Portland Dining Month Special: truly special!

By juliemom43 |

We've never before eaten at Ruth's Chris, and never thought to, because it's out of our usual financial league. Tonight there was a $29 per person 3-course special. We had the 6-oz. filet and Atlantic salmon, plus extras of 6 giant shrimp and bleu cheese crust on the filet. Generous salad course with piquant arugula. Flavorful creamed spinach. Fresh La Brea bread. For dessert, bittersweet chocolate bark and a turtle-type mousse. We were stuffed; fortunately we had an uphill bike ride home. Service was excellent even though it was obvious that we were going to have a small tab (no wine or other alcohol). My "value" rating of excellent is based on what we spent tonight ($81.50 before tip). I probably won't go again until dining month next March!

Great Rib eye Steak

By AJ S |

Went in for a birthday celebration. Had one of the classic specials. We had salad that was very nice, with apples, nuts and cheese. The steak was tasty, hot and well prepared. Our server did a great job. We chose the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes for our vegetables. The veggies were delightful. After we finished our main courses, we selected cheese cake and fresh berries with cream. I thought the crust of the cheese cake was too thick but the dessert was tasty. The cream on the strawberries was a bit under whelming, and thin. I think the sauce tasted like vanilla pudding. The berries were not very tasty, probably due to the season. I probably won't order that again. We had a great table on the second floor. The atmosphere was good. It was great experience. The venue was wonderful. We had a good time.

Amazing!!

Had an amazing meal. Worth every penny. Loved the atmosphere and the service was outstanding. If you need a special place to go this is it.

Best steak I've ever had

By Michael G |

My girlfriend and I got the 40oz tomahawk ribeye and split it. I think that was the best decision we've ever made.

Fantastic Fish

By sipari_traveller |

I wish i had taken a photo of the fish dish I had served to me on ice, it was huge! It wasn't possible for me to even finish. I don't recall seeing this item on the menu at other Ruth's restaurants, so it's worth a try when in Portland.

A true feast for dinner!

By BigWLier |

Ruth's Chris is a real pleasure to come to dinner. It's a bit more expensive than the other restaurants but the quality is sublime! You get here and if there is no parking on the street (Portland is a mega busy city!) Then there is valet parking for $ 9.00. When you enter you'll notice already ... this is a class restaurant. The reception very friendly, the service was that too. We are very grateful to our Scott. The choice on the menu is heartbreaking difficult. and then those delicious steaks !!! World class! Because I had a rather large steak (Filet in bone) and after some time, Scott suggested to put it on a sizzling plate again, so that the meat could heat up again and cook the steak a little more! Top. Where do you find that ?? also the prawns were very tasty! Yes, Ruth's Chris Portland completely confuses the reputation of the brand. top quality in a top restaurant ... the price? Well, that is on the high side, but for this quality you pay for 1 time more. When you really want to dine in Portland ?? Ruth's Chris is the place!

Best dessert ever. Awesome steaks!

By Brooke R |

Everything was near perfect. Almost perfect dining experience. The food was to die for, and the chocolate duo dessert was the best! The only downside was the wine. The wine selections were weak and available at most tut grocery stores. Overall, the service was spectacular and great experience!

Champagne dinner

By bittchwoman |

I went for one of the speciality dinners at Ruth Chris with two other friends. It was a dinner with a set menu paired with champagne' s. The flat fee for this dinner was $150 without gratuity. To start with, we were seated at a table with other people, which was not disclosed upon booking. The other couple was perfectly nice but as we received bill at the end of our meal an automatic gratuity was added because we were a table of '5'. Let me say the food wss delicious. Everything else was horrible. Our waiter from the beginning was rude. One of my companions remembered him from her last time there, telling me he was this bad when they were at Ruth Chris on Valentine's day. Throughout our meal this waiter made our lives miserable. As one friend went to use the restroom, she heard him talking about our table. His behavior the whole night ruined our evening. And at the end to get a bill with the gratuity already added in was just adding insult to injury. I wrote to Ruth Chris after my meal and got no response. Not even an apology. I will never return to have a meal there....even though the food is good. This one waiter ruined any experience I might have had in the future.

As yummy and friendly as ever.

By jacksondc |

Our choice was this standard for good, succulent food. We were not disappointed. Charming waiter, odd long wait to get a table in a restaurant that was 33% full. Finally we were settled and the meal went off without a hitch. The petit filet and t bone were both good and done to perfection. But the waiter made the meal - on time, just the right amount of leave em alone and attend to their needs. So good. GO HERE!

Excellent

By beth ann k |

Everything was wonderful. The wait staff was excellent and the meal was excellent. No complaints! We would definitely go back.

Unnecessarily Expensive

By Beering |

The steak is great. But totally overpriced. There's nothing that remarkable about the place or the food. Nothing to justify that this is the best steakhouse in town - which it should be given the price. There are definitely other options. I wouldn't go back.

Disappointed in our Portland Ruth Chris experience. The staff was friendly but the food was a total disappointment.

By Reeree954 |

Displeased with Ruth Chris Portland. I came to Portland with my husband for a conference. This is not our time at Ruth Chris but this is the first time that we have been dissatisfied. We placed our order and after waiting 20 minutes, I was told that they ran out of lobster bisque and I did not want any salad substitutes. My rib eye was over cooked and was bland. I told my waiter that I choose Ruth Chris because I wanted some bread pudding and upgraded my desert. After waiting again, I told him that I would take it back to my hotel. They packaged up our food and placed them in a to go bag. We paid our bill, my husband did not even want to tip much but I said no and left a good tip. After getting back to my hotel to eat my bread pudding, I opened the bag to find out that they gave me bread pudding that was taken straight out of the refrigerator and placed in a to go container, a cold, unheated disappointment. We are from Florida and have been to Ruth Chris countless times, we usually visit Ruth Chris when we travel. I am not pleased with Portland. Such a disappointment after skipping lunch to have this bad experience and wasting $300.

Disappointing experience.

By DixieLW |

The restaurant has a great location and a good reputation but our experience was very disappointing. The food is average, there are better steak houses in Portland, Oregon. Our service was poor and when the service is poor it sets the tone for the whole meal. Our waiter was not attentive, did not explain the menu, did not check back with us. We had to flag down the bus person to get another glass of wine, and more water. We wanted dessert/coffee and had to once again have a bus person find a wait staff (not ours) to take our order. 30 minutes after finishing our meal no one had checked on us or offered to bring our bill. A hostess happened to walk by and she assisted in finding our waiter. The salads we ordered were very good, large, almost a meal by itself. Our steaks were tender and flavorful. The house special au gratin potatoes were nothing special :( Would not order them again. Would I give this establishment another chance? Possibly so.

Amazing steak and exceptional service

By Eric P |

Our steaks were cooked perfectly. The sides were great. Our Server, Ryan, was excellent. His timing was spot on and humor was appreciated. Overall, it was an exceptional experience.

Absolutely delicious

By Ian C |

Exceptionally good steaks. Very smart restaurant, good service. A little expensive but we'll worth it and the creme Brule was the best I've had anywhere in the world!

Great Steaks but Pricey

By Paisan P |

While in Portland we stopped here for dinner. We started with the Calamari and Ahi tuna appetizers. Both were prepared perfectly. The calamari was crispy yet juicy and the tuna was cooked to perfection with a pink center. Both were really good. Our waiter was very attentive and provided us with a really nice dining experience. When we went to order a bottle of wine we were very disappointed by lack of any really good wines and the high prices of the average wines. We passed on the wine. We ordered the petite filet & shrimp and the ribeye. Both were perfectly cooked and flavored the way we liked them. Their cuts of meat are really good and they do know how to cook a steak. Only negative was their prices have really crept up and they need to look at the wine list. Great steaks and service.

A Disappointing Dining Experience

By raftman55 |

If not for the good service & fine cocktails, I would have given RC just 2 stars. I ate at RC many years ago before Darden bought the chain & had a good meal & an excellent steak. Last night the universal sentiment among 5 diners was “meh” - at best. My lobster tail was overcooked, as was my filet. I ordered medium rare & it was far closer to medium. The accompanying garlic mashed potatoes arrived lukewarm with an over-processed texture that suggested mass production. The Caesar salad that preceded my entree suffered from too much dressing, too few minuscule croutons, and the weirdly uniform chop of the lettuce again suggested mass production. Given that prices rival the longtime local competitor famous for the best onion rings in town, we were all left wishing we had gone there instead. Two of our group ordered the lobster bisque and it was so overcooked, with an off putting strange aftertaste, that they could not eat it. Darden has taken a once proud franchise & put their food on par with the very pedestrian Olive Garden…albeit at much higher prices.

Ruth's Chris delivered an amazing anniversary dinner - It was perfect!

By JoanStevens |

My Husband and I decided to try Ruth's Chris tonight for the first time, to celebrate our 26th anniversary. What an enjoyable experience. When I made the reservation, I let them know we were celebrating our anniversary, and were going to enjoy $29 March Portland dining month dinners. We were seated within minutes of arriving at a table set with rose petals and confetti, along with a Happy Anniversary card. Our dinner was delicious, The bread was served warm, the salad had a light vinaigrette dressing. Our steaks came out sizzling, and were cooked to perfection. They almost melted in our mouth. My husband ordered the potatoes, and I the creamed spinach. All of it was wonderful. For dessert they brought out plates with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate, vanilla ice cream with a red topping drizzled, fresh fruit in crème brulee, and a hazelnut chocolate torte. While our dinner was amazing, the service exceeded it - Everyone there understands and provides superior service. THANK YOU for making our anniversary such a memorable occasion! I saved the card, a rose petal and couple pieces of confetti. We will be back!

Typical steak house

It’s steak house restaurant with prime cuts presented to you sizzling and perfectly cooked, huge side dishes specially chow string fries, service was great , the place is. Down town.

Enjoy a Delicious Beef Eating Experience!!

By Shelley M |

I love this place. Steaks are to die for - and so is the creamed spinach! Salads are made with wonderfully fresh ingredients and the service is as good as the meal.

Excellent steak but very expensive

By Miklos Almasy |

The service and food was excellent. Very nice atmosphere. But I found the it so expensive that I would rather avoid going there again, unless invited!

Surprisingly Spectacular Seafood

By BFR1920 |

Despite having seen Ruth's Chris restaurants in most places I've visited, I've never gone. But on this trip I attended a business dinner there and I was not disappointed. I don't eat beef so going to a steak place limits my choices immediately. However, being in Portland, the seafood options were spectacular. The crab cakes were mostly lump meat and their seafood tower was delicious. I would also highly recommend the lobster mac and cheese.

Lousy Customer Service

By eyelovetotraveltwo |

We've eaten at Ruth's Chris twice on Maui. Had the best service and food. This time, we ate at Ruth's Chris for Thanksgiving in Portland, Oregon. The food was still amazing but the service, as far as reservations were concerned, was terrible. We made our reservations for 4:45pm Thanksgiving Day. After my husband returned to the front desk three times, I finally got up myself to see what the problem was. I asked the woman up front if they would allow us to eat there if we were 30 minutes late for our reservation. She looked at me as if I were speaking a strange language. Then I rephrased it by telling her that our reservation was for a half an hour ago. She replied, "I told your husband we would take care of you. You are next." We were finally seated 45 minutes past our reservation time. There appeared to be a few tables open, however, I assume they did not want to seat just two people at a table for four. I imagine that would have cut into their "optimal seating" methods. The server was amazing, as was the meal, but the long wait really ruined my mood and this review. Thinking "we will take care of you" might have meant at least a free dessert, we left there paying full price (over $200) for our meal. I have no issues with this price for first class service which, of course, we did not receive. I wrote to their corporate office and did not receive any response other than they received my correspondence and would get back to me. I gave them a chance to make it right but, again, they failed. Wow!

Excellent food and service

By raylynn |

This Ruth's Chris does not disappoint. Filet was cooked perfectly. All our meals were excellent. But dessert was to die for, bread pudding with Frangelica sauce. Service from Raul was beyond expectations. Well worth every penny.

Place to have a great steak

By hanmer88 |

We had just arrived in Portland, Oregon and found Ruth's Chris Steak House walking along the street. What an experience with genuine hospitality and great service with exceptional food. Recommend this place for a great experience.

Top Quality in All Aspects

By Dick L |

We are long time customers of this chain and we love it! Christmas is a very busy time for anybody and it showed on our Saturday night visit to celebrate our anniversary. We were showed to our table on the upper floor and seated. Service was slow, but when they came they were very attentive, as usual. The steaks were top quality, as usual. The surprising change came in the extra charge for valet parking, which I had always thought was complimentary. Perhaps I have been wrong all these many times?

Portland dining month

By Sleepfairy1962 |

Never disappoints, never a bad meal, great excuse to go back for Portland dining month. We started off with the steak house salad that has arugula, tomatoes, and lettuce covered with a light vinaigrette. The main course consisted of a small perfectly cooked filet mignon that was very nicely seasoned and my wife enjoyed a very generous portion of salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. Dessert consisted of an espresso cake which was a very dense round chocolate cake with a dollop of whipped cream and a mint sprig. Delicious. Although service could be improved by wait staff not being so pushy and being better listeners then talkers, the meal and atmosphere was impeccable as usual. My go to Steakhouse.

They made it right

By eyelovetotraveltwo |

After our visit and my Tripadvisor review of this restaurant, I was contacted by the manager of this location via email. I explained to him what had happened and he made it right. Not much more you can ask of a fine dining establishment. I will be back to visit this location again, as the food here is always amazing. Thank you Ruth's Chris management!

Superb steaks and cocktails

Consistent, elegant evening

By warmweatherjunkie |

OpenTable Diner August 24, 2018 We had a lovely evening with Jonathan and Matt at the bar. It was busy, yet they kept our glasses full. It was a wonderful evening with a fabulous wine selection. Ruth Chris is consistent from location to location. Love it! We will be back.

Christmas Eve dinner was perfect!

Excellent food! Excellent service! Great location! The staff was warm and friendly and although busy you did not feel rushed at all. They were very accommodating!

Well Worth the Money

By Kathleen D |

We seldom spend $100.00 per person on a dinner, but when we do, we expect the world! We got excellent service, excellent food and nice surroundings. Just remember, the menu is ala-carte and a steak only starts at $40.00 and goes to $100.00--you add $11.00 for a side of mash potatoes, $11.00 for a side of creamed spinach (out of this world) and over $20.00 for an appetizer such as crab cakes (not up to the standards of the potatoes or spinach, but very good). A good special occasion dinner!

Superb as Always

By BigDaneage |

Im a staunch Ruths Chris supporter having visited Ruths in different cities. We had reservations for 515 and arrived a few minutes early via Uber. We were seated right away in a nice private booth. Service was spot on as always, drinks were poppin, service was bar none, & the food... TO DIE FOR. Thanks for another wonderful dining experience

Holiday Dinner

By mbmoser |

Went for holiday dinner with my wife, son and father. The food was outstanding except for my steak. I ordered the bone in ribeye. It had so much gristle that I had to spit out chunks of it. Pretty unacceptable for a 65 dollar hunk of meat. The sides were outstanding. The lobster mac and cheese is so awesome. Best side hands down. The service was great. Would have been a 5 star rating except for the gristle in my steak.

Great Food

The food was excellent. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. We went for lunch and were very pleased.

First time using take out

By Frank W |

We've been going to Ruth Chris for 20 years now. It's the wife's favorite and I sure don't mind having a great piece of fish. YES, i said fish. I've tried all their steaks but what I generally turn to nowadays is their seafood. They do a great job with the fish dishes and only reason I'm writing this is because of the Garlic Crusted Halibut. I don't believe they've had this on their menu here in PDX for very long. Every time we've gone there since we moved here 10 yrs ago I mention to our waiter how good this dish was in LA and when will they be getting it here. Kinda get the Salmon thing cuz were in Oregon but I'll tell you, this Halibut dish is pretty well done and yes, it's my favorite thing on the menu. It's actually very cool, I feel they actually listened to me. Hope you will try it and think the same. Enjoy. Even though I love this place I will say their attempt at Lobster Mac is disappointing. They put a few pieces of what looks like leg meat, you know the stuff you need a rolling pin to squeeze out of the tiny legs, in there. No real chunks of claw or tail.

Best steakhouse around

I couldn’t ask a better service from this restaurant. Staff was very kind, and the food was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended going to

Great place for steak. Great atmosphere and customer service! Would recommend to anyone for a special meal.

Expected more .... but fell short on many levels

By Ella |

Came in to celebrate my sons 21st birthday , made reservations and mentioned that we are coming in . Person on phone wanted to mention dress code , no hats business casual ... ok Walking the place is very nice atmosphere , right away noticed guy in short , one with a baseball hat and one with cammo sweatshirt . Ok . We gave our name and the table was ready for us to seat but they still had us wait a few minutes for some reason . I noticed the table was half way in the tile and half on carpet , right by the front door . Didn't want to make a big deal at this point . Shortly after we sat I could feel the cold gushing in every time someone opened the front door . Had to put my coat back on , that's just want you want when your spending over $300.00 bucks on a meal to sit with your coat on . Mentioned it to the waiter he said there was no other place to move too . I'm sure this is a regular problem . Moving on we orders the food , waiter was nice and polite . The service in-between was slow , nobody came to buss table in between courses , say there looking at dirty plates on the table . Long wait times for waiter to come back . The food was good I don't know if I would give it a 5 star maybe a 3.5-4. I had the filet it was broiled well done , I ordered medium well . Over all nice place but with so many great places to eat I don't think it would be on the top of my list to return . I also want to say to the people running the place don't assume people don't notice the lack in service and quality . I also hope that my 67,000 readers can see this review . Picture is of the front door from the table . I was a basically in the lobby .

Perfection isn't Inexpensive!

By Kim R |

Had a perfect meal with a friend. We shared the blue crab cake appetizer...delectable! He had a huge steak with the three sauces on the side and garlic mashed potatoes. He was surprised that he couldn't eat it all, but appreciated the leftovers! I had the two petite steaks with blue cheese and shrimp. WONDERFUL! Service from Raul was exceptional. Thank you!

Not the same

By LUV2FLY747 |

I have been to Ruth Chris 100 times and in many cities but after this visit I have to rethink if it is my favorite chain. Service was bad and waiting was so long and the steak could been cooked better with a beginner It was 450$ for 4 which I would not pay 100 $ for in quality .any where else

Great as usual

By CPickeral |

We eat at Ruth’s Chris a few times each year and always look forward to it. This time was no different. Service was great, food delicious and prepared perfectly. Great selection, nice wine choices. Cannot wait for our next visit!

Poor service and rushed waiter

By MarthaPDX |

At the price point of this restaurant, the service has to be spot on. Instead, we received rushed, inattentive service that really diminished the dining experience. The waiter had to be discretely flagged down on several occasions, items in the same course came staggered with other courses, the coffee came after dessert was long gone, plates from the last course were still in the table when the next course was rushed in, ladies first? fat chance, lots of reaching across us in haste, etc. Basically, I’ve had better service at Burgerville (local fast food burger chain) than here. We go to this restaurant a couple times a year and were so disappointed this time around. If it is a busy night, then have more staff. And train your waiters better. Get it together!

They made it right.

By eyelovetotraveltwo |

After our visit and my Tripadvisor review of this restaurant, I was contacted by the manager of this location via email. I explained to him what had happened and he made it right. Don't Order the Bisque

By Kerry M |

Almost everybody loves Ruth's Chris - me, not so much, as I have dined at much better and less costly establishments in many cities. While the quality of their beef is excellent - I have had great and average - I do not recommend some of their other options. Eating with a group of 4 on a recent Saturday evening, I was the only one not hungry enough to order steak - bad choice on my part as everybody seemed to enjoy the meat and sharable side dishes. Not being so hungry, I ordered their rendition of a caprese salad - heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella, which was edible but not classic by any means. The big disappointment; however, was the lobster bisque. It had such a chemical taste and poor consistency that I could not eat it and sent it back. For a frame of reference, I NEVER complain about food at a restaurant but this was awful. The waitress came back later and said the they must have put too much brandy in the soup. This was not brandy. So, if you eat at Chris, I suggest that you skip the bisque and stick to the meat.

Great happy hour menu

By Doug J |

There is no better way to end you day than a happy hour at Ruth's Chris in Portland, The ahi tuna and shrimp are fantastic and they make a great Manhattan.

The Ususal Rurth's Chris - Excellent but Overpriced Everything!

By Pillsbury1111 |

The steaks at Ruth's Chris are exceptional and cooked to perfection. Because everything is priced ala carte, the bill adds up quickly. Side items are outrageously overpriced. The salads enjoyed by my group were also excellent. Potatoes not so much. Dessert was on par with a restaurant of this caliber. Service was outstanding, attentive, yet not intrusive -- just that way it should be and would be in a manor house! Wines were superb as well. A totally enjoyable evening was had by all in our party.

EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE

By Jim A |

Came here with a group of 19 on a Saturday. The restaurant was very busy. But it seemed like our group were their only customers. Service was fantastic. All the steaks came out pretty much at the same time exactly as everyone had ordered. Not one had to be sent back. Will eat here again.

great diner

By Richard R |

From the moment we walked in it was a very good experience. The first thing we saw was the bar and it was really a great looking space even though we didn't we didn't go in to it. We had a great waiter named Ben and he gave us great service. The food was excellent and the best of any Ruth Christ we have dined at. We will be back and intend to try the bar in the near future.

Lame

Food is always pretty good but the service was not very good....the bar tender was lame...they were understaffed...we waited 25 minutes for an acknowledgement that we were even there ..ten minutes later a drink....40 minutes in and still no server asking if we want food... # dontbeinahurry

Good, but not for the price

By Nadkatraveler |

Went here the other day for our anniversary. We usually go to portland city grill for special occasions but this time I wanted to try something different. Atmosphere is really busy and pretty loud even on the Wednesday night that we went. I ordered the petit filet mignon and my husband got the rib eye. We ordered potatoes au gratin and some asparagus to share since the sides are sizable and it was enough for us. My filet was cooked perfectly but under seasoned. Once i salted it I did enjoy it. My husband said his rib eye was good but not the best hes had. (Compared to seattle space needle or even portland city grill) potatoes were quite under cooked. Asparagus was tasty with the hollandaise sauce. Overall opinion of the main course and sides: it was quite average food bordering on bland and boring. I make more delicious au gratin at home without paying 11$ for 1 potato. Steak was good but not sure if I would pay 50$ for a 6oz again. Husband had creme brulle for dessert and i had the chocolate duo. No complaints about the dessert and the chocolate mousse was amazing. But menu is a bit misleading about the chocolate lava cake. Dont expect any "lava" since its a solid chocolate cake.

Great time

By Wilson L |

The steak here was awesome as usual. The restaurant is super modern and cool, and the staff were excellent.

Everyone Should Treat Themselves

By Tawnie B |

Celebrate my uncles birthday at Ruth Chris this December. Our reservations were right on time, the table was bithday decorated when we arrived, the service was friendly and prompt and accurate. The cocktails were amazing, the wine list is huge and the food...wow the food!!! The Chilean Sea Bass was to die for and the steaks were tender, melt in your mouth meat with tons of flavor. We ordered the chopped salad, asparagus and au gratin potatoes for sides and they were done to perfection. And dessert...it was a birthday...so we had to have dessert. They have lots to choose from but we went for the cheese cake for the table to share and it was sell worth it.

Twice during our week long meetings

By Q3954ZCjeffl |

Portland received 12-15" of snow and ice which made getting around difficult. We dined early in the week here and had an excellent meal. Raul has been my waiter on and off the past 3-4 years. We were pleasantly treated to have his services again. He deploys the perfect demeanor for a waiter and knows the menu's well: meals and beverages. We returned for a second dinning experience during our stay because of him. There are many excellent establishments to choose from in downtown Portland. We came back because of the overall experience. Raul exceeded our level of assistance and we will definitely be back for his assistance and friendship. Thank you Ruth's Chris for having a great employee who carries the value of customer service and is a team supporter for your organization. Our food on both occasions met - exceeded our expectations. See you again & again.

Birthday !

Ruth's Chris does steaks right. Also old fashioned excellent service with white linen and quiet booths. My favorite for my birthday

Seafood Platter just OK and the service was horrible

By BendRNA |

Went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse with some friends for cocktails and appetizers - we ordered the huge seafood platter with lobster, King crab, shrimp etc. Excellent presentation; however the king crab tasted and felt like it had been frozen - the legs were soggy and didn't have much flavor or taste. The service was close to horrible - they didn't give us any small plates or napkins for the appetizer so we piled the shells on the table - they didn't clear them off for over a half hour and we had to go ask for napkins. For the price I'd go almost any place else.

Good meal but beware the cost

By LouisePlackett |

We came here by chance on our first night in Portland and had been trapesing round for quite some time. Came across this place and just went for it. The food was excellent and the service was equally very good. The one thing I would say is it comes with a price tag to match. This is definitely not a place for someone on a budget. Caesar Salad was $10.50 and Rib Eye $59 (but did include a starter and dessert which worked out cheaper than building the meal yourself). There appears to be no dress code which is a good thing as we are passing through with limited options.

Great Steak

By Darline C |

Stayed at a hotel close to this steak house so we chose here for the convenience. We did not have a long wait, there was 8 in our group. The service was good and the steak was one of the best I have ever eaten.

One of the best steaks I have ever had along with superb service

By drjasonclark |

My expectations were low for a chain restaurant. I was wrong. The decor was wonderful, dark and moody. Paul who served us along with all the other staff were friendly and attentive. Then the steak was superb. We went for 16oz rib eye. We’ll be back.

Decent Cab Available at the Bar

By J E |

I stopped in one evening before meeting coworkers for dinner nearby and sat at the bar. The bartender was very helpful and friendly, she let me try a specific cabernet they offered by the glass before I chose it and it was actually really good, even though it was the lowest priced they offered. They weren’t busy at all in there at the time I went and their menu looked really basic, it was a single page… I thought they used bigger, book-style menus at Ruth’s Chris? I didn’t try any food, as I wasn’t too hungry and their prices are too high for basic offerings. Location is decent, it’s close to the Hilton and AC Hotel (Marriott). Not a bad bar experience.

Still waiting for Manager response

By FifthRib |

We went to Ruth's Chris on Saturday June 24, 2017 for our Anniversary. It was one of the hottest days of the year with the temperatures reaching 100 in Portland. The restaurants air conditioning completely failed leaving unbearable sauna like temperature in the dining area. It was so miserable we couldn't even wait for the dessert that came with our order, we just had to get out of there. The poor waitress did all she could to make our visit as pleasant as possible while apologizing non-stop for the unbearable conditions, however, reasonable requests such as simply validating our parking were denied. I guess $150 meal for two doesn't rate. Per her recommendation we emailed gmportland@ruthschris.com to comment on our situation. To date 4 days later we have not received any response at all. Lacking any response from management, this will be our last ever visit to Ruth's Chris.

Don't Order for Delivery

By Solo traveler |

We had had a long day and decided to order delivery via one of the app services. We scheduled for a 6:00 pick up expecting to have the food by 6:30 or so. The service was fine - the driver arrived on time to collect our food. Unfortunately the restaurant didn't have our quite simple order ready. In fact, they were so far behind, the driver left to handle another delivery and returned to the restaurant for our order. Good think we weren't ravenous! When the food arrived everything tasted very good. I do think their $13 chop salad was very skimpy - it was the size of a side salad. Would not order delivery again due to the extended unexpected wait despite ordering more than 90 minutes ahead.

Wonderful overpriced meat

By Guillaume |

The is one of the best place to get the best meat, but the dishes and the wine are definitely overpriced.

Excellent!

By Hawaiibeachgirl |

Popped in Friday night after a show for a late dinner. We didn't have reservations and it was not a problem - sat in the bar. I had the surf/turf/wine combo meal and split a Caesar Salad it was Excellent! I have never had a bad meal at a Ruth's Chris Restaurant - always dependable.... Looking forward to dining there again.

MIL Birthday Dinner

By Grantman66 |

My MIL, wife and two kids had a special birthday dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Portland recently. It was a pretty standard Ruths Chris experience. The staff was a little more in tuned than in some of the other Ruth's Chris' I've visited and our waitress was particularly good. The steaks were all done perfectly and sides were great; Mashed, Brocoli, creamed spinach. App's were good too, Ahi and the Lamb Ravioli. Portland has a very good food scene right now so it's a tough recommendation but I found Ruth's Chris to be very good. I will say the new location, not sure how new it is, provides a lot more light but remains a fairly crowded dining area.

Ruth’s Chris Happy Hour is designed to rip you off!!

By Kevin-Portland |

A recent visit turned out to be a disaster after getting charged $31.50 for a 9 oz. pour of a Colleen Clemons Pinot Noir that retails for $50.00. Sent a long letter to the General Manager with no response. While I’ve had some great experiences over the years, I will never set foot in a Ruth’s Chris again! DON’T PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY!!!

Delicious and so comfortable

By Twinkle M |

We had a wonderful evening with terrific service and even better food. Our steak was perfectly done and very delicious. Side dishes were luscious and the wine divine. I have some special dietary needs which were met easily and more importantly willingly. We will go there again

Nice touches

By windwomyn |

Thanks, Ruth's Chris Steak House, for opening early on Valentine's Day so that my Valentine and I could enjoy a great meal before the theatre. Loved the filet mignon and the nice touch of the butter sizzling on a 500-degree plate. The lobster mac 'n cheese had generous portions of lobster and cheese! Yum! The suggested Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon was perfect (yet I don't know what year or vineyard it was - too bad). The little Valentine confetti, candle light, and roses with our check were very nice touches, as well as the Valentine thank you coupon for another visit. Nice job, all. And, again, thanks for coming in early.

Great Happy Hour Menu

Inviting bar with great food and drink specials during happy hour. I has the spicy shrimp and a glass of rose. Service was great. Food was great. Place is lively but not too loud. I would definitely return.

The Bar Is Very Accommodating At Ruth Chris Steak House!

By ROBERT M |

Ruth Chris Steak House is a really busy fine dining restaurant. I came in without a reservation and asked to be seated in the bar section where I had a table with a window seat. Nice View of Broadway Street and I was surprised at how attentive the staff was. When in Portland you can count on Ruth Chris Steak House to cater to your every need with tender steaks and excellent seafood! Have you ever tried Mac & Lobster? Yes they serve that too!

No words!!

By Nick D |

Eating here is best decision I made on this trip! The food is incredible and service was great also.

Unparalleled

By Jacksbox |

When it comes to exquisitely prepared food & exceptional service, Ruth’s cannot be beat. We eat here 1-3 times a year for special occasions; this time, our youngest daughter’s first anniversary. I cannot say enough about our waiter, Raul and the rest of the crew; punctual, patient & mannerly without too much hovering. (Raul’s assistant even got in on the “what will be the weight of the baby” pool! 😀) We started with very tasty high end cocktail 🍸, IPA & homemade Strawberry Lemonade followed by “The Seafood Tower”, (Maine Lobster, Alaskan Crab, Dungeness & Blue Crab), which we have seen ostentatiously displayed on other tables during our previous visits but just never ordered....oh my golly gee - this is a MUST. I grew up on the Oregon Coast eating seafood I caught just hours earlier so rarely, do I order seafood but am so happy I did: THE freshest, best served cold seafood I have had in my lifetime (other than the aforementioned). I HIGHLY recommend this appetizer option. We followed this not-to-be-beat attraction with delicious salads, (we have had all and each is spectacular in it’s own right), then the mother-lode; 40 ounce bone-in Tomahawk Ribeyes-YUM & YUM. Some of the best beef, (we already knew this but are RE-amazed each time), we have ever eaten in our extensive travels. Along with the meat, we had the Lobster MAC & Cheese (a Ruth’s go-to) and loaded Bakers followed by a shared perfectly prepared Creme Brûlée’ & lovely smooth coffee. *On a side note, they are one of the only places we have seen a “Bone-in Tenderloin offered and it is beyond magnificent but we changed it up this time. I understand that these prices can be out of reach to some but may I recommend just going and having a salad & the Lobster Mac or sharing a Tomahawk Ribeye? We ordered 2 for the 4 of us but one would have easily fed us all. I just hope that you, in your lifetime, could experience fine dining sans any snobbiness at least once in your life...and may it be at Ruth’s Chris. Thank you all for another Grade A dining adventure! 💋

Steak. Just the way I like it.

By MaryJZemper |

We've eaten at Ruth's Chris Steak Houses in several different cities, and this one is as consistently good as the others. I like my steak rare, my husband likes his medium, and we each got exactly what we wanted. Friendly, efficient service, in an elegant, understated setting.

Amazing food and service

By John F |

Large party of 7 wanted Steak for dinner, and I was in charge. Easy decision to come to Ruth's. Great service and excellent steaks. The Filet, which most of us had, was excellent. How, all 5 of us received our Filets undercooked. No problem. Just slice it into the hot plate and wait a few. My cousin had the New York, and he loved it. I would highly recommend.

Great steaks!

By MT W |

Located in downtown area. Decorated as a steakhouse – cozy booths, tables in the center, white tablecloths, and bar. This time of the year they decorated with a Christmas tree. Typical Ruth and Chris steakhouse, with their standard menu, featuring gorgeous premium meat cuts, and of course good service. We took one “Ruth’s classic” – a menu set, which offered a salad, entre, side and dessert for 55.95$. Caesars salad to start, as a main we chose Filet Mignon among other suggestions, creamed spinach as a side and cheesecake was included as dessert. We upgraded that small cheesecake for 4$ extra to a Bread Pudding with a sauce of Grand Marnier and Vanilla. It was very rich and very big, enough for two to share. As for side dish which is included – it’s a little bit smaller portion than of a regular order. Filet was soft and tender, cooked just right. We requested a blue cheese crust on it, our waiter forgot about that, but as we reminded, it appeared on the table shortly. And also we took a Ribeye steak 16 oz, medium rare, very juicy and flavorful. I even like that one more than a filet itself. As for other highlights of the menu – there are veal osso buco ravioli for appetizer. And I would definitely try next time Porterhouse for two, must be good this one. As for wine list – it is fairly typical for an upscale steak house like this, a large selection of wines from ordinary to the cult ones, such as Opus One and Insignia. A separate section for the Northwest selection, dedicated to the wines of Oregon and Washington. Prices are quite high, but you can bring your own bottle for a very reasonable corkage fee of $ 15. Delicious meat experience on a cold December’s night. Valet parking 9$.

Expensive, but you know that.

By Jeff J |

Went for the first time to celebrate an anniversary. The food and service were great. We had the seared ahi and the crab stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. They we're perfectly prepared and tasted great. This was followed lobster bisque which was equally good. For the entree I had a ribeye and my date had a fillet. Again both were prepared perfectly, tender and flavorful. We shared one side and split a crem brûlée for desert. I can't find any fault with the service or the food. The total with a few cocktails and tip was $320. Worth it? Maybe for a special occasion but probably not for my regular "let's go grab a steak " place.

Stopped 3 nights in a row!

By Deborah B |

We were staying at a hotel in the downtown area for the long Thanksgiving holiday and wanted a meal that we knew would be great...and it was! We had the holiday surf and turf - filet and lobster. Delicious. Blueberry mojitos were awesome. That is why we came back to the bar the next night, after thanksgiving buffet at hotel. The 3rd night we had more mojitos with appetizers and dessert at the bar. One of my new favorite Ruth's Chris locations.

Too much expensive

By Goldenpenny89 |

We wanted eat some good meat. We chose this restaurant and we found really good filet and ribeye. The problem here was not the quality of the meat. It was good. The problem was the price: 144 dollar for 2 pieces of meat with some potatoes and corn is way too much. And...in My opinion... good meat should be cooked with no butter at all. In this case the ribeye was floating in boiling butter.... Nice waiter. Next time we would choose otherwise.

A 5-STAR DINING EXPERIENCE

By rhodora56 |

My son took us to lunch at Ruth Chris and all I can say...a Big Wow! We didn’t have a reservation but we decided to walk in and Wow! I was very pleased that they accommodated us right away. We started with seared Ahi tuna with ginger and mustard sauce, so delicious that we almost ordered a repeat but decided to try the osso bucco ravioli. That too wowed our palates. For our entrees, my son had the rib eye steak, which he described as rich, tender, juicy, full-flavored with generous marbling throughout. I had the pan-roasted sea bass (served a bit generously) was firm and blended nicely with citrus-coconut butter, sweet potato and pineapple hash. Wowfully delicious! All these were served by a friendly and attentive waitress. Overall, a good trip to Oregon and a 5-Star for a great dining experience at Ruth Chris in downtown Portland.

Excellent location, service, and food

We were a group of 4 at great round booth by the window. Service was very attentive and food was excellent. Great place for meetings.

After All That Gourmet--Sometimes You Just Want a Steak

By Diver Dan |

There is a widely-known Indie steakhouse in Portland but Ruth's was right my near my hotel (where there are not a lot of choices btw). The place was busy on a weeknight, so without reservation I ate in the lounge area, which was fine. Friendly server. For a solo diner, they offer a prix fixe meal, which I upgraded from shrimp to lobster tail; although I'm sure it was frozen, it was expertly prepared and incredibly sweet. The steaks are reliably delicious (need to be at that price) and cooked as ordered.

Perfection. This is truly how it's done.

By billbreneman |

I've been wanting to write a review on the Portland Ruth's Chris for years and I'm finally doing it. Yay me! This place has exemplary service, amazing steaks and chicken, lovely ambiance, and a convenient location in the heart of downtown. I don't go here often - usually once a year - but it's because I savor the food, value the (lots of) money I spend here (a dinner for two will ding you at least $120) and appreciate the vibe of the place. Happy Hour is quite active, so if you want a quiet dinner for two, go during the middle of the week in the mid/late evening. The Ribeye is absolutely sublime, as is the stuffed chicken breast. The garlic mashed potatoes makes for a great complimentary side dish, and while I'm not a huge broccoli fan, the cheesy broccoli side dish Is quite yummy, admittedly. The bread is warm and fresh and there is a quality selection of wines/spirits. Reservations are essential during holiday periods or during high-traffic times, like Friday and Saturday nights - so call a week or two in advance. While there is an on-going debate as to which steakhouse is the best in Portland, this is a sentimental favorite - and of the 6 Ruth's Chris restaurants I've been to nationwide, the Portland one is by far the best. 5 Stars (or circles, dots, whatever).

YUMMMM

This was a special visit for my husband's 60th birthday.. It was a wonderful experience. The food is bounden wonderful, the service excellent and the atmosphere great. If you like steak, this is the best I have ever tasted.

Terribly Disappoointed

By Yuri S |

I've heard Ruth's Chris Steak House ads on the radio all my life, but I didn't go until recently. Granted, I was there only for happy hour and not for a formal meal, but still, first impressions are difficult to undo. The lounge was packed, but we managed to find seats at the bar. Ruth's Chris being famous for its steak, I thought I'd have the steak skewers. Well, the steak bits were gristly and fatty, as though they were the scraps cut from the good cuts of beef served as entrees. The drinks were good, and service was great, but I won't go back unless I'm meeting someone there.

Best steak I have ever had!

By Tomer Z |

Very fancy restaurant. The 16 ounce (~450 grams) rib-eye steak I ate was delicious, so was the creamed spinach that I ordered on the side. It is quite expensive though, but I ordered it as a full meal deal, which make the whole thing a bit cheaper. Make sure not to take the white chocolate bread pudding for desert, it was horrible. literally. The filet is probably good, but looks small...

Steak to die for

By Danielle A |

I sat at the bar for dinner and Joel made me so comfortable and crafted amazing martinis. The steak was perfection and it was restaurant month so the value was also incredible. Even without the discount the food here is worth every penny!

Fabulous experience for our Anniversary dinner

By Stacey C |

We were in Portland visiting friends and finished our trip by staying downtown for a few days alone. We decided to go to Ruth Chris steakhouse since it walking distance from our hotel we were staying at since we were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. We told our waiter what we were celebrating and they went all out for us. We had the perfect table; they also added confetti to our table for an extra affect. Our waiter was really good! He was very attentive and very helpful in helping us select a good wine, and a cocktail. We will definitely be back when we are in downtown Portland again. Highly recommend! The food was amazingly yummy! Cooked to perfection!

Happy hour

Ate in the bar area of the restaurant, happy hour prices very reasonable and food very good. Interesting drinks selection (beers and cocktails) and excellent service.

excellent go for happy hour

we ate here twice in the last month , they have a set menu of cocktails and food in the bar from 4-7 which is exceptional value and the food is just excellent

Ruth Chris Steak House -- out of sight goodness!

AMAZING dinner! Had Rib-eye, Lobster Tail, and a side of mushrooms. Worth every penny! Food was cooked to perfection and the whole dining experience from staff, atmosphere, and food, were all very nice and elegant. 5 stars for this great establishment!! Highly recommend!!

Pretentious Falderal

By Steve C |

Have heard about this chain for many years and since we were given a gift card decided to use it. As expected, prices are very high for everything and in our opinions a lot of fuss and show is made trying to impress the customer. The sea bass was very good as was the 6oz surf and turf. Lobster tails were sweet and nicely prepared. For desert we chose the creme brûlée and chocolate duo; both were quite good, especially the brûlée. When we made the reservation we indicated it was for a birthday but nothing was said or done about it by the staff. Bill with entrees, desert and two drinks plus tip was $175 for two. This was definitely a one time visit.

Great meal in the Bar

By Dennis W |

Dinner started at 5pm but we got there at 4:30. The bar opens at 4, so went in for beverages, and it's Happy hour time. Bar menu drinks/ food $5 less. I saw the burger and fries on the early sheet, the wife wanted a filet. Since we were at a table (with table cloth, etc. ) by the window, our server took the order (I then cancelled the reservation for main dining area). Great service, burger, filet (the serving plate is 500 degrees so it keeps cooking while you eat). Was perfect for us - I like the items on the Bar menu & wife likes fine dining. Win/Win. Will be back next time in town.

Great Steaks - But Expensive!

By standavis99 |

Kim and I celebrated buying a new house by going to Ruth's Chris Steak House. Our reservations were for 7:45 and we were shown to our table at 8:10. We both had the 3-course specials with a salad to start. Kim had the 12 oz. Ribeye and I had the 16 oz. The steaks were wonderful. Kim added the dipping sauces which really were amazing when we dipped the steak bites into them. The total bill came to $134.00.

Good food, meh service

By FAwife |

Slow service even though we had a reservation. Food was great - we split a bunch of stuff: osso bucco ravioli (a must!), creamed spinach, stuffed mushrooms, and a filet. All were cooked perfectly and delicious. However it was obvious that our server was less interested in us and less attentive to our table as he was the others in his section. A real bummer when you spend that kind of money.

Fabulous Meal for a Fiftiy Birthday

By Heather B |

We celebrated my husband's birthday here and it was delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I ordered my New York Strip medium rare and would not recommend going any more done. So good! As a tea drinker I appreciate the extra hot water offerings. Our party also enjoyed the petite rib eye, salads, several sides and delicious drinks. The fire roasted corn is wonderful. It's more salsa like in flavor. A nice surprise. The staff is very responsive and pleasant.

You get what you pay for!

By sexybaby7399 |

We went here for a birthday dinner and found out that it is quite true that you get what you pay for! My wife had a 12 oz ribeye steak medium rare and I had a 12 oz New York steak medium rare. Both were cooked to perfection and extremely tasty and flavorful. We brought our own bottle of wine and paid the $20 corkage fee. We also had the shoestring potatoes which were memorable and the Caesar salad which was less so and would have benefited from more salad dressing. We received a complimentary strawberry shortcake in honor of the birthday. Cost was $180 including a 15 per cent tip as Brandi was flawless, engaging and outgoing in her effort as our server. It was money well spent but is definitely special occasion merited due to cost!

Great steak, as always

By green-banana |

I am a foodie and love to try varieties of food. When I want a good old high-quality steak, Ruth Chris always delivers. I was seated at a table in bar section and the server was very knowledgeable on the wine/beer, as well as liquor in general. I wonder if RC wine list adapts to the particular location where the restaurant is located. This particular one had many nice wines from Pacific NorthWest. Enjoyed it tremendously.

What a steak!

By island-rider |

Just visited the steak house. Ruth's Chris has consistent service and most importantly, consistent quality of food. Their ribeye steak has never disappointed. Somewhat on the pricey side but well worth it.

Great Birthday

By Tom Widdows |

I took my two high school kids and my wife to Ruch's Chris Steak House to celebrate my wife's birthday. We experienced outstanding service. Mark was our waiter and I'm not sure how he could have made the experience any better. He made great suggestion for all our meals, paired my wines... We couldn't have been happier with how the birthday celebration turned out.

Great Happy Hour and Friendly Locals

By Sandy2645 |

We were looking around for a Happy and Great food, a local asked if she could help us. She was heading to Ruth Chris and said it was a fun place for the locals. The bar had a classy and friendly atmosphere. We talked with many local folks and the servers. We were thrilled to find such a comfortable place that welcome us as visitors. The food was great. The Happy was also Great

Consistently good

By Manologal |

We had a nice relaxing dinner on a recent visit to the area. The salad, steaks, sides and desserts were all prepared as they should be. It is always a consistent restaurant no matter which location you visit.

Good food with some service trips

By Gregory F |

I don’t normally eat at steak restaurants, but we did this time for a business dinner. All of us ordered the filet. My filet was perfectly cooked. The asparagus was perfectly cooked as were the other sides. The restaurant is a good restaurant. However, I was nearly done before my single glass of wine arrived and after reminding the waitress twice. I’m certain that this not the norm. On the other hand, the restaurant was not busy. The miscommunication with the service staff which is separate from the wait staff didn’t work for me. The restaurant did not charge for the wine, but I would have preferred to have it with the meal.

Always good

By PNW Traveler |

We have been to many Ruth's Chris across the country and this location was one of the better ones we have been to. Our server Alyssum was both friendly and efficient in providing just the right amount of service, without being intrusive but always there when we needed her. Our first wine selection was unfortunately listed, but no longer avaliable, but the wine steward personally came over to the table to apologize and suggest a appropriate alternative. My filet was prepared to perfection, however my table mates Ribeye was not quite as tender, but prepared as ordered, just not impressive. The sides of creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes were very good, however the potatoes could have been a bit creamier, as they were a bit on the dry side. Overall the restaurant has a nice ambience on two different levels and located in the middle of the downtown neighborhood.

Pricey...but delicious

By Carl R |

We were invited to a business dinner meeting. We both had the steak and shrimp combo with sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Deeeelicious! The physical space is really ritzy. The service was just fine as well. Oh, and cheesecake with fresh berries for desert. These folks know what they are doing and they do it right. You can always find cheaper to n Portland, but I doubt you'll find better.

Great happy hour

We have had dinner here only twice....but have sat at the bar a dozen times for happy hour after shopping or seeing a movie. The happy hour experience is great.

Melt in your mouth steak!

By Kailey T |

I came here with a couple friends for Portland Dining Month. We had the fixed menu which offered a house salad, a choice of steak, stuffed chicken or grouper and a chef's selection desert. We all ordered steak with a side of mashed potatoes and I have to say my steak was melt-in-your-mouth good. I have been to all of the high-end steak houses in Portland and this one tied for first with El Gaucho. I was very impressed with the level of service we received as well. It was a great evening with a fantastic meal.

The Best Steak and service

By macinoregon |

This was my first visit to Ruth's and it was definitely a great one. From the valet parking to the great food and service - it's definitely a place where we will go for great steak. The atmosphere is lovely - white table cloths, low lighting. I was surprised to see people dressed very, well, inappropriately - torn jeans and sneakers and flannel shirts. All are welcome and there's no need to put on a tux but it is a nice enough restaurant that you might want to put a little extra attention into your appearance. Our server, Raul, was exceptional. The menu was explained thoroughly - and since it was our first visit, that was a good thing. They offer so many wonderful dishes it's great to know the lay of the land, so to speak. We both ordered steak - one filet and one ribeye. I would suggest ordering different sides as they are big enough for more than two people. From the delicious bread to dessert - it was a winner. And - the Caesar salad - the best I've ever had. My steak was done to perfection. The potatoes were delicious. We took our dessert home. I cannot recommend Ruth's Chris highly enough. You can't go wrong if you choose them for dining.

Unconventional Thanksgiving

By findlayt6 |

Met family on Thanksgiving Day at Ruth Chris Steak House . We all elected to not have the Thanksgiving special but ordered from the classic Ruth Chris section of the menu . My wife had the acorn squash soup for the starter and I had the Caesar salad ... my brother and sister in law also the soup. I enjoyed my salad and tried the soup and it was really flavorful with Ginger being the predominant spice I think . I had the Rib Eye and my wife always gets the stuffed chicken ,both came piping hot and sizzling .Excellent tasting entrees . The atmosphere was cozy in our booth and service was competent and accommodating to our special requests except they were out of Ahi Tuna which my brother tried to order and the dessert listed wasn’t available so we had the pumpkin cheesecake which despite my dislike of pumpkin pie was delicious. Tip: I highly recommend the Ruth Classic option which is much cheaper than the a la Cart menu choices but it is somewhat limited in types of sides which btw are served family style but overall we enjoy the splurge every once in a while .

Lovely

By Lori G |

What a lovely atmosphere and great service. The menu is good but be prepared to spend some money as this is not a cheap place to eat. Pick a window seat if possible. No need to dress up fancy, but you don't want to go looking like a slob either.

COULD’VE HAD A V-8…

By janek777 |

I visited Ruth’s Chris in Portland accompanied by a married couple, longtime friends of mine, who highly recommended the place as one of the best steakhouses in the area. The restaurant has really a lot going for it: understated, Hilton-style elegance of the interior, impeccable service, beef of exceptional quality, very tempting desserts. We began with a generous size appetizer of fried calamari, followed by lobster bisque, then steaks (quite a few types and sizes of are on the menu to choose from), with glass of excellent merlot each. The lady opted for a chicken dish. To finish off the meal, my gentleman friend contented himself with a double espresso while I went for my favorite sweet treat: crème brûlée. The dinner was expensive, to be sure, but was it worth it? Well, regrettably, I have one gripe here. I’ve never had problem with high prices in restaurants per se; if I consider them to be too much, I simply don’t go there. Am I getting what I am paying for, though? In this particular instance, I believe that a restaurant of their class should not exercise a policy of charging extra for side dishes, such as stewed carrots, steamed broccoli or creamed spinach. To me, the main course should be exactly that, not just a slab of meat, no matter how big and tasty. This also touches on the issue of presentation – those steaks look very “lonely” there, not accompanied by any garnish, like “orphans” of sorts, and I don’t find that particularly appealing. Perhaps the designer of the plates is of the opinion that in a steakhouse the steak alone is the star, and thus should speak for itself? But I personally do not quite buy such point of view. I had a sincere intent to give them the highest rating, yet in all fairness I cannot do that based on my impressions. When you award 5 stars, it has to be like “wow”! The oversimplified appearance of the dishes took that “wow” away. The truth of the matter is, though, that it probably wouldn’t take much on the part of the restaurant to change it. I am sure they have means and talents to do that. On a more practical note, if you do decide to visit the place, I would suggest considering a taxi ride, as parking in downtown Portland can sometimes be problematic.

Meat is good food!

When treated like royalty in a place at serves food that is equivalent to what a royal would eat it’s an excellent combination of an amazing night out. You’re never disappointed when going to Ruth Chris.

Mouthwatering!

Do not miss out on this amazing restaurant. The food is heavenly, the service is sublime and you’ll leave with a smile on your face and a plethora of delectable food in your belly.

Still Great

By KendraTravels |

Ruth Chris continues to be one of the best places to get a steak in Portland. You can always count on an excellence cut of beef cooked to perfection. I had the fillet. It was excellent. The side dishes are always great too. I really like the mac and cheese and the salads are some of the best as well. I will say that they need to rethink their dessert on their set menu. The chocolate ganache or fudge thing is a hard chunk of gross. But I have had other desserts there that were pretty good. During Portland dining month, you get one of the best deals around too. Check it out.

Great staff, Great food

By JAS524 |

We stopped for drinks, sat in the bar portion, decided to stay for dinner. Services were exceptional, they moved us to the dining room upon request. Portions were sizable, shrimp cocktail was superior to many I have had. We shared a bone-rib steak, cooked to perfection, the server cut it off the bone and in 1/2 for us.

Wonderful but loud

By Troutbum99 |

Went to Ruth Chris for a Birthday dinner for 3. The food was delish as usual but I hadn’t really noticed in the past how noisy it was. I’ve been there for a number of their wine dinners but we are usually in one of the rooms up top. The noise made it difficult to chat in anything less than a yell....they should really consider some type of dampening material on the walls, ceiling, floors.

Perfect steak

Very good to visit a Ruth’s Chris again after a few years. The 11oz filet steak was a must for my husband while I enjoyed the 8oz petit filet. We added roasted Brussels sprouts, asparagus and garlic mash for a perfect dinner. As always, a wide selection of wines to choose from. No room for dessert but we enjoyed espresso martinis to finish a lovely evening.

We love to go to an early movie and eat at the bar after. Great service and terrific seafood and steak. It’s busy!

NO, NO, THINK AGAIN, PLEASE

By MAXFLITE |

Portland is closing in on a snobbish foodie-ville for lots of very good reasons. So, if I review a ubiquitous steak house, you will just turn your head. Wait, there is a lot to say about this joint. Downtown, street level with easy parking (they don't validate...booo!!) and valet parking. The two-story place is packed on a Thursday evening at 7 p.m. A chorus of wait people appear with water, bread, butter and menus, followed by a server that we only saw once, then a delightful neophyte named Jackie. New to her job she followed the company line and rolled out the specials, spoke highly of the wine special and tempted us with all sorts of things that some diners love. But we are old geezers and we politely passed. I ordered a bourbon on the rocks. She asked again. Got it. Then she referred to it as a whiskey. We purist know that all bourbon is whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon. A fine detail that waiters should learn. We were there for the Portland Restaurant Month special. Sure, for we senior citizens this was a value exercise but she never treated us like scofflaw. To her credit and the staff everything was delivered on time and served elegantly. The meal was $28. Salad, entree, dessert. Folks that is a deal. We added a bottle of Ponzi Tavola for $68. Buy at Fred Meyer for $24. We should have brought our bottle of Hamacher Pinot Noir 2014 and paid the corkage...think about doing this. The meal was wonderful. The cream spinach was to die for...this is a Ruth Chris speciality. This was a birthday outing and they made it more special with decorations and an extra fine dessert. We walked after with a tab including tip, of $178. Yes, that is spendy but once all is accounted for we will be back, particularly if Jackie is there. A bad dinner but a great server you will remember. But a bad server and a great dinner, you will never go back. Jackie, we wish you the best and can't wait to visit again and we will ask for you. Oh, remember the bourbon thing. To be a great steak joint in an amazing foodie town says a lot about Ruth's...the competition is intense but here service is top drawer. Make it a special event.

Fantastic as always

By Vince R |

Love Ruth’s Chris Steakhouses. You know what to expect and can depend on it. The service is always great and food is delicious. We had our anniversary dinner here and they made it special by decorating our table and gave us an amazing dessert. We had a crispy lobster tail appetizer that was fantastic. My wife had a surf and turf with filet that she said was great and I had a rib eye that was amazing. Sides are always good and you always end up with a box to take home leftovers if you’d like. If you’re looking for a great steak and nice ambiance then you will be happy with Ruth’s Chris.

I wrote to their corporate office and did not receive any response other than they received my correspondence. Wow!

Confusing

By Annette V |

This was a company dinner. The reservation was for about 20 guests. We were escorted upstairs where we found ourselves sharing a room with another group of about the same size. It felt very crowed. The drinks took forever. We were told they accidentally put both groups drink orders in at the same time. (These large groups were not a surprise!) The entrees came before the family style sides, so some people had a bit of a wait to enjoy the complete meal experience. Getting a second drink was very difficult as well. They were apologetic, but still.... At the end of the meal (and a $2000+ $ bill) I was told they did not validate parking for the garage under the restaurant. --What???--- I had an extensive talk with the manager who had only been there 5 weeks and said this parking issue would now be on his radar. Still no offer to make anything right for us. Before leaving I used the rest-room where I found 3 garbage cans all over-flowing with paper onto the floor. It was near the end of the night, but there is no excuse for the bathrooms to look like a gas station b-room if there is a chance a customer might still be using it. Going downtown to a nice restaurant is considered a treat for myself and many of the people who were there. Ruth's Chris was not a treat that night!

Great steak restaurant

If you want a great steak, good service and a lovely atmosphere in downtown Portland, this is the place. Very cordial staff. One of the best caesar salads you can get. Always great food.

Excellent and Very Pricey

By Dick L |

New Year's Eve was not as crowded as I expected. As always, the service was great, the steaks tender and the sides very plentiful. No room for dessert this time. However the decaf coffee was very lukewarm, and was replaced and taken off the final bill. The only real problem is the price, making this restaurant a very occasional eatery for us and our friends. I don't complain though, knowing that it is a highly recommended place and worth an occasional splurge in the budget.

Best steak on the planet

This was our first visit to Ruth's Chris, but certainly not the last. We had the filet which stayed hot through the entire meal. The service was excellent, although the waiter was intense. We will definitely return...

Truly 5*!

By Sherr503 |

This place served not only amazing food, but also great ambience and excellent service. For starters, we loved their Chilled Seafood Tower - fresh lobster, crabs, shrimps and scallops. Yummy!!! Their sizzling crab cakes had no extenders unlike many other steak houses - probably, one of the best I've ever tasted! Needless to say, their cowboy steak was perfectly done to our liking. My personal favorite was the grilled seabass with a special sweet-tangy sauce - unimaginable combination but it worked! My son loved the steak served in their kids' meal - though serving was a bit small as he was craving for more. For dessert, we loved their molten chocolate lava. It came with a small cup topped with cream - initially ignored it until we were told that underneath the cream was an amazing mousse. Scrumptious delight! Beyond its amazing food, we loved their service. My Mom accidentally touched hot plate and the server mindfully handed her a cold compress and bandage. The server never failed to return and ask what we further needed. He was even kind enough to split up the food to sharing portions. Wonderful service! What I also liked about this place was that it is fine dining but not intimidating or pretentious. Truly 5*! Highly recommended.

Excellent Meal!!!

By Brian W |

Don't let the negative reviews keep you from dining at Chris Ruth's Portland! Everyone has their own opinion and I feel that most of reviewers will post their negative feelings while those that have even the best meal ever don't always spend the time sharing their experience. My family loved every aspect of their dining experience. The staff, the meal, the whole time. My only minor complaint would be the shoe string potatoes. They were only room temperature, but I think I know why. They are cut so thin that my belief is they can't hold the heat. If you were to eat them right from cooking they'd be hotter. But all the other food including the dessert was excellent. I even took part of my rib-eye home and heated it up in the microwave. Stil very, very tender and full of flavor. Next time I'll get the cowboy cut just so I can have even more of it to enjoy at home. Please, please go and try it for yourself!

Amazing anniversary dinner

By Deanna Lynn N |

Having not been to a Ruth's Chris steakhouse in 20+ years, I still remembered the wonderful food and excellent service. This time was just as good if not even better. It's tough to beat their steak and side dishes! Service is always top-notch.

Downtown steak house

By Greg W |

This was the first time I'd eaten here despite living in the area for a long time. Had an early pre-show dinner with my wife. We were on the upper level which is kind of dark but has a view out to the street from the front part. The service (after a 10-minute wait for our table) was excellent. The food was good, with a couple reservations. My rib eye steak was flavorful but tougher than the ones I typically get at my local grocer. We had caeser salads which were good, but the supposed shaved Parmigano cheese on top did not seem to be of the quality I am used to. Manager who came by to check on us (+ points) says they buy it pre-shaved, but he would talk to his people. When they were out of the bottle of wine I wanted, I had a couple glasses (6 oz. pours) of cabernet. Big points for it being served at the proper (cellar) temperature, which is rare, especially for glass pours. We chose this location because it is very convenient to the Schnitzer Concert Hall 2 blocks up the street. It's expensive, as are most quality steak houses. I would come back, but there are others in Portland that would be up on my list.

Food is great. Table service great. But a little aloof at the front end.

By 1oldmanriver |

It's Ruth's Chris and the food is always great, or it has been in my experience. The table service here was also excellent. What could be improved is an insular, somewhat indifferent attitude of the folks answering the phone and the hostess crew. I really don't care to feel you are too good for your customers. It isn't overt, but it is noticeable. A feeling that I am lucky to be eating here. When I call I want a pleasant voice that answers my questions, not one that has some disdain because they have heard the question more than they care to answer. And if I request a quiet table, please attempt to fill that request, unlike what happened to our group which was placed at the end of a table of 18 people having a party. One of our group had hearing issues for which we were trying to be sensitive and specifically wrote this into our reservation. It was overlooked and never mentioned. If you are going to put into your online reservation portal a box which asks for special requests, either fill the request or have the decency to address why you cannot prior to or on presentation to the hostess. Probably time for this restaurant to realize that when you keep looking at how well you look in the mirror, you are forgetting about how your customer feels and asking what can make their experience better.

Watching the World Series in the bar was a good experience.

By Jeff A |

Was in Portland the night of game seven and wanted to watch the game, and have a nice dinner. Sat at the bar and had the Ahi appetizer and a great steak. The service was good and the food sure beat "Brew Pub" food. The wine list is better too. Overall, a great place to watch the World Series, or any other sports event.

Wow!

By Sylvia B |

My husband and I had our Christmas Day dinner here. We ordered a wedge salad to start, which was shared for us at the table. Then we had a bottle of wine, the Porterhouse for two (40oz!) and the potatoes au gratin. It was all fantastic. And they had no problem packing up our leftovers to take up to our hungry teenagers at our hotel. Next time, we will bring the whole family! It was a memorable meal.

Watery Lobster Mac-N-Cheese

By Scooty06 |

Me & my family attended Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on April 12, 2025 to celebrate my niece's birthday. Everything went sttend Ruth's Chris, we always get the lobster mac-n-cheese....which is usually really good. This time all of our (6) orders were very unsatisfactory. Every single mac-n-cheese dish was very runny. We informed the waiter of the issues for & he stated that he would take them back & inform his manager about the mac-n-cheese. The manager made sure that the (6) orders were taken off our bill & informed us that he would address the issue.

Great restaurant for a birthday celebration. The filets are so tender you can cut with a fork. Highly recommend if you are visiting downtown Portland.

Be very clear when you order

By Warmwinds |

This is a warning more than a review. I will readily admit that I do not like the way Ruth's Chris cooks their meat. I do not want melted butter on my food, I do not want a raging hot plate where I invariably burn my finger or my tongue on too hot meat, and I do not want my meat cooked to well done by the end of the meal. I tried to avoid this by asking for the meat without butter and served on a room temperature plate...which I got. BUT...and this is a huge BUT...they do not cook the meat longer in the kitchen, they still send it out below temp (in my case purple rare) when I ordered it medium rare..you MUST adjust for that if the customer does not want the raging hot plate. I did a review on their website with these concerns, and was thanked and told management would contact me, but no one ever did. And for the record, it was not our first choice to eat there, I usually try to avoid it but this time we had no choice. Just be very, very clear how you want your meat cooked, and mention that you won't have the hot plate to cook it on, and maybe you'll have better luck than I did. My husband was very happy with his butter and his hot plate.

Everything was great from the start Service A+ Salad A+ Steaks A+++ Sides A+ (lobster mac n cheese was out of this world) Valet Parking A+ ($9 plus tip) Overall a great experience for the whole family. This was the first time back in nearly 15 years but we really enjoyed it. One caution is that it is expensive but most people already know this. Everything is ala cart, salad, steak, sides etc. There is a bundle option on the daily specials. We averaged about $90 a person which is what we expected.

Big bucks, big disappointment.

We celebrated a special birthday with another couple. The table was very nicely set up with birthday sprinkles and a handwritten birthday card. Both were a very nice touch and appreciated. Our server was nice too. Conversational and a pro. However, 80% of our evening was ruined by a large table with 3 very young children next to us. In particular, the table included a toddler who screamed his way through dinner and another very active, loud child. We couldn't tell if he was happy, sad, mad or bored. All we knew was that he was very loud. Kids can be loud; we all know that. But Ruth’s Chris is a high-end steak house and one would expect children there to be better behaved. Unfortunately, the parents at the table didn't seem to care about the disruption their kids caused. Sadly, the management of the restaurant didn't seem to care either and never asked the table to lower the decibel level. Since management didn't address the noise coming from these kids, my first complaint is that four adults celebrating a special birthday were placed right next to the largest, loudest table in the house. It's sad when a nice restaurant lets their dining room become the same as the neighborhood Applebee’s. Candidly, the tab here was way too high to have to put up with that kind of noise. Truly, we couldn't hear each other during dinner. Another issue was the staging of our multi-course dinner. To begin, we waited for 30 minutes for our cocktails. We had ordered some fries to enjoy with them, and they arrived and were long gone by the time the drinks showed up. Our steaks arrived long before our glasses of wine to accompany them. There was also a delay in getting our dessert and check. We hadn't planned on staying there for three hours. I've been a frequent diner at Ruth's Chris and have had many good experiences over the years. But this one was so bad I don't think I'll be back. I'm a very disappointed customer.

Could get into Fugo so my grandson made it a default choice

By Arthur M |

We weren't planning on going, but the other place was booked until closing; this worked out fine. We all went wide-eyed at the prices, but found out that the Portland $29 fixed meal was in play. My grandson bumped his 6 oz. to 12 for $10 more (what can I say; I love my grandson). The best way to sum this up is to quote my grandson's girlfriend: "this is the best steak I have ever eaten." The service was excellent, and every dish was high quality, except for a cup of tea with tepid water. I said nothing. Why spoil a delightful occasion?

Anniversary Dinner

Amazing Rib Eye! They were wonderful about setting up our reservation with special care for our anniversary. The food was melt-in-your-mouth good! And all the staff was very knowledgable about the food and restaurant lore. Thank you!

Wonderful....steak melted in my mouth.

What a treat. In Portland for a conference and decided to treat ourselves. Ordered the rib eye, Brussel sprouts and Ceasars salad. Had to take a box home...so much food.

Anniversary

By John Warzynski |

Great steaks cooked to perfection, thick cut, well marbled, and wonderful flavor. The lobster was delicious and cooked to perfection. Valet parking is ten dollars and good compared to trying to find on street parking. The service was good, helpful, and entertaining It was our Anniversary and they threw glitter on the table and a card.

One of the best Happy Hours in Portland

The food is always tasty and the service is the best. Their Happy Hour is a delightful bargain. Try the steak sandwich.

So glad I finally tried this restaurant

By Robin P |

Group of six of us. Our friend's birthday. Blown away by the exceptional food. Lots of steak choices, cooked perfectly. Wonderful sides, Au Gratin potatoes, Caesars, bread, asparagus, garlic mashed, barbeque shrimp. My friend had the chicken. I tried a bite. Perfection. I LOVED my steak. Everyone loved their food. Great service and ambience. I only have one complaint. The bus service is too quick to clear the table. My friend's shrimp was removed before she was done, and my other friend's wine glass was not completely empty before it was removed. I will definitely return. Thank you!

Birthday Dinner Special

By Victor L |

If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion Ruth's Chris Steak House is a great choice. Always a great steak and top notch service. Yes it is pricey but I guarantee they will do whatever is needed to make sure you are satisfied with your meal. Reputation as one of the best steakhouse chains in the country and they are pretty damn good at it. So far I have never had a bad meal at a Ruth's Chris and probably never will.

I was blown away with the steak I received from Ruth's Chris. Wow, what a great night and atmosphere here. Thank you Ruth's Chris.

Great Food, Great Happy Hour Offer

By Louis M |

At happy hour the offer on their incredible lite cuisine is itself incredible. The Ahi Tuna plate was discounted nearly 60% during happy and was wonderfully presented. 40% discounts on other menu items is typical. Moreover, young, personable wait staff appear to really enjoy being there. A memorable experience in the heart of the Pearl District.

Anniversary dinner

My husband and I recently celebrated our 23rd anniversary. We ended the night I having drinks and appetizers at Ruth’s Chris steakhouse. The staff was super special to us giving us a complimentary champagne and a beautiful desert that said happy anniversary and chocolate.

We have a tradition of dining

By dineOwine |

We have a tradition of dining out on Christmas Eve at special restaurants. This year we were disappointed. While my ribeye with the truffle crust was amazing, the experience started poorly when we had to stand around the crowded lobby for thirty minutes past our reservation time. Then the bathroom was a messy disaster! No toilet paper, no hand towels, they brought in cocktail napkins for us to use instead. Ruth Chris has enough experience scheduling reservations that there shouldn’t be dozens of people waiting that long for their reserved tables. And I don’t know how a restaurant can run out of paper products, but for crying out loud, even on Christmas Eve, there’s a quick mart open someplace nearby. This kind of sloppiness has no place in any restaurant, let alone one that is supposed to be fine dining.

Great steak and seafood

By CPickeral |

Had a great family dinner at Ruth’s Chris over Thanksgiving weekend. I will preface this review saying we love Ruth’s Chris and make a point to visit one when our travels allow. First time at this particular Ruth’s Chris. Not real impressed by the table they sat us at, especially since we made the reservation over a month prior. We had a baby with us and felt the table was not real suitable for our needs. Yes we did tel them we had a baby when the reservation was made. Food was wonderful as always. Seafood tower thing - appetizer- was unbelievable! My steak was awesome as was my wife’s. Even the Kids steak was good, nicely cooked and priced very reasonably. Will continue to visit Ruth’s Chris in the future.

40oz of Protein!

By My Suitcase Journeys |

This was my second Ruth's Chris visit and they never cease to amaze their customers. We shared the 40oz Tomahawk ribeye (talk about protein gains) as well as a side of creamed spinach, finished off with a crème brûlée. Everything was just absolutely divine. Each and every bite was so heavenly and in the wise words of Gordon Ramsay, medium rare is the way to go. Fantastic meal and extraordinary service.

Love Ruth's Chris but had a terrible experience

By Pioneer597918 |

I have visited Ruth's at about 20 locations over the last 35 years and have usually had a great dining experience. This recent experience was anything but a pleasure. I have had a tradition for over 10 years of a birthday dinner at Ruth's and have had quite a few at their Portland location. This time we were so rushed it was unbelievable. The waiter never asked about a pre dinner just went straight to asking for our order. When the drinks we ordered arrived I had time for about 2 sips before our appetizers arrived. I had time to eat 2 shrimp from my order of Shrimp Remoulade before the waiter came and moved them to the side so he could place my dinner plate down. My sister had finished her main course and I was still eating when they began clearing her plate and asking if we wanted a take home container. I will admit I was a little testy when I said to not touch a thing. When I finally finished I declined the offer of a complimentary birthday dessert and we paid our check and left. There were 3 losers that night. My sister and I lost the fine dining experience we were used to having at Ruth's, the waiter lost a substantial portion of his tip and Ruth's lost the additional income they would have received from after dinner liqueurs and coffee we would normally have had. Instead we went back to the Hilton and had them there. The food was for the most part good, with the exception of my filet which I chose not to take with me. All together not the great birthday meal I was hoping for. One last thing I should mention that I found out the next day is that flowers that a friend ordered for me were delivered to the restaurant two hours before our reservation but never made it to my table as they had for the previous two years.

Great meat !!

By Notsurewhatyoumean |

We were desperately in need of serious meat and we were largely satisfied !!! Took the tomahawk piece for two, that was delicious !! Service was excellent. The only downside that did not make the experience flawless was the placement hostess: the restaurant was clearly not full, and some of the tables even remained empty during all our dinner, but the hostess insisted initially to pretend there was a wait of 15 min (that turned magically into 5). really snobbish and ridiculous.

Overpriced and undercooked!

By MikeandWendy01 |

Having eaten in Ruths Chris in New York several times we were a bit disappointed in this one. There was no atmosphere and the food was average although the price certainly wasn't! We shared a porterhouse which was way undercooked from the "medium" we had asked for and the steak itself was not the quality we would have expected. Usually the crème brulees are fantastic and although this one tasted good it was much smaller than the ones we've had in New York. In terms of quality, price and value for money this was our most disappointing meal in Portland.

Best Steak House Period!!!

By garyhI5434WY |

The food was absolutely wonderful, took our daughter there for her 21st birthday and we had a party of 8. From the appetizer to the salad to the main course to the desert was superb. It my new favorite place to eat.

Great place downtown.

Great wine list and bar menu and really good for small group or solo. Enjoyed the wine by the glass program, many options and good bar bites. Have not been in the dining room but love the bar area. Great service as well. Love the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail.

Lovely celebration

By Louiseida |

I love a good steak and choose Ruth's Chris for a birthday celebration. Fantastic steak, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. It's old fashioned in a good way. White linen tablecloths, private booths, quiet as a good solid restaurant should be. Not particularly trendy but the menu had some new bright menu options in addition to the best beef.

Best birthday dinner for hubby!

By AlexMom |

So we have been wanting to try this restaurant and came across this restaurant while visiting downtown Portland. I'm so glad we did. I made the reservation just a few mins before arriving and noted that it's my hubby's bday. They out confetti on our table and gave him a bday card too! Sooo nice. We had the ribeye steak and mashed potatoes and it was absolutely delicious!! So tender and so tasty! Bread was also fresh! We also enjoyed the key lime cheesecake, chocolate and peanut brittle and strawberry sorbet! Absolutely to die for! It's kinda pricey but so worth it!!!

Wonderful evening

By entboy2013 |

When traveling I usually like to find a non franchise steakhouse. However without a car I had to stick to something that is known. Ruth's is in downtown and hence we could walk to it from our hotel. We were immediately greeted and seated a beautiful table. Our Manhattans and Moscow Mules were perfect and strong. We had two prawn cocktails appetizers which were awesome. Our steaks and sides were cooked to perfection. Dessert was also good but I was too full to finish it. Service was great never wanting for anything. Large wine selection local wines too but went with a great Napa Cab. It was fleet week and it was nice to see the management bring buying our sailors food and drinks.
