Love the cheese steak hoagie (hahah... it comes with some vegetable compared to just philly cheese steak). The portion is big and they are generous with the topping. It is just so good that I will be tempted to drive 2 hours from NJ to come here again!

Very nice people and excellent food characterize this West Philadelphia eatery which conforms to all Islamic dietary laws.

This small restaurant is always crowded. They make great kabob, shawarma, felafel and other rolls. Yes, I have been to better middle-eastern restaurants (in California, Michigan and Houston) but in Philadelphia, this would among the best. I like the food quality. The prices are very affordable. The owner who is usually there in the back is extremely friendly - the way only middle-eastern can be. It is usually hard to find a sitting spot. The place is always filled with student and other health conscious folks. They are closed on Mondays as I remember. This is a must place to visit if you are looking for healthy low cal but tasty Labanese food - as they say "Prophets ate this food in the holy land"

Excellent taste I would recommend to trying their sandwich is taste and not fake food anytime work around there I stop to eat. Lamb kebab sandwich all of them I have trying.

This ethnic restaurant was great. It replaced my desire to eat Philly Steak and Sub sandwiches with Saads "maroush" sandwich which is not only tasty and appetizing, but also very healthy. Saad's is .y spot in Philly now.😊😆😁

We have been going to Saad's for several years now. Everything is excellent! They are very busy. It is very hard to get a parking spot in Philly, and this area is no exception. Our family travels two hours to get to Saad's. It's worth. It does get busy. Make sure your order is correct, and that they did not forget anything. That can happen. We love this place! No matter what you order, you will love it!

I liked the chicken Maroosh - it was everything that it was touted to be. I also tried their chicken wings with garlic sauce - this reminded me of the broasted chicken and toum combo we get back in the Middle East. I also had Orangina which was a drink I loved as a kid growing up in the Middle East. All in all, it was a good meal and brought back my childhood memories. I would love to come back and try their cheesteak and shawarmas.

We stop here to eat as a family at least once a month since we live 2 hours away, it has always been a great place to enjoy delicious and fattening food lol, of you're looking for flavor and freshness this is it, of you're watching calories look elsewhere! Chicken mahroush is spot on sandwich give it a shot and you won't regret it!

When we went there, it was closed for Friday prayers. People were already piling outside and when the owner came and opened the doors suddenly this small place was packed with regular patrons. The service was swift and food good value for money. The servings were huge, difficult for a single person to finish it. The food was rather bland. Only good item on the menu was the Manoush chicken sandwich.

Multi-year award winner for Best of Mediterranean cuisine, Best of Falafel, etc... this restaurant serves HUGE portions including to go. Highlights include Chicken Maroosh Hoagie, Shish Kabob platters, Falafel platter, and Veggie Combo platter.

I started to order chicken shawarma. The cashier suggested (after I asked for her recommendation) that I try the chicken maroush sandwich. what a great sandwich! It was well seasoned, juicy and delicious. The sauce was creamy & garlicky and I loved the sliced pickles on top! Will definitely be back!

This has to be one of the best sandwich places I have ever been too. I personally loved their Chicken Maroosh, while their Chicken Shish Tauk was also very good, while a definite third is their cheese steak. This is a relatively small space with cramped seating and the owner is very strict about not using cell phones. I kind of respect that, only because it gets people in and out. Every time we have been there it has always been very busy. This place is listed as selling Hallal food for all those interested.

Saad's is ALWAYS crowded, but it is worth the wait. The food is always good, the staff is always friendly, and you are always greeted with a smile and called by name. The place has gone through a lot of upgrades over the years, and is very cozy. Do not judge it from the outside. The food is excellent. My personal favorite is the Chicken Maroosh sandwich. They have this amazing garlic "sauce" which resembles mayo, with parsley but I haven't been able to duplicate it. It's fantastic. A must try if you're in West Philadelphia.

Saad serves delicious halal food, including a six piece $9 yummy Chicken Wings, and Beef Cheese Steaks. We used to order the Chicken with Briani rice, but not today. All and all, were very satisfied with how carefully prepared and well cooked everything was. The only cons was only one. It took quite significant amount of time. We waited for more than forty five minutes to get the food done. Maybe it was because just closed for half an hour break; so it was very crowded when the door was reopened, after the shorthand break

It's a really good resturant, especially if you looking for Halal foods or adabic cuisine. I will recommended it.

We were visiting Philly and lots of ppl told us about this place so went to try it... the food was sooooo fresh... staff was soo nice and service was amazing.. they had cartfull of supplies for take outs.... we will defi go back..

Be careful what you order here! You will get an absolutely massive amount of tasty food for your money! A meal is really two meals! Really nice people. Nice atmosphere. Nice clientele. Halal. Bit of a rough neighborhood, but nothing out of the ordinary.

This place serves a district demographic. If you are not part of that they go out of their way to demonstrate that you are not welcome. The staff are rude. The patrons are even ruder. Very difficult to get and keep a seat. If you go pick up your food and leave your seat it will be taken with no apology. We left very unhappy.

I will make this is one short: Saad's is good, fairly priced, and friendly. Forgot to mention It is very good. Saad's cleverly delivers that unique taste of the Middle Eastern food. You can't go wrong here.

This is a great place for cheesesteaks! So many things on the menu are also very good. It can get busy sometimes.

I was staying in the University City and went with a friend for having the cheesesteak there. Simple menu. Not so complicated menu. The cheesesteak tasted very good and it was a very fast service.

They made a mistake on my over-the-phone order! when I complained about that,Saad , the owner was annoyed and told me this is what you ordered take it or you need to wait for another 30 mins without even being apologetic about the mistake that his staff made just because they were busy on the lunchtime. The owner is also charging an extra fee for using a credit card which doesn`t seem a halal practice. Make sure to bring cash with you, plus, be aware that the restaurant smells are very strong that you will be like a walking sandwich after finishing your food. Very bad customer service!

Although the restaurant is quite small (5-6 tables and a few one-person chair-tables) and generally quite crowded, it is one of the best (if not the best) halal restaurant in Philly. Prices are not too cheap or too expensive. Platters are too much for a single person. You might even take one platter for two people. The restaurant serves for eat-in or take-out. They do not have delivery to houses. You can preorder via phone. It generally takes 15-30 mins for preparing whatever you order. In the rush hours, it can take up to 45 minutes though. I will make a small comparison of Saad's with its neighboring restaurants: 1) Manakeesh: This one is right across the road. The place is certainly much spacious and much better decorated. However, the food is relatively pricey and the taste is much better in Saad's. Yet, cleanliness of Manakkeesh is at least as good as Saad's. 2)Kaboobeesh: 2 blocks away to Saad's. These guys cook Desi food and grill. Taste of food is not even comparable to Saad's, in my opinion. The place did not give me the impression of cleanliness either. Also, I was not pleased with the staff too. I am not going to here after trying it twice anyways... 3)New York Gyro place: 2 blocks away. Place is not that large. The grill that they brought in two of our visits were overcooked (read burnt). Staff was not that much friendly too. I would not recommend. Go to Saad's instead, or maybe Manakeesh :) 4)Klimanjaroo: 3 blocks away. Place looks good. Food is good as well. However, it was not fitting my taste mainly because of the amount of oil that they use in the food and also the unfamiliar tastes of their cuisine. You might want to give this a try though. In short, here is my ordering of restaurants in this neighborhood: Saad's > Manakeesh >> Klimanjaro >>> New York Gyro >>> Kaboobeesh > means, better than >> means much better than >>> means much much much much better than etc. Hope you enjoy!

This restaurant gets very good reviews, unfortunately the sandwiches we ordered were not good. It seems that the tahini sauce was mixed with mayonnaise which took away from the zing it should provide. The falafel were flat needing more seasoning and the beef kofta might have been cooked the previous day as it was hard as a rock and lacked flavor. The restaurant is in a collage area and the students probably love it because it is inexpensive and the portions are large.

I looked up tripadvisor for halal restaurants in Philly and Saad's came up on top. So I took a cab here with 6 other friends. The place is located somewhere near the university district, outside of downtown area. From Marriott downtown hotel, the cab ride was abt USD25. Food is very nice but the portion is big so for an Asian woman like me, a cheese stick can easily fill 2 persons. Price is very reasonable. There is no such thing as making a reservation here, so you just come and walk in. The place has sitting area that could easily fit about 20pax. The adjacent areas is quiet and not brightly lit at night so getting a cab back to Marriott wasn't as easy as getting a cab to this place, which by the way is in Walnut street.

I've been to this establishment a few times now and the only time I was displeased was when they were closed for Ramadan. Otherwise, the food is excellent, always prepared fresh, a myriad of selections, and quite reasonable. Quite honestly, the only issues I have is the parking situation which can get a bit hectic due to the busy neighborhood and the limited seating. Otherwise, this is a must place to eat when you visit Philly!

Let me preface this review by saying that my husband is Muslim and I am not. I had also visited This was the second trip to Philadelphia that we had made together, and we were unable to get cheesesteaks on our first trip. In truth, I think that he had the idea to take a weekend getaway just for this sandwich. I didn't actually want to go to Saad's --- I wanted to visit the well know Pat's or Geno's after all. But, it was a long drive and the restaurants were roughly 20 minutes or so apart. I figured I'd just eat here with him to make things easier and make him happy. And it was phenomenal! I suppose I should have known that it was going to be good when we walked in and it was packed without a single open seat in the house. We ordered two cheesesteaks and an order of cheese fries to share. I had the good sense to order the garlic sauce as well since I had heard rave reviews. Our name was called after about 20 minutes. I looked at my sandwich and thought to myself "This is NOT a philly cheesesteak. This is a cheesesteak that was made in Philly." I had low expectations, especially when I noted the ketchup they'd drizzled over the top. But, it was MIND BLOWINGLY good. Delicious from start to finish! We absolutely loved it. Cheese fries were also on point, if not a little TOO cheesy if you can call that a problem. Garlic sauce lived up to the hype as well. I'm not even sad about Pat's and Geno's anymore nor do I have any desire to try them. Their sandwich may not be authentic, but it was perfect. On a return trip, I'd love to ask them to nix the ketchup and substitute the cheese sauce from their fries for something a little more like you'd get from the big names. But. even without the substitutions, it's fabulous. ALL their other offerings looked great also! The store couldn't be cleaner, and the people couldn't be nicer. Can't wait to return! Also, FYI, I noticed all the no cell phone signs, but everyone had a phone out. They may have enforced this rule in the past but it now seems like they've accepted that a cell phone ban is a war they can't win.

I haven't been here in a few years so since we were in town, my family and I decided to stop by and grab lunch. I remembered how much I liked the Chicken Shish Tawook Maroosh Way Sandwich. Due to COVID, they are only accepting take out orders so make sure to call ahead and they will prepare your food. They have cute tables outside where you can eat. I liked the sandwich but it's quite messy to eat so beware. The French fries were delicious though!

I came here 2 weeks ago, and had to come here again (2 hr drive) to satisfy my craving! The spices/tang of the sauce on the chicken maroosh is perfect and the cheesesteak is cooked to perfection. Top it off with the Turkish yogurt drink and aahhh.. Drawback is parking.

Go to the counter, say "hi" to Saad (he's usually there). Saad is an amazing fellow, friendly and warm toward *everyone.* If you go there more than a few times, and if you introduce yourself, he will likely remember you by name. I have been eating there for over two decades (maybe more), and it has *never* been a disappointment. The Greek Salad is the best around. The lamb shwarma sandwich or platter is wicked good. And the best item of all... the Chicken Marrush Sandwich!!! All four of my children, and my wife, absolutely LOVE this. It has to be one of their top three-ish favorite take-out dinners in the whole world. I like it a lot too, though the lamb shwarma is my own fav. (Beware that Saad closes for the month of Ramadan!)

Food tastes good and the menu is clearing showing most of the items with its description. The price is reasonable too. I just didnt like the seats and its tables.

This is well run efficient sandwich shop machine. I ordered the maroosh lamb sandwich. It was very fresh and filled me up. My wife ordered a grilled chicken salad and she loved it. The fries were good too. Also the hummos was fresh and tasted excellent. Prices are a little higher; however, the portions are huge! I definitely would recommend!

Chicken falafel changed my life. The sound of this sandwich didn't grab me at first. My daughter said I would love this sandwich so I had to give it a try. It was absolutely amazing. I don't live in Philly but now when I visit a trip to Saad's is a must!!

Everyone that visits Philadelphia must stop off at Saad’s. Best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. big portion, freshly prepared and absolutely delicious.

When in Philly, do not miss Saad's! Their shawarmas are amazingly delicious! Also grab some baklavas for dessert later! Cons: - parking can be an issue Pros: - Halal food - fingerlicking Shawarmas! - ample seating area

Chicken maroosh has got to be one of the best and freshest sandwiches I had in my life. There is so much more taste in it than can be explain, it's definitely worth a try. The place is always packed so it can take a while trying to find a seat and snatch it, there is no first come first serve for seats or someone from the restaurant aiding with seating people, so if you just happen to be lucky enough to stand close enough to a table as people are leaving and claim it before someone else does. Of course, it depends on the people also waiting on table and how polite they are about letting people waiting longer getting the next available table, that wasn't our experience.

We’d heard a lot about Saad’s and finally got around to going. Alas, we won’t rush back. The food was priced right, if you value large portion sizes; we had enough left over for supper at home the next night. But the food tasted just so-so. The chicken kabob chunks were large but dry. The rice was plentiful but bland. The tabouli was tasty, but the menu offers no real veggie side dishes. The potato salad was loaded with mayonnaise. For seating, you’re crammed into very tight chairs and tables, so it’s not a relaxing or easy-going meal.

Very delicious food and helpful staff. My favourite dish is sandwich with lamb. Reasonable prices, fast service.

Outstanding and friendly service! Good basic Middle Eastern fare. The tabuli is quite flavorful. Small tables, so watch the large groups.

Upon entering you have to walk to the front counter to order before finding a seat. The young woman at the counter offered a few good suggestions. We hadn’t been here before. We had chicken sandwiches. The food was very good. Definitely worth a try.

If you want authentic Middle-Eastern food made to order with fabulous ingredients, friendly staff and a casual atmosphere (it also is a take-out), this is your place! It was a delightful surprise, and be careful, the portions are HUGE!! More than enough for one meal if you get a platter of anything. The locals eat here, so you know it is good, as the locals ARE Mid-Eastern Muslims (they even close on Fridays for an hour for prayers). A great experience, we went back for more. Note: the baklava is the BEST ever!!!

The most expensive hoagie in town with not much of flavor. Service was also horrible. The guy's attitude was like do not ask questing otherwise you are cheap. 4 hoagies cost $50. Must be a joke. Stop supporting these unfair businesses who rip off people and make millions for themselves. Restaurant is dirty and old and crumbling. Not worth the price at all. Not to forget the trash infront of the restaurant full and smelly all the time. Where is the health dept.

My wife and I took a quick trip to Philadelphia on business and needed to find a good Halal restaurant. Did we ever find a gem!!! Saad's Halal Restaurant has an incredible menu and amazingly great prices at a high quality and generous amounts of food received. We had the Chicken Maroush and Beef Maroush with their excellent french fries. The following day before leaving Philadelphia, we could not help ourselves but to stop in for lunch. This time I had a famous Philly Cheesesteak again with their french fries. Delicious yet again... Did I mention I had their french fries? If I lived in Philly this would be a constant go to restaurant. Interesting note: This restaurant is one of the few which prohibits the use of cell phones. What better way to have the focus and attention on your significant other or family members... Not sure that policy would work anywhere else, but its impressive that there is no issue enforcing the rule.

I'm with all the folks calling this the best Hallal food in Philly. If you like Middle Eastern food, seek this place out. Everything we've tried here has been fresh and delicious. I love their sandwiches Maroosh way with the incredible garlic sauce, pickles, tomatoes, and served on crusty delicious baguettes. I had the kafta sandwich last night - yum! Sides of grape leaves and tabouley topped off the meal. So good! This is a small place, not fancy, and seating is limited, but the aroma when I walk in the door makes me forget about anything but the incredible meal I'm about to enjoy!

The lamb felafel, which is similar to a kebab, is great! It was a good lunch experience and the menu is not overpriced. It's a great option in West Philadelphia to enjoy Middle Eastern food. The portion size was also correct. Not too big, and not small either.

Doctors at chop recommended this place, we tried it and we will be back tomorrow, the owner was friendly and professional, the front counter staff were very nice and The food was AMAZING

Looking for some halal delicious food. Dont go anywhere else saad halal is the best place to go. I have eaten in this restaurant for more than two years and i never had a complain. The plates are delicious half a chicken , kofta, shawarma, philly steak and my favourite is chicken marroush. This sandwich is epic : some chicken with garlic sauce tomatoe onion and you can add some hotbsauce to it on a very large baguette it wil definitely make your day! I advice you also to try the chicken wings very delicious and large . And in case you had a small wings the owner wil give usually an additional one. This place is owned by a family usually you will find saad there a very kind and honest guy. I totally recommend thiscplace!

The food is great. You have a variety of halal dishes from American to Middle Eastern food. I love the cheese steaks and french fries. Also, the half of chickens platters and the bean pies!

Saad's is highly rated on trip advisor but we didn't find it to be an exceptional Arabian restaurant. We ordered a lamb platter, chicken platter and a sandwich. Prices are not cheap but portions are very large. 2 people can share one platter easily. The issue is that the flavour is so so. Meat is plentiful but tastes more like a stew, would be better charbroiled. Service isn't friendly, it's a ghetto vibe. I was new to the restaurant and asked what's popular and some details about the dishes and was told I'm supposed to know what I want and then I was shuffled aside for someone else to take my order whilst the rest of the queue was attended to. Such is the capitalist American machine I suppose. Not something you would ever see in Canada. Having had Arab food in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, U.K., Canada and beyond...this is a plentiful feast that is of average taste and lacking in service.

I had my grand-daughter with me and she only eats Halal meats and Saad has such a huge menu that we ate there twice during our 7 day visit to Philadelphia. The lamb is sooooo good and tender, the chicken was delicious and there are so many choices. Our table was full of the many dishes I just had to taste. I looked at other people's tables and ordered what they had too. It's a clean family oriented place, no smoking, no alcohol, no loud crazy music - just good food in a wholesome atmosphere that I plan to revisit.

This place offers excellent middle eastern and American food at excellent prices. I don't live in Philly but when I'm in the area ALWAYS make a point to stop by. On this visit e.g. I was driving from Virginia to NY but made sure to stop over at Saad. The cheese steaks are excellent. Food is fresh. Only criticism is that it is a bit under seasoned. Add some salt n pepper and you are good to go. The place is always crowded with ppl of all age and color.

The food is always amazing!! Halal atmosphere for families.. always a good vibe. The cheesesteak is so good… as well as the chicken wings… I had a sandwich as well but forgot the name lol also very good… my cousin had the fish hoagie and again very good!!! My favorite is the pistachio backlava definitely a must try if you visit

The place is quite small, and so there is no surprise to be always packed. As mentioned before, there are only a few tables, so they get taken quickly. The food is very good and relatively cheap. I strongly recommend the lamb.

I come from a city packed with Middle Eastern foods and a lot of trial and error in finding a great restaurant. Saad's was great, to put it shortly. Pros: -Good food quality -Restaurant was packed all the time (a sign of their great food) -Prices were OK, not cheap, not expensive -Service was OK Cons: -Small location -Philly steak was kind of strange with the default toppings. There were better Philly steaks in the area undoubtedly. -Long wait time, but this is also a Pro because they're always packed. 8.5/10 would try again, probably a different menu item.

This restaurant has found a great way of combining a Philly classic (the hoagie) with Middle Eastern food, via the amazing chicken maroush sandwich. There's chicken, creamy garlic sauce, pickles, and more all on a hoagie roll. The combo can sound weird but the taste is heavenly. Also excellent: the baba ganoush, falafel, baklava...okay basically everything I've tried here has been good! As for my "sandwich nazi" comment, that's referring to the strict no cell phones policy and other rules listed on a sign as soon as you walk in.

OK so my parents had the chicken maroosh, but i kept it simple with a cheese steak. it was the best cheese steak i ever had, hands down.

I used to come here every often. I really loved this place. They have some tasty shawarma sandwiches and falafel. Even the cheesesteak they have tastes good. Saad is also a good guy, very kind and always called me by my name (I was a regular customer there).

If you are in Philadelphia and wanted to try something new go to Saad's halal restaurant All i have to say that Saad Restaurant is the best. They have best Philly Cheese Steak, Chicken Maroosh, cheese fries, chicken wings, shawarma, and many more. The place is very good. This is not exactly the sit down restaurant but you will get good food. Seating is limited though. If you go on weekend, you will not get seat, but service is good. They are always happy to welcome you. Would love to visit this restaurant again and again. I highly recommend this place.

Discovered this gem with my parents when we were hunting for good Middle Eastern food in Philly. The same guy is almost always working and he is amazingly friendly and sweet. The food is delicious to say the least and big portions. I always get the chicken sandwich with a spicy garlic sauce, too die for. Very reasonable as well. All in all, great choice for a quick lunch or dinner with friends or family!

I love to try different steak and cheese shops when in Philly. I was visiting with family and they suggested this place. It was COVID so could only order take out. It was really hard to get them on the phone to place an order. Took almost an hour just to get through. Staff was friendly accept the lady letting people in. But thats another story. Go for the cheesesteaks.

Very delicious food. So fresh . But sometimes you have to wait for a while. Sometimes I think maybe they need lil more employees so people dont have to wait to long.

Very unprofessional and the food is not that great. Called to notify them of a mistake in the order, for no reason the person on the phone who I think is the owner, started yelling and cursing on the phone. I was shocked .. That aside, the food was not that great at all .. Especially the lamb shawarma was very disappointing.

Really great middle eastern food at a reasonable price. fast service and really nice folks. it is close to many U Penn areas and has great hours.

Fond memories of lunch at Saad's.

The worst food experience I've ever had. I typically go out to eat 4 or 5 times a week, so this really was far below anything I've ever eaten. I went around 8 o'clock on a weeknight. No one was in the restaurant. I ordered a chicken bersnaki. Waited for 20 minutes for my food. I watched them microwave my food in the back, taking it out, and mixing it up, and putting it back in again. I took the food home and the rice was dry and stale, the chicken was horrid, oil-soaked, and cold. Don't go here.

I came here last week with my friend who grew up in Palestine and we both loved the food! He got the lamb plate and I got the lamb shawarma and both were really, really good (and super filling). We also got baklava and it was quite good as well. The food is cheap, portions are huge, and food is delicious, so you really can't go wrong here.

We went here on a recommendation from a friend, and we were delighted! The food was delicious, and there were many choices. The prices were low, and we left stuffed and with leftovers. We will definitely go again! This is one place we saved in our GPS!

Located Saad's online and after reading great reviews about their food me and my family wanted to try. Their lamb Sharwama was out of this world!!!!! They give you lots of food too and its very affordable. In case you're wondering what a Sharwama is, it's like a gyro. They have lots of food choices too including vegetarian meals.

I don't even know if there are words to describe how amazing this place is! They serve authentic Middle-Eastern food that is mega clean, great quality ingredients, HUGE portions, super tasty and innovative :) A bit pricey but oh so worth it. It's the best halal place I've been to in the US and highly doubt that anyone could beat it! Every time we go to Philadelphia we HAVE to buy food from there, our favorite are the lamb shawarma although my husband doesn't even like lamb! That's how good they are :) Note: They close for an hour on Friday for the Jumu'a prayer, so if you go and they're closed, just wait a while and they'll be open again.

We were really looking forward to try the cheesesteak at Saads, so we went over the first night we arrived in Philly. When we got there we found it quite busy (which is usually a good sign), when it was time to order we were told everything was available except for the cheesesteaks. The owner said they didn't have a grill man so they couldn't prepare the cheesesteaks. No problem, we decided to go for the chicken maroosh since we'd also heard a lot about that sandwich. It did not disappoint! The chicken was seasoned well and the sauce was just right. The bread was not too tough, tasted delightful. We came back the next day for cheesesteaks but, once again, we were told they were not available. After talking to the owner and explaining that we were from very far away and that we only had one more day in Philly, he decided to go back and make them himself! We did have to wait 45 minutes for our food. They were totally worth the wait. I much prefer to wait for fresh food to be made than accept stale food. Excellent food and exceptional customer service.

The food at Saad's is incredible; one of the best halal places to indulge in across the country! I had the chicken maroosh and it was outright spectacular! I also tried the philly cheese steak which was nothing less of magnificent on its own either. Definitely try Saad's if you're in philly and you're looking for a mouthwatering halal place to indulge in! I would highly recommend getting the chicken maroosh and/or the philly cheese steak from Saad's, and I hope your visit is as stellar as mine was!

I buy their chicken maroush on a regular basis. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is great. The white sauce is tasty but I find that a little too fatty so I ask for light. The lamb and falafel sandwiches are also very good

Best halal food in town. The chicken maroush is the best. Try their baklava and cheese steaks if you’re feeling basic. They won’t disappoint. Customer service is top notch. Always a good vibe here. Seating can get crowded but it’s best to just do take out in that case. Food is so good that it’ll make you want to keep coming back.

Stopped in with wife and kids and this place was busy. Well-prepared food and halal for those with dietary restrictions. Philly Cheesesteak was beyond expectations and worth the visit. Only downside was that there weren't enough seats even though there was seating for 25 inside.

Good halal food, quick and reasonable. Courteous and professional staff offering a plethora of American and otherwise halal options. Cons: parking, seating during peak hours and cash only.

Saad's is a great Halal restaurant and anyone looking for an ethnic meal with plenty of flavor and huge portions will love Saad's. My family has been going here for years and they have never disappointed us, nor have they every forgotten our faces. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and uniquely flavored. Here's what you should know before going: 1. The cucumber sauce they serve with the wings is amazing you should ask for extra before you even taste it, because you will get home and be upset you do not have more. Once I saved wings a whole day so I could go back for more sauce. 2. No cell phone use in the restaurant. I use to hate this rule but it actual allows them to serve all the customers better. They will ask you to take your call outside. 3. One of the best fish hoagies in the city. Hope this review is helpful. If you are not an adventurous eater there are other options on the menu that are safer choices for those with blander palettes.

I had a chance to eat here with friends in November, what a great place, I would say, best and most affordable halal food in east coast. One can get local food, but halal - great treat for all.. The environment is very good and clean... Highly recommended to everyone...

Good halal restaurant in Philadelphia, I have enjoyed the chicken maroosh. Mobile Phone using isn't recommended.

visiting America from the UK we were excited when we found a place that offered halal Philly cheesesteak Naturally we were a bit sceptical that it would just be a shawarma sandwich, considering that it seemed to be a middle eastern style restaurant Howver all 3 of us were blown away by the taste of Saads Philly Cheeseteak and would definitely recommend it. Nothing like anything we have tried before

clean and delicious food. I think that they are basically quite serious about 'cleanliness' is what really makes their food fully halal.. most of the time, you see 'halal' written in front of other restaurants, but no attention is paid to cleanliness. Different from those places with fake halal claims, Saad is very serious about cleanliness..Also, friendly staff..

My family and I often visit Saad's Halal restaurant. The food is always fresh, and the portions are more than enough. I always feel welcome, and receive great customer service.

We have been dining here for years and this remains one of our favorites in Philly. Friendly staff, good service, and a nice atmosphere made better by their "no cell phone" policy. My wife and daughter usually order the chicken maroush and I usually experiment with the different menu items. Centrally located, in a decent neighborhood, i recommend everyone try this place.

Good place. Recommend. Always full of people. Prices are good. Tasty food. We did not manage to eat even a half of food we order.

Visiting family in Philly and wanted to try a halal Philly Cheesesteak. Had some In The Uk with varied quality. Saad’s is way way ahead. Big, juicy, very very tasty. Reasonably priced, staff are lovely. Place is set up like a diner and kept very very clean. We are here a few times during our trip, tried others but had to come back. Eat j. And takeaway service is good. My recommendations. Cheesesteak with mushrooms, kofta hoagie. Had a chat with Saad, nice guy. Looked after us.

My husband and I ate here recently with a recommendation from a friend so we tried it out and I enjoyed it quite a bit! I had the chicken wrap that comes with lettuce, tomatoes and their garlic sauce, it was delicious :) The first thing you do when you walk in is order, then they call your name when your food is ready and then it's time to sit down and enjoy! I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Mediterranean food and is in the area.

Arrived on a Monday around 8:00 and Saad's was BUSY! Possibly more so than usual due to the end of Ramadan celebration. Lamb shawarma sandwich and chicken shush tawook platter were very filling and tasty, two of us did not come close to finishing, so plenty of leftovers. Couldn't pass up the kataef for dessert- as good as any I've had. Try the basil seed and pineapple beverage, too. Staff were all wonderful! Hope to visit again soon.

Had the best Cheesesteak in the area had to wait but it was worth it Big portions of food and fresh Maroush sandwich was really good Good Family atmosphere

We ordered Chicken Kabob and lamb Shawarma plates. Although the Kabob was not Kabob and the shawarma was not shawarma, but both were tasty. The Kabob is grilled, this was cooked. Shawarma is a slo a vertically grilled meat, this was cooked lamb, very tender and tasty. Quantities were huge and price reasonable. Customer service was excellent. We also ordered Falafel Plate and Falafel Sanwitch, both were tasty.

Visited here on a random Friday while visiting my sister. She recommended the chicken marroosh! We ordered the sandwich and fries to split! The portion was perfect for sharing and the taste...YUM! A must go place for delicious ethnic food!
Very good Philly Cheese Steak
We were recommended to this place by the Malaysian Ambassador to USA who frequented this place when he did his Phd here at Philadelphia University.I had the famous Philly Cheese Steak and my wife took more Arabic Kebab. Both were tasty and it was worth the trip here.Parking was a bit difficult but Saad the owner told us to Park at the loading bay because according to him he was the only using it. Sitting was limited and a bit crowded due to popularity of their food.We would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy their delicious food especially the Philly Cheese Steak. The bonus is that it is Halal.
