Excellent,charming cafe for

By WA_traveller57 |

Excellent, charming cafe for breakfast. Walked from the Doubletree along the Marina up to Rex’s. Delish green eggs. The salsa verde was perfect not too spicy but full of flavor. Recommend it.

Exceptional Neighborhood Gem

By ChiefDennis |

Rex's, on Pacific Avenue in San Pedro, is an unimposing, delightful restaurant. In fact, it is my favorite place for a delicious, affordable, and HUGE breakfast in San Pedro. Prices are family-friendly, service attentive, and portions are, well, exceptional. Their menu is large and contains all the breakfast regulars. They also have several varieties of Eggs Benedict to keep us poached egg lovers happy. If you're in the LA south bar area, stop in and enjoy the Rex's breakfast experience. You will not be disappointed.

Not Much At First Glance

By VegasBling |

My family and I visited the restaurant on a Saturday at 9 a.m. when there were only four tables of diners. By 9:15 a.m., every table was taken with several waiting outside to be seated. Street parking may be hard to find during busy times. When we first saw the restaurant, it didn’t look like an appealing place to eat, so we skipped it. I later did a search for good breakfast places in the area, and Rex’s was one of the highest rated. We gave the restaurant a second try, and were pleasantly surprised. Food is categorized as Traditional American and Mexican. I ordered eggs with a green chile sauce sprinkled with tortilla chips and sliced avocado, along with hash browns. My family ordered meals with eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast. Service was good, as staff was attentive and helpful despite being busy. We enjoyed our experience at the small “Mom and Pop” type restaurant and would return again.

Great place

By iwells6 |

My daughter said we had to eat here and she was right. Yes you may need to wait but trust me it is well worth it. Something so every one, vegetarian for me was portobello mushroom and spinach omelette, hash browns and muffin, all freshly cooked. The staff are attentive and made sure we had the best time, we will return before our holiday is over. Thank you all.

Wonderful place for Bfast/lunch

By Kevin D |

This was a great place with a large unique menu. Sure they have the std bfast fare, but they also have cool items like a spinach benedict or bfast burritos. The fruit bowl that comes with the entre is far above what you'd get at any bfsat chain. Highly recommended.

Short walk from the Hilton

By Keith S |

After a long week of travailing. It was a great welcome Great food fast service friendly people . It did not break your wallet . They know how to run a breakfast place. words can not describe how good the food is.

My favorite breakfast in town

By Michel V |

I love going to Rex's. Small family owned local hole in the wall. Great food, friendly and fast service. I always order the pancakes, and the Mediterranean omelet. Just delicious, they also serve mexican classics and a great ribeye steak and eggs for $11.95... The decor is simple, warm and charming. A bit hidden but easy to find. Please support this local eaterie if you are in the San Pedro area.

Lives up to the Reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp

By NanaimoGirl66 |

We found this place through Yelp as we wanted to try somewhere different and unique for breakfast before leaving on our Cruise. It was great! Line up outside speaks for itself. It's a little gem in a so-so part of town. Place was packed, and the food was great - generous portions, friendly service. If we are ever in San Pedro again we will defiantly go back here. Highly recommend.

GOOD LUNCH

By Holly C |

We went the 1/2 - 1 mile from our hotel to this little place on the corner (drove around the block twice before I found it and found parking). Good coffee, Black Bean Chili, and sandwiches!

Within walking distance of Fort Macarthur

By fmattship |

Great breakfast spot to walk to. Food was ample and quick. Keep a close eye on your kids and surroundings as there are quite a few homeless due to the nearby shelter. Not a place to be after dark but they are only open for Breakfast and lunch.

Good breakfast

By eltorreta67 |

A rather Bland Breakfast

By Amanda P |

The experience at Rex's as not at all over-whelming. The food was bland and neither me nor the person I dined with was pleased with the meal. The staff wasn't the most attentive, and what could have been a very pleasant breakfast was simply okay. While I wouldn't say I would never go back, Rex's is certainly not on the short list of places around town discussed when we want a good breakfast option.

Great food and lots of it!

By Veewat |

Rex is one of our favorite breakfast places - with a Mexican flair and plenty of great fresh food, we love having it in our neighborhood. Orange juice is fresh squeezed - my favorite is the decadent french toast!

Fantastic spot for breakfast

By jessica j |

We really loved this breakfast spot. Great fresh fruit, and excellent pancakes and omelets. The server we had was really lovely and attentive as well. The highlight of our trip to San Pedro!

Cozy, neighborhood diner close to Fort McArthur

By Designer-at-Large |

Nice varied selection of typ. breakfast items, well prepared, fresh and tasty. We ordered a veggie omelet, fruit bowl, fresh squeezed orange juice, blueberry whole wheat pancakes, bagel and lots of hot coffee. All very tasty. The only item we didn't care for was the house made muffin. Very sweet for us. We enjoyed it so much we went there twice.

Very good breakfast

By Per |

Our family got breakfast scrambled eggs, pancake, bacon, sausages and fruit. We also tried the strawberry smoothie. The food is nice. Plenty of it. The service is very nice and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We can recommend for breakfast

Good Breakfasts, Slow Service

By JayDeLo |

My family had breakfast here before a cruise. When we arrived the place was full, and we were asked to wait outside until our table was ready. It was cold and windy that day, so it was off-putting as there was space in the entryway. We enjoyed breakfast, but it took a long time to arrive. If you're not in a hurry I'd go back again.

SO GOOD

By dtj006 |

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC! I've only gone a handful of times, but every time I get something different because no matter what you get it's really good. There are HUGE portions, so it's more bang for your buck. Highly recommended for sure.

Best Spot for casual breakfast and lunch near L.A. Harbor!

By Andy x |

Rex's Cafe is a friendly, homey place. I eat there regularly, and have not been disappointed. Nice food, well prepared, in generous portions, and great service from the wait staff. They serve a nice selection of breakfast and lunch dishes ( they don't do dinner ). There are healthy and vegetarian choices, if thats what you want. I have a boat nearby in the harbor, and frequently go out to eat. Rex's is my fave!

Great breakfast place

By florencer9008 |

This is one of the best places in the area to get a nice breakfast. Eggs here are just amazing and the service is relatively fast too.

Good breakfast

By James W |

Lots of menu items for breakfast and they all come in very large size. It is a quaint place with family service. Overall good, but service was a bit slow.

Really cute place, intriguing menu

By larryKitty8933 |

Very pretty little place that they have made very charming. Good food, lots of local color. San pedro is a real good place to find little, unusual cafes for breakfast and lunch. Great value, interesting unusual food, low prices, charming, an experience.

Killer Pancakes

By Mary G |

Rex's has my favorite all-time pancakes: whole wheat with blueberries and granola. I kid you not, these are absolutely wonderful. One pancake generally covers an entire plate, so all you need is one, unless you are a hungry longshore"man" . . . person? In addition to the "killer pancakes," they make terrific omelets, my favorite being the Greek version. Rex's also serves a fair amount for vegetarians or vegans to chose from. It is a very popular place for breakfast on the weekends, so be prepared to wait if you get there after eight-ish. The atmosphere is nice and bright and cheerful, with artwork by local artists. It has a little bit of a fun, "hippy" atmosphere. Service is somewhat inconsistent; mostly above average, but one or two servers have been extremely friendly and efficient over the years. Rex's is not in a very good part of town and a fair amount of pan handling goes on in this neighborhood, so be warned. I wish they would open up another location in a better part of town, but I have never had any serious problem so I continue to return when I need one of the "killer pancakes." Better yet, Rex's should start a chain, because their breakfasts are the absolute best, especially those gargantuan, delicious pancakes.

quality mexican local place

By NoCalDad |

I've been to Rex's 3 or 4 times now. Each time I go I get more attached to this place. I was craving chilaquiles for brunch on a Friday. so I stopped in. This is a very compact cafe, so I had to wait 5 min to get a small table for myself. Staff and owner were buzzing around, as usual, but my order came out in just a few minutes. Above average (dark roast) coffee to boot. Extensive menu with several non-standard, mexican influenced options. If you don't like waiting/crowds, come on a weekday or during non-peak (before 10a or near closing) hours. San Pedro's finest casual brunch spot.

Great breakfast!!!

By Michel V |

Rex's is always busy, there is always a line on the weekend but they always manage to seat you promptly. The service is prompt, the servers are nice and attentive, the busboys are the best, friendly and are refilling your coffee every time your cup is half full, they just seem to know. The food is also really good, fluffy pancakes, great combos. Because of my dietary needs I need to make substitution and hold ingredients and my orders can get a bit complicated. They are always happy to oblige. They also have good healthy alternative on the menu? Their prices are very reasonable. I recommend Rex's to everyone and stop by whenever I have a chance

Are food costs really that high?

By Mike Hunt |

I went here today for breakfast. I was encouraged by the reviews I read online. There were a couple of other tables occupied on a Wednesday morning and the service was 5 star! It isn't cheap. Granted the portions are generous, but a cold drink, 2 blueberry pancakes and a side of bacon was nearly $20 with tax. We have reached a point in Southern Cal where even a basic breakfast is over $15 per person now before tip!

A gem in San Pedro.

By Neal L |

Early Mother's Day breakfast near San Pedro Harbor. Vegan tofu scramble, for Sharron and breakfast burrito for me. Excellent. Good coffee and fine service. This is a must do if in the area.

Outstanding Breakfast Gem

By 7JNJ |

We were staying at Ft. MacArthur and this place was suggested by the staff. A most delicious breakfast place. We walked about two blocks through a rather sordid neighborhood but the end result was a positive experience. The service was extremely friendly and organized. The portions were more than adequate. It's a shame that this restaurant is not in a better area, it would be busting at the seams. We will return when in the area.

A favorite for breakfast

By Jennadah |

I have been here for breakfast a few times and have never left dissatisfied. Their bread and muffins are delicious and they make wonderful omelets! It's a lot of food. It can get quite busy so either come early or wait for a table - they're pretty quick, and it's worth the wait.

No waiting before 9 on a Saturday.

By Sailing_Sweetie |

I walked here on Saturday morning. Saturdays I usually see a line when I drive by. I got here just before 9am and it was only 1/2 full. Got seated and served right away. Coffee if nice and medium bold and eggs were cooked perfect over easy. Good quality food. Service is excellent keeping your coffee and water full with a smile.

Great Place to Eat, just ask the locals

By Loteklenny |

Rex's Cafe was recommended by a friend for breakfast. A lot of locals eat here. The breakfast was excellent. The omelette menu is creative and tasty. The service is fast and the servers are friendly and helpful for questions on the menu. Coffee is excellent.

Great breakfast spot in San Pedro

By O'Bob |

Rex's has been serving great breakfasts for over 25 years. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality. My favorite breakfast spot in San Pedro. It does get busy on the weekends.

Fantastic breakfast

By RobbieBStockport |

We had read the many positive reviews and hoped that our experience would be similar. Any doubts were removed on arrival because four officers from LA Port Police were taking breakfast and I could not believe that they would dine in a sub-standard restaurant. The food was fresh, orders taken quickly and limitless coffee was available, The variety of egg based dishes was incredible - omelettes of every description and plenty of alternatives. The fruit salad that accompanied these was a meal in itself. We were so impressed that we visited every morning over our 3 day stay in San Pedro. Special mention of the lovely friendly waiting staff - they made us very welcome and gave some helpful advice about other dining venues in the area. Highly recommeded.

Great food for all

By Julia32174 |

Rex's has delicious vegetarian options, but it also offers hearty food for the meat eaters among us. Relaxed atmosphere, freshly cooked goodies, salads, lunches and breakfasts. It is a favorite hangout for me when visiting my friends in San Pedro.

Awesome little gem where all the locals go.

By Joe J |

Awesome food and service. A must for all the tourist looking for a local place to have breakfast or lunch. 5 star. My FAV is the Muchacca Omelette.

A must

By Joe J |

A little jem. Awesome breakfast and friendly service. A well deserved 5 star. The hours in this platform shows open from 5pm to 10pm.....

Great breakfast spot

By GinNorway |

Small, bustling cafe that has everything you would want for breakfast with friends and family. I understood why they had people waiting outside to get in line! The only negative was that service could have been a little better for coffee refills and paying the bill.

A San Pedro gem!

By Neogenisis |

Easy place to eat delicious, healthy food in a casual atmosphere. I'm a vegetarian and my daughter is vegan and we have no problems finding excellent choices from their menu. Sitting out front on warm days is a treat, the coffee is good, the service is very good. I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food.

Best Breakfast in Town!

By Carol D |

Excellent food, great menu and choices, good service, but may be difficult to get a table on weekend mornings.

Fantastic Breakfast

By Helena L |

We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast for four. The pancakes were enormous. Lovely California Kiwi Smoothy. The place was packed so clearly a popular San Pedro breakfast location and there is a reason for that. We would go back.

Good hash brown

By JustAretha |

As long as I live in the area never heard or been to this place. Its definitely well hidden. If no one introduces you to this little Mexican restaurant you may never know about it. You would literally drive by & not see it. It is a very small cramped place, with absolutely no parking, but the food is delicious. Their hash brown was the best I’ve eaten. Very fluffy not flat. I like their variety of tea collection, since I am more of a tea drinker not a coffee drinker. A cup of tea was expensive -WOW-. $5 for a cup of tea. The people were nice, yes & their food was great. I did indeed enjoyed my meal & I will more likely to return.

Breakfast

By nima_kharrazi |

Girlfriend and I went to breakfast on a Saturday. Great idea. Only had a 10 minute wait. The whole restaurant seems like someone's house. Very small restaurant, but homey and local vibe. Good food, great price, very good portions.

Awesome and amazing place

By Darren C |

Absolutely Love this place, here visiting from Northern California and so glad I was able to go check it out. Absolutely encourage others to go here for great food

Very nice all around

By pbaer |

Rex's was recommended to put family and now I'm recommending Rex's. Very friendly staff. Good food. Good pricing. Thank you.

A surprising discovery

By auntjj_12 |

We somehow missed the bad early morning traffic and arrived in the area too early for our tourist destination. My husband spotted Rex's Cafe as we were driving around killing time. We thought we would just stop in for coffee and a pastry, muffin or something similar. After circling the block a few times to find parking (the only problem with choosing this cafe), we walked in to an adorable place, full of breakfast diners who seemed quite pleased to be there and whose faces displayed sheer delight in what they were consuming. Did I mention how great it smelled when you walked in---no snack for us! The menu has a distinct south of the border flair to it so the faint of heart might want to "do lunch" here instead of breakfast, but our trio found just the right options to kill time and enjoy a great meal to hold us over while we did our tourist thing afterward. The chorizo scrambled egg dish was flavorful and had just the right amount of zing-- also the sausage scramble...The very cheerful server was helpful in explaining the size of the dishes--mainly the pancakes--and did not try to oversell us If we are ever in the area again, we will try to arrange our schedule for a return visit! (We did not order it but the bowl of fruit selection---freshly cut/sliced fruit--nothing out of a jar or can!)

This may just become my Favorite Breakfast spot in Pedro

By baaaaaaa |

Had breakfast here with my son and we both really enjoyed our meals. Great variety. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Attentive service. Great coffee. Let me repeat ... Great coffee. Had the Stuffed Cinnamon French Toast ($10.50), which included 3 big strips of bacon & eggs, simply outstanding. Lots of open seating when we were there around 8:30 am. Street parking limited but well worth that extra effort.

Must try

By Willy C |

Large portions, friendly staff and good food. We now know why there is a wait. Worth the wait but be there early to avoid the line.

Our place to go for breakfast while in San Pedro waiting to board the ship

By Richard Y |

Great American and Mexican dishes, both breakfast and lunch. They load your plate with wonderful food, for a very reasonable price.

Cute cafe, friendly service, great food

By Tara S |

My husband got yogurt with homemade yogurt and fruit. He loved it. My son and I got whole wheat pancakes. Very good. My older son got an omelette, also very good. Nice, bright, homey feel.

Wonderful little breakfast place!

By Jumesan |

This is our favorite place to grab breakfast in San Pedro. There's always people waiting but it's a very small place. They have really creative dishes and everything uses fresh high quality ingredients. Very good kid plates also. The staff is wonderful and always super nice. Parking is really tough so you just have to troll the neighborhood (which is a little sketchy but ok during the day).

Great breakfast location

By Moselblick |

The perfect small and no-chain breakfast location. Everything was really tasty and the smoothies are really very good. Even if the location area isn't really promising, to visit Rex is worth it.

Super-Duper!

By Flickaboy |

Friday was raining hard but we were hungry and found Rex's Cafe on Trip Advisor and said...this is our place. We got a lift over and back from Hilton shuttle, which made it easy. Not a large restaurant and we read in reviews weekends people stand and wait outside. Everyone very friendly, the restaurant had a warm fuzzy feeling atmosphere, the menu was so tempting I had to order a pancake for my desert, after my stuffed french toast (inside stuffed with cream cheese, almonds slivers, bananas) and topped with bananas and strawberries along with my turkey sausage and scrambled eggs. My husband had a ham and cheese omelet with fresh fruit and an english muffin and enjoyed it. I got to sample his omelet and fresh fruit...it was tasty! Run, don't walk to Rex's Cafe!

It's nice to have options...

By btownishome |

Delicious breakfast here. The standout for me was the options included in a basic egg & sausage breakfast. For our sides, we were given the choice of two kinds of potatoes, fresh fruit, or brown rice. Nice! And beyond the toast were options of rye toast, bagel, or a lemon muffin. Highly recommended.

Huge Breakfast

By IanRob |

Small place with Mexican influenced comfort food. Meals are tasty and quick to arrive. The orange juice deserves a special mention. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and brunch/lunch only.

Best Place to Cure a Hangover South of Manhattan Beach

By Bob C |

I had only lived in San Pedro for about a year when some friends came down for a visit from N. California. The morning after a night of partying at the beach, we were all looking for a great breakfast joint - and Rex's fits the bill. The food is flavorful, with just a little twist to the ingredients as a nod to the health conscious. Of course, the bacon was excellent! The place is small, and on saturday and sunday mornings, especially in the summer, you can expect to wait. But it's worth it. Hangover cured! Just don't sleep in past 2, because Rex's closes early!

Great food!

By Barbara28970 |

I had breakfast here on my way to the airport; the menu was really interesting and quirky. My breakfast was excellent, the coffee was very good, and the service was perfect; this must be popular with the locals because every table was filled (it's not a big place) and people were standing waiting for a table to open. Highly recommended!

Local Favorite (Shhh)

By Diane B |

San Pedro has several great breakfast joints, but Rex's is my favorite by far. It's organic, they offer turkey options, and the service and coffee are great. It's a small place, but big on tastiness.

Delicious Find

By Doniece N |

We were in town for the day and Rex's Cafe was highly recommended for breakfast. I enjoyed their Special of the Day of Chicken Club Sandwich. I enjoyed split pea soup and a gigantic sandwich. It was made with real chicken breasts, avocado, and bacon. Enough food for my next meal. My husband enjoyed a traditional breakfast of cooked to perfection, hard cooked eggs. The Cafe was bright and full of happy patrons

Small place big flavor!

By Tessa K |

Looking for a restaurant for brunch near our hotel, we found this place. The outside is nothing spectacular, but once inside they make you feel right at home. We all had a little of everything, pancakes, french toast, eggs in every style and it was all very tasty. The staff is friendly and sevice fantastic. Highly, recommend giving Rex's a try, you'll want to go back again, and again.

Amazing Breakfast

By Mike C |

Great wait staff and the breakfast is always amazing here. I always stop here when I'm in town. You can't go wrong with whatever you order I promise!

Not My Best Visit at This San Pedro Neighborhood Place

By ChiefDennis |

I have not been here in a couple of years. Not sure why as it is not far from my house. This was a good experience, with a couple of exceptions. Service was exceptional, as always. I ordered the ham and eggs. They have a fantastic bone-in individual ham slice that is perfect for breakfast. I asked for eggs scrambled extra easy. They were served scrambled almost hard. Hash browns were very poor. They were dry, hard, and spent way too much time sitting on the grill. Not what I would expect from Rex's. Sourdough toast was good but not very "toasted." I'll have to return again soon to see if my recent experience was an anomaly or now the norm. I hope it is not the latter.

Rex's Cafe

By Colcam3 |

Best Cafe in San Pedro, and I've checked out 5 others. Fresh and tasty food, served hot and quick and friendly. It's crowded and popular for good reasons. Soup, sandwiches and the San Pedro hamburger with bacon and avocado are very good. Breakfasts even better. Good local place to chill.

Great spot with fast service......

By Food Travel Life |

If you are hungry then this is the place to go. The pancake plater is really enough for two people. As you can see in the picture they are as big as the plate. They also have fresh fruit toppings as well. The service is great as well. You will not leave here hungry. This will be my breakfast spot when I come back to San Pedro.

Great way to start the day!

By BisoninLondon |

This is a great local restaurant to enjoy a home cooked breakfast and huge cup of coffee. The service is friendly and quick and the food is served piping hot. There is a great variety of food to choose from. I got the am hack omelet and was pleased with it, mostly. Delicious sauce, fluffy eggs, lots of peppers and onions and tomato and cheese, just not much shredded beef. Really good hash browns, and we got there in time to get a freshly made muffin! They are not ready until 8:00, so be aware of that. But, get there early enough to get a table, otherwise you'll be waiting in line outside, as space is limited. Definitely worth it though!

Great food atmosphere and value

By krykie |

True hours from 7am - 2pm. Get a pancake instead of toast. Need gluten free? They offer side of rice instead. Had eggs, side of fruit. "Side" was a HUGE bowl of mostly melon, ripe, with some grapes and banana. Very good. Outside as well as inside seating.quaint old home converted ... Lots of charm. Recommended.

Best Coffee

By ljgordon |

DH is a coffee expert (he doesn't like Starbucks!) and is very picky about what he likes. He loved the coffee and the server said they get that a lot! I loved the breakfast burrito. The servers are friendly, the food was good and plenty. I understand it is a local favorite. We recommend it for breakfast, but they do other meals. We just didn't try them. We liked it enough we are going back this morning.

Great local breakfast

By thecompgalKim |

The breakfast was excellent with large portions. The service is fast and the servers are friendly, great value & taste for your money!

We loved Rex's!!!

By gjscollins |

This is a very small, hole in the wall restaurant that we just loved while living in San Pedro. There are only 10-15 tables in there and it was always loud when we went but once you got past that, the service was always outstanding and the food was the best we found! Steak sandwich was my favorite with the fresh fruit. To die for!!!!

Gotta love JOse!

Gotta love JOse!

Stuffed French Toast

By Raidergurl1787 |

Great service, hole in the wall location, but best breakfast that won't leave you feeling bloated and disgusting after. They use the best ingredients and have the best stuffed french toast. They aren't shy about their whip cream on hot chocolate so I highly recommend ordering it! Best San Pedro burger with avocado and all. Really recommend it, closes pretty early so come grab bite to eat and check out other local spots.

Skip the Hotel Breakfast!!

By gulfislandguy |

We were staying in San Pedro at the Doubletree Hilton and so so relieved and happy when another guest recommended Rex's. Cute cozy neighbourhood cafe with reasonable prices, friendly service and great fresh food! I had an egg nog latte and French Toast made from multigrain with real Vermont maple syrup...yum! Partner had ginormous homemade pancake with frresh strawberrys scrambled eggs sausage and coffee. Bill was $23 bucks! Highly recommend this place, if you don't want to walk get the hotel shuttle to drop you off.

Great breakfast spot in San Pedro

By DaQi |

Been here a couple times for breakfast and not disappointed. Great breakfast with all you want in a breakfast including good food, generous portions, an eager refill on the coffee and a reasonable price. This local gem in San Pedro is a bit out of the way but I have used it when meeting people between Orange County and LA. It is relatively easy to find but a bit out of the way. I like going down here because it is close to the harbor and I enjoy the comings and goings of a harbor. The food is mexican inspired but they have your basic breakfast staples. The service is friendly and prompt. It is a bit crowded and has a busy buzz to it but it is not overly so and feels comfortable. Parking is on the street but I haven't had problems finding a place to park although it does require a circle of the block to get a good spot. Definitely recommended and would go back when looking for a breakfast place in the area.

Fantastic Breakfast!

By NikkiMiller |

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast at Rex's. it was a nice walk from our hotel. Friendly staff. Very unique selection of menu items. I enjoyed the Mediterranean omelet with a lovely carrot/raisin muffin while my hubs had the Pumpkin French Toast with Caramel sauce. We enjoyed every bite and will go back when in San Pedro!

The Real Deal

By Frank M |

Fresh and home made food is paramount at Rex's. My breakfast omelette included a just out of the oven muffin and home made salsa. This is a popular place so be prepared to wait.

Breakfast

By DennisJB |

Wow. Great food and very friendly staff. It is where the locals eat. Specialties include stuffed French toast, pancakes and omelettes. Very clean and fun place to be. Would return anytime I am in the area.

Best Breakfast in California

By Jane D |

You will not regret having breakfast here. I had the Rex inlet and it was fantastic, and the amount of food I got for the price was astounding! The inlet was half the large plate. I picked the bagel and fresh fruit choice. My husband had eggs and bacon with toast and hash browns. The place is small, so get there early. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Great food great service

By LGB-Local |

Stuffed French toast, eggs and bacon. I forgot to order a latte...oh well, I will have to go back. ;) A really enjoyable lunch.

Great lunch place!

By Lvles |

I stopped in at Rex's Cafe on Pacific in San Pedro, close to Ft. MacArthur. I had the portobello wrap, which came with a great salad. I highly recommend the cilantro lime dressing. So delicious! The service was great, too. Can't wait to return.

Only .33 miles from the marina

By Sailing_Sweetie |

I walked here in no time from the marina at CBYC. The food is fresh and good quality. The staff friendly and fast. I was here at 10 on a Saturday and got a seat. They do take reservations too.
