Good Sushi (for past 10+ years) in the heart of Buckhead

By John T |

Wife and I ate there on Wednesday night around 8pm. We hadn't been there in a long time and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Ru San's remains a good sushi restaurant for the money. Probably why it has been in Atlanta for 10+ years. "Kiss Roll" was delicious - combined spicy tuna and jalapenos. Cucumber salad was very good too. Advice: sit at the bar as it is the most fun especially if Ru San is working. Chefs usually share some unique pieces (and drinks) especially if you buy them a drink. Negative - too many menus; there are 3 menus plus a "most popular" sushi rolls one pager. Would be nice if they consolidated and organized the menus (ex. all tuna rolls in one location).

Ultimate sushi restaurant, new to it. Enjoyed big time. I will return, and recommend to locals and visitors alike.

Delicious sushi and friendly staff

By CycloneIowa |

I came in close to closing time. The staff was very friendly. They seated me at the sushi bar and the chefs were very friendly. The sushi was excellent, fresh, and reasonably priced.

Americanized, Asianized “Japanese” food

By Stuart T |

Sometimes on the road, I have to have Asian food, even if I’m in Atlanta. Reviews at this place were positive, including many that promised real Japanese tastes. Not to be. Service was very prompt and personable, but …. Let’s start with atmosphere. Close to cafeteria ambience - like a Chinese buffet restaurant. Started with spring rolls and yakitori. Spring rolls were nice an crisp but filled with a mush the consistency of mashed potatoes - and garlic-flavored, not chopped fresh vegetables. Yakitori was a bit dry - and sauce was waaaayyy too sweet. Had tonkatsu dinner - pork was very lean, thus dry to my taste. Slice cabbage was also a bit dry, think it may have been chopped too long ago. And tonkatsu was served atop grilled vegetables - strange. Finally, rice (also a little dry - leaning towards Chinese) was served on the plate, not in a rice bowl. Strange! Food was passable, but don’t expect authentic Japanese.

Pretty good sushi - for...

Pretty good sushi - for Atlanta. Coming from NYC, it is hard to beat NYC sushi, so this is a good place. Great cocktail menu - definitely try one of their special ones. Tasty!

Good

I am a bit spoiled i think for life with the ocean fish, because I used to live in Alaska for 10+ years :) So I expected it not that great just because fish is delivered not caught right there. But it was not bad overall :)

Just ok sushi

By lostinatlanta |

If you're craving good quality sushi go somewhere else. If you want a lot of variety then this place has it. There menu is huge. I would also only go there if you don't mind really loud places. With the techno music in the background and the amount of people in the restaurant it can get quite loud.

Multi Asian Food with fantastic quality and atmosphere

By jeffaudit0418 |

We went to Ru Sans on a Thursday night; my significant other is not an experienced foodie so her tastes can be a challange. Ru Sans hit the mark with food, location and atmosphere. This is a Multi Asian sort of place with Japanese Sushi, Chinese fried rice and Korean Kumichi on the same menu. The service is mixed also, some Phillipino, Korean and Chinese with an American or two thrown in. All of the employees were totally nice and on the ball. If you want to have fun get a combination dinner with some exotic presentations, more sharing opportunities. I got my girl to try a lost of stuff she would not have ordered for herself and that made her night because it was excellent, even the Miso Soup and the fried rice were superior. The location of the Tower Walk Ru Sans offers an outdoor patio, great Buckhead location and a nice view of the surrounding neighborhood because it sits on top of the Tower Place complex; parking is convenient if you go to the top level of the parking deck. The parking entrance is on Piedmont and goes underneath the shops but 3 levels up you hit the top level that is outdoors; park close to the shops and you just have a short flight of steps to the entrance. Ru Sans is slam bang authentic Asian Cusine with generous portions and a Hipster, a little casual with big screen TV's with sports, a bar and laid back people. Families are comfortable here too. Check it Out

Early Dinner

Just arrived in town and staying right down the street. Our hotel recommended Ru San’s for sushi. To our surprise there is a “happy hour” so prices were discounted and they had drink specials. We took full advantage of this and ordered almost one of everything. It was delicious. Sushi was fresh, delicious and lots of it!! Wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often!!! We would definitely recommend and return!!

This place is so reasonable for sushi and good, and beer is cheap for Atlanta

Sushi so fresh it's still kickin

By spbuck |

Great variety of sushi and an extensive menu surely to please everyone's taste. Nice casual place but the service is always spot on. Close to Buckhead, within walking distance to several hotels and adequate parking in the nearby garage....

Very big and very good!

By Kevin W |

Great sushi experience here. We love sushi but had never tried this place. The rolls were very inventive and different from many of the typical sushi options. Service was fast and friendly and the rolls were easily twice the size of normal rolls. Flavor was awesome and plenty of food. Very loud, festive atmosphere on a Saturday night but very enjoyable. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Great food and atmosphere, no wait and the beer was nice and cold. This is a fun place to have dinner or lunch. Great

Great place for dinner love the food and atmosphere. Owner is always on the floor making everything run smooth. You want be let down, give it a try. Nice find in Buckhead.

Excellent Dining!

By victorfU9469RE |

This restaurant was just across the street form the Hampton Inn where I was staying. I ordered a dish (I've forgotten the name) that came with shrimp skewers and scallop skewers. They were served on a bed of vegetables, with a bowl of rice on the side. Even before they brought out the entree, I was served a small salad and a bowl of miso soup, which was yummy. The entree had two sauces, one sweet and one spicy. The portions were copious, I couldn't eat the whole dish. I expected a lot less for the price I paid so on top of being delicious, it was a great deal. I recommend it it highly.

Great Staff and Food

By micyflatley |

Have been going here for years, best of the best. Ru San is a culinary genius. Not only can you get regular sashimi and sushi, you can order some of the most sophisticated sushi creations in the world. Check out the "Punk rock and roll" and "Gone With the Wind". Even if you don't like Sushi you can find plenty of things to eat such as Teriyaki Chicken or Kobi Steaks! Check out the grilled sea bass yakatori sticks. My favorite is Tuna Tataki a seared block of tuna sliced thin and served with wonderful soy beef sauce.

Big party that they handled well and timely even though it was late at night. Good sushi, sashimi, tempura, and service. Decent prices.

The Best Sushi Restaurant in Atlanta

By Gerald732 |

My family and I had the opportunity of stopping by the Ru San's restaurant yesterday evening to sample their sushi and had a delightful experience. While my wife and sons ordered from the menu, I asked the waitress to surprise me. We all shared from each other servings and everything was thoroughly delicious. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere was clean and relaxing. We had the choice of sitting outside or inside. All the tables on the outside were taken otherwise the outside would have been our choice. The price was just right for the ambiance and the welcoming experience. Before we left, one gentleman whom we assumed was the owner or manager came over and greeted us. He also asked us about our experience. I would definitely go back.

Great (large) sushi selection

By Graham S |

I have eaten here a number of times now as it is very close to the office. Sushi is always great, and the selection is very large and varied. It may be worth asking for help the first time otherwise you will spend a long time looking at the menu!. It can get very loud, so don't go there if you want a quiet meal!

great sushi at a great price

By Stefan H |

we go here everytime we're in atlanta and the quality of sushi you get at the lunch buffet for $12.99 is amazing! there are plenty of choices and even if someone of your group doesn't like the raw fish idea, there is a nice selection of other choices. loving it!

Mixed results

By Craig M |

Several of us went to Ru San's for sushi and tempura on a Saturday for lunch and the restaurant wasn't busy. We had five in our party and were sent to a table with six chairs and for some reason they added two more crowding the table with chairs. We carried them back to the storage area. Just weird. Service was slow and it seemed without mental engagement. For example we ordered chicken fried rice for the table and watched the food cool waiting for plates to eat it on. The fried rice was excellent. The meals were mixed around the table, large portions but again some inconsistency in the preparation. Some in our party were satisfied others no so. Could have been an off day for the crew but for the price on expects more.

Nice for the price

Service great! Fast. Drinks of any kind. Happy hour is a great idea! Rolls are good! Bathroom should be updated ! I recommend it !

Nice lunch buffet

By AnnaKGA |

We were near Tower Place and looking for sushi for lunch. Nice to find a sushi buffet. Large selection of sushi, and other items (fried rice, teriyaki chicken, etc.). Price was reasonable. The sushi was good, not excellent - but you can't expect excellent on a buffet. I will return when in the area again.

Awesome food, awesome service

By Stina36116 |

I can highly recommend Ru San in Buckhead: The sushi is very fresh and tasty, the portions are generous, and the service is superb.

Good food Japanese foor

By VSPE |

The food in this restaurant was very good and of a good quality. The portions were more American size than Japanese size. The special sushi roll was such large in diameter, that could not do it in single bite, but its tasted good. Place was relatively quite on a Sunday early evening and everyone was watching game on more than few TV. Selection of the beers is half oriental and half Japanese. Price was very decent.

It's always a party at Ru San's. Friendly staff, inexpensive dishes, huge menu and a lively setting. SAKE BOMB!

This is by far one of my favorite places to go for dinner when I want something special. The atmosphere is always awesome, the staff is very friendly and always on point, and the food is always great.

Loved it!

Went here on a recent trip to Atlanta and loved it. Highly recommend the Tokyo Sunset roll. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and we're able to recommend items to be based on things I told them I liked and disliked. Foods came quickly and tasted great.

Great combo, large quantity

By Edward-A A |

I have chance to have a dinner in this sushi bar. my overall experience is good. You can choose to seat at the sushi bar, separate table indoor or separate table in the patio outdoor. Reservation is accepted and you can pay by cash or credit card. The restaurant is quite big and there are lots of people. It seems to me that it is a popular restaurant! The beverage and food menu are extensive. The price is a bit high but the quantity of a dish is big. I choose a chicken teriyaki sushi combo, which includes a cup or miso soup, a salad, about 6 rolls/sushi and a big dish of chicken with vegetables and fried/steamed rice. All except the chicken is good. For the chicken, I believe it is over grilled. The service is good and the waters/waitresses keep asking if anything is needed. Worth coming back again!

Ask for Lang

By shley17 |

On a night away, and after a day at the Sweetwater Brewery tour and tasting, my husband and I went out for a late dinner in Buckhead, no reservations, a Saturday night, the day after Christmas. You can imagine, it was busy! We wanted to walk to dinner from our hotel (the Grand Hyatt), and we wanted sushi. We settled on Ru San's because we had been there once before, we knew the food was good, the prices economical, and we could probably get in without a wait. We could never have anticipated the blessing that fell into our laps when Lang approached our table. I said, "Do you have a sushi dinner for two?" She explained our options. We went with the chef's choice because we didn't want to make any decisions. As she walked away I said, "Will you tell him we like yellowtail, please?" What arrived a few minutes later was a beautiful plate of food with more yellowtail than we've ever had on a chef's choice meal. Lang also took it upon herself to include a side of Kobe beef fried rice, and midway through the meal she brought us more freshly cooked steak because, "I told them they didn't give you enough the first time." I have never had better service or better sushi -- all for $45! We will certainly be back to see Lang whenever we are in Buckhead again!

Great Sushi Buffet

By Larry |

There are three Ru San's Restaurants in the Atlanta area that I know of. This one, in Buckhead, features an all you can eat sushi buffet from noon until 2:30 seven days a week. The food was fresh, tasty, and very nicely presented. Highly recommended.

Great deal!

By Richard B |

Their menu is extensive and I've never had anything I didn't like. It's fairly expensive, but also has an incredible selection of $1.50 (3 pc) maki. Fantastic place for the local college students on a budget.

Great place for sushi with friends

By Chey C |

I like this Ru San's more than the others for afternoon sushi with friends on the balcony. The bento boxes provide an excellent amount of variety and new items to experience. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The prices are good.

Delicious fresh Japanese food

Bustling, friendly place ... Delicious food - particularly the sashimi! Everything else was great too, but sashimi is hard to get right and they really did!

Excellent Sushi and Tempura

By 43220 |

We had a roll as well as some tuna sashima, along with shrimp tempura. They have a great happy hour where beer and wine is half price and they have some great food specials. Get there before 7:00 and enjoy a good inexpensive meal.

Attentive and quick service, food is OK

By Joe S |

Good rolls and they are huge! The best here is the service, they are on top of it making sure everything is going well. The food is a little bland but fresh. I had to use some ht sauce to bring out the flavor.

Best Sushi in town!

As a local, I have tried many sushi places throughout the city and this one is by far one of the best! Sunday brunch Buffet is SO worth the money and even a la carte sushi is worth the money. Highly recommend!

Loud and Proud and Fun, with Great Food!

By Pedro M |

I have been spending more time visiting my family in Atlanta in recent years and usually stay at the Intercontinental in Buckhead. When I am on my own, I like to find good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Ru San's is one of my favorites. This place is LOUD and fun, especially inside. They have a lot of outdoor sitting that is probably more to the liking of those looking for quiet. If you do not like loud music and a lot of chatter, including kids, this is not the place for you. They have a fine assortment of cocktails and beer at reasonable prices and the patrons, including me, are fond of partaking in them. I highly recommend the sake mojito. The menu is ridiculously big and complicated. Frankly, unnecessarily so, but the wait staff can help you with your selection. They have a very large kitchen with sushi bar, tempura and fried rice offerings. I prefer to sit at the bar for sushi. Their regular sushi platter is very good and if you are REALLY hungry the larger sashimi special is wonderful, with ama ebi tails and crunchy heads (try them separately, they are a real house specialty). They have a dizzying array of rolls. Many are great. I was, however, disappointed the one time I ordered their spider roll. Too thick a tempura for my taste. But those who are not fans of the raw seem to love them, which is why this place is good when those of us who love raw fish are in the company of those who do not. I had dinner there last week after Thanksgiving and the lunch buffet before the holiday. The lunch buffet is a great deal. Under $13.00 and the offerings range from a wonderful Hawaiian tuna salad, tuna, whitefish, salmon, shrimp and yellowtail nigiri, several rolls, spicy tuna "tacos" (I just ate the spicy tuna). They also have soup and salad, and then there are the hot dishes. A tremendous variety and amount of food for the money, so come hungry. Prices for dinner are very fair, though not cheap for the larger sashimi and sushi platters, though there are many less expensive alternatives in the extensive menu. Very family-friendly. Since the place is loud anyway, those of us without kids who are not fond of screaming children can take it. Just enjoy the boisterous atmosphere.

Unbelievable Sushi

By PBC7 |

Anytime I'm in Atlanta I eat at Ru Sans. IMO the best sushi anywhere. You have to have the Firecracker Roll, it's the best thing on earth. We always sit at the sushi bar and the service is quick and friendly. The menu is extensive and you can have practically any fish you enjoy. More rolls than anywhere else I have been. We also had the Unagi and the Tuna, incredibally fresh and beautiful in color. We ate a lot of sushi and the bill was only 77 and that included four beers. If you are in Atlanta, this place is a MUST>

Best Lunch Buffet Ever!!!

By ARReb |

My daughter and I popped into this gem on a rainy Friday. This is the most amazing truly sushi buffet ever! There was soup, salad, fruit, sushi (salmon, white tuna, tuna, yellow tail, all the good stuff), great rolls, and hot goods too!! All you can ear for $12.95!! Will be back again and again!!

Very Impressive Sushi Buffet!

By Jennifer M |

If we lived in Atlanta, we would come here every week! the $12.95 all you can eat sushi buffet is quite the bargain! In addition to a wide variety of sushi offerings, there was also soup, noodles, hot entrees and special items like kimchee.

Good sushi in a lively atmosphere.

By sweetnneka |

Now when I see a sushi menu with a large variety and good prices, I give it an immediate side eye. However, Ru San's exceeded my expectations! The sashimi was delicious, I had the popeye roll, which had spinach and clams - delicious. We also had some cooked items, the eggplant dish was great, and the soups were quite tasty. We will certainly return.

Great staff and Excellent food

By M3703QA |

I had never been here, but always wanted to try it... stopped in Friday night and sat at the Sushi bar. The staff immediately welcomed me and started to discuss their specials and popular items. Frankly, I wasn't felling 100% and ask the Sushi chef to make some recommends. After telling him the couple item I didn't like, he put together a Sushi and Sashimi combination that was Awesome. After a couple saki's and some good conversation with the folks to me left and right, I started to pic up. Happy no aeound and had a few more drinks and off to the Atlanta Airport. I found this to be a great location and was really impressed with the food and the team. Thanks.

Went to the Atlanta area for a Christmas party. Our friends and family decided to take us to Ru Sans and we were amazed. Best sushi I've ever had and the Vietnameese lady that took care of us was by far the best server ever. Never a empty glass or plate and the price was below what we expected

Grub delivery dinner

By travelingcircus38 |

Ordered online for delivery. 2 sushi rolls-the Kiss and another with crab and spinach. Both were good. Especially loved the dipping sauce which I used for both. Driver was friendly and I will use the service again.

It was fine

By Lauren G |

Nothing wrong with it but I’ve had much better sushi in Atlanta. Spider roll was gigantic with more rice than I prefer, thus each piece needed to be cut in order to fit it in your mouth.

One of my all time favorites.

By cwen |

Great atmosphere with amazingly plenitful choices on the menu. Pricing is very reasonable with good quality food. Never had a bad meal everytime I come to Atlanta for a visit. My favorite dish: Sea Bass with mushrooms (counted as least 3-4 varieties of mushrooms) and miso sauce.

Worst meal in Atlanta

By mandy939 |

Staying at a hotel around the corner, we decided to try Ru San's. Lively place, crowded even. We ate outside on the rooftop, which was a nice enough atmosphere. Service? Decent. Food? HORRIBLE. I ordered the Pork Katsu, which was tasteless, and way overbreaded. I was able to gag down about two bites. Thankfully, the soup and salad before was good. When I complained, the waiter told me the other Katsu dish has more flavor. Really??? My boyfriend had the Power Plate or something like that, basically, a lot of sushi. He liked it, however at 2am woke up thowing up. Don't eat there. Farm Burger right downstairs is awesome. Even that On the Border chain is probably preferable to this place. Just don't go.

Funa and Eclectic Sushi

By Cosmo W |

I have been coming here for several years and love Ru Sans. It has a great vibe and a HUGE menu, and the prices are moderate. Ru Sans is in no way fancy, but it is a fun and eclectic place to have Japanese food. The menu is quite extensive, and a lot of the items are small, so you can try many things without breaking the bank. Just be aware that this place can get loud, and if it's high-end fish you're looking for, this is not the place for you. Go for the vibe, the fun and the selection. And go with a lot of friends!

Food good, but service "iffy"

By gwen p |

Purchased a Groupon for dinner for 2. Problems started when we were handed a crumpled yellow page on which the menu choices for Groupon customers were listed. The waitress could barely explain how the menu worked and numerous questions were required in order to understand this "special Menu". If we wished to learn what the items on the "Special Menu" contained, we were told that we could find out by referring to the regular menu. Well that was fun - even some research included with dinner. So we decided on a calamari appetizer (which was $5 extra). Calamari was delicious, but the presentation on a bed of shredded carrots was a bit weird. Then came our main course: we had each chosen a sushi dinner roll, which were both delicious. Oh, by the way, all dinners come with soup and salad - except the dinner rolls. ( Sorry you didn't understand that after the confusing menu explanation and your numerous interrogations.) The only way the value we paid for the Groupon was met was that we both ordered dessert - fried ice cream. Again, delicious, although not something either of us really wanted; but we had paid $22.00 for a $30.00 prix fixed meal, had 2 rolls which a glance at the regular menu indicated a price totaling about $21, paid $5 extra for the Calamari, so dessert was the only way to reasonably approach the $30.00 limit on our meal. The whole experience felt like a "Bait and Switch".

Beware: take out/to go is a ripoff

By 3rh0 |

We ordered chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki to go, both with fried rice instead of steamed rice. On Ru San's website, it lists the chicken teriyaki priced at $14.45 and the beef teriyaki at $15.95. When we went to pick it up, the receipt said that the chicken teriyaki was $16.95 and the beef teriyaki was $19.95. We were also charged an additional $3 each for subbing fried rice without any mention of an up-charge when we ordered (an up-charge of $1 is normal, but $3 is ridiculous). The restaurant also adds a 10% to go fee. We would have tipped 10% regardless, so it just seemed unnecessary. The beef teriyaki was good, but the chicken was overcooked and hard. For one average meal and another less than average meal (teriyaki with miso soup and salad), we paid $51.20 for take out.

If The Realestate In This Area Is So Appealing Ru San's Needs To InVest $200,000 In A Make Over...

By Mr. X |

I confused with the great reviews Ru San has recieved. There are 4 Ru Sans in Georgia. I went to the one in Buckhead at 3365 Piedmont Road Atlanta, GA 30305. If you do not care about ecstatic, interior decor, beauty then you may agree with the others who have given this location good reviews. I disagree by 98% the food was okay...but its very obvious to me this place needs a huge make over and the owners might want to consider investing $100,000 or $200,000 in redecorating the intire restaurant. The whole place looks old and has been through a lot of patrons over many years. My pictures give the place a un-blemished and clean looking dining area...I have to say chafers old, sneeze guard for the cold buffet old and abused. Can I say the condiments on the counters and tables looked clean and have been wiped....thats good. But moving on to ambiance....I did not like the vibes at all... Its a get in get out at reasonable prices lunch break for people.... Don't get me wrong...the food may very well be great...but I had the buffet and after the one dish I was not interested in seconds.

This is a very good place where you can sit outside, enjoy the breeze and have good sushi. Priced reasonably and very fresh. Great Sushi, Great Atmosphere

By bcdurangoboy |

Dropped in for some sushi, and was not disappointed! Busy Sushi Bar, lots of diners, great fun loving staff! Sapporo on tap too........good Japanese Beer! We had the Hot Wok Tiger Shrimp, which had a spicy chili lime sauce, this was very tasty. I had the Mixed Vegetable Tempura , Salmon (sake) Nigri, California roll, Ru Dragon roll and a Seafood Udon bowl. Being from the west coast, we are pretty discerning about the quality of our sushi, since it is very prevalant out here! Have to say it was very good, the fish and seafood appeared to be quite fresh and we were pleased! The staff was excellent and looked after all our needs! Try this place, if you like Japanese!

Excellent Buffet at the Time

By 86goodintentions |

I enjoyed the lunch buffet so much that I took a friend a couple of weeks later. I was disappointed to discover they discontinued the buffet in exchange for a new lunch menu. I probably won't go back because the buffet was a great deal and what drew me there.

Great sushi, great time!

So my friend and I decided to try while staying in Atlanta, and this place was right across street from hotel. We had a great time. Vincent, our waiter, was awesome. He also got us a gluten expert at the restaurant who helped my friend with food selections. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I can't remember her name though. Overall experience was so good that we returned the next day with others we met at the hotel and my friends family. Highly recommended this sushi spot!

I've been to this place, which has such a nice atmosphere! The sushi man is a genuine japanese guy, who attended myself in an unique way! Highly recommended!

The sushi was good but they false advertise on certin menu items

By Phil O |

I have had sushi here before and that was good. this place has a huge menu so I didn't expect them to be able to do everything as well as their sushi. I had one huge problem though...... After having the spicy shrimp and won ton chip appetizer ( which was Delicious ! ) I seen a listing on their dinner menu that intrigued me. They had a listing for TIGER PRAWNS !!!..... Wow I said, I have not had prawns in a long time !!! So I order the prawns. Why did they bring out the same little 25 count shrimp I had with my appetizer???..... They didn't even had the decency to send out tiger shrimp much less tiger prawns !!!!! Only in ATLANTA can a restaurant right in the middle of the business district get away with this foolishness !!!!! GO FOR THE SUSHI AND STAY AWAY FROM THE SEAFOOD !!!!!

Creative rolls, quick service

By hiddenhotelier |

Ru San's is kind of a go-to for my group of friends and I. The service is (usually) very expedient, the house sake is actually quite good and the selection of rolls is one of the more creative that I've encountered. This location is also one of the only places in Buckhead where you can get true, fresh fatty tuna (the perfect denouement after a couple of rounds of ngiri). It's not fine dining, it isn't going to blow your mind, but it's consistently very good. It's also a fun date spot. I recommend it.

Great sushi!!!

By Bannunziata |

Was staying at the Hampton inn across the street so we stopped by for dinner. The place was packed, we had about a 25 minute wait then we were seated. Ordered sushi and it was great!!!! The spicy aioli sauce was excellent. The decor was very modern and overall it was great.

Best Sushi and Value in Atlanta

By jaybrianz |

There are now several Rusans,,,,in the Atlanta area but the best one is 3365 Piedmont Rd in the Tower Building. The quality is unmatched. The variety that is on the menu is amazing. Eel, Salmon, Soft Shell Crab, Seafood Nachos, Calamari, Dynamite rolls and vegetable tempura. Most combination plates are under 25.00 and two people can split. They come with at least three rolls, an appetizer and soup and salad. As you are seated they give you a pasta salad. The service is oustanding. WE HAD CP "College Park" and Daniel and they were very attentive. The other servers even help pick-up too. You will be pleased with the quality, service, value and selection. They are also quick so hurry up and get there soon.

We had dinner at this restaurant and we really loved it! Their food was fresh and tasty, the service was fast and polite and the place is very unique. The whole experience was great! The price was good too!

Great Value for the Sushi

By Justin S |

It's not the best sushi in town. Sorry to say and disappoint all of the reviewers who say it is. What it is though, is the best sushi in town for the money. The value you get here is incredible. Often I hear of RuSans as the "just out of college and on a budget sushi spot" and I think that descriptions sums it up perfectly. The lunch buffet is unbeatable. $13 for all you can eat - hot and cold food. Service is always friendly and quick. If you are looking for a good sushi meal and don't want to empty the bank account, RuSans should be a top choice.

Excellent service and food

Our family of 10 ate here last night and it was wonderful! The service was prompt and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious! The Ahi Poki is amazing.

Good food at a good price

By Durwood N |

Curb appeal really played a role in our deciding to eat here. The ambiance is really lacking, and the acoustics make for a very loud venue. The sushi was very fresh and the cooked appetizers were good as well. There was way too much Ponzu on the spinach and the gyoza was a little chewy. The only real criticism is that most of the rolls were fried. I suppose they would have been available raw, but hard to know. Also there is no full bar. The wine and beer list is about average, but all the cocktails are made with Sake. It really was not appealing. Very good service.

Great Seafood

I had a lunch special that gave huge portions at a great priced. The sushi was great and I especially enjoyed the fried shrimp. The atmosphere was not so great. We sat inside and it sought of reminded me of a school cafeteria with windows...

Looken good, but

Went there for lunch and ordered a mix of food , sushi, tempura and yakitori. Looked very good when it was served. Large portion and nice setup. But the taste was rather poor, fish a bit chewy and no real taste. Wold not recommend.

Good Food and Great Service!

By TravelingGirl95 |

I previously visited a Ru Sans in North Carolina. This location lacks the ambiance of that one, but the food was still good and the service was amazing. Cheyenne, our waitress, made several recommendations. She did not steer us wrong. Cheyenne had a lot of personality and was very attentive. We ordered the following: Caribbean Breeze (Conch and Spinach Dish) - Full Disclosure, this is not going to taste like Conch that you find in the Caribbean, but it is not supposed to. We are in Atlanta! With that said, this dish was very good. There is so much flavor. It really gets the taste buds going. Be advised, the Conch is very firm. Shrimp Fried Rice - This was very flavorful as well. My companion compared it to Thai style fried rice. Sake Mojito - I thought this was tasty, but a little weak upon first trying it. I was wrong it sneaks up on you. Hot Wok Tiger Shrimp - This was absolutely delicious. The shrimp chips go so well with the freshly made spicy guacamole. Super Volcano Roll - If you like shrimp tempura, you will like this roll. I thought it was just okay. I wanted to try something different, so I chose this roll. I am more of a raw sushi person. I also found the rice to be a bit mushy, rather than sticky. If you go to this location be sure to ask for Cheyenne. She will not steer you wrong!

Staff went above and beyond!

Great food

My colleague and I had dinner here for two straight nights during our Conf. Foods were very good and reasonable price. Service was excellent. We ordered one of their Super Protein Boat sushi?(huge portions comparing to any Edmonton Sushi here), Crispy Tuna and Nabeyaki UDON - again it was huge - one night. We were so full and could barely walk back to the hotel..

Absolute best taste

By Rambler17 |

Fantastic, we brought 40 people and it was best. The only complaint was some folks waited a little while on cooked dishes. The sushi was good and quick service. Definitely going back again.

Okay Sushi but convenient to hotel

The Sushi is okay but the restaurant was walking distance from the hotel. The atmosphere is fine and the service is average.

Food is OK for the lunch buffet, crowded buffet line

By JBT2 |

Presentation is crowded, place never seems to be quite all the way clean. I go once in a while, but maybe there are other places I prefer.

Great for Large Groups

By nbouchard1 |

As a college kid in Atlanta, I've learned to love Rusans. The atmosphere is loud and full of energy. Its hard to not go in on any night and find a large group there for dinner or celebrating something and doing sake bombs. They sing for birthdays and special occasions and will greet you enthusiastically. I can get stuffed by spending less than 20 dollars but I will say it's certainly not the best sushi in Atlanta. I would stick to the rolls because they are delicious. They also have a daily lunch buffett and although I've never been sick off of it, it's always made me nervous.

The Rainbow sushi is great, got to have some! There seafood fried rice is the best!!! Although this visit i tried a noodle dish. I had the pan fried noodles with shrimp. I believe I could dine here at least once a week.
