Greeted with an unhappy waitress Eggs good. Not very attentive said they would bring coffee waited 8 minutes, never came back to see how we were. Not a very busy time. I would rather if went to Home Run

It must be 10 years since we first stumbled on this quintessential SF bistro, but we always return on our annual pilgrimage to this city. It's small, cozy and buzzing with talk. The menu is relatively small but boasts enough choices to keep everyone, including vegetarians, happy. The wild-caught salmon was perfectly cooked, and the Meyer Lemon olive oil custard was a delightful surprise. Had a glass of Sonoma Rickshaw Pinot noir that was pure perfection.

This is a café so while the food is lovely, it's not trying to be a starred Michelin competitor.. It is homey and the food is excellent. In the Marina district ( so parking is, to say the least, challenging), it's kind of a Cheers place- lots of locals come there and see neighbors-- but it also has a good general rep. I had the pasta with clams which I loved and a nice green salad that was a really good size. They had an unexpectedly good wine list by the glass ( hard to find) and the Sancerre I drank was yummy ( sorry forgot the name). Tobey had a couple of appetizers , the Mussels which were excellent and a green salad. We gave in and had the berry cobbler ( under some other name) and it was easily enough for two and very tasty. This is a place I could go to without a second thought again and again for comfy ambience, location and very good food. The waiter was excellent as well

We stopped into Rose's late one evening and were seated immediately. We just needed a light bite. My husband had the minestrone soup and I had the citrus salad. Both were very good and reasonably priced. Just what we needed.

I've been mainly using Rose's for late long-ish breakfasts, which they are very good at. The place has a bright, lovely, welcoming ambience and the food is great. There's a comfortable food bar which is great for me because I'm traveling alone. I'm sitting down on Chestnut right now waiting to meet up with a friend. Maybe we'll have lunch at Rose's. I can't imagine a better choice.

Had brunch there today. Really nice! Had their breakfast pizza. Really tasty and unique. Coffee was very good as well. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely go back. Outdoor seating had controls for heaters right at the seat.

We wanted to have something healthier for breakfast and found this place. Their home-made granola are must-have. The stuff we tried were very fresh, the portions were reasonable and the service was good. Since we went early enough, there was no waiting line and our food was served very quickly. We enjoyed the meal and had a wonderful time.

It was a toss up between average and very good rating. Went on a weekday around 10 a.m. and although crowded seated promptly. We were given menus with has a nice selection. It took about ten minutes before our waitress took our order. No fault of her own; she was also tending to outdoor tables. Our coffees arrived one regular and one Café Americana which was in a huge cup. You'll be surprised by the rather high cost of both. We had the Potato Hash with Ham one with poached egg; the other with scrambled at $16 each. (Not an overabundant amount of food rather an adequate amount not having you feel stuff.) The side order of toast with jam and butter was not included at $4. The pastry looked very tasty and was $9 for three. Asking for one our waitress shared it is $9 whether you order one, two or three. We opted not to order any. Frequented by both locals and visitors.

We visited this restaurant on Mother’s Day, hoping to enjoy a relaxed, flavorful brunch as a family. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived, which was surprising given the occasion. While that might usually raise a red flag, we’ve dined here before and had truly memorable experiences—so we were optimistic. We ordered three dishes: • I had the smoked salmon breakfast pizza, • My son chose the chicken sausage with polenta, • My husband ordered the soft scrambled egg sandwich. Unfortunately, all of the dishes came out rather underseasoned. I ended up needing hot sauce to bring life to the pizza, and both my husband and son reached for the salt and pepper shakers to elevate their meals. The ingredients seemed fresh, but the lack of seasoning really muted what could’ve been great dishes. Service was friendly but a bit absent-minded. We had to request sugar and creamer for our coffee more than once, and by the time they arrived, the coffee had already gone cold. That said, we still had a good time—we were in great company and appreciated not being rushed, especially on a holiday. Despite the missteps, I’m still giving this restaurant a 4/5, based on the many good memories we’ve had here in the past. I truly hope this was just a fluke, and that the kitchen brings back the well-seasoned, standout flavors we remember and love.

We stumbled upon Rose's Cafe in SAN Francisco. It is a small and quaint cafe on the corner. They have seating inside and outside the cafe. It was cold that night so we decided to eat indoors. The staff is very helpful and courteous. We decided to get a pizza and the crust was light and delicious. I love the olives and bread with olive oil served prior to your meal. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

21 degrees C and hot sunshine in December, sitting outside, delicious calzone, glass of wine, good sight seeing advice from waiter... what could have made a better lunch?

We had an outrageously delicious breakfast. The coffee kept coming as well. The atmosphere was fun and comfortable. Outside seating is available. Our server was a bit slow in getting to us. Once she realized we were one of her tables, all went smoothly and attentively.

For a little neighborhood eatery Rose's was very good. The decor was charming and the pizza was delicious. So were other appetizers and entrees. Beer/wine also excellent.

My friends love this small cafe only a block from my house. I find the menu limited and, when the food is good the service is mediocre at best. No chance of water, no chicken or walnuts in the Caesar salad (my friend never did get the walnuts), inaccurate bills, never properly corrected, noisy and crowded. I have been several times before the date listed.

The menu is not huge but what they do they do well. Intimate little place with a very nice ambiance, we found the service to be excellent, restrooms clean, nice wine list and unlike other reviewers found the price reasonable. We had a couple of appetisers (for us Aussies, entrees) and a pizza, all very good. They totally nail the Roma style pizza - super thin crust - like in Rome - seriously. Their low cost Tuscan (ITG) reds are really quite nice. Quaint restaurant. We did not encounter a queue unlike other reviewers. We had a very nice time at Rose's.

Charming little restaurant with a wonderful secluded patio. They serve fabulous French toast prepared in their own special way. The herbed eggs and ham were great. We can't wait to go back!

I'm not a big fan of polenta and this dis has a base of it. But the sausage was delicious. As soon as I bit into it, I was welcomed with a bunch of herbs that added to the taste.

We came as a tired family at our last day in SF and really just wanted a lunch. But this place was a tru gem. We got outdoor seating in the sun and all food was really good (although on he pricey side). Service and everything perfect. Desserts perhaps the best. This is such a calm and classy area of SF.

We very much enjoy this delightful place! Pleasantly surprised with the food, very fresh and beyond fantastic! This will now be our favorite stop when travelling through Sanfran!

Very friendly service. Good selection of salads and pasta. Nice wines ! Good atmosphere, even when it's cloudy outside.

We came because we saw many favorable reviews, and once again, they told the truth. We actually walked all the way from the financial district to this place (some kind of hike), and when we got here, we loved the look and the charm of the establishment. The food fell right into line with what we read and what we could see with our eyes. We shared two entrees and both were delish. And, we had an amazing server that took good care to point out the level of spice in a dish we were considering (and eventually chose) and that kind of care is really appreciated. So, if you want charm and good food, try this place. You will be well rewarded. Dinner for two, including three drinks, two salads and two entrees was $132 before tip. An excellent value.

The place is small and packed with locals. The food is delicious and the bacon on my sandwich was the best I have ever eaten. They also made fresh squeezed lemonade with lavender which was very refreshing. Everything we had was very good.

We went here for breakfast and it was divine. I wasn't a huge fan of their style of bacon, but bacon is hard to mess up and I definitely ate it all. I had polenta and french toast, and my boyfriend had the breakfast pizza. Their homemade italian soda was delicious. All in all, the food was 5 stars. The service was okay. Our waiter seemed distracted and he was servicing a table next to us that contained his friends, so he kept going over there to drink with them and chat. I wouldn't have minded that if we weren't running out of water and napkins and such!

My wife and I stumbled across this wonderful brasserie while looking for a good cup of coffee. Being that it was late afternoon already, we had missed the usual coffee hours (the staff was preparing the restaurant for dining). However, everyone was super accommodating and so nice! We got a great spot, had our cappuccino craving satisfied and really enjoyed the ambience. Parisian brasseries kept coming to mind while I was looking around. The giant mirrors above the bar really open the place too. Definitely coming back for dinner sometime!

Great service, good coffee, a very good brunch, and a lovely setting on Union Street. I wish we'd had time in the city to visit again.

Found Rose's Cafe by chance when early for an appointment near Union Street. The perfect spot for a great cup o tea and a delicious scone...did not have time for anything else, unfortunately, but watched in amazement at the dishes leaving the kitchen...as we sat in front of the bakery cabinet full desirable items! Great traditional type of menu...cannot wait to return for Brunch! Staff are super helpful and friendly...love the San Francisco older style cozy atmosphere...a neighborhood gem! Parking can be difficult!

I sat at the counter as I was travelling solo and had a lovely chat with the server behind the bar. Great atmosphere!

It was nice to sit outside and have dinner. They have great heaters to keep you warm if it's cold. The food and wine list is really excellent! Great people watching! Can't wait to go back.

Walking distance from the Union Street Inn where we stayed, the food was superior and the service was wonderful. Lovely menu that included many of our favorites... anything with seafood is sure to please. Try the Caesar Salad with crab... yummy!! The wines by the glass are fabulous too.

Rose's Cafe is one of the few interesting places left in the increasingly homogenous Cow Hollow district of San Francisco, with its endless procession of nail salons, workout clothing stores, coffee shops (and of course the pony-tailed blondes who frequent them). The baked goods are crisp and flaky, and the breakfasts are sized for any appetite. The granola with fresh fruit is some of the best around. The restaurant is a good place to linger over a good book or conversation at any hour.

We had breakfast on our last day in SF. Popular place with typical waiting time, this place offers good breakfast. With quite a few dog owners you can tell this place is popular with locals. We had the scramble egg with spinach and cheese and fried eggs. Excellent service , decent portion and good taste. Not too bad.

Very mediocre. Service was poor, food was fine. Focaccia was just pizza crust. Clear signs of skimping and cutting corners— beet salad only had buratta under part of the dish, for example. Just not worth your time or money.

We frequented this little beauty quite a few times on our recent trip to San Francisco, it was suggested to us by a staff member at our Hotel, we are so glad we did, each day has a different menu depending on what the Chef has and wants to cook, the breakfast menu and dinner menu were really interesting, We really enjoyed the Potato Hash, each day had something different added to it. We fell in love with the Gnocchi, one of our party loved the pizza he had, What they did with Beets was yummy, Good Choices on the extensive wine list, the beer choices too. The best thing is you could come every day and there would be something different which we loved. The pastries looked fabulous although we did not try them, the smells coming from the kitchen were making our mouths water, the staff were very attentive and those buys behind the counter creating these little tasty miracles are to be commended.

A lovely friendly cafe in UnionStreet with very efficient waiting staff. Water and little dish of superb olives arrived immediately. The table was set with cloth napkins, white tablecloth covered with white paper. A tempting selection of antipasti, soups and salads and of the pastas I chose fresh spaghetti with lamb sausage, broccoli rabe, Calabrian chiles and Parmesan. A very good hit of Chile and I really enjoyed the dish. Also on offer were pizza, stews, grills and roasts and an interesting selection of sides. To finish I was tempted by the pear- cranberry ginger snap crumble with vanilla ice cream . A lovely cafe and very good staff. Highly recommended.

It's tight, the menu is limited, but it is tasty, reasonably priced and with a warm atmosphere helped by the gracious staff. Italian dishes and pizza are not your average ... real effort is made and it shows. Moderate prices.

In need of a dog friendly outdoor cafe I walked to find rose's cafe. The coffee , salads , sandwiches And desserts are lovely. Wait staff every time was pleasant , friendly & quick. Heaters are a nice plus for outdoor diners to adjust themselves.

Know how you can be overcome with choices when in an area with many many choices? Tourist trap or local best-kept secret ? Well, if you're shopping on Union Street (which I highly recommend), head down-street to Rose's Café for a local's best- kept secret. All home-made foods, including the fresh breads, served in a casual atmosphere. As an example, I enjoyed Breakfast for Lunch (available all day). Chicken sausage grilled and served on creamy polenta with just a splash of spicy marinara. Excellent. Good portions at a good price in a really fun atmosphere. Outside seating available. Reservations suggested unless for have some extra time to wait. Good for families, children, couples, people from Ohio. Casual dress.

Shopping on Union Street is one of my wife's 'must do' activities when we come to SF. Rose's is a great place to take a break from shopping and have lunch. The menu is very creative and the quality of food is great. The portions are not large, and so not ideal for sharing. Prices are moderate - not inexpensive, but the food is worth the price. Service can be a bit slow. But hey, just relax a little.

give a treat to an afternoon of walking the shops and stopping for a delightful and creative lunch with an excellent wine selection.

We ate here our first day in SF. The food was great and the place was extremely busy. We also ate there for breakfast early one morning. The menu is printed daily as it many foods change. It is kitty corner from Union Street Inn, where we stayed.

We had a lovely lunch here and I enjoyed the yummy minestrone soup while my husband had a mixed green salad with chicken!. The food was excellent and the service was spot on. Try the lemonade also! Casual friendly atmosphere.

We stopped at this cafe for brunch on a holiday and the small interior was packed. But we got seated immediately on an outside patio, separated from the sidewalk by potted greenery. Service was quick and efficient, and we liked the food. I ordered a grilled wild salmon cozy with cucumber, watercress, onion, radishes and aioli ($14). The ingredients worked perfectly together and I thought the combination was delicious, providing a nice contrast in texture to the crispy cozy. But there was far too much watercress. I had to dump half of it onto my plate. My husband chose a roasted turkey breast sandwich with avocado, provolone and whole grain mustard ($13). He rated it "very good." We shared a wonderful apple tart with pumpkin ice cream ($8) for dessert. This Cow Hollow restaurant calls itself a San Francisco-style bistro. We found the employees to be welcoming and the ambiance casual. It seems to get many local residents, based on the number of diners greeting each other on the patio. One diner had her small bulldog sitting on the chair next to her. Based on our experience, I think Rose's Cafe would be a good place for lunch after shopping on Union Street or exploring nearby Pacific Heights. It also serves breakfast and dinner. Offerings include pizza and homemade pasta.

We stay near Rose's when we visit San Francisco twice a year. We haven't enjoyed the loud, trendy, over-priced restaurant scene on Chestnut Street but we have grown attached to this Cow Hollow neighborhood gem. The interior is attractive but not up to the minute. The food is excellent. It is very popular, primarily with locals of all ages.

My last dinner in SF during my conference week. Being solo I was offered a seat at the bar, so I could see the chef preparing the dishes. Very good food, wine and Italian espresso. Efficient service. Again, not particularly cheap like everything in SF.

A friend and I arrived Rose's at 11AM for lunch. Seated immediately, as many tables available. Our waitress, KRISTIN, was the worse. Took drink orders. Back to take lunch orders. Our salads were delivered in a timely manner. Kristen NEVER once returned to the table to see how our meal was or if we needed anything. I wanted bread to go with the salad, but never saw Kristin's eyes again. As our salad were being taken, I then asked the busboy for bread. Kristin returns with our bill, and slaps it on the table. Finally getting her attention, we asked for a refill of ice tea. I then mentioned to her, that she never returned, never offered us bread, refills of our tea, no offer of coffee, tea, or dessert. Her excuse, she was tired, worked many days. Time to stay home for a day, Kristen!!! I came to have a nice, relaxing lunch with my friend, not to have bad service or hear sob stories. I am the customer...paying the bill for good food and good service! I, also work, Kristin, and also had a long week.

We had a great lunch here, it was pretty busy but they managed to seat ourfamily of four, and take great care of us! Nice interior, very good food and friendly service. Recommended.

As I approached Rose's on a raining morning after Thanksgiving, the outside seating was not a option. As a solo diner I was given the option to choose my table and I picked a table for two by the window. I was made to feel warm and welcomed and the refill of the smallish sized coffee cup was appreciated. The surroundings were dark on this grey day but the large, well placed mirrors helped reflect what light there was. As the cafe filled with holiday parties I enjoyed my pouched eggs, sausage, and polenta and refills of coffee. Despite being one diner taking up two place I was served with courtesy and efficiency. My nine-thirty breakfast was exactly what I needed to brighten the dreary day.

While driving around SF and having fun going down the STEEP hills of San Francisco, we found Rose's Cafe and stopped for lunch. Parking is a pain, but that is everywhere in SF, so have quarters (just buy a roll) or the parking app ready to go. The cafe has a lovely Parisian feel but with a slightly more modern twist. It was not stogy, but this is definitely not a burger joint, so dress was slightly formal than tee shirt and shorts. I would suggest a golf shirt at least. We got there right at the lunch rush and had to wait, but that is completely understandable. There was a little disorganization around getting seated (others who came after us, sat first at tables that would have fit my party of 4), but it was not ridiculous so we waited. The menu is full of dishes that sounded delicious, and the food come out pretty quickly. It was very good, not great, but it was very tasty, very fresh and was worth the wait

4 of us visiting from Canada walked from our hotel to this awesome little place for breakfast. We enjoyed the outdoor seating as we watched the hussle of union street. This place seems to be a hotspot for the locals, and it's understandable why. We ordered the "house-made granola with fruit and yogurt (pictured), french toast (pictured), Yukon Gold Potato Hash with Corned Beef, Onions, Cheddar & Organic Poached Eggs (pictured). Can't remember the last order. Anyhow, the service was quick and the food outstanding. Highly recommended for a great breakfast, not cheap but homemade with love.

We were so happy to get a table at Rose's on a rainy Easter morning! The wait staff kindly set two tables for our larger party. The food was great... especially the smoked salmon "pizza".

I ate here with my friend for a girls lunch and we enjoyed every bite. She had the beet salad and I got the poached tuna salad. Both were incredibly delicious, and our carafe of wine was well priced and brought quickly. Great service, even better atmosphere. Oh, and check out the bathroom-- it's beautiful!!

My wife and I had 5 hours left in SF, so we headed back to Union St to cruise the neighborhood. It was about brunch time so we saw a few people waiting outside, which is a good sign. We put our name on the list and had about a 15 minute wait. Once seated the line outside grew to probably a 45 minute wait, we beat the rush! My wife had the had the soft scrambled eggs with spinach and prosciutto and I had the Yukon gold potato hash. Absolutely delicious, large portions and reasonable prices!

A great breakfast/lunch place. We had awesome salads as well as a nice Rose and glass of Champagne. Bustling restaurant. Great and attentive service. Only 1 restroom though.

Worth a visit. Homemade granola, pastries and goodies in a nice homely place. Would revisit in an instant.

After asking many locals where's the best place for lunch vast majority recommended Rose's....now I see why. Food and service both top notch. Only disappointment was the server recommended coquette (unsure of SP) for dinner and it was awful.....should have went back to Rose's where it was a third the price and excellent all around. Can't wait to return.

I had a pasta with muscles and it was amazing and with a Bellini. Good prices, definetly worth a visit.

Maybe the first sign should have been that they served the soft scrambled eggs on toast with a steak knife... The eggs were not very flavorful and the toast was very thick and very hard! I couldn’t even cut it with the steak knife provided. A disappointing brunch..

The breakfastpiza is a must. In Our 9 days in SF, we had breakfast at Roses 5 times. It is the Perfect start, and to suit and plan the SF day, couldnt be bet¨ter

Breakfast pizza and fresh squeezed OJ were yummy. I would definitely go here again. Not too pricey either!

Really enjoyed this sweet cafe. The atmosphere was very French and the food was unusual and delicious. A little pricey but not overmuch. The only issue I had was with the server. Unpleasant for the most part from the time she unkindly shewed us out from an open door. (We unknowingly entered a few minutes before the opening.)

This place is on 2298 Union St / Steiner. It’s delightful. Gorgeously nestling on the corner in the sunshine . Seating outside . It’s picture postcard stuff. Packed on a Sunday mid morning too. Clearly one for locals aswell as tourists dropping by . Very “Knotting Hill London” or Fulham . The Breakfast pizza is superb. Coffees good too . Staff naturally very friendly.

Place has inside and outside seating. Popped in for breakfast. Bakes were very good. Sandwiches accompanied by a small salad with good dressing. Ambiance is pleasant and the crockery is classy. Would have rated as excellent, hadn't the server missed out on getting a much needed promised coffee refill.

Eggs with truffles 😍😍 amaaazingg! You need to try their jam, unique! Love everything about this place. The service is friendly and you feel welcome! Best French in town so far!

Great place for breakfast / brunch. Very nice outdoor seating. This is one of my favorite go to places for informal meetings over coffee.

Great location in very nice residential area with bus stops to city Centre and many good hotels & motels and shops near by. We enjoyed healthy breakfasts outside and dinner inside. Good menu at reasonable cost. Excellent service.

Went for breakfast/brunch, the is cute and has nice decor (had fresh flowers throughout the cafe). The staff is very friendly and efficient. We were impressed that the cafe offers Jo Malone hand soap and diffuser in the bathroom (which is very nice). We ordered fresh orange juice, coffee latte and spinach scrambled eggs with Parma ham on toast (very tasty).

We stopped by for a late dinner. The house-made spaghetti with pancetta and brussels sprouts was very good. The wood-fired Margherita pizza was also good. Service was prompt and the atmosphere homey. I would recommend Rose’s for a nice dinner.

This restaurant was recommended to us by Jay (Victorian homes walk) and we were very satisfied. It was warm enough that we could eat outside. We had beet salad, ham focaccia and strawberry shortcake. Very good food and pleasant waitress. Afterwards we walked up and down Union Street which has many interesting shops.

Brunch during the week is different than during the weekend. Solid food, good service, burger was great and garlic potatoes, polenta dish was also really good.

Had a great breakfast here in a lively atmosphere. The food and service is very good. The coffee cups could be a bit larger but that's just me.

After a long walk, we found the exact spot for a most delicious brunch - Rose's Cafe. As it was a mild fall day, we were able to sit outside on the patio surrounded by green plants and shrubs. Our choices consisted of the Roasted Turkey Breast with Avocado, Provolone & Whole Grain Mustard on Brioche for $13.00 and the Roasted Chicken, Fontina, Herbs & Caramelized Onions on Ciabatta $14.00. Both were very tasty and satisfying meals! Coffee was smooth and endless! Rose's is THE place to have a bite and rest after enjoying a stroll along trendy Union Street shops. Enjoy!

My daughter and I stumbled upon this cafe while looking for a good place to eat within walking distance of the Palace of Fine Arts. This place was a great find. Server was friendly and attentive. French toast with strawberries and cream was amazing. The amount of food that came with our order was really perfect. Decor very warm. Would absolutely come back.

A slightly upscale local gem of a place: small, cozy tables, knowledgeable staff and excellent food. Their sauces are uniquely their own, different but not unusual. My wife especially enjoyed her bowtie pasta dish.

We had a pasta experience...tried the meatballs, which were great, but the pasta was the best ever. Topped off with a plate of delicious cookies...and, don't forget the wine! A terrific dining experience in a family atmosphere.

Good selection of mainly Italian based dishes, excellent tastes and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere

Good reasons why this Pacific Heights/Marina district is so legendary and popular: great menu of delicious and filling breakfast (and more) plates. Generous portions, good coffee, excellent service, and leave room for at least one of their pastries!

Been for dinner tonight with me wife and daughter - food and service out of this world - a proper hidden gem!!

We came across this cafe by accident and loved how it looked from the outset. We chose to sit outside, but the indoors looked really nice too. It had a family-business atmosphere and some surprisingly interesting menu choices.

Made a reservation for my family of 5 based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. Small and cozy restaurant service and food was great. Beautiful area. Would go back again!

Rose's Cafe is the perfect place to kill an afternoon. Great atmosphere, lovely tea and a superb menu. Possibly the best turkey sandwich I've ever had. Definitely worth going out of your way for.

Food was good service was great, we appreciated the gluten free options. A very nice spot for breakfast in Dan Francisco.

I came for lunch with a friend on a weekday, and we were seated quickly. I enjoyed my Yukon potato hash, and quite liked that it was not a huge plate of food. What bugged me was being charged $5 for a simple cup of tea, for a brand that costs about that much for a box of 20 teabags at the store. Also, on the bill, the main courses were each charged a dollar more than the menu price, although they corrected that once we spotted it.

Surprisingly only a ten minute wait for what I believed to be top notch service, very good food, clean and quaint atmosphere. I enjoyed the yukon gold potatoes (slightly mushy) with corned beef hash and poached eggs, while my companion loved the thin crusted, thinly sliced ham pizza. The cafe latte was exceptional (and Gi-normous) and the cappuccino lovely. Will be back!!

Rose's is a nice corner place that features basic fare at a reasonable cost. The patio is small, but well cut off from the street and nicely warmed by overhead heaters. The staff is friendly and efficient. The salads are huge and well portioned. The beet, ,for instance, must have had two or three beets in it and chunked rather than shaved. The pizza is thin, and the crust could have been crispier, but it is okay. It was a good lunch stop on a great street.

Awful experience I would not recommend to anyone. We ordered focaccia and they delivered a cheeseless pizza. For 5 people we paid $150 for food I would expect from a pool club smack shack.

Stumbled across this cafe whilst walking ...... great place , we managed to get a seat outside as the weather was great .... All the food looked fab , we only had drinks and a side of garlic fried potatoes (which were stunning) ... However we were disappointed we found this late into our stay otherwise we would have returned to sample the great looking food ...

I had eaten at Rose's a couple times previously for lunch but this was the first time for dinner. It took us a while to get seated and to get the waiter to recognize us. They weren't that busy so maybe they were short staffed. My two guests enjoyed their meals - one had soup and a salad and the other pasta. I had their pork entree and was disappointed as it was a little tough. We shared a bottle of wine. The total with tip for three of us was $162.

We expected a bit more based on recommendations. This small older venue was crowded, so some must think more of it that we did! Our salads were very nice, fresh and appreciated. We both ordered pasta dishes that sounded good on the menu, but neither were memorable in taste or presentation. Perhaps we expected more flair in San Francisco, but we have better in our small rural home town Arizona, and for less $ too!

What a nice place for breakfast. We had coffee and pastries which were to best outside Europe and such friendly staff. If only I had more time here to come again.

We walked to Rose's from Hotel Del Sol. Oscar recommended this place to us when we checked in. Food excellent and wine excellent. Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and food great! Would go back again and again!

We came here on a recent trip through recommendation of our B&B and were really happy with our experience. Food was excellent, service prompt and friendly! Totally recommend!

Short walk but a nice one through a neighborhood. Staff was very professional & friendly. Food was fresh and so good! Different from the traditional breakfast but still very good. The scone was outstanding! So fresh!!!

The breakfast here was really good, the lunch and dinner looked great too but I didn't have it. I had a delicious truffle egg dish with a chocolate croissant which was amazing, and toast with delicious strawberry jam. Their famous egg pizza looked great but unfortunately I didn't get to try it!

Arriving early we had no difficulty in getting a table. Perusing the eclectic breakfast options we had polenta with poached eggs and Yukon potato hash with poached eggs. Accompanied with a cappucinno and Americano, all delicious. It was unhurried and relaxed. Coupled with the tasty food and great staff, it was a perfect introduction to the culinary treasures of the city.

We stopped here for lunch upon the suggestion of Jay, our tour guide for the Victorian Home Walk through airbnb. He said it had become one of his new favorite places. We had been on a 2.0 hour walking tour with him, after walking 1.5 hours just to meet him at the appointed spot, so we were ready for a light bite and a chance to sit down after walking a total of 3.5 hours, including “skipping” through the the “Tenderloin” zone. (Not for everyone, but it will give you a wake up calling for the seriousness of homelessness and mental health issues, particularly in San Francisco. Kind of like being in one of the rings of Dante’s Inferno. Be glad you missed this trip.) We were immediately greeted at Rose’s Cafe by a young man who said it was fine to sit at the outdoor table I had already appointed myself at and he let us know our server would be Kay. Kay was as lovely as can be. As attentive and patient as one could be with two tired old souls. Worthy of adoption. We ordered the mussels (very good) and the vegetable soup (perfect). And a carafe of wine. It was cold and breezy, but we were instructed on how to turn on the heaters. Worthy of an afternoon visit. Ask for Kay.

Worth the wait, if necessary. Wonderful and interesting menu. Had the smoked salmon pizza and also eggs with polenta and sauce, yummy. Good bread (although you have to ask for it and it is extra; eggs not accompanied by bread). Good coffee. Good service in this French bistro like setting. I was solo and despite the crowds waiting to get in, I wasn't rushed after my 15 minute wait for a table. Just very nice in all ways to enjoy a good day's start. (I didn't have the mimosas or Bloody Marys, but they are possible!)

Found this gem while searching in SF for a brunch spot after a hike along the coast. We were seated quickly at a quaint table surrounded by citrus trees in containers. One of our group is vegan and although there's not a dedicated vegan dish, she was able to order a nice salad. The waiter was super sweet and brought out a beet salad as a curtesy - which was delicious. Between the 4 of us, we ordered chicken sandwich (delicious!), potato hash (my daughter's first experience with poached eggs) (again delicious) and a salad. We also ordered garlic fried potatoes - not French fries, but potato chunks fried perfectly with garlic and herbs. We will definitely return and remember this place!

A nice cafe to hang in Staff are very nice Top marks Well done to all that run this place Had a brilliant afternoon there

Had the French toast and my wife had chicken sausage. Great location outside with heater on rainy day.

We had a group of 6 and every dish was large enough to share at least for two. Meals we tasty and service was great. We were the first ones to arrive but shortly after our order the restaurant filled up so I suggest get in early. For those who just want pastry and coffee they have an assortment of 3 house baked goods for $8 and you can choose your cravings from their mouthwatering selection.

Love this place. I got some scramble eggs mixed with spinach on a bread and on top a slice of prosciutto, delicious. The home made granola delicious as well. The espresso very good. The place is cozy, nice decor.

A girlfriend and I celebrated our birthdays at Rose's. We started with wine, and I was impressed that they poured me a sample before I ordered, to make certain I enjoyed my selection. We shared very tasty food - the Buratta with Grilled Asparagus appetizer, the Chopped Salad with a very delicious Gorgonzola Vinaigrette, a Pear and Carmelized Onion Pizza and a Linguini with Clams entree. This is a small place, with comfortable decor and good service. Sidewalk dining is also available.

We stopped here for lunch while walking around the quaint little shops on Union Street. A great little find! Quite a varied menu, very friendly staff and the food was good. They have an pizza oven, and make the bases fresh, so we had pepperoni pizzas. Very nice!

I had 2 days in SF and my friend recommended Rose’s for breakfast / brunch. This place is adorable, staff super friendly and delicious food. On the next day decided to go back :). Good decision.

If you are looking for something besides bacon and eggs this is your place. Nice outdoor tables too. (Tiny cups of coffee though lol).

Decided I had to review it again because it was so disappointing, I had the eggs with sausage and polenta and my friend had the scrambled eggs with pesto. Neither of us could eat much of them. The eggs were so soaked with pesto you could not taste the egg and the pesto was overpowering. My polenta dish was huge and tasteless. The sausage was good- but the red sauce accompanying the dish did nothing for either the polenta, the eggs or the meat. We did have fast service for brunch time and our server was good. But I think it will be a long time before I try Roses again even though I really liked the ambience of the place and it was very conveniently located near the place I staying.

Had a special birthday dinner here. Welcoming ambiance, great service (by Lea and other staff), delicious dinner - had pork loin with polenta, husband had swordfish and son had a bolognese. Nice wine and beer selections. Delicious German Chocolate cake with Dulce de Leche ice cream and ruby port topped it all off for a fabulous birthday lunch.

We had breakfast al fresco and I had no choice but to order the Breakfast Pizza I mean how could you pass up the chance when you might never have one again! It was fab. We subsequently came back for dinner a few nights later and the food was delicious. Great place.

I stumbled on this restaurant/bistro by accident, after visiting the Trek bicycle shop across the street. Great corner spot throwing in the afternoon sun for free and with a nicely crafted menu, very friendly staff and a very local atmosphere. Linguini clams with one of the best dulce de lecche for desert ever.

But across the street from the house where Mrs Doubtfire was filmed is Roses cafe. It’s reasonably priced but very limited menu. Based on Italian flavours. Only stopped for a drink but the menu didn’t grab me. Staff were very friendly though

I had the roast chicken (from the pizza oven) which was crisp and juicy with a slight herbal butter flavor, absolutely delicious. Service very friendly and helpful. If I lived in San Francisco this would surely become one of my favorites:-)

The City, much like another top food destination, New Orleans, does not offer a lot high quality morning breakfast destinations, fine hotels not withstanding. My wife had purchased tickets for the post WW2 Abstract Expressionist exhibit at the de Young, and knowing I'd need to eat something substantial before taking on such a daunting task, I offered to take her to the very excellent Moma's in North Beach, another terrific breakfast destination. We hoped if we arrived as it opened at 8:00 PM we would avoid the usual rock concert line. Sadly, we were wrong. The line stretched the entire length of the block, at least 60 people standing in the fog waiting for maybe 20 tables. Oh well. We cruised the City but, other than hotels found nothing appealing until she remembered Rose's Café at Union and Webster. We found parking right away and waited about 10 minutes for a table, which may be some kind of record in SF. The interior very much resembles a storybook country inn. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. The nine-entree selection offered enough diversity to appeal to most anyone. We both thoroughly enjoyed the café latte served in a petit bol, wonderful favor and visually very pleasing. We ordered the Soft Scrambled Eggs with Spinach and Prosciutto and the Yukon Gold Potato Hash with Corn Beef and poached eggs, both well prepared. The hash plate is generous and particularly suited to those with larger appetites. So if you're looking for a good breakfast, and then maybe a stroll down the hill to the Marina, check out Rose's Café. We'll be back.

For those who miss Rose Pistola in North Beach, the same management runs Rose's Cafe and Terzo in the Cow Hollow. Rose's is a pretty cafe, recognizable from a distance by its yellow canopy. It offers patio seating as well. Several dishes from Rose Pistola are on Rose's menu. The way the menu is printed is sure to bring back memories of Rose Pistola. But Rose's has a personality of its own, with a different vibe, and is also known for its fresh bread. (You could come here just to buy their bakery.) It's a smaller place, and the bar is much smaller, and there isn't enough room for live music. The brunch is as special as Rose Pistola's, though. (Note that they don't accept reservations in the daytime.) The pizza, with its thin and smoky crust, is about as Roman as it can get without there being anchovies on it. You could request egg on your pizza, if you would like. This has to rank among the top pizzas in the city. The salads are fresh and of high quality. There's much more to savor, at this and other meal times... All in all, quality food - Italian/Tuscan with a Californian freshness.

Stopped in to this neighborhood restaurant on a busy Friday afternoon. Was expecting that by 2:00 or so in afternoon, the place would be fairly quiet, but it was still quite busy. This is a rather small restaurant, but it's clearly a local favorite! Rather than wait 20 minutes or more for a table we opted to sit at the small bar facing the kitchen. The restaurant has a somewhat eclectic menu featuring breakfast items, pizza, and a variety of sandwiches and salads for their lunch service. If you are looking for a fun mix of things for your group, this would be a great place to go. I had the roast turkey sandwich and it was good with a very nice cranberry compote. I wasn't real crazy about the brie cheese in the sandwich. Didn't seem to work well with the flavor of the turkey and the tanginess of the compote. However, my wife and daughter enjoyed their meals. The service was very good, with a variety of people all checking to make sure we were doing well and promptly offering refills on our soda's, and the food came out quickly. All in all, a good meal on a busy day. Everything was nicely done, but the food to me was simply very good, not on the excellent "wow" side. So a very good rating. I would definitely go there again.

Greeted by friendly staff- - place is ready for evening diners and very immaculate. The staff is very friendly. Everything was prepared to order. The food all fresh. Presentation excellent and flavorful. Very healthy menu and creative entrees. Pizza delicious salad outstanding, calamari superb, soup delicious. Looking forward to returning and definitely worth a visit.

Had a late lunch with a glass of wine today. I picked a margarita pizza with extra prosciutto. Verdict??? It eas the best pizza I have had since my visit in Florence a few years ago. Fantastico!!!

Dinner at Rose's Café was absolutely sensational! We had the grilled romaine salad, the salmon for my wife and the amazing roasted chicken for me and we shared the roasted cauliflower and the crispy polenta with mushrooms - everything was tasty and professionally served. Yes, we ordered too much food and had no room for dessert. Too bad - they looked awesome! Even the corkage fee was favorable - only $15 per bottle . . . great deal with a couple of great wine shops in the neighborhood. Go often and always - you won't be sorry!

Really nice food. Very hot and fresh and really friendly service. A great quick bite to eat in a very convenient location

Well we got off the tour bus at the painted ladies drop off. If you keep walking downhill away from there you get to the house used in the movie Mrs Doubtfire. As it was quite a hot day and despite walking downhill we were quite frazzled spotted this cafe for a quick hydration stop. Although we didn’t eat here the drinks were ok and a moderate selection to choose from. The staff member was really friendly even though we weren’t ordering food. We did look at the menu and my only criticism would be that the choice of dishes was quite limited and seemed more of a place for lunch and not dinner

We went to Rose's based on a recommendation from the Del Sol hotel where we were staying. Loved the food and the service. Would go there again!

We are glad to see that this place is still going strong. We ordered the french toast and granola. The french toast is not the typical kind. It is more like a thick piece of cake with sliced apples and whipped cream. Some people may not like it so be sure to ask for a description. The granola is excellent. They also have good coffee. Be ready to wait for a table.

Rose's offers a creative breakfast menu, great indoor/outdoor atmosphere, and excellent service. If you are looking for an escape from typical crowded SF tourist traps try this special neighborhood restaurant--and neighborhood--and you may begin to understand why people love this city.

We ate here once before but it has been awhile. We need to eat here more often! My roasted turkey sandwich was fantastic! Loads of roasted turkey, avocado & a spicy (but not too spicy!) mustard spread on fresh & toasted brioche bread. I'm still thinking about that sandwich!! The service was fast & friendly! And an added plus for us...it's dog friendly!!

May 23 We knew that both Union and Lombard St have many eateries for not only tourists, but the residents of the Marina and Pacific Heights. We asked one local walking her dog to recommend a breakfast resto. Rose's was her recommendation. The server was so friendly and attentive. When I ordered the pastry plate, she told me the options available that morning. The 3 pastries were more than I could comfortably eat. My wife had a unique French toast make from bread pudding. She absolutely loved this version. Go here for a satisfying meal.

We enjoyed a splendid brunch of scrambled eggs, spinach, cheese and prosciutto. Fantastic cappuccino. Sunny interior. Wait staff are friendly and fast. Researching my next book, "Cardiac Catch."

The cafe has its charm, but the food is really average. We ordered a turkey sandwich, hash brown with spicy cauliflower... the sandwich was bland and tasteless. Hash brown was ok. The café au lait is a total, failure, no coffee taste, just milk and coffee water. The service was average, I feel no one really care, was in a rush... will not recommend, there are so many chances in the area.

Once upon a time in SF, Rose's Cafe on Union st in the Cow Hollow district was the spot for breakfast / weekend brunch. It was unique way back when , to feature a breakfast pizza. Their decor was trendy for the time. The service and maitre D was efficient and friendly. Skip forward to the present and the decline in the past couple of years of this once beloved neighborhood eatery. Number one is the attitude of the maitre d / manager Jessy. Talk about letting a modicum piece of power going to ones head! As they say the fish stinks from the head down. The waitstaff has taken on his arrogance or is feeling the oppression under him. The food once really good has now an inconsistentency . Maybe the chef and cook staff also are effected by the moodiness of him.The decor is dated and that good ol' neighborhood feeling of belonging is gone. It's a real shame how one bad apple can spoil the bunch. Today ,there are so many restaurants on that block alone and on chestnut st. That Rose's cafe can't rely on what once was. I hope the owner is reading this and heeds to a call for action.

This is a charming little restaurant in Cow Hollow area of San Francisco. If you are looking for breakfast pastry you will find beautiful ones here. Try a breakfast pizza for fun. They are cooked in a pizza oven. The pizza here has a very nice crust. I took a star off cause the servers tend to not be personable. Second visit the guy was awesome. Being a server is more than taking the order and getting it to the table.

The servers are adorable. The dishes are good but not incredible, and you come away hungry. We were served rather quickly. The toilets are not clean.

The chicken was amazing. I ordered it when my friend who eats there regularly recommended it. I never had better! She ordered the tuna steak. Highly recommend this restaurant. All ages were there enjoying a nice dinner. Smaller, intimate restaurant.

We went here for a light dinner. It was so hot out and we just wanted to sit in air conditioning, but they didn’t have any. We wanted to sit outside with the cool breeze, but that was just for those who had reservations. We sat inside and it was hot, but our waiter served cold drinks right away and there was a cool breeze. It ended up being okay. I had the organic salad, and my son and husband had the margherita pizza and side of spinach. Everything was great. The ambience was wonderful and so was the staff. They had such a huge selection of drinks. I would definitely go back.

Hit the spot after a long weekend of partying. Scrambled eggs and spinach with mozzarella cheese was wonderful! Homemade pastries and breads added to the experience. Simple comfort food. Lots of options. Nice neighborhood setting. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

DOG FRIENDLY. Found this place under a search for doggie friendly Brunch in Union St/Cow Hollow. Nice setting with sidewalk tables and heat lamps (this IS San Francisco!) Early Brunch on Memorial Day, so not very busy and the service was excellent. A decent variety for Brunch and while no bar there are Mimosas and a pseudo Bloody Mary (yes, it has alcohol, relax...) Nice place to hang and be pseudo Euro. The Salmon Breakfast Pizza was wonderful. They have a killer looking pizza oven so I'm sure all things Pizza are yummo.

We turned up without a reservation, and we could only get a table outside. The heater was on, but it was quite cold. As soon as a table became available inside we were offered it. We ordered 4 different pastas and we enjoyed all of them. The bread and olive oil were a nice touch. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive.

Off the general tourist beaten track. Great breakfast. We were a table of 4 and shared a breakfast and a salmon pizza. Both were great and more than enough, with unlimited coffee, to start the day.

Love the concept of building the menu from whatever is bought at the farmers market and freshest. Organic fare, fantastic everchanging menu. Pizza was DELISH. I had the fish with white beans, top notch. The wine list was exceptional. The service was not acceptable. We were often forgotten outside, poured our own wine and long waiting.

I came here twice on my stay in San Francisco. My plan had been to have breakfast/brunch somewhere difference each day but I was so impressed the first time I wanted to come back. In short, the food is great, the service is great, the breakfast range is plentiful, diverse, interesting and creative (I only had their two breakfast pizzas but I saw other people's tables and the other options looked great too) and I would recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco. Due to the location, it is a particularly good choice if you are visiting the Walt Disney Museum, Golden Gate Bridge or Presidio area.

Excellent breakfast, orange juice freshly squeezed, scrambled eggs delicious, pastries fresh and gorgeous, coffee plentiful!

We came here for breakfast before going across the street to Neja for a haircut - recommended. We both had simple egg dishes and WOW. The potato scramble with two pieces of toast was superb. There is a breakfast pizza, yes, a breakfast pizza. Delicate ham, thin toasted crust, perfect cheese and two eggs baked on top. Coffee great and even the side of toast was made from terrific bread. I will be returning, can't hold me back. I hear lunch and dinner are wonderful as well.

We ended up here because it was a Monday and this was one of the few on our list that was open. The food was good, although it would have been nice if there were more lunch selections and maybe something seasonal. I had the polenta (really good) with sausage (dry) and poached eggs. Service was good...first cup of coffee was cold but replaced quickly. This is a solid neighborhood place, just Not someplace I would recommend for a special lunch.

Have been here many times and is good go to spot. While there's nothing special about the food the quality is always consistent

The decor, location and possibility to sit outside are the best things about Rose's. The Union street neighborhood is very nice. You will find a mix of locals and tourists. I found the food average and the service cheery but slow. It is a popular place so I can forgive the slow service. I had a pot of Earl Grey tea and potato hash. The latter was pretty bland. My colleague had oatmeal. Prices are a little steep but reasonable for San Francisco. So good but not great is my short synopsis

Local hang out. Must be patient for week end brunch. Friendly service. The very best croissants in the city ... Great coffee... Expensive tea. Love it. This is a real city hang out. If you are going with kids go early. Can be noisy inside. Great outside seating in nice weather--- rather rare in San Francisco. A treasure!

There is usually a bit of a wait if you go on weekends but they move through people quickly. I love coming here for breakfast whenever I am staying in the Marina District, it is a nice walk up to Roses and I would do anything for their smoked salmon pizza or their polenta and sausage. It is a great breakfast spot for friends and family, or for an upbeat breakfast date on a sunny day.

Love Rose's for its consistent quality and good service. Always fresh ingredients and a wonderful selection of salafs snd entrees. A locavore dpot and especially long wait for Sunday brunch.

Dine outside in the cozy patio. Great food and service. Pasta was delicious and all dishes served at the same time and hot.

Fun and friendly spot on Union St in Cow Hollow. The pizza oven was in full use for breakfast items that smelled heavenly. Small brunch menu but a nice variety. I had the spinach eggs with prosciutto and toast, which really hit the spot. Nice selection of coffee and teas and a cute outdoor (dog-friendly) patio.

Always a charming and positive experience at the Rose Cafe - brunch, lunch, dinner or a spot of mid afternoon flaneur-ing. Such is the perspective from the outside pavement terrace - neatly situated between planters. A gem in Cow Hollow / Marina.

We decided to head here on the off-chance that it would be a bit different. We are delighted that we gave it a go. The food was fantastic and there was something there to suit all tastes. The menu has been very thoughtfully put together and both food and drinks are absolutely beautiful. The service was friendly too. We will definitely return to see if lunch and dinner match up to breakfast - I suspect that they will!

Nipped in here for breakfast with my dad as we were passing by. The service was very friendly and quick. Food was excellent! The pollenta with poached eggs were superb and the breakfast pizza was certainly different! Nice homely feel and not too pricey neither. Keep up the good work!

Creative menu. Delicious dishes. Friendly staff. No waiting for food to arrive. Large portions. Recommend highly.

I visited this restaurant with my family. As I entered the restaurant I could tell the server didn't want to help a group of 8 people. I told her we could be split up and have 2 tables of 4. This also seem to be a problem as they said they could not take care of us at that time I noticed several Empty Tables with seating for 4 very disappointed.

Having skipped lunch (shopping? walking? talking?) our stomachs suddenly growled around 3:30 p.m. and we found ourselves near to Rose's. A fortuitous coincidence, as it turned out, because the food was excellent and the service attentive. Our foursome spanned the menu with the breakfast pizza (ham & eggs on a thin crust), a turkey sandwich, a spinach salad with chicken, and a fried egg with bacon, spinach & gruyere sandwich. All were fresh, didn't cost the world and delicious. Soon it was 1/2 price wine at the 4:30 p.m. happy hour, which made an excellent meal even better. Highly recommended if you are in Cow Hollow.

this is our second time here... last time the breakfast pizza was great, but too much food. This time, a couple of other dishes, and very enjoyable. outside tables have heaters, a must for SF.

I had hoped the owner of Rose's Cafe had read my review back in January for constructive advise. I went again with a party of 7 . The maitre d was the same guy as before, (Jesse) I said with a welcoming smile Hello, To my dismay and the other 6 visiting people in my party as he scowled and dismissed us. If I was by myself or with only one other I would have left immediately ! But with 7 people you don't leave. He set the unpleasant tone for the meal. His nastiness has translated to some of the staff . The food is average, the prices aren't cheap and no one needs to be treated as if you are doing THEM a favor by eating there. NO MORE CHANCES for this restaurant for me. I poled other's that I once reccomended Rose's too and they all had a negative comment.

We were recommended to go to Rose's by our host. There was a wide range of dishes, but we maybe chose the wrong ones for our tastes. Quite expensive too.

Roses is quite the marina staple for brunch. They're known for their breakfast pizzas and to be completely honest, probably their instagramable patio seating. Gorgeous marble tables and hazelnut lattes make you feel like your in Paris. Expect a wait, especially Sunday's after church gets out. Best time to go is weekdays. In my opinion there's yummier spots for brunch in the neighborhood, but you won't be disappointed by Roses. Just not worth the hour long Sunday wait.

A neighborhood classic, little has changed in many years. And let's keep it that way! Great outdoor seating. Wish the indoors had better ventilation. Always enjoyable.

Daughter brought me here. Nice greeting & very good service. I had their Potato Hash & Poached Eggs (ordered "soft"). Hash was remarkably good, eggs cooked perfectly. Fresh Orange Juice, excellent coffee. A VERY nice breakfast.

Went here on a recommendation from our VRBO hosts during our 3-day stay in San Francisco. Had the chopped salad with Gorgonzola dressing..divine! Oh and added the grilled chicken. My husband had the poached eggs and sausage on polenta with the tomatoes. He said it was wonderful also! Fast service and authentic little bistro. Great place!

Wow! What a gem of a brunch place. The best cappuccino I’ve had in years. Staff warm and respectful. Food high quality, filling yet creative in European bistro setting with Italian glass lighting, marble countertops, tiled flooring and delicious aromas for a satisfying Sunday. Only thing missing was my unique friend who was struck by flu. Highly recommend.

Came with the group of friends. Shared 4 meals. My Burger was solid, big portions. Breakfast pizza was really good and sausage with polenta and poached egg was good, we found sausage little dry. Garlic potato amazing.

I was on my own in SF for a few days and found Rose's Cafe on another traveler's blog. My waitress was as sweet and helpful as she could be. And the food was great. Not too big but plenty for a day of walking. Coffee was good and she brought me refills often. It is crowded. But since I was willing to sit outside I got a table straight away. They have heaters and it was lovely out so it worked out perfect.

For a small restaurant in suburban San Francisco this is a delight in many ways. The atmosphere was great, efficient and very friendly staff and the lunch menu very appealing. Special mention goes to the steamed mussels, don’t miss them.
Super cozy
Delicious dinner in a cozy place. Special attention for the superb starter with figs, parma and blue cheese. The zafron risotto is fantastic.
