Wings, ribs, steaks, pasta etc etc... all fab! Cocktails brilliant! Staff amazing Mechanical bull in the middle of resto... Fabulous fun! We went twice... definitely try it out! (especially f you like a rock soundtrack and a million big screens showing sports!)

Food and Fun Went here for dinner as two couples cant remember what the ladies had but I share the platter $35 with my friend which was more than enough for both of us. (Both can easily squat over 100kg) food was tasty and a bit off Marshmellow dip for sweet potato fries, tried it not a fan. drinks were flowing and waiter was very friendly. there is a rodeo bull there that you can sign up to ride if you over 18 - no prize for staying on which my friend found out but they had fun. although you do have to sign disclaimer which pretty much said if you die its your own fault. seemed like they didn't want us to leave as they offered free shots and free cake so we stayed a bit longer overall was brilliant night and would defiantly recommend

We decided to have breakfast before going to Universal studios, there was no one helping at the entrance. We decided to get a table, after a long wait I called the manager who took his time coming to us, and then told us to move to another section. We again waited for service. When we finally got the food, it was below average and took a reasonable period of time. During our meal we asked what the cotton candy was, that people where ordering. Our waitress then brought one to our table and charged us for this (we never ordered it). Overall the experience was really bad, service was lacking and the management was just as bad.

The staff were all enthusiastic and friendly whilst the portions were massive! Considering its proximity to Universal Studios it was also fantastic value.

We had heard good things about the Saddle Ranch chain, and so took the opportunity to visit after a day at Universal Studios. Service was slick on arrival, and we were shown to a waiting area whilst a table was cleared. This is a loud brash place, so don't expect anything different - but it is great fun. Service was generally attentive until it came to paying the bill, (often the case in the US). Food was generous and lovely - really enjoyed the steak tacos, and the BBQ Burger with sweet potato fries was popular with my eldest. The chicken tacos perhaps came with too much mayo style sauce. Kids meals were excellent - particularly recommend the chicken tenders. Unlimited soda refills are great, but it is noticeable each serving comes with more ice and less drink. Good value, great place and definitely recommended.

We had a great meal at the Saddle Ranch Chop House. They were very accommodating for all of us with dietary restrictions. The steaks were awesome! The portions were great, even the kid's menu was a great size. Our waiter, Mike, did a great job as did the manager, who was very polite and great to our child. At the end of the meal, the brought out cotton candy on the house!!! I have never been much of a fan of cotton candy, but this changed my mind. The cotton candy was amazing.... it was HUGE, too!! Thanks for the great experience! If we ever come back to the area, we will definitely come back!

They're Gone,Universal Studios Close Them Down, What A great Loss,I Guess they Had to Much Night Time Trouble

The portions are very large ! Make sure you take this into account before ordering. You can probably cut down the number of dishes you order Place is on the higher side. Overall the food is good, wait staff is helpful. I'd recommend you walk over to the other side - City Walk for many other option and variety of food

Really delicious food and huge portions. We had a reservation on a Saturday at dinnertime, but I think we could have walked right in. We sat inside, but the outdoor seating area is really nice too. Excellent service, good sized kids meals, fall off the bone ribs. Try the giant loaded baked potato and the s'mores platter for dessert, which you use the outdoor fire pits for and roast your own marshmallows. Overall Good food and lots of fun for grown ups and kids and delicious to boot. Will return for sure.

Unfortunately I've always loved this place... but today they just turn my opinion about them. Had a good dinner. Specified that it was my sister in laws bday, yet no one came to sing like they usually do. I ask for a dessert for the birthday girl. Never came, and on top of that they were clearing the tables for us to get out of the area. That wasn't even the worse part. We were with a large group. After spending $400 on dinner. We asked if we could walk some of our party to the car, for real entry, they had different stories, but the manager said it was ok with wrist band. So we decided to go, so we could come back. When we came back they wouldn't let us in. Because apparently, the manager had changed his mind because of understaffed. Ok, I'm sorry but I wouldn't had left if that was the case. But they need to communicate better amongst themselves. Never partying or recommending people here. Sorry. But not sorry!!!!

The food here is good, not great but good. The service is friendly and the drinks are wonderful. Great place to have dinner when visiting Universal City.

Saddle Ranch is a Sunset Strip staple, so if you have dreams of Sunset activities, this won't be a total mistake. You also have the bull riding element that a lot of partiers enjoy. I just couldn't rate this higher because it simply wasn't my scene - overpriced and touristy. It was loud and crowded with a bachelorette party and a brood of drunken men trying to pick them up, which I'm sure is a pretty typical scene here and for the the right crowd, a perfect venue. The food wasn't anything to call home about - expensive and the same kind of thing I could find at a lot of other eateries and drinks were just as outrageous and you're going to find at any other main tourist destination. I just didn't find Saddle Ranch, even though it's quintessential Los Angeles, to be anything super unique for the price.

We had experienced another Saddle Ranch in the Outlets at Orange, and our daughter really loved it, so we decided to give it a go. We were greeted with a great smiling host, who took us to our table. Our server Nicholas, was awesome, helpful with the menu, and also topping up our drinks. We knew the meals were rather large so we just ordered entree's (main meals if you aren't American) We had a BBQ Burger, really good Full Baby back ribs - great meal Fried Chicken - wonderful crisp batter on the outside Rib Eye steak - cooked perfectly Nicholas was so good he shouted us a Choc Chip Cooked cookie - this was amazing, like a gooey soft cookie. Overall we had another good time, and meal by the staff at the Saddle Ranch Chop house

The service was a bit hectic. Asked for water when someone brought food, and they said they would let our waitperson know. Took a couple more tries to get it. But everyone enjoyed their food. Especially the Tower of Cotton Candy!

Had dinner here. Had the ribs which were very good. The wait staff was friendly. The only downside would be the temperature, it was quite chilly the entire time we were there.

Had to find a place to eat late at night since our plane arrived at 10pm. They were accommodating. Portions were huge. They had the biggest nachos I have ever seen. We definitely ordered too much food. Service was pretty good. It was loud, though, as they turn into a night club after a certain time.

Best steak my son has ever had, but for 35.00 with shrimp, we should have framed the darn thing and called it art! The prices are outrageous for mediocre food. We have gotten better food at more reasonable prices at chain steak houses. It is sooo dark, you can't see the menu or your food. Would not return!

This is located right next to Universal Studios. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had supper, was really good and quick, price was very reasonable.Menu was huge, lots of choices for everyone.Wish we would have found this earlier in our stay we would have revisited.

A fun saloon-style joint on the Sunset Strip in LA. Reasonable American food, good draft beers and a good atmosphere. If you're in the area, stop by.

We all enjoyed the dinner and the bronco riders. Our very nice waiter brought us a free cotton candy dessert that was too big for the whole family to finish. Food was good and there was more of it than we could eat.

Don't bother to eat here. The food was passable for a chain restaurant but the service and especially the Maitre d was shocking.

We loved the Saddle Ranch the first time we visited in February and were looking forward to visiting again in July on our final visit to LA before moving back to the midwest. The service, food and atmosphere were all just average. We were so disappointed. We spoke to the manager and he apologized but couldn't offer much more. The Saddle Ranch was better than anything on the city walk in our opinion but this last visit just had too much expectation riding on it for our family. The only difference we could think of was that our first visit was on a weekend and the most recent visit was during the week so maybe the weekend staff and atmosphere are better.

What a surprise to find good food at such a tourist spot. The French dip was as good as it gets with enough food to feed two. The wedge salad was a meal in itself. The beer and wine are expensive but that's what you get at City walk. Didn't ride the bull.

My family and I stopped here after a long day at Universal Studios. They have so many dinner choices that are not only delicious but filling. Get the rib eye! Great place to go to watch games. They have multiple tvs hanging on nearly every wall. Bull riding machine is entertaining as well. Staff are very fast and friendly. They greeted us right away. We will definitely stop at this place again.

Food was great but what stands this apart is the fantastic customer service. Well priced, large meals and my wife even walked away with complimentary cotton candy! Highly recommend

food was pretty good, drinks/beers are awesome. its worth going too. the baby back ribs were very good, fresh (I hate when you can taste that "freezer' taste thank you tony romas ;-( and the rolls/butter were yummy

I love this place! I wish that they had one in Florida. Our waitress was prompt and polite. The food was second to none. I had the pancakes and a side of eggs. Everything was fresh and hot. I couldn't have asked for a better meal. The entertainment was great as well. I will definitely eat here again.

We were there for late breakfast. This restaurant is inside the park (exit). We were the only ones there, but had to wait 40 minutes before we received our breakfast. Possibly because of only one server? The restaurant was clean, staff were, in general, nice. Kind of noisy with the music. Plenty of variety on the menu. The breakfast burrito was really good, not dry. They kept our water glasses full, coffee too. Price was reasonable. At the end, they brought the grandkids a huge cotton candy-nice touch. Would have given 4 stars if it wasn't for the slow service. I still would recommend this place.

We tried to visit Saddle Ranch Chop House on a Tuesday evening, mid-November but didn’t have much luck. When we went inside, there wasn’t a single member of staff to be seen behind the bar, or waiting on any tables, or a greeter to show us to a table. There were a number of people already eating and some drinking at the bar; it also seems to be a popular restaurant on the City Walk so it was pretty odd. We weren’t going to spend all evening waiting for somebody to appear and seat us, so we went elsewhere for dinner. We would have eaten there otherwise, so I guess if it comes down to a staffing problem, then it’s lost the Chop House custom.

Went here for brunch on the day that we were leaving LA. We were looking for something to set us up for a long flight and saddle ranch chop house certainly delivered! The staff were very attentive and as our bottomless mimosas were running out, they'd spot it and start making the next round so we were never waiting for a drink. My friends all had burgers which they said were amazing. I fancied something smaller so I went for the quesadilla appetiser...I MUST have ordered a sharing platter! It was enormous! Absolutely beautiful though and I was upset with myself for not being able to finish it all. It was quiet when we were there due to the time of day I think, but they didn't mind us having our luggage with us and helped tuck it away. I would have liked to go on an evening when there was more of an atmosphere but considering the time of day, we had a great meal :) hopefully I'll be back again.

DELICIOUS steak/prime rib, nice atmosphere, beyond friendly staff. We loved it so much we went two days in a row. The food is HUGE portions and delicious. The nacho platter was fantastic. There are fire pits to roast s'mores - our waitress offered this to us as a free dessert - she was awesome! There is also a 3ft cotton candy dessert tower that my daughter LOVED. There is a mechanical bull - which is always fun to watch. The patio area is heated. The manager came by and checked and the chef came out to ask how the food was. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the place is just FUN! Wish we had one of these near our home!

Awful experience. We attempted to get lunch and when we arrived the greeter did not acknowledge us. He was too busy on his phone. He also seemed under the influence of something. When we were seated we had to wait 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. We decided to leave because based on it only have 10 people in the restaurant on veterans day, the wait staff cared more about talking in a corner than serving their customers.

My 2nd time to visit this place. I always love it. We came here to celebrate my step-son's 28th bday. The staff are very friendly and the portion of the food is huge. I have to share ribs platter with my sister and still couldn't finish it. The only thing I did not like is "at the end of our dinner, the lady brought a cake for my step son. She said this is for you because it's your bday. We assumed it was free so we ate it even though we were very full. But it wasn't free. They should have asked us.

The food was really good, but our service was better!! Ian was so nice and very attentive to us. The manager checked on us to make sure everything was good. I love when they do that lol. The chicken Caesar lettuce wrap was so good!

We were quite excited to go here. We love Tex mex type food and country music. Instead it was a touristy , boring restaurant pumping dance music. The lime margaritas were tasteless and our nachos were large but boring.

Food was awesome and customer service was outstanding. Highly recommend and look forward to going back.

Being married to a fussy eater isn't as easy as it should be - finding somewhere that does plain steak and fries is hardwork ! However this Restaurant was excellent we attended twice and great choice for me had a pizza first visit our first server was miley she was lovely and we only got married last week so she got us a dessert on house it was amazing. We returned the night after this time I got steak it was cooked perfectly , this visit we had Lisa again she was lovely she wasn't told that we had sat day so she apologised every opportunity which was nice but we weren't bothered my feet needed a rest after being at six flags all day. They did get our order wrong but fixed it within 15 min the service was great and again we got another free dessert for the inconvenience which we really enjoyed would recommend this restaurant the lay out is great and it really looks like an old ranch it's brill!!!

If your ever at Universal City walk, you should stop by Saddle Ranch for a good time. Every time im in the area, I go there with friends to have drinks and enjoy the good music. This spot is perfect for get togethers and to have a good time.

Severely over-priced food, exploiting unsuspecting tourists with heavy-handed up-sell the whole meal through. Bar drinks are pricey yet ALL, including wine are served in scratched-up, plastic cups! Truly embarrassing if you bring a client or date here... It's a tacky place complete with requisite mechanical bull, bad lighting and hard sell waiters/"managers" who are constantly in your face. Do not bother coming here especially during the week when you will be seated right in front of the bathroom even though restaurant is completely empty. Get ready for "No, no other sections are open for seating at this time, time, time, time (echo)."

Stopped by for lunch on thanksgiving, had a wonderful meal. Even enjoyed the bottomless bloody marys and mamosas

It is hard to describe just how bad this place was. It had no redeeming value! We were a group of 5 adults and 2 children and arrived at 7:30 on a Sunday night and it was near empty but we had more than a 20-minute wait for a table. Hoping to sell beer while we waited, I think. Saddle Ranch was selected because the website promised breakfast served all day and we had people with dietary restrictions that could be satisfied with a b-fast. When we asked the server about it she seemed surprised and we had to show her the website. She said she would have to ask the manager about it and returned to report they stopped doing that - no apology. We should have left then - our bad! Beverages were ordered and she returned quickly with drinks to take our dinner order - too quickly as our folks with dietary restrictions had not had a chance to find an alternative so we asked for more time - again our bad as she did not return for an eternity. When she did finally return, one of our party ordered a pizza - could not do it as they were out of dough. Dinner was ordered by all but 1 of our party who could not find anything that would meet his dietary restrictions. The "background music" was so loud we almost had to yell to be heard across the table and since the place was near empty we asked that it be turned down as we wanted to conduct a conversation. The server said she had to ask the manager - again our bad as she disappeared again. When she did return without our food she did ask if we needed more drinks but she did not address the noise level and it was still blaring so our request was repeated - she disappeared again returning to report that it had been turned down but the difference was not discernable. About 30-minutes after our ordering our food started arriving in shifts. Unfortunately, the 3-year-old had fallen asleep during the almost 1-hour wait from the time we arrived. My rib appetizer arrived last about 5 minutes after the other meals - no apology. The fries that accompanied the ribs were only lukewarm. When the check was delivered I asked to speak with the manager - none arrived. Our server did return promptly for the payment. At that point, I had had so much of the poor service and poor food that the family said I should not speak with the manager as I would not be polite...they were right - I would have been rude - so we left. This was one of my worst dining experiences in my memory --you should avoid this place!!!

Visited for breakfast. Once seated, the table needed another wipe down and the pages of the menu were stuck together! So not a great first impression from a cleanliness perspective. Fruit quality was not good and re-serve was required. However, meal sizes were very generous and service was good and polite.

Chicken wings and ribs, some of the best I had in the states service was friendly and fun but a bit slow.

Hi While on a night out to Universal city walk we stopped here for drinks,We got comfortable after a while so decided to order food pizza and onion rings...gorgeous. Our bartender Ben was courteous and attentive and we stayed longer then planned. Upon payment of bill the manager had waived our food bill...How generous was that? Much appreciated. This was our second time visiting this restaurant the other been on sunset and both are top top places.

We popped out of Universal Studios to eat here and enjoy a sit down meal. The portions were large and the quality was great for the price. The drinks are refillable and the service was very prompt. My Thai Peanut Noodle salad was amazing. As we finished our meal, the waitress brought us a complimentary s'more platter with enough marshmallows, chocolate and dips to top off a great visit.

We stopped by after a day at Universal Studios. Although the restaurant was nearly empty, it took 90 minutes for us to get our food. The waiter ignored us and didn't bring us water or silverware. He forgot part of the order, but we weren't in the mood to wait for him to put a new order in. Tough ending to an otherwise great day at universal.

My wife and I ate here last earlier this week. We were looking for a place we could watch MNF, have a good meal and a few cocktails. Service started out great, steaks were above average for a $30 ribeye and the draft beer was cold. It was a fun place, unfortunately our server disappeared after serving dinner and after we waited 30 minutes for more drinks we decided to leave. If there is only 2-3 of you I would suggest sitting at the bar, the service seems to be much better.

The worst service I have possibly ever had! I need to clarify....the server was very good, once we were able to order. The hostess was the worst. When we put our name in we were told it would be 5-10 minutes. 40 minutes later my brother-in-law when to check, he became angry because they were taking other parties back and totally ignoring us. The manager came and we were finally seated. We believe they had no intention of seating us until that point. We do not know what we did to make her pass over us, since we did nothing for 40 minutes. We did go to the bar and order drinks (martini was terrible!!). Once seated we saw that we could have been seat at any time since the restaurant was not busy at all! Lots of open tables. So ridiculous! The food was not that good for the wait, too salty and mostly cold. We'll never go here again.

This was not our first choice after leaving Universal Studios but we were positively surprised. Steaks were good, hamburgers as well. Fine price to quality ratio. Extremely helpful staff - they managed to heat up baby food although they are not allowed to use microwave for this. Overall experience - really good.

We stayed at the Hotel next door and walked over for dinner as it was recommended to us. Ordered the BBQ pork ribs and a rib eye with a corn side dish. All the food tastes absolutely fantastic, the ribs tender and tasty, the rib eye was well seasoned and juice even a bit overcooked. Had a little bull ride in the end which was great fun. All in all great food, friendly staff. I would return fur sure if I come back to LA hopefully again.

Took my group of students to have dinner here. We were on a little of a time crunch because we have movie tickets for that evening. Informed the hostess that we had a movie in 1.5 hours that we needed to walk back to. She quickly got our table set up and got us seated. The waitress must have been running behind because hostess came and took our order because she knew we were in a hurry. The food came out perfect and the waitress came to check on us and drinks were never empty. The Manager was on site and came to check on every table in the restaurant. At the end they made the kids night with a 3-foot cotton candy that they devoured. They definitely know how to make kids feel special and great kids meals for good prices. Will visit again.

My family (6 people) ate dinner at this restaurant after a day of attending Universal City. The " Pick 2 "dinner of Ribs and Tri Tip was really good. Our waiter. Nicholas, was very competent , but his section responsibilities were too large so the service was spotty. We waited far too long for our check.

With a handy location right outside Universal Studios in the City Walk area, this is a great place to grab a low cost, excellent value meal instead of spending more in the Park. Great menu choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner & fun atmosphere with the mechanical bulls to ride if you dare. Service was fast and friendly and the meals large and tasty.

One of the best steaks I have ever had!! I loved the place! I loved the atmosphere!! Definitely one great place to go with a great location.

Very fun joint with great drinks and food. Readers be aware, while there's plenty of square footage, I don't believe they have the staff on hand to quickly seat and serve everyone in a timely manner. We arrived for dinner at 6pm and the crowd was fairly thin, however we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, and the host was running from point A to point B, leaving the front check-in unattended at times, leading some guests to take it upon themselves to grab a menu and seat themselves, only to be redirected back out of the restaurant. We were seated by the very pleasant Kristy. She was very attentive and was able to give equal attention to her tables. The drinks and food were GREAT, the the exception being the ribs. They weren't bad, just not as awesomely seasoned as the tri-tip, bbq chicken and steak. Very good first experience, the bull riders made it fun too.

The menu is extensive! You name it, they probably have it! I had a great steak and my friend had the "mound" of nachos. Both were delicious! Staff is great!

A great array of different dishes to taste. We loved their Sunday brunch as well! Bottomless mimosas at the time. <3

Went on a Thursday evening around 6:30 the place was dead. Lots of staff, who were very friendly. I ordered a New York steak medium - Out came a thin peice of meat burnt in areas on the outside and not much pink inside. It was tough as heck, so tough I had a hard time cutting it and it was full of fat. As I said staff was friendly...liked it other than the food..

After spending a day at Universal Studios, my wife and I decided to have dinner at the Saddle Ranch Chop House outside Universal's main gate. Firstly the staff were very friendly, very helpful, place itself is really great when you are in a wheelchair as most parts of it are flat easy entry. I had a steak with their own home made ranch sauce and sweet potato fries. My wife and I both had cocktails... must warn everyone drinking these was no easy feat. I had a Bullroarer which was mostly Jack Daniels... it comes in a 1litre flask with a straw... very yummy... very potent.. :) Would definately go back there on our next visit to the USA

Spent a day at Universal Studios and had some time to kill before waiting for our taxi so decided to have a small snack before leaving. My partner had the spicy chicken lettuce wraps and he said that it tasted really good! I went for the Ice cream candy Pie - I have to say it's the best dessert I've ever had! I wanted more :) good atmosphere too so thumbs up!

Was hoping for a delicious bite. NOT! For a grill... this was a ZERO! The food had no flavor... drinks were watered down and service was just above poor. If this restaurant was on another location, they would not stay open for long.

We went here about 3:30 pm on a weekday during Christmas Break. It is located right outside of Universal Studios, so we came here to escape the crowds and get away from the park for a bit. It was not crowded. We did have to wait for a bit, I'm not sure why, but we were a group of 8, so maybe that was it? Could have been the time as well? The food was really good. If you ordered fries, you got a HUGE amount. The upgrade to truffle fries was worth every penny. We were all full when we left. It has clean bathrooms. Great place to go if you're headed back into the Studios.

I was staying at 1 of the Universal hotels and came here for dinner after a day in the park. It is right on the square next to the Universal ball. This is a large restaurant with plenty of space. They clearly specialize in meat dishes and the quality is OK. The service here is pretty good although they do try yo up-sell you. They also have S'mores plates that you can cook on the open fires outside. If you are up for it you can try the mechanical bull for fun.

We decided to give this place a try because the kids were tired and didn't want to venture in to the City Walk after a day at the park. We were seated fairly quickly (15 minutes?). That was the highlight of the evening. The server was friendly, but not very attentive (which seemed to get worse the longer we were there). The food service was not stellar and very slow as well. Between the two, we ended up seated in the restaurant for almost 2 hours (the second hour with a sleeping 4 year old who fell asleep waiting for his dinner). The tables and chairs were very cheap and rickety as well, causing drinks to splash all over if someone touched the table the wrong way. The food was decent though, albeit barely warm.. and the portions are pretty huge. I totally over ordered, not knowing this. So decent food, huge servings for the price but slow as molasses. Maybe the restaurant and server were having off nights, but I won't be back to find out. If you have a couple hours to kill and are really hungry, this place is probably for you.

This place has good food and huge portions. The service is usually pretty good although our last visit on a weeknight was a little rough.

On our way into Universal Studios we had lunch at the Saddle Ranch. Friendly staff, large portions and a great atmosphere. You can even ride the bull if you want.

On your right outside as you leave Universal Studios Hollywood. We were seated within 5 minutes! Our waiter was on top of things and the food was good. Actually one of our most economical meals during our visit. We had the filet mignon and the loaded garlic mashed potatoes. My son had the kids sliders. For dessert we could not decide between the 3 foot high cotton candy and the s'mores. When I told the waiter this he brought a kids size cotton candy and a full size order of the s'mores on the house. We had a blast roasting marshmallows outside on the fire and watching people get bucked off the mechanical bull. Overall, one of our best meals of the trip.

Had realllllly good ribs here. The salad is good too. Our server was super fast and while we didn't try it they have this 5 foot tall cotton candy dessert. This is a great place to fuel up before the park!

I hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife at this location. The staff was friendly and very helpful with making the surprise a success. The food was very good, and the service was great. I do recommend checking this place out when visiting Universal Studios or Universal Studio city walk.

This place was a nice break from the action at Universal Studios and is located at the main entrance of the park. The Rib Eye was incredible and the jumbo cotton candy is a must for the kids.

The service here was terrible. It took forever to get food and drinks to the table. The server just disappeared for a long time. Our food was cold and steaks were overcooked. Drinks were watered down and over priced. Most of them tasted like some sort of snapple. No discount for the tremendous wait or poorly cooked food, just a round of snapple shots. Tourist trap and probably one hell of a party on the summer weekends.

We weren't sure at first because the music was kind of loud and it was taking a while for them to set up our table. When we met our waiter it all changed. We had Sean and he was awesome!! He shared tips to make sure we ordered the best items. He was super accommodating but not intrusive, he even had the music turned down for my 78 year old mother who was having a hard time hearing anything else. The food was really good and season pass holders get 20% off!! We got the s'mores for dessert and it was a super fun experience roasting the marshmallows over the campfire. The atmosphere is country western bar type, there is a mechanical bull and 2 huge bars. We were seated outside near the stage and it was clean and relaxing. This is where we will eat every time we visit Universal Studios.

Good food and good service. Fun to watch when someone rides the bull - and falls off! Easy valet parking too. Cocktails massive for $16!

We came on a Sunday night. We were seated right away. wait time was average. Food was OK not the best but was decent.

We drop in for nachos and drinks every time we visit Universal Studios, it's literally next door and has cool western feel and the bartenders are always pleasant and friendly. Always a good time.

I wandered in starving and was treated like I was in a five star resto. They were busy so I expected a wait. Not a chance. The manager grabbed me up and got me inside and started things off. I wish other resto's would run like this. I was constantly attended to and walked away very happy about this place. Food was mainstream and delicious. Everything I ordered was a recommendation of staff and they didn't steer me wrong. Loved it, recommend it.

Very good experience, nice establishment Very good food, ribs , excellent, nice staff, desserts tops I recommend that the French do not hesitate to walk through the door.

We had just had a fantastic day at Universal and we were looking forward to a family meal to finish the day off. The restaurant has a great location and the children were excited to be eating in a western themed environment especially as we were on a trip from Australia with our grandchildren visiting our eldest son and his family - what a great disappointment it turned out to be!! The place was obviously understaffed and after 15minutes of being ignored in a fairly empty place we placed our orders, then 50 minutes later after having to attract the managers attention we finally got our meals well nearly!!, 2 were missing and 3 were wrong, anyway with 3 very tired and upset children under 5 we ate up asked for the bill and left. Reading some other reviews it seems like this is not a one off regarding service and for us it really spoilt a great day out at Universal. The restaurant really needs to lift their game as they are not doing Universal any favours and not living up to the great service we experienced everywhere else on our trip to California.

I went for lunch with a couple of friends, when we were visiting Universal studios. We were attracted by the decoration on the facade of the restaurant. We had to wait a bit outside no matter that there were plenty of free tables and available staff. Waiters were a bit apathetic but bring the food quickly. I have surprised by the size of the portions - really huge. Salad and meat were fine but I did not like the vegetables and rice that I have ordered - no taste at all and were not very well cooked.

My friends and I decided to try this place for the first time and I loved it! The food was delicious, it wasn't crowded and our server was hysterical and did a great job. It's a little pricier but not too bad. I recommend the tri-tip dinner! Insanely good. Will definitely go back!

This was a typical amusement park food. I was not impressed with quality of food. BBQ tri-tip was tuff and chewy. One friend commented he had hard time slicing it to bite sizes. BBQ chicken and rice was a little better but again not impressed. Friendly staff members saves the day with quick and courteous services.

I have visited the Saddle Ranch on Sunset Boulevard 3 times before & it never fails with the delicious food! This time we decided to visit Universal one after a day at Universal Studios. We had the mini sliders, truffle fries and chicken strips & it was all amazing! Our waiter was lovely & couldn't do enough for us, he chatted to us about where we were from & recommended dishes and drinks. I also wanted to purchase a shot glass & there was none available so he kindly let me have the pint glass for the same price! Excellent service, amazing cocktails & great food! Would really recommend if you are looking to enjoy yourself after Universal Studios.

As a group of 6 friends, we opted to make a later lunch reservation (3 pm) before our evening adventure at Universal Studios HHN. The brunch menu was no longer served at 3pm but we knew that going in. I ordered the lettuce wraps and my husband ordered the nacho platter. Both were great for sharing. The service to order could have been more timely but the waiter was polite and observant. Nice beer selection for the men and the drinks were amaze for the ladies. They even brought out a free serving of cotton candy for our birthday gal , presented nicely in a large martini glass. I valued most that we were not rushed and really just had an opportunity to enjoy our food, drinks and conversation.

Friendly staff. Had the bean burger which was delicious. Huge portion sizes. In the end we got a surprise free cotton candy tower!

I assume the high TA rating is due to night time fun. Lunch food was just OK. However, Ella, our server was exceptional.

I would never come back here again. We were there when there was a handful of customers and yet nobody came out to seat us until one lady was on her way to go home but felt bad and seated us. Then our server came and she was less than friendly. Our food took forever to come out and the mac and cheese I ordered was gross. I barely touched it. (which is sad because this girl LOVES mac and cheese!) Just a really bad experience overall. The next time we went to the park we ate at the City Walk before entering the park and had much better service at reasonable pricing.

After a long day at Universal Studios our family of 5 had supper here and we are glad we did. The food was amazing (best meal of our trip) and the service we received was really good.

The food was amazing but the portions were huge so don't over order unless you are starving..... As we couldn't get through the appetisers

Went with hubby - he says one of the best steaks he has had (and he's not easy to please!) Loads of food, great staff and cocktails good too!

I love coming to this restaurant. There are so many options on their menu that anyone can find something delicious to eat! We had steaks that were fantastic, the mashed potatoes were amazing. They give you like a jalapeno cornbread that is super good. I super recommend the cotton candy dessert!!

We just wanted to grab some breakfast before heading into the park. Got seated quickly and drinks order was sorted promptly, but after that our server pretty much neglected us while other tables around were getting service. Food took ages and we had no updates or explanations! Utterly horrendous service!

This restaurant is right outside the universal studios park. We left the park for lunch and to rest. Bet, very friendly and cheerful staff. Variety of foods. Our group got blue cheese and apple salad with chicken - the small portion was very large. One of my teen boys got a burger and fries and the other got pizza. Both were very large potions. My husband got chicken tacos. A little slow to refill the water (we probably needed them filled 4 times ) even with tea also due to all the morning walking. The berry tea unsweetened was excellent. Overall, got in and out in 45 min. We were slightly early for lunch and right in the Hight of Christmas break. I would recommend this place for families.

Great location, right on the Sunset Strip, it’s easy to find and surrounded by tons of nightlife, so it’s a perfect stop before or after going out. Great for people-watching. It can get busy, but that’s kind of the point and part of the experience here. Portions are big, everything comes out hot, and it’s exactly what you want when you’re there. We ordered the nachos and they were huge, great for sharing, and actually flavorful instead of just loaded with cheese for show. Service was solid, especially considering how busy it gets. Our server was friendly, checked in enough without hovering, and kept things moving even with the crowd. Good portions for the price.

When you eat here and get a drink from the bar, they ask for a debit/credit card to hold. Make sure you get it back BEFORE you leave! Otherwise they think you were sitting at the bar, got drunk and lost it. My husband had 2 drinks and I had 1 with dinner. He forgot to get his card back before we left so he went back first thing in the morning to get it and they argued with him saying they didn't have it. Needless to say, after the manager did her deposit, she called with an apology because the waitress stuck the card in the envelope with her deposit at the end of the night. lol

The Saddle Ranch of today is just a hollow shell of what it once was. It used to be a destination restaurant. Now it is just someplace you stop at on the way out of Universal Studios. The furnishings need to be replaced. The food is barely mediocre. The service was attentive, but toward the end of the meal I think it was attentive out of guilt. Try to eat outdoors around the bar. The indoor restaurant is where happiness goes to die.

The good, food was good and tasty a bit expensive, but all California is expensive. The not good, they make you wait at least half hour to give you a seat even though there was plenty of space, maybe they don't have enough personnel?

Let me start off saying the service was amazingly awesome and for that I did not give a 1 star. The portion sizes were big. The ambience was fun and lively. I don't usually like giving less than average 3 stars, but this place has the worse food. But--- the food was HORRIBLE!!! I usually can eat a bad meal, but this food is beyond a bad flavor or difference in consistency-- IT WAS THE WORSE meal. My kids even commented "we didn't know French fries could taste so bad!" I had a kale salad that tasted like vomit, the asparagus tasted like the grill they were prepared on was never cleaned, the steak-- tasted old and super tough. No one in my family enjoyed his meal, which says a lot-- we have travelled the world and eaten many different foods --- but wow-- in California at UNIVERSAL--- this was AWFUL-- save your money -- find a different place at Universal...

it's great that it is open late. suitable for older kids. food is good, prime rib was better then ribeye but they were both tasty. location is close to hotels. our server was super sweet, her name was sara!

Saddle Ranch at Universal Walk. Park right outside the Universal Studios. The bar is wicked, good drinks at decent prices. The food selection is typical tex-mex food which means steaks and tacos etc. The portions are huge, so share if need be

This place was recommended by the salesgirl at Zen Zone.. And I was not disappointed. I sat the bar and all of the employees were really friendly and attentive. I ordered the bbq burger and they brought out biscuit and jalapeño corn muffins. The biscuits and muffins were delicious! I could've settled for just that. The burger came out the way I had ordered it. It was a large serving and generous portions. I left happy. I would one here again and recommend this place to anyone!

A tradional steak house with so much more. Was seated quickly. One dinner was no quite done but they fixed eventually. It was fun watching those who were brave enough to ride the mechanical bull. Love the dessert selection of cotton candy to s'mores at your table. A bit salty but I have a high sensitivity to salt. Overall taste great and was hot.

As we came in and sat down, we were expecting not much for alot of money having just been inside the theme park. What we found was wonderful balance of quite a bit of food for very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. The service was superb! Our waitress was on the ball the whole time and the chef even brought our dinners out to us. Never had to ask for a refill and to is that is a big deal. We ended up not being able to finish everything because there was so much food! Meats were cooked exact and sides were incredible. The manager even took a few minutes to talk to our group. WELL DONE SADDLE RANCH, WELL DONE!

Stopped in here after a train wreck and Wolfgang Pucks restaurant. We had just tried to get chicken there but after taking our money they said they ran out. So we thought Saddle Ranch must have chicken.... Well after going back threw security we made it to Saddle Ranch. WELL, the hostess tells us they can't seat us because they have no staff to help us. It was like 3:00 PM, no staff?? This City Walk needs a complete overhaul. City Walk Orlando is leaps and bounds ahead of this location.

We had a great meal here while on holidays visiting Universal Studios. The ribs were the best we have tasted in a long time. The meals are really big so we didn't have room for dessert but if we did we would have tried making s'mores by the campfire.

Left Universal Studios early to get dinner before a long drive. The restaurant hardly had anyone in it- they made us wait for 15 minutes to sit at a table. Food was pretty good but it took 2 1/2 hours. Dessert is awesome but takes 1/2 hour after your meal. They ruined our experience by making us wait- only a party of 7.

As we were leaving Universal Studios in Los Angeles, we went here for dinner. Service and food is good, albeit limited (no omelets, just scrambled or fried eggs). Onion rings were good, and served with two different dipping sauces and cheese. The hash browns were plentiful and good, but were oversalted. There was a strolling singer-guitarist, who approached us and asked if we wanted him to play a song for us, after which, naturally, he expected a tip. I suppose we could have politely refused, but the entertainment was worth a couple of dollars, at least. Decor is western, and there are two mechanical bulls, which were not operating at the time. Waitstaff is polite and efficient.

It was extremely busy but only had a short wait to be seated. The wait staff were friendly and service was quick.

My ‘very good’ is for the atmosphere as well as the restaurant. I’ve been here about 4-5 times and always have a good time. Lately I’ve been ordering the giant grilled shrimp (that’s not the name of it) and they’re very good. The mixed drinks are normally yummy and they’re huge!! The crowd has been fun every time we’ve gone and the staff seems to go above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied.

We visited the Saddle Ranch on the first evening on our holiday to LA as it was within walking distance of our hotel. The atmosphere was great and it was just what we needed for a quick bite to eat after a long day of travelling! We were too tired to try the bucking bronco but enjoyed watching others give it a go! One of our main meals was slightly delayed and came out a few minutes after the others so we were given a complimentary plate of marshmallows with chocolate dipping sauce! You could melt them over the fires around the outside seating area which was a lovely touch!

They play and show 80's+ music videos as well as sports so there is something for everyone. Good for families.

Fun dining just outside the Universal gate. The fire pits outside to make your own smores are the best! Sunday brunch is a great time to go for bottomless mimosas!

A girlfriend and I visited the Saddle Ranch for dinner while visiting Universal Studios on the advice of a travel agent friend. I had never heard of the Saddle Ranch and frankly, wasn't expecting much. But, wow! So many appetizing choices on the menu, I wanted to try them all! I wish we'd had a longer stay so we could eat here at least once more before going home. I ordered the fried chicken which was done in a jalapeno cornbread batter and was out of this world! Crunchy and tasty on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. It came with sweet potato fries which were really large and prepared perfectly, but what really made them awesome was the marshmallow dip that came with it. They tasted like Christmas! The portions are very hardy, so unfortunately we had no room for dessert. Bummer, because I really wanted to try their chocolate macadamia nut brownie! My friend got the New York steak dinner which must have been pretty good because she practically licked her plate. The only downside of the experience is not knowing when I will be able to get to one again - we don't have a Saddle Ranch in northern California. Yet ...

Chain restaurants don't rate high when it comes to outstanding food. But, this one did offer some decent food. Their burgers were large, tasty and messy. The Thai Peanut crunch and grilled salmon salads scored well. Don't know what others in our graduation party ordered, but they cleaned their plates...always a good indicator. Liked the Western decor and our server was friendly, helpful and very efficient. Parking and crowds don't make CityWalk a desirable destination, but this place is worth a return visit.

Notably, this place serves a complete breakfast and is open early when much of Citiwalk is closed. The service is great and the food is good.

This is just like an old time saloon both inside and out. There is a mechanical bull in each restaurant plus more authentic memorabilia from the world of rock and film. The meals are huge in size and are average price for a theme park and there is a huge menu. The staff are really friendly and very efficient There is also a Sadle Ranch on Sunset Boulevard close to the Chateau Marmont Hotel. Several films and series have been filmed in here. This place is really worth a couple of hours of your time.

We were able to sit outside and grab a drink at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. the Saddle Ranch Chop House offers a variety of food. We order some alcholic drinks that were brought in very large glasses and tasted really good. My husband order the appetizer platter of nachos and a sampler platter. Was HUGE and we shared it with our group of 9. Service was a bit slow but was a great excuse to rest awhile after walking all over the park.

Nothing to write home about pretty average. I'll give them a few extra points for making my daughter a gluten free burger. She can't be near any gluten at all and the manager took the time to talk to her though really didn't have many suggestions as to what she might eat. Also, one of our party wanted to ride the bull and we got passed off four times to other people "oh talk to so and so" we finally gave up.

We were looking for somewhere to eat right after Universal Studios and this was right outside. We immediately thought the food would be terrible but we were wanting to wait out the busy LA commute traffic so we decided to stop. I'm glad we did. They have a nice menu and although it is a chop house they have a lot of sandwiches and other lighter fare. My husband had the burger which he said was great (it was huge). I had the BLT which was also very good. My sister and son also loved their food. At the end of the visit my son was falling asleep as it was a long day for him but our waiter brought us a free dessert. It was SMORES to make outside in their open fire pits. They have bull riding, a lot of TV's and open fire pits. It was a great place. We took the amores home since my son was so tired and made them in the fire pit in our rental.

First off the service was great, our waitress was right on top of things at all times. It did take a little while to get our food but when it arrived we were not disappointed. These burgers are not your typical fast food burger which looks like and sometimes tastes like a think piece of cardboard. The burgers were thick and juicy with plenty of toppings. Also at some places you wonder if they could spare the small amount of cheese that put on their burgers, but here the cheese was also thick a chewy. I ordered fries as my side and I got enough for 2 people as my girlfriend partook of a lot of them and I still could barely finish them. We had planned to get one of their desserts but we were so full we did not have the room. I look forwards to going back and trying to find something a little less filling so I can manage the desserts.

One hour waitin on a coffe and a ssanduich.unbeliveable! And at the time of paying the server show a lot of interest.that man didnt receive no tip from me

We both had the chopped chicken salad - he had the "normal" size, I had the "lighter" version. The "lighter" version was still a huge salad!!! We both enjoyed our salads so much. The Saddle Ranch is cleverly decorated, and is located right near the entrance to Universal Studios. We were staying at the Hilton directly across from Universal Studios, so this was verrrrry convenient, and very reasonably priced. So glad we gave it a try!!

This place had awesome reviews on yelp & so we decided to give it a try. We had two 11 yr old girls with us & so we were a little hesitant at first. Boy, are we glad we made the trip, though. Eating here was one of the culinary heights of our trip. The steaks were delicious & the fun was out of this world!

Great restaurant!! Fun place located right at Hollywood Studios! Food was amazing too! Service was great! Had a good time with my wife and two kids. Highly recommended!!!

We just went here because it was right outside the gates of Universal and we were exhausted and tired of crowds. I'm so glad we did!! The service was EXCELLENT, the food was good and the drinks were nice! The food was also very generous, and I'm guessing most patrons are travelers like us, so order accordingly if you want to avoid leftovers. I recommend the dry rub ribs, the truffle mac and cheese and the spinach. We didn't know about the s'mores, but they gave us one anyway. It was so fun to sit and make s'mores! We shared with a couple of kids (with parent permission of course) because there was so much! Great find due to laziness!

This restaurant literally brings your food out on a platter. The waiting staff were very good and we were thoroughly impressed with the price of the 1L cocktails. Food was reasonably priced, considering it was in the Universal Walkway. The atmosphere on the night we went was a little quiet, but that is expected on a Wednesday. Great for families who have spent the day at Universal Studios. Their steaks were very nice, and came with a good range of sides.

Took our kids and teen age grand daughters here. Loved the variety of foods offered, service was very good and food was yummy. We will definitely visit here again.

Just tried to grab a quick lunch with my daughter, after checking in at a hotel close by. I waited at the entrance, the place was empty, about 3 or 4 groups seated, but even so no one came to offer me a table. I walked to one of the waiters, asked if I could seat, but she told me to go back to the entrance and wait for someone. Well, I did, but after noticing that no one would come to attend me, I left... Really bad first impression, not planning on trying again...

Nice menu and good food. The place is very loud and they take your credit card when you place on order because they are afraid you'll take off without paying your bill.

Not the best place to stop when exiting Universal Studios Hollywood, as we did. They were short staffed, food was cold and expensive for the quality. I'd keep walking, tons of great spots just down the way a bit.

Great barbecue. I got the 3 choice meal with ribs, brisket and chicken. The chicken was my favorite followed by the ribs. Assume food poor service by our waitress...had our food before we ever saw a glass of water! They were not very busy either. Was fun to watch people ride the mechanical bull. They had one inside and another outside.

Although the ribs were great, the added items on our chosed meal fell well short of tasty. And noisy!!!

Hostess at the front entrance directed us to the bar area to eat, we sat no one approached us i finally asked where was the waitress?? Response was um we closed this part because its a club area after 8. So we had to wait for a table 38 more minutes, in the cold outside. Finally we are sat and the table was stinky because of being cleaned with a dirty cloth, it almost made me puke. The waitress was very nice, but lets say the food was like you can get at sizzlers.. cheaper. My bff is drowning his sorrows in his speciality drink so he 'arite.

When looking for a gluten free menu, either the staff here are mis informed or the chef has some strange recipes. Even the mashed potatoes we were told are NOT gluten free. They wait staff felt so bad about the lack of choices that they gave us some freebies, but still could not have a decent meal here.

Great place to end your day after day full of activities in universal studios or just to have a delicious dinner in cool atmosphere. Place is well designed and decorated, food is delicious and in decent portions. Staff very responsive.

I was recently in LA for a Universal Trip and visited Saddle Ranch twice. The food was amazing. The staff was awesome (Ara & Amy). AND bottomless mimosas for $15. I've been thinking about this place since I left. I can't wait to go back!

The only reason it didn't get a 5 Star was the service was a little slow. It is a very nice place and the food was excellent as were the prices considering we were in Universal. We would return for sure.

Great place to eat after a long day at Universal. They have great desert for kids, and the staff are really great. Just don't go with the family on a late night weekend, the location takes on more of a bar feel.

having a girls night out, first time here.. good location, good atmoshpere, our waitress was pretty friendly, talkative suggested a veggie burger cajun style... which was a good choice i LOVED it nice and spicy.. will deffinetly go back for that.. had live entertainment besides the music... did wait awhile for food but it was ok... we overall had a decent time....

You will not leave this restaurant hungry. We had a party of 8 and the large menu satisfied everyone's lunch cravings. There is a lot of food for the price and there is even adult beverages.

I like how they are open late at night. Its spacious, and their food servings are huge!! Love their tacos, but not much varieties.

There appeared to be some confusion about who our waitress was so we were left for quite a while with nothing, they were mortified when they found out and offered us free drinks and dessert that said the food is good just watch out for the service

Our food was pretty good; large portions too. We tried the steak, ribs, and chicken dinners and all were good. However, our service was very slow.

The four of us (my wife, and two girls 18 and 11) ate here after a long day at Universal. This was simply the best service and best food we had the entire time we were in LA. Our waiter, Dan, was exceptional, brought us drinks quickly on a hot day, made great recommendations and kept the kids entertained, Service was quick, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend the chopped salad (small size). The manager on duty even stopped by to ask us how we were, We left a big tip as a way to say 'thank you'. Kudos to this restaurant - we will definitely be back!

Steak was really tasty, and reasonable. Desert looked impressive but wasn't that great tasting. Cocktails pretty average but service good.

so i went here with my bud one day when we were staying at universal city, i had the fried chicken in gravy. the less we say about what happened after the better. but its usually decent stuff. dont eat the marshmallow dip that comes with the Sweet Potato Fries, its horrible.

Right outside the entrance to the theme park so it's very convenient. That's the good. Bland food, slow service, LONG wait just to get seated, and overpriced even for a theme park. Continue along the city sidewalk another hundred meters for more/better dining options.

I never been here before and I have to tell you it was a great surprise, we went there for breakfast it was really good big plates lots of food , only thing its once u close u bill thne the bottom less drinks are no longer available, we just wanted to make sure our Son did not pay the bill but now we know lol Love it we will going to go there once a month for breakfas

The food was decent but nothing too special, the salad is a bit heavy so if you're looking for something fresh i would suggest looking elsewhere. I still enjoyed it though but it was a bit heavy for a salad and the steak was cooked well but nothing too special. I guess it just costed that tiny bit extra as its next to universal studios. Our bartender was nice but we were seated in an area where there was an uncomfortable stench that I couldn't put my hands on.

Our experience started out a little questionable. We were told there was a 20 min wait. After 15 minutes we were taken in to nearly an empty restaurant. I was wondering how they could be on a wait when only 25% of the tables had people at them? Anyway our server Kyle came over & changed the whole experience! He was awesome! Telling us first timers about the menu. Our food was brought out quickly & was really good! Finished dinner off the the delicious cotton candy tower! We loved it here & wish we had one near where we live!

Very satisfied with our stop here! One friend was in love with his steak, the other enjoyed her sandwich and I had some serious feelings for my salad...the dressing was delicious! Enjoyed the covered outdoor seating as well as watching people make an attempt at staying on the mechanical bull!

My husband and I brought out of state guest here for lunch, total a party of 12. Upon the arrival we were told they were really busy and the wait was 30 to 45 min. After waiting for 40min I decided to walk in and look around. Who's ever reading this you have to sit down for this one: the place was EMPTY literally. I damn neared passed out. Long story and emotions cut short, so after taking pictures I come back out to alert my husband not wanting to upset our guest, we then go back in to speak with manager only being told manager not available. We were then seated. There is more to this story like no the bull riding is not up, or like oh did you order a drink reply [ like yes 2hrs ago]. Save yourself the time go else where trust. I really feel for the investors it's employees like this that makes a company go into bankrupt and the investor has no idea why? And the bad part is the food is really good. Advice for the investors, CHECK ON YOUR BUSSINESS [ NO JOKES]. YOUR VACATION CAN WAIT....

Sat down at 11 am, finally got food an hour later. Everyone who ordered got theirs ahead of ours. When our food finally showed up, I was too upset to even enjoy it!

Compared to other Saddle Ranch’s this one is budget. Service is dismissive and sub pair. We asked about the bull riding and they acted like that was not a thing….we were at the Saddle Ranch. Food was good, still worth a visit.

We visited the saddle ranch on sunset and we were greeted by such friendly staff. The food was fantastic, me and my wife shared the Monster Platter and yes it was a monster size but very tasty! The staff looked after us and introduced themselves, management even shook our hands to welcome us. After the monster platter we were sitting enjoying our drinks when suddenly the manager gave us a 3 foot tall candy floss stand!! On the house!! It was worth about $10 on the menu for desserts and he just gave it to us for free. After the monster platter it was overwhelming but we managed what we could! I would go back next time I am in LA. The happy hour is between 4-7pm and that's half price on drinks and appetisers which is great.

Typical corporate chain food. Overpriced and mediocre. We came here between lunch and dinner and told there was a 10 minute wait. The restaurant was about 15% full. That tells me they are lacking in staff. Our waitress was very good. She was working the bar serving drinks and waiting tables. I give her credit. It's hard to do that. Yes, service was a little slow but this corporate trap has a good employee. We ordered onion rings. Pretty good. Not awful, not great. Same with the caesar salad. The beef tacos - the sirloin was little pieces very tough and had so much sauce on them, you couldn't taste the meat. I wasn't expecting wonderful food - this is a tourist trap in a tourist trap location, located right outside of the entrance to Universal Studios but I was hoping it would be a little better than it was. It has a country western theme yet the music and videos on the TV was 80's rock. Interesting. I was ok with that, just found that an interesting choice of music.

We went there with a couple of friends for breakfast before heading to Universal Studios. We waited way too much (more than 30 min), taking away some time we planned to spend in the park. The food was just ok. The orange juice tasted like water, avoid it. Our waitress, Jenna, was just amazing! She was nice, always available and apologized for the wait by giving us a free drink.

Service was really slow even though no one was around. Took 10 minutes to get seated...10 min to get a menu....20 min to get drinks. Food was overpriced and mediocre. Bland...bland...

Visited this venue whilst on holiday, it's everything you want from a restaurant on Sunset Boulevard, it's a big, brash, sports bar/diner that serves equally big and brash platefuls of food. The staff are brilliantly Hollywood-yip we were served by an actor who was working her way through acting school. She was fantastic, extremely welcoming and knew the menu inside out. If you want a steak this is definitely the place to come, it has all the trimmings and you'll certainly leave full. Oh yeah and I also had the huge sundae which because I finished it I received a massive candy floss on the house! There is the usual selection of beers and mine came in a Saddle Ranch glass ($10 if you want to take it home-i did!). A fun dining experience with all the Hollywood cliches. Simply brilliant!

Really positive experience. Quaint ranch-themed place and super food. The fish tacos is yes an indescribable goodness and made with quality products. Super helpful and kind staff, I recommend it!

We met a large group with kids here after a project. We were seated quickly, and the friendly server was quick to get our drinks and order. We found the ribs to be the best menu item. There are also salads and steaks that are average - but the ribs were excellent.

Just keep things simple and get the nachos! Is listed on the menu as an appetiser but can easily be shared by 2 people as a main course. We ate lunch here during our day at Universal Studios, was nice to escape the business of everything inside and catch our breath. Would definitely recommend it!

Restaurant serving mainly meat dishes (excellent). On the other hand, inside: Mood of saloon with music background, Rodeo machine... Nice, if you want a drink but untenable if it's for dinner.

During our trip in LA we decided to go to Universal City Walk. While there, there were many restaurants to choose from, this one caught our eye. It's right near the Universal Studio Ball. The place is fairly big. The selection of food pretty good. The restaurant has a mechanical bull. A few customers gave it a try, most of them fell pretty quick, but it was entertaining. The staff was very attentive. A manager was going from table to table checking on the customers. The music in the restaurant was pretty good, mostly old school music when we were there.

Great experience - great meal and services. No problem with big group to get meal fast. Lot of fun. :-)
Disappointing Visit
The first restaurant we came across after a day at Universal however we really wished that we walked further down. We waited fifteen minutes for a table which was fine except when we were seated there were only a few others there. The lemonade I was served was basically water, I asked for another and it was only slightly better. We ordered pizza but they came out very burnt. The pizza wasn't great, I've had better shop bought ones! Overall a very disappointing meal here after a great day.
