Good Ramon off the strip

By Ago N |

I have a hard time finding a good Ramon place. This is a good place and easy away from the busy strip, but not too far. Great Ramon. Been here a few times and will return

Good ramen

By Alan R |

So I was again on the quest for good ramen. This time I decided to try another LV spot. It was a good ramen. I did not care for the shoyu was a bit too thick for me (the waiter did warn me of this). The chashu was some of the best I've had, and the noodles and house made sauces were great too.

One of the first ramen houses on Spring Mountain road..time to give some props from my visits throughout the years..

One of the first ramen houses on Spring Mountain road..time to give some props from my visits throughout the years.. Sora Service: This is a small ramen house with limited seating. The staff wastes no time with getting you seated and your ramen to your table asap. Everyone moves with a sense of urgency to increase the covers served. Sora's Ramen: The menu makes it easy to build your ramen bowl and my favorite is the Deluxe Sora Ramen and I'll add extra chasu and extra egg. It's #1! All the ingredients are fresh and they don't skimp on the noodles or the extras in the ramen. FYI. The broths here are a little saltier than you'd typically come across. Nothing extreme at all and I enjoy it, but it may not be for everyone. The gyozu here is tasty and you can't go wrong with any of the rice bowls. Sora ambiance: Decor is traditional Japanese Ramen house which makes sense but the seating is limited. There's a middle community table which they'll seat two parties if necessary. Timing is everything to avoid a wait. The Ramen and non-Ramen dishes have always been solid through the years. Timing is everything with avoiding the wait list before sitting down. There were numerous times we left because the wait was too long. If they had more seating I'd probably be here more often. Until then, may the odds forever be in your favor. Enjoy! =)

One vote love it, one vote hate it

Full disclosure: this was my first time at a ramen restaurant and I am by no means a ramen expert. I might just not have a 'sophisticated' enough palate, but I found my ramen dish to be so, so gross. I took one bite and would not eat any more. I got the corn butter ramen with the shio base, and the main note in the aroma was reminiscent of just straight hot cat pee. I was gagging before I took one bite of noodle, but in the interest of being, you know, brave and well rounded and all that, I was committed to trying at least one bite of noodle. I found the noodles to be gummy/tacky and almost stale tasting. My husband, on the other hand, hand the shoyu base and he thought his was excellent. Other reviewers commented that the service was rude - we didn't find that at all. It's a very, very small restaurant and the turn tables quickly so don't go here expecting to have a nice leisurely meal. They put menus and instructions right up front, and the idea is that you should be ready to order immediate upon being seated. They ask you three rapid-fire questions and then they're gone so read the menu and instructions up front and be prepared. I am going with 3 stars to split the difference between my 1 and my husband's 5 star opinions.

Best ramen I have had outside Japan!

By Sheetsofrage |

Really loved the ramen here. I got the super sized deluxe ramen and it was wonderful, but I think next time I'll get a medium size one. The largest size is massive. This place seems really busy though. We went around 5 pm on a Sunday and still had to wait for a table

Best Ramen, Worst Service

By BadHeatherNo |

Ramen Sora has some of the best ramen in town, better than anyone else in my opinion. However, it is coupled with the worst service of all our ramen restaurants. Once your ramen is on the table, they couldn't care less about you. If you're lucky you might get a refill of your drink, IF it's a soda or a beer. If you have water, just forget about about it. They can't be bothered to bring a check, or even give you a to go container for an unfinished meal. When I brought this up to the waitress, who's been there for several years, she just gave me a condescending smile and repeatedly said, "Oh so sorry." Couldn't have cared less. Well, I guess I couldn't care less about that tip I was going to give her. Anyways, The ramen is 5 star, definitely, but the service is 1. We have too many ramen restaurants with great service in town these days to accept crappy service from Sora.

Best of Vegas

By Kimberly R |

Ramen Sora is our family's favorite Ramen shop in town! We live in North Las Vegas--- but definitely worth the drive for the delicious bowls of Ramen.

Excellent

By Dana R |

My son and daughter in law came here a few months ago and told me I had to try it. They weren't wrong. Ramen is excellent!

my favorite ramen

By ektrusela |

monta ramen is so popular and I sort of got sick of tasting the tonkotsu style ramen. Now I frequent Ramen Sora when I am in Vegas. Though it is off the strip, it is worth a visit when you want to get away from the buffet filled hotels. The ramen is basic, I usually get the shio ramen. The broth is flavorful but not fatty, and the gyoza is delicious! ramen, gyoza and draft beer and I am all set. It's pretty big restaurant and the service is very fast. Great for a quick bite.

Superb food and service

By Sloop_Jon_B |

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here. There was a 20 minute wait for table so we went next door for a drink, not a problem at all. The food was absolutely delicious and arrived very quickly. The restaurant is very reasonably priced compared to anywhere in central Las Vegas and it's absolutely worth a visit.

Excellent Ramen, Reasonably Priced

By piwasaki |

I have eaten here a dozen or more times over the past two or three years, and on each occasion the food was excellent. In fact, this is my favorite place for ramen in Las Vegas or anywhere else in the States. I usually get the miso ramen. The broth is rich and deep in flavor, and the noodles are always perfectly cooked. The amount they serve is plentiful. Unless I am very hungry, the regular size is sufficient. The prices are very reasonable. Their menu consists primarily of different types of ramen, They have a limited number of other Japanese items such as gyoza, Japanese style curry, fried rice, and chashu bowls. We've had these, and they too, are very good. The curry is especially good. The restaurant is small, and unless you go on the off hours, there is usually a wait. The wait time is not bad though because the tables turn over relatively quickly. I've always found the service to be very good. The staff has always been efficient, cordial, and attentive. The restaurant is a stand alone building which makes finding parking much easier than say, someplace like Ichiza.

Amazing Ramen Ever

By waikit83 |

By far the best meal my wife and I have eaten in Vegas! Cheap delicious fresh and authentic Ramen, Service from the staff was excellent, very polite. The restaurant is small but cosy, at peak times the wait can be around 15-20 + minutes long depending on the size of your party, BUT well worth the wait, you know Ramen Sora will be good when you see people queuing outside (this is what drew us in even before looking on Tripadvisor) our only regret is not ordering the large or super large bowl of Ramen. We still think about the Ramen and experience Ramen Sora left on us. This is truly and unique Ramen House and not to me missed, Well worth the travel!

Ramen Sora - YES

By Raymond F |

My wife is Korean so we have eaten a lot of ramen. I am not talking about the packaged kind, but the real deal. This place exceeded our expectations. It is located in a little strip mall and is hard to find if you are not looking. When we got there, there was a line of folks out of the door. Our wait was about 20 minutes but worth it. The noodles, pork and broth along with the other spices were exceptional. A definite place to visit on our next trip to Vegas. This place is very busy, but don't let that discourage you..worth the wait.

Gold standard for Vegas Ramen

By dumplings_n_grits |

I took my cousin to get some lunch on a saturday. We both had a hankering for ramen and went by Sora. It is the best. Easily one of my favorite (if not my absolute) favorite restaurant to frequent in all of Vegas. Everything about the signature dish is spot on: the noodles, the broth, the toppings. Everything is authentic and just as it should taste if it had come right from the kitchens of some of the best ramen shops in Japan. Trust me I lived in Japan for 3 years and ate ramen almost daily. If you love ramen and you're in Vegas, come and visit Sora. You will not be disappointed. Keep in mind though that the restaurant is pretty small and there is always a line up - so you may have a wait for a bit. But don't worry. It's worth it.

Second Visit!

By ellehcim472 |

This was our second visit to Sora and again it was great! The portions are good and the ramen is hot and flavorful! This is definitely a local spot, which we prefer and it fills up fast. It is a smaller restaurant so seating is limited. The prices are quite reasonable as a bowl of ramen is about 8.00 US. We will continue to keep coming back when we visit vegas!!

Authentic Ramen at Ramen Sora

By Rich7075 |

Ramen Sora is one of my favorite ramen restaurants in Vegas. I’ve been coming here for many years because it’s authentic and just plain good ramen. It’s one of two long standing and popular ramen restaurants in Vegas (the other being Monta Ramen). If you’re looking for authentic Japanese ramen you have to check out Ramen Sora.

Utterly Brilliant Ramen

By Mark M |

I admit to ignorance based on the dried tasteless version of Ramen for 99 cents. So with this background there was trepidation about trying this venue But when life surprises you then you really really take notice. This Ramen is magnificent, for less than $10 you get a culinary masterpiece. Flavors that merge, dance, embrace and fulfill. Forget the strip in Vegas, go to Ramen Sora - it is not far. You will be in culinary heaven. I had Chasu Ramen in miso. Utterly memorable.

Great Vegas Ramen....

By BradleyandMia |

This is our favorite ramen place in Vegas. Small quaint restaurant with simple furnishings. Very polite staff that all say hello when you enter. Spicy Miso is awesome. Beautiful milky off the bone broth with spicy meat, pork etc. You can add lots of extras too. Plus, this place actually has air-conditioning. There are others in Vegas that you die of heat while eating hot soup. We visit often....

Delicious

By Vonana |

I tried their Shoyu Ramen and i loved it! The only downside of is the wait time and i hope they put another table or 2.

Lunch, Dinner or for take away

By Got22Go |

Have come here more than several times for lunch, dinner and for take away to treat ourselves at home. The broth is always flavorful and hot. The noodles are always tender and plentiful. Arriving around 6pm on the weekday you should be seated quickly. Later on the evening on weekends you could expect to wait 20-40 minutes. That's when we call ahead and pick it up.

Warm comfort on a cold day

By Ryo Z |

Recommended by by coworker we stopped here for lunch, being that Ramen sounds really good on a cold day here in Vegas. Prior to arriving, Yelp has a feature to let you know the wait time and to also set a reservation for the number of people you’re with. For us the wait wasn’t long however, my coworker once saw the wait time as long as more than 60 minutes. Social distancing is priority and mask is required. This is quite the little “hole in the wall-esque” but with charm. It reminded me of the saimin houses in Hawaii. There’s indoor seating but also additional seating outside which was created with a couple of tents and table settings (do more with less). The menu is available via QR code at the tables and it’s a very simple menu. Three broth options and of course you can choose additional topping to add for a $1 each. I had the shoyu char sui bowl with side of fried rice & vegetable gyoza. The ramen was good. Plain and simple, the char sui pork was more like braised pork - not the char sui I expected but it was still good. Fried rice had good flavor, tasted better than some other places I’ve been to where it tends to be bland. Gyoza was cooked good well, nice crunch with soft veggie filling. All in all, I can see the appeal here, the food is good, great portions and the wait isn’t very long. I’d definitely come back again and maybe try other menu options. Enjoy! :)

First time ramen

By Michael G |

I am always looking for good food in LV and amazingly, Chinatown rarely disappoints me. I've driven by this small restaurant several times and wondered if this type of ramen offering is the same as the .99 cent quick ramen you buy in a microwaveable cup. I'm now very embarrassed to even mention the two in the same breath. I saw their reviews and decided to stop by during Monday night football. They have a small TV and the foodie experience was so good, I forgot about football for a few minutes. Upon entering, the yell a greeting at you, don't freak out...the staff is very nice, attentive and patient. The place had about a 15 minute wait and from what I understand, it's usually longer. This isn't a place for a large group or I'd imagine you would be waiting for a very long time. I asked my server which was the most popular dish and she pointed at the Deluxe Sora Miso Ramen and a side of gyoza. OMG!! This was probably one of the best "soups" I've ever had! I really didn't know what to expect but on my next visit I vowed to myself to be a little more brave. I'm really anxious to take my family or friends to share in this amazing experience.

Screaming for Vengeance is the bomb

By luvtodive |

i love this place, very small and tight and have to wait for a table most of the time, but the screaming for vengeance with extra super spicy pork and butter and corn is amazing.....i love it, it is addicting for sure.....never had so many flavors in one dish before....fantastic!!!! Oh and its super hot.....

Great place

By ChrisCM |

We had a minimal wait at 2:00pm and we came just in time as a bunch of parties arrived after us. Everything we ordered was good...side fried rice, gyoza, shoyu ramen, miso ramen and the deluxe shoyu ramen. Everything hit the spot on a chilly afternoon. Glad we found this place and will return the next time we're in town.

A must visit place!!

By Derrick1230 |

While I think we waited nearly an hour, the wait was worth it! The butter corn Ramen was delicious. The spicy Ramen was also great. The gyoza was excellent. I found the service to be quick and friendly. I wish they could turn the tables faster, but I highly recommend this noodle shop!! I will be back for sure!

Authentic Ramen in Vegas

By Laurelsan |

This is our second time to the ramen and we love it. This is the closest we have gotten to authentic ramen outside of California. I usually order the miso ramen, which you can order the jumbo size as well. This is run by native Japanese people. The service is quick, efficient, and friendly. The location is close to the China town/Korean towns in Vegas. You can also order gyoza which is delicious as well. I have to say that I didn’t think it was as good the second time as I did the first time, but we still like it! We enjoy stopping here when we are in Vegas!

some good, some bad, overall okay

By DT808 |

The positives, good gyoza, edamane, and shoyu broth. The negatives, "weird" miso broth and bad service. Upon inquiry, they said that they add pepper to their miso, which is nothing I experienced in any other ramen restaurants. The server never came to attend to us, until we finished our meal, and our waters were never filled until we asked at the end. Because the gyoza was good as well as the shoyu ramen, I might give them another try. We were there on a Saturday night at 9:00 p.m.

My New Favorite Ramen House in LV

By royramos0706 |

First time here but not disappointed and good to know I got a new Ramen place to go to next time I'm in town. Place is not that big but service is fast so customer come in then out after eating in 20-30mins. Soup base is delicious, noodles, meats and other ingredients are cooked just right. The Ramen price is inexpensive at under $10 way cheaper than those that I've tried in Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange County SoCal. Highly recommended.

Best Ramen

By Michelle O |

I love this place! This is a hidden gem located off of a busy street in china town. If you blink, you'll miss it. I've eaten in the restaurant once and order take out from them a couple of times a month. I highly recommend the Corn Butter Ramen. I found the service to be great both eat in and for take out. This place is pretty popular so be prepared to wait a little bit for a seat during busy hours. It's a small restaurant so it fills up quick. Definitely worth the wait!!

Fantastic ramen, great flavoursome bowls of goodness will be back again on my next trip to Las Vegas.

Great ramen - okay atmosphere

By abby081 |

We really enjoyed our ramen at Ramen Sora. They have three different kinds of broth; our server recommended with go with the miso. Lots of choices on what to add to the broth. The waitress indicated that spicy is pretty spicy so we passed on it because it was a super warm day and spicy just did not sound as good as usual. The large size is really large. I got the smaller size and it was more than enough. My two dining companions both got the large size and did not even come close to finishing it off. We ordered some charsu pork over rice and it was extremely tasty. The charsu is a pretty fatty style of meat though so it's not for everybody. The restaurant is small and the air conditioning was on the barely tolerable setting on a really hot day. Service was excellent. Our waitress was super nice and attentive.

Authentic Sapporo ramen, good price, pleasant venue

By Eric M |

While living in northern Japan for 6 years, my family and I ate Sapporo-style ramen quite regularly. Since we've been back in the US, we've become used to disappointment in regards to ramen. This was not the case with Ramen Sora. Their miso ramen was authentic and tasty. The place was small and cozy. The gyoza was good as well. If you want the taste and feel of a real Sapporo ramen joint, check out Ramen Sora.

Spicy miso ramen

By bonefish2 |

Although the four of us had delicious ramen at the matsuri at the Rio last nite my friend Mike was hungry for more to fight the slight morning chill. I called my daughter since she had mentioned a great ramen shop that she and her husband had eaten just a week ago. She saidbthey were noted for their miso ramen and she was right on with her advice. I must say, however, that the gyoza was not very tasty, but the ramen's dashi was excellent and the ramen noodles perfectly cooked. We were delighted with our lunch and had to forego our dinner plans that evening with raw oysters and clams at the Orleans with ice cold beer shich was a great way to end our annual reunion in Vegas.

Totemo yoi

By Desert-Reiver |

This quaint Japanese noodle house is very good. Not only is the cuisine very good, but the staff is wonderfully attentive and welcoming. They were intuitively helpful as we struggled with the menu and the eating implements, without being intrusive. We enjoyed a very vocal departure. The austere simplicity of this establishment in our opinion adds to its charm. My wife tells me that we are returning for more ramen. Haggis however is not on their ramen menu.

Authentic Ramen House!! A must try!!

By Mark C |

First of all, these is one of the many best ramen house around Las Vegas. I usually get the XL sora or spicy ramen. I am not sure what's the difference between Japan's ramen but man this place is bomb! It is always busy especially the part of the year, everyone wants a hot noodle for dinner. Get some fried pork rice because sometimes they do run out of rice (Asians don't usually run out lol!). Sometimes they tend to forget about you hence the 4 stars for service I just gave. Parking is ample so keep that in mind. The only odd thing I have notice, I see a Mexican in the pantry and I surely hope he isn't cooking the ramen but then again ramen is good so lol I would not worry. Try this place! O yes, do not forget the mochi ice cream for dessert..

Delicious, Fast, Easy on Pocketbook

By Tommy C |

$25 two Ramen bowls and pork and rice bowl. Great Taste - we had two meals each. Meal was ready when I arrived to pick it up and it was busy and only called 15 minutes in advance.

Worth the visit!

By Darren T |

A short trip off of the Las Vegas Strip. We came here for a late dinner and had to wait around ten minutes before being seated. The wait was worth it and all four of us really enjoyed our meals. The best Ramen I have ever had and Ramen Sora will be a regular stop for us when we are in Las Vegas. Very affordable, for the four of us our meal bill came to $49.00.

Delicious and authentic!

By Ceci H |

My cousin took me and friends to this place and I've never had ramen before...boy it was so delicious I'll never eat pho ever again! I had the miso spicy ramen. Its rich and full of flavor. Spicy but just enough heat. We also had the fried rice, potlucks, & curry (Japanese curry) all also very delicious. And very speedy service! Once you order...poof...5mins later food on the table. Hot and fresh, along with very friendly staff!

Great experience

By Sweet P of Georgia |

This restaurant was totally worth the time we waited to be seated and the extra effort to move away from the strip. Our trip was a group of colleagues and two in our party had never eaten ramen before but were eager to try. Our server was patient and explained the menu and all the options. It’s always appreciated when the time is taken to help someone decide on something they’ve never eaten. The ramen was delicious. The beer was exceptionally cold and the prices were incredibly affordable for the amount of food and drink. We enjoyed our dinner here and it was a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Great Ramen Restaurant

By rpver |

My family arrived in Las Vegas hungry for a ramen dinner. We found Ramen Sora on the Internet and decided to give it a try. We had an excellent meal there. They had a nice but not large selection of ramen dishes on the menu, and all that we tried were excellent. The prices were very reasonable. They don't take reservations. We arrived around six and had no trouble getting a table. However, they became quite busy after we arrived. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Las Vegas.

Good enough

By Mads64 |

This ramen house is good enough. I guess I had to compare it with this other ramen house. The soup in this place is tasty but I have to say not as tasty as the competitor. The noodles are just a bit thicker & doesn't have this distinct taste I was used to. I guess its in the broth. They have a bit more choices of ramen noodles. The place is bigger than the competitor and there is also a wait list. Price wise, this one is about approx. $2 more than the other restaurant; the serving size just a tadbit more. I didn't see any spices or additives (like spicy sesame oil, mashed garlic, soy sauce, pickled ginger....) on the table unlike in the other place.

Get the Miso broth!! Very

By hjcbirdbath |

Get the Miso broth!! Very delicious!! We got appetizers too. Gyoza were tasty. Spicy beef was not too hot. The place is small so you really can’t linger over dinner. It was very busy on a Friday night!

Worth the Wait

By CoffeeGoddess |

After a couple of drinks at the Golden Tiki i decided to take my brother and niece that had never had proper ramen to Ramen Sora since they are just down the street. Even though it was 9pm on a Tuesday night they were packed and we had about a 45 minute wait. Once we were seated however they were quick to get our orders and the food came out fast, hot, and delicious! I can see why they are so popular. Definitely a place I want to return.

outstanding Ramen

By Willy B |

Interesting place, you must know it or someon who knows it to enter it, from outside you cannot imagine how delicious the food is. Go and taste everything

Average Ramen, broth is not great

By drink50fifty |

Ramen Sora in Las Vegas should have an average rating. I read the reviews and I went there to discover that the Ramen is average. You can't trust people who have no clue of what Ramen should taste like, I think this was the case here. The broth is the secret of great ramen soup. The broth at Sora is average and it does not taste unique at all. Only few choices of Rame bowls and that's another indication of poor craftsmanship. No diversity either, all ramen soups look alike. I guess ramen is becoming hip, so every idiot can go try ramen and post a review. The noodles are not fresh, it's like they came out of a package. In general, food in Las Vegas sucks because of who goes to Las Vegas. Next time, I would not trust the menu but my instinct.

Scrumptious ramen

By Moonlight |

A quick stop for a hot bowl of ramen. Piping hot broth with noodles done just right. The fried rice is good too. The place can get busy, but people do move in and out quickly, so it is worth the wait. Just don't expect top notch service or exceptional atmosphere.

Good Ramen, avoid high-peak meal times

By Jeremy Z |

I come here once a month and I always enjoy coming here. I will warn you that this place is small and you will probably have to wait in line (maybe 15 min?). Lunch times are also busy during the weekday. The service is quick as they are trying to get people in and out because of the small size of the restaurant. I wouldn't expect 5 star service, but they are busy and will make sure your needs are met. I always get the Chashu Ramen with Miso. The food comes out very fast and has lots of flavor. Keep in mind that this food will have a lot of sodium. I will continue to come back as I have always had a good meal here.

Hands-down the BEST Ramen

By TSKF |

My family and I LOVE Ramen Sora! The service is top-notch and the food is even better. We have eaten here more in the past year of living in Vegas than any other of our favorite restaurants around the country combined. It is consistently delicious and lives up to the high expectation they have set every time. We have two picky eaters and they both devour the Miso Ramen. If you need something for a family dinner, friend meet-up, or date night and love amazing food, go to Ramen Sora!

Good Ramen

By Benson W |

Order the tonkasu ramen and it was very tasty. Should have added a couple extras items such as egg, pork, etc. but was in a rush. The goyza was good, but took them too long to cook. Small place with very little seating. Will come back next time we are in Vegas.

Awesome noodles

By Jackdaniels73 |

I am by no means an expert in ramen but we visited here last night and the noodles were awesome. Nice and very noodles with a perfect spicy miso broth. The charsui was was flavorful and the spicy pork was so good. I am definitely going back for the bowl of vengeance.

Delicious Ramen in Las Vegas

By Yatriguru |

We had Miso Ramen and Shoyu Ramen. Both were delicious. The broth was right, the noodles cooked perfectly. All was fresh and yummy. We recommend this place. Service was good. This is a popular and busy place, so there might be a wait. Japanese beer is available, such ad Sapporo snd Kirin

Best ramen I've had!!

By Maintenance_moist |

This place is down right the best in my opinion! The restaurant is really small but that's what makes it so great! One thing that does get a little bothersome is the seats.. They can be a little hard as they are only a thin cushion on a wooden bench or chair. That's really not that big of a deal at the end of the day and I wouldn't label it really as a complaint but more as a bother. The soup is... Damn it's good! It's filling and it just feels right! Anytime I am in Vegas I make it a point and almost a priority to eat at Ramen Sora and you should too!! I'm out!!!

Good place for Lunch

By StratManLou |

The spicy Ramen is to die for, washed down with Asahi.... My lunch mates ordered the Miso Ramen and they said it was excellent. Service is quick and efficient, place is clean even with a major throughput of customers. Would not go there for dinner as the waiting time may take 1hr before a table is freed.

Very Good Ramen

By Edgar I |

We wanted to go to another Ramen place on the same street, but it was sooo crowded and several people were lined outside waiting as well. We decided to try this restaurant and were not disappointed. The flavor of the shoyu ramen was typical flavor you can taste in Japan. Kudos to the chef who maintained the real taste of ramen. Another must visit again when in Las Vegas!

Tasty Ramen

By aloha68 |

This was our first visit and we will be going back. We tried the Spicy and Miso. Both were very good! The spicy definitely has a kick to it, but a good kick. The miso broth as unique but very good, I must say. The gyoza was good, but nothing spectacular. I guess if I had a negative it would be the long lines. But again, that must mean that they are doing something right.

Delicious Ramen

By April L |

This place was great. It was our first time here and we were welcomed with a nice greeting and was lucky that we didn't have to wait very long for a table because we were hungry. I ordered the deluxe ramen which has everything in it except corn in extra large size. It was pretty huge. The service was great. Keep in mind that the place is small. I would say a capacity of maybe 30-35 people?

Tasty, minimal variety

By Jane N |

They offer ramen with 3 different types of broth. We asked to sample and were told that isn't possible. So you're making it from scratch every time? I had the miso with green onions. It was tasty, but not the best I've ever had. There isn't much for variety- more pork, less pork, more green onion, less green onion, add butter, add corn.

Best Ramen in town!

By Jose E |

Went to grab a quick lunch. We're there at around 3 pm waited for almost half an hour and made a mistake of ordering a small portion. We will be back soon! We love it and the wait is worth it!

Great Ramen!

By RRS013 |

Every time I visit Vegas I make it a point to visit two eatery places: a ramen place and a pho place. I passed by Ramen Sora several times and finally decided to try it. To my surprise, it was quote good! I ordered the Ramen Deluxe. Note that there are two sizes, regular and large. I opted for the large thinking it was going to be a smaller size plus I can eat! To my surprise the large was quite large! The flavors were pretty on point with nice slices of pork belly. If you're looking for a really good ramen place, I recommend Ramen Sora.

Best Ramen in the USA outside of Hawaii

By Roland I |

We were here for a family vacation in Vegas. On our second day we were looking for some quick, cheap and good food. We remembered eating at Ramen Sora before but this was several years ago. The food was even better then we remembered. The gyoza is the best we have ever had and as good as you could get in Japan! This is not the healthiest food and not great for vegetarians but they tried to accommodate as best as they could ( the broth does have a pork base). The Deluxe Sora Ramen was so good I am even drooling now remembering it. Two of our crew tried the Spicy Ramen which was very good. Just a warning the the portions are very large and most people would be more then happy with the regular size. If you get side dishes such as the gyoza or fried rice you should not get the large size! (I did and only managed to eat 3/4 of it). This is a very reasonably priced place and is a must if you want quick, cheap and very good food. I will make this a must stop every time I go back to Vegas

Everyday

By Lorrie Ann S |

Yes, indeed! I could eat there everyday! There is always a line in the evening in our experience. Sometimes short sometimes long. No line at opening time. Order deluxe and prepare to be hooked forever!

Unfair to ask if it was one of the "best" meals I have ever had since I am new to the Ramen culture

By RandR1948 |

My only experience of this type of cuisine is my buying some Ramen fixings on line. But...this was great. Great broth, firm noodles and a nice selection of toppings. I slurped away and greatly enjoyed it. Just sad that I can't get it in Florida!!!

In the mood for ramen

The place is really packed after 7. We stepped in at 6 and waiting about 15 mins for our table. The gyozas were very good! You pick your ramen soup base - two of us picked the miso soup base and one of us picked the shio soup base. The consistency of the miso soup base was too thick and very heavy - almost like a curry. Two of ya could not finish the miso soup base and almost felt sick. The shio soup base was very light and nice but tasted more like chicken soup. We love ramen and this was pretty disappointing.

Ramen Magic Revisted

By jkm |

As I began to submit this review, Tripadvisor reminded me that I had already reviewed Ramen Sora which is why I begin this way. Ramen Sora is our favorite ramen restaurant in town and it's good enough to get two 5 star reviews from me. It's located across the street from my house, obviously making it incredibly convenient but I always know that there will be a line. I don't like to wait. People may find that selfish of me, but I choose not to. I mention that because I never mind waiting for Ramen Sora. They have a sign in sheet, which I saw only had three in front of us. It seems more traditional with the seating, meaning, you may be sitting at a long rectangular table with a couple other parties if you don't mind. We sat after about ten minutes and were served within five. We always order the same three things a pork belly bowl with rice to split, Killer Spicy Ramen, and Spicy Ramen.. Always more than we can eat, which is downstairs now, but delicious on a level that you savor every last bite. You have many options that range from what you'd like in your ramen, to the type of broth you prefer. It's a made to order dose of smiles and full tummies. Try it out if you ever visit the two block range of Las Vegas' China Town.. It's well worth the wait and make sure to have a chilled glass of ice and a cold can of oolong tea.. The creamy melon soda is a must for me too.. It's a vice.

Very good!

Like most everyone else has said, this place is a little small but with good atmosphere and very good food/prices. This place will be a staple for us along with Kung Fu for Thai food when we're in Vegas. We usually come here two or three times a month.

Best Ramen Ever

My wife and I visited for the first time tonight and the food was delish! The best ramen noodles of my life. Add inexpensive, fast and friendly service and this restaurant cannot be beat.

Volleyball and Ramen Oishi!!

By 4bernales |

The girls had a hard practice tonight, and when asked what they wanted for dinner...Ramen Sora! Is what's for dinner. When we walked in, it was super busy... about a 30min wait. It went pretty fast, thou when you have 2 teenagers. I ordered the spicy ramen with miso, and the girls had the Chasui Ramen. Our server was fast and efficient and a wonderful, mid 40s Japanese lady. It was the perfect way to end the night. Goodnight everybody.

This has to be the best ramen

This has to be the best ramen restaurant!! On a trip last month, I went 3 times. A bit of a wait for table, but worth it. Staff all friendly.

Best ramen in Las Vegas

By Shelle702 |

My favorite place for Sapporo style ramen. Love their spicy miso ramen broth. The noodles are thick, chewy & delicious. Charsiu is tender and melts in your mouth.

Sora Ramen Noodles

By Cielovegas |

Ramen Sora is located in Las Vegas' Chinatown which is filled with diverse Asian restaurants. No reservations are ever taken at Sora and you'll find it busy at all hours, especially during lunch hours and holidays. Seating is limited and there is family style type seating if you don't mind eating at a table with strangers. Sora is known for their light and smooth broth and noddles, try the shio broth. Sora is rated has one of the top 10 noodle restaurants in the Las Vegas Valley and I have been a fan for several years. Sora also serves a few Japanese side dishes with beer and sake. Try the gyoza - the puffy pork/onion dumplings. The great thing is that you can have a full meal for about $10.

Disappointed

By lynhdan |

Came in on Xmas eve. I was very disappointed with the service. Our server, a Japanese lady in her early forties with a heavy accent was rude. Since this is my first time dining at this establishment, I had questions about the menu. I asked her what are differences in broth and she told me to read it in the menu, it’s in English. We ordered, ramen deluxe, spicy ramen, small curry bowl and mix appetizer dish. The ramen was ok, nothing to rave about. The curry bowl was a total bust. The rice was super mushy. Despite of the bad service and the subpar food, we still gave a generous tip. Sorry, I won’t be returning.

Awesome food but small joint

By Jon L |

For those who said that broth is not great, I wanna see them cook this dish. Its slightly rich but that's how an authentic Japanese ramen is like just like in Japan. I love it but hate that we had to wait for 40 mins just to get a table. You guys need to move to a bigger place

Authentic Ramen Noodle House

By FUN-RX |

My daughter has lived in Japan and she claims that this is what the noodles in Japan taste like. The broth is rich and full bodied, or light, while the noodles can be thick and chewy, (depending on the type of noodles u order). The sign of a good establishment would be the line waiting to get in. At first we passed by there on our way to a Pho place, wh/was closed. So we tried this placed, it was late & pretty full but the wait was not long. The menu made it ez to order, +the waitress help explained the dishes. We went w/her advice, it seemed like a fun place w/Japanese hipster music playing +the waitress yelling ea time a new customer is seated w/a reply from the chefs. Indeed a fun place to chow down, we went there 3x in 3 days for lunches & dinner.

Great Ramen

By Mimi L |

It was a total surprise to find a good and inexpensive ramen in Vegas. I am from San Francisco and we have tons of ramen that are as good but probably more expensive. This place was recommended from a waitress from Raku and it did not disappoint me. Now, I learn to ask the locals on where they eat. Love the Miso favor, not too salty, the noodles was chewy and right on texture. Definitely worth a second visit when I am in town

Great Ramen in Las Vegas!

By dreamer8313 |

This restaurant is located in Chinatown and it seems to be very busy. We came here during the CES convention and there were many CES attendees with their badges at the restaurant, and that may explain the 35-min wait to get a table. When we finally got the table, we were seated on the communal table alongside other 10 people, so it was 12 of us on the big table, which was actually pretty fun. Miso Ramen was really good and the server brought it out less than 5 minutes after ordering it, so once you get a table, the service is quick. Will definitely come back to this restaurant!

I cannot say this is the best Ramen in the world, but this Ramen was the best food I had in America.

By Maguder D |

First of all the noodles themself has deep and real taste which Japanese would love to eat and this restaurant boils andd finishes the noodles in the best condition== Ramen noodles are not so easy to boil in this good condition even if they had real good material. I was impressed that SORA serves always ideally boiled Ramen noodles. Second point The soup for noodles is not too salty like other Japanese restaurant serves === for Americans you need to put more salt,,, ( Monta= NO1 famous and popular in Las Vegas as Ramen restaurant serves way more salty Ramen= so I was disappointed at Monta. Sora serves real Japanese Ramen with deep taste of Sapporo style=Sapporo is the capital city of the north island (hokkaidou). I can recommend this restaurant for everyone exept for those who love Mac and Monta=which means who prefer just very salty food cannot appreciate SORA's real good taste.)

Best Ramen

By TheLeongOhana |

Since eating at Ippudo in Kyoto we have been looking for another great ramen place in the US. Unfortunately we found it but it is in Las Vegas. Get there early as they take no reservations and lines are long and seating is limited. Service is fast and efficient so once you get seated you won't have to wait too long to enjoy the food. We ordered the deluxe ramen sora and the soup, ramen and chasu were delicious.

Amazingly delicious authentic ramen

By jnvegasfoodie |

My husband and I went here on the advice of a vegas native and we are so happy we went. It is seriously delicious! We both had the miso ramen bowl which was excellent and its served with wonderful pork belly, a yummy egg and seaweed. We also shared an order of pork fried rice (which was some of the best pork fried rice I’ve ever had). This is very authentic and nothing like the crap you find on the grocery store shelf. Its located in china town just west of the strip. Its a small restaurant with limited seating, and the beverages come out of a can (I ordered oolong iced tea and they brought out a can of it with a glass full of ice). However, the tea was really good and the food was so fantastic that I didn’t care about canned beverages. Overall, I highly recommend going here! I know me and my husband will be back soon!

My favorite Ramen spot in Vegas

This is my go to spot for him and when I’m in Vegas I never miss a visit when I’m in town always fantastic always busy but well worth the wait

WOW !!! Fantastic authentic Ramen in Vegas

By lostinatlanta |

This restaurant is well off the strip in Asia town in Vegas. It is a 10 minute drive from the strip. If you have a car or are willing to take a cab, you have to try this place. When we went it was full of Japanese business people. The restaurant staff is extremely friendly and the food was awesome. We will definitely be back.

Best Ramen in Las Vegas

Yes, Sora Ramen is one of the best, if not THE BEST Ramen house in Las Vegas. It is small and very clean with Traditional Japanese Ramen dishes served. A+A+A+A+A+A+

Amazing Ramen

By Justice H |

This was our second visit to Ramen Sora and it was just as good as the first! I got the Shoyu Ramen and shared Pork Fried Rice. They have the option of a regular or large size bowl but the regular is still very filling. This place is always busy and we went for lunch and were seated within 5 minutes. We will definitely be back!

OMG the best!

I love ramen and I love Ramen Sora the most. Always tasty and the best. Well with the wait for the ramen. Highly recommend the mini curry bowl too!!!

My favorite ramen spot in Vegas

By dumplings_n_grits |

I used to live in Japan and ramen is one of my favorite foods of all time. I say this to give you a point of reference to my opinion. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Just like real Tonkotsu Ramen in Japan: the noodles, the broth, the toppings are all very authentic and delicious. For $10 you can get a deluxe Sora Ramen which is a big ample bowl topped with Chashu pork belly, seaweed, bamboo shoots, soft boiled egg, green onion, and ginger. You can get other toppings (or more of some of what is already on there), but really the Deluxe has everything you need to immerse yourself in real Ramen. Every time I come to Vegas I visit Sora at least twice to get my fill. As a bonus, get a mini Chashu bowl as an appetizer. It's a delicious little rice dish and the perfect way to get yourself ready for the main event: the Ramen.

Great Ramen Again

By aloha68 |

Came back here on a return trip and wasn't disappointed at all. Loved it the first time and loved it again. Had the large deluxe with miso. So good! The broth makes anything in the bowl great.

Clearly a locals place.

By BeachWizard4U |

This is not a restaurant that you'd just blindly walk into. There's nothing on the outside, nor inside for that matter, that says, "C'mon in." Except that when you're inside you see that this is where the local Asians come for a ramen meal. Our friends brought us here because they had eaten here before on the recommendation of a Japanese friend. The staff are very friendly and the ramen came quickly. Ours was delicious. Perfect on a cold winter's night.

Ramen noodles !!!

By MLAbug |

Love the oodles of noodles they add if you order the next larger sized bowl! They don’t skimp! What do we love? The ramen texture - just right! The pork - yum the tenderness just falls of your chopsticks, the broth - not too salty and just right! Perfect combination for a bowl of ramen! Would definitely come back! Noticed that the restaurant posted a lot of warnings on car break ins so be careful!

Not our cup of soup

By westie2 |

This was the first time we have had ramen so we were fortunate to have a waiter who walked us through the various options. My wife chose shoyu ramen which had a slightly funky taste (too much fish sauce?) while I opted for chasu miso ramen. The pork was melt in your mouth good and the noodles were chewy, but neither of us are likely to order ramen again

Ramen is great!

By sfarland |

The ramen was so absolutely delicious. I honestly wish I got the large bowl and not the regular because it was so good. I highly recommend as the options are amazing and I would definitely come back.

Some of the best Ramen I've had

By BackinthUK |

I've ate ramen in Japan, I've ate it in Hawaii and now I've ate it in Vegas and this unassuming little restaurant, in the middle of Las Vegas "Chinatown" is close to the best I've had, so good in fact, I returned two days in a row. Restaurant is super clean and nice. Service is good, it gets a little busy at lunch but seems to clear quite fast. Menu is simple (choose your type of broth - I prefer shoyu), choose a type (different flavours) or the everything special and get a standard size unless you have a really big appetite. Broth was great, loved the egg in it, noodles have good bite and texture but boy, that char sui pork ... I've never had it like that before (get an extra portion added to your soup!!). It literally melts in your mouth, delicious. Ready to get re-hydrated? Head here.

Post-performance comfort

By FadedFoodie |

Arriving at 10:30pm, it's the 1st of a few visits with the line not out the door and actually being seated. Casual, true Japanese-style, sitting at a common table - you can sneak a look at your neighbor's order. Satisfying broth flavors, ample serving, post-performance satisfying. Closed at 11pm

Best Japanese in Vegas

By Nomadnz |

Best Japanese I've had in quite some time in the united states. Very authentic and super friendly. Had a variety of dishes , go visit if your in Vegas and want to get away from the strip

Excellent and Homey

By buddhaauthor |

Quality broth and nicely toothsome noodles. Just want you want in ramen. Rich but not super rich tonkotsu. Nice complexity. Fantastically tender chashu (and quite a generous serving). I got the "Screaming for Vengeance" spicy version as a bit of a lark. Yes, extremely spicy but I could still enjoy the underlying flavors. I probably would just get the regular spicy version in the future, but it was fun to go for the gusto. $7.50 to $10 a bowl, friendly, easy parking, no pretensions. And only ten minutes from craziness of the Strip. Highly recommended.

Great Ramen!!!

By AdvisorOntario |

Surprised there are so few reviews here given the great ramen served here and the friendly service. I needed a quick meal last night and this was the place. I also had a side of their fried rice which was tasty and decent in serving size. If you are looking for good ramen at a very reasonable price I suggest Ramen Sora!!

Now this is Ramen!!

By Shong B |

At first I thought it'll just be another basic Ramen place, but I thought wrong. This should probably be the top Ramen place in Las Vegas. Their Ramen is soft but chewy, and it melts in your mouth. Their seasoned eggs and chasu are succulent. customer service is great too. There is not much else I can say about a good place but to try it for yourself. Happy eating!

Sapporo ramen in Las Vegas Chinatown

By DYA717 |

The best ramen I’ve had a quite a while. Very good service. You have a choice of miso, shoyu or shio based soup. I had the miso spicy ramen with extra green onions which was medium spicy hot, just right for my palette.

THE BEST RAMEN!

By Gremmy727 |

So up till I tried Ramen Sora, Santouka in Los Angeles was my favorite. Unfortunately, Ramen Sora has now usurped that position. We had dinner there Monday, 12/19 (got there around 4:30PM and there was already a line of about 6 groups). The husband got the regular chashu ramen with shio broth, and I got the deluxe ramen with shio broth. Also ordered the gyoza and the grilled pork belly. Skip the gyoza, as it's not homemade - plain and generic. Nothing wrong with them, just nothing really right about them either. The grilled chashu was good, but seeing as we had the same dish at Sora's sister restaurant Hachi the night before, which specializes in izakaya, it was no contest as to whose version was better (Hachi by a mile). The ramen was sooooooo good, we decided to order 2 large orders of the chashu ramen to go, along with an order of the pork fried rice. We had the to-go order for dinner the next night and it was still deeeeeeeeeeeeelicious. I can't wait to go back!!

You will need to wait for a table but totally worth it

By Diana H |

I went here with my Japanese friends and they absolutely adored it. Small, not very fancy but very authentic. They use Sapporo ramen. You might want to Google it to understand the quality you'll get here. The pork belly melted in my mouth. If this is your first time, try the deluxe miso ramen. Enjoy!

Good portion, tasty broth,

Good portion, tasty broth, busy, but not a long wait. Quick service, attentive staff. Simple menu. Well done! I’d come back.

Tradional Ramen Noodle House

By Grasper |

This is a favorite place for many locals. They serve everyone, singles, families and couples alike. The food is great and they have a variety of beverages. Other review sites hold them highly. While there are others with higher reviews, the waiting times at those places are incredibly long. I've never had to wait more than five to ten minutes for a table. The take-out menu is the same as the eat-in menu. I highly recommend this place. It's easy to get to as it's on the corner of Spring Mountain Rd & Eton St.

Customer service was so rude

By Obbie818 |

The whole crew of Ramen Sora this date January 19 around 6:30 pm were all rude. We came there by this time 6:30 and they told us the wait will be approximately like 35 mins. So we patiently waited but then it was almost 50 mins. or more we again approached this guy by the name of IAH and instead of being nice he was so rude to us the way he explained you can tell if it was politely explained or being sarcastic and rude. The kids even said " why are they doing that". If given the chance please have the management know about this. It's not all about food all the time although we know they really have good food but leaving so hungry waiting for nothing that's a different story. My name is Carolina Centeno please contact me at 702-217-3411.

千歳空港で食べたあの味!almost the same quality with a ramen which I ate in Hokkaido, Japan

By AK08 |

チャーシューを冷やしているのか、その冷たさを拾ってややぬるめのスープ。ただ味はかなり千歳で食べた味と一緒かな。 Almost the same taste with one which I had in Sapporo airport in the past except the temperature of the soup.

Ramen Perfection

By jkm |

I am a huge fan of ramen, and my boyfriend and I had decided to give this tiny little joint a try. Now let me tell you something.... What a little treasure. It's very small with the parking in the back, and a side door. You come in to a welcome of sweet people who greet you with a loud but nice "welcome" in japanese. It's not a large menu but the items on it will definitely fulfill you. They give you choices on what type of broth you'd prefer.. and miso is always my favorite. My boyfriend raved about the spiciest one on the menu and ate it like there was no tomorrow. What I can tell you is this, if you're in town, and feel the need for some ramen, this is the only place to go. I was so full off of my bowl, but it was so very delicious that I couldn't stop eating it. Another night we returned but there was a twenty minute wait and we just didn't feel like waiting so we went somewhere else.. What a mistake that was. Though the second choice was clean and pleasant, after one bite we knew nothing could compare to Ramen Sora.. We even bought the t-shirts... No Ramen No life. If you get the chance, make the time.. It's well worth your palette.

Wow

By Austin S |

First time having Ramen made by a chef. I brought two friends and our bill was only 40 bucks including house sake. I had never had ramen not from the package, so this was a huge step up. I loved the seaweed addin gave a really good fishy flavor. You get three types of broth we went with the middle one. Chao sou I think. I had the deluxe, and my wife had the butter corn. She loved it. It was quick coming out from the kitchen as well. If I am back in vegas with people I will make sure to go there to show them the great food. I am now a ramen convert!

what a nice change

By ktdelosreyes |

Our daughter lives in Vegas and when we visit she tries to take us to a local place and Ramen Sora was this trips choice and it was a great choice. We love soups especially with noodles and the broth was really flavorful. The restaurant is small and you might have to wait for a table, but well worth the wait. The wait staff was very helpful with the menu choices, we loved it all and will return on our next trip.

Best saimin/ramen/noodles in the west!

By veektorreeyah |

My friend from Japan took us here for dinner and it was delicious! Food came out fast and service was great. Portions are large for the price. GET THE GYOZA, best gyoza of my life. Will definitely be eating there again.

Best miso ramen

By Kiana Q |

Best miso ramen in Vegas! It's always pretty busy, but we get lucky to be seated so quickly each time. Service is great and fast. The miso ramen with fukujinzuke is one of my favorite combos ever. Parking lot is very small, but usually we find one.

BEST RAMEN Shop in Vegas!

By HungryAran |

Even Japanese locals in Vegas say it is the best Ramen in town. My favorite Ramen is the Deluxe Sora Ramen, Shio based.

Good ramen

By Ichione |

My second visit to Sora ramen, good parking, nice set up, right pricing. The only problem is the soup abit salty. Good size serving.

Like

By Draghignazzo |

Luckily no wait to be seated. Food arrived quick. Honestly not very comfortable seating but the flavors made up for that.

The only worthy is the spicy

By 一鸣 贾 |

1. Less tasty than Ippudo. 2. The soup is sort of underline, I mean it just uncovers the most part of ramen. 3. The spicy, can be named as signature, is expressive. 4. No typical tonkusto here.

Authentic Japanese and Affordable

By NFca |

Ate here on a recent visit to Las Vegas. Not too far from the strip, not a walkable distance, at 4490 Spring Mountain Rd. Small, stand alone location with an authentic Japanese ambiance and dining. Prices are quite good, (about $8.00) with a nice selection of noodle bowls. Very good choice if you like noodles. I would definitely chose this location again.

Fantastic ramen-everything explain well on menu

By KristinalynRN |

Fantastic ramen served by friendly folks!! Had the miso base with pork belly and green onions. Yummy!!! Regular size was perfect to fill me up. The other two sizes are HUGE! Had cans of soda, not fountain soda-but it was a cold Pepsi so I was pleased! Would certainly go back here again!

Solid ramen

By Tiffany |

Went with friends after a night on the strip. Got there as they were closing and we were the last ones allowed in. Had about a 10-15 minute wait. There were four of us and we all ordered a miso base. The ramen was good but not the best I've ever had. I prefer Monta Ramen.
