Good food and ambience, THE WORST RESTAURANT MANAGER: Amanda (rude, unprofessional & disrespectful)

By Luziojorge |

Absurd policy of not being able to split the bill in more than 5 people (can only have 2 card split in 2 equal parts) poorly explained by the most rude manager in Atlanta. We explained we needed to split the bill as we had friends coming from other countries that had no way to transfer us the money, asked to talk with the manager. Amanda arrived with an aggressive attitude rude tone and zero emotional intelligence, not only you cannot split bill in credit cards for more than 5 party but also you cannot decide what amount you want to pay if you split in half. We tried to explain that is the first time we have seen this ridiculous practice in atlanta and we had international friends, she hardly explained saying NO to every argument and left us talking by ourselves… she was incredibly rude.

Great for a date!

Relaxing "date night" dinner on covered outdoor patio. From start to finish, each course was delicious and well presented. Service was excellent; attentive, personal, and authentic. Highlights were - smoked gouda arancini, short ribs, and peanut butter pie!

Saints and Council: A New Atlanta Favorite for Exceptional Dining

By jadams5454 |

Saints and Council is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots in Atlanta! Phenomenal from start to finish. I went with a group of five friends, and every part of the meal was outstanding. We started with a variety of drinks, and each one was absolutely delicious. The appetizers were incredible—everything from the olives to the roasted cauliflower and ricotta was exceptional. For dinner, the experience only got better. The miso-glazed salmon was so good, you’d want to drink the glaze. The scallops were cooked to absolute perfection, and the flank steak was not only mouthwateringly delicious but beautifully presented as well. And then came dessert—wow! The bread pudding was easily one of the best we’ve ever had, and the peanut butter pie? Pure yum! Our waiter was attentive, made excellent recommendations, and truly added to the wonderful experience. This is a top-tier restaurant, and we can’t wait to come back again. It’s quickly becoming a must-visit spot in the city

Loud, good food, very slow service, cheater tap beer portions

By Jan_from_Atlanta |

To start, it took us 20 minutes to get our drinks. A beer drinker, my glass was on the small side. No wonder as they serve 12 ounce cheater pints for $8.00 😱. Beer portion size isn’t noted on the menu. My burger was good as were the fries. The others got the salmon entree and enjoyed. Strawberry shortcake served in a black iron skillet is a bit odd but was good. Service was slow but polite. New world reality I guess. Quite loud inside but there is outdoor dining space. A bit pricey.

Food was really good!

Colony Square has a bunch of restaurants and this one was quite good. After being rejected by the Italian restaurant (come on, there were plenty of available tables and they offered the bar or 'go to another restaurant,' we settled on Saints. Glad we did. (Even though we were seating near the bathrooms, but whatever...) We started with the Burrata - made with spaghetti-like asparagus. Interesting. I had the Gnocchi and Shrimp. Loved the sauce, though the gnocchi was a bit heavy. Daughter had the Steak Frites which was excellent. We ended the meal with the Strawberry Shortcake which was great -- in a skillet, quite enough for 2. Had an unalcoholic drink that was so so, but... The folks next to us just had dessert - smores which looked great. Service was very good, the music was a bit loud and too trendy, however. We were there fairly early, but we imagine it gets hopping later in the evening. Definitely worth a try and would go back!

Great place

Cool place, great Rum selection which is rare in Atlanta. Great young lady on the bar, Tia from Nashville. Credit to the place.

Saints and Council: Atlanta’s New Must-Visit Gem!

By jadams5454 |

Saints and Council is hands down becoming one of our absolute go-to spots in Atlanta! From start to finish, everything was a total hit. I went with five friends, and let me tell you, every part of the night was on point. We kicked things off with drinks, and each one was spot-on—super tasty and well-crafted. The apps? Next-level. The olives, roasted cauliflower, and ricotta were all incredible—seriously, not a single thing missed. But the main course? Even better. The miso-glazed salmon was out-of-this-world good—you could literally drink that glaze. The scallops were perfect, cooked just right, and the flank steak was not only delicious but also looked amazing on the plate. And then, dessert came and blew us away. The bread pudding? Probably the best we’ve ever had, and the peanut butter pie was straight-up delicious. Our waiter was awesome—attentive, gave great suggestions, and just made the whole experience even better. This place is top-tier, no doubt about it. We’re already planning our next visit. If you're in Atlanta, Saints and Council is a must.

Excellent Experience

Four of us went for dinner at Saints + Council. We were greeted immediately by the host and quickly seated. Our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We had wine with dinner. Both were excellent and met everyone’s expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Saints and Council: Great Spot for Good Friends to Get Together Over Craft Dishes and Conversation

By ServingLooksATL |

Saints and Council is a great spot for good friends to get together over craft dishes, cocktails, and conversation to spend as much time as they want in a relaxed environment. The toasty fire as you walk in provided the perfect amount of warmth. I loved the art. My Fiance' loved being able to spike his Salted Caramel Cappuccino with his favorite bourbon The atmosphere is the perfect blend of work and play and is located in the heart of Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta. Inside Saints and Council you will find modern-day decor, impressive vaulted ceilings, a warm fireplace, and dinner tables that remind you of home. Outside there is an airy patio featuring a fireplace and greenery. I recommend Saints and Council for an elevated date night, weekend with friends or after-work socializing. What I tried at @saintscouncil : Berry Dutch Cobbler Harvest Apple Pancakes Shrimp + Grits Short Rib + Eggs Greek Yogurt Parfait Cheddar Grits Mimosa St Cecilia Mimosa Salted Caramel Cappuccino Hack: order a bottle of Faire La Fête Brut with a carafe of orange juice on the side to build your own mimosa!

Phenomenal food, staff and atmosphere

Phenomenal. Went with a group of 5 friends. We all had different drinks which weee delicious. The appetizers were fantastic, from the olives to the cauliflower to ricotta all were exceptional. Then on to dinner-salmon, with a miso glaze you wanted to just drink, scallops cooked to perfection and flank steak that was not only delicious but a beautiful presentation. Then dessert-bread pudding and peanut butter pie. The bread pudding was one of the best we’ve ever had and the peanut butter pie was -yum!! Our waiter was attentive, offered suggestions when asked and just perfect. Wonderful restaurant!

Great Meal, Service and Atmoshpere

By ah64fish |

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint! The drinks were great, they had a good but not overwhelming wine list, and the menu had some nice surprises of unique items. If you like pork, and want something different, get the pork shank. It’s amazing and served in a way I’ve never seen before. We will be back!

Great unique flavor selections

By Diane F |

Wonderful food and service. Unique selections with generous portions. The Matilda’ Chocolate cake is ludicrously huge for a good reason! Ask your server or guess from the name.

Great Brunch Experience

By LisaLock |

Made a reservation thru Open table for Sunday brunch. Table outside on the first fall Sunday of October. Weather was perfect, even a little chilly. The coffee was hot, the orange juice tasted fresh squeezed, and the brunch choices were delicious! We ordered savory and sweet, the biscuits were crunchy on the outside, soft and perfect on the inside. The butter and jam was just the right amount of sweet. Our server took great care of us, and we definitely recommend! All the boxes checked on this place. Great setting at colony square, super attentive service, flavorful, excellent food, served hot. So happy! We ordered the All Saints breakfast with a big biscuit, Short-rib and eggs, Huevos in Purgatory, Pancakes and Baby Dutch with fried chicken. We all shared a bite. Why are pancakes SO good?! Looking forward to going back for dinner some time soon. Thanks for the great experience!

Super food and lovely ambiance!

By Stephanie D |

My friend and I had dinner here recently. This is the 2nd time I've eaten here and it is MUCH improved. The food was just ok when they first opened, but now it is wonderful. They've updated their menu and everything we tried was just excellent. The staff was super attentive and quick and I was relieved that they no longer make you order through the QRC code. I will definitely be back. YUM!

Food Ok, Service Meh, Don’t sit outside too much glare.

By NomadicNinja |

***FOOD: Brunch Breakfast was ok. Some hits and misses. DUTCH BABY - the pancake itself was good but there was way too much berry sauce, drowning the Dutch baby and making it soggy; PANCAKE - good; SHORT RIB au GRATIN - very good but expected a little more short rib meat, mostly potatoes; SHRIMP POLENTA CAKE w/ extra CHORIZO upcharge - it was ok, mostly sauce tomatoes & greens, thought would get more Chorizo only about 3 pieces. ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$$ pricey for brunch without alcohol too ***DÉCOR: sat outside patio, all too sunny even under the umbrellas because the sun reflected from the glass building in front of the restaurant. Was extremely hot and the glare made eating outside uncomfortable ***SERVICE: ok service, didn’t come to refill our water. ***RECOMMEND: yes RECOMMEND for the food and location

Fancy pancakes and elegant surroundings.

Our traveling trio went to Saints & Council for a mid-afternoon snack before seeing a movie. I would call the decor modern and elegant. It was late November so it was nicely decorated for Christmas. They have various seating arrangements with tables, booths and bar seating. There were three grand circle chandeliers hanging over the well-stocked bar from the cathedral ceiling accented with prominent wooden trusswork. At one end of the bar there a fireplace with an enormous mirror above the mantle and couches that formed a conversation area. We ordered the Classic Dutch Baby, the Sweet Dutch Baby and their S&C Omelette and shared a Cookies & Cream hot chocolate. The Dutch Babies were served in small cast iron skillets in which they were cooked. The Sweet Dutch Baby was a generous portion of delicious berry compote in a pancake which was much more like a hearty crape rather than a thick traditional pancake you might get at IHOP. The roasted potato wedges that came with the omelette were rather underwhelming, but the omelette was great.

Best food and service

We were made very welcome by the manager arissa who was very welcoming. The food was excellent as was the service. Would highly recommend to anyone in Atlanta

Excellent Food and Service

By Randall |

We dined at Saints + Council in Colony Square last evening. We both had the goody burger and a glass of Tempranillo. Both were very good. The best burgers we have had in Midtown so far. The service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant was busy but not overly loud so we could carry on a conversation during dinner.

Tasteless food

By KingLel |

The food was horrible! I had the braised ribs with mashed potatoes and carrots. The ribs were tender …but had a lot of fat and tasteless! The carrots were barely cooked and also tasteless. The stuffed oysters were also tasteless. Dessert was ok. This restaurant has no idea of what marinating or seasoning food means.

Sunday brunch

By 2001NH |

We had an amazing time. Parking is validated. It’s a very cute area with lots of different things and Storz. There was a violinist who was incredible. The eggs and purgatory were super flavorful with lots of vegetables. The omelette with feta spinach and meat was also really nice. The service was really good. I wanted to have pancakes or Dutch babies but alas too many carbs.

Superb cocktails!

By Krillelindo |

Superb cocktails and great food. Thier cocktails are fantastic, creative, innovative and delicious! The food is also great and ther service is excellent. The atmosphere and ambience is also nice the only slight nuisance is that the noise level can be high.

Carbonara Salad? No thank you

By Lily G |

Gross food. Whose idea was it to put a sunny side up runny egg in a salad? Like a carbonara salad? it made me feel sick to my stomach

Great Service and Brunch at a Great Restaurant

By Camper38110 |

We really enjoyed the service and food at Saints and Council. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant we were treated “like a special” guest. Our waiter, Helen, delivered a level of performance that clearly exceeded our expectations. Helen’s engaging personality further enhanced a very enjoyable brunch at the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant. Ask for Helen, as she is a super star.

Saints and Council is a great spot for good friends

By ServingLooksATL |

Saints and Council is a great spot for good friends to get together over craft dishes, cocktails, and conversation (and no agenda) to spend as much time as they want in a relaxed environment. The atmosphere is the perfect blend of work and play and is located in the heart of Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta. What I tried at Saints and Council: The bubbly was Faire La Fête Brut from Limoux, France. Then I tried four signature cocktails. My favorite was the Saints of Summer which had a strawberry shrug. I tried three shared plates. I went with the Local Burrata for my first shared plate which had burrata, asparagus ribbons tossed in white balsamic, basil oil, chili oil, and grilled crostini. Then I tried the chilled seafood platter featuring stone crab, ten jumbo shrimp, mussels, stone ground mustard, and cocktail sauce. Next, I had crispy pepper jelly glazed belly with braised collards, jalapeno cheddar polenta cake, pepper jelly, and glazed pork belly Afterward, it was time for entrees and I tried three. I tried the North Georgia Trout a grilled trout with pepper beurre blanc, and arugula with warm bacon vinaigrette. Then it was time for Chimichurri Lamb Chops which were grilled lamb lollipops, mint chimichurri, green mini garbanzo, potatoes, cilantro mint yogurt, blistered grape tomatoes, and feta. I wrapped up with the Berkshire pork Tomahawk with fennel honey sauerkraut, peach mostarda, and haricot verts. The sweet ending was dessert! I had the Cast Iron Strawberry Shortcake which was a sweet biscuit in a cast-iron skillet, strawberry jam, macerated strawberries, and vanilla ice cream. I also had Peanut Butter Pie a peanut brittle crust with creamy peanut butter mousse filling served with peanut butter-infused whipped cream and peanut butter mudslide cookies.

Great dinning close to Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

By Ricardo Mendioza |

Walking by close to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra venue we found Colony Square and in a rainy evening we had the fortune to accidentally jump in to this beautiful and warm place with a very kind staff and delicious -almost to perfection- cooked dishes. We had a great evening drinking beer and enjoying Crab soup + Crab dip + Salmon (all great recommendations from our bartender)…

Lively scene with decent vibe and menu

By LatinAmericanista |

Very interesting menu. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing — I could have easily eaten the whole thing but shared with my two dining companions. The trout for my entree was very good. Dessert was the strawberry shortcake in a skillet and also a carrot cake. The three of us couldn’t finish the 2 desserts so we took some home. Service was good; we sat outside on a busy Friday night. There were large parties indoors. Very lively scene.

Great new restaurant!

We've been here 3 times in the last few months, and this place is spectacular. All part of the massive Colony Square renovation. The ambiance is terrifice, and the food can't be beat. Highly recommend this place!

Just ok

By letsgoeat |

Had our anniversary here. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. The food was just ok. The service was ok. We'll give it another shot but we're not in a hurry.

Highly recommend!!

Can’t say enough! We were on a girls’ weekend and came here for a nice dinner. The food was excellent! We shared the tomahawk pork chop (which was amazing!), broccolini, and the Caesar salad. It was delicious! The service was good, the cocktails were great. We really enjoyed our evening here! Highly recommend!!
