Fun place to watch the games

By kdz1 |

So happy this went in at Pioneer Square. This is a fun, relaxing place to watch football. They have multiple channels on. Food is good and bar is fun. Nice place just to relax.

Place for fun time

By Bethanie C |

Love this place! So unique. They have lots of activities and 4 bars to choose from. Bowling, arcade games, ping pong, shuffle board and trivia on some nights. Des was one of our bartenders and she was awesome and lots of fun! We greatly enjoyed her service. They have great margaritas too! Such a fun place

Great for events - maybe not so much to just stop by

By physicsmom04 |

Punchbowl is a great event space for companies and parties - you can block sections to get video games, karaoke, bowling, darts, etc along with dedicated seating and bar. This is awesome for those events, but I imagine if you just show up for dinner and fun, you'll be turned off by the large groups taking over all the fun stuff. Food is good, with a pretty wide variety. Good variety of vegetarian and gluten-free. Drink menu is extensive, both custom versions and standard bar options. Pricing is high, as you'd expect from something downtown. If you want to come without setting up an event, I'd recommend calling ahead to make sure you can get to the activities!

Birthday celebration

By PortlandFoodiegirl |

We all have a great time here. We reserved bowling lanes (with our own server) and played video games mostly. Staff could have been better. When I needed something, the staff were all standing around talking to each other at the bar. Management should take a look at this. But when she was actually helping us, she was spot on. Food was just ok, wings were good! Expect to spend over $500 for a party of 9.

Vacation

By Mariana A |

No kids after 10:00 pm but we managed to order, get our food and eat just in time. We ordered the 8 appetizer tacos. They were really, really good, delicious meat, but be carefull, the sauce was hot. Order with sauce in the side if you aren't use to spicy food. Our kids ordered vanilla milk shakes and they loved them. I ordered the fresh juice, very good that as well. Very nice service as well. We are definitely coming back!

Work Party

By Areff |

It was great, the restaurant provided us with some really yummy wings and tacos. We were able to play some bowling and shuffle board. really a great environment to have fun and hang out with friends.

Finn, the only fish in the Punchbowl for me!

By Kristin T |

Finn was the best! As soon as we sat down, Finn was very attentive and knowledgeable. They made a point to go over the beers on tap as well as the menu options. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Before leaving Finn filled us in on their happy hour times and invited us back again. If our team does lunch again, we will pick PunchBowl, because of Finn! Thank you for your outstanding service!

Pretentious an not worth the hassle

By Shawn S |

Stopped by without a reservation and strangely put on a waitlist by a snotty hostess without anyone else in line or waiting. Took down my cell number for notification, we decided to sit and wait next to the hostess booth. After the expected 20 minute wait time expired, I inquired how much longer and was told they tried to call me twice and put me back on the list. Ridiculous! I reminded them that I was sitting right there and had my cell phone in hand with a clear signal. Wow, they just happened to find a table after all. Don't waist your time or money. They clearly invested in an atmosphere without considering training for basic customer service skills.

Birthday Bowling

By James P |

If you haven’t ever been to Punch bowl social, it’s a mess. Went with my wife at lunch today. Had a super enjoyable experience bowling, good food and great beer. The bowling pins are very unique, they are on strings and are pulled up into a cavity and then sat back down in the order that was left after ones first roll/attack on the pins. The time between appetizers and entrées was rather long. We aren’t sure if it was due to our server or if it just takes that long for them to bring the food out but that’s about the only drawback we had. It wasn’t very busy so that would’ve been the reason. Everyone from the hostess to the servers were very kind. We wouldn’t recommend the shrimp burger, it was just very salty and very hot as in spicy. Not a ton of flavor. The French dip was excellent. Super yummy. Overall we would give it a 9 out of 10.

Lots of fun and lots to do here, games, food, drink, bowling, bar ...

By KweqSmanit |

So where to start on this place ? It has a colorful and well decorated and comfortable dining room area with padded booths and as well multiple bar seats along the well laid out bar area, lots of televisions in which to see the game play, a somewhat modern yet not uninviting look, it has multiple bowling lanes spread around the floor, a shuffleboard area, some 80s video games, (I remember specifically seeing Frogger, Galaga and there were a few others) a pool table area, ummm, darts, multiple karaoke seating areas which can be made private for just you and your guests, foosball area, you can take your drinks around everywhere but NOT outside the front door as they do not have that area covered under the liquor license.Staff was friendly and helpful when I was there. This place is lots of fun for all ages.

Private wvent

By Rachel J |

I was here for a private event for a conference. We had the entire place to ourselves. The staff was great. The food and drinks were decent. The games everywhere were great. Although we struggled with setting up the machines we had a great time bowling. It was also nice to have some outdoor seating.

Fun!

By Jechavez00 |

Recently had a work retreat at the Punch Bowl and was pleasantly surprised. The activity was catered and the food was much more than I expected. The cheese board was great, but the sweet potato sand which was heaven. The drinks were fine and the service was pretty good, especially considering the size of our group. The bowling definitely made the night a success, it's s great concept and I may be back. Definitely a first time must do, but not sure if be a regular patron. It was VERY loud, but equally fun.

Fun place

By CammyBaby |

I have played darts at PBS a couple of times. It has a cool vibe and good dart boards. The service isn't really that great but they also have a huge space to cover. It's a great place for adults to play without kids around at night! They have yummy drinks- very different options. Their late night food is good too. They have a nice Happy Hour menu.

Family Reunion Icebreaker

By Joel R |

Family members as far away as North Carolina, Illinois, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Washington and Hawaii gathered with Portland families for 2024 reunion. Punch Bowl Social is the perfect spot for our Icebreakers. Excellent cocktails, great food, outstanding service. Highly recommended.

Bar is okay, skip the restaurant.

By Katie T |

Our group of 8 started in the restaurant for dinner. The service was not great...drink orders weren't put in, food items forgotten and really slow. Half of us thought our food was fine, the other half were really disappointed. After dinner we moved over to the bar. We had much better service in the bar, and enjoyed all the different activities like shuffle board, corn hole, Jenga and darts. We tried bowling, but the lane kept malfunctioning. As a group, we all agreed that we might come back to the bar again, but definitely not the restaurant.

Very good!

By SleepV6Cr |

This place is great. Top floor in the mall. Good is well down and drink creations are fun, stiff and done just right! Staff is on top of it and very friendly. The only thing.. We came in right after it opened at 11:00am and the bathrooms were not clean. Clean those bathrooms before you open...

Turned off the music half an hour before close - bad hospitality and worse vibes

By Casey R |

We went for the first time on a Wednesday, when the bar closes at 10p. A server came around for last call at 9:25, and we both got another beverage to enjoy while we finished a darts game. No more than 90 seconds after we got our drinks management turned off the music and started raising the lights. AT 9:30PM. When I asked our server about it they brushed me off and said “that’s not my call.” Drinks were decent, lots of games, but ending a date so abruptly with such aggressive attempts to kick us out before close killed the vibe. I’ve worked in hospitality for nearly ten years and this is not it. Better off finding another gaming bar in Portland, where there are plenty.

Lacking in service, but good food and atmosphere!

By Sunshinebabies3 |

We went there last night. Our waitress didn't even know what the specials were....then had to keep going on the other side to get beer because they don't carry it on one side of the restaurant??? The bartender on the restaurant side looked angry and pissed off, didn't crack a smile the entire time while I waited patiently for a drink. I then asked for water and he said he could give me one glass. Bowling was fun and so were all the other games and the food was great ..........it's a great place for friends if you don't mind the lack in service! The guys (bartenders) in the bar area were great and friendly, the restaurant side was lacking big time!

Good for parties

By Stammre |

Went here for our sons birthday and found this to be good place to go with friends to party and drink. The food was very good. I had the Mac and cheese and enjoyed if very much. Most of the others had a hamburger and they all said that there's were very good. We did bowling and ping pong afterward and all had a good time and they beer and drinks were reasonable. I don't think I would go here for a quite dinner and drinks as this is a very noisy place but will go again when we have a large party

Restaurant with good Ambience

By Bhima Subrahmanyam |

Nicely located in big Mall. Though little expensive, offers variety of food. Kids have better choice. Staff are service oriented. Patience enough to take order and serve. Very good ambience. Children enjoy playing games before and after lunch.Well maintained Restrooms.Fast and good service.

yuck, don't bother

By georgiapeach08 |

Located in the mall it is convenient to shopping and hotels, but the food was not worth the price. They said they ran out of chicken the night we were there and could offer us pork. Flavors were not well, bowling was offered for additional fee, we played ping pong and had a good time but it wasn't worth the effort or money. Don't bother, the food court may be better.

Perfect before the show!

By Christine M |

We stopped in before heading to the movies next door. We just sat at the bar and ordered salads not thinking much. However, they blew our socks off! Korean BBQ salad and Chicken and Kale salad make this amateur foodie want to head back to the mall in a city of many options!

Poor service

By ev06 |

A group of us came down to try out this new bar and do some bowling. We sat at table for 20+ minutes before we received any service. Someone from our party had to get up and ask the waitress to come over and take our order. Overall the staff was not very friendly. The bowling alleys were not up to par - the lanes were short and the pins were on wires! The bathrooms were not kept very clean either.

Bowling alleys, pingpong, bars, shuffle board, and yes, food

By Eugene F |

Taking up the entire third floor of the east building at the Pioneer Mall in downtown Portland, this seems like it would be a great place for office parties! It's the floor below the theaters, so my wife and I stopped in for a late lunch before an afternoon showing. My wife had breakfast, biscuits and gravy with eggs, and I had the mac and cheese. The service was okay, the food was okay, the prices were a little high at $10 for the biscuits & gravy, and $14 for an unspectacular mac & cheese. Service was inconsistent...we had to find someone to seat us, and the server didn't seem very excited about his job. I think this is the place to go with a large group of people who are more interested in partying with one another than how good the service or food is.

Cool place

By Yvonne H |

We were shopping at Pioneer Place and wanted something to eat and decided that we wanted to stay within the mall, but not typical mall food. We stumbled upon this cool place. There's a bowling alley within the restaurant. Although we didn't bowl, I thought it was a great idea. The food was good. Service was less than par. I did like that you get served two biscuits with jam while reviewing the menu. Unusual, but again I liked it. I ordered the Gastro Club and Hubs ordered the regular burger. The GC came with arugula but I asked if they had regular lettuce as I don't like arugula. Server said they had spring mix that's it. So I opted for that instead. When our food arrived, my hubs had regular lettuce on his burger. I ate mine with the spring mix but was disappointed that she told me that was my only option. Their fries are fresh cut and fried to perfection. They were my favorite part of the meal. We had to keep asking for refills etc. so service was favorite part of this experience. Will I return, probably not but the experience was good.

# YUM

By CiCi_007 |

I had the best food and drink experience at this fun establishment. The Vegetable pot pie was so amazing served with freshly baked biscuits and a bounty of veggies. Perfect with a punch bowl full of fruity mimosas. A great location for brunch, happy hour and get together with friends.

Fun place to hang out

By Annette L |

went here during our Portland visit to catch the All Star dunk/3point contests. Sat at the bar and ordered food. The bartender was nice but pretty busy. I had the farro bowl which was delicious and healthy. Daughter had the sloppy joe which was apparently also great bc she ate it in about 2 minutes. They have bowling, ping pong, air hockey, shuffle board, darts, video games. Fun place to hang out!

Belly full portions & great flavor

By Dlkennedy619 |

Stopped by for lunch before our movie and were delighted at the warm friendly staff and furniture. Located a bit hidden in the mall but you don't want to miss stopping by. My burger arrived in a cast iron skillet with home cut fresh fries just delicious. My husband ordered the Turkey Club that was a good sandwich but this was a time I didn't want to split our meals so we can try two items in one visit. I highly recommend the burgers which are juicy and cooked with great seasoning. A good price for such tasty food and generous portions.

Fun restaurant, bar and arcade!

By Mnmtarzon |

We visited for lunch on a Friday at noon and the place was pretty empty....BUT the food was outstanding.....where was everyone!!? We had the trout, the tacos and the crispy chicken biscuit. Brunch is served until 3pm daily. All three meals were tasty. We also had moscow mules and a chocolate shake- all good. There is a fun arcade around back with bowling alley, skee ball, vintage video games, karaoke, corn hole, shuffle board....you name it! Looks like a fun place to be on a Fri or Sat night!

Expected a little more...

By AlSchramm |

So upon check in, I told the guy I had a reservation, even though they weren't busy for a Sunday morning. I choose this place for my birthday, and was very hopeful, but things seemed to fall short. Our server (name withheld) didn't seem "eager" to take drink orders or food orders. The food is "ok" and not really outstanding. We tried bowling , but I got shoes that would stay "Velcro'd" and was rather hard to bowl. In a nut shell, this will be my last time here. Also took for ever for a drink in the bowling side

So much fun and great food

By MeaganWristen |

I took my kids and a few of their friends here last month and we all had too much fun. We had a whole bowling section to ourselves which was cool. They break up the bowling lanes up so they are sprinkled throughout the facility, not all lumped together. We really liked having a whole section to ourselves. We tried lots of the appetizers and found all the food to be great. They offer happy hour specials on food during the afternoon. They have private karaoke rooms, so no one can hear you except the people in the room. Plus, there's pool tables, shuffle board, and old school video games.

Great place for a group event

By Jeffrey R |

We had a great time. Our group was in town and one of the events was a private event at Punch Bowl Social. We had our own bowling lanes, air hockey table, buffet and balcony. Staff was great, we never wanted for anything. We also took advantage of old school video games (Galaga, Ms. Pacman, Pinball) and their table-top shuffleboard. Oh, and Karaoke! It was a great way to get away from the business of the day and relax. Couldn't recommend it more highly for groups!

The atmosphere here is very relaxed. The food is great.

By Momwith2teens |

This place is good for all. Families, couples, date night, corporate lunches,,, I can't think of anything that would not go well here.

The shrimp tacos

By Teesha M |

Oh em gee, the shrimp tacos were amazing! The drinks were good. Service is a bit slow, well .... really slow but the locals say that’s par for the course in Portland.

Not your typical bowling alley

By Kevin M |

Our family of four met another family of four for bowling on a Saturday afternoon. The bowling lanes are spread around the venue which takes the entire third level of Pioneer Place. We used two lanes of the four in our bowling area. The lanes can be configured to automatically deploy bumpers when kids are bowling, and retract the bumpers when adults are bowling. Servers come around for food and drink orders. The actual bowling is more expensive than at some venues in the suburbs, but the upscale venue justifies the cost.

Great time !

By jro1984 |

Fun place with tons to do. Bowling , shuffle board , darts , bar , video games , food , air hockey. Quiet on a weekday. We had a great time .

Good happy hour for drinks

By hawktraveler8 |

Good happy hour for drinks, food is pretty much carb options. Queso was like velveeta so it’s got hard fast. Drinks were great though

Game Night

By Cindy T |

I recently had the please of eating and playing at the Punch Bowl Social Portland. Located downtown Portland this is a place to visit whether you have children or not. Minors are allowed in the establishment so if you do have kids make it a stop when in Portland. We went for a work conference so we had the place mostly to ourselves. The food was excellent, the drinks were fabulous and the games were awesome. We played the giant Scrabble game located on the wall, ping pong, and the 80's arcade games. I don't think I have had that much fun in a long time. FYI; you have to try their punch bowl social drinks. They are to die for.

Fun Place with Friends

By julatta |

Had fun meeting friends here for a night out. Love the old school feel of an arcade and putting my dollars into the quarter machine. Fast service at the bar and so much fun playing Centipede and Buck Hunter. Would come here again.

Private group event -- great food, excellent service

By Rhonda B |

Our conference had booked out about half the venue. Although I didn't participate in any of the activities (bowling, karaoke, darts, shuffle board?, etc.), many did. Service was friendly and attentive without being 'in your face'. The food provided to our group was tasty (Mexican theme) and there was plenty of it. The bar staff were great and remembered your previous order from an hour or two before. I can't comment about the cost of the food as this was part of the event. Drinks were reasonable (standard margarita over ice was $8).

Reasonable

By 1985GS |

My first impression on the bowling was that it was too bright! I expect my bowling alleys to be a bit darker, more grimey. Plenty of big TVs at both ends of the alleys. There's a bar right in the bowling area. Drink prices are reasonable for the area.

NEVER AGAIN

By Laura A |

We were ignored by one of the bartenders for over 10 minutes. One of the servers came over and was very kind. Harrison, one of the managers there came over to the server and told him we were not to be served. The manager then proceeded to be unnecessarily rude to us. We had been polite and only had one post-dinner drink at this bar. We’re now standing here waiting for our bill, being ignored yet again.

Good food & changing table

By Travel4FunBurns |

Had lunch on a Saturday afternoon and my burger was great. Hubby and I brought our 3 mo. old and there was a clean changing table in women's bathroom. Nice to see other families there too.

Eat, Play, Repeat – A Perfect Spot for Any Crowd

By Global Flavors and Journeys |

We visited Punch Bowl Social on a Sunday to catch the Mariners game, and it turned into a full-day experience. This venue is perfect for just about any group — couples, families, co-workers, or friends. The atmosphere is energetic but well-balanced, with the main dining area separated from the games, and plenty of high-tops throughout if you want to snack while you play. The variety of activities is impressive — bowling, ping pong, air hockey, skee-ball, darts, shuffleboard, and even giant Jenga and Connect 4. You can keep things budget-friendly with the free games or go big with the premium ones. There are also two patio spaces that make for great gathering spots, especially on sunny days. The menu offers something for everyone, from small bites to full entrées, and the drinks list is just as diverse. I highly recommend trying one of the signature punch bowls — fun to share. Even though the staff was clearly stretched thin, they managed to deliver great service with a smile the entire time. Big credit to the team for keeping the vibe positive and the energy high. Overall, Punch Bowl Social is a place that delivers on every front — food, fun, and atmosphere. Whether you’re there for a game or just looking for a memorable day/ night, it’s a spot worth revisiting.

Fun place

By Traci S |

We went here for a work party. There is a lot to do, bowling, darts, karaoke, ping pong, lots of games. We had our own area for our office. The bowling is not like a regular bowling alley, the pins are hanging on strings and the balls are really bad, the lanes are not kept up like a professional alley so if you are really serious about bowling, you will be disappointed. The dart boards looked like someone must have thrown a drink at them because they were bulging in places, how you have an accurate game, I don't know. The ping pong paddles were really in bad shape too, I guess they get a bit abused there! Two coworkers complained about mixed drinks they ordered not being right and not good. I had a beer and there " Blame it on Rio" cocktail, it was good but I got maybe 4 drinks out of it and it was gone, it had a lot of ice. I wouldn't go back but I'm married and not into going out of the suburbs on my time off. I'm downtown enough for work! The Punch bowl provided our dinner and it was actually very good, fried chicken, green beans and great macaroni and cheese and a great mixed fruit crumble.

Dinner and games

By Edde A |

Food was not bad, atmosphere was kinda dark so it gave the big place an intimate feel, staff was so-so. But I'd go again.

Great group event

By PH-Travel-Lovers |

We did a group event for about 85 people. Our group loved the 3 hours we got to hang out at the Punch Bowl. We had a private area with plenty of room. Ping pong, bowling, fuse-ball, karaoke, open bar, heavy appetizers, and plenty of social areas. I think our team members got more out of the bonding and social time than we would have in formal meetings all afternoon. Prices were reasonable. Service was great. This place has a casual feel to it. Easy walk from most hotel's in Portland city. Walking is nice when a group of people are socially drinking. Nothing but positive feedback from our group.

No service at all

By Jana G |

The host barely looked at us but seated us promptly then said he would bring some water. 10 minutes later we left after no water or order. If the place was crowded we would have been more patient but there were only maybe 20 people in the entire place. 😠

Great Food, Inexperienced Service

By M D |

This is a typical mall restaurant but with great food. Being that I wasn’t looking to eat in a mall-type setting and wanted a sight of Portland, I asked to be seated outside as this restaurant is located on an upper level in downtown. My request was refused. The hostess and servers were inexperienced and do not have the concept of customer satisfaction. Aside from that, the food was delicious! Wide variety and good quality. Had the service been up to par, I would have rated this restaurant much higher. But overall experience in dining is worthy to be noted as well as the food.

I don’t know if I would return

By atfox1 |

Went with our 2 teenagers and were excited to try this place. A little hard to find because it is in a mall. Half the restaurant was inaccessible due to a private party. When we went to order 3 out of 4 items were unavailable. Would have been nice to have been informed at the time of seating. Service was just ok. Our waiter sweated a lot. Drinks were pricy. Food was decent but not great. Wish I could of written a better review.

Fun Times, Good Food

By Gwen H |

I dined at Punch Bowl Social in Portland with a group of co-workers. The place is fun, lively, has great drinks and good food. A fun time was had by all. Great music could be heard throughout the restaurant. The Nachos are very good as well as the Lobster Roll w/Onion Strings. They have an interesting drink called "High Fashion". It tastes absolutely wonderful. The Service was excellent. The next time you are in Portland, OR Check out Punch Bowl Social.

Late night Entrtainment

Fun place for a night out

By Sarah K |

We had hoped to bowl but it was reserved for a private party so we had dinner and drinks in the bar area, food was good but the service was a bit lacking.

Total disappointment and verbally abusive staff

By VancityAussie |

Seriously underwhelming night that was almost completely sent over the edge by an aggressive staff member. Our friends were told that at 10pm children must leave the restaurant. Fair enough, we were told this at 8.30pm or so. We asked for the bill well before 10pm and it still hadn't arrived close to 10. After flagging down our server and getting the credit card machine we were approached by a very aggressive security guard who told us to "leave, just leave and get out of the restaurant". We explained were finishing paying and that our sever didn't seem to be in a rush close to 10pm. He continued to yell aggressively at us and told the parents to "send the kids outside on their own NOW. They must leave". The kids are like 3 and 8yrs old, way too young to be hanging outside on their own. We got up to leave and he was continuing the verbal abuse. We were concerned he was going to throw down with us or drag the kids out. He followed us to the exit and when we asked for is name he said "my name is Smokey" and laughed. Obviously giving us fake info. Absolutely appalling treatment. It would have been 10.02pm when we actually left the restaurant and we were paying up at the time / trying to leave. On top of that, we found out after ordering dinner that there were no games available. No table tennis, bowling, board games.. zero. A private had booked out the whole space... really?! That's the main reason we came here on a busy Saturday night! Food was pricey but ok I guess. We'll never return to this place again.

Yummy Quesadillas!

By Yashna H |

Nice place for bowling, pool, table tennis, and other games! Nice vibe. The chicken quesadillas were SOOO good - had some good full ones after a long time. Interesting nachos too! Overall - we had a great time :)

Relaxed Tasty Lunch

I had a tasty juice drink with lime, orange syrup and a shot of vodka. Very refreshing! I had the farmer's platter served on a wood board. It was yummy.

Unimpressed with average restaurant

By Kim J |

We went here to participate in a trivia event. We arrived really early to get good seats and the staff placed us WAY in the back by the kitchen. We could barely hear the questions as they were being called. I highly suspect that our placement had to do with the fact that we had children with us. We walked past empty tables near the front of the event that would have held all of us. Later attendees with no children got those prime spots. We ordered food. It was strictly average. My cubano was decidedly bland. The chicken and waffles was uninteresting. The Shirley Temples were the best part of my meal. Overall, probably wouldn't go here again (and haven't) despite having coupons for our next meal.

Screwed us bigtime

By sagco |

We were holding a conference in town and set up an offsite activity for a small group of attendees to opt in and join us for a trivia event here. We called to confirm the day before but when we arrived they were holding private events for Microsoft and Audi and not doing trivia. Seriously the day before when we called you didn't know you were having private events and no trivia. Thanks for making us look bad to our members.

Super Fun Day!!

By camich |

My grown kids and I spent practically the whole day here. We bowled, played ping pong, shuffleboard, and skeeball. It was the best place to spend a somewhat chilly day in Portland. Our server/equipment manager (Drew) was the most awesome!! He made amazing drinks and kept our glasses full. We ordered food at the end of the day...it was also very good. The price for our full day adventure was unbelievably inexpensive. We will certainly visit again next time we are in town.

Great food phenomenal service!

By D V |

Gave it a go specifically to try the impossible burger. Awesome joint and the best server we've ever had. Good spot reasonable price, great menu.

Conference wrap up party

By Nadia L |

This place was an awesome way to end our annual conference! The staff were so friendly taking drink orders as soon as we sat down and checking in frequently. So many games for all interests and a photo booth and patio appealed to all. Skeeball, pinball, arcade, darts, air hockey, bowling!! This place was one place I said I would have loved to come back to.

Disjointed Restaurant

By Brandon |

We were looking for a place for a quick lunch while visiting Portland and came across this restaurant. Overall I don’t think we would return. The service was very disjointed and it wasn’t really clear who was our actual waiter/waitress was. The staff was all over the place and none of them seemed to know what was going on. The menu was an attempt at being trendy but the food was mediocre, bland, and overpriced.

Poor Service, Good Drinks

By saraheileen76 |

The pun his excellent. The beer choices are great. The service is lousy, or at least it was when we were there. It is a clean restaurant with many servers, but nobody around who seems to care to take care of customers, as they're too busy socializing among themselves. I hope when we went it was just a bad experience by chance.

Fun Place, Eat, Drink and Bowl

By Pauline L |

We stopped in for a quick Hef. before a movie and sat in these huge chairs in the main entry area. I felt like I was in some huge rustic mountain Lodge. The place is huge and yes, you can eat, Drink, be Merry and BOWL.. That's right, they have 2 Bowling Alleys and Shuffleboard too...Go have fun and enjoy the place. We'll be back and will likely bring our Pirate and mermaid friends with us (5/11/14)

A complete Portland must!

By Ana M |

It has a very cool location, we went there for lunch and it was perfect time of the day because there wasn't that many people. I totally recommend the french fries!

Some good and some so so

By jmpjoy |

Wings, Dino kale Caesar salad and gravy fries were very good. Kids meals were so so. Lemon waffles isn't appealing to a young pallets. Sesame rolls are also not kid friendly. Ribs and fries were delicious. Drinks were also good. Service was excellent - I would give 3.5 stars

Literally Bowl

By ClintonUSA |

The Punch Bowl restaurant has serious Swag. Ambiance is to be appreciated here. Take your kids they will love it too and you can enjoy the bar scene. I definitely recommend this restaurant and when I’m in the area of downtown PDX I will be back. P.S. The food was good and the service was great

Quirky place

By meenamara |

Was visiting Portland for a night and having eaten nearby we googled a place to go for a drink and this came up. It was initially hard to find because we didnt realise it was actually in the shopping centre! There are obviously lots of things to do there from bowling to ping pong to pool and darts so Id say its a great lively place on weekends. We were there on a Thurs night and it was quiet enough. Good cocktails though. There appears to be a separate restaurant area and bar area.

Hipster

By Jeffrey G |

Be prepared for non traditional food ie mushroom biscuits and gravy. Very hip place with twists on traditional fare. Overall a fun place just do not come looking for bar food as it is not here.

Great staff, activities and food for a birthday party

By gjfromwa |

Finding a good place to keep teens entertained for a party is tough especially when it is in November and it really needs to be inside. We found this place on the recommendation of a coworker. At first my daughter was skeptical. But going and visiting she thought it would be fun. We had 14 teens and we arranged for the birthday party to include bowling (they have 3 sets of 4 alleys, we had two set aside for us) and karaoke ( a whole room where the kids were able to scream (i mean sing). The food was good, there were other activities like ping pong, air hockey, video games, pinball, etc. Enough to keep teens busy for 3 hours and make them tired. Finally, the staff was great--we communicated well and worked to keep the party going without any problem. It was a bit expensive but for a Sweet 16 party, it really only happens once and my daughter loved it. The food options could be improved. Would like a better variety of choices in the menu but what they had was good.

Good place for a Date

Been here a few times on dates and with friends, I recommend it. They have lots of activities you can do. Bowling, Karaoke, ping pong, A few Video games, foosball, shuffleboard to name a few. If you want to bowl on the weekends expect to wait a while if you show up after 10. I've never tried the food but it looks good, the drinks were good too. This is a good place to start the night, definitely not the type of bar you wanna be showing up after midnight. I've been there Friday and Saturday night and the atmosphere was good. There's lots of good bars in walking distance so when it dies down you can hop to the next bar.

Slooow service

The service is extremely slow. I waited over 15 minutes to get a cocktail. No one even tried to greet me or anything. Go somewhere else.

50th Birthday Celebration

We did a group even for about 90 people. Our group enjoyed the food, bar and activities and just hanging out. We had a private area for 3 hours on a Saturday night. It is a very fun place.

Fun Times

Went with lots of family --- ages 5 to 70 and we all had a good time. Food is good enough, but everything else was great.

Hipster Dave & Buster’s

Punch Bowl is a fun place with the emphasis on gaming and drinking and eating in that order. Bowling, ping pong, pinball, board games, jenga and more. It’s a lot of fun if you go with a group. The food is totally unremarkable. The crowd is younger and hipper and there are less kids than Dave & Buster’s but it’s the same concept. Also, if you’re in Portland with so many options, why are you here?

Great for a large group!

Went here for a work large work party, we were able to rent out the entire bowling area, had food and drink tickets. Their drinks are strong yet well made, reasonably priced. I didn't buy any food - as it was provided with the event, but the food was delicious. The veggie sliders (we're vegetarian) were delicious as were the pretzel balls with black salt. Will definitely be coming back. Love that it allows minors and 21+ throughout the entire space. I didn't bowl, but the people who did seemed to really enjoy it. They also have separate karaoke rooms, for those who are shy about singing in front a ton of strangers. Huge list of both classics and new music for karaoke. There is music playing throughout the club/bar, if you download an app you can actually choose songs to play throughout the club (really fun feature).
