Chic place, delicious food

By MMKY |

Excellent Israeli and Mediterranean food. Great coffee. Great service. It's a chic and charming place with a friendly staff and a lovely owner. Stop by for a bagel or three.

A sour note on a great breakfast

By Magenta |

Had breakfast here this morning and the food and service was great. We were looked after by a fantastic bubbly waitress named Alex. Alex really made us feel welcome, joked with us and made the breakfast experience really enjoyable. The sour note came when the woman in charge chastised Alex several times in front of all the customers. This was something that was unnecessary, and to us seemed totally unnecessary as Alex was shining light of the staff. Such a shame as this incident totally changed the experience and left a bad taste in our mouth. This the fourth time we have been to Reunion and now I'm reluctant to go there again.

Great Israeli cuisine

By LanceAndBarbara |

We have enjoyed some wonderful lunches at Reunion. The food is always fresh and the service is great.

Authentic, excellent

By LD501 |

Beautiful family-owned authentic Israeli cafe. Shakshuka is the best I’ve had. Wonderful hospitality. Worth a detour for breakfast or brunch. If you are missing the cafes in Tel Aviv plant yourself here for a while. You will fill your appetite with breakfast, but go ahead and get the baklava anyway.

A gem

I went here for breakfast. The menu has many interesting choices but I settled for the Reunion breakfast. The eggs and harsh browns were well prepared but the highlight was the toasts and selection of spreads. Very tasty and elegant (see picture). The coffee was terrific as well.

Shakshuka heaven

Cozy atmosphere, super friendly staff, amazing food. Great Place for a late breakfast. The Shakshuka is just great. Would definitely recommend.

A Reunion for lovers and flavours!

Apart from the nice interior this place had really good service, professional kitchen chefs and simply amazing coffee (and beer for the day drinkers ;-) Enjoy the subtle hints of Middle Eastern inspired dishes and let your taste buds go on a rollercoaster ride!!

We love falafel

By Avi ganor. |

This miditeran restaurant in Brooklyn doesn’t have large space but it’s warm and friendly. We were two coppels that came for sunday branch . 3 of us ordered Shakshuka that came in hot iron fry pans with small “chelas” on the side and our friend had an avocado omlet in a ban. All of us felt that the food was fresh and tasty , even the coffee. Me, I had as an appetizer plate of Falafel that was also tasty but to charge 10 dollars for 3 balls of falafel isn’t it to much? Never the less.....we liked the place and will come again.

Williamsburg breakfast, required eats

By DanielBakerMKE |

Bright, colorful, cheery, great service and outstanding food. My daughter and I wandered in while exploring Williamsburg early one Saturday morning. Had a short wait but I would have waited twice as long for this food! My daughter had yogurt w/granola, fruit and havla and would not stop talking about how good it was. I had the Shakshooka w/ challa. Seriously delicious. They serve Stumptown coffee. Get there early and avoid the wait.

Brunch in the City

By Roberyam |

Went with a group of friends (4) for labor day brunch. The hostess said an hour wait but it was half that time. The food was out of this world! I got the Shawarma plate with a pita and I devoured it all. We were sat outside though we didnt ask but since it wasn't that hot it was ok.

Average

We were rather underwhelmed. The Mujadara was dry; the breakfast dips nothing special. Recommend the Hummus market if you want tasty, fresh Israeli brunch.

Worthy trying

Good place for Israeli food. Small place with outdoor dining. Service was good. Recommend for the relatively unique cuisine

Quality Breakfast in Williamsburg, hopefully well have a reunion soon! :-)

By Markeystuu |

I don't know whats better the Avocado toast or the Notorious BIG wallpaper in the toilet. Again Williamsburg consistently impresses and this place is a great addition. The breakfast was great as well as the service. Really happy with this place and will be back again soon!

Delicious with unique flavors

I would want to try everything on their menu if I had time! Service was quick, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Egg-cellent breakfast

By JoppaMama |

I was in town, visiting my son, staying at a nearby AirBnB. Since I get up early, I headed off to breakfast before meeting him. Reunion was one of several breakfast spots recommended by my host at the AirBnB. Wow, I picked a good one! The skies were threatening, but I was feeling lucky and opted to eat outside. Eventually another brave soul sat down at another table. We were quite comfortable, it never rained, and I loved watching people walk by. My waitress was sweet and friendly and attentive. While not inexpensive, the food was SO good. If I lived nearby, I would treat myself to breakfast here weekly so that I could try everything. The lunch menu looked good too. I ordered the avocado toast w/bacon & egg. It was delicious! My only complaint was in the size of the plate - it was a tad small, and cutting the crusty toast (and keeping it on the plate) was a bit of a challenge

Fresh and delicious

This was my second time to breakfast at Reunion and it was just as good as the first. When the weather is nice, there is a nice outdoor patio.

Delightful!

By Mariu |

We were in the mood to try a new place. After googling brunch in Brooklyn, Reunion was on the list. I looked at the menu and it seemed very interesting. Finally got there, the place is smaller than I had expected but really cute. The menu selections were interesting. First time there we wanted to try everything but opted for the falafel burger and the shawarma. Perfect choice, we loved it! The falafel was not greasy and perfectly cooked. The shawarma did not come with any "bread" so we got a pita.Definitely going to try out other dishes! Thank you Reunion for the great food and friendly staff!

Great Find

By Reservoirboy |

Stumbled across this place looking for a cab. It was packed so we were drawn immediately to the buzz and got the last table. Didn't even know what type of food it was but wow! Israeli food done perfectly. My sharawarma was perfect. Packed with flavour. Tender chicken, loads of herbs, vegetables, chilli and yoghurt. The rice dish my wife had which I can't spell was excellent too. Fresh falafel aznd egg on top a bed of perfect rice. A luck find.

Delicious find!

By CountryLadyL |

We stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We were seated in the “outdoor patio” which was located in the street alongside the main restaurant. It was a bit tight on space, but the food was delicious and service was very good. The shaksuka was delicious and so flavorful! I really appreciated the fresh-brewed ice tea. My husband had the breakfast pita sandwich and really enjoyed it. Definitely a find and will return!

Yes for the food, No for the longest wait ever

By Ido8all |

Got on the waitlist and was supposed to get a table in 30 minutes which turned out to be 52 minutes. They did compensate us with coffees from the bar while we were waiting. That was the bad part of our experience there. The good pat was the kind and fast service and of course the delicious Israeli food. We took the shawarma and shakshuka with sides of Israeli salads. All dishes were tasteful and filling. Hesitant if I’d go back just because of the wait, however it does give a great taste of israel.

Good breakfast.

By 181donv |

Had breakfast here one morning. Not a traditional American breakfast place at all, but very good preparations of eggs, etc. Reasonably priced at least for breakfast. Recommended.

Great find!

By bonnie481 |

Just stumbled on "Reunion" as we walked the streets of Williamsburg. It was our birthday and anniversary, and we couldn't have found a nicer spot to celebrate. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly and helpful, and the ambiance is cozy and fun. It was a special time for us in a special place. Sometimes serendipity is the best!

Breakfast

By lunahod |

They use a great coffee machine and that's already 50% of breakfast done right. Add the traditional tel-Aviv gastronomy and you got 100% breakfast. They serve shakshuka btw.

Pleasant surprise

By k747 |

On our last day in Brooklyn, we fancied pancakes and Reunion came highly recommended by all local review apps. And they weren't wrong. Welcoming service, pretty location and one huge tasty pancake. Ina stopped by for a quick chat and to make sure everything was to our liking. Top notch service.

Top notch

Gorgeous, top notch food and the best attentive service one can get! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Allergen issues

By Liam F |

We came today after a recommendation and at first everything was going great and we understood why it had been recommended to us. One of my friends is vegan and lactose intolerant and asked if anything could be catered for and was recommended the falafel burger but with a different bun due to it not being suitable for her dietary requirements. The food arrived with the non vegan bun and with a sauce which the waiter didn’t know if it was vegan or not, we asked for it to be changed to which a plain pita was brought over expecting her to make the burger herself. We then sent the food back asking it to be remade and it returned with the exact same falafel and salad and the sauce had just been scraped off. The table wasn’t food-checked so we couldn’t complain apart from when plates were cleared we then had to explain the issue and rather than being greeted with an apology, the waiter got defensive and didn’t understand why it wasn’t ok. All of us at the table work in hospitality and completely understand that it can be testing at times however the situation could have been dealt with in a better way considering how dangerous it could have been.

An un-festive, un-appetizing, expensive Christmas brunch

By Ellen M |

Small, very small portions, mediocre, overcooked falafel, overpriced, under produced salad, unappetizing latkas, tiny amount of apple sauce, slow, inconsistent service, charged 3% for paying with credit card, small, sterile room, no atmosphere,

Delicious and great decor

By Sarah W |

A hipster-y spin on middle eastern/Israeli? food. Really delicious breakfast and really attentive waitstaff.

Avocado Toast is relish

By Richard K |

Tiny place offering a very tasty breakfast but horrible service. Only 4 other people in the place and when I ordered my meal I also ordered a croissant "to start with". Shouldn't have needed a reminder with so few people in the place.

BEST breakfast!!

By astro90 |

Reunion was such a cute place! The food was amaaaaaaaazing - had a Shakshooka and my friend had a giant pancake! Would definitely recommend.

Great food and service

By Barbara K |

Ate two meals here while visiting- breakfast and lunch. Every dish was great. Attentive service. Nice selection of choices for both meals.

Wonderful lunch place in Williamsburg

By EGB201 |

We found this place after discovering that Lilia across the street is closed for lunch. It was a great surprise! The weather was fantastic so we got a table outside. As it got a bit hot for one of my friends, we were moved to a table inside with no problems. Service was excellent and super friendly. Décor is nice. Their Shakshooka was to die for. All of the food was great.

Great breakfast and lunch option

By dbrown46 |

A hidden gem for breakfast or lunch in a quiet part of Williamsburg. The food was delicious and they were generous portions. The server was very friendly and helpful and the room is charming, The room is tiny so if you want to be sure to be seated, I recommend a reservation. The best Israeli salad!!

Warm People and Amazing food

By Jagdish U |

I visited this amazing place in December for breakfast. it was highly recommended by my host and they were spot on! We knew we had to try the place before we returned India We ordered the Shakshooka , the Avocado toast, an omelet breakfast and a dessert. Every dish was so well made. I must praise the Shakshooka. The tomato sauce was freshly prepared well seasoned. i also requested something off the menu and the restaurant owner ( more about her later) whipped a chicken wrap with really amazing burst of flavors. The menu is the same that you will see in many such restaurants but the twist and the seasoning makes it a class apart. Apart from the food, the enitre ambience, the service, the staf and above all the owners warmth and genuine interest in their guests makes it a very "Happy and enjoyable" experience. If I ever visit Brooklyn again, Reunion is definitely on my agenda. All the best guys! Again don't miss the Shakshooka

Taste of Israel in NYC

By godzuki24 |

Having done business in Israel, I have been fortunate in tasting legit Israeli cuisine. Although it isn't world renowned, there is a tremendous food scene in Tel Aviv and the surrounding neighborhoods. Built largely around traditional comfort foods, the food there is fresh, clean and healthy. Living in NYC, one would think that it would be easy to find an Israeli restaurant or at least somewhere serving Israeli fare. You would be wrong. There are MANY places that serve "Mediterranean" cuisine or "Middle Eastern" fare, but it's been hard to find truly Israeli food. Reunion tastes like Israel. The Hummus was smooth, flavorful and not simply thrown together. All too often hummus can be lumpy or runny. This place clearly takes time to get this right. The Shakshuka was nearly perfect. Not spicy for the sake of being spicy, the spice enhanced the flavor profile of the dish. adding lamb to it made it absolutely delicious. The only thing I could ask for was a few more bites. The Yemenite pancake was not greasy, perfect size and a perfect compliment to the Hummus and Shakshuka. The Shwarma at Reunion is a playful, yet significantly more healthy dish. Not the greasy end of a drinking night sandwich. It is a beautifully presented (almost) salad like creation, but not at all lacking in chicken (and hearty potatoes). The fresh herbs and vegetable that accompany the meat and tahini really make this dish pop. The Schnitzel Sandwich is solid. It got overshadowed by the other dishes at my table, but was a very solid sandwich. You would almost think the schnitzel was baked in that it was so light and crispy. A testament to Reunion's efforts to provide healthier fare. I've rambled on and I think you get the point. My one warning would be that the place is not particularly big. It feels big because of the natural light, high ceiling and windows, but it doesn't seat too large a crowd. That being said, there was a line out the door for take away and coffee while I was there. Reservations on weekends is apparently a must, and the Tuesday morning I was there, reservations were helpful. What are you waiting for, get there ASAP.

Best lunch I ever had

By rawband |

I can’t say enough good. I had no idea what to expect. It was amazing. Both things we got were great and looking around the restaurant nothing looked subpar.

Lovely breakfast

We went here for a breakfast. This is a lovely place with good service and lovely tasty breakfast. They have a good coffee also.

Try their Pinot Noir!

By AnnShen5210 |

Try their Pinot Noir, the one imported from Israel! It’s so delicious, light and surprisingly dry. I find it a perfect match with anything on their brunch menu!

Instagram worthy AND delicious!

By LTLOL |

The food at Reunion is delicious and very well presented. We went for an early brunch and had some absolutely beautiful dishes. We had hummus, watermelon and feta salad, and the Reunion breakfast, which was eggs, potatoes, and bread, all of which were delicious.

Wonderful!

By Sheryl G |

This is a small but delightful place to eat breakfast or lunch. Mostly Israeli menu. Food was served hot and was excellent! Recommend the diced, fried potatoes. Some healthy options, and very helpful servers to explain everything. If you are looking for a different place to eat, I highly recommend this charming restaurant.

Very good brunch items

By TravelFan48105 |

Our family group met at Reunion for a get-together brunch. The space is well-decorated and clean, with plenty of light. Service was very good and the staff were super-friendly. Between us, we sampled several menu items. My avocado toast topped with a poached egg was really good, though it could have used some hot sauce on the side. The Shaksooka eggs (cooked over spicy tomato and red pepper sauce) with the feta addition was the stand-out item, a very tasty dish! I would definitely order that on a future visit. Less successful was the "Jaffa Laffa" (with the avocado addition) which is zaatar laffa bread, labneh, and an omelette. The problem was that the bread was rather tough and dry and the contents were rather bland. The concept of this dish is a good one but, in our opinion, the bread should be softer and the filling should be much more flavorful and robust. The coffee is good here. Overall, while not cheap, prices at Reunion are reasonable for the quality, but note there is a surcharge for decaf coffee and soy milk..

A little brunch

By Dadof3girls |

The restaurant was good and clean. The food was was good but a little pricey. The staff was friendly and provided good service. We ate inside and the space was tight. We found people needing to squeeze between chairs to get around.

Delicious! Best coffee in Brooklyn

By Sammi Motiveater |

I visited here for breakfast while on holiday in Brooklyn. Being very fussy about coffee I was pleasantly surprised.. so much so that I got a take away coffee as well! The food was fresh and delicious and the wait staff were friendly and very helpful! Do yourself a favour and head here for brunch.

Amazing Israeli Food

By leven4all |

I went to lunch with my daughter at Reunion. The outdoor space was shaded. Very nice on a hot day. Food was delicious. We enjoyed the hummus appetizer, which was well seasoned. The schnitzel sandwich on challah with a side salad was scrumptious. Large enough to share for two people with normal appetites. Service was attentive. Would definitely return, if I am in the area.

Great for brunch and dinner!

By Lia G |

We've eaten at Reunion twice. Once for brunch and then for dinner.. Both meals were great! Loved our dessert of chocolate mousse and baklava. The wait staff was attentive, but not hovering. Also enjoyed our conversation with the owner. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Williamsburg..

Delicious food and attentive service

Well brewed coffee. Delicious food. I loved shaksuka , which was mildly spicy with fresh tasty challah bread. Something new for me. Great place for Sunday brunch
