marquis. I had drinks there several times because of its convenience. It is a bit loud for quiet conversation.

A place to sit, drink and relax at Marriott Marquis, Atlanta US. Wide lobby with a great view of yacht shape Pulse bar to enjoy cocktails and interior of Marriott. You can bring food from outside and enjoy the beauty of Pulse bar.

They keep the same crew every year.. Amazing in the bar scene!!! Always on there a game, and can make anything you want... Good group!!

If anyone has been to DragonCon and hasn't drank there, sat down there, or at least used it as a navigational waypoint with it its distinctive blue "sail", they are probably lying to you or were drunker than they thought. Prices aren't a bargain, I have never been there when it wasn't slammed, but it's an institution. It fuels the party that is the Marriott atrium on Friday and Saturday nights at con.

Pulse is a great open air bar environment nicely laid out, friendly staff, the drinks are on point there's no lack of alcohol in those glasses.

We went down for drinks and dessert. The waitress that was there was very good. She wasn't writing anything down so my husband and I was wrorried that she wouldn't remember but she had everything correct. She was very pleasant and the drinks and dessert was good.

server was very good at keeping orders straight, and keeping an eye out for empty glasses. Nice area to sit and watch the hustle in the lobby area.

A nice hotel bar with an unparalleled view (of the interior). Hotel bar, hotel prices. Staff was as you would expect.

This bar is quite fun when you are with a large group of people and you just want to drink and hang out. Good drinks, good staff.

All of the restaurants in this hotel are connected, but the Pulse has a youthful feel with a great menu selelction. the steak is marvelous and huge

Relaxing environment with high end spirits as well as domestic drafts. After a long day of seminars, this place is just what you're looking for when you don't want to leave the hotel.

When we couldn't get a decent meal or decent service at High Velocity, we went to Pulse and got served well.

Level of service to an exceptional level, especially during an event like DragonCon. The lines were long, but the staff patience never waivered and the margueritas were awesome.

We came here for a night cap on every evening - when it was open. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed the vibe. The problem is that it was not always open and there was no warnings for when it would be closed

A hotel bar but not a really good one. Just average. But i guess it serves you quite allright if you dont walk out of the hotel to find anything better.

Great bar to stop in for a great drink after a day out on the town. Located in the Marriott Marquis Atlanta, it's a great place to close out a day before going to your room.

High prices and slow service in a worn and less than clean lobby. The decor was very dated and the chairs were uncomfortable.

I swear that the margarita was just ginger ale or sprite with tequila added, it was even clear! The waitress was a bit snippy when we sent it back. She brought another that was at least a margarita, a really nasty, bitter $14.00 margarita. NOT going back.

Polite, but funny and very customer service oriented bartender. Looked like a more handsome Ice T. Took care of us between rounds, and discouraged a pushy male patron.

Was here for a post dinner gathering of co-workers. Plain and simple, this place gouges you for their drinks.

Pulse is a restaurant/bar. The bartenders, Kaffi and Maylita were excellent, as was the food. We had a huge salad, (can't remember what it was called but it was delicious.

At the hotel for a conference. Came here every night. Service was always good, place is nice and relaxing and games on the TV. They make good strong drinks.

IT was a nice place just to chill as we waited on the next conference class. The best part is not having to go anywhere since I was already at the hotel.

We went for the breakfast buffet as we were being comped due to some poor room experiences. For $25 per person for the buffet, the price is a bit much, but since it was free we checked it out. The Sundy we went, it was really busy. Our server, took my wife's drink order, ignored me completely. Then once, I managed to get my order in, she brought only my drinks and failed to even bring my wife's water. So my wife went drink less for the first 10minutes of what would be a $50 breakfast. Fortunately we didn't have to rely on the waitress for much else. The Buffet seemed to be well stocked, food fresh, and the omelet guy was very friendly and prompt. Would go back again, but only if price was lower or if breakfast was included with my room rate.

Certainly the Pulse was convenient since I was a guest in the hotel. The service was very good. The price of the meal was high for what I received (a salad).

Nice place to be at.... night time is best to go... fairly priced drinks. Bring your date here and it will make her/him impressed with the infrastructure of the whole hotel. Loved the staff too!

The place was very big, conveniently located, nice draft brews and appetizer options and portion sizes on the meals, and I loved the pool table / private area.

Excellent, friendly staff. Great atmosphere. A little pricey, but it is a lobby bar. Great low comfortable seating.

Best bartenders, service and drinks Would recommend starting and finishing your night here. Got to give a shout out to our fave Kahfi

This bar is right in the middle of the Marriott Marquis lobby. It is stunning. The drinks are great!

this is in the center of the hotel. you can look straight up to all the room floors. the location is perfect if all you want is a drink and maybe a little something to munch on. comfy seats, great architecture of the hotel to look at. the drinks were good. but service is slow. we waited about 15-20 minutes before someone came over. don't know if we would have had better luck if we went straight to the bar. it was busy. once we placed our order, it took a good half hour to get the drinks. the server apologized to us and said she was waiting on the bartenders. I know it was busy, but still. 45 minutes there before we got our dinks. as soon as they came, we went ahead and ordered another round so we wouldn't have to wait for them.

This was a nice place to eat. The views of the atrium were better than the food but overall a nice relaxing experience.

I was in the hotel during Market Week and this lobby bar was hopping. They had 2 servers in the entire huge place. Our server was amazing but seriously folks - expect to be there for a couple hours if you order drinks and food. I actually ended up twice due to my late nights and all the other restaurant being full, but they need to add a few servers. They would make a lot more money, they wouldn't kill the few employees and the everybody would be a heck of a lot happier. No issue with the quality of the food and drink or even the prices, but let's have service please. It was over 1/2 hour each time before we were even able to order and each time we had to wave down the server to get another further including the check. Just feel it's very poorly run.

Great spot for drinks with friends, and for enjoying the view of the atrium. The service is usually pretty fast.

The bar is in the middle of the Marriott lobby next to another bar and restaurant, so there was lots of activity and a fun atmosphere. The drinks were very expensive, even for a hotel bar.

Good drinks in a fun setting. Lots of places there to mingle also. Plus, nearby are some tables to just relax at. The bar doesn't open until after 4pm but it was fun to just be there. The setting is well designed and works so well in the open atrium of the Marriott. I enjoyed myself. Good food and good service.

Drank some Macallan 12 and enjoyed the passing parade. Excellent service, super nice staff - highly recommended!

With a 3D art piece shaped like a huge, internally-lit sail (and a 70" TV in the bottom of it), TV monitors at every seating or table, and friendly bartenders, what's not to love? Set in a 45-story atrium, it's too hip to ignore, yet friendly enough for a family.

As expected, restaurant in Marriott fulfilled my expectations. Food and service were excellent. Recommended.

Nice sports bar to hang out, friendly people, but it can get real crowded, noisy and no where to enjoy your meal. its located inside of the hotel which is nice so you can spend the night there if you dont feel like driving home. when you want something quick to eat and watch sports, this is the place.

A very good spot to have a drink or two in the impressive hotel complex and watch the lifts go up and down.

I travel a lot and always look for interesting hangouts. Who would have thought that I would find one at a convention hotel? Good service, good cocktails, some very unique. Not sure I would go to this location if I was not staying at the hotel, but if you are staying at the hotel, a nice place to have a drink, or to stop before you go out, on our you return

The original bartender was too busy trying to flirt with his coworkers to serve and be attentive to us. However there was another bartender that was great and was really friendly, I guess he was trying to make up for his lazy co worker. The prices are overpriced and the seats are uncomfortable at the bar. Need more colored lights to give it a club vibe.

had a blasts with friend there, the place is amazign and well locate under the big hotel, also the couples restaurant just at side, all that is on the the same level while people walk across going to different places and hotels areas. Love it!

Enjoyed the idea of refreshment in the middle. The staff could barely do their job. But the did their best.

Best part is that this place is a part of Marriott Marquis hotel and I stay @ this hotel every time I visit Atl. Definitely recommend.

Pulse is a very inviting place. It looks like so much more than the usual lobby bar. The only problem is you have to hit somebody over the head for any service.

Super nice staff. Quick to serve us. Drinks somewhat overpriced. But the open space was a great place to meet up with our group and have a drink before dinner.

Nice servers, but at times overworked! VERY expensive drinks. Very proud of their wine,where most glasses are $12-$17. Guess they realize many are on expense accounts. I would not come here except on business.

Super slow service, one server and one bartender for the evening with a full house. Drinks were adequate, wine selection is limited. Tables were dirty....plus is the atmosphere.

I think our server was having a bad day. She was not very pleasant. Food is a little pricey but my nachos were good.

Good food at a reasonable price. Had their ribeye steak which was delicious. The brussel sprout and sweet potato appetizer was really good.

The Pulse is a very happening place during Dragoncon. I enjoy being there because there is plenty of space, and it's also really pleasing to the eye.

The music lights and atmosphere give a very modern vibe to Pulse. Great place to unwind after whatever, it is a night life destination downtown. Hip casual fun.

It was a nice place, but I was more in to my colleagues. They only had one server, which is unacceptable, considering the large nightly crowd. Get the woman some help!!

Service was brisk and very non personal like I was more of a number and revenue than a person looking for a drink. Ordered a couple of drinks then got punched in the wallet by the bill when I paid my tab.

The nachos and the cosmos were the best I've ever had. The bartenders were super great - the wait staff in the bar area was lacking but the nachos were excellent.
