Unexpected treat!

By Tom S |

We stopped for a quick lunch before our flight, not expecting much from an airport restaurant. The food was delicious, freshly prepared grilled fish with steamed vegetables. Efficient and friendly service from Paula.

Not as good as Taco Bell

By Jwvv |

Tacos fall apart instantly - no flavor. This is food that is not very good! I will never return---- go forewarned. The hot sauce has no 'hot' and I had to use Tabasco ---- a Mexican restaurant with no hot sauce??????

Good, not great but solidly good

By momdadkidsTexas |

Our extended family ate there recently. The table salsa is fantastic, and the fish tacos are good. I don't think this place is absolutely fabulous, as my husband does, but it is solidly good, and has a friendly, tolerant atmosphere. Everyone always seems to be in a good mood.

Great Tacos

By CharlesHTX |

Great tacos in a town full of mexican resturants this one was fun and good. Long wait on a Saturday night, but a couple margaritas and some live music were as good as the people watching! Food was good and went with the waiters suggestion of carnitas tacos, he was right i reall enjoyed them.

Breakfast review....just okay

By CliveWatkins |

Stay away from the half cooked pancakes special, and stick with the basics, egg taco, or bacon and eggs. Service was pleasant but slow, and sadly it's the only breakfast place in the terminal. It's just good enough.

Their Shrimp Tacos are amazing! I could eat them everyday! Their House Margarita, and Prickly Pear (Frozen) Margarita were delicious, too!

Rude Hostess.

By Tracy A |

I'm only giving Rosario 3 stars because of the bartender, Vanessa, who was able to turn around my experience. She was exceptional and went above and beyond for me, which compared to her coworkers was great. Restaurant hours say until 8pm, I was flying out on a Thursday at 7. Perhaps the hours on here are wrong, I can understand that. However, at 632 I walk up the the host stand to get sat, and a girl walks up saying that the bar is open & I can sit at the bar but the kitchen is closed. I found this interesting, since this is literally one of the few places to have a decent meal in terminal B. I try the other restaurants to eat instead, but due to rain almost all the flights were delayed, so I turn all the food establishments were stretched thin & had long lines. At this point I give up and return for a margarita to Rosario's, it's 645. I ask to sit in the bar & she speaks Spanish to the girl next to her, who instructs her to tell me they are accepting no more people, surprise I speak Spanish. I'm irritated now. The bartender Vanessa gives me a wave and says that she's still serving, despite her bar top being entirely full. She instructs me to sit at a table near the bar & I take a seat. Later the same hostess walks up to me and tells me I have to move from that tables and if there are no seats at the bar then I can't be served. Vanessa tells the host, no she's okay, let her stay seated there. Long story short. Kitchen was closed but Vanessa still was able to get me chips and salsa & was very kind. Hottest & fellow servers were rude and would point and ask why I was there (in Spanish). I stayed, enjoyed my two margaritas & left. I fly out of San Antonio often, usually domestic, usually Southwest (which is in Terminal A) I'm thankful that Vanessa was kind & did great despite circumstances, but in the future I won't be returning, I'd rather enjoy La Gloria in terminal A.

Very pleased

By Allison S |

Didn't expect much and didn't even check out reviews prior to eating because the eating choices are quite limited in the airport. We were quite delighted with our bean and cheese nachos and our Shrimp tacos. Very tasty and filling and the price was very reasonable. Hostess and waitress were both very pleasant.

Great food!

By Melvin S |

Eight of us ate at Rosario's Restaurant near the airport. The food was so good, we all cleaned our plates. I had Grizelda's tacos and they were so full of flavor. Our waiter was great and the food came out very fast.

Airport fare

By csrockclimber |

This restaurant was on my concourse so thought I’d try it. They shared that they had some call-ins so as to be respectful to travelers who had short time frames...which was nice. I had the tilapia which was tasty, but not exceptional. Service was faster than expected. I’d consider going here again.

Overall pretty good, close to airport

By AVGTXN |

Saturday night. The chili relleno was covered in cream sauce and good. The fish tacos were fresh. Others' choices were good, but not great. Overall, the food is very standard, but the place was packed. Service was attentive despite the maddening Saturday night crowd. Parking also is tight. If in the area or had a layover, I'd maybe go here again.

Family event prompted my visit and I had read about restuarant prior to visit. It did not disappoint in any way.

By Vickie F |

Delicious food, great service and good atmosphere. Will definitely put this on my list of place to eat on my next trip to SA.

I left almost in tears...

By Mandy B |

Our waitress was very rude. It was 10:00a.m. I ordered coffee and my husband ordered a Bloody Mary. She brought my coffee but told us we had to order food before she would serve an alcoholic beverage. There was only 2 other guest In the restaurant so we were not taking up a table. We did not order food but my husband did ask for a decaf coffee she said they did not have decaf. It was obvious that she did not want to serve us unless we were eating. We paid for my $3.24 cup of coffee and left. I told the host that our waitress was very rude to us but she didn't seem to care. I guess you can act like that when you don't depend on repeating customers and you are the only restaurant in that terminal.

Ms.

By Pamela A |

Yeap. This is where I will go. There is another eating place. I chose the end of the roundabout. Glad I did. Good pour cold beverage and great food.

Mexican food

By Michael H |

It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth a trip. It's a short taxi ride or maybe a trolley run. Outstanding food and lots of Mexicans eat there so you can tell that it's good

Incredible Mexican Food

By Jhumhc |

Such a great place to relax, eat, have a nice beverage. The food may have been some of the best I've ever had, The service was so friendly, though a bit slow. They did give me an order of chips and salsa to go with my wine, while I waited..free of charge.

Excellent food off the riverwalk

By wmsc |

We wanted to escape the river walk so we sought out "the best" Mexican restaurant in town. We weren't disappointed. We found lots of vegetarian options which is important for us. My wife had a great, filling flavorful meal. My pork was cooked perfectly, nice and tender. The only gripe; no real hot sauce. They did have Tabasco which seems blasphemous. All in all we would eagerly return

Convient when delayed

By Heather |

Our flight out of San Antonio was delayed an hour and we already had to be there before noon, there are not many other option for sit down places to eat at the airport, this one is conveniently located at terminal b. Service was pretty quick, there were not many people there, we ordered simple items and they weren't bad. I can see where other reviewers were not pleased with the waitstaff as they did seem indifferent at best. Our waitress had manners but was not overly attentive and didn't ask if we needed refills.

Good service and acceptable margaritas for concourse eating

By kdk1965 |

We were seated quickly and the staff seated us in the back, per my request as a hearing impaired individual. Service was timely and appreciated, particularly as we ordered a second round of margaritas. Fajita nachos were good enough, but beef was a bit dry. Fish tacos, two to an order somewhat disappointed, but the poblano rice and avocado saved the meal.

Service was slow in Term B

By John B |

Order 2 beef enchiladas and it took nearly 30 minutes. I was not able to finish eating since I had to board my flight. Service was also slow due to being short staffed.

Rosario's at the San Antonio Airport is awesome!

By Ladyonthebeach |

A self-certified Tex-Mex afficionado, Roasario's has some of the best Tex mex I have eever eaten, and is by far, the best airport restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Speedy service, delicious tacs and salads, and very good prices!

Nice surprise

By Rvatx |

We needed something to eat before we got on the plane, and had resigned ourselves to airport food. What a nice treat to discover homemade Tex-Mex. Service was especially great!

Shrimp Tacos!

By Chere604 |

We stopped in for a bite and drink before our flight to Europe and ordered queso and and split the shrimp tacos. Both were so good, but especially the tacos, so I ordered another two to go knowing we'd be faced with terrible airplane food. We ate those on the plane, cold, and they were still delicious. We then talked about the tacos on and off throughout our trip in Europe, they were that good! I finally googled to see if they have other locations which they do and which I plan to visit the next time I'm in San Antonio. Drinks were very good too!

Great if you want poor service

By lisa s |

I arrived at the breakfast bar and sat unattended 5 minutes while six workers milled around the back talking until one finally decided to come serve the counter. She proceeded to assist three other people who arrived after me, and when I shared with her the correct order of customer arrivals she continued on to go take their orders before me. Who wants to give money for inattentive and utterly uncaring 'service' such as that?! As a local San Antonian, it's very sad to me that's how one of our home-grown restaurants tre as ts its customers. I left and got a great breakfast with friendly service 50 feet away from Starbucks. Apparently, Seattle trains its folks better than here.

Decent Tex Mex at the airport

By KC_in_NY |

For airport food, I did enjoy this place and found the prices reasonable. Ordered the ceviche appetizer and fish tacos, which I did enjoy both. For the ceviche, I thought it would have been chopped up a little finer. The fish tacos were pretty big and fell apart when I tried to eat it.

Completely rude and bad service.

By Stu |

Completely rude and bad service. Waited to sit down in a empty restaurant. After ten minutes with no one acknowledging us, we decided to grab a seat and we were finally acknowledged by a rude waitress telling us that the sign says to wait. We left!

Good for an airport

By Stephen F |

Face it most people don't come to an airport for a culinary experience. This is not one! But it is decent food, served hot and tastes good. We would eat here again waiting for a flight.

Mexican

By NickReng |

Very nice and clean atmosphere. Great Mexican food and outstanding margaritas. Fast service with great entertainment.

Must try

By raul g |

I live in Florida now but I lived in San Antonio before. The whole time I lived there I never went to Rosario’s. Now it’s a must whenever I visit San Antonio. The restaurant is beautiful. It has excellent drinks and excellent staff and service. My friend and I went and I had my usual puffy tacos. I love them; unfortunately this time they were not up to par. They were very greasy and not puffy. They came out very quickly which was great but the cook didn’t cook them right. I still ate them since I came all the way from Florida to eat them. Other than that everything is excellent

For airport food muy bueno

By MarieIC |

Stopped and had a quick bite. The flour tortillas are homemade and the guac is fresh and delicious. I ordered the steak fajita tacos and they were huge. The margarita was strong and tasty. I'll stop again if I am ever in San Antonio.

Great stop before flying

By luvmy32000 |

Great place to grab some good tex mex before flying out.... Good margaritas too. Service was kind of slow this visit....x

Fresh!

By Mike V |

Fresh ingredients with warm service gives you a great dining experience (well, for an airport anyways). Even if you're not that hungry, stop in for a pint!

Not recommended

By Lou S |

Went for a late dinner & was very disappointed! Food was just “ok”. Ambiance was terrible. Band was so loud you couldn’t talk or think. Asked to be seated away from band & ended up by kitchen, not impressed at all & wont go back. Save your $.

Very disappointed

By Jim S |

First of the waiter said they did not have a frozen margarita so he brought me a 12.95 one. Food was not outstanding. Have had better in Dallas

Great Mexican

By Cardiotron |

This is a San Antonio restaurant with other locations, if you are stuck at the airport a delicious option. They have most of the choices that the town location's menu plus some

Just tex mex

By Ben C |

It was just ok. They were out of several menu items. Margaritas were good. Very loud. A little too far to walk from river walk.

Awesome surprise

By Jerry H |

The best salsa this side of the Brazos river! (actually, I haven't visited every Mexican restaurant, but I now have a new standard). Very short menu, but what they make, they make well. Excellent soups. Fish Tacos to swoon over. Flautas, especially with that sauce that comes in a carafe for refilling the saucers for chips and for adding to your dish. The "hand mixed " margarita is similar to one I have at Pico's in Houston, and almost as good (which no one else has come close). Fun atmosphere, though so loud, my son almost made us leave (until he started scarfing the chips and salsa).

Best Bloody Mary on Earth; best restaurant at the San Antonio Airport

By BLOODYMARY4MEPLEASE |

Big, great tasting breakfast tacos! The best Bloody Mary in the state and maybe in the world. Personally, I make a great Bloody Mary; I study Bloody Mary science and have had the pleasure of trying over 300 different Bloody Mary's throughout the world. Man... I've enjoyed a lot of great Bloody Mary's. Rosario's Bloody Mary is in the top 1% in the world. Gotta have it. Show up early for your flight and get a great taco and the best Bloody Mary in town! Enjoy!

Just don't if you can avoid it

By Wolfshead322 |

I was hungry and they served alcohol. Wanted chicken fajita taco but all out of chicken. Settled for the beef which was like shoe leather. Also got queso and chips (more like chip pieces). to my surprise the salsa was pretty. Don't think I'll be back.

Great Friendly, Responsive Service

By YO_LOOK_AT_ME |

While waiting on our flight check-in, we decided to sit back, relax, have some drinks and snacks and escape the “mask” for a bit. Harry, our waiter was very helpful and responsive to our needs. Our group had the Prickly Pear Margarita and Limon Margarita with chicken quesadillas chips with queso. Everything was fresh and delicious.

YUMMMMMM Margaritas

By Greg W |

We were told this was one of the best places in San Antonio for Mexican food. We could walk from our downtown hotel, which was a good thing because the Margaritas were fantastic. They had many different drinks and they were all tasty. The best thing was the chips and salsa, Rosario's make their own salsa and it is super addicting. Our waiter just kept filling our bowl with chips and salsa. The food was very good as well. We were not disappointed.

Nice spot for a couple of drinks

By Sable_grace |

We had a layover in the airport, so decided to stop in for drinks (at least) and food, if needed-- ended up having just drinks and chips, but it was an enjoyable visit-- Ruthie was our server and she was efficient and pleasant-- nice little diversion before our flight-- didn't have an entrée, but the salsa was good...

Atrocious customer service

By michele r |

Rude servers. Limited menu. 7:15 pm on a Saturday. Not a pleasant experience. Drank a beverage and left. Did not want to spend my money at such an establishment. Stay away!

Great tasting margaritas

By Bill G |

While waiting for our flight, we found Rosario's Mexican Cafe y Cantina close to our gate. After being seated we were quickly greeted by our server. Shortly, our drink orders were delivered and our meal orders taken. I was very happy with the margarita I had as well as the tacos I had ordered. San Antonio = tacos & margaritas in my book. This nice respit from the hassle of traveling made the challenges of our day a bit easier to bear. Future trips through the San Antonio airport will certainly have some built-in "wind down" time for a quick meal and beverage at Rosario's for sure.

As good as the one on Alamo Street

By Hoffman4 |

I got the chips and salsa, love love love that smokey salsa and the chicken enchiladas de mole. The mole is delicious, I could drink that stuff. The food tastes just like you're at the restaurant on Alamo Street.

The salsa is out of this world.

By Marie M |

Excellent food and service. I ordered their salad with shrimp. Also chips and salsa. Very good service and fast. I still have alot of time for to catch flight.

Waiting to Depart

By Patrick R |

Great place to stop when waiting to depart or just waiting to catch the next available flight because of cancellation, weather or any of many travel problems we all face today. Good selection of both food and drinks and the service was provided in a fast and friendly manner. Mostly bar food but with a south of the boarder twist. Drinks were whatever you wanted and very reasonable for an airport situation. Nice place to relax and get ready for the airplane experience we have all come to love!

Delicious Airport Cafe

By RoadRunnur |

Fresh authentic Mexican food with friendly service. A great place to head to when your flight gets delayed. Nice to be able to enjoy one more Mexican meal before you head home.

Cold breakfast tacos

By bears60 |

Very disappointed during this visit. Tbe last time we ate at this airport location the food was ok. This time the flour tortillas were white, undercooked and cold. The bacon and eggs tacos were cold, not even luke warm. It was just after 6 am so it was not late. We did not finish a the breakfast because it was just not good at all. Very disappointed.

freshest food all weekend

By carpe_itineris |

This seems almost silly to write, but the food at Rosario's was the freshest food we had eaten all weekend. This restaurant serves fare far superior to anything found along the Riverwalk. Fresh, made to order, tasty.... Loved everything we had here.

Average Airport Food

By Jeff W |

All I could say about Rosario's is that it is what you would expect of an old style airport restaurant that knows that you do not have much of a choice. The food was passable. Prices were what you would expect. Service was pleasant. If they had some more competition from a different airport food service company, there might be an incentive to try harder. If you have to eat, it is ok.

Surprisingly excellent food at the San Antonio airport

By pleasantrun1229 |

I ate there last evening. Flights delayed because of weather, everybody tired and a bit cranky. What I expected: bad food and indifferent service. What I got: very pleasant and attentive servers, really good Tex-Mex food, cold beer. They let me stay and use my laptop without hurrying me out, too. This wouldn't have been possible except they had plenty of space for new customers, but it was a real kindness they didn't have to extend. The whole experience made my evening much better.

Wow...bad

By ViperDuke73 |

Made the mistake of stopping here for breakfast while waiting for my flight. Got a cup of coffee and a "belgian waffle." Coffee tasted like it was last night's brew. Waffle was straight out of a hotel waffle machine with stale batter and overcooked; cardboard would have tasted better. Sole bright spot was the bartender didn't charge me for the cardboard so that was good.

Outstanding & Authentic Mexican

By BILL A |

We stop at Rosario's at SAT before heading to Seattle for a cruise vacation. I had chicken enchiladas with mole ( amazing mole ). My wife had the tilapia vera cruz. Both meals were superb as was the service and value. If you find yourself at SAT waiting on a flight take the time to give them a try - you won't be sorry.

Good food for the airport

By Ryan Becky J |

Had lunch here before my flight home and wasn’t disappointed. I had the turkey bacon wrap with fries. The serve told us it would be a 25 min wait which was ok we had time to kill but the food was delivered in 15 mins. Everything was cooked to order and tasted great. Was surprised at the friendliness and cleanliness.

Dinner with the wife, very good

By Phillip D |

Great restaurant, went to the close to the airport. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We had the fajitas for two and it is enough for two.

Last Taste of San Antonio

By timskumwi |

Had our last taste of San Antonio Tex Mex here at the airport. Enchiladas with mole sauce were quite delicious. Very quick service. They get you to the gate on time.

Rude waiting staff and waited 20 mins to be seated without even being acknowledged.

By Neil R |

As soon as we went just to sit down, having assumed maybe it was free seating as there is no way people would be left this long, the manager came if of no where, shaking her head, to tell us we had to wait to be seated! The staff waiting were however polite and friendly. Food wasn’t the best, but expectations nit that high at an airport. Lastly the cutlery was plastic, which is inexcusable in this day and age.

Pass

By bwilley77 |

I ate a lot of really good Mexican food while I was visiting San Antonio. This was NOT that. The queso seems to be melted Velveeta cheese. Most Mex restaurants offer free chips. Not here, it's $5. Tacos ok, but not special. I'd recommend somewhere else to eat. It's pretty expensive for what you get.

Best Food and Service

By luvdogs2002 |

I was in San Antonio for a conference and took two large parties on two separate days for dinner. I would strongly recommend Alex to be your server. He is very Attentive and is always one step ahead of what you need. I actually had dinner reservations at a different place the second time and canceled to take a group back to Rosario’s. I made sure to get the same server (Alex). Thanks Rosario’s for your great service and good.

Quick service, good food

By Dave G |

Enjoyed breakfast tacos prior to our early morning flight. Price was reasonable, service was excellent. The waitress explained how the food is home made and not just thaw and heat.

Service?

By fjmccarl |

Food was quite good when it finally arrived! Do not know if it was server or kitchen, glad I had time before my flight!

Great breakfast! Good coffee!

By David F |

We had breakfast here before departing. Breakfast was hot, fast, and delicious! I recommend it. Coffee is less expensive and tasty. They offer to-go cups as well.

Good shrimp tacos

By Justin K |

I had a little time while at the airport. The fish tacos were very tasty with very fast service. Lots of room to sit down and work while you wait.

Renovated and food as delicious as ever!

By patgrady_2012 |

This place has been renovated since the last time we were here but the food is still as wonderful as ever. I had the mole chicken and the mole sauce is made from scratch. It was amazing. The salsa was so delicious that I took an order to go!

Great Breakfast before Take Off

By MarkyMarkTX |

This is always my place for breakfast when I have an early morning flight. The tacos are more expensive (cause it's in the airport) but they are large and I can barely finish them both. Service is always good too!

Yuuuuum!

By Kathryn P |

This place is great. Very authentic interior mexican and some Tex Mex favorites also. I love the mole enchiladas with chicken. And there downtown location is a wonderful place for all the senses with salsa dancing on the weekends!

Disgusting! Had a breakfast

By ashley b |

Disgusting! Had a breakfast item with chips eggs beans cheese and what seemed like a jar of salsa on top, barely edible

Good breakfast!

By RonJmn |

We decided to not risk road or TSA delays and got to the airport early. This gave us time for breakfast. Wasn't real sure of what to expect when we decided to give it a try. Usually you can only find fast food so this seemed good. The service was good. Not too many menu choices for breakfast but easy to select one. The food was served quickly and hot. We were able to take our time and talk. I'd suggest you give it a try.

Busy place at the airport

By dbinhou7511 |

Food was OK, but service was slow. I realize that it was quite busy (due many delayed flights that day), but not a real excuse. Still the food was reasonable and the prices not too bad.

Fun start to vacation - excellent service!

By Nattienae |

Once we got through security, we stopped to start our vacation with a libation! The waitress/bartender was super friendly and provided some fun conversation! The drinks were way too expensive - which is completely expected when you drink AT the airport! :)

Great Food

By Michelle B |

I've eaten here twice and it's never disappointed. The food is flavorful and delicious. I don't even remember waiting for a very long time either time I ate here. Definitely worth the trip.

Good Mex Good and the best chips and salsa

By Saltexas |

Went there on a Sunday, not too crowded for a couples seating but groups could be an issue on the weekend...call ahead. Had chorizo and cheese as an appetizer good choice...try it out. Wife had the quinoa chile relleno and I have the tacos casabel. Both plates had very good favor and good sized portion size. Get a window seat it great looking at all the bicycle riders downtown coming and going. Best part is the chips and salsa on the table, being from El Paso I have had some authentic salsas and Rosario's is in my top three of all salsas. I just wish they would sell it b/c I would buy some. The smoky favor makes the salsa...enjoy!

Great Mexican Food close to riverwalk

By Mary T |

This is a really nice place to eat not far from the riverwalk. Food and service was great and medium prioced.

Great Breakfast!

By BSmith38 |

I get the same thing every time and it's always great. The beef tips wrapped in tortillas is my usual fare. I had it for lunch but typically get it for breakfast. Service it typically good too. It's the only place I eat in the SAT Airport.

Good food at the airport

By Green24 |

I am always skeptical of airport restaurants, but when our flight landed right before lunch and business meetings in an hour, we decided to eat here and were pleasantly surprised. I had one of their salads with the chicken. The chicken had excellent flavor and that paired with the avacado and lime dressing was very good. My husband had beef and chicken tacos with black beans. The beef was a skirt steak. While he liked the chicken one better (same chicken as on my salad), I thought his steak taco was tasty as well. We also had salsa a chips which were good, but really too much for our meal. Would eat here again if in the airport. (I don't think I have ever said that about an airport restaurant.)

Very nice food

By St_Matty |

Went here for a quick meal before our flight. Although it had a low rating on Google decided to go anyway. Found the rating unjust. The food was extremely good and the service was excellent. Had a beef stew which was great as were the cocktails.

Good food, so-so service

By Bill F |

i would call this more of a Mexican bistro. The food is good, service was so-so, but the biggest flaw is the noise level. The restaurant is a big room, with bar and dinner seating in close proximity. It was so loud we had difficulty communicating.

Suberb Mexican Food!

By Patricia O |

This is a must to add to your dining experience while in San Antonio. The food was so good, the wait staff made for a very enjoyable visit. We tried everything he recommended and were never disappointed! And the margaritas were the best!

Surprisingly good airport food!

By Steamboat323 |

We had some time to kill while waiting for our flight over the lunch hour so we stopped at Rosario's in concourse B. I ordered some pinot grigio and received a half carafe for a great price - very surprised, usually you get skimpy pours at places like this. My husband and I shared the chicken and spinach quesadilla appetizer, which was just one quesadilla but it was tasty and exactly what we needed. Our teenagers got beef enchiladas, which came with beans and rice. They both loved it. We were so happy to have tried this place, we needed one more Mexican food "fix" before going home and were worried we'd be stuck with fast food at the airport. Rosario's came through - and the service was very pleasant, prompt, and friendly. They moved people in and out quickly if customers were short on time. Prices were reasonable.

Very good Mexican food inside the San Antonio Airport

By wbullseye |

The Rosario's Mexican Cafe and Cantina is located inside Concourse B of the San Antonio International Airport. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was a reasonable selection, but was rather small for breakfast. As I haven't been to the main restaurant downtown, I don't know how that menu compares with this one. When I arrived it was around 0700 in the morning so it wasn't crowded. The server stopped by quickly to take my order. The food came soon after and was very good. What was also nice is that they came by frequently to refill my coffee. The prices were reasonable for an airport restaurant. I would consider Rosario's if your at the airport and in the mood for Mexican food.

Good Breakfast

By Joeysdoll |

On our way out of town, we stopped for a bit of breakfast. The manager who seated us warned that he had only one server so service would be slow but we dined regardless. The lone server was hustling and after a delay of maybe 10 minutes, she took our orders and brought beverages. The coffee was very good and so were the pancakes. The eggs and waffles were mediocre at best. The service stood out - it was on point although they were short-staffed, and very kind. 4 stars for the service, 2 stars for the food.

Lunch or dinner very good

By Chinapjs |

Most airport restaurants are overpriced and not very good. We've eaten here twice (before early evening flights) and the food has been very good. As good or better then one of their restaurants downtown. And the margaritas were very good. Don't think I'd try it for breakfast but then I'm not a breakfast taco or burrito type. Try the fully loaded nachos and a drink!

Not very impressed......

By BSJ3258 |

Just had breakfast at a small place just outside security. My flight was then delayed 6 hours. Stopped in to sit a bit, get on my laptop and grab something small to eat. Settled for OJ. Was served what appeared to orange flavored water. When mentioned to the server they did not much more than bring me my check. Customer service certainly needs some attention.

Landmark to Visit

By Jenn Mishra |

Rosario’s is a destination in itself. If you have time, it’s worth walking there from downtown (about 3/4 mile) and walking around the area. La Villita is close as is King William Street. We booked a table for a group of 10 on a busy night and had no problems getting seated. One reason we booked in was that not only does Rosario’s have good food - it has good VEGETARIAN options.

Best Ever!

By travelfun33 |

We're so glad we found this place. It was the best food we had in all of San Antonio. The Mole' sauce had such a dimension of flavors it was amazing. The place was packed, which speaks volumes for their reputation.

Super fast breakfast

By Deb W |

We were worried it would be a slow meal as we waited 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us for a seat. Once seated things sped up. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. Our breakfast taco came out in a flash. Our waitress was also nice enough to fill our water bottles with ice water to go. I highly recommend this while in the airport. I wanted to go to the one in town but didn't get there. I'm glad we got the chance to try their food.

Good food and great service

By Hatso |

This review is all about the server, Diego, who always had a smile and it was very busy. He did a very nice job with each table he served and it was a pleasure to watch him take care of his customers. He checked with me the appropriate number of times and never seemed rushed but he was really slammed with customers. Great job!

Can't believe this is airport food

By gremlin_337 |

My flight was delayed and I decided to take a chance with a sit down lunch, and I'm very glad I tried Rosario's. I ordered the house margarita on the rocks which was great, and also Texas-sized huge (yeee haw!). The fish tacos were really amazing. Very fresh tasting and great flavor. The only disappointment is that this place is not in Denver so I can't enjoy it regularly. I want to come back to this airport so I can eat here again.

If you are flying United or AA, eat the free breakfast at your hotel or stop at Taco Cabana before arriving the the airport. Rosario’s is one of the only places to eat in this terminal and the the food was gross. The breakfast tacos here are powdered eggs and bacon tastes microwaved. Not that taco cabana is great by any means but compared to here it’s 5 star. Service was good and the waitress was nice though. And if you have an early flight, they don’t serve alcohol before 7am (don’t judge me! Lol you’re welcome)

Good breakfast

By Nattysimps |

Yummy Tex-Mex breakfast before the flight. Very convenient with a great menu. Breakfast Tacos are worth a try :)

Great Tasting Mexican Cuisine....

By chinanelsons |

This restaurant was near our B&B and was highly recommended so we decided to give it a try! Judging from the crowd, we made a good decision! The salsa was very good! We ordered quesadillas and they were very, very good! The service could have been better as the couple in our group had to wait for drinks, chips and salsa.

It's hard to mess up a breakfast taco....

By TexasKirby |

My husband and I always have our last Mexican food "fix" before we travel out of the country and usually have good luck at Rosario's in the airport. However, we ate there inJanuary with less than stellar results. It's hard to mess up a breakfast taco but they succeeded. The tortilla was almost inedible and the order they brought was not correct. I would hate for travelers to think this is authentic Mexican food - because it was clearly not. Will certainly consider other places before Rosario's at the airport.

Sub par AT BEST

By Dani B |

Ordered the Rosario's fish fillet (the description/pic is below)... the veggies that came as a side tasted frozen & boiled - didn't eat them. The 'poblano' rice tasted like plain white rice with frozen corn and peas added in. The fish was supposed to come with capers & olives (one of the reasons I ordered it) ...and there were nary a caper or olive to be found. The fish itself was good. It was completely smothered in tomatoes and onions, which I could take or leave. Ordered the chips and salsa and the salsa tasted like it came from a jar, and the chips left something to be desired - tostitos sells a better a chip. Not my favorite lunch by far. Unfortunate.

Good margarita and meal

By S_travels4fun |

I was in San Antonio on business and asked a local where the best affordable restaurants were and this was one of the places on the list. I wasn't disappointed. I have since recommended it to others and they loved their meal as well.

Great breakfast spot

By Dominic23 |

I often find myself in this terminal, waiting on my plane. Great breakfast tacos, friendly service. Few better ways to kill time on your way to your final destination

There are various Rosario's so keep that in mind. Food is good, service as well, what more can you ask for.

A Great Place to Wait for a Flight

By jimcinsc |

We had a long wait for a flight so our gate agent recommended Rosario's. The margaritas were great and the apps pretty good for an airport restaurant, but the best part was the service. First the hostess moved some tables around to better accommodate our group and then we had a great waiter. He made a long wait much nicer with his great attitude and humor.

Military graduation trip

By Linette Y |

This is the only negative experience we've had in San Antonio! We ordered bloody Mary's (2each) while waiting for our flight home. When we received our bill, our drinks had been rung up as double we asked the bartender about this and she informed us that was how she was instructed to ring up our drinks. We asked for a manager, and when we presented her with our delima (we had NOT ordered doubles) she told us "that is just how they come". We looked on a menu and NOWHERE did it state that bloody Mary's were charged as doubles. Then the Mgr told us it was "just the recipe and that was the rules". She told us we had to pay the double price or she would call security. We had a flight to catch so we wound up paying (with no tip) and we WILL be contacting corporate headquarters as well as the SA airport about this issue. We have NEVER been treated SO rudely or unfairly by ANY airport staff. This is an experience we will NOT soon forget & will freely pass around to all friends, family, and fellow travelers! SHAME ON YOU ROSARIOS!!!

Good surprise

By Michael T |

After reading the reviews we didn't expect much. We were on a tight time schedule so decided to eat at the airport. We rarely eat at the airport but we thought what the heck. We loved it. The service was fast and friendly. The food was well made and very tasty. The chips and salsa were very fresh and tasty. If we need to eat at SAT again it will be here.

Quick lunch

By T H |

Stopped in for lunch with coworkers and enjoyed lunch before getting on plane to come home. Drinks and food reasonable for airports and good taste as well. Quick service and good service. Enjoyable!

Nothing special

By Thomas S |

Patronized this restaurant based on a concierge's recommendation. Although the menu boasted many different types of Enchiladas, the overall fare seemed limited. The locale itself was very noisy/loud no doubt due to all of the hard surfaces in the restaurant. Items were on the pricy side given the offerings. I suppose this can be explained due to the tourist area of its location.

Breakfast Tacos

By you-and-me-2015 |

Early morning business trip ... popped in for 2 tacos .... awesome service - ready and willing to get you in and out quickly if needed ... quality fillings ... tacos were huge could have made 4 out of 2 tacos. Had bacon & egg and a bean, bacon and cheese ... satisfied customer - will come back next trip 😬

So so

By nerotal |

Decided to get some last minute Mexican food before my flight. Service was slow to and I had to flag someone to let them I have not been noticed. I had the ceviche it was not what I was expecting. I looks good but the flavors don't add up.

Great service good food, especially if you are a vegetarian looking for a few more options

By RandomTraveler76 |

Having some time before my flight I hit this place up as it seemed like the best option for a vegetarian in the terminal. The food was great and the service was splendid. From the girl at the front who seated me to the waiter who made sure I could get out in time I was really impressed with the service. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get their Mexican fix on or even vegetarians wanting a few more options.

The place to go for Mexican food

By PB H |

Whenever we visit the Mission Trail or are in the downtown area, we eat at Rosarios. Great Tex-Mex, great Mole, great fish/shrimp....something for everyone. Also they have a very professional staff, and you can tell the food is made with fresh ingredients (great tortilla, chips and salsa).

A cut above the standard Mexican fare

By rszAtlanta_Ga |

This is a go to restaurant m in San Antonio. It is not on the river walk but in south town which is a short walk from the entertainment section of the river. Try to walk as parking is tough. This is a very busy spot that works. Food and service are great. The salsa is very good. My wife will recommend the hand stirred margaritas. The entrees are all very good and the Mole sauce is wonderful. A great choice off the river-walk that has a selection for everyone. I always make a point to eat here when in town and have never been disappointed.

Breakfast and traveling

By dieseldave9895 |

As always, the food is great, especially the breakfast tacos. However , I have visited twice in the past month before flying out and the front counter service has been horribly slow with the new woman they hired. Very inattentive, grumpy, and did I say slow? Both times she forgot my drink order. Does she know she is at an airport and people are catching planes? It shouldn't take 45 minutes for a couple if tacos and a cup of coffee. I will have to go elsewhere if their time management skills are not improved.

Airport restaurant? No go.

By KundaNomad |

I arrived at the airport here in San Antonio a little early and decided to get some breakfast as it was 10:30am. It was a no-go as I was informed that they were not serving breakfast only lunch. Well I was a little baffled given it still was morning. Anywho, I decided to have lunch and decided to order my favorite Mexican dish, pollo con mole, or as the menu stated in the o so San Antonio spanglish style - "chicken mole." It seemed a little overpriced at 11.99 but I was hungry so I ordered it. Then the shocker of all time...the waitress asked me if I wanted tortillas...I looked at her baffled and then looked at the sign of the name of the restaurant "...mexican"...so I told her "yes" to the tortillas...her response was that it would be extra. I was take aback again. This is ridiculous charging for tortillas when I overpay on an ordered Mexican dish. This is the equivalent of asking for a glass of water and being told the water will be extra. I was so hungry and pickings we're slum so I ordered my "mexican" plate without tortillas. The food was microwaved or just unfrozen because the chicken lacked taste and was chewy like tofu. Not my best experience at an airport reataurant...I should have spent the same amount of money on Starbucks and I would be much happier...note to self...if a place has mexican on it's name and does not recognize the most basic Mexican elements of a meal then it is just some corporate approach at making money out of a label not out of knowing anything about the food. DO NOT EAT HERE if you know what mexican food is.

Good Place to Wait for Your Flight

By T. P |

We arrived early for a flight and discovered there was no Admiral's Club at the SAT Airport. We found this restaurant and spent a pleasant hour and a half sampling the good Margaritas, chips and salsa, and Tex-Mex food. This was a nice way to end our stay in San Antonio.

Pork carnitas were amazing.

By MattArmb9 |

Not often that I would recommend an airport restaurant but this one was very good. The carnitas were excellent. Check it out if you're in Terminal B. Also was served quickly during the lunch hour so they can get you in and out if you have a flight to catch.

Decent Mexican food, small in portions though

By Dane |

The mexican food has a really good flavor. The salsa is good, but the only thing is the portion sizes are small. I was hungry.

Any healthy breakfast?

By Alberto S |

You want to start a business trip strong and this might be the place to do it. Good airport location and good service. However, there a simply no healthy alternatives on the menu. A lot of grease and a lot of salt. Breakfast tacos are good portion and taste good. Coffee was not really good and brewed in very large batches. But for airport alternatives this will do for good Tex-Mex.

Dismissive attitude

By Thomas D |

Hostess would not allow seating in other than a very crowded area even though there were plenty of open tables. She refused to offer any other options and attitude was dismissive. This was particularly disappointing because I have always had good service and experiences here.

Great Mexican food

By Maogao |

I've heard about Rosario's for a long time but had never eaten there until this week when I was visiting San Antonio (I live south of SA). In a city with lots of good Mexican food, Rosario's can hold its own. My husband had sopa de pozole--a soup that he also makes. He said that the broth was fabulous and he is rethinking his own recipe. It was topped with fresh raw cabbage and was served with a small side plate--oregano, hot pepper paste, lime, and chopped red onion (add what you want). He ordered puffy tacos just to eat something different. They were good (small fried tortillas topped with beef). I ordered Enchiladas Mexicanas. They were filled with queso fresco and served with a side of cabbage slaw and chopped avocado. The red sauce on the enciladas was delicious--rich and spicy. We ordered bread pudding for dessert. FABULOUS. We couldn't finish it even though we were sharing. It had a decadent caramel sauce and was served with vanilla ice cream that had a fruity sauce on it. The waiter was great--not intrusive, but there when we needed him. I will definitely go back and try something else when I'm in town again.

Great food! Disappointing service

By Chris G |

The wait was exactly what they promised. And they text you when table ready, but went downhill from there. Service was horrible. We had a small child and they never brought HER any eating utensils. I had to feed her with the spoon from my beans. I will say the food was hot and grilled beautifully but poor and slow service overrides that. Think twice before eating here. But maybe just insist your waiter respond to your needs.

Just ok

By Follync |

Was hoping for great Mexican food, got reasonably good tacos, odd enchiladas suizas (should have paid more attention to the description--white wine sauce really?, instead of just seeing and ordering.). Margaritas were good. Pleasant indoor/outdoor seating but very noisy.

Great food and service

By agbrock |

Veronica provided top notch service by laying a napkin on my lap, moving the salt, pepper and desert menu close to me. I would normally not expect this service at a quick serve restaurant in the airport. The food was fresh and tasty.

Great lunch

By David B |

All three of us has excellent Tex-Mex cuisine, wonderful service, and great margaritas. Would clearly recommend Rosario's to anyone wanting good meal.

Good Breakfast Place

By John R |

Stopped in for breakfast here. Had Huevos Rancheros platter.... 2 eggs over, salsa, fried potatoes, refried beans, 2 corn tortillas, crispy bacon and good coffee. Waitress was friendly and efficient, and kept the coffee mug filled. Would eat here again. God Bless

Really Enjoyed Their Tex Mex Enchiladas

By takticaltraveler |

We had a late lunch here and enjoyed their salsa and enchiladas. I believe my son had the Suisse and I had the Ranchera? Everyone was ordering different items, so I'm sure they have lots of great tasting food on their menu :)

Slow Service and Cold Food

By road_tripping9110 |

We had high hopes as we left San Antonio because every other place we tried was great. We should have skipped this and just got a snack across the way at the convenience store because now my last memory of this trip is terrible service and bad food. Our food took a while and the melted cheese on my daughter's meal had already cooled off and become a solid gel across he nachos. My salad has wilted lettuce and my wife's soup was lukewarm. After the meal I had to ask for a check numerous times and even then had to stand up and wait to actually get the manager to come by to push my check to the top. No matter how busy (which it was not at all) 20 minutes after a meal is too long to wait for a check. Another 10 minutes to run my card and get a receipt is inexcusable.

Pretty good airport food

By Mmarymomm |

I had a piece of fish and vegetables with a Vera Cruz sauce at Rosario’s at the airport. I was seated promptly and person from the waitstaff came over shortly thereafter. I had a lot of time to kill so I did not notice if my meal was too fast or too slow. The fish was properly cooked and the sauce was good and abundant. I have eaten at much pricier places with bad food at airports so this was a pleasant surprise.

Fair Airport Fare

By Bthummel |

Limited menu with breakfast burritos, waffles, or pancakes. No toast. Quick service and served it’s purpose.

Ok food , good service

By Jwvv |

The breakfast tacos are huge, but the flavor is pretty bland. One taco is a meal, but no seasoning- sorry

Tastiest breakfast...

By Janette K |

As a native San Antonian I value a great breakfast taco! The tacos at Rosario's in tha SA airport are a great value and the tastiest and most authentic breakfast you'll have there. They're Texas size!

Make sure you have at least an hour before boarding

By MrSirTim |

Saw several customers walk out before food arrived. Service slower than other Rosarios! Maybe offer reduced menu. Food OK. Servers Ok.

excellent Tex Mex in artsy locale

Adequate airport restaurant

By Denny B |

The food was actually pretty good. Service was quick, as we all chose different type of meals. For an airport restaurant this is satisfactory.

Best shrimp tacos I've ever had! And I get then everywhere I go. This was a surprise find in theSan Antonio airport! Fresh and simply amazing!

Nice Sit Down Pre-Flight Break

By Marie N |

This restaurant is located in one of the airport terminals in San Antonio, Texas. I had a really bad breakfast experience at my hotel, so I left early and grabbed a cab to the airport, in hopes of finding something edible before my long day of connecting flights. This place had a limited menu but was just what the doctor ordered. Cons: Limited Menu They were out of pancakes Pros: Super friendly staff I almost put "powdered scrambled eggs" in cons.. but even though they MIGHT have been powdered eggs they were REALLY good. The tea was amazing. Randomly, they had amazing fresh leafed teas and it was delicious and the best tea I've had at any airport. 2 breakfast tacos for $7... need I say more? Sit down dining right at the gate. I usually get food an awkwardly eat at my gate or on the plane. This place offers a nice setting to sit down and eat in a restaurant setting that's not overcrowded and it's sitting right at most of the gates in the terminal. This was really nice after a stressful morning. It's not often you can relax right next to your gate and not worry about missing your plane. This made my 8 hours of plane travel tolerable. Nice start to the day.

Food Good

By 2casagatos |

The food is good and comes out fast since the menu for breakfast is limited. However today service was not like I have had in the past. Waited more than 10 min to be acknowledged and ordered taken. We got food but Never got a glass of water we requested along with ordering our food.

Good Tacos, Colorful Atmosphere, Adjacent to Downtown

By Mustread1 |

Big, open, colorful, very casual atmosphere. Had the 3 tacos variety platter for lunch, $10.95 and side of guacamole - tastey, would get again, very filling. Service was average. Prices decent. Parking can be challenging, mostly on the street.

Slow service

By tracyleelee |

Our food was pretty good, but they ran out of the dish 2 people ordered. We never got the guac we ordered and our table wasn't services very well. 4 food and 2 service drove the 3 rating.

Eat Here!

By Anne G |

Early morning flight out of San Antonio or stuck at the airport due to a delayed flight? This is the best place to eat! You’ll find delicious and hearty breakfast tacos or savory lunch and dinner fare. Tacos callejeros are amazing!

Not Impressed

By Samuel C |

I like stopping here at Rosarios in order to grab a quick bite. When I arrived, waited 10 mins to be seated even though it was dead. Sat down only to be told that this section is closed by an employee getting up from their meal. What a welcome. Ordered some tacos and the chicken tasted like it was microwaved. Beer was ok even though it was a bit flat for a shock top. The only good thing was that the waitress: Alyssa was very nice. Everyone else could use some additional training on customer service.

Place sucks

By Munka12016 |

Waited 25 mins to get let in and gave up. Plenty of room inside. Only 2 people working. They saw me numerous times waiting but avoided me so avoid this place. I’ll take my hard earned money elsewhere.

Best mexican!

By DT424 |

We Really loved this place. Had chile rejano and it was so good! staff was nice as well. Def returning when we come back!

Wow a really good airport restaurant in San Antonio

By Chinapjs |

Rosario's is one of the more popular restaurants in San Antonio so it was probably not surprising to see it at the airport close by our depature gate. What was surprising was how good it was. The menu is a little smaller than at its restaurants in town but the food is of the same high quality. The green enchiladas were very, very good as were the mixed tacos. The house made flan with kaluha was so good that we had one each after ordering only one to share. They have an excellent bar for mixed drinks and the service is very good. We asked if we could relax after lunch and just relax over coffee while we waited in comfort for our flight. The answer was a yes, of course. Friendly people!

Rosarios worth the Tex Mex change of pace

By TracyG540 |

I frequent San Antonio at least once a month on business and make a point to seek out restaurants I haven't frequented in a while. I had forgotten Rosarios over the past few years. I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere and food selection. The food has a bit of a California flair to it. While still somewhat traditional Tex Mex, they put a spin on it with sauces, creams, and a large fish section on their menu. I had the green chicken enchiladas with a dose of la crema on top. Great flavors! Accompanying rice was above average but the refired beans a little lacking-good taste but quickly turned to mortar. Atmosphere is high energy but maybe a little on the loud side. Service was adequate but a little spotty as you will be served by several waiters but also may go a while without any contact because there seems to be no set organization to the wait staff. Chips are crisp and salsa has appropriate heat with a great smoky flavor. I would recommend for another visit!
