We had a terrible dinner at STK San Francisco. The food was terrible. The steak was awful and very expensive. The ahi tuna tartare was good . The server was terrible. He had our steak brought to our table before we finished the appetizer. We had a terrible time. This is the 1st restaurant I have awarded a 1.

This place is amazing! Great vibe, awesome music, beautiful restaurant. We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to dine again.

I am writing to share my experience from a visit to your establishment earlier today for happy hour. After paying my bill, I inquired with a waitress wearing a white jacket about the location of the restroom before leaving. To my surprise, she informed me that your restaurant does not have a restroom. I found this quite shocking for a dining establishment. Consequently, I had to leave your premises to use the restroom at a neighboring location. Upon returning to my hotel, I called your restaurant and spoke with the manager. The manager assured me that you do have a restroom available for all guests. She also stated that she would investigate why the waitress provided incorrect information and would call me back. However, I have not yet received a follow-up call. I am very disappointed by the inaccurate information I received from your staff.

Staff was friendly and our server was ok and gave us a happy birthday surprise but for the prices, the food quality, portions, and overall ambiance was just meh.

Michael K is the best K of the STK. thank you thank you ! The nuts are the best (donuts). Lobster not the best but the Brussels sprouts well made up for it.

Overpriced. Poor service. There are many great places in SF to get a delicious steak dinner with fabulous service. STK is not one of them

Alejandra and Daniel made this so special!! Excellent food, fabulous service. Steak frites was awe awesome, so was stk sandwich and burger. Made it a day to remember

Very expensive steak (as in most American steak houses), but unfortunately not up to expectations (and price). Excellent service.

Was walking by and seen the red bow and went in what a great place. We had a lot of fun, Australian tomahawk was the best I’ve ever had. The mac & cheese with lobster was 🤩 I would definitely come here if you’re celebrating!!!!!!! can’t wait to go back

Worst possible service. We have been waiting forever and treated impolitely by personnel. Very expensive. Average food

I must say this was the worst birthday dinner experience ever. I'll start off by saying I'm from Chicago and came to San Francisco for my birthday weekend. My wife made reservations at STK San Francisco for my bday dinner for 7:30pm. This was our 1st time eating at STK, and we were pretty hyped. One of the people in my party ate at the STK back home downtown Chicago and said it was a bad experience and definitely not worth the price. He said the food was horrible, but I didn't think it would be the same here in San Francisco, but boy, oh boy, was I wrong. After we ordered our, we waited well over 1.5 hrs for our food. We waited so long that other tables after us were getting their food, and the manager came to our table a couple of times to apologize even before we finally got our. I ordered the lamb chops medium well and charred. Another person ordered salmon, and the other 4 ordered braised beef short ribs. My food wasn't medium well, it was medium rare and I even asked the waiter do it look medium well and he said no, that's medium rare and he don't know why it happened like that. I bit into 2 separate lamb chops, and they both were medium rare and taste horrible with no seasoning and no char. The salmon was without seasoning as well, and the braised shirt ribs weren't seasoned well at all either. I couldn't even eat my birthday dinner, and for lamb chops to cost $91, you'd expect it to taste top-notch. I told the waiter I couldn't eat that, and he understood why and apologized and said that it wouldn't be on the bill. The manager came to the table again for the 3rd to apologize about the food and also stated the lamb chops would be taken off and that everyone at the table get free dessert and 25% off the overall bill after the lamb chops deduction. After our check came and we paid the bill, they asked what we wanted for dessert off the menu for compensation, and we all declined. We waited almost 2 hours for our food, so we probably would've waited 1 hour for dessert. This food is wayyyyyy overpriced, and the food is trash.

This was our first visit to STK Steakhouse, on a birthday dinner celebration, and we were very impressed and delighted with the elegant decors, the phenomenal table service, delectable dishes and enticing cocktails. The DJ's hip hop music put a modern spin on the chic ambiance. The steaks were of course the standout, and Diego, who waited on us, delivered top notch personal service and made us feel so special. I will definitely recommend STK Steakhouse.

The food was great. Had the ribeye cap steak and the fillet. Both were outstanding. Service was also outstanding. Only complaint is the atmosphere...music is loud like a nightclub.

With such a well known restaurant and location. It was my first time visiting STK based on my boyfriend’s decision wanting to check it out. Overall it was a not at all a great experience as I thought it would be. With such a high price point, I would have rather gone back to McCormick & Kuletos or done Morton’s Steak house. I would have even just done Fogo De Chao for a bang for my buck. First off, hospitality of service. As I entered, the hostess lack professionalism and hospitality, definitely not an upscale greeting. The restaurant had an upscale beat but not upscale service. With all the fancy facade and cosmetics the restaurant showcased, it does not live up to a Ritz Carlton service. We were seated down to a wanky, and shaking table. The menu was in printed paper. Not the best quality, the menu was very different from the online menu they offer. Second, the waiting staff was not curated. Lacks attention, discovery, and understanding of the guests visit. The service lacked lots of check ups, I had to address and request service, versus being attended to per standards of the service industry. Third, I expected more spending half a grand on quality over quantity. I ordered the Shellfish Platter and it was noted “2 minimum order requirement” which I was expecting two orders but it all came in one platter which again, the quality and quantity did not meet price expectations. Very dissatisfied and disappointed as I was told it’s all served in one. The menu was not clear on expectations nor have specific descriptions. We also ordered the Mac & Cheese which lacked flavor. In addition, ordering the Paloma bucket was also another disappointment as we expected a “bucket”, we got instead a self serving cocktail experience which might as well clocked in and became part of the staff if this was the idea of “self service”. The marketing and menu is misleading to the consumer/ customers. It was not the best experience for a date night with my boyfriend, especially living in San Francisco, when there are abundance of upscale, world class restaurants. This did not live up to its hype. Anyone that enjoys spending over priced product in this restaurant is fooling themselves in to believing they are in the surrounding of world class when in fact they can expect mediocre service. I refrain to return here as I can definitely find better restaurants in this beautiful city. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for luxury, white glove, and world class service.

Wow. I realize that STK is a "Vegas" steakhouse chain so my expectations should correlate, but our experience there this evening should be a total embarrassment to their leadership. We were promptly seated for our business dinner, then ordered a round of cocktails. Unfortunately, we were then badgered for our orders repeatedly- being interrupted every 1-2 minutes. To placate our server, we attempted to initially order several appetizers. She quickly informed us that our entire order needed to be placed at one time because it was a busy evening with the JP Morgan healthcare conference in town and they needed to "turn the tables". We then placed our full dinner order and within 5 minutes, our appetizers (oysters and the ahi) were served. Within several minutes, barely enough time to even taste each of the apps, our steaks and sides were served. Quite surprised, we ordered red wine to enjoy with our steaks and ended up having everything we ordered thus far crowded onto our table. Unless I'm mistaken, STK is not a fast food joint. It's an upscale steakhouse. Being quite annoyed by the time pressure we were feeling, I asked to speak with the manager to share our very hurried experience, including the "turn the table" comment by our server earlier. Her response was equally surprising - a somewhat confused apology and another comment about it being a busy night, and essentially a blow off. We proceeded to eat our meals - a new York strip and a fillet - both the STK signature way, along with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steaks were a bit overcooked but well seasoned and the sides were fine. That said, the minute we would put our forks down we were asked if we were done. This happened several times until we finally thought it best that we just allow them to turn the table and continue our conversation at a nearby restaurant/bar. Bottom line, the food was decent - but the utter disregard for proper pacing, continuous interruptions, rushed service and the managers complicity in the priority being "turn the tables" was something I have honestly never experienced anywhere before. And I'm a native New Yorker who doesn't do anything particularly slowly and I fully understand that the restaurant is a business. But given that this is an upscale place, the overall experience was totally unacceptable.

5 Stars! Amazing happy hour and Michael K took great care of us! The food was terrific, atmosphere fun and the service top notch!

Came for my wife birthday and our host Jazmine was great!! We actually stopped by for brunch and then dinner. Oyster were great and the drinks were amazing. Had the steak and lobster Mac and cheese, shrimp cocktail, brussel sprouts everything was great!!

We were very interested in seeing it, the place is not known if it was due to the season and we went on a Sunday it was empty. It is being remodeled outside, you can't see it well. The letter ok. The wagyu burgers are super delicious! The mushrooms with bacon are delicious. The perfect cut in the time we asked for it. The dessert (apple pie) was raw. The music pretty good. Our hostess/waitress was a little apathetic at first and then quite approachable and recommended mushrooms to us :)

All of the promises were fulfilled...the location was outstanding, the service from Huntly was very attentive and friendly and the master in the kitchen, Don, took the time to initiate our son into the secrets of the ultimate steak. The treats at happy hour were very tasty, the steaks and side dishes were perfect and the desserts sent us to a heaven of taste. Thank you very much!

We went for Happy Hour, what a wonderful experience. Great food, great service, great drinks for a very fair price. We will definitely again when back in town.

STK San Francisco was amazing. Food was better than expected and service was 5 stars. The atmosphere is lively and they have great music.

For food lovers, San Francisco is a fisherman's paradise for seafood and Asian delicacies. But there is a place for locals and tourists who prefer traditional meat-and-potatoes fare. STK Steakhouse, rated the city's No. 1 steakhouse, is the place for steak. It also offers a chic lounge. Located at 1 Market Street, in the Financial District, it is open from 11 to 11 Monday through Thursday, 11 to midnight on Friday, 10 to midnight on Saturday and 10 to 11 on Sunday. I started with Baby Gem Caesar salad with herb croutons, parmigiano reggiano, lemon and black peppers and a jalapeno pickled shrimp cocktail with lemon and cocktail sauce. For my entree, I chose a 14-ounce bone-in filet with bearnaise sauce, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with parmesan crust, sweet corn pudding and creamed spinach. For dessert, what's better than apple pie with cinnamon crumble and maple creme fraiche?

I had a fantastic dining experience at STK, thanks to hostess Tatiana and server Yasmine. Tatiana welcomed us warmly, setting a great tone for the evening, while Yasmine was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The steaks were perfectly cooked, making our night truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Very good food and a great Christmas atmosphere. I've been to the Las Vegas location a few times and the San Francisco location is smaller but almost identical. Very good service, festive atmosphere and a solid blend between upscale steakhouse mixed in with a high end bar.

Beautiful restaurant! But I was very disappointed after ordering a plain Cesar salad and adding Shrimp to it, to later find out I had been charged $12 Per Shrimp and only received 3 of them. The Salad alone was $28. I had no idea I'd be paying an additional $36 for only 3 pieces of Shrimp totalling $64 for Just an Ok salad. I am not one to complain and the waitress was so very nice, but I believe you should inform your customers of the quantity of items they're adding to their food, as well as inform them that it will be an individual charge for each protein added. I eat at a lot of nice restaurants, and I have never experienced this. This was my first time here and my last. Staff was pleasant.

Not it be missed while San Francisco. Great quality food especially the steaks. Spoiling options for steak actually. The service level is world class in a very comfortable ambiance.
Amazing happy hour cocktails, appetizers
The happy hour cocktails and food are absolutely amazing. You can’t beat the price or quality. They have $9 cocktails and happy hour bites priced from $3 to $9. They have several different appetizers to choose from so I’ll be coming back a few more times to try everything. Both the service and ambiance were perfect. Their happy hour is from 2:30pm to 6:30pm, and again from 9pm until 11pm.
