The place had an ambience that was wonderful but the noise level from inside, to the kitchen, and to outside was nerve wrecking. The entire time I had to keep saying what did you say to my colleagues. They did as well. Luckily the shuttle dropped us off cause parking seemed difficult. Lastly the food needs salt, salt for flavor vs preventing salt for health reasons just don't go hand in hand. The mashed potatoes were cold and lifeless, similar to box potatoes. We'll go to 52 next time like we planned originally.

The place was packed on a Wednesday night (always a good sign) so we sat in the bar. The musician was very good and played music that fit the restaurant perfectly. I decided to try the hangar steak special - I had never had hangar steak and wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was great asparagus, unbelievably cream sweet mashed potatoes and a steak that was one of the best I've had. We had been to Capital Grille previously and, although I thought that place was great, if I had to choose one place, I'd go back to Sage Woodfire Tavern. The place was amazing!!

It was an awesome dining experience. The food was awesome and the staff very attentive. The portions were spot on. Come hungry and expect a great experience. DO make reservations!

been there several times...service is understaffed....the ac has been out all summer...they actually have the windows open and an industrial home depot floor fan running...in august...its clear mgmt is losing money and to save they dont adequately staff and cannot pay to repair utilities necessary for customer and staff comfort....i would be embarrassed if i ran this this dump....oh and the free happy hour food..its disgusting roadkill meatballs slathered with ketchup and mayonaise...absolutely gross...go to Luna behind them...excellent and edible food...1/2 price happy hour every day ac is always on and the staff is plenty and friendly

The menu was a mix of southern, steakhouse, Italian, seafood, & large selection of appetizers/small plates. The restaurant was very dark, from the wood decor to the lighting. The bar area was brighter than the restaurant, with blue neon backlit tables and bar. My dinner companions all ordered small bites while I ordered the steak Parisian. My steak was cooked perfectly and I was able to substitute a baked potato for the steak fries. The steak flavor was smokey and delicious, my companions thought their dishes were so-so. Our server and her shadowing trainee were pleasant & responsive. It didn’t feel like there was a unifying identity to the restaurant whether in menu or atmosphere and the seating area was entirely too dark to see.

Business lunch for 5. Waiter was respectful of our time and very aware of our needs, great service good food. Ahah tuna salad very good presentation and good flavor. 2 salmon salads very good and 1 meat loaf that was very good. Good food, great presentation and wonderful service. A return trip soon.

Upon the recommendation of a friend who lives within the vicinity of ”Sage”, I decided to visit the restaurant on a Monday night. Since I was dining alone, I chose to sit at the bar...having made this choice, I now know it to be the reason why I will return with eagerness. Alecia, the bartender who catered to my unspoken wants, was fantastic. She walked me through the “Sage” experience with enthusiasm and the best strawberry lemon drop martini that I’ve ever tasted. I had no expectations for this my first and certainly not my last visit to “Sage”...if I had hoped to have had a fair to middling experience, I would be too embarrassed to admit such. Wonderful atmosphere, great food and libations, and a personality of professionalism extraordinaire, was top notch-I AM A FAN. I’ve thanked my friend for the recommendation...Alecia and staff a “Sage”, I thank you for my experience. Patrick Reels

Took a business group here - great food, great service, AND it was quiet enough with live acoustic music that we could actually hear each other during dinner - overall a great experience

I went here for a business dinner. The food was pretty good and the service was nice. I was not impressed when served a Manhattan, as it was mostly vermouth... but other than that, I enjoyed it the food and wine.

We went because this place looked so great and the menu seemed amazing. Well...for the prices they are charging they need to revamp the chefs cooking. The food was just ok. Also it had a bit of a snooty feel. I have been to plenty of high end restaurants and not had this vibe. Overall it was disappointing in every way. I wouldn't waste my money on average food where they charge as though it's Mortons Steakhouse.

The room was too dark, the music too loud and there were not very many tables to accommodate a working lunch for 5. Our waiter was friendly enough but took a long time to bring our drink order and when he did show up it was with the incorrect drinks. The grilled salmon was good but nothing extraordinary. Overall the entire experience was was quite frankly forgettable.

Nice menu but mediocre execution. Service was attentive, not intrusive. Average meat at prime cost. Kansas City strip could pass for Longhorn. In my opinion a much better lunch than dinner choice. Disappointing quality.

After making a spur of the moment reservation, we decided to try this restaurant for the first time. We were pleasantly greeted and seated promptly. The atmosphere was to our liking for a cozy meal. Things did not get off to a great start once we were taken to our table. After sitting there for 10-12 minutes, we finally inquired of the hostess if she knew who our server was. Apparently, a mix up had taken place on table assignments to the staff. Jason finally came over, apologized and began to take our order. We were instantly in love with the warm bread and olive oil with cheese, tomatoes, green onions and balsamic. I could have made this my meal! Instead, I ordered the Woodfire Grilled Salmon topped with Artichokes and Lump Crabmeat. It came with Wild Rice and Sautéed Haricot Vert. All were delicious. My husband had the Meatloaf with Mushroom Bordelaise served with Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes. It is usually accompanied by seasonal vegetables. My husband had this substituted by Brussels Sprouts which were divine. Food presentation was lovely and portions were plentiful. Jason did a fine job of tending to our needs. I wish we were able to have dessert.....unfortunately, we were simply too full!

Kudos to Calvin. Service was awesome. Dinner (filet) was good. But what made our dinner, was the outstanding friendliness and knowledge of our server Calvin.

Everything was perfect from the menu to the service. We had the appetizer of Rosemary shrimp, a huge portion of the iceberg salad split between two of us which could have served 4 instead of two. Half rack of ribs which looked like a full rack, a ribeye, and the petite filet. The only complaint was the filet was too small for the price. Still a good value since all entrees come with sides instead of everything being ala carte. Because it was my birthday they brought us a creme brûlée on the house. It was also very tasty. Definitely will be back. Bread was good. Wine by the glass is reasonably priced.

Our food was delicious, husband ordered the Ribeye, melts in your mouth, our serer was very courteous but not very helpful because she was new. she was very sweet and are meal was wonderful, would most definitely come back!

Food was good, great wine selection & drinks, live music Challenging to park during peak times, and the music, though great, was a bit too loud at first (was turned down later as the crowd noise was turned up)

Outstanding large burger with sauteed mushrooms and onions and I improvised by putting goat cheese on it. Fries perfect and lobe how they do Caesar. Great service at bar too

Service and food was very good here. Our group had a cordoned off room and we were treated very well.

I'd scheduled a small group of 20 people for my parent's anniversary dinner and overall it was pretty good! Our waiters were nice, although we had to keep hunting them down to get refills on water. The service gets an A- and my meal received a B. I ordered the lamb and it was tough, very tough, but the portion was decent. The risotto tasted more like soft rice instead of pasta but it wasn't bad. The spinach was good! Overall, I would give this visit a B+ based on everything I went through for the reservation for my group (I won't go into details), the food and the tight fit in space we had for our party. The crammed 20 of us into a section that was probably more comfortable for 12-15 people...but oh well. I'll be back, I've had better experiences there so this one will not deter me. I probably would not plan another large group dinner there though.

They accommodated a party of 12 with out prior notice. And, much to my surprise, the service was good. The waitress did a really good job of ensuring she got everyone's orders correct. AND, they brought everything out at the same time -- AND to their credit, all of the entrees were hot. I was really impressed with the effort the female waitress put forth -- she was attentive, but not over bearing. She knew the menu, she just really was a professional and didnt get flustered with serving such a large party. I dont think anyone in our party ordered the same thing -- and everything looked really good! I ordered the diver scallops, which were served on a bed of risotto. The scallops were delicious, the risotto was good but not the best ever. I also substituted potatoes for the green beans. Nice sized portion, but by the time i got to them they were kind of cold and hard (not the restaurants fault). I will def eat here again and try other selections on the menu.

Me and my lady try new restaurants once a month. Sage was perfect. The food was incredible and the drinks were perfect. Very eclectic menu. Worth the date.

Was in town during resturant week. Great menu for lunch with huge portions. The chocolate cake was fabulous

Wonderful food, atmosphere, and service! Our cocktails came out a little slow but were very good. The shrimp app was tasty and the stuffed mushrooms were very good. I had the Mediterranean tuna and it was amazing!! Friendly server.

Came for work lunch meeting. Eyes had to adjust when walking in, so dark. Music loud and could barely hear the waiter. Food was a little above average (hence average rating versus poor) but I’ll never go back. Who wants a nightclub atmosphere in the middle of the day?

I have been to Sage four times for both business and pleasure, and sadly, all four times have been a complete disaster. This most recent trip was for a large group dinner, and this experience was not unlike the ones in the past. The staff couldn't decide who was going to discuss the evenings specials, and handed over the talking to another server in the middle of the specials. The servers also couldn't figure out how to manage the orders of a group, and could not answer questions about food allergies and the menu. Additionally, it took the food over and hour to arrive, and all the while the servers would not bring out bread for the tables despite numerous requests. Our reservation was for 6:30pm, and by time we received our dinner it was nearly 8pm. As previously states, this tends to be a trend at the restaurant, whether you are with a large dining group, or just a table of two. I would recommend spending your time and money elsewhere!

Waste of time.. Took my parents for Mother's day.. Super Loud Environment because of the table next to us celebrating a birthday.. Nonetheless, The best thing there is the calamari. The Bruschetta is bad.. Bread was not edible at all it was so stale! So, the entree's.. The Pecan Sea Bass.. Drenched in oil and Soggy.. So Hard to Eat.. Like the Mashed Potatoes.. My dad got the Ribeye and that was just fatty and He said it tasted like they unfroze the meat.. Wow.. Ouch! Yeah Definitely Not returning here... !

If you come in from the sunshine, be prepared. Sage is extremely dark inside. Although we enjoyed the service, cuisine and surroundings, we found the restaurant to be extremely dark. Turn on the lights already! Enjoyed the salmon entrée with a Caesar salad.

I ate a Sage about 5 years ago, We decided to try it out again. We went this past Saturday 2 July. I had the NY Strip, my wife had the Grouper. My memory must favor nostalgia I recall that it was very good when we had last visited. The NY Strip was over priced and mostly tasteless. The server was intrusive (always at the table) there is a difference between properly attentive and annoying. Server also lacked attention to detail. dining area was mostly empty with the exception of two other parties the Hostess put us right next to the other parties in an other wise empty room. I am not a recluse however I would like to engage in private conversation. My dinner at Sage five years ago will remain a positive memory. but only a memory. I wont go back to Sage and would not recommend it.

We walked over from our hotel; enjoyed lunch with our funny and friendly server, Ed. The French onion soup and chicken lettuce wraps were a great lunch meal.

Had a superb waitress, excellent service, great food. Just Good Times. Excellent quality and service. This is more of a tapas bar, not buffet, so the portions are smaller. My wife and I had a wonderful time and strongly recommend this diner. It was Saturday Night so they had music.

I would like to start by saying if I could give 0 stars I would. I had a horrible experience at this restaurant Friday 4/30/21. Me and my wife had set a reservation at this restaurant over a week in advance and had requested a private room for our anniversary dinner and that is what we where promised. Upon arrival we where seated in the main dining room and they then stated that it was semi private . That is not what we had agreed to. The service was terrible food, appetizers, drinks, nothing was brought out in a timely manor and then the manager on staff Yolanda who we had set up our reservation with was very rude and unaccommodating. The owner James who we had also spoken to previous to us coming out that night was at the restaurant the whole time and never even came out to speak to us or offer any type apology or any thing to try to compensate us for the terrible service me and my guest received. Over all me and my 20 plus guest all had terrible experiences at this restaurant delayed service wrong bills people being double charged a complete mess . If you cant handle large party's just say that don't ruin peoples events with your lack luster service and minimal efforts. And then the big fuss about splitting checks is complete Bs because that had nothing to do with you all not bringing out food or drink in a timely manor people waiting a hour for a drink is ridiculous. I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy to have a important dinner at this place is PATHETIC!!!!!

It had 4 stars and it was nearby, so I gave it a try. Very nice presentation, cool enough to eat on the patio. I was drawn there because I like to try new things and they offered small plates. I tried the beef ribs with polenta squares first. The beef was tender, the sauce tasted like Pioneer brown gravy mix and not enough polenta. Then the crab cakes, they were quarter sized but tasty enough. Lastly the fried green tomatoes with Pomodoro sauce. My fault entirely, I didn't know Pomodoro was spicy tomato sauce. Nonetheless it was nasty. Kitchen service was slow, it took an hour and a half to get these 3 small plates. I wouldn't go back.

Ambiance is lovely, food tastes great, waiters are very nice and polite. But the service is so slow. . ... could do with some perking up. And some background music would give that place a little more character.

After a day of lng meetings the establishment was well received, $5 martinis helped to melt the days stress. The food is not your average bar-food. The entrees are large and delicious! Our waitress provided us with great service and kept our glasses full!

This restaurant is a little dark for lunch. However, it has excellent food and service. The Happy Hour menu seemed to be an excellent value. Will definitely go back next time I'm in this area.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and chose this local restaurant based on their on line menu and reviews. It was a wonderful dining experience with more than adequate portions. Our party ordered the Meatloaf (great taste, large portion), the chicken tender waffles, the goat cheese chicken and a salmon substituted ahi tuna salad. Everyone was pleased with their selection. Having live music on Friday evening added to the experience.

I made reservations for my birthday at Sage and I have to say it was the worst decision ever.. The service was bad, the wait time for our food was just ridiculous..it took over an hour for the food to come out and the server didn't have the decency to update us on how much longer it was going to take for the food to come out.. aside the horrible service, I forgot some of my gifts at the restaurant and called immediately I got home and they told me they had the gifts so I should come for it the following day. I did go there the next day and I was missing half my gifts and to make things worse, they opened the gifts and put everything in a plastic bag..I asked to talk to the manager on duty and he had nothing to tell me than "WE ARE SORRY"! He then took my number and said he was going to investigate the matter and call me but never did..After 4 days I called and the best thing they could tell me was to come to the restaurant for a free drink!!! Arrant nonsense, why would I drive all the way from Snellville to Dunwoody for an $8 drink..that's not going to replace my lost gifts. I also found out from my friends that, they asked the server to split my bill on everyone at my dinners check which the server did but I ended up paying for my food too...What a rip off!! I will never step foot at this restaurant again..WORST RESTAURANT IN ATLANTA!! Poor customer service!

We ate here for my niece's graduation dinner and both the food and service were great! The food is a little on the expensive side depending on what your budget is but the food is worth it.

A last minute decision led us to discover the brunch jazz, and bottomless mimosa's. The food was good, and the live jazz was perfect. Do not get the calamari. It was the worst part of the experience. I had my very first bloody mary and did not enjoy it at all, the bellini's on the other hand, were nice, very nice. We are likely to visit again, now that we know there is live jazz.

I suggested this place to my in-laws when we were all in the area for dinner. They are quite picky about restaurants, but everyone kept talking about how they liked their food and service. We had dishes from all over the menu and all seemed to be well executed and cooked perfectly. We will be back for sure.

I attended a business dinner at this Sage location. It’s very conveniently located near Perimeter Mall with easy access and free parking We were quickly seated and greeted by our waiter. We ordered side dinner salads as starters and various entrees including salmon, ribs, and pasta. The portions including the salad was very generous. The entrees were all very tasty and cooked as ordered The service was good however NOT great compared to other similar restaurants. Drink refills were sometimes lacking and getting additional condiments such as extra salad dressing proved to be quite a chore Prices are on the mid level range where an entree, side salad and drink will run $30 to $35 per person

I really like the food and the atmosphere the first time I came here. I raved about it to everyone. The last few times I came. Hostesses had a lot of attitude. I thought that was unnecessary. The portions are smaller and the cost is more. It is a shame. This was really a great place one.

DISCLAIMER: SAGE restaurant as an actual restaurant SUCKS AT A LEVEL UNKNOWN TO MAN. Very nice and misleading after 5 ambience: however, the service and the food SUCKS! I have been there twice for dinner and both times it was so freaking Bad. I ordered ribs and they came out cold. 😳👍🏾. The GM said the only option is to reheat or take off the check and just let my lady eat by herself. I was so hungry I let them try to heat them and the ribs STILL came out COLD with the manager claiming she heated them herself. Why does my food have to be heated in the first place?! I’m not ordering left overs am I?! So I didn’t even eat. Never will I patronize that place food wise IN THIS LIFE or any other again. DO NOT ORDER FOOD AT THIS RESTAURANT! They are getting known across ATL for terrible service and food amongst all other restaurants of caliber.

This is a have a drink and an appetizer kind of place. Very nice decor and the service is great but the kitchen is a hit or miss proposition. The prices are too high for the quality of food.

My co-workers and I went for lunch here as we have had good experiences in the past. We were half finished lunch when a huge roach was crawling behind my co-worker at our booth. We had to call the waiter over to kill it but needless to say we were done and did not want to finish our lunch. At first they asked us to pay for our lunch saying that it could not be helped due to construction in the area but that was unacceptable. After that disgusting experience and much longer conversation with the manager, we left the restaurant. The sad part is I used to love it this restaurant but it is now off my list for an enjoyable meal.

This place was awesome!!! Restaurant on one side, bar on the other....nice atmosphere, good music played by a DJ, dancing, eating, very nice and upscale...waitresses were really friendly and welcoming...drinks were good also...

We were a group of 10 people on a Friday night, I'd made a reservation. They had some live jazz music, we were off the bar in an enclave with disco lighted floor, they turned the lights on for us to special colors and we enjoyed the special service. Service was attentive and the food was great. Everyone liked it by the looks of empty plates. If I lived in the area I'd be here a lot!

Met up with a college buddy who lives in Atlanta while I was on a business trip. On his suggestion, we had dinner at Sage – a nice spot on The Perimeter specializing on Mediterranean fusion cuisine. For the typical meat and potatoes kinda folks, that might sound snobbish or downright intimidating. But get this. After a warm greeting, we were immediately seated close to one of the windows where I can at least see my hand in front of my face. It was THAT dark. I had to use my phone flashlight app to read the menu. But no worries. Along came Mark to introduce himself as our server and the evening’s specials. My order was simple: cowboy ribeye Cajun style with crawfish cream sauce on the side @ medium temperature; want that wonderful piece of meat rest on a bed of mushroom risotto (yes, risotto) with grilled asparagus on the side. Simple. I ordered a Negroni to fully complement the meal. This is my idea of a perfect steak meal – one that I would request for my last meal. I particularly enjoyed Sage. Quiet ambience, easy on the eyes, no elevator music, and no army of servers asking how we are every thirty seconds. The invoice was quite reasonable. Plenty of parking out front. Easily accessible from the main road. Highly recommended. Check it out. I’ll definitely be back.

I googled to find a fun restaurant in the area and up popped Sage. Since we were limited on time and only six minutes away...we went! YEAH for us! Delicious food in a quiet, warm atmosphere. So glad we happened on the restaurant. They had Shrimp and Grits, and no further did I look as I'm into that one dish and I like to experience different ways it is created. Their version has a slight kick to it. The grits are fluffy and tasty, but some how keep their lightness. Served in a large beautiful white bowl the presentation says delicious, delicious, delicious. You eat with your eyes first... Right. The shrimp and grits are placed on top of a wonderful broth, that says it is a sherry reduction. It is filled with flavor! My hubby's portion of fettucini Alfredo with chicken was humongous! We both agreed we would come back to Sage if we come back to Atlanta!!! Oh, and after the ordering the waitress brought us their complimentary bread plate... Again served beautiful and filled with details of a bowl of olive oil, balsamic, dice tomato, parm and herbs... No ordinary bread basket! When you go, plan on taking your time and enjoying the quiet and the atmosphere... You'll leave feeling like you were on a mini vacation!

I'm not sure if it was the fact that our waiter was overbearing, or the food was just "adequate", but nothing too overwhelming about this Perimeter Mall area eatery. I will say, if you enjoy good music (albeit a bit loud for such confined quarters in the bar area, the lounge area is nice with a tapas menu.

The restaurant was very busy and we didn't have reservations. The wait was about 20 minutes or so. Our waiter was excellent but a bit frazzled as it was busy. The food was delicious and plentiful. There was a live violinist playing along with the music. I would definitely recommend and come back when visiting Atlanta.

Attended a Birthday Celebration and upon entering was confused as to the to type of atmosphere it was since some were dressed for a night dinner and others where dressed in jeans and very casual. The hostess was dress nicely and with big smiles and knew immediately as to what birthday group I needed. Love the look of the restaurant and could hear loud music (Friday night). The music was loud, but it did give some spunk to the place and folks were dancing with the music at dinner tables. Upon going to the ladies room, I discovered an area where a number of people where dressed like a night club atmosphere and that was where the music was coming from. I had arrived to the party late and discovered everyone had order but had waited over 30 minutes and still no food and the count of folks in the restaurant section was not that packed out. The food finally came a few more minutes later and the servers were focused on giving each meal one after another in order of the seats. One meal was for a guest nearest the server but he would not give her the plate until everyone else before her got their plate which took another few minutes. After everyone was served I ordered my meal and got it within a few minutes and it appear to be a very small serving for the price, Shrimp and Grits,. It tasted ok, but nothing out of the box. the grits could have been cooked longer as for them to not taste hard but more creamer. The servers were also trying to take the plates before we were finishing eating our food and had to mention several times we were not done. Overall, this visit, my first was ok. Would not be my first choice when choosing a place next time.

My coworkers and I hosted a dinner for a retiring member of our staff at this location. The service was simply amazing. The room was set up beautifully before we arrived. Rashad was extremely helpful in terms of making sure that we had everything that we needed in order to carry off the event without a hitch. Not only was he helpful, but he was proactive and so very cordial. Working with him was such a pleasure. He and Pam did a great job serving the food. They were very efficient and epitomized good service. Dirty dishes were whisked away, empty glasses were filled, they anticipated our needs before we could speak them. I enjoyed the food. The appetizers were particularly good. Next time I think I will try the salmon! I recommend this place highly for group events as well as individual dining.

Came here for a late weeknight dinner. To my surprise, they live music going even on the weeknights. We had the seafood cioppino & the asiago chicken fettuccine. Both were great and sizeable portions. It wasn't that busy, but people were in there. Service was attentive and fairly fast. Might come back soon

It was a great atmosphere. The food was great and the service was good. Only gave it a 4-star because it was a little too dark for me but it's definitely a great place for a date night or hanging out with friends. We actually went there for dinner and for brunch the next day. Girls Weekend Birthday Celebration!! We all had a really good time and there were a lot of people celebrating that night. Nice size plate portions. It was a bit pricey but the music, ambience and the laughs we had compensated for the cost.

From the moment we looked at the menu we were impressed with this place. Everything we ate was amazing and the service was top notch too. We ate dinner there on a Monday which turned out to be Martini Monday where they have 1/2 off all martinis including top shelf. A gin martini for $6 is tough to beat! They also have wine shots available which my wife loved. Two ounce pours for $3 and on Tuesdays they have wine specials. Great food, great drinks and great service.

My daughter and I had an early dinner here and found the service to be very attentive but not hovering. Menu was extensive, making a decision was not a problem except for the fact that everything sounded and looked good. Decided on a Seafood Dish, Bowl of Shrimp Bisque and Caesar Salad all were fresh, nicely prepared and presented. Seafood a little on the pricey side but not a problem. Quiet environment until it got closer to dinner time, but even then not too bad, I would agree with an earlier reviewer that it is on the somewhat dark side. Recommended if you are in the Perimeter Mall area.

Had a nice meal served by Derrick. My sesame ahi tuna salad and spouses seafood grill was excellent. Service great, meal good, free dessert the best.

Went her with my ladies for an early dinner [they don't open for dinner until 5pm] Dim lighting, quiet. Our server, Timothy, was great. Never had to ask for a refill, he was on top of it [and we drink a lot of water] They brought us bread with an olive oil dipping sauce that was amazing! I had the filet with sun dried tomatoes and blue cheese, cooked medium. [the very middle was a bit medium rare] I have sautéed spinach and asparagus- All very good! My friends ordered the Petite Filet and the Scallops, both said they were very good. Also tried the Shrimp Bisque, very rich but tasty. I would definitely come back!

The lunch dishes are great! I haven't been there for dinner but I'm sure it's just as good. My boyfriend and I were seated as soon as we arrived. We ordered our appetizers and soon after it came to our table. I love the oil they have for the bread, just wished the chocolate sauce on the bottom wasn't there (something about oil and chocolate doesn't mix well in my head or stomach). I would definitely recommend this place for a cozy lunch!

Great staff and the best steak I've had in a long time. Great value. We ate at the bar and had a fabulous waitress who was so attentive and helpful.

This was my first visit to Sage Woodfire Tavern. It is located in a nice area. Perimeter mall is right across the street. The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful. The waiter will explain almost everything about the restaurant. If you have any questions about the cuisine, just ask. The food was delicious! I ordered shrimp & grits and salmon. Everything was seasoned just right. I will absolutely return to this restaurant the next time that I'm in Atlanta.

I came here with a group of colleagues on a business trip. They were very busy and went above and beyond to accomadate us. The food was absolutely phenomonal. There wasn’t anything in our table that went uneaten. The service was a smidge slow but it was well worth the wait. This might have been the best food I have had in the last 5 years.

Seating on a Saturday before 6pm was no wait. Sometimes it's easier to get seating in the bar area. Our last visit an Asian young man played everything from Bruno Mars to John Legend! Awesome young man. We also caught a saxophonist one night. They have a great happy hour with GOOD food options. The food is good but depending on what your table orders, there may be a wait.

Party of 5 arriving 30 minutes before the kitchen closed! No worries the staff was accommodating and expedient. We were served the bread with the signature olive oil and other ingredients which was finger licking good. Then we ordered strawberry lemon martini's and a shrimp appetizer. We had another round of martini's before our food so we were feeling rather bubbly. Most of us ordered the Asiago Chicken which was good. As we ate the DJ from the other side of the restaurant where the bar is located was playing feel good, dance, party music. After eating we joined the DJ and got another round of martini's! We danced, joked and talked and had a great time! This place is a good mixture of good food, drinks and a party atmosphere.

I was celebrating my 53rd birthday with 10 of my closest friends. I made reservations in the dining area with the intentions of moving to the bar area after dinner to listen to live music once the DJ played to dance and continue my celebration. My guess spent over $1000 on meals and drinks. When we moved to the Bar area And the waitress realized we were not ordering food because we had just finished eating in the dining area she became upset and complained to the manager. We were Approached by the manager and advised we had to purchased more drinks, we purchase non-alcoholic beverages. We were then approached again by a different manager and advised we had to purchase a minimum of two alcoholic beverages in order to remain in the bar area. My guess were very upset trying to explain to the manager we had just consumed and purchased several alcoholic beverages on the dining side and wanted to only drink non alcoholic beverages at that point. We were than advise we had to purchase alcohol in order to stay in the bar area Because the waitress was concerned she would not be tipped based upon my friends and I purchasing non-alcoholic Beverages and no food. As professional women we had no intentions on enjoying our evening and not tipping the waitress. We went back-and-forth with the manager for over 30 minutes trying to explain our stance. It was insulting that the waitress assumed because we were drinking nonalcoholic beverages that we would not provide a tip. I explain to the manager I had my 50th birthday celebration at this establishment inviting over 30 guest along with my daughters college graduation inviting over 25 guest so I was completely aware of the policies and procedures which this was not in place at that time. My guest and I ended up leaving unhappy and my birthday was completely ruined. The service was very unprofessional and we truly felt insulted. Although my guest and I just spent over $1000 at this establishment they were more worried about funneling more people through To maximize the dollar then customer service. They gave us a two hour window for dinner and then added additional stipulations to purchase more alcohol in the dining area I would highly not recommend this restaurant. This experience was horrible!!

Sat at the bar last night for dinner and was immediately approached by one of the bartenders who offered to take my drink order. I ordered a glass of wine and then a nice entree but then the service stopped. The bartenders seemed disorganized and busy filling drink orders from the dining room and my server/bartender never returned after I asked for a dessert menu - they don't have one so he listed them verbally. I was going to order dessert and maybe a coffee or another glass of wine but he never approached me again. I asked another bartender to get my check and I signed and left. Food is a 5 - nice presentation, excellent flavor, fish was cooked perfectly but service was poor.

The ribs in this place are to die for. They are meaty and tender. Unfortunately we were relegated to a space that is down the stairs because we did not want to sit in a booth and the service was practically non existent. According two one in the party , the chocolate cake was spectacularly good.

While in Atlanta on business, I was looking for a nice place to have dinner after a long day of travel. My friend suggested Sage and I must say it was a great choice. It's a WIN if you're looking for something romantic and trendy. The food and service was world-class. Went to the bar after dinner only to be met with a very courteous bartender that treated me well. They had a live acoustic performer in the bar area that made the visit worth while. Open one in Hampton Roads VA please!

Great night for a casual drinks and dinner with friends. The service was good. The food was average.

This restaurant has a great vibe. The food is great and the service is on point. Sage Woodfire Tavern has a very diverse menu that should please all pallets. The oysters on the half shell were great as was the Greek salad and the Korean ribs. It is a little pricey, but you pay for what you get so one should not be disappointed with the meal, worth the price and wait.

Food was fine, restaurant had a nice vibe and setting. Able to enjoy conversation. Nice wine list including a range of prices. Started with Calamari and Brussel Sprouts. Both were good but brought to the table without serving spoons. Took minutes to grab someone’s attention and an additional few minutes for the spoons to arrive. The three of us had the Sesame Tuna which was cooked to perfection. The challenge was our waiter brought all the salads and main courses together. Not what we ordered or expected and created a logjam at the table. Did not send the Tuna back as we had full confidence it would return over cooked. This combined with Julian J. disappearing for long stretches and carding all three of us sort of left us thinking ...either we are off base or there are plenty of restaurants willing to take our money. The hostess was gone so we could not share our frustrations. Oh well.

"Sage Woodfire Tavern" didn't prepare us for the interior. This is a rather dark restaurant with lights over each table. The staff are "well dressed" and, as we had wandered in wearing jeans, we were modestly uncomfortable at first... though we got over it. First, the music (live) was lounge music from the 1970s. It was fun. We started with the "Steamed P.E.I. Mussels" which were excellent. Mussels in a rich tomato sauce served in a large bowl... and plenty to share. For entrees, we had the "Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken" and the "Parmesan Crusted Free-Range Chicken Breast". Both were very good and quite plentiful. The website details the accompaniments. Our server seemed a bit nervous at first (perhaps somewhat new?), but we were able to mutually relax as the evening continued. Should we find ourselves back in the area, we'll definitely consider this establishment for a return visit - though we will be looking at it more from a fine dining perspective.

So I like to rate fairly. So I give a rating of 5 considering if 1- service was great 2 food is exceptional, 3 meal was timely, 4 cleanliness was good and last 5, atmosphere was great. Well it’s a big fat 5. Everything came together in this place. I can safely say I am satisfied to the max in all senses! Mikell was wonderful, very friendly and professional! Good asset. I would definitely come back with a very hearty appetite because the food is also plentiful. So that’s a 6! Taking food home! Crazy right?!?! I know. Come on over. You will love it . It’s not inexpensive, but good things rarely are.

my friends and I went to the Sage Tavern for the first time a week ago and the experience was great. I had the Ribeye and Stuffed Shrimp Surf and turf dish, with the greek salad. We also shared the bacon shrimp appetizer. I had the Cheesecake dessert which was also very good. Matthew was our waiter and he has a great personality and is very friendly. He made the evening every bit as great and entertaining as the food and the company. We will certainly be back as the experience was excellent.

Location: The restaurant is very close to I-285 and very easy to find. It’s located in a plaza with lots of other businesses and has plenty of parking available. Food: I must say; the food is EXCELLENT! I ordered the Veal, Angus Beef, Pork meatloaf; this came with mashed potatoes and I had asparagus as my vegetable. I thought I had a choice of which meat but actually it was all three meats; stacked on top of another. The meatloaf was very savory, excellently prepared and cooked. It didn’t have the usual meatloaf ketchup spread all over the top. The mashed potatoes weren’t too buttery nor had too much garlic. The asparagus was al dante and had a crunch when chewed. The presentation was outstanding! I can tell the chef took pride with his/her dish and the presentation of the meal reflected it. Service: One word: OUTSTANDING! We were seated right away and our server (Gio) was by to take our drink order shortly thereafter. This restaurant has seemed to master the ability to give exemplary service. You will probably agree with me but here is the service for most restaurants I’ve been to: 1. Waiter/Waitress takes the drinks order drops them off and then disappears for a while. 2. He/She comes back and takes the order and the wait begins. 3. The food is dropped off and server normally comes back just once to check up and you don’t see them again. 4. They then come back to pick up the plates and ask about desert and disappears AGAIN. 5. They FINALLY come back with the bill, drop it off and disappear AGAIN!!! 6. By now I’m growing roots before he/she comes back to grab the bill and my card. Gio has serving down pack. Not only did he answered questions about the dishes but also knew the history behind the dish. He was also quick, very pleasant, and very efficient and treated us as if we were his only customers; I take my hat off to him…..as well as gave a 25% tip for his service. He checked up on us several times during the meal but never hovered. He would walk by, pause, ask if we were ok and move on. Just a quick check was all that was needed. But get this! When my glass was empty, he was by within seconds to refill and the restaurant was pretty packed. Normally I have to try and flag down our server or any server if the wait is too long for a refill. The meal came promptly as well; I’ve been to some places where I was starting to nibble on the napkins as my rubbed itself into my backbone from hunger Ambiance: The lighting was pretty dim but not enough where you couldn’t make out the menu. There was a live DJ the night we went and he played everything from House (EDM) music to R&B, Pop, Rock and other genres as well as old school and new music. The restaurant has two sides; one for dinning and the other had tables but looked to be geared for drinking. They have a bar and a small dance floor that had lights under the Plexiglas. The noise level was slightly elevated due to competition of the music volume, other people talking as well as the drinkers at the bar. This is kinda of a mix between traditional restaurant and restaurants that mainly has mingling. Apparel: I saw everything from button-down shirt and jeans to shirt and tie. Recommendations: I must admit that this, if not thee best, one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in for a very, very long time. Most of the time after I sign the bottom of the bill; it’s time to go! Not at Sage Woodfire Tavern; we actually stayed there for quite a while bouncing to the music and in the end actually making our way to the dance floor. I would recommend Sage to anybody who loves good service, great tasting food, good music and a great atmosphere.

Went to this restaurant for the fifth time this week each time is just as good as the first time the food is delicious ...calamari is absolutely delicious succulent and fried to perfection seasoned well.... the drinks are great and service is excellent . Live entertainment in the evenings is very relaxing the DJ on Friday and Saturday night is off the chain

Late evening option after dinner to enjoy live music starting at 6PM Tuesday - Saturday. Each night a different scene!! Thursday a mellow diverse guitar/singer; Friday we went after the DJ started at 10PM for the Ladies Night Dance Party. It was packed, very loud, and lively! Saturday night feature a keyboard artist with blues, pop, and a wide range. We enjoyed the Angus Burger Sliders, Fish Tacos, but not the Shrimp & Grits. Fun evenings!

Terrible service. Almost an hour to receive food and drinks. Food was cold and my burger was over cooked. Terrible experience.

I’ve been here a few times, but this was my bfs first time. We went on Friday evening and sat in the bar. Very nice live one man Jazz music until the DJ took over and the dance floor opened up. I had the wedge salad and rosemary shrimp appetizer and the shrimp were delicious. He had the King filet which was a little over cooked Medium vs Medium Rare, but still quite good. It was good enough that we went back for brunch and more one man Jazz. The French Toast was delicious and filling and we happily enjoyed the bottomless Bellinis and Mimosas.

Well, I'm a pretty big fan of Sage in general. I've gone to the one in Alpharetta for years and have been to the one on Ashford Dunwoody a handful of times. Tonight was disappointing if I'm being honest. The ribs were excellent as they always are, and the meat loaf was good too! The pasta was bland, and just lacked taste. We ordered the Bruchetta as an appetizer and it was okay, but not great. The service was pretty bad. Slow to get our order, our appetizer came out literally a minute before our meal. After we got our meal we didn't see the waiter again. With empty plates on the table I flagged him down to give him my credit card. He was nice so I feel bad for complaining but he either had too many tables or just was too new to be a waiter. Bottom line is the service was not good. I will go back as I think I caught them on a bad night.

I attended a birthday dinner last night at this place of business, and I honestly regret spending my hard earned money in a place with disrespectful and rude management. I understand and am reasonable with a longer wait time with a larger party, but to have reservations at 7:30 and not get your entrée until after 10pm is ridiculous. On top of that, the orders were made incorrectly, and the management staff responded with attitude and disrespect to the point that she actually called the police, stating that a waitress overheard someone in our party threathen her. That never happened, and once the police showed up, her story changed to her insinuating that we were refusing to pay the bill. The only thing we asked was for the two meals that were incorrectly made to be corrected. I definitely would not recommend this place; the food is way overpriced, and the management may call the Dunwoody Police if you don't accept their poor service with a smile. Save your money!

This is wonderful restaurant that know how to add special touches to their food. Everything we ate was fabulous and it was presented by a smiling, happy wait staff. A great menu that you can combine with a nice wine list. They are very unique that you can buy the wine by the "taste", the "glass" or the whole bottle. This was my first time there and it turned into a four hour lunch. I loved every minute of it.

Stopped by for supper with my wife and another couple and were seated immediately since we had a reservation. The place was crowded and service was a bit slow due to an overload in the kitchen. Our server was Drea, he was very good and he stopped by several times with status of the meal, filling water glasses, and checking with us throughout our meal time. But, the quality of the meal was excellent. My wife and I had a Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and Goat Cheese Chicken with extra bread and dip. It was excellent. We will return again when we are in the area.

The service was great and the food was excellent. The half rack of baby back ribs with baked potatoe and garlic green Beene was delicious and latge enough to have plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the live jazz too. All in all a wonderful pre-holiday girls night out.

We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our waitress was super and fun. The food was delivered quickly and was outstanding. They had a good wine list as well as desserts.

Attended this restaurant on a Friday night for a birthday gathering and had a great time! They had a live musician in the bar area who is AWESOME! He sang great old classics and blues music. The food price is a little but it was extremely delicious and the portions awesome. The only issue I had was that there was only one option (pasta with vegetables) offered for vegetarians. The decor & design of the restaurant created great ambiance, the bar area brought a cool crowd ready for after work fun. This is a great restaurant and perfect for a special date night.

I loved it!! Came for work but ended up staying and enjoying my self. Great atmosphere and people. Food was outstanding! Music was great!! You can tell it's not your normal chain. I'll be back. Can't wait to see who I'll meet next time. 😉

Dined here one night, while staying at a near by hotel. We found the food to be very good. The steak was outstanding, as were the side dishes. The beer was cold (good selection). The service was attentive, yet not overbearing. I would have rated the restaurant a 5, but the wine selection seemed to be a little lacking in choices.

I used to come here specifically for the Shrimp Bisque, but along with a lot of other dishes on the lunch menu, this is no longer good and seems to be pre-made and reheated (although not at all hot). The bread didn't seem fresh, and the sandwiches were pretty dry and boring. The best part of the meal were the wedge-style fries. Our server, Spence, was good and pretty attentive despite larger tables coming in. Not somewhere I'll return to, sadly.

Sage could be a great restaurant, but it is conflicted and unsure just what it wants to be - a bar or a restaurant. The Picky Eater and I went to a get together (which was poorly thought-out and planned) taking place the weekend of a wedding we were to attend. The Greeters were nice and accommodating and, eventually, we found the hostess. We were settled into a booth in the bar area and brought menus, though we hadn't asked for them. A pianist was setup not 10 feet from us and vied with noise from the bar crowd, forcing her to nearly scream lyrics to the songs. The room was attractive, but garishly lit and very, very loud. After the pianist finished her set and packed up her gear, we were quickly made aware that there was a dance-floor/room not more than 30 feet from our table. We were joined by 4 others bringing our group to 6. The waitperson was wonderful and bravely explained the menu, provided "spot-on" advice on items, and took our orders over the increasing louder din of the dance music. I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food was prepared. We ordered braised short ribs, mini lump crab cakes, Ajillo Shrimp, and tenderloin skewers for table-sharing appetizers. Each was served hot and in generous portions. They all were flavorful and I would recommend each of them. The Picky Eater ordered the Rack of Lamb and I ordered Wood-fire grilled Salmon. Both were excellently prepared. Others ordered salmon, Asiago Chicken, Pappardelle Lamb Ragu and Baby Back Ribs with similar responses on quality and freshness of preparation. I would order the salmon again and after tasting the Lamb Ragu, I would also order it. We skipped dessert. This is not a cheap place to eat and, though the food is tasty, generously portioned, and presented well; there are other places. Expect great service, though, so maybe it balances out. I would go back to sit in the dining room to avoid the noise and that might make this a true 4 star experience.

Most nights I cook and eat dinner at home. My friends tease me that I am a dinosaur, it eating dinner at home most nights makes me appreciate a night out more than most people. I had pnly dined at Sage for lunch previously. Dinner is equally good, also serving hot bread as an appetizer. I had their airline chicken breast special, wonderfully seasoned, with basmati rice, and assorted vegetables. The vegetables were the highlight of the How did the chef cook the fresh yellow squash, zucchini, green beans and carrots so perfectly? Awesome, attentive service, too. Perfect restaurant outing!

Having tried this restaurant numerous times previously, as you can see from my earlier reviews, I was really hoping they'd rise to the level of quality and consistency of other comparable restaurants at the Perimeter. However, the food and service has continued to decline in standard, with food tasting pre-made (esp. soups) and service painfully slow and stilted, so I'll take my business lunch dollars to one of the other 20+ restaurants who just do it better, all round. Sorry, Sage - I tried.

My husband and I had dinner here for our “date night” during a marriage retreat we were attending down the street. The service was perfect and the food, desserts and drinks were incredibly good. We decided they must have thought we were food critics because they brought us complementary drinks (some sort of Godiva chocolate amazingness) and the manager even came outside to greet us. Or maybe they saw how much money we were spending and thought we deserved a bonus :-P Regardless, it was an absolutely perfect evening!!

We were just visiting in Atlanta for 2 days. We were in another local place and was recommended to go here. They were able to seat us very quickly without a reservation (Friday evening). Our server, Tim was pleasant and had very friendly and quick service. When the food came, it looked so delicious. Once we started eating, from the very first bit, we knew we were eating at a special place. The Goat Cheese stuffed Chicken was absolutely marvelous. I can't say enough about it. It had some potatoes and spinach. Then the Rainbow Trout was just as good. It has rice pilaf and kale. I did substitute the kale for Asparagus, and that was probably a very good decision as the asparagus was cooked to perfection!

Atmosphere is the only going for this place. I ordered the herb crusted lamb chops. Food came out cold. And when we mentioned it to the server she took our plates and put them in the microwave and gave us back the same plate of food. The lamb itself was very bland. But the kicker of the night is how we were charged a 18% gratuity for a table of 2. WONT BE BACK!

Great atmosphere, great choice of appitzers and entrees. The steak was awseome. The staff was nice and the food came out in a timely matter. Would defintley go back.

The manager of the restaurant was very attentive, as well as our waitress...we were a little late for our reservation and they held our table on a day when the restaurant was full... food quality good but service was outstanding.

Nice popular restaurant with music in the bar area. Food selection good with the appetisers particularly good. Staff were very friendly and responsive as well. Overall would definitely return.

My husband and I traveled to Atlanta on our 4 Year Anniversary! We were at the mall and decided to grab a bite to eat. I Google'd this place and decided to give it a try! OMG!!!!!! The first thing I noticed was how clean, romantic and modern the restaurant was. The bar area was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We received a warm welcome as soon as we came through the doors. Our waiter was Lamar! He was the most knowledgeable and sweetest person we met! Now, the food.......OMG.......DELICIOUS!!! We ordered the chicken skewers for an app. It came with a peanut sauce and another red dipping sauce.......I almost licked the plate! The bread was awesome as well! I ordered the goat cheese stuffed chicken......I almost went in the kitchen and kissed the cook! Overall, it was amazing! I would come again! Lamar, you are the best Sweetie! Keep up the great work!

I love Sage for happy hour and usually stay for dinner. The drinks are hand crafted and made with fresh ingredients. I suggest you try one of the signature drinks instead of a classic - you won't be disappointed. Live music is a compliment to the experience. The food is just as impressive as the bar menu. The portion sizes are large and the dishes are flavorful. The service is also extraordinary.

We were impressed with the interior. It was very chic. Our waiter was not knowledgeable about even the simplest of cocktails or food items. It took a long time to get our check and it had to be returned twice because of mistakes. If our waiter was new, he should have told us and we could be sympathetic. Since he didn't, we assume that he is the standard. The food was average for this type of restaurant. I wish I could recommend this restaurant because of the décor but the rest of the experience was not up to par.

We have been frequent patrons at Sage for years at all locations, starting with the one in Alpharetta. After our most recent visit on Tuesday, May 9, we will not be returning. My friend and I went into the restaurant for dinner at 5 pm. My friend ordered the twin lobster tails, and I ordered the salmon. The first strange thing that happened was that they wouldn’t substitute mash potatoes that came with the twin lobster tails for wild rice. However, wild rice came with the salmon, so I asked that they give her the wild rice, and I would take the mash potatoes. They wouldn’t do that either, so when the meals came out, we had to exchange the mash potatoes and wild rice on our own. When the meals arrived at our table, we were delighted at the size of the lobster tails. So after moving the wild rice onto her plate and the mash potatoes onto my plate, we started enjoying the food. My friend asked me if I wanted to try her lobster, I did, and I felt a strange taste. But I had a very small piece so I didn’t think anything of it. She was eating her food and I noticed a frown on her face and that she spit the food out into a napkin. She said that the lobster tasted strange. She cut into the second lobster tail and smelled it. The chemical smell was very noticeable. I smelled it and then thought back to the piece that I had eaten. So we called our waiter over and explained it to him. She allowed him to smell it, and he went to get the manager. The manager took his time to come to our table, he could have been busy, I don’t know. So she explained the pungent smell and taste to the manager, and asked him to smell the lobster tail. He said that he didn’t want to smell the food, and that he would take care of it. He came back to the table with our check. No apology was issued. And I don’t think anyone would believe this – the manager discounted the check $30.00. Mind you, the twin lobster tails cost $59.95. So what the manager was saying to us is that ‘you ate 1 of the lobster tails, and even if it was spoiled, we are still charging you for it’. At that point, we asked for the general manager. Which again, took a while for her to come to our table. The GM refused the offer to smell the lobster tail also. She with no apologies either, came with questions e.g. how much of your meal did you eat. As if to say what the manager was saying, that we are charging you for the amount you ate. My friend told her that she would not pay for the bad food. The GM walked away and came back with the check, I guess with the lobster tails removed. But she tried to chastise us and saying she was doing us a favor by taking the lobster tails off the bill. At that point, things heated up, and yelling ensued. My friend asked her for the check so we could pay and leave. The GM said, “I don’t have to do anything for you” and walked away without giving us the check. Our waiter came back with the check with the lobster tails removed, we paid and left. When I got home, I googled ‘lobster tails that smell like chemicals’ and this is what I got - First of all, lobsters have a highly sensitive meat. What this means is that it can go bad quickly once this crustacean has already died. Thus, spoiled lobster emits a nasty ammonia smell, accompanied by a soft meat consistency similar to cottage cheese’s texture. In other words, lobster smells like ammonia once it is spoiled. Generally, the ammonia odor occurs when lobster was not frozen quickly enough after harvest. In the future, be sure to purchase cold water lobster tails for the best results; if frozen, use as soon as possible and never thaw in warm water.

This perimeter restaurant has a dark modern interior with booths and tables for seating plus a spacious bar. The service was attentive and food and drinks were served quickly. The portions were immense. We had appetizers and salads (one each) and found that there was almost too much food. The quality was very good and the presentation of the dishes artful. There were some odd quirks though with a slightly sweet dressing on a Greek salad and a gin blueberry cocktail that was relatively insipid. There are some well chosen wines by the glass and bottle but pretty standard fare in terms of the overall selection.

Sage Woodfire Tavern has a lovely private room for about 20 people. We had a great luncheon. The service was lacking due to 1 server for 20 people. The meatloaf was delicious. The bill was confusing and hard to settle.

Friday evenings are jamming with a DJ. The food and service were great. The meatloaf was so delicious. The best I've had. I will absolutely go back again.

Had dinner at Sage Labor Day weekend and all of us were disappointed in the quality of the food for the high prices. I ordered mixed vegetables as a side and when they delivered our food, the server put a bowl of green beans down in front of me. He said they were out of the mixed vegetables. I told him I did not want green beans so sent the dish back! The service was just average at best and the food was not as good as we expected. The only positive comment was a friend who said her Salmon Salad was good. There are much better restaurants in Dunwoody to dine!

I won't be eating here again any time soon...John-host at the hostess stand Kara-our server The cesar salad was amazing--the best dressing I've had all year! Our server was phenomenal but there was a manager who kept walking around and hubbering over our table as if he were a space ship. We didn't like that. We went from initially having no attention from the hostess stand to having WAAY too much attention from one of the obvious managers. He kept wanting to remove things from the table whether we were finished with them or not! It was somewhat of a pestering experience brought on by the manager...The bathroom wasn't the cleanest one I've ever been in.--if I had seen the conditions of the ladies room before we ordered, I would have encouraged my party to go elsewhere. Kara-our server was the best part of this horrible experience. This place use to be incredible. Unfortunately, times have changed.~Ashli H.👎👎

Steaks were perfect, which is hard to do on a ToGo order! Portions were very generous and the food was hot. Great job! Thanks!

We dine out a lot and were very impressed by the service, ambiance, and food quality at Sage. In particular the Lamb Chop entre consisted of (4) double cut chops that were cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. We will be going back soon!!!

This place was the highlight of our trip. Amazing drinks and the service was on point. We didn't have dinner but, i'm sure it good as well. We stayed till 1am, Entertainment the 1st part of the night was awesome, with HoneyBone...lol, we had me rolling the entire time with his beautiful voice. The DJ afterwards was also good. Will definitely be back next time i'm in the A'.

We stopped in for dinner during a lively happy hour Thursday with an acoustic guitar singer. This place probably gets hopping on the weekends, with the underlit (blue lights under opaque glass) tables and a private underlit dance floor. Peeking in, the restaurant looked warm and cozy as you might expect a nice steakhouse. The service was fantastic, even with a waitress in training. My baby back ribs were tender and delicious, even if perhaps a bit too soft as they were falling off the bone. I rarely complain about that! I had them for brunch the next day even the though the company would have paid for breakfast.

Went to this restaurant for the first time recently off the back of a local recommendation. A bunch of my team were in town and we wanted somewhere near the office for a dinner and drink. Sage was great. Although no private room, we were given a table away from most of the crowd. Saying that, the place was still quite loud and we found ourselves shouting. Service was quick and responsive and most of us had a drink within 5min of ordering. Menu had plenty of different options and the steaks were great. Would definitely recommend

Food and service were very good, but the oil and herbs with fresh bread stole the show. I can’t believe there’s a 100 character minimum. 2 stars for TripAdvisor App

Excellent service. Cocktails were great order Texas margaritas. Salmon was the best I have had. Service was excellent even though it was crowded and a Saturday.

Sage in Dunwoody is my favorite restaurant in the Metro Atlanta area. Every special occasion or non-special occasion, this is my favorite place to eat. Everything on their Chef's menu and their regular key is great, I love everything on their menu. From the steak to the diver scallops. My favorite side is their risotto, doesn't matter what variety - it's YUM!

My wife and I are from Chicago. We were visiting Atlanta and happened to drive by Sage. We decided to give it a try. Not a mistake at all. The atmosphere was romantic. The service from Nahdia was outstanding! The food was above expectations. There was violin music in the lounge. I have not had a restaurant experience like this in a long time! Please stop in and give em a try! You won't regret it!

Never, ever, again! My son made reservations at this restaurant for a Mother's Day brunch, and it was the worst experience in a restaurant I have ever had. First of all, it was like eating in a dark dungeon (they wouldn't let us sit in the room that had windows with sunlight, and when we left my son noticed that there was outdoor seating on the side of the building they never told us about). Secondly, the server told us, after our orders were taken, that we would need to eat and leave within two hours (very tacky and unwelcoming!). I wanted to leave right then, but didn't want to upset my young son who made a nice effort to take me out for brunch. As if the atmosphere of this dark dingy place with loud rock music would make people want to stay beyond 1 hour let alone 2 (felt like a nightclub instead of an afternoon brunch). Not relaxing at all. The croissants and little muffins tasted stale, and the cheesy grits are not worth spending the extra $2 on. The server came out to tell me my mimosa would be $12 instead of $8, because they changed pricing (It was in the smallest glass I have ever seen. Like a taste testing cup, not in a regular flute that mimosa's are usually in. Such a big rip off!). The worst thing was at the end when your bill comes and they automatically add the tip in! Tips are earned not automatically given!!! The worst restaurant experience we have ever dealt with! Will never be back!

Great service, great food! Easy access. Nice atmosphere for easy conversation. Good variety on the menu.

Did I visit the same restaurant as the other reviewers? I thought the atmosphere was nice and relaxing, allowing for private conversation. The server was excellent. The bread was warm and crispy on the outside. The arugula salad with grilled chicken was tasty. My dining companion had a bowl of soup that we joked was the size of a trough! Would like to return soon!

I was impressed with their menu online and sure enough, the restaurant delivered. The staff did an impeccable job; from the hostess to the wait staff to the manager, Peter. The restaurant is dark and beautiful and romantic. They have a live band at the bar which did not intrude on our dinner. I got a lamb ragu over pasta that was tasty and delicious. My sister loved the enormous greek salad. It even had a dolmade in it! My mom got the goat cheese-stuffed chicken which was recommended by our waiter, and it was wonderful. The portions were huge..We had leftovers. To finish, we shared a sweet potato bread pudding served warm with ice cream and caramel sauce. Seriously sinful!! Check it out!!

This is a cool spot to hang after work for food and drinks at the bar and the food is actually good. The live music is very good they do a bar and music perfectly. I go every week and it's still good.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Everyone was very nice and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that our waiter gave us over to a different server mid meal. I figured he was getting off work but he continued to work around us. It just felt weird being swapped to another waiter halfway through the meal.

A post Mass Saturday dinner brought us to this well located restaurant. Coming from bright sunshine into the decidedly dark interior is an adjustment but soon your eyes adjust and the dark woods and leather booths create a club atmosphere in the dining area. The bar has the now popular blue light on the tables and creates a surreal atmosphere there. The live music was enjoyable and not so loud as to inhibit conversation but loud enough to discern the lyrics. Our meal began with an elaborate bread service featuring olive oil, dipping spices, scallions, peppers etc. and delicious hot bread. Next we enjoyed one house salad with onions, tomato, cucumber, carrots on a bed of crisp greens and with an excellent thickened balsamic dressing on the side. My wife chose the six ounce filet as her entre and it was tender and properly cooked to medium accompanied by garlic sautéed spinach and roasted potato. I chose the pan seared scallops with green beans and the spinach. The scallops were just right and the vegetables made for a light meal. We skipped the dessert but did enjoy an excellent Gibson before the meal. Service was efficient.

Beautiful restaurant, just dimly lit so I needed a flashlight to read the menu, which is full of choices, shrimp bisque, calamari, lettuce wraps, and we tried the grilled/shaved brussel sprouts which were yummy! My party had the meatloaf, sea bass, chicken fettuccine, Parmesan chicken and lamb ragout, we all loved our dishes. The noise level was a little high for my liking, but they had live music which we appreciated, an electric violinist! Great time, we'll be back!

Nice food, cozy atmosphere, but our waiter was slow and not very attentive. The tables and booths are situated in a way that makes for a warm setting. The Sea Bass was really good.

It's a little dark in the restaurant for lunch.Service was great, food was awesome and was perfect on timing. Devon is an exceptional server.

Our company took us out for dinner and they chose this location. Nice place for dinner. Salads were dressed well, filet was cooked to my liking but the cake for dessert seemed like it was pre bought. They had live music in the bar and had great cocktails. Definitely recommend

My family and I visited Sage this past weekend. The parking was a breeze. Went when they opened at 5pm. They were out if menus at 5:30 so we had to share. The food was really good. One the best dishes was the clams and mussel bowl. If you like seafood it's a must try

I had dinner at Sage on July 7, 2017. This was my first visit to the restaurant. I was impressed with the ambience and music playing. The food was outstanding. I had the goat cheese chicken with string beans and Yukon roasted potatoes. I also had the iceberg salad which I shared because it was so huge. I will definitely return for another visit.

Even with a crowded parking lot, we got seated immediately, Crab filled mushrooms very good. NY strip, very tender, polenta and asparagus were good. Grouper special was also very tasty. The olive herb mixture was good. Our waiter, Scott was very helpful and kept our drinks replenished. Would visit this restaurant again.

Been to this restaurant three times and it does not disappiont. Nice atmosphere. It's a little dark inside, but the vibe is good. Try the apple martini, it has caramel in it-prrtty good. Service is good. The shrimp and grits appetizers are delicious. I've also had the chicken with Yukon potatoes and veggies. Good flavor. The salmon is good. I've also had the salmon bit for lunch. Delicious. I definitely would recommend checking them out. I'm sure visit again sometime soon.

Three associates and I ate at Sage on Tuesday May 3, 2016. We were in the area meeting with a client and found Sage on Google maps. Glad we did. The Good - 1. The food. The food is very good. The burgers and salmon BLT were very good. The bread and oil is also very good. 2. The space. The space is open, you are not sitting close to another party and the place is very clean. 3. Location. Good location on the perimeter The not so good/odd 1. They plate everything on big heavy plates. The bbq sauce, the mustard, the lemons...all come out on larger than average plates and they are heavy. The table gets full very quickly. Then, the lunch plates are HUGE and are really heavy. We had to shuffle several things to make room. Not a big deal, just odd. 2. Our server was either new or did not know her way around the menu or logistics of the restaurant. She stumbled on her words more than once and did not know what to recommend when asked. I would go here again next time I am in this area of Atlanta.

Waitress/service was great. Atmosphere was great (dim lighting for dinner). Food was great, great, great. No complaints. One time we didn't even order steak or seafood and the food was still amazing, even though steak and seafood are their specialties.

Hostess greeted promptly and friendly. Went to sit at bar to wait for friends but no one acknowledged us at bar so we just went to wait at our table. No bread offered or brought while waiting (maybe they don’t do it anymore). My chicken was well presented and veg (potatoes and beans) were good but chicken was dry. No one came to ask if everything was ok. Sage salad boring. No offer of desert menu or coffee (we would have had some). It was my birthday which had been noted on the OpenTable reservation but it was not even mentioned (no I didn’t expect free desert!). Service was not “enthusiastic”

I hadn't had any prior feedback about this restaurant prior to visiting. I was a little hesitant, especially since it was the place I chose to dine at for my birthday. The now defunct Buckhead location had a young, energetic vibe and tasty menu selection when researching so I thought I would give this place a try. The interior was dark but not in a dreary way. The dimness gave it a cool vibe. There was lots of seating. The decor was modern with dark wood furnishings and splashes of color in the art and lighting decorating the space. The food and service was GREAT. I would even correct myself and give it a SPECTACULAR. The server was friendly and attentive. My appetizer was lump crabmeat stuffed mushroom caps. They had such flavor. I could have stopped with those and been completely satisfied. The entree was seafood fruitti di mar. I can't say enough good things about it. The server had the chef substitute the marinara for a wine sauce after I expressed that I don't like tomato based sauces. She even provided some in my doggy bag. It was abundant with seafood and I LOVE seafood. To conclude this delicious meal, the server requested my favorite flavor and I replied, "Chocolate". She returned with a decadent chocolate birthday cake slice. It was scrumptious! The location isn't desired being directly across the street from one of the busiest shopping malls in Atlanta. Anything off of Ashford Dunwoody can be a nightmare to enter and/or depart. I highly recommend Sage. I would love to return on a Saturday night with friends for some drinks, music (the jazz playing during my visit was nice), and a repeat of the delicious cuisine in a secluded booth. However my 43rd birthday was on a Sunday so it was quiet and intimate, which is not bad either.

This was our first time visiting the restaurant. Great ambience, pleasant environment, great place for a date night.

From the time we walked in to the moment we walked out, this place nailed it. Sometimes you just hit it right...and we did. Service - greeted and seated within minutes. During the menu the manager came over to check on us. Server was pleasant, new but very attentive. Appearance - very clean. Great decor, mood lighting, with a really cool bar and lounge area sporting blue lighting. Food - from the bread and oil to the main dishes, all good. Shrimp bisque was light with a Cajun bite; the chicken panni was juicy and way too big; the grilled pastrami was a blast from the New York past; and the potato wedges were crispy, cooked in fresh oil and had no greasy fingers. Pricing - quite reasonable. Tip- go there

Our waiter, Oliver, was very attentive and the service was great. The food was exceptionally good. We will go back!

Arrived around 7 pm and seated immediately. Sat at a dirty table that a manager had to clean. Music was too loud and dimly lit. Used our phones to read the menu. Hard “overcooked bread” was served with the meals; it was too hard and unable to eat. Prime rib was good but lacked flavor. Sea food combo was fair except the flounder was soft and very mushy. Recommended but was disappointing and overpriced. No need to return.

My first trip to this restaurant was a very good one. We sat at the bar, enjoyed some excellent martini's. I had the bartender surprise me and the drinks were really good. We ate from their bar menu. I had the yummiest mussels, it was so good, I seriously considered going back the next day to enjoy them again. They also have a great rosemary shrimp app. The drinks were reasonably priced (around $9 and $10). The ambiance is fantastic, the place is classy, romantic and dimly lit. The bartenders are friendly and know how to create a great drink, the service is awesome. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I went here for the first time the other night. We ordered the specials of the night - Red Snapper in a Thai broth and Pork Chops with sweet potatoes. When the food arrived the Red Snapper dish, that was supposed to have a nice broth, was completely dry. And, for some reason the kale that I am pretty sure should have been in the bowl was served as a side dish. The fish was also served with the skin on which my husband didn't care for. The server took the meal back and they added the broth and it definitely improved the dish. She also offered a substitute but my husband decided to stay with what he ordered. My dish was HUGE. It was literally served on a platter and had two full sized pork chops as well as a lot of sweet potato wedges and asparagus. The pork chops were ordered medium as that was the suggestion of the server - but were definitely done a tad more than medium as they weren't juicy and the meat was completely white instead of the slight pink the server said I should get with medium. I also wonder if the chops were brined, as again they were a little on the dry side. Not bad enough to return but not perfect either. The service was excellent and the manager did stop by our table to ask how everything was. We gave him honest feedback including the fact the pork chop plate was just entirely too much for one person - at least a somewhat normal eater like myself. A football player may have found the meal appropriate. He told us that their clientele like to take home food so they cook accordingly. Fine if you know what you are getting into and paying for. Personally I don't like leftover pork chops and sweet potatoes but now we know. The wine list by the glass is very good and they have some good reasonably priced wines and a decent pour which I always appreciate when paying over $10 for a glass of wine. I am honestly not sure we would return. I think there are other restaurants in the vicinity that are at the same price point with a little better quality of food.

Great ambience, sat on he patio and had drinks and small plates . ZAck was an excellent server, the bleu cheese m chips were terrific

Celebrated my birthday with my friends. The food and service were phenomenal. I will be returning for a visit.

We came for early Friday night dinner, around 6 PM, before the place filled in. We had a good dinner, couple seafood appetizers, Caesar salad to split (portions are rather large) and we shared a main course (goat cheese stuffed chicken breast). Appetizers were tasty, so was the salad, chicken was slightly overcooked, but good overall. Sides for chicken were just wonderful. The place has a good wine selections: we like big and bold red wines and we had quite a few good options. The place was cozy, nice 'live' music on the background. The best part was the service: Erin did a great job, gave us a couple of good advice and overall took a great care of us. We were on the schedule, so she made sure that all our food came in a timely fashion. Erin made us feel so welcome! We plan to come back and hope to get one of Erin's tables.Thank you!

The ambiance is nice. Nice music playing in the background. The chicken fettuccine was good. The rack of lamb was delicious. The service was great. One of my favorite spots

Attended for the last board dinner with 12 people. Seated in semi-private area and was great for conversation. The meal was fabulous!! The food is awesome... every person was complimentary. We will do all our group dinners here from now on. A little pricey but worth the cost.

We went to Atlanta to purchase a car and we figured, what the heck, we hadn't spent enough money so we decided we were tired and hungry and the menu looked good We ordered the grilled fish combo platter. The shrimp and the scallops would have bounced if they hit the floor. The drinks were healthy and the server pleasant. If we weren't exhausted we would have sent the food back.

Service was top notch, friendly and efficient. I order chicken fettuccine with scallops, it was wonderful. Others in my party enjoyed the meatloaf and salmon salad. Everyone was happy with their selections. The warm bread and olive oil mixture was delightful. I will definitely visit again, can't wait to try the meatloaf.

The WORST customer service of all the places I have ever been. . .in life. When you walk into this establishment. There are signs that say "all food and drink orders are final sale." When I read that, it should have been my warning sign. WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN IS: THEY DON'T CARE IF THEY MESS UP YOUR ORDER. THEY WON'T FIX IT AND YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. I came to celebrate a friend's birthday. When we sat down, it took at least 30 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. My husband, a friend and I ordered Peach Texas Margaritas. I ordered mine with Patron; they ordered theirs with Jose Cuervo. It took at least 30 minutes to get our drinks - even the soft drinks like tea and soda. They brought us two complimentary loaves of bread. . .for 10 people. When we got our drinks, mine had bubbles in it. I assumed this was from it being shaken. It didn't taste like Patron. I tasted my husbands drink. It tasted different. I notified the waiter and told her I didn't think they gave me the correct drink. My drink tasted like they used the wrong alcohol - I suspected it was 1800 Tequila. The waitress returns and said two different things - that my husband's drink and mine were mixed up, but then that the bartender actually ran out of Jose Cuervo, so they made all of the drinks with Patron. (This is a problem. We should have been notified prior to bringing our drinks that what we had ordered was not available, but we weren't) I wasn't offered to have my drink remade since they reportedly switched my husband's and my drink. Nevertheless, I asked to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived - about 30 -45 minutes after receiving the drinks. My drink still had bubbles in it - like detergent. The manager tried to convince me that since she had 15 years of bartending experience, the the bubbles meant it was shaken well. I asked her why my husband and friends drinks didn't have bubble it theirs and she said that it was probably because I had a different drink. I had to explain that we all ordered the same drink and this was when she finally offered to make my drink over (not take it off my bill - because who would want another drink from a bar who makes the same drinks different ways?). I then asked for a bottle of wine . . .which was I charged the difference for. I ordered my dinner - a filet mignon steak blackened and side salad. Did it come out blackened? No. I was hungry. I ate the steak and asked the waiter to make sure that I wasn't billed for the extra $4.95 for the "blackened" topping on my steak. The steak was good. The salad never came. The charge was still on my bill. I noticed it after I had already given the server my card. I asked again for the manager. A different manager came and essentially said they could do nothing about it because I didn't tell anyone about it when they could have corrected it even though the entire party of 10 vouched that I never received the salad. Many establishments would have at least offered to pack the salad to go or offer a dessert or a voucher to return. I was offered nothing but a half-hearted apology after spending over $300 + added gratuity AND ADDITIONAL GRATUITY. THE POLICIES AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT ARE TERRIBLE. I had several problems with my order - some I notified the waitress and "managers" about and some I did not. It didn't matter if it did - they did nothing about it. I hope the owner sees this post and does some actual training of the managers on customer service and improvement of attention to customers orders. They probably won't, but at least you have been warned.

It has been over a year since I ate here and I am glad to say it is still very good. It's a large restaurant but a quiet one that gives you the opportunity talk over a great meal The food is very flavorful and the wait staff is very attentive. There was nothing I requested of them that was not immediately taken care of. A good choice for dining out.

I am not a big fan of the typical company Christmas party food...usually some cold meatballs and room temp shrimp cocktail. But, Sage did it right. The bruschetta was a tasty appetizer. And, the petite filet was exceptionally tender. Only complaint: the green beans were over seasoned with raw garlic.

This restaurant was a referral from another friend and I just love this place! The food is great, it is very popular place for mature adults. The also feature live music on some nights! The food is great nice place for date night!

Took my wife here for Anniversary date food was delicious , the chef is very talented . We had complementary wine . Atmosphere is awesome . Staff are very hospitable . The live sound is cool. The dance floor area is nice .... The single women out number the men 3 to 1 . I recommend!

The restaurant was very dark and I couldn't see the menu well. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it was very watery with processed chicken and bacon bits. My Texas Margarita was full of ice so my drink tasteless. The waiter was very attentive.

Stopped by Sage for dinner and was pleasantly surprised to find live music in the bar area. This place was happening - definitely a go-to in Dunwoody for date night.

I met some friends here. It was easy to get to from 285. The portions were large enough to have leftovers. Our server Drea (sp?) was very attentive and nice. However the other wait staff kept coming to ask if we were finished and clear our plates. It felt as if we were being rushed. By the time the bread came only one or two of our party of six had a plate to use. Then one of the managers came to also help remove plates from the table. He removed the remaining bread, came back with it in a bag and left the bag smack in the middle of the table. The food was good except for the granny smith apple bread pudding that I was so excited about. I was so full, I ordered it to go. It looked like and tasted like stuffing. Just a big lump of bread mush. I would definitely go back for the food (not the bread pudding, that was a huge disappointment), but only if Drea was our server and she could help us keep plates at the table.

Nice atmosphere, great food, outstanding service, wide menu selection, RIDICULOUS that Trip Advisor DEMANDS a minimum length in the review. I'm done with reviews for Trip Advisor!

We were at this restaurant for our Anniversary dinner and were quite pleased with the food and overwhelmed with the quality of service. We went with our 1 year old and the server, Rashaad, made sure he was comfortable. We ordered the Surf and Turf Duo and liked the food and its presentation. We loved the ambiance with the low lighting, soft & soothing music and a peaceful atmosphere. The manager had overheard us mentioning about our anniversary to guests from another table who started a conversation with us about our playful son. We were surprised in the end when she brought over a chocolate cake decorated beautifully over a tray with whipped cream, flower petals, decorative stones and LED lights and with two glasses of champagne. Honestly, with our prior experience with so many restaurants, we were expecting a small cake. But this was beyond our expectation; a lovely gesture and we loved it. Would definitely recommend spending a special occasion at this place.

This was a wonderful dining experience! The lights are low creating a welcoming atmosphere. That night we dined in a comfortable booth with live violin music in the background. We split the tasty bang bang shrimp appetizer(beautifully presented and delicious). We shared the dinner special: basil crusted red fish and bacon brussel sprouts. Crusty bread was served with the appetizer with a bowl of herbed olive oil drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Every dish was beautifully presented. The service was excellent and the hospitality was top notch. If you are in the area, the Sage would be a definite choice for a date.

We visited with a party of 5. The hostess was less than welcoming but after we got beyond that our server and service was good. It would have been nice to know the menu items that were not available before we made our selections. The overall interior decor needs some attention - it is very dark, not very comfortable and needs updating. The food however was very good.

We had a group of seven for a business dinner. The food was great, I had steak and mashed potatoes. Fried pickles, and fried goat cheese also delicious.

This is a great spot to go to to eat and drink late. You can eat outside or inside. Very comfortable, good variety of food even late at night.
Delicious food
The wait for our order and food was a little longer than I wanted but the food was absolutely amazing. I am looking forward to the next visit with hopes to try something else on the menu.
