I have to say, I had one bad experience here (that was this morning) but for me to come on here and say this place was awful based on one transaction out of the numerous visits, would be ridiculous. Let me start with the good: Firstly, MONSTROUS sized sandwiches. I mean these things are huge. Secondly, Beast. He's an awesome guy. Exceptional service on his part. He and I bonded yesterday over Brad Pitt's performance in Snatch, Guy Ritchie and Tarintino films. To call the man a nice guy is a massive understatement. Thirdly, the quality/quantity; you're not going to find a quality deli style eatery anywhere near here unless you go to the General Muir in Decatur. And to be honest, that place is overrated and overpriced. Reuben's is a fantastic bang for your buck. Finally, the Reuben sandwich. Just do it. Rye, 1000 island, enormous helping of pastrami, sauerkraut. Boom. Done. The bad... This morning, I ordered a wheat bagel with lox schmear, advertised for $2.19 on the menu. I got to the counter- it ended up being ~$6.5. If there's a mark-up for the lox, that's fine, but they should note it on the menu or let the customer know. Now, when I got to the table and opened my bagel, there was maybe a .5 - 1 tablespoon of cream cheese and maybe .5 of a gram of shredded salmon. The schmear didn't even cover the entire bagel, it was just thrown together with a laughable amount of effort. As I was leaving, I found it a bit humorous that Reuben's throws together these insanely generous sized sandwiches, but they sprinkle a TINY bit of salmon between two slices of a bagel and charge ~$6.5. Now, if there wasn't a MASSIVE catering order that they were all working on, I would've asked for a new bagel, especially for $6.5. However, I am in the food industry and I know how catering/food prioritization works. So, if it's a problem again, I'll talk to the person in charge. NEVERTHELESS, this place is amazing. It truly lives up to the NY Deli feel, with fresh meats prepared and cut daily, massive sandwiches and offerings. Definitely 5-Stars.

Hubs had the reuben, I had the cuban (not authentic, but tasty), Munchkin had ham and cheese. Very good sandwiches piled high with meat, great service.

Best sandwiches. Grilled cheese and chili on a cold day...mmmm.

Visited here whilst waiting for the line to enter the aquarium to shorten. I ordered the New Yorker & Hubby had the Reuben. Both were excellent with a choice of bread and tons of delicious meat. They also have sides and dessert (the cheesecake looked amazing) but the sandwiches are so huge it would be impossible to partake unless you split the sandwich. Definitely a New York style deli with plenty of shtick dished out. Great value for money and only a short walk from Centennial Olympic Park & attractions around there. Will be back next time we visit Atlanta.

Dropped in here mid morning for a nice cup of iced tea on a hot Atlanta afternoon. Got talking with the owner and were impressed with the menu and the constant stream of regular customers, we decided to return and sample what the regulars were coming in for. Well at midday we were greeted with a shop packed to the rafters with customers, as we soon found out, there is a reason for that. We ordered the daily special, which was made very quickly, got another cup of iced tea and shared the sandwich, which was one of the tastiest and freshest sandwiches we have had. Excellent...... NYC style deli with outstanding customer service, price, food freshness and a fun place to be in when it is busy.

Seriously. I have never had a biscuit so good at a restaurant. Don't let the chains fool you into thinking they know breakfast biscuits. The eggs are real. The sausage is tasty. The cheese is melted on perfectly. When I make my breakfast sandwiches at home, this is what they are like. I also enjoy a bagel and cream cheese from time to time. They lather it up and cut it in half so you can enjoy it. For lunch it gets packed, so I usually grab my sandwich when I'm there in the morning. Freshly sliced Boar's Head meats. It doesn't get much better in downtown.

Tasty sandwiches with wide variety of toppings. Sandwich staff was very animated and fun. Good local favorite to check out!

I found this restaurant on uber eats. I had the Turkey club with double meat. If was big enough for my wife and I to eat. I'm a picky eater but this place blew me away which is not easy because I'm fat. Will definitely go back.

Awesome - exactly what we wanted and got it. Best home-made Pastrami Reuben we've ever had. Gotta have spicy mustard too. Better than Katz & Carnegie Deli's in NYC or any other deli. Constant line and quick friendly service at Noon time. See you next time we're in town. G&L, Tryon, NC

I am fortunate to work within walking distance of this family-owned deli located in downtown Atlanta. Being a transplant from the North, I was thrilled to come across this authentic deli with large sandwiches, piled high with quality meats. It has a bit of a hurried, but humorous, NY attitude as well, which I find refreshing. The sandwiches are consistently good resulting in occasional lines at noon, but they always move quickly. This is simply a safe bet for lunch.

My mother and i decided to walk up to this deli for lunch when we got inside I felt like I was back home in the city quick fast style line ordering and they were not shy on the meat! This sandwich was so large I had to pack up the second half and bring it home and what a great bite to eat it was later. I will be back probably this weekend, lol

The place is usually packed but we were lucky to visit Reuben’s Deli on Tuesday at 11am and it was not as crazy as usual. We ordered the Reuben and it was delicious. If you are in the area and you are looking for a good sandwich, I recommend visiting this place.

Awesome deli in the downtown area. Sandwichs are pricey but the portions are huge and you definitely don't leave hungry. The staff is friendly , funny and food is always fast and fresh.. would recommend if in ghe area.

Claudio and his staff are friendly and efficient, making some of the best sandwiches and salads in the city. A bit pricey, but worth it for the quality/quantity of the food.

Love Reubens! I've been eating here for many years and the food is always delicious. Sandwiches are made with a mound of fresh meat and the sides are awesome!!

Traveled from doing a Home Inspection and heard many news about this place ,cause I wanted a real pastrami Reuben sandwich . Next Ill want the New Yorker sandwich. Mahalo Reubens Deli you made my Day

Just a short distance away from the more tourist-y part of ATL...it was exactly what I was looking for. Reuben's will give you a taste of NYC...and serve it with good conversation and a great vibe. Reuben was working the day we were there...and as locals know, he's quite the character. He doesn't mince words. And, it's best not to be on your cell at his counter. Being in business for 28 years should tell you something!

The sandwich was extremely good. The problem is the cast of characters. They have working there extremely unfriendly. I was going to sit down and enjoy the sandwich, but I left because it felt so awkward. The young kid behind the counter where the sandwich’s are is it pushy and then he proceeded to talk to me in the third person talk about rude !!! 4/2/ 25 at 1:15 pm

Great sandwich decently priced the place is old the staff are great need to try this place for lunch

Great deli with a NYC feel and taste in the heart of Atlanta. Location is great on Broad, atmosphere is fun and the sandwiches are great.

Ordered the chicken salad on Rye to be delivered.. the sandwich had a seriously small portion in the middle of the bread with none within a 1/4 inch of the edges. my suggestion is either get smaller bread or larger portions of chicken salad. Definitely not close to being worth 10 bucks.

Excellent choice if you are around the Downtown area of Atlanta. The food, the music, and the persons in charge rank as an AAA service... Great experience!

The store is not very big. We were party of 8 adults and we had to separate to 3 tablets. A variety of omelets. Staff are nice and friendly.

There are fairly few sandwich shops that will ask "Corned beef or pastrami?" when you order a Rueben. Here, they not only do that, but both options are good. If you want a sandwich with top-quality meat that you can fully customize, this is your place.

I can see why this restaurant was voted best deli in Atlanta. Had their specialty Reuben and it was definitely worth it. The sandwich was piled high (about 2 inches) worth of meat. The sandwiches are a little pricey, but you could actually split one with a friend and still be full afterwards.

Very good NY-style deli - authentic food, including good soups and sides. Big sandwiches, and not super expensive. Skip the chains and join the chaotic scene at lunchtime. Board's Head meats, tons of variety in terms of bread and lots of sandwich toppings - I loved it and plan to go again.

We went here based on Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint! Great sandwiches and really friendly staff. There were a lot of customers, but they moved everyone along very quickly.

My sandwich was made incorrectly and when I addressed it to the owner I was told that I didn't order it how I said I did. I order the same thing every time. They then proceeded to scrape the old meat off and put the new meat on, and were unapologetic. If you value how you are treated as a individual, DO NOT PATRON THIS PLACE!

First time visit......first of many to come! Soups made in house. Butternut Squash soup is at the top of my list. Service was spectacular Can’t wait to try breakfast

While walking downtown on a Saturday, I was struggling to find something open, and not a chain that I can go to anywhere. That's when I found Reuben's! The servings are huge, my mom and I could've split a sub. Tiny little place, probably a big workday lunch place, but I am so glad we found it. They staff was helpful (I'm sure they could tell it was our first time by our blank stares at the menu, haha)! The food was excellent, wish I had one of these where I lived!

I am a GSU grad student and went there yesterday to order a turkey & cheese sandwich. I took 1 bite of the turkey and it tasted like it had peppercorns in it. I immediately brought the sandwich to the counter and told them I couldn't eat it because it was so spicy. After an initial push-back, the woman agreed to make a new sandwich and told me I could leave the uneaten sandwich outside for "the homeless." After a few minutes I went back to the counter to get the new sandwich and she said, "that will be $6.79." I couldn't believe it. I demanded to know why she offered to re-make the sandwich without telling me she would charge me (I had already paid +$10 for the awful sandwich, chips and drink). She refused to budge and actually THREW AWAY THE SANDWICH INSTEAD OF GIVING IT TO A PAYING CUSTOMER! I will never go there again.

With the lunch hour hustle, you'd swear this was Manhattan. "Tualk ta me..whaddaya havin'?" Good quality corned beef and pastrami with ample portions and nice outdoor seating when the weather's nice. Just what a deli should be.

For years, a happy sandwich customer. Been here many times and plan to go whenever I'm downtown Atlanta. Delicious sandwiches. It seems a bit hectic esp at noon, but pick any sandwich on the up on the wall menu and in turn shout out what you want and get yourself ready for a great eats.

Unassuming place with good food and exceptional service. We both chose whole sandwiches, but should have gone for the 1/2! We both stopped after half and were satisfied. (I could have finished, but would have been miserable!)

I've found a few deli's around Atlanta that were good, but I think, this takes the cake. Their sandwiches are very, very good. I got the New Yorker and the East Sider, I can see why this place was voted best deli in Atlanta and one of the best nation wide. They are that good. Old style charm with that good old fashioned feel. Next time I'll try the burgers, franks and knish. I miss my home NY, but I'm very happy I found this place. Plus great prices for their sandwiches.

Best food ever - all of our party were blown away by the food standard here - even us coeliacs had a great lunch - try it.

I had the the Reuben sandwich and it was delicious and very filling. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful and there was lots of it. I would have liked it served on a darker rye bread as the bread didn't hold up very well. My favorite part of the meal however was the coleslaw. It was sweet but so tasty. Luckily I came right before the lunch rush. When I left there was a queue going out the door.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life. I chose the godfather and was not disappointed. Lots of meat, fresh toppings, and fresh bread. The atmosphere seems intense at first, but it actually becomes fun when you get used to it.

This is the best NYC deli in the South. Better than Katz - I was there last summer. Claudio is awesome!

They have really big and delicious sandwiches, the price is also great and the attendants are very friendly, kinds and willing to help you explaining the ingredients, they speak other languages so it is very internationally friendly! I definitely recommend this place if you are in Downtown Atlanta!

On reviews I ventured out in search of Rubens Deli in Atlanta. I was expecting drop dead Deli. What I found was mediocrity. Ok I'll give them credit for atmosphere, it looked like an old NY Deli. First the bread Soft Crust light weight dough no Ny Deli would serve this cafeteria style bread. I had the New Yorker. corned beef, pastrami and swiss. The corned beef was so so a litle rubbery. however the pastrami taste was just ok. But the meat was fatty chewy and fullnof gristle. Not worth the trip. I get better drli jome at Westside Deli in Weston Florida.

It was my first time going, however, it will not be my last. The staff was great and all had personality? The sandwich was good with good quality meat. The previous comment referring to it being overly expensive is inaccurate in my opinion. To be in the heart of a major city, that is to be expected. For satisfying quality, then go to Ruben's. If you want some cheap quality sandwich, then go to any Subway, jimmy johns, etc on any street corner.

Very busy you need to know what you want, the line is quite long. But the food is excellent lots of choice and lots of variations. Eat in or take away. If you are in Atlanta this is a must.

Let's start with: the food is very good, juicy and legit. Getting it is have the fun. After reading the 'instructions' on the wall, you realize that when someone blurts out "something something something (not sure)" you have to raise your voice, and shout out your order to someone whose back is turned to you. Shout out the sandwich, the bread, the fixins. It was fun! The turkey club was about 1 pound of nicely sliced turkey and ham on whole wheat. Very good. Worth 2 meals for about 8 bucks. Try it sometime. It's a gas.

I had lunch with my wife here while visiting Atlanta and were not disappointed. The New Yorker which is a corned beef sandwich with cheese was great, along with a potato knish. We are from New York and felt this deli does Atlanta proud!

Lines can be long at lunch but you move quickly. Great sandwiches, good service and reasonable prices. This is the closest thing to a New York deli in Atlanta.

Great sandwich, it was huge, plenty of meat and the staff was fun, I will be back when I am in Atlanta

every sandwich on the menu is amazing and they have homemade knish. also try their great soups. a true NY deli.

I went there during lunch time during the middle of the week, so the work crowd was a bit too much, about a 15 min wait to order. The menu board is not clear leading to confusion if not a regular and ordering process confusing. The food itself was very good for a sandwich place and the portion and price was fair. I would recommend it based on the food itself, the ordering process in itself, I could have done without

Wonderful deli...everything on the menu, and yes...Reubens!

Unless you work or live downtown Atlanta, it is a very frustrating experience trying to find decent parking without paying as much as the cost of your meal. Today was my lucky day, because I found a meter with a little time still remaining!!! It was about 2 blocks away, so I had a brisk walk over to Broad St. This little street is loaded with places to eat. There were so many great smelling restaurants, I NEARLY change my mind about eating a sandwich, but I persisted onwards to Reuben's about half way down the block. I got lucky again because it was noon on Friday and there was no line!!! I had already called ahead to find out what the most popular sandwiches were and after placing my order, I began a conversation with another first timer standing behind me. Well, that got me into a little trouble with the sandwich makers because I wasn't paying attention when they called out for my toppings. After giving me a hard time, I requested the "normal" toppings that accompany the 'East Sider' sandwich (along with provolone cheese). Well, it wasn't long before I got in trouble again, because I requested my sandwich "grilled" a little later than I should have... LOL!!!! Once again I got the side eye look and given another hard time, but truthfully it was all in fun. Before long we were laughing about my lack of ordering finesse and a few minute later, my order was ready. I hurried back to my car (after stopping for a slice of pizza) trying to beat paying the meter. Since my sandwich was not very hot, I decided to wait until I got home to reheat it for the best experience. OH MY GOD!!!! I love this sandwich. Being born and breed in the North, Pastrami and Corn Beef are staple sandwiches that were part of my childhood diet. THESE GUYS took it up a notch with the cole slaw and 1000 Island dressing. Good food puts me in a good mood... and I'm in a REALLY GOOD MOOD right now!!! The sandwich juices from my fingers are all over my computer keyboard right now (as I try to write this review), but I don't care. I had to tell someone as soon as possible how much I enjoyed this awesome meal!!!! The owner will likely start charging me rent soon, because I'm gonna be a regular for sure. Lawd hammercy this sandwich was good!!! PS Would love it even more if they offered french fries!!!!

Funny thing wife commented they don't seem attentive. I said you didnt read the sign, its NY baby "yell your order out, watch it made, eat it". I had ham swiss on rye and she had ruben. They were huge and tons meat had to take some meat off to get it in my mouth. We were there about 3pm this place is only morn lunch closes at 5pm. I can imagine the line at lunch, the place is small very limited seating maybe 10 to 15 tables. If you want a "real" deli this is it

it was a great experience in this place ... the cashier, an Argentinian man, made the difference ... excellent food and recommendations ... you have to take a breakfast there

Serious approach to old school NY Deli. Line up, yell out your order, don't waste anyone's time. The food is great, place is minimalistic but who cares, the food is great.

I found this place late in my stay in Atlanta. Everything on the menu is great and the staff is the best (if not a little crazy). They most always had my stress reducing chocolate chip cookies when I needed them. Wish I would have found them sooner.

EAT IT! I was looking for a place that served deli sandwiches and walked for about 20 minutes before stumbling on Reubens. Turns out, it's the best sandwich in Atlanta. Lives up to the reputation. Amazing.

This is a deli, NY style, near the Peachtree Center MARTA station. Decor- noting to write home about, chairs and tables in an old building, most people get to go and there is a park nearby. Food- great! A wide variety of sandwiches/salads etc. Service - amazing. Think soup Nazi from Seinfield only funny and friendly. They will banter with you while you order and while they prepare your food. If they make suggestions about condiments etc, take them! There were 3 of us and we had 3 different sandwiches, they are huge, and the absolute stand out was the Reuben- amazing. It kind of makes your whole day fun with the quality of the food and the entire experience you get.

This was a pleasant surprise....a NY style deli in Atlanta. Pastrami sandwich is stacked high on A+ rye. Great side choices too. You can go wrong here. Fast, friendly service.

This place is located in a spot where you are surrounded by a wide variety of eateries which will tempt you in, and you might be tempted to skip this deli in favor of more exotic fare. Do yourself a favor, and don't. This is a place that other deli's should aspire to be. It can be a busy place on a fair weather day, but the line moves quickly, and the food is worth it. I have yet to have a sandwich there that wasn't simply delightful. They don't skimp on the meat, either. All of the ingredients have excellent flavor, and the employees know how to blend it together into a culinary delight.

If you enjoy a bit of history with your meal, ask the owner to tell you stories about this part of Atlanta. We learned so much while eating delicious sandwiches and soup, sitting outside on a beautiful afternoon. We did a Segway tour in the morning, then walked to this recommended place for lunch. It was perfect!

Great Reuben sandwich! Of course you would expect it from a place with that name. Hope to get back to try some of their other offerings.

Great food, quick, great service. One of the best places to eat in Atlanta. We ordered a Cajun Turkey sandwich and a Turkey Reuben.

We came here not knowing much about this place, but we love to try restaurants so why not? I got the Turkey Club sandwich and I must say, I was honestly quite surprised with the size it was, it was quite huge! However, it was delicious too, best turkey sandwich I may have ever had, also highly recommend the honeynut wheat bread, very good! My dad had ordered The Reuben, and that one was also very good as well. Now I want to travel all the way down to Atlanta more because this was fantastic. Very friendly staff, great food, awesome location, what could be better?

Eh. Good sandwiches. Good staff. Not amazing but better than most.

Fantastic food even for me, who needs gluten free food. Well worth a visit. Great food, great service

What a neat place! It's got personality and a staff that entertains you. And the food was fantastic!

Really enjoyed this restaurant. It wasn't all the easily located, make sure you use your navigator. This was a delicious Reuben sandwich with corned beef (you can get it with pastrami). We had the pasta salad, macaroni salad, and cucumber salad. My sister-in-law said that the macaroni salad reminded her of her childhood, the other two salads had a great deal of vinegar in them. My husband also go the Chicken Pot Pie soup which he devoured.

Will remind you of a New York Deli! Get there early as they have long lines. Also, know what you want as things move fast and they do not have time for you to stand there and make up your mind. They serve Boars Head meats & gourmet breads. The sandwiches are HUGE and the prices very reasonable for the amount you get!!!

I stumbled into this place on a recent work trip. I normally have a lot of time to research where I am going to eat, but not this time. What a fantastic gastronomical experience! I am now home, 6 hours away and scheming as to when I might taste this fantastical meat experience again! I had the New Yorker which is blessed with two of the most wonderful meats on earth - corned beef and pastrami. Everything was perfection - including the bread. Do not miss out on this experience - come hungry!

First time here, saw Reubens while walking down the alley and went inside for lunch. Awesome atmosphere, tried the ruenben and the Olympic best 11 bucks per sandwich you'll ever spend 10/10 would eat agian

I never felt so close to New York City in Atlanta until I stopped in for a Reuben at Reuben's Deli. My Reuben was so good, that I ordered sandwiches for my colleagues--four of whom had never had a Reuben! I was happy to make the introduction.

this place has great sandwiches, pretty quick service, and very consistent. kind of have to know the process before stepping up to order. NEXT HERE means yell to the man what kind of sandwich, on what bread, then wait 30 seconds, then all the toppings you want. kind of hectic but very good food. nice to eat on broad st if the weather is decent, but outdoor seating fills up fast. line will be out the door at 12 on a weekday.

Great breakfast place behind Peachtree. It felt like we were a bit off the tourist trail, and most of the other customers there seemed to be business workers, popping in to get a takeaway. Lovely, freshly cooked food, such as omelettes - with a huge variety of fillings - and burritos. My only slight quibble is the expectation that you will leave a minimum gratuity of 15%, when you both order and collect your food from the counter. Maybe this is normal in the US, but I think for a gratuity, you should get a bit of service!

If you're looking for a great deli with sandwiches 8" thick, this is the place for you. The "Classic" was incredible. Several locals told us to go here, and we were not disappointed.

This place is right across the street from me and has been for the 8 yrs. I've lived here, yet I hardly ever go there and didn't go even when I was working at home. Why? OVERPRICED! Way way overpriced! Not at all impressed.

Parking is impossible but- I enjoyed the New Yorker sandwich! Fast Service. I risked a ticket where I parked- but today was my Lucky day! No Ticket- Great Sandwich!

After reading the reviews, my family had to eat at this restaurant. From the moment we entered, we felt right at home. The guys behind the counter yelling out orders and asking what we wanted. They were joking with customers and striking up conversation. There were 4 of us that ordered and we had Philly Beef, Ham and Cheese, an Olympic and of course a traditional Reuben Sandwich. The portions were big and the deli meats and veggies were fresh. The prices were very reasonable and overall experience was awesome. If we go back to Atlanta again, we will definitely be headed to Reuben's. We did stop in after 2pm, so it may be pretty crazy during busier times.

The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and fresh! Our family ordered 4 different sandwiches and they were almost more than we could eat. If you leave hungry, that’s your fault! I highly recommend this deli if you’re looking for a great sandwich. The service was wonderful too!

This place was a real find. The Reuben was superb and the atmosphere was friendly. You could tell the owner loved what he was doing and all the workers were enjoying themselves.

Fantastic service and food, reuben himself came out to ask us what type of food we were looking for as we were reading his menu, no pressure to eat there but glad we did

Oh my it was so good! The portions are extremely large. The Reuben was divine, but people in my party bragged on the turkey sandwhich, butter nut squash soup, chili with cheese on top. We loved it all!

I came across Reuben's when I was having a little walk after being cooped up in the hotel room all morning feeling poorly. I wasn't with it much so was a bit slow knowing what to order and what all the different options were - I ended up ordering a grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough - and it was delicious! I was watching them slice all the fresh meat and I think next time I will definitely order a more exciting sandwich!

This place is like stepping into South NYC! ...WAYYY South! The owner was a funny guy that was gonna run another patron away for daring to ask for bleu cheese on his Reuben Sandwich! I had a hot pastrami and when I saw they had Boylan's Birch Beer on the self-serve fountain, I was in love... possibly even LUST! It was perfectly prepared and the local color was, well, colorful to say the least!

We were excited to find this deli the evening we came to Atlanta and came to try it out the next morning without having read any reviews. Each of us tried something different and we were all under impressed. The bagels that are purportedly shipped daily from H&H in New York tasted nothing like the H&H bagels in New York, which we have had often. The other breakfast and deli items we tried were fine, but nothing special. Everything was edible, just nothing to rave about, which is why we were shocked when the following day we happened upon the review of Reuben's on trip advisor. We certainly wouldn't give this place more than three stars.

We visited Atlanta on business and faced three days of rain where we didn't have much of a chance to explore the core of the city where we were staying. As luck would have it, the day of our departure was beautiful and sunny. We were on the hunt for breakfast and actually were standing in front of another restaurant, when a local stopped and asked if we were looking for a breakfast spot. He suggested Reuben's Deli. This deli means business; we were there in the morning but I imagine that it would be busy at lunch hour. Deli meat looks amazing; lots of options for breakfast. I had an omelette, turkey sausage and a pancake (all the breakfast have names and unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of mine). The latte was really good; in fact the best that I had in Atlanta. The staff was awesome, anticipating your needs and doing so in a very friendly, welcoming manner. We chatted with a gentleman who I assume was the owner; you could see that he took great pride in his food and business. I was very impressed with this spot and wish we had found it on the first day of our stay. This deli is the real deal.

The food, some of the staff is great and some of them should not work with people. I am a college student at Georgia State University so its a great quick bite for lunch but you cant get out of there with out spending at least $8. And the sandwiches are not like foot longs they're like a sandwich on round loaf slices. Its great food but pricey.

Walked in and was greeted right away. The gentleman making the sandwiches was extremely nice and pleasant. The prices for the sandwiches was in line with the amount of meat and toppings on each. Needless to say, most people won't finish their sandwich!

We went in on a Saturday which is a slow day. That makes it the perfect day to go! We were able to talk to the owner who made some GREAT recommendations!

Went in for lunch on a busy Saturday. Three or four staff working and all seemed to really care that we enjoyed our meal. I asked about one of the types of turkey and they gave me a sample. I ordered a turkey with coleslaw and 1000 Island on rye. It was huge and my husband and I shared it -- happy we didn't order two! It was very good and we would definitely return.

Wow!! Great place! Service and food were above and beyond!! Thanks for a great experience!! Will definitely be back soon!!

AWESOME food and INCREDIBLY friendly service!!! We ordered the Italian, the American, & a grilled cheese - all were fresh and delicious.

This is your typical deli with excellent sandwiches and coffee. It's located downtown so a great place for lunch.

This is the best deli I've been to in the state of Georgia. I had a turkey sandwich on eye bread. The bread was fresh as was the turkey. You could get chips on the side and the prices are decent, especially with the size of the sandwich you get. The service was friendly when I walked in and it was a great experience all around. This is the perfect place to go for lunch!

This is a great little restaurant. We went here from the State Capitol. It was a bit of a walk but not a problem. Parking is not easy downtown. We had 3 different sandwiches (all were fantastic, especially the Club). My Reuban was AMAZABELLES!! Reuban himself took our money and we also bought cookies (made daily by his daughter) and cheesecakes fresh from Carnegie Deli in NYC (soooooo goooood)!! We also got chilli and butternut squash soup (made fresh daily and also awesome). Prices are good for all that you get. My daughters were slow in ordering because they were indecisive, in spite if the short line, everyone was patient and kind!! His staff is friendly, the food is great. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Reuban is like friends with everyone as soon as they walk in the door.

If you're a fan of a classic hot pastrami sandwich, Reuben’s Deli delivers a satisfying experience that hits (almost) all the right notes. The Pastrami The star of the show—the pastrami—is tender, flavorful, and packed with a perfect balance of smokiness and spice. It’s sliced just right—not too thick, not too thin—and piled generously on the sandwich. Each bite melts in your mouth, with just the right amount of fat to keep it juicy without being greasy. The Bread A hot pastrami sandwich is only as good as the bread that holds it together, and Reubens does not disappoint. The rye bread is fresh, with a slightly crisp crust and a soft interior. Wasn’t toasted, so the juiciness from the pastrami made it Toppings & Condiments A smear of spicy brown mustard gives the sandwich a nice tang, complementing the richness of the meat. No frills here—just the essentials, done right. If you prefer extra toppings like Swiss cheese or sauerkraut, they offer options, but the sandwich stands strong on its own. Portion & Presentation This is the kind of sandwich that makes you pause before taking your first bite—stacked high, beautifully layered, and almost too big to hold. It comes with a side of crisp dill pickles, which add the perfect crunch and acidity to balance the meal. Overall Experience The atmosphere at Reubens is classic and inviting, with a no-nonsense, New York-style deli feel. Service is quick and efficient, and the staff knows their sandwiches. At around $12.83, it’s not the cheapest lunch option, but for the quality and portion size, it’s well worth it. Final Verdict For a proper hot pastrami fix, Reubens delivers in nearly every way. Whether you’re a die-hard pastrami fan or just craving a satisfying, well-made sandwich, this spot is worth a visit, although the price is somewhat high. No military discount and parking is terrible.

This is one of the best deli sandwiches I have ever had. Super fresh! Homemade soups were to die for. Great Value

Reuben's makes one of the best egg salad sandwiches I have had in Atlanta. The prices are reasonable and it is located in a very active (at lunchtime) and walkable part of town.

Amazing experience. True New York style to just yell out an order, they are interactive and fun. The sandwiches are of the highest quality. Prices are fair for how large the sandwiches are. I got the classic and could only finish half of it. Don’t forget to yell the type of bread and sauce you want. I will be back any time I’m in Atlanta. They do close at 4pm so make sure to get there for lunch, it’s worth a bit of a walk if your hotel is further.

After spending almost 3 hours at the aquarium, we walked up to the streetcar and then specifically looked for this deli. Read reviews this was a fantastic place and this was an understatement. Our sandwiches were fabulous, huge amounts of meat and my husband had the macaroni salad (which was also fantastic). The people act just like a NY city deli, so don't expect nice Southern hospitality - just incredible food at a decent price. Located in a central spot near the streetcar

Stopped in for lunch, very busy, but efficient. Be prepared for a little or a lot of banter from the staff. They give it to the customers and it what makes this place great. Food was pretty darn good too and the sandwiches are huge. Get a black and white cookie!

Very good food! Great service and sense of humors! Had a couple sandwiches. The Hot & Blue was delicious!! Great group of people that look like they have fun at work and enjoy what they do! 😉
Great Downtown Deli
Reuben’s Deli in downtown Atlanta is a great deli that serves food with the freshest and finest ingredients. Their meats and cheeses are very fresh and taste delicious and their bagels are just wonderful. What I enjoy the most about Reuben’s Deli is that you can choose what kind of bread you want, what kind of meat you like and what vegetables you want on your sandwich. Although the restaurant gets full during lunch time, the line does move quickly and the customer service the restaurant provides is fantastic.
