The menu is creative, the food is pretty good, and the waitstaff is friendly and welcoming. Nothing is pretentious. Vegetarians will find a bunch of choices.

No markdowns! Great service by Johnny. Salmon Burger was tasty (Johnny warned us that it was spicy!) Great outdoor atmosphere! We’d both come here again.

This is the best place we visited in LA and we had to keep coming back. It's so good we took an Uber from Downtown LA just to have one more dinner there! Seriously, the staff here is super friendly and the food is delicious and not served in enormous unfinishable quantities, so you can actually enjoy several fantastic courses without dropping dead. Brunch is awesome, desserts are not to be missed and sangria pitchers are a must. I miss this place 😥

I think this is one of the hidden gems in Hollywood. Great deck, great service and a chef that make insanely great food that isn't "tiny" food! They have an herb garden and a great back patio. I love the food. We had our company party here we loved it so much. I took off one star because they changed the chocolate cake which was DIVINE! Red pepper and toffee and pistachios - bring it back!!

such a nice restaurant! friendly server, staff, cute decor, comfortable ambience, and good taste. Especially I recommend vegetable option. They serve high quality and fresh vegetable. We ordered some kind of vegetable option and these are perfect everything! "Farm Vegetable" is served each vegetable in rotation everyday, we tried zucchini, butter squash and broccoli for three days. I wasn't be able to decide which was the best. Everything made me happy :)♡ During the trip in LA, It happened that we found here. At first we didn't expected having dinner in this restaurant every night :) I will definitely come back again when I go to LA.

We are on holidays in LA for a few days and we just wanted to have something simple but tasty. This place just fit into our expectations so nicely! Very nice and tasty food!! Funky atmosphere and very nice and chatty staff! Great place for a fun night out with friends!! Great way to end our first day in LA

I visited here with my boyfriend and would highly recommend. We had a meal with drinks on a Friday night, the place was busy but we still managed to get a table quickly. I ordered from the main menu and my boyfriend got the set menu. All courses were absolutely delicious, the starters are served cold, I had the duck main which was gorgeous. The staff were really friendly and helpful, lots of choice on the menu, great service, reasonable prices, would definitely recommend!

The service (thanks Kelsey) and food was excellent. Kelsey and others were cordial, attentive and timely. They opened with a very important question, were we attending the Pantages. The outdoor setting in late afternoon was great. We tried 4 appetizers and all were good but the lamb chops with tamarind sauce and the Shrimp Gambas with tomatoes and chili de arbol stood out from the others. The main dishes were well prepared. Braised short ribs with plaintains and chipolte adobadoe, Duck confit Kak'ik, flat iron steak and pan seared Salmon with eggplant mole

After eating lots of junk food on our trip to LA, we were looking for a healthy meal, and we got it here. We had starters and salads, and everything was delicious. Even our teenager loved it and she's not usually a beets-on-quesadilla kind of person.

Really great dinner tonight, everyone was happy with what they received. Service was good and attentive. Right in the heart of the action. It’s worth a visit.

This restaurant was a delight. It doesn’t look super promising from the outside, but don’t let that put you off. Once inside the welcome was warm, the courtyard of tables was cool and relaxed, and the menu intriguing. The food was superb, with imaginative dishes put together using interesting flavours and combinations. I had the salmon with an apple risotto and it was excellent. My family enjoyed their lamb tagine, chicken and fettuccine too. All were well presented, and offered different flavours from dishes you might have tried before. We also enjoyed some great cider and beer which set the food off well. All in all it was an excellent experience, and the bill was reasonable too. Well done to the staff, keep up the good work!

We stopped in for tapas--the have a very nice list. And the Gambas was fabulous. Oh, the white sangria was also very good.

I think we found this place through yelp. I was curious about the salt cod churros and so we went ahead made a reservation. It’s a nice casual place. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. We sat outdoor and the music was playing - not loud just right. People around appears to be having a great time. Food- oh yes! It was excellent. Enjoyed my dinner and felt happy about this nice place tucked in all of the Hollywood craziness.

Excellent! Home, dishes, drinks, musical atmosphere,... French touch in LA ❤️ Small terrace sheltered, fresh and vegetable

A very nice selection of flavorful tapas-style dishes. Interesting flavors and pretty presentations. The recommended corn tostadas were a disappointment but lamb chops duck confit dishes were delicious, as was the simple chocolate pudding.

It is a lovely outdoor garden ambience, with a surprising level of solitude as it's on Cahuenga. The staff is so polite and friendly. While it wasn't quite what I was looking for in Sunday brunch cuisine, the food was inventive, balanced and delicious, the presentation was pleasing, and the coffee exemplary.

Fabulous food in a cozy environment. Our host was most gracious and suggested several items from the menu and we enjoyed every bite. We enjoyed their calamari (perfectly cooked with tasty sauces) and the Green salad with fresh peaches & green apple. Then we were encouraged to try the Gaemba - shrimp dish with cherry tomatoes and toasty bread slices. Amazing. Finally we had the lamp lollipops - scrumptious! We were treated like old friends even though we had just walked in off the street. If you’re in the area, go - you’ll be amazed!

The good news is that the food is awesome! The menu is somewhat eclectic, but you will be able to find something fairly standard, if you don't want to sample some of their unique fare (e.g. many different types of tostada appetizers). We were quite pleased with the salmon and steak frites. They have a small but adequate beer and wine menu. I found the service to be excellent and very friendly. Finally, the bread pudding dessert was the best, but, sadly, I forget to snap a photo of it. 😊 The restaurant itself is a little quirky. The actual building is quite small and most of the table seating is in a converted parking lot with an awning overhead. There are only two small, individual bathrooms, so you may need to wait in line like I did. Reservations are recommended on weekend nights.

While headed into West Hollywood for an amazing showing of "Hamilton", I looked for a great restaurant within walking distance of the Pantages Theater. The Running Goose did not disappoint us with it's location, staff, menu, and prices. First, we felt welcome. Some of the unique eating locations in the "Wood", can be stuffy. Not the Running Goose. I loved the grilled corn tostadas as an appetizer. My braised rib chilaquiles were fantastic. I only wish I had room to try their desserts. Did I mention our fantastic Armenian server was friendly, genuine and attentive. So, I will happily return but I was advised Friday and Saturday will require reservations.

This is one of these places that you hope you find. It's in a little tiny building by itself in the middle of Los Angeles. Not very many tables. And the food will knock your socks off. Very creative. Innovative. Delicious.

Wow! We had a fantastic dinner here last night! They have a beautiful patio space - definitely sit outside if you can. We ordered a number of dishes to share, as my daughter has not experienced the joy that is tapas! The pork belly is an absolute winner! Rich and delicious, fatty and meaty and YUM. The brie was a very nice mix of the sweet and savory - DD snapped up the roasted garlic with delight! Corn and radish tostadas were great - especially the corn. Pollo Hermana - very very good! A nice mix of flavors. The duck was my absolute favorite! Crispy skin, perfect seasoning, hearty and filling. Dessert time! Creme brûlée was a little looser than we'd like, but the berries on top were a great addition. Banana split was delicious! An unusual combination with blueberries. The bread pudding totally blew us away! Not too sweet, a delicious burnt-sugar flavor. A delightful end to a great meal.

Running Goose is ever so pretty. From the exterior to the wonderful interior you will be happy. The place is spotless. This is a Latin place, but don't get your head stuck there. There are so many things to have. The service is great. They get to you right away and check on you. Parking is valet for a fee. The food is just great. We have had Duck, Confit duck leg, oven baked sweet potato, rapini, carrot puree and cherry port wine reduction. It was so tender and tasty. It is hard to get a great duck. We also loved the short rib, braised, chipotle adobado, pickled red onion, garden herbs, queso, and a wonderful crisp corn tortilla. Their salads are great try the kale salad with garlic bacon dressing, smoked bacon, parmesan, panko, and white anchovies. Dessert is very good. We had Horchata Creme Brule with Crushed almonds, and blueberries. Have the best dinner.

I was intrigued by the description of the Cactus salad so I ordered it. Wonderful!! Fresh and very tasty. The table also shared the Fish Churros which were delicious. We. sat outside and the service was friendly and efficient.

We chose this restaurant because it was close to the Pantages. The prices are reasonable. It has gender neutral bathrooms. The portions are small, The salmon belly sandwich is the best deal on The menu. It’s crispy and juicy, I would cut down on the pickled peppers on it. There were big chunks that overpowered it.

Convenient Hollywood neighborhood comfort food restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Heat lamps provide warmth outside in winter, so a nice place to hang. Food good. A little pricey but not outrageous. Wine by the glass of course will add to the tab since each glass is $13-14. Plenty of metered parking in the area.

A real gem, a restaurant with a pleasant, quiet terrace, yet right next to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Boulevard. A very friendly welcome, a variety of excellent dishes served to a background of French music! A place to recommend if you want to eat in peace and quiet in this hectic neighbourhood!

I really hoped I would like this restaurant. It’s because I am a season ticket holder at Pantages theater, and I am always looking for a restaurant near the theater. It is a brisk 8 minute walk from the theater, the restaurant is divided into an “indoor” and “outdoor” areas. I reserved for 6 people, but they said “we overbooked” so we ended up in the outdoor area, not good if the ouside temperature is a sweltering 100 degress. Then the food— our group ordered a variety of entrees, all of them sub par. From the appetizers to the main course, their food is uninspired. We ordered the short ribs, lamb and salmon. First mistake is the plating of their food. They are all served in a bowl, all the ingredients and flavors kinda blend into one. Some sort of chaotic amalgamate of essence. And it is so salty too, which could have been overlooked if not for mistake number two—the lack of starch— rice or potato would be perfect. What is not ok is to force your customers to have a paleo diet while eating at your restaurant. Overall, I was really disappointed with this restaurant. I really wanted it to be a restaurant that I can go to before watching a show.

My family and I dined at Running Goose - what a treat! Inventive cooking with the freshest ingredients. The restaurant has its own herb and vegetable garden, can't get any fresher than that. My niece and I both had burgers cooked to perfection. The tostada appetizers were delicious, especially the roasted corn and the radish. Smoked new potatoes had a perfect flavoring. My brother had the duck confit and his wife the grilled octopus - both thoroughly enjoyed them. Friendly staff and I thought the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommend Running Goose!

It is pretty hard to find decent tasting food so close to such an touristic place. We had some oustanding vegetables and a burger. I have to say the food madenitbwell up in our hitlist of organic places to eat here in U.S. Well done! The neghbouhood looks hip, lofts and little cafes, places loke this are popping up in between former industrial area. Nice atmosphere.

It's a nice place with an outdoor terrace, with very nice ambiance (wood materials, gas fireplace and heating). The staff couldn't be more kind and friendly (like in the whole US), and welcomed us with a big smile. We were a party of 5, and then we started ordering. For starters we asked for a kale salad to share, and then we ordered the mains. The kale salad was tasty. My main was a Flat Iron Steak (valued in $24). The meat was away from being soft or tender, and it had little side food. For the price I was expecting more, or maybe I was unlucky (my friends ate the Gnocchi and Duck Confit, and didn't complained). Since I was starving, I asked a recommendation for a starter, and the waitress told me her favourite was the carrot tostada. When it arrived, it was so disappointing and so bad that I can't describe. $3 for a piece of a wholegrain toast with basic and boring sliced carrot on top was a little too much. The wine was good, but overpriced ($38 a bottle from California is wayyyyyy to much), so I recommend you to stick to beer or water. Regarding dessert, and since the experience and prices were uninviting, we asked for the check without eating it, and even so, we paid $35/person. General - overpriced food and wine for the quality they offer. If I'm asked if I would go there again, I would say no. Sorry.

This is primarily outdoor seating / not much to look at location (though liked the onsite herb garden) but the menu was pretty good and the staff was knowledgeable & friendly. Appetizers were particularly good, salt cod churros (shaped like a churro), arugula tostada, fried brioche and carrot tostada all excellent and shareable. Lamb, flank steak and papaya salad all flavorful and well prepared. Decent beer and wine selection.

Overall, my group had a great experience dining before catching Cabaret at the Pantages nearby. We all decided on the $29 Dine L.A. Week menu, and we all felt that we had enough choices and that it was good value for the money. Among our group, we ordered the zucchini starter or the quinoa starter, and we were all pleased. I had the zucchini, and was relieved that it wasn't overdressed, as some places can be heavy-handed with that. The spiced sunflower seeds on it were delicious. Four out of five of us ordered the salmon entree. I requested that it be cooked medium-well rather than the recommended medium-rare, and it was perfect for my tastes. The accompanying lentils were tasty but maybe a bit of a heavy match for the salmon, but this is a nit-pick. Dessert was fabulous! Three plantains and two creme brulees were ordered, and none of us was disappointed. Good texture, nice crispiness to the plantains, good flavors...wish I could have finished it! Service started off very attentive but really declined after entrees were served. We had to seek out a server to bus our entree plates and serve dessert, explaining that we had a play to catch, but even then we had to hunt out a server again to get the bill. But service early in the evening was fine.

$15 for lunch during LA Dine week with everything organic and local. Central location in Hollywood, small interior and patio would be nice in cooler weather. Fixed up but could use new banquettes which were ripped. Overall a nice lunch, food was good and interesting.

This restaurant is great for before a show at the Pantages. It has a good food, interesting appetizers, and beer and wine. The only qualm I have about this place is I felt like we were rushed a bit. We made our reservation for 545, and we had an 8pm show. We were ready to relax a bit and enjoy ourselves. Instead, we ate appetizers, dinner, and dessert in 45 minutes. Additionally, the second we ordered dessert our bill arrived before the dessert even came out! I get that they need to flip tables, but don't treat your current customers poorly for the sake of getting us out. To me service is just as important as the food and I'm 50/50 on if I'd return because I didn't feel valued for the approx. $100 I spent.

If you are visiting Hollywood walk a few blocks away from all the crowds and find this place. The food was so good and the service was fantastic! I had an appetizer, entree, and 2 beers for about $32. Highly recommended!!

Had the special appetizer of poached Carrots. Delicious!! Then the lamp chops to follow. Again, delicious! Great little spot with super friendly waitstaff

A culinary haven centrally located in Hollywood. Large, outdoor patio overlooking their organic vegetable garden. Everything I ate was delicious. Very comfortable atmosphere... relaxed yet invigorating. Highly recommended!

This is a pretty small restaurant., with most seats outdoors. Food and service was great and this is one of those places where you can enjoy your food and have a great conversation. Lots of groups and families while we were there The one thing we did not like , was how our clothes smelled once we left. We’ve been seated indoors and the kitchen ventilation is not that good, with lots of smoke and smell making it to the dining area There is metered parking on the street, taking coins and credit cards , and a very small paid lot right beside the restaurant entrance door cash only .

Everything about our evening at Running Goose was perfect, from the warm welcome from the owner when we wandered in unannounced, until we regretfully left for our hotel. The patio ambience was a perfect combination of serenity and fun. The menu was a perfect combination of familiar and interesting, with enough choice to make us wish we could come again. And the flavors were scrumptious. We were glad we chose the fettuccine and the lamb tangine, but it was that evening's "farm vegetable" (savory carmelized roasted carrots) that our server recommended that knocked our socks off. Oh...and the pavlova for dessert was out of this world. On top of all this, the staff were cordial and informative without being chummy. In short, we could not have asked for a better experience!

It appears this is a place for movie folks to hang out. On one side there was a conversation between a director and an actor about their next movie and behind us a woman talked about the head shots she had just done. It was a cool night to be sitting outside, but the heat lamps did a good job of keeping us comfortable. We had the duck confit and short ribs, both served in a bowl, and enjoyed both. We probably should have ordered some vegetables to help temper the richness of the meat. The service was good, and our waiter even provided us our dessert free after the kitchen overlooked the order. The restaurant was definitely worth going to.

This is such a great find, a lovely restaurant with an outside seating area shaded by trees. The menu is really interesting and eclectic, we had lamb chops, an excellent beetroot gazpacho and fettuccine. All delicious. We also had the loveliest waitress called Angela who helped us with the menu (we were horribly jet lagged) and just made the whole experience delightful. Highly recommended.

We walked in and the place was packed on a wed but we still got a table and it wasn’t noisy. I actually ordered a few starters as they looked really tasty-the Gambas was my favorite- spicy and flavorful. The salmon belly sandwich is great value. Staff were very friendly and food came really fast! I have just enough room to try the Chocolate taco Sunday.........or the strawberry pie🤪 Ok post desert-the strawberry pie wins but the chocolate taco was bomb too

The churros, quinoa and duck is very delicious. We also the burger and did not let us down. We will come back again for sure

The food was fresh and delicious, but the outside area was tired and dirty. I felt like it needed a good sweep and mop - it was just grubby which was a shame as food was good.

After reading another 1-star review, I see that I am not alone in the artrocious treatment my guest and I received at this restaurant. I did a LOT research for a restaurant to take a dear friend on Valentine's Day. I chose this restaurant because of its location, its offer outdoor seating, and SPECIFICALLY because when I called to inquire, I was told one could order off the regular menu that night. (My friend's 90 years old, and eats very little for dinner. Moreover, we only had an hour to eat, as we had tickets for a show.) When we arrived, we were presented with a 5-course prix fixe menu. I politely explained the situation to our servier, and she said she'd see what could be arranged. The next thing I knew, the proprietor came to the table, and brusquely told us they were ONLY serving the prix fixe meal. I again explained the situation, and asked if perhaps we could simply order a couple of items from that menu. He bluntly refused, and said if we didn't like it, we were free to eat elsewhere. (This, at 7 pm on Valentine's eve.) Needless to say, I was speechless. At this point, the other diners were listening, and so he asked me to step into the other room -- where he proceeded to suggest that I was lying (!), and reiterated that we should go somehwere else. (!!) In the hundreds (thousands?) of restaurants I've dined at all over the world, I've NEVER experienced such incredibly rude behavior. (Nor had my poor friend, who was shaken by the whole situation. Would it have mattered that he was an Academy Award winning actor -- which he is? Probably not.) This owner clearly has NO respect for his customers and should be ashamed by his shoddy behavior. Unlike the other, if I could give this place ZERO stars, I would.

We saw some positive reviews of Running Goose and decided to try it. We got some of their signature dishes – the appetizer adult fish sticks, the shrimp aioli and the short ribs. The short ribs were fabulous – something to definitely go back for. Fall off the bone deliciously spiced. I took some home for later and it was great. They have a small restaurant inside with a large fabulous patio outside hidden from the street. The weather was kind of cool when we went there in February but the heaters were on and it was very comfortable. I will definitely go back.

We chose this restaurant by chance and were delighted. Great atmosphere, good, friendly service and delicious food. I chose the lamb tagine which was beautifully tender with wonderful flavours enhanced by fresh mint and coriander. My husband had the burger, which came perfectly cooked (medium-rare) and so-hard-to-resist fries. Sadly, we had no room for dessert. Plenty of parking close by made for an excellent evening. Would definitely return to try more of their gorgeous dishes.

One of the best dinners we've had in ages!!! Everything we ate was top notch: the Crispy Calamari was light, fresh and indeed crispy, the Game Lettuce salad tasty and refreshing, the Short Rib served almost like a dip in a rich, plentiful, flavorful sauce, the Duck perfectly seasoned and cooked with delicious sweet potatoes both sliced and pureed, but outstanding amongst it all were the Gambas - that shrimp dish was life-changing good. Drive over the hill just to eat it good. Will order it every time I go there (and for sure I will be back) good. Also, the white sangria was amazing with sweet spices added to the fruity flavor and the service was great, too.

Went for dinner while staying in Hollywood. They were slow so being a walkin on a Wednesday was okay. There was a guy doing valet parking in the lot next to the restaurant for $10 to 15 which was great so I didn't have to look for parking. Small inside seating and larger outside patio. I would have given 4 stars but the service was so bad that I wont go back even tough the food was amazing. Coffee flat iron steak was like butter soft and juicey. Lamb chops were also delicious.

This place is such a peaceful respite from the hustle, bustle and general filth of Hollywood. The food was great, including fresh ingredients and clever flavor combinations. Saved our afternoon.

Running Goose is a unique spot with tasty food offerings that was in easy walking distance from the Pantages Theatre and most venues in the middle of Hollywood. We loved their upscale vegetarian Mexican-centric options including the Smoked Beet Quesadilla and the Corn and Carrot Tostadas. All three had great flavor and were presented nicely too. The Smoked Potatoes dish was pretty crave-worthy as well. Lots of smoked flavor on little potatoes. There are a handfull of other vegetarian options including a Tomato Tostado from the "firsts" menu, salads, and a couple of interesting looking mains like the Chèvre Gnochhi, and Vegan Pesto Vindaloo. We'd love to come back and try them all. The staff also seemed genuinely happy that we were there with big smiles and a general air of gratitude. This is a nice place, with good tasting and unique foods. Well worth checking out. P.S. We closed our meal with the Horchata Creme Brule which was a nice re-invention of that classic dessert. Yum!

We chose this restaurant for lunch as having the most welcoming reviews in the neighborhood we were visiting, among the restaurants serving lunch. I rarely write reviews, but this meal was worth the effort. Although they have a broad enough menu to please all omnivores (including my wife), their selection of a few vegan friendly options, provided me with taste sensations i have never had before. On scale of 1 to 5, it was a 6.

There is a relaxed vibe here, with a not too extensive but excellent Mediterranean menu. Everything ordered was absolutely great, with especially high marks for lamb tagine. One Pavlova dessert can easily satisfy 3 people.

Great reception, super tasty food and fast delivery. Really good vegan options too. Highly recommend.

We made reservations at this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night prior to attending a play at the Pantages. Reviews were fairly good, and we like trying new restaurants. I will say that my negative review is not related to the food. We ordered the Gambas (shrimp in a garlic sauce), which was a little too spicy hot for my taste (and slightly overpriced for an appetizer). The main dishes were good (Spare Ribs and Salmon), as was the desert. All in all, no complaints about the food. The problem was with our bill. I left our server an 18.5% tip (charged to CC) but apparently that was not sufficient enough to satisfy the young lady's expectation. The restaurant overcharged my credit card, I assume that it had to be intentional as it would have been difficult to accidentally transcribe the numbers to the resulting charge. It really is a shame, we liked the food and the patio atmosphere for dining, but there is no way that we will eat at the Running Goose again. When I hand my credit card to the waiter/waitress at a restaurant I expect them to treat me with integrity. The amount of the overcharge is inconsequential (essentially the waitress increased her tip to 26.3%), but lack of trust is hard to overlook.

Just off the busiest parts of Hollywood is this oasis of good food and drinks with nice outdoor garden seating. Don't be fooled by the empty seats - we went for a late lunch 3pm ish. We had Tostados then baked Brie with apricots and the honey whiskey pork toast with salad instead of fries - all from the lunch menus and all great. I had a Germantown IPA and ordered a second d one because it was so good. This place e is a gem in LA.

Food outstanding. Atmosphere a bit funky, when entered not so sure. Side outside area nicer. Blown away by the excellent food choices. Some surprising like lavender on top of the Brie with jam. The white chocolate bread pudding with Carmel the hands down winner of any bread pudding I have had in the last year! Pork sandwich excellent as well!! Valet parking next to it for $10 not connected with them. Be warned. Would definitely eat here again!

This restaurant is worth a visit. There were 4 of us and we each had something different. Each meal was delicious. I had the Lamb Tangine it was juicy and a party for the mouth.. service is great. Totally wonderful experience.

Reviewed many places close to the Pantages theater for dinner and decided on this gem. Felt like I was on a friends deck, but in the heart of LA. Planters abound with fresh herbs, strawberry plants and the large garden appears to have squash blooming and Sunflowers towering. The white sangria was fruity, but not too sweet. Wanting a light meal before the theater I had the Cactus Salad and Baked Brie. The Salad was a plentiful combination of arugula, fried cabbage, paper then Red radishes, cactus, pepitas and cotija cheese. A citrus lime dressing finish things off in a way I never looked for the Salt & Pepper. The Brie was in a cast iron skillet with baked garlic and pepitas again. Baguette slices were the perfect vessel for the sweet and savory. My other half had the pork appetizer and the duck chancla with fresh made corn tortilla, black beans and duck. Desert for me was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with an affagado shot of espresso. The ice cream taco was served across the table and Devine. Service was attentive by all staff, all chipping in as a team. Great find! Enjoy.

Cute place. The inside is a bit small but they have a nice patio with heaters. I had the gnocchi which were fine. Not to die for - I tiny bit bland. I felt the same way about the corn tostada. My friend had the red sangria which was only $5 for happy hour and she really liked it. The best part? The fries! They were soooo good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, piping hot and seasoned perfectly. One order is enough for 2-3 people but our table of 4 had to order another because they were so yummy. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. I would go here again if catching a show in the area.

Enjoyed everything we had, especially the pollo. Fresh, tasty arugula and papaya salad. Baked brie, apricot and garlic was yummy. Delightfully delicious Sangria took us by surprise. Casual and cozy inside, and outside covered seating with a firepit. We're out of towners, but hope to be back often.

Very casual tiny place near the Pantages Theater. Both of us had salads. My granddaughter had the papaya salad with chicken and I and the zucchini/arugula salad with salmon. Mine was excellent. Everything perfectly fresh and a great dressing and slightly under cooked salmon. Very good service, too. Everyone quick and friendly.

Went back several times in my short stay as food so healthy and delicious. Customer service was incredibly warm and helpful!

We went to the running goose after we have read the very positive reviews on TripAdvisor, but we're very disappointed. We sat outside, which was nice by the fire. We ordered the salted cod churros as starter, and that was the highlight of the evening. Interesting and good taste. For main we took a burger each, and unfortunetly it didn't taste much (and it came on a very small plate which made the high burger difficult to eat) where the bacon was mostly fat, and ended with a rubbery unseasoned apple pie. Al this ended up with $75 and was so not worth the money, atleast $30 to much compared with the quality of food. The food did its job and made us full, but not more. But i must say the service was good, friendly towards "over the top".

Great service from Lizette who was really patient with a couple of not so informed informed tourists from Australia.....thanks. We had the salt cod churros, what a relevation, and pork belly pincho. I can’t remember the last time I had Pork this tasty or soft without it completely falling apart. Mains were lamb tostada and the braised short rib , both divine in their own way. We could have easily just shared one main between us as both were more than generous in serve size. Great selection of local ( ish) craft beer which made a great experience fantastic

Stumbled upon this place while walking down Hollywood Blvd with a few friends. The outdoor seating is so cute and intimate with a few small fire pits. The food was very tasty and fresh as they are known for their use organic ingredients. I highly recommend the corn tostada, cod churros and the smoked pork sandwich and always get the French fries with the sandwiches. Some of the best French fries I've ever had!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal in the patio area of the Running Goose. All the items on the menu reflected creative culinary art, each sounds delicious, and the ones we had really were. The wine list is also very well selected and the ones we enjoyed were excellent. The atmosphere is great, the service is attentinve and the prices are reasonabe.

Got reservations on a Monday at 7:15. Probably didn’t need them, but I like to be polite to the servers. Had a desire for a burger. Gringo burger was awesomely messy!!! Outside and indoor tables. Will return.

We booked Running Goose on the basis of positive reviews, having looked for a good restaurant local to our hotel and were not disappointed. Even though it was a mid-week night, we were I think surprised that - one table aside - we were the only diners, though understood that we arrived near to the time (9pm) that the kitchen closed. So while it was all done politely, there was a gentle encouragement to order as soon as we could. That said, all of us were more than happy with the dishes we chose, which the restaurant describes accurately as 'Californian comfort food'. Mine was an excellent gnocchi dish - Masa Gnocchi - (possibly the best gnocchi I've ever tasted) - beautifully prepared and generously portioned. Add to that a great and reasonably-priced selection of beers and wines, great service and a very cool urban vibe environment, it has to be said I'd happily return here again and again.

This is the type of restaurant we want to like and encourage. No crab cakes, ceasar salad, or fried calamari here. The menu is thoroughly original and eclectically mixes different kinds of foods and tastes. The line up of tapas on little tortillas (tostadas) was excellent. Any of them are fresh and original. The salt cod churros sounded better then they ended up being, too strong. Kale salad - very good. Salmon sandwich well received as was the Benedict. Sangria well balanced. Those in our part who got burgers thought they were outstanding. Duck confit did not merit a good review by our resident confit guru. The good news is that they are exploring and venturing out. That’s always fun. You can either take a chance or something or dive into tostadas and enjoy.

Eat inside or outside in a lovely patio with heat lamps. They even have a dramatic raised fire pit. Service is good. Imaginative comfort food menu. I had a very good burger. My friends lamb stew was quite tasty...maybe a tad dry. The carrot fries were delicious. Great neighborhood find. Street parking. Be careful to read the signs. Many blocks are tow away zones in the evening.

Our family ate at this restaurant after walking along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's a little off the beaten path, but what a wonderful experience! Previous reviews had warned not to let the entrance scare you off and they were right. The entrance to the Running Goose is a little neglected, but keep on going because it's the patio that you're looking for. Food is on the gourmet side but not overpriced. Wait staff was attentive and delightful. Wonderful experience. Favorite restaurant on our trip to Los Angeles.

We had 4 for dinner and decided on small plates. What a great decision! We tried 5-6 appetizers and had 3 main dishes. Everyone had their favorites, mine being the gnocchi. We ended with 2 dessert choices. Our waiter was very attentive. We will definitely go back in our next LA visit.

Enjoyed the food and ambiance at this place. So many places around Hollywood were loud and noisy. This place to sit on the patio and enjoy your meal without other noise blasting was a delight. We split the burger and the quinoa salad. Both were delicious. We took the red line so we didn’t have to deal with parking.

Interesting menu and slightly trendy atmosphere for a light meal. Good place to share small plates. The lamb chop appetizer was fine, but tasty.

Fantastic, wonderful, beautiful, amazing (I can keep going) place. Really true and amazing food. Perfect service, nice patio to sit outside too. I recommend this place to everyone (families, business meetings, friends...)

OMG - we discovered a fabulous new restaurant tonight! The Running Goose is understated and friendly while offering "over the top" food. Three of us ordered different items from the most interesting menu and we were thrilled with everything. Stephen, our server, was AMAZING. When we asked him about the Beet Quinoa Salad, he was able to tell us exactly how it was made (our daughter said it was wonderful, by the way). I had the agave chicken and I think it was the best chicken I've ever had! My husband ordered the flatiron steak which he also loved. We started out with three different tostadas and they were fresh and tasty....We will go back for sure.

Went here for brunch about 12:00 on a Sunday. Not at all crowded. Ate outside which was very nice. They have planters of the herbs they use scattered about in the dining area which is a nice touch. I had the the Devils Eggs which were out of this world. Very unique and tasty. My husband had the Chicken Torta sandwich which was also very tasty, but we both liked mine better. We liked this place enough we hoped to come back but just didn't have enough time. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect place to accommodate our party of 9 on their lovely outdoor patio for a pre-theatre dinner! Great food and service. Something for everyone.

My friend and I had a day at the spa, so I needed a local restaurant in the Hollywood area that was not packed with tourist like spots on H&H. After reading reviews on Yelp, and the idea of Salt Cod Churros intrigued me to no end, I booked for a midday lunch. We ordered a load of tapas to keep it simple: Salt Cod Churros shouldn't work but man does it ever! Crispy but creamy on the inside, perfectly salty - I'd go back for the churros alone. Radish tostada was amazing, so much refreshing flavor in just a few ingredients. The shrimp was nice a plump, I think a few more shrimp would have been nice but the tomatoes were excellent and the garlic infused sauce... do yourself a favor and order extra bread! Finally, the brie with honey was very good. For dessert, we had the apple pie and it was really good - phyllo dough is used instead of traditional crust which makes it feel lighter. And lastly, the big glass of cherry infused sangria for $6 was a steal. Excellent find - perfect for dinner before a movie at the Arclight.

We randomly chose the place on Google maps among several others, and what a great surprise ! Very cute place with top class food. Try their salads, all delicious and good portions for a healthy and filling lunch.

Came here two nights during a recent trip to Los Angeles—Right in West Hollywood, off the main streets, the restaurant has a large covered garden area for dining. Felt like you were in another world with lights strung up above and flowers and plants surrounding you. Global menu with Central American theme, very interesting dishes. Blends of flavors that were so wonderful on our first night, we returned to try more menu items. The small staff were so attentive and worked seamlessly together to take orders and serve. On second night, they recognized us and made us feel like regulars. Recommend highly.

Four of us ate a variety of dishes, sharing most of them. The salted cod was too salty, the salads were hot-spicy, the main dishes too quite a while to get to us, the patio was chilly and they never turned on the available overhead heaters. The younge two of us loved it, the older two of us did not so much.

The service and food was outstanding. This was the second time I’d eaten here and both times were great. I recommend the farm vegetable (it’s always different!) My friend had the lamb chops and she said they were the best she’d ever had.

The food, atmosphere and service at this restaurant is incredible. We shared the brie appetizer and short ribs - delicious. The white sangria was the perfect drink for enjoying on their darling patio. Patio has heaters and a fire pit for when the sun goes down. Just perfect!

Great setting, super food, amazing sangria and the service is impeccable 😊 Will definitely come back.

the servers are really friendly but professional, the suace is very cool and relaxed - the place just generally has a great vibe. We really loved the duck confit , seriously get it ! so damn good ,the duck melted in my mouth

Full of flavour and fresh ingredients. We shared some delicious small plates; the corn tostada had a beautiful chargrilled flavour and the smoked beet quesadilla were my favourites. The little courtyard hides you from the hustle and bustle. Service was excellent and the wine was very good too

When looking for restaurants that offer brunch within the Hollywood area, I came across this establishment. What stood out to me was that they offered brunch everyday, as well as bottomless mimosas. When trying a new restaurant, I make it a point to contact them beforehand in case their menu may have changed or altered. Before coming here, I called the establishment to confirm that they indeed do brunch and bottomless mimosas everyday. The man that answered (who I assume was the owner) clarified that this restaurant does bottomless mimosas from opening until the end of brunch, which he stated was at 3:30pm. I SPECIFICALLY asked if there were any limitations (i.e., time) on the bottomless mimosas and he stated that there was no limit except for that fact that their bottomless mimosas stop at the end of brunch. Mind you, if an establishment offers ANYTHING “bottomless” that means that you can drink as much as you like in exchange for a single payment, which in this case was listed as $30. This is common knowledge and not a foreign concept, therefore, this should go without saying…or so I thought. My two best friends and I arrived at this restaurant at approximately 1pm, excited to try their seemingly unique menu items and have as many mimosas as we could before the end of brunch time. When we arrived, there were approximately 8 people total (3 parties) dining there. We sat down and were provided with small cups of ice water and the waiter who appeared to be possibly the owner, took forever to come back. We literally had to attempt to get his attention 4-5 times before he decided to come back over. When he does return, he proceeds to tell us the menu specials and asked if we all wanted anything to drink. My best friend goes on to tell him that we were all going to do the bottomless mimosas and he proceeded to tell us that the bottomless mimosas were going to be a maximum of 5 glasses or a full bottle of champagne. I interjected and explained that I had called the establishment and spoke to a male who had stated to me that there were no limits on the bottomless mimosas, with the exception of it stopping at 3:30pm. The man confirmed that I had indeed spoken to him and proceeded to condescendingly “explain” to us what bottomless means. When attempting to “explain” the meaning of bottomless to us, he laughingly and erroneously stated that bottomless means the end of a bottle, not unlimited. I laugh at how dumb it sounds and he made it a point to tell me not to laugh because he’s ABC certified and “knows how this works”. I was taken aback by his rudeness and the audacity of this man to tell this grown woman to not laugh. He went on to continuously be rude and disrespectful to all three of us as we attempted to explain to him that we have never been to a restaurant that offers bottomless mimosas with a limit on the number of mimosas, only time. Needless to say, we told him that we would be going elsewhere, not because of the mimosas alone, but because of his rude, condescending and distasteful attitude. Do not patron this place, the owner is ignorant and appears to have issues with confident women who are obviously more intelligent than he is. After reading others’ negative reviews, process of elimination led me to determine that Arman was the individual who was so rude to us. Obviously, we were not the problem and I can only conclude he is a bitter, sad and lonely man that no one likes.

My family and I were recommended Running Goose by our hotel Dream around the corner. We were not disappointed!! Everything we ordered was amazing and super fresh ingredients! The icing on the cake was the strawberry cobbler and white chocolate bread pudding that was brought to us complimentary of the restaurant and Dream hotel. They were both to die for! We would highly recommend!!! The staff was amazing!

This is our go to local spot that we love to hit with friends. The food is always delicious and the price point is just where we like it. The majority of the restaurant is a lovely outdoor space (we try to sit by the fire pit) but we like sitting inside as well. We used to just walk in, but we were there on a Monday night and it was packed!

Brunch was very delicious. We came just when restaurant opened. We sat outside. Potato had a nice cover. Food was unique, presentation was nice, service was excellent. Definitely will visit again.

We were the first to walk in, place was empty but it was transitioning from lunch to dinner crowd. A few mins later table after table started popping up. Our server was super attentive, and her co-workers as well. Its rare to see team work now a days. Our server was completely knowledgeable on the menu, recommended the special of the day in detail and cocktail. Atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Cute little place for your afternoon sangria. Food is farm to table, organic GREAT !

Stumbled upon the Goose after visiting the Hollywood Farmers Market last Sunday morning. After a bit of a snafu with the valet, which the restaurant manager was quick to fix, we sat down to a lovely el fresco meal. Most of the restaurant is outside and serves as a nice oasis in one of the less green parts of town. They have their own planting beds on site just to increase the o2. It was a wonderful meal. Had the hash - beef carnitas, potatoes, red onion, jalapenos and poached eggs. Delightful and unexpected. The service was warm and crisp and the atmosphere was inviting. As another reviewer wrote, it's quite the gem. That being said, I'd give it 4.5, but always round up for a job well done.

Food was pretty good!! Always can use more tapas places in LA. Corn tostada, salad, and short ribs rocks Cods churro were fun to try but not something I'll crave

The Running Goose is a great find, and I don't think it will be long before a lot of people find it. Two blocks west of the Pantages Theater to Cahuenga and then a half block south, it is just a ten minute walk along Hollywood Blvd to the theater (anytime we can park once in Hollywood before a show gets bonus points). The restaurant is so low key and casual you can walk right past it, yet the patio is perfect for summer dining and extremely comfortable. This is not one of those places where you are so close to the next table you can hear someone else's conversation and we appreciate that. The menu is simple but expertly designed and the wait staff is over the top amazing. They happily explain every farm to table item to you and are extremely proud to be working here. Every ingredient is carefully selected and every herb is fresh from the local garden. Organic here is not a buzz word, it's the brand promise. The menu is not expansive but has enough choices for everyone, with a wide range of small tostada appetizers that are all hand made to a nice collection of salads and entrees. The brie as a starter was perfect along with the arugula/avocado tostadas, and we also enjoyed the roasted salmon. Wine by the glass is again a narrow selection with essentially one choice for each varietal, but each choice is carefully picked. There is a good selection of craft beer as well and some nice desserts which we didn't try. We didn't feel rushed at all sitting down at 6:30 with an easy curtain at 8:00pm. Again the service here is extraordinary, friendly, authentic, not at all pushy, and they want you back. We will be back!

We went to eat before a play at the Pantages Theater. It's just a short walk, and there is much to see on the way. The food was very good, and the menu varies depending on what is fresh. We had veggie taquitos, tomato tostada, gnocchi with shrimp. We ate outdoors since the outdoor area was so beautiful, Restrooms are clean, service was great.
Great Find in LA
Delicious, local and organic food simply prepared and beautifully presented. Unique dishes and and interesting spices. Beer and wine available.
