Great ambiance, superb food

By Inge J |

Had dinner in the very nice outside area. Very cozy and relaxed. We had excellent cocktails, mussels, charcuterie & cheese board, scallops, and filet. Everything was very nicely presented and prepared. Attentive service. Recommended.

Great Location & Patio - Must return for Dinner

By DallasTexasfan |

We dined here for lunch and enjoyed the great patio. Even though it was a little chilly (the patio was in the shade for lunch which I prefer in Texas), there were outdoor heaters for warmth. The food was good but not great. I chose the cobb salad which included chicken. The chicken was actually quite minimal so the next time I will have additional chicken added. Based on some of the previous reviews, I was not expecting much service but was pleasantly surprised. We had good service. Because of the atmosphere and location, I believe this is a more appealing destination for dinner. I plan to revisit.

Brunch, Lunch, Dinner... It's all great!

By Montgomery H |

I have now had brunch, lunch, and dinner at Saint Ann and I have been thoroughly impressed by every experience. The staff is extremely nice and will make a perfect suggestion. The Museum upstairs is an amazing added bonus. Bravo and well done Saint Ann. Salmon is amazing on the dinner menu. Lunch specialties are great... I recently had a chorizo burger with avocado, pico, and a friend egg and it was perfect.

Good service

Good service . Food was fresh. The menu was broad. Salads were delicious. Easy parking but easy to miss the entrance. Free valet. Decor is good. Cool Samurai museum upstairs

Interesting food, nice environment

By J Person |

We went to St. Ann prior to a show, and told them we were a bit rushed. It was not crowded and they accommodated us nicely. The only drawback was that it was clearly the first day/week for our server, who knew very little about the menu. Still, he was pleasant and eager to help. We started with salads, house and caesar, both nicely executed and presented. The main courses were excellent, including grilled salmon prepared to order, and moist and tasty shortribs. The special was a risotto, and it was also excellent. We had one excellent side--truffle fries, which were gone in an instant. We were celebrating, so we had four glasses of La Marca prosecco, $11 each. A nicely presented dinner, in a comfortable place, but not cheap. If was $212 before tip for four people, one drink each, with appetizer and main.

Yummy Food, Mimosa Pitchers

By Betsy S |

My sister and I went to Saint Ann's for brunch. Food was delicious, mimosas were strong and service was good. We enjoyed eating out on their patio. Great spot to meet friends.

Okay but that is all

By C K |

I thought my food was really good - although the asparagus were kind of mushy in places. I did not think the service was good - except for the water waiter - I thought he was great and VERY attentive. I like the outdoor dining and we were able to sit inside and still get a similar feeling because the doors were left open to the outside dining area. This restaurant is located close to some of Dallas' downtown attractions - American Airlines Center, for instance, and a short drive to Klyde Warren park, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Perot Museum, etc. Again, I thought my food was good but the service was not up to my expectations.

Great food, fun atmosphere

By heather b |

After quite a few recommendations, we finally tried Saint Ann before heading to AAC for a concert (which is so convenient, by the way!) It worked out great! The patio was really nice and inviting, but it was typical Texas-hot, so we opted for inside. Our waiter was very nice and attentive; our water glasses were always full. The food selection was fairly limited I thought but we were all able to find something we wanted. I didn't like that you couldn't substitute sides with your meal.... We tried the rock bottom shrimp (i think was the name... for an app) it was good, not the greatest appetizer but still good. The salads were okay as well. Our meals were very delicious, however across the table the steaks were cooked more "well done" than requested. My husband ordered medium, but his was well done with no pink. And the drinks were really good! The sangria is excellent. The atmosphere was fun, laid back and casual. It did get pretty loud in there after 6pm, so maybe when it gets cooler the patio is a better option for dinner.

Drinks only

Beautiful restaurant. Would have love to eaten there but we went for drinks after a hockey game. Great service. Love the ambiance..

Book Early

By Fiwake |

When making our reservation, we were unaware that the kitchen closed at 3. The only times available were 2:15 and 2:30PM. We arrived early to our reservation and stood at the hosts stand. They said they were “running behind on reservations”. After about 15 minutes we checked to see if we could finally be seated. We were given a table and the waitress came out and told us that the kitchen was closing at 3PM but the bar would remain open.We quickly ordered and our food was served promptly. After our dishes were taken away, the bill was given to us even though we would have liked a few more drinks. Our waitress never asked if we needed anything else. It was very rushed- certainly not the best experience and they missed out on extra business. We went to a bar/restaurant next door and spent our money there instead. Overall experience- unideal. Overall atmosphere- lovely- great decor and beautiful patio. Overall food- plenty of options and flavor. Overall service- she was pleasant but rushed and obviously wanted to be done with her shift.

Great food in a unique setting

By kcwKeyWest_FL |

The food and service were both outstanding. The ambiance is interesting. The noise level is low enough to have a conversation.

Lots of waiting, not much eating.

By John M |

Miserable experience: first and last visit. Arrived about 35 minutes before our 5:45 pm reservation for dinner pre AAC event. Offered an outdoor patio table on a 93 degree day, a bar table or an hour and a half wait for an inside dining room table. We opted for the bar; which was perfectly fine. Ordered three course restaurant week menu as soon as the waiter gave us the opportunity and then the waiting began. Appetizers (a caesar salad and a cold dip with pita and chips) which required nothing but plating and serving somehow took 30 to 40 minutes to arrive and were completely average. At the hour and a half mark when there was still no sign of our entrees and we saw a table that had been seated well before us asking where their food was, we decided to call it a day and asked for the check. Another couple that was seated next to us a little after we arrived and who also had only received their appetizers had already done the same. Second star in this two star review for an experience entirely deserving on one star was bought by the waiter who comped us a beer and a soda and apologized profusely.

Great!

By eric v |

I am actually late on my review! Customer service was good even the manager was walking around making sure we were okay. The steak is great choice better then a lot of the steakhouse's in the area, my girlfriend had a chicken salad and everything came out very well and tasted great. The only down we did have was with our waiter and our drinks. we had one drink literally until our food came out my glass was empty long enough to the point I asked the water server if I could have some water. It is a bit pricey for dinner and if im going to pay that much for dinner I expect GREAT customer service. It was a great atmosphere and you DO NOT have to dress up super fancy as people go here before event at the AAC! Harwood is really growing and building more restaurants i'm excited to try them all out! Great place to take your significant other! :)

Consistently Good

By glenagrit |

Been to SA dozens of times and have always enjoyed it. Went on a sunday night before a concert and once again it was crowded for a sunday early evening dinner. Assume it was a holiday party crowd. Wine selection is nice with some surprises and reasonably priced. I like the way they change their menu seasonally. This time only 2 seafood selections on the menu and had the salmon which was outstanding. I always ask for it rare and it rarely ever comes out that way but they did a great job and it was done exactly to my liking. Overall another great experience at Saint Ann's.

Mostly a hit (but a miss, too!)

By SBR |

Very interesting restaurant in a good downtown location. Large patio with several fire pits. Went for the first time on a Sunday evening-the weather was nice so doors were open to the patio. Not very busy so have no complaints re: service. As another reviewer mentioned, the wine list is limited and expensive with little to choose from if you just want a glass. Cocktails are ok. Salads/appetizers were very good-beet salad and smoked salmon (huge portion) were standouts. Got our server's recommendation for entrée (pork chop)-it was perfectly cooked, but so salty that had we not been with friends, I would have sent it back (& I tend to use too much salt!). The side (grits) were just ok. The filet was well-cooked (not over-salted); its side of mac and cheese was excellent. Bone-in rib eye was very good. The prices are a little high, but it is appreciated not having to order sides (although I will order a side of the mac and cheese in the future if it doesn't come with my entrée). We will most likely return in the future-at the very least, I want to check out the samurai museum (closed when we were there).

Preconcert Drinks and Apps

By Aimee M |

We parked in the adjoining deck and easily located the restaurant. We arrived at 5:30 and were happy see happy hour prices, with many yummy food options as well as my favorite, Prosecco on the happy hour menu. We had four ladies in our party, and we were pre-partying for the JT concert at the American Airlines Center. After 90 mins of drinks and apps - and great service- we walked to the concert. The walk is a bit farther than I care for in heels..but no farther than we would have walked from an outing AAC parking lot. After the concert, we were thrilled with the short walk and how quickly we accessed the freeway. I pass a lot of red tail lights in parking lots as we zoomed home! The drink pours were generous and all the happy hour items we ordered were sharable portions. We will be bag to St. Ann's before the next concert!

Great brunch for couples or a group.

By ndmny |

Nice variety on the brunch menu, which includes pancakes, eggs, salads, and a few surprises. The acoustics inside can make it difficult to hear an intense conversation, but the outdoor dining is beautiful. The server was professional, knew the menu, and did not rush our leisurely brunch.

Cool setting and great food

By Mark B |

Outdoor space is superb as is the food. Heirloom tomato salad and filet were excellent. Total bill was almost $100 with 2 glasses of wine.

Saint Ann

By Bob E |

Good food. Large beer selection with many locals in bottles that I had never seen before. I had the ribeye, it was better than than a lot of high end steak houses I had been to. Good service.

Loved the patio dining

By 860SusanB860 |

Just had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Saint Ann's - our first visit to this restaurant. Tucked away in a little tree-lined section of downtown Dallas, this proved to be a wonderful place for an early meal. We chose to sit outside on the shaded patio under umbrellas and lighted trees. (They even had strong fans to keep it cooled off). 11:00 was a perfect time, both weather-wise and crowd-wise. The bloody marys, mimosas, and sangria were all outstanding. The eggs benedict, salmon benedict, pork tacos and strawberry shortcake french toast were all nice portions, cooked to perfection and delicious. Our waiter, Jeff, was attentive and not hovering. An acoustic guitarist began playing at noon and was excellent. This is a great place to sit back and enjoy a meal and people watch. Very enjoyable.

Restaurant Week

By Pat W |

This restaurant is superb everything from appetizers to desserts are top quality!! My appetizer was the shrimp with herbs and salsa the shrimp were nice and large, my friend had the tomato and mozzarella that was seasoned just right!! My entree was the salmon on a bed of mushrooms and squash and my friend had the mahi- mahi on a bed of grilled asparagus both were excellent!! For dessert I had the carrot cake and she had the chocolate mousse cake and they were both to die for!! Parking is a bit of a hassle but don’t let that stop you from going to this restaurant it is well worth it👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍

Food is very good but service is very bad

By carlosreyes60 |

We went for Easter brunch, arrived at 10:30, and received our first course (fruit, deviled eggs and salad) at 11:45, awful service

The vibe at this place on a Sunday morning for brunch is absolutely rewarding. Lovely live music. Am definitely coming back next time I'm in town

Nice Patio Dining

By Johnmac541 |

Always like the patio at Saint Ann. They have both an indoor and outdoor patio. The indoor patio has a clear cover now so you can enjoy the sky. It will be interesting to see what happens when the Texas heat hits. Pleaty of valet parking. Salmon dish is very good. Shrimp salad was a winner. Nice bacon wrapped jalapenos & the burrata salad was tasty. Good service but can be a little slow at times. Especially from the bar. Wine list could use a little more variety and it would be nice if they had local draft beers. Overall good place to go.

American Food

By MissM54313 |

St Ann serves American food in a nice atmosphere. I had the pork chop, which was quite large and very delicious. The bread pudding was the best I've ever had, and that's saying a lot because I try the bread pudding every time it's available.

Excellent for a quick dinner before a Mavs game

By Keith L |

Really an excellent place to grab a quick bite and a drink before heading over to the AA arena. Great atmosphere and wonderful food.

Outdoor space is beautiful!!

By Pamela F |

We loved St. Ann's! Food was great, service was great, and the weather was outstanding so we sat outside! That outdoor space is lovely while the indoor are was well appointed! I would certainly recommend St.Ann's to anyone!

So cute!

By Janet0505 |

Finally experience Saint Ann and was not disappointed! That is one of the best patios around! Shaded but still bright but with trees come birds, bird poop and wind taking leaves into your water. You're outside so be cool about it. If you don't love it, pop inside for the same yummy food. Service wasn't the best as I think our server was sat in a funky timing so he was having to do a lot of running, but our order came out correctly and it was delicious! Props to the kitchen during a busy brunch. Overall, it's a cute little place to be seen, if that's your thing, or just have a good meal on a cool patio. We'll definitely be giving it another try.

Love this place..great atmosphere

By tlfintulsa |

This is our second time to go to Saint Ann. The food was incredible and the ambiance was perfect. We went on one of the busiest weekends in Dallas (OU TX game) but the restaurant did not seem too busy, even though every table was taken. The food was great. They made a special dish for my wife who is a vegan and it was fantastic. Definitely one of my favorites.

A new service system!

By Anastasia6608 |

Well...We supposed to have a Birthday Brunch but it didn't go as good as we expected. It wasn't our first visit by the way. We had a reservation for 9. When first 4 people showed up they host told us they can only sitted up when everybody would be there or they can sit us at the table for four and the rest of us at the oter table. Never heard of this idea before but OK.

Truffle Mac n cheese

By O T |

Really enjoyed my visit especially the patio dining area..nice soft rock music..menu is somewhat limited for dinner

Nice Atmosphere

By 1FRANKLIN32 |

A nice atmosphere especially with the fire pits and osculating fans (with water mist). There are more than a few that are outside so look around. The food was good (little expensive) but the Bar/Restaurant is trendy. The service was so, so (but hope the Restaurant has better)? This is my first visit but would try it again.

Great European food

By AppleStud |

Very good service....genuine european recipes. Understated yet comfortable seating inside. Nice drinks and reasonable prices. Get reservations if possible. It's a locals' place!

Delicious Food and Drinks

By Karly C |

While visiting Dallas with some girlfriends this past weekend, they chose Saint Ann to eat on our first night in the city. What a fantastic choice! The drinks were delicious (I had the Skinny Vita, which was refreshing and not too sweet) but the food really stood out. We had a couple appetizers, the mussels and the bacon wrapped jalapenos, and both were awesome. I had the scallops for the main course, which were cooked to perfection, but my friend got the pork chop, and boy do I wish I had gone with that! It was amazing!! It's a bit pricey, but completely worth it. I would highly recommend stopping by!

Use To Be Better

By Kathy C |

Took my daughter for a birthday celebration brunch and was disappointed. The cheese board was one of our favorites but this time the selection was one of the saddest I've ever seen. We got charged extra for more bread as well. Grapes use to come included but when we asked for some we were charged $5 for a handful of grapes! The cheese board was served with mustard which no one in our party would eat. We also came for the birthday sparkler dessert only to find out they no longer offer this. No one in our party enjoyed this visit sadly.

Birthday Brunch

I visited this nice cozy restaurant on 12/17/22. The staff was perfectly nice! I loved the ambiance and I'd definitely return.

Nice environment and good quality food

By Gianluca Bazzica |

As soon as I entered the restaurant I lived the place. I loved the bread appetizers, that are some kind of very light pizza...very delicious. Definitely a very nice dining location in Dallas downtown!

Top notch service & food

By Nicholas120 |

I highly recommend this place for a leisure or business lunch if you are in the Dallas area. The management & servers are very attentive, the atmosphere is elegant, and each menu items we tried was highly rated by our group of diners.

Top 5 Favorite Outdoor Patio!

By Jelena B |

This is a great place to put on your list for outdoor patio happy hours, lunches, brunches or dinner! One of the largest garden patios in Dallas that offers causal outdoor seating with fire pits, plenty of tables so you will not have to wait or fight for seating and live music depending on the night. I've only had wine and appetizers here, and that too was fantastic. Highly recommend coming here, it's beautiful and I haven't been disappointed yet!

Large party handled easily

By dougb3301 |

I had a birthday party for my wife and 26 of her friends and Rosa took care of everything. From the time I talked with Rosa about about what I was thinking she took over over and suggested a menu that she allowed me to tweak, I was able to add a birthday greeting to the menu as well, she accommodated the group when we had to move indoors due to the weather and just overall made it a great party. The service was great, the food was great and everybody had a wonderful time. Easy peazy....thanks Rosa.

great outdoor patio seating

By 949kbunk |

came for brunch on a Saturday without a reservation; was seated quickly. Menu is limited but the food was ok and drinks were good; sadly waitress kind of ruined the vibe with her crappy don't care attitude and serious lack of attention. I only tipped her 15% but she honestly barely deserved it, but I could never bring myself to stiff a food server, but for the first time in my life I thought about it at this restaurant. I would come back and hope that I get a better server next time. Management take note.....check your server's skills and attitudes. On the positive side the space was lovely and the outdoor patio area is large and really pretty; a park like setting. It is located near downtown. Lot's of cool restaurants in the immediate area. Valet parking across the street.

Food is average. Service is bad

By SeeHDub |

In general, this place has terrible service. Never come here if the weather is even half way decent because the kitchen and staff get completely overwhelmed by folks enjoying the patio. The charcuterie/cheese board is solid, but literally every other thing on the menu is average. The wine menu is terrible. I am a huge wine guy, and it is a really bad list. The only redeeming factor of Saint Ann is the very cool atmosphere and location. Even so, I'd rather have tasty food elsewhere than bad food in a nice place.

Saint Anne's is a dream!

By MarkPurdue |

Wow. 1st time visit. Amazing menu selections for appetizers and entrees. Everything was incredibly tasty and appealing. The bar inside was appealing with couches and hightops. Inside restaurant comfortable. And excellent outside patio with music, umbrellas and more.

Restaurant in a repurposed school building

By Pawnie52 |

Within easy walking distance from American Airlines Center. Can eat inside or out. Extensive bar. Friendly wait staff. Good food. Walked up there after a game with no reservations on a Sunday evening. No wait time.

Delightful Dinner

By Mark N |

We had heard about the Japanese Samari exhibit at St Ann’s which was well worth visiting, but we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent restaurant below. We had cocktails while we waited for a table and enjoyed the conversation with staff and the excellent drinks. Try one of their smoked cocktails, yummy. The wait staff was pleasant and efficient. Service was well paced. The wine list is a bit limited but has some excellent choices over the gamut of varietals. Our dinners were excellent, from short ribs to steak, mahi mah, flat breads, salads and deserts. No one had a bad dinner. If you are in the uptown area give a try. You will enjoy the atmosphere and the food.

Love this place!

By rlewi32 |

Great restaurant with great service! Food is always good and atmosphere is fun and lively. One of the best in the Hardwood area.

The ambiance, the food, the service

By Juan G |

Either inside or in the patio, Saint Ann offers a great ambiance to eat in groups or as a couple. The food has noticeable high quality ingredients and great taste. Martin was very friendly and made us feel at home. Would definitely go back!

The Bubbly wasn't Champagne

By Jim H |

Brunch was on our mind. Rushing in before 3 was imperative. We made it! Five minutes to. Our waiter advised that we should order our food first in order to avail ourselves of the Brunch menu. After reviewing it we felt it was no great shakes. The guys ordered burgers with a fried egg. Tasty but sloppy, Yoke and tomatoes dripped all over. The woman had BLT's with glac....why not call it a BLTG??? Our drinks were a bottle of white for the girls. A red for my pal for me a cocktail "School is out" which had dry ice cubes in it. It bubbled away as we all had a sip. I was afraid to take a gulp wondering if I swallowed dry ice would it freeze my innards. I really was concerned. This drink should be served with instructions. It was a great tasting drink surely a conversation piece too. The ladies' wine which had to be kept cold was a minor issue. Our woman friend is one of those folks who always need a little extra attention when dining out. There's always a request for something ....may I have some pepper..would you take the bacon out of the BLT..things which you think .."what the".......Well that is how she is take it or leave it. This time she was right. The waiter poured their wine from the bottle they ordered then he walked away with the bottle, instead of putting it on ice at our table. Our friend complained how do I know he didn't switch the bottle after our first glass. I know that isn't a request for pepper or something, there is validity to her statement. Oh well. All and all this is a beautiful spot. Filled with happy people having a fun filled time. The brunch food was reasonably priced and good. The drinks were on the high side, that's what you pay for, the ambiance. I would go back. Our friends have been there a few times. We were all pleased.

Nice indoor outdoor venue

By Phillip K |

Nice Saturday afternoon place to eat, drink and chill. The brunch menu has a number of attractive items. We had the crab benedict, a great burger, steak and eggs and a standard eggs and sausage plate. Located in a historic building with a nice museum of Japanese samurai art. Very cool.

Warm atmosphere, Attentive Service, Delicious food

By Familytraveler2010 |

This was my second visit. Our daughter lives in Dallas and this is a favorite spot. In cooler seasons, the outside patio is lively and fun. The interior decor is also warm and inviting. Enjoyed the salmon tartar, coconut soup and beet salad. Brussel Sprouts are a favorite. Menu is not extensive, but everything on it we have tried is delicious.

Meh.

By Tanya |

My family had dinner at St Ann. We were seated in the back right corner which was surrounded on 3 sides by waiter's stations, with the door into the kitchen in one corner. The waitress was friendly and helpful but the food was average at best. The dip trio appetizer was....eh. I ordered the pork chop...it was cooked well, juicy and tender. The green chile grits were somewhat bland and too thin...the fact that the juice from the pork ran all over the plate didnt help. The members of our party had steak, salmon and pork sandwiches...all were simply "okay". The truffle mac and cheese was tasty at first bite but ultimately too rich and too heavy on the truffle oil, which can be overwhelming. Looks like ti would be fun to sit outside at the fire pits during good weather but other than that, I was completely underwhelmed, especially considering the prices.

Uptown Girl, Saint Ann

By TLShehan |

After reading several positive reviews about this very unique restaurant (with a museum upstairs), we invited guests to accompany us to Saint Ann's for dinner. And so glad we did; this place certainly leaves a great impression! Yep, from the bar where pours are plentiful to outside on the shady patio where a wonderful day can be spent under beautiful trees in the garden. Choosing to sit inside on a cool day, our server hit the spot right off; she was courteous, polite, and full of excitement about not only the specials but the concert she had attended the previous week. Her suggestions to try the pork tenderloin were perfect as well as her help with a perfect wine pairing. Enjoyed our night out so much that we returned the following eve with a group of seven! If you like the other white meat, the pork chop is awesome too! The heirloom tomato appetizer tastes great as well. Had another great night and plan to return again. Keep up the great job, guys!

Beautiful restaurant; inside and out.

By Kevin S |

Went there for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday. Great breakfast menu; awesome Eggs Benedict biscuits and gravy. Super ambience-very nice inside, small bar, but the outside eyes is really pretty. Lots of outdoor seating, some with fire pits. Would love to come back at night! Our server was okay, but didn't go out of his way to be friendly. It was noticeable by our table. No big deal, I guess. Nice place.

stay away

By jrj48 |

certainlly a pleasant setting. However we came for lunch and were kept waiting a long time even thought multiple tables were open. explained that it was "kitchen flow' when finally seated waiter explained that chef had left and kitchen help was all new and that they could not service the tables they had. management had made a decision that people are less mad waiting a long time to be seated than if they are seated and takes a long time to eat. Lots of other places to go in Dallas while they get their act together.

Brunch with my BFF

By Nora R |

Food & drinks were great. Was a little loud and our waitress kept hurrying us. Asked us 3xs to pay our tab when nobody was waiting on a table. Can I please enjoy my mimosa?!? First and last time here!

Good, but not great

By Scott Charles |

The quality has slipped over the years. Its still a cool place to eat outside, but the food has lost some of its luster. Things are either undercooked or overcooked often, lacking spice. At the cost, there are better places to go.

poorly managed, disorganized & overrated

By slappy42 |

Tiny tables crammed together, uncomfortable seats, and negligent service. We waited over 55 minutes before we finally asked a bus boy for water and a waitress. When she finally arrived, we got an insincere apology. We were offered free desert for our bad service and they brought a single tiny piece of cake to be split between the 4 of us. Thanks for that. The menu looks good but the dinners were unimpressively prepared and presented. I would avoid this place, Dallas has way to many great retaurants to waste your time and money here.

Great food, awful service

By TrailBlazer264671 |

We had a big birthday party table there tonight and our waitress acted like it was her first day on the job. Dropped glasses, forgot to tell us about happy hour and ending times, gave the wrong foods and checks to people. She sure didn't forget to add her 20% tip charge on our checks. Wouldn't recommend to anyone who appreciates decent costumer service.

Great Friday Night

Great ambience and service. Recommend the scallops. This is a repeat visit and the service is consistent. Fine dining experience. Recommend

favorite brunch spot in downtown Dallas!

By Patty F |

love this place! the atmosphere & the location. The professional staff & the food is spot on for - a great weekend brunch!. Start with a mimosa! they are generous in size @ a good price too just $6.. Our faves are the brunch quesadillas with pork shoulder- AMAZING! & then then follow with a shared Strawberry & cream cheese stuffed french toast is a perfect sweet - delicious! Also there is a museum upstairs with a Samurai collection. It looks cool but was not opened the 3 times we have been there.

Fantastic service and food

By tlfintulsa |

Celebrated my wife's 50th birthday here with 8 friends. The staff went out of their way to make her evening very special. The food was second to none and we cannot wait to return. The atmosphere at Saint Ann's is very nice. There is an indoor section and a large patio area. The outdoor area is fantastic.

Great atmosphere and wonderful patio

By Kenneth B |

St Ann's is a gem in the uptown area of Dallas. It is a renovated school retaining the historical heritage of early Dallas but with a very modern feel. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent but the real highlight is it's patio. One of the largest in Dallas with mature trees and garden. Whether it be a meal or just for drinks and conversation, St Ann's is perfect. Two other features that make St. Ann special. It is walking distance to the AAC so great for those pre and post event visits. Hidden jewel is that the Barbier-Mueller Museum is located at the sight, so combine your dining and cocktails with a visit to this extensive exhibit of Samurai art.

Saturday Brunch

By Travel-Seal |

Enjoyed eating here for brunch. I enjoyed a BLT with avocado. Family member said the quesadillas were good. Mimosas are a bargain. Bloody Marys were good. It is located in an old building with exposed bricks. Some Asian armor on display which must be part of the small museum upstairs. There is a patio area with seating and heaters/ fire pits. Great place to hang out for drinks-snacks with friends. We had a reservation through Open Table, which the restaurant couldn't find when we first got there, but we were seated right away.

Very tasty.

By katyflower |

This restaurant was very nice with outdoor seating and indoor seating. The waiter was knowledgeable and pleasant. I had a chicken fried T-bone Steak with bacon gravy!!! It was tender and DELISH! The Caesar Salad was pretty basic but the three desserts that my group shared were all great. Carrot cake, bread pudding and lemon tart.

Dallas Restaurant Week

By 860SusanB860 |

Just dined here for lunch for Dallas Restaurant Week and we had a most enjoyable meal. A $25 lunch had a choice of salmon, chicken, filet, or polenta fries plus a dessert. Service was quite attentive and all of the entrees were delicious (though not prepared "exactly" as noted on the menu). One of the desserts choices was not available and a substitution was made. Proceeds go to the North Texas Food Bank so we enjoyed our lunch and contributed to a good cause!

Great Sunday Brunch

By TennesseeLuv2travel |

The restaurant was beautiful, and they have a lovely patio area, it was too cool for our brunch, but you could tell it was delightful. Our server was delightful and attentive, but not overly so. The food was delicious, it was put down in front of the wrong people by the person who brought it, but that was not a big deal. The only issue we had was very unique to the day we visited, there was a marathon which made it nearly impossible to get to the restaurant. Once the marathon finished the ladies room became disgusting and unusable from the folks who had been running. But again the overall cleanliness was perfect, it was simply a confluence of events that lead to our only complaint.

Great atmosphere, service sub par

By Ken H |

Good not great food. Very good bar scene on the deck on those sultry Dallas eves. Convenient location to Harwood Offices and AAC. As indicated by other reviewers the service remains below average. Food was timely but the server was completely inattentive. Once the food was delivered the next time we saw her was when she delivered the check! Not a kitchen issue just a wait staff training issue.

A comedy of errors

Everything which could go wrong at this restaurant, did go wrong. Bad service, cold food, lost food, wrong food, champagne served in wine globlets, broken plates, music too loud. It got to the point where all we could do was laugh!

AMAZING patio, inside dining, ambiance, food, drinks

By Je |

I came here with friends and family for my birthday dinner. We had a large table on the patio ( made reservations and although they told me that they do not guarantee reservations for the patio they definitely made successful efforts to ensure we had a patio table. The patio has trees that hang over a portion of it, string lights, fans and fire warmers ( you know... Texas Weather!) my whole party had such a great time! The food was so great--- we literally had one of everything and shared tapas style. The chicken wrapped in bacon appetizer and the salmon tartar and the cheese board were my favorites. The scallops were good but a little over cooked to my preference. They're drunk menu is small because they c an basically make you anything you want! There is a patio bar for convenience however our waitress ( Jennifer I think!) was so great we never waited much for anything! Let me just tell you about the patio! French countryside! Every detail. It's my favorite in Dallas so far! Valet is tips only across the street and the Saint Amy building parking garage is free after 5 I believe ( maybe 6) * Great to know if you're visiting the bar Happiest hour too*

Good lunch

By TooOldtoRun |

We had lunch at the Saint Ann Restaurant downstairs after visiting the Samurai Collection. It was Sunday and we had brunch. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and it was excellent. My wife and daughter had salmon eggs benedict, which they say was good. The waiter seemed to have be having trouble with the register because at first he brought the wrong food and I had to send back the bill three time for correction. I don’t hold that against them, though. It was a good lunch.

Cool vibe, live music

By Alan B |

I was in town for a conference and friends took me here (it was my birthday) to hear some great live music, drink and eat. The bacon wrapped, chorizo stuffed dates were delicious. The dinner salad was large and fresh. The red snapper was also large and a nice choice for sitting outside on a nice night. Jonathan was our waiter and he was very friendly and attentive.

Dinner and wine

The atmosphere is interesting for downtown Dallas. The food was good, but not great. I would recommend this restaurant as a change from the Perry's, Morton's, Del Frisco scenery.

Beautiful restaurant attentive staff , excellent food. Most enjoyable evening. They even lent us umbrellas to get to our car.

Promising with some gaps

By Andrew H |

Here for a business dinner with colleagues after a big meeting.. so a bit of unwind+celebration of hard work. The good = bar tender was quick and generous with the drinks. Everyone we interacted with (greeter, bar tender, wait staff) were really nice, friendly and attentive. I can tell that the environment is wonderful with nice weather as there seemed to be plenty of nice outdoor space. Easy walk to/from the W. And, the food was good. Gap = really only one. We thought the menu was a little sparse and "typical"... meaning, the ambiance of the place screams a little more modern and higher end than the menu presents. Having said that, the table enjoyed the bacon wrapped sizzlers, mac n cheese apps, and we're just fine with the entrees (a mix of good, not great, steaks, salmon and flatbread). So, I give this place 4 stars because of the overall experience... fun, attentive, friendly, nice atmosphere, with a general, albeit good for what it is, menu.

A little disappointed

By roanie1969 |

My husband and I had dinner here and while overall the experience was not bad, I was a little disappointed. We started with the Sizzlers appetizer which was excellent. We ordered a bottle of wine, which they were out of, so we made an alternative selection. I ordered the pork tenderloin which was ok, but not great. My husband ordered the filet which he said was excellent. He was able to cut it with his fork it was so tender. The restaurant was pretty loud on a weekday night, so if you’re looking for a quiet spot, pass this up. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely come back.

Good atmosphere, good food

By Mr G |

Mid week dinner. Weather had most people inside. Stylish inside, professional staff trying hard to connect. Lively and somewhat hustling....but they will leave you alone to talk or make eyes if you want. Food choice is varied but not extensive. I had the maple glazed pork chop. Thick tender and flavorful. Came with grilled okra which were surprisingly tasty and a sort of sweet potato lasagna. I don't like sweet potatoes, but this was good. Others had salmon which was reported as good also. Wine list is not bad and the prices acceptable if you consider the price of a glass of wine. Valet parking is free, but people always give the attendant a fiver. A nice evening. I'd go back. And maybe this time have the courage to try the grilled quail.

Beautiful restaurant and delicious dinner

By MaryGT |

Seven ladies dined at St. Ann on a Saturday night. A reservation is definitely needed. The food and the service were excellent and the ambience lovely. Highly recommend and would go again!

Attractive Ambiance

By Lisa B |

We had a group of 12 for a business dinner and had selected this restaurant after visiting prior with memories of a delicious Moscow Mule. The restaurant was packed with the wall opened to the outside and patio diners. Very attractive lighting and atmosphere with fire pits outside as well. We started with cocktails and and a good cheese and meat board for an appetizer. Many in our group had the Truffle Mac N Cheese with their steak dinner, which was rich, but delicious. Good service and relaxing atmosphere. 20% Gratuity was automatically included in our bill.

You Must Eat Here if You're in Dallas!

By amazed_12 |

Wonderful atmosphere, decorated beautifully, delicious food, friendly and professional wait staff/servers, superb meal presentation

Great spot before events at AA arena

By louiscarl23 |

Atmosphere, drinks and food are all amazing here. Nice outside space, small but varied menu very cute wait staff... recommend the paloma to drink.

Must try Brunch!

By Brandy L |

First Brunch spot I've been to in Dallas and will not be the last time i'm here! The atmosphere at the restaurant was exotic and intriguing. The service from the entire staff was welcoming and pleasant. Our server Buddy was very knowledgeable and everything he recommended we ordered. Btw, he made the best Sandria ever, so much he had to double back, lol. Can't wait to refer guests here from the hotel, know they'll love it.

After Brunch Drinks

By Teresa O |

We strolled over after our brunch at Mercat Bistro. We ordered our drinks then sat on the shaded patio. This locstion is very busy. There is a clear floor in the bar area thst took me by surprise. Our drinks were made well, we enjoyed all the way to the end, then we headed upstairs. We will keep this location in mind the next time we are in the area.

Very Average Fare

By MT1075 |

Pretty indoor / outdoor space and friendly service--but the kitchen does not keep up in quality. Very average almost cafeteria or Cheesecake Factory fare. Prices are reasonable, though.

Relaxing Patio

By FitWhit816 |

Visited Saint Ann on a Sunday with a friend. We arrived around 3:15PM, which meant that we were subjected to an extremely limited snack menu. Between the hours of 3-5PM they offer a limited menu while they prep for dinner - chips and salsa, bacon wrapped dates, etc. So I never tried the food. The wine list is impressive, and I was surprised that the server was well educated in wine offerings. Lovely atmosphere. Warm servers. Comfortable patio. We will absolutely return!

Outside seating is not guaranteed - which is ok because it's too hot!

By StacysFunny |

In addition to the service, the food and the drinks being amazing, I think it's so cool how dog friendly this place is. They have little water bowls outside and I just love it! Strawberry Shortcake French toast is to die for and it actually like brought me back to my childhood it's so good and accurate it made me nostalgic. I had a Texas Dead Heat which is also very delicious like the food and refreshing but most importantly the truffle mac and cheese was an appetizer but should also be a meal!! I don't know what my friends ordered because we were too busy stuffing our faces - I'm serious the table was quiet because everyone was happy with their food.

Samurai Visit

By becca33332018 |

Loved the atmosphere and patio seating. Ok with disorganized friendly staff. Smoked salmon appetizer good. Drinks are very alcohol forward. My first vodka basil drink was delicious. Second was not the same and sour. Pork chop dry and under seasoned. Three scallops so so. Will probably try other places next time.

Brunch with my BFF

By Nora R |

Food & drinks were great. Was a little loud and our waitress kept hurrying us. Asked is 3xs to pay our tab when nobody was waiting on a table. Can I please enjoy my mimosa?!? First and last time here!

Cool place to grab a drink

By Mallory H |

Came to Saint Ann for a drink after the Mavericks game. A little nicer than we expected, but that's not a bad thing at all! Enjoyed the lively bar area with a DJ. Nice beer menu and tasty ceviche appetizer. Will continue parking in this area for games so we can enjoy another post-game pit stop.

Good steak dinner

By William F |

Went here on an evening for a group business dinner. The food was good. The service was solid. Had a decent steak. They did have good drinks that we had at the bar before. Was a bit unsettling walking on the glass floor, always felt like you would fall through, but overall this was a good experience.

Good Food, Lovely atmosphere

By chippie1977 |

Stopped for a bite to eat on the way to the hockey game. Food was good, truffle fries were especially good. Outdoor seating was nice, we were worried about it being too loud, but the speakers were placed well so that the music was not as loud when you were seated.

Perfect pre-symphony stop headed south into downtown

By Colin C |

I've had dinner at Saint Ann's twice, most recently on a Saturday night before the symphony. With the concerts now starting at 7:30 PM (instead of 8 as it has been for years, I'd like to find who made this bad decision by the way and give them a piece of my mind), we need someplace downtown convenient to coming south on the tollway for a pre-dinner spot. Last weekend we arrived without reservation at 6 PM (I made a mistake and booked for the next night) and they fit us right in. The location is perfect for us, as the restaurant is on the way to the Meyerson Symphony hall if you are coming from the north of downtown on the tollway. There is a valet spot right next door. The dinning room is open and not noisy like so many in Dallas. The service was very attentive. My coconut soup was very good with an excellent spicy bite to it. My wife had the beet salad and enjoyed that as well. We both had the salmon (requested rare). It was a good if simple dish. I've found the food during both my visits to be consistently good. It has yet to blow me away, but I've not yet been disappointed either. The wine list is solid and the price is right where I would expect it. We'll be back.

Great Food...Great Atmosphere!!

By Victoria W |

This is one of our families favorite places for special events, both large and small!! We gave celebrated birthdays, Christmas gatherings and it's a great place to park, then eat and attend an event at the nearby American Airlines Center!

Rehearsal Dinner Magic

By Lauren G |

We held a rehearsal dinner at Saint Ann's for our son's wedding. Travis, Don and the entire staff bent over backwards to make our entire event a success. They were professional, efficient, super friendly and anticipated every need we had (before we even knew what we needed!) The food was fantastic, the ambience was magical and the service was top-notch. We will be back!

Birthday Dinner

By Girlylexx87 |

Celebrated my best friends birthday there over dinner this past weekend. Food was delicious, but the alcoholic beverages - not so much. For the price, you would expect to at least taste the alcohol a bit. My friend did receive a nice welcome birthday note on our table, and a sparkling cake - which she enjoyed! Nice scenery, and conveniently has a valet parking service right across the street (which allowed us to leave our car while we bar hopped around the area). Been here for brunch on a numerous of other occasions and love their brunch as well.

Very dissapointed.

By KRDesigns |

We got stuck in Dallas accident traffic despite leaving in plenty of time for our 6.30 reservation. I called the hostess at 6.15 and said we might be 10 minutes late. We got there 8 minutes late. 5 of which were due to valet Park not being outside the restaurant and walking around the building trying to find the front door in the dark. Hostess was rude on arrival. She said we could sit in the patio area (40 degrees and dropping outside) or wait 30 minutes for our booked indoor table. We waited. My glass of wine was from an old bottle and not drinkable. Linda, the manager, replaced it from a new bottle. Sizzler appetizer was tasteless despite it being bacon, weird. Devilled eggs ditto. Chicken fried steak was cold and smothered in something akin to glue. The Shrimp and crispy grit cake was virtually inedible. Over salted beyond belief. Beware it is drowned in a thick, heavy tomato Cajun type sauce, not a chilli butter as the menu describes. There is nothing crispy about the grits at all. I tried to eat some of it but couldn't. My tongue is still burning. Linda overheard me telling my husband and took it off our bill. We paid and left, and we wouldn't return, nor could we recommend at this point. The 2 stars are for Lindas' attention and the ambiance.

Great experience with great food and service!

By cocobeans88 |

There is an amazing Samurai collection upstairs of the restaurant. Make sure to have enough time to stop by. It is free and the collection is very impressive! There is a free parking in the middle of downtown Dallas. The food was very delicious and staff are very friendly! It's worth visiting when you are in the area.

Nice atmosphere and great food

By hookedontrvl |

I had dinner here with a group of friends recently. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and quite experienced with being available but not intrusive. In our party of 9 absolutely everyone enjoyed their meals and desserts. The only one problem was that the person taking reservations over the phone wasn't very friendly or customer service oriented. I would hope they were just having a bad day and that it's not the usual behavior. The service, food and atmosphere were so enjoyable I would gladly go back again and hope that making a reservation would be a more pleasant experience in the future.

Great Atmosphere Shameful Food

By DNAW |

Upon arrival, we checked in with the host and told them we would be at the bar. Thirty minutes past our 9:00 reservation time, we checked back again. The two girls who had been talking and laughing together the entire time, both looked at us like we were rude to be interrupting them, but did seat us. Obviously, they had forgotten us. We placed our order and this is when things really began to go down hill. We ordered steak and pork chop. Both were over cooked. I sent the pork chop back. When our waiter brought a new one, it was raw in the middle. I asked that she just replace it with a grilled chicken salad. The chicken was powder dry. I gave up. It’s a shame as it has a great atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and made awesome drinks, but we would never go back for the food.

Great outdoor reaturant

By Pinck11 |

Sat outside with a group of friends. Enjoyed great company with a great cocktail. I chose the skinny vida and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd try to get a table outdoors, but the doors open inside so i guess if it's a beautiful night you're never really indoors!

Birthday Celebration

By katyflower |

We had an outdoor birthday party here and it was nice. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. The bar and food were all very good, too. There were 40 in our party and everything was cooked and handled professionally and timely. Had we thought of the heat in Texas in September we would have requested indoor space. It was sweltering! But the restaurant came through with shining colors. Thank you, St Ann's! Ha and Elvis even showed up to sing. 😎

Definitely Drop In

By MLB727 |

Loved the scallops with truffle mac'n cheese. Shirt rob sandwich is very filling. No problem receiving extra toast for soaking up the mussel sauce. Sit at one of the two tables by the pristine open kitchen and watch your food as it's prepared.

Great Brunch

By kaylamsam |

Great brunch!! We had a bachelorette brunch at Saint Ann's to kick off a long day and it was perfect! The drinks were great and everyone enjoyed their food. I had the chicken & waffles and they were absolutely delicious. Would recommend to anyone near downtown / uptown area to try!

Fun Brunch Spot

By Tierney J |

The brunch atmosphere was amazing - live music that wasn't too distracting from the company or food, affordable menu, and great overall ambiance and aesthetic. I would bring my family or friends here for a Sunday morning event without question.

Friday night Restaurant Week

By Dani |

The salads were divine but the show stealer is the chicken fried ribeye steaks with cheese grits or mashed potatoes. Go there soon! Attentive service too!

Great food and live music

By LDW1023 |

We sat on the patio and the live music while a bit loud was wonderful. At times it made it somewhat difficult to hear but it was worth the experience. I recommend the pork chop for dinner, Wonderful flavor and the okra accompaniment was very nice. Wine is reasonable. This would be an easy restaurant to repeat. Great meal. Good atmosphere. Service was excellent

Dont miss the nearby Museum of Samurai Armor

By Wheels5791 |

Hidden upstairs is a gem of a museum featuring the Armor of Samurai soldiers that will blow your mind. It is quick and wonderful with great access to guides if you are interested.

Beautiful courtyard, modern interior, excellent drinks, fresh menu

By Paul M |

Had dinner and drinks here, first time. On a hot Dallas day, the courtyard was open, well spaced, and not overbearingly hot. I enjoyed one of the specialty cocktails, a spiked basil lemonade, and it was well balanced and perfect for summer. Our server was very pleasant, but I got the sense that he and his peers needed just a bit more experience to be smoother in their execution and approach. The menu is diverse but not particularly daring, with about 10-12 main course selections and about 10 appetizers. The salmon was the conventional preparation, and my friend enjoyed it but had nothing overly complimentary to say. I had scallops on top of grits. The scallops were a little undercooked. The grits were tasty, but again, basic: cheese, grits, nothing particularly interesting. My ceviche appetizer followed this pattern: tasty enough, fresh, but with only the most subtle of flavors and textures, it, too, was just OK. If prices were more in line with a "fresh, basic" menu, I'd be more enthusiastic. Pricing at this downtown location are, well, downtown. Mains are in the $20's to $30's and appetizers are in the teens. So, the pricing is not excrutiatingly high, but high enough where one should expect more interesting presentations and flavors. The interior is very interesting. A modern bar is visible as you walk into the restaurant and cross a clear glass floor that can trick you into thinking you are about to fall into the basement. The hostess was nice enough, but definitely had an air of "I wish I was anyplace else but here." As I left, I thought this would work very well as a place to meet for drinks, but less so as a dining destination. If you choose to dine here, you'll probably leave thinking, "well, that was nice enough," but not much more than that.

Wonderful place for a drink; great porch

By Allen727286 |

Have been here for lunch a 1/2 dozen times and drinks an equal amount. I enjoy the drinks atmosphere and the food is fine though nothing special. If weather permits, the porch is a very nice environment to talk, drink and eat.

Excellent!

By Grace C |

Went to brunch here on a beautiful Sunday and had the best time because of the great atmosphere, delicious food, and wonderful live music. Great service as well. Would 100% recommend.

Delicious with Great Atmosphere and Location

By WellFedandTravels |

We ate at Saint Ann's before a concert and it was wonderful. I made reservations in advance and requested the patio. We were able to get the patio and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was pleasant and everyone was very kind. We had the tuna tartar, chicken fried ribeye, and scallops. All of these were absolutely delicious. We also had the lemon tart, it was good but I probably wouldn't order it again. The location was also perfect for the American Airlines Center, we were able to walk there in less than 5 minutes. Overall a great experience, and we would definitely go back.

Get the mac and cheese and the burrata both are musts!!

By 859beccas |

The concierge at our restaurant suggested this place because we said we wanted something different and unique. I am so glad she did, this place was adorable. We wish we knew there was outside seating because we would've asked to sit outside but by the time we had our reservation for it was already full outside with a wait, because there was live music. The wait staff was great and on top of drinks, my husband no sooner finished his beer and a new one was literally right there. I ordered the chicken and it was amazing with tri colored cauliflower and my hubby offered the mahi mahi. One word of advice however is the portions aren't small but they aren't big. My husband enjoys a larger meal so when he saw his mahi mahi even with the sides at the appetizer we got I knew it wouldn't be enough for him, that's when we ordered a side of the mac and cheese and he loved that and with that it was enough. Each item we got was so yummi, service was great, scenery really nice and ambiance awesome as well. We really liked this place and would go back again.

B-Day Brunch..

By MIRIAM N |

We planned a birthday brunch at this restaurant for a Saturday and it did not disappoint. The ambiance made it even more memorable. I just want to move in to this restaurant and have daily brunches there. The area is beautiful, the patio area is to die for and the brunch menu selection is all that and a bag of chips. Please start with the mimosas and some salmon eggs egg's Benedict and your day will go well. We ordered a bunch of stuff and everything tasted great, no complains all round the table of 8. The pancakes are close to Crepe's, skinny and flavorful, i'll still get them next time. The servers have the best customer service you could ask for. No wonder this place has great ratings. We will surely be going back there frequently.

Swing and a miss.

By Randy Thompson |

I'd heard good things bout this place, but man, was I disappointed. My wife and I stopped in for dinner before a Dallas Stars Hockey game. The food at the AAC is just so-so and figured a nice meal before hand would do us some good. We were seated outside (which was fine, it was a nice night) but it took almost 15 minutes for a server to stop by: the bus people we asked to flag down a server only spoke Spanish and we don't, and when we did finally get a menu there was nothing on it we wanted to eat. So we left cash for our glasses of wine (could not get our waitress to come back and bring us a bill) and left. Won't be back. Too many other great options in uptown. Even a semi-warm hot dog at the AAC was served with a smile.

I had dinner with friends on Wednesday and went back for brunch with other friends

By jump4traveling |

Great atmosphere and very cool vibe! We all enjoyed our meals and the brunch is amazing! Can't wait to return with my family!

Amazing!

By imslow |

I was taken to this restaurant as a celebratory gift, and it blew my mind. I worked in downtown Dallas for years but had never heard of Saint Ann. The food is exquisite, and surprisingly, one of the best items on the menu is mac 'n' cheese - not your ordinary kids-love-it mac 'n' cheese - no, this is out of this world mac 'n' cheese made with white cheese and real cream and butter and no telling what else - definitely not for dieters - but worth splurging. I also had asparagus - the most tender ever - and grilled salmon - scrumptious! We were there for lunch. I'm sure dinner is fabulous, too, but out of my price range, if I'm the one picking up the bill. The atmosphere is open and airy, a combination of old historic building with a modern feel. If the weather is nice, sit outside. It's an oasis in the heart of all those highrises and the downtown (or uptown, if you want to get technical) Dallas hubbub. Great for special occasions! Getting there is tricky, with the construction and one-ways, but there is free parking in a lot across the street. Enjoy!

Uptown Dallas Fave!

By BostonPam |

Had the pleasure of visiting Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar in uptown Dallas this month and cannot wait to return! Fab space, ambience and outstanding food! Killer live music and outdoor seating were added bonuses. Don't miss the ceviche, crab cake, lamb chops or beet salad. All were divine! Bon Appetit!

Finally got here...and glad

By CliveWatkins |

I’ve heard about it here for a long time but never seemed to get here. It is what everyone says, at least atmosphere and "hang" wise. Very easy to be here, mellow hang in a patio you won’t want to leave. The wine list is very nice, not cheap but not oppressive. We had a bunch of appetizers, cheese plates etc....they were nice but not great. But the food presentations around us, looked very nice. I’ll eat there, it’s a small menu, but you’ll find a basic to eat. Food aside, I liked it here..I was lost in the city in this great space.

White Wine Lunches are Devine!

By Kevin W |

Was hosted here by a ad agency friend of mine. My greek salad was fantastic! We had a sauvignon blanc off the menu which was crisp. The decor is cool and I love the floor timbers exposed in the hostess area. Will definitely return!

Second visit a disappointment

By RogerTtheTurtle |

It's been a while since our first brunch at Saint Ann's, but we selected it because our first visit was a pleasant experience and we wanted to show our visitors from Houston a nice, casual restaurant downtown. I had reserved an inside table, but the hostess escorted us to one outside and in the sun while we waited for our inside table to become available. We declined the sunny table for one in the shade. The hostess had given us menus to study, so when a waiter came to take our orders, we decided to stay and eat there. Diners were entertained by a duo who sang and played guitars VERY LOUDLY. When the duo finished their set, they were replaced by recorded music, also played VERY LOUDLY, until someone who appeared to have some influence had the volume reduced. The food and service were okay; nothing exceptional. However, my house Bloody Mary was excellent.

Festive Brunch!

By Lori W |

Made reservations and had an incredible meal. There was live music and the restaurant was decorated perfect of Christmas! Beautiful spot. Great food. Reasonable prices. I can see this is a great spot for brunch, lunch or dinner. They have designed it to convert to a patio dining area if the weather permits. Brilliant!

great ambiance

By Christina S |

loved the tartar salmon app as well as the scallops. The overall setting and ambiance was great. Loved the outdoor seating and bar area as well.

Great place to have drinks after work

By Amanda C |

Nice patio to sit on and enjoy drinks with friends or co-workers. Location is convenient, but parking is not. Have to use valet across the street and it's a small lot.

Good food, but watch the per glass wine charges

By David76054 |

Visited Saint Ann Restaurant. Good decor, food and even the service. Maybe a bit pricey, but still good. But DO NOT ALLOW your waiter to suggest a wine by the glass without getting the price. I almost fell out of my chair when the bill came and I was charged $18 for a glass of chardonnay. It was good, but I can buy a bottle of better wine for less. I learned my lesson here.

Great Food And Atmosphere Combination!!

This place is unique...charming...fun...indoors or out...great food...wonderful photo ops....we have spent many birthday celebrations here!!

Pretty Restaurant, Food Good, Service so-so

By KellyMYYZ |

Had brunch at Saint Ann last Saturday, we made a reservation and were sat outside, I wish we would've had a choice as I found it a little chilly outside or provided with a blanket. Food was good, I had the Eggs Benedict and asked if I could have French Fries instead of breakfast potatoes, the server made a comment like "oh the Chefs favourite" and I felt like that was a little rude. People made modifications in restaurants all the time and its annoying but that's sort of just the nature of the game We had a pitcher of Sangria that was really tasty and we all shared the french toast and it was really tasty.

Cold overcooked burgers at a clientuncj

By Amanda F |

I took my customers here for lunch. We arrived at 11:40. We ordered burgers & sandwiches. Our food came at 12:50. The burgers were overcooked and the fries were cold. My clients were late for their 1pm meeting. Unacceptable.

Great place for a large group

By Scott P |

Enjoyed a company party on Thursday night. Lots of staff passing out h'orduevres and drinks. The meal was roasted chicken, steak, potatoes and dessert. Indoor and outdoor seating. Enjoyed this place.

off day?

By Leigh B |

I'm hoping we caught Saint Ann's on an off day. It really is a beautiful place. Sadly, the service was extremely lacking -- every single thing arrived very, very slowly and the server didn't know how to answer questions about the menu (it was our first visit), nor did he seem to care. (We were thinking he might have been really hungover and were able to joke about it a bit -- we've all been there!) Nonetheless, the atmosphere and prices were not congruent with the substandard level of service. When our server "forgot" our second round of drinks and never brought them, we saw that as a good excuse to wrap up our meal and go elsewhere for the last round. Disappointing.

Good -but not special

By Sebluemoon |

I am clearly too old for this place. I knew the bar would be young and fun and "hopping." Great people watching, but I did expect the food to be a bit exceptional to make up for the "hype" about this place. I had the crab cake ( OK ) and my friend had a nice filet. But nothing was special -not food, not service - for the dollars I expected a bit more. And eating out in Dallas .....I have grown to expect more. Maybe we ordered wrong. I would go back to sit at the beautiful bar before the symphony - or maybe try lunch -but I think Dallas has better restaurants. I'll stick with the other creative places that I've come to love.

Great outside patio.

By scott6566 |

In Dallas for a business meeting so we figured we would find a good spot for a quick lunch and a few beers as. Had many didddfde e.we had the whole day before the meetings. The food was excellent. We both had their version of a French dip. Their beer selection was very good we both Had a few different local micro brews. I highly recommend this place if u are in the area.

Great dining spot before a game at the AAC

By Brynna P |

My husband and I stopped by for dinner before going to a game at the American Airlines Center, which is just a short walk away. We had reservations for 6pm on a Saturday, and were seated immediately. I did see a wait forming by the time we left, so I would definitely recommend getting a reservation. We started with the crab dip appetizer, which we loved. Service was great, and drinks were good!

Overpriced and mediocre food

By gratefuldarcy |

The beet salad was good but the pork chop was not. Good bread. Good service. My friends fried ribeye was good but not worth $35. Very noisy

Super

By Neurocaredoc |

Great evening on the patio with family. Food and service and atmosphere were perfect. Maybe the best patio in Dallas

Beautiful restaurant in a garden!

By Logan T |

LOVE their patio garden area, perfect for a weekend brunch. Exceptional food and great drinks, the staff was not as welcoming though for our group.

classy and beautiful

By autumnlhunt |

such a pretty atmosphere. valet parking right next to hardwood district.. went for valentines day brunch and it was great. would most likely not recommend the crab benedict, for the price it was not very good, poached eggs tasted very weird. service was rather slow for it not being very busy for valentines morning, but overall it was very good and would go back to try something else on the menu.

Cool ambiance solid food

By trevormom |

This is a very good restaurant in a town with some amazing restaurants. Food was good but service not quite on top. That said I really enjoyed my dinner here and will definely be back. Ambiance is nice with high open ceilings and light colored wood finishes. They can accommodate very large long tables for groups in the main dining room.i has a steak that was a good portion and great quality of meat

Very good food and excellent service but way to noisy to enjoy the meal

By FL2045 |

If you are going to eat at this restaurant, I suggest you make sure that you can sit outdoors. Inside, the restaurant is so noisy it was almost impossible to converse without yelling.

I went to Saint Ann's for brunch when I came to visit friends Saturday. The ambience is amazing whether you're inside or on the patio. They also had live music and he did an awesome version of Adele Hello. Carafes of mimosa are a tad pricy for the bottle they use but worth the cost for the place. Side not: the oversized chess near by is also a great place for a photo op.

Push the Wine

By Allen P |

Nice decor here, even though the restaurant is not clearly marked from the street. The menu is good and the food was quickly delivered. The waiter was a bit pushy with the wine - probably one of the pushier guys I have encountered. TIP: Parking is just across the street.

Back again

By Ryan S |

Lunch with a friend who had never eaten there. Word of warning: don't pick your entree until you've been told what the daily specials. I always get one of the specials. Bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers for appetizer - next time I'm not sharing. We both had a different lunch special. Their soup & sandwich combos are always excellent. Big lunch business crowd. Indoor, outdoor, & bar dinning areas. I need to return specifically for dinner sometime soon. The restaurant is difficult to find & their parking lot even harder. Currently, lots & lots of construction around the restaurant. It's directly across the street from the new Rolex building. Definitely a place to check out.

Wishing it had been better

By Rescue |

Arrival is confusing because staff advise you go up the stairs and then walk around the building to get to the entrance. While the lady who took our reservation was great (suggested valeting and walking to the arena since it was free), the information that we were in a hurry was not passed to the server; resulting in us being late for an event. We actually had to flag her down to take our order. Drinks, flavorful, but not worth the cost since they pack the glass with ice, so much so, it hits you in the face when trying to drink it. Food quality was good. Would have liked the option of being seated outside to enjoy the weather.

Great food quick service

The food was good and the service was good. The portion sizes were on the small side, but I have no complaints.

Great place to brunch with friends

By Kelly K |

Perfect spot for a weekend brunch with friends. Be sure to reserve a table as seating fills up quickly. Carafes are a good price (and delicious!) and you can’t beat the breakfast quesadilla. Not a good place to go for an intimate meal (during brunch at least) because it can get very noisy. Love this place!!!

Lovely spot for patio dining

By H2sMom |

Patio dining, which we love to do in Dallas, is taken to new heights at Saint Ann's. Huge patio in downtown, tons of seating, large trees and table umbrellas provide shade while you enjoy a leisurely Sunday brunch. Salmon benedict is delicious! We also split a mimosa carafe - poinsetta, actually, which is cranberry juice instead of OJ. It's a delightful way to spend the afternoon. You can self park or valet. Would definitely go back and that's saying something for me.

Good times. Perfect entertaining atmosphere.

I work with traveling show of Dentists. We do continuing education and travel around the country. As program coordinator it's my job to entertain these people and since my backyard isn't available this is an amazing option. We sat outside perfect evening. Delicious scallops. And a mean cocktail. Thanks.

Ran out of cocktail drinks. What???

By Calijenni |

We went here the same night Justin Timberlake was in town. Maybe that was part of the problem. When we sat down, the waitress said there were no cocktail drinks available. What?? I guess all of the concert-goers ran them dry, and whoever was in charge of the bar inventory didn't anticipate the demand appropriately. We ordered the sizzlers as an appetizer, which is bacon-wrapped chicken, and both of us found big chunks of bacon fat when taking a bite. Yuck. I ordered the salmon, which was super good and was hot temperature-wise. The bed of mushrooms and squash, however, were cold. When I requested a fresh order, I did get new mushrooms and squash that were hot and brought out quickly. My husband got a salad and a pizza. The salad had live, fresh lettuce (super good), but unfortunately there was barely any dressing. Also, there were tomatoes and red onions and that's it. Pretty boring salad if you ask us. The BBQ pizza he ordered didn't come out with BBQ! So that was another thing we had to ask for. There was fresh mozzarella on the pizza, but all in all, the pizza was lackluster. The ambiance is great. We sat outside on their beautifully landscaped patio. When we went inside to check in, I noticed the bar looked pretty cool, with a decent view of Downtown Dallas. The parking is limited so be prepared to valet park.

Busy brunch

By Maytorena |

Saturday brunch is a full house at Saint Ann. Our waiter was busy but we were promptly taken care of another server who was great. We decided to share a couple of items. First we had the smoked salmon. This dish was served with crostini, capers, onion and creme fraiche. The crossing was so so and the creme fraiche was almost non existent. Then we had the chicken and waffles stack. This was really good. We would order this again anytime. We had Bloody Mary's which were well made. Service was good.

Awesome patio seating

By DrKat S |

Matt, our server was great and we love Shelia and Rosa, there as well. I went for a birthday dinner. A great time to experience the patio seating before it gets too hot but great atmosphere and even the bus boys and food runners were very professional and pleasant. Great casual date night spot. Go See for yourself.

Flavorful Dishes and Nice Ambiance!

By soror0198 |

My husband and I had a 6pm reservation an arrived about 5 minutes early and were seated upon arrival. The indoor/outdoor set-up is very nice along with the fire scapes throughout the courtyard. I had the special of the night - shrimp & grits and my husband had a wild game cassoulet with lamb sausage and white beans. Both dishes came out piping hot and both were very delicious - I literally left nothing on my plate! I'd definitely recommend a visit to Saint Ann, if you're looking to try something new. Bonus: there is a Samuari museum above the restaurant.

Birthday Dinner

By Erica D |

Great place to go for dinner or special occasions. Staff was amazing. We had a big party and had added more to the party last minute and they accommodated us. Our waiter was amazing..... only wish I paid attention to his name. It is slightly pricey and the menu is small so would not recommend for picky eaters.

Amazing great brunch restaurant

By Jonathan A |

you will enjoy the amazing brunch and beutifful garden that you see in the museum , its a small filling 6 option brunch with good coffee and mimosa, we enjoyed it very much

Good dinner before Stars game!

By Shuttrrbug |

Close friends entertained us at Saint Ann for a birthday celebration before a Stars game. Menu has a variety of items, so everyone could dine with options. Most of us had the grilled salmon on couscous with spinach. Fabulous. Highly recommend the mac n cheese, it is to die for, warning lots of calories! We had a side order of sweet potato fries which were good. Tried the cheese and meat plate as an appetizer, that was ok, nothing special. The surprise birthday spice cake with almost a bottle rocket was grand to finish off the meal. For us, this would be a place to go for a special celebration, not everyday dining. Enjoy!

My Dallas Favorite, Day or Night

By Colby H |

This is my go to for sure with a great location downtown/uptown! I love the patio gardens, and the larger booths indoors as well. The food is wonderful from brunch to dinner and the drinks and service are all a treat as well.

Adequate

By Yippie-Yi-O |

My dinner was not super but it was adequate. I felt it was a bit overpriced, for what I got. I believe this was marketed as some sort of Texas or home-style, nouveau chic cuisine, but as a native Texan, I do not feel that this food resonated with me on that level. please note that I grew up with native Texas cuisine and homestyle cuisine which included fried Dove and Quail throughout season as well as traditional down home food like scratch biscuits, catfish, BBQ, southern unsweetened cornbread, chili, and such; thus, I feel I can weigh in on this topic. The grounds are beautiful, as are the fire pits and lights glistening in the trees. This place has a wonderful romantic appeal and is a great place to take a date.

Delicious Lunch Spot!

By Ashley M |

I was here in April 2018 for lunch and really enjoyed the setting and the food! They were working on the patio, so we couldn't enjoy that, which is a shame, because it was a beautiful day. They were really busy for lunch, but the service was great. I really enjoyed the charcuterie board we ordered to start and then followed with the roasted chicken breast, which was perfectly cooked - not too dry. Would definitely love to come back when I can enjoy the patio!

Birthday Memories

By williambU8926FH |

This is a must try. The patio is fabulous, the food is well prepared and the servers are excellent! We had steak chicken fried with mashed and on a lighter side a yummy salmon with bok Choy. Don’t forget to order a side of truffle Mac and cheese.

Great alternative to AA's Center food choices

By Jim M |

We have started going to St. Ann's before the MAVs games, the food is very good. The Charcuterie and Cheese Board and muscles are outstanding. We have also had the Short Rib Sandwich and flatbreads, more delectable rates treats to WOW your palette. The location is good because we can walk to and from the AA center in a few minutes and we have never missed a tip off. If you haven't tried this restaurant even without being a MAVs fan, you need to. One of the nicest outdoor sitting areas in the city, it's park like atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable.

Nice place!

By Velena M |

First time trying this restaurant. It was very nice. The food was good and the dessert was even better. Service was nice and everyone was so friendly. It was cold when I visited this restaurant but I want to come back when it's warmer so I can sit out on the patio. The outside seating looked very inviting even in the cold.

Great restaurant and atmosphere on the patio.

By John_A |

Went here for a Sunday Brunch and found it to be a great restaurant and atmosphere on the patio. A solo artist was playing on the patio which made for a very good brunch. The food was very good and the staff were very attentive.

Nice Sunday Brunch

Great atmosphere in a great location. Valet parking is complimentary. Food tasted very good, however, two out of four of our Eggs Benedict were not very hot.

A more beautiful you

By JoseAntonioFlores |

I was invited to Sunday Funday brunch and since I had never been to this place, I went without any expectations other than having some mimosas with my friends.... Little did I knew what awaited me... An amazing restaurant that brings out the best in you as you walk in. The lighting inside and at the outdoor patio, the couches while you wait to be assigned a table, the hip singer. The whole atmosphere invites you to feel comfortable in your own skin to feel good about yourself... Then brunch....Benedict eggs to perfection accompanied by a carafe of grapefruit mimosas... Will definitely go back next time I visit Dallas!

Valentine's Dinner Fail

By MariaMcLendon |

The service was inattentive, they were just looking to turn tables for Valentine's Day as quickly as possible. The prix fixe Valentine's menu sounded appealing, but the food was not good at all. It was not good at all. Let me repeat, it was not good at all. The lobster bisque was thin and bland, it was as if it was watered down to stretch quantity. The beef carpaccio was okay, but covered in thick mayonnaise--again, perhaps to add volume? It was gross. My entree, a filet topped with lobster was okay, but scant on the plate. All of this not good food was served by a waitress who didn't know anything about the menu and didn't care--all for an inflated "Special Occasion" price. This was a total disappointment.

Sunset view, great outside, delicious cocktails

By Leah W |

This place is a must visit on your next trip to downtown Dallas! Sit outside and enjoy their cooling fans and beautiful lit up trees. They also had a giant chess board, fire pits, and grass seating area. We ended up just getting 2 apps the dip trio and heirloom tomato salad. Both great choices the mozzarella was very creamy seemed like it was made in house. We enjoyed two summer cocktails. The basil lemonade- a little sweet but the basil flavor really set the drink off! And the teachers pet- if you like ginger this is the drink for you. Great place to sit and watch a sunset. Bonus: The Samuri collection museum upstairs. Free. Great collection lots to look at. Open until 5.

Perfect patio dining ❤️

By Lynn_Lyon |

If you are not sure about the weather reserve a table indoors on the patio side. The glass doors will be open to the patio and you'll get the best of both worlds on a nice day. The heirloom tomato salad may be the best salad I have ever had. They use basil oil and balsamic vinegar instead of pesto. The cheese board and charcuterie has generous portions and is delicious. My BF asked to have his filet chicken fried and they did it for a small fee. An unusual request but they have a chicken fried ribeye on the menu. He enjoyed it and I had the sage chicken breast. Great service from Andrew! Perfect! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you!

Cool place for dinner

By MVDaddio |

While visiting Dallas with my family, we came across this restaurant near our hotel. This place is charming and near art museums. Has nice light and fire features, making it a nice setting. Wile the waiter we had was a bit goofy and distracted, the food was good. We came in at around 7 and service was timely. I would definitely return.
