It was a 5 out of 5. Sandra D was great! The food never disappoints! We all had steak with a number of sides. We were here for a graduation dinner

Service was terrible! Arrived for our reservation and was told they were running thirty minutes late. The service just got worse when we didn’t get our wine served until we were almost done our main course. The steak was awful. The mashed potatoes were liquid. Easily the worst night out I have ever had.

Had an amazing dinner with my wife. Our server Brett Bergen provided a great experience. I had the best 6oz filet served with all the signature sauces, yes we had to try them all. For those that are a fan of chocolate, don't skip out on their chocolate cake. It's haunting how ridiculously good it was. If you are going to a special occasion or simply date night, we whole heartily recommend you try STK. Ps get the old fashion!

Cameron was such an amazing server, she explained everything so well she slays💓💓 the food is also super good, best quality

A large group of my friends and I do a post-holiday dinner together every year and this year we chose STK for our dinner. We reached out for a private dining room and were set up in a perfect room to accommodate our group size. Everyone absolutely loved their dinners and the highlights of the night included the giant seafood tower, our amazing steaks and sides and the cotton candy dessert. We'll all be back for sure!

This restaurant is very modern and pretty, it has a DJ and some lounge tables. The food blahhhh, we had filet mignon and bone-in mignon with lobster Mac & cheese, so disappointed because the mignon was dry even though was medium well, the bone-in mignon supposed to be more tender because it had the bone and also ask for it medium, and never saw a drip of the juice meat. The mac’s, blahh, the ones from red lobster are way more better. If you are looking for nice, REAL good steak restaurant and ambience with your couple, this is NOT the right place to go. Too expensive for the poor type of food. Change your plans and go to Steak 48 in Wabash St.

Overall, I loved it. My steak was overcooked but still really good (I was there with a group on a tight schedule, not worth sending it back) and the brussels sprouts were amazing. Decent wine list. The doughnut dessert was also very good. Honestly I liked everything about it except that service was very slow (especially since they weren't crowded at the time) and the overcooked steak. Had I been there for a date rather than a work function I wouldn't have minded the more leisurely pace and would have sent the steak back, I'm betting it would have been perfect. Definitely worth going back.

Great food and great staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the tuna tar tar apps, sliders, and an absolutely wonderful Lobster Linguine. Shoutout our server Camryn! She was an absolute delight and took care of our every need!

Top notch service! Food was great, as always. STK is definitely a consistent place when it comes to food. We ordered the $9 lunch special burger and fries, hands down best deal in town! Valerie served us at the bar and she was exceptional! They had some fun holiday drinks, she made them for us and they were beautiful. Plus they tasted as good as they looked. Valerie was very attentive and fun to chat with. Perfect amount of things to say and left us alone when it was appropriate. Her drinks are great and she makes them quickly too! Will be back to see her.

We visited Stk last night for a company dinner, everything was absolutely wonderful and our server Angela was the best! We allowed her to choose our appetizers, sides and desserts and her choices were perfect. She was so kind and charming and all the food was delicious!

I can't think of enough words to praise the outstanding service we received from Maria at my granddaughter's 15th Birthday Celebration. OMG. She was fun, upbeat, and above all so knowledgeable of the offerings at STK. I would highly recommend the restaurant and if you can b served by Maria, then you won't be disappointed. Marie took care of our 10-person group flawlessly. Even remembering everyone's name. Now that's outstanding Customer Service. We had steaks (of course), sea bass, lamb, salmon, and pasta and all entrees were served perfectly. Not to take anything away from the sharable appetizers and side dishes of calamari, mashed potatoes, and truffle steak fries. What is a birthday without dessert, so the Birthday Girl, had cheesecake and the rest of us were too full so we took ours to go of apple pie, chocolate cookie with chocolate and caramel drizzle. Don't think that eating is just about the food. The restaurant experience is presentation and the waitstaff. Maria takes that to a hold new level. She is experienced, warm, pleasant, professional, and fun. Kudos to STK and Maria.

Stk Chicago was amazing! The music was great! Food was great! Our sever Camryn was so sweet and made my birthday even more special!

GABRIEL IS AMAZING!! 10/10 He made our evening amazing. We were 12 girls that came out of state, and he honestly was the best server ever!

Omg this place is amazing. Fred has a lot of style and Julio is the man. We chalked up another BIG night to come see the boss

Trinity is the best waitress ever! Amazing recommendations and made the entire experience a blast! Request her!

The food was phenomenal and the server couldn't have been any better. Probably one of the best steaks I have had in Chicago to date.

Went to STK for dinner on Saturday night, which is located in the River North neighborhood just north of downtown and Grant Park. We found street parking right in front, which was lucky/unusual. Upon arrival, our table was ready. We were actually surprised that it was not very crowded for a Saturday night 7:15pm; it was Lollapalooza weekend and many restaurants were booked solid. Our server Jess was excellent - attentive and very knowledgeable though relatively new. For apps, we split a brussel sprouts salad and grilled octopus. The octopus was very tasty (and I generally prefer fried calamari); the salad was fine. For entrees, my two friends opted for the 6 oz filet with peppercorn crust ($41 per). They both thought it was excellent. There are many sauces and toppings as options. I opted for the Spinalis Ribeye, which has less marbling; it was excellent (55). We had two sides: Charred broccoli (14) and truffle fries (11); there was plenty to share for 2-3 adults. We had one dessert - chocolate cake (15), that was excellent. We did not drink very much - just club sodas (4 per) and 1 Cherry Pie Rose (14). Overall, the meal and service were excellent; the entire meal was 3 people that included only 1 cocktail/wine was $300 including tax/tip, which seemed high even for fine dining though this seems to be the norm know. As an aside, the atmosphere was more like a club rather than steakhouse, which may be appealing to some. It was much busier at 9pm when we finished though there were still a few tables available (and it has a larger bar/dining room).

The place is amazing great food and fun atmosphere there is A Live Dj mixing great hits with a fun vibe. Best night out. Go check this place out. Also their Sunday brunch is amazing.

I won’t be returning to STK in Chicago. The food was good, but the extremely loud music ruins and out weighs the positives. Good steak restaurants are abundant in Chicago. There are some very good and better quality options. Three stars was propped up by the food, everything else was a one star at best.

STK Chicago, a really great experience! The atmosphere was amazing with a DJ playing good music through dinner! The food was wonderful! I had the NY Strip, and it was amazing, cut it with a fork!! Will be better when work outside the building is finished and valet better located! However, I’m hooked!!

After eating a number of steak houses in Chicago, this was the highlight. Upscale and Clubby in atmosphere, amazing food, great service – fantastic evening. Everyone in my group loved it!

Live, upbeat, modern and a great vibe. Not an old fashioned steak house. Feels much hipper and it plays great music. The decor is great and would feel at home in Miami. The service is excellent and the food is just as great. Must try it. Upbeat atmosphere is great for special occasions or just a night on the town.

Went to STK steak last night for dinner, and was quite horrified at the service and quality of food. The atmosphere was extremely loud; our table was directly below a speaker that should’ve been playing use at a club instead of a nice upscale restaurant. We spent New Year’s Eve 2019 at RPM steak and had a beautiful dinner: excellent service, excellent food, and we were able to engage in and great conversation with our guests. The manager was quite rude and in-experienced however, our server was very nice and apologetic for the managers deficiencies. For the amount of money we spent for five people on New Year’s Eve we were quite disappointed in the food, atmosphere and service. Do yourself and favor and go to RPM steak or RPM Italian.

STK is a fresh take on the already premier Chicago steakhouse scene with a wide ranging menu of standards and favorites and sides to match. The vibe is decidely 'hip and clean' and the music pumps as it should. Not your father's steakhouse, but one your father would enjoy!

I was here with about 20 coworkers for a business event and everything was spectacular! We were in a meeting room that was nicely decorated and private. The waitstaff was very attentive and the manager came in to greet us. The food was phenomenal and I couldn’t possibly eat it all. Our menu had Chilean sea bass, steak, truffle fries, Mac n cheese, and cheesecake just to name a few! Everything was delicious and I was sorry I couldn’t finish all of my food because it was so wonderful I hated to waste anything. I would definitely come back to this restaurant!

STK is like a restaurant in a club - loud club music playing with speakers every few feet, so there is no quiet place to dine, if you are looking for a quiet setting. It is not a good place to meet for business, but if you want to drink a lot and enjoy the music, then it is Ok. The food is expensive, as they charge for everything extra you get, so be careful when ordering as they love to add on but when your check comes, you get sticker-shock! That would be Ok if the food and was some of the best, but it isn't. I ordered a medium well filet mignon and it was charred. That is not medium well, that is burnt! portions are small as well. Sides are not generous, so it encourages you to order more, running up your tab. Overall, it is a very mediocre steak restaurant and in a city known for great steakhouses, it is very underwhelming. I have tried them more than once to see if the experience was unique, and it is not, the same experience - disappointing.

STK recently got added to Goodman Theatre’s Culture and Cuisine list of restaurants, so we thought we’d give it a try before our show. I was a bit bothered by the fact that the restaurant’s web page has a menu devoid of prices. Yup, it’s expensive. The real question is, “Is it worth it?” I walked into a completely empty restaurant to check-in for my reservation and was told I could not be seated until my other guest arrived: “Restaurant policy,” the host declared. I politely told the host that it was my policy not to dine at restaurants with such a policy and I decided to go elsewhere. As I was searching through Open Table to see what nearby restaurants could seat me at 6 PM, the host changed her tune and seated me. After my initial foray with the host, I found the remainder of the stay to be quite enjoyable. Our server was very cordial and extremely professional. She made some very earnest efforts to significantly upsell – suggesting bottles of $85 wines and the overpriced steak toppings. (Seriously? $10 for truffle butter on your steak?) We sampled a couple of starters including the Wagu Beef sliders and the tuna tartare. The sliders arrived medium-rare on tasty sesame seed and a mild creamy sauce. My one complaint was that the burgers tasted devoid of any seasoning, so the Wagu ground beef was bland. Our second starter was the prepared with a honey-soy sauce, sliced avocado and topped with taco chips. The dish was artfully plated and tasty, but I did think the tuna was overpowered by the soy. Not many of the entrees really did much for me, and I found the entrée choices very limited. However, I lucked out because the evening special was a lamb shank, and it was wonderful. A very meaty shank braised in a rich broth and served with wild mushrooms and potatoes. Often shanks can be extremely fatty, but this one was not. My guest fared less well with the medium size filet. The filed did arrive cooked to his liking but it was devoid of any seasoning or rub – thus, extremely bland. We tried a couple interesting sides including their Parmesan truffle French fries cleverly plated like the game Jenga. The Brussels sprouts were also quite delicious. I was too full for dessert, but several looked extremely tempting, and based on starter and entrée prices, the desserts were quite reasonable at $10. I might be tempted to return just to try the chocolate cake. Another unique addition to the meal is bread service. It consists of a batch of dinner rolls baked in a cast iron pan and served with a topping of crumbled Maytag blue cheese. The wine list is pricy but there are a few $50 - $65 bottles that are quite do-able. I love the room – stylish and dramatic. I’m showing my age, but I really could do without the DJ at 6 PM. Save him for the 9 – 10 o’clock crowd. Would I return? At this point, I really don’t know. If you are looking for trendy meets steakhouse, Maple and Ash is a much better choice, and in my humble opinion, does a much better job with steaks than STK. And before returning to STK, my choice would be Capital Grille Chicago, which does a fantastic job with steaks, offers a much more extensive menu, great wine list, stellar service, and is a much better value. At this point, the verdict is still out on STK. In any case, I’d recommend to management that host staff lose the attitude.

The experience was horrible from start to finish. We had a party of 6 and got 1 piece of bread. Asked the waiter Chris-if that is really his name, no nametag, for more bread, he told us that they had a "bread shortage". We watched them give the tables around us,with smaller parties, 3-4 pieces. We waited 30+ minutes before he came to take our orders, kept walking pass going to other tables. 2 hours later our food came out, they stood there then for awhile, took the food back to the kitchen, brought the food back 10+ minutes later, took it to another table then came to ours. Noboby ever came to let us know what was going on with our food. We had to ask other waiters for assistance or to get our waiter for us. Requested a manager SEVERAL times!!!!!! Food was cold, very well steaks were pink, gave a spoonful of onions and 4 pea size pieces of mushroom and charged $ 24 . Gave us steaks that were barely 3 oz and said they were 6oz or 8oz. Lobster was cold. Waited another hour to finally speak to the manager and to get our bill corrected(again after we had to ask two other people to get a Manager for us) in which it never was!!!!!!!! 3 hours , 3 people didn't eat, service was HORRIBLE and still charged us over 500+ dollars. Manager Danielle( if that was her name, they didn't have name tags) , but other waiters and staff did- was NOT helpful, then they served shots to EVERYONE around us but NOT our table, we pointed this out to the Manger and she said " I'm sorry,, do you want me to go get you some" we a said no, She totally tried to avoid the issue that was displayed right infront of her! Then to top it off, no compensation for our bill, over 3 hours of wasted time and had the audacity to ask if we wanted dessert!!!! We got outside and several other people were complaining about the same issues. We asked for their corporate number, she told us to call that restaurant's number and it goes to corporate, like we are just that stupid to call there! We will NEVER recommend them to anyone!!! If there were check boxes on this review: Rude, poor customer service, poor quality of food, no customer satisfaction, poor management!!! Let's see if there is a response to this review because we sure didn't have our concerns addressed by management!!!! I also email their corporate officeno response. Their response on Google was lacking any sincerity or customer satisfaction concerns.

A party of 16. Our bill was $2,357.98. RIDICULOUS!!!!!! STK steakhouse is expensive, EVERYTHING is a` la carte. The gratituty is RIDICULOUS!!! The food is OKAY!😡 I ordered the roasted chicken($40) thank GOD the vegetables that it was sauteed in,I made them my side items. My friend ordered Salmon, I think that was $44.I DIDN'T get a chance to enjoy my food the chicken was too DRY! I DON'T do the sending back to Kitchen thing. I ALWAYS request the item(s) be removed from the bill. Here.... there's NO SEPERATE CHECKS! you can ONLY have your bill split in a party of 4. Which is ludicrous. I can see seperate checks for a party of 2. Why should ANY couple be responsible for someone else's order. To each it's own, I would choose Lawry's or Tavern on Rush over STK ANY GIVEN DAY!!! TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS

I went for a business dinner expecting a great steak and sides. The steak came on a place, by itself, no garish, nothing, just the steak. We had ordered 4 sides, they were excellent. The steak was not memorable. The music was so loud, 1 member of our party left before we could order. We had asked the manager to turn the music down. We were told it was being attended to, but we didn't notice a decline in the decibel level. Our dinner was interrupted at least twice with the staff coming out with large sparklers and a correspondingly louder volume to the music. We don't know what the occasion was but all conversation had to stop. The waitstaff was good, but we had to repeat our orders as they couldn't hear us over the music. As I was a guest, I can't address the pricing except to say $70.00 plus for an unadorned steak seemed out of line.

I went to STK for Happy Hour & the staff at the bar was Great. They made good drinks and were very friendly. The food was delicious and I will be back soon

My review is that this place is fine-nothing great nothing bad but fine. My issue is that it is priced in line with some Hugh end places that are much better such as Gibson’s

I dined here with my wife and kids on Thanksgiving November 28, 2019 and Nick was our server. We heard nothing but good things about this place and being in a space full of steak houses its hard to maintain a good reputation in this city. My wife started with a caesar salad and my wife and daughter ordered the king crab for thier entrees. My son ordered the NY Strip steak with sides of corn pudding and tater tots and I ordered the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixin's. Honestly I had no idea what to expect for a Thanksgiving dinner at the steak house but let me tell you they flat out nailed it. The turkey was spot on stiffed with dressing and the mash and cranberries were excellent. While the TG dinner is not all you can eat Nick offered to bring more turkey or dressing I had with the TG dinner but I was stuffed myself like a turkey and had to turn him down. The service was great, the food was great, and it was a very nice holiday dinner. Our bill was for 4 was $354 including drinks but not tip and I have no issue paying for this quality of food.

Had dinner on Saturday night recently and food was great. Service was very accommodating. Steaks were cooked just as we requested and the best creamy mash potatoes. DJ played a great mix of music more to our liking as an older couple but could tell the younger crowd was enjoying as well. Short walk from Trump Hotel.

I would give a 0 star if such option is available. It was THE WORST experience I’ve ever had with any restaurants in Chicago. We made a reservation for 8pm and arrived on time, but didn’t get a table until 9:40pm. Every time we asked the hostess, she told us 30 more minutes. What’s the point of making a reservation if we still have to wait outside for an hour and 40 minutes? When we finally got seated, it took forever for our server to come by. We didn’t get our food until 10:55pm. I asked the server several times for my order, because I had to attend another event at 11pm. He offered to box my steak and everything at the end, so I’ll still pay for it. So I pretty much spent 3 hours at this restaurant for a carry out order. The steak tasted like rubber as well. The craziest part was our server had the guts to charge us gratuity because we had a group of 6+. I didn’t know gratuity can be enforced on carry out orders. I’ve been to STK multiple times before, but this would definitely be the last. It’s time to switch to a decent steakhouse and get my money worth. If you enjoy spending three hours for a carry out order of some dry steak, please try STK.

We visited STK on a Friday for my friend bday. We had the absolute best time ever at STK... The ambiance was amazing and the staff was excellent. The food was delicious, we ordered almost all the sides. I love the DJ he played a mix of songs... Our server Trey was the best, if you ever go ask for him, you won’t be disappointed

Great food and service. Then suddenly there were sparklers everywhere! Great job Dre, David, and Jacob. Try the filet!

I went here for my friend’s birthday on Saturday night. Here were the highlights/lowlights: 1) Service was very slow. They have a 90 min table limit, we were served our food at the 80 min mark. They did not pressure us to leave, but the moral of the story is we waited 80 min for food. I had 2 drinks in a 2.5 hour dinner. That is not because I didn’t want more, I was never asked. 2) When the food came, 2 of the 3 $60 steaks was the wrong temperature. They had to be sent back. We are talking well done for a medium. 3) The food was average. The prices are insane and you can go to literally any steakhouse and get comparable food and better service. I would recommend the watermelon drink, though. Also, ask for 2 sauces for your steak. I ordered the smallest steak, the 6 oz filet, and I got a tablespoon of chimichurri. Never got a chance to ask for more… 4) It was so loud and crowded it felt unrefined and bordered on trashy. There were people standing everywhere. The tables are super close together. The bathrooms were trashed. There was a little girl selling candy outside the bathroom. Also, the DJ was fun, but it was difficult to hear anyone at our large booth. Overall, not worth the money or time. I was impressed by nothing. Patronize a local steakhouse and support a small business.

People remember how you make them feel. Erik made our dining experience pristine. I returned to this restaurant in Chicago THREE times in two months because of his service. He didn't make us feel small when we had questions about the menu. I've been to this location with my parents, girlfriends and fiancé --- he adapts to any crowd. He knew the menu from front to back. And his recommendations were top notch. I LOVE that STK has dividers in place due to COVID. It makes the dining experience more intimate. It feels as if you are in your own private oasis. I recommend the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, the tater tots during Happy Hour and the Chilean Sea Bass.

Went for Friday night happy hour and absolutely loved the atmosphere. I can’t drink at the moment as I am expecting however the hh food menu was fantastic had truffle fries, salad and bone-in filet lollipops. Even had the bartenders make a mocktail...good times

Camryn the absolute best and cutest good for family and date night truffle fires where it’s at and drinks that she recommends

Got scammed there, paid twice for the same bill and they are not cooperating to fix the problem … the food is fine but not worth the price, the worst overpriced experience I have ever had … unrecommended at all

Steak was phenomenal! The lobster Mac is a must. Our waiter was beyond wonderful. Be prepared for the cost…but worth every penny.

Loved my first time at STK and it didn’t disappoint. The cocktails were so good!!! We each tried/shared our drinks between us and every sip I wanted more. The cucumber cocktail was hands down my favorite. We nibbled on the seared scallops and lobster tail apps. All fresh and good. It was a good night.

Service and food were great. The restaurant is top notch. Our waitress Jessica was very friendly and came many times to see if we needed anything.

The Service there is amazing, specifically Nick. He was extremely knowledgeable on the cuts of meat and what to recommend for each of us at the table (7 people). It was nice that he took time to see what we like and not just recommend the same thing or special. And the food was Amazing! Perfectly cooked and each dish was very memorable. Made the first trip to Chicago very enjoyable and memorable. Thanks Nick and STK. ( get the corn pudding)

Epic night for my nieces graduation day dinner! Over the top amazing service from Marissa! And the vine was just right! Thanks so much!

STK’s ambiance is perfect for a night out on the town but the establishment has a lot of room for growth. I was not impressed with the food, drink selection, nor the DJ, nor the price that I paid for the meal. Step it up STK!

I had such a great time tonight, Marissa was so great. Very polite and she was prompt, I will be requesting every time I dine in with STK! She made my experience even more enjoyable.

A few positives, the waitress was very nice and my partner's filet was cooked properly. Both steaks were so incredibly salty, through and through. It would have been less expensive to just serve us blocks of salt. There is no need to season a good steak, let alone bury it in salt. We both got a small cup of sauce. I asked for steak sauce thinking it might be like A1. What I got was a very dark, very tart sauce. The rolls come with herb butter. I did not like the herbed butter, so I asked for regular butter. I got ... more herbed butter. The mashed potatoes were soupy and if they were a touch more liquid could have been potage soup. Finally, there was constant loud music with an aggressive four beat rhythm in every song. The room was nice, but there was no ambiance with the very loud music.

We were a group of first time customers who will not be returning. Chaos from the moment we walked in; disorganized to say the least. The ambiance is beyond loud and the room temperature made you sweat simply by sitting in your booth. All of our steaks were overcooked and most of the sides were underwhelming. The two bottles of wine we ordered to enjoy with our steaks arrived after we had finished our meals. The price point was never justified... not in the food, the drinks or the experience. We felt as though we threw away $1000. Do yourself a favor and dine somewhere else.

Went for My husbands birthday. Brought out cold steaks and food. They fell completely short. I was excited to try and this experience was not at all what I was expecting. Had to send over half of our food back. No compensation or nothing. Order was completely screwed up. Manager came to the table could not fix the problem. Completely not my vibe. Wasn’t offered the complimentary shots that were passed out with the fireworks. Went to every table but ours. Never wished my husband a happy birthday or acknowledged after asking what we were there for. Super disappointed with the quality and problem solving skills of this restaurant. Maybe we were not the correct skin tone. That’s how it felt. Will not be returning.

My friend and I wanted a nice dinner out while in town and I looked at reviews and chose this place. We made a reservation and everyone was extremely friendly from the hostesses up front to our waiter to the sweet bathroom attendant. Our waiter Brian was excellent! He was very patient took time to answer our questions about the menu and helped us decide on the dessert which was out of this world chocolate cake. My filet was cooked maybe a little pinker than I would like but it tasted so good I let it go and savored every bite! We split the creamy potatoes-delicious! The bread with the blue cheese butter was great even though I don’t like blue cheese. It came with green chive oil which looks weird dipping bread into it but was delicious. So we topped off our meal with their award winning chocolate cake which had cotton candy as an accent and had toffee crumbles that just made the dessert even better! In short I was extremely relieved I picked this restaurant for our fancy night as it didn’t disappoint and I would definitely go back!

I went to STK during restaurant week with friends and we ordered several combinations of the three course menu they were offering! Everything was incredible and our server was so nice and friendly! Would definitely recommend.

Talk about a great experience! We have been to steak houses all over the world, this was top 2 by far! Bill was a fantastic server who loves his job! We did NOT want to leave. Food was incredible, music was an awesome mix from Bruno to Al Green...will for sure be back! 🥰 #notyourparentssteakhouse

I wish that I could write a better review for STK since the food was decent and our server Jennifer was excellent. However the overall service at the restaurant was chaotic and ruined the night. We dined at STK on 12/25/21 with a 7pm reservation for 3. When we arrived at 6:50 we could barely squeeze into the restaurant and get to the hostess stand through a sea of Uber eats delivery drivers waiting for to go orders. We finally got to the hostess who checked us in and told us to wait in the entryway to be called for our table. This is when the chaos started. They were so disorganized and seemed to prioritize Uber eats drivers over the patrons there that were waiting for a table in the dining room. After 30 minutes we go a text saying that our table was ready. We had to make our way through people arguing and fighting to get to the hostess. Once we were seated we noticed that many of the patrons were dressed in sweatpants and baggy jeans with underwear showing. Let’s observed a dress code at a restaurant where you are planning on dropping a couple hundred dollars for your dinner experience. When we left we encountered the same disorganization and chaos at the valet stand. While the food and our server were decent the overall experience was a nightmare. Take your money somewhere else.

There's a reason why they're so far down the list. The service is horrible, the atmosphere is pretty obnoxious, loud, packed, really the opposite of what you'd want in a dining experience. Our tall waiter didn't know the wines or the thickness of the steaks, and disappeared for about an hour without checking in, filling water or clearing dishes. We had to ask 3 or 4 people to get him so we could have dessert. The steak was fine, the oysters good, the cheesecake gelatine-y and the burrata too hard. I'd choose a different steakhouse.

Came in for dinner Tuesday and had an amazing experience. The lobster mac and cheese was delicious and our server Trinity was great with her recommendations. Will definitely be back!

We had the best server; Elisha she came around to the table just the right amount of times, and even hooked us up with a free dessert and a fun way to fulfill a celebration. The food was awesome and other staff was also awesome when walking around! 10/10 recommend

STK is a unique experience that mixes a trendy nightclub vibe with a sit-down dinner. The food is amazing - one of the best steaks I have ever had. Everyone in our large group enjoyed their meal and the large tables made it easy to dine together. The space is beautifully designed and has a distinctive club vibe, complete with on-site DJ that was spinning great music that made us dance in our seats the whole night! Halfway through dinner the waitstaff lit sparklers and all the lights in the restaurant pulsated to the rhythm of the beats. Everyone was out of their seats dancing for a brief moment while free shots were served to everyone in the restaurant. An excellent choice for a lively evening out, complete with excellent food and fun staff.

Double charged me and despite 3 calls in 2 weeks I’ve heard nothing back. They were nice during the call but obviously never plan to do anything about it. Either way it’s loud and crowed, the food is good but if you’re going to spend the money go somewhere with better customer service and atmosphere.

The food at this place is amazing! My wife and I both enjoyed the filet with the butter/garlic sauce. Request the server Angela, because she is the best. You can’t go wrong here if you enjoy great food. And treat yourself to the donuts for dessert.

Went there last night.!beware if you ask for separate checks. They will add items to your bill you did not order. Strongly ask to see an itemized bill before you pay. Went back to restaurant next day to rectify and was thrown out by security.

Came here for my sister‘s birthday dinner. Everything was good from the drinks to the food and Gino was the best. We definitely will be coming back for another special occasion.

Me and my boyfriend went here for our 1 year anniversary. The music was certainly a little more than just background music, but it fit the theme and scene of the restaurant. Both our steaks were cooked to perfection, our side of sprouts and potatoes were mouth watering. Worth every cent spent!

My wife and I had reservations last Saturday at 5:30 pm. When we walked in the music was so loud I thought it was a Disco bar. The hostess brought us to a table that was next to the fireplace and the only other diners in the place. I told her that we had asked for a quiet table and that could we be moved away from the fireplace as well. (It was 80 degrees outside!) The hostess moved us about 2 feet away and said there were no 'quiet tables'. I then asked her if she could have the music turned down and she said that management doesn't like the volume adjusted. When our server Taliah came up to us and welcomed us I asked if she could get the music turned down. She said she'd go ask the manager to turn it down. It did seem that at least the tempo of the music was lowered but not much. Taliah was very pleasant and attentive in taking our order and serving us. In my over 50 years of dining in fine restaurants I've been served by many but not many have shown the professionalism and attentiveness of Taliah. She is a credit to the establishment. The dining experience itself was another matter. My wife and I ordered a Baby Gem Caesar salad and a Blue Iceberg salad. The salads were huge but the iceberg salad was overwhelmed with the dressing. We also ordered the Jumbo Crab Cake and Chrispy Calamari appetizers. The crab cake was mostly filler (i.e. not much crab meat) and the calamari was mostly tentacles, over-breaded and overcooked. So overall the quality of the food given the high prices was very poor. Our bill was $131.00 before tax and tip. Not worth it in my opinion. But again, Taliah our server made the experience pleasant given the disco atmosphere and mediocrity of the food.

My hubby and I are in Chicago for business and decided we wanted a nice dinner. I used my Open Table app to find a good place and STK populated! And I'm sure glad it did. Our waiter, whose name I can't recall, was awesome. She was knowledgeable and helpful in helping me select a drink and entree. I ended up ordering a Strawberry Cobbler Martini, it was not delicious but I didn't hate it either. The bread was AHHHMAZING!!! It's the cutest little bowl of bread. It's sourdough bread brushed with a blue cheese butter. I'm not really a blue cheese fan but this was delicious. The bread also came with Matcha Oil (I think that's what it was called). It was also delicious. For the appetizer we ordered the scallops and it did not disappoint. It was fresh and cooked to perfection. I don't remember the sauce that was used but it was to die for! My hubby is on a healthy thingy so he ordered the Brussel Sprout Salad. I had a bite and it was ok. He enjoyed it a lot. I ordered the Filet Medallion, cooked medium, (I was so excited to eat it I forget to snap a pic) with Truffle Butter and Bernaise Sauce. Again, cooked to perfection. The filet is my favorite cut and this is the second best steak I've eaten. It melted in your mouth but it was also a little charred so every bite had a slight crunch (for lack of a better word) to it. So delicious. Dessert almost didn't happen because we were satisfied. Not stuffed. We figured, why not? We decided to go a different route today. Usually we always roll with anything chocolate (I'm a sucka for some chocolate) but the #thecloud caught my attention. It had vanilla pound cake, strawberry ice cream, topped with a cloud of pink cotton candy! I felt like a child ordering this because it definitely has "kid" written all over it, lol. It was pretty delicious. I was pleasantly surprised it was so good. 100% recommend visiting this restaurant if you ever make it to Chicago! Sorry my pics suck.....I was way too excited to eat and totally forgot about taking pics of anything else.

Spectacular! On point! Well worth it! Impeccable! Beautiful experience! Oh and the food was above expectation! Kevin...great job!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is so sophisticated! I sat at the bar to celebrate my birthday during their happy hour and the food and drinks were great. Olivia and Dan were the bartenders and really made my evening great by making special (and delicious) drinks and lighting sparklers. The happy hour menu itself offered a great value for the options offered. Thanks STK!

We had traveled to Chicago this past weekend on one of those "Mystery Trips" organized by "Pack Up + Go" and decided to visit STK Chicago on Saturday night by opening up Open Table and searching steak houses. Thank goodness this place came up! When we walked into the building, the atmosphere was very "hip" and exciting. There was a DJ as soon as you walked in and everyone seemed to be having a fantastic time already. We were seated quickly for our 7:30pm reservations and started to look over the menu. All three of us were pretty tired - we had traveled all morning and then walked around our "mystery destination" all afternoon in the rain - but we were excited to have a good meal. We must have looked as tired as we felt because, before we knew it, a man in a white chef coat sauntered up to our table and started chatting us up. Andrew, the new executive chef of STK Chicago, decided we needed to "wake up" and decided to bring over appetizers and chef selections all the while entertaining us with his friendly banter! First, we did "caviar bumps" with Andrew and followed them with a shot of some "bubbly." For someone who has never tried caviar before, I was a bit nervous but it was absolutely incredible! Very tasty and, more importantly, very fun! Next, Andrew brought over the "Crispy Rock Shrimp with chili remoulade" appetizer which was great. I'm not a huge fan of shrimp but my dinner companions were and they raved about it! I will say the chili remoulade was excellent. While we were trying the shrimp appetizer, house bread and dip was brought out. I know it's weird to rave about the bread/dip but this was incredible! The dip was a mixture of chives and olive oil and surprisingly had a very complex flavor. It's something I am definitely making at home! Our steak entrees came not too long after the appetizer. Each was seared beautifully and cooked to perfection. I added truffle butter to my steak and it was exceptional. Andrew came over to check on us again and chatted while we ate. He even offered to try to get us tickets to a boat tour in the morning! Lastly, Andrew brought over desert to not only celebrate our mystery trip but to also celebrate my birthday. A huge blob (for lack of a better term) of cotton candy was lit on fire table side to reveal ice cream and cake within. Andrew also had us try his favorite port wine which mixed perfectly with the desert. We honestly didn't want to leave but knew there were many people waiting for a table. The atmosphere, food, and (most importantly) personality of the head chef would absolutely be a huge motivating factor in visiting Chicago again. It was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had!

A friend and I ate there yesterday. We both had the 10oz fillet, shared 2 sides and had a glass of red each. The total bill came to over 225 dollars. The steak was good (not brilliant), service was ok, the place wasn’t very busy (20% full). The mash was basic mash. The side sauce was bland. I’ve been to wildfire before a couple of times and much preferred it. Won’t be going back.

Our waitress Elizabeth was awesome! She asked us our names, shook our hands and used our names every time she addressed us. She stopped by the table often. She got me spot -on as a woman who likes old fashions. Food was ok. I had the rib eye which was cooked just fine but was very tough. Wil had the sea bass which again was cooked well but the sauce was too strong. Overall a good experience- but they need to improve the food to survive in this competitive area of the city.

My spouse and I first met 5 years ago nearly to the date at STK so we wanted to celebrate the milestone on a Friday evening. The food was great, the staff was really kind and seemed to work hard, but we did not enjoy the meal at all because they had a timer card on our table. Hard 90 min and we're out of there. Had to order appetizers and entrees all together so they could bring them out in quick succession and hurry us out. They claim it's COVID related but no other restaurant I know in the area is doing this, especially not one charging this much. This is possibly the most expensive meal we have ever eaten, and we knew it would be, but that timing card on the table and rushed feeling was a very unfortunate way to spend a pile of money. They just needed to turn our table over faster. Will not come back here sadly.

We had reservations. We arrived 30 minutes early and were told it would be 20 Minutes. Waited for over 80 minutes with no update. We left and will never come back. No steak house is worth the poor service when there are other options around. Go elsewhere.

Visited STK during restaurant week. Service was good, food was good. I had the NY strip it was flavorful and juicy. Tried two sauces and the Tangy sauce wasn’t very tangy. In fact A1 sauce has more tang but had a good taste. Decor was nice but the vibe was weird. They had a DJ playing club songs. Didn’t go with the decor. I would recommend it and would go back for the food and service. Prices are comparable to other Chicago steakhouses.

Long wait… lack of service…ordered Restaurant week menu… instead of burrata they served us mozzarella (big difference, big mistake) I would have preferred they telling me “we are out of burrata”… Lots of add ons on the menu … I don’t think they should offer a Restaurant week menu if you end up paying almost regular prices for the dishes. The meat didn’t come medium rare but rare and when they cooked it more it came back super dry. It is supposed to be a steak house. Maybe it should be a night club instead of a restaurant… loud club music and ambiance … perfect for drink and dancing not for dinners.

Great vibes. Good food. Service was amazing. Elisha was our server - great service, good recommendations, fun and friendly. Good dinner spot with friends!

Very classy place with delicious food and impeccable service. We saw a sign carrier over the State street bridge advertising the Wagu Beef burger for $9.99! And they delivered a very delicious burger and fries for an incredible price.

Atmosphere is a little over the top. If you've been to the meat packing district in NY and eaten at STK, this place is just one level below that as far as atmosphere and food. Steak was outstanding, as well as the sides. As you would expect. Brussel sprouts are a must.

What can I say. It was delicious and worth the splurge. Trinity was our server who did a great job throughout out extended meal. Substantial appies, mains and sides. Sadly, not room for dessert. DJ played great music to chew and chat to. Will be dreaming of my meal for days.

After dinner ordered 3 shots at the bar, a tequila brand komos. The bartender brought the shots with the bill of $204 for 3 shots. He then never came back to our side, so 10 min later I asked the female bartender why it cost so no much for 3 shots, she said because each shot is $35 but since they pour a little more, closer to 2oz they charged for a double shot! I spoke to manager after, because we didn’t ask for double shots. He said she didn’t know what she was talking about, that a single shot was 69$. I could of almost bought 2 bottles for the price of 3 shots! Be aware and ask how much these shots are, make sure your not being over charged for pouring more!

The atmosphere was great! It was a Saturday night and they had sparklers and the music was bumping. Then it was time to order... the waiter had a weird disposition, strike one. The music was way too loud so we couldn't hear her, she couldn't hear and it was annoying after a while, strike two. The third and final strike was that the food wasn't even good. It wasn't seasoned properly and the potatoes weren't cooked thoroughly. I don't mind spending money for a dinner, this isn't my first time at the rodeo but if I'm spending a generous amount at least make it good. It's sad when you are trying to eat your food and everyone at the table says, "so where are we going to eat when we leave here?"

I have been more than a handful of times to this location and tonight I saw many issues. The host was terrible, he sat us at a table that was not fully dry from a puddle. He dropped our menus three times and the table itself was not properly set up. The clientele seems to have also downgraded with many people acting rudely beside our table. I feel bad for our great server Sandra who had to deal with an awful couple. The food was great but a manager was nowhere to be found. The whole restaurant seemed unorganized. The food is not worth the price especially when there are many other classier options in the area.

We decided to treat ourselves to a fantastic steak dinner at Stk Steakhouse on Tuesday night. Brett Bergen was our fantastic server who saved the day by suggesting the truffle butter with the steak. It was the perfect complement. Funny thing is: The corn pudding was my favorite thing. It is the small things that make my stomach say yum.

Amazing restaurant really enjoyed the great atmosphere. Food is superb and very good service. Try the deserts superb! Enjoy

Thrilled to be able to come and get dinner at 10 pm, everywhere else was closed. No bread, filet was well well done not med, here for special b'day but waiter forgot to bring shots and sparklers like all the other tables for, after plates cleared took 30 min for bill, 20 min to retrieve bill w payment and another 20 min to get card back. Morton's next time, thank u very much

Just left here and the vibe and setting was amazing. Our server Kyle was very inviting and helpful. Will definitely return again.

Our waitress would go missing for 20-25 min at a time. When I asked her about specials she rattled them all off in one long run on sentence in a monotone voice. She had no personality and clearly did not want to be there.

I had an amazing time at STK this weekend for a girls night out! Erik was our server and was so much fun and provided us with great customer service. He suggested great drinks and he really added to our overall experience. I suggest requesting him if you attend STK Chicago!

I went with friends 2 weekends in a row because I enjoyed the experience so much. Their featured steak, the Ribeye Cap is delicious! It is more tender than the filet and explodes with flavor! Most of us had the Ribeye Cap, but some guests had the Sea Bass, also good. The yukon mashed potatoes are delicious, the tater tots were awesome and the deserts were really good. We also had the grilled octopus, Tuna Tartar, foraged mushrooms, parmesan truffle fries, and for desert we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding, STK Donuts, The Cloud and the Ice Stk! All delicious and will bring me back again! The music can be a little loud later in the evening with the live DJ, but a fun experience overall! If you are looking for a lively and energetic experience with great food, this is a great choice!

Food was amazing. The lamb chops were so tender. Great sides. Our waitress Sandra was GREAT and so kind to take a picture for us.

Great food, good music on a Friday night, and Trinity made our dining experience fabulous. I called in a birthday request in advance and it was passed along to Trinity who got it right.

ERIK is the greatest of all time. I will be back and its a must I sit in his section. His knowledge of the menu was amazing and he was able to make suggestions throughout the course of the night. The drinks, the apps, the entree, and even the dessert were amazing. We will def be back soon.

Extremely disappointing! After having dined at a number of STK restaurants we decided to forego our regular RPM Steak and try here. Won’t make that mistake again. After being reminded multiple times & a large note on our table when we sat that our dining time was 90mins and table had to be available by a certain time - it was not a great start when it took over 20mins for our server’s 1st visit to the table (note we had an early reservation, the restaurant was only 50% full so not exactly peak or busy). From there everything felt rushed. Worse yet the food. We ordered the Seafood Ceviche ($23) & Burrata. The burrata was okay, nothing spectacular but the ceviche was almost inedible - slightly warm, lacking freshness/taste, and definitely not worth $23. We were only half way through our starters when the servers appeared and began clearing the table to make room for the entrees. I’d ordered the Delmonico (medium rare) and my girlfriend the small Filet, sides of brussel sprouts and parmesan crusted mashed potatoes. It was obvious my steak had not been rested after cooking as there was an amount of juice on the plate (a few mins late the steak could have done backstroke in the juice). Cutting in to the steak it was obvious why no resting as it had been cooked med well vs med rare. When paying $84 for a steak one would expect it to be high quality and cooked as requested. The Brussel sprouts weren’t anything special and the best part of the meal were the Mashed Potatoes. Not one but 2 managers came by, looked at the table and food, and walked on. I’d have thought it would have been easy to see the steak swimming on the plate and that something was wrong but that was not the case. For a dinner where we paid over $300 (only 1 drink included) it was most definitely not worth the price and will not be dining here again. Note: I did write to the restaurant to bring their attention to all of the above - a week later and still no response. If I could give a zero I would

Great atmosphere! Amazing food! Our waiter, Bill, was awesome!! There’s a live DJ playing great music! I highly recommend this restaurant!

I am not exaggerating when I say my family and I loved everything about this place. The food was fantastic, the ambiance was cool, fun and nice and the staff was just as great. It is an expensive restaurant but it is well worth it if you love steaks and other good food.

This was my first time trying the happy hour at STK and I can definitely say 10/10 highly recommended. I sat at the bar and both Eva & Olivia assisted me. They were very attentive and responded very quickly when I wanted to order additional items. My fav options on the happy hour menu so far are the short rib quesadillas, oysters on half shell and the spiced watermelon martini!

I want to preface the following review by stating my group goes out for fine dining in Chicago at least 5-times per week. This was the worst dining experience at a high-end restaurant I have ever had. Management is totally at fault here. There is completely NO DRESS CODE at STK! Hey management, have you ever been to Steak 48? If not, have a look. I know it was Christmas night, and there were, Covid issues, etc., but management caused this problem. They overbooked the restaurant and had takeout orders they could not manage. I would rather have received a call/text notifying me they were short-staffed rather than suffering through the experience we endured. It all comes down to the greedy management team taking advantage of innocent customers or, should I say, "never to return customers". The entrance/host stand area was a complete madhouse. The stress level for staff and guests was completely through the roof. Again, all caused by management not sectioning in-house diners from delivery drivers. We felt sorry for the host and the staff. Delivery drivers were treated as if they were diners and diners were treated as if they were delivery drivers. Everyone was mixed together. Completely no organization at all. There was a major issue we noticed while waiting for our table. Staff was bringing out several bags of to-go orders at one time, placing them on the dirty floor next to the host stand. The bags sat on the floor long enough for us to be revolted about the situation.

The food was AMAZING! We had awesome service from Claire and Daniel. Will definitely come back, I highly recommend!

We visited STK River North in Chicago in August 2023. It was a good dinner but noticed a few days later I was charged a second bill of a different amount from the same night, appeared to be someone else's bill. The restaurant didn't return my calls for a few weeks so I eventually disputed this second charge via my credit card company. Long story short, STK management refused to work with my credit card company after initial contact and over the ensuing four month battle. I was dismayed over how STK treated me as a customer during this dispute process even though I paid for a legitimate meal that night and clearly did not have an entire second separate bill. I will never visit an STK again knowing the fraud that took place, their refusal to acknowledge the theft by an employee, and extremely poor customer service to rectify the situation for a paying customer.

Patrick made our anniversary dinner extraordinary. Great restaurant. The food was delicious. The special anniversary celebration was awesome.

Very first visit truly enjoyed the food and the service the atmosphere and my favorite part of the night was my cherry cobbler Martin excellent restaurant !!!

Came in town for a visit with my daughter and she took me here for a special dinner. I absolutely love the vibe of this restaurant and the live DJ. My favorite restaurant is Ruth Chris or Morton’s but I believe STK has now moved into the top spot. Yes, it’s expensive but aren’t all things that are the best worth it? Started with the blue iceberg wedge salad, went onto the burrata with beet salad. Had the 6 ounce filet, which is really tiny, with béarnaise sauce. Paired well with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Top it all off with chocolate cake with ganache sauce. Wonderful night!!

Walked into a restaurant with a DJ and full Happy Hour bar. Nice ambiance while we had a few drinks waiting on all to arrive. Service at the bar was great. There were seven of us so we ordered the seafood tower which was heavenly. Most of us had the Ribeye Cap which was so tender. We had a variety of sides i.e. yukon mashed potatoes, sweet corn pudding and Brussel Sprouts which were all awesome. The service and waiters were all fantastic. Oops.. forgot to mention the wine they recommend was fantastic!

If your searching for a place that is more nightclub than fine dining Steakhouse, this is the place. A place with a DJ but no dance floor, very large bar and sometimes too loud music. While the staff is attentive and cordial they lack professional seasoning. Of the 10 steaks that are being offered only the Dry Aged are Prime (4), the others are choice. Sides are forgettable and not very imaginative. When dinner arrived it was a total of 5 plates all too hot to actually touch, which we found out the hard way. If this is your scene and obviously for many it is, Go. For the rest of us, we know where to go for STEAK, this is Chicago!!

My husband and I came here for dinner and had an amazing time and meal. We did the chefs tasting menu and Chef Andrew didn’t disappoint! Every single thing he brought out was delicious and a work of art. We couldn’t stop raving about his place to everyone we met here in Chicago. This is a must visit when coming to Chicago!! They have a DJ every night which makes this steakhouse super fun. Make sure to get the tomahawk steak and the cotton candy dessert. You won’t be disappointed! Our waitress Trinity was amazing, very attentive and made our experience there.

Not a bad steak, but asked for a glass of Cab Sauvignon. Offered Caymus so went along with the offer. Shocked to find it was $55 a glass when I got the check. No price quoted when I ordered, despite the fact that Bonanza Caymus is only $16. Feeling badly ripped off. The wine was ok, but def not worth the money. Go elsewhere.

Scored a last minute reservation while in town for business. Trinity and Lori were fantastic servers! We were so impressed that we recommended STK to some coworkers who brought a large group in for dinner the following evening! To not hesitate to visit STK while in Chicago... you will not be disappointed!

Our family wanted to try a new steakhouse in Chicago on this visit and this was different. Our server to start with was not exceptional at his job not very attentive or overly friendly It was crazy but they had a DJ during dinner greatfully playing old disco music but different. The food was good but no ranch dressing for salads Glad we tried but not a big hit

Main courses looked great but we stopped by for dessert. Took awhile to bake but was worth it. Very rich and flavorful.

Visited with my son, place is amazing, clean and trendy! We both ordered, myself steak my son steak and prawns. Meals arrived but my sons was lobster, we explained and the waiter walked off leaving the meal in the table. My son wasn’t sure what to do so ate the steak, but sat waiting for prawns for a long time, I had finished and sides had gone cold. In fairness after speaking to the manger he removed the charge for his meal from the bill. Just a little disappointed really. Hope to have a better experience next time!

The food is and was definitely worth EVERY dollar spent. The 6oz sirloin was tender amd cooked to perfection! The lobster was succulent amd cooked perfectly! My goodness the ambiance was great. My night in Chicago was everything ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️. Raoul was an EXCELLENT waiter!!!! Jessica the Chef FANTASTIC job 💗 💗💗

The food is awful, too much oil, it sticks to your mouth, it’s too noice, not a very good service and the people are rude. Too dark

My fiancee took me to STK last night to celebrate our engagement and I thought the food tasted good, but was a bit expensive for what we got. In comparison to other steakhouses, this was not as high end for the money we spent. I was a bit disappointed when I saw all other tables around us receiving special treatment for their birthday celebrations, but we were not included. The restaurant was fully aware of our celebration too... Not a steakhouse I would go back to.

Bill was great and able to explain the food and even different kinds of oysters they had based on the coast they came from and EVERYTHING was delicious!!! Cocktails were tasty, the bread for the table was unbelievably good, seafood was awesome, steak was to die for and the Brussels sprouts could not have been better. Will return!!!! There was a dj playing club music and the decor is stylish. We went for dinner so lunch may be different.

I was unimpressed with every aspect of this restaurant. The vibe was a trying too hard to be a nightclub kind of place, and the service was awful. We had 8:15 reservations and didn't eat before 10 (we tried to order for at least 45 min) and then the food was only ok. Very very underwhelmed.

First time here and just live this place!! They have a dj and he can bring it!! The food and service are amazing!!

It was my daughter-in-law‘s birthday and we’ve had several great experiences at Orlando at STK. Our evening started off fine our waitress was very good and thanks Darren and off on and I thought them read the rest of the evening it will be just as good but to my surprise. Once they get crowded our server cannot be found in our drinks and appetizers came very late. I ordered the double ribeye steak which I thought was a hold coat wrong but never had the chance to tell my server bridge I couldn’t find her. Finally she came and never asked any of us if our meals were correct and Chase was proper. This place I will never do I will never go back. They are super crowded in sure that they needed more help to handle the crowd. This is a place that I don’t recommend there’s so many other great restaurants downtown that you go to Tortosie Supper club right around the corner.

A nice atmosphere however very loud due to DJ. Difficult to hear dinner companions especially if it's a business meal. Food was very good although service was a bit slow.

Food and service was excellent at thisSTK location. We took a small group of 5 people for a business dinner. It was so loud from music blasting thru out the place, we could not even talk. We did ask our server to lower the volume and she did, but still beyond anything enjoyable.

We get there, and the waiter has us order everything at once, which is strange considering you normally order your drinks first, but we didn't think anything of it. Literally, 5 minutes later, our main entrees arrive. I'm not exaggerating. I ordered a steak, and I know it takes longer than five minutes to cook a steak, which led me to believe that the food was pre-cooked before we got there. When I tasted my steak, I was right. The food tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave and then presented to us. Additionally, we ordered an appetizer that we never got. The staff were hovering over us, making us feel as if they wanted us to rush through our meal. We were only there for about 30 minutes. The whole point of dining out is to enjoy the experience. If I wanted fast food, I'd go to a fast food restaurant. This place is way over priced for the rushed food and rushed service. We won't be returning.

The food was very good. We both had steaks, split a caeser salad and had two orders of mashed potatoes (one was not enough). The potatoes were very tasty — particularly the “everything” potatoes which had chives and bacon. Howver, maybe just a little too smooth, not that I want lumps in my potatoes but I would have preferred to atleast have to chew it — a little. The steaks were prepared as ordered (medium rare) and the caesar was very good. We chose a pinot noir by the glass and it was not only very good but reasonably priced for a decent sized pour. Our server was great, ery friendly, informative and attentive. I recommend the restaurant but the one negative was the party atmosphere. It was not just loud but screaming loud. Yes, there is a bar but it is not the entire restauant and, yet, that is how it sounded and felt. Remember when you turned 21 and could not wait to go out and drink legally and let everyone around know that you could drink legally, and drink as much as you possibly could. Well that is the atmosphere here. Which was odd as the other patrons looked to be primarily in their 30s and newly legal. Outside of the noise level, go, as the meal itself was enjoyable. Bonus! We found metered parking directly in front of the restaurant.

Went here to celebrate my brother’s birthday customer service was poor, the waiter ask if we could order across from each other because it was easier for him , ordered sea bass for 60$ it was the size of a bar of soap came with nothing, never got a birthday candle or anything , valet was at another restaurant had to walk to it in order to get valet . This place is over rated and very expensive with poor customer service and they don’t care because there gratuity is already included. Would not recommend to anyone ever , there are much better places to go. Don’t waste your time or money here terrible.

We came for our new years diner. We were seated at a table with a paper tablecloth and what seemed like cheap chairs, which did not go well with the 100$ steaks on the menu. We ordered one drink and left : there are so many better places for a lot less money ( like the purple pig two blocks away which is 10x better and 3x less expensive ).

More than two hours Waiting time with customers you have invited for business trips does not make the evening a pleasant event. The high price/performance ratio is out of proportion to the Mood with very loud disco music. The steak was good in taste but unfortunately served lukewarm. In a restaurant with this price level you also expect a glass with the beer and not that you have to drink from the bottle. If you like loud music and overpriced food with a long Waiting time, you are in good hands here.

Mark Darress, bartender, provided really good service. Friendly personality and treated us like our business was important.

The best cuts of meat I have ever tried, excellent service, thank you very much to the waiter Héctor Salas for his attention and excellent services!!!! Congratulations

We had a terrific dinner here prior to attending the Bulls game. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Our server, Clare, was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. We challenged her to make us a custom drink- which she did flawlessly. The support team was really good as well. I didn't get the name of the guy refilling our water, but I swear he was there refilling after each sip. Amazing.

So, my husband, son and I visited this restaurant for brunch. First off, the hostess Erica was absolutely AMAZING! She was professional, accommodating, personable and super personable! Sometimes at restaurants you receive the bare minimum service, but Erica was absolutely exceptional. Give that great employee a raise and promotion! All of the food was simply amazing. The lobster Mac and cheese is now a must have anytime I visit! The staff made the experience extremely enjoyable. Will for sure be joining for another visit!

Had an excellent dinner. Place is a little flashy - so if this is what you’re after it’s fun. Seemed like every other table was getting a round of drinks with a sparkler chaser.

Excellent food in a club atmosphere. Went with some business colleagues for a 8pm dinner on a Monday night. The atmosphere was a bit cold for me, but the food delivered. Had the tuna tartar and beef tartar to share, followed by the 10oz steak, spinach, tots, and jalapeño tots. I can do without the club scene to be honest and the 80’s retro music which made it a challenge to hear. Not for me, but great food. Service did not disappoint.

My food was good. Everyone else thought theirs was just ok. Place was very loud. I probably would not go back since there is so many great options in Chicago.

The food and atmosphere were amazing, but what will keep me coming back for more is the service! My waitress, Trinity, and waiter, Chris, made my dining experience all the more enjoyable! Request them if you go!

We had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful hip restaurant. The ambiance was very trendy and elegant with it's black and white enterioir. A very modern setting and the dim light made the experience superb. The food was beyond my expectations. The steak was so soft that the knives cut through it like butter. The sour dough appetizer was a magical experience. The lil brg appetizer was among one of my favorite appetizers too. For our main course we had the opportunity to enjoy a mouth water, moist cod. The mashed potatos were an out of this world experience. For dessert we recommend you try the chocolate cake. This experience would not have been the same if it wasn't for our amazing server Brett Bergen. His hospitality was very kind and very knowledgeable. Lastly thank you to the manager Neil who took the to come visit our table and make sure we were taken care of. Thank you, we will be back!

We brought in several Colleagues for an important business conference and chose to begin the week with dinner at STK Chicago. It was like hitting a grand slam. One of the guests asked Elizabeth, our outstanding server, what she would order if this would be the only time he'd ever be at her restaurant. Her recommendations were spot on and outstanding. She had checked on allergies and at every course pointed out to our friend with the gluten addiction what she could eat and which courses she should avoid. She also accommodated our non-pork desires. She was prompt with service without being intrusive and added a nice touch to the entire evening. While I'm not a big brussel sprout fan these were delicious. The stuffed tater tots were sinful and my wife loved the tuna tartar. The steaks were large (I ordered the Medium size and it was more than a meal) and well done. While I could have done with a touch less peppercorn coating, this was nit-picking. The meat was delicious. While we rarely order dessert, Scott Marcus, the manager was present, helpful and entertaining. He coaxed us into the sweet potato donuts and a special preparation of chocolate chip cookie, ice cream sandwich treat from the pastry chef. It was a sweet treat ending to a wonderful evening. I wanted this to be a good experience for our out of town guests and they were thrilled. Kudos to all at STK Chicago.

I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant in Las Vegas at the Cosmopolitan hotel and we had this extraordinary experience, but this time in Chicago it was not the best experience. The cuts were dry and tough, the shots weren't nice either. The experience was a bit disappointing

The ambiance’s of the restaurant was great, nice vibe, good music, amazing service particular from our server Thomas. He recommended some really great dishes and made our anniversary dinner so special.

Horrible !!! We booked for 8 p.m. After 15 minutes of waiting we were told there would still be at least 30 minutes of waiting. The staff is horrible. In short, flee!!!

They have tables and heaters outside. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. Delicious food! The wine list is limited right now but we still enjoyed a nice merlot.

STK Steakhouse has made its mark in Chicago. Located at 9 West Kinzie Street in Chicago's River North neighborhood, east of State Street, within walking distance of the Chicago River and Magnificent Mile, it is a swanky and hip steakhouse with a nightclub vibe featuring high-end beef and seafood. It is an international chain with locations in 10 other cities in this country, including New York City, Las Vegas, Denver, Miami, Atlanta, Orlando and Los Angeles, and such overseas locations as San Juan, London, Mexico City, Milan, Dubai, Ibiza and Los Cabos. Open from 3 to 11 Monday through Thursday, 3 to midnight on Friday, 11 to midnight on Saturday and 11 to 11 on Sunday, STK's Chicago address is posh in every sense of the word. With food to match. My wife and I started with a baby gem Caesar salad with parmigiano reggiono, lemon black pepper and herb croutons. For an entree, she ordered maple rubbed salmon with cherry tomatoes, broccoli and olive dressing with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with parmesan crust and cream spinach. I gave four stars to the 14-ounce New York strip steak with bearnaise sauce and shrimp, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with parmesan crust and sweet corn pudding. The miso glazed Chilean sea bass drew raves from an adjoining table. For dessert, we shared apple pie with cinnamon crumble and maple creme fraiche and cheesecake with raspberry coulis and fresh berries. We'll be sure to add STK to our list of go-to restaurants on future travels.

Emily was an excellent experience! Have an amazing time with my significant other. Great service, highly recommend for any special event!

The steak I ate was phenomenal and delicious. I will definitely invite friends and suggest to my colleagues at work.

Good quality on food and drink. Service was ok with a few things to improve. Very high music level. I like some background music, but this was more like a nightclub. Expensive.

We went here at the end of our first evening in Chicago. The barman was very good and knew his stuff. My husband wanted to try a bourbon and he gave him three samples to try. I had a very interesting cocktail - there was a good choice. A nice ambience in here, though not many people by the time we got there!

I wanted to take the time to write a review for my experience at STK. My host was Erik and he took care of us SO well!! The food and drinks were amazing too!!

Me and my friends went to STK for their Dare to Brunch. It was 10 of us. We came in, got mimosas and out table was ready in 2 minutes. We ordered crab and avocado omeletes that were amazing, we also got caviar and that was delicius. One of my friends wanted customized omelet just with egg whites, with no cheese and mushrooms and he got it. He was very satisfied. We ordred steak and egg which was so good we couldn't stop eating and the potatoes that comes with it are the bomb. We also got short rib which was melting in the mouth and boujee french toasts and we didn't leave a piece. Also if you go, get their doughnuts, they are so good. Music and atmophere were exactly what we were looking for. Our champagne glasses were never empty and staff was really nice and knowleageble. Definitely not a boring brunch. We can't wait for next one. We also get dinner here all the time and never regretting it.

Great food in a cool atmosphere. Elisha provided great service to our table. There was a large selection of different drinks to choose from, and a varied selection of food to pick.

Stopped in here on St. Paddy’s Day and will definitely make this an annual stop! Great drinks, apps and staff!! The bartender Tanner was great and made amazing drinks!!! It was so busy but I didn’t have to wait at all for my drinks. David also took good care of us! I will definitely be back here soon!

We were hoping for an awesome experience, and instead, we’re disappointed at the quality of the food we had. I had the 10 ounce fillet which was $78 and you could actually taste the char from the grill top they had not been cleaned. My wife ordered the 6 ounce fillet medium. It came out rare to medium rare so she hardly ate her dinner. It was late or else we would’ve sent it back but we were tired and just wanted to get back to our room. Our teen teenage daughter had the skirt steak and she said hers was fantastic. So this place got one out of three meals, correct. They bring you out a little loaf of bread before with a sauce on top. I highly recommend ordering that without the sauce. It was literally like cream of mushroom soup. It was disgusting. The bread was OK but the sauce was absolute gross. We dropped over $400 for dinner for three and my wife and I did not order drinks other than one glass of red wine so I was a little disappointed at how much money I spent for what I got in return. Will probably not go back.

*Absolutely stunning restaurant with breathtaking decor—so photogenic! The high ceilings and elegant ambiance make it a perfect spot for memorable photos. The hostess was professional and welcoming, and we received a great table immediately.** **We started with their Spiced Watermelon Margarita and Unchained Passion—both were beautifully crafted and incredibly delicious. For our meal, we ordered the gem salad, shrimp, steak, and fish—all served perfectly and tasting fantastic.** **Although the service was a bit slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy—possibly due to staffing shortages—it didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment.** **I highly recommend this place for its stunning atmosphere and delicious food. I’ll definitely be returning!**

Enjoyed a night out with friends and amazing food! Our server Bria was absolutely amazing and made us feel welcome and at home! Amazing food, fun music, beautiful ambiance! 10/10 recommend visiting!

It’s a vibe! Music was great and playing throughout the night. Elisha was a terrific server and on top of every detail for us - make sure you request her. Steak was cooked perfectly with a delicious truffle butter. Great for large groups. We’ll be back

The food was phenomenal!!!!! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was nice even though there were a lot of people there.

Well, it is good certainly, in terms of both food and atmosphere. However, the service is not polished, and it is way overpriced and over hyped. In other words, the value is a bit dubious. Well curated wine list, and quite good (and small) wagyu steak. Well, I don't expect wagyu that is less than excellent, of course. Nice bread too, and generally pleasant atmosphere, with slightly over the top feel. However, very average and way overpriced NY Strip. Once again, not bad at all, but there are so many other and better steakhouses in Chicago.

Venue is really cool, but the music was really loud, making conversations with our group very difficult. Destiny, the waitress was very attentive, but she was really rushing me when I was trying to make a drink selection after we sat down. Very pushy, so I decided not to order anything. She was very good otherwise, but it set a negative tone for my evening. All entrees and sides were excellent!

Two of us had a late dinner after seeing a play at the Goodman. We arrived around 10:15 on a Saturday evening, and had no trouble getting a table in the main dining room. The decor is a little "cold" for us, mostly black and white. There was a DJ playing music which was a little loud for quiet conversation. The food and service made up for it! Everything we ate was up to the standards of a good Chicago steak house, and STK fits in with Prime & Provisions or Mastros quite well. Our steaks were done perfectly and nicely seasoned, although I'd skip the STK steak sauce -- too sweet. The meat was fine on its own. Save room for dessert: We shared The Cloud, which is a strawberry cotton candy concoction flamed at the table. Tasty and a neat presentation. We had two appetizers, two small steaks, two sides, three cocktails, and a dessert and our bill was $260 including tax and tip.

My husband took me here for a nice dinner date. The hostesses were very friendly, our server was great, he made some good recommendations and was quite entertaining as well. The food was excellent. We started with the Crispy Calamari, so very tasty. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my husband had the Herb Crusted Lamb Rack. Both meals were prepared just as we ordered and they tasted great. I would definitely recommend STK. Our only issue was seating. Initially they tried to seat us extremely close to a party of 4 and the space was very tight. We couldn’t understand why we were almost sitting on someone’s lap when the restaurant wasn’t nearly filled. We asked for another seat and she promptly re-seated us. The space was larger and much more accommodating.

I visited the Chicago location for my birthday celebration. Daniel and Oliver were our bartenders and they both were amazing. Daniel was our main bartender (we sat at the bar) and he was so friendly, attentive, and didn’t hesitate to offer suggestions and recommendations. Oliver definitely didn’t hesitate to jump in with helping us when Daniel had to step away. It’s located on the corner and parking was very easy but I can see on the weekends street parking being hectic. It is a parking garage right across the street. The food was delicious. We only ordered from the happy hour menu and it definitely filled us up. The atmosphere was intimate and comforting!

On our trip to Chicago we were excited to try STK both due to reputation and reviews, however we were disappointed from the moment we walked in. The restaurant at 7:15pm was more of a club, the DJ was blasting music and it was nearly impossible to hear and it was just not a great first introduction. There are 3 dining rooms, each had a different design and so there was no cohesiveness which just felt odd and not upscale. We were seated promptly, and our waitress came over quickly but from there everything went downhill. It was so difficult to hear due to the music that the group next to us asked to have the music turned down (again, this was thumping dance music). Service was slow and forgetful, the food was great but drinks didn't come out with the meal, wine was forgotten, as was the bread (which looked delicious on the next table). Silverware was not ready when our food was brought out and we had to wait a good 3-4 minutes while our dinners were getting cold. We left as soon as we finished our meal, the waitress did apologize but with a bill over $500 it was just not worth it.

Very nice atmosphere and settings ! Very friendly staff! Nice vibes! We were there for a pre bachelor party dinner ! We had two types of steak with butter and sauces on the side! I has a lobster shrimp pasta ! The food is delicious but expensive! We had drinks too! I had a Moscow mule that was tasty too! Our server was very aware of the menu and was very friendly! It is recommended!

After spending a great 6 day vacation in Chicago, we stopped at STK for brunch before heading to the airport for our trip home. Our server Bria was friendly and professional. The food and drinks were delicious. Pork belly Benedict is a must order.

Excellent food and service! will return soon! Thanks to gino - ask for him to be your server! Get the desserts!! STK is great!

This place is kind of hidden on Kinzie just west of State Street, no flashy sign out front, but once you get inside you'll be highly impressed by the decor, the design, the amazing food and incredibly attentive service. Trinity was our server and did an incredible job. Good for a romantic night out, small groups of friends or even larger groups with the oversized corner booths that easily seat 10 to 12 persons.

STK Steakhouse has delicious and flavorful steak and sides. I really like the location and everything that they have available here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal.
Classless
Came here for dinner on Sweetest day. Unfortunately, We missed our reservation at Ocean Prime restaurant due to terrible traffic downtown. We were excited at first up until two gentlemen with sagging jogging pants and gym shoes presented themselves for dinner reservations. The restaurant is beautiful but you have a mixture of upscale folks who really went all out to impress their dates and dressed accordingly to people literally looking like they walked off the street corner to dine in. I’ve been to many 5 star restaurants and NONE accommodated this type of atmosphere especially where folks are spending 400+ dollars to dine. Please do yourself a favor and read all the reviews before coming here. If you like an atmosphere where you can dress down and wear anything you like then come here. Otherwise, treat yourself to a real classy restaurant and go elsewhere. Also, They do not have valet parking.
