The gumbo was fantastic. The fried chicken very good. A great down home place in what's now getting chic Fort Greene Brooklyn.

Ok first I will discuss the bad moment that we had at this place. My sister made reservations for last Saturday's birthday dinner for 8 pm and was told that if all 9 people do not show up by 8..we would lose our spot, be on a waiting list and might be sitting by 10:30 pm. So make sure you get there on time. Everyone had arrived by 7:30 pm and we still had to wait 30 minutes in the front area where few seats were available. The waiting area should have been bigger and we felt bad standing next to two couples sitting and eating up a storm. Not bad for having one bad moment, right? As for the highlights..some of us had the Mardi Gras cocktail with was really good. Why not drink while waiting for a seat, right? In terms of appetizers..we had short rib pizza and the Carolina Shrimp rolls (I'm not a sushi person, but I did enjoy the rolls than the short rib pizza). I had ordered the molasses braised short ribs with broccoli (meat was very tender), wifey had the fried chicken with red velvet waffle (the waffle was sweet enough that she didn't need to add the syrup and the chicken was well fried and full of flavor), pops had blackened salmon and a relative had the Herb Marinated Skirt Steak with Sautéed Collards, Roasted Potatoes, Chimichurri. The food is a bit pricey. Good thing that we had ordered appetizers since we would have been hungry after the entrees. Oh yeah..the mac n cheese amount is massive and the cornbread was "ok". I had better cornbread at another Southern/Creole restaurant. All in all..is the food worth the visit....yes. Would I go back and try more cocktails...hellz yeah!

I've been hearing so much about this restaurant that I had to try it. Although I specifically came for th waffles and chicken it was a little disappointing. The chicken by itself was fabulous and the waffles by themselves were great but the combination was nothing spectacular. What I really enjoyed was the jambalaya. The service was great but it helped a lot that we had a reservation. Without a reservation you'd be waiting forever.

Good food at moderate prices and good service in a warm environment. Mac and Cheese and Salomon burger very good

Sigh! Sat 5/26 was my fourth and final visit to Soco. The entire evening from start to end was handled poorly. Our group of 13 were all on time for the 8pm reservation (secured this reservation in April and made an in person deposit due to the party size as we were coming to celebrate a 40th birthday). We told the hostess "Tia" we were all present and that we had our cake to be placed in their fridge (addtn'l charge of $20). She asked us to give her a few minutes to check on the back and will call us when she's ready. She walked by us several times and when we made eye contact she would say "give me 5 minutes", 5 mins turned into an hour. When we were finally seated at 9pm, she stated she would send over a complimentary drink for the delay. Two glasses of champagne were provided for the entire table..SMH We approached Tia at 11pm to inquire about the wait for the main course. She stated they were waiting for everyone's dish to be ready so they can send it out. At this point, the group became irritated at the idea of being served cold food since our plates are sitting. The birthday boy thanked us for coming out but stated we should leave as we didn't deserve to be treated so badly. He asked Tia for the bill for the salad/wings and drinks we consumed and stated we would not wait any longer for dinner. A gentleman named Maurice approached him and said your food is ready and we will bring it out now, you do not want it? He respectfully declined and asked for the bill. Maurice responded "OK" and went into the kitchen. Neither Maurice, Tia nor the owner Mark offered an apology for the delay in being seating, wait for dinner...nothing! Soco, please train your staff on ways to handle large groups, the customer service do's and don'ts (DO apologize when YOU are the reason for delays, DON'T tell customers well I don't handle reservations so I don't know what to tell you)

While staying in Brooklyn on business, I was fortunate to discover SoCo. It offers southern cooking that's as good and as authentic as any you might find in the south. I've been there two nights in a row and expect I'll eat every meal there during my contract. First of all, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and I quickly made friends with some of the other diners. I instantly felt at home. The food was amazing. The gumbo was very good although I would have preferred it a little bit different. But that's the thing about gumbo: everyone has a different idea of what it should be. The blackened salmon was not prepared quite the way I wanted, but was still very good, and the staff offered to make it right for me. The next night I tried the jambalaya which was among the best I've ever had, and the steamed mussels were a wonderful appetizer for that dish. It is Brooklyn, and as a Midwesterner I suffered a little bit of sticker shock, but as I said the atmosphere, the environment, and the food are so amazing I expect be there every night for the next several weeks. I can't recommend it enough.

I went here for my friend's birthday brunch the other day. This was like my second time coming here. The first time was years ago and in the evening. I don't remember the food at that time. However, when I went for the brunch, I loved it! I had the sausage and grits. It wasn't the southern style grits that I'm use to but it was on point! The sausage was excellent! It had a nice spice to it and the grits were very good as well. And the drinks were good. The service was good too. I will definitely be returning here again with my husband.

The service was excellent. The hostess and both our waiters were so kind and patient. The food was amazing. I had the red velvet waffles and they did not disappoint. The chicken was ok. I’ve had better but they were still good and I’d definitely go back. The music was nice and I loved the ambiance.

I love this place! I have taken different people to it over the past year and not one of them has had a complaint yet! I can really only vouch for the fried chicken and red velvet waffles for myself because its my favorite and I order it every time! The waffles are so moist that the syrup is not even necessary. And I can't leave without my Mac and cheese. It's a very large portion, so much so that if you don't share with the table you will have more than enough to take home. We also had the F-Que wings for an appetizer and they are excellent as well. Other dishes popular with my friends were the Lobster, Shrimp & Grits and Blackened Salmon. So far the only thing that I tried that I was not impressed with was the cornbread. It was a little too dry and bland for my taste. Other than that I can guarantee you will love the food. The atmosphere is great and they have a fantastic enclosed atrium in the rear that's very nice in the evenings. Can't go wrong if you choose Soco!

It was very desapointing : waiting hours for table while other local people arriving without Booking and been placed before you 😣

Awesome as usual. Love this place. I don't know who the owner is, but keep up the awesome work. It will only get better. If you decide to expand please don't lose the quality of the food and continue to keep and hire the experienced, and most professionals I've ever seen in the Brooklyn restaurant that I have been to.

Our first time going on 5/8/2022 on mothers day. My girlfriend and her mother also came. I ordered the creole gumbo soup was horrible only had corn, rice and clergy no seafood or meat. The salmon cakes was so nasty it left a bad taste in my mouth and the cakes were just not prepared good. The margaritas was so watery for $18.00 dollar in the smallest glass they here there. My girlfriend ordered a Marda gras and stated it was horrible as well. The only thing that was alright was the BBQ chicken surprise that was so so. Never will go back bad experience for a first time visit. Wont get my hard earn money again.

We are visiting from out of town and we had a great dinner here. Walked in on a Sunday night with no reservation and the place was packed-but they quickly took care of us-shorter wait than told, and the service was so attentive. Food was perfect-we had the fried chicken with Red Velvet Waffle, the BBQ smoked chicken and the short ribs and each hit it out of the park. Not a single complaint. Restaurant was a little noisy and warm-but a sign of everyone having a good time-which we did! Great southern style food with a twist. We will be back.

This restaurant was amazing, the food was great especially the mac n cheese. Tia was very professional and made us feel welcome. I will visit when in my again

We went for their brunch and were blown away. Yes they have the chicken with waffles only the waffles are red velvet! And the pancakes (sweet potato) were amazing as was the strawberry shortcake french toast. Exceptional flavors. Service was incredible. There was a line outside BEFORE they opened so I strongly recommend making revervations!

I am so happy I was told to go there! SOCO is a beautiful, contemporary yet homey, place with awesome food. The first time I was there I had the fried chicken and red velvet waffles and in another visit the eggs benedict, both for brunch. Best fried chicken I have ever had and I have fried chicken frequently. Their cornbread is also out of this world. The menu is varied and the staff is very nice. If you can call and make a reservations that is better, the place is always busy.

If you want a chic & trendy place to have brunch, then SOCO in Brooklyn is a MUST! I cannot remember what else was on the menu because I was sent there to try the red velvet waffle + chicken= DELICIOUS. If you are from the south (like I am), then you know how we feel about chicken and waffles lol. Definitely was not expecting the chicken to be as flavorful as it was.

It is very rare to go to a restaurant and everything you order hugs and caresses your taste buds like they belong together. My brother and I started off with an order of ribs and an order of wings. The ribs were cooked to perfection and the taste was great. The wings were tender and tasted great. The came the sides: cornbred and mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was so cheese and fresh. I am a mac n cheese connoisseur, so trust me when I say the mac n cheese was to die for. The corn bread was great and topped with a sweet-tasting butter. Lastly, our entrees came out: the fried chicken and red-velvet waffle and sweet potato pancakes. I am not a fan of red-velvet anything, so the waffle was all right. The chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection. If I could give the sweet potato pancakes more than a two-thumbs up, I would. I love pancakes (I'm part of the "pancakes> every other food" gang) and these have to be the best pancakes I have ever had in my life. The pancakes were topped with Honey Cinnamon Cream and Fruit Compote.

This restaurant is amazing! We had a cocktail (pre-made but still tasted good). For our dinner we ordered the most popular dish - red velvet waffles with fried chicken and the option to have maple syrup.... It was SO GOOD! The waffle was so soft, moist and full of flavour, and the chicken was cooked to perfection! We also had a side of mac n cheese which was the tastiest mac n cheese I've ever tried! This restaurant is somewhere to definitely dine in if you're in Brooklyn.

As a foreigner this was the first time I had fried chicken with a waffle, in the same dish. It was excellent, the chicken was nicely spiced and the contrast with the red velvet waffle did things to my tastebuds that I cannot explain in words. Quick and friendly service as well.

I dined here with my family this past Sunday night. We had a large group of 14 people for my sister's birthday weekend, most were from out of town, but 2 were running late. I understand that it's the restaurant policy to only seat complete parties, and we agreed to seat the 12 that were there with the understanding that when the other 2 people arrived they would be seated at a table for 2. No big deal, right? Well, the 2 people arrived about 30 minutes after us. The doorman/host was refusing to let them inside, which we only found out after they called my sister's phone to say they were outside. She had to get up and go to the host and let him know that the 2 people were with us, and had their food ordered to go. The situation could have been handled with WAY MORE TACT. Especially since the restaurant wasn't crowded. It was a SUNDAY NIGHT. It's not even like the kitchen had closed. There were people at other tables still ordering items. So while the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, the staff situation was a definite turn off especially for those in our party whose first visit it was.

Came here for dinner last Friday with a friend. Had a heard a lot about this place and was really looking forward to going. The ambiance in the place is AMAZING! We sat in the back section. I decided to order a margarita. When I go the drink--it tasted horrible. It was supposedly made with Patron, but tasted like rubbing alcohol. I told my waiter that I did not like it and asked for a beer instead. He returned with my beer and said he would give me the beer for free, but had to charge me for the drink. Regardless of the small dollar amount (or so I thought), I thought it was ridiculous for a place like this to do that. But I got over it. We had the Caesar Salad, which I was not a big fan of (thought it was too sweet). Then we had the Jambalaya (AMAZING) and the Chicken and Waffles (TO DIE FOR). We had asked the waiter not to bring our food until at least 7:15 pm and he assured us he would. Of course the food came at 7:05. Finally, we get the bill. I was charged $12 for a patron and $2 to make it into a margarita. So I ended up paying $14 for a blue moon. The food may be good, but a place that would charge be $14 for a drink I didn't have instead of making me happy is a place that 1) I will not go back to and 2) I will tell everyone my experience and encourage them not to go either. Instead, they could have made me a very happy customer and I would have gone back regularly, as I work nearby.

Champagne mimosa special, chicken and waffles, mac and cheese, eggs Benedict and lobster with grits were the meals at our table and each one was perfect!!! Bartender was a doll and the waitress was excellent! Food was served hot and perfectly seasoned. Delish! Would go back even though it is not in my neighborhood.

Found this on Google maps having just arrived in Brooklyn. It was the only one near by that had any decent rating so thought we would try it. Very different menu, made such a change from burgers with everything. Food was excellent as was the service. Very reasonably priced. Not the most comfortable seating in some places especially when busy. Nice atmosphere too. Didn't get time to revisit as the first was spoiled a bit by a very noisy birthday party, sure one girl doubled up as a fog horn. Still cannot blame the restaurant for that. If you happen to stay at the Condor Hotel then this is the best place to eat within walking distance. Overall 9/10

I recently visited Soco's and I am happy to say the food was very tasty and the serving size is enough to fill your tasty craving of New Orleans style cuisines. I had the seafood grits and it was delish! The cornbread is served warm with a sweet cinnamon butter and I could probably eat six of these if I allowed myself.

Tip: Be sure to make a reservation for weekend dining. It becomes crowded at times, but you can always walk in. Now on to the food! Sorry I couldn't wait... You must, must, musssst order the Lobster tail, with Shrimp and Grits. Yummmmmy. I was never a fan of grits but at Soco it just goes great in this dish. Very, very tastey and very filling. If you have room be sure to also order their mac n cheese. If you don't have room order it to go! It's a nice twist to mac n cheese, with the smokey flavor. Wish there was more space between seating. But.... Once you dig into the food, you will forget that someone is that close. Enjoy!

Came in for dinner.....well all of my food was delicious!!!! Well prepared, fresh, and simoly delicious. Ensure you do not go during intermission. ..as they close the kitchen down for a period of time. We didnt wait long for our food. The mac n cheese is divine!! The drinks were ok, depends on bartender ...overall a great time!! Ever in Brooklyn stoo in!! Their famous chicken and red vrlvet waffles are a must!!

The food lived up to my expectations, but I was shocked by the profanity laced music playing in the restaurant. There was a family with young children there so although they cater to a young urban crowd all kinds of people patronize this restaurant so there is no need for profanity laced rap music to be played, they should play the edited version for that reason I will not go back.

My niece and I were visiting from D.C. and she found Soco on the net. The food, ambiance, and total experience was great. The music was good and appropriate and we ate and ate, ate some more and everything we ordered from the shrimp appetizer to the stuffed French toast was excellent. I highly recommend!

It was amazing, the fd, atmosphere, music, service just yummy is all I can say. The red velvet waffles are amazing you don't even need syrup. The chicken was seasoned well, Mac and cheese awesome, and the grits great. It is warm and inviting. Drinks were good as well.

This restaurant had the best mac and cheese that I have ever had. Everyone in the restaurant was having it delivered to their tables. The shrimp, lobster and grits was also fabulous. I wish I had known about this restaurant earlier in my visit to Brooklyn. I would have been back for another great meal. Loved the upbeat hip music playing also.

Several friends have told me about this restaurant and I decided that I must try it for myself. My husband had the a pork sandwich (which for some reason I don't see the name of it in the menu) Nevertheless, he stated it was good and a wonderful taste and was filling. I had the Chicken and Waffles. The waffles had a strong red velvet taste that held its own along with the buttermilk chicken. The flavors did not over take each other. I loved it. We made reservations a day in advance and so glad we did. When we arrived the place was packed but because of advance reservations we were immediately seated. I recommend strongly that you make reservations in advance otherwise the wait is long.

Always heard great things about SOCO, had to go see what the talk was about. Defiantly worth the visit the staff was great the food is amazing, the mac n cheese is the best mac n cheese I ever had at a restaurant. This also was my first time trying fried chicken and waffles I LOVED it the fried chicken is amazing(((must order a madi gras great drink)))

The service was horrible! We waited over 2 hours for our food to be served. Once the food was here it was disgusting! Upon talking to the owner he was very rude and condescending. The waiter AJ however was amazing!

needed a place last minute on a thursday, called to check if there would be a table available, we were seated right away (arrived at 7:30pm). Orders cocktails off the menu, pretty good (they like to use a lot of berries in their drinks). Average price 12 bucks. For dinner we had the salmon burger and chicken and red velvet waffles-fantastic! The chicken was crisp, moist and had the right amount of spice. The waffles were fluffy and delish with the bourbon syrup-it wasthe perfect combo. The salmon burger was great but it really was the spicy slaw the made the difference. Atmosphere was nice. There is an 'outdoor' area (covered patio) nice lighting and decor. Service was awesome-attentive, water glasses never went empty and empty plates were cleared quickly.

When Soco's first opened the food was so good. I used to go often with friends and family. After today's experience I will not be going back again. The place has gone down hill customer service wise. I don't even want to explain what happened today but it ended up a shouting match with managers and servers, we paid over our check amount and was to that we shortened them $211. The server had no idea how to calculate the tab correctly. It took about 1 hour for her to figure out the bill. It was quite a mess. The food has also lost it's zest. The red velvet waffles and fried chicken used to be so good. I don't know what has happened but the chicken portions have gotten smaller and the waffle is horrible. Soco's has truly lost it's touch. People will still go because it's a "hot spot" or they know no better. Everyone will have a different experience but after going to eat there for years and now will longer go back, that is saying something. Our entire party of 8 was disappointed and will not be going back. Some of them it was their first time going to Soco's. First impressions didn't go well. Bye Soco's it's been real. Lost some loyal customers today 2/17/19

Food, excellent.... service meh. I felt like we were begging for her to take our orders. The waitress was not rude, but she barely came by to see if my bestie and I needed anything. The sad fact was that another waiter that wasn’t assigned to us was more attentive. I debated about posting this review because the food there has never been a problem. The food is always good! I love the Branzino and the salmon. The Mac and cheese... OMG to die for. It was just this waitress and the busboy that was a woman. One of the owners was there the night I was there and I could have gotten her in trouble, but that’s not me. She may have been rude, but I don’t want to be the reason she was fired or written up. The “bus person” was mad because I ordered more food when the waitress finally came by. She bought me more food, but took my fork. She didn’t come by for more than 10 minutes, so I took a clean fork from another table that was empty. The “bus person” lost her mind! She told me I was going to get her in trouble for taking the fork because empty tables are supposed to be set with silverware. The waitress had the nerve to circle the tip suggestions portion of the bill and come by the table asking me if I needed anything several times 5 minutes before we were leaving. Unacceptable. She got a tip, but a 15% tip. I know she probably thought because my bestie and I were 2 women, we would not leave a tip. Wrong! We would have left a 30% tip if she was better. I saw her catering to this couple 5 feet away from us. Guess what... they left her virtually nothing! Karma is a ....!

Good quality food, great atmosphere, excellent customer service, ohh and last but not least cocktail heaven! I can definitely recommend this restaurant. Great job to Malissa and the team.

Service was great. Food real good. Had the blackened salmon. Others had the chicken waffle and NY strip. All were good. Small and intimate.

This restaurant is the type of atmosphere I enjoy. It’s a laid back, come eat and relax type of place which suits me well. I had the wings with collard greens, Mac and cheese and okra and tomatoes. Everything blended well. I enjoyed my meal and the leftovers was still good after I reheated my food. They need a better sound system and to lower the sound when people are dining because it’s hard to speak with the person you’re dining with but a great spot nevertheless.

My husband and I went there after a concert at the Kings theater. The concert ended late so I was hoping it was still open. To my surprise it was open and there was a short wait to be seated no biggie. You must get the Mac and Cheese!! The Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles were on point! My husband had the skirt steak, he said if we weren't in public I would lick the plate! We will definitely be going there again well worth the wait!!

For tasty meal this is my spot. Serving portions are good so you can share. I have had everything on the menu and love them all!!!!

The food was AWESOME! Red velvet waffles & chicken, seafood grits - must try! Love the atmosphere and decor! Staff was very helpful and spirited! Lots of smiles!

I was totally blown away by the fusion created in the food. Nicely priced...will visit again and again!

My wife and sister took me to Soco for a birthday dinner, we reserved in advance and had to wait about 15 Minutes when we arrived. The food was really good we ordered a bunch of appetizers to start with and I really really loved the white cheddar grits. We almost stuffed ourselves on the Mac and cheese prior to our meal arriving this is why we actually came and the Mac and cheese did not disappoint, very cheesy and hot with a unique taste and a nice crust. The entrees were also delicious I really enjoyed my pork chop and yams, the only negative I had all night was the lemonade was very very tart but this is a minor issue. The food was great and I had a great time and would recommend to anybody.

I came here last minute with a friend for brunch. As it usually is there were people waiting inside and outside for a table - the wait we were told was about 45mins. Luckily, we snatched two open bar seats and sat down. The bartender was great, I should have gotten her name to give her a shoutout. She was making some really interesting drinks and entertained all of my questions as she was doing her job. I originally wasn't drinking but i convinced myself to try their bloody mary and boy I was not disappointed. Their mix is really good. I wanted to order one of everything on the menu to taste them as they all sounded amazingly good. We ended up ordering the chicken and waffles, and the omlet to get some healthy in.The food didnt come out that fast, but we expected that because of how busyu it was. I have had my share of chicken and waffles and this one takes the red velet cake! The waffle is cooked to perfection and the syrup is perfect. My chicken did come out a little undercooked for my eyes, and our bartender apologized multiples and sent it right back. It came out fresh and perfect! I will be back again to try all of the other menu items that were making my mouth water! The trick is to snag some bar seats and avoid the wait!

Ok so we made a B line to this restaurant because of the chicken and waffles and the great reviews. The Food was good, not great. The Uber ride From Midtown was $65, my friend got sick from cross contamination (shell fish allergies). Food was very expensive.. The manager was really trying to make us feel good, he took of the meal that made my friend sick, and he gave us free champagne. The ambience of the place was awesome!!!

My friend and I decided to look for a soul food joint in Brooklyn and we happened upon Soco. I prepped my palette for the entire day excited to eat some soul food as it has been years since I had indulged. I should have equally managed my expectations. The service was great from my server, but the food experience and particularly the entree I selected was HORRIBLE, but more on that later. My shared side order of BBQ ribs (6 pieces)were dry with 2 end pieces that should not be served to paying patrons. For my entree, I ordered the fried catfish with garlic mash potatoes and a side order of okras and tomatoes in lieu of mixed vegetables. While the semi cooked catfish was bad, the worst was the tasteless okra and tomatoes swimming in a pool of pinkish water. The okras were frozen and not fresh and simply should never be served. Even my cousin who is the worst cook, would have done better with her eyes closed. Thus far, this is the worst food experience I have had and particularly at $103 hard earned dollars. I did lodge a complaint with the server who reported the same to the manager. The manager came to the table and offered that he would bring my complaint to the attention of the chef or should I say the cook. Nothing else was offered. This is my personal and undisputed experience. Your experience may be different.

The food was delicious, like I was eating a home cooked meal. Great value also. The staff was very attentive to and available to take our request even though the place was packed. The only thing that bothered me was being bumped by other patrons as they were getting up, but thats part of eating in a small establishment. I'd highly recommend Soco to everyone.

My husband and I along with 6 other friends decided to have a Sunday brunch for his birthday. We had reservations but because our entire party wasn't there on time, our table was given away. The hostess was kind enough to find us a table anyway. The restaurant was extremely overcrowded to a point where is was uncomfortable and it is a rather small space to begin with. We got to our table and there wasn't enough chairs, two menus for 8 people, no utensils, and 4 glasses of warm water. I was very turned off by that. Our waiter was nice but boy was he busy. Most of us ordered the chicken and red velvet waffles, the chicken wasn't crispy but the waffles were fluffy and tasted great. Drinks were good. Mac n cheese was very good but $11, which is wayyyyyy too much for a side. My husband had the gumbo which was good as well. We didn't have trouble finding street parking but that might of been by chance. If I'm in the neighborhood, I would stop in but never go out of my way for that place.

The title of my review should catch your attention immediately! Their food is southern with a twist, and I mean in a good way. Didn't lose that southern taste, just better. Their cocktail menu is also worth checking out, really great drinks with a kick.

Our meals consisted of barbecue chicken wings as an appetizer. We eat these quite often at home. I need their recipe-these wings were the best I've ever eaten! I had short ribs ( I know, I like meat) with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli. The ribs melt in your mouth and the sides were perfect. Generous portions too. My son's steak was just right. he also had a brownie sundae for dessert-goey, warm with caramel, served in a cute little cast-iron pan. Heaven! Why does Brooklyn have to be so far? Well, Soco's a reason to go back!

I tried this place for a quick bite with some colleagues while in Brooklyn. The place was pretty empty for mid week during lunch but the food was surprisingly good. I had the fried chicken sandwich which had two large pieces of chicken (and fries). The lemonade was good though I was surprised they didn’t served iced tea. One of my colleagues had the salmon and he enjoyed it. The service was ok and the food took a bit longer than I expected but it wasn’t a ridiculously long wait. Give this place a try.

Food was delish and ambiance was great. The drinks were really good . Hope to go back next time I am in NYC ; Brooklyn In The House!!

I enjoyed the cuisine as did my family, party of 6 for Sunday brunch. It seemed like a very, very popular place as there were patrons waiting outside with us for our noon reservations, right when they open on Sunday. But it was so very, very noisy that we had to shout across the table to be heard. Big disappointment as this family visit was 4 years in the making and we had a lot to catch up on. I should have investigated further about the noise level.

We visited Soco for my mother in laws birthday. I wanted to address the price since many of the reviews indicated that it was pricey, I think that depends on what you are accustomed to. I ordered the Chicken and red velvet waffles it was $20. I wish it was served with cream cheese. Soco offers an unlimited mimosa special on Saturdays for $15 pp. There were 6 adults and 2 children in our party and our bill was about $300 including the included gratuity, so you be the judge. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. The atmosphere and decor were really nice and the staff was great.

Atmosphere, charm, and service win over this local eatery in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn. Located directly across the street from Pratt, this restaurant boasts impeccable design and a flair for modern finishings. Make reservations if going on weekends as this place is always packed! The menu is a fusion of southern comfort food and modern delicacies. I had the Seafood Jambalaya and it was amazing! My friends had the Blackened Salmon and loved it! None of us dared to try the Chicken with Red Velvet waffle, but many tables around us did and it looked amazing. Halfway through our meal, a man with a violin began to accompany the background music composed of R&B/neo-soul contemporary tunes, which added to the ambience. Still, it was still quiet enough to engage in conversation and enjoy our meal. Wasn't too thrilled with the mac'n cheese, but I did try their Strawberry Shortcake for dessert and it was nothing short of heaven! Cool place for friends or a date.

Tasty food, crowded, lively, friendly staff, a good combination at a good fusion restaurant. Bring your friends, just for the drinks alone. Bar tenders were right on with there selections and not too high of prices for what you're getting. Food was tasty and I was told to get the mac n cheese. I'm glad my friends told me, not only did I have one there, I brought one home as well. Also very good chicken n red velvet waffles, brought that home too. Soco does get crowded, but the food and drinks are well worth the trip. Another good place that I will come back to.

This little restaurant is quickly becoming one of my favorites in Brooklyn. The food and service has been excellent each time I've gone. I especially love the hibiscus martinis, the mac & cheese and the short ribs which just melts in your mouth!!! They also have a great little outdoor enclosed area, nice music and an upbeat atmosphere. It's worth a visit!!!

This has become one of my favorite spots. I live in Queens but make it my business to troop out to Brooklyn to get some of this amazing grub. Everything is good but save yourself the time and energy of browsing the menu and just get the red velvet chix and waffles with a side of Mac and cheese. You will thank me 1000 times in your head. The pleasure is all mine. The Mac here will leave you disappointed whenever you order it elsewhere. It's a great spot for special occasions like bday dinner and girls night out but also a great spot just to go chill and enjoy some southern comfort with a Brooklyn twist. And it's a super trendy spot so get a lil cute before you go so you can compliment the swanky appeal. Enjoy!

This was a great find, I went there for lunch and the food was delicious. My husband and daughter had the red velvet waffles and fried chicken and I had salmon with a sweet potato puree and their famous mac and cheese and everything was delicious. Excellent service. I planned to go back there again and again.

Was on holiday in NYC and stayed in Brooklyn. Found SOCO and went for lunch. Myself and my friends loved the food and the cocktails were awesome!! What really made the experience was the staff, cant remember the name of our waiter but he was attentive but not pushy, knowledgable about the menu and cocktails and just made us feel welcome. Looking forward to my next NYC trip and will be heading for lunch at soco again.

I had the smoked BBQ chicken and OMG! It was delicious! It's been nearly a week since I was in NY and I still think about that meal. The best part about it was that it was served HOT! Not after sitting under a warmer, but hot off the stove (or grill or whatever they used)! If I could get this meal delivered to my house in Michigan I would! Highly recommended. My friend had the Salmon with the sweet potato mash and he loved it as well. Oh! Don't miss the strawberry shortcake! They served mine with a bday candle and sang to me! Just the icing on the already scrumptious cake!

Went to dinner with the family. The restaurant is nice. It is a dark setting, romantic. I ordered a mojito, it was just ok. ( Please note there is no menu for kids. ) my youngest ordered the blackened salmon. It was very good. My oldest ordered the barbecued chicken and she was pleased. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was very good. I was not crazy about the waffles at all. The red velvet waffle was pretty but it didn't have much flavor, and I really love waffles. I was a bit disappointed. We had a side of Mac and cheese it was good. I found myself eating of off everyone elses plate. Overal

Booked this place looking for something a bit different to usual take on southern/soul food. definitely not disappointed. Service was first class, friendly but not in your face. Mixed crowd, of families, couples and large groups. Food was spectacular, the jambalaya (one of the specials) was a standout. Well worth a visit.

The food was simply delicious - words can't describe how good it was. We had the robs with molasses and the mac n' cheese - so good! This was out first meal out on a 3 week trip of the USA, and nothing after it could top it. Lawrence was our server and was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Eat here or you're missing out!

Visited for the first time this past weekend. Very cute spot and nice atmosphere. We had the wings as an app. They were delicious. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. We both were happy with our sections for dinner - salmon and jambalaya. Share a mac and cheese it's large but very good. Will definitely go back to try the chicken and waffle!

Location In Clinton Hills, which is not easily accessible via the train/subway; and still a bit of a walk to/from the subway. The G train is one option. Restaurant and Service The restaurant is spacious and there is a outdoor space. It is however, loud and not just the music which was actually not too loud. The server was okay, but not personable; he took our order and nothing more. There were other minor incidents where the service could have been more attentive. There were only two in our party, so we didn't need to make reservations. Getting seated was easy. Food The food was delicious. Had the red velvet waffles w/fried chicken as well as the lobster, shrimp and grits. The waffles were quite dense, but tasty. The maple syrup was good too. The lobster, shrimp and cheese grits - the grits were creamy and amazing. It had just enough lobster and nice sized shrimp to justify the price.

Pros: The bar area is nice and bartenders provided great service which is the only reason they are getting 2 stars. Live violinist that was also the DJ was good Drinks were good Cons: Management horrible: went there for a birthday celebration on a Saturday afternoon, I was informed since it was 8 people we must order from a pre-fix menu and not allowed to order from the regular menu. The prefix menu as the starter you have only 2 options a Cesar salad or chicken wings. Since I don’t eat dairy or chicken, I ask the waiter could accomidations be made and another salad option be offered. The waiter said let me get the manager Sean and see if it can. When he arrived to the table he told me no accommodation could be made accept that he would take the Cesar out of the salad. When looking at the ingredients, by doing that it would only leave kale lettuce. At that point I stated to him if you do that you would only be bringing be a plate of lettuce at which time his reply was “yes that is correct”. Keep in mind they had other salad options at the restaurant just not on the prefix menu. His attitude and the way he handle me left a very bad taste in my mouth, I only stayed because we were there for a family birthday, I just did not eat there due to the lack of customer service, especially when someone has dietary restrictions. I advise you to never go there with a big party or you will be subjected to a certain menu and although the drinks and music is good, the lack of customer service and accommodating the customer is not worth spending your hard earned money there. I won’t be back.

I love the mac and cheese but the fried chicken is a bit undercooked and I hate that. I have spoken with the manager he told me it's the marinate but I cook and it definitely could use some more cooking. The mac and cheese is a large portion and always hot when it arrives to the table.

I could honestly live off the mac and cheese alone. Best ever! I also tried the wings and it was absolutely amazing. Very rustic vibe and very good twist on southern food, it ain't your momma cooking. Because it's better!

First time going.. it was during their All Day Brunch Sunday! It was sooo good!!! I had the Red Velvet Waffles and Chicken and Mac n Cheese... YUMMMMM!!! And we sat outside.. so nice! The wait said 30 minutes but it really was like 15-20! I would highly recommend!

You can sit in or outside. Good food. Typical American style of food. With a bit of Asian fusion. Just try it out, you will not be dissapointed.

We were looking for delicious southern cuisine and that’s exactly what This restaurant delivered. The food, drinks and service were top notch! The pace was leisurely, as expected, true to southern form. We were in no rush and savored every bite of our hush puppies, cornbread, lobster and shrimp grits, and fried chicken with red velvet waffle. Truly divine and one of my best NYC dining experiences!

Too much hype, poor service. Average food and too expensive. Atmosphere very nice, great crowd, but i went for the food and was disappointed.

I was in NYC for work, and I didn't finish until 10pm one night. I was starving and tired, so I googled restaurants near my hotel so I could walk back after my cab dropped me off. Google said SOCO was closed at 11pm. When I got there, the doorman said their kitchen was closed. Obviously I was super disappointed as that meant I would have to wander the streets of Brooklyn looking for some dinner. I was standing on the sidewalk outside the restaurant re-consulting google, when the doorman came out and said if I want to order something for take out, that would be ok. Perfect. So I go back in, have a nice glass of wine at the bar, while I was waiting for my meal-to-go. I ordered the butternut squash with collard greens in a mushroom cream sauce, because I thought that had the best chance of keeping it's integrity during the 15 minute walk back to my hotel. And I was right. Even after sitting in a plastic container as I navigated my way back to my room, it was the best ravioli I'd ever had! Absolutely fantastic! So I give 5 stars, and my eternal gratitude to SOCO for feeding me even when they were almost closed, and for having incredible food!

chicken&red velvet waffles and butternut squash ravolli..MMMMmm perfect. bathroom separate from sink to accommodate both sexes.

My son suggested this place for my family birthday dinner. The evening started a little rocky because I ordered a Brandy Alexander (straight up) and when it arrived it had ice. I reminded the waiter that the drink should not have ice and sent it back. When the drink came back I could see ice still floating in the drink. This was annoying since everyone loves a GOOD bartender and especially with the price of drinks these days, he should have taken the time to at least strain the drink, but instead just spooned some of the ice out, leaving shaved ice floating in the glass. This turned me off so I sent the drink back and just ordered sangria. After the drink debacle, we ordered appetizers and they were delicious. My son and his girlfriend ordered the ribs and my husband and I ordered the shrimp rolls. Well after one bite I knew I should not have shared. I was annoyed after the drink that I ordered, but the food delivered me out of my funk. The entrees were also a big hit. My son had the chicken and waffles and his girlfriend ate every drop of her skirt steak which came with collard greens and potatoes. Now I know that steak and potatoes are a likely pair. However, in my opinion that dish would have been even better if they included sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes. I think the soul food lovers would appreciate more especially with the collard greens. My husband and I both had the short ribs. Wow, delicious! The portions sizes are also very good. We did not get dessert. It was my birthday and my son had told them when he made the reservation, but when we received the dessert menu the waitress did show up again for about 15-20 minutes. By the time she came back we were ready to leave. I was disappointed since it was my birthday and I wanted to indulge. If the wait staff gets better training on how to be attentive to its patrons and the bartender gets his act all the way together, remembering that drinks cost at least as much as appetizers, this would be 5 stars. Food is first, but service is a very close second. If businesses could just remember that, it would be great!

I absolutely love this place!! The food is delicious. I had the Shrimp/Lobster and Grits and shared the Mac and Cheese, which is a must have if you visit. For drinks I had the Dirty South Side Car. Also, my waiter was very attentive! Thank you Sam!!!!!

This restaurant was on the top of my list to try. When hubby and I walked into establishment it was people standing waiting. Being that I used the open table app we didn't have to wait. We were taken to the back where we were seated near the kitchen. It was dark and noisy. We ordered our apps, drinks and our food. I thoroughly enjoyed it. When we got our entree, my of pork chop, shared mac and cheese and greens was amazing! It was a good night. There is street parking.

I will be very honest. I did not like the venue when I got in... It was cold, very little atmosphere, almost unfriendly... Well we sat at bar and Ernesto made our experience extraordinary. Friendly warm knowledgeable and patient. We ordered the mussels, chicken and waffle, wings, mac and cheese and lots of happy hour margaritas. LOL. The chicken was very juicy and crispy, the mussels tender and soft with good flavor. The mac and cheese was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Just like the macaroni au gratin from my childhood. Sorry mom! The wings were ok not my favorite. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Thank you we will be back.

Being from Texas and in NY this was a great place to find to satisfy our need for real food. Family had chicken and waffles and I had the Jambalaya. We also had grits and collard greens. Wait staff was fantastic as we had a deadline and they rushed to beat it for us. Quality of food was very high, loved the appearance of the red velvet waffles under the chicken. Only thing I could ask for was more veggie choices, maybe some corn on the cob or green beans

Went here for brunch. Upon entry was I treated by the most friendliest staff. Lots of menu options but I had to see what the hype was about with the red velvet waffles & chicken. That whole meal was delicious I also tried the mac n' cheese which was very good too. This place is very loud, so be prepared to rise your voice so your company can hear you speak.

I made reservations to check out SOCO, when we got there, there was a line go8ng out the door. We walk in and give the hostess our name and within 10 minutes we were seated. Its a nice place, plenty of room a little loud buts its to be expected. The food was ok, the salmon burger was really falling apart on me. The drinks were good, they had a violinist there performing, but I could hardly hear due to the noise going on in the restaurant which I thought was unfair, if someone is there to showcase their talent, give them their time to shine. Overall it's a place to visit.

this place is a diamond most people cont know about the restaurant but I need to let customers know they have the BEST food ever. Stop by and check this place out.

I am from Texas and my friend suggested Soco for brunch. We were 30 minutes late for our reservation; but it was no problem... We were escorted to the cute patio; which was heated... Our yummy food was brought out quickly... We had the chicken and red velvet waffle which is to die for. The chicken portions are manageable and not huge hunky portions-and very seasoned... The cocktails were yumtastic. All in all, we will certainly go back...

Best Jambalaya I’ve had in a long time - it was freshly made and delivered in a cast iron pot. The service was very attentive and the vibe is really good. It is far better inside that it looks from the outside. I highly recommend this place.

It is really good. Southern style food but really fancy. Service is good, fast and accurate. After a wonderfull bruch with unlimited mimosa for $12 we were ready to hit the city. They take reservarion is the best way to get in on sunday. Chicken over red velvet waffles, eggs benedits and famers omellet are the best...

We live on walking distance from the restaurant. Decided to try is for a family party. Don’t know about food. Service was horrible. The manager was useless at the beginning of our problems, became rude and unprofessional later. The waitress was not present throughout our ordeal. We booked a table for a family party total of 12 adults and kids. We told the waitress that kids and our pregnant niece were hungry. She brought us water in an hour. No bread at all. No updates on the food. Food came to the table after two hours. Two hours of waiting. We couldn’t even judge the quality of food we were so angry. The other tables with smaller parties which came much later than us were served much earlier. The manager was not apologetic. He was aggressive in blaming us for coming to the restaurant on the day they were short-stuffed. How was that our fault??? They took the reservation. In my book they should’ve tried to honor it. We were so upset, we just left. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Yes, sometimes there are issues with the stuff or kitchen. But they could’ve tried instead if blaming us for coming to the restaurant. They lost us for good.

Popped into Soco for lunch during my stay in New York with my partner, we opted to sit at the bar as we noticed it was quite busy and weren't fussed to wait for a table. The cocktails were delicious however our food didn't arrive until 45 minutes after we ordered it! I had the fried chicken and red velvet waffles which was delicious, it's just a big shame about the wait.

We were staying in a hotel in Brooklyn and asked for a lunch recommendation at the front desk. The clerk said "SOCO" and gave us directions. We had no idea what kind of food to expect. After quite a long walk we arrived there and we were surprised to find that SOCO was short for Southern Comfort. Being that all of us were from Texas, we were a bit hesitant, and to be honest, I was afraid they would be serving some "Yankeefied" versions of really delicious dishes that I can easily eat at home on a regular basis. But my fears turned out to be unfounded. Our waiter turned out to be from Houston, and several of the others running the place were also from Texas. And what they are serving at SOCO are some very creative (and delicious) twists on traditional Southern dishes. At our table we enjoyed three of the lunch specials - the fried chicken sandwich, the shrimp po' boy, and the pulled pork sandwich. We all opted for the fries on the side instead of the salad. The portion sizes were very generous and the prices quite reasonable. Best of all, everything was delicious!

Trendy decor with a violinist playing along to the music set the stage for a perfect Sunday brunch. I ordered sausage and grits- sausage was a bit too salty, grits runny but tasty, & eggs were just eggs. I sampled from almost everyone at the table. The chicken and waffles was my favorite. The mac and cheese left me wanting for more once I got home. I will definitely be back! The food was 8/10...drinks10/10.

My husband and I are always on the look out for restaurants with great food and a great atmosphere. He found this GEM. When we entered we had a party of 5 and an infant they said the wait would be between 45 minutes to an hour. In about 7 minutes our table was ready. Appetizers: fried oysters, short beef ribs and chicken wings. DELICIOUS!! Entrée's: Chicken and red velvet waffles, Salmon With mashed potatoes, steak with sautéed green beans and 2 orders of MAC N CHEESE!!! OMGGGGGG!!! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! The best mac n cheese I have EVER tasted!!!

On Saturday 5/26 @7:45PM I arrived for a 13 party reservation for 8pm. I madethis reservation on 4/18/18 which was over a month ago being sepcific on the back table I wanted for my husbands birthday dinner. Upon arrival I realized the table I had reserved was being given to another party although I was 15 minutes early for my reservations. My party ended up having to be seated elsewhere which was the first issue but I decided to let it go to enjoy the night. We were not seated at the other table until 9PM. At this time we all are already hungry but happy to be seated none the less. From arriving at 7:45PM by the third hour at 11:20PM all our party recieved were salad and appetizers. During our visit the owners were in the building and not one person apologized for the lengthy wait or gave a time frame on the entrees arriving. My party ended up leaving after 3.5 hours and never recieved our dinner. I sent a long email to manager and have yet to recieve a respone nor was there any sympathy or apologizes from staff for the 3.5 hour wait. If your celebrating anything don't waste your time coming here. This experience completely ruined my husbands 40th birthday and we had cake for dinner being that everything else was closed by 11:30PM. WHEN SUPPORTING A BLACK BUSINESS GOES WRONG!!!!!!!!!

Visited this restaurant last weekend on a trip to NYC for the NYT Travel Show. Our family friend took us and I am so happy he did! The atmosphere is really dark and chill, perfect for a relaxed dinner. We got a booth in the back area. It was frozen outside, so the heating in the back was so comforting. Soon after we sat down, the hostess came to our table and offered each of us a ticket for a glass of free prosecco at Soco's lounge next door. We ordered a few things to share. Being quite large, the portions were perfect for sharing (we even ended up each packing an item to go). We ordered/shared the following: - Aunt Cruz Mac & Cheese: The best mac & cheese I think I've ever eaten and my favourite part of this meal. - Jalapeño & Cheddar Cornbread: Delicious! We wanted to try this cornbread and the regular cornbread. Our waiter said that they wouldn't be able to do half and half, but offered to put in a second order for the regular cornbread for free. Very nice! - Smoked BBQ Chicken: Really good, juicy chicken. - Jambalaya: So yummy! Freshly made and served in a cast iron pot. It includes seared shrimp, Andouille chicken, chicken breast and dirty rice. - Chicken wings: SO GOOD and full of flavour! I also tried the red lemonade - a really delicious, fruity cocktail with a hint of sour. After dinner, we took our prosecco tickets next door and hung out at the lounge for a bit. It was very cozy and had a super laid back vibe. Aside from the good food, the service was really friendly, fast and attentive. I definitely recommend going and trying this place!

Came here for dinner. I was the "food critic" for the night and I absolutely loved this place. Service was spot on. They ALWAYS kept our water level above half. The entire staff works as a team. It wasn't just our waiter (Anthony) who waited on us but other staff members helped out with clearing the table and refilling out water. Anthony is an excellent waiter, highly recommended. Onto the appetizers, we had clams, chicken leg with braised short rib, some kind of red oysters, and crawfish dumplings. The clams was very french style driven. Cooked well and had some butter in the sauce. They didn't skimp out on the sauce nor the amount of clams we got. They gave enough clams for more than 4 people. The crawfish dumplings was very good as well. They had lots of crawfish meat in the dumplings, it wasn't like crawfish paste or fake crawfish meat like you have for crab. The center shrimp was big as well, I don't remember the sizing of shrimps off the top of my head but it wasn't the shrimp scampi sized shrimps. The chicken leg with braised short rib and red oysters were complimentary of the chef. The chicken leg and braised short rib was the BEST appetizer in my opinion. The sauce they used and the hours of marination they used all definitely paid off. I could taste the flavor in the meat, not just on the skin. The blue cheese type sauce for the chicken leg was perfect. The cheese wasn't overpowering. You could taste the diced fresh bell peppers. The sauce and the chicken was in perfect harmony. The red oysters was very interesting. I preferred it with the dry cajun rub sprinkled on top of the oyster. I was shocked when I ate it because it was a hot dish. I thought it would have been a cold dish. In any case, I think the oyster could have been undercooked a little bit if they want to keep it as a hot dish. Onto the main course. We had the pork chops crusted salmon, and red velvet waffles with fried chicken, and lobster grits (complimentary from the chef). i liked the pork chops in the sense of the herbs he used and how he crusted it but the pork was dry for me. If he can moisten it up, it would be a perfect dish. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Flaked off nicely, didn't crumble. The asparagus that came with it was fresh and cooked properly. The red velvet waffles was interesting. I've never had anything like it before but after having it, I definitely prefer it over regular waffles!! The fried chicken wasn't overly battered and they used eggs in their batter. I think this helped make the fried chicken feel light. The wing was excellent, thigh was a little dry. If you can, request for the dark meat and this dish would be superb. Lastly, the lobster grits. I thought this was the BEST main course. Had TONS of lobster flavor in the grits and soup base and got a decently sized portion of lobster tail. I would recommend this dish. Onto dessert. We had the sweet potato pie and peach cobbler. I loved the sweet potato pie. Had fresh pecans on top of it and I couldn't taste any burntness to the crust. Same goes with the cobbler. Didn't taste anything burnt. The peaches were cold, the flour wasn't overcooked probably very very slightly undercooked but it was good either way and the vanilla ice cream matched it perfectly. I got a chance to check out the outdoor seating and the bathrooms. It's definitely too hot to sit outdoors now but there's enough space for like 20 people outdoors and I liked the wood they used. It's solid wood not sawdust glued together. The bathrooms were clean and I like how the wash basin is not in the same room as the toilet. This way it facilitates the flow of the bathroom. You'll definitely be using your fingers to eat if you try the chicken leg and braised short rib. The decor has an industrial type feel to it but it's clean and elegant. I love the two candles in the communal table. One important thing to know about this place is they GROW their OWN HERBS. All the herbs they use are fresh. Absolutely love it and the flavors come out in the dishes. Hats off to the chef. He came to out table and chatted with us and actually spent a lot of time with us. He was very receptive of my critiques. He is a very meticulous chef. I saw how he plated his food and it was with surgical precision. I don't remember all the places he trained at but he did train in France. Therefore, I would call this place Southern French fusion. The chef is still working on expanding the menu and this place will have a brunch menu soon. We also got to speak with the owner of the restaurant. He was very friendly, pleasant, and down to earth. He is also the owner of Negril, the caribbean cuisine in Manhattan. I highly recommend this place. I would definitely come back again. The amount of food you get for the price is absolutely a steal!! I will definitely be organizing my next foodie event here and they are well aware of it!

Upon arrival the staff said it would be an approximate wait of 45 minutes. They actually seated us in roughly 30 minutes. So needless to say our visit started off well. Now,once we were seated is where things went haywire. The seating arrangements were very cramped.Like most restaurants they start u off with a glass of water. The water was very warm as to discourage you from drinking water with your meal.My wife and I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side order of Mac and cheese. My wife wanted a glass of sweet tea and I wanted a glass of lemonade. Each beverage cost $5 which is ridiculously overpriced! Our order took a very long time ,when it came it looked delicious. The chicken was good, the red velvet waffle was good and the Mac and cheese was delicious but it was a whopping $11 which again is totally overpriced for a side. The staff in its entirety were very good, they were very attentive but not overbearing.Overall it was an average experience however I will not be goin back for a second visit.

We went to soco for my son's birthday dinner. The mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, and rib appetizer was very good. But my entree of Marinated skirt steak was not good, no flavor, needed more seasoning. I was a little disappointed that they removed a lot of things from the menu that they previously had when they first opened, like the short rib pizza with goat cheese (excellent) And Branzino fish. A little disappointed I would have given them 5 stars in the past

I have never, ever had chicken and waffles together in my life. I have heard of places in the south that sells it but let me say, the red velvet waffle and chicken from here is to die for. I am planning another trip down just so I could have a taste of it one more time.

Great restaurant! Service was a little slow at first but once they got going it was incredible. The spot is trendy, the food is on point and the crowd was electric for Sunday night. Must return to visit!

I loved this place, just the right balance of cool but with food that is totally worth me writing this review. The staff was super friendly and understanding (half of my party couldn't make it) food was amazing the drinks were skillful done.

This is one of those 'one and done' kind of places for me. The food wasn't mind blowing or even out of the ordinary for me but it was overly expensive at the same time. For those that may be wondering, the chicken in the chicken and waffles dish is not boneless. There is also no sauce except for maybe A1 or BBQ sauce that you can use for the blackened chicken dish. When we had it it was extremely dry and bland. At the same time, this place is a little on the pricey side. I do not recommend this place as you can find other restaurants that serve better quality of food for cheaper. The décor and ambience were nice though...

7 days at time square not impressed with food at all...... On my 6th day, I met up with my very good friend, in Brooklyn, let's grab a bite to eat he said, and having such horrible experience with the food on Times-square I wasn't feeling very hungry. I in the end decided to order the salmon burger and all I can say is AMAZING!!!!!! The food was out of this world the atmosphere was amazing everything about this restaurant was great. Oh and the drinks you have got to try!!! My only disappointing moment is that I'm going back to the UK and that I hadn't eaten at this place sooner.

Wet there for my birthday brunch. At first she told us 30 minutes to wait for a table. We went back to ask how long, she says not too long. Next thing you know the place starts getting packed and there is hardly any place to stand. After waiting for 1 1/2 hour we were seated. The food wasn't worth the wait. The wings were bland. The omelette was that great either. The only thing that tasted good was the Mac and cheese. I will not be going back; I don't think they should lie about the wait time, it's ridiculous. No comes to offer anything for the long wait or comes to apologize.

Amazing food and great outdoor space. arrive early for weekend brunch. It gets a bit crowded and the wait gets a bit long. However, well worth the wait.

Great fusion food, great cocktails, and a great team of friendly people! Make sure that you go with an empty stomach and enjoy!

The Ladies' Night menu was out of this world! My selections--the creole gumbo, blackened salmon, mac and cheese and the chef's choice for desert were all outstanding! Service staff is congenial, atmosphere is alive with banter, and every platter that was placed before guests had to first be appreciated for its awesome presentation before being devoured for its deliciousness! Will definitely not be waiting long before returning to experience the other selections. A must-visit!

Went here for Father's Day yesterday, was skeptical because of the bar and I was with my kids. The hostess was beautiful and pleasurable, loved her!! The wait time was on point and our seats were great. I had the French Toast(strawberry). It was plated nice and taste was excellent. Nice job, Bk rep!!

If you want warm friendly southern service, then this is not the place to go! Extremely inflexible with large groups (even with one running late), and an empty restaurant. Manager was horribly unaccommodating and clearly had her own agenda but customer service was not on it.

I visited Soco as a party of six for the first and last time this past weekend for a birthday celebration. Incredulous as it sounds, 5 diners were very dissatisfied. As just two examples, my mom and birthday girl, ordered the okra and tomatoes which tasted as though they were fresh from the can. She also ordered rice and beans that did not look at all edible. She sent both dishes back, one untouched. I ordered the gumbo and after one taste declined to have more. Again, these are just two examples. We expressed our displeasure with the server (very nice young lady). She sent the manager, Shawn/Sean over. When we shared our thoughts about the meal with him, he clearly did not give a damn. The bottom line is I will not ever come back and will strongly discourage anyone that I know to stay as far away as possible

I'm from Alabama , so I know my way around Southern cooking. This was one of my all time favorite places I've ever eaten. I consider myself a foodie too. Chicken and red velvet waffles were so delicious. There were 4 of us, we shared two entrees of the chicken and waffles and a side of Mac and cheese, grits, collards and corn bread. Just right for the 4 of us. All were seasoned just right. My daughter lives in Brooklyn and my husband, son and I were visiting. It was one of my daughters favorite restaurants. Can't wait for our next visit.

If you're in the mood for great tasting southern cuisine with a nice ambiance and service, then SoCo is the spot to visit. This past Mother's Day 2013, I and three other hungry folks ventured into this lively restaurant to sample their lunch. Each and everyone of us enjoyed immensely his lunch. We had the Mac n cheese, blackened salmon, red velvet waffles and fried chicken and steak. All the dishes were deeeelicious..and sumptuously filling, which excluded us from sampling their desserts..a slight disappointment. Our server, Rob, was very attentive and professional. So whenever you decide to visit Clinton vicinity downtown Brooklyn, drop by SoCo to quench your southern cuisine cravings.

The staff is very friendly and the food is tasty. Because it is Southern cooking, I thought it was going to be greasy, but I was wrong. If I'm visiting Pratt again, I know I will eat here again.

I enjoyed the Mac and Cheese. The collars greens were tasty and so were the steamed string beans. The décor was beautiful and nicely layed out. Sasha was wonderful and offered great service. I continue to enjoy this place. So far no disappointments.

First.. Our reserved table was about 15 minutes late so the host walked up to us with complimentary flutes of champaign. We ended up sitting on the patio which was great! The menu was full of amazing choices so all four of us ordered different meals and a few appetizers. The chicken and waffles are beyond amazing while my salmon salad was superb. I don't even want to comment on the Mac n cheese, as I dream of it still. It was a wonderful experience, though we did go home straight after due to being too full to go out! ;)

This spot had been bookmarked for months and I was excited about trying the food after reading all the rave reviews. I ordered the chicken and waffles that were really good. I also ordered a side of the $9 mac and cheese based on the rave reviews from yelp and was greatly disappointed. The mac and cheese was truly a let down and waste of money. The ambience of the restaurant is cool and the staff were friendly. Prices were affordable and I would return but wont touch that mac n cheese.

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch last Friday at Soco. We made reservations on Opentable and were greeted by one of the owners (maybe?). Our server, Noelia, was professional and amazing. We had the Fque wings, deviled eggs, chicken sandwich and lobster and shrimp grits (o.m.g.), and everything was delicious. The Soco Sangria was also very good. The vibe was great and surprisingly laid back for lunch. The icing on top was the extra mile for a song. We noticed the song that was playing and wanted to know the name and artist. Noelia brought it to us on a post it, another staff member stopped by our table to make sure we had it, and they played it again. It was incredible in every way. Can't wait to return.

All I can say is that the food was delicious and fresh ,portions were amazing for the price !! Music was amazing very nice vibe , the drinks were nice and strong and all the staff was very Friendly and helpful. Would certainly return the Mac and cheese was so good 😊

Love the vibe, people, music, and food. Had dinner with my cousin and sister. Waiter was attentive, however took a long time to bring out the food. I had the mac n cheese w/ fried chicken & red velvet waffle. I recommend others to try this place.

The only reason I never give this restaurant an excellent is that the waiters need re-training. The food is awesome. DO NOT skip the fried chicken with red velvet waffle and maple syrup (crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside). I had this AND the grits with lobster and shrimp - I need to have this delivered to my house in FL on a WEEKLY basis. The service is slow, but not rude so just sit back and enjoy the hippy vibe and great food and drinks.

I have eaten at Soco on numerous occasions and their food is always excellent and consistent. Their servers are always pleasant and accommodating and make great suggestions for when I want to try something different. The atmosphere is always lively and vibrant.

I came with a friend on a Saturday night around 7pm. Pros: Seated quickly NIce waitress Food came out fast had the mac and cheese- it was very good and tasty it's a MUST have.it was also enough for 2 people. Nice atmosphere and very relaxed. Cons: $$$<- slightly expensive but if you have it you should try it! tables are placed close to each other, so sometimes you have to turn to the side not to knock over the plate of someone sitting next to you when you sit down.

This little restaurant just east of downtown Brooklyn worth the search. In for dinner before the fireworks. Nice enclosed back patio garden makes the narrow location open up and gives the feel of dining alfresco. The F Que wings appetizer very good. Spicy sweet wings not vinegary. Herb flank steak with sauté collard greens was perfectly cooked. The greens still had a little crunch but not tough. The steak was cooked perfectly. Juicy tender and the chimichurri had a great flavor but not overly salted. Their butternut squash ravioli was like eating dessert for dinner. Jambalaya rounded out our table and was flavorful and filling. Didn't try the Fried Chicken and Red Velvet waffle or the baked Mac n Cheese but they looked great. Plenty of food for your dollars. Very nice find

I've had brunch here quite a few times (and a late night, last minute dinner) and the food was surprisingly good-I say this because it's hard to find good food at restaurants nowadays-those of us that are actually cooks and come from cooking families know this to be disappointingly true. The atmosphere at brunch or lunch is quiet-if the weather is permitting and you like to dine outdoors, that option is available. At night, the atmosphere can be louder-as most places are on Thurs-Sun nights. On one of my visits, they had a live musician-a violinist-that was very entertaining. I can't complain about location as I can walk to the establishment. If you do go for dinner-plan an early dinner or late dinner (a little before the kitchen closes) if you don't like crowds. All in all, the price won't hurt your pocket at all and you'll enjoy the menu.

Waited well over an hour to be seated, while there were 10 plus tables open. The amount of people waiting for tables was ridiculous. When asked about being seated the host told us she had to wait til a certain time to seat people. The pictures are of the empty tables and the long line of people waiting to be seated. Not a great business practice if you want to have repeat customers. Will not be back and will not recommend to others. Thought the food would be worth the wait but came out too salty and not hot enough. And when the bill came was told they only accept cash because their system was down. Terrible just terrible

Great food, great vibe. Food is great but very busy so make reservations. Great spot for a date or for just hanging out with friends

Really good food! Great dinner and drinks spot. Went around 11pm, great crowd and music! Friendly staff!!!

There were four of us and we all had different dishes. We had chicken and waffles, a chicken poor boy w/seasoned fries, scrimp and grits w/lobster and sides of collard greens, and orka/tomatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The serving sizes were very generous. They also had excellent service.

Our daughter recently moved to Brooklyn and we went to visit. She'd heard about Soco so we went to check it out for dinner. Our first impression was that it was WAAAY too loud, with live music in such a compact space. Thankfully they have enclosed the outdoor seating area out back (used to be a back yard) and we were able to sit out there was the music was not so overpowering. Our waiter was very attentive and prompt. My husband ordered the creole gumbo appetizer as a meal and it was enough to satisfy him. He was also happy that the andouille sausage was made of chicken, not pork. My daughter had the pork chop and was disappointed with how tough it was. She had to ask for a steak knife to cut it. I had the jambalaya and it was well seasoned and filling. I even took some home. My daughter had been told by friends to try the macaroni and cheese and I'm so glad we did (despite the price). It was absolutely the best thing we had that night, and something we would all go back for. Prices overall are high in my opinion ($17 for french toast or a fried chicken sandwich; $14 for pancakes; $6 for sides like bacon; mid-20s for many items), and I see no reason to charge $6 for cornbread. That should be free on every table if the restaurant wants to truly be "southern" or "soul" in any way. We went on a Sunday and learned that they have all-day brunch on Sundays, and therefore a more limited menu. They are closed on Monday.

This review would have been for 5 stars but the waiter forgot to put in our order of cornbread so it became our dessert. However, the taste and quality of the food and the remainder of the service more than made up for it! It's a wonderful spot to grab an upgrad3d version of soulful food

We were staying at a hotel a little under a mile from SOCO and had several options to choose from. We picked SOCO based on the awesome menu selections. We arrived on a Thursday night with 5 adults and 2 children. They quickly got a table ready for us even with the restaurant being near full. Our waitress, Crystal did a great job answering questions, etc. Our food took a little longer than I would have expected but it came out hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal! If I were in this area again, I'd definitely return!

Great place good food frieady staff, and over all a nice place. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good food

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! WASTED MONEY!! FOOD is JUST ok. My dad put in his new teeth for the pork chops to be tough... MANAGEMENT STYLE IS HORRIBLE!!!! Event Management is just confused or given the wrong information, can't call it. Communication with her is not consistent. Over all..NOT WORTH IT!! There are soooo many great restaurants in Brooklyn now to have to deal with this...

We had a very pleasant brunch at Soco. Our server (Rob) was very welcoming and appropriately attentive. The brunch menu is full of southern treats- we opted for fried chicken on a red velvet waffle, sausage grits and the Clinton omelet. Everything was prepared perfectly and served at exactly the right temperature. An order of jalepeno corn bread is a must! Prices are very reasonable- excellent value for money. This is a very popular restaurant so reservations are recommended. We will return.

Was in Bed Sty last night and decided to stop in. After a ten minute or so wait the server came over and I ordered. I ordered two appetizers the Mac-N-Cheese and wife ordered a cheese burger. After we ordered I got a text so I know it was 8:09 exactly. Now keep in mind I ordered two appetizers and my wife ordered a Cheeseburger nothing fancy. It was 9:01 when we got our food and boy was it good. I think 1 % of how good it was was due to the fact that we were so hungry but still it was great and the Mac-N-Cheese was epic....I will probably go back and try some of the other stuff on the menu and hope they work on their service.

Had multiple people recommend this as the place to brunch in Brooklyn. Went on Sunday, great drinks, cornbread and french toast! All were delicious!

Went on a Sunday night, had to move twice because the music was so loud. The food was fine, service adequate but the volume of the music ruined it for me and I spent twenty years in the music industry.

Went there for my bday. Great food. Service was great too. A party of six with each having different plates. I tasted everything everyone else had and wasn't dissappointed with any of it. The drinks could have been a bit stronger but you know how it is in NY.

I decided to stop in this southern eatery for the red velvet waffle and chicken. Made 6pm reservations but I arrived 20 mins earlier and was seated right away in the rear air conditioned patio. The crowd was light. Moderate energy. My server friendly and attentive. I must say that I wasn't impressed by the red velvet waffle. The presentation was beautiful but the taste was average. The chicken fried perfectly the pieces a bit small tasted okay. I had my appetite ready for it too. My first experience was several years ago and I remembered the lobster, shrimp and grits being small but delicious. Even the mac n cheese and collared greens were good. I guess I should have went for that instead. Looking for my next red velvet waffle and fried chicken experience. Hope it's a better one next go round

The staff here rock! Christine was my waitress. She was super attentive and very helpful. I follow SoCo on Instagram and my meal, Blackened Salmon, was so delicious! I highly recommend this Brooklyn gem! I just wish I had taken pictures before I wolfed down my meal!

The service here is very good. Friendly staff...always greeted with a smile. I recommend using open table to make a reservation, especially on the weekends as they tend to get crowded. Definitely try the red velvet waffle and chicken...heaven on earth.

I am such a lover of a diverse crowd and SOCO gives you that. Came here for dinner with the hubs after not dining here for quite sometime. First time dining in the outdoor back area which is really intimate. Decided to have the skirt steak. Absolutely tasty; one of the tastiest steaks I've had in a while. Marinated to perfection and tender...the mac n cheese makes you drool. I had a bite of the salmon which was also well done and didn't have that fishy taste that a lot of restaurants seem to overlook. Great staple in Brooklyn!

So many neat places to brunch in Brooklyn...and space inside is always an issue. SoCo makes really good food. Chicken and Waffles were good; waffle wasn't the best I've had. The shrimp and grits, mac n cheese, mussells...all very good. Only issue is space...feels tight, people bumping around near the entry way and bar area...makes you feel like you should hurry and finish and be on your way...or avoid if you don't have the time to wait or the the patience to deal with the brunch crowd. But honestly, in NYC and BK...that atmosphere is to be expected for great food. Enjoy.

I've frequented Soco on about 4 occasions and have had a decent time. On Thursday, we went to Soco for dinner and were asked to leave -first by the doorman who walked up to our table after we were seated to tell me I must remove my hat (not a wide brim hat, a cotton, open-weave fitted hat), then the manager who at first seated us, then after a conversation with the doorman, came over and told me we could not be served because I was wearing a hat. I'm female and NEVER has a restaurant had a policy that female patrons can't wear hats. We kindly took ourselves and our money to a better restaurant Marrieta's (on Grand Ave/lafayette). I wasn't going to update my review on Soco-then I thought about our sisters that are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment who have to don hats that would be turned away from Soco-in addition to our sisters who may suffer from alopecia. Soco would take away their right to dine in dignity by asking them to remove their hats or to leave the restaurant. I for one, will not patronize an establishment that discriminates. I have participated in cancer walks, donated money, volunteered at multiple cancer events & now I'll show further support by not patronizing an establishment that would not welcome those being treated for cancer or any other condition that would require a hat to be worn. Do not patronize Soco-there are better and welcoming establishments within a few blocks.

I’m very much into service as a hospitality professional. As much as I found the food to be good the staff isn’t meant to cater to parties of two. I feel if you want a better experience do not come here on a Sunday as they are catering predominantly to larger parties for brunch. The Dj had great music, the scene is cool but the host has a little bit of a tude/ disorganized and servers and bartenders are slow. What seemed to be the really nice supervisor or manager was very attentive and cared about his restaurant though which really helped me decide I would come back to give them another chance.

The food and drinks is great here! The wait with a reservation was 45minutes! Very crowded! The service we received at the table was excellent!

Very good food and service. Parking Saturday at 6.30 was pretty easy. Restaurant was half empty and was seated immediately (Had reservation). The service was very good, adequate waiter to table ratio. The food was very good. Apps: flat bread was chock full of peppers and onions (onions could have been cooked a little more). Both salads were also good. Entrees: Fried chicken was very good, lightly breaded and not greasy. Skirt steak was also good, seasoned well, very alittle spicy. Bbq chicken was also very good. Mac and cheese wa by far the best I have had. Could feed 2-3 as an app or 1 as an entre with a salad. Don't plan on dessert, there is none. They did not rush us out. When we left about 8:00 the place was packed. But not much of a wait.

Lucklily, I made a reservation, and reservations were seated first in a long line of patrons waiting for the place to open. Very attentive staff! Started with sweet teas (the peach was amazing, the hibiscus...not so much!). Ordered the 'famous' fried chicken and red velvet waffle...and wasn't really impressed. It seems like the chicken was dipped in hot sauce before it was fried, which didn't work that well for me. The waffle was decent enough. Decided against a mimosa, which I'd heard so much about, and passed on dessert as well. Cute place, great location, but I think I expected more in the food.

Amazing atmosphere and service ! Drinks were good and so was the food. We had a reservation for a later time but sat early. We came on a Tuesday night. Okra and tomato wasn't what I expected and my mussels weren't cooked a little longer liked I asked. My waiter was cute and cool but his smart remark about the mussels through me off , especially to someone like myself who has an education in food and nutrition (mind your manners next time young man lol). The wings are a must order! Other then that my grits were the bomb.com, shrimp was well seasoned despite my lobster being a little over cooked. The jambalaya was tasty and spicy! Drinks were delicious . I would definitely go back and enjoy another meal.

Good atmosphere and nice service. Spacious interior. Food is surprising with non standard combinations and seasonings. This can end up into a disappointment like the salmon that is so spicy that you cannot taste salmon anymore. The surprises with meat are better. The banana dessert was delicious. Wine is okay.

This has become a fav for brunch as I've been 4 times! I've only visited for Sunday brunch and it gets PACKED. Please make reservations, otherwise you will have a long wait! Love that they have glass enclosed patio seating. Heated in the winter and A/C in the summer. The cuisine is fusion with a southern base. Even if you order sushi, there will be a great "twist" to it. They are famous for their red velvet waffles and fried chicken, shrimp, lobster and grits, as well as the mac n' cheese. There are a lot of other great dishes on the menu, but I've only had the above and for sunday brunch, the majority of the restaurant is eating the same! The deserts are fantastic! the strawberry shortcake is made to order in a mason jar, light, fluffy with homemade whip cream, as is the brownie sunday (not traditional) is in the smallest cast iron skillet pan I've ever seen! LOVE IT! The atmosphere is electric, lively and a "cool vibe"; they even have a live DJ spinning. The drinks are creative and very good....and here is an unadvertised treat....if you check-in on yelp, you get a free drink of the day! Service is good and flexible. Even though the restaurant gets crowded and busy, the staff still has a welcoming and warm attitude. Can't go wrong with this Clinton Hill gem!

Spent the weekend in Brooklyn with friends, and left it to their 20-something daughter to find us a good restaurant. She found SOCO. We called and were told the first available opening on a Saturday night was midnight. So we went about our day and then called again at 8 pm -- were told it was unlikely we'd get in but welcome to try. So we sashayed in at 9 pm to a packed house, and were told it would be a 40-minute wait. We decided to wait -- and boy was it worth it. The vivacious bartender spent time discerning our likes and brought some great cocktails. Then a regular at the bar gave up his seat and walked us through his favorites on the menu. This soul food/comfort food restaurant has its own beat (read: Southern) so leave your watch behind and just enjoy the people and the food. Food was simply fabulous. Lobster/shrimp with grits for $26, yummy. Blackened salmon for $19 -- yes, you've had it before, but remind yourself how much you liked it. Fried chicken with a red velvet waffle for $19 -- the signature dish, great chicken, so-so waffle. Table next door was mooning over molasses-braised short ribs ($20) and herb-marinated skirt steak with collard greens & potatoes ($19). But the star of the show was a side dish of mac-and-cheese for $10. It was a VAT of mac/cheese with a great crust and ooey-gooey cheese that 4 of us picked at all night, practically licked the bowl. This is a neighborhood place that welcomes explorers. Would go back in a heartbeat. Go! Just be prepared to ignore the clock.

This place never fails me the food is always great and the drinks to. The service is good as well I love going to this place.

Food was good, music was a little loud, and my $12.00 glass of Pinot Grigio was a short pour...that's just not OK

The food and drinks were ok. Nice atmosphere. Long wait for a table with reservations but it was Mother's Day.

Soco had good sevice, great food good options food portion could be better need to eat three courses to be filled.

Good hot food with minimal wait times. Server was super nice but bartender was unfriendly. Drinks are strongbut small. Food was hot and rather spicy. DJ plays good up to beat music.

Good food, great drinks, nice mix of people, awesome for people watching. Went with two friends and sat at the bar, great, friendly service. Place gets packed on fri nites so there may be a wait.

We dined here with relatives we visited in Brooklyn. We are from Georgia and loved the southern menu with a twist. We usually don't eat this fancy at home but thoroughly enjoyed this. Very nice staff. The only glitch was we had to ask for ice with our water.

My title says it all - an amazing brunch mamaosa topped up non stop by the wonderful and i must say good looking staff they have working there. Seriously this is some good good good food i was in heaven amazing i cant fault it IF YOU IN BK I suggest you get here ASAP saturday brunching.....;)

Enjoyed a business dinner at SOCO We had the fixed price menu which included 4 courses. Cesar Salad had some kick! Choice of appetizers - I enjoyed the ribs - serving was 3 ribs. Choice of entrees - we had a bunch of different ones. I had the blackened salmon that was very good. Everyone enjoyed theirs. Ended with strawberry shortcake for dessert. The dessert was good, but was really more of a small piece of sponge cake with one sliced strawberry and some whip cream and concentrated strawberry drizzle. DInner was all very good. Service sizes were not big which made it possible to eat all of the courses. Lots of good flavor though and a nice environment with good service.

I love the location this restaurant is located, was a pretty comfortable drive to get there. the staff a neatly dressed and very friendly. There is a huge bar in case you just want to hang out and have drinks with your friends. There is also a backyard if you have a large group of people. Ok let's get to the good part "The Food" I must say, I wasn't disappointed, the chicken and waffle that was recommend to me by a friend did leave up to its expectation. Do order the Mac & Cheese its great.

We had just arrived in Brooklyn on a Thursday after a very long drive and were hungry and tired. The hotel recommended we check out the restaurants on Myrtle Avenue, so a quick cross check on TripAdvisor and Urbanspoon showed Soco to be a highly recommended choice. We arrived opn the doorstep after a 15 minute walk and were shown to a table in the centre of the reasonably busy restaurant. We were met immediately by our server and our drink orders arrived promptly, with the draught Brooklyn Brewery IPA being as good as promised. She assisted us with navigating the menu and our meals arrived 15 minutes after that. We ordered the Blackened Salmon, Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Red Velvet Waffle (!!), Molasses-braised short rib pizza and the Fresh Fried Branzino (European Sea Bass). All were terrific. Two standouts: the yam accompaniment to the salmon had great citrus overtones and the red velvet waffle was tasty and innovative. Further, the Branzino appeared as a whole deboned fish perched on top of a mild jambalaya rice (= attractive) and the white wine sangria was a wonderful herbal concoction with fresh rosemary and mint shining through. We enjoyed everything immensely. If there was something that could be done better, it was the short rib pizza crust. Although made in a tempting thinness, it was rather chewy. We consider Soco an amazing find. Great food, great service. You will not be disappointed.

We really like the food at Soco. It’s a comfort food place which is exactly what you need on a winter New York evening. The food was yummy the service was very good the drinks were not so great.
Great Food - Hostess Unprofessional
Honestly, the food and wait staff at SOCO are amazing! I haven't had a single thing there that I didn't love. Getting seated while the aloof hostess did everything but offer us a table, was almost a deal breaker. First impressions are lasting ones. Please ask your hostesses to be more customer focused. Thanks!
