Authentic Venezuelan food and friendly service. The cachapa was amazing. You could taste the corn and the cheese was queso de mano!! And they put plenty of cheese ( see pictures). We loved the mixed grill. Their sauces are homemade. The place is inviting and I can tell that other people’s plate looked quite good.

Carlos the bar tender and Alfredo the waiter made our trip memorable. Excellent drinks and superb dinner. Very reasonable prices and large portions. Authentic Venezuelan dinner.

We decided to go QKenan just because it’s high reviews. It is one of the Restaurants that has highest reviews in Orlando. unfortunately it is overrated. We went there with high expectations and nothing was special:(

Saw great reviews for this restaurant, so we decided to try it. We went in the midafternoon, and were one of three tables of patrons at the time. There were at least three service staff members working. Our waitress seemed to be responsible for taking phone orders as well, so she was tied up on the phone a lot, but the other two servers did nothing to help cover her responsibilities, they just stood around. We waited forever to order (seriously, at least 20 minutes or more). Once food was delivered, we didn't see our waitress again until we had waited nearly a half hour for the check. So the service did not meet expectations. Now, the food -my wife ordered an arepa with chicken avacodo. To her surprise, it came out as an overstuffed chicken salad sandwich. It was very difficult to eat as the filling kept falling out. The flavor of the chicken salad with avacado mixed into it was not that appealing. She ate half of it and wished she had chosen something else. I ordered the mushroom chicken. It came with a choice of two sides. I had black beans and sweet plaintains. I was happy with my meal. Everything had a nice flavor and was in a satisfying amount. I had a plain arepa with garlic sauce on the side. The garlic sauce really stood out. Additionally, my wife and I split a cheese empanada. This was a delicious treat and was not in the normal form of an empanada. Again, the garlic sauce elevated the flavor even more. To our waitress' credit, she did realize how long we had been left sitting unattended, and insisted on giving us a free dessert even though we had not mentioned any complaints. She gave us a tres leche which we took home and ate later. It was good as well. So overall, our experience taught us that there is good food on the menu, but you have to be very careful what you order. The service staff needs to be better aware of their customers and help each other out when things are not busy. An experience of plusses and minuses left us feeling that Q'Kenan did not match the high reviews they have been given. Maybe we just hit them at a bad time, but there was nothing that would draw us back again to find out.

Authentic Venezuelan food. Great family-friendly atmosphere. We eat here every time we are in Orlando.

This small, family run Venezuelan restaurant really is a hidden gem in the Lake Buena Vista area. The menu is surprisingly large with Venezuelan style arepas, sandwiches, entrees and more. They also have lots of fresh fruit juices, exotic sodas (and Pepsi!) and beer. I love their empanadas also - they are a little different than you may be used to! Lightly fried with a softer dough, these have delicious and flavorful filings. The cheese empanada is out of this world, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. I enjoy the arepa filled with shredded beef, cheese and beans. My dining companion had the Venezuelan equivalent of a grilled cheese sandwich that had homemade cheese. All is delicious and worth going out of your way for.

We visit orlando about every 18 months or so. No matter when or why we come to orlando we stop here. Jose remembers us every time even with as infrequent as we visit. Amazing service and amazing food. Do not come here thinking it is Mexican food, it is not. We are always thrilled when we get to visit near the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays since that is the only time they carry pan de jamon and hallaca. The tequenos with garlic sauce are to die for as well. We will always come back for more. Congrats on the expansion as well!

Alfredo our server was great!! Try the pork belly.. the lime juice was fantastic on it! We tried a few other dishes, but the pork belly was by far the best

During my trip to visit Orlando I went with my wife and son, we tried empanadas, cachapas and tequeños, very good, the mango juice was excellent

Excelente comida latina y buen servicio. Los precios son bastante decentes. Definitivamente una buena opción para comer auténticos platos latinos en Orlando. Excellent Latin food and good service. The prices are quite decent. Definitely a good option to eat authentic Latin dishes in Orlando.

The staff was very helpful in navigating the menu and making recommendations. The food was awesome (#18 Santa Barbara with all three meats!), the cocktails were good (try the margarita!)... thanks Trip Advisor! I would have driven right past this strip mall... very glad I didn’t!

Very good Venezuelan food. Lots of meats and homemade sauces. Friendly waiter and prompt service. Took time to explain the menu and offered us a sampler off the menu so we could try several different items.

The meal was excellent! Drinks were excellent! (Try the Santa Teresa 1792 rum) it’s so good. Our server Alfredo was excellent. His suggestions were perfect. We are only in Orlando for 4 days but we definitely will eat here before we leave.

Our first time to try Venezuelan style food. We were not disappointed with anything. Chicha was a delicious drink. We loved the arepas and empanadas... Simple but tasty

We were looking for places to eat nearby our hotel and this place pop up. My husband is from Venezuela but it was my first Venezuelan food. We had the Reina pepiada and the Cachapa con queso de mano. Our waiter was a young man very sweet and helpful. He explained to me the dishes with great detail. Overall, the food was good, the service was excellent, the portions big, and the price moderated.

This restaurant took me back to 1992 when I spent a year working in Venezuela. What great food and the service was lovely 😊. I plan to go back for a “Polar”

First time visit, tried a beef empanada and soup of the day which was green bean. Staff helpful with explaining items on menu and brought me a sample of the soup. Soup was excellent and combined with the empanada was just enough to satisfy my hunger. Would not hesitate to return on my next visit to Orlando.

Alejandro was our server and he was fantastic. He guided us on what to get since we weren't sure what we were ordering. He made excellent recommendations and it was our best meal out of our entire vacation in Orlando. It was conveniently located near our hotel in a shopping mall area. We ordered the Mango drink and the Papelon. Mango was delicious and the Papelon reminded me something along the lines of an Arnold Palmer. Tea flavor with the tartness of lemonade. You could also taste the sugar cane. We ordered a Picanha with fried yuca and sweet plantains. Steak was seasoned great with fantastic fire/smokey flavor from the grill. My family also ordered the Cachapas and Patacon. Both were great in their own way. The flavors blended well together while not overpowering the flavors of the ingredients. The sweet plantains and the sweet corn were great paring with the ingredients inside the "wrappers/buns". Overall, great experience and I would certainly go back if we make our way back to Orlando. They were also very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and the amount of options for gluten free options were great. The patacon and cachapas were gluten free and that offers lot of options.

We stayed at the Hilton Tuscany Village which was right across the street from this restaurant. It's in a strip mall with a Publix and Starbucks. Very unassuming. Another hotel guest told us we should try so we did and WOW! Our server, Antonella, was so sweet and helpful and service was amazing. We got 4 empenadas (cheese, chicken, beef, and a shredded beef/black bean/plantain) and an arepa and Q'Kenan bowl. ALL amazing! The empanadas were out of this world. Prices were very fair. Blueberry Mojitos... need I say more. It's a must if you're in the Orlando area!

It is a ‘must go’ restaurant for us while in Orlando. Get Jose (has been there for eight years and is a super nice person) as your waiter and enjoy a great lunch/dinner. The food is excellent, the service is great, and the prices are modest. You will not be disappointed!

Had a wonderful meal from here while staying nearby. The empanadas were amazing, I had a burger that was remarkably good, we also had plantains and arepas that were fantastic. We'll definitely go here again when we're back!

I when for dinner craving for fresh Tostones and they taste like a bag from the freezer, not flavor at all. and the sweet platain was super dry, . the restaurant was very friendly and fast service...

This restaurant has become one of our goto places when in Orlando. The smokey old fashioned and mojitos are fabulous. The meal is always outstanding We always look forward to stopping by.

Named after the Matawi tepuy Kukenan Tepuy the name is already perfect. We came from Brazil to spend vacation in Orlando. We were wishing to taste again the missed flavors of our home land. No need to say that the food was marvelous and brought back many memories. We had cachapa, arepa, tequenios, empanadaa and malta. All was perfect. We landed there thinking we had a reservation but apparently we did not. Nevertheless, we were warmly received by the owner who is exactly as welcoming as all maracuchos are. After kidding each other, she made us feel at home. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to taste authentic Venezuelan cuisine, and to any emigrated Venezuelan visiting Orlanfo who wants to be transported back to the once great Venezuela. I am happy my kids could experience a moment of the culture they always hear us talk about. Plates are well served. Tequenios are big, the Cachapas are generous and the arepa was a "truck wheel". I know ...we ordered too much but no regrets at all.

Don’t let the fact that this point is in a strip mall fool you. This place is crazy authentic Latin American food. Delicious, good service, decent pricing. If this is what you’re looking for and you go, give me a helpful vote!

We looked forward to eating here as we as we had a great lunch a few months back. Today, not so much. Meat/chicken over cooked to dry. Fries cold. Place packed at lunch so your call. Obviously they're keeping customers.Service is friendly and quick. However, we'll be looking for other places.

Honesty up front here. . . We try to visit every time we come to Orlando because it is THAT good! We haven't been here since 2019 however, when they were just beginning to expand into adjacent storefront. Our favorite server, Jose, is no longer working here, but tonight William did a good job at starting to take his place. We brought family with us that just moved to the area. They were a bit hesitant, but once they took a bite of the tequenos they were hooked. As a table we ordered carne mechada empanada, q'kenan bowl, tequenos, arepa carne mechada, arepa pernil, and the holiday plate that comes with hallaca, pan de jamón, pernil, and chicken salad. The overall winners for the table were tequenos and empanada. Everything was delicious too, but those we were still talking about as we were leaving. Also they sell whole loaves of pan de jamón. So we had to buy one to bring home for some special people to try. Keep it up q'kenan and we will see you on our next trip.

Food was delicious! Staff were kind and helpful; great with our kids. Loved our meals! The highlight of our trip!

Fabulous food! Incredibly low priced! The Venezuelan coffee is superb! The staff (family) that owns and run the restaurant are magnificent!! Friendly and welcoming! This is a MUST if you are in the Orlando area!

Came here for happy hour which is advertised on the door and on the TV screens in the restaurant. Server said there was no happy hour. I pointed to the screen where it advertised happy hour and she said let me check. Another server came over, offered us happy hour drinks like he was doing us a favor though said there’s no happy hour food. Service stunk, food was slow and did not taste good. Wouldn’t go back.

First trip for us to Orlando & we wanted something different our first night in town. The food was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. Staff was very attentive and cheerful. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try something new & exciting. We love Latin food and the Venezuelan dishes here did not disappoint.

We loved this place so much the first time we were here we had to come back to years later when we were in town again. The chicken soup was amazing. The sweet plantain shredded beef sandwich thingy was so good. The combination of sweet and savory was fantastic. The owner is kind and helpful with the menu. We ordered empanadas as appetizers, also fantastic. We'll be back anytime we're here in the future. Thanks again!

Small, unassuming and simply good. We always look for local places to eat, no chains or over priced tourist traps. This little gem delivers, the natural juices from all kinds of tropical fruits are a find. Try Tamarindo or guanabana, simply great. Then are the arepas and the patacones... Venezuelan at its best. Try something different, good all around including your wallet.

We had such a great experience at this restaurant! Everything was delicious and our waiter was so helpful explaining the menu in detail and offering suggestions.

We had takeout from this restaurant during our stay in Orlando. The service was efficient and quick. The food was good but not outstanding (although it was only takeout!), with plenty of choice on the menu.

It is the best venezuelan food restaurant in the whole area! I love to go there and the staff is amazing!

Definitely go here!! Empanadas, arepas, and much more. Extremely awesome and great prices, too. I can't recommend this restaurant enough! Everything I tasted was perfect.

Saw the reviews on TA, as it was on the way home we tried it. Possibly the nicest meal we had in Orlando, the food was full of flavour, really tasty, no spice, which was good as the wife hates hot spicey food, the service was great, it is only small and we had to wait for a table to finish before we could sit down, the place was full up the whole time we ate. Nice size portions, not over large, it all came out as and when it was ready, really really tasty and fresh. It was the first Venezuelan restaurant I have been to, it won’t be the last!!!! On to of all that it’s cheap, especially for the amount you get.

We went here based on the reviews and were not disappointed. This is a unique and great little restaurant. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was fun. Very reasonably priced. We are from the Midwest and rarely get this type of cuisine. I have been to Venezuela and this food was even better then what I had there. Fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend. The waiter was friendly and kind.

First time eating Venezuelan food. It was wonderful and the service was great. We ordered a variety of food. Highly recommend!

We decided to try this restaurant after seeing so many good reviews. It is small and every table was constantly full but the food came out quickly so the tables turned over pretty fast. They said they are planning to expand soon. I am a very picky eater and the owner took time to explain what the different menu options were and when I told him what I did and did not like, he made suggestions based on that. Everything we tried was freshly made and was fantastic, but the beef empanadas were our favorite. I usually do not like empanadas because I hate onions, but the ones we got did not contain any onions. They also make their own sauces and my family loved the hot sauce. We definitely will visit again.

Alfredo our server recommended Venezuelan dishes for us to share and we loved them. The cerviche with shrimp octopus and muscles, crab salad, ribs, and appetizer sampler were great. We will be back.

Q’Kenan is a Venezuelan restaurant with plain diner type table and even a small counter for solo guests. The staff was really friendly, giving advice on foods to try, checking in with you, and the second time I went, they greeted me warmly. The food was really good and was always accompanied by garlic sauce and hot sauce so you could make your dish just the way you like it. Prices were very reasonable, they offered fresh juices and even flan for dessert.

This was our favorite restaurant in all of Orlando on our week vacation, including several Disney restaurants (our six year old agrees). A great option for vacationers staying in the area that don’t want the stress of dining at a theme park or disney springs or city walk. The food was fresh and healthy and the staff was friendly and attentive.

What an amazing place with outstanding food. Take the recommendation of your server if you don’t know what to order. We did and we were excited with our plates. We actually ordered more. Go! Try this place!!!

My wife and I went in search of a local restaurant that is NOT chain related. We came across Q’Kenan and were sure glad we went! Had lunch here that was fantastic! We ordered the empanadas, cachapas, and arepas. All were EXCELLENT! The staff is super friendly. You can really tell they enjoy what they do! If you are in search of fabulous local food, I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic food and great friendly atmosphere. I’m so glad we found it through TripAdvisor. Staff were kind and friendly and helped us figure out the beat food for us.

Q’Kenan is a tasty Latin/Venezuelan restaurant offering delicious food at a good price. The entrees are large and most are in the $7-10 range. The service is friendly and quick. I enjoyed the pork served between two sweet plantains and my husband loved his arepa (Venezuelan sandwich). Many options are gluten free. Avoid the tourist traps and enjoy some good local food.

So many great reviews for Venezuelan food in a strip mall? Can this be? We thought about it for a while and figured what did we have to lose. Ok, so after our experience, I can say this place is totally legit. Do yourself a favor and go. When we arrived for dinner the seats were all full, but there are about 5 seats at a small counter, so my wife and I sat there. We were glad we did, as it allowed us to watch the staff interact and do some of the food prep. About halfway through our experience, I said, do you notice they are smiling ALL the time, and really having fun? This is a happy place. I read here that it is family owned. That family should be extremely proud of the culture they have created in their business. We didn't know what to order, so we asked for help and had two kinds of Empanadas, an order of cheese roll ups, shared a combo that included beef, sausage, chicken and pork and ordered sides of rice and beans. It came with tasty garlic sauce and even tastier chimichurri. Awesome. Everything. Throw in two rounds of Polar beer. $64. Oh yeah, and not just stuffed, but a full lunch next day from our extras. To top it off, the nicest young guy (who was not even our server) overheard us talking about yesterday's birthday, and they all sang happy birthday and brought over a fabulous desert, on the house. Advice: Go.

My wife and I visited here for the first time and are returning tomorrow! The food was incredible, authentic and had so much flavor. Our server was great, he told us about the history of the restaurant and why he loved FL. We had the chicken and vegetable soup, and the arepa. Large portions. Delicious, would recommend to anyone.

We love everything here, the arapes are awesome and today my husband tried the yo-yo it was delicious and the empanadas and the cheese I could go on, but you won’t be disappointed if you eat here.

We were visiting Orlando and wanted to try something we can't get at home. We have no Latin food in our little town. I've eaten arepas before, but never cachapas. I got a cheese cachapas and it was delicious. Something about the salty, chewy cheese with the sweet soft cachapa worked perfectly. My husband had a pork arepas, which was piled with lots of flavorful pork. We had beef empanada appetizers, which were delicious, and tostones. It was a very busy mother's day, so busy in fact that we couldn't even get through on the phone. But we walked in and they graciously made a table for us and gave us great and friendly service, even though I'm sure they were exhausted at the end of a busy day. I would definitely return and try some other menu items.

Trip Advisor for the the win. It’s been years since my last review but this place put me in my happppppy spot last night. Seriously a great authentic meal, very friendly service, and accommodating of grand parents with mobility issues.

Excellent service, awesome food and the price even better! A family of 6 ate for $100.00. Waiter gave us excellent options that we basically dont need to read the menu.

Ate twice during our trip - once over lunch and another over dinner. Food was good (if a little salty). Service was friendly and fast. We would go back

Our first time with Venezuelan food. Very friendly waitress, took the time to explain everything... great plantain recipes, homemade cheese. Perfect amount of spice. Not expensive, good portions. Would certainly go back!

Stunning restaurant! We are so proud of this restaurant. The food, service and the atmosphere are amazing. Honestly we got the authentic Venezuelan taste. Tequeńos, arepitas, empanadas, patacón and more. We will come back for Hallacas and Polar beer. Thanks Michelle for your attention

Such a great, local place with AH-mazing, authentic food. The service is quick and the employees are so welcoming!

This place was very close to my hotel, and got great reviews on Tripadvisor so I gave it a try. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and one of them, Ferenc (?) patiently explained all of the traditional Venezuelan dishes to me. I ordered the shredded beef empanada, and then the Arepa Santa Barbara with three meats and a side of sweet plantains. The food was absolutely delicious. Such great flavors and textures! If I lived in the area, I'd dine there at least once a week. What a great experience Don't miss it!

What a great dinner. Their happy hour is on until 8 pm. We shared a tostones relleno appetizer with shrimp, it was delicious. This was followed by arepas with grilled chicken and another with beef and plantains. Both were cooked perfectly. The seasoning was perfect on the chicken and the pulled beef was very tender. Our server. Alfredo was friendly, checked on us a few times and made sure we had a great dining experience.

Venezuelan food was something new for us. It is not like Mexican or Cuban. Generous portion sizes. The waiter, Eloy, was extremely helpful. We got an order of Tequeno as an appetizer and ordered the Arepa R Peplada and the Mushroom Chicken. Beautiful presentation and even better flavor. Definitely will return.

When we arrived there was another couple and young child in front of us. The waitress asked if we minded sharing a large table with them, and we said no problem. They were originally from Venezuela and helped us with the menu. We also got to here more about the current trouble there and a pictorial tour of Venezuela. There is an area there that looks almost like Monument Valley but it's green The Pabellon was delicious. We also had the Queso and chicken empanadas, both are very good. We also tried the Yuca and with the garlic sauce was great. They made my decaf coffee by the cup in the espresso macine.

They should score higher than your 5! This was the best meal we have ever had! It was so good we rescheduled our plans to bring additional friends with us on our way out of town! I wish we lived closer! Have recommended to anyone going to Orlando!

We did enjoy the Latin and Venezuela cuisine and ordered food we weren’t familiar with. That was fun. However, this is more of a night club or bar. Very loud music and large TV screens dominated the eating area. There is outside seating as well and it’s located in a small shopping area. It was an interesting venue and we were glad we visited but we won’t revisit

We were looking for Mexican but were pleasantly surprised that Venzuelan food here is even better. The presentation was excellent and so was the food and the staff. Come hungry because the servings are very generous. We would definitely go back.

This is a small restaurant with a lot of business. We went there on a Tuesday night and were glad we made reservations first as the place filled up quickly. The food was plentiful and very good. We enjoyed the Empanada Pollo, Pabellon Criollo and Parrilla Tepuy but don't worry if you don't know what's in them, you'll receive an explanation. Service was very good too.

Great date night with my husband, they had some new items on their menu that were amazing!! Hands down will eat there again

Excellent Venezuelan Cuisine. Enjoy the Cheese Empanadas, the Shredded beef with Black Bean and White Rice. Enjoy!

Our Server Ferenc (Gabriel) was AWESOME! Actually all the staff was wonderful! The food was amazing! We had chicken empanadas for appetizers and the Q Kenan Santa Barbara w/ chicken and the Parrilla Tepul Mixta ! It was ssssoooo good! Then they brought us a sample of plantains to try! We will absolutely be back and we HIGHLY recommend Q Kenan and Ferenc to EVERYONE!!!

Under new ownership but still fantastic food and service! Alfredo was attentive and was great with explaining the different choices on the menu. This is one of go to restaurants whenever we are in Orlando

I was passing through from out of town and decided to give this place a whirl, not having tried Venezuelan food before. The service was great, and the waitress was a rocket, which never hurts the experience. Another waiter checked in with me while I was ordering and recommended a traditional Venezuelan dinner combo, which I went with and ended up being pretty good. It was plantain, rice, pulled meat of some sort with an egg on top, and fried beans. It was simple food, but tasty and filling. The coffee was strong and flavorful, which is how I like it. The bill was $25 including tip, which for me, is great value. Overall, it was a great experience.

On a baseball trip to Florida stopped for a lunch/dinner. Great food and service. My son and I both had the combo plate which was a LOT of food. Pork chops we're my favorite followed by the sausage and chicken. Great seasoning and portions on all the meats and sides. I'm a pretty good eater and yet could not finish everything. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely return on our next trip.

Found this place via Trip Advisor and it certainly lived up to its high rating. Delicious Venezuelan food. Many varieties of Arepa’s. The Santa Barbara was fantastic as was the Tostaditas de Maiz. The Cachapa Queso Mano (we added shredded beef) was our favorite item. Delicious empanadas for appetizers. Restaurant also has a full bar. It’s in a strip mall but don’t let that turn you away.

As a family, we really like this restaurant. Food, service and hospitality.. everything is great. Every time we try new things, #42 is our favorite so far. Arepas, patacons and cheese sticks are all very tasty. Looking forward to come back next year.

Really enjoyed dinner in this little restaurant. The staff are friendly, the place has a lovely atmosphere and the food was different and lovely. The grilled meat and platter combos I think number 42 is great. My daughter has the grilled chicken that was great also and the sauces are excellent. Would definitely come back if we come to Orlando again.

Terrible experience with customer service, it pains me to write a negative review, but in this case it is needed. I’m a long time customer (since 07’-08’) , stoped going a couple years before the pandemic due to distance. Decided I would surprise the family with Venezuelan cuisine for dinner getting it to-go from Q Kenan , wow what a mistake ! When I walked in, I complemented the gentleman behind the register on the facelift on the Restuarant and asked for a to-go menu. He politely gave me one and had a younger female (Giova) take my order at 5:15 pm. I was never told how long it would be, but figured twenty minutes tops being’s the Restuarant only had about three occupied tables. I sat about seven feet from the register in clear sight so as to be visible to the staff when my order was ready, they could give me a quick wave over. At 5:25 pm a small orde lr came out and then a few minutes later a larger order came out. With four server/staff members including the young female who took my order, standing behind the counter for sometime I figured it couldn’t be my order but maybe a grub hub delivery . I noted the time as being 5:35pm and waited and waited. Finally at 5:55pm I asked the young man who I first made contact with how much longer would my order be ? He asked my name and looked the large bag that had now been sitting on the counter for over twenty minutes and said here it is . I explained that the bag he was giving me was there for over twenty minutes and unacceptable. At that time two of the other male servers/managers approached, asked my name and again tried to hand me the bag. I explained to them that the food had been sitting for over twenty minutes and that I was sitting right across from the counter and out of four people that were behind the counter talking, not one liked over to me to say my order was ready. One of the servers radioed the young female who took my order over to the register and again, she tried to hand me the bag. I again said this has been here for over twenty minutes , she put sauces in the bag and looked away like not her problem. One of the servers or manager said “I’m sorry”, I told him that it wasn’t right , especially after spending almost $70 on basically take out sandwiches and left. I Definately wouldn’t recommend Q Kenan, service is an F- , obviously making their Restuarant look pretty is more important than providing a good customer experience/service.

We have never had Venezuelan cuisine before, but others that are similar. I just called in, ordering pick up. The woman who took my order helped me to understand what I was ordering, and once we opened it up, it was just as she said. We all enjoyed it so much we went back the next day. The empanadas were great for Disney the next day, and saved us a ton of money on lunch!

Great food ! Great staff! Pick up some food to celebrate my sons graduation . I have been a customer since opening

We wanted to try something different and this food was incredible! Empanadas, onion beefsteak, sweet plantains so tasty!

I’ve had plans to go here for awhile during visits but just never made it. Finally made it happen on this trip and wasn’t disappointed. I ordered to go and they were really quick. The place was really busy inside with an energizing feel. The food was delicious. Pabellon criollo, Qkenan bowl and A Reina pepiada were all great and would recommend. Can’t wait to go back again.

We had a great visit, the food it was delicious affordable prices and Ferenc service make us feel like home. Definitely Best Venezuelan restaurant in Central FL.

Very good Venezuelan food at affordable prices. Eat here instead of at franchises! The staff were very friendly and helpful, as I do not speak Spanish and since the menu contained dishes with particular names. I likes the way the restaurant was devotares. I world have given the restaurant a 5, but unfortunately the food was too deep fried for my taste.

it’s a small place with a Togo section as well. We went at lunch so it was crowded but we were told 20-25 minute wait and ended up waiting less than 10 minutes. We tried a variety of dishes- a shredded beef empanada (Amazing), a tostone chicken sandwich and a shredded beef and black bean arepa. All were absolutely delicious. Enjoyed the sauces they had available as well. I would 10/10 recommend this place.

I was looking for something good to eat and was happy to find that Q'Kenan was close to where I was staying. I ordered the Pabellon Criollo with pork and fried egg and a Chicken Empanada.

This was our first visit. The food was delicious! We had no idea what to order but our waiter assisted us. If we lived in the area we would definitely come back.

After a lot of visits to Orlando found and tried this gem. All five of us were delighted with the food. The staff were helpful around explaining the menu and the food was outstanding . Shame it was towards the end of our holiday as we would have returned but we are back in October this year and it top of our list to revisit. Amazing you have to try it.

This place was so good and inexpensive. I can’t believe we found it here in Orlando. Drinks, alcohol, appetizers, six entrees and desserts for a part of six for under $120. Huge portions of really good food and fantastic service for well under $20 per person. We will be back!

I was staying nearby and searched latin food in my area on Yelp. #1 was Q'Kenan Restaurant. I now know why. I had the carne machada, sweet plantains and a pulled pork arepa. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. The habanero sauce was not too hot and the chimichurri sauce was delicious. Everyone was very friendly at the restaurant while I waited to take my meal. Whenever I'm in the area I will make an effort to eat there again. Excellent!

Excellent food and excellent service!!! First time here and we have a group of 15! Timely service and the tastes were incredible!! Highly recommend!!!

Everything was fabulous! Great service, wait staff answered all our questions since it was our first time trying Venezuelan food. The food was fantastic! We shared 2 different arepas, 3 different empanadas, 1 cachapa & the Pabellon Criollo! We loved it all, and cleaned every plate! Highly recommend! Favorite dishes were the Pabellon Criollo, Carne Mechada Arepa and Pabellon Empanada!

Was good Venezuelan food, they remodeled the place, now is more big, you can go with a big party, the crew is very respectful and friendly

This is authentic Venezuelan cuisine in a cozy family friendly restaurant. Dishes were so yummy and prices were great. High chairs available for babies as well. Great personable service and close to WDW if you are staying at the nearby resorts.

Everything is fresh & tastes delicious! Never a bad experience! Can seriously recommend everything - as close to homemade as can be imagined!

Tried this as our first meal while visiting Disney. We tried a bunch of different things from chicken tenders for the kids to chicken ropa vieja. the arepa with the mozzarella in the middle was amazing. The food was fresh and service was great. We will be back again.

If you are in Orlando make sure to visit for some excellent and interesting Venezuelan fare which is excellent value for money. We stumbled across the restaurant almost by chance (based on it being rated one of the best cheaper restaurants in town) after eating a very disappointing and expensive meal at a long established high end restaurant the previous night and I am so glad we did, it's one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at in Orlando and we will definitely be back when next in the area.

Sat at the bar on Friday to have dinner after work. Met the bartender Gio and Chef Fernando. The food was phenomenal and the service was better. Best spot in Orlando for Latin food!! Will definitely be back

Need a break from the plethora of chain restaurants that is Orlando, this place will not disappoint. This was my first exposure to Venezuelan food but it will not be my last.

Great local place. Sleeper location in Publix shopping center. Great food and service. Turns into a club after 10. Cool.vibe.

We were so excited to find a restaurant with Venezuelan food. That was the only part that was exciting. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated at a table more for two people than three. No big deal but it was cramped to say the least. Then we had three different servers and one was worse than the other. One server couldn’t even describe one of the entrees or where the restaurants name was from. We ended up ordering three items. First they told us they were out of the Beefsteak Milanese after we already ordered it. So my husband switched to chicken. Then they came out with the beefsteak and said they found one! WTF?!? Where did they “find” it??? It was dry like jerky, burnt and no flavor. Then my sons children’s burger came and it had a strange flavor and my son wouldn’t eat it. I ate some of it because they screwed up my order and ended up with heartburn. No wonder my son didn’t want it! When I ordered my entree I pointed to what I wanted as I ordered and the waitress still screwed it up and brought me something with two pieces of meat, pico, cheese and mayo all over it. I don’t even like mayo. I ordered the shredded beef arepa and got some gross sandwich with hardly any meat(chewy). I’ve been to Venezuela and this place is NOTHING like I’ve experienced in Venezuela!! The food was bad, the service horrible. My husband even speaks fluent Spanish and they still screwed up our order. Not to mention they charged us $13 for that disgusting burger for my child when the child menu burger was supposed to be $8!! And charged me the more expensive wrong item! Never again. I wouldn’t recommend this place for an animal, let alone human consumption or treatment. I have NO idea how they have so many good reviews. Fool me once but I will never be back.

This restaurant is a real gem! Food is so tasty, we loved it so much we went back for another dinner! Service was great and staff is very friendly. Add this to your to do’s when in Orlando!

Q'Keenan was my first Venezuelan food. The restaurant has gain popularity with the locals and tourist. The restaurant wall was adorned with pictures of celebrities and politicians that came to visit. It is not a fancy restaurant but food was good. The empanadas was really good. Must try when visiting the area.

We stumbled upon this place. Never had Venezuelan food before. So glad we went. The food was delicious and unique. It was very well priced and I doubt you could eat anywhere else in the Orlando area for this price and quality. The service was good. Our server made good recommendations since we weren't familiar with the food. They also had a small selection of beer which made me even happier. Great place to eat for adults, kids, families.

This is our second visit to this family oriented but quaint Venezuelan restaurant that serves excellent authentic choices that are well prepared and reasonably priced. The service is great. We ate the Parilla Tepui Mixta, Patacón Q’Kenan, and Arepa queso de mano. All of the choices were great.

First time for Latin food and it was excellent. Server was helpful and patient. I had a #44 and it was quite tasty. He suggested mixing two sauces and that was good suggestion. The generous serving of flan obviously made in house was amazing. Total bill was thrifty.

Used to be a favorite, but our recent visit left much to be desired. We drove 40 minutes for lunch, and it turned out to be a mistake. The service was lackluster, and our waitress seemed disinterested from the start. The food was barely warm, and our appetizer was forgotten until we reminded her. No refills offered, and we felt ignored until it was time for the tip. Sadly, we won't be returning, as this once-beloved place has lost its charm.

Having no experience with Venezuelan food, we asked for recommendations and ordered based on that. The plantain sandwich with shredded beef was fantastic - a great char on the plantains, but still tender and sweet.

I was greeted warmly upon arrival and ordered my apabellon repa and fried plantains to go....5mins later... ready to roll out. The arepas with beans and cheese was really good with the garlic sauce and the fried sweet plantain was done well. I'd recommend for dining or take out... good for families and solo diners. Limited seating but friendly atmosphere and excellent food! Will be coming back for breakfast.

Excellent service, food is amazing, and the prices are also great. Big portions. Definitely try the Fried Arepitas

We just tried Venezuelan food for the first time, Loved it! The plantains were so good! The food was nicely seasoned but not hot. Easy walk from the fountains. If we lived nearby we would be regulars!

Amazing dinner!! Found this on a trip a couple years ago and loved it. Returned and it was even better. Thank you Carlos and Alfredo!!! You guys were amazing!!! Pichana is a must as well as the Cachapa!!

Stopped to have lunch while we were in Orlando the food was fantastic with fantastic service and most stop place to eat if you love South American food

Been going to Q'Kenan since they opened back in 2004 or 05 I think. Even when they expanded their service has been maintained without a drop in quality. My 11 year is autistic and always they remember him and cater to him when he asks for his fries. Patacon is out if this world

Stuck up waiter, $6.00 orange juices, and all meals were over $10. I would not consider this a cheap place to eat. For the spouse and I, cost over 35 bucks. This place is nothing to go out of your way for. The food was decent, but I think Cuban food is better.

Trip Advisor did us right. This little dive has amazing food. We had no idea what to order so we asked our waitress for recommendations and shared everything. There was a sweet corn pancake with cheese in it that was next level to die for. We tried three kinds of empanadas. A cutting board full of meats and fried things, and a beef arepa sandwich with all kinds of tasty sauces. My two teen boys, my husband and I loved everything. We did try both desserts, tres leches and flan, and I could have skipped them in favor of another corn pancake thing.

Well.. went to a little place out the way and great service and tables food looked amazing. Sat and discussed what the staff would eat before and just had the best vibes this was going to be good. Wasn't disappointed. Then I looked at the rating on TripAdvisor and 100 % realise why it's so highly rated. Streets ahead of anywhere else local. Will be back tomorrow !

This place was sooo good. You have to try the empanadas! Everything we had was so good we came back the next morning for breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly as well! Jose was super - customer service top notch. Go- you won’t be disappointed

My husband and I fly in to Orlando when we come in town to go to our condo in Palm Coast. We always want to stop and eat here. Tonight was no exception - great arepas and we love the QKenan bowl. Delicious. Highly recommend!

Love this place! I fantasize about their arepas and can’t find anything like them near home. The food is amazing and the service has been terrific each time we’ve had dinner here.

This place is a gem. The food is great and the service is excellent. I highly recommend. If you're in the Orlando/Kissimmee area don't miss it.

This place hides the price of the beers and is very overpriced for no reason.. I ordered a bucket of 5 beers and it came to 40 dollars. For five beers. Totally a scam

The reviews are correct. Although not impressive in appearance, I highly recommend this restaurant. My wife and I split a Parillia tejuela mixta which was a great sampler of Venezuelan meat dishes with papa y yuca fritas. My son-in-law had a Parachita which is a sandwich version of what we had. Very friendly and helpful service. Many friendly Latinos were in the restaurant.

We went to this restaurant in august 2019.Our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 minors.A variety of food was ordered steaks, chicken and the pabellon criollo. The food was accompanied by several sides and drinks. Everyone was very happy by the quality and presentation of the food .The taste of the carne mechada in the pabellon criollo reminded me of the good old times in Venezuela. The people working in this restaurant did their utmost to provide us a very pleasant dining atmosphere. This place is highly recommended .

Good place to go and get away from all the chain restaurants. Modest storefront hides a place with an interesting menu featuring Latin American food. Reasonable prices with great service.

Visited this restaurant for several years as well somewhat expensive but good. But this last time the arepa with shredded meat was horrible salty, too seasoned and the patacones were chewy and took the tumba-rancho off the menu. Although this criticism sounds harsh, my encouragement is for them to improve or return to the service they used to. Personally, I think I won't risk paying a high bill with low quality.

Excellent Venezuelan food and friendly staff! Restaurant is clean and also has a stage for live music. Pretty roomy and prices are good.

It's been a while since we came here. Back then, the place was basically a hole-in-the-wall type place. But now, they expanded and updated the interior. They have a bar area, a stage for live music, disco lights, big screens, and loud music. The food is still very good and I would still recommend. But with the updated decor/ambiance, I don't think it's as family friendly anymore. We were there for lunch so there was no live music or entertainment, but the music was still loud. I would suggest getting take-out or sitting outside.

We're always le to try out new places and this didn't disappoint. Great service and quick food delivery. We got the New York strip steak for 2 and the seasoning or marinade was delicious. Left me wanting more. We plan to come back on this trip!

We visited this afternoon for lunch after reading great reviews on trip advisor! Q”Kenan did not disappoint! The service was tremendous- really took time to answer questions and make recommendations. After hearing that my wife is a vegetarian and not as adventurous of an eater as I am (she had a green pepper and onion omelet) our waiter brought her a complimentary cheese empanada to try along with the shredded beef empanada that I ordered! Very thoughtful and shows how the staff is proud of their food and wanting others to experience it. My wife and I both loved the empanadas and the homemade sauces (a hot sauce and a creamy garlic sauce were fabulous)that went with them. I tried an arepa for the first time and it was awesome! I took our waiter”s recommendation and ordered the 18 which had assorted meats and it was superb! Highly recommend this place!

They are absolutely fantastic. The food and service have never disappointed us. Please do yourself a favor and get the 3 leches cake. It’s delicious!!

My brother, sister-in-law, and I are in Orlando for our Disney vacation this week. This restaurant was very highly rated on Trip Advisor and other sites, so we decided to try Venezuelan food for the first time. I’m so glad we did! Juan was our waiter, and when we told him it was our first time he gave us a variety of recommendations, he explained the food, and he answered all of our questions. We ordered the queso de mano cachapas to share, and they were so good! My sister ordered the mushroom chicken with plantains, my brother got #44 which was the Venezuelan national dish- pabellon criollo, and I got the #18 which was a Santa Barbara arepa. I also got a mango juice which was more like a smoothie, and it was the best I’ve had since I visited the Philippines! This is my first review on Trip Advisor, but I had to review this place because it was hands down the best food any of us had eaten in a long time! It was so good that we forgot to take any pictures because we were too busy eating!

First time trying Venezuelan food and it was excellent! Can't wait to go back to try again. I had the Santa Barbara.

Fist time here. Seems popular with locals and tourists alike. Food is delicious. Authentic, no frills Go for the food and attentive service.

Fantastic food, great service, great value, highly recommended over Disney restaurants while visiting Orlando

Our family is in town for a few days and we wanted to try something different. Very glad that we found Q'Kenan. We were seated almost immediately, and the place filled up fast. Our waiter, Ferenc, guessing on the spelling, was very friendly and helpful. The food came quickly, and was outstanding. I spied a drink in the cooler and a chef explained what it was, chicha, so we shared one. Again, very good. We all thought the portions were good and took home a lot. Most of the dishes, or how they were prepared, were new to, and a pleasant surprise. Thank you to everyone at Q'Kenan.

We found this gem in Feb 2023 on vacation And returned March 2024 to eat here twice in the week. The food is wonderful, fresh and authentic tasting. The empanadas and mojitos are a must !!! And the happy hour is the best too. Oh and the Black beans are amazing! Staff is very friendly too.

Had dinner here based solely on TripAdvisor rating and I certainly was not disappointed. Waiter did back flips to explain the menu. If you order items 41-44 you will have enough food on your plate for two with leftovers.

Must visit! Diego was our server and he took very good care of us and even had us laughing out loud. A lot of fun! The food was amazing as well and is worth the trip.

Q’Kenan has delicious food for fair prices, a fun atmosphere, and really nice employees! All of the food tastes really great, especially the Tequeños!

Enjoyed a delicious lunch sandwich of beef and cheese between slices sweet plantains while my wife had a tasty arepa sandwich and fruit milkshake. The restaurant is a bit hard to find but well worth the detour.

When here for lunch absolutely delicious food very clean restaurant very friendly staff will definitely return to this place one of my favorite

The food here was wonderful. Our waiter also helped explain the spices and how to mix them on your plate as a dip for the meats. The portions are large and enough to share. If you have room after the dinner try the flan a simple delicious finish to your meal. This was better than a theme park!

Horrible experience. Do not go here. Went with my family of five. Waitress didn’t offer to refill water for my entire family for 30 minutes as we waited for food. You could see her standing in the back just chit chatting. There seemed to be lots staff doing nothing and the place was not busy. After 30 minutes we got 3 out of the 5 dishes we ordered. Two of the dishes we ordered were the exact same, an omelette and only one came out. A fourth dish came out after 3 of the family had finished. We asked if the other dish had just accidentally not been made and we were told ‘it was almost ready’. Waitress went back to go chit chat with her friends/staff. Still no offer to refill drinks all clearly empty. After the fourth member of family was also done eating we had to beg for waitress to come back to our table so we could just ask to cancel the final dish.

This is a friendly, inexpensive place with delicious Venezuelan cuisine. Try something new. The service was quick and the portions were just right.

Discovered QKenan by accident while shopping nearby. QKenan offers the best of Venezuelan food in the heart of the Orlando area: arepas, tequeños, tostones are some of the smaller offerings, but if you are really hungry go for a pabellon. Yummy!! The use of traditional cheeses, seasonings and other ingredients is a key to obtain the traditional homey flavors of Venezuelan cuisine. A+

Carlos “caballo” the bartender was excellent. Super funny and attentive. The food was amazing . The Beefsteak a caballo was juicy and tender and the sides tasteful. Will keep coming here and recommend 💯

We were seated right away and the service was very good. Not at all fancy but the food was very good!

We love to try new foods while on vacation and we were impressed. Our waiter chatted with us and gave recommendations. We started with an empanada and it was amazing. The tarter sauce is delicious—don’t skip it. We then shared a few entrees that were also yummy. We loved it so much, we went back the next day to get more empanadas. *sorry the photos were after we started eating

We choose because we stayed close by and it had very high ratings. However this place in badly over priced. $10 for a miller light, which we didn’t know until the bill came. Likewise I ordered cachapas while it was decent it turned out to be an 18$ pancake. I assume it came with meat etc but it didn’t. I don’t speak or read Spanish and the dish as explained wasn’t what came. I ordered pork belly not realizing it was an extra $5. It’s not presented that way on the menu. So that why the low reviews. Based on pricing I would have to say It’s a bit of a tourist trap so it’s unclear why it was so highly rated. I would not go back. Way over priced.

We don’t visit Orlando for the parks anymore , we do to see our friends and to eat at this place, that’s eat . Best food ever and I am not even from Venezuela. You must visit .

While visiting the area for a family vacation we were looking for a local family friendly, good home-cooking! We selected this restaurant based on its reviews. It was a hit! We had a cranky 3 yr old and hangry men.... while only one of our family is adept in Spanish, we were well-advised by our wait staff in our choices! Delicious dishes, new to us, and everyone was very happy!

Excellent Latin restaurant.Suggested by a friend, went online and browse the menu, ordered online due to pandemic. Quick service... food was so yummy!!! Happy tummy!!! Reasonable price.

We were going to the standard breakfast places. The wait was long and I noticed that this was rated really well. Tired of standard breakfast places, try fantastic Venezuelan food. People were very friendly and the food was fantastic. You must try the Arepas and Cachapas. I will be back.

We ordered online and delivery so I didn't expect it to come hot - no problems there. However, the food was not very flavorful and the beef and chicken was tough. The maduros were flavorless. I tried to use the sauces that came with the meals but they were also not great tasting. Again, it might be because of the delay with doing a delivery but....

So glad we came here. Have paid way more in the last few days for other meals, but this is the favorite of our trip so far. You won’t be disappointed if you come here hungry and with an open mind to try new things. Clean, friendly and obviously popular - don’t miss out on a chance to eat yummy Venezuelan food!

This is the most expensive grated cheese we've ever paid. Arepa con queso. Has no presentation it's just one pound of grated cheese cold. With some sort of corn bread .coffee was cold. And we have to wait long time. Believe it or not the waitresses take your food orders and prepared the food themselves. With those prices and food quality you can attend any restaurant hotel around .and paid for good food .free refill coffees .and good service I didn't find any connection with the comments in here and the reality of visiting the restaurant .a huge NO

very nice place, great and super delicious food. we went two times one for dinner and other for breakfast, both times was very good service, great and yummy arepas

Great value, nice service, food was plentiful-can’t go wrong with the lunch special, $12.99. I went midday so it wasn’t busy but I’m sure this place is busy when they have a live band.

We ate here twice during our Orlando visit; though the food was excellent both times, the service was varied. The facility is clean and well-maintained; nestled in a strip-mall, just down from our favorite area sushi restaurant. Fortunately, on our first evening visit, our male server was friendly, accommodating and attentive. Being this was our 1st encounter with Venezuelan cuisine, he was very patient in answering our questions about what were the selections. We had the Arepa Santa Barbara mix (cheese, beef, sausage, & chicken), and the Cachapas Queso Mano (soft cheese, with added ham). Both were delicious and amply portioned (with enough leftover for later enjoyment). On our 2nd mid-afternoon visit, our female server was intermittently attentive at best...spending much of her time in conversation with another staff member at the front counter. Thankfully we had been well-informed on our 1st visit, and had a good idea of other offerings. This time we tried the Maracucha burger (bacon, cheese, egg, sweet plantain, potato sticks, etc.); a tasty colossus of a burger with plenty leftover for later indulgence. We look forward to further visits here when returning to Orlando, and trying other options; since even though the service varied, the food was 5 stars.

We walked in and it was super busy. There was a short wait that was well worth it. I am very particular about eating meat in a restraunt. I was given a taste (enough for 5 people) of the shredded beef. It was the best shredded beef I have ever had. The owner was very proud of his food and he should be. Good luck to him with his expanded place. 100% would go again!

We LOVE this place. The food is amazing and the service is outstanding. We grab the three most popular items abs all four of us share. The kids love it and my husband enjoys the flavors. It is a must find with in Orlando.

I was the only black person in the restaurant at that time. The server Carlos asked me for my name. I spelled it out for him. When I looked at the receipt, he wrote my name as Mogoso which means color of rust. When my order came out and placed on the counter. My order was left there. They didn't even hand it to me with 3 employees standing there. Racist as hell. My first and last time going there. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Tried Arepa S Barbara , beef. It is outstanding. Friendly staff obviously enjoy working here. Very pleasant restaurant.

This restaurant came highly recommended by Venezuelan employees I worked with in HHI, SC. It's the first place I tried since moving to Orlando and it didn't disappoint. Arepas, empanadas, and the cachapas are just some of my favorite dishes. The staff is really friendly and helpful to a newcomer to Venezuelan cuisine. I can't wait to try out the breakfast options!

Fantastic. I wasn’t 100% sure what I was ordering. The server steered me right. It was amazing. Surprisingly inexpensive. Highly recommend.
Great cultural experience
Based on reviews I took my family here. Whenever we travel I try to get some type of cuisine that we can’t get at home. This Venezuelan place did the trick. The waiter took a while to get to our table, but when he did, he was excellent in taking time to explain the menu and offer suggestions. We took him up on many of them and he didn’t steer us wrong! One of my kids had the empenadas the other had the Arepas. I also had their specialty arepas and some tostones (fried green plantains). All the food was pretty good. My empenada kid devoured her meal. And my other daughter enjoyed hers, despite it being unlike anything she’d eaten before. The price is super cheap. We had a ton of food for less than $50. Good experience, good food, great way to introduce a new food to my kids and myself.
