Quick weekend getaway from Austin for my birthday, we were staying at The Adolphus right across the street. We started off with calamari and the bruschetta, YUMMY! I had the steak and my Husband ordered the tortellini. I have never eaten so much! The service was impeccable, they have a full bar and excellent cocktails. We didn't want to leave so we ordered tiramisu and port to finish off the perfect evening. Thank you for such a wonderful dinner, we will be back very soon!

Came into Dallas to conduct some deposition and while staying at the Marriott home suites, found Ravenna - a little Italian restaurant in the middle of Dallas. THE BEST PIZZA BY THE SLICE. They make a pizza and almost cook it and when you arrive or call in they make your slice the way you like it. Stay for a drink. Don't hurry off, sit at the bar, have a "reasonable priced drink" ( really ) and chat with the owner. The pizza ( and I'm sure the food) is to die for and this quant corner restaurant is a great place to be in downtown Dallas.

The food and service at the little spot in downtown Dallas is always wonderful. The owner greets you at the door. Most of the staff have been here for years. On my last visit I had the Caprese Salad with Burrata. Fabulous! Whenever I stay in downtown Dallas this a must go to restaurant for me.

I enjoyed two meals at this restaurant while at a conference. The service was very good and the food was excellent. I enjoyed the neighborhood bar-type atmosphere and was very comfortable.

I enjoyed the salmon special, but my husband was rather disappointed to find his lasagne wasn't baked in the oven. The eine was ok but nothing special and considering the price, we decided not to go back while in Dallas

We arrived in Dallas and immediately sought out a good Italian restaurant. Our concierge suggested Ravenna's and we were not disappointed. It was 2 to 3 blocks from the Omni Hotel. Their service was excellent, the food was very good and the prices were mid range. I couldn't find the garlic, butter and shrimp dish I was hungry for but it wasn't a problem as the chef made exactly what I wanted. My husband ordered the Bolognese dish and raved about it! Again the service was first rate which made the dining experience worth 5 stars!

Bartender was good while he was there! Food was very subpar, chicken parm had a sweet sauce which I despise! Owner sat in the corner typing away on his I pad! Bartender went outside after I was served and that was it, no one came up to me until I waved another guy down! Napkin smelled like a wet dog! Not a good Italian restaurant at all but then again I am picky when it comes to Italian food! Just my opinion!

Friendly wait staff. Prompt service. Excellent suggestions on wine & food to order. We were a big group and they seated us right away.

We were a large party and while they did a great job getting the food out to us pretty much at the same time, the food was just not good. Temperature was perfect, quality was good, but it seems like there was absolutely no seasoning at all.

We had dinner here on Saturday, November 24. When we arrived, there were about 4 tables full, the rest of the tables were empty. We were seated right on top of another table in an area of the dining room that was extremely dark. I asked the hostess if we could be moved to near a window where there was more light. She turned around and said that is a table for six and you don’t have six, and she walked away. So we were right by this group of young ladies that were enjoying their evening in conversation and at a table that we couldn’t see the menu and couldn’t really see well what we were eating. And, not one more table filled the entire time that we were there.....so would it have mattered if we were at a table where there was more light but maybe more chairs? I think that either the lighting or the hostess needs work. Our food was fine and our server was nice. I would have given a much higher rating if the hostess had allowed us to move.

Recently I was in Dallas for a month, I stayed at a hotel not even a block from Ravenna so I would frequent there a fair amount. The food was great, by far the best pizza I had while in Dallas, the drinks were amazing as well, get an Old Fashioned made with Bullet Rye, superb I promise you if you enjoy whiskey. Service was always spot on in my opinion and I have been in the food industry for over ten years now so I am a bit critical.

Service and Food were exellent, Recommend the Chicken Linguine with Pesto, they also had Gluten free pasta options, and all at a very reasonable price

Friendly waiter(s), food ok (we had pasta only), but price/performance limited. I would not get back there again

I've had dinner at the Ravenna several times while in Dallas. The chicken piccata is quite good, and the wine list is good if not very extensive. The service is goid, although the tables are quite close together. It's pretty good value for the money.

We dropped by for a shared dish after a failed dinner earlier in the evening. We were both hungry, but not for a full meal. The waiter was very nice and recommended several specials, we settled on a ravioli dish stuffed with several blended meats with a light vodka cream sauce, They slpit the plate for us and we savored the flavors. Amazing. Our only regret was not having enough of an appetite to try the Lobster Ravioli or the Eggplant Rolatini. Worth a repeat visit on an empty stomach.

Visited Ravenna on my first night in Dallas. Delicious appetiser of Eggplant Involtini with a side salad was all I needed. Service was good and I hope to return during my stay as the menu is excellent.

We enjoyed the restaurant, bit pricey, but good. We split a dinner and added a salad, had 1 glass of wine and it was over $40...

I was staying nearby and decided to take a stroll to find a place for lunch. When I went in and sat at the bar, I was immediately greeted warmly. The waitress was friendly and helpful in recommending a pasta dish with 5 different kinds of seafood (clams, shrimp, mussels, etc.) simmered in a perfect white wine garlic sauce. It was a great lunch and, with a glass of red wine, only $24 for an excellent meal. I appreciated not only the delicious food but also the service, which was first-rate. I definitely would recommend Ravenna for lunch or dinner and may stop back before I leave town.

During our trip we came here twice. Once for a team lunch and once for a early dinner. Both times I was impressed with the food. I had the lasagna (which was light and delicious) and the cod. The servers were very patient with our large group. And the second time that I came back I was served by Adam who was simply “the best”.

We stopped here because it was pouring rain. It was a little early for dinner 4:30 but since it was pouring we stayed. The waiter was very accommodating to my two grand daughters. They shared a lasagna which looked very good. They didn't let me taste it. I had the special of the day which was a crab manicotti with gorgonzola sauce. It was good but not fantastic. I have probably unreasonable standards because I've studied both historic and modern pasta making in Brescia and Bologna. I prefer very fresh and light ingredients. As I said this is a classic American style Italian restaurant. For dessert we had the New York cheesecake which my grand daughters loved (me not so much but again I make them. Most people would think it was great) I had the tiramisu which was classic. I don't remember the other dessert, the girls were not into sharing. LOL. I probably won't go back, not because it wasn't good but because I don't care for this style of Italian food. Perhaps this review will convince you to go there because you do enjoy this style! The server was very nice to us.

We were the only ones in there and the waitress "screamed" instead of talking...the food "taste" was good...but presentation was not good. Only one waitress..the next night my friend from Milan, Italy asked for a side of pasta and they brought a plate of boiled pasta with nothing on it.

Quaint little corner restaurant, that packs a whole lotta wow! We were taken care of as soon as we stepped in. The bruschetta was fabulous, my husband had the stuffed manicotti. Very rich and creamy. I had the salmon drizzled with a balsamic, spinach tomato salad, and sautéed shrimp. The tiramisu was spot on. Definitely be back to this spot!

There were 6 of us for dinner. The hostess and wait staff were very nice and attentive. All 6 of us were very happy with our meals choices. Would return on our next visit to Dallas.

A nice little restaurant with some outdoor seating available. Decor was upscale and the service and servers fit with that image. I had a daily special, linguini fra diavolo with shrimp for $19.95. The pasta was clearly made in house and the sauce was files with small pieces of tomato. I'm used to shrimp in this dish being pan fried; these were grilled and that definitely improved the taste. Unfortunately, I also expect a fra diavolo sauce to have some kick to it; this was rather bland and disappointing. The number and size of shrimp were good, but the quantity of pasta was not, and thus, only an average rating.

Entire family enjoyed their food! We ordered linguini with clams, eggplant Parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs. Bread was very good. Calamari was good but could use a little more seasoning.

Had a lovely meal here and was impressed with the service and the quality of local Italian. Great pasts dishes made a nice change from the other more USA style eating houses typically fried chicken, hamburgers and steak . In contrast this was lovely fresh lasts and sauces with lovely wines and quiet table service very good value too.. Loved it

Great little Italian restaurant! Friendly fast service, food was outstanding! If I’m ever in this area again, I’m coming back.

As a large group, we liked the chicken pesto, shrimp, clam seafood pastas, lobster ravioli, and Salmon entree. However be aware that this is an upscale restaurant and things are expensive here. Waiting staff were very friendly and helpful.

We went to a late dinner around 8:00 pm. The restaurant is rather small with a bar along one side of the room. The restaurant was warm and cozy on a cool night and the Mavericks were playing the Rockets in round one of the playoffs on the TV behind the bar. I ordered the special which included three broiled shrimp and two manicotti shells filled with crab meat, cheese, mushrooms and pecans. The manicotti were covered in a cream sauce. My daughter ordered a magherita pizza. She had a sprite and I had a tea and neither of us had desert. Dinner came with pretzel shaped bread sticks. Dinner was tasty but the manicotti had way too much sauce on the plate. The pizza was very good. Service was excellent as, Juan, the waiter would keep the pizza warm near the over and bring it back to the table when we wanted another serving. My key issue was the price which turned out to be $65 before tip and seemed like a lot for what we ordered. I am not sure I would come back not because anything was bad but because there are so many other dinner choices in downtown Dallas.

This place was right around the corner from our hotel. The prices are slightly more than what you would find at Olive Garden but it’s more authentic. The service was efficient and friendly. The sauce is really good!

Our hotel bar tender told us about this place that was within walking distance so we decided to check it out. My wife had the filet which was cooked exactly as requested. It was very tender and tasty! I had a crab stuffed manicotti with shrimp which was also very good. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is although the shrimp tasted good, they were over-cooked. It is a little pricey but not out of line.

Birthday meal , really friendly staff, not over dressed premises but food totally makes up for it. The linguine with clams awesome!! Gin cocktail gimble is strong but tastes lovely. Lovely birthday candle in the dessert nice touch . Really authentic Italian not over sauced as some typical American can be. Very enjoyable food. Quick service good price .

Very good restaurant with a hearty dish, the staff was very friendly and the service rather fast. If you want to eat Italian on Dallas, I recommend!

The food was delicious definitely 4 Stars from the Sunday Salad with meatballs to the bread to the pasta. Only thing felt like the space needs a little refresh. Would give the atmosphere 3 Stars. Feels a little bit run down. Service was good. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Would probably do takeout next time

Our hotel concierge recommended it, and we were very pleased. The food and service were excellent, and the restaurant was very attractive. It is in easy walking distance of most of downtown Dallas.

I went to Revanna for dinner at around 9:30 PM on a Sunday night after getting into Dallas because it was near the dreadful hotel where I was staying because everything else was booked. Ate at the bar and had a very mediocre meal. The lemon sole was bland sitting on a bed of wilted spinach with some butter and lemon. The bread that came with the meal was clearly not homemade. The vodka and soda was served in a very large glass not a tumbler. The caprese salad was also flavorless with cold tasteless tomato and buffala mozzarella that was dry thick and relatively lifeless. All in all I give it a poor rating since I was hungry and ate everything but wouldn't say that it was terrible. On balance spend your money elsewhere.

Really enjoyed eating here! Service was on point (Thank you Joesph!). The weather was perfect so outside seating was the best choice! Definitely recommend this place for all occasions!

I very much enjoyed lunch at this downtown restaurant. The wines sold by the glass were lovely. The sole and chicken piccata were delicious. Dessert was also wonderful, we had the tiramisu. The service is very good as well, very attentive. We didn’t wait long for anything and the staff was polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

When picking a restaurant in a different city, it can be a great or not so great experience. This restaurant falls in the great category. The food and service was wonderful. Our only complaint was the loud music playing along with the noise from the kitchen made it difficult to have a conversation. We asked for the music to be turned down, the waiter said he would ask the manager, but it didn't seem to change in volume. The multiple TVs in the bar area gives it the look of a sports bar, detracting from the ambiance. It was our anniversary and the waiter or kitchen decorated our dessert plate with a whimsical message.

We arrived at 9:30pm and were not sure we would be able to order a meal. Waitstaff were very friendly (Juan in particular). Husband had steak and salmon, both were delicious. I had Chicken Piccata and it was delicious too. The atmosphere is dark. Prices are typical for a larger city.

I was recommended not to go to this restaurant by a friend but surprisingly have been there many times with no complaints. If it is cutting edge molecular gastronomy you are seeking, continue your pilgrimage elsewhere because the simple menu doesn't provide any of that wanky modern take on meals. What it does give you is a reasonably priced Italian inspired meal, coupled with low priced drinks in a weird sports bar themed place. Don't be put off by that aspect because I've never seen anyone actually sitting at the bar drinking.

This has been my fourth year of having a client dinner while attending a conference. The service, the food, and the atmosphere are outstanding. Some of my clients have participated in the dinner every year for four years, and they look forward to it.

Ravenna was a short walk from my hotel. They gave me a wonderful Italian dining experience. Very interesting yet friendly menu with plenty of wines by the glass to satisfy. Service was professional and food was wonderful. My pet peeve is timing and I must say the team working me were spot on with delivery without being intrusive. Bravo Ravenna!!

Friends invited us here for dinner. It’s very quaint and the wait staff was friendly , polite and knowledgeable. My Lemon Parmesan Dover Sole was the best prepared sole I’ve ever had. The Rest Of our table enjoyed the special which was seafood manicotti. It was creamy deliciousness in each bite. It’s a bit pricey for the little amount of ambiance but the food and service make up for the elevated prices.

It was late, we were tired and didn’t feel like anything fancy. At Ravenna, walking distance from most downtown hotels, we got grilled sole with no sauce or dressing for the boss, and more adventurous comfort foods like pan-fried cod and steak for the rest of us. Washed down with excellent craft beers, very reasonable pricing

This restaurant was recommended to me by my hotel nearby. I spent a lovely evening there, quite good food, excellent service and kind attention from all the waiters, but particularly Paul. Being European it is difficult for me to say this is "typical" Italian, it is not. But it is very tasty and a good deal for your money. Excellent: the tiramisù for dessert, made on the premises!

Had the pasta meat sauce, also clam sauce and sausage and pepper pasta. Little pricey for lunch. Clam sauce was little to creamy for my taste. Meat sauce was ok. Best was the sausage and peppers. While this was an Italian restaurant I am not sure this is their specialty. Perhaps Dallas is not the right place for Italian food. Wait or was out of sight and only appeared to take order and bring food. He seemed to be more interested in texting then being available Table bread was very weak.

We dined here while in town. I had eaten here twice last year and wanted to return. It was as I recalled. We were the only diners in the place as COVID has caused many to order take out and it was a constant in and out with folks getting food to go. I had the cioppino and it was great. I like the incorporation of tomato into the broth, which was spicy, as I like it. They allowed me to substitute extra mussels for the calamari that I do not care for. The bread and dipping oil is nice an soft. My wife opted for the chicken marsala and liked it. They pound the chicken very thin, which is the way it should be. There wer some nic beer choices and the waiter was good and helpful. He even advised us on the best street to walk aafter we were done since it was now dark out. He was on point with that. It is a go to on every Dallas trip for me.

They were nice enough to prepare something to go as they were closing. The food was good although might be a little overpriced. The bread was kind of amazing.

We visited as a large party (8) on a Saturday and had 8 different dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was prompt and professional. The dishes were all reasonably priced. The location is close to the convention center and easily walkable from there. The Chicken Parmesan was huge and got high marks. The Chicken Marsala consists of two breasts and is delightful. The Eggplant rolatini got a "delicious" comment.

We had a wonderful experience at Ravenna's. Our hotel recommended it. It was a short walk in downtown Dallas. The food was delicious. We started with brusetta which was alright...better if cheese had been melted. I had the lemon Parmesan crusted sole which was to die for...and the reason for the four stars. My husband had ling

$$, but worth it for walking distance/convenience/food genre. The rolls were your typical mass produced rolls, kind of bland. With that said, the actual entrees were perfect portion size for the price and DELICIOUS. I had the lobser manicotti. They do not skimp on the lobster and it wa REAL. The sauce was creamy and flavored well. Seafood was cooked perfectly. Nice, intimate dining. It was quiet and the server/waiter was knowledgable and kind. Food came out quickly.

Loved everything about this place. Small and cozy, friendly, stellar service and fabulous dinner. Juan- our waiter- was attentive to every detail. We ordered the 'specials' for the evening which was an incredible filet with a mushroom wine sauce perfectly cooked on a polenta bed and grilled salmon with grilled shrimp- also perfectly prepared. House salads have a great house vinaigrette based dressing. Mussels in white wine sauce were fresh and fabulous. Good wine selection. We stay at the Adolphus fairly often and now have our favorite place to eat right around the corner.

Incredible food and wonderful staff! Ravenna hosted a corporate dinner for my company (30+ people) and the owner, Milan, was awesome to work with. He accommodated all of our needs, quickly adjusted to changes and even helped personalize the party by helping us come up with specialty cocktails for our group. The service was incredible and, as an Italian that's picky about Italian food, I can say the food was amazing. Would highly recommend to everyone!!

Oh. My. God!! The Lobster Manicotti was favolosa!!! Our waiter could not have been nicer or more attentive! We were in Dallas for a short weekend and this was within walking distance to our hotel so we tried it on a fluke. We had Italian the night before so we almost didn't go there (but there's no such thing as "too much Italian food" is there!? This place was top notch!!

The location makes this restaurant an easy choice but the food makes is a great choice. Lobster Ravioli and Crab Manicotti were great selections.

We had the pleasure of ordering Ravenna Italian Grille & Bar for delivery in April 2024. It was BY FAR one of the best Italian dining experiences we’ve ever had. The Chicken Alfredo was amazing, the Chicken Piccata was nothing short of divine. Crunchy, but not hard, croutons on the crisp and fresh salad was an added bonus. The bread made us believers. If you’re looking for Italian in Dallas, look no further than Ravenna Italian Grille & Bar!

This is a great Italian restaurant in Downtown Dallas. Atmosphere and service is spot on, and the food is cooked by a chef who truly enjoys their craft. Every bite is delicious.

Not very exciting I'm afraid. Cocktail glasses had a slight taste of detergent. Food sounded good on the menu but didnt quite live up to the expectation.

This was right outside the Adolphus Hotel where we were staying. Since the weather was very pleasant, we opted to eat at an outside table. The waiter was a little forgetful, but wound up serving our order correctly. The martinis were spot-on, and our dinner was excellent. They have a flair for veal dishes; I loved the Saltimbocca. I would like to go back and try out the rest of the menu.

When you miss the memorable Italian food abundant from Boston to Philadelphia this is the place to come home to. Authentic Italian kitchen in America with robust sauces, al dente pasta, great veal and excellent pizza. You cannot beat the fine fare that is truly American Italian cuisine at its best. The signage outside is dubious and the interiors a bit geared towards a sports bar but the linens are white underneath the brown paper and the service is all in starched white and black vests. it is fun comfortable and easy going. the prices are up there but the food is worth it.

Horrible waste of money! 18” pizza had outside 6” with no meat whatsoever. Don’t waste your money. Stephen, the MOD’s resolution: “Next time you order with us, we’ll cover your pizza”. WTF? Next time? You have got to be kidding.

The service was good but the food was not living up to reviews. It seemed to take a long time considering how few people were in the restaurant. Food was salty and lukewarm in temperature

This place was right by our hotel and the food was very good along with the service. The dress is casual and the inside of the place is old school which we enjoyed.

I brought two friends with me to Ravenna Italian Grille and Bar to taste their deliciousness! I had been there numerous times but both of my friends had not. I enjoyed the amazing chicken pesto linguine with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, chicken, basil pesto creamy sauce for just $25.95. The serving was gigantic. I knew that from past experiences so didn’t order appetizers or a salad. The proportions of the ingredients was absolutely perfect with more chicken than I thought might be in the dish. My friends were not super hungry so one chose mama’s meatballs for $16.95 and said they were the best meatballs she had ever tasted. She’s in her 60s! The other gal ordered a half portion of Pappardelle Bolognese for $24.95 and she was just as satisfied as the rest of us. I highly recommend anything on their menu!

Great food. Pizza was great. Steak was good as well. Great place for dinner. Will be back for pizza for lunch.

I'm in Dallas for work. On my way back to the hotel I stopped at Ravenna for an early dinner.Outside the door there is a menu for patron to review. A receptionist came out to see if I had any questions regarding the menu. I saw several selection that drew me into the restaurant. The wait staff was very attentive. My waiter can to the table quickly after being seated. He also went over off the menu items for the evening. I settled on the pesto chicken linguine. It was delicious and filling. I mopped up the pesto sauce with the warm bread knots they brought to the table. Throughly enjoyable meal

WE stopped by on a lark-loved it! Special of the day was outstanding!!! Crab in a manicotti with sauce! Others had chicken parmigiana, was excellent. But the kicker for those of us who eat and go--it was fast, efficient and verrrrrrry good!

this place has a homey authentic italian feel to it the food is abundant and very tasty! servers are wonderful

Quaint place in downtown with a cozy Michael Bouble vibe. I'm pretty picky but I had the pork chop which was very good! Caprese salad was nice and light and tiramisu was moist and delicious, bread was fresh and hot with a nice dipping sauce. I would have given it 5 stars but my companion ordered the Kansas City strip which was just "ok" for me... but, I am a little picky. All in all- give it a try and order the chop- yum yum!

Not many places have french style mussles in Texas and this place had great ones. Expensive but worth it with a good glass wine menu. Wife had Chicken Piccata and ate most of it-big portions. Friend had eggplant parmigiana and thought it was very good. Friendly and concerned managgement made the place hum and no rush to leave table (like it is in Italy)

Just popped in wandering around for some dinner and happened here... Great food, good size portions, timely served by a good guy Juan. Reminded me of Chicago. Very happy!

Loved the easy atmosphere. The bartender helped our waiter take care of our table. The meatballs appetizer was sumptuous and the clan linguini and the pesto shrimp linguini was superb! Quite a nice find. Lovely atmosphere, good value for price and table, while small was comfortable.

Good dinner for 10. Spaghetti and meatballs was good. Prices were reasonable, except for the wine, which runs over $60 per bottle.

We visited with the manager outside the restaurant (they have sidewalk seating as well as inside), explaining that we are vegetarian. He was very helpful in pointing out options that are already vegetarian or that could be prepared in that fashion. He even mentioned a lunch special that was still available for dinner: Kale stuffed ravioli with sundried tomatoes and a gorgonzola cheese sauce - Yes, Please! My husband had the Kale Ravioli and I chose the Cheese Ravioli with Tomato/Basil Sauce. They were both fantastic! Highly recommend!

The service here was outstanding and ver accommodating. Our waiter was so very good with a 9 year old and 4 year old! The hostess went out of her way! The girls had pizza and it all disappeared. I had stuffed shells and husband sausage with ziti or penne. Mine was very good and I heard the sausage dinner was also very good. If I were in Dallas again I would go here

I get to the restaurant 10 min before the time I asked my client to arrive, all this in order to be ready. The hostess will not seat me if the other person has not arrived. Even if my client decides to stand me up, I will stay and eat, gosh , I asked for a table of two!

To Ravenna for lunch. We received very good service, and perhaps unusually some great advice on the various dishes available. We chose from the shorter lunch menu, although the full one would have been possible had we wished it, so the four of us all had pasta. The special of the say was penne with artichoke, chicken, tomatoes and garlic and was truly excellent. I'm not 100% sure if the pasta was made on the premises, but it certainly seemed like it. The wine list was plentiful, if perhaps on the pricey side with $45 being about the minimum, but our chosen Pinot Noir was very pleasant. Altogether a very pleasant experience, and one I'd recommend if you are looking for somewhere reasonably priced to eat on Main St.

Ravenna came highly recommended by the front desk agent at the ALoft Hotel so I decided to give it a shot for dinner. I ended up having a salad and chicken piccata. Both were pretty tasty and the portion sizes were good without being overly generous. Service was speedy and excellent and the restaurant had a great ambience. Would definitely visit again.

The stuffed shells were amazing. The restaurant was quiet on the night I went, service was excellent, and everything was clean.

We were looking for some place to eat prior to going to the House of Blues & this was a fantastic choice! I had the Seafood Manicotti & it was FANTASTIC! We also had calamari & I tasted someone's fish that was delicious. Also LOVED the bread - perfect for sopping up the YUMMY sauce on my manicotti! The canoli was authentic & delicious as well. We also had a really great bottle of wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant! GREAT waiter too!

We arrived as a group of 7 and were in Dallas on a conference. I had the shrimp pesto linguine, but spit out the first bite because the shrimp wasn’t peeled. I was with people with whom this move, was super uncomfortable doing! Embarrassed and disappointed, I maneuvered my way through, as the linguine was flavorful and delicious. I would recommend it, but not the shrimp dishes.

We visited 4/20/19 after a LONG day of volleyball nearby at the convention center. We had seen Ravenna the day before and wanted to try it. We walked over from our hotel and upon entering the hostess greeted us warmly and directed us to the bar where we could place our take out order. The restaurant was clean and cozy and the outdoor seating area looked inviting. Joseph the bartender was very friendly and told us about some amazing sounding options that were not on the menu. He was understanding and patient as we texted our daughter at the hotel pictures of the menu and waited for her reply. He offered us complimentary drinks as we waited and the raspberry tea was delicious and gave us another one to go. Our order arrived quicker than we anticipated and we were soon on our way. Even after a 10-15 minute walk our food was still very warm and everything was delicious. We highly recommend Ravenna!!

The restaurant was very good! The owner of restaurant was very friendly and good man! The food also was very big and enough for me. Then also the barman was very friendly!

We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated at a table with linen table clothes and napkins. Our waiter, Adam, was a delight from the beginning to the end. We let him know about our food allergies, and he navigated us through the menu. We split the Veal Parmigiana and Caprese Salad. It was yummy, and the vodka sauce is a creamy red sauce that is so good. The highlight was when Adam recommended the limoncello cake for dessert. It was the best! If you find yourself in Downton Dallas, give Ravenna a try because you won't regret it.

Jumped in here on a rainy night for early dinner in order to catch a plane shortly there after. Not knowing much about the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Waiter was knowledgeable and helped us narrow down our decision. The meatball appetizer was spot on as well as the lobster Ravioli in pink sauce. In my opinion the star of the show was the tiramisu. There’s a likelihood we will visit her again before the end of the week.

We were in the mood for Italian food and we found this place while staying in downtown Dallas. It’s on the ground floor of a parking garage, but inside you would never know it. Standard Italian decor, only odd thing was the techno music playing. Seemed out of place with everything else. Great food and nice wine pours. We just missed happy hour, but it looks like a good one. Staff was friendly and professional.

From the salad drenched in dressing to the less than tasty lobster ravioli this restaurant was a disaster. I could not believe that the hotel receptionist recommended this place. There was nothing even mediocre here-it was simply terrible!

We went with a large group on July 3. The food was OK but very expensive for what it was. Also, they were very stingy about bringing bread to the table. We had to ask multiple times for bread before it finally showed up mid-way through the meal. I mean, come on, when you are charging $20 for each plate of pasta, why not throw your guests a free slice of bread?!?! Annoying and ridiculous. There's gotta be a better Italian restaurant in Dallas.

owner refused my husband a drink because he didnt agree with them not letting a homeless man have a drink of water. This is after he paid 60$ for our meal. I will give my money to business owners who actually value their customers and the public.

We were actually headed to another Italian restaurant when we passed by this one. Lovely menu, good service, nice wine list, very accommodating on special requests.

Ok but not great. Service was good but menu wasn't exciting. Wine is a bit pricey and the standard TV in the background is a bit off putting. No way we would do a return visit.

We wandered in as they were closing up, but they still welcomed us with hot, crispy pizza and a great selection of beer. So nice of them to do that, they made us feel like we could stay all night, and didn't rush us as we enjoyed our food at the bar.

Not expected.... Very good service and amazing food. The Lobster Manicotti OMG!!! All we ordered was delicious. Fully recommend this place.

Ravenna is a solid choice if you are looking for some good Italian food. Nothing fancy here. Decor is average. Service is very good. Both of us had a pasta entree and it was cooked perfectly and piping hot. Prices are very fair.

Ate here late on a Sunday evening after a day of air delays. It was the only restaurant open. We wanted something simple, so we ordered the Sunday Salad. It was salad with meatballs on the side. It was a delight! Will definitely return if in the area.

I enjoyed a lovely Italian lunch meal with my wife. The waiter as well as staff were friendly in this little quite place. It sets in the business district of downtown but it was not very busy during lunch time. We had table for two and the food was great. I had the beef lasagna but they offer so much such as lobster ravioli and plenty of more pasta dishes. I loved every bit of the meal. It's definitely a place to go and enjoy a meal with your co workers or significant other.

Growing up in an Italian family has made me very particular about pasta, sauces, etc. Ravenna Urban Italian Restaurant is absolutely delicious! My son is on a gluten free diet and they had a penne pasta he could substitute with the various meals. I had the cheese ravioli and it was tasty and light. Great variety on the menu. Wonderful ambience.

Just visited over the weekend. Great service, incredible meatballs and one of the best steaks I've had any where in a long time. Nice job!

I found Ravenna on Trip Advisor and had an outstanding lunch after a hearing at the courthouse nearby. The bruschetta was outstanding and the lemon sole even better. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful Basil Pesto Chicken Linguini and a house salad. Both were delicious, and moderately priced. Also had a Hemingway Martini (a little string for me, but otherwise delicious). Their pretzel-shaped bread was different, and very tasty. Hubby had Shrimp Alfredo - also delicious.

Stopped here for lunch. Had the mussels, pizza, a sandwich, and a salad. Everything was delicious. But what was incredible, was the staff. Paul, our waiter. went out of his way to let us know where to visit, what to see. And Milan, the manager/owner(?) - sorry I don't remember for certain, was so accommodating with making our drinks. Right in the center of Main St. It's a MUST stop!!

I dined here tonight and loved it. The atmosphere was very fine and the smooth jazz was wonderful as it created a great atmosphere. The server was attentive and on point. The seafood stew had a lot of seafood in it and it just fell apart. The linguine was cooked well and had a tsty tangy marinara sauce on it. The bread that preceded the meal was great as well. I had a glass of a wonderful moscato. It was sas great experience.

We were looking forward to a meal here however it was so rushed we were in and out in about 40 minutes - and that was 3 courses! When we arrived, we were the only people in the restaurant so our appetiser arrived very quickly. We were still eating this when our main course was delivered to our table!! We asked if we could please finish our first course, so our meals were returned to the bench and a plate put over the top in an endeavour to keep warm. As soon as our first plates were removed, they were replaced by our mains. 3 other people had arrived by this time, so we thought we may have a breather. This was not the case. As soon as I had finished my meal, my plate was removed although my partner was still eating. Dessert arrived just as quickly and the bill placed on the table while we were still eating. We were so disgusted by this, we didn’t even finish dessert. We just paid and left. I trust the remaining 3 guests were equally as rushed. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are after very fast food.

One of the few places still serving food late on a weeknight. Fabulous pizza and great wine. Enjoyed visiting with the bartender as well.

We sat on the patio and enjoyed the atmosphere with our dinner. The food was very delicious and the service was very accommodating.

I've been here with friends for fun and for business dinners. I absolutely love the food and the ambience. Staff was rude once- but I've been back many times and never had any issues. If you love italian you will love Ravenna!

My food was ordered to go and maybe they don't put the same love into the food if you're not eating it there. Very underwhelmed and disappointed. I had the fettuccini alfredo with chicken and it was dry. Very dry, so dry I just didn't eat it.

We should have turned around at the start. The hostess said it was a 20 minute wait even though there were several empty tables. The wait was about 3 minutes. ow much money do airhead hostess cost restaurants? It when downhill from there. We ordered sausage appetizer and pizza and were told a few minutes later that they were out of pizza. Sausage appetizer arrived small for the price and cold. Manager said that was how it was served. Ask if we had other questions. We asked how they could run out of pizza? After all it's a pretty simple recipe to make dough. He claimed they were busy earlier and run out. We are guessing we would have been further disappointed so we left. Prices were high for pasta that was from a box. Staff seemed to not care about anything. Avoid at all costs

If you walked in without a recommendation, you might turn around and leave. The decor of the restaurant is not great, but it is moving across the street in June. You should, however, stay. The food is excellent. Best Veal between Dallas and St. Louis. Very good red sauce. Very good service. And, reasonably priced for the quality of the food.

Dishonest and committing fraud!! Charged my credit card twice for and will not refund. They charged someone else's dinner on my credit card by mistake. The owner personally told me that they have two receipts with signatures. But I signed ONLY one receipt! So, I am calling my credit card company and also reporting to Better Business Bureau

I was in Dallas for a conference and the location was near our hotel and it became a favorite of everyone in the group. Some of the group went twice in one day. The group I was with did two separate dinners there. The lasagna is great. We even got serenaded by one of the waiters. And could he sing!!

Our server, Adam, was right out of the "old school" book. He was courteous, prompt, customer friendly, and attentive. The pasta, however, was sadly dry. I had to add olive oil to make it palatable.

It’s a bit pricey, but the food is delicious. We spend the day in downtown and decided to try this restaurant. We are a family of 3 and decided to try the spaghetti with meatballs and the NY, NY pizza 14”. Everything was super good. Service was excellent and fast and restaurant is super clean. I will definitely come back if I visit Dallas again

Had lunch in this restaurant. The service was fantastic and so was the food. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant!

3 weeks ago I ordered take-out. I ordered Parppardelle Bolognese and I was very disappointed to have it arrive on Fettucine noodles. I called and they said that happens sometimes when the kitchen gets busy. They told me I could bring it back and they could fix it, but I didn’t want to drive there, so I filed a complaint with the delivery service and just threw it away. Tonight, I decided to give them another try, but prior to placing the order I called and I explained to the young lady on the phone what happened last time and I wanted to be certain it would come on the correct pasta this time. She assured me it would. So I placed the order. Even called back again and asked her if she had the order and if she could personally check with the kitchen to make certain I got Pappardelle. You can only imagine how aggravated I was to once again receive Fettuccine noodles, not Pappardelle. This time I drove to the restaurant and spoke to a gentleman, I assume was the manager. He informed me they were out of Pappardelle and they substitute Fetticine. I reminded him that is why I called. I even told the lady, if they didn’t have Pappardelle, I didn’t want the order placed. The worst part was he told me there was nothing he could do thus I had to go through the delivery service. Of course I did file a complaint with them, but he offered absolutely nothing for my inconvenience. He didn’t offer to make me something else, he didn’t offer for me to come back as his guest, not a glad of water, nothing. This is a management problem, a staff problem, a training problem and a major service problem. I would stay as far away from Ravenna Italian Grille, in Dallas as possible. Shame on Management/ownership!

Was traveling in Dallas for a sporting event and needed good healthy food to eat without all of the fancy decor and prices. This place was a real find. My whole group found something that met their needs and pocketbook. The owner and staff were attentive and polite to everyone in the place and they had a most excellent bar set up with a TV so that you could watch the Wold Cup Soccer game, if you were so inclined. Many different age groups were at the restaurant and all of the food was tasty and fresh.

Wow! You already know me over here, and you know I’m big foodie… if you want real Italian, you come to this place. Also, huge thanks Colin for making our experience even more pleasant! I definitely come back to this place when I visit Dallas.

Had an amazing meal. Staff was super friendly. Restaurant came highly recommended by a bartender at our hotel. Did not disappoint.

Mid afternoon after cheer competition - was quiet and excellent food. Exactly what we were looking for.

Our hotel recommended Ravenna, it was very close to us. It was a good choice. Wide variety on menu and specials, I had the seafood special and it was very good. We did not have reservations but they were not very busy at 8:00 on the Thursday we dined.

Thought this restaurant was in prime dallas downtown area, and food will be good but it was dissapointing. Menu is outdated, and food quality was not great. I wont go there again.

The wife had penne carbonara and the daughter had salmon lunch specials both were very flavourful and plentifully. 2 of us shared a pizza also a hit with the 14 year old. The table next to us had the calzones and they were first time customers and we're also very pleased. The service was good the atmosphere casual.were very willing to substitute as the daughters are picky eaters but we all left very full and glad we stopped in

This restaurant is in downtown Dallas about six blocks east of Reunion Tower. On street parking is limited. First the food was excellent (lasagna) and it was moderately priced. Our water Milan took care of us. The preparation was reasonably fast. They had about 15 tables. A good choice.

A comfortable walk from the Omni Hotel and Dallas Convention Center is Ravenna a smaller trendy spot with all fresh, in-house created Italian dishes and steak. I travel all over the country and don't think I have ever had a better veal parmesan. The sauce is simple with the clean, fresh flavor of the tomato that is key to making it perfect. Pounded and crispy fried fresh with a mound of blended cheeses on top. Oh, Baby! The deserts are all made at a local bakery. The tiramisu was so light and delicate, I hold to hold my fork on top of it, to keep it from floating off the plate. Justin behind the bar is a master mixologist and serves up frosty local and imported drafts and your favorite cocktails to cool your parched throat and is sure to sooth the weariest of travelers. Chill out and relax as wait for the chef to prepare dinner. You certainly will not leave hungry or thirsty. Tell Justin I sent you from Trip Advisor. Tell the locals you were made an honorary "Texican" and they will surely forgive you for finding their favorite spot. Staff and patrons alike were warm and friendly. Cheers!

Intimate with good service serving authentic italian food. The veal saltimbocca was particularly good. Excellent house wines - they are in menu not in main wine list. Friendly and efficient staff. A very pleasant evening.

It isn't one of the very best meals but it was awfully good! We were a group of nine and had reservations.

This restaurant was suggested by the front desk at the Magnolia. We didn't want to drive anywhere and it was just a couple of blocks away. It was a small, dark place in a corner storefront on Main. We had a caprese salad, lasagna and penne with sausage and vodka sauce-all very fresh and tasty. Bread was warm and none of the food had too much garlic. Very light cheesecake for dessert. Highly recommend!

We went to eat and enjoy the evening but unfortunately food wasn’t good as we expected I must say that they need to improve there quality and bring more fresh ingredients

A nice surprise while I visited Dallas. Food and Service was very good. Cozy atmosphere. I had the Filet that was a special. Excellent. Desert was also excellent. Definitely eat here.

Good food, great service. They seated us without a reservation on a very busy evening. We were most thankful.

From the meatballs (like mama makes) to the sausage (I love the hint of truly great balsamic) to the filet....a remarkable feast. The servers were absolutely fantastic... everything is fresh, amazing, and high quality. I even brought back food for tomorrows breakfast. Don't pay attention to the review before mine, get here ...it's worth it.

A little pricey, but the flavor and services are stellar. The owner is attentive and makes sure you are welcome. The servers are classy. I tried the Chicken Marsala, and it was out of this world. They did not have a kid's menu, but whatever you asked, they would make.

Ordered takeout from here during a business trip. Excellent calamari and penne alla vodka. Recommend if in the area.

Had the eggplant rollintini and the lemon caper sauce sole with spinach. Also had a cannoli for dessert. Absolutely fabulous tasting food would recommend and will go back if I’m ever in Dallas.Service was exceptional. Sat outdoors and people watched.

Read this review do Not come in here I ordered papadelle bolognese they brought me fettuccine I sent it back ordered nothing else my wife ordered sausage penne ala vodka penne overcooked sauce was 100percent like a stouffers pure garbage terrible the waiter dudnt know the difference between pastas a complete DUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fabulous Italian food! I had the lobster ravioli and a salad that was superb. The fried calamari was cooked to perfection, the crust so flaky and the calamari tasted super fresh. My friend had the lasagna and it was made with a lot of Italian sausage, which she did not particularly care for, so just be aware of that. If you like sausage, you will love it. Had THE best tiramisu ever!! Very lovely experience, would definitely go back! The only thing that was not that good is their bread, I could sure help them out on that one as I am quite a bread baker! Wish they would rethink the bread, not fresh, dry and very little taste. Otherwise fabulous!!

This is typical food but large portions an tasty. I liked the garlic bread it was not too greasy and not dry just perfect.

Buttery steak coupled with superior service, creative menu and stronger cocktails! Thanks Ben for an awesome relaxing meal.

We are having our National Sales meeting at the Westin Dallas. One block from this restaurant. Six of us had dinner. Very nice Italian restaurant. I had the Cheese Raviolis. Excellent. The calamari was not the greatest. More like a frozen type and a little rubbery. All the calamari was rings like small onion rings. Had a glass of wine with dinner. The bread and the pasta sauce is outstanding. Atmosphere is Italian very comfortable. Yes I recommend this place if you in the area. Yes I will go back. If I lived in the area it would be on my list of choices. Try it enjoy it and relax. Very Good Place

Just got into Dallas and staying downtown, so I had to find someplace in walking distance. This fit the bill. The food and service were really good and I would recommend the eggplant rollatini. Salad was tasty and just the right size. While it wasn't too busy when I walked in, as the evening went on it got busier and when I left they had about eight tables working. I would suspect on a night when there is some event going on this place could get busy. Priced right, good service, the gravy could be a little more spicy, and I would say otherwise a good meal to be had!

Our waiter JASON was the best part of this dining experience. My steak was exceedingly salty as was the shrimp. The Caesar salad was good as was the tiramisu, however I'm just not sure it was worth the heady price tag.

When I arrived to pick up my order a couple of guys tried to get a table. The waitress said that they were full. The manager called out to them and seated them straight away... Too much business maybe? The restaurant was not half full... The Tortellini Carbonara was ok - it needed way more seasoning which was not included in my to go order. The serving was a good size for one person. Was expecting more for the money I paid...

If your in the area, enjoy the visit with good array of Italian options. The pizza was very nice and like the NY style. There is a good bar and wine list to accompany your food. The service was also very good.

Went here on a Friday evening with my parents while in Dallas for the weekend. It was a traditional Italian restaurant. They have a solid menu and specials of the day. Everything we ate was delicious. The food was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great for an evening out. Would definitely recommend for another meal.

Nice Italian food, but nothing special. However, the chef did listen to what we asked for, and the food came out well prepared and promptly. Our waiter was excellent. Lasagna highly recommended. The desert menu not very good. Italian restaurant that doesn’t serve ice cream !

This restaurant was amazing. Reservations are recommended because it is busy. The food is extremely fresh, well prepared and the flavor was amazing. Service was great as well. Prices are reasonable as well. Definitely a great choice when dining in Dallas.

Intending to go to another restaurant, one of our party spotted this and we decided to check it out. We were welcomed, seated and promptly served after we had considered a menu with many tempting offers. The food, on arrival, was excellent in size and taste. Water was regularly poured from bottles on the table by the waiter who was attentive but not too much. We reluctantly decided not to choose one of the attractive desserts and left fully satisfied with our choice of venue.

Great food, great service but the wine is a bit expensive. Lasagna was excellent. Busy on a Monday night which is a good sign.

My wife had the sole and I had the filet mignon specials and both were very tasty meals. The service was great and our waiter Chance and staff were very good. Please keep in mind this is not a bar and grill;you are paying for great food and great service.

We had the tiramisu and it was the best! The staff was helpful and the wait not too long, even with COVID spacing at the tables.

Ordered the Lasagna and the Chicken Pesto Linguini. Both were excellent. My only suggestion is that a side salad be offered as part of the meal. Prices are extremely high, for not getting a complimentary side salad. Linguini portion was very substantial and very filling. Lasagna, although excellent tasting, was fairly small portion in relation to the price.

My friend is gluten free and we decided to split a dinner. Chris, our waiter, confirmed I was not GF - and when they brought out our divided dinners - I was pleased to see I did Not have GF noodles, yet my friend Did. Very great service, good food - recommend!

Recommend by our hotel. My business dinner was just lovely. Waiter was very friendly and he had great recommendations. I had the salmon which was just excellent. My business associate had a evening lobster special. She also said it was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for us to discuss business; not so noisy, like most restaurants. The bread before dinner was fresh out of the oven and was spectacular. I would definitely come back when I am back in the area.

My wife and were in downtown Dallas and had a great lunch. We had the stuffed shells and spaghetti for lunch. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service excellent. The sauces on both were outstanding, reminding us of a place in Little Italy in New York.

Checked out Ravenna on one of the coldest nights Dallas has endured in a long time (so I was told) - and enjoyed a meal to warm this traveller's heart. Yummy pappardelle bolognese, with fresh garlic bread...just the ticket.

This was my first visit to Ravenna. I ordered the House Salad, Chicken Florentine, and Raspberry Tea. The salad was very tasty. The chicken was juicy, succulent, and delicious. The spaghetti was very good. The roll was shaped like a pretzel and was very warm, soft, & delicious. The raspberry tea was great! The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices were comparable to other Italian restaurants. The setting was old but elegant.

Walked by this place while out browsing the city and decided to have dinner. The service was great and the food was wonderful. Had the filet mignon special and it was cooked exactly as I asked. Flavorful ingredients with a very good presentation made for a satisfying meal. I would definitely eat here again!

Doorman at our hotel suggested Ravenna, as we were glad he did. The food was well prepared and flavorful, service was attentive without being intrusive. Actually had dessert for a change and can say that their tiramisu and cannoli are both good.

Went for a pre-concert dinner, on a week night. The service was wonderful! And the food...wow! This is a very nice restaurant, very quaint. Would be wonderful for a quiet romantic dinner. And the 14 inch pizza--HUGE! We will definitely return!

Came here after the Cotton Bowl, and were immediately greeted by the most friendly wait staff! Very accommodating and helpful on what to order. The food was amazing and very fresh tasting. Inside was very quaint and clean. Would definitely come back if in the area, and I highly recommend it!

Quaint little spot for dinner and drinks in downtown Dallas with the very best pasta and seafood. Manicotti with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce was fantastic. Ravioli was homemade and cooked to perfection. Don't leave without dessert!

Would like to give this place another star because service was decent and we came in pretty late (however other restaurants did seem to be open) but because of the blandness of the food I just can't. The bruschetta was much different then I've had at other Italian restaurants, can't say it was bad but also can't say it was very good. The calamari was basic but nothing to write home about. My seafood pasta dish had absolutely no flavor, it was supposedly a white wine tomato sauce but I literally couldn't taste anything except plain noodles and the fish in it. Definitely not impressed and would not return, good thing I don't live in Dallas as so far not too pleased with their food, although maybe I'd be skinnier if I did live here. Maybe we're picking the wrong places, hopefully better luck tomorrow!

We picked Ravenna based on the location from the hotel and we were pleasantly surprised by the very classic traditional Italian experience. The food was great and the Sausage Penne with Vodka Sauce was pretty great.
Shady
We got burned. After talking with friends, we checked our receipt after we got home. As warned, an automatic gratuity was on our bill. We didn’t inspect it closely, so ended up tipping twice :-/
