Do you ever realize you've slipped into mediocrity after doing the same thing over and over for too long? No, I'm not talking about the Atlanta Braves, I'm talking about Roasters. I'm here to tell you the glory days are gone. I got the combo plate, a choice of two meats with two sides for $12.99. The thought of succulent ribs and bbq pork had me drooling like a teething baby. But, what arrived failed to deliver what my imagination conjured up. The shredded pork bbq was sopped with a too sweet sauce, overwhelming any pork flavor. The ribs looked delicious with crispy charred edges and a fresh coating of sauce, but underneath they were dry. My friend got the rotisserie chicken. Let's just say I've seen better rotisserie chicken at Kroger after it's been sitting out all afternoon. Turnip greens were straight from the can and fried okra was the usual: frozen, pre-breaded and dropped into the fryer. Service was pretty standard, if a little robotic. All-in-all, a very average, but disappointing meal.

If you're looking for a great place to eat, that offers healthy choices, roasters is an excellent spot. They offer roasted chicken , an outstanding assortment of fresh vegetables. In addition they offer a good selection of soups salads and sandwiches. The service is always top notch without fail I always enjoy my meals at this restaurant

Food was excellent. servers were super, and I loved the ambience! Great location and the menu was awesome.

This is a fun and dependable eatery. My favorite dish is the chicken fingers and the batter on the chicken is great. They have many side dishes to choose from and they are all good. The prices are reasonable, as well. You also tend to see the same staff over the course of time, which is a good sign at a restaurant. I would not recommend this place as a date place, but for friends and family, it works wonderfully.

This is my go to when in town. I've been to each location the servers are always friendly and food is always tasty. Its a cheap eat as well...can't go wrong. Eat some chicken for me!

I have always enjoyed my meals here for the past 23 years. They offer a great selection of grilled and roasted chicken. They offer a large selection of fresh vegetables and salads Don't forget to enjoy a homemade cobbler The service is always fantastic

Chicken done right! From the Rotisserie to the Tenders they are both great. Can't get enough of the cornbread...took some to go. The salads are yummy too...and its even better that it is now located in Alpharetta, very convenient to 400...don't miss out!

We have been regulars at Roasters for many years. Their consistency is what brings us back time after time. Consistently good food, good service and good quality. The menu has great variety, but my recommendation is to stick with the chicken. They are a chicken place. The large selection of vegetables is so rare in restaurants these days. There are lots of comfortable booths and tables that can be combined for larger groups. Porch seating is available, but too close to Lenox Road for me. Beer and wine are available, but iced tea appears to be the favorite beverage. It isn't a big drinking kind of place. Very eclectic mix of customers: seniors, young urban families, same-sex couples, millinials. I highly recommend Roasters.

Very good food and very reasonably priced in an atmosphere good for date, business or family.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and each had a salad. Both were adequate but not stunning. I had a rotisserie garden salad and my colleague had a chicken finger salad. The latter is supposedly their specialty bit looked pedestrian. Nevertheless, it served the purpose and we moved on to our next meeting.

This location is very close to my condominium it is very convenient for quick diner. They serve good smoke ribs.

If you want delicious food, go to Roasters. They specialize in rottiserie chicken but their other meats are excellent as well. And their vegetables are some of the best I've ever tasted in restaurants. You will not find skimpy portions here. Affordable prices too. I love their rolls. (If you like sweet corn bread, you'll love their muffins.) I go there often and I bet you will too.

Always have great service here. Continually great food - really good place, if you can find a parking space!

This is a gold mine - love this place - great service, plus amazing rolls and cornbread to start off every meal. One of the few places where everything tastes great.

Roasters has amazing comfort food!! My initial thoughts were to return for the food but as I walked through the restaurant to leave I wanted to return for the service! Both were exceptional. I ordered Ribs, turnips and fried Okra. All of the food arrived hot and fresh. The corn bread wAs delicious. I had 2 orders! Roasters is a must to try!!!

We love to eat at Roasters. It’s fast, inexpensive and home-style food. Chicken tenders are the best I’ve ever eaten.

Just had a really good dinner at Roaster's. I had the special -- pork loin stuffed with feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes and topped with carmelized onions ($10.99)- so it's not just chicken! Lots of sides to choose from - I had sweet potatoe souffle and baby limas (a little too salty for me). My husband had 1/4 chicken, cole slaw and cinnamon apples. The service was excellent, and everyone was very friendly.

I have been eating at this location for the past 17 years and they continue to offer quality food at a reasonable price with great service. They always have a daily special, fresh soups, great rolls and cornbread, selection of chicken dishes along with entre salads. The atmosphere is lively and fun. The wait staff each have their own unique personalities. They have a small bar for those dining alone and dont want to sit at a large table or booth. They have a nice outdoor covered patio. I am confident that if you try this place once you too will become a regular customer.

always consistent- good variety- good location--wings to white chick chili- and veggies etc.- cant go wrong here

Have eaten at other Roaster's but not this one. Location not easy to access and parking is limited but that fairly typical of the Lenox area. Staff was friendly and service was reasonably prompt. Veggies were good but not especially so. Not overly impressed but wouldn't be reluctant to try again when I am in the area.

Love the food, location and service. The corn muffins are to die for, and all of the sides are delicious. The quarter dark chicken was my favorite dish. So good!

Our experience at Roasters was fun. This was a lively night at Roasters with people waiting inside. However, people were seated in a reasonable amount of time. The food was as expected. It's an easy place to go to. The waiter was very helpful. We sat in the back. I don't know if the location of our table contributed to the pervasive smell of food on me and my clothes. I had to wash everything. However, I recommend Roasters as an easy, casual, reliable dining experience.

Love the chicken fingers! The honey mustard is quite good.

We started with the chicken finger appetizer (it comes with one side item). The chicken fingers are amazing, I know that sounds silly because they are just chicken fingers, but there is something about the breading (not too heavy). The chicken fingers are nice and crispy and flavorful. The breading does not fall off when you cut the chicken fingers. I had the rotisserie chicken, i recommend the dark meat only. The white meat was a little dry with no flavor. The dark meat was good. The broccoli and cauliflower casserole was delicious and black eyed peas were good (but not great), the fried okra was good. They also bring out bread to start and it is rolls and cornbread. The rolls and cornbread were amazing. I would definitely go back to this restaurant and recommend it to others. But you need to come hungry!

I had lunch here with a couple of friends. The service was really good. I got a rotisserie chicken plate; the chicken was good and moist, and the fried okra (I asked for it to be crispy) was very good. The creamed spinach was not a big hit with me. I also got some chicken and a few sides to take home. The sides - brocolli & cauliflower in cheese sauce and the other I can't remember were just okay. One of my friends had the chicken and turkey and said the turkey was the best she's ever had. You do get a lot of food for the money, and we were not rushed while we caught up with each other. The restaurant did get rather loud, and it was a little hard to hear each other. There is plenty of parking.

This place has it figured out. Great servers - free bread to start - really fresh ingredients and quick service.

We eat take out at Roaster's about once a week. The roasted chicken is exceptional, and the southern sides are comforting with a down home flavor. Way better choice than a Cracker Barrel. All the other entree options are equally good. Sweet potato souffle is outstanding, and the corn muffins are like dessert.

I eat here once or twice a month and the food and service is consistently top notch. The rolls and cornbread you get when you sit down are delicious. They are excellent for a quick meal when you want something more than fast food. They have a good variety of fresh vegetables, and the rotisserie chicken is good. The chicken fingers are excellent.

Roasters has some of the best varieties of Americana/ Southern cooking in Atlanta! From Ribs to chicken and even meatloaf and the portions are phenominal and reasonably priced, coupled with great service and Hospitality, you can't go wrong!

I have been to Roaster's every time I visit Atlanta. I actually visited the Sandy Springs location this time. I keep coming back for the fabulous, sweet cornbread muffins. I don't eat cornbread anywhere else, except occasionally my grandmother's. The mac and cheese used to be great, but they have switched food providers, and now it's just ok. They were more than happy to switch it out for something else. The spinach dip appetizer was very good. Friendly service. Will be back for more cornbread on my next visit.

Roasters has great chicken and ribs, I have ordered lots if times for take out and always good quality. Their white chicken chille is awesome. Veggie plate is great. Hot deserts are wonderful.

We had to order out and I didn;t expect too much but I was surprised at how good their ribs and chicken were. Not fatty, and not overcooked and really flavorful. Definitely better than most I have eaten- in much fancier atmospheres!

Traveling on business and had lunch here on 5/29 with a co-worker. We both had the 1/4 chicken with the broccoli casserole and the sweet potato souffle. Chicken comes with a very tasty BBQ side sauce and the casserole was really, really good. Both meals were excellent and the service was excellent (Thanks Anthony!). Price was inexpensive, not proportional to amount and quality of the food. But the real nice part of the meal was what happened about 7 hours later. I discovered I had misplaced the Visa card I used for the lunch. Panic setting in! I called the restaurant and spoke with Brittney who went searching for my card. After five minutes or so, she came back and said they didn't have it. I told her it was the only place I had used my card so she asked where I was sitting in the restaurant and she went back once more to look. About 30 seconds later she came back and said she had it. I asked if I could pick it up in the morning and she said she would be there at 7am. I went by there at 7:30 and there she was with my card. I thanked her profusely and offered her something for her time and effort, but she quickly declined, instead THANKING me for coming in the day before. Needless to say, in this day and age, we don't see enough of this kind of effort and honesty. A big shout out to Brittney Edwards at this location for going above and beyond. Great food and better service.

The food is great, but the staff is even better. Always say "yes" to the rolls and cornbread - it's worth the carbs!

is always good. Good selection of cooked veggies. Nice outside covered dinning. Always consistently good.

My family and another family were looking for a place to eat after where we wanted to go was crowded. We passed by Roasters and decided to check it out. Very good idea. The Buckhead area of Atlanta is filled with overpriced restaurants and this is not one of them. Excellent food and outdoor dining. Four adults and four children and we were all pleased. I reccomend the meat loaf. Service was excellent. Friendly staff.

If you want delicious home-style food, try Roasters! I have travelled to Atlanta for business for the past few months and try to visit Roasters at least twice per visit. The servers are great and the food is simply delicious! You have to try the cornbread. Scrumptious! I love this place and wish there was one in my hometown.

New staff, different flavor... Just not the same. I haven't been here in a few years and wow how things gave changed. I ordered the rib and wings combo with fried green tomatoes. The food was good but the fried green tomatoes were overcooked. They used to have the BEST Arnold Palmers... After 2 tries... I gave up and settled for soda. The service was ok when it used to be the best you could get in Buckhead. I miss the old staff that was there.

Best food I’ve had in a while! Everything was so very delicious! I’d definitely recommend this spot!

We've been eating at Roasters for years for the good food, casual atmosphere and friendly service. Times have changed and so has Roasters. The "open kitchen" concept is gone and for good reason: cooking odors and noise. The wait staff appear to come and go by a revolving door. The food can still be good; but if they aren't busy the chicken can be luke warm and tough. We still go, mostly out of habit, but not sure for how long.

Love this place during the week, but also went on the weekend with the family. Really good food that comes out quickly and the service is excellent. Ask for Shane!

Stopped in while running errands. Didn't have any expectations at all - I was just hungry. Ordered the rotisserie chicken salad. It was yummy! The corn muffin was amazing. I could have eaten six of those!! Super quick and friendly service. I'm sad I didn't have time for the key lime pie but I might have to make time later this week, while I'm in town.

First time there, last time there. The menu is limited to basically fried chicken and sandwiches with a little fish mixed in. They do make things fresh on the premises which is their only plus. The "butter" was a bad substitute.

This is a great restaurant, we always stop in if we are near. Consistently great food, lots of variety on the menu and quick service. The salad with chicken and fruit on it is awesome!

Good salads with interesting toppings, try the BBQ chicken, crispy corn muffins, even some meat and three type offerings give good value. Well executed service and a nice range of menu choices along with good beer selections make this a fine place for food and fun.

I eat at Roasters every couple of months even though it is 20 miles from home. They have a wide menu, fast delivery of good food to the table, and good service once the customer has been served. The most difficult thing about Roasters is that the parking lot is always jammed so it might be necessary to make one circle around the lot to find an opening.

Have been here several times and each time consistant excellent fod and service.

Food was great and portions were huge. Very relaxed atmosphere but the location is welcoming to all. Excellent service.

I have enjoyed Roaster's for decades whether it is for a quick lunch at the counter, a leisurely lunch on the patio, or an inexpensive dinner with friends inside. The food is reliably good "comfort food". Never fancy, hardly haute cuisine, but always reliable and satisfying. The staff is wonderful, well trained, polite, attentive, accommodating. Watch for the daily specials and the Rotisserie Chicken is delicious. Not expensive, everyone can afford it and nobody has to do the dishes. I am probably there weekly if not more. If you want a waiter with a sense of humor then ask for Elvis, he is a hoot.

We ate at Roasters for the first time, on Sunday 03/17. We walked into a packed restaurant, so had high hopes. We were seated promptly & had good service from our server. ... Now to the food. My husband had a grilled chicken sandwich with green beans. The bun of the sandwich was smashed flat, & the chicken was bland. I had the meatloaf with black beans soup & creamed spinach. My sides we good, while the meatloaf was awful! I knew with my first bite that I would not be eating my meatloaf. It had zero texture, almost like a pate & tasted of BBQ sauce. Very disappointing! ... While we had season tickets to the theatre across from Roasters, we will not be eating here again. Overall, the food was not good!

I know this place is famous for its chicken meals, but I frequently visit for the fabulous cornbread and tasty fish tacos! The seating service is always prompt, the staff is always friendly. Unfortunately, the follow/up service after the meal is delivered, isn't always as prompt. This location has an outdoor seating area for groups of 2 or 4. I'll be back soon!

Took my boy's there for a quick lunch. Some problems occured. Service was slow. Instead of asking us if we wanted the delicious Corn Bread they just put a plate of rolls on the table. NP we ate the rolls. My son got the green beans. Dad these taste like they have a chemical on them. He didn't eat them. I got my favorite Cucumber Salad. Seemed a bit "off" when I got it. The cucumbers and tomatoes were freshly cut and placed on top of the salad. I ate them and they were okay. I finally got down to the salad and realized why they were freshly cut. The cucumbers in the bottom of the salad were spoiled. GROSS. I spoke to the gal at the hostess stand and told her about it. Nothing happened. I called for the Manager and told her. She cam back telling me the bad cucumbers must have been frozen. I WILL Not eat there again. They call say they are Roaster's Fresh?

Yummy roasted chicken with a variety of salsas. Fresh veggies to go with the chicken. Makes for a tasty lunch.

Whether you are looking for something healthy or fattening you can find it here. They offer a great selection of soups and salads to start. For main entrees they have fried and grilled chicken. They are known for their outstanding selection of side dishes including baked apples, black beans, French fries, turnip greens, and many others Don't forget to save room for the apple cobbler.

You wouldn't expect a spot for down home cooking in the Lenox/ Buckhead area, but here it is. The atmosphere is for families & watching sports with low lighting. The rolls & cornbread muffins before the meal were nice and sweet. I will have to say that the country fried chicken needed a little more seasoning unfortunately. Broccoli & cauliflower cheese casserole was very tasty along with the country fried steak. There were many choices & maybe I'll come back & try the highly praised chicken fingers next time.

If you are seeking a place where the locals eat this is your spot. Their soups and salads are a great way to start. They offer a good selection of rotisserie chicken dishes with fresh vegetables. The service is very good and prices are moderate. My only complaint is most of their desserts homemade. I rarely order any dessert here for that reason.

One of our favorite go to spots for a good meal and good deal. Typical we go in groups of six or more and they've always taken great care of us. Service is wonderful, they remember us no matter how long it's been in between visits. Most of the group gets their rotisserie chicken plates, they even serve it princess style; no bones or skin. Too many veggie options to mention but I've tried just about all of them and they're great Past few visits I've had the chicken fried chicken. It comes with mashed potatoes and two veggies. I love their side salad so I always get one of those as one of my veggies They bring out the best bread bowls full of hot rolls and corn muffins. Do yourself a favor and ask for the real butter and they will gladly oblige

Roasters consistently has outstanding food with excellent service. They specialize in rotisserie chicken and fresh vegetables. They always have a special of the day, special soup of the day, and vegetable of the day. I have never been disappointed in the past 20 years when I eat at roasters. I've introduced many friends and family to roasters and they too are now regulars

We guys meet here once a quarter. The service is excellent, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable. Try it!

Best rottiserie chicken in Atlanta. They also have salads, awesome chicken fingers. My favorite sides are mac n cheese, fried okra plus rolls/cornbread yummy... New location will open soon in Alpharetta...

This place has the best chicken fried chicken steak ever. The portions are just right and you get two sides. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Wait staff is very friendly. Love their corn bread and rolls!

This is the ONLY restaurant on the Atlanta area that has been consistent since I started coming here in 2003. Economy went bad and Roasters remained strong. Food portions are STILL plentiful, service STILL impeccable, food is so damn good!! When my out of town friends come to visit, coming here is a must! I will ALWAYS be a loyal customer to Roasters! Miss Theresa and the manager Jennifer were awesome sauce!!

As someone who has eaten here for more than 20 years it never disappoints. The roasted chicken, fresh vegetables and salads are always top notch. The service is always good and for any reason it's not ask for a manager as they want to know.

When I lived in Brookhaven and worked near Lenox I ate here at least 2 times a week. Now I plan trips around it.

This is the "go-to" place for me and my family - they have something that will please just about anyone. And it just "feels" like a warm, comforting place when you walk in the door: low-light (but not a cave), friendly faces, always a lot of people there (always a good sign), and the smell is wonderful. The service has consistently been excellent. As I say, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but we particularly like the white chicken chili, the chicken and rice soup, ANY of the salads, and the bar-b-que sandwich is pretty darn good too. My wife always loves the chicken finger (dinner or appetizer) and my sons love the wings. And, as everyone mentions, the rolls and (especially) corn bread muffins are deliecious. I love this place.

We have eaten here for the past 15 years and have never had a bad meal or dining experience. I was saddened to see an unfavorable rating for them on your site and can assure your readers that this was a rare occasion. We almost always stick with their namesake dishes--- Roasted Chicken. We have had salads as side dishes, as well as the greens, fried oakra, Cole slaw, sweet potatoes, etc and all are good. Also, their cornbread muffins are great. We eat at the Sandy Springs location as it is convenient to us.The staff are very nice and friendly and the manager almost always comes by and speaks to us. Dinner last night was $12 per person plus tip.

Its a bit of a pile it high place but food is tasty enough especially the ribs and baked beans. Excellent value.

Generous portions freshly made where you can see it. Cornbread and pop ups in a basket come with your entree, no problem asking for extra. I had eaten more than half of my delicious salad before remembering to take photo. Lots of Southern comfort food choices with veggie options. Casual, friendly staff and service. Moderate prices. Popular for take away. Been stopping by since 1991.

Great in restaurannt dining experience. Phone calls for pickups, servers not always up on deals. It seems might be dependent on whos working the phones at the time. Overall pleasant experience.

This place was suggested after we had gotten some good news from our banker. Very casual place with delicious food. I had the daily special chimichurri steak with creamed spinach (not a normal choice for me) and cucumber salad. Wow, that steak! Delicious. Yes to that creamed spinach and a fine cucumber, tomato salad. Husband has chicken with black eyed peas. Chicken breast was very moist and he ate all of his peas. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant, too. An excellent experience. We will return.

Took my daughter to Roaster's for her birthday. It's one of our favorites. Both of us were on a diet so we looked at those mouth-watering cornbread rolls and swooned! Yes, we gave in! The nit-picking thing about this location is that it is difficult to find an open parking space and to get in and out because of busy Lenox Road -- attributable to the restaurant's popularity and traffic in general.

This is a chain but the food was delicious. We had to ask for warm breads (corn bread and rolls) because they had brought cold ones to the table. The ribs were yummy, the brisket was moist, the quarter white meat chicken was awesome and the meatloaf was wonderful. Did I use enough adjectives? Go check them out.

I cannot say how much i LOVE this place!! I had my wedding rehearsal lunch here in August and the management, Brian E, and the staff there went ABOVE & BEYOND to accommodate my large group. They were extremely helpful and attentive which made my job as the hectic bride a bit easier that day :) The food was EXCELLENT as always and everything was prepared when we arrived, right on time, no hassles! Too bad this was a destination wedding because if I lived here, I’d probably eat here every week! I would suggest for everyone, visitors and native Georgians, to continue to support this restaurant - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! The food, service, and ambience truly represent

Roaster's, the place for good comfort food. The chicken is great and the salads are very good. If you are the mood for black bean soup this is the place. The portions are good size and you do not leave hungry. The service is always good. I go to Roaster's at least once a month. Great place for lunch or dinner.

We frequent this place often and are usually pleased. Coworkers are a mixed crowd so we like Roasters because it has a varied menu. This last visit wasnt not quite up to its usual level of excellence. Cold corn muffins. Orders not right. But we'll return again. Hopefully this was just a fluke.

This place was great! Great food, Great service, Super friendly staff. Would definitely recommend if your in town!

Try the Rotisserie chicken. Always juicy and seasoned perfectly. I always get fast attentive service here. Highly recommend!

Such a great spot for quality southern cooking! Today I had the special (black eyed peas, corn and tomato) baby limas, sliced tomatoes and Brunswick stew. The Brunswick stew was AWESOME! Dessert was apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. This restaurant consistently serves fresh and good food.

What a great restaurant! Was asked by a group of friends to join them for lunch at Roasters. Glad I went. The food was great, the sweet tea was good and the service Off the Chain!!! Give them a try if you like chicken.

I have been here many times, and this last time the food was still good. I had the chicken tenders which seemed smaller and breaded differently then the last time I had them. These were five really small tenders. Seems I got more before but haven't had the tenders in about two years. The fried green tomatoes were still superb and the fried okra even better. Crisp on the outside, and moist on the inside. Russell is a great server, you might want to ask for his section.

This is a great restaurant for a quick lunch. We were seated upon arrival. The restaurant was busy - it was lunchtime. The parking was limited. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The General Manager was very in tune with her customers. I had the 3 vegetable plate - I had the dressing no gravy, vegetable casserole and the lima beans. Everything was fresh and good. The rolls and the cornbread began the meal on a high note. My friend had the fish special with fries - she thoroughly enjoyed it. The prices are reasonable - a true Atlanta dining treasure. Will be back here to get the fresh vegetables again !

A very good place for several people getting together to have dinner, reasonable price, excellent service.

After eating at this restaurant for more than 25 years, I walked out tonight very disappointed, sad and frustrated by the fact the owner is now charging for rolls and cornbread .65 cents each. When the owner delivered my food I mentioned the negative press regarding this change, he simply turned and walked away. It saddens me as many of the regulars ate there more often during the pandemic to help him survive. Now this is the Thanks we get for helping a small business during tough times. I feel really bad for my friends who are servers as I am sure this will impact their tips. #atlantarestaurants #disappointed #roastersatlanta #poormanagement #atlanta #restaurant #localbusiness

We sat outside on a nice evening. I had the half mixed chicken dinner ($10.50). It was a large luscious juicy half chicken. I had the mashed potatoes & green beans as my sides. The corn muffins are to die for. My wife had the combo ($13.99). She had 1/4 dark meat chicken & BBQ ribs. She had a sweet potato & cucumber salad as her sides. She loved the ribs but had to take the chicken home because it was too much food for her. Our friend had the fruit medley salad ($11.50). She loved it with the Poppi seed dressing. The service was suburb. Our server Kenneth was great. This was a perfect 5 star meal.

The restaurant was wonderful. All the food was very good. The ambience was warm and inviting. Will definitely eat there again

Always excellent roasted chicken with a variety of fresh vegetables. They offer other meats as well including Turkey and Meatloaf. Their wings are very tasty as well As someone who has eaten here more than 20 years, I wish they would post their daily specials online.

We dined with a couple of grandsons and all enjoyed their meals. That's not always easy with grandkids! The food was excellent as was the service. I recommend.

In comparison to the majority of nearby restaurants, Roasters offers good Southern comfort food ad budget prices. The staff are good, service is fast, and food is family-focused. Good if you're saving money but want to eat out - entrees with sides plus one alocoholic drink each for 2 was less than $30 including tip.

I love this place and always go here to eat when in Atlanta. Friendly staff, great food choices (meaning healthy choices too)! I would recommend to anyone visiting or passing through!

This is my to go place when I want good home style cooked ribs or chicken. I had the 1/2 chicken with green beans & mashed potatoes ($11). The complimentary corn muffins are to die for. My wife had the chicken wings & ribs combo ($13.99) with sweet potato & cucumber salad. Both our meals were delicious. Our server Malani was excellent.

On Labor Day weekend, our family at her for lunch. We got seated outside immediately, and took our order within 5 minutes. Nice. The special of the day was the brisket sandwich. My husband ordered the special, and enjoyed his sandwich. Juicy and flavorful. Good sauce, and not too much of it. I had the brisket entree, wow! Fork tender. My daughter had the crispy chicken salad, and the my other daughter ordered the bbq chicken sandwich. Good hearty portions, and the waitress (wish I remembered her name!) was so very attentive to our table. Refilled our drinks when there were half-full. She replaced the hot bread basket. She checked in twice to see if we needed extra napkins or ketchup. I gave it 4 stars since the salad had too much cucumber and croutons and not enough chicken. Not a deal breaker, though.

We stopped here for dinner. I had the 1/2 chicken ($10.50), which included 2 sides. It was juicy & delicious & reasonably priced. The corn muffins are amazing. My wife had the combo of ribs & wings ($13.99), also with 2 sides. The service was excellent. Our server was Ariana & she was great.

We stumbled across this place and were so pleased we wanted to come back again. Cute little place, reasonably priced, excellent service, super friendly, helpful staff and the food!! My daughter and I had never been down south so we wanted to try everything. So we ordered a half chicken dinner and about 8 sides. Everything was delicious. Fried green tomatoes, turnip greens, broccoli and cauliflower casserole, mac and cheese, everything was awesome! We ordered some of these things at a different restaurant later in the trip and they just couldn't compare to the flavors here. The greens especially had a really outstanding flavor. Loved this place.

Nice and cheap food! ever in Atlanta. The place was good enough for me to spend my time with girl friend! I really was happy!

Great food, prepared quickly and consistently. Great waitstaff, and free rolls and cornbread to start!

Roaster's has been in this location for years - and I had never been. I had a lunch meeting with a friend and he picked Roaster's - he is a regular. I must say, I did not have a big lunch, but I had the fried green tomatoes and they are very very good. So, good, I will go again. I also had the cucumber / tomato salad and a soup. All are fresh and very good. I noticed there are many regulars and the staff are very nice and professional. This is a great restaurant with good food and good staff. There is plenty of free parking. Go enjoy!

I've been dining here for nearly 20 years and rarely if ever had a less than stellar experience. The staff cares, the food is fresh...and good, and the value is excellent, especially when comparing to other area restaurants that charge more than double the price.

My wife and I try to go here at least once per month... the dishes and service are that good... there is a daily special which has never disappointed. ..you don't need a reservation, but there has sometimes been a wait of 10-15 minutes. this is a great local restaurant.

We eat at Roasters 2-3 times a month and it is always consistent. The chicken, veggies, and soups always make a great lunch. Every staff person is always super friendly and good at their job. Recommended highly.

I love the food here, especially the vegetables. However every time I come the wait staff acts like there is a dish shortage. Eager to take your plate even when there are a couple of bites left. I would rate the food as excellent. I have observed they are very accommodating to seniors and offer a seniors discount on Wednesday. This review is for the Sandy Springs location.

Roaster's is known for its ribs and chicken, but it also carries a large selection of sides from baked potato to steamed broccoli, so I tried a 4-side dinner. Delicious. It's strange, however, that whenever I order something like peas or baked beans, the waiter does not automatically bring a spoon simply a fork and carving knife. The corn bread and fresh rolls accompany each meal. The patio is nice for eating outside at this time of year.

We had ribs and meatloaf, fried green tomates, fries, rice. Portions are generous and very tasty. The complimentary ice tea was another nice surprise! Service was good too. I definitely recommend the place.

Went to this location after some recommendations from some friends and I am glad I decided to go. Although Is primarily a chicken restaurant I choose brisket because it's my favorite. It was cooked just right and full of flavor. Got it with a sweet potato and Mac & Cheese and both was good. They bring you out rolls and cornbread muffins when u set down and both are great but the cornbread muffins are something special. Service was great also. I do recommend and will return to roasters!!!!!

First time there and it could not have been any better; roasted chicken was perfect with great side dishes; too much food to make it to dessert. Definitely ask for the biscuits. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I met some friends and their kids for dinner a few weeks ago. It has been some time since last visited but one has not changed, the great cornbread and rolls served! LOL Our server, Chris, was fantastic given he was dealing with a large group that included kids with specific allergies. I commend him for his diligence to support us during our visit. As usual, the food was great....Spinach Dip, BBQ Chicken sandwich, Mac n Cheese and side salad. Thanks again, Chris for making sure we had a great time and enjoyed our food!

I swear sometimes I think I would be content to sit back with a basket of rolls and cornbread and the ubiquitous ESPN on at lunchtime. The chicken is the best, always tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. What really sets Roaster's apart for me is the sides. I've never touched the salt and pepper shakers, all of the food is seasoned just right and I love a place that's not afraid to properly season. Besides chicken and great sides you've got unique salads along with a great blue cheese wedge. Soups are fantastic and they make a brisket that melts in your mouth. This is a great place for a large group as they have something for everyone. I've never had their desserts as I usually same a cornbread or two for dessert!!!

If you have to try one thing, try the chicken fingers. All the food is great, the Rotisserie chicken cesar salad is also good. So many great sides to choose from, mac and cheese is wonderful, black beans and rice, collards. But the CHICKEN FINGER are to die for... did I mention the chicken fingers.

If you are looking for a good decent quality meal where the food comes out pretty quickly, this is the place for you. The food is nothing to rave about but it's good. They have quite a few sides so if you just want veggie only you can make that happen here. Servers are generally friendly. They bring out rolls and cornbread with the meal. A good choice if you want something better than fast food but don't want to spend alot of time lingering. I've eaten here too many times to count, so clearly a good choice for me which is why I gave it such a high rating.

We met my childhood friend for lunch, and she chose Roster's at Lenox. I had been there in the mid 1990's I realized when we arrived! My friend had the chicken finger salad, and the other two of us had 1/4 white meat chicken with 2 sides. We all had sugar free soft drinks. Server (guy originally from San Diego) was very attentive and friendly. Chicken breast was good side but wing was smaller than the usual proportion? Sides (mine were broccoli/cauliflower mixture and fried okra) were all good! I would possibly return if I had a vehicle to get there. Prices were good for the Atlanta area, and it did get crowded so it's a popular place. Bathroom was clean with newspaper posted next to urinal!

Been coming to this place for over 20 years. Used to eat here several times a month. Not anymore. Food quality varies from visit to visit. Not sure what to expect from the kitchen. It can be fine one time and the next visit not so good. Service lacks and the attitude has gone from eager to please to almost indifferent. Not the same place anymore.

When I used to live in the Atlanta area I frequented Roaster's in the NE side and was happy to find a location off of Lenox within a few miles of the hotel I was staying. Food is as consistent as it was years ago and Billy my server was attentive, friendly, professional and funny which made the experience perfect. Rotisserie chicken is always perfect and you get lots of choices for sides as well as their daily specials. This was just what I needed after a week in Atlanta, something familiar, good and reasonable priced with FAST FAST SERVICE..... They never disappoint, I'll be back again next trip through the area now that I know they are here....

From the first cornbread muffin to the desert, Roaster's is always good. And, the service is fast -- less than five minutes until a piping hot plate is set before you. Daily specials, good variety of side dishes, and perfectly roasted chicken or ribs are standard fare. The only problem with this place is finding a parking spot -- but one eventually opens up.
Consistently good
Have eaten here several times the past 6 months. Very consistent food quality for dine in and take out. Recommend chicken fingers, rotisserie chicken, meatloaf, broccoli casserole and sweet potatoes
