This place is OUTSTANDING. Needs more reviews.

By Odyssey503805 |

This place has little reviews and people need to review it more. No wonder it’s always full on any day of the week. The food is outstanding, pizza is extremely tasty, crust is fantastically made to complement the rest of the pizza. We also orders the steak (bistecca). We ordered medium rare, we got medium rare. Cooked to perfection accompanied by delicious Parmesan French fries and good salad. I don’t know when the saxophone player is at the restaurant at what times, but when he is, the ambiance is very enjoyable. It’s next to the busy Biscayne Blvd is which is slightly annoying listening cars pass by, and that’s the only minus. Staff is friendly, quick, and helpful. If you are into fine dining at a very fair price, look no further than Sagra Pizza Bar. Must visit!

DISAPPOINTED

By Maria G |

Have passed by this restaurant at night and was curious to find out why it is always busy. This Saturday 4/18/21 my family decided to celebrate my sister's birthday and we went in for lunch at @ 1:00pm. We sat inside since it was a bit hot outside. We were seated at the end corner and the flies were all over us; my niece killed three of them with napkins. . My mother and I got there a few minutes later than the rest of the party and we were never asked what we wanted to drink. The service was really, really slow. The food was okay; I had the European seabass for $18 which was not that great. I have had much better ones. My sister was embarrassed that the waiter would not see or come our way after waving all our hands trying to get his attention and other people eating there would tell him to look our way. This happened a few times. I don't think we will come back here.

Great Value, Good Food

By Thegoodegg |

Our friends love this restaurant and we joined them last weekend and know why. The food is excellent, the prices are intentionally low to pull in customers who then feel it is ok to splurge on wine or drinks and there is a big patio outside which feels fresh and lovely. It happened to rain in the middle of our meal and the staff literally carried our two tables inside so we wouldn't get wet. The other tables fit under the ample awnings. What a nice spot! Definitely stop in for good Italian food and very pleasant ambiance when you are in the neighborhood.

Deceitful Waiter

By Norman M |

We placed an order for a pizza. Now mind you, the menu has approximately 10 pizzas, each with a variety of toppings, for $16. When we thought the waiter was describing the toppings that were on the pizza, we nodded our head and said that sounds good. When we got the bill, we were shocked. The $16 pizza that was described on the menu Suddenly became a $28 pizza with $12 worth of toppings. At no point did the waiter say these toppings were extra. When we ask them about it, he was holy unapologetic and said this was the pizza that you ordered. Needless to say, had we known these toppings were not included in the custom pizzas that were described on the menu, we never would’ve ordered it.

Excellent!

Have been passing by for a few weeks now but could not figure what type of restaurant it was. Did some research and found out it was a pizza bar. Was there last night and it is much more than a pizza bar. Pizzas are delicious and taste like no other pizza in Miami (and I consider myself a pizza expert :-) ). Friendly service makes you feel like you are in a friend's house. Great choices, great desserts (Ricotta Cheesecake is really good) and great value for money. Definitely recommend.

DONT DO IT!

By Janel L |

I have never written a review for a restaurant but I feel like this is a public service. I was excited seeing the place and then we sit down and they used blue body shop towels for napkins. The waiter asked my friend what she wanted to drink and walked away before me and her boyfriend could answer. We ordered the shrimp, garlic knots and mango goat cheese salad. As he was walking out with the food, I saw the garlic knots and my heart sank. When the food arrived flies swarmed our table and we eventually swatted them away, we were seated on the terrace. The mango salad was a handful of spring mix in the middle with mandolin slices of mango that had a brownish color with a fried nugget of goat cheese in the middle and balsamic drizzle. I have never seen fried goat cheese in a salad. When I tasted the food it tasted rotten but I didn’t want to seem ungrateful to my friend who took me out, so I gave it a chance. The garlic knots had a blue color on them and tasted rotten again. They were hard but undercooked at the same time. The shrimp looked fine but was rubbery and I couldn’t get that rotten taste out of my mouth. So I just kept drinking water which was good. Then I used the restroom. This explained everything. The door was covered in dirt on the outside and inside. It was very dirty. When I returned, I ordered a pizza because I thought with a wood fired oven they couldn’t mess that up so bad. But when it arrived it was raw except the crust and had pools of grease and two basil leaves that had brown spots. I gave it a try because I didn’t want to embarrass my friend. I couldn’t even fold the pizza in half to eat it because it just flopped down. And it tasted rotten again. I could only eat part of one piece. My friend got lobster ravioli that cooked like it was from a can. She said hers tasted off. Then they ordered dessert but I refused which I never do but couldn’t eat anything else or I was going to get sick. Her boyfriend was eating everything so I thought maybe it was just me. The crème brûlée was like pudding inside. Her chocolate cake was soggy and had old caramel on it. I tooled the pizza home bc I didn’t want to be rude. Her boyfriend asked if it was going to get busy? They said it was the “off” season. But there was a formula 1 race in town and it was a Saturday night. But this experience has taught me a lot about speaking up bc we ended up having a huge argument over it the next day and it almost ruined my trip to Miami. Dine at your own risk.

Nice little Italian joint

Nice little place which offers the classic Italian dishes like pizza & pasta etc. Has a nice little patio where you can sit, but very close to a busy road so also quite noisy. Food was ok.

A Slice Of Pizza Plus in Miami Shore Neighborhood

By August z |

In the days of Covid-19 many of sort refuge from New York City by heading to Florida. Being restricted this winter from dinning because of Covid -19 and the winter cold, we headed to the south east area of Florida. Being here for a period of time we had the opportunity to travel from West Palm to Miami with many great outdoor dinning restaurants. One of our days of golf brought us to the Miami Shore Golf Club. After a round of golf our foursome wanted to stop for an early dinner. We notice a small Italian Pizza restaurant a couple of blocks away "Sagra Pizza Bar" with ample outside seating and parking on Biscayne & NE 110 Street. WHAT A FIND!!! The outside seating was very comfortable and even though your were on Biscayne, you weren't bothered by traffic. To our delight Sagra has a full bar, so we enjoyed cocktails before ordering. They menu consisted of Coal Fired Pizza with more combinations then the Pizza Connoisseur would imagine. But it doesn't stop there, salads, grilled fresh fish, steaks, chops and chicken that is WOW (takes 30 minutes to cook and well worth the time), also daily specials. We tried the mussels and they where outstanding. All there entrees are grilled on their open fire grill and served with salad and Really good Rosemary-Parmesan fries. All pizzas are $12.00 and all the grill dishes are $18.00, a great bargain that doesn't take away from the quality of the dishes or the service. With some imagination you feel as if you are dining on one of the many small streets of Venice instead of Biscayne Blvd. OPPS, don't forget the Italian cheese cake.

Good pizza in this local gem

This was a find with really good pizza and appetizers are very competitive prices. Re4ccomend both the Margherita and Clam/Vongole Pizzas. We will be back.

Great Italian Restaurant that brings the taste and hospitality of real Italy to Miami!

By Alexander I |

I am honored to be the first person to review this wonderful new restaurant on Tripadvisor.com I have wondered into this restaurant when I was in the area and was quiet impressed not only with the inside décor and large outdoor seating area, but also with a friendly and professional level of service by the wait staff, along with the quality and selection of food on the menu. I and my friends had lunch that included lamb chops, bronzini among other things and not only the portions were large and the food presentation was superb, but also the taste and quality of all dishes was excellent. The restaurant also offers great choice of pizza which is made on premises and gets prepared in an outside wood burning oven and has a full bar as well as excellent coffee beverages and desserts, Since my initial lunch at this restaurant, I have been back with my family and this place is also great for family dining experience. Highly recommended and I wish there were more new restaurants that would offer the same level of service, quality and value in Miami! I am plan to become a regular customer now and wish the owners and staff much luck and success!

Fantastic restaurant!

By Scott B |

We love this fantastic Italian restaurant that served great wood fired pizzas and plenty of excellent entrées, including risotto, pasta dishes, seafood dishes, and more. It also had a really good wine menu. The restaurant is really nice with an outdoor courtyard lit up with twinkly lights and enlivened with fun music. Our waiter was great, although the bus staff didn’t clear our plates or fill our water up. Finally, this is a great restaurant, but in kind of a sketchy neighborhood right next to a gun store and right across the road from a sex shop. So it’s a little bit out of place.

Cute place but awful service

By c0r0zal |

I love the food and ambiance of this place but as always our waiter ( a Spanish Sr) is arrogant, unprofessional and hard to deal with. I usually go twice a month but I am not going anymore.

Gorgeous restaurant

By Edith G |

This is a Gorgeous restaurant with a warm lightning and ambience. We had dinner outside and we had a delicious lamb and brancino. The meats come with a fresh salad and delicious potatoes. I will get back for brick oven pizza that I saw in other table! The owner is very known in Miami in other restaurants, very kind guy. I really recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food, low prices, great ambiance!

By MarcelleMiami |

The word is definitely out about this gem of a restaurant. There are a few tables inside but most are outside with flame lights. Very nice ambiance. It’s a small menu but lots of variety. The garlic knot appetizers are not to be missed. They charge $2 per knot. Do not share! You’ll be sorry if you don’t have your own. Salads are delicious and shareable. Pizza is just delicious. Where can you get a 12 inch pizza for $12 including toppings? Then there are about 10 main courses for $18 which includes salad and Parmesan fries. I loved my lamb chops and my husband loved his branzino. There’s a full bar. There’s live music, too, on weekends. Make a reservation. There were about 20 people just waiting for a table. Will definitely go back.

Consistently fresh food, well-prepared and plated. Excellent service

By ibernfeld |

We started ordering from Sagra shortly after they opened right before the pandemic and it has become the place in our neighborhood for lunch and dinner as they have a lovely patio outside and their food and their service is excellent. Their pizzas are made with fresh and quality ingredients as are their menu items and specials. There is seating indoors, but it is a bit loud in there.

Neighborhood Spot

By Anna & Alex |

Sagra is a perfect neighborhood spot with affordable food. We've had a chance to try several of the pizzas, one of their pasta specials, their arugula salad and kale parmesan salad (both of my favorite) and their prosciutto with burrata. Pizzas have been okay, (their crust is the best part) and same with the pasta. Next I look forward to trying their grilled branzino. As I said, if you are looking for a neighborhood spot, with good Italian food, Sagra is the place.

Really Bad Pizza and a Reason to Stay Home

By mettraveler |

By all means, go here based on the reviews and best of luck to you. Pizza is small and with no taste. Crust is chewy like gum. Just wet bland sauce on a shrunken chewy crust. Pies are gratefully small and each slice is two or three bites before you hit crust. Just really bad on every level. Salad was literally bagged spring mix lettuce with a few razor thin slices of pear on top. Nothing else whatsoever. And just $16! This may be a Miami-thing. Maybe the pear convinces the chef (line cook) that his salad creation is just so abstract and tres chic. Well it's not. It's absurd. And it's insulting to any customer that orders a salad. The main courses? Yuck or tolerable. Don't get the eggplant. I warned you! We could not conceive of any reason to return. Nor can we imagine why any right-minded human would offer a positive review.

Very bad experience.

Went back after sometime. Food is still OK, however service is horrible. Rude, arrogant waiter, couldn't give a dam ! Never again, avoid.
