I have a lot of drink and dinner meetings and often have friends in town. As I entertain a lot, it is really important that I trust the place I go will have good food, service, and cocktails. Raised has created a great venue that is dependable and consistent. I have never had bad food there and the cocktails are unique and creative. Yes, the cocktails are a bit expensive but that is the trend with cocktail bars in Chicago these days. If you want a cheap beer or house gin and tonic, perhaps this is not the place for you. If you want to try a unique food experience with a cocktail that is new and different then absolutely try Raised. Compliments to Uber cool manager Cliff and Chef Timothy. And thanks to the bar team Steve, Brad, Brandon, Mike, and Lauren. And of course, shout out to my favorite server Emily.

I really enjoyed the time I had with my friends at raised bar! The view from up there is one of a kind and you should not miss out on that when visiting Chicago! I loved it there and will come again when friends are visiting me. The fries I ate there were delicious! And the drinks are super good too! Totally recommend it!

Go for the beautiful view of downtown, because the food is HORRIBLE. Everything we ordered was terrible. And the hostess was rude. There was a really nice guy named Mike who helped us out at one point. Snaps to him.

very loud hotel bar/club. Drinks were good but nothing special. The staff was friendly and helpful. Due to the weather we were unable to use the outdoor space, but image it's a great space overlooking the river when weather permits.

We found this place and so happy that we did. The bartenders have great personality and make very tasty drinks. Kelli and Mike make our experience, thank you!!

What a beautiful night in Chicago and to be able to enjoy iron such a fun place. Service was wonderful and good to die for. A huge hit for this Chicago native.

1st it's not a rooftop bar. It's a patio on the 3rd floor. My date and I had deviled eggs (3) salso (half filled dish with ten chips) 3 tiny sliders and drinks. The bill was $127.00. Then I was double billed. Although the charges were "pending", the amount was deducted from my checking account twice. Awful. Go to the Wit, Pendry Hotel, or the Virgin Hotel rooftop bars instead. I sure won't be back here ever again.

I have been to Raised numerous times. I have to say we love it, which is why we attempted to book our office party here. The minimum is $2500. I get that. Our budget ($2100) would not allow for that, so I emailed back and asked if they could work with us. I emailed again and asked again if they would be able to work with us. I then called and left a message. I think I have been ghosted by them by not being able to have a budge of $2500. Like a said, I love this place, but their communication really does suck. A simple message of saying, sorry, we cannot work with that budget is all that it would take, but instead they ignore messages and don't return phone calls.

ThIs bar is located in the Renaissance Hotel. It offers a great view of the Chicago River if you're lucky enough to get a seat along the outer window areas. We were not so lucky, BUT, we sat at the outdoor bar and was served by the bartender named Mike. He was very attentive, and conversed with us when he could. Great atmosphere.

The outside seating was very crowded and is a little narrow. They seem to have a nice selection of different drinks.

We got there as a party of 4 pre-sunset and weren't disappointed. Good northerly view overlooking Wacker drive and the Chicago river. Upscale place and crowd with a generous layout. Service was pretty good along with drinks. Would definitely go back.

The location is unique, great outdoor place that has blankets and heaters for cooler nights. The only thing they could improve is service. Not very attentive. They also don't serve any snack with drinks and their menu of snacks is not appealing.

Raised is a really great bar. Period. What makes it more interesting is that its in the Renaissance Hotel but doesn't feel like a hotel bar. This is a bar I come to when I'm not even staying at this hotel. The food is really good, though I've only had the snacks, mostly because it leaves more room for the cocktails. They have a really great bar program here and it shows. Inventive cocktails and also plenty of intelligent and cool bartenders who can make you something interesting if you tell them what you normally drink. It's the staff that shines brighter than even the views, food or drink. They're really cool people and interesting to talk to and the kind of people who could totally be your friends if you weren't across the bar from them. They are what keeps me coming back.

Raised is a very nice bar with above average food and excellent service. Sometimes it's very loud, so not a good place for a quiet evening.

This indoor outdoor bar serves a light menu as well as a large variety of cocktails, beer and wine. We got lucky to have weather in the 60's nearly each day we were there in the first week of November and the outdoor seating - day and night - was great for gathering with friends and business associates. The only drawback was that some of their gas fire pits and propane heat lamps failed to work on the coolest and windiest day when they were need d the most.

The food here ain't cheap, but there';s enough on the menu to get fed if the weather's windy or cool and you just want to stay in the hotel. They have an outdoor area with some fire pits.

Overlooks the river. Really good food, wines and excellent selection of scotch. Get the skirt steak.

My friend and I really enjoyed our snacks at the Raised Bar. Stunning view of Chicago --- great small bites .. excellent wine and good service. I would definitely go again!

Stopped here for a drink and for the view. This is a terrace bar about 4 floors above the street at the Renaissance Hotel. Modern, busy, great views, inside or outside seating available, no reservations required. I recommend.

Very nice, rooftop seats is where it’s at. Wonderful view, Delicious drinks. Fast and efficient service.

Cute bar in Renaissance hotel. Rooftop looked nice if it were warmer out. Nice selection of craft beers.

Very upscale lounge with nice view of city. The signature cocktails range from $14 -18. Even a "regular" cocktail with top shelf liquor will cost $14. Beware the signature cocktails are very strong. Dare I say "undrinkable"? One $18 drink had a concoction of exotic ingredients which just were difficult to swallow. None of the 4 people in our group could drink it. However the server took it back and exchange for a much more tastier drink. Overall nice atmosphere but out of my price range.

Great location. Very crowded, even on weeknights. Overworked bartenders delivered mediocre drinks. Thug at door checking IDs and aggressively preventing customers from removing glasses from the bar. Whatever. Too bad, this could have been a good spot. We won't return.

It was our last night in town and I’d been wanting to try this spot out. Unfortunately rain stopped us from enjoying sitting on the outside patio but the indoor bar was every bit of nice and the service was amazing with everyone being so friendly! I had the Violet Femme specialty cocktail which I can only hope I get to enjoy again one day!!

We walked past the Renaissance and saw the signs for the "roof top bar". It's only a floor up, but there is a rooftop to sit on. The bar has a really cool aura. There are all kinds of different seating options from tables to around the bar to comfy chairs and couches to outside terrace seating. It has a farmy, rustic, warm feel. They had a good vibe going with the music. The drinks were really good and we accompanied them with the brussel sprouts and a cheese platter. We've been seeing brussel sprout dishes all over, but this was one of the tastiest. We will be back.

Perfect place to spend an afternoon / evening with friends or colleagues. Gorgeous views over the river and city, friendly staff, delicious cocktails and wonderful sharing food. Highly recommended!

Was looking for a rooftop bar on a beautiful city afternoon. Enjoyed the stop here. Friendly servers. A bit expensive but to be expected for the ambience and setting. Hubby enjoyed his burger and I nibbled on his fries. A lovely way to spend a late afternoon /early Saturday evening. We were there starting around 4pm and the spot was closing at 7pm for a private event. I imagine that might happen a lot on Saturdays in the summer if there are weddings or other occasions that book the spot.

Good location BAD SERVICE!!! Don’t bothered come here if u expecting a good service, absolutely terrible. Even the bar downstairs got a horrible service !!! Good location but absolutely terrible service. Over priced for what it is. Never again n totally don’t recommend it !!!

The food and drinks here are not bad, but also not off the charts amazing. Staff was friendly enough. This place has a lovely river view - but I wouldn't quite call it a rooftop bar. If you're going for an 'up high rooftop view' you might want to look elsewhere. Not a bad time, but not a great one, either. If coming here, bring good company.

Great rooftop location, right on the Chicago River. Get's CROWDED early -- but you can always find a spot. Interesting drinks in addition to the usual. Didn't eat here -- so can't speak to the food.

This was my first visit and we had 20 out of towners. This views of Chicago River and skyline were beautiful. We were in heaven. The food was delicious. Lamb sliders were my favorite. We also love the caprese salad pieces were unique and great. You should stop in, take out of towners or even Chicago residents will love.

Was successful on my second attempt to get a seat overlooking the riverwalk and the outdoor seating was more manageable when the temperature isnt too cold. The bar had interesting wall murals indoors but you can tell the crowd just want to hang out outdoors. The Jackie Rose cocktail made with whiskey was quite strong. Its a nice bar to hang out for drinks and people watch. Come early before 530pm for good seats.

That’s what the sign says when you walk into the bar. Not to judge but really! It appears more like a scene from the Bird Cage by the actions of some of the patrons. I felt like I was in South Beach,FL. I guess I should have done a better review before we walked in. Ordered a Chardonnay for my wife and a whiskey on the rocks. Out of the oaked Chardonnay so settled for the un-oaked. They poured the bottom of the Jamisons Black Barrel like that was the standard yield for a serving of whiskey. Absolutely pathetic bar service. Not impressed.

It was such a great spot to be outdoors for dinner and cocktails in Chicago. The only thing that was a bummer is that outside, they don’t place music. The food, drinks and service were excellent- but even light music would have been better!!

We hosted a private party for our client at Raised The weather was crisp but they had the heaters and fireplaces going Food was excellent- the chef did a spread of cheese and meats, grilled meat skewers, crispy chicken and lobster rolls Service was excellent! Will definitely return and have private party here

Stopped in here for dinner/drinks prior to a show at the Oriental Theatre (5 minute walk). Arrived and 5:30 and was able to find a table for 2 indoors (barely though, it really started to get crowded after 5:30). Limited seating outdoors due to a couple of corporate events however the atmosphere was just as good inside (minus the view of the river). We split the edamame, tuna and burger. Tuna was great as was the burger. Service was quick. Only disappointment was the lack of personal interest our waiter took in us. Didn’t even fake like he cared about our experience (not rude, just indifferent). Prices are reasonable for Chicago. Enjoy!

I had such a great time at Raised with a group of friends! Their rooftop has amazing views and it’s super spacious! I absolutely love the vibe! Both cocktails I ordered were delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day. Appetizers were amazing! Try the truffle fries! The best customer service! I’ll definitely return!

A lovely spot to sit and enjoy the views. We enjoyed some shared plates and a glass of Prosecco. Would recommend a visit to this bar.

This place is great, wonderful food, drinks, and views of the city. Try to get a seat outdoors, if unable to the inside seating is pretty cool as well. I would highly recommend this place when in Chicago.

I went to Raised Rooftop Bar with a few girlfriends and we loved the rooftop experience! The views of the downtown are are incredible as you can see almost the entire riverwalk! It is definitely one of the best rooftop bar views in the city. I ordered a Purple is to Lavender a High Tides. Both drinks were absolutely delicious!

Stopped here on a Friday night and scavenged enough chairs for the six of us to sit near a fire pit (there are several dispersed throughout the rooftop bar) and enjoy the amazing city skyline. The ambiance is amazing. The drinks are unique and delicious (try the Spanish Proposal for a fruity drink) and although we didn't eat, the food looked amazing. I would certainly return and eat.

I had a wonderful relaxing time when my son took me to The Raised Bar for my birthday in October 2017. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The wait staff was courteous, accommodating and intentional. Chef Timothy Powles provided excellently prepared cuisine that made my birthday celebration one I will always remember. This is a place to go to whenever you’re in Chicago for all occasions.

This is a beautiful rooftop overlooking the river with great food, excellent service and a relaxed vibe. I highly recommend the drinks menu and Sunday lunch/brunch.

We were greeted at Raised by a charming woman who escorted us to the rooftop that was awash with the hues of sunset. We considered all of our options and decided that there wasn’t a bad view in the house, but chose to make ourselves comfortable in one of their chic semi-private urban garden cabanas. The decor encompassing the entire venue was both royal and rustic. The garden theme is brought in through beautiful detail in decor, design, and presentation. The service from beginning to end was immeasurable in excellence. Mr. Lenny Skorcz and his team create a luxurious ambiance that mirrors and accentuates the culinary and cocktail offerings of Executive Chef Daniel Perez and Bar Operations Manager, William Nykaza. We were recommended a few cocktails based on our preferences in flavors. I will divulge this little secret - my mother actually shed a few tears upon her first sip of Monk’s Garden! The cocktails are beautiful and beautifully created, using fresh ingredients. For our dinner, we chose to enjoy a few plates from the Raised culinary team. Our four courses included the Peekytoe Crab, Lobster Rolls, Torched Oysters, and for dessert, Chocolate Mousse with Brandied Cherries. Again, presentation of each dish was divine and the layers of flavor within each dish carried us to new heights. From the fresh citrus of the crab to the creamy and crusty combination of the lobster rolls, the savory herbal oysters to the decadent chocolate and cherries. Each bite was unique and the experience was a journey for all the senses.

Raised rooftop was such a fun experience! The rooftop views are absolutely insane of the skyline and the Chicago river. Not to mention the food and drinks are delicious. The service was quick and the bartender was super nice. Will definitely be visiting here again soon!

The service here is atrocious. My boyfriend and i are staying at the hotel. After driving 6 hours, we checked in and wanted to go downstairs and check out the hotel bar and get a drink to bring back to the room. As soon as we got there we were "greeted" incredibly rudely by a mid aged woman. She brought us to the bar and told us we had to sit while we ordered drinks. Then some other lady came bulldozing over and was like "did someone seat you here or did you seat yourselves?" My boyfriend and i told her we were sat there by another lady. She looked pissed and scoffed and stormed back to the front to find the original lady. Then the original one comes back over and goes "why did you tell her I didn't seat you guys here????" My boyfriend and i are like what is going on??? Like what are you talking about, we were rudely sat by you the first time, got attacked a second time, now being attacked again. Like can we just order a damn drink please to bring to our room??? I've never experienced anything like that before. They were so accusatory and rude. They had communication issues with each other and instead chose to yell at us about it. Who does that? Like your coworker sat us here go take it up with her, not yell at the guests! Its my first time in chicago and I was excited but that ruined my whole first day because I couldn't have had a ruder greeting. Also, they sneak in a 20% gratuity even for 2 people. Awful experience

Rooftop… while technically accurate…it’s the rooftop on the 3rd floor not panoramic views of Chicago. View of the river and environs still Pretty. Good drinks, young vibe, food ok.

Ok, so here is the bottom line. Located on the third floor of the Marriott Renaissance Hotel. Offers inside and outside seating. Outside seating offers a beautiful view over the Chicago River. Limited appetizers. Nice list of creative drinks that are fun to explore. Full bar service including an adequate selection of beers and wines. Service can be slow. Can get crowded as people get off of work. One draw back is when the hotel closes the bar/lounge for private parties which is very frustrating when you are a hotel guest. Prices are a bit high but you are paying for the outside seating and view.

Beautiful view a bit crowded so i assume this is open to the public and not just hotel guests. Our drinks ended up being comped. Had two people who took our order, checked on us and no drinks in over 30 mins. Left here and went down to the lobby and got drinks in less than 6 mins.

I couldn't believe how great and relaxing this bar was. The wine was in tap and the apps were great to have as a snack. I could've stayed here all night.

This is a "must go" place while in Chicago. Besides the nice view, you can find a great food and an amazing staff, always willing to help you aiming to provide the best experience you can have. Simply go there!!!

What a great spot! We didn't plan it into our schedule enough but it was perfect end of the night visit. We were a little surprised at the early close ... we didn't want to leave. However when we got back to our room (directly 7 floors above) we were glad things were quiet!

This was a cool bar in a good location. Huge drink list and a fun patio. One of the staff was really attentive and even brought extra chairs so we could all sit. Great views, a little pricey.

A great rooftop experience and I will recommend it to my friends for sure. Service was slow, not sure who our server was (multiple people taking request, may be they were understaffed and just trying to make up for it). We waited for our second drink order for more than twenty five minutes (during which we gave two reminders for the drink) before cancelling it and asking for the check. Despite this mild sour experience, I must say the food was delicious and the ambience was amazing. I bet in a non-covid era the place is much more mesmerising.

Called in after a long day of shopping...they had the heaters on and the fire pits going...it was so welcoming...especially being able to pull a nice soft blanket over your knees. We enjoyed a couple of nice proseccos, another in our party enjoyed gin & sodas...along with these we had a serving of the Rosemary & Parmesan Frites. A pleasant way to end our day.

This is bar has a commanding look over the Chicago River, in spite of being on a few stories high. Sure, there are higher bars out there with much wider views if the city, but this view gives you a more personal view of the Downtown area. Add a great set of bartenders and servers, and you have a great bar that is perfect for winding down at night.

It was surreal/fun/entertaining to sit up there in a packed bar sharing a table with other random younger and older people on a Wednesday evening. Everyone seemed to be in such high spirits. Perfect set up to head for dinner after. Perfect view!

Avoid! Abysmal service, and it's not really a good rooftop. It's on the third floor, and they will not respect reservations. We were sat down on a 4-people indoor table when we had originally reserved a 2-person outside table. Our designated space in the corner was behind the bar, and after they brought our plates (12:00 minute wait, pretty reasonable), the waitress did not ask if we needed anything. She did not walk by our table even once in 22 minutes after our plates were brought to our table to check if we had enough water (we didn't, they only served us one cup when we sat down), she did not stop by to check if our food was fine, nobody else came to ask how things were going in 22 minutes!!! We were not able to eat comfortably, the food was VERY SALTY but not worth the price. $18 for a hamburger, and $16 for some small pieces of steak. When the waitress finally stopped at our table, she took our plates and served us more water. I had to ask for the bill at this point because I did not when she was going to stop by again. I should also mention that the table next to us consisted of 5 people and they returned two plates to the kitchen. Apparently, their experience with the untasty food was as bad as ours.

The raised is the bar in the Renaissance Hotel it's a great view of the city especially at night. But you have to go outside of the bar onto the roof. So when you come in the bar just keep walking and you'll find your way out hopefully they'll be seating available. I don't know if you can make reservations. Cindy's across from Millennium Park is also a great View.

Fun place for drinks. Great outdoor area with fire pits. Wish they stayed open later at night. Skirt steak was delicious.

Good drinks, great view in the outdoor bar area. Great for people watching, but very noisy and crowded even for a weeknight.

Central to downtown in the Renaissance Hotel, this was a cool urban chic location. The cocktail menu was creative and the appetizers were awesome. Not a large establishment so get there early and enjoy the views. Loved it.

Couldn't get served! Was there on a Wed night so not very crowded. Disappointed in choices of beer but managed through first round. Ordered food and another round but after 20 minutes, nothing. Went to inside bar, found waiter hanging there and asked about drinks/food. "Oh sorry I haven't put that order in yet." I asked for the bill and was handed one for $90. Questioned it and "Oh, sorry wrong one." He was able to find ours for $16 though. Too many other choices so check out some of the others before here.

A roof top with a lovely view of the Chicago River and surrounding architecture. Roomy and relaxed a fine stop for a pre show drink and small plates. Has a nice indoor area as well.

The grilled corn lollipops were delicious!!! The lobster rolls were ok, a bit dry but were edible. I can't remember the drink I ordered but I think it was the Watered Flowers. Very light and refreshing. Definitely a must try if you aren't much of an alcohol indulger.

Came from New Zealand and had this place recommended to us. Prices were on the higher sode especially with our exchange rate but the view and vibe was worth it. Stunning 180 degree views outside with stunning decor. Out of the 4 roof top bars i visited this was the best

We stayed at the Renaissance in Chicago Downtown and went to Raised for cocktails before dinner. The bar is urban chic and very nice. The staff/service was awesome and drinks were good. Loved the view of the river too.

What an amazing view of the river and skyline, top in Chicago. Very good service and appetizers. Good drink menu.

Raised offers variety of seating indoor and outdoor terrace including cabanas. Outdoor space has heat lamps and fireplace. Great night for drinks and apps. One of favorite places. Downstairs is another option. Love the location in the Theater District.

Great rooftop view over the river, not too high up. I tried the ‘Watered Flowers’ cocktail, with an egg white top; was sweet, punchy and delicious.

This bar is located at the Renaissance Chicago. It is very cool with different and unique drinks. The service was good and the environment was pleasant

Service is subpar and not accommodating. They would not let me sit outside and kept saying they didn’t have availability but others were seated out there after me. The manager said they accommodate hotel guest but not everyone who was given patio seating were hotel guest. I would hate to think I was discriminated against for whatever reason. This could have been a nice experience because I liked the bar, but unfortunately it wasn’t.

Raised has a great view. Seating is a bit unorganized. Service is horrendous! Let me not lump all servers, Valeria is horrendous. She takes orders, forgets your order and when you remind her about your order, she gives you attitude. Not even an apology. We even asked to speak to the manager and she didn't feel the need to get him for us. Yeah, there are other rooftop bars to visit, I don't need to go to this one.

Luckily we had an area sectioned off for dinner, as this place was hopping! Got to try a number of heavy appetizers - the clear standout was the lobster rolls, which were wonderful. Lots of nice options for the beer lover (although they were out of my two top choices - I still found plenty to try.) The standout of the evening though is the view - this is a third floor rooftop that looks right out over Wacker and the amazing city.

Located on the 3rd level inside the Renaissance downtown Hotel, Raised An Urban Rooftop Bar is a hidden gem. Offering an indoor and outdoor bars, appetizers & sweets, and comfortable lounge areas. Interesting drink menu is imaginative with fresh florals and fruit. The outdoor space allows awesome views of the city & river. Cleverly decorated with upscale, urban garden decor to replicate a breath of fresh air in a downtown setting.

This location is perfect for a relaxing cocktail. It was a hopping atmosphere as early as 5pm and the views of the city and river made this experience really enjoyable. The staff was prompt and attentive. We plan to bring our family who is visiting.

Got a cabana here one night for a girls weekend. The bar has a great vibe, great decor, great views, and excellent specialty cocktails. There is a $750 minimum for the cabana, but if you have a decent size group who is eating and drinking, you’ll cover this. The rooftop does close at midnight, but you can just move inside at that point. The food was excellent! We had a variety of snacks, appetizers, and desserts. We also tried several of the specialty drinks. The Sombrita drink is excellent. The wait staff was really great. They were constantly coming by to see if we needed drinks or anything. When we placed an order, we never waited long to get our drinks. We had a fun night and with or without a cabana, I will go back to Raised.

Nice view, nice atmosphere, very crowded, rushed employees. Just 4 out of 5 because of the high prices for the food which is actually not even justified for the sizes of the portions. Just for a drink: the place2b

I met a group of girls here on a Saturday during the day and had such a great time. I had a Bloody Mary that was one of the better ones I’ve had in the city. The bartender was super awesome too! I highly recommend this place not just for the delicious food and drinks but also the fantastic riverwalk views!

On a hot Friday afternoon, we had time to stop for drinks prior to our dinner reservation downtown Chicago. This was our first time at Raised & we were impressed with the upscale décor and awesome views of the city & river. We chose indoor seating for the air conditioning. The seating is varied within the open bar area, some tables & chairs, some lounge areas. Outside seating filled up fast during the late afternoon hours. Glassware and linens have a vintage look, quite unique for a bar. We enjoyed a variety of beverages from the bar: Monk's Garden, Moscow Mule, Mimosa, Vodka & lemonade. Eleven drinks total, plus one appetizer Rosemary Frites, the bill came to $150. Will definitely return to Raised.

This bar is in the Renaissance Hotel and is a pleasant place to watch the boats along the river and the people in the street. We had burger sliders, and a couple of other appetizers, all tasting similar to other bar food we have had. Good but nothing special. The drinks were "fashionable" as the latest in cocktails. Not being much of a drinker, I can't say if they were great or not. What impressed me was the french fries. They were some of the best I have ever eaten. Big, rectangular, potato flavor....just plain great.

We were charged with finding our own chairs to place at the tables that finally came available outside, but the views and food were worth it. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. Recommended!

Not that high up, vertically, but the prices are raised. Some interesting cocktail offerings and nibblings, and some quiet areas for conversation.

We came here twice during our stay at the Renaissance. Once for dinner and drinks- we had the steak skewers, parmesan fries and taquitos. We had delicious hand crafted drinks too! Later during our stay we came back to have drinks with friends, after hours. It was crowded but it had a fun vibe with a beautiful view of the city. The drinks were slow to come from the bar as it got later- and I thought it closed kind of early? Overall it was a good time and I would come back next time I'm around there!

Great spot to hang out and have drinks. Its hidden location at the Renaissance Hotel with a superb view of the river. Excellent atmosphere with the outdoor sitting. Drinks are good with creative cocktails. We didn't try the food. Would love to go back when the weather is warmer.

We had a blast ringing in the new year at Raised. Though it was not super high up, we enjoyed the beautiful view of the river it had to offer. We enjoyed lots of drinks, yummy snacks and the jazzy-pop bands that played throughout the entire evening. It was an intimate yet exciting night filled with fabulous decorations and people. Highly recommend this place for any type of celebration.

My husband and I have eaten here before and had a wonderful experience. Went on a Saturday and brought 3 friends from out of town. We were practically ignored the entire 3 hours we were there. Even after speaking to the manager about how awful the service was, it still didn't change. I tried to speak to him again, he didn't even bother to coming to the table. I'm stunned at how unfriendly, surly, (lazy) the staff appeared to be. I was terribly embarrassed after speaking so highly about this place...definitely will never come here again

We came at 2:00pm on a Saturday to rest after walking all over Chicago. Waitress was nice and the appetizers we ordered came out timely and delicious - rosemary frites, edamame, Brussel sprouts and beef skewers. Liked the vibe and the view. The cocktails looked good, but we were more in a beer and wine mood.

This is such a beautiful restaurant...amazing views, great service and we just loved our server, Juan. The fried squash was amazing, incredible Brussels sprouts, lobster rolls and mushroom buns delish. The cocktails were something you can't describe you just try them all! We loved this place.

The review by aubir-mom is 100% on point... great night all around... great view from the rooftop... excellent service... best appetizers/finger-food I have had in a while at a bar... drinks were flowing and well made... next time I am in Chicago, this will definitely be a goto spot.

We met friends and family here for drinks on a lovely night in Chicago. This is the City of Chicago at her best. There is an indoor bar which is really cool and eclectic, but the outside bar, weather permitting is the best. You are just above the street and the city lights of all the buildings are just fantastic. Good food and drinks to be enjoyed with fire pits, or heat lamps if needed. There are also private cabanas you can get, I am sure, for private parties. The place is crazy busy and fun..loud but just a great city vibe.

We were staying in the Renaissance, so we went to Raised soon after opening. We were lucky to snag a table upon arrival, as the outdoor deck was pretty full. They say that this is a 'rooftop bar', but it is 3nd floor rooftop, but really offers great views and is such a nice place to spend time. We enjoyed a couple of drinks (Purple is to Lavender was a creative and refreshing drink) and the parmesan rosemary frites. They were delicious and a great treat to hold us over until dinner. I believe Ricardo was our server and he did a fine job. Go early if you can to get a nice table outside.

We had a party of 13, on Saturday, June 30th. We spent 2 hours on the rooftop waiting for a friend who was celebrating a birthday, eating and drinking. Our waiter was incredible: Luis, and he took such great care of us. We were told that last call for drinks was at 23:35. At 22:50 our friend arrived (late due to some issues she had), but they would not let her in. I went to the front to see if there is anything we could do so our friend could join us. The hostess said that there are many people waiting (later found out that this was not true) and that they are at full capacity. Ar this point guests were leaving and there were empty tables. I tried to talk to her while a large party of 15-20 people left the restaurant. At that point I asked for a manager and the hostess said she cannot possibly go find one because she was not able to leave her spot (there was a server there too, but they said they cannot go get a manager at that time). I found Luis, our waiter, who immediately went to look for a manager. After a while, a manager arrived, Lauren?, a lady with short hair and bad attitude before any conversation even took place. She repeated over and over again that they were at full capacity as guest kept leaving and half of the inside space was empty. I explained that we want to have one drink together with the birthday girl and leave, since there was still plenty of time to last call. That would have translated into $150-$200 bill, but I was told that this was not about the money... In a very rude tone of voice she finally told me to go look for my friend. I found her by the elevator and she had 2 more girls with her, which I knew nothing about. The manager freaked out and told us they cannot come in (while guests were constantly leaving). This incident ruined our entire outing and left us pretty upset. Apparently the manager needs to be reminded that she works in entertainment and customer service and people come there to enjoy themselves. There was no logic nor any common sense used and the entire thing seemed absolutely ridiculous. It took 20 min of discussions while over 30-40 ppl left the establishment and they also lied about the “large line” of ppl trying to get in, when it was just our friend with 2 guests trying to meet up the rest of the party. This is not the way a business is run. Such a shame.

Staying at Marriott and check-in desk recommended raised rooftop bar because executive club bar closed this weekend. It was excellent! Great drinks, view of chitown, and snacks! Get there early because it seems to be an after work gathering spot!!!!

Love the Chicago rooftop bars and the rooftop concept. This space is super cool, with a blend of indoor / outdoor. Just be aware that it is only on the second or third floor, so your views, while spectacular along the river, are not aerie-like.
Solid spot
Enjoyed decent cocktails here - if you can land outdoor seating on a nice evening, good for you. Nothing particularly spectacular or stands-out about this place, but it is entirely sufficient if you’re looking for a spot to chill and drink with friends.
