Nice Quiet Hidden Gem

By Thomas M |

I met 2 friends there and they had lunch while I sat and talked to them. I had eaten earlier in the food court and wrote a review on that restaurant. They ordered the Margarita Pizza and the Lime Cilantro Chicken salad. My friends have that combination every Saturday and it is always good they say. I did have a taste of each and it was great. A little pricy but as worth it.

Love the new Nordstrom restaurant!

By Lauren M |

It's a nice place to come and relax after shopping. I had the roasted Tuscan salmon and vegetables and it was outstanding! The service was pretty good. It was much more expensive than the old Nordstrom Café for the exact same thing, so I couldn't come here often. It was still well worth the money for this dish.

My 'go to' lunch spot!

By Varda |

I love eating lunch at Cafe Nordstrom almost every weekend. It's pretty, quiet and a perfect spot to lunch with a friend. The food is fresh and delicious!

Unimpressed

By rickpen1 |

My girlfriend always loved the old Nordstrom's and we were unaware of the changes when we arrived. The restaurant was very nicely remodeled and the staff seemed very friendly and professional. The décor was inviting. I had the Ruscello Burger, described as being served with "alderwood smoked sea salt fries". I've never had alderwood smoked sea salt fries, so I was anticipating something that resembled French fries, presumably a lot tastier than conventional fries. Unless they served me something else by mistake, the "fries" are actually what appeared to be hand-cut potato chips. They were interesting. My burger ($14.95....) was nothing special, and the "artisan roll" was actually kind of dry and a bite of burger was a bite of bread...a lot of bread. The burger was kind of hiding inside what seemed to be a mountain of dry bread. The burger itself was tasty, I think, but it was hard to taste it. It was more like a bread sandwich with some meat in it. I think they could do a lot better on the roll, especially for that price. My girlfriend had the Niçoise Salad with Salmon and thought it was wonderful. Perhaps if I had had the salmon, I'd be raving about the experience, but I was in a burger mood. She loved her meal, I thought mine was so-so. I guess for the price of the burger I expected something spectacular, or at least better than average. Lunch for two set us back almost $40.00, with tip. This is a really nice restaurant, and if you don't mind spending about $20.00 each for lunch, you'll probably enjoy the experience. If the "artisan roll" had not been so dry, I'd probably give it 5 stars.

Best restaurant in mall

By Maria G |

Ruscello is the best restaurant in Perimeter mall. The service is wonderful bringing a full bottle of water to the table. The penne bolongnese was fabulous I enjoyed the lunch.

food excellent - service not so much

By Luisrene |

Great variety on the menu but service is not very good. We have been here before and are now very dissapointed.

Salads, Salads, Salads, Everywhere!

By Elizabeth S |

Nordstroms is the place I go when I crave a great seafood salad! I love their shrimp, salmon, etc., and just all of their exquisite hand made salads. The salads are mixed right in front of you and the dressing are exquisite! Of course, I have had other things too, but I just keep going back to those salads and that delicious tomato soup!!!!

Ladies Who Lunch

By Ziza |

I absolutely love this place for a "ladies who lunch" venue. There are several different types of fare to be had. All excellent!! I am absolutely hooked on their sandwiches and friends love their salads. You order (get there early because a line forms!) and then pay and get drinks. Sit and your food is brought to you. Love the booths and even the tables. It's not too big of a place so it's very cozy. Service is efficient and kind. And and the end of your meal, they give you lovely chocolate peppermint sticks. It's a wonderful alternative to the food court at Perimeter Mall.

Hidden Gem

By advernturer5 |

This is hidden on the top floor of Nordstrom at Perimeter Mall. The food is excellent and the environment is calm and casual. I would recommend trying it out when you find yourself at the mall wanting a quick but delicious meal!

Cafe Nordstrom is a great place for a family date

By Tigrman |

I'm married with children and its not often that we can eat together at a restaurant that has better quality food than fast food, isn't always busy, and is cheaper than other mid-level eateries, ie. Bone Fish, Grill. The Cafe Nordstrom is fast, friendly, gourmet, and quaint. The menu is always different and prices are comparable to Chili's and O'Charleys. Its a great pitstop when you're at the mall and you need a healthy alternative.

Amazing Food and Fantastic Service

By Guyg72 |

The former Cafè had been transformed into a newer restaurant concept. Full bar service with cocktails and an updated menu to satisfy many different palates. Our lunch was perfect well crafted and reasonably priced. Our server was delightful, attentive and even gave us suggestions on what the locals do for fun for our final day in the greater Atlanta area. Definitely a memorable visit!

The Way a Restaurant Should Be

By SmartGenius |

I came to Ruscello for a business lunch and it couldn't of been more pleasant. The staff was top notch and the food was high quality. If you're interested in coming to this restaurant come by 11am because the fill up fast.

Hidden gem at Perimeter Mall

By JLGibbs02 |

My daughter and I happened upon this little gem of a restaurant one evening while shopping for dresses at the mall. The ambiance is hip and chic and the food was delicious. The wait staff was courteous and efficient.

Not the quiet lunch respite I was hoping for!!

By Barbara J |

After a morning of crowds and shopping, I was hoping for a nice quiet lunch to rest and refresh. This is one of the noisiest restaurants around. The service was slow as well. The menu is typical for department store dining. Not bad, just typical.

Unhappy Experience....

By Ashli H |

I went here recently after doing a lot of holiday shopping. Often times I will have a craving for a specific food and in this case, it was for the pasta with artichokes. --it's specific name slips my mind, but I was excited and ready to eat until the server told me it is 'Impossible to make the pasta without the white wine'. Whelp, that's a 'white lie'!!! I had this very pasta on October 9th made without white wine since I'm allergic to alcohol. Later on he came back and recanted his statement saying the chef will make it, but by this time I had lost my appetite. Those are the highest and low points of a 30 minute time spand. The server wasn't rude, but he was not a good listener. The fact my allergy was glossed over and minimized means I'll never eat here again....By the way, the final photo I'm posting is of the pasta I have had on other occasions without alcohol in its preparation. ~Ashli H.👎

Best restaurant in mall

By Maria G |

Ruscello is the best restaurant in Perimeter mall. The service is wonderful. My friend and I split the chicken club with maple glazed bacon sandwich. It was delicious and enough for two even after 90 of Mall walking.

Lunch

By bullstar0001 |

Best place inside Perimeter mall for a sandwich and salad. I took my parents for lunch and everything was great service friendly and great atmosphere. We did waited a little more than usual for our meal but it wasn't really a problem. But our waitress came to apologize for the tardiness ( really maybe waited 10 min xtra) and told us our meal was free because of the wait. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a problem for us, but this are the little things that make a great customer service. We will be coming here for lunch again

Wonderful break from shopping frenzy

By 991maryal |

This restaurant, located on the third floor of Nordstrom at Perimeter Mall, is a fabulous option for a shopping break. When you need to sit and relax and unwind from the shopping frenzy (or plan round two), this restaurant offers lighter fare (soups, appetizers), salads or sandwiches, and a variety of entrees. You can also enjoy a glass of wine while you unwind. Wait staff are gracious and the space is very nicely appointed. My personal fav is the Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad - I even bought the cookbook so I can make it at home!

Surprisingly good dining for a department store!

By King_Lux |

Cleverly hidden on the top floor of Nordstrom's, Ruscello is a pretty good casual Italian eatery. Its location makes it great for shoppers, and the fact that they have a full bar and TV showing the latest sports makes it great for parking husbands while their other halves keep shopping. Their pizzas are fresh, and surprisingly good. I really enjoyed the sausage and pepper. Others in my group enjoyed the grilled turkey sandwich. The service was friendly but a bit slow. So don't count on this place for quick food, but maybe more like a break in the shopping action to rest and refuel (or drop off a husband). Overall, when compared to other choices in the Perimeter Mall, this is probably one of the best you can make

Nice surprise

By Maxbart |

Rainy day just waiting for my room to be ready at the hotel. Strolling in the shopping centre I found this place. Great salmon salad with fresh ingredients and no sauce at 20$ with complimentary pistachios lemonade and little chocolate. Great service by the ladies here. Oh. I forgot. .. I am Italian ☺

The ladies who lunch

By SweetHomeAL07 |

What a great place to take a shopping break on a chilly day! Onion soup. Was fine, service quick and friendly. Food certainly not "gourmet", but well prepared and plated.

Interesting experience at a "hidden gem"...

By GlobalExec |

Who would have ever thought the a departments store would be a perfect site for a 'business meeting'/happy hour? With hesitation, I met clients of mine at cafe attached to the Nordstrom department store at Perimeter Mall. What a please surprise! Great wine selection, excellent appetizers (they also had a full menu) and incredible Happy Hour discounts made this a most enjoyable meeting/experience!

Wonderful Chinese chicken salad!

By panpanda |

I was so inspired by the delicious Chinese chicken salad that I tried to duplicate the dish at home. My version isn't bad, but Nordstrom's is better. My friend had a shrimp salad that looked great. Being Nordstrom's, it wasn't cheap, but sure was delicious. The iced tea is especially good, too.

Tucked away in Nordstrom at Perimeter

By Kathy C |

I didn't know about this place but went with a couple of friends for lunch. First, the wait staff was superb! I had a Turkey and Swiss BLT that came in organic whole wheat bread. I really like the options of "organic" and "whole wheat." The bread tasted homemade. The bacon on it was decadent! This is a great place for lunch or dinner after shopping. Don't even consider the food court again! The entire menu is interesting and innovative and the atmosphere is soothing.

Really nice for a mall dining experience

By SharonWS1982 |

The atmosphere is relaxing. You can have a conversation. Service is attentive. Menu choices are varied. Favorite: the arugula salad with large grilled shrimp and cubes of polenta----yum!

Lovely dinner - great food with nice service.

By Stephanie D |

My colleagues and I had a lovely meal tonight at Ruscellos. I ordered the Salmon Salad Niscoise and the Dijon vinaigrette was excellent. The service was good, our server attentive but did not hover. I will definitely be back.

Confusing...tale of two cities.

By JennATL |

Nordstrom Cafe, Perimeter Mall, Dunwoody, GA: This is the better of the two Atlanta area locations. It is larger, the offerings more plentiful, the quality better and the service more attentive. I will actually drive all the way out to Perimeter just to eat at this Nordstrom. The Caesar Salad is the bomb, as are the desserts and don't forget those great mints. I do hate that they replaced the real cloth napkins with the paper. I do wish they'd manage the seating, better. Often times tables for 4 or more are occupied with single diners, or even just sitters. More than once I have gotten through the line only to be at a loss for a seat. The staff is of NO assistance in managing seating....awkward. Nordstrom Cafe, Phipps Plaza, Atlanta (Buckhead), GA: This location isn't horrible, it just doesn't live up to its suburban neighbor. The Buckhead location in general just is a mini me of the Perimeter location.

Kind of the same, but at least now you have a seat!

By JennATL |

Nordstrom recently changed this restaurant from more of a cafeteria style bistro to a sit down, Italian style bistro featuring table service. The offerings are much the same as they were at Cafe Nordstrom. They are also pushing a full bar, which you are probably much more likely to indulge in in the new atmosphere. I think the food prices are slightly higher, but combined with the alcohol and service, adds up to a much more expensive visit. The cloth napkins are back, too....yay! It is nice to be able to have a seat when your food arrives, which was a problem at the old Cafe Nordstrom. The service was ok. I like it, but feel I'll have to be more "committed" to eat here, rather than a quick bite at Cafe Nordstrom.

Try Ruscello You’ll Love It!

By jm31563 |

As many times as I’d bought menswear clothes and accessories from Nordstom’s-little did I know that they have this gem of a restaurant nestled away upstairs in their store, called Ruscello, an Italian style place not too many patrons know about. Nordstom’s have restaurants in several of their locations around the country with different names. One thing is for certain - they are all REAL restaurants, no BS. I was their 1st or second customer of the day. Because it was afternoon, I wanted to eat lightly so I sat down and a beautiful waitress immediately came over. I asked for a menu and was brought 3 different menus, one was for alcoholic beverages only. Of course I didn’t partake of any. I ordered, and was recommended, the Lobster Bisque soup. As for the main course, I ordered their Margherita Pizza with organic ingredients, the medium size. The Bisque soup came out quickly. It was hot and fresh. It came with a thinly sliced Garlic bread portion. Absolutely delicious!!! Then, after 15-20 min, the pizza came out. Two small cups of red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese were added. The pizza was also fantastic. Everything from the waitress to the presentation of the food was awesome. My initial plan is to return in a couple of months. I had a great experience there.

Excellent Food in Convenient Location

By BJAATL |

Pros: truly delicious and well prepared food, perfect if shopping in the mall or want an alternative venue to a regular restaurant, great server Cons: parking is far from restaurant but on third floor so you can get covered parking, interior is nice but a little uninspired. Recommend going for food alone. Try calamari, salmon salad, shrimp salad; salads mix warm and cool ingredients freshly prepared. White chocolate bread pudding fantastic.

Great restaurant.

I was in the area and was curious about the renovation of the Nordstrom Cafe. The new name is Ruscello. Many of the previous menu items are still on the menu. My server Vertice recommended the Asian salad and I loved it. The room is warm and inviting and the food is excellent.

Don’t be fooled—or afraid.

By sam69-73 |

Walking the door I saw a upscale bar with a sports program. Our waitress was prompt and delivered a menu of nice variety. Then I noticed-yikes—it was populated by a near full majority of ladies. Don’t fret they were friendly had animated, but discrete conversations and totally ignored me and the ESPN program completely. Spoiler alert—I was with my wife, knew what I was getting into and we enjoyed the asparagus and bacon as well as the chicken parm sandwich (half of what came home in a bag). The two dollar gelato was a great value. Diane was a tip top waitress. Do not be afraid—best lunch spot IN the mall.

A Hidden Gem

By Coretta F |

Very nice secluded restaurant within Nordstrom. Excellent customer service thanks to our server: Vanessa. The lobster bisque, fried calamari, turkey & swiss BLT, and market burger were delicious. The aioli sauce served with the calamari was amazing!

Awesome salad!

By mitzi l |

Loved the convenience of this little cafe nestled in Nordstrom's Ladies' department upstairs. The Warm Asian Chicken Salad was wonderful and a definite "do again". Service was a little sluggish but after shopping & walking forever, this cafe is pleasant reprieve from the hustle & bustle!

Great good, take a break from shopping!

By Jill M |

Order your food, be seated and the server brings your food to you. What a treat to be seated after long shopping hours, enjoy a cup of French onion soup. A perfect lunch spot at Phipps Plaza.

Never hesitate to eat here!!

By christine w |

My husband and I deal with Mall parking and shoppers JUST to get to the Cafe Nordstrom. It is THAT good. Soups/Crostini's, Mighty Leaf Iced Teas, Asian Chicken Salad, and their skirt steak? To die for. A+++

Best dinner location in Perimeter Mall

By sola123 |

While everyone stands in line at Maggianos, I suggest you go up to the third floor of Nordstroms and enjoy delicious food without the crowd. The menu has a great range of offerings and everything we tried was good. I loved the lobster risotto with chunks of properly cooked lobster and a creamy saffron scented rice. Lobster seems well handled too in the bisque. Pasta with shrimp is a generous serving of fresh papardelle with grilled shrimp. The salads are huge, pizzas are crisp crusted, main dishes in the evening included salmon, chicken and steak. Great service from Moustafa.

PURE PERFECTION! EAT HERE!!!

By Ashli H |

I recently went here for dinner with someone and it was the best decision I have made in a long time! This restaurant is located on the third floor of Nordstroms and it use to be called Nordstrom Café some years ago, but they changed the name & menu and the atmosphere and created the wonderful Ruscello's! Nijee was our server and he was amazing in every sense of the word! I ordered the Tuscan (or it might be Tuscany) chicken and roasted potatoes with veggies that had been marinade in spices like rosemary. I told Nijee of my food allergies and he double checked on a few occasions for different items to make sure it was safe for me to eat. He even allowed me to substitute asparagus for the corn on the cobb since I am allergic to corn. My meal also came with red & yellow bell peppers, a roasted carrot, acorn squash and as I mentioned roasted potatoes and chicken. My date had the same thing as me but salmon in the place of my chicken with Sweet tea. Chef Terri personally brought us our food making it all the more special! Everyone was professional and polished and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. I love the fact the food was light and well seasoned. This is my new favorite place to eat!!! ~Ashli H.❤❤❤❤❤

Great Meals at Nordstrom on the 3rd Floor!

By eheyman |

Great for brunch, lunch or dinner, Ruscello offers great food and value on Nordstrom's 3rd floor. Soups, sandwiches, salads, and hot entrées, pleasant environment and seating. A wonderful alternative to your typical mall food court.

Changed venue and ambiance

By Tommy A |

Well, I did like the old venue better for visiting with friends, but we were able to find a secluded corner at 2:00 PM. The other ambiance was much lighter and brighter. The food was still good but a more limited menu. The kids menu worked fine; grilled cheese was good and parents enjoyed the kids' soup. Salads were very good especially the strawberry & chicken (needs more strawberries). Burger and chicken club were very well prepared.

Great place to take a break from shopping

By Becki P |

My friend and I had lunch at Ruscello today and enjoyed it. It was not too busy so we had no trouble getting a table. We both had a cilantro lime chicken salad. It was very good, the chicken was delicious and the dressing was tasty. The salad had fresh corn in it too. I would definitely go back if I was at Perimeter, but don't know if I would go to Perimeter just to dine there.

OK but Not Great

By Robert S |

A bit pricy for the quality of food and service. Ambiance was very inviting and the drinks were better than average. However the food was a disappointment coming as basically good but expensive.

Delicious food but mediocre service

By cstocker |

The food is what wiill have me come back. Our waiter didn't seem like he wanted to be there. It took a long time to get our appetizer and two salads. Anyho...a must is the ricotta and tomato jam jar. We also ordered the fresh grilled shrimp & arugula salad as well as grilled chicken salad. Will back and hope for a good waiter!
