Best restaurant in the city, my lady & i had the best time. They’re very clean, food came fast nd it was delicious. Outside space is awesome.

Great food, amazing view, best service in the area! Love coming back to this place! Probably eat there 4-5 times per month, especially when it's nice out. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you have a good time and a great meal. Byob let's you bring any alcohol you like and will serve you with wine glasses or what ever you need. Great for large functions and very easy on the wallet. Also great for delivery! Can't day enough great things about this place! Thank you to the management, and keep up the great job!

Really nice place. Good food and good service. Good view on water if you are sitting outside. Minus - no liquor license.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised the food was amazing. It was a party of 18 people and when we got there the table was set and ready for us. We ordered a lot but with 18 people its expected I think the waiters were a little confused in the beginning but got it together very quickly. We ordered the liver was a little over cooked but flavored well, fried calamari perfect the combination of 7 cold sample salads and a must is the beet salad. By the time we got to dinner no one can eat but everyone still ordered a meal. To sum it up this place is a must visit I will definitely will be back, prices are good food is good can't wait to sit outside in the summer. Must visit.

My husband and I ate here in Ma. The food order was turned around quickly and presented nicely. Tasted good too and didn't break the bank. (around $20 a main and $10-15 for starters and deserts). Ambience was good too. However when it comes to service, I found it a little old fashioned in the extreme in that the waiters only seemed comfortable talking to my husband - even asking him what I would like, whilst I was sitting there. It was a little weird. Must admit that we then starting messing with him a bit and my husband started deferring everything to me in order to force him to deal with me :-) so was good from an entertainment point of view too.

We went here as a group of 14 guys for brunch and fell in love with the Turkish food , the best breakfast and lunch location in NYC

The place has a good vibe and atmosphere and decent food. The service however is one of the worst in the area. Servers are not attentive, rotate a lot, hard to get their attention, and often forget/mix orders. It’s the one thing that keeps me from going there more often.

Pros: The view. Food is decent for the most part. Staff is friendly. Cons: While friendly, the staff is highly incompetent. They are not properly trained to be servers and that was the experience we had every time we ended up there. The other big issue is the cleanliness of the dishes, glasses, and food. We sent back several glasses and wishes because they were stained and sticky. The tomatoes and cucumbers are diced early in the day so they come with dry edges. The fruit came unwashed with little feathers and dirt stuck to the grapes. Result: It's a nude place with a lot of potential but needs a lot of improvement and staff development to meet that potential.

The chicken kabobs and salmon dinners were very good. The portion sizes were good. There is an outside eating area. Great restaurant. Courteous staff.

Fodd is so so ,but the service is typical russia restaurant Had to wait 20 min till the server noticed us,then another 30 min to pay the bill

Beautiful restaurant with delicious Turk/Greco menu Both hot and cold apps with good selection of salads and entrees We felt we could have been in Greece Comfortable seating inside and out on the deck which overlooks Sheepheads Bay The violinist added to the mood Great night Made us glad we couldn't get into Limons next door

After having dinner in a noisy restaurant our group wanted desert in a quite place where we could talk. This modern, nice looking place has lounge type seating inside and regular tables in back. In warmer months there is seating out front and on back deck overlooking harbor. Large selection of Turkish desserts. Gelato, Coffee's and teas. Everyone liked what they had. My wife and I will come back for a lunch or dinner.

The restaurant is located in Sheepshead Bay, across Manhattan Beach, but it is quite far from the nearest subway station (Q line, Sheepshead Bay). So, keep that in mind. Either come in your own car, either use a cab or Uber. Otherwise, be prepared for a long walk. This is an interesting fact: in the beginning, this restaurant didn't have a liquor license. They have recently got it. We brought our own wine and they didn't complain. I went there along with my friends. Food is nice, but only that. Nothing special in my opinion. For an appetizer, we had falafel, fried calamari, and spring rolls. A bread which they have served was delicious. For the main course we had ribeye steak, burger and 2 portions of lamb kebabs. Everything was served warm, but not hot. And that is my biggest complaint about this place. Each dish wasn't hot. And it wasn't served on a warm plate. It seems like the kitchen just reheated our food. I have no other logical explanation. After all, I got my medium-well ribeye steak in 10 minutes, that's impossible! For dessert, we took napoleon, raspberry cream cake, and baklava. A big plus for the guy on violin who played some nice and friendly music. For 4 of us, it was 191$, which is a reasonable price. Service was an average. We asked several times for water (syndrome: "they look, but they don't see") and our waiter has changed several times. Some of them look completely new in this industry and they lack experience. Also, during our dinner, some guys next to us were smoking hookahs. Thumb down! RoccA is mostly local place, in my opinion, and it works much better during summer. All in all, it was an average experience. However, we gave them a good tip. And we saw that night a raccoon on a nearby dock!

I went this place accompanied friends. We were drinking and talking two or three hours. We had had Burke of wine, and took only same appetizer

Food, service and atmosphere were terrific! Desserts were off the hook. Its Byob. Highly recommend. Falafel platter was delicious. Excellent hummus. Salmon dinner was also very good. Wide variety. Also has a breakfast and brunch menu.

I’m so happy I stumbled on this place! I visited Rocca Cafe & Lounge for breakfast during a quick Brooklyn trip. Rocca happened to be close to my hotel, with a patio view of the marina on an absolutely gorgeous day, and I badly needed a decent meal. My breakfast—the eggs florentine—was the best I’d had in a very long time. I came back the following evening for dinner and again, it was stellar. I ordered the bruschetta—a simple dish, but nevertheless, utterly delicious. The baklava for dessert was even better—slightly warm, flaky but tender, and so very gooey and wonderful. The service was casual but attentive, and that patio view—so peaceful and lovely. Rocca is now my go-to cafe whenever I’m in this corner of the city, and I can’t wait to come back.

It was a wonderful Saturday and we wanted to have a nice breakfast outdoors. We came to Rocca for a brunch. We had the breakfast plate and the eggs Benedict. It was really good. The best part was the view and the weather. Good food, good service and good location.

The mediteranean food was good. The location is very nice, comfy seats, on a nice day you can sit outside. The service was very accommodating as we had a big group. Worth a try. Make sure you give a try to the specialties.

Whether you want a quick burger, a salad, a Mediterranean platter, or a full meal, this place has it all. We came to RoccA Cafe many times. If weather is pleasant , outside sitting is great - you are on the water, boats are passing nearby. Inside sitting is great also - comfortable lounge ripe soft couches are available. Interior is a fusion with a bit of Mediterranean influence. Friendly service, good food, good variety. Highly recommended.

Rocca has outdoor dining in the front of the restaurant as well as in the rear with a lovely view of Sheepshead Bay. To start off was a generous basket of bread. The hamburger with fries was cooked to perfection. Fried calamari was served with an unusual dipping sauce, and was tender with a light breading. Service was good and protocols followed. Prices comparable to restaurants in the area. The front of the restaurant has a pastry counter with excellent baklava to go. Highly recommend!

Rocca Cafe just gave us the worst experience. We took out my father in law for his birthday and they charged us $19 for pasta with butter. After we brought that up to the waiter, he refused to do anything about it after he presented us the check. We signed off on the check and he decided not to bring the slice of cake to our table for the birthday celebration. Worst service yet. Tell all your friends and family to stay away and go to better places like Opera Cafe Lounge NYC or Liman Restaurant

Food was ok. I found a hair in my salad though. Basically our experience was like other reviews here. Staff very nice but we sat in the front outdoor area and the service was abysmal. It took forever to get our food (which came before our drinks!) and then took forever to get our drinks, our check, etc. it was a nice weekend day and they were just too busy with obviously not enough waitstaff. Luckily we weren’t in a rush but we rarely saw our waitress. We also sat next to a smoking table which sucked.

Everything we ordered was really good and did not take long at all to arrive to table. Sat on patio and nice view of Marina outside However the water was a bit polluted and screwed the otherwise nice ambiance. Over all a good experience.

I visited the place with my girlfriend, and it turned out to be one of the best restaurant I’ve been to. Our server name is ENEO he pretty awesome, but every server is great they have fast service, spent less then 10min to get the order, great vibe, great dish, waterside view. That restaurant deserves every penny they get. Im definitely going back.

Been here few time with my family. Music they playing is so nice makes the atmosphere relaxing. Let's talk about the food. Alfredo chicken is delicious and also adana kebab. But my favorite is morning breakfast and tea. I don't know how they making it. But is extremely good. Servers are very friendly. Only negative side is overtime we come we have wait for 10 - 15 minutes for seat. It is always busy.

I wanted to take my daughter here since the first time I went I had a great experience. Since it was such a beautiful day today 9/5/20 this was the perfect time. The food, service and views are amazing. The bread I could eat as a main course it's so light and good. I will be going again and again.

I have been here for brunch, lunch and dinner. I have after movie desert here as well. I have not had anything that was not great. from the Pan Fried Livers to the Falafel Plate, or the wonderful Baklava. That plus the view make it a pleasant place to visit.

Fast service Friendly and smiley stuff Delicious desserts Huge portions, prefer cheesecake there Love this place , stop and sit near to canal

The place was nice. We sat at the back where you can see the boats that are parked at the marina. We saw some swans and ducks (pretty cute). We had the RoccA breakfast which is comes with omelette and a platter of cheese. It tasted delicious. The bread and jellies they give you are also to die for. It was good!

I ordered espresso cream brûlée but they brought me some sweet sludge!!!!restroom not clean ,dust everywhere

We celebrated a friends B'day here. Place has great ambience and also a beautiful view looking towards water side with parked Yachts from the outdoor patio. Service was great but most important thing which is food.... is at best Average. Things become bit worse when you realise its quite expensive as well. One can go for the view and hope that particular day better food is served.

I called to order in. When they picked up, not only was it very noisy in the background, but we were hung up on twice. I don't think they'll get a second chance as first impressions are very important.

We live in the area and go to many Turkish and seafood restaurants nearby. Competition is fierce, choices are many. Even next door there is one of the oldest and ever so popular restaurants - Liman. Yet RoccA Cafe stands strong, serving fresh and well prepared food, in a unique stylish atmosphere. Menu is well thought out - from light lunch food (wraps, pastas and such), to full meat and fish section, mixed grill platter for 4 people to share, etc. There is brunch option with breakfast menus included. In good weather you seat by the water, but even from inside you could feel you are at the waterfront due to large windows. Highly recommended!

Visited there for the first time for my coworkers baby shower. It was amazing!!! The ambiance was spectacular, the view was amazing, and service was exceptional. Last but definitely not least the food was tasty... Portions are just right and there salads are great.

I love their kumpir. It's deliciouse. The service is fast and curteouse. I'm a frequent visitor for great Turkish food.

We were there for dinner, sat out back!!! The service was impeccable and so was the food!!! Will definitely be going back there soon!!!

I am placed my order by Uber eats. The food was delivered completely cold. The bread was stale and hard like a cracker. In the fettuccine, the chicken was overcooked and burned to a black color. The falafel was also extremely overcooked — dry, hard, and tasted like paper. I honestly don’t understand how food in this condition can be sent to customers. This was an absolutely terrible experience, and I will never order from this restaurant again.

We love that Rocca Cafe is open late. We take our kids and their friends out after performances often and we usually go out late and there is no place open this late. We didn't expect the food to be that good but it is. They have a wide variety and it is all very good. We will be back.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary. We enjoyed liver, the salad and mixed grill and of course the complimentary dessert. We will be back to try something different.

This was the first time we've ever eaten in this restaurant. We chose it because we wanted to try something new. The menu was varied. I did enjoy my appetizer of phyllo rolls. What I want to mention is the excellent service. This was due to our server. He saw to our needs especially to my Mother. All in all a very nice experience.

Horrible cafe. Terrible management & staff. Most expensive cappuccino in the entire New York (including Manhattan!). Paid $9 for 1 coffee. But this would not make me upset if I would not be charged for my dinner twice! Literally twice (I am talking about two identical ~ $100 transactions). I accidentally noticed this checking my credit card's balance online, otherwise I would not know. Instead of calling them I went to talk to their management next day. Waited for their manager for 30 min (it would be easier to get to the White House I think). Their manager is a total disaster. Instead of apologizing for the mistake and fixing the problem - he looked at me like I owe him another transaction. Never ever seen something like this before. Has not solved the problem. Has not even apologized. Promised to get back to me by phone. No one called me for over one month. I had to call my credit card company to cancel the second incorrect additional transaction. Very upset about this. I recommend to avoid this place and visit OPera cafe across the street instead. You will be treated really well and you'll pay much less for a good meal and drinks over there.

I have had coffee and deserts and I have had full meals. Everything here is very good. The service is quick and waitstaff is helpful.

we ordered falafel plate '''do not order its not taste like falafel we order lamp chaps it was very good recommend .the waitress did not clean the table in time and did not change the plates ''and read the ck you can tip twice

We dined here twice while we were in the area on vacation. First for breakfast and then later for dinner. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed our table outside on the deck overlooking the bay. I had the Eggs Florentine: English muffin topped with poach eggs sauteed, fresh spinach and florentine sauce, served with a side salad. Perfect amount of food and delicious. We had a just as an enjoyable dinner later on and shared the Mixed Grill Platter: Adana kebab, chicken shish, Lamb shish and kofte with bulgur rice. We were able to bring our on bottle of wine to accompany the dinner, which is always a plus!

Nice view. After that it all went downhill. Complained to our waiter about the guy smoking a cigarette st the next table. He told us that we were in the smoking section. Though we were outside, there is no smoking allowed in NYC restaurants. Lousy service and a dry, tasteless omelet. I will not be back.

Wow! I must start saying this place is a gem. It so rare to have this type of water views in NYC. OK, the food, good portion, tasty, nice presentation. The service is friendly and fast. We finished our meal and did not feel the usual pressure that when you finish eating you have to leave. Everything was executed with taste. We will return to this place for sure.

Stopped by one day for a late breakfast/early lunch mid-morning, and they were serving both. Sit by the window for lovely water views of Sheepshead Bay. The food is very good, Mediterranean style, and service good as well. We lingered quite a while, and were not rushed. There is a dessert counter offering a large selection of sweets to go, although I found those prices to be high. Cappuccino was excellent, prices reasonable. Parking is on the street.

We decided to give this neighborhood spot a try, so had a family dinner there last week. First off, they have no liquor license, so bring your own wine if you are one of those folks who enjoys a good glass with dinner. They do not show this on their website....big mistake in my opinion and definite letdown. The hostess showed no emotion or offered no apology....simply shrugged us off. The view is lovely and service good, but the food was average. Our baba ganoush was lumpy, lacked that wonderful smoky flavor it should have and the kibble ball was way too salty. Main courses were acceptable, but nothing special. We will not return

This is my second time visiting Rocca Cafe and I really enjoy the modern atmosphere of the place and the way the tables are set up with a view of the bay. The menu isn't overwhelmingly long or complicated but they have quite a few choices depending on what you're in the mood for. The dessert menu is quite varied and offers many choices. I would suggest this place for anyone looking for a mix of American and Mediterranean food choices.

We visited this place twice within a two week period, ones with the whole family and another time just me, my wife and our friends (couple). Both times we had a great time and were sitting next to the water, which was amazing in terms of the view and the freshness of the air. The food was delicious, personnel very polite, quick and pro-active, prices are decent. I recommend this place very much!

All good, we eat great. Food is well presented and fast serviced. Staff is the weak point, poor attitude and miss a smile. Covered that point it would deserve a 5 star.

From the moment I entered the restaurant I felt uneasy from the way the host looked at me and my wife up and down til the moment she sat us down and then as I turned my head slightly I noticed her whispering something to the waiter and them smiling but still I said let me try the food and my make up for the unwelcoming approach but was I ever so wrong. If I went to the dinner I would have got better tasting food for 1/4 the price and still it was very difficult to talk to the staff as there English was very poor I understand it’s a Turkish restaurant but still having staff that can communicate with people who can’t speak the Turkish language would be a plus and the only thing that saved the day was the hookah which was decent but way way over priced. Overall I just had such bad experience with this Turkish restaurant and I don’t think I could step foot in any other Turkish restaurant in the future. FYI any restaurant that puts in the tips automatically you know your not going to get the right service and food.

Excellent service place is large and airy with an outside dining area right off the bay. Very courteous and serviceable staff. Service was rather quick and on point. The fried liver chunks were so very tasty and moist. The quinoa/avocado salad was perfectly cooked and delicious. The special “Rocco House Salad was chock full of goodness including beets walnuts and arugula. The babaganoush was prepared slightly different from what I’m used to enjoying but still tasty chunks of roasted eggplant in a perfectly seasoned dressing. The finally was the deliciously sweet desert Kadayif I’ll return with a special person or family member

Had the falafel which I waited so long for. I went home so sick after I ate here . Never again will I eat here. Service was bad. The waiters we’re having fun with each other while at work. Also make sure you check the bill. They try to jip you.

Great place on the waterfront. Awesome deck when the weather permits. Good service with abundant servers. The food comes hot and cooked perfect in style. There are plenty of delicious starters to choose. Stay away from desert plates, instead enjoy the Turkish deserts elsewhere. Beware of water bottles, the small bottles cost $5 each. Ask if you can substitute with tab water!

i went there with family of 6 and had amazing service but even more important food was delicious. i highly recommend trying this location , Turkish kitchen.
Tasty and fresh
Went here today for the first time. I was early for a job audit in the area so my client recommended we go to lunch. I must say the food was amazing and fresh. I had the calamari (yummy) and the chicken chops. Everything was fresh and well presented. The bread for the table was very good as well. I don't live close by but I will be sure to make the trip to eat here again. I will bring family this time. The staff was great as well. They were very attentive making sure the table was clean after we were finished with a meal and that my cup was kept full with water. Deserving of 5 stars.
