Hey There SOMO - Great Draft List-Keep up the good work in that area! I came here for drinks and dinner. This is a cute place, but small area for the patrons and wait staff to maneuver around. I had to sit at the bar and that was challenging with the seating, but I made it work. I started with the New Belgium Saison Sour - great start to wet my palette - then I had the Sriracha Wings. The wings had a stingy amount of heat, but I enjoyed it - others felt it was too hot! My second round of drinks was the Bel Air Sour - delicious flavor. I decided to try the calamari - glad I did - it was tasty, but I have had better - the dipping sauce should be worked on a little bit - doesn't compliment the calamari for my tastes. I may come back to check out the brunch, but I really can see this place crowded with the "TIGHT" layout may make me uncomfortable and that wouldn't be a pleasant experience.

A nice bar/restaurant in Manyunk. Friendly staff and reasonable choice of food and beers on tap. The Conshohocken Puddlers Row was a good attempt at a British beer too, although served way too cold. Service was a little slow for a quiet afternoon but we weren't in a particular rush and food was good - great fries and nicely prepared burger. Only thing that let it down was the dreadful cover version music in the background - it's been a long time since I have heard such a wide variety of songs eviscerated...

The crabcake Benedict was served on mini English muffins. I thought that the crabcakes were missing, but they were covered by the egg yolks! They were so small and paper thin that they could not be seen. There was barely any hollandaise and no egg whites for $22.00! Even the coffee cups were tiny! Fried potatoes were used to make the plate look full. Cost cutting to the extreme.

We were passing through the area with the intention of going to a well known restaurant across the street. Fortunately, there was a private party at our intended location, so we decided to cross the street and give this place a try. Well I’m sure glad we did. The service was nice. The menu selections were very enticing. I had shrimp and grits, and lobster mac/cheese. My wife had calamari and scallops with risotto. Although she thought the calamari was slightly over cooked, and my grits could have been warmer.....the meal was overall very tasty! I want to return for the fried chicken and waffles.

My wife and I had the opportunity to stop into this newly established restaurant on Friday just after the lunch rush hour. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated at the table of our choice. The beer and menu selections include a nice variety of selections. My wife ordered the mussels which came out piping hot. My salmon was a generous serving, nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. I am looking forward to going again.

Go for the ambiance and the drinks. Food is ok. I had the cheese steak egg rolls to start which were served warm but not hot or fresh out of the fryer. Next was the tuna which was coated in sesame seeds, cooked perfectly and paired with arugula salad and sweet potatoe puree. The dish could have used soy sauce and a wasabi puree. Desert was the banana pudding which was actually two slices of bread (think french toast) topped with caramel sauce and fresh sliced bananas. I would definitely try a different food selection next time. The Drinks are good and strong. Service was quick and friendly but there is a 90 min limit on dining experience. A 20% gratuity is automatically applied. The DJ was on point playing all the top hip hop hits of the 90s and 2000s. Enjoy.

Sophil south philly awesome......great staff led by Jasper executive chef.....stopped by during the Army Navy game and was so impressed came back following week with my wife ....happy hour is great...the meatballs are just fantastic and I enjoyed the disco fries... beautiful place with great great service...close to stadium and right of the Walt Whitman bridge.....great spot before or after game or concert....

Somo is a quaint little place with a full bar. El, our server, was quite engaging and very adept at touting her favorite dishes on the menu. Oysters on the half shell, foie gras, disco fries, and the baguette pizza were great starters. Chicken sandwich and steak frittes were also top notch. It did not hurt we happened to be there @ happy hour (6:00pm - 7:00pm) and draft beer was half price. We had a very enjoyable experience and will not hesitate to return in the near future.

We stayed over night and the plan was to eat one appetizer and have a drink and check out a few places. When we saw the crowd here, we decided to book a reservation. We had one of those times where you don't want to leave as everything from the food to the waitress (Gina) was excellent. Cant wait to get back to Manayunk and SOMO!!

After a long day of walking and of an exhaustive search for a place to eat, I am glad the first place we were looking for ended up being closed because we stumbled upon this place. The server was really nice and helpful. My girlfriend had the huevos rancheros and I had the Cesar salad with grilled chicken. Both of our meals were perfect. The grilled hockey on my salad was perfectly cooked and tasted good. This place was not our first choice but it worked out perfectly!

The staff/customer service are great! The atmosphere is perfect to grab a bite or a drink and hang for a while. Shannon and John were great and made the experience even better!!! Will definitely be stopping by this spot the next time I'm in town.

Small delectable plates, full dinner, exquisite rhubarb desert, knowledgeable, friendly server, manager who personally helped us with wine pairings. In one fell swoop, this became our favorite Philly restaurant. Can't wait to come again.

Would never eat here. The woman who answers the phone might actually be the most rude person I've ever encountered, and that’s saying a lot!! Why patronize anywhere, regardless of how the food is, to only be treated terribly. If she’s a sign of how the rest of the restaurant operates, I would be smart and stay away.

This place is awesome! Service, manager and staff were excellent! We visited for our grandsons graduation and we discovered Heaven! Very much recommend this place!

Went to the south philly “sophil” location. Great place for a date . The sophil location is close to eagles stadium so an awesome spot For brunch before an eagles or Phillies game . Food , drinks and staff were all on point

New restaurant. Food was excellent. Scallops cooked perfectly. Muscles the same. Service great. Prices were not steep for quality of food. Will definitely go back

Great place to eat and the bar has interesting specialty drinks they can make. Good and the service are both first class.

Very good food. Portions are enormous. Leads to wasted food unless you are famished. Wish there was options for smaller portions. Service was VERY attentive and fast. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside and out. I had pumpkin pancakes and sausage. Both way above average. Hated that I could not finish it.

We had a great experience here. We went here with my college aged son, his girlfriend and my friend after a basketball game. They have a nice cocktail menu and even customized one of the drinks for me to make it with gin instead of vodka. It was delicious. For appetizers we shared zucchini fries, and meatballs. The meatballs were especially good. My son had the mac & cheese, two others had burgers, and I had the apple salad. We shared desserts of beignets and the cookie chocolate cake. We were really happy with all of the food and the service. It’s a nice atmosphere and a fun place. It’s not far from public parking or you can park on the street. Casual dress.

Eat here. The food here is really good and the staff are super friendly. We had shrimp and grits which was delicious - the shrimp were huge, perfectly cooked and the grits are making my mouth water as I write this. I Love this place and you will too.

My husband and I went in for brunch and were really impressed with the outdoor seating set up! We sat in a greenhouse, and it was warm and private. We both really enjoyed our food. The beignets were delicious! My only complaint is that the majority of staff, including our waitress, were not masked. We were shocked because according to the Philly mandate, they are supposed to be masked. Unless something changes, we will not be coming back.
Lovely Mother's Day Brunch
Sat at the bar for Mother's Day brunch. Lovely restaurant. Beautifully decorated with attention to every detail. I had the sweet pea burger and it was really good. My daughter had the Crab eggs Benedict and ate every bite. Really great staff too. They seemed to work together very well. I would go back again.
