Enjoyed Happy Hour at Sushisamba Las Vegas

By hsalinas2023 |

Great food and service. Our server Jade was excellent! Happy Hour had a nice variety of choices. Love the sushi, rock shrimp tempura and mochi ice cream. Will come back again!

Magnificent food in a noisy environment

By DreamsOfMyComrades |

The food is magnificent. Just a wonderful fusion of Japanese, Peruvian, and Brazilian cuisines. The arroz Chaufa (fried rice) was as good as we’ve had anywhere (except maybe in Peru!) The sea bass skewer was perhaps the most delicious fish I have ever tasted. Service by a young man named Nick was attentive and very helpful. The environment is extremely noisy. The ambient conversation noise is loud enough; there is no need for the blaring music adding to the cacophony (management please take note!) The price is what you’d expect given the location and the quality of the food. Portions are appropriate. Speaking of the location: Please be advised this establishment is actually in Pallazzo, NOT Venetian. We spent a half-hour trying to find it.

Vegan menu!

By Greta G |

They have a vegan menu but I don't think it is advertised. The service is not very friendly. You need reservations.

Delicious

Excellent food, great atmosphere. Lots of options for sushi and it's amazing no matter what you choose to eat. The wait staff is wonderful and very tentative.

Sushi Time!

By Bea Kissinger |

Celebrated NYE in Vegas 2021 and we were looking forward to trying this place out. We were able to snag a late reservation, about 9:00. The restaurant is huge and the atmosphere was great. They definitely practice wearing masks, cleanliness and the rule was no more than 4 people at a table. It worked out well, we had 6 people all together and they sat us next to each other. Our server was great too! She promptly came to the table and was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered: Rock Shrimp Tempura: I loved it and so did the table! Braised Wagyu A5: I could have eaten this myself. Sad I had to share with one other person - this was amazing, melt in your mouth - drooling as I write about it. Samba Strip: Lobster was yum! This was amazing, it was very flavorful and something she recommended Lima: sushi roll with shrimp tempura, king crab and avocado - it was okay wasn't my favorite Samba Sashimi - 9 pieces 3 selections - it was great, tasted very fresh Sashito peppers and edamame were basic. Dessert: Honey toast - my fave! It is definitely something you can share between at least 4-5 ppl. This place was good, but I probably wouldn't make it one of my "Must go to every time I visit Vegas lists." Cheers!

Incredible taste and flavour - what an experience

By David H |

Incredible from start to finish. I cannot explain or describe in words what a super dining experience that was. Every plate was different and the incredible flavours just made it a sensational night out!

Great food - Poor Service

By AK-reviewers |

The food here is fantastic- absolutely amazing- drinks we also great - the only reason I didn’t not give it 5 stars was service - lady bartender was very inattentive almost to the point of rude. It was clear she did not really want to be there doing her job. Yes it was busy but come on! Anyways the food and drinks and other members who work there were great - we would try it again.

Great find! Must try!

By MI |

Sushi Samba was a random but pleasant find. This not so hidden gem is located in the Palazzo Grand Canal Shoppes when entering from the bridge that runs over the street connecting to the Wynn property. It is easy to walk by as there are many restaurants throughout the resorts, many of which are overpriced and leave something to be desired as far as food quality and taste. This restaurant was not one of those. My wife and I ended up there randomly after wandering around the shoppes we wanted a place to grab a quick bite. This was one of the few restaurants around that were actually open for lunch so we decided to try it. The restaurant is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines. I usually don’t like fusion foods like that as they tend to be poorly executed and more gimmicky than anything else, however, this restaurant delivered on the theme. The service was friendly from start to finish. We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant had a nice relaxing atmosphere. It wasn’t overcrowded and was quiet and easy to have a conversation in. The food was very well executed (highly recommend the ceviches, miso sea bass, and banana chocolate with the liquid toffee sauce). What was most impressive was our server. We had plans to eat at a buffet that night and so we didn’t want to have too much for lunch. We had initially been interested in the tasting menu priced at $100 per person. Our server quickly pointed out that it is a good amount of food and probably not what we want if we’re planning an all you can eat later that evening. He gave us great recommendations for food. There were a couple of other things we wanted to try but again our server recommended that we start with what we had already ordered and see if we want more later as we were going for a lighter lunch. To his credit he was absolutely right. We enjoyed every dish we had and the amount of food was just perfect. He didn’t try to upsell us and even told us when to pull back when he though we might be over ordering. His honesty was refreshing and his recommendations were excellent. We ended up going back the next day for the tasting menu and fortuitously ended up with the same server! Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Overall Value: 5/5 Price: $$$ $: $0 - $50 per person $$: $50 - $100 per person $$$: $100 - $200 per person $$$$: $200 - $500 per person $$$$$: >$500 per person

Food, drinks, bartenders-amazing! Server was awful, hidden charges, beware

By Fearless91541 |

Food and drinks and bartenders were amazing as always. We visited last Friday January 6th at 4:00. We were asked if we would like water, not bottled water and were charged. My friend asked for a sparkling water and was charged for an entire large bottle that she could not take with. We felt taken advantage of. We had a simple order with our party of 6, the server refused to do separate checks. I would understand if she was busy or it was a lengthy order. But neither were applicable. She had absolutely no care about any of this and ignored us. I run multiple restaurant locations in a tourist city and what happened and how it was handled is very unfortunate.

OMG

By jpeffer |

Sushisamba is beyond words, totally packed, nightclub vibe, but beyond reproach in service and quality of the food. So easily 5 out of 5, maybe 6 out of 5!

Go elsewhere! There are so many better dining options in Vegas.

By Kristina |

Every few years I forget just how awful this place is and end up coming back, mostly out of pure necessity since they always have availability when all other restaurants are fully booked. Clearly for good reason. This week’s visit, however, will most definitely be my last. Our party of 9 had a reservation for 7:15. It was about 10:30pm when the grossly underwhelming main dishes finally arrived at our table, with ZERO explanation from our server Benjamin as to what caused the delay, let alone any apology. I left my seat about 3 times to find him - 1st time to tell him about missing drinks, 2nd time to tell him the drink orders were incorrect (which were never corrected btw, since he obviously didn’t hear a word I said when I placed the order), and 3rd time to ask why we’ve been waiting for 2.5 hours for the remainder of our dishes. 4th time someone else in our party had to ask about the mysterious delay given the entire restaurant had cleared out by that point. To expand on the title of this review: if you’re looking to spend $2k on a Wed night dining experience in Vegas, I am certain that literally ANY other restaurant would be a much better choice. Even if their mediocre food was excused, the service is beyond aggravating. Did I mention that we were still charged for all the wrong drinks that were brought out? I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business.

Happy Hour

By YVRCPA |

Great selection of small plates for Happy Hour at the bar. Great service. Good drinks. The perfect place to grab a bite.

Food Poisoning

By Pea032015 |

Unfortunately, we think that some of our sushi caused a bout of food poisoning later that evening. My daughter ate different items than I did and she spent the night throwing up, etc. Not as inventive as it used to be. Also, taquitos are typically fried rolled corn tortillas with filling, but here they are mini tacos so it wasn't what I was expecting although it was pretty good.

The Japanese-Peruvian food is bright, citrusy, and umami-driven

By kenO8207YC |

Sushisamba is an excellent lunch destination in Las Vegas. It’s reliable, energetic, and easy to get a table. While the sushi itself is pretty average, that’s not really the point here. The restaurant shines when it leans into its Japanese-Peruvian roots. Part of the long lineage of Nikkei cooking that traces back to the early influence of Nobu Matsuhisa (Matsuhisa being one of the greatest all-time LA restaurants), Sushisamba focuses less on minimalism (which is inherent in great sushi) and more on bold, crowd-pleasing flavors. And when it hits, the food is bright, citrusy, and umami-driven. Take the crispy taquitos (either Yellowtail or Kobe) with a spicy aji panca sauce. Addictive, crunchy, rich, and impossible to stop ordering. The seaweed salad is fresh and well-balanced, and the various sashimi ceviches are consistently good, bright with citrus and heat, and ideal for lunch. I’ve eaten here multiple times while in Vegas, which says something in a city overflowing with options. Service has always been solid and professional. Come for lunch, skip expectations of transcendent sushi, and lean into the Nikkei dishes. It’s flavorful and dependable.

Birthday Heartbreak

By Casey |

Good Evening, I am writing this in response to a heartbreaking experience myself and 8 other people had at your establishment due to a server named (94) Carmine. Myself and a group of friends came to your restaurant to celebrate at 30th birthday, at a spot that accommodated everyones taste in food. We had two tables directly across from each other. Your server was noticeably hostile towards one table versus the other to the point that it was uncomfortable to everyone involved. The waiter was perviously informed we were celebrating a birthday and was notified of whose it was. After ordering we did not hear from our waiter until the end of the night. He frequently approached our other table, and despite our best efforts, we were unable to let him know that we were missing all of the birthday girl's dinner and quite a bit of sushi. Everyone else in our large group had received their food, ate and the table was cleared and her food was still missing. We had also ordered a bottle of Saki, that he took with him and was not returned until the end of the meal. We asked two different people if they could please ask him to come over, watched them go speak to him and he still did no return. After an another extended amount of time, we then asked if her meal could be cancelled as we needed to leave and she was upset. Only then, after another absurd amount of time did he then bring the food over, place it on the table and leave, only stating that the kitchen was backed up. He was extremely rude when we said the meal was no longer wanted and left. When it came time to pay, he took both checks from the two separate tables at the same time and ours took 15 minutes longer to return, which was cause for concern. He was observed standing around and speaking to other staff members while we continued to wait. The birthday girl left your restaurant in tears and her night was ruined. As medical professionals and frontline workers, this was our first break and moment of peace in what was a very long year, as Im sure you can imagine. We will not be returning, nor will our friends. I hope this can be resolved as no other birthday's should end in tears, especially after a terrible year. Please do better.

Just alright

By Dominika O |

We came from UK and SushiSamba in London is very difficult to get a dinner reservation for on the weekends (you have to book like 2 months in advance on the dot etc) so we thought since there is one in Las Vegas and there was availability when we were over, we thought we could use this as opportunity to try it. Given the London locations are super spectacular, the decor is amazing and how difficult it is to get a table, we had great expectations. Unfortunately our visit did not live up to those expectations, decor was ok but nothing compared to London locations and the Sushi was average. The staff were nice and it was nice to try but wouldn't rush back.

Absolutely incredible

By Katie O |

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants of all time. This was my second time here and it reminded me exactly why I wanted to come back. It’s seriously some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. This time I had the Wagyu gyoza, gem salad, crispy taquitos, neo Tokyo roll, ebi nigiri, and akami nigiri. Every single thing was incredible. You can’t go wrong no matter what you order here. Wow… I can’t wait to come back again and again.

Wowsa

By AM |

First let me say, thanks to the chefs for having such an extensive gluten conscious menu. What a delicious and fun meal we had. Started with a strong! and yummy caipirinha followed by yellow fin tuna tostada, grilled chicken and grilled beef with corn, then the coconut milk seafood stew (forgot the name of the dish) Everything was delicious, service top notch and cannot wait to go back to try more dishes.

Every time we come to Vegas

By Jeffrey S |

We now try to eat here every trip to Vegas. It never disappoints. Very creative offerings that are always delicious and quite memorable. The Kobe gyozas are to die for as well as any of their signature sushi rolls.

Fabulous food, fun vibe, fantastic service

We had a wonderful dinner - food was terrific, and our waiter was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. We will be back!

Great food and reasonable price

Sushi date with my son

By Yvette T |

As a single parent, I made it my mission to expose my son to different things; in particularly traveling and trying different foods. To my surprise, at a young age he enjoyed eating sushi with Mommy. Fast forward about 18 years... this past week we took a break from the daily hustle & bustle and flew to Las Vegas for a quick getaway. I returned home a few days earlier than my son so we decided to have a sushi date my last night in Vegas. We were already at The Venetian Hotel for the gondola ride so we decided to stay there for our date. We walked upstairs to SushiSamba and we were greeted almost immediately. From the hostess, to the waiter to the serving staff, we received excellent service from start to finish. The restaurant is beautiful and they’re working on a new bar area as I type this review. We had an amazing experience here. The menu items are exquisitely designs to intrigue your pallet. Each dish was served and plated with such elegance. I mean I had to take a picture each time another dish arrived at our table. The waiter (Jarred) was absolutely amazing. As we conveyed to him what we liked he’d point out a menu favorite that we just had to try. Each recommendation exceeded our expectations. As we paid our bill and prepared to leave, I asked to speak with the manager so I could verbalize how much we enjoyed our experience at SushiSamba! This is definitely on our “return to” list! If I could rate more than 5, I would ...... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Another great meal

By lucycan |

I arranged a dinner for 12 people. We ordered all kinds of different menu items from sushi to steak. Service is a bit slow, but to be expected for such a large party. Sushi was excellent, as it always is. Steaks were also very good. I'd go back.

Winner!

By Chris B |

This gem is located in the Grand Canal Shoppes within The Venetian. We made reservations at SUSHISAMBA as part our anniversary celebration. They WOW’d us beyond belief with their attentive service, eclectic ambiance and the wonders of their Japanese, Brazilian, Peruvian dishes. No wonder this restaurant is only located in a select few special locations across the globe. It was a memorable experience.

Nice place , bad food,

By Alon |

Nice place , nice vibes , price above average, food below average, no fresh fish, bad sushi , average appetizers. Wouldn’t come back .

Pointless restaurant

By Torrey B |

Good taste but lacks food options, they have a small selection of 5 or 6 sushi rolls and food comes in small portions. I tried to order a sake but they were out of what I wanted and was recommend a similar one but it wasn’t similar and absolutely no taste. The Sake was also way over priced, I found the same bottle for 50$ less then what they are selling it for there. It’s also a very loud environment, I had to yell to my partner who was only 2 feet away. Definitely wouldn’t go here for a date.

Fresh sashimi at a normal expensive price

Great selection of sake. Fresh Tasty sushi, traditional and fusion. Fast service and great atmosphere. Easy to find with the unique architectural style.

SushiSamba

By TerrasTravels |

We checked this place out right after KAMU Kareokee as it is right there and I highly recommend it not just because they carry my favorite Cabernet Peju but also because the ambiance is great and the customer service is really good and the food is delish! I had the Tonkotsu Ramen with pork belly which was amazing and my friends had the garlic edamame, Japanese beer, and the chicken teriyaki samba style! All they said were very good. Our server was great and very patient with us as we were a group of six and all very talkative! What a great experience and I can’t wait to go back again!

Rudest Bartenders - Do not go here for takeout.

By Chrissac |

Obviously, take-out is not the strong suit of this restaurant, but I really wanted a sushi roll to go. I was told by the hostess that I needed to order it at the bar. Doesn't tell me which part of the bar to go to, just says the bar. Took several minutes to see if one of the bartenders would acknowledge me, which none did, so I finally stood next to a seat and flagged one down. She took my order and rang up the sale, took the extra tip I gave her without even acknowledging nevermind thanking me. No one ever said where to wait for the order. I noticed someone bring a bag down from the kitchen and place it on the side of the bar. Not one person checked to see who it was for or deliver it to the person who ordered. I finally had to go back and flag another bartender down to ask about my order Turns out the order sitting there was mine all along. The worst system for take out ever.

Cool decor but lacking for in ambiance for me!

By Siobhan |

Have been to Sushi Samba in Edinburgh and London and the ambience and atmosphere are a million times better so I was disappointed this was located in what felt like a rather derelict shopping centre. We booked a table but were seated beside the unoccupied shops and then inside the restaurant which was very dark - ok for dinner but for lunch a no from me. We then chose to sit at the bar, the staff were friendly but not particularly attentive. They also have large TVs playing sports in the bar/restaurant area which I will never understand as a European it totally brings down the class for me, creating unnecessary “entertainment”. The food a drinks were divine. As always the sushi is gorgeous - we had spicy tuna, king crab and crab maki with miso soup and edamame and it was perfect portions and taste was excellent. I ordered a glass of champagne which wasn’t cold enough and in an awful glass similar to a large martini glass. However, I then had a spicy margarita which was perfection. I would go back for a quick light bite and cocktail or a work dinner but certainly not for a dinner date.

The service and food was outstanding.

By JR |

The service and food was outstanding. Great recommendations on drinks and food. Everything was good. I’m normally not a big sake fan but my husband got a sake flight and it was great. The downside is they were under construction, and the ambiance was disappointing with the bright lights from the mall hallway shining right in our eyes at our table. I would ask for a table further inside the restaurant.

Simply superb

By Dan F |

A long walk from the Venetian, but well worth it. The food was innovative, superb. No weak dishes. The service was spot on. As good a dining experience as we’ve had in Vegas, including many high end restaurants.

Absolutely delicious. Just go.

By Havefuneatwell |

We went as a big group and asked the waiter to bring out their most popular stuff. It was a perfect way (and not horribly expensive) to experience this absolutely perfect fusion of Japanese, Peruvian and Brazilian cuisine. Don’t miss the robota sea bass. Just go.

Sushi-samba Experience

The food was so different and tasty. The service 5 star and drinks were perfect blends.I had the Nina cocktail, the sea bass, one of the sushi’s and the dumpling. Shared with one other

10 out of 10!! AMAZING

WOW!! Some of the best Sushi I have ever had. Also the skewered Miso Seabass and the Peruvian corn are to die for!! The service is great!

Ono Tonkatsu Ramen

By garysJ3116GB |

Ono sashimi and sushi. The tonkatsu ramen is the world champion. A menu to die for. Staff are wonderful.

Absolutely delicious!

By shannonlott |

Absolutely delicious! We ordered just about one of everything and each dish was so good. The fusion menu is worth ditching a standard sushi place to try this.

Fantastic food

Sea bass skewers, Neo Roll and Las Vegas roll are amazing. The place is beautiful, the service was impecable, good value.

Lovely experience

By Liga C |

The food was excellent, service as well- i know they were very busy, but we felt very special and welcomed 🤗 Me and my husband celebrated our wedding day and my birthday there last year May. Thank you so much for making it special!

Ask for Jade

By Taylor D |

Jade was awesome. My wife and I have a dairy allergy and she knew the menu backwards and forwards. Knew exactly what to recommend and the food was incredible!

The Service with Liz was Amazing

We Loved our Service with LIZ , I rate it a perfect 10 and the Food & Drinks were yummy! That cocktail coconut matcha sour was Amazing.

Would recommend

By Shampeu |

We had a nice family dinner here. The service was great and they offered nice options on the kids' menu. The kids' dinners arrived on a sushi boat which they loved. Their portions were good. We started with the tempura green beans with truffle aioli which were delicious. The edamame was good. The miso soup was flavorful. The seaweed salad was exceptional. I really liked the miso sea bass but didn't like the corn underneath.

Keep on Walking

By Trvln Man |

Sigh … this place is not special in any way, other than perhaps the architectural design of the restaurant. The nigiri? Tiny, tiny pieces of fish that are overwhelmed with excessive miso. Service? I watched as many diners around me received their food, even though they both arrived and ordered after us. I’ve eaten sushi in some of the best places around the world. This restaurant trades on its convenient location, but the quality and service is among the worst I’ve experienced.

Wow factor!

By Jennifer H. |

Dinner was amazing! Service was great and the food fantastic. I had some of the best sushi I have ever eaten! My Husband loved the Waygu and the potstickers are to die for! Will definitely visit on our next trip to Vegas!

Delicious Sushi!

By ChelseaTravels94 |

As a big sushi eater am confident to say this a very nice sushi restaurant! We had a starter and a side too which were equally lovely. Small let downs our sever was quite blunt in explaining the menu (it’s quite extensive however you need to understand difference in dishes otherwise not clear at all) I understand people who know sushi in more detail who wouldn’t be thrown by it but my partner wanted to ask questions about the starters and sides all of them normal questions but it seemed the host was irritated answering them .. like we should’ve known before coming or just simply know!! Both starter and main were delicious as said before I love sushi and this place did not disappoint in its reputation of lovely food. This is a chain and will be trying its other restaurants.

Just love this place, never disappoints

By Jeffrey S |

We feel we have to go to this place every time we are in Vegas and it never disappoints. The menu is quite varied, very creative and delicious in every corner. We love exploring different parts of it each time. The sushi rolls are all world class. Can’t wait to go back

Good food

By Azam Soukar |

This a good restaurant indeed. I have tried the mensota soup with sea bass and salad. It was all very delicious and had a great taste. It is highly recommended for all food lovers.

More than good food

By Nanette C |

Service and food were incredible. From the drinks to the atmosphere- SushiSamba did not disappoint. Our favorite dish was the Sea Bass skewers. If you want to taste layer upon layer of Asian/Peruvian flavor, you MUST eat here. It’s not just good food, it’s an experience.

Yum!

Great sushi, drinks & service. Excellent deals during Happy Hour. Try the wagyu gyoza, it's amazing!

Jesus. You suck for older people.

By Noa H |

Wow. We, as a couple, had such an amazing experience here in 2022. Been talking about going back for two years. Went last week and was so sad and disappointed. It is an expensive restaurant but we are blessed to be able to afford it as a treat. We are an older couple so went around 4 p.m. My partner was in a Wheel Chair, no lie, and they made us go up one level. Okay, seating helps with our hearing but there wasn't a lot of people there yet. We were there for the happy hour and ordered what we had last that was so delicious: wagyu gyoza and sushi. We added some drinks as we were staying at the Palazzo and added some edamame and lamb. The gyoza was terrible, so was the sushi. We get the bill and it is crazy. We mentioned the happy hour that we were there for and were told that we needed to be seated down the few steps that they made my partner, in a WHEEL Chair, walk up. Service was horrible and we felt so rushed. Not sure who you are waiting for on a Tuesday at 4 p.m., but good luck. I feel confident that you do not care b/c we are not your target demographic, I get it. Just don't need to be jerks about it. Jesus.

Great Food, Atmosphere and Service!

By Heather & Chad F |

We were told about Sushi Samba while at the pool of our hotel, so we made reservations for dinner that night. We were seated immediately when we arrived and Isaac M was our Server who made this experience even better. We had a martini and a mixed grapefruit drink that were perfectly made - and strong. We ordered appetizers of Edamame, Urchin and the Sea Bass. The Sea Bass - PERFECT - was on skewers with a crunchy glaze. For dinner, we ordered the Churrasco Rio Grande - which consists of ribeye, wagyu and chorizo, served with black beans, collard greens and a variety of sauces. The steak was prepared as we requested and it was delicious!! Definitely a meal to be shared. We will be going back to Sushi Samba when in Vegas! And back to Isaac - he was exceptional and provided service that we wished we could get everywhere!

Late Night Sushi that Delivers!

By J0hnnyA |

Me and a friend dined here late after a Sphere Dead Forever show. We rocked all night to the Dead and were quite famished by the time we got out of the Sphere. This place was a GREAT LATE NIGHT FIND! Miso soup was fabulous and the sushi rolls we both had were perfect in every way. Not too big and not to small and thankfully, not over done with the damn sauces Americans seem to crave. I just came back from three weeks in Japan and I'm here to tell you, they don't put all that disgusting mayonnaise crap on sushi in Japan. Anyway, our server was super friendly and attentive and seemed to know just exactly what we needed. From the nagori sake to the delicious sushi rolls... everything was perfect and serving until 1:00am made it all wonderful! Thank you Sushisamba!

Extraordinary!

By Megan S |

The menu here is different, but because I love sushi so much, I can't go to a place with sushi and not order it, so I focused my meal on the Japanese side, ordering the yellowtail sashimi seviche, and two of the Samba rolls (get the one with lobster - you won't be disappointed!). Everything we had was incredibly fresh and decadent! By far the best sushi I have had in quite a while. As far as ambiance, it a nice, fun place to go, but don't expect a view (it is inside the shops at Ceasar's). For me, this is a must every time I go to Vegas!

Great food attentive service

By Massimo DC |

Excellent food, delicious cuisine and friendly, efficient service. Don't miss the mix of desserts which are EXCEPTIONAL like all the other very fresh dishes.

The Food is AMAZING!

By Gigi_604 |

Living in Vancouver, BC - we have a lot of great authentic food options. I also personally struggle eating in America because dishes have too much sodium, use poor quality ingredients and supersized. - We went to this place as a double-date with my friend that lives in LV. This restaurant changed my perception. Everything we ordered was delicious and nicely portioned. Highly recommend going to this place with multiple people to share a number of plates. The Chilean Seabass with the corn was my favorite item on the menu. The restaurant itself is beautiful too.

An Interesting Dinner in June

By The_Loup_Garou |

An Interesting Dinner in June We were staying at the Venetian in June, for a series of business meetings for my wife. As I was dining solo (she had business dinners the entire trip), I was looking for a few new, or interesting restaurants. I chose SushiSamba for one dinner, and it WAS “interesting.” Eclectic is the very first word, that pops into my mind - Eclectic, in almost every way: the cuisine, the interior, everything. I was not sure how I had imagined Brazillian-Peruvian-Japanese Cuisine to be, but was not totally prepared for what I encountered - Eclectic - there’s that word again. The restaurant is divided into a dining area, with is much larger, than it appeared from the outside, and then a bar, with both interior spaces, and seating, out on the concourse of the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian/Palazzo (though we have stayed at each before, I still do not know where one ends, and the other begins), so not quite al fresco, but it almost seems to be, given how open it is. The décor? Oh well, let’s try eclectic again. Almost everywhere, there are arcs and circles, and I mean everywhere. Some are a bit more subtle, but most are large, bold and very prominent. “Colorful” is another apt descriptor too - bright colors everywhere! I was seated at a little 2-top, facing the windows, but those are frosted, and several wrapped with signage, readable from the concourse, so it is not as though I had a view. I had the wine list, and menu quickly, and began planning my culinary journey, but wines first. The B-T-G wine list is short, so I had my first choice quickly: Cave De Lugny “Les Charmes”~ Burgundy, France ‘15 (Chardonnay) - not bad, though the stemware was a bit “industrial,” and the wine too cold to start. Where to go next, as I was solo? Martinelli Bondi Home Ranch Water Trough Vineyard, Green Valley of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir ‘13 - should be a good, universal wine - and I was correct. Again, the stemware was no better, than for the B-T-G Chard. For a $190 bottle, I would have expected better glassware, but I could live with what I got. As I was definitely in an eclectic restaurant, I kept with that theme for my meals: From the “Small Plates Menu:” Broiled Peruvian Bay Scallop w/ shiso lime butter crust - nice, but the shiso lime butter crust overpowered the delicate flavor of the scallops (3) - just a bit heavy-handed for me. From “Samba Rolls:” Lima w/ shrimp tempura, spicy king crab, avocado - good, but rather one-dimensional for my tastes From “Nigiri & Sashimi:” Soft-shell Crab Roll - a bit better than the Lima Shrimp Tempura, and a bit more delicacy in the execution Rock Shrimp Tempura w/ snap pea julienne, spicy mayonnaise, green pea, black truffle dressing - a good dish, but not the best version, which I have had. Coconut Rice - OK, but lacking in any depth of flavor The plating and presentations of each dish was so-so, with a bit of sloppiness out of the kitchen - not bad, but far from perfect. That pretty much goes for the service too. It was a bit haphazard, and most often seemed rushed, though the dining room was always less than full. It was pleasant enough, but it seemed that every server was on a dead-line, to turn my table. I hate being rushed, when I dine, and felt it here. So, the food was good, but fell short of great. Maybe I did not order correctly? The service was mediocre, at best, though I think that each staff member was trying to do their best, but seemed to have had some edict to “turn all tables, ASAP.” The noise level was high, and especially when the bar filled up. Personally, I do not need loud, to tell me I am having a good meal. Then, the lighting was somewhat dim. The table spacing, where I was seated, was good. I rather doubt that I will be back, as I know of two-dozen better sushi restaurants, and the “fusion” aspect just did nothing for me personally. As for the price, well for great sushi, I am used to paying about 2-3x more, but having a nice, quiet meal, and relaxing, while I take in the fabulous presentations - fabulous to behold, and fabulous on my palate. This was neither - just better than “average,” and not by much.

Exceptional Cuisine

Chosen to celebrate a birthday and it was a great choice. The ambience, decor and food was exceptional and the staff lovely and very helpful. It is pricey but well worth it!

Good food - Awful Video background

By JimGunther |

Recent visit while staying at the Palazzo. We only ordered a couple rolls - they were generous, tasty, and reasonably priced. Beer and wine also not excessively priced. That said, my major take-away: a grainy video loop (5/8 minutes long) played on every screen in the venue - similar to the quirky early 1960's "Mondo Cane" was, frankly, disturbing. Even if I was hungry, I'm not sure I could tolerate the video. Never had such an experience.

Great Food and Presentation!

By KJG |

The food is excellent and the wait staff were all very friendly. We did the Taste of Samba ($100 per person) and this did not disappoint! More than enough food for the 4 of us and beautifully presented. The only reason I did not give a 5-star review was this: We reserved under the Taste of Samba reservation section and it showed our reservation was from 5:15-6:45. Not being used to having an end-time I figured it was a popular restaurant and with the pre fixe menu they only allowed 90 minutes, which worked out great for the concert we were attending afterwards. Unfortunately at 7:00pm we still had 2 courses to go! We had to request the final two courses simultaneously and that was a bit rushed for not only us but the kind wait staff as well. Additionally, the dress code was stated as "smart casual" and specifically said no beach wear or flip flops. So it was somewhat annoying that the people in front of us had shorts and flip flops on but were seated anyway. So why put out there a dress code if it's not going to be enforced? Again, the food is excellent and the wait staff very friendly and accommodating!

Least enjoyable meal

By LB_RN3 |

Went here based on reviews and was very disappointed in our food. Service was excellent, cute place and good vibes. But the food was overall not great. We were in Vegas for a limited time and sad we wasted a meal here.

Amazing Sushi Oasis!!

The food and ambiance were perfect for a chill sushi dinner before Beyonce. Jade recommended the sea bass and did not miss!!

Nice Mix and Fusion Asia/South American

This was our first visit to Sushisamba. We were seated promptly and our server was quickly there to greet us. We shared several dishes and followed some of the recommendations from our server. Everything we ordered that well prepared and delicious.

Disappointing Sushi

By Shawnola |

This place came recommended and was doing a solid business, however, I was disappointed. I had a scallop appetizer that just didn't have much flavor to my taste and a shrimp tempora roll that had a small unappealing amount of shrimp. Nothing like I am used to. Service was good, but it was an overpriced and unfulfilling meal.

Would Not Eat Here Again

By DonnaW3779 |

Service was fantastic. Bartenders were so friendly and helpful. Ate there for happy hour and was underwhelmed. The taquito cevicje was very good and so pretty. The rock shrimp was good and pretty, too, served over tasty greens. The eel was not good. Tasted really fishy. I didn't like the Kobe gyoza either. Very pretty plate and the sweet potato under the gyoza was an interesting and tasty twist, but the beef itself was meh. Like overcooked hamburger nuggets. Blech. At $15 for three gyoza on the happy hour menu, I would not eat them again even if they were the price of regular pork gyoza. Service 5/5, Food 3/5, Value 2/5

A+ for creativity, food and service very good

By Jen W |

Love the creativity of the ambitious fusion menu. The food was super yummy, not mind blowing. Service was a little slow and inattentive, though friendly... we had to ask for our check after 15 minutes of sitting there to make a show. I would try it again when staying in the hotel.

The food was amazing

By Laura C |

The food was amazing and the waiter was very nice. If you go you have to try the wagyu gyoza, it is amazing.

Up to you if you want to read

By Traveler27877748402 |

Our server was fantastic, I can’t recall her name but she was very knowledgeable of the menu, questions and allergies for food items, attentive and she was pleasant to interact with as a server. We had one guest that had soy and minor gluten allergy which she provided with a different food menu. This was our first time at sushi samba and I chose this because I work in the industry at a Peruvian inspired Japanese restaurant for over a decade and I’ve heard talk of this place. I will be brutally honest, and I know that creating consistency for food is not easy for a restaurant but should be expected for the prices( which are on par with Nobu) I was very disappointed in the wagyu dumplings that I didn’t finish they were over cooked (2/10) similar to hamburger helper. Kanpachi taridito (5/10) did not have depth of flavor, but fish was fresh and beautifully cut. Seabass miso skewers (9/10) yum! Perfectly cooked. Miso needs to be thicker just my opinion Ribeye Toban (9/10) delicious, loved the sauce, perfectly cooked to MR. Rock shrimp (7/10) nice depth of flavor , but at this point I was comparing to Nobu’s rock shrimp. We ordered more as 3 ppl, review is already too long. Around $400 bill. Advice : runners should know which guest has allergies, and they should NEVER need customers to make room for new dishes. Cocktail program is very weak. I feel this is just a really badly executed “try to be Nobu”, same menu spiels and everything though. But Server program was fantastic.

Sushi Time!

By Rachel E |

What a fun find! My husband and I had just checked into the Venetian and were starving. This bar is so unique. We were there for happy hour, and they had a fabulous selection of delicious food for decent prices in Vegas! Louis was our bartender and he was so friendly and attentive. He was very professional and provided us recommendations for things to do. I’m so glad we stumbled on this place!

Eclectic sushi joint

By Ed from Charlotte |

We had a fantastic meal at Sushi Samba in the venetian. They have your standard sushi fare but also some very unique and wonderful dishes. The tuna ceviche was the highlight for me. It is a very interesting motif, but it was quite dark. Would be great for a romantic dinner. Service was excellent. Tab was not as high as I thought it would be. Not cheap but quite reasonable for the venetian on the strip.

Excellent meal

By rockyny2014 |

Great service and meal, The waiter Gus went above and beyond . Thank you Gus. Filet Mignon and Wagyu Gyoza were a standout.

Just OK for lunch

By Patrick R |

Nice place with a good atmosphere but we missed the hype of the advertised show! Made a reservation but it wasn’t needed. We’re seated in a booth right next to the entrance but as the restaurant wasn’t busy, no problem. The shashimi 15 piece which was well presented. Usually order Saki but way, way too expensive. No normal tea so ended with ginger ale. Would probably not go to this restaurant again but it was ok.

Excellent

By sarare |

We had dinner at the sushisamba. The restaurant is huge and very noisy, but, the food is excellent!!! Everything is conducted efficiently and serviceably. Very nice. Very testy.Highly recommended.

Not only Japanese creative cuisine, I also found natto.

By GoldenBernese |

A Japanese + South American restaurant in Palazzo. I was a bit scared of the restaurant's concept, but I wanted to try Japanese food, so I went there. When I read the menu carefully, I noticed that there were some authentic Japanese dishes mixed in with the original dishes. I was surprised to see natto rolls and robatayaki, so I ordered them and they were purely Japanese and delicious. It was quite cool (or rather cold) in early November, but the air conditioning was on full blast inside the hotel. The seats on the aisle were exposed to the wind from the building, so it was better to move to a warmer seat (if there is one available) as it was cold.

Where to eat natto in Palazzo

By conimaru |

The name of the restaurant makes you hesitate at first, but it's better than you'd think. It's nothing above average, but they have things like natto rolls and ume shiso rolls, which quench your craving for Japanese food during a long journey. I timidly ordered the "miso soup with coriander," but there was barely any coriander in it, and it was just tofu miso soup. The yellowtail collar is delicious. It takes about 20 minutes to prepare, so it's best to order it at the beginning. They also have grilled eggplant and asparagus, which makes up for the lack of vegetables.

Worth the wait

By Gurjit K |

We were unable to get a booking at the door but did come back the next day and understand why it's so busy!! Everything is just fresh and delicious. We had a mix of rolls and specials at the time. Seabass was one of them. Great recommendations from the team.

Great food and awesome service from start to finish

By Georgia A |

Amazing service and delicious food. Open late. Combination of Japanese, Peruvian and Brazilian. Shout out to Justin who did an amazing job to welcome us.

Awesome place for sushi and small plates

By FK |

We stayed at the Palazzo hotel, and this restaurant is very close to the guest elevators on the Grand Canal Shops level. Finally a Vegas restaurant with generous space between the tables! My first cocktail, a delicious drink based on Yuzu and some liquor, was unfortunately served in a tiny (two sip) glass. With a hefty price tag. But my second drink with Kobe washed whisky had a standard size and was also tasty. We had great food! Sushi, oysters, ramen, and firecracker shrimp were all prepared to perfection.

Great Asian fusion restaurant with creative dishes...

By Steff A |

It's been a good 5+ years since my visit. This visit was a business lunch with friends and Sushisamba did great.. Sushisamba ambiance & service: The contemporary Asian dining area looks like a set straight from a Jpop video. Definitely social media friendly and can make for a great date night dinner in the evening. The service was on point. Our main server was a huge help with the menu and checked on us frequently Her assistant kept our drinks fresh throughout lunch. Sushishamba cuisine: Crispy Yellowtail Taquitos - This was a delicious and creative appetizer. Tiny in size but packed with flavor, this is a definite revisit Seabass skewers with peruvian corn - Absolutely yum. The seabass was fresh and perfectly skewered. Paired with the peruvian corn made this my favorite dish. Neo Tokyo Roll - Named after the class anime movie, this roll was a table favorite to share. Bigeye tuna, tempura flake, aji panca makes the Neo Tokyo roll visually appealing and a tasty sushi roll. Yellowtail Tiradtito - Savory and fantastic. Highly recommended if you visit. Tonkotsu Ramen - Tasty broth and they were generous with the pork serving. The thin ramen noodles were soft and fresh and I was happy to see a full boiled egg cut in half here. This was a good ramen for an Asian fusion restaurant that doesn't specialize in this. Sushisamba has survived on the Las Vegas Strip for over a decade and I can see why. It's definitely $$$ pricing but the ambiance, service and the creative and tasty dishes is definitely a win. I'm pretty sure it won't be another 5 years until I return. Cheers!

Great Sushi

By Brad B |

Fantastic sushi and Wagyu. This is the best sushi I’ve had in Vegas. It is definitely worth coming back to. The location is perhaps a step down from the best restaurants in town, but the food was great.

Sushi and Brazilian mix

By Jesse S |

Fewer options if you are just looking for sushi, but has nice small plates that you can share and sample different dishes. Typically when we order a seaweed salad it just comes enough for one, but this gave three different kinds to try. We ordered a coupel rolls as well. Overall food was good.

Amazing food

By Rene C |

A friend took us there for dinner and we were pleasanlty surprised by the food options. Great ambiance and an even better experience to try. A must if you are walking thru the Venetian.

Excellent Lunch Stop

By Bobby E |

We stopped for lunch on 6.14.22 Space Decor was nice. Lighting was good. Had a solid vibe. Three of us were sat at a horseshoe shaped booth that could fit 6-8. A sushi bar with seating was located at the top of the stairs. Staff It was not busy so the smiling hostess sat us immediately. Our waiter arrived quickly to take our drink order. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The busser kept our table clear of empty plates. Food An early breakfast and late lunch equaled hungry family. We ordered Japanese A5 Wagyu gyoza, suggested by our waiter, as an appetizer. Chicken, ribeye, sea bass, Peruvian corn, and asparagus came from the robata aand rrived on skewers. We also tried a umeshiso roll from the sushi menu.. Our dishes were delivered quickly. While everything was tasty, the goyza and sea bass were the star of the show. So much so that we placed a second order of the goyza. I felt this was a great choice or lunch at a solid price. We definitely received what our money's worth from both the food and service. Overall a great experience and we would return. I would like to give them a 4.5. I am going to round it down to 4.0 reserving 5 stars for the ultimate experiences.

Always a wonderful night at SushiSamba!

By EXPHouston |

Always love SushiSamba in Vegas and London! The Vegas location is in a neat area in Palazzo/Venetian. The food and atmosphere is amazing. We ordered shared small plates ( Taquitos small tacos and the shrimp) as well as sushi. All were fantastic and the wait staff and atmosphere were wonderful. I highly recommend it!

Eclectic eatery

By AlpinerHut |

It's safe to say this is the only Brazilian-Peruvian-Japanese restaurant I've ever eaten in! SUSHISAMBA in The Venetian Resort starts by overwhelming the eyes, then overwhelms the palate. It's all eye-catching blacks and browns and reds and oranges. The new Tree Bar arches over stools and tables with bright orange leaves. We started with drinks: a Caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail, and a Mojito, a Cuban highball. Next up: Rock Shrimp Tempura (snap pea julienne, spicy mayonnaise, green pea and black truffle dressing), Amazonia sushi (collard greens, portobello mushroom, takuwan, cucumber, avocado and wasabi-onion soy) and Spicy Tuna Roll. All excellent. A better meal than we had the next evening at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Lounge in The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort (see my review, "Service? Too fast"). TIP: --Go during their Samba Hour (Sunday to Friday, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) when you get special prices on the three meal items we ordered (plus several others).

Oh WOW! What a treat!

By Karen A |

First of all, I don't eat sushi but the boss loved this place so I followed along. What an amazing experience! I had the JAPANESE WAGYU beef ISHIYAKI that you sear right there on your table on the smoking hot stones. There were all these sauces, seasonings and oil that our very through waiter showed us how to use perfectly. I am a bit of a foodie and this was one of the most amazing things that has touched my tongue! I also had an Heirloom Tomato Salad which was also perfect. I had some sort of wrapped scallop thingy and a couple of other tastes. Everything was fantastic. My boss was all excited to get this cocktail tower thing. You chose what drinks you wanted included. I'm not a drinker so I left that for them, but it was pretty and something I had never seen before. The atmosphere was dark, lively, interesting artwork (read about it), way cool restrooms...with an attendant, flamboyant host, and totally confident educated server. I can foresee returning here again...as long as the boss is paying! Yummy!

Happy hour at the bar was good

By bugsy554 |

We didn’t eat here for dinner but instead were at the bar late afternoon for happy hour. I thought the selections were solid and the food was good. It was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the casino. It is located among the shops and in a very quiet corner.

Taste !!

One of the best foods that I’ve tasted! What a flavor !! Spectacular food experience!! Just perfect !!

Will definitely be back soon!

By Lynn H |

Fantastic service, beautiful ambiance and delicious dinner! We especially LOVED the Seabass skewers and beef wantons!

Great meal

By GillyTricks |

We arrived during Concrete World & The Shot Show - but we managed to get a booking. The staff were all fabulous, the food was amazing, the interior was well set out. The food is spectacular. But, I would say that the tables are a few inches too close! Given they are quite close, we found ourselves dealing with a slightly annoying table neighbour who tried to order for us. He had been a million times (we hadn’t) and knew the menu off my heart. Anyway, after a bit of it’s ok no thanks - we took a recommendation of the Seabass, to get him to calm down. His guests gave him a less than gentle hint that he should be talking to them not the couple on the next table. We did see the funny side, and it didn’t dampen the meal - I put it down to having a beautiful wife and perhaps one of handful of women in a room full of over excited concrete/gun dudes all on company Ex’s.

Jon and Sashimi

By Jon T |

Jarret was our server and his suggestions on specialties in both sushi and sashimi were spot on. Likewise, don't forget to order the MOQUECA, a fusion Japanese/Peruvian/Argentinian rice-based fish chowder. Its one of their featured meals. Ambiance is superb. If you're a fan of Japanese food, you'll love this fusion approach to dining excellence.

I gave a glowing review back

By Lincy |

I gave a glowing review back in Aug 2019 and was eager to get back to SushiSamba for more in my current trip. There was only one regret from my previous visit, I didn’t sample their infamous miso seabass skewers. They were highly recommended by my server, and boy not only did it not disappoint, it instantly became my favorite thing I’ve had the pleasure of eating in my Las Vegas trip. The sweet sauce, tender juices, and amazing seabass literally melts in your mouth. Like always, the SushiSamba lemonade is delicious. A staple every time I visit. Also samples the LIMA, shrimp tempera roll with alaskan king crab, and the crispy hokaido scallops. The sushi here is also the most exquisite money can buy on the Las Vegas Strip. My favorite is the Unagi (barbecue eel cooked). 10/10 everything.

Fun and delicious

By yorosey |

Great spot. Fun atmosphere and delicious food. Glad we went early before it got jammed packed. I will totally go here again everything we had was awesome. Miso sea bass and Wagyu potstickers were the amazing.

Cool to see

By Heather |

Tree bar is cool to see. The service was lacking, although they were staffed. There is a daily happy hour with a limited menu, but the full menu is still available as well.

Unpleasant Experience!

By Lraep |

Booked a table for lunch b’day celebration. Upon arrival, hostess was on the phone for 5 mins & queue started to form behind us. We’re then led to a table in a deserted area next to the mall walkway, like how you’re seated in a food court. We asked to be seated in a better table & was told they only had 3 servers & had a hard time properly seating ppl. We’re then led to an over-crowded area with absolutely no social-distancing. It was then we decided to change to another restaurant, which we’re so glad we did, ‘cause we then had a really good dining experience!

Japanese spectacular

By roci_alcazar |

We loved the place and were very well served. The decor is very cool. The menu is great and we really liked the ceviche, the sushi (though it chopped a bit) and a starter with mushrooms and egg.

Super cute decor but average food

By MooreVegasFood |

Went here for a birthday celebration and ordered quite a few dishes. It was OK. Also, the returner was dawn near empty and they wanted us to sit in an undesirable location when we had open table reservations. Anyway, we ended up sitting where we wanted and having a good waiter. We don’t be back but a good spot to try once.

SUSHISAMBA - Where Service, Flavor, and Hospitality Shine!

By Barbi B |

SUSHISAMBA delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The service was personable, attentive, and truly impressive. My specific allergy needs (celiac) were handled with genuine care and importance—not an inconvenience. Our server, Caroline, was knowledgeable and thoughtful. She made the entire experience seamless - guiding us through signature cocktails, sake, spirits, suggestions for main courses, and complimentary dessert options. We were especially appreciative when the General Manager, Phil You, stopped by and graciously shared a few complimentary dishes that were packed with incredible flavor. They paired beautifully with our main course selections. We left fully satisfied and genuinely grateful for the variety, creativity, and care throughout the evening. This restaurant was recommended to us by Diana R., a SUSHISAMBA employee whom we met on an airplane! I'm grateful that she shared with us, as it exceeded every expectation.

Lackluster No Flavor

By 45888888888 |

Lackluster. Food is lacking flavor. Had shrimp tempura roll and salmon avocado roll. Rice and seaweed wrap very chewy. Flavor fair. Coconut rice good. Kobe beef dumpling - no flavor. Fun music and comfortable booth seating. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Not sure what the fuss about the food is - fair at best. Expresso martini meh. Don’t think you will see the fancy samba dancers either - although they advertise like they are here always, truth is they only are here on new year’s. Skip this place.

TOURIST TRAP ... NOT a Japanese cuisine!

By World Traveler |

We arrived late and thankful for a table. However things quickly went downhill from there when the miso soup and appetizers came out last ! Miso soup can not be called real soup when it tasted a bit like miso but had a plasticy flavor ! The rice was dry and just a bit warm. The salmon was overcooked and too much salt. This was the WORST Japanese restaurant I had been too after 3 decades of visiting Japanese restaurants !!!!!!!

Best Cocktail in Las Vegas

Michele Guarneri is the TOP barman in Las Vegas! Very nice guy with a lot of experience Thanks for giving us a special dinner

Amazing food and staff! I highly recommend

By Kenya |

I went to Sushi Samba for my Birthday and the food was absolutely amazing, the staff was attentive, professional and the best. I was treated so well. I was so happy that I choose to dine there for my Birthday. The restaurant’s manager JR Hanh went above and beyond to make my birthday experience memorable and extraordinary. Thank you Sushi Samba and staff for an awesome birthday experience full of great food and great service.

Not for average people

By AU-KC |

We were looking for a quiet place in the hotel to have a chill evening of drinks. We found this place and loved the ambiance at the bar under the big tree. Unfortunately the service was terrible! The three bartenders were more interested in the young, hip, pretty people and “bros” than us. We waited while people who arrived after us were served. When they finally came we received a lukewarm reception. They were in no rush to take our order or make our drinks. Average people beware!

A delicious culinary experience!

By Felipe Q |

Excellent Service from all the staff!! From the girl who welcomed us, Jade, Chris, Star, Carlos and Fernanda the manager very attentive people and with an excellent attitude of Service! And the quality of the extraordinary products!!

Not that great

By fernandamdo |

If you are used to large food and alcohol portions, this is not your restaurant. I’m reviewing from my point of view and we (my husband and i) do not like large portions. We came here for our last dinner in Vegas. Every review talks about the architecture.. we found it really simple and a bit weird. The food fusion is rather unfortunate. There’s a sushi roll that everyone loves “el topo roll” which comes with melted mozzarella, a sweet sauce and some jalapeños... horrible. Sushi and Peruvian food together shouldn’t come together. The sashimi was fresh, the edamames plentiful, the service was amazing. We don’t like very sugary cocktails so we had the Japanese beer. Good choice. Not the best sushi restaurant, expensive and weird with awful decoration.

Enjoyable!

By Dale |

looking for some reasonable priced sushi in an over-priced place of The Grand Canal Shoppes. Stopped in for a couple of rolls, ended up adding a couple of veggie apps. Ashai Beer and BAM it was only $60.00! Food was great, server was swamped but the Manager stepped right in and took over our table and we had a very nice simple lunch at Sushisamba! Thank you!

Outstanding

By dreamteampr |

We came here inspired by the reviews and it did not disappoint. Explosive fusion of flavors, I highly recommended this place.

Modern sushi

By MDDdolphin |

Located on the second floor of the Palazzo hotel just off the entrance to the Canal Shops shared with the Venetian, SS is a modern version of your neighborhood sushi shop, with some additional Japanese and Peruvian flairThe interior is pleasing, but like most Strip restaurants, can be too loud for comfortable table conversation. Honestly, the sushi is the least interesting stuff on the menu. Several of the other shareable plates were much more creative and tasty. We thought the sea bass skewers were the best thing we had. The gyozas, ribeye, and taquitos were also very good. The Peruvian corn was new for us. Because we were a group of eight, we stuck with shareables which worked out well, with something for everyone and all left comfortably full. Service was not as attentive as we would have liked, although dishes came out at appropriate intervals.

Best experience!

By shannonlawson0428 |

JR and Sonny were amazing. They provided the best service and greatest experience for our bachelorette party. Made it so special for the bride, and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy.

Delicious

By Sharon B |

Samba strip roll is divine....maybe my favorite roll ever. The yellowtail taquitos are delicious, but tiny. You have to gird your loins for the prices, but for a special occasion it’s wonderful. Our server Mark was attentive but not intrusive. Marvelous dinner.

Loved!

By Pixie |

My friends and I enjoyed our lunch here at Sushisamba. Our waiter was very knowledgeable with their offerings and was able to provide information on their menu since we were not quite familiar with a few. We enjoyed our food as they were all tasty and fresh. First class experience and service!

1st Lunch Hour of the Day, Not a Good Time to Go

By Ms.LoveTravel |

I wanted to love this place. Since we were still on EST in Las Vegas we booked the first lunch they offered through OpenTable.com. It seemed as if they did not have their I'm at work groove worked out yet. Service, for 3 sushi chefs and 1/4 full was very slow. Expected Cocktail ( NEBUTA MERON - Sake, acai liqueur, house made vanilla simple syrup, serrano chili pepper, yuzu juice & muddled fresh watermelon) and guess what, no serrano in it at all and placed in a Martini Glass instead of a short. Had expected Las Vegas mixologists to be great and it was just okay so maybe best bartender works in the evening??? I think this may be happening place in the evening basing it on other reviews so maybe lunch is not the time to come? It is also notable to say that the overly priced $6 Miso soup is the same cup you will get at your local neighborhood family owned sushi stop with one cilantro leaf floating in it and two squares of Tofu. We tried the El Topo roll (salmon, jalapeño, shiso leaf, crispy onion, spicy mayonnaise, fresh melted mozzarella, eel sauce) was good but I would not get it again for the mozzarella lost it for me. The tables we ate off of could have been cleaner (a little to sticky feeling for me from some serious patronage in days past). Parking: Palazzo Casino & Resort on the Gallery level of shops

Great meal

By Stu C |

Went over for lunch yesterday after visiting the Sphere. Neat menu, with lots to choose from. We started with the Pao de Queijo, which was good. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Kobe Gyoza, and I my Antioccho Ribeye. Christin was our server and she was friendly, checked back to see how we were, and didn't autionc off the food. So far, the second best meal we had in Vegas. Well worth stoping by. Prices are high, but it's Vegas, so it is what it is.

Amazing!!

By Nicola |

Fantastic food, and excellent service that really went above and beyond. We were celebrating a family anniversary and staff really went the extra mile.

Sea Bass in Vegas.

By Keith N |

We were in town for just a few days. Went for their sushi (really good by the way), but went a second time for their sea bass skewers and coconut rice.

Quality assurance

By Elena SV-MI |

Being a chain there is a kind of quality assurance. Prices are predictably high but considering you are in one of the most famous casinos in the world it is not even at crazy levels. Very good plate of spicy prawns.

Good food

By WPLandry |

We are sushi lovers. While Sushisamba has some interesting and unique rolls, their menu is not very robust, so there are really only a few things to choose from. Everything was very fresh. Presentation was excellent. Time to receive food was surprisingly quick considering how crowded they were. The environment is LOUD. Cocktails are great. Overall, good experience, but not necessarily one of a kind.

Fantastic lunch spot

By MNRSF |

We were in the Palazzo shopping and wanted to find a place for lunch and we were excited to find Sushi Samba there! We used to live in NYC and this was a fun place to go back then, and we were happy to find that this location hit the mark on all fronts - fun decor, great service, and the food! We had the edamame, many different sushi rolls, sashimi, gyoza, and chicken teriyaki - all were fantastic. We left very happy!

Great experience. Almost perfect.

By sushishrink |

We went to grab a drink and ended up trying the sake flight. Omg we eat sushi and drink sake often but this was the best. They have the top shelf options which was great to experience. We sat at the bar and Josh served us. He was terrific. We had two rolls he recommended. The food was very good but we eat sushi a lot so we have had equivalent. But the ambience and sake were perfect. Great place to stop through.

A gem of a place!

By SynergyNavigates |

Our server did an excellent job with his recommendations and we ordered most of what he suggested. The service from our first interaction with the hostess throughout our meal there was attentive, warm and friendly. My husband tried the sake flight and it was very generous portions! The restaurant had a great vibe and a fun, relaxed ambience.

Amazing staff and delicious sushi!!

Thank you Erica and Sergio for a perfect lunch today! Appreciate your warm and upbeat reception along with the amazing sushi!! I’ll be back soon…maybe even tonight for dinner! Cheers!!

A taste of Japan, Peru, and Brazil!

By DreamsOfMyComrades |

Great fusion of Japanese, Peruvian, and Brazilian cuisines. The restaurant is a nightmare to locate, as the signage throughout the Venetian is nearly non-existent. Leave extra time to find it! The food itself is fabulous, especially the ANTICUCHOS. I'd highly recommend these unique skewers, especially the sea bass—although the ribeye and pork belly were mighty tasty, too. Service by a young woman named Beata was outstanding—friendly, efficient, and helpful. Prices are very high, but I guess considering the proximity to the Sphere, and the price of those tickets...well, it's to be expected. Nice atmosphere, but noisy.

Cool Ambiance, Food Alright

By bigfinklefan |

On the plus side: -Really slick atmosphere; a “happening place” -Friendly, knowledgable, and attentive staff -Tempura green beans are good On the minus side: -VERY stingy whiskey pour for the expensive price. Pretty laughable. -Sushi is okay, but not special -Overpriced for what you get When I spend a lot on dinner, I’m fine with it as long as I leave feeling it was worth it. Glad we tried it, but wouldn’t return.

We didn't have reservations so we sat at the sushi bar (couldn’t see the chefs very well). My wife’s drink was so strong we sent it back for a glass of wine (harder to screw up). Sea Bass so charred it tasted like the bottom of my bbq at home. Lobster roll (forget the name) had way too much garlic. Our waiter was not exactly rude but seemed impatient and not willing to help with the huge menu (i’m mad at myself for giving him 20 pct tip). By chance, a sweet, kind waitress (not serving us) overheard my wife and I discussing the menu and recommended the Tiger Maki roll, which was fantastic. Overall, very disappointing for the money and the venue.

Don't leave Vegas until you check out Sushisamba

By Jameson R |

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent staff. Their A5 Wagyu was an amazing experience and it was fun to cook it ourselves on the hot stones. Their sushi was delicious and I loved the mix of cultures in their menu.

Small portions, loud, but great service

By Cocodevillw |

The service was the best part here. Very nice and attentive staff. Food was good… nothing extraordinary and the portions were small for the very high prices. It’s also incredibly loud in there. Wouldn’t go back.

Exquisite lunch with family

By Daniel B |

I had lunch with wife and kids. The Moqueca plate and the Tapioca desert are amazing!!! Compared to other restaurants in the strip this was fairly priced. The kids menu offer real sushi and ramen for kids, not only the typical chicken strips, burgers and Mac&Cheese you get everywhere else. We arrived by noon and service was pretty quick too!

Great find, hope the construction is done

By cometexp |

We came here for an appetizer to check it out getting a Shrimp Tempura Roll and some Asahi's. The service is amazing and food is amazing! Prices very reasonable. Located in the very back of the Palazzo. I didn't love the construction and the noise carries.

Pretty Good.

By Lenny Belize |

Great service and presentation. Will likely go back. Will go with my own selections rather than the sushi chefs choices on the specials.

Pricey for less the grocery store sushi !

By Mike V |

Well I sat at the bar since I was alone. Sat there for a good 20 min and between the 5 bartenders! Even the guy standing directly in front of me like less then a foot I could not get a hi we will be with you in just a min nothing ! The one lady working is the only one who took care of me and she did a great job ! Food quality was very sub par for the price ! The tuna hand roll I ate had stringy tuna. I have had better quality at the grocery store sushi person ! Needless to say the one who worked right in front of me the whole night only spoke when it was time to collect my money! I would not go here ! Ever again

A Must For Foodies

We ate here last minute, without reservations, and able to sit at the Sushi bar. Food and service were excellent!

Nice Fusion Food

By Erez Z |

Nice Fusion food Japan meets Mexican. An interesting twist in flavor and style. I did the tasting menu with a few friends. At around $90 per head. The appetizers were nice. The steak was very good. Sushi was standard. Milk bread was amazing The custom Old Fashion was very good Service was nice and the atmosphere was good. Great option for a fusion food. There are some interesting items which i did not like at all. Overall a great choice to try but the place did not blow me away.

Unforgettable Culinary Experience at SUSHISAMBA in Las Vegas

By Cezar U |

During our trip to Las Vegas, my wife and I had the opportunity to dine at SUSHISAMBA, and it was an unforgettable culinary experience that combined exotic flavors, vibrant ambiance, and exceptional service. Environment and Decoration: The atmosphere at SUSHISAMBA is simply spectacular. The restaurant features vibrant, modern decor that reflects the unique fusion of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cultures. The colorful lights, contemporary artwork and lively music create a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere. We sat at a table overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, which added a special touch to our evening. Diversified Menu: The menu at SUSHISAMBA is a true celebration of the fusion of flavors. Offering a variety of dishes that combine ingredients and techniques from Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, each dish we tried was a delight. We started with some appetizers, including seasoned edamame and Peruvian ceviche, both prepared with freshness and attention to detail. High Quality Sushi: The sushi dishes were the highlight of our meal. We ordered a selection of nigiri, sashimi and specialty rolls, each more delicious than the last. The fish was incredibly fresh and the flavors were well balanced. The Samba Roll, in particular, was an explosion of flavors, combining salmon, mango and a touch of spicy sauce that harmonized perfectly. Hot Dishes and Robata: In addition to sushi, we also tried some hot dishes and items from the robata grill. The Wagyu Gyoza was meltingly delicious, and the robata-grilled chicken anticucho had a smoky, juicy flavor that we loved. Each dish showcased a careful combination of ingredients and cooking techniques, resulting in rich, memorable flavors. Creative Cocktails: The cocktails at SUSHISAMBA are as innovative as the food. We ordered some signature drinks like the Nina Fresa and the Samba Sour, which were refreshing and artistically presented. The drinks perfectly complemented our dishes and added an extra layer of pleasure to our dining experience. Exceptional Service: The service at SUSHISAMBA was impeccable. Our service team was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. They ensured that all of our needs were met and that our experience was perfect from start to finish. In summary: Our experience at SUSHISAMBA in Las Vegas was unforgettable. The combination of vibrant ambience, diverse menu, high-quality dishes and exceptional service made this dinner one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend anyone visiting Las Vegas to reserve a night to enjoy this unique culinary experience. SUSHISAMBA offers a delicious fusion of cultures that is truly a feast for the senses.

My favorite in LV.

We are never disappointed with our visits to Sushisamba. Excellent food ,impeccable service and a warm ambience.

DISCREET … ANDANTE …

By ErMatador |

As per the ironic title. Restaurant of a well-known chain, with dishes influenced by South American and Eastern cuisine. Let's say a fairly successful mix considering the context of Las Vegas and the location (Venetian/Palazzo). Let me start by saying that at peak times it is a real bedlam as the acoustics are terrible (I recommend the area of the large nearby counter) Distracted welcome. Service (in our case) friendly and quite attentive (even in terms of tips...) Fairly large menu of the usual most famous and popular dishes. Both meat and fish available. Prices are not trivial but not absurd either, let's say 70/80 dollars each plus drinks (given, as I repeat, the context, in any case the place is quite basic in my opinion) It is worth a visit, especially as it is very convenient if you are staying on site.

Wow - I can still taste it.

By LizWyatt80 |

This is a really nice restaurant with a really nice price tag! The food is well worth it though and the cocktails are lovely (and quite strong!). The wagu gyoza was a revelation - I could have eaten that all night. We tried loads of different things - we had a samba roll (the first one on the list with all different kinds of fish) which was just incredible, a beautiful sashimi which was a bit like a ceviche sashimi, we tried sea urchin (I hated it but my friend liked it - something of an acquired taste), we had a scallop, and a beautiful seabass skewer. I can still taste the food now and would definitely go back. MUST RESERVE A TABLE! They get super busy for dinner.

Best Sashimi ever.

By Jasper R |

We’ve eaten a lot of sushi in our time and the sashimi was probably the best we’ve had. And the first place ever where the Salmon sashimi was our favourite. The setting is nice although I would argue that the Heron Tower location makes a greater impact and the Covent Garden location is nicer. The staff were very accommodating! Also would recommend the pork skewers!

Great Dining for Starving Business Traveler

By DEeManding |

I was quickly seated at the sushi bar and received attentive service. The Ramen dish with pork belly so tasty I didn't leave a drop in the huge bowl. Sashimi was huge slices of three fish but, overall, portion was pricier than I am accustomed. I was most impressed with their variation of a spicey Margarita with a colorful and delicious Japanese 7 spice coating the edge of the glass. I will return on my next visit to LV.

Great Miso Soup!

By CdnTravellerYYC |

We ate here three times during our visit to Las Vegas. My daughter (10 yrs) loved their miso soup and rice. She had double helpings! And, she is a picky eater! The sushi rolls were really great. They even had natto rolls--usually hard to find. The beef gyoza were delicious. The first two visits, for lunch, were quiet and we walked right night. Our dinner visit necessitated a reservation. The lunch servers were lovely. The evening service was less great. We were not visited by our server after receiving the food. We had to search her down for more drinks. Green tea was hot and tasty! Bathrooms were dark...and maybe not the cleanest...or they didn't feel that clean. The bathroom attendant during dinner service was great, though. Overall, though, the food was very good, and we would visit again when we are in Las Vegas.

Good food concept. Service is quite attentive. Pricey for what you get.

By Waterloonie |

The concept is good here with the Japanese influence on the cuisine of Peru and Brazil. Food was good but not exceptional, especially for the price. Service is attentive but none of the wait staff seem very happy.

Exceptional as always

By John W |

One of my favorite restaurants. Staff is exceptional and only enhances the unique cocktails and superb and unique food selections.

Fantastic

By Rupe75 |

Just fantastic. The robata was great, sushi super fresh, and waiters really good. We went twice as it’s kids friendly and the food was fantastic.

Always a Perfect Late Night Stop

By TOURtheWORLDMexPal |

This place always packed, energetic, and loud. Perfect for groups and friends to get together. No matter what you order, you will be happy. The freshness (always), the taste (amusing), and the preparation (art) are always there. Their cocktails are good as well. I tried and I recommend the following: #1 Samba Trip roll #2 Asevichado #3 Sashimi Tiradito (taste of four) #4 Cafe Bom Bom (for chocolate and Hazelnut lovers)

Fabulous experience

By VegasKid49 |

Last Sunday (April 14, 2024) , my wife and I along with my son and grandson and my visiting brother and sister in law stopped by Sushisamba for dinner. We had a wonderful meal as well as fabulous service form Beata. The food was fresh and delicious. We all had sushi (King Crab) and the Teriyaki chicken bowl was fabulous. I would highly recommend this restaurant. .Also, I forgot my credit card on the table and did not noticed it until the following evening, I called and they had it. A definite credit to the people working there. THANK YOU. We will be back

Not 1 complaint. Everything we had was really good!

By tommychomper |

Everything we had was super good! Kobe dumplings were good. The filet was really good! The ramen also didnt disappoint! Will be back for sure.

Tasty food but disappointed in sushi.

By kerry G |

We visited here with friends and were sat at the sushi bar area. We all got sushi and some hot dishes. I got the calamari and it was nice but my avocado maki was so wet and unenjoyable which was a huge disappointment. My friend got a portion and she agreed too. The rice seemed overcooked and the avocado was very very ripe giving it absolutely no bite and not a nice consistency. The sushi being made at the bar all looked very impressive, maybe we chose the wrong thing? It also took quite a while to come as everything is made fresh right infront of you we didn't mind the wait. My husband got the beef skewers which he said were so tasty. The waiter was very attentive and kept us topped up with water which was good. Overall a nice experience.

Great food and Vibe

By Margaret G |

Visited with friends after just arriving in vegas. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful with going through the menu. Definitely recommend

Highly recommended

By Amy B |

Our server was so accommodating to us and recommended an off menu item that was vegan for me, and it was incredible

Great food choices for a group of 4 or more.

By Jillyn V |

Great food choices! I didn’t know what to expect by Brazilian & Sushi. I was so pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of choices for everyone in your group. Sushi & other choices are grilled that have lots of flavors. Best to split dishes with a group of 4 or more. Loud atmosphere, more of a fun spot before a show rather than a quiet or romantic dinner.

This trip was for our mother's birthday and we wanted to try new restaurants. I am so glad someone recommended Sushisamba!

By Chiquita M |

Excellent fusion experience! The Chilean seabass was incredible and the lamb Chops were also superb. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Really Good Sushi !

By Viktor U |

I are here during our last visit to Vegas. We managed to catch the food happy hours after the dinner rush. The happy hour menu was really good, we had an entire meal ordering from it. The food was delicious. Would definitely visit again.

We love this restaurant!

By Jewel |

Amazing sushi and the staff was great! My husband ate there daily while we were staying at the Palazzo and I joined him twice. We both just loved it all.

Great sushi fusion going on here - worth a visit especially if you love sushi

By MooshLA |

Used to frequent SushiSamba in NYC, London and Miami. Wish they were also in LA so I usually try to stop by when in Vegas. The fusion of Brazilian with Japanese flavors is a perfect match. My favorites are the El Topo and ASEVICHADO rolls. Amazing tastes. The drinks are great here as well. Service was so-so as it seemed to be a bit of a frenzy - we needed to remind our server of a few things each time but overall they finally clicked in once we got our food. The place gets packed so be sure to make a reservation otherwise you could be waiting for a table or even a spot at the bar. Lots of great options - especially if you love sushi.

Great vegan food

By Jem6 |

Delicious plant based food! Love that they have a vegan menu. Prompt service. Really glad we decided to have lunch here!

Best Sushi restaurant in Vegas

By cdemmitt |

We loved everything about this restaurant. Unfortunately, we went here our first night so every other dinner fell short compared to this place. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and amazing food (be prepared to spend $250.00 for a couple)

Incredible Service

By Nathan Wise |

What a fun and fantastic restaurant! The combination of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisine makes for a dynamic menu! They did an incredible job decorating the restaurant and the bathrooms are amazing! I also loved they had full bar with my favorite tequila. Everyone loved their cocktails and food. The others at my table ordered the Brisa Caliente cocktail and they loved it. I tried it and it was delicious. Our server, Jarret was amazing and he was assisted by Sylvia! They did an amazing job and provided us with an exceptional experience.

1st Japan-Peruvian dinning experience

By Monique |

Vibes: great ambience, dress semi casual ✨️ japan-peruvian. Service: quick and easy seating. Top tier service and great food. Food: 100% recommend the Asevichado samba rolls, also ordered Moqueca mista and Salmon sashimi seviche Drinks: Kanbara sake and Lychee cooler Desert: Citrus Brulee

looking forward to next outstanding meal

By DrEmT |

I must admit when I first read that SushiSamba was Japanese/Peruvian/Brazilian I was taken aback. But then it makes sense that both Brazil and Peru have large amounts of people of Japanese decent. Oh my, the food was excellent and just busting with flavor. We got a selection of 3 samba rolls, Wagu dumplings (cauld really savor the beef), clams (don't skip the sauce), gem lettuce salad (so refreshing), ceviche tacos (don't skip these), and the moqueca a seafood stew with coconut milk and palm oil with a green chimicuri rice. I have ordered moqueca many times in Brazil, but this was THE BEST. I'm sure I am missing something. Interesting cocktails, made me want to be on a beach. This was the finest meal I had in the 8 nights I stayed in the Las vega area. The wait staff was attentive and seemed to know just the right time to pop by our table. This was the finest meal I had in the 8 nights I stayed in the Las vega area. My compliments to the chef.

Way too loud

By ppts |

Have always enjoyed the excellent food and service. However, recently it appears whoever is the manager must getting deaf as the music is cranked up to heart-pounding headache- inducing volume. If I wanted to eat at a discotheque, I’ll go there but throw in the poor smoke filled poor ventilation, it makes for one poor dining experience. I needed aspirin for my headache for dessert.

Great spot if you fancy a small bit of sushi with a nice cocktail

By AndyM290670 |

My wife and I decided to have a small bite to eat whilst passing. Fortunately it was not busy and we were seated straight away. We did not want a lot and so sushi was perfect. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and gluten free options as I am a coeliac and provided GF soy sauce. Food and drinks served promptly in a very nice setting and everything was very well made. We would definitely return.

Good food

By LyndaB24 |

Food was good but not outstanding. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Cocktails very creative and yummy. Visually entertaining atmosphere. Prices reasonable.

A unique experience

By eljuezcubano |

I would have given this restaurant 4.5 stars except that the bar staff needs some training. Neither very hospitable or great at mixing drinks. However, the wait staff was great and attentive. The food is top notch and an interesting fusion of Japanese and Latin flavors. The portions are substantial. Try ordering family style.

Anniversary dinner

By DeeLynn K |

It was our 33rd wedding anniversary and of course we didn't think to book a reservation on a busy Friday night. When we asked for a table they told us it would be 2+ hours but the bar was open seating. We cruised the bar and it was full. We were about to leave when one of the waitress said there's another bar at the back and it has plenty of seating. The 2 bar tenders were amazing and we went with their recommendations and DAMN! So good. We started with the wagu dumplings and as for the rest I can't even tell you what we ate as we tried several things and it was all exceptional!
