By Chuck |

The Ritz Diner, excellent food, friendly service, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The employees are a microcosm of" America ". Denisa, A young Albanian hostess, graciously escorts clients to their table, and assures prompt service. The owner and working manager, Huseyin, adeptly directs the workflow. The employees are of varying ethnic origins African, Greek, Mexican, Italian, German, Irish, French etc., working harmoniously to prepare and serve this delicious food. " The Ritz Diner ", a mosaic of cultural diversity, Making America Great , and Food Delicious Again"!! Come join me, you wont be sorry. Charles R

Great meal

By Philadelphia C |

We frequent the Ritz Diner and last night my dinner was the best. I had chicken cutlet and instead of vegetables I ordered pasta. I wanted oil, garlic, crushed red peppers and crushed anchovies. It was like eating a gourmet meal. It was the best I ever had at the diner. Kudos to the chef. Lois Yampolsky

Fox News has got to go!

By Margie |

We invited out-of-town guests to the Ritz Diner. We were disappointed to discover Fox News available all around the restaurant. I'm not asking that MSNBC or CNN be shown. But please do not subject us all to Fox News. I was embarrassed about that. Can you consider something that is acceptable to everyone? Just a local TV station? I'm not saying I'll never be back, but if this doesn't change I'll have to look elsewhere. A meal is more than just a meal, it has to do with the overall environment. Fox News does not contribute to a healthy, inclusive environment.

Great food and great service

By Philadelphia C |

The food is amazing. I go to the Ritz very often. Sometimes I order off of the menu and asked if they can make something different. They always do. One night I had angel hair pasta, tomato, feta cheese, and crab meat with butter and garlic and it was amazing. It was like eating in a five star restaurant. The staff is number one in my book, always pleasant and friendly. It feels like family. You are definitely guaranteed to take food home and enjoy it the next day. Lois Yampolsky

During the Covid19 pandemic dinning

By Joe A |

During the Covid19 pandemic we order pick up from RITZ dinner. Plenty of food So much we’ll have dinner tomorrow. Not only large quantity but still the normal great quality as when you were able to sit Inside and eat dinner. Same prices no gouging. We had chicken parm and eggplant parm. We’ll be ordering again. Maybe we’ll try breakfast

Punishment for returning a nasty plate of food

By Vixenette |

Reviewing this restaurant as I am sitting here, right after the restaurant manager outright REFUSED to give me what I ordered! I am a frequent visitor here…usually order the special TRIO which comes with a 12oz ribeye steak, a stuffed shrimp, and a stuffed mushroom. Today, I decided to try something different…the steak and shrimp scampi, which comes with a strip steak. Upon arrival, the so-called scampi sauce was watery like a thin chicken soup, and had a weird taste, not the garlic and butter that scampi sauce is usually made of! I sent it back and requested my normal TRIO which, as I mentioned above, comes with the 12 oz ribeye. Instead, they just took the strip steak off of the previous meal, and put it on my NEW plate! When I brought it to the manager’s (name Dana) attention, she told me that they WOULD NOT give me the appropriate steak that came with the meal because I had sent the first NASTY food back! What kind of customer service is this? Be careful people! God forbid if you, as a customer, have a problem with a meal! You will be punished! Just keep that in mind before you visit this restaurant!

Good diner food with good service, nice atmosphere

By ladyright |

We have been looking for new places for lunch along Roosevelt Blvd and we're happy to discover the Ritz Diner. It opened about four months ago and we really liked the decor and atmosphere. The food was very good, especially the banana pancakes, and our server was attentive. The menu is typical diner food so you can get almost anything you want. The only downside is that there is not much parking available in their lot but someone from the restaurant was helping people find space. The management told me that they are working on Improving the parking.

EARLY BIRD DINNER

By JoanG806 |

Saturday night went for early bird dinner it included entree, soup, salad and one coffee, tea or soda. The prices were $8.99 and above, food was served all at once and hot. The six of us all enjoyed our meals. A great deal, it was nice to go out to dinner and enjoy. The decor is very up to date, open and not noisy at all.

Fantastic, this place is hard to beat

The service is Super, the staff are all very helpful, The always fresh salad bar is the best, We're there every other weekend and I get their Chicken Fronshez (Spelling) My wife loves their Crab Cakes --- You will need a doggie bag because they do not skimp on their portions --- Our favorite waitress is Cortney ---

Rudey tootie freshy mouthy

By JayJay |

My mom and friends, all over age 75, went here for lunch. The food was ok but the customer service was non-existent. The General Manager YELLED at them because he thought they were trying to sneak food from the salad bar. My mother held her own, but it was unacceptable that she was put into that position so I called and spoke to the owner who went on and on about how everyone steals from the salad bar and they have to stop it. I spoke with him for over 15 mins and no matter how many times I asked if he could tell me why I should come back to the restaurant he never responded the way I would have hoped. So, if you want food that's fine and atrocious customer service then this is the place for you.

Good food, good prices, good service

By LoveToTravelWhenICan |

We happened upon this diner and were so glad we did. Our food was plentiful and delicious. The environment is nice—pretty walls, etc. Every spot in the parking lot was taken, but there was room for more people to eat. The Ritz needs a bigger lot!

Horrible birthday breakfast

By Kim S |

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ESPECIALLY IF GETTING DELIVERY!! Food had no flavor at all!! I ordered 2 large juices only got half a cup in each. How do you charge someone $4 for a half a cup of juice? Called and ask for a manager and was lied to. First they said one second manager then they claimed he wasn't wasn't there because he was out front. Then they continued to give me the run around not trying to fix my food. I will NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!!!! Just a waste of time and money. I can't even eat the food, too dry and nasty smdh.

Good food

By Mike K |

The food is typical diner fare. They have earl bird and senior menus. All come with either soup or salad some come with both. They give you plenty of food. Chicken croquets are large and pretty good. Steaks and prime rib are cooked on the flattop and are fair. The owners are the same from Comly and Roosevelt blvd which closed about 6-7 years ago.

Good diner - good prices

By degrawm |

This diner used to be an old WAWA and they are open 24 hours. Every time we drive past the restaurant they are packed. We stopped by around 7:30 the crowd was down, apparently they get very busy around the early bird special. Waitress's were fun and very helpful. I opted for the chicken marsala and my husband the chicken alfredo. He wanted the salad bar and I got chicken soup which was very good. Salad bar was good as well. The entrée portions were huge! Food was great. Definitely will be back. Would like to try them for breakfast.

Been here before but it’s been a while. On way home from working at cousins house. Adequate parking. Place is clean and bright with courteous staff. Wife had gyro and I had liver and onions cooked Mediterranean style, olive oil and lemon juice. Both were tasty. Came with good chicken soup. We’re able to bring some home.

A Lot of Food for the Price

By ggabe |

We stopped here after a day-long medical appt.- on one of the main drags through Phila. (Roosevelt Blvd). The service is attentive, the portions are large, the salad bar is appealing and very good, and the prices are very reasonable. We stopped the next time we were in the area just for dessert. The online menu is not complete so don't let it fool you. There menu offers enough options to please any appetite.

New place. Mixed review.

By Carol W |

My girlfriend and I went here out of curiosity, looking for new places to try. Forget the parking lot; i didn't even try. There's no way they can fix that because there's just nowhere to expand. That's ok, except maybe in the rain or snow. I think we were there around 4 p.m. I wanted my typical diner order, french toast and bacon. It was actually very good. I have been going to Tiffany's for many years (and the Dining Car before that) and they started to skimp. So, we were excited to try this place. We had no problem with the staff, as others have mentioned. Wasn't crowded so got seated right away. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. My friend got a meal so she got the salad bar, which was sufficient. The rolls were terrible...soggy from the steam in the container they were in. I asked for a roll...because they have the kind they have at Dining Car, with cinnamon. It was extremely dry. I honestly forget what what my friend ordered but recall that it was ok. People need to understand that, generally speaking, there are just certain things you should not order in a diner. I think each diner has its good and bad items. I will definitely go back for the french toast and bacon and looking at other reviews, I'll most likely try the pancakes. I saw some comments about no soda refills. That would definitely steer me away at a time when I would be drinking soda because I drink a lot of soda at a sitting and I always ask for extra ice. I don't eat out often but I have never encountered not being able to get free refills. (Even Chick-fil-A gives free refills!)

The parking can be challenging but the food is great. The service is good and the place is clean. Big dinner feel in a cozy atmosphere.I like that it's open all day as well.

Enormous portions of fresh food

By lawrence l |

I had the turkey with stuffing and spaghetti. My date had the broiled grouper. They have a fresh large salad bar included . My turkey was outstanding and my date had an enormous portion of broiled grouper which she told me tasted like fresh flounder and an enormous baked potato. She could only finish half of her meal . However the side portion of spaghetti I did not like. They also have a discount for seniors for many dinners
