Restaurant Week

By Katherine K |

We were here for restaurant week and will certainly be back. The food was wonderful, the salmon cooked just right. Our waiter really knew his ingredients, so it was easy to make an informed choice. We were seated at the window which was lovely.

Excellent gem

We came here on Friday 01/24/25 for restaurant week lunch. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The place is beautiful inside. Our server, David S, was charming and very helpful. I had the smoked salmon on top of potato pancakes with dill creme fraiche and arugula salad. It was delicious. I wouldn’t change a thing. My husband had the gnocchi with whipped goat cheese and fresh peas and mushrooms in a delicious but light cheese manchego cheese sauce. Wonderful. We both had the Belgium chocolate mousse cake for dessert. It was extraordinary and nicely presented. We’ve lived in the area for eight years and this was our first trip here. We will be back. They have a nice happy hour 4:30 - 7pm that we’ll try next.

Good restaurant near Rittenhouse Square.

An elegant restaurant with well prepared food. In our group several people had the Halibut. I had the scallops. All were very good. We shared three appetizers: beef tartare, beet salad and pierogi. We were all very impressed by all of the appetizers. We came at 6 PM on a Thursday with reservations and were the only people. There is nearby prices were high but not excessively so with main dishes at around $42. We did not have dessert. Wait staff were pleasant and service was prompt.

Delicious & cozy!

I recently dined here, and everything from start to finish was outstanding! My halibut was delicious, and the drinks were just as delightful. Our server, Julia, was absolutely fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. The ambience was spot-on, creating a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that set the perfect tone for the night. The staff went above and beyond, making sure we had everything we needed. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend ordering the milk buns—they’re a must-try!

Very disappointing

We arrived on time for our reservation and. Even though there were open tables, we were sent to the very crowded bar to wait for 20 min. That should have been our first clue. We ordered the brioche rolls, scallops, and duck breast. Rolls tasted good but were solid and cold. The duck breast (or rather, the two small slivers of duck breast that we were served) arrived ice cold and extremely dry, paired weirdly with banana bread and no vegetables. The three small scallops that we were served for $42 at least were warm, but so salty as to be barely edible. Service was extremely slow throughout. Portions were so small we left hungry. So…bad service, cold dry salty food, and way overpriced. And it’s a noisy restaurant as well. Hard to believe the good reviews others have given.

Delicious Meal at Aleksandar

Took my husband here for his birthday dinner and was blown away by the space. The staff was nice but the service was a bit slow since they seemed to be overwhelmed. The food was delicious. Would definitely return.

Delicious four-course tasting menu

By Cynthia M |

Food was excellent. My husband and I each chose the four-course tasting menu and shared the ample portions, so we were able to try eight different menu items. Tartare and seared scallops were delicious. Purple potato soup was bland and I would not order it again. Drinks were original and tasty. Service was attentive but not overdone.

Delicious

Delicious apps, especially the foie gras toast and burrata. Great wines. Cool ambiance. Highly recommend for a relaxing, low key evening.
