Its a okay place, with good food. Nothing extraordinary though. Rate wise, its a little overpriced. Mixed Flat noodles were good. Their Red thai curry n rice seems a good choice at all times for lunch or dinner. Taste wise, the dumplings were not so good and the portions were too small for the price. The USP of this place is, that they do home delivery, which is very convinient at times. Staff is good and friendly! I will sure go back, but very once in a while, when I really run out of choices.

Royal Thai never disappoints. Even dishes that one would think couldn't be all that special, like chicken fried rice, are amazingly good. This time of year, mango and sticky rice dessert is in season and a must have.

Needed a good place to cure my Thai cravings after my return from Thailand. While it wasn't the best, it did the trick.

Good food with prompt service and a genuine atmosphere. Lunch menu is moderately priced, a bit busy, which is good, meaning that it's popular.

We do take away here all the time when we feel like having Thai food. Our favorite is the Basil fried rice which is full of flavor. Service is fast and price is reasonable.

Sunday lunch. Royal Thai offers decent, but unexciting food, in a quiet, well appointed dining room. Given the number of thai places in Dallas and their inventive offerings, Royal Thai really needs to step up their game. My Chicken Cashew Delight was OK, but was flavorless and largely colorless except for a few carrots. A companion was pleased with her pineapple fried rice, and another's pork noodle dish was average and really didn't look fresh. A house salad was very average except for the peanut dressing that's really quite good. Prices are slightly below a PF Chang. Note: the restaurant doesn't open until noon on Sunday. Service was pleasant and attentive. It's been 5+ years since my last visit. I'm good for at least another five.

I LOVE Royal Thai! They serve the best fried rice in the area! Great customer service and $5 cocktails during happy hour (5-7 M-F I think, I can't remember exact times. Sweet accommodating staff and good atmosphere :)

I go here with girlfriends at least once a month. We usually share appetizers but have also tried their entrees. Everything is good but the crispy calamari is the best I've had anywhere & the tulip dumplings are yummy!!! Try to go early if going for lunch. They do a big lunch business!!

This was the first time i ate Thai and it was absolutely amazing. I Have yet to find another place in Dallas that matched the level of quality this place has.

Although it was a Saturday night, and the restaurant was busy, we did not have much of a wait, since the restaurant is quite large. The service was fast and very attentive. The quality of the food was excellent--one order of spring roll appetizers was more than adequate for three people. The prices, especially for the amount and quality of the food were quite reasonable.

Located on Greenville Avenue Royal Thai was a great surprise. It was highly rated by D magazine and it more than met my expectations. The special was Tangerine Chicken which I had them make at Thai 5 spice. Perfect mix of sweet and spice. We had a group of 11 and everyone loved their entrees. The highlight of the appetizers were the "corn patties". Do not miss out on this place. If I lived in Dallas it would be on my regular rotation of Restaurants!

We recently had a great dinner at the Royal Thai. We arrived around 5:45PM on a Saturday and were seated immediately. The real treat of the meal was the dessert: Sweet Sticky Rice with Thai Coconut Ice Cream -- absolutely delicious!

We had just started venturing into Thai food and discovered Royal Thai. The wait staff is always attentive and when we began eating there and didn't know a thing about Thai food they were very pleasant and helped us discover new things. One of my favorite things on the menu at Royal Thai is the Crab Meat Fried Rice ($11.95), there's always plenty to take home for later. I also love their Spicy Noodles ($9.50) and Pad Thai ($10.50). I love the Tom Kha Gai, which is an appetizer of tart and spicy chicken soup with galanga, lemongrass, mushrooms, tomato, coconut milk & chili paste. You can order a huge bowl that will serve your entire table for $7.95 or an individual portion for $3.95. My husband prefers the chicken satay as an appetizer ($6.95). We've never had a bad meal there.

Food taste ok, worst service I've ever had with a Chinese restaurant. I ordered take out. They said it will take 20 minutes, I went in there and waited for another 19 minutes finally went to them asked for a refund whether they were preparing it or not. I will never go back again.

This restaurant has a beautiful northern Thai decor. They ambience is wonderful, cozy but not outdated. Just beautiful. Smelled so good once you walk in. Enjoyed the steamed dumplings and the hot sizzling plate. Will explore more next visit.

I had the royal curry, the bowl of curry was huge and then given a small side of rice in comparison. My curry was more broth and onions than anything else. I was overall disappointed and there are several other thai restaurants in the area that hit the spot a bit more so. The service was great!

We came here after a long "cold" day in Dallas and we were ready for some soup. We ordered Tom Kha Gai and the Tom Yahm Goong along with Spring Rolls. The soups were just unbelievably flavorful, hot and so very good. The Spring Rolls were equally good. The atmosphere was lively and the service was simply spectacular and very friendly.

I like their red curry dish a lot. Not too spicy and the curry sauce is just perfect. Very good service. The atmosphere is nice and clean, very unique Thai design. They also have a patio, just to enjoy the weather.

I've been going here for years, and this is always a go to restaurant when I have family or friends in town. It's a hidden gem with it being along a shopping center on Greenville Avenue. They don't take reservations; however, if you go during the week or for lunch on the weekend, there isn't much of a wait. The menu is extensive, and the staff is very professional and friendly. The lovely decor on the inside makes this place feel very special. Food is delicious! Hands down some of the best Thai food I've ever had. I get so filled up with the appetizer and the entrees that I have never had dessert here, but I'm sure it's delightful.

Another Thai place that is good every time and never disappointed me. Not the best I have ever had. Been going here for years, mostly at lunch time. Great lunch special. Good atmosphere. Parking can be a pain at peak lunch time.

If this restaurant is new to you, remember that it is to the back of shopping area it is in and does not have a lot of signage. Reasonably priced, varied luncheon selections. While food is tasty, it is never spicy enough for our tastes. We go here every few weeks.

Love the Lemon Grass soup! I eat there every time I am in Dallas. Staff is very good. Food Excellent.

While the service is very good, I think the food is alright. Their lunch special comes with a choice of either salad or soup and an eggroll. I always choose their salad with peanut dressing. I had a plate of flat noodle stir fried with egg, broccoli, beef, and soy sauce. It's just alright. The taste could be better. My friend loved her Tiger Cry dish: sticky rice served with flank steak. I'll come back to try their other dishes.

My wife and I ate there today for lunch. We had the Tom Yahm Goong (Tom Yum) soup, and the Noodles Lui Suan (Lettuce wraps). We were very happy with both. I would have preferred a few more carrots, or some other veg such as bean sprouts for the lettuce wraps, though the chicken was plentiful. I graded both appetizers a B. Cindy had the Swimming Angel which is a wonderful chicken in peanut sauce! The sauce was completely different than any I have ever tasted before as it had spinach in it, and a mild smoky under-taste. It was outstanding. The only drawback was that I did not order it as well! I stole as much as I could though from Cindy! I ordered the Scallop Plik Paow which was also very good. It did not have the dramatic impact of the Swimming Angel as I have tasted many dishes that tasted like this scallop dish. While there was certainly nothing wrong with it, there was also nothing unique. I would grade it a B. Our server was Isara. He was knowledgeable about the menu, very pleasant to chat with, and did a great job. Our drinks were never empty, and he checked back often to make sure we were OK, but not so much as to interrupt our meal, or be an annoyance. Terrific server!! After lunch we enjoyed a bowl of Thai coconut ice cream. It was odd as I thought it tasted more of pistachio than coconut, but regardless, it was a PERFECT end to a delicious meal. The restrooms were clean and tidy. That is always important to me as I feel if the restrooms are kept clean, then the kitchen probably also displays the same level of pride in cleanliness. I have a new favorite Dallas restaurant, and cannot wait to return!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Dallas. I usually get the Panag Curry with chicken, and compared to any other Thai restaurant in Dallas it is by far the best. Lots of chicken, great flavor, just the right amount of spice. Other favorites are the chicken fried rice, spring rolls, and Pad Thai. The decor is great too, it is more upscale than the typical Thai resturaunt, but they don't charge more, and are not snooty.

I liked the dim sum also known as dumplings but the pad thai was not good, it seemed like it was overcooked and the shrimp had a fishy smell. Waitress was good though, she checked on us during our meal.

'Yelp' readers love this place. Me, not so much. The food had very little color and taste. I had steamed vegetables and beef. My daughter had a Thai salad. Even the chili oil was mild. They did have jalapenos. Not sure if that's a Thai staple. The restaurant itself is very pretty but dark.I went at 3 p.m. and used my phone flash light. Very accommodating staff. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Wine starts at 7$/glass. Linen napkins. Clean bathrooms.

Royal Thai was one of the first restaurants we ate together in the Dallas area. We have been back many many times and have never disappointed. The lemon grass seafood soup served in a fire pot has always been one of our favorites. Nearly every visit, summer or winter, we begin with it. We have tried lots of different entrees, never finding one unpleasant. The service can be a little slow, especially if there is a packed house. If you are looking for good Thai food, it is well worth the wait.

This place is beautiful, clean, and a provides a great dining atmosphere. Our server was excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The dumplings we had for an appetizer were small, but tasty. But the spicy noodles I ordered were nowhere near spicy, and I was surprised to see what appeared to be peanuts on top. Surprised, because that was the chicken meat, minced nearly into oblivion. There was no outstanding flavor to the dish, except a few sprigs of basil. (Never enough basil for me!) As this was my first visit, I probably didn't know how to order properly, most likely should have asked for a bottle of sriracha. I will say the bowl of soup my companion ordered looked wonderful, full of mushrooms and shrimp. I will try to give this a second chance some time.

We all had different main course dishes. I had vegetables with oyster sauce, the vegetables were too soft, I couldn't differentiate any taste or texture difference, it was not flavorful at all. The chicken dish was presented in a bowl of spiced coconut milk, with just bits of overcooked chicken, no other vegetables; again, not a meal worth consuming. The third meal was tofu and broccoli; over cooked and less than mediocre. We went to HG Supply on Greenville a couple of nights previous and had their version of the chicken with coconut Thai spiced dish. It was fabulous, and that is not an authentic Thai restaurant.

Being a bit of a Thai food snob, I was very pleased with our dinner at Royal Thai! The interior is beautifully decorated and there is also nice outdoor seating. They have a good variety of dishes on the menu, but I honed in on the curries. We had the green and Panang curries. They have a perfect amount of spices and were generous portions, but I wish they had a little less liquid. The Pad Thai was great. It was a lovely meal with excellent service.

Stopped for lunch earlier this week. Didn't love the soup, but did love the pad thai. Spring roll was quite good as well. Very good service overall. Will definitely be back!

Long time Dallas Thai restaurant in the Greenville Ave/Lovers Lane area of Dallas. Nice and small, but dark interiors. Very attentive service. Can get very crowded at week day lunch and weekend dinners. (Long waits!) The tulip dumpling appetizers are killer! Very delicious. The shrimp with jalapeno is very good, order the medium and it will be on the spicy side! Can be more expensive than the other area Thai places, but it is better than they are!

This is the only Thai restaurant that I eat at when in Dallas. This family does everything well. The decor is lovely, service excellent and food is delicious. I always have to have my Royal fix when in town. The coconut milk, lemon grass soup is to die for, soul food. They also have a very nice reasonable wine list.

The food was amazing, the ambience awesome and the staff very courteous.

Now dont let the outside shopping center enviroment of this resturant fool you. Its really a gem. The resturant is very comfortable and nicely decorated inside. The waiters wear traditional Thai outfits as they take excellent care of you throughout your entire meal. The servers were very attentive even for a busy Saturday night. And yes at 630 the place was already almost running at capacity so get there early or call to make a reservation if you dont want to wait. As for the food it was top notch with very fresh ingrediants. What is also great is that they will make any dish to the spice you want. I love very spicy food while my husband doesnt so we were able to tailor our meals to fit our tastes which lets everyone be happy!!! If you are in the mood for thai food in Dallas, check this place out! You will not be disappointed.

Cold night, hot soup... The ultimate comfort food. Royal Thai serves delicious, flavorful Food in a lovely dining room. Enjoy. (Warning: this place is in a strip mall. You could drive by and think that this is just one more so-so ethnic food. No way!)

This SMU-area Thai restaurant has terrific service, food, and ambiance that belie the bargain pricing for their menu items. We started with the spring rolls at $5.50. the were six to a plate, with excellent dinning sauces including the cucumber relish added for free. The entrees were uniformly delicious, with immense portions served by an outstanding wait staff. The soups were the best I've ever had in a Thai restaurant. I cannot recommend Royal Thai highly enough. It was packed on the Saturday evening, including their outdoor seating areas that wrap this corner restaurant. It was cold in Dallas, but the abundant heat lamps kept everyone comfortable. All of their very diverse clientele seemed to relish their meals, and people at adjacent tables seemed to be speaking to one another much more than one usually sees. You can't go wrong here. Our tab averaged about $15/person.

Royal Thai was one of the first restaurants I tried when I moved to Dallas many years ago. It was good then and is still very. The food is fresh and never disappoints. If you haven't been, give it a try - if you haven't been in a long time, add it to your list!

I hadn't eaten here in years and last night decided to stop there with a friend. I now wish that when I lived in that area of town I would have eaten there more often. The food was excellent and the service very good. We started by ordering the small house salad. It's a basic tossed salad that is elevated to amazing by the yummy house peanut dressing. I ordered one of the specials which was a yellow curry with chicken and sprouts over egg noodles. I preferred rice noodles and was able to get them to make the switch for me. It was really good and ample enough for me to have dinner and lunch the next day. My friend ordered the Pad Plik Khing, chicken with green beans in a red chili curry sauce. I tried some and it, too, was very tasty. The green beans were crisp and fresh and the sauce was spicy enough to be very tasty but not overpowering or painful. I plan to go back and eat there when I am back in North Dallas, or may even make a special trip.

This Thai restaurant is good. It is not the best Thai in Dallas but it is consistent and good. Service is good. It tends to be crowded and popular. It is more expensive than many Thai restaurants probably due to its proximity to SMU and the Park Cities.

The decor is very nice and there is lots of capacity. We were there on a Sunday evening and the place was busy. We were seated and waited on quickly, the menu was easy to figure out, the choices were great, and there were vegetarian options for one of our party to choose from. Our food was tasty and appropriately priced. A steady stream of people came through the door to pick up to-go orders. Nice.

Me my partner and a friend had a meal here recently. We were shown to a table the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful and plentiful and tasted great. A real little gem if you like Thai food

This is an excellent Thai restaurant. We tried their Penang Chicken, Basil Fried Rice and Pad Kee Mao. All were excellent and made very well. The flavors were just like they need to be for Thai food. The service was very good as well. The manager was walking around, checking on all tables, which I see as a sign of a well run restaurant. Overall, great food and great experience.

I go here probably at least once a month! Great lunch place. We usually get two appetizers and split an entree when I go with my daughter or girlfriends. The tulip dumplings and their fried calamari are wonderful! We usually spit the chicken fried rice or the pork fried rice. I've also tried several of their other dishes. I have never been disappointed!

The food was pretty good and the service was outstanding. The prices were reasonable for the area of Dallas it is located (Highland Park) area. I will be back!

I forget the name of my dish but it had the thin clear noodles, cabbage, bell peppers, scallions and shrimp. Great flavor and large portion. Good flavored tea too. I would make a return visit.

Will not recommend, I'm sorry to say this, but especially if your skin color isn't white. Three of us went there on Friday night, took us 15-20 minutes to get the table. Thats ok, it was a Friday night. We were in a corner table. No waitress came and nobody offered water for almost 20 minutes. My friend had to go tell the attendant upfront. Not to mention there were waitresses walking back and forth not even looking at our table. Finally waitress came, no apology even after our friend pointed out that she forgot about us. After order another 25 minutes to serve bland curry. If i have to season my own food, why would i go to a restaurant. Us and other Asian couple were the only non caucasian customers. White customer who were sat down after us got service and food even before we got our menus. Clearly, i do not recommend an overpriced ( 66 dollars for just 3 entrees n milk tea)and discriminatory establishment.

I have lived in Dallas for 3 years and live less than a mile from the restaurant, but I finally decided to try it for lunch with my wife and I was very happy we gave it a try. We ended up comign back two days later for lunch and a week later for dinner. Comign from Los Angeles it has very hard to find good ethnic restaurants in Dallas, but Royal Thai is one of those gems. Food is excellent and authentic, service is great, decore is nice what else can you ask for. They will even prepare the food at any spcie level you desire.

If you want really great thai food in Dallas, you can't go wrong with Royal Thai of Dallas. It's a small restaurant, but a very run restaurant with excellent food. I especially like the Royal Thai Chicken Curry.

Probably the most authentic Thai food I've ever eaten in the U.S. We were highly surprised by the quality and taste of the food at a reasonable price. We traveled a lot in Thailand, so we know how real Thai food is supposed to taste! ;-)

We had a little wait for the 3 of us at 8pm on a Thursday night but it was quite tasty. Even though there was lots of bustle going on, the staff was very quick to assist with our requests. The calamari appetizer came out quickly, still hot and cooked perfectly. We had green curry, pad thai and a shrimp with broccoli...All were delicious.

The food was a bit on the sweet side. The waitress was nice on my first solo visit. On my second visit, the hostess did not bother greeting me, but remained on the phone to grimace at me before returning to her phone call. The manager approached me and upon learning I needed seating for only one, he immediately went to the couple behind me and offered them seating. There remained ample seating throughout the restaurant. The restaurant aesthetics and food do not exhibit the high quality expected for its reputation, much less it's customer service. Royal Thai lost a customer today.

I had not been here for several years. My recollection was that it was a bit overpriced and food was just ok. This trip changed my mind! The menu has been revised and prices are lower than what I remember, now mostly in the $8.95-$9.95 range. My Royal Thai curry with chicken (#19) was excellent. Deep flavor, not too spicy, and lots of thinly sliced chicken. We also had avocado eggs rolls as an app that are deep fried and come with a very tasty peanut based sauce. For dessert we tried fresh mango with sweet sticky rice--wow, it was good and I am not a dessert fan. Mango was fresh and sweet. We also had the coconut ice cream which did not have much flavor but was refreshingly cool on a hot Dallas day. Service was polite and efficient. Based on this experience, it won't be several years before my return.

My wife is from Thailand and I have spent a lot of time there over the past three years , so we know Thai food. The atmosphere is great. The seating is comfortable, romantic and they even have beautiful outdoor seating. The food is authentic and well priced. We had the pork laab, which is essentially minced pork. We also had tom yung goong. Spicy shrimp soup, which was fairly authentic and good. I had the Thai steak and my wife had the fried fish. Both we good and tasted similar to what you would get in Bangkok. All in all it was a really good meal and my wife left happy. The service was excellent and I would consider this one of the better Thai restaurants in Dallas

Recently went there for lunch with a new friend. I've been there before. We got there early before the crowd. Still, the waitress messed up my order and delivered white rice instead of the brown rice I ordered. Then they took my dessert but only to return later and told me they didn't have the mango. Well, you would think they should know what they have and what they don't have, right? But they don't. The portion for my veggie dish is too small and I'm not a big dish portion person. Overall experience is average.

I've eaten at several Thai food restaurants around the DFW area and Royal Thai is still my favorite. You can't have a bad dish there - everything is good!

I absolutely love this place! The fish cakes are divine, any of the red curry dishes are outstanding, and they have a fabulous Pad Thai. The surroundings are lovely, and the service is attentive, but never intrusive.

We eat Thai food regularly. And, we eat at Royal Thai regularly. This is a wonderful restaurant - the food, service, and atmosphere - all great. We live nearby and have probably eaten at Royal Thai over 30 times in the past 5 years - never once had a bad experience. My only complaint is that it serves only beer and wine. But, they make up for it with a pretty good selection of wines. Start out with the Tulip dumplings or the golden sack - both delicious! As for entrees, we rotate between the pad thai, curry dishes, chicken and broccoli, shrimp and asparagus, and lahd nah. The green tea ice cream is one of my favs but is more bitter than sweet. Overall I don't know why Royal Thai is ranked so low on the list of Dallas restaurants. I have lived in Dallas my entire life, and think it is one of the best in town.

Royal Thai has been around for years and is still a great find! Their curries are delicious. The menu is extensive and prices are quite reasonable! Glad it's near me!

I was in Dallas on a business conference and my friend in Dallas took me here for dinner. Coming from the New York metro area, I had low expectations for a Thai restaurant in Texas, but I was pleasantly surprised with this Thai restaurant in Dallas. The Pad Thai was one of the best Pad Thai dishes I have ever had. Next time I am in Dallas, I will be going there again for sure.

The best Panang Curry you'll ever put in your mouth. The corn patties are to die for, and they have a variety of soups, each one delctable.

I travel to Dallas on business a lot. I popped into this place because my hotel was nearby. Even though it looked like a regular Thai place in a strip mall, once I entered, I realized it was a nice place. The food was great.. I mean this was really great Thai fare, not as good as it was while I ate it in Thailand, but pretty close. The green curry was totally delish..........................

Food was great, service excellent & was priced very good. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for good food in a relaxing atmosphere

while the location is great and there is plenty of parking, the food is average. i had a lunch special that was ok but not special. the coconut ice cream was pricey and icy with a few hard specks thrown in.

I had never tasted good from Thailand before, as I thought it would be spicy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are dishes that are not spicy. Had a dumpling an a beef dish that were quite good. There were a lot of chi Ken dishes in the menu.

From the moment you enter the door to this beautiful restaurant you'll feel as though you had entered the king's favorite dining room. The rich decor is vintage Thai. Servers seem to glide with measured grace and are eager to be at your service. Tables are sanitized and spaced for adequate social distancing. I strongly suggest having corn patties as an appetizer. The Roal Thai Swimming Angel is fantastic as is the Pattaya Beach Dinner. The Penang Curry is my favorite. This intimate, quiet place is perfect for a romantic date or a setting to close a perfect business deal. No reservations so it can get crowded easily. Our favorite Thai restaurant. It is in the heart of Old Town Village.

I highly recommend this place. We actually ended up eating here twice in our 5 day trip, which speaks volumes for us. We particularly enjoyed the tofu satay- I had never seen this dish before (its always been chicken), and it was very good. We also liked that they serve brown rice, which is a huge plus in our book. We are vegetarians, and we would highly recommend this restaurant to any other veggies out there!

We had no issues finding parking and a table on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is nice and staff was friendly. I really enjoyed menu item T7 out of the Thai specialties. It was a chicken curry with soft noodles and topped with crispy noodles. The tulip dumplings were very tasty. The Pad Thai was a bit on the sweet side but still better than other ones I’ve had in DFW.

Many years ago we discovered this restaurant more or less by accident. I would say that even though we probably went back more times than any other local restaurant, we eventually strayed. Last week we rediscovered this cozy little spot and found that it had actually improved since our last visit about ten years ago. The food is inexpensive, the portions generous but not excessive, the presentation pleasing and tasty and the selection refreshingly creative. There is, for instance, a dish called chantaboom which is a fish that looks like it has been cooked while swimming. It also tastes good. The service is also fast, friendly and efficient and the parking plentiful and free. There are also interesting stores nearby. The waitresses are also uniformed and attractive. Finally the restaurant is tastefully decorated with Thai artworks of unusual quality.

We came here for dinner on a fluke: the Plucker's restaurant across the parking lot in the strip mall had an hour wait which we didn't want to do. We both like Thai food, and this restaurant was not crowded, so in we came, and we are so glad we did! The dining area is beautiful and calming. The service was top notch. We had the golden sack and avocado egg rolls as appetizers. I choose the tangerine chicken as my entree and it was served with brown rice. I asked for the mildest spice possible, but you can go full Thai spice if that is your pleasure. We enjoyed our meal very much!

Had a great meal at Royal Thai. The servers were prompt and polite, and the food was very good. I got the Royal Thai Swimming Angel ($10.50): Wok-tossed sliced chicken breast over sautéed spinach and topped with thai peanuts sauce. It was outstanding! We got there a bit early because we were heading to a movie, but soon, the place filled up. A popular place to eat.

This Thai restaurant has the disadvantage of not being seen from the street (Greenville Avenue). Look for it in the Old Town Shopping Center near World Market at the end of that section on the North side. The food was good, but not excellent. I had Chicken Satay and Spring Rolls (which was not on the menu) from the Appetizers section. The chicken skewers were cooked to perfection, but the peanut sauce was a little sweet and thick with very little heat (red pepper). I prefer a thinner, non-sweet sauce w/heat. The Spring Rolls were very good, but I had to ask for them, since they were not on the menu. The only rolls on the menu were fried. The service was fine at 6:00 p.m., but they were not crowded. The restaurant and the restrooms were very clean. I would definitely visit again to try some of the other menu items.

We were there in March, and thought it was fine. You might also try Noodle Wave at Coit and Spring Valley for the real inexpensive Thai deal!

WE had such a pleasant time during our visit to Royal Thai! The ambience was beautiful, I was very surprised by it!! The service was first class, all of the servers were very professional and the food was great! We really enjoyed our time here, and for sure we will go back!!

I enjoyed dinning at Royal Thai. I enjoyed the ambiance and decor for a nice, peaceful dinner. The service was very slow and when I ordered tea they brought it with one tea bag and I had to use the same tea bag for my refills. It surprised me a bit. The Tom Ka was pretty good. The main entree was a bit dull and I have definitely had better other places. The curry portions are huge and the rice is extremely small in proportion to the curry.

i have been eating at Royal Thai for many many years. The service and quality are far and above the other options in Dallas for Thai. I drive across town for this place and it's worth it.

So so good, love the everything from the apps to the soups to the salads to the entrees. You can get it spiced up as many notches as you like or can handle. Service is good and they make sure you get what you want. The only negative is that it is small and the parking can sometimes be iffy in that space as it shares parking with several other businesses.

After 5 years in the city, I stumbled across the place only a few months ago. Since then, it has quickly become of my favorite restaurants in Dallas! Tucked away in the back of a Greenville Ave strip mall, this ambiance is completely unassuming and refreshingly intimate. There is almost always a wait on weekends and they don't take reservations. However, with large groups I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes. And a busy restaurant is a good sign in my book! Love the pad thai and the flat spicy noodles. Service is great and the price couldn't be better. Highly recommend!

Delicious pad Thai and Massaman curry. Fast courteous service. Food was hot and delicious. I will definitely eat here again.

The dishes that we ordered all looked wonderful, but a few were too sweet tasting. Being Thai and growing up in Thailand I have had all these dishes before, but never so sweet. We ordered family style and ordered appetizers; Corn Patties and also Chiang Mai Sausage. The Corn Patties were good, but the Chiang Mai Sausage was missing something. The Royal Thai Chicken Angel was very good. Tom Yahm Vegetable Soup was sweet, which is not a characteristic of this dish. The Fried Rice was also sweet, which was extremely just weird. The Catfish red curry sauce was alittle to sweet for my taste. I feel that some of the Thai restaurants, this one included, are catering more to the Caucasian crowd. My husbands Caucasian and, lol, he feels the same. The service was top notch. The waitress was extremely good and I was able to speak Thai with her. Our server took great care of us.

I lived in Thailand for 13 years and Royal Thai was the best most authentic tasting Thai food I've ever had in the US. Granted, I only tried 3 dishes there.

Met a friend for lunch, and both enjoyed our respective dishes, Yellow Curry & Chicken and Avacado Shrimp, both served with steamed rice, a side salad, and a small egg roll. Service is friendly and efficient and atmosphere nice.

I’ve been coming here for YEARS. Food used to be outstanding. After I found a fly cooked in my food I quit coming for 2 years. Just went back twice in one week. Some things never change..........we were told they would b closing after lunch and at 10. This was said 30 mins BEFORE they closed. I think this is possibly one of the rudest things you can tell a customer. We were also told the kitchen had last call at 9:45pm. Again, the food was just mediocre. I think my Royal Thai days have had their last call.

This was a cute little place with friendly waitstaff and good prices. The food was delicious!

The food and atmosphere is amazing! Very intimate and perfect date spot and super close to downtown. Not many veggie options but I love their garden curry!

This place has gone to a whole new lv of doing business. They refused to serve my wife and I over me wearing a muscle shift and shorts. It is there right to refuse service This is a FYI to others there is a dress code

Royal Thai makes a decent pannang curry and tom yum soup. Their downside is their service which is slow and not so friendly. This place is probably better for take out as it's not the most comfortable place to sit and eat a meal. If you're craving Thai this is a decent place, just ask for it Togo.

Everytime my son comes to visit from Miami we go here. Food is fresh and delicious, good value for you money and the staff is excellent! If you like tahi or you want to try it come here!

Had an excellent dinner with friendly service, great Thai food and beautiful décor in Old Towne shopping center on Greenville. Recommended.

I have eaten at Royal Thai since moving to Dallas in the early 2000's. They have consistently provided the best Thai food in the city. The service is always impeccable. Each dish is created with care and is always visually appealing. This is where I always want to eat for birthdays, anniversaries, and where I take visiting family/friends. The restaurant, even when busy, is always clean - and that includes the restrooms. The staff are always friendly and very accommodating. Even though I'm no longer close enough for frequent visits, they consistently provide a great meal with wonderful service every time I visit. The tulip dumplings are, by far, my very favorite dish to order, followed by the Royal Thai beef.

One of my pet hates when your with your family the ordered meals do not come out at the same time. Food was very nice, but not the best Thai we had ever been too. For us it never reached our expectations. Yes underachievers.

Very good food @ reasonable price.very good service.Soup served hot , spring rolls delicious, sauces great.Large quantiles.Very nice ambiance.only thing waitress forgot was the soy sauce I requested buy she did bring requested peanut sauce requested quickly.

I travel to Dallas for business, now every other week, and stop at the Royal Thai on each trip. It always is busy, but the food still comes out timely. The waitstaff is professional, and pays the right amount of attention. The menu is pretty broad, and what I appreciate the most is that if you ask for your food spicy, you get it that way. And the food is prepared well, which can be tricky with seafood.

Very nice place and a not overly crowded. $20 a person for 2 courses is very reasonable. Lovely hiding place

We are Hereford wedding and wanted to visit the presidential library... Found this place and it was GREAT!! We had two vegetarians with us. Everyone was happy with meal, service was great, and everything was clean. Highly recommend!!

Used to be very good. Last couple of times were disappointing. Today, very slow service. Iced tea had no ice. She brought ice. Later brought more tea without ice. No more ice. Special was Pad Plik Pau, which was described as having jalapenos and chile sauce. No kick at all, and the chile sauce was so thick and sweet I couldn't taste anything else. Shrimp were overcooked.
