Good restaurant for business trip

By Sascha F |

The choice of food is excellent (for breakfast, lunch and dinner). The kitchen is various and of good quality.

Great lunch experience!!

By Hector M |

First time at the restaurant for a lunch meeting. Excellent!! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially one of the restaurant managers, Elvis Rodriguez. He went out of his way to explain all the features on their menu. He accommodated all of our special requests. The food was excellent and well prepared. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant inside the Sheraton Hotel Miami Airport.

Good and Quick

By Gary P |

Quick and nice selection of food. Enjoy the outdoor dining. Service was very good and fruit was fresh and tasty.

lunch time at hotel

By UxbridgeUkPedro41 |

we had lunch whilst awaiting pick up to airport. We were not happy with staff who tried to put us in a seated area which was rather dark. We asked to be moved to a lighter area which the staff appeared not to be comfortable with. Reluctantly they did.

Great improvements

By themadelf |

Since our last visit new restaurant staff have come on-board. Of particular note is the addition of new staff in the kitchen. The quality of the food has improved leaps and bounds over a previous visit about 6 months ago. I highly recommend dining at Rickenbacker's.

Hotel restaurant w/great view and friendly staff

By Debra B |

only ate at the restaurant for breakfast...friendly service although a little slow some mornings. Custom omelette option was great

Average food... good service!

By N T |

Nothing special, just average but there isn't much else around without a commitment of long drive. I ate there pretty much each night during my stay at the hotel... avoid the fish and chips, club sandwich was much better.

Dinner at Sheraton hotel Miami

By Ruwan W |

One night stay at the Hotel Sheraton airport hotel in Miami USA arrange by the airline after missing the connection flight to Charleston. The food at the restaurant was really great.

Tonya at Patio Service

By Jack F |

Ask for Tonya in the patio. She was very helpful. This place is perfect for a business traveler. You might not think about it because it is an airport hotel, but it overlooks the golf course and is great. I was able to work outside in a covered patio, order food, and watch golf. And Tonya is terrific! Super helpful and nice. Great food too!

Convenient for quick dinner.

By Jody S |

Excellent waiter! Kept our glasses full and really put forth an effort to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience.

Find A Different Dinner

By David F |

I have eaten breakfast lunch and dinner at this restaurant. The buffets at breakfast and lunch actually offer a solid offering, including an omelet station for breakfast. However, dinner is often overpriced and the service is overworked. Food comes out slowly but usually correct unless you are trying to do some sort of special order. Mostly things are cooked well though vegetables tend to be a little wilted or watery.

Typical of a Sheraton property - way overpriced

By Thomas S |

Located just off the main, I went to the in-house restaurant for a quick breakfast before heading out for business. $14 for eggs benedict and $19 for the buffett. Food was good, but the price was ridiculous.

Flight crew

By mvm9585 |

Ask for Victor at the bar! Very friendly and attentive to our group! Had a great time after a long day day

Had an excellent lunch

By SwissMac |

Service was friendly. Somehow the place was nearly empty on Monday at lunch time. The meat was excellent and the rest was good.

Awesome hotel restaurant

By eHobo |

Denise is an amazing server, she is personal and attentive with a great sense of humor! I stay at a lot of hotels and this restaurant/bar is one of the best. The first meal I had was the Tuna Nicoise Salad and Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, The next night was the Miami Style Pork Masitas. The chef's make the food tasty and fun. I'm excited for tonight's meal. This place has made my stay in Miami very enjoyable...

Near the Airport and that's it.

By agosfield |

I've eaten here mutliple times because it is near the airport. The service is slow and the food is mediocre. We went to the Hyatt my last trip and it was much better.

GREAT service!

By KateS |

I expected this restaurant to be like so many others inside a hotel. By that, I mean quality of food & service sometimes suffers when there is no nearby competition. Well, that is MOST CERTAINLY not the case with this restaurant. I had dinner alone, and my server Alex treated me wonderfully. Then, for breakfast, I was lucky enough to have Alex as my server again! The food was great and I absolutely can't say enough about how wonderful Alex was. I highly recommend this restaurant, and Alex.

Wonderful food and service

By Roseanne B |

Loved everything about it. Staff was great, all meals delicious!! Ambience relaxed and very clean environment.

Superb service, excellent food, nice view

By Louise B |

This restaurant took us by surprise. The food created by chef Envelber Castro was absolutely superb. My party enjoyed the French onion soup (lots of cheese and topped with fried onions), ate the incomparable scallops appetizer, that had a superb aioli (the scallops literally melted in the mouth), and the chicken entree had a wonderful sauce and was very tender. Ask for Katia if at all possible. She was a charming, wonderful hostess/server who gave us the time we needed to really enjoy the above selections along with a wonderful Malbec. If we come back to Miami, we will definitely come back to enjoy the food and hospitality. Oh, and don't forget the Lava Cake...chocoloate lovers, this was wonderful

Exceptional Chef and staff at the rickenbacker restaurant

By Sunil B |

Chef Carlo and Chef Dominguez went above and beyond to prepare incredible vegetarian breakfast for us and Angel Villacres made sure that we had gluten free dishes every morning for the 5 days we were at this place while in the city to watch Miami masters tennis. Bostone Ardeus was warm and caring serving our table taking care of our needs

Bfast Never Again

By Ernie C |

Stayed on this hotel for 5 days for our companys business conference. Never again to have bfast on this hotel, it cost me $27.28, its a buffet but i have more fingers in hand than their selections at the buffet line. The selections are bacon, sausage, harsh brown & scrambbled egg, you turn to the left is their fruit selection and some yogurt, farther away are the danish selection and toast, the only thing that puts a smile on my face is they have a live omellete kitchen, the rest is not worth it; my wait staff seems like had a bad morning on that day. Only ate on the first day and NEVER again.

Fresh

By dallymc1728 |

Food is available late which is great for those with late flights. Tasted great. Buffet in the morning was good too - except the croissants ;)

not a lot of choices in he area

By Danny D |

The restaurant is located inside the Sheraton Miami. the breakfast is quite good with a large selection of pastries, eggs, meat and so on, but if you don't have a voucher it's a bit on the pricey side. The dinner menu is limited, but the quality is good and the service is friendly and swift.

A day in Miami

By rbgcrg |

Great restaurant, good food. The server Gloria is amazing. We had a gift certificate that had expired but they were very accommodating and excepted it.

convenient

By patnf |

Conveniently located in the hotel, off the lobby. Food is a little pricey, but very good, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Tiffany Duarte - Great Service

By Venkat B |

We are a group of on-road consultants working for a Coral Gables company on a software project. We are mostly staying at Sheraton or Marriott at Miami Airport. We all landed at Sheraton Bar on 21st May, 2013 and had couple of drinks and when we looked at the menu did not find anything that suited our Indian palates. When we checked with the Barman Yuri, he found us the assistant chef Tiffany. She was amazing. She came out and spoke to us at some length and understood that we needed some Indian style food. She created an amazing curry dish with potatoes, chick peas, onions and a few other vegetables for some and fish for others. She served us with what looked like crisp corn bread. The taste was really great, and almost seemed Indian. Seriously Tiffany was great, the way she took care of us. I wish every restaurant had a Tiffany,

Does not fit with the quality of the hotel

By Engadiner |

We visited after a long flight and ordered burgers they advertised as the best in Miami - well, they where not far from charcoal, dry and overcooked and hard. We just tried them and paid for them and left. The service staff could not have cared less. We went to the club louge instead and had some snacks to fill our stomach.

food was delicous

By Roy B |

everything had a great presentation waiters could be a little more freindier and speak and unerstand the english language better but other than that the service and quality of the food was great

A Mojito and Mahi Mahi Taco's, Yes please...

By Maggie |

Stopped in here during my work trip for dinner on the last night. I had the Mahi Mahi Tacos and a couple of Mojito and have to say they were both pretty exceptional.

OK hotel restaurant

By yorosey |

got in late and wanted a bite to eat and a drink or 2. I got a pizza from here with a few beers to take up to my room. The pizza was ok for $12 but way too much cheese on it for the size of a smaller pizza, made it very soggy. But it tasted OK.

Great food and service.

By Wanda P |

My daughter and I stayed 1 night at this hotel. We ate at the Rickenbacker for breakfast. Carlos from Miami and Luis from Cuba were the absolute best. Great food and service. The buffet area was clean even at 10 am. Also, kudos to the guy that makes the omelettes, waffles, and pancakes. We shall return.

Gloria and Tiffany

By Juan V |

We had an event at Sheraton Hotel Hotel. One of my colleague (Oscar from Brazil) and I (from Mexico) went to the Restaurant to have dinner. It was a great experience about the Service from Gloria. Good attention and courtesy. We had the opportunity to talk with Tiffany Duarte (Culinary Supervisor) who took care of us preparing an excellent fish. Thanks for that great experience.

Best service anyone could possibly want

By CD T |

Victor is the BEST bartender ever! Great personality and just the right amount of friendly interaction. (Drinks and late evening snacks) In the restaurant, Ruben Jaramillo is the perfect waiter - attentive, pleasant, and gets everything right the first time. (Breakfast) Jose Espinosa, the man in charge, does a great job seeing that everything runs smoothly. His employees work very well together - indicative of a fine manager. He's detail oriented, making the whole dining experience delightful - and the food is most enjoyable too! What more could anyone want? (Dinner) Clouln't say enough good things about this experience.

Rickenbacker

By bdbaud |

Very nice decor. Recommend the flat iron steak and the hamburger is excellent as well. Fresh fruit during breakfast. Eggs to order.

Excellent Lunch-Perfect Service

By Robert A |

I checked in early at this Sheraton hotel and happened to look at the Rickenbacker lunch menu before heading across the street to the convenient Metrorail to start exploring greater Miami. The chicken-vegetable soup ($6) and wedge salad ($9) appealed to me = winners! The service was excellent too.

Good Hotel Restaurant

By retiree2 |

If you are staying in the Sheraton hotel by the Miami Airport there are not a lot of restaurants nearby. Fortunately, there is a very good restaurant and bar right off the lobby of the hotel. The food was very good as was the service both times we ate there. The burgers are excellent and the quesadilla bites appetizer could be a meal. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the wait for our food was a little too long the second night. Antonio was a good waiter.

Average at best

By dskid |

When we ate dinner there the restaurant was about 25% full but the service was very, very slow and inattentive. We had a pepperoni pizza that had a decent taste but was very thin and dry, like it had been overcooked. I had the chicken BLT. It was okay but on a bun that was really too large for the sandwich, or any sandwich of reasonable proportions for that matter. We also got a generous portion of McDonald's style French fries that were served very hot but very limp, so they hadn't been fried long enough. Let's face it, you're only eating here because you have no other choice. Thanks for reading. If you found this helpful I'll appreciate a thumbs up below.

Breakfast buffet

By patraveller2007 |

Rickenbacker is located in the Sheraton Miami Airport. Excellent breakfast buffet with omlets, eggs, etc cooked to order. Nice variety of pre-made hot foods, breads and pastries and fresh fruit.

Great Service by my waiter!

By David B |

Ruben Milla (snoopy) went above and beyond the normal customer service just to take care of one, myself. He's a first class waiter and made my experience fantastic, I will be back. Also the Chicken Cesar salad was one of the best I've ever had, great job chef!

Good food and service

By patraveller2007 |

The Rickenbacker is located in the Sheraton Miami Airport. Good hotel restaurant. Very nice breakfast buffet with very good service.

nothing special

By Sanna987 |

they wrote by Hand onto the invoice the 3 numbers and explained to you that you should make a circle around the number where you want to give a tip.... it is the same menu than in the room service

Convenient

By PooreWifey |

The food was good, but nothing special and a little spend, it was convenient because we didn't have to drive anywhere.

NO MORE SPRING ROLLS & WELLINGTONS IN THE DINNER AT 10TH FLOOR

By RS L |

How can explain my self !!!!! Every day dinner on the 10th floor, Sheraton's chef makes the worth offer ever "spring rolls and wellingtons" , seriously guys ....every single night, at 10th floor, is the same nightmare "spring rolls and wellingtons" ....... can someone ask this man to change the menu????

Better than average hotel restaurant meal

By Food_Snob_PA |

Varied menu ranging from fish, steak, soups, salads, pizzas. From our group of eight, folks were pleased after ordering the full gamut of the menu. Service was fast and very friendly. Uncrowded weeknight meal allowed the staff to spend some time with us, providing accurate recommendations. Breakfast buffet was decent as well.

Late night dinner after long day traveling

By LAShockey |

We missed our connecting flight in Miami and were rebooked for the next day. Very tired and frustrated, we checked into the Sheraton and found that the restaurant was open late. They had a very good menu selection and my husband and I decided on a burger and tacos. They both were delicious and exceeded our expectations. This was exactly what we needed.

Breakfast Alex - Server

By kevcarmic |

I have visited the Rickenbacker restaurant for breakfast and my table's server was Alex, he was simply the best. Great service from great people. Thanks Alex for your first class service.

Amazing service amazing hostess great supervisor!

By David K |

As soon as I walked into Rickenbacker I was greeted by a beautiful young lady named Mercedes Cancela. Her presence and smile was extremely calming. Beside her was a supervisor named Araceli's Anzoal who ensured our meals and drinks were done properly and on time. I cannot remember the last time I had such a pleasurable experience eating out. Great thanks to Mercedes and Araceli's. Sincerely David K.

Wait staff very friendly and great food.

By Daryl P |

Casual conversations with the 'wait' staff and the food was prepared the way I ordered it. The atmosphere and décor of the restaurant was pleasing and relaxing.

Nice hotel restaurant

By Florida_waterskier |

Very nice and not that expensive for a hotel restaurant. The food was nice and would definately come back on our next visit to the Sheraton Hotel.

Breakfast

By Karen D |

We only ate breakfast. The service was marginal and the food very average. Overpriced like a normal hotel restaurant, the food should be better.

Breakfast Buffet

By Andrew (atravel) - Adventure Traveler |

Our server, Tania, was great. She was very helpful for us with two kids. Food was average. Scrambled eggs were over cooked with peppers. Bacon was overcooked and dry. Nice they had an omelet station. We ate here for breakfast two days in a row as it was included in our room rate.

Had a dinner on a one night stopover at the Sheraton in Miami

By Rayonion |

The food is okay. Drinks are very good. The main thing is it's convenient if you are staying in the hotel.

Breakfast Buffet to Properly Start the Day

By Mediterrnsf |

You cannot go wrong with their selection. It all starts with Mary Ann's genuine smile welcoming you to your table. Then, the one and only James makes the meanest to-order eggs (custom omelettes, scrambles, etc.). Choices are varied and healthy and the OJ is freshly-squeezed. A great way to get a morning boost of energy!

Bar

By Devin T |

Victor is the best bartender of allllll time . Leave him a great tip . Food was great also chicken wings was good

Met our needs nicely

By Michael P |

We were to meet friends while staying at the hotel and the Rickenbacker gave us a convenient place to do so. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the service was OK as our server was also working another large table. It has a bit of a cafeteria look as there was a serving bar, apparently for breakfast, near out table. That detracted from the experience. However, it was quiet, despite the man at the next table who had a problem with everything, and we were able to converse with our friends nicely - even though the two guys have hearing problems - and not just selective hearing!

Good Service

By Jim D |

Place was very busy because a lot of people were cashing in meal vouchers from airlines. Food was OK but the service was excellent. Our server was Maria, very pleasant person from Bogota, Colombia. She coped with all the hectic activity and treated us very kindly with prompt service.

Breakfast is good, dinner was a tragedy

By A C |

During our stay at the Sheraton hotel we had breakfast at this restaurant. The breakfast was good and the employees were very friendly. However, our dinner turned out to be a completely different story. The chicken noodle soup was nothing but a simple chicken broth, with no chicken and 0 noodles. The French onion soup was even worse, it literally was a ball of cheese mixed together with some broth and some onions, i'd say that 90% of that soup consisted of cheese, it was absolutely disgusting. The pizza we had was dry and hard, it felt like we were eating crackers with tomato sauce and mozzarella. They overcharged us for this joke of a dinner, would not recommend.

A good breakfast

By glyncookson |

nice clean restaurant, only took "a la carte" breakfast not buffet, never sure how long it's been sitting there and have previous unpleasant experiences (not at this hotel) of buffet breakfasts. Prefer to have something cooked fresh (hopefully). It was very good at this hotel (eggs benedict)..

food was superb

By victor b |

tHE cHEF came out and said hello I recall his name to be Frank. You don't get that service that was a treat

Great in hotel restaurant

By onebzyldy |

Perfect for a bite . Just a little on the pricey side, in our opinion. But food and atmosphere was wonderful.

Pleasant Enough

By gillian h |

Went here to get something to eat after a long haul flight and also for breakfast, Staff evening and morning lovely, did not want much in the evening so shared a Pizza with a green salad, both were really nice as was the house white and lager, could not fault food or service. Breakfast hubby had full English I had continental both o k food fresh.

Service was off.

By branger |

Here on a Sunday morning during the breakfast buffet. The server was trying hard to get us all to order the buffet but I chose to order from the menu instead. One of my table mates ordered coffee. The server asked if he wanted cream and sugar. Brought the cream but not the sugar. I ended up getting the sugar from a vacant table. Later we needed catsup and Tasbasco. It too was never brought to the table. Someone else at the table had to go look for it. My main complaint about this place is that the service was inattentive. It wasn't due to a lack of available servers as there appeared to be many. Choices in the area are limited. If you're on foot, you can go back to the airport and dine there or order delivery. Perhaps it's was just an off day as other reviewers stated they had good service. I would hesitate before returning to eat here.

Hamburger for lunch is a solid choice

By mshbnyehud |

Staying overnight at Miami Sheraton Hotel, I elected to stay in for a late lunch (2 p.m.) and was quite satisfied with my choice. By that point, the lunch "rush" was well over, there were only 8 persons in the entire restaurant, and I received superb service. The lunch menu doesn't really have very many choices, so I went with a basic bacon cheeseburger, with a side of french fries and I ordered BBQ sauce as well. The burger was perfectly cooked medium (and I do mean perfect) and fries were also nicely done. Everything came straight from the kitchen piping hot, just as I like it. I enjoyed the BBQ sauce as an option instead of ketchup. The burger was topped with a heaping of fresh lettuce (crisp and cold), a nice large slice of tomato, bermuda onions and a couple of sweet pickle slices. My only criticism was the hamburger bun which, while toasted, wasn't by far the best bun I've ever had. It's probably the only thing they should consider changing. I ordered a Diet Coke on the side which was replenished 3 times without extra charge. By the time I finished my meal, I was the only person left in the restaurant. A 15% gratuity was automatically added to my bill for service. All told I had a very satisfactory lunch experience here because I stayed with the basics and received excellent service on a sunny, beautiful Miami day.

Convenient and good

By Leigh-Ann H |

Had a great breakfast at the Rickenbacker and the staff was fantastic. I just wish that hotel breakfasts were not so pricey.

Great service

By soulefultraveler |

We don't usually eat at airport hotels, but this was the only option. A huge group arrived all at once, and the staff did a wonderful job of keeping up. Food was tasty too.

A GEM OF A RESTAURANT

By Guillermo M |

I am a Miami local, so I have high expectations from the food establishments that I visit. There are endless choices in Miami, so good restaurants are a dime a dozen. Therefore, I am always searching for a GREAT restaurant, one that goes above and beyond. Such was the case with The Rickenbacker. The service was outstanding. The server, Gloria, was quite pleasant and made a wonderful suggestion of trying the Chilean Sea Bass. Yes, it was DELICIOUS. I had no idea what I was in for, an exquisite delicacy for sure. So, THANKS Gloria! In fact, the chef, Tiffany Butler, was courteous enough to come out of the kitchen and welcome us to the restaurant. We were in awe as to how well she made us feel. She made our mouths water as she talked about some of the other desserts she knew how to make. Some of which involve Mascarpone cheese, I LOVE IT!!!! My wife and I will unequivocally be returning to this wonderful gem of a restaurant.

Average food, decent service

By Don D |

Bostohr, the server, was excellent in his service and aiding me with my meal. Food is just OK here, but convenient if you're staying at the hotel.

Fantastic service, delicious food.

By Fzedlach |

I should note from the top of this review that I ate at the bar (which technically has a different name), though the food is the same as the Rickenbacker, and the bar is attached to the restaurant. I had an excellent bartender, who was prompt, professional, friendly, engaging, and courteous. I had the tuna appetizer, and was not disappointed. I found it fresh, full of variety, and tasty .The prices on the menu are reasonable for an airport hotel restaurant, especially given the top quality. If you are near Miami airport, staying at the Sheraton, or a nearby hotel...I highly recommend this restaurant.

Hotel Bar

By Karen S |

Victor, our bartender, was fantastic! Great drinks and recommendations. Friendly, efficient and great happy hour prices. Lots of TV's to watch your favorite team.

Tasty food but expensive.

By DougWilts |

Good service and excellent, freshly-cooked food but, with a "captive audience", prices are high, I thought. I objected to waiting staff highlighting the fact that tips are not included in bill. I accept that Americans have a different attitude to tipping than those from some other countries.

Convenient!

By Corrib |

As we were staying at the hotel chose this place for convenience. It was fine for a quick hamburger, but certainly not fine dining! The server was a bit surly at first, but became a little more friendly. Reasonably priced.

Poor value

By boyce1021 |

The breakfast was to be ready for 6am only cold stuff was ready for that time egg station was not ready for 6 am think they need to adjust there breakfast start time .

A Pleasant Restaurant

By wanderingel |

I had read other reviews saying that this restaurant was expensive, but being isolated at the Sheraton didn't give us much choice. It has a nice dining room with views to the outside, and the menu has some nice sandwich options besides their regular entrees

Good food at reasonable price.

By Sylvia T |

Nice and bright, overlooking the golf course and swimming pool.Staff friendly and efficient. Evening meal was ideal as they do good choice of meals and breakfast was excellent. It is buffet but everything was well stocked and fresh.Make your own pancakes/waffles etc, bacon, sausage, grits, hash browns etc. Eggs all cooked to order.Loads of juice and good coffee, even had french toast.

Great service

By Tammi A |

MaryAnn was the best hostess.... Very accommodating staff. Angel was the best waiter! Food was good, hot and made to order each day!

Better than on airport options by miles

By UKStevieH |

After spending quite a bit of time at MIA we have come to the conclusion that the landside catering options are all pretty awful so using some lateral thinking got the shuttle to the Sheraton for lunch. Drinks took forever because they don't seem to know where the wines are. I had to go to the bar in the end myself. The waiter was friendly and nice and the food (chicken quesadillas and a burger) was excellent, really hot on hot plates with hot tasty fries. Much, much better than anything at the airport and recommended. Cheaper too.

Aloof service

By Tara L |

One night stay @ Sheraton, not impressed at all w/the onsite restaurant. Servers were unattentive, food was "adequate" but nothing to rave about, plus there wasn't much to choose from. Wasn't sure if this was a casual place or upscale, decor was a little confusing. After very slow & unattentive service, it's doubtful that we'll return.

Drinks

By KimmyUNC |

We had drinks and ordered the best hamburgers you could ask for at a hotel. I especially liked talking to Yohandry who was very nice and gave great service. He was attentive and fun to practice my Spanish with.

Service customer-oriented

By Henry E |

Chef Tiffany and waitress Gloria were excellent in their service to me. Courtesy and empathy were trademarks in their approach.

Not recommended

By Bean5303 |

We were stuck at the car rental facility at the airport in Miami and looking for lunch. A short walk, but food and service were disappointing at best

Tasty for Room Service

By txfrekles |

We ordered in room service -food was good and large serving both on the sandwich and dessert items. If one is not too hungry you could split a meal ... just sayin'...Breakfast the next morning was chaotic with many customers and coffee refills were non-existent -typical breakfast items - We ordered from the menu and could have rec'd the same items had we chosen the buffet as the wait staff merely took our items from the buffet. Had we wanted the buffet we would have ordered it - very disappointed in quality of breakfast.

Very Poor Service

By tcgirl3 |

We dined fairly late at night (9pm)in the Sheraton Hotel at Miami Airport. We waited forever for our food and saw people who came in after us get some of the same food as we had ordered, before us. Then the waitress told us our food was burned and it had to be redone. Then another waitress came and apologized and said they were short staffed in the kitchen and offered us free dessert. When we all three of us ordered dessert, they said only one was free but we could have a 15% discount. My husband got really mad as we were tired and just wanted to go back to our room, not make a night of dinner. They ended up giving us a 50% discount but it was not an enjoyable experience.

Affordable

By Dorothy31359 |

Stayed at the Sheraton and went down for dinner that night at Rickenbacker. The service was very good. We didn't have to wait long at all and the pizza was delicious. It also had a nice view of the golf course though it was a little dark at the time. Wouldn't mind going back again.

Excelente food

By Lizmery W |

The lunch was really good. Specially the seafood and ratatouille. Deserts were pretty good as well. Very cordial staff.

Terrible food terrible service

By marcdegueurce2013 |

Stayed in the Sheraton for o e night as we had an early flight to catch. Arrived late so not many options for dinner. No wories decided to go to the hotel restaurant. Started well with the restaurant manager on the ball. Then it all went downwards. The wine selection was not good so decide to opt for beers. Nothing wrong here. However we had to hail , waive to the staff in order to order, to know what was happening with pur drinks. Whenthe food came : scallops - jumbo proawns - flat bread everything was of poor quality. I spent most of the life living by the ocean so ibcan tell my seafood...this was mediocre. Ok it was cheap but still. If I had to stay again in the hotel I would stick to the bar option and have a sandwich to be honest. Sevice would certianly be bar service and food would be ok i assume.

Convenient if you are staying at the Sheraton

By rockyjoe |

The Rickenbacker Restaurant is located in the lobby of the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel. This hotel is located right outside the Miami airport across the street from the airport rental car exit. It is literally right across the frontage road from the airport. This restaurant has an aviation theme which is not surprising since it is so close to the airport. This restaurant has an indoor seating area and you can also eat outside on the patio next to the swimming pool. The outdoor patio was great and I ate out there both mornings. The only problem with eating outside was that it was a smoking area so there were several smokers at a nearby table. I stayed in the Sheraton Hotel so ate at the Rickenbacker Restaurant both mornings as it was very convenient (I did not see any other restaurants near this hotel). They have a full breakfast menu and also have a full buffet and a continental buffet. I had the continental breakfast buffet and primarily just selected fruit from the fruit bar. I also ordered a cup of coffee each morning and did not particularly like it as it was very strong. The fruit was really sweet and tasted great. The continental breakfast buffet was about $15 plus they automatically added 18% tip to the bill. I did not realize they had added the tip on the first day so added another 20% by mistake. I learned my lesson and did not leave a second tip the next morning. Even though I only ordered coffee and had the continental breakfast I thought the service was bad. Both servers forgot about me and did not refill my coffee or bring me my check. I had to wonder through the restaurant when I was done eating and try and remember who my server was so I could pay and leave. I think I was their only outdoor table (most people were sitting inside) so that is probably why I could not find them. Overall I recommend this restaurant for breakfast if you are staying at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel as it is very convenient.

Rude and Forgetful Staff

By Charlotte T |

My family and I were dining at the Sheraton while waiting for a plane back to England - we had a room booked also. When we first arrived the staff were very helpful, we played games and had a couple of drinks, then ordered our food a couple of hours later. The young waiter who took our order couldn't speak English very well and didn't write it down. The food came out with only half our order, and our food was cold by the time the rest of the food arrived, so we had to send it back to be warmed up. After several attempts all our food came back hot and together. The manager who helped us was a little rude through the process, at one point telling us to "try not to get too upset" over our food, although she did give us a discount and didn't charge us for some of the food, which was very lovely. The food (when it was all correct) tasted amazing.

Breakfast buffet

By patraveller2007 |

Rickenbacker is located in the Sheraton Miami Airport. Breakfast buffet starts at 6 AM. Godd timing for an early flight. Nice selection of hot foods and many others cooked to order. Large selection of fresh fruit.

Friendly staff and swift service

By Mary A |

We arrived in the early evening and there were very few diners already in situ. We were greeted warmly and seated at a window seat. I cannot comment too definitively on the menu as we dined lightly and did not take full advantage of the dishes on offer. But, we were very pleased with the service and one of the servers made a special point of greeting us at breakfast the following morning at breakfast - we were surprised at being recognised again!

Very satisfied

By Martha Q |

We held several meetings over two months in February and March and we had lunch at the Rickenbacker every day. The choice was either a buffet or individual menu. The buffet was replenished very often. The buffet included a choice of beef, chicken or fish (or all if you're inclined) as well as vegetable and rice or pasta dishes. The desserts were very tasty usually offering a warm dish as well as assorted cakes and pastries. The cook was very friendly and accommodating. He provided many tasty dishes to keep us satisfied. There is also a salad bar a side special of the day entree, dessert area and daily soup. The restaurant staff were very friendly and always available to assist with any request.

Great service and food

Ate a burger on the patio and it was excellent. Fries were extra. Service was extremely good and the staff very friendly.

Fine spot for tired travellers

By Allegany |

We had a long day travelling and it was 5pm when we arrived at the hotel. We relaxed for awhile before deciding to get dinner. The hotel restaurant seemed the easiest option. The menu is not extensive but enough options as to whether you want soup, a sandwich or a full dinner. Our meals were fine and pleasantly served by our waiter.

Stick with the sandwiches!

By Mary D |

The food was average at best. The pizza that my husband ordered was something I could make myself and I can't cook. How do you mess up pizza? I had a chicken flatbread and it was equally average. On the other hand, the club sandwich was large and tasty. The bartender Victor made a great martini and after a couple of those, I forgot all about the food!

Alex was great!

The breakfast was great! Alex was our server! He was very friendly and had much attention to us! Tanks Alex 😊

Friendliest Staff in Miami

By debandkent |

Great food, terrific service & tranquil views of golf course. You won't find a nicer group of staff or more accommodating menu.

Rude

By T123194 |

They make a mistake with our order which is fine but the manager was very rude when trying to correct it. It wasn't sorted to our standard as we recieved our missed items really late which meant you didn't eat them together and were cold when it arrived. Although, she did begrudgingly give us a discount on our food which made up for the poor service a little bit.

Phenomenal service, delicious food

By KathyDiRusso |

Great buffet breakfast with fresh made omelettes and lots of fresh and local fruit. The wait staff is incredibly attentive...drop a fork and there's one on the table pronto!

Nice location, convenient, but overpriced

By Donal L |

Staying at this hotel was very convenient for me and my clients for pre and post cruise experience. There are not a lot of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. I just could not bring myself to pay $20 for a breakfast bar.

Fuel to continue

The restaurant is functional, providing fare suitable for locals (First time eating grits) Nice fresh fruit, regular coffee service and friendly staff.

Average food

By Margaret B |

Lunch and dinner were not very good. I have eaten here everyday for a week. There is nowhere else to go. The Hotel is near the airport with no real neighborhood just huge highways. The service haphazard and very slow. The best food I had was the Turkey Club. Can't wait to go home.

Ruben made us feel welcome

By GypsyGirlSue |

Ruben and all the other friendly dining room staff made us feel welcome during our 4-day stay before and after a cruise. Both the food and service were excellent! We would definitely go back!

A good choice if you are near the airport.

I was registered at Sheraton Hotel for Business purpose, and I did choose to eat at Rickenbacker Rest. with no expectation, but the wonderful service they give me (thanks Katia) was a game changer i did enjoy further more my excellent salmon.

Bar at Sheraton Miami airport

By AuntPH |

Love the bar at this hotel. Victor makes a fabulous Pina Colada! From 4-6 they have half price. I'd pay full! Great bartender and very attentive. The food is great too. Especially the pizza!

Dinner menue lacks imagination

By Adrian C |

Thought I would take the easy option and go for a burger and fries, can't go wrong or so I thought, not In this instance. Burger was dry and fries looked like they had been recycled from lunch time, no relish had to ask for mayonnaise. My wife fared better at least her fries were an acceptable colour hot and freshly cooked. Saw pizzas being served nearby and they looked less inspired. On a plus side the breakfast was much better with a reasonable choice of buffet style hot and cold selections and friendly service. Shame about the construction site coffee mugs and cream jugs that looked like they had been used to propogate seedlings.

great place!

really good food! great service. i recommend the chicken sandwhich and the breakfast buffet so yummy

Under staffed and under managed

By Ortsac |

Decided to eat in the hotel after a long day of travel. The restaurant want busy but it took 5 minutes for someone to even notice that i was waiting to be seated. After I was seated, it was another 5-10 minutes before anyone came to my table. I contemplated leaving but decided to just order a salad - should be quick and easy. Took at least 30 minutes to get my salad. Then while I was eating, someone else tried to bring me a second salad, not knowing that I had already been served. Getting a refill on my soft drink was a challenge as well. Maybe it was a bad day for them but it seemed like no one knew how to manage the restaurant.

Very big and comfortable , perfect for families and pets allowed!

By NatashaGarcez |

I loved the ceaser salad and orange juice . Just before the flights minutes away from the airport , very convinient and the price was fair for a Sheraton.

Xerox Group Dinners

By Reggie C |

Great food, but logistically challenged at times. Tight coordination will be required to keep your group on schedule.

Very boring menu

By Centurion999 |

Not sure what happened but I read reviews saying the food is so awesome. Came at dinner time and took a look at the menu. It's not very comprehensive at all and pretty much mirrors the in-room dining menu to a T. There was nothing special or awe-inspiring on the menu. Just mostly cookie-cutter room service kind of dishes.

Fair fare

By Barbara P |

Ate chicken Caesar for supper and continental breakfast, both were good. You can pay for a full breakfast if you need more, but the items on offer, cereals, toast, fruit and yogurt, Danish pastries were enough for us. Fruit juice tea and coffee were served by waiting staff.

Good food

By Mica D |

We ate breakfast at Rickenbacke. Chefs do the dishes for us. The food is very good quality to health.

Not impressed.

By MrJJones |

When we got in that evening we were hungry and tired and after being seated had to wait quite a long time for our food that was brought out by a gentleman that was servicing 5-6 full tables and he was not at all able to keep up with the service needed. Then the next morning which has a much shorter time window for breakfast than anywhere else that I have ever stayed. Also, after asking for a glass of orange juice that the polite and smiling female server poured her,my wife brought to my attention that there were bright red lipstick prints on the glass and we realized that instead of picking up a clean glass the server grabbed a glass from off of a stack of dirty used glasses. Polite but not very professional.

Complimentary Continental Breakfast

By Mercedes6408 |

Stayed at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel and this restaurant is attached. It was convenient and the staff were pleasant -- one lady pouring juice in particular. The usual continental breakfast was served (juice, coffee, pastries, fruit, and cereal). For $7 the whole buffet was included. We wanted to have dinner there with a friend from the area but the hotel charges $15 for parking alone. If you spend $50 at the restaurant the parking fee is validated. We went elsewhere.

Good food, really mediocre service

By jbrown68 |

Like others, we were staying at the Sheraton and were to tired to go out for dinner. We were a group of six, so not too large. The food was surprisingly good. My salad Nicoise had beautifully seared tuna and fresh veggies. I ate some of my daughter's roasted chicken was was juicy and flavorful. Everything I tasted was delicious. If I were judging by just the food, I would give this place four bubbles. However the service was atrocious. It took forever for a waitress to come, forever to get our food, forever to track her down to order dessert. Not all the meals came together, so folks had to start eating while a couple of us waited, waited, waited. The place was deserted, so it's not like they were busy with other guests. Getting a glass of water refilled was impossible--simply gave up. So if you happen to be staying at the hotel or at a meeting there, the Rickenbacker's food is definitely worth a visit! But plan for a long meal, because you will be waiting an incredibly long time for your food.

Decent food , good service , affordable pricing!

By bigzanc |

We ate here while we were staying in the Sheraton pre and post cruise. Rickenbacker is open for breakfast and lunch , then serves dinner in the MBark lounge . The lunch and dinner menu are the same. The service was excellent . Atmosphere is okay in the restaurant and MBark. The food is very good and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. We had the Cuban sandwich, French onion soup , a pepperoni pizza and a burger. The French onion soup is excellent with lots of onion , a tasty soup and a thick layer of melted cheese atop a thick slice of bread. The pizza was hot, thick with melted cheese and sauce and scattered with pepperoni. My favorite was the Cuban , a classic done hot and tasty. All at reasonable prices This is not fine dining or haute cuisine but good hot tasty food with good service. 18 % gratuity is added to each bill.

Excellent...!!

The steak was delicious... Pizza anyway... The attention of young Edi and Eva, great... Very nice atmosphere. It feels very comfortable !!!!!!

EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY AND ORIGINALITY

By Marriott Lifetime Titanium From Chicago |

We have eaten at this restaurant on many occasions over the past five years and have had nothing but OUTSTANDING service, with the highest quality of food and presentation. Chef Frank Liberoni (along with Chefs Enyelber Castro and Emilio Canales) is very creative and innovative, providing a wonderful array of choices. Chef Frank is very involved in his creations and strives to make sure that all of his guests have an enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself is very inviting, with a covered patio area for outside dining. The bar area is very chic and elegant, with beautiful mesh screens, including one depicting Pan Am stewardesses from the 1970's. We have outstanding service, including Claudia, Angel and Ruben for breakfast; and Gloria and Maria for dinner.

Better than I thought it would be

By 80237travel |

I didn't know what to expect because the online reviews are not great. However, I was captive as a guest at the Sheraton since there wasn't anywhere else to really go without Uber rides. I actually ate twice here. Once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch it was confusing because there was a buffet that looked like a salad bar, but this was not promoted nor did anyone ever say anything about it. I ordered a salad off the menu and ate it outside by the pool. The salad was okay but the chicken was chopped up. Because it was chopped, it was impossible to tell if I received a full portion of chicken. Getting a glass of wine at lunch was almost impossible because the lobby bar is closed until 1 PM, which is an issue because apparently that is the hotel's only source of alcohol. It took 3 separate employees to get one glass of wine. The wine list is average. Pretty much grocery store wine with some brands marked up by 300%, which is outrageous even by hotel F&B standards. For dinner, there were about 7 other hotel guests eating in the very large restaurant dining room. However, the lobby bar was a busier place with maybe 20 guests drinking or eating from a menu similar to the restaurant. I didn't like the music in the bar and opted for the restaurant's dining room. Service was acceptable, but nothing special. Still, it was better than what I have experienced elsewhere. I like that the staff dress up in shirts and neckties. It looks good. I ordered salmon that was a little expensive, but the portion size was large (probably 6-8 ounces) and, most importantly, it was cooked perfectly. Like steakhouses, side dishes aren't listed on the menu as complimentary but I wasn't charged for my asparagus. The asparagus was excellent. While the service was fine I was never offered coffee or dessert. I also never received any bread. Overall, my biggest complaints were: 1) Automatic 15% tip is added to your bill. I didn't notice this and almost tipped an additional 15%. This is unethical because most guests probably do not realize a tip has already been included. 2) The prices, including for the very average wine list. I understand hotel restaurants are always expensive but the restaurant's prices are the same as much better restaurants. $34 for salmon is on par with Cafe Roval and much nicer restaurants. Cut the food prices by 10-15% (they will stay make tons of money) and fix the wine list. Selling $15-$18 wine for $60 is a rip-off. 3) Improve the atmosphere. If you don't drop the prices at least refine the atmosphere and service to match the prices. The restaurant is hidden away and the hotel front desk does not promote it. The lobby bar is cannibalizing the restaurant.

Perfect dinner at a perfect price!

By Heather N |

Okay so usually, hotel restaurants are VERY pricey. So we were pleasantly surprised when we ate at Rickenbacker at the Sheraton Miami Airport hotel. Not only was the dinner DELICIOUS but the prices were VERY reasonable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. Our waitress, Gloria was fantastic!!!! Not only did she constantly come and check on us, she even taught us how to do some cool napkin folds. All in all a VERY pleasant dining experience for our final night in Florida.

Great Pizza and Mojito

By Troy B |

I enjoyed pepperoni pizza and a mojito at Rickenbacker while I stayed at the Sheraton. The pizza was great and I had a free drink hotel voucher for the drink. Couldn't have worked out better!

Very good covid precautions

By patraveller2007 |

Staff in the Rickenbacker were all masked. Breakfast was a served buffet and though limited was better than anticipated based on prior reviews. This restaurant is really making a tough situation work well and should be commended for their efforts.

Had the pleasure to see and experience Victor at the Sheraton bar! He is spectacular! Conscientious, courteous, and very professional! Quintessential barkeep!

Only good breakfast buffet in the area

Good but expensive ($19 ) breakfast buffet. There is just nothing else in the area but Perkins. We walked over from the Element hotel as their breakfast was pitiful.

If you don't want to venture out

Good food, expensive prices. I think you can take the shuttle to a local mall for other restaurants but in a pinch the food is good.

Great servicer Denise

My wife and I are visiting Miami for the first time. We ate at the Rickenbacker restaurant at the Sheraton Miami Airport. Got great service and advise on things to see from our server Denise.

NICE FOOD

By Lee L |

We stayed at the Miami Sheraton hotel near the airport after we finished our cruise. We visited the Rickenbacker bar / restaurant that night as we were too tired to go out. The food was good and so was the service. Just found the room a bit sterile and lifeless.
