So good we went back!

By Natalie F |

We flew in and out of Philadelphia from the UK and visited Sabrina's when we arrived and it was so good we went back before we left the US again. Pancakes were lovely and although cheesecake wasn't on the lunch menu great serving staff found me Snickers cheesecake which was excellent.

Yummy food with a healthy theme

By Betsy D |

Got off the plane today and needed breakfast. Found great reviews of this place and so my husband and I tried it. The parking is street parking, but so worth it. The food was amazing and the coffee strong. Highly recommend to anyone!!

Neighborhood Eatery Serves

By wanderlustlife |

I originally ate at the original South Philly locale for years, until they established another spot on Callowhill Street, however I recently discovered the Powelton restaurant and preferred this environment in a restored home. We had tickets to a concert at the Mann Center and were running late, We needed a quick meal and shared our rush with our server, who made recommendations about quick turn around choices. My friend has a veg burger, that he didn't really like much, but I was pleased with my shrimp taco order. Convenient to University City, University of Penn and Drexel.

Not all it's cracked up to be

By PennyPinchingTraveler |

I got regular French toast, in which the slices of bread were obnoxiously thick. Boyfriend got the pancakes and a side of sausage...which only comes as links, it was delicious tho. The pancakes weren't too impressive. Their menu was insanely limited and barely had any breakfast options. The options were more towards vegan/vegetarian. It wasn't bad, but the hype of it, was a real let down. Also, there is no where close to it for parking and forget trying to find street parking.

Nice restaurant in a delightful neighborhood

By Brigidanne F |

Such a gem in a delightful neighborhood, even if it is full of College Students. Nice atmosphere and fresh menu selections. Highly recommend esp. for breakfast.

Game of Thrones Brunch

By luv2trvl09NY |

Sabrina's Cafe is housed in an old Victorian in University city. The restaurant is bright and spacious with a casual ambiance. When we went for brunch, they featured a Game of Thrones Menu called a Feast of Thrones. The selection was quite extensive and catered to varying dietary preferences. My husband ordered "Cersei's Iron Fleet Special", a croissant stuffed with bacon, eggs, cheese and mesclun salad with a side of home fries while I had "John Snow's Resurrected Pancakes" consisting of buttermilk pancakes stuffed and topped with berries and marshmallows. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the berries were a great accompaniment to it. I had a few bites of the stuffed croissant and loved it. Grilling the croissant made it crunchy on the outside and still moist and light on the inside. The salad was fresh and the bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. Both were huge that we only ate half the serving. Overall, we enjoyed our brunch and we plan to return to Sabrina's Cafe when we visit Philly again.

Good food, huge portions, great value - near Drexel U. north of Market St.

By pachachuck |

This is one of 3 Sabrina's in town and we love all of them. All have the same menu and they serve Brunch all day. This one is on the corner at 34th and Powelton St. and in the same building as a student center. Lots of Drexel students with a mix of everyone else. We've been a couple of times and easily found street parking! If you can, ask for a seat on the porch. It's more interesting than the inside rooms and the light and street view are nice. Just had lunch there again and always have a good meal. The portions are huge, so if you're a small eater feel free to split them. They split our caesar salad (fresh and with tomatoes, which I like). One of us had an omelette which was cooked just right and the potatoes were crisp and tasty. My burrito was jammed packed with goodies and so large that I took 1/2 home (for lunch tomorrow!). Weekends are very busy, especially Brunch. If you have to wait, there are several rooms upstairs -Cool! <grin>- and they'll come get you when your table is ready. (I'd suggest going during the week.)

A must for breakfast or brunch

By Steve L |

This was a most enjoyable restaurant. Famous for the stuffed french toast (next time) our selections were delicious. The huevos rancheros with blue corn tortillas, chorizo, eggs, chiles inc jalapeño and avocado topping was simply great. The mexi scramble with pesto was also worth the try. It also includes black bean grits which is unique and flavorful. I am not a grits person but I sampled several times "borrowing" from friend's plate. Apparently named after the owner's daughter, it does them all proud. Definitely go and go there hungry

IT IS A TIE!

By IamCrystalSaidThat |

There is a tie between this Sabrina's and the one on Callowhill! The food is always excellent! I am a sucker for the BLACK BEAN GRITS! I am an ADDICT for them! K usually get the Vegan Tofu Scramble....however, the FRENCH TOAST IS A SIN! #dontbeasinner! It has the most eclectic flavor and presentation! I always get the hot tea, and their flavors are wonderful! There is NO other restaurant that makes SCRAPPLE better‼

amazing BRUNCH!!!!

amazing food and service!!!!!!! You must go, whether Drexel or UPenn enjoy with your family or friends... or anyone

Busy but Worth It!

By Aaron M |

City-wide celebration for St Paddy's meant this place was more packed than usual. Our 20 minute wait at 2:30pm was completely worth it, though. We each had the Challah Stuffed French Toast -- I had the seasonal St Paddy version with a ton of different fruits and jams, and the wife had the regular with syrup. Both were fantastic! We could barely finish them off and our mouths still wanted more. This Powelton location is in the middle of Drexel college-kid townhomes and can be tough to find parking. We ended up paying at the kiosk ($2 for 2 hours) at the corner on 32nd and just walked straight across. Much easier than the hectic parking game. P. S only needed 65 minutes, even with the walking and waiting.

Cute brunch place!

By Emily M |

We enjoyed our visit to Sabrina's, however the brunch menu was not as diverse as I was hoping for. We found the menu difficult to navigate at times. However, our food was very good. Our portions were large, and we loved the breakfast potatoes, cooked with onions. Parking at this location was challenging.

Creative, Noisy, Fun

By sjlufi |

The food was fantastic - interesting, creative, and delicious. Very generous portions and excellent pricing. Can be very busy but doesn't take reservations, so make sure you go early or have time to wait.

Best breakfast in Philly

By Anupam S |

Its amazing. The little building with its exterior looks like those cute restaurants in Disney parks. There is some wait time, but the food is totally worth it. They have this good lounge upstairs. The lounge has comfortable seating, sofas, window side views, Foosball table, and a Pool table. Totally loved it. They have great menu with so many breakfast options. I tried a type of omelette and Pan cakes (shorter tower). They also served fried potatoes and multi grain toast on side. I liked it better than than the iHop for $20 + tips. Had stomach full :)

Lovely lunch over Christmas break

By JMDinNJ |

My husband, two kids and i enjoyed a relaxing lunch here during a holiday visit to Philadelphia. We easily found parking nearby (big plus), walked in, and were seated right away. The menu was small but comprehensive and included salads, soups and sandwiches. My daughter ordered chicken tenders and fries off the kids menu, and the tenders were obviously homemade from tender white meat. My son had a hamburger which he finished. My husband's choice was Mel's chicken cutlet sandwich which he loved. I had the cali-turkey sandwich which was delicious. Overall it was a very pleasant and tasty experience.

Quality Food in University City....

By pinaylady65 |

Every dish that we had here was delicious! From the Huevos Rancheros to the humongous Stuffed French Toast and to the Blue Cheese and Bacon Fritata. There are several window tables that look out to 34th street and Powelton. Definitely a must to visit whenever you are in the area. Portions here are big, so make sure you bring your appetite over.

Awesiome breakfast!

By Richard R |

We went for breakfast and everything was very good. Bring your appetite because they serve good size meals. The service was very good.

Filling breakfast

By Harvey H |

Enjoyed a breakfast with the family. We all had portions that we could not finish. The service was great and took care of the whole party. We ordered a variety of meals and they all came out on time and tasted great.

Special Anniversary? Go else where. Wanna eat? Go here!

By jcl08 |

If you are hungry, want good food, want excellent service, want reasonable prices, want a varies menu, etc??? Then go here. Near Drexel. Street parking usually available. They always seem busy so reservations not a bad idea. Go. Eat. Pay. Leave happy.

Delicious breakfast (all day!)

By Jceh1 |

Stopped in because their site said they served breakfast all day. Food was delicious, portions huge and well priced. Atmosphere in an old and architecturally interesting building in the Drexel University area was bright and cheery. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely atmosphere and great food

By alostyankee |

Finally ate here while visiting our son at Drexel. Nice old Victorian building. We had brunch and we all enjoyed our meals. We mostly ordered from the Halloween specials though one had the mexi scramble and another the pulled pork sandwich. Absolutely no complaints.

A+

By ilovenygiants |

It’s on the corner of 34th & Powelton St. My husband took me there for my Birthday. We both have never been before, but a friend recommended it. I ordered the chicken & waffles side of cheese grits the food was delicious. The prices are reasonable , our server Lila was great.

Great food- Service was less than stellar

By d_een519 |

Apparently Sabrina's is notorious for their wait times, and our visit proved that to be true. I don't mind waiting for a seat at peak times, when the dining area is clearly full, and servers are running around hustling. However. When it is just myself and one other person, first thing in the morning, the dining area is half empty, and there is just one couple ahead of us waiting, I have a problem with being told to wait 20 minutes by a snobby hostess. We opted to wait, while we did we watched as she told several other potential patrons arbitrary wait times varying from 5-35 minutes for the next table. Some waited, many turned around and left. We patiently waited, until a party of 4 walked in and was seated immediately. Then a party of 3, shortly after a party of 5. At this point I was becoming irritated as I stared at 5 empty tables and the host laid her body lazily across the host stand. Finally after a half an hour of staring at other people in larger parties being seated before us, we finally got a table. The food was good, very fresh, but nothing spectacular, certainly much less enjoyable after much frustration and hunger pains. Not worth the wait or snobby staff!

Friday before the 4th brunch

By Kathy Fields |

It was busy but only a 10 minute wait. My dds had French toast which were huge and deli loud. I had a great omelet with gf sourdough bread and fruit. A great place to people watch!

Unique building with a unique menu

By gmonterastelli |

Great spot for a Sunday morning breakfast. The menu is very unique with something for all tastes. I had a great breakfast burrito, but would work my way around the menu on another visit.

Great Menu - Comfortable Neighborhood Atmosphere

By Tom G |

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at Sabrina's. The menu is great, the food is excellent and the portions are generous. We enjoyed being able to eat out on the enclosed porch and watch the activity of the neighborhood. Our server was attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

BYOB but Worth It!

By mpriff |

Maybe the best dining value in Philly. Everything was nicely & creatively prepared from fresh ingredients & everyone in our group of 6 loved it. No reservations, BYOB, & I'd still be a regular if I was anywhere near bye.

Yum!

By Beverly M |

I've been to 3 different Sabrina's locations. None have disappointed! Lots of menu choices, vegan, vegetarian, and carnivore included. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Portions are generous. Prices are good. The 34th St cafe is in an historic stone home. Parking can be difficult but keep looking, it will be worth it. The Callowhill shop is smaller. Again, you're parking in Philly. The Collingswood, NJ location has lots of public parking behind the rows of shops. Go with a healthy appetite. You may still leave with a doggie bag.

Wonderful brunch walkable to Penn

By Ortho3311 |

What a lovely find! Had brunch here on a rainy Saturday while visiting my son who is a first year at Penn. Food and service were awesome. Huge portions. My son loved his chicken and waffles. I had a traditional egg breakfast and my husband had the chicken salad sandwich. The team members are all well trained to deliver excellent customer service. Looking forward to many more lovely meals there!

We had avery nice lunch here though our grandson had breakfast

By tank1050 |

We had a real nice lunch here, while our grandson, a Drexel student, decided he preferred to have breakfast. The service was very good and the people were friendly. I like how bright and airy the place is. The food came quickly and was tasty. The great drawback to this place is parking. Because of its location actually adjacent to the Drexel campus, everything is street parking and the students have it all taken up. The food is a bit high and there isn't a real large variety, but you should find something that appeals to you

BRUNCH WAS INVENTED FOR THIS PLACE

By HijodeErnesto |

Hey, you say, Powelton Village, and you are from Philly, and you think 1970's M.O.V.E. standoff and all sorts of bad things. Now, having visited Sabrina's, my mind thinks about Challah French Toast, great coffee and leftovers from everyone else's meal(s). Men's minds CAN evolve! Okay, graduation at UPENN meant lots of traffic and people. A friend's family invited us to Sabrina's to top off a hungry morning, and I took the invite as a bit of a joke. Powelton? Water Cannons? I remember the 70's. But no -- things have changed! Sabrina's is a very quaint restaurant tucked into what looks like an old house/castle on the corner of like 34 & Powelton. It is the only restaurant there. As I entered and smelled all of the flavors of brunch, I liked it immediately. When a table for 7 was accommodated nicely, I fell in love. This place has the greatest stuffed Challah French toast ever. My young swimming buddy called it a day after eating half of his portion because his belly was full! Mine was not, so I tasted the omelet, the potatoes and other such fun stuff off the plates of others -- I mooched food. Top this off with some very fine coffee, and a price tag that was imminently manageable, and you have yourself a hidden urban treasure. Go, enjoy, pass it on. Pleasure is better when shared.

Great breakfast nook!

By Luisa T |

Very nice restaurant adjacent to Drexel University, near Penn, and 30th Street station so excellent location. Very good vegetarian options along with traditional breakfast offerings. Very friendly staff, fast service, and reasonable prices. Really enjoyable breakfast spot.

Over rated

By Mohannad L |

The food was about average, tried stuffed French toast and an omelette. We went for breakfast, I did not like the coffee at all. For me, coffee is the most important part of breakfast. Service was at or below average. Place was not full when we went there, but was busy. Atmosphere is excellent.

Philly trip

By Bob R |

Nice place to eat, quantity and quality of food good. Service was good as well. The breakfast burritos are really good but big. Great potatoes!

Great Stuffed French Toast

By Pam K |

Nice location in an old Victorian house near Drexel University. It's a pretty place with lots of character. The dining area is small and a bit cramped. My table was wobbly and I ended up with quite a bit of my coffee on the table since it was so tipsy. All of the food was very good and they give very generous portions. The stuffed French Toast was excellent but slightly dry. A small side of syrup would have been nice. Good food, nice ambiance, good but busy waiters, so expect a roomful of people and possibly a wait for a table.

Nicely available for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

By Ben050938 |

We were exhausted after a long trip by train to Philadelphia, and found this restaurant nicely close to our B& B. The service was excellent and welcoming. There was a menu with a lot of appetizers for dinner, but only two dinner selections. However, many of the appetizers were ample as a dinner in themselves. I had the steamed mussels which were outstanding! We will enjoy coming back. Be aware that at this point there is no wine or beer or hard liquor available. (appropriate for a cafe virtually in a campus setting)

excellent breakfast

By simnznc06 |

had an excellent breakfast experience. food was diverse and menu offered many choices. Service was very good and we got our meal in a reasonable amount of time. recommend

A great place for breakfast

By Aleks S |

I ordered avocado toasts with poached eggs - one of the best breakfasts ever. Plus for an exceptional location in the old Philly-style villa. I highly recommend this place!

Cured a brunch craving

By Erin S |

While it may be a bit of a wait on the weekends, Sabrinas has amazing food and is super accommodating to large groups. I had pancakes with a bunch of fruit added in, just like my mama makes them 😊

Great visit!

By myey |

We checked out this place since it was close to my hotel. It was wonderful. We took to go orders which was ready by the time we picked up. Staff was great and orders correct. The food was great! I had the egg sandwich one day and French toast the next. Large portions which are large enough to share. The French toast was the best I've ever eaten. It was amazing! I highly recommend!!

Kid-friendly and great food.

By hopeful123 |

If you are in the Philadelphia area this is a place you must go. It is a great spot for those with children. Also stroller accessible. Great food. Very satisfied. Now on my favorites list.

Big Portions, Great Food!

By Heather Crowley |

Sabrina's is the perfect place for a weekend brunch. I went with my friends and it's in house setting is nice for conversation. I got an omelette, which was ginormous but delicious! The plate also came with toast and home fries. Talk about overload of amazingness. Everything was very tasty and satisfying. I also eyeballed some of the stuffed french toast going by and it looked divine. This is a place where you will be taking some home afterwards. I took my toast home with me. We ate around 10 a.m. and I was full until dinner at 6/7ish. And that's after walking around Philly all day. Prepare yourself for food! We didn't have to wait when we arrived, but when we were heading out there was a 20 minute wait. Getting there early seems key. Great place!

Late lunch

By Greg R |

Pleasantly surprised- diverse- was visiting Drexel and came here from a recommendation. Wait service was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Menu had a lot to offer - many vegetarian plates but also burgers look good. Nice atmosphere a little tight on seating space. Would certainly try this place again.

Food good, service not so good, and very noisy.

By Traveler |

This was a work breakfast at Sabrina's. All of our egg dishes were delicious. When we arrived there were very few customers, but we waited a long time to order and finally had to ask for someone to please take our order. As the restaurant filled the noise level was very intense. So, if you don't care how long you wait or care about yelling above the noise- I recommend it for the food.

Best Brunch Ever

By SheriBobLove2Travel |

We ate here before a basketball game. Only has on street parking, it is in the Drexel area and actually part of the campus. This restaurant is in an old house with great bones. The menu is diverse, we were there for breakfast. The French toast is the best that I ever had. They do have call ahead seating. The entire family from a 50 YO to a 5 YO enjoyed their meal. The service was a bit slow but we enjoyed the service. Would def go again.

Great breakfast

By JGeigel |

Walked here from The Study @ University City hotel. Seated promptly and drink orders taken immediately. Extensive menu. I ordered the egg white, turkey bacon frittata. Beware - it is huge! Delicious, but I couldn't finish it. We'd visit again.

Big Portions + Good Prices = Great Value

By Filmprof |

Needed a place to grab some breakfast while in Philly on a Saturday morning. I found Sabrina's mentioned on Tripadvisor and other sites, about a mile from my hotel, but was a little worried about the possibility of lines or long waits. However, I was seated immediately and with the speed of the service and table turn-over, I can't imagine ever having to wait too long. The breakfast options cover all of the usual suspects. I ordered the huevos rancheros and was not disappointed. Blue corn tortillas were covered in a spicy chorizo sauce and the fluffy scrambled eggs requested (instead of the usual fried) were coated in a smooth, tangy guacamole. The home fries were nice and crispy and the portion was very generous. Although I didn't try them, the pancakes, as well as the French toast, looked great. My coffee cup was constantly refilled by my pleasant server. It's easy to see why Sabrina's is a local favorite.

I Wish It Was Closer to Home

By Wendy W |

I was in Philadelphia to tour Drexel and it’s grad school with my daughter. She noticed Sabrina’s on her way into the city and said to her friend that she wanted to eat there. I had made plans to have friends meet us near the school for a late lunch or early dinner. Since my friends were more familiar with the area, I asked them to choose. They chose Sabrina’s! It’s located in an old, beautiful mansion. We were seated on the round and enclosed porch. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. They had everything for the fussy from traditional brunch features to the more daring. If my daughter goes to Drexel, this will be a normal place for us to go. If she doesn’t, I will still go there whenever I am in the city.

Quality Time

For the early mornings; very pleasant service; good choice of music and a wide selection of food and beverages; loved the place and would certainly do it again.

I love Sabrina's

By Pam M |

We found this cafe at its original location more than 10 years ago and always recommend it when I know people who are going to Philly. I was delighted to find this location very close to our B&B. The food is great, I'm we couldn't stay for another meal!

Great service!

By michelle m |

Sabrina’s is a nice walk from the Study Hotel. We were cheerfully greeted and seated right away. Service was friendly and efficient. We had French toast with berries, side of bacon, and granola with Greek yogurt and berries. All was tasty!

Very good but noisy

By ChrisWolfeboro |

Prefer the Calloway location. They do have a great waiting area upstairs, it's just a little too hectic. Food was great, service reasonable but in a fast pace setting.

Hearty Food in a Historic and Homey Setting

By beginnersluck11 |

The building itself is fabulous. Seems to be an old fraternity house that has been renovated. We arrived early and had a 30 minute wait. However, it was lovely outside, so we didn't mind. Menu was creative and tasty!

Fabulous choices and preparation

By amdura |

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Glad we went early, as the crowds were very evident a bit later on! Our table had Eggs Benedict (with perfectly-poached eggs) and pancakes. Excellent selections and prompt service. We sat on the porch, to make it extra-nice. One diner forgot her purse, so we went back about 45 minutes later. By then, it was packed! Glad we went early. Is right on Drexel campus, so many students and their families.

Great spot for breakfast food

By GerryBaron06 |

After spending several hours on a tour of Drexel with our son, it was time to eat. The last stop on the tour was at one of the dorms. When we walked out of the building we smelled something good. Our tour guide said that Sabrina's was a good place to eat. We decided to try it out. The wait was an indicator of how good the food was. Fortunately there is an area on the second floor to sit on couches and seats while waiting. Our food was outstanding and plentiful. The room is packed with tables and a tight fit.

Amazing brunch

By beachbride0811 |

My husband and I frequent Philly pretty regularly and we ALWAYS make sure to visit Sabrina's for brunch. BEST BRUNCH AROUND hands down!!!!! There's always a wait but it's well worth it and plenty of room to wait. The servers are always awesome and everything is fresh and delicious!

Comfort Food HEAVEN!

By C L |

Wow! Awesome food! We had a few hours to kill in between appointments at Penn (a 15 minute walk from Penn Presbyterian) and one of the medical techs recommended Sabrina's. What a great lunch! It was hard to settle on one selection. I ended up having the Mediterranean Wrap, my husband had Mel's Chicken Cutlet... sooo good, very fresh. I hate to admit it, but we could not resist the stuffed challah french toast and had it for dessert... A-MAZ-ING! The restaurant itself seems like a college spot, but very welcoming, clean and friendly. The food was reasonably priced and service was on point. Looking forward to going back soon. Highly recommended.

Amazing and Popular Venue

By James A |

Hard not to be impressed given the impressive house that houses this restaurant. Great menu. Wait staff is solid and works hard in this busy venue. It is just a little more pricey than other local breakfast spots but offers great benefits. Fries are served with breakfast but fruit is substituted on request. Both are very good. Service is attentive and prompt.

Nice Eggs Benedict and Pancakes, Excellent Latte

By Dawn L |

We went to Sabrina's for breakfast. Fantastic latte. Nice Eggs Benedict (they do it with spinach), and pancakes too. We ordered a short stack but couldn't finish it. Got the chicken noodles soup too - basic but hearty.

Hearty brunch

By vsop4u |

Met up with some old friends for brunch. They do not take reservations, so we got there early and was told there was an hour to hour and a half wait. No problem! It seemed like everyone else was OK with waiting, so ya know when in Rome. The wife and I had two variations of the French toast and our friends went with the Huevas Rancheros. They finished their plates and we had to call mercy on ours. It's a large yet tight inside space with alot of traffic and noise, so speaking up is a must. But the food and service was spot on and when you boil it down, that's what matters.

Great food but rude rude rude hostess!!

By ChpSheep33 |

Went with my 6 month old son, the hostess looked at me like I was crazy- she told me they don't really have anywhere for a stroller.. Waited along with another couple only to have her seat some hipsters who literally walked in 15 minutes after us! Once I was seated my waitress was great and the food was even better! The stuffed French toast is phenomenal!! The snotty hostess is going to cost this place more than bad reviews, I don't think I'll go back.

Brunch

Excellent!! Saturday brunch. Beautiful Victorian style houses. Staff were very nice and kind. We were four, each dishes were delicious and perfect!!!

Sabrina's never disappoints

By jwatsonpcg |

I've been here a dozen or so times this past year. My son goes to Drexel and I renovated a house close by so Sabrina's was the go to place. Not only was it convenient but the food and service is great. The manger Bill does an awesome job. Portions are big.

Great breakfast, Friendly, helpful wait staff.

By D M |

We went to Sabrina's on a Friday for brunch, with friends and family. We did call ahead to get on a wait list. We got in right away, though it's definitely a good idea to call ahead. One of us had a significant dairy allergy and they had a sheet with all menu items with dairy so they could be avoided. Additionally, the wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had many different things- from eggs and bacon to lox and bagels. How they had all our dishes come out at the same time, given their variety, was a marvel. But not only did they do that, but one person who had eggs over easy, reported that they were cooked perfectly. Our diary-free person found plenty to eat, without a problem. My bacon was undercooked but when I sent it back, it came out perfectly. Our waitress was very nice and helpful but there was a lull when she was no where to be found. The atmosphere is "college" but we were fine with that. it is, after all, on the edge of Drexel U. Overall, a very good breakfast/brunch, we'd definitely recommend it!

Awesome Breakfast in a Beautiful Converted Mansion

By M W |

Had brunch at Sabrina's Cafe on the Drexel campus this past Monday. Parking was a bit of a challenge in the neighborhood, but after a circle or two we all found parking on the street. It was Presidents day so it was a bit crowded but we were able to call ahead and put our name on the list (they don't take reservations) and were seated when we all arrived (party of 6). While the room we were in was a bit noisy, the ambiance was very warm, cozy and comfortable. Service was excellent; our server was on top of our needs, without feeling hovered over. All of our meals were excellent. I had the Stuffed French Toast; huge serving filled with a nice cream cheese topped with a light maple syrup. My wife had the pork sandwich which she raved about. The others all had very positive things to say about their dishes as well. Would have given it five stars but lessened it only because of the noise level and difficulty hearing conversation. However, of you have younger ears, you may not have as much trouble. Highly recommend for the service and food.

Just as good as Sabrina Too. On Drexel campus, but open to the public.

By 120491 |

We went for a late lunch today. The menu and food and servers were just as wonderful as at the Sabrina's on Callowhill. Even though this is on the Drexel campus, it is open to the general public. My husband loved the stuffed french toast, my son had a wonderful burger with cheddar cheese and bacon, and I had the Tuscan Chicken sandwich (and asked them to hold the cheese). My son got sweet potato fries, I had regular fries. Everything was wonderful! You should definitely try this restaurant if you are anywhere in the neighborhood.

Hustle and bustle while you eat

By monkeyboobs |

We have eaten here a few times and each time come away with the same impression. Fun place to be; always busy, lots to see and the food is good and reasonably priced. Place is cute and artsy, located right in the heart of "collegeville," Drexel U of P. This last time there were students everywhere outside all having a great time which gave out so much energy.

One of my favorites places on earth!!

By Seth S |

Probably have eaten here 200 times and have always had great service and great food!! A very young fun crowd and wait staff as it sits right on Drexel university campus! The manager Billy and the rest of his staff are A-one! Have interesting food for vegan and carnivores alike! Always worth a stop! Yummmmmyyyyyyy!

Wonderful breakfast/brunch

By luvgreece |

Very cute location with a great menu. We really enjoyed our breakfast/brunch. Lots of Vegetarian and Vegan options.

Delicious brunch, great service, fitting a Sunday celebration!

By PHLNarb |

We enjoyed a delicious brunch and birthday celebration at Sabrina's, using the YELP app so as not to have to wait long to e seated. This i a very popular and enjoyable spot, so putting your name on the waiting list is highly recommended. The host brought our table a French toast to celebrate our birthday person, so delicious and kind! The bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes were wonderful and the special Hang Up the Running shoes, french toast with lemon ricotta and blueberries were A-Mazing! A huge treat all around!!

Sabrina's on Powelton... SUPER meal!

By mms127 |

I have come here a lot at lunch time because my son has a class on Saturdays in the neighborhood. I always have a cup of soup, as I am not a big lunch eater... but, I have always noticed the beautiful & bountiful plates of delicious looking dishes pass by! SO.... we decided to try Sabrina's out for dinner on Saturday night. We had tickets to a performance at The Annenberg, so we thought it was a great choice.... WOW! Were we right! My husband, son & I had a FANTASTIC dining experience. Let's begin with the food... We shared the vegetable spring rolls... LARGE portion, plenty to share & absolutely DELISH! I had the Tequila Salmon.... SO good! My son had the mussels & ate every bite! My husband had the meatloaf & said it was fantastic. The portions are large, so order wisely. I liked the fact that our waitress was honest in telling us about the larger than normal portion size.... I saw many stuffed French Toast entrees passing me by, many had take home containers! THAT looks amazing... you can order breakfast all day long. The food is home made & tastes that way. The servers are really attentive as our water glasses were kept full. The manager & wait staff asked how our meals were a couple of times, which made us feel welcome and cared about... The atmosphere is really special since we are on a college campus... it feels young, vibrant and energetic! I love it here ! We will return very soon! GREAT value for your money!!

Great food seasoned with Maggie!

By LeahPhiladelphia_PA |

I love Sabrina's food. It is tasty, ecclectic and affordable. I've eaten at all the Sabrina restaurants and am not ashamed to say there is one that grabs me.....Sabrina's Powelton. Yes, it gets busy like all the others do. Yes, every now and then things are not "perfect". And yes, parking is problematic. But for whatever reason, this one stands out because everyone there works harder to please....works harder to get things right. And no one does that better than Maggie, a server seasoned with caring and personality. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, she's got a smile on her face and a memory for customer's likes and dislikes that is simply amazing. Credit should be given to Bill, the manager and the excellent chefs. But it's Maggie I embrace because she makes a simple meal into an experience!

Great Food

By Chasity17 |

Great Food! I always eat at a lot of breakfast places and this by far is one of my top 5 favorites. I don't remember the exact name of what I ordered but it was poached eggs with sausage, bell pepper and potatoes on top of french toast!! Best Dish ever!!! You must definitely eat here and be prepared there might be a wait!!

Great Stuffed French Toast

By Nowcid |

The stuffed french toast is delicious! An absolute must! The order is very large, great for two people to split. Otherwise you can take the leftovers home and heat them up for later.

Try it!

By Shuggie |

Been to this location a lot. The food is pretty good. This time I had the turkey sandwich which came with sprouts, bacon, greens and avocado, which they were out of. It would have made a big difference as it would have added some richness to the sandwich. It was a little dry even though it had a red pepper mayonnaise on it. I got a side salad with it instead of fries with blue cheese dressing. The dressing wasn't your typical blue cheese dressing. It was an odd color but tasted ok. I guess they were trying to put their own spin on it. But if you get a sandwich definitely try the polenta fries. They are really great! My daughter got the loaded tots which were delicious. Three homemade big tots with peppers, onions, sausage and 2 poached eggs. Would definitely recommend that dish. The staff is friendly. Our waitress however put our check on the table before I even finished the first half of my sandwich! Major pet peeve there! She just said "no rush." She didn't even ask if we needed anything else such as coffee or even dessert. That definitely affected her tip. I think they pool their tips there so it affected the other servers as well.

Great brunch

By Samuel J |

The stuffed challah is remarkable. Very tasty combination. HUGE. Half orders are available. The apple and chedder omelet was very tasty and well made. Home fries with onions are done to perfection. Good coffee.

Yummy breakfast

By Meghan A |

We came here for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The portion size is very large. The Stuffed Challah French Toast was awesome, as were the pancakes. Coffee was ok and the only downside.

Great lunch with family

By Kiana A |

My mother, husband, two children and I had lunch at Sabrina's Cafe. My Mother had been before but it was our first time. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Awesome brunch - call ahead seating a must

By Annb98 |

We went to Sabrinas on Powellton near Drexel. We did the call ahead on a busy Sunday morning so did not have as long a wait. Great spot and huge portions. Beautiful building and great service. next time we will share plates, way too much for us. However, our son was happy to have leftovers to take back to his dorm :)

Must-try café!

By B.G |

Sabrina's Café is such a nice café in University City with amazing food and drinks. It's a great location for a weekend brunch! The flavors of the food are incredible and the portion sizes are quite large. The drinks that they have are delicious too! The staff are really friendly and accommodating as well. The café is always busy, so it is important to join the waitlist before you go to the café to save your spot.

Good Food but everything else....

By Wander |

The food was great. My friends and I all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The whole waiting and "reservation" thing needs to be changed. They don't take actual reservations. You just get a place in like 30 minutes before and hope you don't have a lot of people ahead of you. It took my friends and I 3 different times to get in for breakfast and we waited for an hour and a half for the first two. I've had no problems with lunch and dinner but I think this place could benefit from an actual reservation system.

Excellent in all aspects

By Rosemary J |

Had a super meal here. The food was delicious, well cooked and was served hot. The service was excellent. The waitress attending us was polite, attentive and went out of her way to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. I would recommend eating in this restaurant. Also prices were reasonable and portions were generous. The eating area was also pleasant. The only downside- no wine!, however we found a nice place for a drink afterwards a short walk down the road to Landmark.

So many options!!

By Jmauro11 |

I got the vegan harvest bowl and it was out of this world. Was super hungry and was worried it wouldn’t be enough. Needless to say it was more than enough. Very flavorful and filling. My friend got the salmon bowl which was also a good serving and delish. Short walk from Perlman Center at Penn and well worth it!!

Great brunch spot!

By Brooklintraveler_12 |

A fantastic brunch spot. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. We had the lemon and blueberry ricotta pancakes, eggs and the rancheros. All were excellent. The portions are generous. I would highly recommend this spot.

Cute little brunch friends

By Tabitha G |

My friends and I grabbed a late brunch and it was delicious. The waitress was quick and to the point. The chicken salad sandwich was a generous portion! Great atmosphere!

Great Comfort Food - Lively Atmosphere

By Mitchell F |

Portions are huge - always a wait, but worth it. Great brunch/lunch selections. Vegetarian and gluten free options. Original egg dishes including egg white options, vegetarian options - veggie sausage - veggie cheeses steaks too. Worth a trip. Great waiting area upstairs with pool table, charging stations, comfortable seating.

delicious

By toni and chris |

We were made to feel very welcome, immediatly we were offered tap water. The menu was large and so many choices all sounding very good. I lobed the brunch choices! We were both delighted with our meals and our coffee - and surprised to get a free coffee top up poured at the table! Very funky setting and we only wish we were staying more than one night so we could return.

Will be back!

By trutraveler_11 |

The food was healthy, and the portions were generous. Liked the ambiance of the old home. One block from the Cornerstone B&B and on the Drexel campus on 33rd.

Snarky Manager and inept employee taking to go orders

By Redreb |

Last night between 6 -7pm, Saturday, Nov 18, 2017, we were trying to celebrate a birthday for someone who had been ill and was finally in recovery. Because of their limited dietary restrictions, it was suggested to go to Sabrina's Café. We packed the car and drove over 1 hour from MD to Philly with other things scheduled for the evening, so we telephoned in the order to keep us on schedule. We ordered 4 sandwiches, specifying that the ONE that showed on the menu that it contained bacon was not added to the sandwich and it was repeated 3 times for clarification. When we asked the time frame would the 4 sandwiches and the one salad be completed we were told " a few minutes." OK no problem. After going in and waiting, my folks come out and we notice there is one sandwich missing....the one we specified no bacon. Fortunately we had not taken off and they went back inside to get the sandwich. They were treated with disdain, told that we had not ordered a 4th sandwich, and the bacon wasn't on the Icelander, which on the menu does NOT show they even put it on the sandwich period so they admitted they DID in fact hear about the 4th sandwich and the no bacon specification. After this "warm" reception, my son and daughter asked if they would be offered something for the extra trouble of waiting and messing up the order. The manager told them they needed to wait to see if she, management, would offer them something as it was not their place to inquire. The last few times I had eaten there, the service and the food were nice. I am uncertain if the manager and said employee were having a horrible night and taking it out on customers; however I do have a lot of vegan gluten free folks who visit, and after last night, I am strongly reconsidering dining at this establishment due to the service we received last night. Hopefully the owners will nip this in the bud so that their children's namesake will continue to leave a positive taste in the mouths of customers. I know they worked hard to establish something for their children. It would be a shame to let an inept employee and a non customer-oriented manager tear down what they have built! Word of mouth is best advertisement....for good or bad!

Delicious, reasonably priced food in a cool building.

By jasheehan |

My girlfriend and I have been to the the other Sabrina's, which was also great, but this space is cooler. The restaurant is in an old Victorian, which doubles as a Drexel student center. We started with a couple of iced lattes, which were well made with good espresso. To celebrate the final Game of Thrones season, Sabrina's featured a Westerosi themed menu. We each ordered off of that, and were not disappointed. I ate Cersei's Iron Fleet croissant sandwich, and she the King's Landing Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious. My sandwich included fresh greens and a savory homemade sauce. Staff was attentive, quick, and friendly. We took our leftover iced lattes to-go on our walk through Philly. Highly recommend this joint.

Bummer Location

By TravelinGirla |

The food was ok but the service was slow. The upcharges were not obvious on the menu. The waitress didn't mention the upcharge when we asked about options. We even talked to the manager who didn't seem to care. He never did show us where the upcharges were listed. This visit was a bummer considering that the Collingswood location is so nice and pleasant.

Worth the wait

By Belle044 |

This is a neighborhood place but with all the wonderful reviews, there were many people like ourselves eating there. The portions were large and there were many choices. We ate on Sunday and there were brunch specials. I had an omelet that included black beans, onions, peppers and avocados. It was a great savory dish. I really recommend this place but be aware of the wait. It was worth it.

Big portions, lively crowd, diverse menu

By kkmk |

Ate breakfast hear on a Saturday morning. The menus had lots of interesting breakfast options including stuffed French toast, egg white frittata, turkey bacon. We were in a hurry and our server rushed the order. We were out in 30 minutes. I've heard it gets busy on the weekends and they use an app to put your name on their wait list before you arrive.

Loved it!

By Peggy N |

The 4 of us went for brunch and was told an hour and a half wait. We were seated at 30 minutes. The building itself is adorable loved the menu and the food even more. We are from Northern NJ, our daughter just took a job in Philadelphia, so this was our first visit ti Sabrina’s. Definitely will not be our last. The wait staff was courteous and personable. Can’t wait to go visit again! 😀

Fun brunch in the University area

By RonL40 |

We had gone to Sabrina's near the museums the day before and were delighted to find another Sabrina's in the university area. Service was very accommodating.... on a busy Saturday morning, we only had to wait a few minutes and were given complimentary coffee while we waited. The breakfasts were superb... avocado toast and a delicious omelet. Hope to eat here again quite soon.

I’ll Be Back

By Cee_Wanderlust |

First time here, certainly not my last! Quirky little set up, looks like an old corner home turned restaurant. Entrance was a bit confusing, but we managed. We were greeted and seated quickly, our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. Most importantly, the food was amazing! I especially loved the home fries and the cheeseburger. Only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was the scrambled eggs but everything else more than made up for it. It was a little pricy, but you get a decent amount of food. $46 for two meals and one drink. I’ll be back

Scrumptious food at low prices

By Brian |

I eat a Sabrina's just about every chance I get. The food is delicious; the menu is always changing; and the staff is very friendly. I usually go for breakfast, and if you need a breakfast spot, choose Sabrina's.

Extremely Disappointing

By owlyn |

I really don't know why Sabrina's gets good reviews. I've had breakfast at two of the locations, and neither was good. This review is about the Powelton location. The staff was friendly enough, but service was very slow. The pancakes I ordered were horrible- no taste. The Marscapone topping was simply a dollop on top, and it was cold, hard, and also had no taste. The scrambled eggs were okay, but the home fries were not home fries, but were small pieces cut like roasted potatoes. They looked like they were commercial frozen potatoes. The coffee was average. The worst part was the two roaches I saw. One was high up on a wall, the other was table height on a wall. Both patrons at that table, which was against the wall, saw the roach, and the male patron grabbed a napkin and killed it. Roaches generally like to come out in the dark, and with two coming out in bright light, I can only imagine... Needless to say, we will not dine at any Sabrina's again. There are too many excellent breakfast choices in the area.

She wanted lunch and I wanted breakfast!

By smrn8 |

My daughter and I were hungry and we looked on Tripadvisor for a great place to eat. She wanted lunch and I wanted breakfast. Sabrina's was perfect. It is in a cute neighborhood in a pretty building. There was art on the walls and I loved the lamps on the ceiling. The staff was attentive and friendly. You did not have to wait on the food. Portions were ample and we enjoyed the meal. I had a breakfast sandwich and she had the pulled pork and a milk shake (yes it was February). I will go back.

Stuffed french toast heaven!

Great Food! Was a little hard to find, but SO worth it. Wonderful service and yummy!

Loved It!

By Doug H |

Food and service where excellent. I loved the old house charm. We will be going over and over again.

Great food!

By Kellie H |

This place is pretty cool... built on the bottom floor of an old Victorian house, the fit a ton of tables but you didn't feel cramped and we had privacy. When we arrived the hostess told us it would be a 20-25min wait...9am on a Sunday in June :-/...we agreed to wait even though I could see at least 3 two tops and only one other couple waiting. 5 minutes later a gentleman, appeared to be the manager, come out and tries to see if he can get us a table... the hostess gave him an attitude. He told me he'd help us out... waves me past the hostess and seats us. Clearly there were enough tables. After that the service was great, very laid back. And the food was excellent!! 5 hours later and my husband is still raving about how good it was. I also get it was very reasonably priced for the area.

Sooooo good!

By brian s |

Had the specialty stuffed challah French toast, coffee, oj. It was absolutely delicious! Service was excellent! Prompt, pleasant and efficient. Went on recommendation of a local.

Great Food

By Beth B |

My daughter is at Drexel and when we visited, she wanted to take us to Sabrina's the first night. Lots of food and it was great.

Great breakfast/brunch

By Matthew S |

Great location decor, also has outdoor seating. Extensive menu of coffee/latte/drinks and extensive food menu. Large portions and great service.

A must!

By Shawna M |

Visited for dinner. They have all day breakfast. Had the stuffed French toast, so good. Beautiful building as well.

Amazing French Toast!

By Jackie H |

I'm so thankful my hotel concierge recommended Sabrina's Cafe for a Sunday Brunch. We had French Toast, Sausage, and Fish Tacos. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review. I will definitely recommend Sabrina's Cafe and you may want to call ahead for seating.

Hit and miss

By PHLRick |

We took advantage of the summer dearth of students to go to Sabrina's in Powelton for lunch. It is located in a beautiful turreted stone Victorian now maintained as a student center by Drexel. The service was very good, and my huevos rancheros were excellent--imaginative and well-prepared. My wife's grilled chicken Caesar salad was terrible, though--wilted lettuce that seemed to have been steeped in dressing for hours, chicken that was too heavily seasoned for the dish, and soggy croutons. 1 "excellent" + 1 "poor" yields an "average" for food. I would be inclined to give them another chance, but I'll never get my wife to go back.

Date Night Early Dinner

By ScorpTKee |

My boyfriend and I came for the fist time. Someone told him about the Salmon, which he ordered and I had the Mediterranean!! Wrap with the sweet potato fries. DELICIOUS!! I would definitely go back along with trying out the other locations

Delicious and kid-friendly, even with the college crowd

By msp77 |

We stopped here for breakfast for our 9 month old. We each got something off of the brunch menu, pumpkin pancakes and a chicken and biscuit sandwich. They were fantastic. (The baby had a bottle and apple sauce!) The staff were delightful. We were a bit confused, as it appears this is located inside a Drexel residence hall, so at first we weren't sure if it was open to the public. Don't worry--it's open and fantastic. Plus, breakfast is served all day--an absolute plus for me, as I love breakfast!

Great brunch

By francischien09 |

This is a great brunch place. The portion is huge and with your money. The only thing is that the lines are usually very long. So if you don't mind waiting in line, Sabrina's Cafe is a wonderful choice.

Wow, a must for breakfast!

By Barbara S |

We went here for Sunday brunch. The menu has breakfast and lunch items. For Sunday brunch, they have a specials menu (see menu below). I had Waternoose's Extracted "Scream" Cheese Special Stuffed French Toast (Challah French toast stuffed with cream cheese, mascarpone with Nutrella, candied nuts, mango, and fresh strawberries, topped with a berry syrup). It was huge and a great blend of flavors. My husband had Woody's There's a Pancake in My Boot (see menu photo below). My son had stuffed french toast and his friend had a sandwich. Everything was beyond amazing. The restaurant was connected to Drexel. The building was unique. They have call ahead service which helped to keep our wait to about 20 minutes.

Quiet delicious corner restaurant within walking distance of B&B

By Mary Ann D |

Delicious food - no alcohol; accommodating wait staff; lots of students but easy quick dinners for anyone wanting a low cost restaurant

Friendly, Filling, Fresh. A Favorite University City Go To Restaurant!

By GlobalVillage |

Sabrina's is always friendly, fresh and filling, and is our favorite University City/Powelton Village go to Restaurant. Over a two week period, we've probably tried 8 or 10 dishes. When we return to University City, we will return to Sabrina's.

Amazing Breakfast!!!!

By Trail99597 |

This place has amazing breakfast! The waiting line was over 45mins, but if you order to go, they'll bring it out and you can sit outside or up in their lounge.

Big Food!

By Kevin Rose |

We visited after the Army/Navy game. It was excellent. The biggest French Toast I've ever seen and sooo good! Grace was fantastic as our wait person. Warm, welcoming, friendly and great food.

Absolutely Brilliant - you must go !

By Graeme M |

After a week of poor to mediocre breakfasts whilst visiting University City, someone told us about Sabrina’s. What a revelation ! The food, location and staff are all out of this world. The restaurant is in a fantastic setting with all the charm of a bygone era, the food choice is excellent and so well prepared (even for a fussy vegetarian like myself) and of course the waiting staff are wonderful. A must visit and eat at place whilst in Philadelphia, for breakfast, brunch, or lunch !

Loved every bite!

By Jelinva |

We sat on the enclosed porch and each of the four of us had different meals. All of them were delicious, and our waitress, Brook, was top notch. Nice ambiance and an overall excellent experience. The portions are very large, so consider sharing.

Mother's Day Brunch

By Lilshell812 |

I went to Sabrina's for a Mother's Day brunch. My sister called about 90 minutes ahead of time and put out name on a list (they don't really do reservations) and we waited under 5 minutes for a table. The decor is great but it's a little loud inside. The food was yummy but didn't knock my socks off.

Best brunch in Philly

By Dominique |

I was visiting a family member in Philly with a friend and we decided to all have brunch together at Sabrina's. Sabrina's apparently has more than one location, but we went to the one in Powelton Village, because that's where we were at the time. It was pretty crowded and there was a little bit of a wait, but when we were seated our waitress attended to us right away and was attentive throughout the whole meal. Her name ironically was Sabrina, but she was not the owner. The brunch menu was very interesting. All the meals had very long witty names. My relative ordered the "Will begin last year's resolution Mexi's special" which consisted of home fries (he subbed them for regular fries) topped with sweet and spicy short ribs, chipotle tomato ragout, scrambled eggs (again his preference) lime sour cream and tomatillo pico de gallo. He loved it and ate every last bite. I went with "Eat meat once a year (and today's that day) burger special." It was a turkey burger, lettuce tomato, caramelized fennel and cabbage, pork belly and melted swiss with Russian dressing and a fried carrot garnish and it was amazing and bigger than my head. I obviously couldn't finish it, but it was so good. My friend ordered a bacon cheese burger with American cheese, but he received provolone cheese. We also ordered the challah French toast special which was topped fresh strawberries and was delicious. We all really enjoyed everything we ate. Unfortunately, after the meal my friend proceeded to get very sick. He claims it was the provolone cheese. Maybe his burger wasn't cooked all the way through. I'm not sure what the issue was, but my meal was amazing and I'd definitely go back. They always have different brunch specials with creative names and I would willingly try them all.

"Must to go" for brunch

By DilettaBonciani |

There are 4 Sabrina's café in town...this is in the heart of Drexel University! There are many people, so usually there's around an hour ti wait, but it's worth it.The food is really good, I shared with a friend the banana french toast and the huevos ranceros, both very delicious!

Lunch with Family

By BruceT4691 |

We had a group of 8 that stopped for lunch. Seated right away and our waitress hustled, kept our drinks full while we waited for our lunch. Great service. Nice portions

Sorry to say, but disappointing.

By Malex16 C |

Was SO excited to try Sabrina's. It had gotten amazing reviews on Trip Advisor for best breakfast. After walking there, we weren't surprised to wait for an hour. That was fine! Once we got seated however and ordered, it took another 45-1 hour to get our food. That was a bit much! The eggs Benedict was fair. Hollandaise sauce was definitely not classic hollandaise. Tasted like a cheese sauce. So for the wait, try something different. The service was fine and staff was friendly.

Still Excellent Food Worth Waiting For

By Aaron M |

My second and third time here... Sunday brunch was extremely busy but the upstairs lounge was awesome for the baby to practice walking and adults to chat. Seasonal special French Toast had it's signature enormity and wacky/crazy YUMMO ingredients (golden Oreo crumbles, cookies & cream filling, apricot preserves, berry syrup, and fresh berries on top). What everyone else in our party of 9 ate, I don't know, their food only lasted as long as mine. Afterwards, we went back upstairs (where there's 2 pool tables) and chilled on some sofas to talk for about 4 hours. Tuesday dinner was slow and quiet at 5pm. I had the Spencer's Meatloaf Parm sandwich w/ sweet potato fries and wife got the Sabrina's Ultimate Caesar Salad w/ chicken. Mine was a large portion but hers was HUGE. Both very yummo. Another person got the Southwest Buffalo Chicken Cobb -- I got the last of it b/c they couldn't finish -- it was also yummo. The only disappointment I've had is the dessert I unfortunately ordered. Was supposed to be a Pecan/Apple [pie?] but was just a tiny slice of plain ol' apple pie. Besides the awesome food, this Sabrina's has a really cool building with a nice lounge upstairs. Will DEF eat here again next time I'm in philly.

Great place to eat

By Jonathan I |

Had our one and only hamburger during our trip to the USA here. And a good choice it was too. Good café fare, friendly staff and all very affordable (probably due to the university location). Everything we said was "awesome" to our server, but then hey, that's America for you ;-) Go there!

Tasty

By retiredfrwork |

We ate breakfast here on our way before going to Penn Museum. My goodness what a great choice to eat here. The portions were gigantic and each of the four of us ordered different meals. My husband and I shared our meals and it is a hard choice which one was the best. Instead of having the potatoes I substituted fresh fruit which was good. My omelette was so big that I was not able to finish it. Our waitress was very attentive and could not do enough for us. The interior of the restaurant was interesting and very well kept.

Great Breakfast Place

By FussyTravelers |

Love this place. Staff is great. Located in an old Victorian house in Powelton near PENN and Drexel. Prices are reasonable. Good selection of food. We really like breakfast here. Try to go off-hours because it gets crowded and only street parking is available, which can be difficult. So don't go on a Saturday morning at 10am unless you had a snack and coffee because you'll be starving as you wait. However, you'll find the wait is worth it. I like me eggs over easy, but it's rare to really get one perfectly done. I've had breakfast all over the country, but only the chef at Sabrinas ever cooked a perfect over-easy egg for me! Cool place!

About time we tried this place--it was delicious.

By Susan S |

We ate lunch in this charming place inside a vintage building. Nice menu with good descriptions of the entrees. It is a bit of a funky/college neighborhood place. Waitress was a doll and the food was very good. i had a very big salad( It was the "small" size) Buffalo chicken with lots of interesting tidbits and a lovely salad dressing. My husband had fish tacos. A warning: both choices were on the spicy side. Next time I will say hold the jalapeños and the hot sauce! We will be back.

What a delicious brunch!

By rose762016 |

My son, granddaughter and I had brunch today at Sabrina's Cafe, on Drexel University's campus, today. It's in a beautiful Victorian building with turrets and curved enclosed porch. My son had Challah French toast, stuffed with bananas. My granddaughter had a meatloaf sandwich with melted Provolone cheese, on Sarcone's sesame seeded Italian roll, served with Parmesan French fries. I had broiled veggie sandwich with melted Provolone cheese, on Sarcone's sesame seeded Italian roll, served by sweet potato fries. All were very tasty and half of each of them had to go home with us!

Sunday Brunch Supreme

By Bill R |

The perfect way to start a relaxing Sunday strolling around Philly is with a sumptuous brunch at this quaint, cozy house on a corner of the Drexel University campus. I had read about the mouth-watering French toast, but I couldn't resist the "My 600-pound breakfast special" -- poached eggs, a fish-and-Yukon gold potato cake, and arugula, topped with a lemon horseradish bechamel sauce, all for $12.50. My wife chose her favorite brunch dish -- eggs Benedict with spinach and Canadian bacon. As much as I wanted to add an order of French toast "for the table," seeing the size of those portions at the neighboring tables convinced me it would be a mistake. Still, our dishes kept us full most of the day, as we walked along the Schuylkill and explored the Fitler Square and Rittenhouse Square neighborhoods. Sabrina's also has cafes at the Italian Market and near the Art Museum, giving us three spots to try the French toast. One tip -- take advantage of the call-ahead seating.

Fun place to go with your student

By Linda W |

The food is fun and delicious! Right in the middle of a couple of universities, cute spot to take your student for a casual meal. They serve breakfast all day and they're all huge portions. Their burgers are very tasty with a huge selection of toppings along with some specialties. BUT, their strong coffee is absolutely the best! If you like coffee, it's a bottomless cup that's strong, not bitter.
