Logan at rules and regs "food runner" and Aubrey were awesome. Hard working fast delivery to tables. Appreciate dedication to customers.

Stopped by after wandering town and they had a nice light menu for the evening. The Empanadas were really good and the service was great. Great views from the patio.

Came to Austin to visit some friends and went to Rules & Regulations and had made a new FABULOUS newfound friend Alif that made our experience great and showed us all the best recommendations!!

Alif hooked me up with a great cigar and even better service!!!! First time at this restaurant but I will be back. Thanks Alif!!!!

Some of the best Downtown Austin SkyScape Skyline views with amazing drinks and food... In the Fairmont Hotel Austin. #Austin #ATX #TX #Blogger #Blog #ContentCreator #Foodie #Travel #Stacation #Hotel #Restaurants #Bars #Cocktails #TripAdvisor #Wanderlust #Namaste

The night atmosphere was exceptional. The balcony view was great and the music was awesome. The brisket tacos were delicious.

The Drinks and appetizers at this Gorgeous rooftop spot were excellent. Gotta visit when you are in Austin!! Very Unique.

Kind of pricey and parking is, well downtown parking, but the city view as the sun is setting is fantastic. This is a newer bar from the normal downtown offerings and we as a group of six had an enjoyable evening here. The seating in direct sunlight in July is a bit much, but we were able to get a table with a good A/C breeze that keep the temp enjoyable. Lots of beautiful people around and the pool is a good place to be seen also. Take the elevator to the 7th floor from the Fairmont lobby. We knew to go there, but it is not well advertised.

Awesome dinner, drinks, conversation and city scape views at Rules & Regs; Stafan was amazing - a Rock Star of Service, great attitude and recommendations ... The foods was/is fantastic (2-Thumbs up for the Kitchen Team!) .... From the Front door reception to the seating options, the entire experience and departure - a great kept secret escape!

We had such a relaxing brunch here which is exactly the vibe we were going for. The hostess, Carmen, gave us a few options for our party to make sure we were taken care of and we got a perfect spot to make sure we were all comfortable. The food was fantastic and the bar tender, Johnny, made sure to make my mother’s sangria to her liking which made her brunch that much better! Would totally recommend! Loved it!

A must try! Ivy recommended her favorites and we decided to just try everything on the menu. Ivy and John made us feel like rockstars. Make sure to leave room for dessert! Tiffany the manager was very attentive, loved that she took time to check on us and the tables around us.

Great staff, snacks, and delicious drinks make you never want to leave this perfect pool-side oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. The mimosa set up is worth every penny. Big shout out to Alan and Taylor.

So impressed! The drinks, the food, the view, the breeze; what a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a cocktail or two. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back.

The food was amazing!! Alif was super helpful and attentive! Would definitely recommend this place !!

Our hostess Carmen was super attentive and consistent with service. She made excellent recommendations and made our time there a great one. Will most definitely be coming back!

Good food, great and delicious drinks, and staff was really friendly. Would totally recommend, and def will be back soon.

I would like to say that the hostess Carmen was exceptional. She guided me and gave me suggestions on attractions and food. She was truly a pleasure. 5 stars on customer service. Great place to visit if you are in Austin.

The view speaks for itself, but the food is restaurant quality and so good. We only had apps, so try the Guacamole and homemade chips. Good photo opportunities, especially at sunset.

The hostess gave us such a hard time when we wanted to peak in, but the place was almost totally empty on a Saturday night. We were finally seated, but then the waitress gave us a hard time about ordering non-alcoholic drinks, which I might have understood if it had been packed (look at the photos, no one was there). Besides the lackluster service, it was nice enough. As guests staying in the hotel, it was the only place we received poor service during our entire stay. I loved the Fairmont, but I doubt I'd go back to Rules & Regs.

The hotel is stunning. Their decorations, the rooms, the quality of their personnel are just amazing. Everybody is so educated and helpful. The location of the hotel is convenient with easy access from highways and in downtown Austin. The views from the rooms are marvelous

Went there for an “after party” following a black tie event at the Fairmont. It was great. It can get cost when packed with all the pretty people. Really enjoyed it. No cell phones allowed for “privacy”. Awesome idea. They put your phone in a locked soft case that you take with you until you leave.

Stunning views, epic drinks, nice cabanas and a great place for a Saturday afternoon,.... until you see how packed it gets and suddenly being stuffed like a hot sardine into a small pool along with 300 other people isn’t so great. My advice : get here early to secure your place, hang out for a bit , then vamoose to somewhere more classy when the wannabe masses arrive ! Try somewhere low-key with understated elegance like Hotel Ella or Four Seasons . Avoid the punks and groups of pretentious kids and head to a subtler crowd that gets the job done just as well 👍🏻🇺🇸

When you’re looking for a hotel, you’re looking for an experience, a break from the stressors of life, relaxation, fun--a feeling! Every time I’ve stayed at the Fairmont Austin, I’ve had an outstanding experience. I’ve enjoyed my stay at Fairmonts around the world, but the one in Austin has a particular vibe about it that is contagiously exciting and attracts very friendly guests. The staff are sincere, charismatic, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is exactly as you wish and more. I do believe in positive feedback therefore I tried to speak with at least seven different employees to discuss with them an issue I had with my reservation. It was a mistake made by the hotel. I let them know what the problem was and not one time was I given a solution or taken seriously (not any level of respect). Instead I was given excuses, and in fact began to receive the blame they were deflecting. It was definitely within their power to send this up the chain of command. This somewhat happened my last night when they called me in the evening and woke my toddler who didn’t go back to bed until past midnight. And yes, I was telling my story AGAIN to an entry level employee who was responding to one of my messages I had sent in hoping SOMEONE would help me. She was incredibly rude, not listening, spitting out information, until I got to speak to her boss. Finally, I was offered around $130 a day credit to use in the future if I chose to come back. I was not after the money!!! I was just giving positive feedback, and wanted to be treated well in return. I gave the positive feedback in a very polite, friendly way with plenty of compliments on how amazing the staff had been thus far. I tipped more than I have ever tipped because of the amazing staff (except for the few who weren’t trained to deal with a guest that “doesn’t go off script” and you have to think a little to accompany them, make them feel special and appreciated). This problem is something that could have been resolved during check-in, yet ended up haunting my entire stay and completely ruined my last night. The trip ended up being a nightmare to top it all off. This was mine and my daughter’s one vacation we took all summer. It was going to be a one night stay and we extended it to two prior to arrival. We spent nearly over 1K including tips and were offered $130 to resolve Fairmonts mistake they didn’t acknowledge, or respond to. I’ve always said Fairmont is the best hotel in Austin but it has changed so much since I last visited two Decembers ago. I truly hope I can come back on here and leave a raving review soon. If Fairmont cares they can resolve this problem still. Transparency and communication is the most important thing when booking a reservation. I believe there should be no lying or deception and then lack of accepting responsibility later. My shout outs go to JAZZ (above and beyond), NICK F!! (Soo accommodating), Nature (wonderful greater and makes you feel special at check in), and (CARLTON—most concerned with my situation and took it seriously. Very grateful, seemed very experienced with hospitality and how to treat people exceptionally) , and finally Denis who understanding “took the bull by the horns” and said he would take care of the situation. I wait hopefully to change my review!!

There was an electric outage at my apartment so I decided to spend the night at The Fairmont on Christmas night. I go there regularly to the roof pool and the restaurants so I was expecting the same high level of service I had become used to. Unfortunately, after I settled in the room, I was unable to reach anyone at the hotel via phone - including room service, the front desk, and anyone else. Uncomfortable with the absence of the ability to reach out in case of emergency, I left. The next day I reached out to management at the hotel to report my concerns and why I'd left, I was responded to by Anthony Paramo one of the managers there who was receptive and kind from the outset and addressed my concerns. Having decided after leaving the hotel that night that I would not return, after experiencing Anthony's efforts to win me back, I will not only return regularly but also let friends know that the Fairmont takes seriously the tasks of making their guests welcome, safe and happy. Anthony is a tribute to the Fairmont and everyone there whose efforts combine to provide fantastic service.

Alif was our server for the whole weekend and he was amazing! He really knows the menu and knows what’s a good drink for you based on what your preferences are.

Just had the best time here at Rules and Regs. Alif was attentive and customer service was 10/10!!!!

Shout out to Carmen. We appreciate you Carmen! Keep up the good work. We are happy to have met you! Nicest girl in Austin!

On the seventh floor of the Fairmont and not very well signed. But once you find it, fantastic. The pool is next door but the view faces the opposite way. Plenty of covered outdoor seating plus indoor. Great service. Light menu works.

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and it all started with Carmen. I love this place and the hostess made it that much more enjoyable. Quality was exceptional and the service was high caliber. Special thanks to the hostess for her hospitality and insight.

Spent the weekend Hanging out with my sister and her boyfriend who were staying at the Fairmont. As someone who lives in the city, I didn’t know how incredible the view up here was! Shoutout to Daniela’s infectious personality and those frozen margaritas, I’ll definitely be back!

I had a "Last Word" cocktail that was off the menu and it was to perfection! I will definitely be back as well as recommend this place to others. The patio has breathtaking views of Austin.

Alif is AMAZING!! Excellent service and extremely professional. Very helpful and knowledgeable if you gethim, you willbe taken care of to themaxa

We spent a couple of lovely days at Fairmont Austin to celebrate my husband’s birthday last weekend. In spite of crowds, the check-in process was very smooth and pleasant thanks to a very personable staff member, Mr. Kemal, at the front desk. As we consulted about dinner reservations at the Concierge Desk, we met another wonderful member of the staff, Mr. Shalton. When we returned to our room on our first evening, we were delighted to find a cool surprise! A red “Celebration Cake”, a bottle of Prosecco, and a Birthday Card with heartfelt sentiments from Reservation Specialist, Katherine Alonso, who had asked me if this was a special occasion when I had made the reservation a while back. The wonderful treatment did not stop there. On our last evening in our room at the Fairmont Austin, we found another surprise, an elegant box of delicious truffles and a card from Mr. Shalton whom we had met a day earlier at the Concierge Desk. As we checked out the next morning, we were assisted by an impressive and outstanding member of the staff, Mr. Yusuf who made sure that our bill was accurate. Throughout our stay, every staff member we came across, including our server, Ms. Elif, at the bar downstairs was eager to make our stay truly memorable! Well done and many thanks!

so the portion sizes of the meals are not large , but are well done , the views make up for all of it , have unobstructed views of the city from the patio ...WOW !

My wife and I very much enjoyed our Saturday brunch here. Food and service were both good. The view from the restaurant over Austin is great. There is also a nice terrace when the wind is not too strong.

One of the best bars in downtown Austin and a perfect spot for date night. Drinks, food, and service are all spot on and view of downtown at night is amazing! Will definitely be back!

Great views from the 7th floor whether hanging out reading on a rainy day to evening cocktails and snacks in a comfortable, clean setting. Spent quite a bit of time here during our four night stay and just kept coming back.

Miranda Rules was SUPER attentive and consistent with the service. She made excellent cocktail recommendations and made my friends birthday very special and made him feel special. Will most definitely be coming back.

7th floor bar features both inside and outside seating on the 7th floor poolside of the Fairmont Hotel. Nice views, nice service, typical bar menu.

Visited Rules and regs with friends for drinks and was met with great service by bartender Jay makes excellent drinks and makes the experience better great bartender when I’m in the area I always make sure to stop by just to have some drinks by Jay.

Claire made sure our experience was one of the best with awesome drinks and humor. We’ll be staying at Fairmont Austin again after this night!

At the rules and reg drag brunch, I had a blast! The staff was warm and attentive, and Carmen, the host, had a beaming smile. Adrian and Alicia provided top-notch service at the bar. All three employees delivered outstanding customer service. The salsa I ordered was flavorful and spicy!

Not worth the trip to see a view of the top of the convention center next door, but the drinks were good. Service was good.

First let me say, the bar bites are all fantastic and the bartenders, especially Ebby, make great cocktails. In addition, my wife and I really enjoy the atmosphere and views. In addition, I also wanted to mention that I experienced an unfortunate emergency situation this past weekend at Rules and Regs where I past out due to a drop in my blood pressure. At that moment, my wife called out to Ebby for assistance and he sprang into action. Both Ebby and Tiffany(assistant manager) were by my wife's side within seconds providing her with their support during the situation. They immediately called 911 and stood by my side with my wife until I became conscious. During the whole situation, they provided their undivided attention and helped me and my wife get through this event. I truly want to thank both of them for their help during this difficult and scary situation. My wife and I are truly grateful that they were there to support us through the entire situation. Thank you again. We will be back soon!!

Went out for a few drinks with friends at the Rules & Regs bar. The bartender Sade welcomed us, provided drink options and crafted amazing cocktails - all while being the only bartender behind the bar! Her spicy margaritas on the rocks are by far the best I've had in all of Austin. Highly recommend for those who want a classic drink that's REALLY good!

Had a nice evening at Rules & Regs. From the moment we arrived , we were greeted by the lovely Ms. Carmen. She was so kind, professional and just overall provided us with great customer service. Jay was absolutely awesome , attentive to his guest, and made the best drink recommendations. Seriously, the best drinks I’ve ever had!! I look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend coming here

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Austin hotel recently. It is always our number one pick to stay at in Austin. The hot tub and pool area are Vegas quality and always available in our experience. I had an issue with a lost item and Madelyn was extremely helpful in assisting with our search. The restaurants and bar areas are lovely and I have found the level of service and helpfulness to be extremely high after many stays.

I recently met a friend at Rules & Regs to celebrate her Birthday. We had a great seat with a fabulous view of downtown Austin! Alif was our server and he took the BEST care of us! He recommended several nice appetizers and a superb sparkling wine to start. I especially enjoyed the sliced melon plate as well as the sparkling wine! We split an R&R Cubano and then Alif and their pastry chef presented my friend with a BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS Birthday Dessert! (She shared) I would recommend friends from out of town as well as locals visit Rules & Regs. We will return soon!

We went to the Ugly Sweater Bar to celebrate my best friend’s 40th birthday. The entire experience was first class. The views from the rooftop patio were beautiful, our service was excellent and the cocktails and appetizers were delicious! Jazz, who seated us went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying ourselves. Definitely recommend Rules n regs!

I cannot rave enough about this place. From the service you receive to the food and cocktails. I tell everyone I meet about this Austin gem. We are regulars at this bar/restaurant located inside the Fairmont and we always receive the best service. Special shout out to Tiffany and Alan who always make us feel welcome! Also Iveth who was our server. She’s so sweet and gives great recommendations. If you come to Austin, you need to make time for rules and regs! P.S the view of the Austin skyline is amazing here 😍

I had an Old Fashioned and asked for some bar snacks since I saw a selection behind the counter, the waitress suggested chips & guac so I said great... I waited and waited and when it finally came it looked gorgeous but tasted like all they'd done was add lime juice to mashed avacado (no other flavor happening). The chips were cool looking, but greasy and awkward. When my bill came I was charged for them (yes, I should've asked, but it was still irritating). My Old Fashioned was really good, but came in a plastic glass (tacky). I liked their bar in the lobby a whole lot better (just as cool, same great drinks but in real glass, better service & free bar snacks)!

We needed a place for a last minute gathering for a toast after a screening with food. The team not only came through they over delivered AND were lovely people. The space is fantastic even on a chilly evening, blankets offered for those that want them and the food and drinks were terrific. Thanks to Victor, Jazz and Jay for a fantastic evening. You can’t go wrong here!

If you want to spend the day with some good people watching, while enjoying the sun and some drinks, I highly recommend booking a daybed at the Fairmont pool! Mallory was awesome! Brought us a complimentary bottle of prosecco for our anniversary and made sure we had everything we needed. We could relax and just enjoy our vacation. All around, a great day!

I can’t speak highly enough about Brendan and the crew who looked after me. I am travelling solo and they were great at giving me local tips, awesome cocktails and just having a great chat. Shout out to Brendan, Jay and Sade. Thanks y’all!

Rules and Regs is a must if you are ever in Austin. Located on the 7th floor of the Fairmont Hotel, this place is top notch when it comes to service, food, and drinks. I had brunch here for the first time and it was soooo goooood! Our server Iveth made excellent recommendations and Tiffany and Alan made the entire experience very welcoming. The music and ambiance are awesome as well. I am definitely becoming a regular at Rules and Regs!

Alif and Iveth took the very best care of us at rules and Regs! The space has a stunning view there’s lots of very comfortable safe distancing and everyone is wearing masks. Service was fast incredibly personable, friendly, the drinks were delicious and so is the food!

I just stayed here in January and when I received my bill, I noticed that they're now charging a "urban experience fee". It's basically a resort fee and a money grab to try to get an extra $45 out of their customers. The issue is that they are not upfront about this And it is very misleading. There are plenty of other hotels and resorts that charge a fee and you know about it upfront however this is not clearly communicated and I will be staying at another hotel chain moving forward.

Had to check out the new brunch menu here recommended by Alessandro my favorite bartender at Fulton. John and Ivy were fantastic with their recommendations on the menu and phenomenal service. Tiffany made sure everything came out perfectly. Highly recommend the pozole and huevos divorciados!
Views!
Visited Austin for the weekend (Diana Ross Concert) found Rules and Reg as one of the bars to visit. Upon arriving (Saturday 1:30 pm) we were met with an upbeat welcome given by Phil. He asked us if we had reservations, we did not and he replied no worries. I asked for an outdoor view and he gave us an amazing lounge chair facing the amazing view of DT Austin. Faith, our server matched Phil’s energy. We didn’t order food, just a bottle champagne and couple of drinks. Definitely recommend Rules and Reg.
