What a cute little spot! Outside and inside seating. Charming "French" restaurant with wonderful Serbian staff. Everything was delicious and the cocktails were perfect! Perfect grilled octopus. Sweet atmosphere, great end to the week. Espresso Martini shots on the house. Oh! The French onion soup, wow! We had cavatelli with short rib and gnocchi with truffles and mushrooms. Bread pudding and apple pie for dessert.

this place is a gem for the neighborhood, just what was needed in Williamsburg Brooklyn. the food, the price range and the quality is hard to match.

Very kind staff - I came with a friend and we got a great cucumber cocktail and amazing appetizer. I would definitely recommend this place!

The food was good and quality, but the prices are excessive compared to the overall experience. In particular, I find the system of pricing wine opaque: it would be better to clearly indicate the cost of the bottles rather than that of the glasses. In addition, the service had some shadows: the waiters took a tip far beyond what would have been correct. An experience that leaves a little bitter taste in the mouth, despite the quality of the cuisine.

One of the best restaurants to eat in Williamsburg. Came here midweek for dinner and atmosphere is so chill and stuff super friendly. But most importantly the food is amazing. I ordered the cheese plate, Brussels and kale salad, mushroom pasta and one of the the flatbreads. I would definitely come back here!

This spot is great for casual date night out!! I tried the short rib cavateli , that pasta is something else!! Highly recommended!!

The food was amazing at Recette. We got the buratta, steak, and the lava cake. It was absolutely fantastic. I also got a mezcal cocktail which was delicious. The place was cozy and warm. Definitely recommend!

I'd call this 'French-leaning" versus "French," as we had great Pasta Primavera and the menu is eclectic. Service was excellent. Our chicken was great and the kale salad was very good, as well. There's a limited selection of wines with modest pours, but that didn't detract from a great dining experience.

I live way uptown and definitely plan to return. The food was delicious. I ordered the Grilled Branzino Oreganatta and it was exquisite and full of flavor. I loved the dressing on the watercress. I also enjoyed my sautéed broccolini. And the staff was so warm and friendly. I loved our server, Chevy.

The dinner was more than I expected. Talk about a perfect dinner… sitting in outdoor dining, on a summer night, listening to exceptional live jazz music, with extremely attentive service and phenomenal food. You can’t ask for anything more!! I will definitely come back again.

Wonderful experience to eat outside at a beautiful bistro in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Service was top notch and food was delicious. We start with Miss O'Hara and Jardin Cocktails. For an appetizer, we had the mussels and French onion soup, both were fantastic. After that, we decided to try Steak and fries and Short rib cavatelli pasta. Finish with cream Brule.

I had great time here. Place is cozy and vibe is great, loved the live jazz. I had their restaurant week menu. Tuna is excellent and salmon was delicious. Dessert is exactly what I want. Bartender was so friendly and he made me his special espresso martini. I also like spicy cocktail, dangerously delicious. I will definitely come back. Thank you guys

This is my new favorite restaurant. The french onion soup and the duck legs are some of the best dishes I tried while in New York. Definitely try cardamon panacotta for the dessert. The atmosphere is amazing other than the music being a little loud. Everything is made and cures in house. Service is very friendly and professional.. Can't wait to come back!

I love Recette — it’s a classic Paris neighborhood bistro/bar airlifted to Williamsburg. The food is very good, and the light-filled room is warm and cozy. Wonderful frites, Croque Monsieur and more — the vanilla mousse dessert is truly special. Also, the waitstaff I’ve encountered on my three visits have been both warm and accommodating. And here’s a special shout-out for our waiter yesterday, the friendly Osman, who provided personalized service beyond the call of duty.

The service was great. 100% recommended, very attentive. Don’t get scare if you see it empty, food and service great. I ordered egg Benedict and the drinks were delicious, the passion fruit one

I came here solo this time but I have been here several times!! Osman is a great bartender who can make you which drink you want and taste is on point!!! You willl never regret it! This restaurant has so much to offer! The food, drinks & the ambiance this is your spot to go to. My favorite dish was the short rib pasta 🙌 and I still can’t get it out of my head bc it was so good. You have to come here 🙂

Highly recommend. Went for dinner on a Sunday night, quiet, only about 4 other tables occupied. Service attentive, friendly and pleasant. Food excellent, small-ish menu plus good choice of specials, but all well executed. Good selection and suggestions for wine by the glass. Romantic atmosphere, inside with gorgeous bar, marble tables, or in their “greenhouse” with flowers and view. Price reasonable for what you get considering it’s still NYC.

We discovered the restaurant very spontaneously on the way. From the outside and inside it makes a very clean and sensible impression. We also really liked the decor! The food is formidable! We also really liked the waiter because he was able to give us very good advice. We would be happy to come back on our next visit!

I had brunch with a couple of friends. We sat at the terrace which was really lovely with flowers, such a cute place. The food was amazing. All of it was great, but I am obsessed with their French onion soup, it’s the best thing ever. We were really happy with the service too, everyone was super nice and attentive. I’ll definitely come back, looks like the perfect place for a romantic dinner.

Service was the best we’ve Experienced anywhere in a long time. The food was beautifully presented and delicious especially the salads and branzino and Mussels, and the desserts were Terrific.

This was dinning at its best! French onion soup was excellent and the main courses were super delicious. I recommend the steak frites. Lava cake and creame brule were a perfect way to sum this up. 100% would go again and really recommend it!

An amazing experience at Recette. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is very professional. We had a bartender named Osman who was charming both me and my husband. He whipped up a great matcha cocktail and a few other amazing drinks for us including expresso martini. Loved the experience and cant wait to go again. We also had a birthday brunch there for my sister in May.

Worth it. very nice lampchops. friendly serving nice desert especially the poched pear. if you are looking for something French dish but with decent price, its the place where you want to take your family and friends out. I came here and everything was fantastic! Cocktail Miss O Hara is so good! My friends ordered escargot for the table and French onion soup, both delicious! Two of us had the steak frites and my friend got the short rib cavatelli! we loved it! Also we got the regular crème brûlée and chocolate lava cake! The waitstaff were all friendly and very attentive. Would definitely come back next time I’m in NYC!

The bartender, Osman, effortlessly tuned in to our conversation about espresso martinis and our struggle to find a perfectly made one. He then stepped forward and offered to craft one for us. And with his skill and expertise, he delivered an impeccable drink that left us thoroughly impressed. You all are absolutely awesome!

First and foremost it’s a beautiful place in Williamsburg . Decor is romantic and makes you feel at home.Soon as we came in gentleman met us at the door, greeted us, welcomed us, and took us to the table. We had French onion soup which was delicious served with traditional Gruyère cheese, truffle mushroom flatbread was perfect shared appetizer, and steak frites which was out of this world.Love their fries Touch of Ginger and Oui Mademoiselle were top notch cocktails. Recette gives that Parisian flair to the neighborhood, we definitely going to come back.

My husband and I decided to get dinner . We choose this place and for sure it’s succeeded all our expectations. Lactation is great, atmosphere amazing. Nice decoration and music. Food is excellent and wait stuff great know their job and have a great knowledge about food and drink so if you not sure about your choice they gonna give you a piece of advice and you not gonna regret about your choice. We had octopus, crab cake and steak, desert in the end was a great cherry on top of our dinner .

Amazing service but food was a disappointment. Ate here last night, the service could not have been better, - friendly, helpful, welcoming. The food on the other hand was quite average, the Caesar salad had way too much dressing and not enough anchovies. The duck liver pate looked very processed and definitely not home made. The main courses were average and way too much.

To describe this space in three words- cute, warm, and lovely. A great date spot or for a friends gathering. They have a long bar where you can wait till your party arrives or have a meal there as the bartender seemed pretty friendly. Great wine choices and cocktails are spot on! We had a French onion soup, mussels, Ribeye cooked to perfection and Gnocchi with mushrooms. Finished with Lava cake and dessert wine. Absolutely delicious. Will be back soon!

The staff was very friendly and gave excellent service. We were a party of four. Each ordered two drinks and an entree. Two had onion soup, and we ordered a side of fries for the table. I had chicken au jus. It looked like a Cornish hen and was very dry. I do not recommend it. My husband had the shortrib dish, which was meh. The onion soup was very good. The bill ended up around $400.

What to say: French themed, Serbian owned, Brooklyn priced with a libertine decor in the bathroom. Breakfast was great: had steak and eggs. The portions were nicely sized. If you are looking to bring a date to a breakfast/brunch while in Williamsburgh, this is a prime place. Loved the vibe and the attentivness of the staff. Within walking distance of the Bridge and many other attractions of Williamsburgh.

Me n my friends had a such a great experience here. Cocktails were amazing and food was delicious. Everybody should try mussels and branzino. Servers and bartenders are so respectful, kind and funny.
