Outstanding souffles

By Mary T |

What a quaint, charming, beautiful restaurant.. I loved everything about it. The Decor and ambience is by far the cutest restaurant I’ve been in a while. The cheese wheel was so fun and yummy. I wanted to try every one of the soufflés but we ended up splitting three of them among the six of us. It’s a great place for a special occasion especially with some ladies. Their menu is limited to soufflés of all different kinds. They are all delicious and everything was perfect. It’s a little bit of a splurge but worth every penny.

Must try this

By onlyoneme1 |

The food was amazing. I would recommend having the marshmallow soup (its tomato soup with goat cheese "marshmallows") and a soufflé for dessert.

Amazing food. Dani was awesome!

Dani gave me the best advice. Amazing meal. Please get the crab soufflé/ artichoke dish and chocolate soufflé. The BEST!!!!

Lunch With a Friend

By sarcar97 |

I am giving this restaurant only a 3 because I wasn't overly impressed by the souffle and it was very expensive. Everything is a la carte so if you want a salad with your souffle be prepared to pay for it. The service was average as well, not as attentive as the prices would command. My friend & I were there for a late lunch, it wasn't crowded & we were seated on the back side of the main room just off the bar. We could hear the conversations between the staff & watched the comings & goings of staff at the bar. I had chosen this restaurant on the recommendation of colleagues & friends, I can say that I have been there but probably won't return.

What a great place to eat!

Wonderful appetizers, soups and the soufflé's are to die for...especially the desserts! LOVE this place!

This was a first time for me. Wanted to try something different. Good choice. I had the crab soufflé and it was very good. It wasn't on the menu but the waiter suggested it

Rise does not disappoint!!

Amazing food!! Hot fresh bread, amazing French cheese, great French wine and delicious soufflé . Truffle soufflé and grand marnier were both incredible. The service was as good as the food!

The best soufflé in town

By Ana R |

Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere and most of all the soufflés are excellent. I had one of the best they offer: the lobster soufflé. They also have an exceptional selection of wine. I totally recommend this restaurant.

A delicious slice of France....

By claireparr |

I first went to France in my 20’s. I clearly remember the champagne on the Air France flight to Orly, back when Orly wa the airport most flew into.... and the pounding of my heart as the taxi drove us into the heart of Paris, a city that would become my home away from home. Everything about Paris exceeded my romantic young girl’s imagination. I couldn’t stop smiling. God has even arranged a gossamer rain shower so I could see the Eiffel Tower through the prism of water droplet on my window as we drove through the beautifully gray morning light. Paris would grow, over years of visiting, to become a home town for me across the Atlantic. Forget that I was a Dallas girl halfway across the world... the French took me in and teased me with witty sarcasm, fed me with incomparable cheeses and eggs and stews and glasses of champagne and lovely burgundy. The French taught me to slow down. To stop. No eating on the street. No rushing through meals or conversations or shopping. Things in France weren’t lazy, but they were intentional. They knew their business.... love, art, fashion, food, wine and debate. It was impossible to be surrounded by the aching perfection of Paris, and not to look inside oneself for a better story to tell. A friend who knew my love of all things French grabbed me for a reunion luncheon after I moved back to Dallas for an unfortunate medical melt down. I couldn’t eat much, so I needed something light and forgiving. I needed to be cheered up. We were going to have a long and deep discussion. She told me to meet her at Rise, and told me to be prepared to be in heaven. She was right. From the moment the heavy wooden door opened to a packed little seating area full of French linens and tablecloths, my eyes adjusted to the romantic lighting and o took in the twinkling lights on the birch tree forest in the middle of the main dining room. We were seated and given a warm welcome and a short but perfect menu and wine list. I won’t bog down with the whole menu here.... suffice to hit the high points like their infamous “marshmallow” soup that is a fresh and thick tomato bisque topped with fluffy and indescribably delicious mini soufflés of gruyere cheese, and garnished with a simply perfect drizzle of pesto. The second course for me had to be the mushroom with truffle. It was light and delicious and perfect, but still packed a filling punch and I had to make room for my flawless grand marnier dessert soufflé. My friend had the crab, which was perfectly awesome as well, fitting the servers description as the world’s fluffiest crab cake. We both sampled champagne and settled into some Riesling and a Pinot noir. Our server kept us full of water and fresh bread and butter. She was lovely and attentive but never once interrupted our intense catch-up conversation. Something that takes a lot of attention to master.... In the months since my return to Dallas, I’ve managed to find several reasons to come back here with friends and solo. There is something so warm and comforting about this place and the staff. No matter what I have ordered, it’s emerged from their bustling kitchen in perfect shape. Soups, salads, souffles.... and while I keep leaning towards the non soufflé entrees, I cant get past the core of this place. There’s no place else like it, and no other restaurant in Dallas that captures France in such a charming and authentic way. It’s perfect for a cozy date, a birthday, friends catch up. Anything that asks for a good place that honors excellence. Merci Rise no.1.... I’m moving to Fort Worth next week and heard you’ve got one over there now too. Oh dear..... I know where my first brunch will be!

Go for it! Totally with it!!

Shared a perfect artichoke served with a sauce that is worth the trip by its self. The crab souffle was outstanding. I have had crab souffle and their lobster. I personally prefer the crab. It has a beautiful traditional souffle rise and is most in the middle. The standout for me is the grand marnier dessert souffle. It is sweet, but not too sweet. Moist, but not too moist. And you can add as much or as little of the sauce as you wish! My husband really enjoyed his pecan praline dessert souffle and announced he would order it again on our next visit to Rise. For my husband, that is saying a lot!

A Wonderful Anniversary Celebration!

By KristaRiner |

A most elegant and exhilarating occasion at rise n°1, one to be forever remembered amidst a glorious cuisine experience! Palate delicacies, detailed hospitality and an exciting vibe flows in the air the moment one arrives to the very end of their satisfied departure. Noteworthy are all the staff, from friendly hostesses to the gérant de restaurant’s stellar service —his refreshingly warm vigilance as one dines is of utmost excellence. This echoes in the superior maître d'. Execution of every delight was point on as innovative creatives were offered by the chef’s mastered varieties. The marvelous hors d'oeuvres, unmatched soufflés, rich desserts, the house drinks, one must try them all! — Even the salads stand sturdily and virtuously on their own! Of course, we could not have left the place without taking home a vessel of their perfect salad dressing! In final thought, rise n°1’s refined, quaint establishment is one I give high recommendation. In need of a romantic evening setting in a bygone era of French country eloquence that beams alive through the night? Then, this is your place to celebrate that will take you back to visit time and time again! After all, one only has so many celebrations in a lifetime! Best experience we have ever had in dining!

Treat Yourself!

By Lillybg |

It was difficult deciding which items to order because they all sounded so wonderful. Loved all my choices - the marshmallow soup, crab souffle and chocolate souffle, plus tasted my friend's pistachio souffle. The coffee was excellent as well. Will definitely return to try the other selections. It is expensive if you order 3 courses. The patio was a nice setting for late lunch with nice weather.

Excellent service and comfort food

By kelly |

Cute restaurant with great service. Everyone there was kind and they helped us with the menu. We got 2 onion soups and soufflés, and the restaurant serves free bread throughout.

Bland soufflés - what could be worse?

By P C |

It amazes me that anyone could get excited about a Soufflé. On the taste spectrum Soufflés are way over on the bland end of the spectrum. I tasted 2 different ones, my wife's and mine. A good crab cake, somewhat analogous, would taste much better. Soufflés dominate this restaurant's menu. The remaining entrées are very few in number, sadly. The salad was excellent but a bit too sweet for my taste. For this restaurant to be among the top 5 in Dallas is bizarre.

Clever menu of French themed items. The souffles are authentic and superb. I also recommend the wonderful salads. This is a popular place but you will be treated well.

Soufflés are not just for dessert

By Knomad73 |

Ris #1 has perfected the art of the savory and sweet soufflé. Their soufflés are not just pleasing to the eye but also to the palate. Their menu of savory soufflés is quite extensive ranging from mushroom and spinach to duck to crab. Their sweet soufflés range from fruit and berry-based options to bread pudding and bananas foster, They also have Gluten-free options in all categories. Ask about their special off-menu specials. In addition to soufflés, Ris has a variety of salads and soups (try their ‘marshmallow’ soup, it is delicious) and desserts (my favorite is their apple tart with a dip of ice cream... Yummm. The service is impeccable. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. You can enjoy your meal and have a good visit with those at your table and never know that your glass is refilled. The price is on the pricey side for a meal, but considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere, well worth it for a special date with your sweetheart or a business meeting with work associates.

This is a very good restaurant

By Mentsightseer |

I was reluctant to eat in this restaurant at first, but after having my first meal here I would give it 5 stars. The food has an excellent flavor and the atmosphere is very warm and cozy. I feel that this can be a heavy meal so prepare your self for very good food that is heavy. I really enjoyed my meal but felt it later.

Birthday celebrations

Seven ladies out to celebrate birthdays for 2 of them. We got the reserved area inside branches wrapped in lights. It was a wonderful, private setting. The food and drinks were pricey, but delicious. Great for a special occassion.

Hot Dallas venue with unique menu.

By Ternosky |

The wait in a tiny entryway on weekends is an hour so we walked across a driveway for cocktails at an Italian restaurant bar (of course we were called when our table was ready). The menu is quite slim (not a bad sign) and the service was brusque. The surroundings were mismatched but the overall look was casual cool. As for the food, everyone at our table was quite pleased with a variety of freshly served quiche. I being the old-timer at the table had one major challenge, I couldn't imagine escargot quiche as the main course. As it all worked out, we all left happy and satisfied with our experience, however, I saw Rise as better suited to ladies' lunches and a younger more adventuresome clientele in the evening.

Excellent in every way!

By CJ L |

Enjoyed lunch here with a friend and had a beautiful meal. Literally. It was a stunning restaurant with loads of character. The food was perfectly prepared and plated. The soufflés and soups were so very good as was the service. Treat yourself and thank me later!

New Year’s Eve brunch

Great place! Everything was yummy! The banana pudding was outstanding! Love the decor. We tried the 3 specials: duck, crab and Avacado soufflé. The cheese platter is also amazing.

Sorry, didn't like the texture...

By dana b |

If you don't like jelly texture, don't bother.. It had a wonderful taste, but the texture killed me and gave me nauseous, so I couldn't eat that... Also, it a bit expensive...

Cute restaurant, good server, a little racist?

By Mary C |

This is a cute, cozy restaurant. I came here with an ex-boyfriend once (uh-oh! Did it just get awkward?) and it was great! We were seated outside and they had little scrabble words we were able to play with. The apricot soufflé was absolutely memorable along with the marshmallow soup. However, the escargot soufflé was extremely salty and the cheese soufflé was delicious. I came years later with my family for a birthday celebration and made sure to stay away from the escargot soufflé and the cheese soufflé. But I had the marshmallow soup again (which btw, it's not marshmallows, it's cheese.) We all got different kinds of soufflés and we tried them all. Crab, crawfish, pesto, apricot, creme brûlée, and chocolate. All were great. All very filing and huge (that's what she said). However, the reason why I gave this place four stars instead of five, is because we sensed this place being a little racist. Not the waiters but we noticed the hostess would ask those waiting (who were Caucasian) a glass of wine. But my family along with others (who were not Caucasian) were not offered the same treatment. This is just something we've noticed.

By BlueJay |

My second trip. I love the idea, lovely food. I however, have noted the soufflé s eat a little dry and are one note as far as flavor profiles go. I vote for a side sauce to accompany, creme fraiche or something might help.

An anniversary dinner

By Jim Schwalls |

A wonderful setting with great service. I was pleasantly surprised by the food choices as I have to admit the idea of a souffle for dinner was not something a 'hearty' eater might enjoy! LOL. What a pleasant surprise! Choices and wonderful tastes abound. A great dessert followed and yes, a souffle! Give the place a try and you will be back.

excellent

By dverucchi |

I love this place! I haven't had a bad meal their. Atmosphere is wonderful I have been back several times

Went here on our Anniversary...

By J B |

Let me start by saying that the food is as good as you can imaging. The savory and sweet are both great. We had the Chariot de Fromages (different kinds of cheese to try), Jambon & Gruyère and the Herb & Spicy Sausage savory soufflés. For dessert we had sweet soufflés apricot and then Tarte au Fruit (apple). Out server Tania was great and very attentive. I also have to mention that when we first arrived early Sunday evening that the person who took our name to seat us really just out right lied. We asked to be seated by a windows on the patio area. We noticed several vacant tables when we walked up. Maybe 10 empty table out of 13 or 14. I explained this is out Anniversary and asked if we could sit by a windows on the patio. She said their was no available tables. We just waited a moment trying to process that statement then another greeter was there also and said "let me check" and of course there were. Then they seated us in the least private part of the patio. This was okay, but no one even took time to say 'Happy Anniversary' or even inquired. I really don't need to hear that to enjoy my anniversary but it was disappointing. This was a very special anniversary for us. So this kind of put a cloud on our experience at rise. This was our first time here. I gave it good marks because the food is great. I don't want discourage someone else from going, the sweet and savory soufflés are great. They can take 25 to 30 minute to bring out, but that is the price to pay for good food.

Amazing

By Jim A |

Everything is spot on. To start with the cheese cart(selection is 2nd to none in Dallas), The decore is comfortable and relaxing. The savory souffle are great and of course, the deserts ones are divine(try the banana foster).

Excellent spinach soufflé! Of course the chocolate dessert soufflé was amazing! The atmosphere was relaxed, cozy, and reminiscent of all things French. Service was great! Lovely experience! Loved the quote of the day on the way out the door!

This place show us what good attention and service means. From the moment you walk in to the restaurant you feel an excellent smell and the personal give you a nice treat. I was with my family and everyone were very pleasent with the food. Thanks for everything!

Good and Fun Place to eat

By daddyandpapa |

Overall - Rise is a fun place with great service! It's a bit pricey (lose the expensive small Diet Coke bottles) but the soufflés are good - some better than others. The savory soufflés are very good (crab was tasty) , some of the dessert soufflés are pedestrian and are ordinary. I had the chocolate soufflé -- it didn't have that bright bursting taste of the main ingredient -- Chocolate -- it was muted and rubbery. The praline soufflé was better -- the bread pudding dessert was again muted in flavor and not very good. Overall - Rise is fun - a novel idea -- but if you are a soufflé place -- you better get it perfect -- not just right.

Perfect night!

I can not say enough about how wonderful this meal was tonight for our anniversary! From the quaint curb appeal to the sweet young lady who greeted us to our server, every part of tonight was wonderful. Food is spot on! Avocado special was a great decision and bananas foster dessert was also the perfect choice! Pictures is the apple dessert! That was also gone by the end of the meal! 😋Will be back!!!

Fantastic Souffles in minutes!

Rise is one of my favorite places to eat! Every one of them are delicious. I am actually headed back tomorrow and have had the escargot on my mind. The Marshmallow soup is amazing. It's just a great Dallas restaurant.

Brinkley

By Troy B |

We liked the sound of a restaurant that specializes in Soufflés for their main course and desert and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was very whimsical from the inside, tableware, napkins, etc. We started with a tomatoes bisque with goat cheese marshmallows. It was accompanied with super hot and perfect French loaf and good quality butter. It was shared and enjoyed by all of us and would definitely recommend trying the soup, because the goat cheese marshmallows truly melt in your mouth. We decided to jump right in with ordering 3 different dinner soufflés, ham & guerre, truffle and mushroom and crabmeat. All came out incredibly perfect, puffed and lightly browned. They were so hot, they almost burned our mouth’s. We tried each other’s soufflés and thought the truffle and mushroom was the most intense in flavor, followed by ham and finally the crabmeat. They were all amazing and cooked to perfection, but the truffle/mushroom was very special. We stuck with our theme and ordered a chocolate and grand marnier soufflés to share. Both came with the same perfect puff and brown crust. The chocolate had a small pour of bittersweet chocolate to break the crust and pour it inside the soufflé. The orange soufflé came with a vanilla bean sauce to again, break the crust and pour inside. The desert soufflés were amazing, but my boys agreed that the dinner soufflés were the best, because they have not had these in a restaurant prior as a main course. We really enjoyed our experience, wait staff and would definitely come back if we are in Dallas again. It was a 15 minute drive from downtown and really worth the trip for various reasons, but mostly the amazing dinner soufflé choices. Thanks for a great and unusual dining experience!

Fun, pretty place!

By Ruth R |

We come to this terrific restaurant about every 2 weeks. The food is delicious and we love sitting at the bar, sipping wine and watching people. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is super friendly.

Above delicious!!

By QuinteroD |

This place atmosphere is great, service was amazing and the food to die for!! Ask for the tomato and souffle!! You will thank me!

Excellent souffles

By Bob A |

The souffles are all excellent, savory and sweet. The wine flights were both disappointing with less than half being good and a couple bad. The top wine in both was good.

Kitchen theater

By Kay M |

Great ambiance, friendly staff and great food! We sat in the kitchen theater section which is like a bar, you get to watch the chef make everything right there in front of you. The low lights gives you a romantic feel, one would think you were in Paris instead of Dallas lol. And they are very military friendly! 🙌 I recommend the marshmallow soup and lobster soufflé.

Always a treat

By MSLovell |

I love introducing friends to rise no. 1. The atmosphere enchants, service is highly competent and the food ... omg ! I just wish the souffles were smaller so I could order the soup, salad and a savory soufflé and enjoy the bread !!! Waitstaff is so helpful when choosing a soufflé - and do ask about any specials ...

Best restaurant in Dallas

By Stephanie P |

I was absolutely flabbergasted at the selection of amazing souffle entrees. The crab souffle was to die for. The charcuterie board was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection. The green beans were wonderful. The chocolate souffle was out of this world. Even the ham and cheese baguette was something special.

Best soufflé and amazing salad ladies lunch spot!

By K in cabo |

Rose soufflé is authentically french bistro. The onion soup is the best in town. The soufflés are divine. The fresh crunchy hot bread and creamy butter set the stage. The salads and dressings are scrumptious. This is one of my favorite ladies lunch spots. We can bring our fur babies and sit in the charming enclosed patio, with curtain separators and have conversation. We started with french onion soup and the perfectly prepared artichoke appetizer. Our entrees were large rise salad with salmon and the sun-dried tomato pesto soufflé. For dessert we had the new bananas foster soufflé. Everything was fabulous. Eileen is the best server. She pays attention to every detail. Our water glasses were never empty. She even discreetly cleaned our table top from crumbs between courses. The staff is super kind and welcoming! We highly recommend Rise! We highly recommend

Reserve early, a great eating experience

By All-reviews-for-free |

From start to finish this restaurant was highly professional. The staff was friendly and didn't visit too often. The food was fresh and exceptionally prepared. We tried three savory and three sweet souffles. The savory ones were a bit heartier while the dessert ones melted away in your mouth. All had great intense flavor. The only exception were the mini-souffles in the marshmallow soup. They were cute, but really had no goat's cheese flavor so they added nothing to the profile unfortunately. Great French village vibe with an open kitchen. Make reservations early as it fills up fast.

Surprisingly good!

I’ve been to rise n.1 on Valentines, enjoyed the place and loved the food! Their soufflés are something you cannot find anywhere. Highly recommended!

Souffles! So hard to make, so easy to eat. This place makes the best I have ever had! The Bananas Foster souffle was absolutely perfect. Left us wanting more!

Soufflé Extraordinaire

By Keith D |

Rise does soufflés and some limited French style menu items. But you don’t come here for the other, the focus is on the extensive soufflés. We came here for a birthday celebration and enjoyed a cheese plate, multiple flavors of soufflés and several excellent dessert varieties too. Nice wine selection. Only drawback is that they are extremely busy on weekends and even calling several weeks in advance might not secure a reservation.

Wonderful French dinner!!

By CarsonsMommy |

In town for our daughter to visit SMU, and had a fabulous 1st nights dinner here! 5:30 reservation seemed early, but was packed! Great ambience, service and food! Loved the marshmallow soup, the spinach soufflé, and the chocolate soufflé! Great wine lust as well!

Really unique with great service. The food was amazing. The table bread alone is worth the trip. It's a beautiful space that really stands out.

Fantastic Lunch!

By eichsttl |

We had lunch here with a group of 7 people. We had advance reservations. Service was absolutely impeccable. Our waitress went out of her way to explain each of the dishes on the menu. The decor and ambiance were very inviting and comfortable. The soufflé’s were absolutely outstanding. They just melted in your mouth. I love bread pudding so I tried the bread pudding soufflé. It was amazing! It was the lightest and probably the best bread pudding that I’ve ever had. We would love to return to this restaurant.

Fun and Unusual Bistro with Great Service!

A rather cozy, bohemian atmosphere with wonderful French selections. Jeff is an outstanding waitperson & will make your gathering special. Only problem is everything sounds & looks tempting so difficult to decide. Enjoy and come again as you never know who will be dining there.

Excellent in every way

By Laurie M |

Three of us came from Weatherford to celebrate one's birthday, and the bites we shared from each other's dishes made the experience that much better. Will definitely return!

Souffles!

By Dominique E |

The specialty is soufflés, so you can have savory and/or sweet ones. We had a crab soufflé to start then a raspberry one and the were delicious. You get warm French bread and butter. A bit noisy in some areas ( especially the long room by the window) but worth going there.

Wonderful Experience

By Damian C |

Wonderful experience on our first visit. Beautiful ambiance, it had the feeling of a restaurant that you would find on your ski vacation in Tahoe, hard to believe it's in Dallas. This place is so adorable, the food is beyond delectable and service was excellent. Over the top phenomenal. The bread was so delicious, freshly made so warm I couldn't stop eating it. Unfortunately, I did not try the soufflés but will be coming back as I hear they are to die for. I ordered the Steak & Pomme de Terre 6oz center cut filet with roasted fingerling potatoes, haricot vert, & béarnaise and let me tell you, I have been to many many restaurants, 5-star restaurants, you name it but this little whole in wall place which is enchantingly beautiful had the most succulent, most memorable steak I've ever tasted. It was cooked to perfection as it melted in your mouth and the vegetables, never have I had such tasty veggies, I am not one to like veggies at all but at Rise they were flawlessly delicious, can't wait to come back with a much bigger appetite so that I can try the soufflés.

Good soufflés, and otherwise great light foods, but not a "restaurant menu" at all.

By Ulysse W |

...it is just so utterly WRONG TO CALL THIS A FRENCH RESTAURANT! Why? Their Soufflees are very good; this is their main asset, incarnated even by the restaurant's name. All good, all good. But the restaurant menu is NOT a restaurant menu. One Ahai Tuna entry and a 6oz center-cut filet steak entree don't make a restaurant. And a 6oz center cut filet for 40 $ is even ludicrous. This is a "light meal" and soufflé place; don't call it a restaurant. Maybe the fault is with Trip Advisor's classification.

A new meaning for the word Soufflé's

By Pnut Travel Guidebook |

I have been for both brunch and dinner and both times I have been impressed with the choice of menu items to dig into. You cannot go wrong on any of their items - even if the description is far out --> trust me, they have magic in these soufflé's that is indescribable. Love the variety of senses and surroundings this restaurant offers Don't let me forget all their very cute towels and trinkets that are French inspired for a gift or for a home decor item!

Ladies Lunch

By TexasZs |

We met our friend who was about to catch her flight after her conference, so we were limited on time but wanted an experience. This was the perfect getaway! The restaurant is beautiful and homey, the perfect setting for our reunion. The soufflés were amazing! We have all had a soufflé during some part of our lives but never like this! The soufflés were expertly prepared, light and airy with no egg taste. It was fantastic, we can’t wait to visit again.

Best souffles -better than France

By Katie B |

I ate there just week. The ham & cheese souffle was to die for. So flavorful. I had the grand marnier Soufflé, which is the best I have ever had and I have had them in France many times. I highly recommend this restaurant for the authentic French dishes which are executed impeccably. To the management, I wish you would open a restaurant in Atlanta. We can't get food like this there.

I love rise!

By Luckycat |

Food and atmosphere are always five stars. This is a review on service, not anything else! On my last visit I sat at the bar. It took awhile, but once the bartender acknowledged me, he was totally inattentive. (I had to ask a server passing by for more bread.) However, the twenty something lady also sitting at the bar, got his attention frequently. I’m a senior citizen and was celebrating my birthday alone. That wasn’t the problem, but being ignored was. I will continue to frequent rise, not sit at the bar, and enjoy every minute of it. Don’t change a thing! You guys rock!

Dinner at Rise during Christmas 2022

By Rohinton K |

It was nice to see Mr & Mrs Claus entertain all the Young at heart. Glad to see them eat at Rise together too. We both had soufflés and they were both extremely Tasty and Terrific. Eggy, light, a pleasure. Bread +"Guillotine" + butter were also good . Busy restaurant but we waited barely 5 minutes. Plenty of parking + Shopping nearby. We enjoyed our dining experience.

Unexpected gem! Romantic atmosphere, DELICIOUS food!!

By travelandsee2017 |

Unexpected gem! Romantic bustling restaurant with the feel of a European cafe. We dropped in here late on Christmas Eve without a reservation. They were cheerful, told us the peak rush was over, and seated us immediately. Food and wine were great. Mushroom soufflé was perfectly done, the bread and salad were fresh and tasty, and the bread pudding soufflé for dessert was KILLER good!! Obsidian Cabernet was pricey but delicious. Would definitely go back.

Soufflé world

By MARY D |

Tasty but how many times would I want to go out for soufflés? Nice wine list . The service was very good . I would go back but not for at least a year. Good date place for a different food experience.

Perfect soufflés, delicious French bistro fair

By Jennifer H |

What a charming place! The decor is rustic French country, and so is the menu, except for the sophisticated soufflés! We began with the chef’s choice cheeseboard which featured four delectable cheeses and proper assortment of cornichons, quince jam, niçoise olives and candies nuts. We could have stopped here and been satisfied, but we had to try the soufflés! I had the crab and my friend had the whole lobster salad and the marshmallow soup. The crab was ethereally light, as though a fresh crab cake had been mixed with a cloud. Her salad was very good and fresh, and the soup was satisfyingly rich and meaty (La Madeleine wishes it’s tomato bisque was this good.) For dessert, I had the bread pudding soufflé and she had the raspberry. Both were cooked to perfection, except mine was better because it had a light caramel seal. I really enjoyed this restaurant and look forward to returning. I want to try the rustic French ham sandwich with sweet butter.

Sly high souffles

By Kathleen9989 |

This was my first time having a Souffles and it was delicious. My family and I orded the marshmallow soup, parisan sandwich, crab and avocado souffles. Everything was great. I really can't compare this souffles to anything else but they were very flavorful and fluffy. We did indulge in a chocolate souffle for dessert and I think that was my favorite out of everything. We paid about $100 for all 5 plates. Good food, great service but i can't really say I'll ever crave a souffle.

Great service and excellent cuisine

Had the salmon soufflé, and it was mouth watering. The waitress provided excellent service! It did not disappoint...

Always an extraordinary experience. Delicious souffles and like an escape to France. Love this place so much!!!

Soufflé Heaven

By NegrilBum |

Table of five all different orders and everything was wonderful. Stick to the soufflés and just enjoy yourself. Lobster and Key-lime soufflé specials were amazing.

All types of souffles very good and soups.

By Willis D |

Onion soup was very good and the souffles were cook just right . Service is always good very enjoyable.

Happy birthday to me

By czmdivenut |

No tables available at 6 but there was room for 4 at a small bar looking into the kitchen. IMO maybe the best seats in the place! Amazing to watch them make souffles. Great food - had gazpacho, lobster souffle, and a raspberry souffle. Marshmallow soup also looked really good.

If you like everything as a souffle....

By Wda6335 |

Then this is a place. Everything was offered in a souffle. Sorry, but that's not my thing. I mean it was all souffle and nothing else. LIke a whole meal in a souffle. Souffle for an appetizer, main course, and dessert.

Really great place for a lunch date

By Scott Charles |

My wife and I love to go here for lunch. The atmosphere is very Provence (not Dallas) and the experience takes you to a country restaurant in the South of France or potentially England (outside of London). The Souffles are awesome, I like the crab personally. Get the dessert one, its worth the calories. We usually get the grand marnier and never regret it. The portions are small, so don't go if you are starving. The glasses of wine are a nice touch. IF you like Champagne, its your place. We've always had very good service. Sit in the outside section.

Soufflé heaven

By Michael H |

Absolutely fabulous souffles, savory and sweet. Plus marshmallow soup, which has tiny cheese souffles atop a delicious tomato soup. The menu also includes wonderful salads and some protein. One of our favorite spots for lunch or dinner.

Something different in Texas

By JimB |

Two couples went on a Friday evening and had a great time. The atmosphere was good and the food outstanding. Lots of fun and something different from the typical Texas steak house.

LOVED this place!

By ColumbusTravelers87 |

Loved this place so much!! The ambiance is fantastic and the food is so unique and delicious. We tried 3 savory soufflés (the duck, the southwestern chicken, and one with chili in it) and loved all of them. We also had a salad which was good and the MOST delicious bread. My daughter was begging to go back on the way to the airport our last day just to get some bread! We loved the "marshmallow soup" and the dessert souffles, too.

Complete Worth A Dining Experience

By Mark M |

I've wanted to check out Rise for awhile. Last week we had lunch there and were completely impressed. If you like soufflés and French cuisine in general you are in for a treat. Don't be fooled by what may appear to be a small serving. One soufflé is quite filling and delicious.

Good but ....

By Lynn J |

Been going here since they opened. Love this place, especially since it is family owned. Souffles are good, salads and soups are good but the Bread is always cooked too much and hard to eat. Waiter said she always tells kitchen not to cook it so much, they don't listen, would like to have bread with my salad or soup.

Amazing!

By Chuckus1 |

Great souffles, delicious salads and the onion and marshmellow (tomato and goat chesse) soups are amazing. Cute atmosphere and nice gift merchandise for sale too.

NEVER buy a gift certificate from this restaurant. It will not arrive and they will refuse to refund

By T D K |

DO NOT EVER purchase a gift certificate from this restaurant. I do not know how their food is, heard it was great so I purchased a gift certificate for $150 for a friend. When I discovered it never arrived I reached out 3 or 4 times via the phone speaking to managers who said they would handle it. Nov 2020 finally was given and email address for a Ms Olivia. I sent her the copy of my receipt and she forwarded to Dallas Rise manager, Ms Lauren Bindel who did not get back to me. On 12 July 2021 via email she finally agreed to issue a refund to my credit card. Their refund did not credit to my account and she said to give it more time. A month later I asked for them to just send me a check. NO RESPONSE. When I finally called last week, she informed me because I got frustrated with not getting the credit to my card and asked for a check, her owners told her to stop all communication. I have no recourse now but to let everyone else know to NOT EVER buy a gift card from them.

Best way to end the evening

By Shadi A |

We had just finished dinner at a nearby restaurant and decided to have dessert at Rise. We walked there, the place was very cozy. We ordered 4 types of Soufflé: - Grand Mariner - Chocolate - Raspberry - Their champagne special one We enjoyed them a lot. Next time we will be trying the savory soufflé. The ambiance was very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Outstanding

By NOLA_2011 |

The artichoke app is a must and every souffle is remarkable. You can get on the waitlist for a table via Yelp - cuts your wait time down quite a lot...

Excellent service and food

By Explore60896438085 |

Outstanding attention to detail. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with lunch at 2 pm on a Monday and no crowd at all. Everything was excellent and the prices are reasonable. The bread was hot, fresh and delicious. We shared a champagne flight, then split the marshmallow soup. This is one of their signature dishes and was delicious. It is a tomato bisque with a goat cheese soufflé that is actually a cheese puff that looks like a marshmallow but certainly doesn’t taste like one. Wife had the ham and cheese savory soufflé and I had the special of the day crab soufflé. Both were excellent. We split the praline pecan soufflé for dessert. Service was great and all the food was delicious. Soufflés are not nearly as filling as diner fare so this may not be your best choice if you are looking for quantity of food. Great for a date meal.

Marshmallow soup! Yum!

By Blmhouston |

Marshmallow soup! Yum! The soufflés were awesome as always. Salad was great too. And the service was perfect.

Amazing atmosphere and food

By MKELLEY2002 |

I feel in love as soon as we walked in, truly feels like you're in Europe! French onion soup was superb. The Southwest soufflé was really good but i felt it lack Ed something. The chocolate soufflé was also fantastic. I’ll definitely return because it was delicious and seriously one of the cutest places I’ve found in Dallas. It’s worth the visit!

Lunch

By Kris-Tina W |

Went in July for birthday luncheon. Crab souffle and simple house salad excellent, as was dessert souffle. A tad pricey, but worth it for a quality lunch.

Manifique!

By dunham433 |

I come from a small city so I appreciate the diverse eateries in a big city, such as Dallas. My sister took my mom and I to lunch here. The bread is wonderful and is served on a guillotine-ish type board (ha-ha, very French). We all ordered a soufflé: french ham & cheese, southwest style and duck a l'orange and all were excellent. If soufflé's aren't your thing, they do have other options available (soup, sandwiches, cheese trays, etc). The portions are ample, the décor is French country chic and the service is spot on. We wanted to split a dessert soufflé but we were so full from lunch! I think a return trip here for us is a must. The eatery is located in a large strip mall so there is ample parking.

Ambiance, Service, Food

By yellowpixels |

Two couples for a birthday dinner - wait staff did an outstanding job. No food auctioning. The waiter knew exactly what each item on the menu was all about. Excellent bread service. Almost like being in France except it's still Dallas. We'll be back. The place is not large and their sign is hard to see - look for the wooden Eiffel Tower by the front door. Definitely worth the wait - yes you probably will have a wait unless your party is large enough to make a reservation. They have a patio so this could be considered outside seating - maybe when it's warmer they open it up.

Unique

By rhpatt29 |

An unusual menu and theme - a soufflé specialty restaurant. Well, it is actually very good. The menu is basically soufflés and sandwiches. It has a few soups and the onion soup is awesome. The bread is fresh and warm. The soufflés are excellent and you can choose from several options, including sweet soufflés. Very enjoyable and delicious.

Great food and atmosphere

By dotdotdoc |

Met my friend for lunch and had some great food. The decor was beautiful and the service was excellent. Everything came at a nice casual pace and we never felt rushed. Would recommend making reservations since they get really busy at lunch.

BEST SOUFFLES

By Exploration769050 |

Right now they have pumpkin souffle and it's better than any pumpkin pie you have ever had. Also, the atmosphere is delightful. You feel like you are sitting in a French bistro. Wonderful dining experience.

Soufflés to die for

By taitaihk |

We went here for a family lunch, didn’t have a reservation but were lucky to get a table. It’s a charming little place with a cosy seating corner with books and gift items near the entrance. The staff are welcoming and friendly but it is the food which shines. The menu is small and mostly soufflés as the name suggests, so that is what we had of course. The marshmallow soup to start was almost a meal in itself, delicious with light fluffy goat cheese ‘marshmallows’, and the signature crab soufflé was divine, as good a soufflé as I have had anywhere. Sadly we had no room for dessert but will make sure we do next time. Highly recommended.

Decent but Overpriced

By Jamal H |

I came to Rise for dinner as I had some time to spare and wanted to try something a bit more out of the normal range and due to the price range. The atmosphere was very unique and added a nice village type scenery. The furnishings and the lighting as well as soft background music combined very well together. It was rustic and charming but it did not feel forced. The bread starter was solid, the bread was a very nice French loaf but the main highlight was the serving board, which had a knife attached to the contraption; this had practical usage since I found it easier to cut the bread with the knife attached to the cutting board. My group got the smoked salmon soufflé, ahi tuna, and the steak: The steak was filet mignon so it was very tender and lean; the dish was seasoned well and had good char on the sides, blending well with the béarnaise sauce. Although I ordered medium rare but it seemed closer to the rare side of the scale, but it was still a fine cut. The haricot vert was not very good as it was under-seasoned and oily. The ahi tuna was cooked very well and the crust was nicely seasoned with a good flavour and paired well with the quince preserve. The chilled haricot vert and tomato salad however were not seasoned as well, similarly to the steak dish. The soufflé, although we were initially skeptical, ended up being the best dish. The egg was cooked well in that it did not intrude into the overall flavour profile of the dish (one of my initial concerns was that the egg flavour would be a bit strong), which was excellent and the goat cheese flavour really took things over the top with the smoked salmon rounding off the dish nicely. My main complaint is the service, which wasn't bad necessarily, all of the servers and staff I encountered were warm and welcoming, but our waiter did not seem to check on us much: it took us around 15-20 minutes before we ordered and we had to call another server to get our check. While the restaurant did all the little things well in the aspects of atmosphere and main courses, the side dishes' lack of flavour and relatively inattentive service by our assigned server do drag the rating down just a touch.

Savory and sweet!

By patriciagF855RV |

Love the savory souffles, salads, and bread! It is very difficult to get reservations - make them well in advance for a Sunday.

Not Gluten Free

By Raquel T |

Had a reaction to a “gluten free” soufflé I was served. Confronted the manager a few days later and was told that cross contamination can happen in the kitchen, so the soufflés are not entirely gluten free. The soufflé I was served was tested this past weekend as well and was flagged positive for gluten. Very disappointed in this restaurant.

Wonderful atmosphere

By gogigi2014 |

I would recommend this restaurant as a great place to have lunch with friends. The atmosphere is wonderful and the soufflés are fantastic. However, when I went with my husband, he was not really impressed. He was still hungry even after eating a salad, an entree, and sharing a dessert.

Grand souffles

By Paul R |

Wonderful variety of souffles, well done, both as main course or as a dessert. Service was very accommodating.

My oh my this place was terrible.

By Jess |

My oh my this place was terrible. First the food: Bland over prices Soufflés that were not at all worth the money. I got the herb and sausage one, which was supposedly their customer favorite. If you're not accustomed to flavor then sure by all means, order it. Their marshmallow soup appetizer was just a joke. It's just bland store-bought-tasting tomato soup with three dollops of dumplings inside. And their ham and cheese sandwich--well, let me tell you this; you could get a better one at a soup kitchen line. The baguette was so hard and tough i felt like a Neanderthal yanking and tearing for just a simple bite. Not to mention the ham taste like cheap canned meat. The service: Oh here is where Rise just out did their selves. Our water "Josefat" spoke with a made up French accent behind his mask. Let's get something straight first: Understanding someone with a mask is difficult, that's a fact that became quite clear during 2020. Someone speaking with a heavy accent is also hard to understand. Now combine that with speaking through a cloth mask with a heavily fabricated French accent and man-oh-man you got yourself a fiasco. Josefat explicitly informed me that I should order my dinner soufflé and dessert soufflé at the same time since they take so long to make. I was A-ok with that, because I appreciated the heads-up. I ate my disastrous food and waited and waited and waited and no dessert. I had to flag him down (because the large table behind us got his undivided attention) and asked him where was the food. he proceeded to argue with me that he told it would take longer when he first spoke to me. After a back and forth exchange i just had him cancel it because 1) I did not want to wait another 30 minutes for something i ordered an hour ahead of time and 2) I knew it would taste atrocious anyways judging by everything else. One good thing (maybe): They sale overpriced merch here and there is the insanely macabre T-towel that i kid you not has a picture of an egg telling the hen "Momma i dont want to be a chicken I want to be a souffle" I soooo would have bought that crazy tea-towel if my experience wasn't pure trash.

The best.... One of my favourite places to eat out in Dallas... The home-made bread is delicious… And the chocolate soufflé is absolutely amazing

Gluten Free heaven!

By Cdsdz |

Love that there are gluten free options that are delicious! So happy I get to eat there every now and then! Quaint atmosphere and great shopping!

Charming ambiance, delightful menu

By Ginny7624 |

I love this place. The only problem is trying to pick what to order. I want to try everything. With so many restaurants that seem much the same, I love this one for its uniqueness and high quality food. A very fun and happy place.

Going back!

By Tom P |

Great place. We ate there last night. Who would believe that a restaurant featuring soufflés for starters, entrees and deserts could be great? The food is fantastic, the staff is helpful and friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a bistro in France. Artichoke starter, escargot soufflé & roasted red pepper/chèvre soufflés for main courses and praline soufflé & key lime soufflé for desert made for a great evening. If you are in Dallas and tired of steak or Tex Mex, this is the place to go. We are going back tonight.

For Special Occassions, Especailly Ladies Lunch

By Cocos_Life_Travels |

This is a wonderful, one-of-kind French restaurant with lovely, authentic French decor and beautiful food. I have been many, many times and have never been disappointed. I always order the marshmallow soup and my guests and I then share a couple of savory soufflés and a couple of dessert soufflés (my favorite is the Grand Mariner.) Regarding the pricing - I think it is expensive, but completely in line with all the other upscale restaurants in Dallas. You will probably spend the same amount here as elsewhere.

Not worth the wait

By John Moore |

Rise does not take reservations. You can call ahead, but you will still have to wait. The hostess explained that they are located in a strip mall and keep the tables open so people who are shopping in that mall can walk in. You get on a waitlist, then go shopping, and they will text you when your table is ready. I did not find that it was worth the wait. I guess if you are shopping in that mall anyway it would be okay, But the experience is a lot more downscale than the impression they give from their web page.

Our Very Favorite Restaurant

By Marsha C |

Since 2010 rise no. 1 has been our favorite place to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. This time I had the marshmallow soup and Southwest chicken souffle. They were absolutely delicious. I've enjoyed their Parisian Jambon sandwich several times. It is the perfect sandwich, similar to ones I've had in Paris, maybe better. For dessert I always order the chocolate souffle. We've never been disappointed in the food, the service, or the ambiance and seeing Hedda Dowd is always a treat.

Fabulous

By CinD |

Gina was my favorite server at this restaurant. The food is very good and the cauliflower is the best. But, there are so many that are also very good.

Rise up!

By Steven V |

Found this little gem by accident, but it was quite the experience. First off, service to me is two fold. Management style and service experience are greatly noticeable in this quaint inwood area establishment. They give a nice run down of the menu first, so that you are able to personalize your experience. I took recommendations from most of the trip advisor bloggers, and ordered the marshmallow soup. A wonderful tomato and basil soup that would be fantastic on its own, but floating miniature souffles on top is a play on whimsey. Ok, they have set a pretty high bar at this point. I took a dive into the savory side with the escargot souffle. Under the egg white pillows, were well prepared little gems of flavor. Garlicky and buttery, this plate went back very clean. Finally, I had my sights set on a combination dessert... bread pudding souffle. Two of my favorites combined into one fantasy. Best thing since chocolate & peanut butter! At this point, I can only say to that bar that was set... RISE.

Excellent food

By Climber240381 |

I ordered the marshmellow soup, or at least I thought I did, along with the crab souffle. I only got the souffle, but it was outstanding.

Devine breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner!

By LauraJeanLud |

Heavenly May be insufficient in describing the soufflés here. I/ We have been more than a few times and always it’s been delicious. Service is no small part of the experience. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about the menu, questions about wines, specials and dessert soufflés were helpful and accurate. They are present but never are you hurried which lends itself to the perfectly enjoyed consumption of the soufflés or steak while trying not to eat too much outrageously delicious bread.. The ambiance is warm and lovely as a recent post read on Instagram ‘I feel like I’m in France’. Highly recommend. Oh and the steak was cooked as requested and fork tender!

Looking for something different? Here ya go...

By Kari M |

We came across this shopping area and decided to try Rise because it seemed like something different—-and boy was it different...& good! For better variety, shared a salad, “marshmallow” soup, soufflé and a dessert soufflé. All were amazing! We didn’t have reservations so we sat at the bar & service was fantastic. They have 2 bar areas—-one where they prep the food and the other is a wine bar. Although we had wine, we sat at the food bar and was so entertained watching them make all the great, different foods. Give it a try, I’ll think you’ll be impressed. Only suggestion —they need a bunch & serve Bloody Marys—it would go great with the existing menu.

Always delicious ...

By Jerome G |

Who knows how many times we have lunched at Rise No.1 over the years but it never gets tired, disappointing or boring. They continue to add seasonal entree and dessert souflees. Who would have imagined a Cauliflower or Pistachio or Key Lime souflee? I don't know if i will ever order anything but a souflee from the menu even though other dishes looked great. Make a reservation because you do not want to be disappointed. COVID protocols are in place.

Fabulous Souflee

Lunch with girlfriends or a romantic dinner always feels special here. Food is French & outstanding.

Rise no 1 rises above the occasion

By Kathy M |

As always, the food is impeccable here and consistently great! Everything is delicious but some of my favorites include the marshmallow soup, the cauliflower soufflé and the bread pudding soufflé. Matter fact the only disappointment I’ve ever experienced year was the chocolate soufflé. Visit often it’s an absolute delicious experience

Not impressed with the souffles!!!

By Luke D |

Service was excellent, onion soup gratinee excellent but our entree souffles' were not good and we left half of them. I have often had a dessert souffle but if I am going to have a crab cake or duck ala o'range I will never have it served in a souffle. Everything was ground up with egg and I had no idea I was eating duck. We were both very disappointed and will not return. We were hoping to bring two friends who are arriving this week for dinner but not now.

A delicious way to eat light

By David J |

The main courses and desserts at Rise are all soufflés, so this is a place to get tasty food when you don’t want heavy food. Each item is cooked after you order it, so don ‘t plan to grab a bite and run. Each item takes time. They will even recommend that you order dessert at the time you order the main course. They also have good salads and wines.

Sweet spot

Rises Above

By Jason F |

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner. We had a fabulous dinner! This is an excellent place to come. We could not have been more pleased with our meal. My wife ordered the southwest chicken souffle; I ordered the herb and sausage souffle. We were pleased with both selections as the taste was extraordinaire! I will say you must be prepared to wait almost 30 minutes due to the cooking time required for souffles. We also shared a praline pecan dessert souffle which did not disappoint either. I highly recommend this place. Ideally, you should come with another couple as tables for two are limited and not strategically placed. The only underwhelming moment was the apricot iced tea. This does not deserve to be on the menu.

Our Weekend in Dallas

By Matthew D |

Well, my family and I are avid fans of souffles. We have traveled around the world and automatically order a souffle when offered. We have been baking our own souffles at home ever since our children were very small. One of children even produced a school report on how to bake a souffle. She got the recipe from a textbook called Professional Baking. We were so enamored with this restaurant and its' souffles when went there 3 nights in a row. The ambience is perfect and the servers professional. The prices too are very fair. This restaurant is an absolute must try. Have the Red Rhone wine they serve too.

Soufflé

Souffle First

By Lori |

I am a foodie, and I was surprised to realize that this was my first time experiencing a soufflé. I shared with my friend two of the daily special soufflés (a ceviche and a crab one). We also had the marshmallow soup and a salad. Everything was delicious. The decor was charming. A tad pricey, but a memorable experience.

Great food and atmosphere.

By dotdotdoc |

Loved, loved, loved the food. The marshmallow soup was amazing! (Marshmallows are actually puffed goat cheese) Probably my favorite part of the meal. The variety of soufflé were great and it was tough to make a choice. Have to have a dessert soufflé as well. I wanted to lick the bowl when I was done. The patio was a really nice spot with great atmosphere. I’d recommend it for a girls lunch or romantic dinner.

One Francophile to Another

By davidsonh2016 |

Friends in Memphis have been encouraging us to experience Rise and finally, this trip we made it for lunch. I was immediately entranced. The arty decor, the beautiful antiques, the plantings and paintings, to say nothing of the food. It all smacked of a well thought out plan. We cozied up to the bar to watch the food prep, a delight in itself, and gorged ourselves on the nice crusty bread, followed by artichokes and crepes. One crayfish, the other crab. Tasty Divine. And even though we ate every bite, we didn't have that stuffed feeling. I can't wait to work myself through the menu.

Everything about rise was top notch. The waitstaff was so helpful in making my decision about what I wanted to have for lunch. Dessert - chocolate of course for me- was creamy and light. The atmosphere is comfortable and classy. I enjoyed lunch with my daughter - immensely!

Fun French ambiance with best soufflés. Teenage children say it’s their favorite and we love it as well. Wide variety of dinner and dessert soufflés. Former Presidents eat there.

Experience France in Dallas

By Junkmail6953 |

Its a great little place that almost like a hole in the wall. But once you enter inside you realize that the place is bigger than it looks. However the way it is laid out, every table gets a private space of their own. Very well done, And the staff are the best in the world - I can say that since I have travelled the world extensively the service here is up there with the very best. Kudos!! I will be coming to this place often

Better than expected!!

By tawnikitten |

Absolutely delicious! The marshmallow soup was a nice surprise. My husband and I shared soufflés so we could try a few - crabmeat, jambon & gruyere, and blueberry. We loved every bite, and we will be back! The ambiance is adorable and cozy too.

Really special!

By Nancy A |

This restaurant is an incredible treat. Atmosphere and food that you can not get anywhere else. Presentation was spectacular. We had the signature crab, the southwest and the salmon souffle. Then shared the chocolate for dessert. All were spectacular. Waitress was super nice. But is anyone else tired of being asked "How's it tasting?" This place should say something like "Is there anything I can do to make your experience perfect?" The answer will be "No, you have exceeded our expectations!" This would make a fantastic date night, brunch. It was our send off as our daughter was being dropped off at SMU. This is indeed a special place, but it can be enjoyed all the time.

Very Good Food

Loved the ambiance, impeccable service, and absolutley delicious marshmallow soup and souffles!

By Karen W |

While visiting the area from Pennsylvania, we searched the internet for French restaurants and found this gem. Loved the ambiance and the impeccable service. Never heard of marshmallow soup before, but decided to try it. OMG, it was soooo delicious! The savory souffles as well were absolutley scrumptious! I highly recommend Rise Souffle and ask the owners to consider opening a restaurant in the Philadelphia region where I live.

This was my first visit. Had lunch with my daughter. Didn't think I was a soufle guy. Boy was I wrong... Marshmallow soup was unbelievable. Next was the cauliflower brie soufle for the main course. It melts in your mouth. Finished up with the key lime soufle. F A N T A S T I C.... And yes, I waddled out. What a meal..... Service was the best. Will definitely be back.

Rise: Where Soufflé Becomes an Art

By DFM |

This bistro is entirely dedicated to soufflés and wines, and it delivers beautifully. The menu is simple, yet every option is excellent. The cauliflower and Brie soufflé was outstanding, and the mushroom soup—topped with small goat-cheese soufflé bites floating on the surface—was equally impressive. Choosing a sweet soufflé was no easy task; I tried both the chocolate and the raspberry, and each was superb. Don’t miss this restaurant, and be sure to book in advance—they’re in high demand.

Love this restaurant!

We love this restaurant and the experience! The food, no matter what you get is amazing. We spend every anniversary there and of course inbetween times also!

As Light as Air

By Jonathan P |

Wonderful service and very good food. The menu is somewhat limited---if you don't enjoy a souffle, then there really isn't much else to eat except for a salad. If you do like a good souffle, then there are few places in this country where they are prepared this well.

Great tasting food

By Armando R |

The service was awesome, and the atmosphere was unique. Im not much of a wine drinker, so I had a moscato which was delicious. We ordered off the menu specials given by our server. My wife ordered the "crab" and I odrered an avocado ceviche. There were but souflees and rhe taste was excellent. I also had the pistacio and my wife had the bread pudding. Also, very tasty. The only issue I had was that I guess I'm not that big of a souflee fan, maybe because of the texture. Also, the marsmallow soup was not as good as I thought it would be.

Girls night out

By barbara b |

This is a charming place that has wonderful food and wine. We started with the cheese tray. The marshmallow soup is great! Not a real marshmallow, but cheese that looks like one, in a wonderful tomato soup. The soufflés were delicious and not too filling. Definitely save room for the dessert soufflé and fruit tart with ice cream.

We went to Rise for a late lunch after visiting the DMA. The decor and atmosphere are charming and our server, Suzanna, was perfect: friendly, knowledgeable, and timely without hovering. Our soufflés were lovely ( Southwest Chicken and Brie with Cauliflower) and the marshmallow soup is a treat. I highly recommend delightful French-themed eatery.

Huge, and tasty!

Delicious! I've never had a souffle before. It was bigger than I expected. You have to order your dessert in the beginning. Very tasty though

Fun

If you’re looking for something other than bbq in Dallas, this is a good place to try. The atmosphere is fun and the little details make a big difference. The marshmallow soup was recommended by our waitress Laina. I can see why it is so poplar. We went for lunch around 12:30 on a Friday and did not have a wait. The chocolate soufflé would have been perfect with some whipped cream.

An Intimate French Cafe

This is a marvelous little French gem specializing in everything wonderful. There is nothing I would not recommend. If you're lucky, you may get to see President Bush sitting at his favorite table. It's quiet, intimate, charming and romantic. Servers are personable and efficient. Highly recommended for couples or family. Our favorite!

Great place to take visitors.

Always amazing. Great atmosphere. Food delicious. Sitting at the bar is the perfect option for singles/couples. Had friends in town who were blown away.

Yum!

Thanks to Dani for the great advice! We had a delicious meal and the soufflé was the BEST! We will be back for sure!

Out of the world !

A quaint, picturesque French restaurant with eclectic decor with some amazing soufflé to devour. Took 2 teens n a 10 year old and they all enjoyed it thoroughly. Ask for violet on your dessert soufflé. These are edible purple flowers from france that they add it to desserts n taste like hard candy when mixed. Salads n sundried soufflé was a win along with marshmallow soup. Definitely a place visiting again.

Souflees extradinaire!!

Right in the heart of Dallas is this fabulous restaurant whose ambiance makes one feel like he/she has stepped right into a quaint French restaurant! The decor is decidedly French countryside [including the bathrooms!]. The food and service is great. Go there with a close friend and relax!!

If Nothing Else; Dessert

The smells, the decor, the great service, the time waiting on something special, it's all worthy so just be patient. For sure, save room to share a chocolate soufflé.

Good again

Went to Rise with a couple of friends after about 3 years of not going, this time arrived early and sat in the terrace. Food was very good and service was also very friendly I ordered the mushroom soufflé and it was very delicious,we shared a blueberry soufflé for dessert and it was very delicious The only reason I do not give them an excellent rating is because it’s almost impossible to get a table without a long wait, no reservations accepted, arrive by 5 pm and you can get a table without much pain

Always the best! Hope you keep the corn and Serrano soufflé on the menu - sad to not get it at FtW. Service is always wonderful

Felt rushed

We waited a very long time to be seated. Once we were seated we felt that the waiter tried to rush us.

Audrey would be proud...

When I was a child watching Audrey Hepburn in “Sabrina,” I imagined there was nothing better than a soufflé, fresh from the oven. Later, I attended cooking school and enjoyed the challenge of creating one myself. What a delight to find a chocolate soufflé in Dallas that tastes more like Paris than Paris. A unique little treat. (And the Chardonnay Apricot iced tea is excellent.)

Amazing desserts
