I had an amazing dinner with a friend while staying at the W Los Angeles/Westwood a few weeks ago. It was truly outstanding. Dining at STK was really fantastic—even better than last year’s wonderful dinner there. And also even better than the dinner I had there two years ago. All of which were fantastic, actually. Some might not appreciate the chic lighting and ambience, but it really does match the W vibe. The bread was crazy good. Our appetizers were divine. The steaks were even more divine. I love a great bone-in filet, but few restaurants have cooked them truly well. (Mastro’s Ocean Club in Newport Beach is one of those that we often enjoy.) We so enjoyed the meal that we had to try dessert, despite being pretty darn full. We couldn’t decide between two, so our server comp’d us two and got us three darn desserts. His suggestions were the best. Our server was incredible. A great and funny guy. We had a fabulous time with him, and we were so grateful for his suggestions. An surprisingly amazing dining experience. It was so good that I was even willing to dine at STK again the next night—but my clients weren’t as fond of steaks. I can’t wait to return for the fourth time...

These little guys are good just don't expect much value for your money. You're better served going to the In and Out Burger right around the corner and buying a six-pack to dine in your room.

The food was fantastic , customer service 10/10 recommended this restaurant and the area were is located is nice ambient.

Went last night with two business colleagues for dinner. All the food was excellent. Superb NY Strip. Sides of mashed potato, asparagus and creamed spinach all superb. Pinot Noir delicious. Would highly recommend to visitors to LA, we really enjoyed it.

Like any other STK but LA always has those types hanging around wanting to get noticed. The food was pretty average and it's quite a small bar.

Food was delicious. The service is nothing but excellent. All we can do is recommend this steakhouse to our friends.

My wife and I decided to host a dinner for her sister and nieces at STK Steak. From the reviews we had read STK seemed like a great change from your basic dark wood steak houses. The atmosphere certainly didn't disappoint, although the music was a bit loud. The hostesses and bartenders were great. Very attentive to our needs as soon as we arrived. Things turned rapidly downward once we were seated. I had to go to the hostess to ask for a wait person. It still took quite a few minutes for our waiter, Johnathan, to come to the table to take drink orders for those who arrived after we were seated. For whatever reason Johnathan had a miserable attitude. Like he was doing us a favor by waiting on us. After drinks arrived we had to wait again before we got to give our appetizer and entrées orders. Ordered a large raw bar order which arrived on one platter for 11 people. Most restaurants I have been to would have split the order up to place on different parts of the table. Not at STK. Also they only brought one basket of bread for all of us. While ordering we were debating on side dishes. More attitude. Needed more drinks. Had to go to hostess to get server. This happened a few times. As to the food. No one was awed. Steaks and sides were mediocre at best. Certainly not a great experience and we would definitely not go back again. When you spend over $1,000 to entertain family your expectations are high. STK didn't come close to meeting them.

Had a tas ting experience yesterday at Los Angeles Magazine's annual Burger Beer & Bourbon fest at The Bloc. Ten hand selected burger places presented their best - and everyone we met agreed: theirs was the by far best, so I can not wait to go and check out their restaurant :-) And it was not only their burgers: the way the staff presented burger and themselves was simply exceptional. Well done guys, you were a joy to watch. You want more? Well all these places have the odd give aways, matches, business cards ... no lady really cares. They had a lip palm for the ladies. Sweet, really sweet. My wife appreciated the thought of detail to refresh her lips after dining.

We had a reservation Christmas Eve for a party of 9. The restaurant did not appear overly crowded, but possibly under staffed? The food was inconsistent where we sent one appetizer back, 1 steak was cooked well when ordered medium rare, one was great, the next over salted...completely all over the board. Greatly disappointed.

Went here on a business dinner. Wait staff was prompt. I'm from the Midwest and thought the filet was average. I enjoyed the blue cheese salad. Bread was ok with a strange green dipping sauce I thought it was pesto but I think it was cucumber. I liked the atmosphere. Very modern and dark.

I had my 30th birthday here, the event planner Cynthia was very nice, helpful, and very flexible. Great location, great setting and ambience. Great drinks, and food and most importantly great customer service. The staff really took care of me and my guest. Everyone kept saying how much fun they had. I will definitely be back! Thank you to everyone there for my my day so special!

Well from Valets, Front desk, housekeeping and food service and management Every person who represents the W hotel in Westwood makes you feel as if you are # 1 customer AAAA for customer service what a team !

If you consider having dinner at STK in Westwood, i recommend to reconsider. The place is in a nice and wuite neighbourhood in Westwood. I ordered a medium rare Delmonico steak, a 114 dollar steak, which was dry and overcooked. Unfortunately this was not the worst experience at STK that evening, even though the restaurant was not even at half capacity, when i asked a waiter for a drink, he replied that i should ask my own waiter and he vanished. In a restaurant with such high prices for mediocre quality stakes you would at least expect e topnotch service.

High end steak house. Adjoining club space and outdoor lounge. Can have intimate experience or group. Our server Johnathan was great!

First and foremost, the same issue as with the W hotel Beverly West itself! What has Westwood to do with Beverly Hills? Really nothing. The place is so overpriced, hilarious. A small stripe of salmon comes in on 39$ without a side dish - really? Plus side dish, tax and expected tip, you end up with 68$ for a main course. Wines are easily exceed 70-90$ per bottle. I don't see the point returning here.

The food and the atmosphere was top-notch!! The service was excellent...mostly because of Nick Jacobs. Nick did an excellent job making our night and our meal special. We also had the privilege of meeting Nicks girlfriend Marlana...she is lovely!! I will recommend this fine dining establishment to others. This is a beautiful elegant restaurant !

Amazing food, but very pricey. Bar service and wait staff was outstanding. Lobster ravioli appetizer was a hit, lamb chops fabulous. Over priced wine list.

Enjoyed an excellent meal, me braised short ribs and my honey a tender New York Strip Steak, the corn pudding was delicious, but not for the weight conscious. Service was slightly shsky at times, but cordial, It is located in a very conveniently-located hotel with decor and ambience (aside from an adjacent table of drunks who should not have been served any alcohol) that was nice.

Did not enjoy this at all. Has been to many STK’s and non of them as bad as this. The place was dead, no atmosphere what so ever and the food was average. Couldn’t wait to leave . Not be returning

We went to dinner the day after they opened in their new space. You wouldn't know it from the impeccable and friendly service and perfectly prepared food. Everything went so smoothly. I jokingly told them on checking in that I had been to STK Atlanta and had found the ribeye steak out-of-this-world - that they had a high bar to reach. Well, you know how time can embellish memory, especially of a good time! But everything was just as good at STK LA as I remember at STK Atlanta!! Now I won't have to travel so far for a great steak, a great time!

We enjoyed an excellent diner. Our waitress was excellent. The food is top notch. We started with the lobster ravioli. Fabulous! Not sure the DJ is needed. The food stands alone.

Went with a group of 8 for a birthday , we dined on the Dine La menu , but I wasn't thoroughly impressed . The place was cute but the food wasn't too flavorful . I had a porkchop and a beet salad with an apple tart .. The tart was very very hard . The pork chop was ok but not what I expected for all the hype Stk gets .

Had dinner in this stake house, atmosphere is really nice. but prices are too hight for the quality. I would not recommend

It was our first time at STK LA, We we’re having a mother and daughter dinner date, we were amazed by the service, our waiter Paul, went out of his way to make sure we had the best time and experience at STK, the food was flawless. Truly recommend this place.

We absolutely love STK in Las Vegas and have enjoyed STK Los Angeles before they moved to the W Hotel. One of the reasons we go to STK is for the high energy dining experience they offer. However, when the restaurant is nearly empty at 9 pm on a Friday night in West Hoolywood and the DJ is playing to an empty house, you have to wonder why they chose to relocate at the W hotel. Still great food and service, just lacking the vibe and energy they are known for.

The food is amazing and plenty (perfect for sharing) the ambience is wonderful and cozy, threw staff is super nice and the service is good.

STK in Westwood is a big, expensive DON’T. I, unfortunately, am the one who chose STK in Westwood for a family dinner (10 people) because our usual choice for a large party was closed on Sunday night. The reservation was made about a month before the dinner. Unfortunately, I ignored the first of many warning signs that indicated that this was not the restaurant for us. All reservations for this restaurant are made through the corporate office. It is off-site and they don’t want you talking to anyone at the restaurant. I was trying to arrange a large round table so we could all look at each other. I thought if I could talk to the venue, they could assure me that this was possible. While the “office” thought they could accommodate, they didn’t know for sure. So I made the reservation on a wing and a prayer. The wings and the prayer let me down in a big way… but ultimately it was the food, service, attitude and atmosphere and not a failure to provide a large round table. My wife and I were the second of our party to arrive. Once in the door – a half-filled room with loud, pumping music (so much for being able to hear and talk with each other) – the woman at the desk informed us that we wouldn’t be seated until everyone from our party had arrived. This, she wanted me to know, was corporate policy. How very welcoming. We stood at the bar for about 10 minutes waiting for other members of our party to show. When we had five, I went back to the desk and requested we be seated – with notable reluctance, they complied (all of which is odd because the place was half full… even if no one else showed up at this point they weren’t going to lose the covers). When the rest of our party wandered in, that is when the bewildering service and food began. The waiter, very jolly, wanted us to know and understand that this restaurant was more than a restaurant, it was all about “the Vibe” … “blah, blah, blah a cross between something something and a casino. Oy.” What this means, I think, is a lot of Kardashian wannabes ( this is Westwood after all) and men in leisure/gym wear taking lots of selfies as too loud music drowns out all hope for conversation. The whole approach to customers, however, was the aggressive upsell. Ordering a $90+ steak wasn’t sufficient. The waiter really really wanted us to know that she liked it with truffle butter. The $20 side of mashed potato was also excellent with $10 add of Truffle butter. Again, oy. In a half-filled restaurant, all of the courses took an enormous amount of time to arrive. The starters took at least a half hour to reach the table – along with the cocktails. The mains were another 40 minutes beyond that. I know the waiter knew this was a problem because they sent out some complimentary sides to try and compensate us for the extended time. Note to waiters, managers and chefs: additional asparagus (while tasty) and a plate of tater tots isn’t really compensation. Maybe try free drinks after nearly two hours in the restaurant. The food itself was ho-hum. I’ve had better steaks in various, more celebrated LA restaurants that were significantly cheaper. My wife (she says out of annoyance at the “explanation” that the place was all about “the Vibe”) ordered chicken (at $60+). It was inedible. They knew it and removed it from the bill. Note to chef and management – there’s a chicken take-out down Westwood Blvd. about a mile from your place with a “vibe” that sells really excellent chicken for $12. Not sure your “vibe” is worth $58 more. After more than three hours of noise, confusion and disappointment and selfies, we left without even considering desert. In spite of my complaining about price, it is primarily because this is not good value for money not the cost. I/we dine in very expensive restaurants all of the time. We are willing to pay for good/exceptional food, service and “vibe.” This fails on every level. The prices, the upselling and the continuing insistence on their “vibe” and quality being worth it, aren’t matched by the reality of the experience. Stay away. Even, if you’re ok spending $120 dollars on a steak or $60 on a chicken or $30 on a small bowl of mashed potatoes you can do much better. STK is like some Disney idea of a “fun,” “hip,” vibe-y restaurant. But it is a corporate fantasy not backed up by actual fun or vibe, services, quality or value. STK will not be part of my/our future LA dining, but given what I saw and experienced, that -- in part -- will be because I don’t think it will be open that long.

It's the worst steak house I have ever been to...in Las Vegas and Arizona. The food is so bland and cooked terribly. Regardless if you get lobster or steak, the meat is bland and overly chewy. Not moist at all. Very rubbery. The sides were also bland and the macaroni and cheese was the worst I have ever tasted at any restaurant. The service was slow. It was just a depressing meal all the way around. The chefs need to visit Steak 44 and get some advice. The food is priced the same yet EVERYTHING at Steak 44 is delicious and worth every penny. I will never waste my time or energy on STK ever again. My teenager makes a better lobster tail at the house. I have no idea how this place is still in business.

We have been to STK in Las Vegas and we had a great experience. So we decided to try LA’s STK. This was our first time at STK in Los Angeles. STK is a great restaurant with a nice ambiance; however, I always compare the quality and taste of any steak to my three favorite steakhouses 1st being 555, 2nd Cut at Beverly Wilshire and 3rd the penthouse at Mastro’s. We tried different cuts: filet, dry aged delmonico, gold ranch ribeye, along with truffle and lobster butters and unfortunately they were all average. The tuna tartar, blue iceberg and the east coast oysters were excellent and tasty. Additionally, the service was great, Nate our sever provided us with excellent service.

Their steak selections are all amazing! Fish items are cooked with perfection, juicy and not too dry but very crispy on the skin. The cloud on the dessert menu is a show to watch. Not to mention that they have good wine selections to go with their food and their service is super.

Our group uses the W hotel when we have important visitors. When I arrived at the restaurant for our private room dining I was a bit concerned as we were almost walking into the kitchen, then suddenly there was the room. I entered and could barely see the group because the lighting was awful and the decor was heavy black. Clearly not a place for the girls as it is heavily decorated old style steakhouse. What was also interesting on arrival and departure is how empty the main restaurant was which always makes me nervous. It was understandable though because the music was blaring so loud for a weekday that I could only imagine that it was not selected as a site for business dinners. There were eight of us and it took them thirty minutes to just get the drinks right and to us. Since it was a business dinner and our guest was from the east coast we wanted to get our orders in and get out in two hours. Well we started at 6pm, orders for food didn't go in until after 6:30 pm adn at 8 pm our entrees had not arrived. Our waiter and the servers were terrible. They were slow, he kept pushing b ottles of wine and water, never left the water where we could help ourselves so we were at his mercy to wait for him to come back. However when he did come back and the door was left open we could hear all of the kitchen noise (they dropped a tray) and the music blaring from the restaurant. It was disruptive to our dinner. The waiter that we had not only was he slow, overly aggressive with the pushing of drinks but he had an attitude when we would ask for things like clean plates. He never offered us fresh pepper for our salads, we finally had to ask for it. Their dishes are large so when the servers bring the plates they had they thumbs often in the eating area of the bowls and plates. Clearly not well trained on how to deliver the dishes. The food itself especially given the prices was not great. I had a delicate fish (stripped seabass) which had way too much salt. The sides we were encouraged to try were so so, mac n cheese and broccolini. They were not finished, again be careful about the waiters push for how many you need for the table..again too many. Even for business I am not interested in eating here again.

I had an amazing experience at STK with their breakfast in the mornings, the waiters Jose and Juan were amazing, very warm and kind people, they recommended me like the best plates and at day 2 they already knew what I liked (orange juice for starting). The bartenders were amazing too, we did try some good cocktails recommended by them and the service was awesome!

Had dinner with my family, bought 2 bottles of wine at $120 each when 2 flies were near our table and one of them landed in my wife’s wine glass. After we asked the manager “Carlos” to replace it. He said he could not open another bottle and offer to give me a cheaper one. Incredible !! You would think at such a high end restaurant their customer service would be excellent. Will not return until they train their managers better!

Good cuts of meat. I had the petit filet. It's good - I've had better (in florida) but really no complaints. The sweet corn pudding is AWESOME, must have.

Been there for the happy hour and tried 6 out of ten goodies. All delicious. With two cocktails and $90, incl. tax and tip, this was an absolute bargain. Perfect service in a nice setting outside by the pool. Will come again with friends soon. And, the question of the questions in my rating scheme: (a) did they exceed my expectation: yes, they did = four stars. Then, more difficult (b) would I be prepared to make a 30+ min detour just to dine here? I did, and I will surely do it again = five stars.

Lamb was awesome. Also raviolis was tasty. Service was excellent and I enjoy every second. Food is pretty heavy stuff, so u`ve to be hungry when you`ll go to eat there.

This W Hotel opened a while back but neither the hotel nor STK feel outdated. The interior is very hip and comfortable. Food was served family style and thought they did a good job with portions - and was delicious. Great service as well. It was a good venue for a wedding!

We went for dinner and it last forever the Sevice was the worst we ever had at an stk restaurant you should take care if this immediately

Stopped in for appetizers before our event. We were staying in the hotel so it made it super easy. Each had a wonderfully refreshing drink. We shared the lobster ravioli, super yummy. Also a wedge salad and fries. My favorite had to be the bread they bring out though. It has a blue cheese butter on top. So goooood.

I have NOTHING but great things to say. Amazing food, great service, outstanding and fun atmosphere. My birthday was the best!

Very dishonest, incompetent establishment. If you try to order from this place on Postmates they will claim to be preparing it but then they just keep adding ten minutes to the estimated time over and over again without explanation and never request a driver from the delivery service--in other words they are not really preparing it and just dishonestly wasting your time. The few times I have had food from them it has sucked anyway

Menu was a bit limited for a hotel restaurant. Would be nice if there was a little more variety and healthy options.

I went to STK on a Thursday evening with a group of girlfriends, and the experience was incredible. Walking into the hotel, the atmosphere and scent were just perfect! We were seated immediately by a friendly host. Our server, Lina, was super sweet, and Javier, our busser, was beyond amazing—so attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious! The juicy steak, corn pudding, and creamy spinach are my favorites. The truffle mushroom pasta and Chilean seabass were also standouts. We ended with dessert, and the donuts with dipping sauces were the absolute best! Shoutout to Raul from security! He let us take photos without rushing us and even had a hair tie when we needed it—truly an angel!

Go to Mastro’s in Beverly Hills instead - you will enjoy it much better. I’ve been to multiple STK locations around the country and this has to be the worst meal I’ve had at one. The staff and service are very good - nice people. Friendly and attentive. The food was just not good. We both ordered the A5 Wagyu - $30 per ounce, 4oz minimum. She had 4oz. I had 6oz. Both steaks were not good. Gristly and bland. Not sure if it was A5 or some other cut, but you could have better steak at home from a grocery store. All the food was *not* hot - warm at best, and I don’t know why. The server brought it all very quickly (it seemed), but I felt it all needed to be reheated. A manager came to ask about our experience and said he’d relay it to the chef. We were polite but told him the truth. The general manager also came by and was very empathetic and polite. Said he was glad we told him. I’m sure they will try to address is somehow. All very nice people - great atmosphere. But the food was just not good at all.

As a hotel guest i tried and they sat me on a table waiter comes asks whether i need water aftre 10-15 mins, this is supposed be a good place, I had to leave after waiting even for water.dont go solo you have 0 service!!

The W is usually a high end hotel, so we figured we would eat dinner here. The disco music they had playing was on full blast. Lights, music, scantily clad hostesses: everything you would associate with a night club. The ambiance was not that of a high end restaurant but the menu sure was: $50 steaks, $20 glass of wine. I thought maybe it's just the atmosphere that is lacking. Surely at these prices the food would be great. Spare yourself the cash. It was mediocre food but SUPER expensive. I would not recommend this place at all. If you are staying at the hotel, venture out and find a real restaurant. The waiter was very friendly - I guess he has to be to keep people in their seats waiting for their food listening to the BeeGees at full volume. Not worth $150 for two people - I didn't even have an entree!

I loved STK in NYC but this one is not at the same level. As the name implies, steak is their speciality so when you are paying top dollar for beef and you order 2 medium done steaks you expect them to be the same right? Hhhmmmm nope. One arrived medium and the other super rare. By that point you cannot send it back or both meals would need to go back. The US340 bill is therefore not commensurate with the quality of the meal... much better restaurants out there. Sorry STK LA but you guys need to try ALOT harder!

We were staying at the hotel and were pressed for time, so we had lunch here. I expected to be socked with very average food and high prices. First the food. I had the chicken pesto sandwich, and my wife had the cobb salad. Both were delicious and huge portions -- I have a big appetite and I could barely finish mine. Service was perfect -- informative, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance is very formal -- we were told the hotel's more casual dining room would soon be reopening. While the food wasn't cheap, it wasn't outrageous either.

A surprisingly great happy hour now. We usually go for dinner and decided to try and no regrets. The staff and the food is always fantastic. They need more tables and more publicity.

Reviews like these I wish I could give a rating solely to the service. The service here is ***** 5 star all the way! The service here was so down to Earth. No one had a hoity toity attitude. The place is was very trendy, so trendy that they were shooting a reality show next to us. We came for my man's birthday. I had a big birthday surprise for him and the staff had no problem helping me set up the surprise. The night before the restaurant had a large film party and therefore was all out of Hennessy. So because we were celebrating a special occasion the waiter was nice enough to workout with the bartender to get a glass of Hennessy privilege (an upgrade). That was a nice touch. However, I think the manager should have petty cashed a few bottles of regular Hennessy. It's a restaurant and Hennessy is a pretty popular drink (as I'm sure they knew and if there was ever a doubt they surely found out from the night before). The food was good, everything except for the steak. I guess STK has this charred style that is their signature. My man's steak was charred as well as my lamb. The char was excessive and tasted like burned meat. Once you got to the meat that was past the charred outside, it was actually very good. What makes this place good is all the other food we had. So if I return here I will ask them to not char my meat, or skip the meat options. The ambiance is great and worth going at least for drinks, but it's quite disappointing to be a STEAK house and not have decent steak.

One of the best hotel restaurants I have ever been to. Great Martini menu to start. Three choices of main course size, priced accordingly. Side dishes are very creative and well prepared. Will definitely be back. Manager was really hospitable and made us feel at home.

We went to STK to celebrate a victory at work and had a wonderful time. I frequent the NY location, so I was confident that we would be more than happy at this restaurant. The place is trendy, sexy, dark and tucked away neatly inside the W. People watching is top notch. We made the mistake of ordering a tomahawk ribeye to share among three guys. We through it was going to be enough meat, accompanied with the several sides we ordered. When the steak came, we realized our mistake and notified the waiter. STK management and staff was MORE than accommodating. I was really impressed with the level of professionalism and focus on customer service at STK LA. Instead we ended up with 2 x strips with chimichurri sauce, and the food was out of this world. I highly recommend STK and will return on my next trip to LA.

Absolute fan of this place since the beginning. Meat lovers, here is your heaven in L.A. And good to spot some celebs ...

Had dinner here with my wife. The filet was Amazing ... the atmosphere is great, the staff is awesome, and the food was well worth it. This is no budget friendly place but you do get what you pay for. I will definitely be back.

A spectacular birthday dinner! Our server, Zoe, was so attentive. The blue cheese wedge salad was delicious, easily sharable. Octopus appetizer was enough for an entree for one of us, as the other had a filet. The mushroom side enhanced both. The flaming cotton candy dessert, which enveloped a fresh berry cheesecake, was a festive end to a superb meal!

Simply awful. Despite the fact that our reservation was for indoors, they sat us outdoors. Absolutely HORRIBLE service. They brought appetizers but we didn’t get utensils until 20 minutes later. Steak was tough and inedible. Very expensive and not worth it. Avoid this place at all costs.

STK has always been among the top steak houses in LA. The first was on restaurant row, La Cienega blvd in LA. I have been to the La Cienega location on several vacations and always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. That location was moved to Westwood at the W hotel. The food is still great, the decor I find boring. Its a big open dim room with modern low chairs and plan wood tables. The restaurant was pretty empty when we were there so we were sitting in the middle of just a big room. The food is good, the service is great, the decor blah. Try the cream corn and the ice cream cones for dessert.

Great vibe, fun spot for after dinner drinks. Friendly staff and normally priced drinks. Bartenders are good

Good choices for appetizers and desserts. Steak was delicious. Cooked to perfection. Ambiance somewhat a little noisy with overhead music. Price reasonable for quality of food. If you are in the area and looking for great steak, check this place out.

service is bad ,you can wait for long time until some one will come to ask you what you want to drink ,? with really unfriendly way .

Booking is mandatory, always full. Nice bar and ambiance. Waiters are very gentle, organized and professional. Filet were very good and tasty. A nice fashion place full of good people. Must try.

The STK Steakhouse is in the W Hotel in Westwood. It has indoor and outdoor seating. The food is expensive. The bread and Brussel sprouts were highlights. The steak is good, standard for an upscale restaurant. The service was excellent - they took great care of us. The only thing I didn’t like about the ambiance was the music was too loud and too much like a coin than a relaxing restaurant - but that is just a quibble.

I ordered a NY strip and it was delicious and I expected that when I saw the price. The extras all cost extra if you want them. The service personell was good.

Our friends recommended for us to try out Stk and it was a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere is not stuffy like the other "top of the line" steakhouses. We ended up spending the night at the hotel because we had too much wine. I look forward to trying out their other location in New York when I attend a work event next month!

Had a great dining experience at STK. Our waiter, Joseph Polanco was exceptional! Since we were staying on site we were able to experience Joseph's amazing service almost daily. He even knew to offer coffee before I even asked. I highly recommend it! So, sad we didn't get to see you one last time before we left Joseph, but we will be back!

Quiet Monday late night, took a hour for them to bring the food out... very disappointing service and food quality, will not return.

I had the most outstanding dinner Sunday night at the STK steakhouse at the W Hotel in Westwood. The bone in fillet was an incredible to say the least. My vodka lemon drop cocktails were made to perfection. The staff 100 percent, the Mac and Cheese I woke up today and wanted for breakfast. If you want a prime steak STK is the place!

We stopped in for a drink on the way back to our room in the W Hotel. Bartender was friendly and talkative but man, no action in this place.

Nice food - but terrible service. Brought first wrong appetizers and confused chicken with fish… Instead of apologozing they tried to treat us in an arrogant way Finally we waited more than one hour for the food and they did not offer us even a glass of wine… The place is nice - but just for having a beer

This is the first time my friends and I ate At STK since it moved to the W Hotel in Westwood. I've always had a terrific time at events at the hotel and I've loved STK since it's opening on La Cienega, so I was anxious to try the restaurant at the new location. The decor is modern and very nice. The crowd was cool, the ambience was very lively. We ordered the spiced duck, rib eye steak, salads and the exceptional truffle fries. Everything was delicious. The staff was very busy, but very friendly and fun. I will definitely go back again.

My wife and I recently dined here for a post-Valentine's dinner. I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for a couple of years now. Seemed like a younger crowd. It had a lounge feel with mood lights and modern decor. There was a DJ mixing music from the 90s to now. Interestingly, it wasn't as loud as Mastro's Steakhouse normally is. I expected a good steak since it's a steakhouse and they didn't disappoint. We both shared the diver scallop appetizer as well as the tuna tartare starter. The diver scallops were great. I ordered the 20oz bone-in ribeye which was cooked perfectly. I always order medium rare and it was just right. My wife had the 14oz delmonico which I think was even more tender than my cut. We also shared broccolini and sweet corn pudding as our sides. We ended up taking both steaks home because we couldn't finish them. For dessert we had the dulce de leche stuffed donuts which I highly recommend. Savannah was a our server for the evening and she was great.

We went to STK to celebrate my husband's birthday with another couple. We had heard of STK and thought it would be a nice dinner out. We arrived and it was totally not what we expected. The lighting was set to VERY bright and it was a big open room with not much ambiance. It is definitely not a good place for a date. The service was ok. The food was great though. My husband had a filet and I had chicken. They brought out a cake for his birthday, which was nice. If it weren't for the atmosphere I would totally like this place. I like to have a romantic setting at steakhouses. If you aren't there for a date, you may like it better than me. One last thing, they couldn't make my husband a chocolate martini. We have never been to a steakhouse, or any nice restaurant, that couldn't make one. This was a disappointment.

We ate here after an event as it was late and we had an early flight the next day. We don't eat steak but found the seafood tower and salads to make our meal. The tower was not the most impressive we've had (for the price) salads were good again nothing special. We loved our martinis perfect actually. Enjoyed the DJ and music and our waiter was top notch. Nice wine selection again pricy but we expected it to be. Overall very good, if your staying at the hotel and need convenience.

Ate 2 nights in a row during a business meeting and was excellent service and food quality each night. The Spinalis steak was one of the best I had entire life, added peppercorn crust and it was divine. Size and quality of salads were solid, Brussels sprout sides and Cream Spinach sides were very good and service solid each night. Can eat also poolside and can also eat in bar area so the area is super flexible depending on level of atmosphere needed. Bartender was super cool and funny and provided us amazing drinks/service after dinner each night. Will return

The place is very nice and trendy. The service is very good. The quality of food is good (not amazing) but it worth trying it.

This is the only STK restaurant we have been in ,and it was located in the W Hotel in Westwood which tries so hard to be a lively, hip place. Possibly as a result of this, the lighting in the restaurant is like that in Virgin America 's planes -- cocktail hues in neon blues and purples . Due to the lighting, the cheese in the blue cheese crumble salad looked really weird -- a sort of radioactive sheen to it. Steaks (which I presume you go for) are so-so. Price comparable to other steak houses, but, I think you get a better tasting steak and better grilled steak at Ruth's Chris than you do here. Pacific oysters, however, were excellent, bathed in what tasted like a little chili water; but, on the other hand, other than buying old oysters, how badly can you treat raw oysters? They did have Nolets gin, however.

I visited for a birthday dinner, but we missed our time slot due to traffic. When we arrived the staff immediately assisted in getting us another table. & let me say that the drinks, the food, & service was all so great!

We ate here on Friday this weekend. We ate New York Strip with Parmesan Truffle Fries and Lemon Roasted Asparagus. The food and service were absolutely ok. Unfortunately it didn't take long after dinner before I started to feel nauseous. Since we live in hotel W where the restaurant is located we could run up to the room quickly It was not well spent 400$ including a ruined Friday night and Saturday morning. We told the hotel the following day and they seemed very worried and said that they would follow this up and return to us, which they still haven't. Not a particularly good experience.

I took my husband here for his birthday, LOVE! The staff was WONDERFUL and the food was beyond delicious. Everything about this restaurant screams sexy! STK is my new favorite restaurant.

What a disappointment after having been to a number of other STKs. We booked through open table and our Uber was late so we called to say we would be 10 minutes later. Not sure why we bothered as it was a a shambles so disorganised so many people waiting despite having tables booked we ended up being seated 25 minutes after we got there. The area outside is near the pool and the decor and seating really isn’t up to the standard we would expect. Our food arrived before they even brought out the complimentary bread and our server Teal to be fair was very apologetic. The toilets were grubby pool toilets. The food was fair enough but really disappointed with the whole experience and what a let down and doesn’t live up to STK standard at all.

I finally got around to visiting the W Hotel Westwood's newest restaurant, STK - Los Angeles. The atmosphere was dark, sexy, warm, modern yet approachable. The layout is great and everywhere you look there are unique design features to draw you in. The service and food were excellent! I started with the Crab Salad. Is was fresh, light but still substantial. I followed this up with a perfectly cooked skirt steak with a chimichurri sauce on the side and a tasty side of grits. The wine list was good, but I stuck with champagne. By the time we left, a DJ was playing music and the place was packed with hotel guests as well as City residence from what I could see. Overall I got a great energy from this place!! You really cannot go wrong with STK and I'm hyped that I can add this great dining option to my Westwood dining rotation.

FUN! We had really great service from a fun, engaging waiter. The food was good. Steak was excellent. Drinks were well made and interesting. The ambiance was great. The only negative is that this place is in the sad, crappy W Hotel.

The food was very good the steak was delicious. The service that we received wasn’t very good at all. There was a bigger event going on outside so that was the primary focused, so with that being said I believe our service suffered. We waited so long for our bill we decided to go up to the hostesses desk in order to get and pay our bill. That’s how long we waited I’ve never experienced anything like this before. That was unacceptable and there wasn’t an apology or anything. Not good at all..

Very good food with a variety of choices. Excellent salads, very good burger, very good service. Very vibrant bar scene at night which can make dinner noise level high.

Why did STK move from LaCienega in West Hollywood to the W Hotel in Westwood across the street from the UCLA campus? While the food and service are as good as ever, the ambiance Is not. We were there on a Thursday evening which should be a busy bustling evening but it wasn't. The place is vast and was more than half empty when we were there. The location in Westwood with its huge student population makes no sense. The quality of the food and service is still good but it struck us that this hotel location is doomed to failure. Hot dishes came out cold, some meat ( not mine) were served way over cooked. Not like the old days!

Such a great place. Walking in the light accents were purple and they had nice booths! Half booths for two, which we loved because we like to sit close to each other. We had the tuna tartar, the heirloom tomatoes salad, the 16oz sirloin, the market fish which was cod. And the sweet potato donuts for dessert. We had mac n cheese and spicy broccolini for our sides. Everything was delicious Our server Chad was amazing.

We ate here for breakfast because the Hideaway was closed. The food was good and our service was great. Just be prepared to spend $$$.

Bring you Appetite and American Express! Really yummy food but small portions which forces you to order a lot. We spent around $280 easily on wine, apps, and steaks. It was our anniversary dinner so cost wasn't a big issue. But if you are on a budget stay clear of this place!

Located in the lobby of the W hotel. I know it has a bar and restaurant but the music was so loud that dinner conversation was impossible. The wait staff was excellent. The seafood sampler was great. The wine prices were on the pricey side at ~2.5-3x retail. I ordered a NY steak to be cooked rare but it came as medium. The gladly prepared another which was correct. The steaks were average in quality and taste. For a restaurant specializing in steak, I expected higher quality meat and flavor. The desert sampler was excellent. I would say, if you want a quiet dinner with great steaks, this is probably not my first choice.

IT would not be fair to give a dinner review since we only ate breakfast here. Breakfast was okay, just like anywhere you would have breakfast, but it was on the pricey end. We were pressed for time, otherwise we would have walked to Westwood and found a cute cafe there.

I usually like old-school steak houses, and this is certainly not old-school. It’s more like dining inside a nightclub. So when we first got there, I was unsure about that place. - But the level of service and the quality of food was first class and I even found myself enjoying the DJ and the night-club atmosphere. My black-and-blue filet was prepared to perfection, my date’s filet was outstanding and the wine list was excellent. Of course, it’s not cheap, but I found it to be worth the money. I’d go again.

The food is great but most of all the atmosphere and the service are out of this world! I highly recommend it.

The food was good, but not worth that much. $170 for one person with no appetizer or salad? Yes, I had three glasses of wine and a dessert, but still . . .

Very impressed with the amazing modern vibes of the restaurant and the service. We had the best oysters , steak ,lobster potato and the best deserts!!

I came here to get a steak like i was in Milano in Italy. I hope that will be the Wagyu fillet but was not. Anyway we ordered a medium filett steaks and was very delicious! The spinach as a side was amazing. Finally bery good restaurant nice interiors and very special staff friendly and helpfull.

If you like Steaks and lounges, here is a way to combine both. Good food, good for people watching and good but not abnoxious music.

Great restaurant in perfect setting, we loved it., thank you. Went for a celebration, Uber from Huntington Beach, after a swift trip to Rodeo Drive and Walk of fame. you must go.

The menu on the website had no prices. This was our first clue. And seeing the menu in print certainly validated our sleuthy intuition. The food was very good and beautifully presented, no argument there. But over $200 before tip with one starter, two entrees and one dessert felt overpriced to me. Portions were sized well - they seemed small but were satisfying and we didn’t leave hungry. The music was also a bit too loud, although I connected to the playlist. Overall a decent experience. I wouldn’t necessarily revisit, but would recommend with the cost caveat.

Place has amazing steak, but be prepared to pay a LOT. Service is very good - wine is even more expensive. But if you want to treat yourself indulge

If a place specializes in steak and cannot get the temperature right, there is a problem. My husband and I both ordered our steaks medium rare. His was "blue" inside (raw) and my steak was medium-to-well. That was just the beginning of what was a very overpriced and underwhelming meal with terrible service. After we send the steaks back, the waiter spills water all over the table as he attempts to refill our water glasses. Okay, it's only water. However, he then proceeds to knock over my glass of red wine. Everything gets cleaned up and the steaks return with our side dishes (haricot vert and mash potatoes). Both side dishes were fine but not memorable. The manager, sensing a disaster, offered us free dessert and another drink. We turned him down wanting to get out of there before something else went wrong! Maybe it was just a bad night?

Much like all of the other STKs, this has the boom-thump-boom of a restaurant-cum-club, but man, oh man, are those little "brgrs" tasty! I opted for them with the truffle shavings- as I always do, and the special sauce was delicious per the usual. I wanted to lighten things up, so I went for the hamachi app and the jumbo shrimp cocktail as my main. I know: it's a steak house, but I had res made there upon client request, and they ordered steak aplenty... The hamachi was quite good: fresh, enhanced and heightened with green apple and fennel, and presented with a subtle vinaigrette... For the table, we ordered the mac and cheese, the cauliflower gratin, the sweet corn pudding, the parmesan truffle fries, and the kale-- you know, for some green... I can't speak to the other sides, but the mac and cheese was creamy and decadently delicious. I must say: I was a touch put off by the jumbo shrimp cocktail. Whereas it resembled in size, the shrimp in the dinner scene of Beetlejuice, they seemed a quite dry on the surface-- so much so, that I cut off the tips before eating. (In hindsight, I should have addressed the issue, but I was in the thick of it and having a great time with clients...) Our server was funny, sassy, and lively. Overall, and minus the shrimp, a good time and a good meal was had by all.

STK is extra yummy. This is a fine dinning eatery without any snobbery on the side. I do suggest reservations or there will be a wait. We have been a few times now and I have forgotten to review as I am so busy eating I forget to take photos. First, the service is amazing. All the servers and runners we have had are the best. They are super friendly and they know their menu. They can suggest a good wine or the best meal of the night. We have been for brunch and dinner. For brunch the lobster eggs benedict is so great. It is the best in town and the price is reasonable. They also have brunch items for vegetarians. For dinner you can't go wrong with the lobster and steak with a side of mashed potatoes. The steak is cooked exactly as you order it. They know how to make a rare steak and for me that is the only reason to be having steak. The lobster is so amazing. It is tender, never over cooked and just dip it in some butter and have a blast. They have a full bar and a really good wine list. Have a great time.

STK brunches are always fun. It has a nice brunch menu selection, food is delicious and best part is the Bottoms up Mimosa or Bloody Mary! Staff is friendly and super patient, especially when you've been at the table close to 3 hours! Lol This review is actually long over due- I've had brunch here many times and I have to give the staff major props! One of the best places in LA for brunch.

For a place named STK e.g., steak, I expected more. The food was mediocre, at best and yet the pricing is similar to great steak houses e.g. Cut, Mastros, & Boa. Best thing about the restaurant was the service and the Dj! I would not return. Not for food or drinks (those sucked too). Thinking that since the restaurant is inside a hotel maybe they don't really try because they feel like they have a captive audience.

Went to the LA STK at the end of May - it was our anniversary and we had previously enjoyed the STK in Vegas so booked without hesitation. The food itself was good but STK is all about the experience and being a cool, trendy place. The restaurant is in The W hotel and is situated right by the lobby for the hotel, this takes away from the exclusive nature of the venue. There were customers in shorts and T-Shirts and the whole experience felt like we were dining in a hotel restaurant with hotel guests popping in for their meal and then leaving again. I really really enjoyed the Vegas STK dining experience but was really underwhelmed by the experience in STK. For £100 p head I would expect much more.

For some reason, I have been wanting to try stk for a while now and finally got the chance during DineLA. *Value 4/5: The 3-course prix fixe menu is a good deal at $49 when each entree is already $29-40. Portions were pretty good too compared to other upscale restaurants. We actually were pretty full before dessert *Food 3/5: - We started with warm bread in a skillet topped with cheese and butter and a green olive oil/cilantro dip. We had second rounds of this - My Tuna sashimi appetizer was alright. It was too thin to appreciate the texture and the marinade wasn't anything special. If you are used to fresh sashimi at Japanese places, this wont do it -The Pork belly appetizer was good with some jalapeño kick -You would think that the star of the night in a steakhouse would be the steak! Nope, the hubs ordered the Petit filet medium and it was was just a bit pink and not moist. I took a bite and was disappointed -To my surprise, my Kurobuta pork chop was a better choice. It was very well seasoned, big and moist, and it came with creamy mashed potato and grilled brussel sprouts We also ordered some oysters that were pretty good and Truffle fries. These were big potato sticks, not very crunchy and they did not have too much truffle taste either. Not worth $10. For desserts, I had the Coconut cake with nuts and it was too dense. The Apple tart was better but hard to cut. I love desserts but didn't finish any...and I love desserts so this was not normal for me! *Atmosphere: 5/5. Very hip, sexy and dark. They had a live DJ playing music. Some people even got up and danced. The surprise of the night was FREE SHOTS!!! They played the shots song and brought free shots for everyone that were actually fruity and very yummy. Not sure why but cant say no to free! $7 valet parking with validation. Overall, not the best steak but a fun atmosphere and a good dineLA experience.

STK is located inside the W Los Angeles - so to enter the restaurant you need to find your way through the W lobby. The restaurants not your typical steakhouse but it is truly a great venue. Food is very good - had seafood starters and delicious bread to start, followed by steaks and fish - all done very well and served with a smile by the attentive waiters - very nice in a city where service is not really at its best. Wine selection is excellent and not overpriced and the DJ who plays the background music is great - downside: he is not selling his mixes. For a different type of steakhouse try STK!

Three of us wandered into STK after arriving tired from LAX and checking into the W. We opted for STK because it was convenient. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Table was reasonably comfortable, lighting medium, noise level moderate-high. Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. As it happened, none of us ordered steaks, so cannot opine on STK's obvious specialty. However, salads were fine, Hamachi app was excellent. Duck entrée was excellent, cooked as requested. Striped bass entrée was good, perhaps a bit oversalted. Free-range chicken entrée was excellent. Portions were quite large for a fine dining place. I would happily eat here again (and would definitely check out the steaks). Hint: wine prices are high, but some wines by the glass are actually a better value than the same wines by the bottle.

The food was delicious, but a bit pricey. The steak was delicious and so were the sides. We had the Parmesan truffle fries, Mac and cheese and spicy broccolini. We had the #thecloud for dessert and it was pretty spectacular. Our waiter was pretty attentive, but did leave empty glasses on the table throughout the dinner. The manager ended up walking by and picking them up. Overall, we had a good dinner and would go again.

Went here for our wedding anniversary while in LA. It's a restaurant /club..there is a dj playing while you eat at this restaurant. However it's upscale not like a bar...it was a nice mix..food was good..shrimp cocktail amazing!!

Great food Great service Hugely overpriced ... horribly overpriced but I guess I knew that walking in but The total ghetto atmosphere is a requirement to never come again ... horrible

Truffle tater tots, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, broccolini, steak, salmon, chicken. Chef’s tasting menu at its finest. I feel as though I’ve navigated the entire menu at STK.

We had a great experience here. Our waiter, Jose Ortiz, was amazing. He was very attentive and remembered my breakfast order on day 2. The food was fresh and good quality. I recommend completely!

Upon entering I was greeted by Kammy the hostess I told her I was waiting for the rest of my party and I would wait at the bar. She replied “no worries” I was impressed with her service because she made me feel welcomed. At the bar I was served by Dennis and didn’t have my wait long and suggested a drink cucumber stiletto, DELICIOUS! When my party arrived she had our table table and away we went to be seated. Our server was great and suggested items. The food was delicious, great portions and at the end they surprised me with a birthday cupcake and drinks for my party. Two Thumps Up! PS: If you find a meter at on the street I suggest you use it rather than valet. Valet was a hot mess when I was pulling up so I saw a open meter parking and used it instead. Thanks STK!

I'm obsessed with STK. I'm an habituée back in Milan, it's one of my favorite spots in the city. So I had to try the LA venue! Disaster!! Basically the restaurant is empty and still there are so many tiny tables one stick to the other. WHY? I love large round tables in STK restaurants, I would understand the choice of having these little square tables all over the place if you had the restaurant overbooked but, since you clearly don't, I personally can't understand this choice. I don't know what it was, maybe the lightning mostly (in a place like this blue and pink cold lights are just a big nono) or maybe this empty room with just a few drunk men at the bar (there is no selection?) but the whole atmosphere looked cheap to me. Like very, very cheap. I didn't pay for what we had, but since I know the prices of the restaurants I can say they're pretty fair for what you get.Usually. When I go to STK I expect a whole experience that includes food (but not only that), top notch service, music, warm atmosphere, a certain level of clientele; I'm sorry to say I didn't have this experience at STK in Westwood. Hope it improves, there would be just a few things to fix and the whole place would totally change!

Marco provided amazing service. We were there for hours and ordered like everything on the menu. The food all came out amazing. Will def return.

The food was very wonderful, the wine list had a good selection and the staff was very well organized and friendly. Keep up the great work!

Had a great time dining at this restaurant last week. Perfect service, fun atmosphere with great music, and delicious food. Would definitely return

Once we arrived we found that we were dining on a day that there was filming in the indoor STK space, so we were directed to the area adjacent to the pool instead. So STK prices in a poolside setting, not the special occasion dining room we had expected. This should have been disclosed to us before we arrived so that we could have found a nicer place to spend our cash. Of course once in the pool area we were seated at the worst table in the house, right at the entrance about 1 foot from the DJ stand. We rushed through what was supposed to be a special occasion dinner, uncomfortable with the whole situation. When leaving via the lobby (how else were we supposed to leave?) we were literally screamed at twice by security for walking the wrong way and to the wrong door due to the filming. I wish we could get that money back; what a disaster.

Enjoyed all of the above, plus some excellent cocktails and salads. Main course and dessert were fine but not the standouts of our evening there.

A must-try restaurant for those looking for a trendy place in Los Angeles. Superb service. Excellent food. Fabulous management. The only problem is that it can be very loud background music; it is even worse when the DJ is there. That is the reason why I did not give 5 stars. However, I still want to go back anyway and ask for a quiet table.

I ate twice at the STK, mainly because I stayed in the W hotel and it was heavily raining outside. Everything is completely overpriced, charging 65$ for a small salmon with a side dish including tip is a no go.

The food and service is as good as Las Vegas. It’s not as busy. I don’t think the Di is necessary. That food is excellent on its own. Our waitress was excellent and she had a large party in addition to us. I wish I had noted her name.

We spoke with the manager, Steve, a few times before our meal was out and he told us he had just started a few weeks ago. He was very friendly and attentive. When we got food. One steak was over done. We were asked by waitress and three managers if we wanted a new one but declined. The manager then offered us free desserts on him. They were very accommodating and had great customer service. He definitely applied the phrase. Full hands in, full hands out.

Valet service was quick and easy. Like all things, make sure you read the instructions thoroughly. Once you walk into the Hotel, the restaurant will be on your left. Nice vine amd ambience. Bar is nice but for dates, the booths towards the back is a must. They play a variety of music over the speakers and the food is amazing. Expect an expensive dinner but it is a great place for a Date Night with your special significant other.

Had a terrific Sunday evening dinner courtesy of Saint, who was extremely courteous and went above and beyond to ensure we had great service. We had the steak night for three people (note that it’s normally for two people, and for the third person, you just select half of everything). All the food was delicious and I’d highly recommend getting the wagyu burgers for the apps. The 14 oz NY steak is the best deal but the mushroom tagliatelle is also a good vegetarian option. My boyfriend’s mom loved the apple pie for dessert but the doughnuts are fun (there’s three options). Again, a super great experience and I’d recommend if you’re looking for a fun dinner with clubby vibes.

Went on a Friday night at 8pm not busy at all like some of the other locations we’ve visited. Server very good food good especially the macaroni and cheese. Music low atmosphere chic. Wish it was busier.

Was excited to be in LA with family, visiting from NY, and heard good things about this place. It was HORRIBLE. I don’t mind paying for delicious food and attentive service, but this place failed miserably. Ordered a Caeser salad for $25 and it was s flat plate of romaine with bland dressing and croutons from a box, and no sign of anchovies… I didn’t order a glass of wine I like for $55… Dry aged (?) ribeye ($106) was ordered med-rare, leaning rare and received medium. Sent it back and got the temperature right but it was TOUGH and really lean for a ribeye. Who serves tough ribeye? Salmon was uninspired. Sea bass was ok. Short ribs were clearly not cooked long enough as there was more fat than meat. Sides were better. Mashed potatoes and Brussels were good. The bread in metal crocks was a nice idea but stale. Wow just wow. The server was bored and focused on closing (we were outside and they were closing at 7 pm, but didn’t tell us this when we came in at 5:30). The table wobbled so bad we had to ask for something to shim it. They never cleaned the table and just plopped utensils in front of us…

STK in the W West Los Angeles is the main restaurant of the hotel. It tries to be ultra hip in the 1990s sense, but it is 20 years too late. The servers are quite nice, but the food is average.
Great atmosphere, great food
We love STK, have been here in the UK a few times so we visited the one in LA, It didn't disappoint, the setting ad atmosphere was brilliant, looked so classy and inviting, as with most places in America, the staff are always so friendly, we love this. We both had steak, I like medium rare always, and mine was perfect, so tasty, my Girlfriend always has well done steak, when hers arrived it was slightly undercooked but this was sorted quickly and we were offered a free drink by the manager. All in all a great night out and would definitely go again Enjoy
