Excellent Persian Food - great flavor, healthy, fresh. Not inexpensive, but it was not unusually high either. Friendly to vegans and vegetarians. Hard to understand how they are only in the middle of the pack in all rated Atlanta restaurants - there is no way this restaurant is outside top 5 percent in Atlanta other than folks are not familiar with Persian food. Trip Advisor rating is underrating this place big time.

Well, heard good things. But don’t believe them. Had a reservation andn45 minutes later nothing. The service is poor and misleading. The food is below average. In all, a complete waste. I’ve had better food at Just about the most below average fast Food restaurant. Steer clear- You’ve been warned

There are several reasons why my wife and I like to go to Rumi’s Kitchen for special occasions, and it’s because it’s special on several levels. Lovely décor, a solid cocktail menu, Persian cuisine, interesting apps/dishes, super friendly service. Went last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday and Jordan took great care of us. Mind you, the restaurant was packed and we always felt like someone was there to make sure everything was in order. We were both between dishes and were guided to two very different and very tasty options. We had the short smoked salmon hummus and falafel as starters and everything was on point. The combination of flavors in the hummus was very unique and rich while the falafel are some of the best we’ve ever had. NOT shy in the flavor department. For cocktails, I opened with the SS. Poet, and my wife had the Shazdeh Garden. Both very interesting with the Shazdeh being very smooth and more on the citric side while the SS. Poet was peppery and good enough for my wife to have as her second cocktail. Meanwhile, I switched to the Skeleton Tree (hands down one of my favorite cocktails – VERY booze forward prohibition style). For our entrees, my wife had the Soltani Kabob and I had the Duck Fesenjoon, because we wanted to try different dishes from what we’ve had before. The tie break came courtesy of Jordan, who was always there to answer questions, keep our table in order, and overall just adding so much to our experience. For dessert, we had the Persian Ice Cream Sandwich, and that serves three easy (vanilla based ice cream with saffron, rose water & pistachios, sandwiched between two crisp vanilla wafers). It was a lovely palate cleanser to finish off our meal and celebrate my wife in style. Definitely enjoyed and it was packed for good reason. So, if you like your dining experience more quiet, look to have dinner off hours or on days with lesser peaks. But if you don’t mind the crowd, no worries, they’ll have you covered.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect but this got great ratings and was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. I'm so glad we did! The service was attentive and warm, the food was generous and delicious, and the ambiance made us feel like a whole bunch of old friends were getting together for dinner. The only complaint I have is that it was pretty loud but that really was because everyone was having such a good time.

Went with a group of friends at 6:30pm. Could not even hear the person next to you talk unless you leaned over and spoke in their ear (we are in our 40s-50s so not hard of hearing). Food was great and interesting. Server was over the top nice and efficient. Would only go back with someone I didn’t want to talk to. If they can fix the noise issue, would be a GREAT place.

Rumi's Kitchen, located at 1175 Peachtree Street NE in Atlanta, Georgia, is a celebrated Persian restaurant renowned for its authentic cuisine, inviting ambiance, and attentive service. The menu features a variety of traditional Persian dishes, including flavorful kabobs, rich stews, and fresh appetizers. Notable dishes include the lamb kabob, lamb shank, and sea bass, all accompanied by generous portions of saffron basmati rice. Appetizers such as hummus, falafel, and Kashk Badenjoon (an eggplant spread) are also highly recommended. My daughter an I had the Lamb Ribs and Fattoush Salad for an appetizer. I never had Lamb ribs, but wanted to order another appetizer. They were very tender and tasty. The sauce made it all the better. For the Feast we had the American Wagyu Zabuton Kabob and Braised Lamb Neck. The saffron basmati rice was cooked to perfection and the crispy potato tahdeeg basmati rice was different, but tasty too. Ambiance: The restaurant offers a contemporary setting with an open kitchen concept, allowing diners to observe the culinary craftsmanship. This restaurant is in the perfect location and a great option after spending the day in the Midtown area. After going to the theatre, I wanted to go to dinner in walking distance from the Woodruff Arts Center. Surprisingly, not all restaurants in this area are open on Sunday's. This restaurant is great for individuals with allergies and offered good substitutions. I ordered the Chicken Barg with a glass of Rumi's ginger beer. The ginger beer was very good. I was determined to try dessert, so I ate a little of food to ensure I could enjoy Rumi's pistachio dessert tart. I am glad I saved room. The tart had a shortbread crust and tastes very similar to pecan pie. I would definitely recommend the dessert tart.

Was suggested this place by several who had heard this was "the" place to go in North Atlanta. We get there, and the reservation was messed up. It took 20 minutes to clean off a table. The food had too much focus on being exotic looking and pretty, not enough on execution and flavor: the kebab meat was bland, tough, and overcooked. The pistachio ice cream we had for dessert had so much rosewater that it tasted like dish soap. Beyond that, the atmosphere was dreadful, more like a nightclub than a fine-dining establishment: discotech/house music thumping in the background, and noise levels loud enough that you had to shout to be heard by the person next to you. I do not recommend.

We booked Rumi's for a girl's night out and it was the perfect choice! They were extremely busy, so we were smart to have made a reservation. We had a short wait and then were seated... outside. At first we were worried, as it was cold outside. However, the setup with heat lamps and a small fireplace made for a cozy and intimate setting. The service from the wait staff, led by Carlos, was impeccable! He was attentive, gave good recommendations and made our visit extra special. We had the Chicken Barg, the seabass and the lamb chops. We'll definitely come back to Rumi's!

This is a terrific Persian restaurant located in Midtown. The menu is decently extensive and varied, and the food is outstanding. Service is quite good too, and the setting is nice and reasonably quiet. I would happily return.

Rumi’s is a very good restaurant with efficient and professional service. The food is very interesting- it is not entirely Persian and combines some Lebanese dishes. For starters we had the hummus with meat - traditionally in Lebanon this is made with lamb whereas the twist at Rumi’s is that it’s with merguez which we found a bit overpowering. The date salad was divine as were the jumbo shrimps. The aubergine dish was ok and the fattoush was bland. Their fresh baked bread is very good and comes with a bit of cheese, olives and herbs when you are first seated but the portions are really for one person and doesn’t work when you are four! For the mains we had the lentil rice with raisins along with the sea bass - both of which were really delicious. We chose the Iranian ice cream sandwich for dessert and that was a big disappointment- unless you are a great fan of cardamom. A very enjoyable evening overall though a bit noisy.

We were in town for the weekend and a friend recommended. The food and service at the Sandy Springs location was exceptional. The roasted red pepper hummus with smoked salmon small plate was delicious. The dinner portions were large enough to share. Ordered the lamb kabob and the citrus chicken kabob and for dessert the vanilla cardamom cake with Persian tea- Wow!!! So good Just keep in mind it is a bit loud.

The food was excellent, with a great variety of wines and cocktails. The only negative was that it's so good I could not stop eating. Ate too much

D-Labne Tomato was to die for, perfect warm and smooth. We ordered Sea bass and D lahmac Lamb, rumis trat to go with spinach salad.Server Josue G was amazing and had really good recommendations. pricesa was pretty reasonable and came up 100 bucks for 2 of us.Really good atmosphere and fun place with delicious food.

Other than very loud atmosphere this was very good food and service. I had waggo beef was excellent as was all other dishes our table had. Even though they were busy never felt rushed.

very good food - super delicious - can't wait to come back just wil dine at the other locations bring more people so you can share more food great service and drinks The staff is very helpful and caring did not like the/ this location too loud inside and out too crowded and the chairs and tables are too close

Ate here last week in Mid town. My third visit but my first for lunch. Awesome experience. The restaurant is pretty loud but you quickly forget that as the food comes. We started with a terrific hummus and pita. I’ve had the salmon hummus but this time tried the mushroom hummus. So good , I almost couldn’t eat anything else. Then I tried the kale salad. Baby kale with grapefruit. Couldn’t have been any better. Great attentive service. Will eat here plenty for sure

We enjoyed a girls’ night out at Rumi’s in Atlanta. Great vibe, excellent service, delicious cocktails - key ingredients for a fun night! Entrees are delicious and large, you can easily share one portion among 2-3 people. Highly recommend!

We had a family birthday party for lunch and ordered many plates family style. The place has a comfortable and fun atmosphere. We enjoyed sea bass, salmon, and veggies. Excellent service from our waitstaff. Thanks!

We had a lovely meal here. The atmosphere is vibrant. Service was good. Alas one meal was served cold but it was quickly replaced. Would recommend but note it is quite expensive.

I was in town with the family and wanted to explore the ATL dining scene. We were a table of five, the ambiance was intimate, and the service was solid. For apps, we ordered the criminal mushroom hummus and grilled vegetables...both were very good! The entrees consisted of roasted lamb neck, Duck and pomegranate stew---both served with an outstanding plate of Persian rice. Finally, two of us shared the lamb kebab plate, which was not only perfect for two but another outstanding dish. The meal was accompanied by a bottle of red from Lebanon. We capped the evening with a nice pistachio gelato. All in all, it was a culinary experience of Middle Eastern cuisine that hit the mark!

This was our second time visiting Rumi’s in Midtown, and we we just as amazed as the first time. The service is simply the best. It’s like a pit crew of 3-4 people handling your table, so nothing is missed. The food is fresh and portions generous. We always get 2nd meals out of what we order. We will be back!

A very nice place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is great, as is the service. A minus for the lack if Vegan and vegetarian options

This is a beautiful, delicious, Persian restaurant! All the disges were absolutely amazing! The knafe is my favorite. Persian tea was goid too!

5pm seating on Sat and left at 7pm with ears ringing. Had to YELL at each other across the table to be heard and manager did not care. 2pm Sunday brunch the prior week was fine. Server Chantal was very nice. But her recommendation of medium for lamb rack which was supposed to be pink/red came out pink only at the bone. All 3 orders of lamb for party of 6 were over cooked. LOVED the charred tomato salad which does not taste charred at all and would make a meal of that if I ever return. Date and spinach salad also tasty.

I went to the Rumi’s in Alpharetta. My wait person was Chris. The food in so good and many things are explained by staff. The staff is very friendly and attentive, always helpful. The space is attractive. This was my second trip to the restaurant and I will be returning.
Great Experience
Rumi's Kitchen is a must-visit restaurant that offers a delightful blend of Persian cuisine and warm hospitality. Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity. The complimentary bread and mixed vegetables started our meal on a high note. The Shirin was a burst of amazing flavors, while the Lamb Kabob was perfectly grilled and accompanied by flavorful sides. Our server, Maria, provided excellent service, and the attention to detail from the staff enhanced our experience. Don't miss the delicious Rumi's Tart for dessert. Overall, Rumi's Kitchen offers an exceptional dining experience that combines flavors, service, and ambiance beautifully.
