After a long day of work, my colleague and i just wanted a good meal. Thank God the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown has a hip restaurant called the Rowdy Tiger. We ate here almost our whole stay. My favorite meal was the Low Country Cioppino. It is usually served with shrimp, but i am allergic to shrimp. Our very friendly waitress “Mimi” made sure no shrimp was added. They added salmon instead and it was just yummy. The fork tender bourbon short ribs are also really good.

My wife and I try to visit a different restaurant each year as a Christmas present to each other. We found the Rowdy tiger online and was curious because of the name. We made reservations and arrived to discover that it was the same site we visited last year with a new name, new chef and new menu. We order from the lunch menu and was pleasantly surprise at the quality of food. It was GREAT! Auroa was an excellent server and we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Its Covid 19 time and so they are only open for quick stuff- we had their French toast- it was sort of French toast - very little egg I think- but tasty,. Mostly I would get their bagel and cream cheese and coffee - both of which were good. You will need to try them when they have a full menu again- but that will be post Covid 19 and who knows when that will be?

Went to enjoy brunch with the gals and was happy to find it was not very busy, at least not until some time after we were seated. Since COVID is taking the blame on most everything, I'm going to blame the slow service on COVID. They were clearly short-staffed. The hostess served us and brought us water since our server had not appeared. When our server finally arrived, she took our drink orders, and offered free appetizers to make up for the wait. Clearly, ginger ale, Sprite, and Sierra Mist are hard to come by because there was none on the premises. The manager "went to go get some" ginger ale, but clearly one glass was the limit because no one ever offered a refill. In fact, there were no refills on anything...ginger ale, coffee, spirits...none of it! In all fairness, though, half of our group did get water refills, but just once. On the bright side, the free apps (Bourbon Molasses Wings and Deviled Eggs) were great...and not just because they were free. Our meals were delicious, once they arrived. The food was hot and tasted great! Chicken and waffles were a hit! One gal in our group got dessert. The rest of us might have wanted to get some, but we weren't asked. That was OK, though, because after 30 min, it still hadn't come out, so she asked for it to be boxed to go. The ambience is wonderful, the restaurant is clean, but they just need to hire more staff to be able to provide more timely service to customers. We were promised free drinks on another visit, so we'll try again in the near future.

My wife, daughter, her boyfriend and I had brunch here on a Sunday. My wife and I shared a burger and a fried chicken sandwich. They were both very good. They had some good breakfast alternatives also we just weren't in the mood for breakfast.

Fantastic shrimp and grits! I was extremely impressed with the venue, the vibe, the unique methods the chef uses for his dishes. I will definitely be coming back.

Briana gave top tier service! I loved her specialty cocktail Ms. Ann. It was light, refreshing and full of flavor.I will definitely be returning.

I came here last night with my mans and we split the pan roasted mussels and fried green tomato caprese, upon recommendation from Miss Aurora. Now the food went off, but what really made the experience was our server. She was so attentive and helpful and made us feel right at home. This was our first time at the restaurant and will definitely not be the last! We came here for our 6 month anniversary dinner and chile was it worth the trip! The whiskey choices she recommended (I don't remember names lol) were bomb, I don't even like whiskey like that, but it went down smooth and had my mans all over me, so it was good in my book ;) Miss A, as we called her, even recommended things for us to do in Atlanta, and we ended up going to one of the dance clubs she told us about, after. Rowdy Tiger we'll see y'all soon, and please have Miss Aurora for us again lol! -Giyon & Deonte

I can't vouch for the food here, as I only had whiskey and cocktails. As expected, the whiskey selection is fantastic, with a wide variety. Flights are gladly poured (although the wait staff isn't necessarily versed on the whiskey at all...but, of course, the bartenders are). Since this also functions as a hotel bar/restaurant, it does tend to fill up in the evening. I didn't have the chance to visit the rooftop since it was closed (seasonally), but the decor downstairs was bright and inviting. And, of course, you can expect a good old fashioned here, as well!

The restaurant has the best freshest salads. Johnny the Bar Tender and Tony the Server were great! Johnny went above and beyond to help our "cousin get-together" visit be super special!

We hosted my sister’s rosé themed bridal shower here last month and it was simply fabulous. I was a little nervous because it was suppose to rain but the staff was very accommodating. Carolyn and her guys are amazing. My sister loved it!!! We had a great view with a a nice ambiance and music drinks and the menu change was an added plus. The food was great and we actually ran out so I had the opportunity to try some other menu items and the shrimp wraps get 2 thumbs up. The crafted signature cocktail was the BEST!!!! I will definitely

Went to Rowdy Tiger for a walking Atlanta food tour. Had the whiskey peach smash and it was AWESOME! Then had the shrimp and grits. Holy cow. We will be going back there just for those. Thanks Chef Mike!

If you miss the Rowdy Tiger you would have missed southern hospitality and food as it best. A place that you will remember.

Best service I’ve ever had ima come back here only because of her. The drinks were also pretty good.

Our dinner on the patio at the Rowdy Tiger was delicious and wonderful, thanks to the great service and awesome recommendations by our great server, Raymond. It was a Friday evening and there was even live music inside. A very easy, satisfying, fun experience. Thanks, Rowdy Tiger!

Typical hotel restaurant menu. Few guests upon arrival. Placed order for two dinner salads. Service abominably slow. Twenty minute wait for our easy to prepare salads. Salads were plentiful and fresh. Price points are what you would expect for a downtown location.

The service, food, and experience were all second to none. Our server, Tony, provided what is hands down the most genuine, engaged, and enjoyable dining experience I have ever experienced. He treated us as old friends and made recommendations on the menu and drink menu that perfectly aligned with our tastes. I cam not recommend this location more highly!

I love this place it’s as simple as that. My wife and I have been coming here for almost 2 years. It was a different name before, but the best of the best menu items still remain and even a couple new delicious breakfast items have been added. The decor is great and many times I come here there isn’t a lot of people in here. The breakfast and brunch is great and we have come for dinner a few times. We usually come here every weekend and I’m a sucker for the crafted platter. Though I like to keep the brunch low key I think those who enjoy a good brunch spot would find this place fits the bill. The picture I’ve added is the short rib Benedict... yum!

We went to have cocktails and apps. Bobby was such a delightful surprise. My old fashioned was fantastic with the spiced apple crisp! I will definitely return!

Ridiculously slow service. Had to ping servers several time. Food was adequate at best. Maybe this is staffing but avoid going here for now

Rowdy Tiger is the restaurant connected to Renaissance Hotel in Midtown. There is free valet parking comped for 3 hours by Renaissance hotel. The service is great and the servings are big. You get your money’s worth here. I liked the she crab soup and the Brussel sprouts. I’ll be back.

I had such a great time at the bar in this place. The bartender Johnny was very attentive and made sure our experience was cool. He has a nice sense of humor! I’ll recommend this place to anybody.

Thank you Ashley and team for the great service! One of the best Angus hamburgers I ever had. Also, surprised to be able to taste different wheat beers.

This whiskey bar is great for several reasons, so glad they are [safely] open for business. Sparkling clean, easy to social distance but still maintain a festive upbeat atmosphere. Alex the bartender is extremely professional and friendly - definitely contributes to the positive ambiance.

Had s great time catching up with friends over appetizers and craft cocktails! I love the swanky vibe and rooftop!! I will definitely be back!

We left the Fox Theatre after another fantastic Alvin Ailey show and headed to this restaurant...the name got our attention then we realized that we had dined here when it had a different name. Little did we know that we were in for a Fantastic dining experience! Our server, Tony is the BEST!!! He is polite, funny, engaging and very helpful. We took his lead- started with those tasty cornbread muffins then had deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes, poutine, cobb salad, Bourbon burger & the Short ribs!!! Then for dessert- the bread pudding & panna cotta! We each had a to-go bag of leftovers!!! This joint is Jumping with good music, excellent service and food! Can't wait to return and will tell my friends too.

I arrived early for check-in and decided to dine at the Rowdy Tiger for lunch. Bora greeted me at the bar and service was impeccable. Coming back tonight! - Rod

The food? Absolutely amazing. The atmosphere? Fantastically warm. What really made our night? Our waiter Tony was the most wonderful and joyful part of the experience. He was so funny, excellent recommendations, and we will return only to sit in his section. Hell yeah, Rowdy Tiger!

Good quality brunch food without the hour wait! My husband and I started frequenting this place on weekends for their great brunch selections when the restaurant was called Community Smith. Rowdy Tiger serves many of our old favorites but also added a new dish or two. We loved the new Brisket Benedict. Our favorite servers, Ricardo and Mahelet, are so accommodating and friendly. Great spot!

My friend and I made reservations for brunch on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, anticipating it would be super busy with all of the activities going on in Atlanta. To our surprise, when we arrived, no one was at the hostess stand. We had to go find a server who took a few minutes to seat us and wait on us. Our mimosas were heavy on champagne and light on OJ, but not cold. The food was flavorful, but lukewarm. I had the Rowdy Tiger omelet with breakfast potatoes and toast. My friend's chicken and waffle and side of gouda grits was average. In times of Covid, I know things are tough and they were short-staffed, but the food could have been better and at least hot. We had such high expectations and they weren't really met. Not sure if I'd give it another try for brunch or any other meal.

First off - "rooftop bar" is accurate, but the rooftop is the third floor of a small building with MUCH TALLER buildings surrounding it. So there isn't a view or anything. Breakfast was not that good. My omelette was overcooked (browned) and stayed surprisingly hot (inedibly hot) for a long, long time. Potatoes were beautifully crisp and puffy -- and far too salty. Griddle cakes were alright - but the little pile of sugar (not powdered sugar) in the center wasn't on the meny and was too much. Big T's breakfast is too much. Giant pile of pulled pork for breakfast? Unappetizing appearance and just too much. And I don't know what the story was with the milk for the coffee -- it absolutely didn't mix with the coffee that way it should. We asked for fresh milk, and the "I just opened this one" round two was the same. It didn't taste wrong, but it was, again, unappetizing.

Went during the week again for breakfast. the food was on point. Service is always great and the main reason i come back. I love sitting at the bar!

We stopped in for a quick breakfast bite and this place is awesome! Great food and service. Nejat was a doll and super helpful! Coming back for dinner tonight and can’t wait to try some of their whiskeys. This place is awesome!

I used to stay here a lot before COVID, I fell in love with the bar, amazing whiskey selection and such creativity for the bar staff. So amazing to see that Nicole is still mixing it up, made me feel like old times. I do have to be honest through, What happened to the food? This used to be a gastronomic adventure, and now……not so much. Asparagus salad? Horrible, who’s idea was that? Not withstanding, but can we get another option for a salad, too much to ask for a little leafy green? Entire menu is very small and does not look appetizing at all, very blasé, nothing special. The prices have gone up but the value has dipped significantly. And what’s with the fish spread? That was bad. Get a drink, definitely, but don’t eat here, plenty of chooses down the street.

Came here with my mom friends and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant and rooftop were recently remodeled and they look amazing! Food and service were great and we all had a great time. Will definitely be back. Kudos to the manager!

I really enjoyed coming here the other day I was the only customer and usually at restaurants this is when employees tend to slack but I was probably greeted by the bartender and was provided great service unfortunately I don’t remember his name but it was a Asian gentleman I had the she crab soup which was delicious and a burger that was cooked to perfection definitely gonna have to come here again and next time have some drinks.

Male bartender was incredibly rude. We had intended to have dinner but left after drinks instead. Watched him yell at a waitress for trying to help us. Terrible.

Excellent lunch with Briana. Great food and atmosphere. Amazing bourbon selections. Club sandwich and side salad were both very tasty.

We first stayed at the Hotel where Rowdy Tiger is located 2 years ago and the service in the restaurant was fantastic. There we were served by Mahelet. We were so excited when we returned last week and she was there and remembered us. That is service. And let me say we ate three meals in the restaurant and all were excellent. The breakfast is fantastic. We also enjoyed a lovely light evening meal and it was great too. When in mid-town Atlanta stop in, you won't be sorry. And Say Hi to Mahelet for me :)

After a long day of meetings I stopped by the bar and had an amazing time. Raymond was an phenomenal bartender and made the best whiskey sour the level of service was perfect.....kudos.

Walter and Maisha will take good care of you. Whether or not you are solo or with a big group, they will take care of you like you’re family. Stop in whether you’re local or just visiting Atlanta for whatever reason and you’ll have a good experience.

My daughter and I popped in before a long tour of Georgia Tech and the breakfast was huge and delicious! She had the famed banana pancakes and they were outstanding! I loved the avocado toast too. The restaurant is beautiful and we would return for dinner just to try it because it promises to be delicious and fun. The service was also excellent!

Recently went here because we heard they have good cocktails. They proved to have some good cocktails but also provided a dining experience in the rooftop igloos! The food was delicious and Ariel and Jasmine provided great service!

Excellent she crab soup and nice rooftop patio for sitting out and enjoying the evening sunset. Easy walking distance if staying in midtown.

Wow! What a place. We came in on a slower Monday for dinner as only a handful of people were eating inside. We sat down and were greeted by a very professional yet sarcastically funny server Tony. We told him it was our first time in and made some amazing recommendations. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomato caprese. The deviled eggs were ok and a bit pricey but oh my lord that caprese! I am a fan of a regular caprese dish but these were phenomenal. The crisp tomatoes paired with the creamy and almost oozing burrata cheese were dancing in my mouth. It was so tasty that I also ate the mixed greens underneath that I’m almost positive were just a garnish. The executive chef, named Christina, came out to see how the apps were and we completely raved. She asked us what brought us in and we told her we were celebrating having just bought a house and heard good reviews of the place. We were unknowingly sent some homemade cornbread that was only describable as savory, soft, and satisfying. My wife ordered the bourbon short ribs. Tender, juicy, and melted in your mouth. The red mashed potatoes were so creamy and delicious that I almost considered trading her plate for mine. Almost. I on the other hand ordered the sea bass and requested my shrimp to be blacked as Tony had recommended to me. The fish was seared perfectly and remained both succulent and firm. The country boil it sat on was so delicious that I asked for more bread so I could suck up all the sauce that was left. I thought we were out for the count. But chef Christina has also sent us out a dessert. In comes the croissant bread pudding. Magical I tell you! Absolutely magic. I don’t have many pictures of the food tonight but I will share the only two I have. I highly recommend coming to eat here. I know we will be back to try some of the other hidden gems on this menu.

this place is the best! Cristobal made our experience so with it and we literally want to come back to just have him. he is the best!

The title is absolutely the best thing about the bar. My family definitely ordered these a few times during our stay. The atmosphere is very chic and well layed out. It is a relaxed placed. The second best thing was a jalapeno drink that the bartender made me. I wish I could remember the name of it. But if you feel adventurous ask the bartender for the jalapeno drink. You will not be disappointed. The bartender was nice enough. But I was at a table of four. We ordered four drinks an order of fries and one order of the Bourbon wings. We got everything except the wings, which is what I brought my family members in there for. He forgot to put in the order. That is the only reason I gave this place four stars. But stop in get the bourbon wings and hang out for a bit.

Stayed at the hotel and the best part was the bar staff. Especially Alex. He was funny and entertaining even while busy. Excellent bourbon menu. Try the poutine!!!

I was skeptical with the restaurant being attached to the hotel. Newly remodeled and great chicken and waffles. Walter provided great recommendations and service.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Rowdy Tiger. I didn't realize the restaurant was adjacent to the Renaissance hotel in Midtown. The food was absolutely amazing (had braised beef, mussels, and pork chop). Our server, Tony, put the experience over the top. He was soooo personable and attentive to our every need. He was extremely knowledeable about the menu and made great suggestions based on our preferences. He was funny and engaging as well. At the end of the night, he took a beautiful photo for us on the staircase. Absolutely heightened our experience. The restaurant has wonderful spacing among the tables, so you can interact with your party without a ton of noise. After dinner, the rooftop was available for drinks, so we experienced that as well. A great place for an evening out.

I was in ATL for business last week and stayed in Midtown and discovered Rowdy Tiger and I’m so glad I did. Over the course of my time in the city I had the pleasure of dining at Rowdy tiger 4 times. Twice for dinner and twice for breakfast. At dinner, Tony was my server both times. Not only did he remember my name when I returned but also what cocktail I wanted. The second visit there was a bad storm and they lost power, Tony wasn’t phased at all. He handled the situation with humor and ease. He is one of those servers who makes you not only remember a place but want to return again and again! The food was equally as amazing! The cauliflower Mac and cheese and the pork chop were highlights for me. The menu has a great selection and I wish I had had more time to com again to try other dishes. I can’t wait to return to rowdy tiger when I’m back in the ATL!

I love this new concept and the atmosphere. If the weather is nice ask to sit on the rooftop as they have a space for everyone! The food is also fantastic. They have a new Chef here and she puts out great food every time. I'm definitely going to be a regular here!!

Overcharged for a single drink at the bar. The manager seemed to be more interested in arguing than customer service. No explanation other than “Customer is wrong”.

It was the first time for us being here and we were really pleased. The service is a bit slow but they are kind. The food is good and flavorful.

I went here for Valentine's Day with my husband and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had made reservations for 7 pm and was seated upon arrival. The restaurant is located in the Renaissance Hotel on West Peacthree. They do have valet parking, but we parked along the street since we were familiar with Midtown. They sat us at a reserved table located at the edge of the bar area. The place is very lively and nice. One of the bartenders came to our table and was not sure if she was going to be waiting on us or one of the servers, but she took our drink order. They offered a Valentine's Day Special for $59 per person consisting of the choice of 3 appetizers, 5 main dishes and 3 desserts as well as an introductory glass of champagne. We both chose to start with the special. We started with the charcuterie board and fried green tomato caprese. Both were excellent, especially the charcuterie board. My husband had the filet mignon and seafood dish and I had the scallops. Both were good, but the scallops were quite large and delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse cake and bread pudding. The bread pudding was huge and amazing. The service was great and the food was so good, overall. We definitely plan on coming back.

Went here for brunch twice and once for happy hour. Brunch menu had several unique items including chicken & waffles, breakfast burrito, omelettes, French toast, and Georgia Pecan pancakes. Everything was delicious. Happy hour was good as well, especially if you like bourbon, as they have quite an extensive bourbon selection (some of which are difficult to find).

Awesome food and atmosphere! We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of having Alex as our bartender. Hands down one of the best bartenders we have ever met! Tasty drinks and exceptional service! Thank you Alex. We will definitely be back soon!

I work in venture capital and hosted our Annual Dinner with over 25 investors, CEO's, and partners. Okan Hazar (Director) did a wonderful job. He was very helpful and professional. Always replying to my emails right away, very professional and with the greatest attitude. All he said to me was not to worry. I must admit, I did worry because it was the first time we hosted our dinner at Rowdy Tiger. I must say, Okan did an excellent job and the food was great! Auldrick, Chris and our waiters also did a wonderful job. The food was so tasty! I highly recommend them and will definitely go back!

It was nice to have this restaurant in our hotel. We met a fellow colleague here and had a nice dinner one night. We all had salads and appetizers and everything was good. The service was good and the manager stopped by to say hi. The midtown area of Atlanta has a lot of new places and is right by Georgia Tech. Had a lot of fun at my conference.

I travel to Atlanta a lot for work and often find myself at Rowdy Tiger for food and drinks. The service is always outstanding, whether it's breakfast or dinner, and the bar selection is great. The staff really makes an effort to make you feel welcome. There's at least four of them I know by name and who recognize me, always greeting me with a big smile and making me feel welcome. Stop in and say hello, you won't be sorry. Highly recommended.

First time coming here. Enjoyed yummy wine n dessert with my girl friend. I love the atmosphere of this place. Our server Aurora was so polite, sweet, and fast as well!

I love when you come to a place where the staff serving you understands how your food was prepared. We were very happy ordering here as the staff helped illustrate the meal. The she-crab soup was devine and the entrees were prepared well.
Breakfast- INCREDIBLE
Best breakfast of my life. Service 10/10 from Mahelet. She had at least 10 tables but was everywhere. My coffee was always hot & water refilled. Food came out quick & was hot. She was always super friendly. Goaley made my food. Perfectly made. Eggs over easy, toast, bacon & potatoes. Bacon was crispy but not burnt. Elite cooking. He also personally came out to see how it was. Incredible touch by a cook Food + people. Already looking forward to eating breakfast here again tmw
