Fun place.

Great beer/ family and pet friendly. Food trucks, big tv’s indoor and outdoor areas. All around fun place to go hang out. Can’t wait to go back

just ok....

We came here on a recommendation from a couple of people we met on our Seattle brewery tour. They have 24 taps but most of the beer seemed to be minor variations of the same couple of beer types. I didn't feel they had a solid core set of beer like some of the more well respected breweries in the area. The day I visited they seemed to mostly be pouring flights which may be the norm with so many taps. There was a good crowd on the afternoon we visited and it was pretty full within an hour of opening (3 PM). Everyone seemed to be having a good time. I'm not sure I'd visit again with so many other brewery options in the area.

Great Selection

By Russ Lacuata |

Love the indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Good selection of beer on tap. You will definitely find something that will satisfy your taste. Staff are friendly, helpful. Highly Recommended.

Great Seattle Bar

I came here as part of one of those cycle brew tours. The beers were great and the place is a very typical Seattle bar. Would gladly come here again!

A nice little brew pub with an excellent range of beers

By SteveCullen84 |

Sampled a wide range of ales with my family. The tasting platters are great when faced with so much choice!

Fun brewery in Ballard

By loveDCA |

Reuben’s brews is one of many fun breweries within a couple block radius of Ballard - and it’s one of my favorites. A huge selection of beers that run $5/pint. Like others, they don’t have a food menu and instead have partnered with a food truck on the weekends or Zeeks pizza delivery - which also makes them dog friendly!

The Highlight of Ballard

By JC P |

Reuben's is a busy joint with a bartender who can handle his stuff. We arrived right when they opened at 3:00 on a Wednesday and tried 11 different tasters. They were all good. Reuben's has been highly praised and now I see why. The vibe is cool; people sat at tables, inside and out, while others came in for growler fills. I could've stayed here all afternoon. Free pretzels with water on the side. The Ballard neighborhood is ripe with breweries and Reuben's holds the high point. Sit, sip and enjoy.

Good Brews, location has changed

By TheBigTrain |

Take note: Ruebans has moved a few blocks away to 14th Street. Good brews! We bought delicious sandwiches from the food truck outside of Ruebans & enjoyed them with a couple of brews. Casual, dog-friendly atmosphere & a local favorite since the hubs works a few blocks away.

If you are microbrewery beer coniseur this is the place for you

By Sugar Grove Guy |

It is my understanding there are two locations of this microbrewery--I went to the brewery which does not serve food (pretzels are free). Like most Seattle microbreweries-there is both outside and inside seating. separated by a large garage door. What distinguishes this establishment is the number of selections--24 on tap to be exact! Reuben's has won many awards for its products. There are sampling options of 6 different types at $2@-award winning, bartender selection or your own. There are many other brew pubs in the area should food be needed.

Good brewery

By Krumdog89 |

Their quality of the beers here is excellent. One of the best in the Ballard area. They have a really varied selection and they are busy. Find a spot, grab a pint or two or even a flight, and enjoy.

Excellent

By Gabigabs |

This is one of the best brew pubs in Seattle. Exciting selection of beers, super friendly atmosphere. They do not offer food, but often there is a food truck right in front of the entrance, so in case you want a snack with your beer, you don't have to go far.

Great Place kinda tucked away

By Tim98166 |

Having lived in the "Frelard" area years ago, it was a bit surprising to see this place - in a good way! A little off the beaten path, but obviously found by many -- as our visit Saturday afternoon found us mingling with probably a good hundred other folks at the wonderful gem! Didn't get to the food, but the brews are very good. Full disclosure: I rated the food very good, as what I saw and observed it did seem to be well liked. (I wish there was a "N/A" for food.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!

What more do I need to say other than BEER! Ice cold tasty beer! Great staff, fun location with an outdoor patio or indoor seating. Just a good old watering hole! See you soon!

Small brewery in the Ballard/Fremont area

By Robert S |

Our group had a good time checking out the brews with a flight. They found a couple of winners there. The covered outdoor seating was perfect on that good weather day. We brought our own food, plus I has a quesadilla from the QT food truck which was really good.

Love this Brewery!

By MikelAnneA |

We came here during a little tour of some Ballard breweries. What a great place! It's big. There's also a lot of outdoor seating and a food truck. They had a kolsh on tap which always makes me happy. We were there during a Seahawks game and there was a TON of energy in that place!

Nice place off the beaten path

By Tim98166 |

Great selection of brews, but most of them fall to the fad of IPAs. Beyond that, a great low-key place. Food trucks vary the food offerings. The bar tender lAst time I was there was nothing more than a breathing human, no personality, and did not appear to know anything about the beer - kind hard to sell something if you are a dead fish! Worked around him though so they could take my money anyways. Don't let the lame staff get in the way of good beer.

Favorite Ballard Brewery

By MNteacher |

Of all the breweries in Ballard, we liked this one best. They had a wide variety of interesting choices. The strawberry rhubarb sour was delicious. It had a lot of strawberry flavor, almost like it had some purée in it.

Reubans rocked on their 3-year anniversary celebration!

By Dave O |

Reubans was jam-packed with a young crowd on their Saturday night, three-year anniversary celebration. My friend Terry and I must have been decades older than almost anyone else there; nonetheless, we felt right at home in this popular neighborhood pub. In fact, we had a delightful conversation with a lovely, young Ballard woman (who kindly offered to snap our photo!) and her very tall, handsome boyfriend from Vancouver, WA. The selection of microbrews at Reubans is absolutely mind-boggling for such a small brew-pub, and the prices are reasonable. The rugged hardwood interior, while beautiful, makes it a bit difficult to carry on a conversation. However, after a couple of beers, my friend and I were shouting to be heard among the best of the young crowd! The packed outdoor seating area was definitely the place to be on this cool and cloudy Seattle evening. We will definitely be back to check it out on a less crowded evening, or at the very least, to pick up a growler or two!

Customer Service Lacking

By PickyInSeattle |

They have a great beer selection and a few non-beer options. We like the outdoor seating and atmosphere but with so many other breweries in Ballard, I probably would not return to this one primarily because the bartenders were not friendly, not helpful and borderlined on being rude. I kept this opinion to myself but our friends actually mentioned it to us the next day saying they had fun but they thought the servers were rather rude.

Great craft brews

By Brian F |

I stopped in to fill a growler while on a trip, they were really friendly and have great beer! I would highly recommend for people who appreciate good beer, no run of mill brews here

Crowded, for a reason

By jonathanpalmbeach |

Saturday afternoon and the place was packed with good reason. So many delicious brews on tap. Something for everyone, just keep sampling!

Great beers

By Dcrusher81 |

While in Seattle, a friend of mine, which is also a beer connoisseur, recommended me a visit to Reuben's Brews. I am quite picky when it comes to beers, trying them in every country I visit, always looking for the best ones (and looking for the best deals as well) and I have to say that this place has highly pleased me. The quality is indeed great, people are friendly and the atmosphere is very cool. If you love IPA as well, you must visit Reuben's while in Seattle.

Great spot, strong beer!

By Foreverliz10 |

My boyfriend and I visited Reuben's on a Friday evening. It was pretty busy and its a small taproom but we managed to find some standing room. The beer was good and some of it was very strong, we got a flight each. I liked that they had pretzels available to eat while you drank, the perfect snack for me. It's dog friendly and there were some huge but gorgeous dogs in there while we drank. I didn't try the food from the truck outside but it looked delicious. I'd go there again.

Great Beer • Rude, Worthless Staff

By DanNowlan |

I stopped by this place a while back to try a flight or two of beer. While some of the beer is really good including the Marzen, Air of the Night (Baltic-style porter), and especially Imperial IPA (American-style), the staff are downright rude and unhelpful. That part of it was very disappointing. I wouldn't go back for free beer.

An Amazing Cultural Phenomena

By JudgeT |

The lower Ballard area and all of its beer tasting rooms is quite a cultural scene and probably unique to Seattle with its many craft beers. Our kids took us on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed with families and young 30's. It was great people watching and I was amazed that the food was supplied by a food truck out front. Beer is great my kids tell me, as I can take or leave beer, usually for the hard stuff!

Great place

By Doug L |

This is a great place for meeting friends for beers. No food, though usually a food truck out front, and lots of folks bring their own food in. Similar to nearby Stoup (which is also terrific), but an even greater selection of beers. Reasonably kid-friendly for a beer place, and extremely dog-friendly. One of maybe 3-4 main places for getting together with friends, which says a lot in such a beer-friendly city as Seattle. Service is fine, though there can be long waits depending on the length of the line waiting to order.

IPA Heaven

By David W |

We spent an afternoon walking around this part of town stopping at different breweries. We liked Reuben's the best! Despite having a long list of IPA's to choose from, they have plenty of other choices. Everything we tried, we enjoyed. Our favorite was a hazy IPA with pineapple and coconut notes. (Oh, and be sure to check out the R2D2 art in the bathroom. They should move that thing out into the main room!!)

Nice atmosphere

By Joanne V |

Food was ok, I have had way better Mexican food elsewhere, but I liked how it's decorated. I might come back so my husband can enjoy the albondigas soup, he said it was really good.

Lots of IPA

By Vegandmore |

Hopping little spot with over 8 of their own IPAs on tap. Liked most of them too. Really good spot, esp outdoors. Were playing the game on a huge screen. Could get as many or few samples as you want. Grill cheese food truck showed up that was good.

Amazing

By st w |

Great beer, great time. This place has amazing beer. The selection is good. I stuck to the IPAs, but they have something for everyone.

So many beers to choose from

By Steve F |

I love the new location, just a couple of blocks from the original. Very casual neighborhood vibe and the beers, oh my. More than twenty to choose from in a variety of styles. Everything our group of six sampled was first rate. I'm just glad they offer the 4 oz tasters, so you can explore the menu. They have a rotating food truck outside, so there's no excuse for not staying around for awhile. Great place!

Small casual neighborhood brewery

By Marco W |

This is a great little brewpub. Small and casual, Reubens has both indoor and outdoor seating. Outside is covered but open. The day I visited there were 24 taps offered. Inside has a large screen TV but it isn’t a sports bar. If you are riding on the BurkeGilman, it is only a few minutes off the path.

Spoil yourself

By BeerVenturer |

Hip spot in Ballard with a fabulous selection of beers. I had a flight of IPAs and enjoyed them all. Common tables - make new friends! Dog friendly.

Great place in Seattle!

By Jim P |

We met our daughter in Seattle and visited Reuben's prior to and after our trip to Glacier National Park. We highly recommend their food, particularly their chicken sandwich. The beers for all 4 of us were outstanding. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well.

Loved this place!

By YearoftheRabbit |

We loved the beer here and highly recommend this if you are in the area. Seems a bit out of the way but obviously a local favorite. Friendly staff and seating both indoors and outdoors. Will be back for sure!

Cool Brewery

By Mona M |

They have a huge selection of beers, at least 4-5 different kinds of each beer! Not often you see this at small breweries but these guys most work hard to make all these beers. Definitely a great brewery!

Great new location for Reuban's

By LavenderSeattle |

We stopped by the other evening to try their brews and were pleasantly surprised. They had just recently moved to a new location. It provides indoor as well as outdoor seating. the beers we tried were very tasty and the atmosphere was nice as it opens up to view the stainless tanks in the back. They do not serve food, other than a bowl of pretzels, but you can order pizza from Zeeks and they deliver with a 15% discount for the patrons of the brewery.

Really Great Brew Pub

By Tall66 |

This is a great local micro brewery that does some really great beers. A large selection with a very high ABV content, they offer a number of IPA's as well as Stouts, all with a unique twist that has won them a number of awards.

Tiny fish and chips, save your money

By Will T |

Was very disappointed, ordered the fish and chips and received 1 small and 2 other TINY pieces of fish.... Was our first time trying this place and will never order again, they HAD to know that any customer would be disappointed with this order and it should never have left the kitchen

Reuben's does not disappoint!!

By believer4ever |

Of all the breweries one can visit in the Ballard area, Rueben's is consistently one of the best. Their brews are always cold, fresh, and tasty. the food trucks they have as well are well chosen.

Definitely a boutique craft brewery located in a small industrial area

By Travel_Guy_2015 |

It is definitely a boutique craft brewery located in a small industrial area. Nice to have a food truck parked in front of the place. Beer was nicely made.

Not really a restaurant!

By Raintree_Thailand |

Reuben's is not really a restaurant, unless you make a habit of drinking your dinner! If that's the case, you're in IPA heaven! Great beer selection. Food is limited to free pretzels and orders from a rotating fleet of food trucks.

Great beer selection...

By jefferylesq |

From the looks of the crowd on the Friday afternoon I visited this place does not need my review, but here it is anyway... I was impressed with the number of house-brewed beers on tap. It was well over 20. I had a pale ale and it was solid. Also got a bottle of IPA for later and it was also very good. I can’t wait to go back and check out more of their beers. The wall of award metals tells me they know what they are doing and I am sure there are more great beers to be enjoyed here. My only complaint is the noise. It was difficult to talk to others in our group because it was so loud. Annoying for patrons, but a great problem to have for the business owner.
