Nice Burger Restaurant

By Mike60984 |

I was fortunate to visit this new burger restaurant for lunch last weekend while I visited the nearby GRB. Parking was easy to find as the complex that the restaurant is located in (East Village) has a dedicated free parking lot across the street. If that is full, there is street parking available too. The interior has plenty of seating. There is a section that they call The Pen that has booths and 4 seat tables. Another part of the restaurant has 3 long high top tables that seat about 16 people each along with a few 4 seat tables. Then there is a bar area with stools. Finally, they have a large and very nice outdoor area that I didn't visit due to the heat but looked like a nice place to chill if the weather cooperates. While you seat yourself this is a table service restaurant. Menus are on the tables and I ordered the Nanny Goat burger with hand punched fries and a iced tea. That particular burger costs $9 and has goat cheese on it. I also asked if the onions could be grilled and was told yes and at no charge :). Most of the burgers are in the $9-10 range. While waiting, I discovered they have free WiFi. The food arrived about 15 minutes later (see picture). The Angus beef 1/2 lb. patty is ground in house and was very good. If you like goat cheese on your burger you will like it here. Overall this burger was very good however the bun did not hold up to the end. Too much juice in the patty caused it to be a messy finish. Their fries are very good too. I like it when a burger place not only serves good burgers but also care to put effort in their fries. I enjoyed this meal and also received very good table service. With tax my meal was $16 before the tip. So basically it was a $20 (after tip) lunch with a soft drink.

Pre game burger!

By Shawn A |

Love this place. Perfect place to go grab a burger before Astros game. Been here several times day and evening and it does not disappoint. Fries are amazing! You could go a dozen times and never repeat your burger order. Unique menu!

Great Burger Place

By Rudy G |

The burgers are real good , what I like the best is that they buy the meat local in our Houston aerae , the location is in downtown , burgers are real tasty, have real cool names for the burger is great place to eat .

Five Guys plus Tequila

By Al W |

So, if you like Five Guys Burgers, but want something extra, this is the place to be. Tons of burger options with fires fried in peanut oil. Lots of beverage options and desserts as well. Additionally, there is outside dining. Only detractor is the parking; going to cost you to park legally, but the burgers (and the decor) are worth it.

Great food and drinks

By 116Burch |

Had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed the place very much, has an industrial, warehouse kinda vibe. They renovated an old building and keep some of the old decor. Has a diner type feel with the open kitchen and bar area. Staff was very friendly and beer/cocktail selection was great. Local craft beer on tap and specialty cocktail menu. The food was excellent as well, had a chorizo beef burger with fried egg and pico de gallo. Large outdoor seating area and lots of tables inside. Street parking is all that's offered, was not a problem parking. Look forward to our next visit and trying some new burgers.

Good Food in a Cool Old Warehouse

By LSUGoose |

Great beer selection and burgers in sort of a hippie atmosphere. Loved the drip art on the old warehouse door. Food was good, as was service.

Great Spot!

By Sydster13 |

This place is located in downtown Houston. It has a great atmosphere to hang out and get a bite with good company. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. A bit of an open concept very casual. I had the Marvin Zindler burger which was good. The pickle chutney was way too spicy for me. Lots of burgers to pick from and same with beers. Reasonably priced can expect to spend 15-20 per person burgers range $10-12. I got a cookies n cream shake. Sadly I wasn't impressed. It was made with cookies n cream ice cream so the oreos were not crunchy. There was also a little too much of a chocolate flavor instead of vanilla with oreo. Everyone is different. They do have TVs I would suggest bigger TVs or moving them so that building structures aren't blocking the view. Parking is kinda funky. There are $5 lots nearby in case their lot across the street is full. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Glad to see a location in Houston

By tazman1099 |

Have been to the Rodeo Goat in Austin, and glad we have one in Houston now. Burgers are great! We had a Marvin Zindler and Ranch House, both were excellent and about $10 each. Goat chips are also an excellent choice, two can share an order. Great place to grab some food and a drink before a Dynamo or Astros game.

Great Atmosphere, Amazing Food

By Maranda D |

I ordered the Sugar Burger and it was delicious! The blend of the sweet and savory was perfect. My entire family went for lunch and we all sat down quickly. The adult beverage selection is great. Love that there are local brews on tap.

Don’t Park at Lot Across Street

By momarc74 |

Do not use the pay lot across the street. They will boot your car, make you wait, and still shake you down for money even after you show your receipt and they agree you’ve legitimately paid for parking. Other than that, the restaurant was great.

Nice Place Poor Execution

By Allan P |

So we looked online and thought..this place looks interesting. Evenings do not appear to be very busy. We placed our orders. Asked if it were possible to make some minor modifications. Leave off peppers from Chili. No bacon on burger. They assured us this was all easy. When the food arrived....presented by someone other than our server...in an empty facility..two out of three orders were incorrect. I call that a swing and a miss. Peppers on Chili...Bacon on burger.. We picked the items off what was otherwise "decent" food...but alas, we will not return. Just not that good to have two out of three items incorrect. I wish them well.

Really Great Burgers

By Coralyn G |

First, I am not a big red meat eater. But sometimes, you just want a burger. And Rodeo Goat is a great option for this hankering. The burgers are juicy and flavorful and have a great selection of toppings. If you don't want red meat, then go for the chicken burger -- still good but not as juicy. The fries are hand cut and crispy -- the only way to eat them, in my view. And if you are in the mood for a shake then go for it. The chocolate mint shake was my favorite.

Best Burger I’ve ever had!

By Jo Mueller |

I am serious! As European, I am not a burger person. But these burgers are the best, I’ve ever had in my life. Excellent service was well. Love this place!

Awesome place!

By Jedisan D |

By Edward_Lawton |

This place was recommended!!! And I can’t believe I fly out tomorrow and only just found it !!!! What an amazing place, fantastic vibes and friendly staff !! I ordered the Royale Burger and honestly was the best food I’ve had in Houston !! The burger was cooked to perfection the dressing was superb !!!Do not pass this place by !!! It’s the bomb !! Special thank you to my server Elena who did her best to understand my English accent ! God bless her I will recommend this place without any doubt and twice on a Sunday

One of the best burgers I have ever eaten!

By Dewayne P |

The title says it all! I stumbled across this by accident but so glad I did. The burger was decent sized so I didn't even need fries, but had to get them anyway. The prices are reasonable. The server was very attentive and the manager even walked around talking to patrons - I like to see that. I don't know much about parking as I took an Uber to the nearby Beatles Statues and walked the short distance.

Delicious food, fun atmosphere

By Aundreeuh |

Delicious burgers. Fun, casual, cool atmosphere. Great service. Indoor seating is lively. Outdoor seating is more chill. Within walking distance to a few breweries (check out 8th Wonder) and several other fun, funky restaurants (like Truck Yard). If you're hopping around Eado this is definitely worth a stop.

Great Burgers

By tleeEvans |

Stopped in for lunch. Sat on the patio, love the location to stadiums and brewery's. I ordered the turkey burger and my husband got the Irish Whiskey burger. We also go a order of fries. Both burgers were excellent and the fries were hand cut, and cooked to a nice crispy texture. Good variety of beer. Very fun environment , wait staff very attentive. Close parking lot, perfect for game days, as you can walk to a couple of the stadium after eating at the restaurant.

Edo is getting good!

By Codius66 |

Upon a family trip to East Downtown Houston, we visited Rodeo Goat for dinner. Brest burgers with fresh buttery buns and 25 burgers to choose from. From sweet to spicy, they have it all. Cheese fries surprise is enough for 4 to split. Great service and lively atmosphere!

Lunch

Great burgers. Large amount of fries. Clean. Fast service. Had the Mexican burger. Chorizo and beef combo fabulous

Best burger

By Andreea O |

Great find in downtown Houston. If you’re going to have a burger why not have a great burger. I had The Bodacious! It was one of the best burgers I’ve had.

Awesome!

By J W |

Unique and tasty food!! The whiskey burger was very good!! We all shared goat chips which were also amazing! It’s a unique setting and even has a neighbor kitty who visits outside, but is polite enough to not bother customers😂.

Best burger we’ve had in Houston

By gilleygil |

Great food, good vibes and pet friendly. We went on a recommendation from someone we met at TIRR. And believe me he was right, the burger was the bomb. And the loaded fries were too. We enjoyed the outside patio area, a lot of good people and great service.

Pleasantly Surprised!!

By Jane L |

Oh my, I had the Ranch Burger and it was excellent! I would definitely recommend eating here!! If we were here for dinner, I would have tried one of the specialty beers. They have a big selection!

Perfect

By trannymanny |

This place is absolutely perfect if you like burgers, craft ale and a great atmosphere. There is a wide selection of burgers, the one the the Carolina Reaper chillis is a bit urgent but delicious. I cannot recommend enough the cheese loaded fries with the surprise. Absolutely delicious.

Nice burgers & extensive menu of craft beer on draft

By YY_Xie |

The Luv Ya Blue burger (house-ground beef patty, bleu cheese slaw, caramelised onions, bleu cheese crumbles, garlic-herb mayo) was juicy and flavourful. They also had an extensive menu of craft beer on draft. I tried the Equal Parts Entropic IPA, and it was great.

Good burgers for a good price

By Kelley B |

Good burgers for a good price. Yummy fries. Try the Pumpkin Spice Goat Balls! good Sangria Margarita The area is a bit rough but not unsafe.

Delicious turkey burgers!

By Dynamo41 |

I visited the Downtown Dallas location, and I was shocked to learn that this restaurant exists in Houston! It’s near Minute Maid Park. There is free parking across the street from the restaurant except when there’s a game. Fee is 5$. This location is much smaller than the one in Dallas. The seating is largely long community tables. We were there during the soccer finals and it was pretty loud, so conversation was difficult. Our water was delightful! He was very attentive and easy going. He refilled our drinks without us asking. We both ordered the turkey burgers. They were delicious and they come on a whole wheat bun! I ordered mine without any cheese or condiments, just lettuce and tomatoes. Another thing I like is that the sandwich is not a huge two-fisted monstrosity. You can eat it with fries and not feel uncomfortable. It’s on the smaller side which is a huge plus in my book. I ordered the sweet potato fries. They are very good and shareable for a table. My friend ordered the chips and she raved about them. I love Rodeo Goat! Can’t wait to go back!

Burgers are all over cooked

By Nav1go |

This is not a place that allows you to order your burger medium rare - which to me really cuts down on the experience. Lots of choices for toppings and combinations - many spicy. The loaded fries were ok. Not sure I would recommend.

Great spot for a craft brew and burger!

By Connie D |

We went to rodeo goat on Sunday afternoon and it was a great experience. The outdoor seating is covered and welcomes dogs. They even gave each dog its own water bowl. Lots of people were there just enjoying a Sunday afternoon. They have a good selection of Texas craft brews on draft. The burgers are creative and delicious. We had the river oaks cc. burger and the whiskey burger. The homemade goat chips and fries were both fantastic and we even managed to share a salted caramel milkshake for dessert. Food and service were terrific. We will definitely go back!

Best burger in Houston!

By dekiwacka |

Spent the other weekend in Houston for work and we were craving a burger in walking distance to the convention center. Enter Rodeo Goat! Amazing burgers! Simply amazing! If we were there for another day we would have gone back. Cool place, great burgers, killer house made chips and a great beer selection.

Smell Brought Us In

By GayleP866 |

My husband was excited to try this place. He enjoyed the smell of the food. We both order the original burger with fries. My was over cooked (sent back & it was better when brought out). My husbands was over cooked too but he ate it. He was disappointed because he felt there was no flavor to the food. Disappointing not sure if we will give a 2nd. chance?

Rodeo Good

By FOILsurfboards |

Decent food with a reasonable price. Buyers were just a bit greasy for me, but still good. Staff was great and attentive. A la cart for fries with the burgers but seemed to get a lot of the price, was enough fries for two to split.

Fantastic service and food!

By ZiZi A |

Jordan thanks for taking care of us. On the 2nd visit you even remembered that I drank sweet tea and brought it 1st thing. The food was fantastic! Will go to the one in Houston! Jordan is the best server! Had a great sense of humor and was very attentive.

Unique and tasty burgers

By dougdell |

Of course, a place with a name like "Rodeo Goat" is going to be different. They have a GREAT selection of unique burgers with names like Nanny Goat, Mother Blues, and Chaca Oaxaca. You expect to find ingredients like jalapeno bacon, kalamata olive tapenade, and capers at a high-end, hoity-toity restaurant, but the atmosphere here at Rodeo Goat is very comfortable and down-to-earth. The sides are great - fries are definitely not mass-produced, and if you're feeling adventuresome, order the steaming pile - you won't be disappointed. The burgers don't come with fries automatically, so be sure to check the sides area of the menu and order accordingly. This restaurant is my favorite go-to after an Astros game, but if I'm in the area it's nice to stop in any time. And it's a great place to take out-of-town guests for something different. Check it out!

Our "go to " take out place when local brewery doesn't offer food.Spectacular Burgers!

By trymahjong |

There is nothing wrong with sitting inside this great restaurant, choosing a spectacular burger, having a great craft beer and enjoying th experience. However, some of us are drawn to the - mythos of the craft brewery experience. If you've gone to True Anomaly Brewery- you will understand what I mean. My families secret is this....order online at Rodeo Goat- Chaca Oaxaca ( the chorizo zooms up the taste) and a Sugar Burger ( Yes those grilled peaches and jalapeño jam will make tour tastebuds zing,) plus Goat chips ( the sprinkle spice is addictive) all bagged up and walked across the street to be enjoyed at the mythology that all fresh craft breweries have.

Great local hangout in EADO

By Terri G |

We really like this restaurant and have made it one of our new local favorites. They have an excellent choice of burgers. You can get a typical beef burger if you want one but there are many gourmet options as well .including the ability to switch out for turkey or chicken. I love the salmon burger. Their fries are excellent and the service is consistently excellent.

Local favirite

By Terri G |

We live in EADO so we go here quite often. It’s a great hamburger restaurant with some great options for non-meat eaters. There are tons of different options. The fries are excellent. The staff is always great. It’s in a fun location.

Best burger in town!

By Francesco C |

Guys if you wish to have a burger! That’s the best burger in town! Service it’s absolutely amazing! Travis the first time and Vinnie the second time have made our experience superb! Come here well hungry and you won’t be disappointed!!!

Surprised/Not Surprised

By Tobias H |

That little corner that Rodeo Goat sits on is surrounded by places to eat. Next door is Truckstop which is fun, but limited. Across the street is Vinny's which is delicious and completely worth it. But this was my first time at Rodeo Goat. Now, I am not the demographic that this place would generally serve. Its trendy, its hip and its perfect for that Draft House Beer, pseudo professional, former Brossef type vibe. HOWEVER, everyone there was chill-well, one of the server's hates his job. Anyhow, we rolled up ther 19 dep, with one drunken buffoon and two Karens, so we were concerned that there would be some attitude thrown our way, but that wasn't the case. Our Waitress, who's name escapes me, was awesome and on top of it. It's nothing more than a fancy burger joint, but its damn tasty. I'd go back, even though its not my type of place.

This place won't get your goat

By 110edwardb |

Went after a seeing a musical at the Hobby center. We almost gave up due to much street reconstruction in the area and piles of water and sewer pipe. We found a free parking place next to the restaurant and went in. This mostly a burger place, but you can get any burger with turkey, chicken or veggie patty if you don't like beef. We are carnivorous and got the beef. Both of your burgers were great. Recommend you wait until the streets get fixed. They are open late, which was good since we didin't get out of the show until after 11pm.

An Enjoyable Cheat Meal

By PayneToPlane |

I’ve been craving a burger for my cheat meal and I am so glad I chose Rodeo Goat. I ordered the Royale with Cheese Burger and it was very good. The jalapeño bacon was a bit salty but had a good flavor. My patty was not over cooked and was very juicy. Not sure why their ketchup is called “spiked ketchup” but it was not over powering, tasty and had a spicy bbq flavor. I prefer thick cut fries over shoe string, but their sweet fries were a good portion and delicious. Most of all my brioche bun was not soggy. It was sweet and nicely toasted.

Nice bar, burger and patio

By Hillrm |

The bartender was very friendly and efficient. The food was good and the whole vibe was pleasant. My burger was great and so was the bartender recommended beer. It’s kind of hidden behind the convention center but worth exploring to find.

Definitely Recommend

By Landon W |

Great Burger, great service, great vibe. Got the Whiskey Burger, Fries, and the Dutch Chocolate Shake.

Not expecting much but happily amused and pleased!

By Keyrat04 |

Arrived at 3:10 on a Saturday, just out of the blue. It wasn't crowded at all, found some easy street parking (the lot across the street charges). They have an extended burger menu, plus a great selection of beer, as well as Happy Hour (Mon-Fri). Inside one can see the cinderblock, concrete and brick construction; it must have a warehouse plus garage in its previous life. They added fans, a/c, lighting and an outdoor space, really roomy. Close to downtown, one block away from 8th Wonder Brewery. Lots of padded stools and booths, great variety of music (Frank Sinatra to country to punk. Loud but not blasting. Food/burgers have great ingredients plus a bowl of crispy french fries...Our waitress was a highly recommended gal, ask for Oshay's tables for great service!

Very good burgers

By John New |

My first visit to that place. I went there because another one I wanted to go to hold a private venue. And I wasn't disappointed! Very nice bar. Good burgers. I had a chance to eat the new one on the menu - with goat cheese and jalapenos, while my friend had a whiskey burger. Both were very good so probably whichever you choose will be tasty.

Rodeo Goat

By Anthony Nghia N |

For all travelers that stayed at the Marriott Marquis Houston, it's an easy walk (15minutes). There burgers were not bad! They can modify what you want. The staff was great, the place is clean, so I don't really have a complaint. A place must try!

Great Burger and Great location

By Frank S |

The Burger was great the service was HORRIBLE. We arrived at 6pm on a Friday before the crowd arrived and the service was still extremely slow. We sat out side on the raised level and the views were awesome. It’s houston though so it will likely be humid and hot outside but there are fans and it’s worth being there at sun set. You will have a nice skyline view of downtown.

The aroma stopped us in our tracks.

By Smiley |

In the neighborhood after visiting a local brewery when the amazing aroma if a well cooked burger hit our little group hard. As we were walking back to the hotel wanting to have some sort of divine intervention to prevent any of us from settling on a cuisine, we were unanimous in our desire to try out Rodeo Goat. We all ordered burgers, with an assortment of fried sides,. To put it mildly, it was delicious. Great atmosphere as we outside at a picnic table near the resident cat and visiting dogs, and all were happy to be under the moderately open sky. Good concept in an easy to get to location. Thanks

Something new for lunch

By Elizabeth H |

Walking in you can find your own table and the wait staff was quick to put orders in. The steaming pile as an appetizer was tater-tots and I would recommend giving it a try. I’m not a fan of large portions so my husband and I split the whiskey burger. This was enough food for us. The burger didn’t completely wow me but he enjoyed it. I would certainly go back again to try another burger.

Happy and full🙌

By DanaManchester |

Great atmosphere. Really good food. We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon service was friendly and smooth. Veggie burger was amazing. We left happy and full 😃. Thank you Rodeo Goat 👍

Fantastic Burgers

By Ora B |

I was at a convention at GRB for the week. We found Rodeo Goat one day for lunch and was glad that we did. We each had a different burger. One of the girls I was with asked for some customizations. Each burger came out perfectly. We shared the cheese fries surprise. Everything came out quickly. The burgers were inventive and delicious. We ordered the goat balls for dessert. They were not very good. They were supposed to have marscapone inside per the waitress but it tasted more like brie. I still give it 5 stars because the waitress took them back and didn't charge us and was totally chill about it. The waitstaff was pleasant. If I go back to Houston, I will definitely return to Rodeo Goat.

Not worth the wait

By PhatPatW |

This is one of those places you want to like but it falls flat. Went here on Saturday and waited 42 minutes for burgers and fries. Unbelieveable really for burgers. This place was not full and the wait was the same for those around us. Burger consistancy was also not there. Mine was dried out yet my sons was nice and juicy. The loaded fries were the best part. I also hated the seating arrangement and the. waiting 40 minutes on a backless chair wasnt the idea outcome. I know there is alot of wonderful reviews but my experiance just wasnt it. Waiter was super nice he was doing all he could while we waited for food. But I could have made my own burger and finished it in 40 minutes.

Local burger joint close to Dynamo and Dash

By MPtripletta |

Recommended spot to visit, and what a great spot. I had the Mayra, unfortunately not as spicy as I hoped. My oldest had the Rip Wheeler, he said outstanding. Good beer selection. Fries very good as well, but Ala Carte. Also had churro goat balls. Great spot before or after games.

Burgers and fries

By Amy D |

Checked out the Rodeo Goat during a recent trip to Houston. We had a large party and were sat at a long high-top table. Has a sports bar feel with lots of beers on tap. I ordered the Whisky Burger medium. The flavor combination was very good but my burger was a little over-cooked. Their fries are very good and the portions are huge. We ordered cheese fries and four of us could not finish them. Food arrived quickly after we ordered.

Great burgers, spot on. Keto friendly

By Luc Wolfarth |

I was just looking for a place to dine nearby the hotel and plop I’ve found the Rodeo Goat! Lucky shot for me but a good call for you. I am avoiding carbs and burgers are not the best option in my diet! I was doubting to ask for the burgers on the plate, but guess what?! Got it better than expected. The meat was too well done for me but my bad not to specify upfront. Still tasty though. Great surprise, great choice. Recommended

Our stop before our concert

By polihalequeen |

Neat place! Kids loved the ring toss in the dining area! Food was good and good portions! My grandson had the Steaming Pile. He didn’t like it but I know I would have! Our daughter had the Ranch House Burger end she liked it. My husband had the Telluride Burger and he liked it. The sweet homemade goat chips were absolutely delicious! I had the cheese fries surprise, it was a huge portion! To much for me! We all shared it and still went home with some! Our server was very informative but definitely wasn’t a people person. I’m not a burger person but if my family wanted to go back, I definitely would.

LOVE this PLACE

By Vicki L |

I've eaten here many times. We went recently and I had the Royale with cheese. This is a great burger. My friend had the Neil Young (vegetarian) It also looked great. The manager (Mike) is attentive and deals with the customers very well. Nice place for a good meal and a great drink. Love It

Great great burgers!

By Mr H |

Met up with some friends here for a late lunch on a Sunday. The burgers and fries were amazing! Epic food for us all including the kids. Great range of beers and margaritas too! Highly recommend!!

No goat here!

By JLopez66 |

Another great beer venue in Houston. Wide variety of IPA’s on tap. Pretty cool set up. Indoor and outdoor sitting. Very friendly staff. A must while in Houston.

Wooow goat

By GatoTremendo |

I loved this place. Comfortable, good music and great burgers. Different options than classic burger

Great Texas Chili

By Jim S. |

I was in the mood for a good bowl of Texas chili and a search came up with Rodea Goat. I guess a good bowl of Texas chili has gone out of fashion as there were surprisingly few recommendations. I was very happy that I tried Rodeo Goat's chili. It was outstanding!!!!! Thick, beefy and tasty. If you are worried that it is too spicy - it is not. Nice chili flavor, but I added some Tabasco, and it was perfect!!! They also have great burgers, and I am looking forward to coming back. Pros: Great food. Very good table service. Although the building, from the outside, is unimpressive, the interior has great industrial feel. The building was formerly a warehouse building and they kept the industrial look. In fact, one of the seating areas is down in the old truck bay. Cons: I found the actual building a bit hard to find. It is located at the corner of two streets, but the signage is easy to miss, and I went around the building a couple of times before I saw it. Rodeo Goat does not have its own parking, but there is street parking and a parking lot across the street. I paid $5 for one hour of parking in the parking lot. The street parking is also metered but may be a bit cheaper.

Gotta Love The Goat!

By JoBoxer555 |

Looking for a spot to enjoy a beautiful Texas "Winter" day (sunny and 65!) for an outdoor lunch, last Sunday, and came here at the suggestion of a family member. None of us had ever been here, and were very glad to find a very relaxing, open space, with a great outdoor patio and indoor dining space, as well. Trying to stay Keto, and RG made it easy; their version of the Cobb salad with avocado ranch dressing was very good, and a large portion. Others enjoyed their Goat Salad with black beans, corn, avocado and more, and a choice of dressing. My son got a burger that was really delicious, and gone in minutes! Our only swing and a miss was ordering the fries, which are not part of the burger meal, but one order was good sized. However, the fries were not hot , and had the texture of fries that were made earlier, and kept under lights to retain warmth. Not worth the extra money. I would surely skip these next time. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. There are drink specials on Mimosas, etc, early in the day here. They were just getting busy as we left at 12:30pm, and they had just put the Texans game on all of the screens, so this is a great place to catch a game, for a date, or getting together with friends or family. They do have a great "pit" area inside that we might book soon, for a travel friends get together. Spacious and decor with a sense of humor, plus good food and drinks

Fantastic whiskey burger

By Indira M |

I had the whisky burger and would recommend this without reservation to anyone. The place was so busy due to Mexico playing across the road Soccer and our group that was supposed to have 18 but 32 showed up so even though service was slow, our waiter managed to keep up with our entire group and brought the right food to everyone. I'm looking forward to another visit when it isn't quite so busy.

Rodeo Goat

By Ashley C |

Wow!!! The selections are phenomenal, the staff is excellent, location is fun and quirky, similar to Austin vibes. The only negative is the construction so parking sucks!!!

Great burgers!

By kwtexas |

What a great menu of really different burgers. I had Turkey burger and DH had the Marvin Zindler. Both delicious and different. Great fries and huge beer selections. Really wanted to try Thin Mint shake.....patio is fabulous!

Delicious and Nutricious

By Elisabeth B |

My first taste of this place and it will not be my last. Turkey burger and chips and queso Every bite was lovely. Unlike some large burgers the bun was hefty enough to stay together while eating. Excellent service.

Happy hamburger, happy hour

By Sanders93 |

Personally not a fan of communal seating other than at a bar, but the make-shift dividers lend to some semblance of privacy. So many burger choices and different meat options allows everyone in the group to enjoy a different burger experience at each visit. $2 mimosas all day elevated our casual Sunday meetup.

Great burger place in downtown Houston

By Ciahasher |

I went with friends after a dynamo game to this place. I wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very casual restaurant that’s good to visit before or after a sports match or a concert. Nothing fancy about the decor but it’s a new place. There is both an indoor and outdoor area for dining. We chose inside. There is really one reason to go this place and that’s for burgers. They have an extensive burger menu and they are very tasty, perhaps because the meat is purchased locally. I had the river oaks burger which is your classic burger. Their fries are pretty good too, but I recommend you try the goat chips which are flavored potato chips. Portions are big, so you can definitely share the fries between 2 or even 3 people. We also tried the goat balls for dessert. I’ll let you figure that one out but they are good. Service was a bit slow but not bad for a Saturday night. Only issue with this place is parking. If you are coming here on a weekend or while a sports event is happening, there isn’t much around. It’s not going to get better as lots of restaurants, nightclubs, etc. are opening in the area. Consider taking an Uber. Overall, I was pretty impressed with this place. Definitely one of the best places in Houston to get a burger. I’ll be back

Nice Burger Joint in EDO !!

By Amazon5 |

A great new place in EDO. My wife and I live just blocks away and stopped in recently. Nice beer garden with great burgers, good beers and wine choices. Loved the house made chips and burger choices. Keep it up. Will stop back.

2nd time bad as the first

By Neil P |

My 2nd time. Just can't get my head around this place. $15 for a fair burger and that is being kind. Soggy fries And salad was $14 for bla bla. Who tries to sell chewy brisket in texas on a salad. Just not great. Below par service all to sit on a picnic table. On the bright side it's in a cool area

Rodeo Goat

By Isidro Sada |

Excellent service and perfect hamburguer. Delicious spices and perfect cooked meat. Very cool place with a different concept.

interesting place for a burger

By Matt S |

We went with a group of friends who frequent this place. Due to limited (covid) seating we had about a 20 min wait but it was worth it. Good burgers Burgers were in the range of $10-12 not counting your fries. There seemed to be lots of seating and it was a busy place, I had the blue cheese burger, but others at our table had the hatch chili and cheese, as well as the ranch house. No one was unhappy!

One of my friends recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint. I loved the burger and the chili cheese fries with jalapenos were great! Lots of options in this area but don't overlook this one!

Memorable burgers

We were in town for a weeklong conference and found this place. Liked it so much, we had to come back before we left. This is a burger joint; if you want some other kind of entree, you should pass. They have a huge variety. Of the four we tried, all were outstanding regardless of whether they were more savory or sweet. It is hard to find a burger joint that can built a great burger with creative toppings and keep it not balanced and put together well enough it holds together. This is probably the best new (to me) burger joint we have found in at least a decade. In addition to the burgers we had an excellent appetizer and dessert. The Steaming Pile - you know it has to be good if people choose to eat something with that name. Fried potato bites, cheeses, bacon and topped with an egg. Way better than any typical burger joint side we have had. The dessert was also the the equally inappropriately named Goat Balls - cheese-filled fritters topped with powdered sugar and berry jam. A great finish. Oh, and the servers are also great. Friendly, efficient, and always working hard to make sure customers are taken care of.
