I was here for my three meals for medical reasons my doctor recommended me the place for its healthy food. Selene was a great and everyone else offered me a great experience.

We had dinner here earlier this evening. Service was very good. They had our order within a few minutes from the time we put down the menus. The kitchen was fast and we had our Calamari appetizer 10 minutes later. The Calamari was fresh and tender and plentiful. At $15 it was a fair value. Our main dishes arrived a few minutes after we finished the Calamari. My wife had the Safina salad with Salmon and she commented that it was delicious. At $27 it was also a fair value. I had Spaghetti Bolognese and while it was a little off with Chick Peas added. Once I removed them it turned out to be quite nice. At $22 it was also a fair value.

Newly opened in the Intercontinental Hotel near the medical center, I was excited to have a new dining experience within walking distance. I usually uber to Goody's Seafood - which is excellent, but was excited to have a new restaraunt within walking distance of Med Center hotels. Sorry to say the menu was a bit pricey, and the selection was not quite to my liking, but not giving up. I will go back in 3months and try again. The building is beautiful and newly constructed, so exceptionally clean. If the restaraunt adds a few lower priced menu items (crab cakes and fish tacos would be nice) or happy hour specials this could become a popular stop for those at the medical center

It was great! The server Gabriella was super nice and professional! My food was excellent I was by myself and it was great wine was great! Will go back!

Usually eat in the hotel one night then out rest of my stay. After a delicious smoked short rib the first night returned the second night. The fish entre was well prepared and very tasty. Glad I stayed in!

Very good food quality and service. Angelita is our server and she is really nice. I will highly recommend Safina to our friends.

Carl, the best bartender ever had..he knows a lot of bar tending..great sense of humor and a very very great people person..the whole stay so far at this Intercontinental Hotel has been amazing..

I was part of a group dinner at Safina. The food was excellent - I highly recommend the delicious lamb chops. Salads were another highlight. The service staff is learning - our hummus appetizer arrived during the main course. However, they rewarded us with delicious comped desserts. I would be happy to go again. They’re learning, but the staff was enthusiastic, friendly, and trying hard. And the food - top notch. The kitchen is clicking.

I sat at the bar on a not so busy Sunday afternoon. Service was excellent, bar was clean and the food was delicious! I would definitely dine here again

Loved loved loved how the staff here is all so friendly, caring and makes sure you are very happy !! Very clean and they practice COVIID distancing as well !! Food is GREAT!! The steak is to die for !!

The food was tasty. Serving was marvelous. We were served by Angelita. Very nice and professional lady. Everything was excellent

Fantastic experience! I had the wagu ribs and they were amazing. I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes which were some of the best I have ever had. Our waitress, Angelita, was super friendly and responsive. The drinks from the bar were 10/10. I would highly recommend!

Chef Harol Ortiz is a soft spoken culinary talent. His menu at Safrina is outstanding. Fresh. Creative. Beautifully presented. Balanced flavors.

Menu is broad enough to have something for almost everyone. Food is good but service is excellent and atmosphere is relaxing. We eat here very often and are never disappointed.

Worthy to try if you’re in the area. Nice ambiance. Wine list adequate. Appears to be working hard to improve. The shrimp dish was very good. I think there’s a free parking arrangement for 1.5 hours.

The atmosphere is delightful, service was excellent and the menu boasts a wide variety of dishes. Hostess was very welcoming and pleasant. Very enjoyable evening.

Great meal. Had a substantial piece of salmon that was cooked perfectly with a Cesar salad. Loved the seasoning on the fish. It was delicious. Angelita was fabulous and very attentive. Will definitely return.

What an excellent experience in every way! The mediterranean usuals ie. hummus is done with a varied twist which is fantastic for a change! Also, the portions are ample and the menu is great to order a few things to share because of the variety and you just want to try it all! When we go back to Houston for an extended time I would love to return!

Angelita was very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful, allowing table conversation.

I eat here frequently when I am in town for medical appointments. The food is always good and I appreciate the healthier options they offer. I tried the chai coconut power bowl. (Coconut milk, chia seeds, fresh berries and pistachios) It was delicious!! The staff are so friendly, attentive, and helpful! Thank you Marco and Cansu for your service and warm hospitality!!!

I had breakfast at this place for 19 days, was fantastic, quality of food, and variety American- Middle eastern dishes, made this place special. The managers are super friendly, and provided a very good service. Only issues... Breakfast ends at 10:30 AM , I was at family vacation trip and some of the waiters were little hostile with us when we arrived at 10:15 . and the breakfast combos and buffet offered are quite complex and non convenient.

The restaurant is really beautiful, with orchids, pictures, clean tables and great service. The mediterranean food is really great with several options to choose. We ate the buffet breakfast with cold and hot food and the had fresh products always.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel for three nights and arrived at 9 PM our first night. We were pleased to see that Safina Restaurant in the hotel was open for dinner. It was just what we needed. The service was outstanding and food was excellent, much better than we expected for a restaurant in a hotel. We ate there all three mornings for breakfast and enjoyed every meal. The waitresses for breakfast were exceptional and the coffee was the best. We’ll stay at this hotel and eat at Safina on our next trip to Houston.

This was my first time staying at this hotel and this restaurant helped to make my stay very special. The steak, ribs, and burger were outstanding! So was the service. Thank you, Angelita. You are an angel in disguise, ensuring that my family and I were more than satisfied. I will definitely come back.

Carl is the best !! Great service and even better food and drinks. I often visit Safina for lunch and dinner and my time is always enjoyable. I encourage everyone to come and visit. This place never disappoints.

We had the charcuterie board and chicken salad sandwich. Also, had a stellar Old Fashioned! Excellent.

We had a dozen meals at the Sofina. All were at a level higher than one would expect at a hotel in Houston. Staff is excellent and accommodating. Drinks are fine, and the surroundings are socially spaced for safety. For anyone in a medical center facility, having a meal at Sofina is a good bet. Prices are amazingly modest.

Cocktails were amazing. 100% recommend the Grey Goose Vanilla fig spritz. Fredy took amazing care of us, can’t wait to come back for another date night. The new cocktail menu has something for everyone!

Review (Revised): I started with the cheese and charcuterie board. Everything was delicious and the strawberry jam was a standout. For my entrée I had the seafood pasta which was fresh, perfectly cooked, and paired with a spot on sauce. My water glass never dipped below half full and the Lagunitas IPA was crisp and refreshing. Service was excellent. Angelita was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made the experience even better. The manager also stopped by to check in which was a nice touch of quality assurance.

Never even answered the phone to answer questions about their menu or take an order. We stayed next door but were not able to get anyone at the restaurant on several attempts.

While staying at Wyndham hotel my aunt wanted some home made soup; so I went next door to get her some. It was very good!

I was here about two weeks ago for work and used room service once and had a few lunches and I thought it was terrible. But back again and have had to do breakfasts and lunches here and found the restuarant totally changed, Maybe I was here with a substitute chef or some other reason but this time- it was really good. The croissant chicken sandwich was excellent and were the one dinner I had with lamb chops- perfectly cooked and lots of them. The lentil soup is very good- although it should be hotter0 and the breakfasts were all great. So accept my apologies- this restaurant is now really good.

Excellent around great chef choices on the menu Mediterranean snacks, brussels sprouts, and the main course was the lamb shank, with large arrays of salads choices you can add protein to it as you like, finally the dessert with five to six different choices to pick very pleasant experience

Angelita our server lived up to her name. She was an angel. During a stressful time here at MD Anderson she made us feel so welcomed and the food was unbelievably delicious. Try the Seabass !!!! doing

After a long drive, we enjoyed a really pleasant dinner at this restaurant in the new Intercontinental Hotel. We usually stay at another hotel on our frequent visits to Houston but it was sold out and we decided to try this newly opened hotel, in part because the restaurant was intriguing. It is so new that few people have found it thus far, at least on a weeknight, so there was no wait for our choice of tables in this beautifully designed, contemporary space. The service was exceptional and the well-curated menus, both food and beverage, were appealing. We tried glasses of Moroccan and Lebanese wines, both of which were surprising and enjoyable. The beet salad was a standout -- beautiful to the eye and very tasty with accents of a tart goat cheese and bits of lemon zest. The house salad with lemon vinaigrette and crisp pita croutons was also very good. We enjoyed the salmon on a bed of whipped potatoes, lightly scented with lemon. And also enjoyed the branzinni, served whole with a savory mixture of olives, capers and brussel sprouts. The food was very good, but the most enjoyable part of the evening was the service, both from our waiter and the restaurant manager. Both were happy answer questions and offer advice, but they also did a great job of being there when we needed them, but allowing us to enjoy a rare night for just the two of us to enjoy a lovely dinner and conversation. The hotel and Safina are on Main Street across from Texas Medical Center and a couple of blocks from Rice University and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Sarina is Delicious as always. Angelita, Vanessa and Rainier, more than waiters are incredible people, almost family.

We've been to dinner twice and I could go more. The food is excellent. Angelita attended us very much and all the staff are very friendly. The place is nice and if you crave a drink or cocktail there is good variety

My wife and I stayed two nights at the IHC Medical Center, a new hotel in the middle of Houston's Medical District. One evening, which happened to be my wife's birthday, we enjoyed a fine dining experience in Safina. The particular selection of Mediterranean food offered was not familiar to us, but with the suggestions and guidance from the server we were able to really enjoy something different yet delicious to us. We also had breakfast the next morning, which is more of a work in progress. The buffet was not refilled and the servers stumbled over who (and when) to serve us coffee. But, everyone was well-intended and friendly, and doubtless their breakfast service will improve too. A little pricey, but recommended.

Very good Mediterranean cuisine. The space is open and lovely, in the Intercontinental Hotel in the heart of the medical complex. We went once for brunch, on Mother’s Day. The food was excellent. They really know how to cook eggs, a lost art elsewhere. Great bacon and chicken apple sausage. Our earlier lunch was also good. A nice array of food. Dinner prices, though, look a little high. Service is good. Recommended.

Food was ok, service was really bad. They took a while to serve the food, and after that we never saw the waitress again. Beautiful place but horrible service.

Food was good, but small portions. The main issue is it was overpriced and excessive (I realize hotels charge more)...hummus for 14 dollars with tax! Why! We wanted to try the place. Service was average, waiter did what he had to do but nothing to be happy about. I would not come here again.

Great Great service lovely hostess The staff was outstanding the food was delicious every one was very kind and so was the waitresses at our dinner table And the manager was out standing. I will be bringing my husband back with us next time we come recommending it to our family friends

Very nice environment but amateur service. Food - Meh; I guess the prices weren't too bad for the quality of food, but wish we had just sat in the lobby bar

The whiskey collection was awesome. Fully displayed and beautiful. Fredy is very knowledgeable and creates a very welcoming atmosphere. Not to mention he makes one of the meanest old fashioned I’ve ever had. 10/10 would reccommend coming to visit Safina and unwinding with one of the great whiskey cocktails they have to offer.

Great service Carl was a great bartender. I ate the Caesar salad and it was fresh. Thank you for such fine service. I will be returning soon! Will recommend people to visit great service you won’t want to miss.

This is a great spot for a quiet dinner if you want to have an actual conversation with your group since it is very quiet inside. The food was also tasty and the service great. We will come again!

I stopped here for a breakfast before going to one of the medical centres in the area and I've ordered some poached eggs with bacon. The breakfast wasn't bad, but not superb either, .... but it was very expensive for such a basic plate.
Sparse decor, good food & service
Table and chairs were comfortable, but the layout and decor felt too barren and I usually like modern clean spaces, this felt like a large empty cafeteria with a small bar in middle. I had salmon - which was nice and prepared appropriately. I saw a professional barista machine at the bar so I asked for a chai tea latte. The lady at the bar opened a binder (I suppose to find a recipe?) and I was brought a strange brew of coffee with some flavorings. Eventually they figured out to use just a chai tea latte mix — which was just so-so.
