Good food

By travelingcoinman |

Everything was very fresh and the value was good. The hardest thing was deciding what to get as they have a very extensive menu. Once the order was placed the food came very quickly and we were there at prime time for dinner.

Rolls

By Rachel T |

We arrived and there was a 30 mon wait so we ordered sushi to go. Got the food in 20 min. It was SO good. Best CA roll I’ve ever had and I live in CA!

The employees are really kind that a must !!!

By Keziah F |

The food is really good fresh raw seafood, but also the service Edwin was really good and bilingual Spanish and English, this restaurant has a great team work focus, and the sushi, nigiris and rolls awesome, it’s a clean place, a little bit noice but it’s part of the experience as well !!! I will back again

WOW! Delish!

By Damian k |

One of the Best Sushi I ever had. Everything tasted very fresh. Service is super fast and friendly. We even got some free samples from the waitress. Amazing!

We requested wrong location for Lyft but glad we made a mistake!

By Jim B |

Apparently we had a reservation with Sakana at 7:00 p.m. Lyft dropped us off at the Las Vegas location and mentioned not to go walking around but stay in the restaurant. We went in and mentioned we had a reservation and apparently made a reservation for another Sakana in another town (who knows where). We decided to stay and boy was that the right decision. We loved this place and now our new "go to" sushi whenever in Las Vegas. Place was continuously packed so we knew it must be good. Host (woman that greeted us at the door) was so kind. She squeezed us in to a lovely table after a short wait, the waiter was professional and very fast. I had the Pang (lobster mix, salmon, cream cheese baked on garlic bread), Baked Green Mussels, Summer Crunch which was a mixture of lobster mix, spicy crab, cream cheese, baby lobster, avocado mix, spicy mayo, sweet chili, eel sauce and Baked Lobster Roll. The best of the night was the wonderful Cucumber salad with crab. The cucumber salad had just the right amount of vinegar, not too much. I couldn't get enough of it. So fresh and refreshing. The place was hopping and I see why. Best Sushi in town and reasonably priced. All you can eat dinner for $25.95 with no restrictions. And to top it all off, the host gave me a little package as we were leaving...another container of their delicious cucumber salad which I had the next morning for breakfast. What a wonderful place this was. The atmosphere is beautiful, the wait staff very kind and friendly and the food...oh my, it was delicious!!!!! Can't wait to go back and a big thank you to them for fitting us in even though they were slammed!

Great sushi and a good deal, a bit out of the way.

By akh345 |

The all you can eat special is a good deal, and the sushi is fresh. It is very popular despite its location and outward appearance, on a Monday night there was already a waitlist of five tables. The service was not great, at least three rolls we ordered never arrived, and two that we didn’t order did arrive. At some point the waiter decided we had enough and just brought us the check, so it’s not really all you can eat, but they brought out plenty.

Good sushi gor great price

By Narek D |

All you can eat buffet for good prices - $21 for lunch and $26 for dinner. Limited selection of rolls, but the choices they had were all delicious.

Great Late Night All You Can Eat Sushi!

By Mica R |

Was craving some late night sushi and discovered this place through a search that was close by. Came here and was excited to see the low bar and bar stools with the very Japanese style character cushions. I was greeted by very friendly helpful staff that attended to us often and the chefs were very personable when ordering from the all you can eat sushi menu. The food was great! Had the mussels and plenty of funny named rolls! This place was all around great. Great food, Great Staff, Great Service and Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place

Just keep that sushi coming....

By FourDeez |

As a family that love sushi we though we died and gone to heaven when we found Sakana....What? All you can eat sushi, it can't be true? Yes, it's definitely true and the prices are fantastic, it's fast and it's fresh and you must visit this place before everyone finds out about it! Great place to visit if you are shopping at The Boulevarde Mall...

Great AYCE sushi in LV!

By BGordon13 |

Really awesome AYCE sushi restaurant. Doesn't look like much from the outside but really nice atmosphere inside. Wish we had somewhere like this where I live in Scotland! Sushi was well made and brought to the table quickly after placing your order! We were lucky and only had to wait 15 minutes for a table but by the time we were seated, people were being told it was up to a 45 minute wait for lunch (worth it!). I would advise not ordering too much of the heavier non-traditional sushi (baked rolls etc.) - they are large and come with a lot of toppings and sauce. It was a bit of an effort to manage to finish those ones!

Fun Atmosphere, Excellent Sushi

By Tina E |

We had a great time going to Sakana for sushi last Friday evening before leaving Las Vegas. The all you can eat option worked well for my bottomless-pit boys. Everything we had was fresh and inventive. Way, way better than the sushi buffet we visit at home. We loved the komono in Sakana; lots of fun decor as well as a Hello Kitty inspired ladies' room. Our waiter was so helpful and energetic. Well done, Sakana!

All you can eat sushi

By fahlmasa |

It's an all-you-can-eat restaurant, they have very delicious sushi, everything you order comes in portions, the niguiris in two, the rolls in 4 or 8, and they charge you for the leftover food, so I recommend that you order little by little and look carefully. What they order because they have a lot of spices!! The sushi is fresh since the place has a high turnover of people. The staff is very friendly and they serve you quickly and well. The parking is free.

Best sushi ever and top service - everything fresh in front of your eyes

By Andreas J |

Hardly noticeable from the outside. The inside is amazing: all-you-can-eat sushi for $29 in the evening, great fish quality (really top top top) and incredibly friendly service who gives great advice. You can reduce an order to 4 instead of 8 to try out different rolls... All without complaining... I ate the best sushi of my life here!

Great all u can eat sushi place

By doug h |

We had a large group for dinner. I am not an all u can eat fan but I tried it anyway. I was surprised at the quality of the food. Everything seemed very fresh and there was a large selection. The service was a little slow and hurried but it is an all u can eat place not a 5 star joint.

Amazing Sushi

By derrickwg36 |

Sakana is an amazing all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. The staff are very informative and helpful, and the menu is very extensive. The sushi rolls are incredible, as well as the other dishes offered. If you enjoy sushi, you can definitely find several rolls to suit your taste at this restaurant. I had a great experience and plan to return.

Pleasantly Surprised

By Nick4734 |

When my lyft driver suggested this place, I immediately had a negative response. All you can eat sushi! No way! Well, yes way! Amazing! And the 2 for 1 drinks included! My husband and I will go back every time we are in Vegas! Which is this weekend. 😃

The Queue Says it All … Sushi Buffet in Vegas!

By travel.doc |

Lady Luck was on us …our Uber Driver (who was not a lady) recommended Sakana to us. All you can eat japanese buffet in Vegas. Who can turn that down! Definitely worth paying additional for the All-Day version. They have extras dishes that are definitely worth the extra $4+. Seating is limited to 90mind which is more than enough time to stuff one’s face. (twice) (so so so worth it!!!!!!! good food lovely service (our server was cherry she was wonderful) ambiance is a Vibe - travel.doc jr) Some favorites : Hamachi Kama Sashimi Roll Snow in Vegas Shrimp Skewer Do note that they do not have a website - apparently existing one online is not legit and they do not take bookings. Worth the Uber trip….

Great hidden place

By daniella f |

If you didn't know what you were looking for, you might miss it. However, once inside, what a surprise. The interior is nice, the food was excellent and the service was great. We will return when we are back in Las Vegas!

SUSHI HEAVEN!

By lobo0122002 |

This is my first review for Sakana, but I've been coming here for a couple years. I have nothing but good things to say about Sakana. Everything is always clean and immaculate. The service is always awesome, and the food OMG! There is literally nothing on the menu that you won't like. It's maybe like 10 min from the strip, but is definitely worth the drive. One of the greatest things is it's all you can eat sushi, and normally I've always been scared of that (especially with sushi) but this place is definitely one of the best. Be sure to take full advantage and also order your appetizers as well, they are definitely part of the sushi experience here.

Best sushi ever by 1000 %

By John R |

Ate here 4 days in a row while in Vegas. I am ruined for any other sushi forever. Unbelievably good!! Must try when in Vegas. Prices are very low to boot.

Service Sucks, Staff Sucks, Food….k.

By Kufolits |

Been coming here for over 6 years, but tonight is my last time. Ordered the AYCE dinner. Everything was fine, but did notice the portions are now smaller. The thing that set me off was their time limit. Basically I was ignored as if I was invisible for a good 20 minutes while I waited patiently to reorder sushi. The waitress (Shaine) finally returned and reminded me of the ordering last call deadline. I mentioned the 20 minutes I sat and waited to reorder but then she started to argue and accused me of lying. So ZERO tip for Shaine and you’re lucky I didn’t walk out and skip paying.

you will not be disappointed

By junebug0410 |

All you can eat sushi for lunch $20 All you can eat Sushi for dinner $22 . sit at the sushi bar and the chefs make it right before you.. so fresh and delicious. We eat here everytime we come to vegas

Consistently yummy vegas sushi

By MooreVegasFood |

I love Coming to this place for weekend fun with friends, business meetings or a quick lunch with my colleagues. The sushi is always fresh and super yummy. The presentation is always top notch and the all you can eat price is fair. One of the best in vegas hands down. See my other yummy suggestions @ LifestyleofMoore.com.

Great AYCE Sushi Choice

By Ric |

When I arrived, there was a long (20-30 minute) wait to get in. That was frustrating, but understandable considering the quality of AYCE meal. The food here was excellent and there were lots of different choices for nigiri sushi, rolls, and other items. The only problem I had was that it was difficult to get service. I kept having to flag down servers as they rushed by; I expected that occasionally a server would check on me and that just didn't happen.

Oshii Japanese All You Can Eat

By Brenda L |

A nice Japanese restaurant with a lot of choices for all you can eat menu. It worths to wait a little while.

Good AYCE spot.

By SimplyRedRock |

Good AYCE sushi spot, but service suffers during busy periods. We had lunch on a Monday, and it was packed. Nigiri sushi had great fish to rice ratio. Servers were slow attending to us and sometimes they would forget ordered items or how many we asked for. I preferred Nigeria with no toppings or sauces, but they kept giving me ones with toppings. Fish were of good quality, though. Will come back, but during less busy hours.

Worth the Wait

By jayelkay62 |

Traveling with a party of six is never the best for super fast seating at a popular local AYCE with no reservation. That being said, the wait was well worth the delicious sushi we were served at a rapid pace for 90 minutes. $25.99 per person for all you can eat and pretty much full access to the menu was quite reasonable given the amount of food that our server cheerfully brought us. The clean and simple taste of the Lemon Salmon roll was highly appreciated at our table. We also loved the salmon belly nigiri - truly like butter! Other favorites included, yuzu yellowtail nigiri, and the crab nigiri. Lots of fresh water eel was consumed as well. In just 90 minutes we had many rounds of orders. We walked away totally satisfied and cheerfully recounting our favorite dishes.

Awesome food. Music too loud. Ok service

By Dixie B |

The sushi is fresh, salmon was sooo good! Same as other people on here, we were very impressed! Less rice than fish. Loved it. We'll likely be back. It was a Sunday, so I'll excuse the music and service because the food was great.

Great Spot

By jerod w |

Went here while in town after searching for a good sushi spot. We ended up doing the all you can eat. I was surprised to find out they included all of their rolls with the all you can eat. I was very surprised at the quality of the food and the speed they got the food out. The staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly. They have great recommendations on all of the food. I would highly recommend stopping here for sushi. I will definitely visit again.

Great Sushi near UNLV

By David D |

I read the reviews of this Sushi place and took a party of 5 last night. What a great decision, we wiped them out thanks to their AYC eat for $26 menu. The sushi was phenomenal and the service was excellent. My favorite roll was the Tiger Roll which had sweet elements and spicy elements. My go to roll is the Dragon roll and that was excellent as well. The restaurant is located just up the street from UNLV and not far from the strip. It is in a strip mall next to Target. With my daughter attending UNLV we will definitely be back!! One word of caution, pay attention to your bill because if you are a party of 5 or more you will you will be charged a 18% service charge/gratuity so don’t get caught paying a double tip.

Great variety of sushi for a great price

By Unknown558 |

Paid $25 to go into a sushi comma. The customer service was great. I tried multiple dishes and they were all fresh and clean.

Great sushi in the desert

By Spaek68 |

Sakana was a great find in Las Vegas. Located in a strip mall east of The Strip, you’ll find this really great sushi spot that offers ayce, but not required for your whole party. Reasonably priced for the quality, they offer a lot of variety in nigiri sushi, specialty rolls, and appetizers. I hope they keep it up so I can come back on my next visit to Vegas.

My night out at Sakana

By mauricioahl |

This is my go to place in Las Vegas for Sushi, they are an AYCE restaurant. I wouldn’t classify them as a whole in the wall because the food is amazing. Soups, salads sushi, Korean bbq dishes and the alcohol menu isn’t too Shabby either. Lunch is about $25 and dinner $30 not including a soft drink bring the family it will be fun.

Best All You Can Eat Sushi in Las Vegas

By ek1974 |

I highly recommend Sakana sushi in Las Vegas. It is really worth going there even if you stay in the Strip areas. You don't regret it.

quality is going downhill, do NOT recommend

By Dani |

Latest visit was very unpleasant! Came here with a group of friends and coworkers for lunch. We were told that they no longer offer the dinner option for lunch even if we are willing to pay for it! Wow, talk about being harsh and creating new rules to make it inconvenient. We stayed because we already sat down. Ordered a bunch of sushi to share and the fish to rice ratio has significantly diminished over time. The fish slices are very thin now, unlike it used to be. Our orders were messed up several times, and so we had to re-order. Also got a couple of rolls and they were overloaded with mayonnaise and sweet sauce that it tasted horrible and just swimming in sauce. The pork belly was stiff and overcooked! Lunch $21.95, dinner $25.95. There are so many other AYCE joints within a mile radius that has better quality food and treats customers better. It's very disappointing this place is gone totally downhill. I will NEVER come back again!!!!

Perfect

By Jan M |

This was really very good. No line, friendly staff, but most importantly excellent food. All was very fresh and very tasty. Interesting combinations. One of the best roll we ever had, nigiri sushi great too. Definitely worth visit. Excellent quality / price point.

Great sushi buffet!

By James A |

I really enjoyed this place. The fish was fat and the rice was small. Really good service and quick turn around. The food was awesome. I would come back in a second.

Surprise Gem in a strip center

By Danielle A |

Amazingly fresh Sushi and a great value. I eat sushi all over the country and this is one of my top 3. The fish is so fresh and the sushi variety is so good. They offer all you can eat also. Nice atmosphere and service. I can't wait to go back. The area is not great but don't let that discourage you....if you love sushi you will love this place!

Yum

By Michelle W |

I absolutely love Sakana! Came for lunch today with a coworker. It is all you can eat and ive been a bunch of times for dinner too. Fabulous sushi not overloaded with rice like most ayce. Fresh nigiri! Fun rolls and 2 for 1 beer at happy hour. Come!

Excellent AYCE sushi at a very reasonable price

By Susan H |

Excellent AYCE sushi at a very reasonable price. We had lunch here and we were not disappointed. So many options and a perfect fish to rice ratio for the nigiri. A good size piece of fish and a small portion of rice. We got the all day AYCE which allowed us a few extra choices but limited to only one time such as the uni and Ebi (sweet shrimp) and a few others. Service was very attentive and we were able to continually order more. It was perfect for ordering slow as to not order more than you could eat. Only complaint was the music was too loud and made visiting difficult.

Frankly, they're even better than the last time I reviewed them.

By ScoopLV |

Bang-for-the-buck, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. Lots of (quality) fish, little rice, plenty to choose from, 2-for-1 Sapporo and Asahi at $4 each for the large bottles. There truly is no down side. Some of the menu items are "one per AYCE dinner" -- Uni, ocean trout, the fish salad and a few others.

Great food. Good value

By 68Z28 |

While the exterior leaves you wandering what to expect ... their nice decor and friendly staff was a plus. Excellent

Incredibly Good

By Viajanos |

We had dinner at Sakana and experienced a vibrant atmosphere with great food at super decent prices. Especially the "Sushi Flatrate" made the experience so special. You won't be disappointed.

Enjoyable AYCE Lunch

By lglbgl |

$21.95 per person for All You Can Eat Lunch My son enjoyed the age dashi tofu, bulgogi and gyoza appetizers. All of our selections were good. My spouse and I found the Bam Bam roll, Hawaiian roll, and baked lobster roll very good. Only wish we could have had more mochi for dessert - we were only permitted to have 1 piece of mango mochi per person.

Fresh Seafood!!!

By Happyness |

The seafood was so fresh! I was literally blown away with the high quality of the nigiri sushi! I loved how fresh the uni (Sea urchin caviar) was and the taste was delish! I also enjoyed the Ikura (Salmon Roe) and I loved how the amount of rice was a small portion. Loved everything about Sakana! Their AYCE (All You Can Eat) sushi, rolls, appetizers, skewers, and desserts for $25.95 dinner time was so worth it! I would recommend the Super White Tuna, Garlic Tuna, Ama Ebi (dinnertime only) and Uni (dinnertime only). The desserts were ok. However, I enjoyed eating the mochi ice cream coffee and the Green Tea Panna Cotta! Also, Jeong Ho, was an excellent server!!

Lunch and again for dinner

By Greg |

Went here 2 times while in town for shot show. Once for lunch and again for dinner a different day. Got seated quickly both times. Servers were great! We did all you can eat both times. The fish to rice ratio is amazing! Comes out super quick. Will definitely go back when in town again.

Our new favorite sushi restaurant in Vegas

By bartvandormael |

Truly excellent sushi and sashimi, in an amazing variety. The interior of the restaurant is rather basic, but the food more than makes up for that. You can eat all youwant, for only $ 27 pp!!!

They have it all!!

By Michael M |

Three times to Vegas in the past two years and three trips to Sakana! This place is incredible. A date lunch with wife to a group lunch with friends, this place is awesome for any occasion… and they have food for everyone’s taste!

Number one sushi spot

By cintuchi |

Have a seat by the bar and get ready to order the most exquisite sushi in town. Our Favor sushi chef Johnnie Sanchez Will provide you with great recommendations for a great meal experience. Excellent quality and awesome atmosphere make this place number one in my list :)

Best kept secret for Sushi in Las Vegas!

By Mathew M |

Have you heard of all you can eat sushi? Was it good? This all you can eat sushi restaurant had some of the best sushi I've ever had. Great menu! You could only order 1 of the rare items(like salmon belly). The laid back atmosphere and upbeat music set the mood for great conversation among our group. The quality of food and service was so good we had to stop twice during our trip. All for the comfortable price of $25 per person. If you are you traveling to Las Vegas and like sushi, Sakana is a must to stop at!

awesome

By newdice |

excellent accidental find about a mile from strip. all you can eat is a great deal. I feel like I underpaid. this was our second visit. we will be back next time we're in Vegas.

Good place!

By Sophia W |

Best sushi place i have ever been! Delicious! Stylish! Cozy! Highly recommend! Sometimes you have to wait for a table, but it usually worth it.

Value and quality for the money

By Michael |

Order AYCE and accept the wait staff’s advice. It’s all good. Generous portions of fish. The eel is very good.

Less rice, more fish, fantastic selection.

By ScoopLV |

There's a line out the door. You know they're doing something right when there's a line out the door. This is my favorite ACYE sushi in Las Vegas. Set in a strip mall near the UNLV campus, Sakana loads their guests up with fish without stuffing them with rice. Every roll, sashimi and special on the menu is available for their AYCE special -- although some of the stand-out items like Uni are "one time only" per meal. That's fair enough. It's always a battle for these places to keep the prices down and the quality up. Stand-out dishes for this meal: ocean trout, poke tower, seafood salad, uni, the "Batman roll." Service is LIGHTNING quick -- even when they're packed. (Which is basically all the time.)

Dinner

By Greg |

Went here while in town for shot show. Went for dinner. Quickly sat and orders taken. Food was quick to be delivered. Very good quality and price for all you can eat. Will always come back when in town!!

Best Sushi in Vegas!

By Rebecca Huppenthal |

I have been here many times and have never been disappointed! The food is beyond delicious! It’s absolutely adorable in the inside and perfect for any occasion 🍣🍱🙌🏻🙌🏻

Endless sushi all you can eat very highly rated in las Vegas

By bob m |

Its very small tucked away on the end of a strip mall. Always packed but worth the wait. Theres about 4 places highly rated on yelp, but for us this is number one. Large variety, with very fresh seafood, great flavor. 29.00 all you can eat or pay individual prices per item. 24.95 lunch same everything

Great food and super staff!

By Shelley |

All you can eat sushi! Staff was really friendly and service was fast even though the place was jam packed full of people. Food was really good. Huge pieces of fish on small balls of rice. All the fish was super fresh and their cooked items were really tasty. Definitely worth the wait (it’s first come first serve) so we waited 30 minutes to be seated.

Great Dinner and 2 for 1 drinks all night

By Honestjim |

We had dinner at Sakana and I would say it is the Best AYCE sushi restaurant in Las Vegas. Prices are fair, the sushi selections are numerous, and the service fast and efficient. The fish to rice ratio is better than most AYCE Japanese Restaurants and their fried Tempura came out hot and crunchy. Plus they offer 2 for 1 on all beer, wines, and sake. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Las Vegas.

Eat All You Want

By jfoxworthy |

Great Buffett off the strip so happy we took the time to visit. This is a small place very informal and cozy. the food was yummy and you can eat as much as you like. Was nice to try a little bit of everything without going broke.

Fantastic

By Randy A |

As we were visiting Vegas, we had a hunger for some sushi. We asked a local resident where the best sushi was and we was point to this establishment. The tuna was a beautiful, fresh and the color was outstanding. Everything we had was fantastic.the service was excellent.

Excellent

By happyvalleymedia |

We had the most wonderful experience, food is fantastic, services are great, what more do we want, great value for what you eat.

Best sushi in town!

By lylykwok |

Worth venturing off the strip for this gem. We went twice during our 4 day stay. It is priced at $25-27 ish a person. Kids up to 7 years old are half priced. There are certain items that are limited to one per person. Those include salmon belly, oysters, fried shrimp head, seafood salad and a few other items that escape me at this time. Everything else is divided into appetizers, hand rolls, rolls, nigiri. We tried quite a variety of everything and everything is very fresh and very good. Service was prompt-- they were quick to bring out your food and clear plates. The slices of fish were thick and fresh. The food was flavorful and we hardly used soy sauce because the fish was so good we wanted To taste it. You are limited to a choice of either green tea or red bean ice cream as well as one other dessert. However that was not an issue for us because by that time, were so full that dessert was a bonus not necessity. They do say that there is a 90 minute time limit, I don't think we overstayed it but I'm not sure whether or not it is enforced. They also activity to a party of six or more which is not unusual either. Overall, we loved this place so much that we visited twice during our short four day stay in Vegas. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! PS the mango sake was great!

New All You Can Eat

By Mark C |

New place and highly recommended. They just set a new standard with AYCE around Vegas.. Rice is serve little with nigiri which is good because some places serves more rice then the actually fish.. Food is fresh as you can get.. How I know? I've been eating fish all my life and I exactly know how fresh tastes.. Parking is a big small but it's ok a lot of spaces around so it is no worries.. Perfect for tourist visiting Vegas as it is close to the strip.. Tables aren't too much so either get there and be lucky or wait to be seated.. Will be back again...

YUM! Yum! For my tumtum!

By Spunkyjunk |

Come to Vegas all the time but want something off the strip! Pretty picky about our sushi... We always start w/a house salad: holy awesome dressing! This place is a party! AYCE is beyond amazing w/a HUGE creative menu... Huge pieces of fish- easy on the rice! FREAKING fantastic! A LV hidden gem fo' sho!!!!! Chanel roll was my fave! Salmon belly was crazy good... Have a little of it all for $25!

Super Fun and Great Quality For The Price

By JessicaHowell |

We took a group of 10 people there and had a great time. Owner was super nice. Food was really nice quality for the price. Tab was only $25/person before alcohol. Great off strip find.

Wow

By Oldenkamp |

Went here while visiting our daughter and her friends. We were sceptical but trusted their suggestion. We had no idea how delicious sushi could be. We had the all you can eat and enjoyed everything we tried. The prices are so reasonable for the quality of their sushi.

Number ONE !!!

By ClassicCouple |

The only place I go for Japanese......Owner and Management are to be congratulated for there commitment to there loyal customers. Entire staff always have shown top performance. AND THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD. Price for all you can eat is worth it. Buy one get one free Beer and Sake very attractive. We Love Sunny.

Extremely good sushi rolls

By Worldztrav |

The food here is extremely good and very creative with the names and combinations. Not your typical normal sushi rolls. Lots of varieties to choose from. We had the All You Can Eat and it’s really worth it. Do try it out if you are in the area.

Favorite sushi spot

By Brandy H |

Best quality and nigiri sizes for ALL YOU CAN EAT! You can't beat this place! If you love spicy I recommend call 911 roll and always get the salmon belly with fresh wasabi!

Seat by the sushi bar

By cintuchi |

Sunday lunch AYCE for the yummy sushi Johnny our favorite sushi chef at the bar makes everything you can imagine and more.

AYCE

By CheyAnne H |

This is the place to eat if you love good sushi. AYCE menu is fabulous. Been here 10+ times. Quick service, creative yummy rolls. Always had great experiences and I'm a sushi fanatic. I've come with groups of 10-15 a few times and they are very accommodating. My favorite rolls are the Monkey Brain roll and the Lisa Lisa roll. Absolutely delicious.

Amazing!

By Ben M |

Great sushi off the beaten path. Worth the trip! I had several rolls and appetizers. All were amazing. Friendly but busy staff. Worth every penny.

Delicious fish dishes

By MaryW |

Delicious fish dishes, with inventive offerings, such as "Japanese lasagna" (rice roll with cheese), grilled hamachi and salmon as appetizers, and Spider Roll (fried tempura roll). The other choices to check out might be the bacon and shrimp wrapped skewers, and salad with imitation crab meat. The service is...well, serviceable. Nothing to write home about but not bad enough for me to complain. The lunch "AYCE" (All you can eat) special is $20 per person, a good value. The decor is somewhat hip, with a black and white mural of a Japanese market. Your tea will come in a charming mug with depictions of puffer fish. A bit dark in the restaurant, but conversation will come easy as it is not super loud. The shopping mall that it is in leaves something to be desired, and I would not leave my belongings unattended in the vehicle you park it in.

Freshest Ingredients Around

By Angie W |

This spot was recommended by our Thai massage place. Freshest fish and other ingredients you will find! My tuna roll was mostly tuna and just a little rice. VERY affordable. When you walk into a sushi place and the majority of patrons are Asian, you know you found a good place! Service was also great!

Very good sushi- excellent value

By happer |

We had lunch and selected the all-you-eat option. The price was very reasonable. The only negative thing I could say is there were too many good choices of rolls. We sampled the nigiri, traditional rolls, hand rolls and specialty rolls - they were all tasty. Any roll with eel was especially tasty!! Service was perfect- water was constantly being refilled and empty plates bussed. Sakana is not far from the strip! As a local I'd drive crosstown to dine.

Terrible food, really gone downhill

By Dani |

This place has really gone downhill in the last few months. The quality of fish is much worse now and so is the service. We were ignored for a long time every time we ask for something. The food doesn't taste food anymore and the fish to rice ratio is terrible now too.

Delicious AYCE Sushi

By Jen |

This place was incredible! We got a seat right away and the server quickly took our order for our first round of AYCE sushi. All of the rolls came out quickly and were derricks delicious! Even if you’re staying on The Strip, it’s worth a quick ride!

Tasty and Cheap Sushi

By kemfysh |

Tasty rolls and fast service. We came in for a snack and didn't do the All You Can Eat option ($25.95) for dinner. We ordered a la carte. We were amazed at the affordable prices. $3.95 California roll with nice toasted sesame seeds. Spider roll (fried soft shell crab) was $5.95. It was crunchy and delicious. We also had the baked scallop roll for $4.95. Everything was fresh and the rice was done perfectly. We loved the Spider Roll and ordered it to go. We picked up another California roll and chose the Yum Yum roll with scallops and a spicy Lobster roll. The baked rolls were smoky and accented the seafood. The lobster roll had great texture. We enjoyed our meal very much.

Late Night Munchies

By Mary Rose H |

We arrived late and came straight from the airport but thankfully this place was still open. We didn't have their all you can eat which would have been a great deal but, as mentioned, it was late so we just had two specialty rolls which were both delicious!

2 hairs in one dinner sitting

By Karina |

I came here to eat with my girlfriend during our stay in Las Vegas, and while the food was delicious, the experience of eating it was not. What started out as a reggaeton party vibe quickly turned into a gross nightmare. We ordered rolls and soju to begin our night, and as I began to chew through the roll, I could feel something tickling my mouth, but I could not put my finger on what it was. Then after a few more chews, I was finally able to grab on to it and pull it out, which turned out to be a black HAIR. Absolutely unbelievable, definitely not something that you want to find in your dinner. We called the server over, who came to take a look, apologize, and discount our last 2 orders. I decided to let it go and continue to enjoy the night, until I went to get more soy sauce and saw something floating in my plate. I decided to pluck at it and pulled out a second HAIR of the same length and color. Now I am utterly disgusted. We called the server once again, showed him the hairs, and he looked completely unfazed and said that this is a first for them. Well, it is for me as well. I would also like to note that I have long brown hair while my girlfriend has blonde hair. We got our discounted check, even though at this point they should have just waived everything, paid, and could not have left that place quicker.

See what the buzz is about

By IraNan |

Have been waiting to visit this place. Reviews are fairly accurate in that the food is pretty good. We managed to snag a seat at the sushi bar and lucked out with a very nice waiter. He explained everything very well and made a few good suggestions. We opted for the dinner ayce .The wife and I were generally satisfied with our waiter and the food. We did notice a few things to keep a lookout for. Every time we ordered two of the special orders that only comes with dinner prices, which we did, they only made one, and we had to flag down our waiter to reorder it again. It happened enough to know it was deliberate. We also noticed our uni order was shorted by cutting all the pieces in half. We read reviews that stated they don't use much rice on the nigiri, and that turned out to be true, but the rolls were piled with rice then flattened and compressed by the sushi chef. It looked thin but it was very dense. That is a little trick to make it look thin when it is not. The sushi chefs had little or nothing to say and were generally unfriendly. If you said anything to them, they pretty much ignored us. However, the friendliness of our waiter was much welcomed. We had salmon belly, mackerel, towering poke, Stuffed Tomatos, seafood salad, screaming O, sashimi roll, sweet shrimp (only one piece per customer), something wrong roll, and a red dragon roll. Dessert was green tea pan actors and a black sesame manger.(pan a cotta) We are going to stick with our prime sushi spot at Bluefin Sushi.

Good food and service

I was very pleased with the food and service at Sakana. A bit away from the strip but a good night out that did not cost us an arm and leg. Recommended.

BEST SUSHI JOINT IN TOWN

By Roven C |

This place is remarkable.. I have eaten at most of all the sushi joins around vegas.. This by far surpasses it.. I specifically order Nigiri and the way they make it here let me tell u.. Less rice more of the fish ontop.. And from the looks of it.. Very fresh.. I love going here and outsiders should visit this place too..

Good sushi

By Greg |

Went here for dinner while in town for shot show. Did the all you can eat. There is a time limit of 90 minutes to do the all you can eat. I started with miso soup which was great. Did many orders of regular sushi no rolls. It was all good. Will definitely come back next time in town.

Best Sushi I've had and AYCE

By Danielle A |

The first visit I did not do the AYCE and I regret it. I don't eat rice so usually have a hard time. Their non rice items are amazing and so is all the regular sushi and food. I really can't believe the price for what you get! Don't let the location deter you and be prepared for a wait on this hidden gem.

Best AYCE sushi

By Cyase |

Oh my gosh!! This is by far the best all you can eat sushi place we have ever been to! The fish was fresh, the flavors were spot on! If you get sushi pieces there fish to rice ratio really leans toward the fish! They dont skimp on the fish at all, unlike other ayce places where they give you tiny strips on fish on a thick bed of rice. Prices are reasonable as well. 25 for adults and 15 for kids 3 and older.

Fabulous all you can eat sushi!

By TravelbugBellevue_Wa |

While on a girls trip in Vegas our friend recommended this place. So glad she did! The all you can eat sushi was delicious! The fish was fresh, presented nicely, had very little rice on the nigiri and everything was delicious. My favorite was the Yuzu Yellowtail. The menu had so much to choose from including traditional nigiri & several cooked dishes and rolls. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We couldn’t believe how fast the dishes came out. We didn’t feel rushed at all and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The best part is since it is all you can eat we had the opportunity to try a few new nigiri’s and their signature dishes without breaking the bank.

Best buffet sushi in Vegas

By Tim H |

I am ashamed to say I have eaten at a lot of buffets in my life but I am glad we found Sakana. Google “the best buffets in Las Vegas”. Sakana comes in at #1. I haven’t said this about many buffets afterwards but I loved this place. First of all, you have to know how to eat at a buffet. #1, refrain from alcohol. #2, refrain from carbs like rice, breads, and noodles. #3, know the rules of the buffet. #4, drink only enough to wash food down. #5, buffets can give you clues on how to eat so as not to waste food but enjoy yourself. At Sakana, they had a two-fer on drinks, We stuck with green tea. Stick with nigiri type. Am sure the numerous rolls are great but they have a lot of rice and may not give you a good representation of the actually fish. The nigiri has only a small amount of rice and let’s you actually taste the fish. On purpose, Sakana does not want you to order too many items at one time so you do not waste food. There are items clearly marked on menu that are mostly fish and restrict you to only one serving. Take advantage of these superb dishes. My initial goal was to eat all the nigiri sushis, but I only had fifteen or so of the thirty plus that they offered and had two or three of my favorites (maguro and yellow tail). Above all, the fish was fresh and had great taste. Lastly, go early, take your time, and enjoy. Don’t recall the price but it was well worth the cost. Tip the wait staff well as they work hard for you. I will plan to go back on my next visit to Las Vegas.

A Hidden Gem of a Place! Must Try!

By SinCityJenn |

My family and I were in town and we were meeting up with other family members. After some searching on the internet, we found Sakana. Boy did we luck out! This place is a hidden gem! The food was really good and best of all....FAST! You worry sometimes that the chefs and servers take their time at an all-you-can-eat joint. You also worry that the protein/fish portions will be super small and you end up eating a ball of rice. NOT AT SAKANA! I was very surprised on how little rice there was! The fish was fresh and our group took full advantage of the menu. With the all-you-can-eat, soups, appetizers, desserts, etc. are all included. Even tuna poke, salmon toro, and uni (sea urchin). Best of all, the rolls only come with 4-5 pieces so you can try a lot of different rolls vs getting full off of 1-2 larger rolls. A few of our favorites: Vegas bomb, poke tower, and the seafood salad! The seafood salad is a very good portion, some of us split them, and it is all fish/protein, no lettuce etc.. All and all, this place is a must-go restaurant. I would have included some pictures, but the food disappeared as fast as it was served! Service is quick & excellent, food is great...you can't go wrong! I will definitely be returning!

Best Sushi in Landlocked State Hands Down!

By julap02 |

We went to Sakana not once, but twice, during our trip to Las Vegas this past week! Their $25.95 AYCE sushi menu is massive with so many delicious options! We didn’t want to fill up on rice, so ordered mostly non-rice and nigiri options (their fish to rice ratio is unparalleled). And we couldn’t believe the quality of their sashimi - it measured up to or surpassed the quality of fish in many sushi restaurants in coastal cities like Hawaii, Seattle and even Japan! Their deserts were yummy - especially the Affigato (ice cream in espresso) and green tea ice cream! Their black sesame pudding was very delicious as well (for those looking for less sweet options). You can easily drive or Uber there from the strip (about a 10 min drive). Will definitely eat there again on our next trip to Las Vegas (assuming they don’t change a thing)!

Stopped by and they were closed by the health department

By Megankaz |

After seeing all of the great reviews on Trip Advior I decided to give them a try. I love Sushi, so having another place on my sushi list sounded great. Drove out there and all the lights were off and a lady told us that they were closed down because of no hot water. No problem, we would give them another try some time in the future. Then a week later I saw them on Dirty Dinning on our local news station. They were closed for a large number of other health code violations. Just glad that we didn't go the day before the health department closed them down. It looks like the fixed all the violations and back open. Not sure if it is worth the risk to give them at try anymore.

The best!

By Jo T |

While visiting Vegas earlier this week, my husband and I dined here twice. The staff is really efficient and the quality of the food is superb. My husband is very particular about his sushi and he thought Sakana was really exceptional. Can't wait to visit again on our next trip to Vegas.

Good place for AYCE Japanese.

By alexwang123 |

This is a good place to go for all you can eat sushi and hot dishes. Unlike the buffets where the food sits on the counter all day, here they prepare the food as you order it. You do have to eat what you order in order to avoid being charged for the items you did not finish. The sushi is pretty good and you can have one order of specialty items like salmon belly, uni and amaebi per person. Just be careful not to order a full roll as that could fill you up. I am not a roll person but my wife likes it so we always ask for half a roll to share. We always get the AYCE for the kids as well since they like sushi as well as the hot dishes like tempura, gyoza, udon, etc. Unlike some other places that charge full price for kids, here kids are $14 which I think is fair. Just be warned that usually there is a line here but nothing crazy like the casino buffets.

American-style Japanese sushi

By tt5566 |

We went for sushi this past weekend. It did not take us long to get a table. We had the all you can eat buffet for about $27/person. Sushi is mostly American flavored sushi (so if you are looking for traditional one, this is not the one). Some of yakitori were fried and put in teriyaki sauce (not enjoyable) - it should be grilled. Some item can be order once - I thought it's buffet and I guess not. The service is pretty good. So I guess I give 3 stars for the restaurant for its services. Good luck!

Excellent sushi; Better than Excellent Price

By Bruce N |

Visited after a friend recommended this place to me. My wife and I, son and daughter came for lunch and had a feast. We had so many dishes I lost count of what we ordered. As mentioned by others, the fish to rice ratio on the nigiri sushi is great -- small rice portion and large fish portion -- which allows you to eat more sushi. The hamachi and salmon were the best of the day -- creamy, buttery and fresh. I don't know how they make any money but I hope they do! We'll be coming back every time we visit Las Vegas.

Always exceeds my expectations

By ServiceOverPrice |

I love love love Sakana. I have been coming here for more than a year and have brought family and clients here from all over the country and both Dragon and Sy always make sure we leave full and satisfied. I always make sure to sit at the sushi bar even if I have to wait. The best time to come is around 3 pm and you pretty much get the place to yourself!

Extraordinary nigiri

By cintuchi |

Roni was our sushi chef amazingly fabulous!!! From the beginning to the end overpass our expectations.. Delicious nigiri and creative rolls make the sushi experience top notch. Thank you Ronny!

Great food with a little charm!

By Ryo Z |

A little gem here in Las Vegas ! I don't eat seafood but I love Japanese cuisine. I know that I was craving some small plates for dinner and I was searching for certain menus items of dishes I do like. Who knew I would find it at an All You Can Eat Sushi place! LoL I didn't make a reservation and reading many of the reviews here it seems they're always busy but I went anyways. Sure enough, the restaurant was pretty busy but the hostess was able to seat me at a table. This small place was pretty full of people and the volume of conversations filled the room. I think it's because of the music playing overhead is a little much to compete with. I didn't care, I was eating solo and enjoyed the atmosphere. The decor of the place seemed eclectic with a little reflection of Asian charm. I was greeted by my server, Tristan who was great. Very attentive and always checking in on me. I asked how this menu worked. I had the choice of paying for the All You Can Eat or A La Carte. I chose A La Carte since I don't eat sushi and just wanted appetizers. I ordered the vege tempura, gyoza, chicken karaage, and bulgogi with a side of rice. The tempura was good, crisp and came with 4 pieces. Loved the chicken karaage - it's one of my many favorite fried chicken dishes in the world & it was pretty good here. The gyoza was ok. Bulgogi was full of flavor and just right. I enjoyed all of it with a large Asahi beer and some rice. Everything was just enough. I ate everything so fast, I thought I was going to put myself into food coma lol I hope you come check this place out and enjoy a good experience. I'm sorry I don't have much to say about the sushi but the plates from the people around me looked like they were plates beautifully. Njoy!

Wow!

By wyowanderer50 |

Best Sushi experience ever! Service was top notch by the staff. Busy place but worth the wait. Everything we sampled was absolutely delicious. And it was a bargain at $25.99/ea for the all you can eat. Would go back in a heartbeat!!!

Great lunch!

By Lisa M |

Delicious and authentic sushi, all-you-can-eat, at just 20.95 for lunch! I enjoyed a light salad, agadeshi tofu, mushroom skewer, avocado roll, tamago nigiri, and some amazing desserts: affogato with korean-style coffee and black sesame manger. Only complaint: they frequently forgot parts of our order during delivery.

Fantastic sushi

By Jeff P |

This is our third time to this restaurant. We make a point to visit this restaurant anytime we come to Vegas because is many places that we've been in the world this just happens to be the best sushi!!!

Fresh Fish

By mikss1 |

Visited this sushi place based on a recommendation from a friend. AYCE sushi for a very reasonable price (less than $30). The fish here was very fresh. Let me say it again, the fish here is very fresh!! The menu is extensive so be prepared to eat. The sushi rice is tasty. I highly recommend this small strip mall sushi restaurant.

GREAT HOLE IN THE WALL

By JOEY4747 |

LOCATION - It is off the strip and as I mentioned " a hole in the wall" FOOD - very good all you can eat sushi SERVICE - our server didn't crack a smile overall - It is a very good sushi place. It is an all you can eat sushi for 90 minutes. NO SHARING. any leftover is charged to you. If you cannot eat all of it - Don't order it. and pick a server that smiles. It'll make your experience a lot better.

So worth it!

By Leliz0402 |

We were a group of 8 friends, we all availed of eat-all-you can (I believe each pax paid about less than 25 usd). 90 minutes only. Left overs will be charged. We ordered a lot at first, which was easily wiped out in 10 minutes! It’s that good (or we’re just hungry?) Haha. The dragon sushi and fried rice and bulgogi beef were top favorites. Highly recommended! Would definitely go back if we ever go to Vegas again and craving for some authentic Japanese meal!

Delicious

By Nat Alie |

Nowhere had I eaten so much good quality sushi for that price, all you can eat for 29.95 USD recommended if you go to LV, great variety of sushis, roll, nigiri and more!

Yummmmmy

By J.Miller |

This place does not disappoint. We wanted something off the strip & all you can eat. The staff was awesome. The food was so good. Loved the Monster roll, no name till & chanell the most. So worth the taxi ride. Lovers it.

Absolutely go there and be all-you-can-eat, but don't disappoint

By ラブシーホークス |

Cheap but delicious,Sushi is fresh,Food other than fresh fish is delicious. There is also alcohol. They come back and listen to my orders a little bit. Small in quantity and size, but no problem because I ordered it many times

At the very least four stars

By redwhiskeypete |

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because the all you can eat didn't include sashimi but that is probably unfair because most places don't include sashimi with all you can eat sushi places. I would defiantly go again. Basically your given a menu with many, many selections and a waiter will come buy and take down what you want. I sat up by the sushi bar and probably could have told the guys preparing the sushi what I wanted. There were a few items on the menu that limited you to one portion instead off the all you can eat of the other selections. One of these was an oyster that was to die for. They have signs all over the place that warn you they will charge extra for portions taken home and also admonishing customers to eat the rice that came with each piece of nigiri, just not eat the meat and leave the rice. I pigged out on many different types of Nigiri. They had a few selections that had nigiri with jalapenos. This place was located in a strip mall. A place you could easily miss driving by. Total cost with one imported beer was $34.50, more then a reasonable price. They have the prices on the menu what the Nigiri would cost you for one or two pieces. Most of the prices were in the $3.95 to $5.95 range and I estimated what I ate would have costed well over $80.00. This is a causal atmosphere type of place. I never had to wait long for someone to come over and ask what else I wanted. The more I think about it this should be rated 5 stars based on my experience. If we had this near where I live I would be going there at least couple times a month. Will be back. Including a picture of the first plate I got there.

Good Food and a better price-point!

By P9152PVkt |

Good food and service is what we found at this restaurant. The 'All you can Eat' price is more than fair for the qualify of the food and service received.

Most bang for your sushi buck

By SimplyRedRock |

Go for the AYCE, lunch or dinner. On their nigiris. the size of the fish is about twice as the rice morsel so you don't fill-up quickly and take in more fish. In most sushi AYCE places I've gone to, the reverse is true which is a business strategy. Fish quality is at par with standard AYCE restaurants. Other Asian fare is also available but best if you concentrate on the sushi. Will definiyely be back.

Horrible service

By Kevin W |

I've been living in Vegas for 1 year. I ALWAYS go to the all you can eat sushi across the street from this particular restaurant, "Sakana on Maryland" however, i been yelping and reading the great reviews of the restaurant so i decided to go give it a try. I walked in and was greeted by Geo, which he walked us to the table and sat us down. My partner asked him about the 2 for 1 drink special that we seen on yelp, he said yes, I then asked him what type of drinks are part of the 2 for 1. He said sarcastically "ALCOHOL" then walked away. At first, I thought it was a joke, then i quickly realized this Geo server was actually a rude individual. He walks back to our table and my partner says we will talk water "which was never brought to us". I then asked him if we can get another server and he said sarcastically in a non caring manner "YEA" and walks away. No one never came to us for about 3-4 minutes. I then walk up to the young lady to ask to speak to the manager which she tells me he wasn't present and he would be in the following day. I asked for a card and Geo said " they are right over there" In a " non caring who cares" type of way. I grab the card took a quick picture of Geo and walked out. I'm very upset because I really really wanted to try this place after reading all the great reviews but I can't support or spend any of my hard working dollars to a restaurant that has servers that are rude and disrespectful to guests. I will NEVER go back into this restaurant and I will make sure to tell all my military friends and family to not ever step foot inside. Geo needs more training on how to treat and speak to guests who are spending money in the establishment that he represents. The card clearly says "we work hard for your smile" however, it is impossible if they continue to have someone such as Geo representing that establishment

Sakana SOOOOO Amazing!

By Izen N |

My boyfriend and I went to sakana for the first time tonight. It was so amazing. I am a huge snob when it comes to sushi because i professionally roll sushi as well. I know the ins and outs and how to tell if fish is fresh or if it's been sitting for a couple days. And the fish was fresh and delish! Our normal sushi night is normally to Nobu at Caesars Palace which is top notch always and have been disappointed around town at other places until tonight! We found our new favorite and affordable compared to Nobu. Now we wont have to save our pennies to eat sushi we are so delighted! Sakana offers all you can eat and you can choose a la carte there is no separate all you can eat menu which is also great. The nigiri is top notch! The yellow tail yuzu nigiri is sooooo good and the tuna is so fresh! I tried this appetizer called the crispy rice and it was out of this world! The staff was so helpful and accommodating and fast. Absolute thumbs up, great place, great vibe, loved it!

Third Trip and still EXCELLENT!

By G B |

This place is delicious. The rolls are full of flavor and not drowned in sauces. The fish is fresh and the price is reasonable for the quality. Everything we have tried so far has been wonderful. The service is great as well. Most of the seats have no backs, and there is no padding. Not the most comfortable for those with bad backs. However, there are a couple of booths that have a back. Yet, even if you have this problem, the food is so good, you should still stop by for a quick bite!! We will definitely be back!

Fresh veggies; Friendly staff

hungry after a Target shopping trip. We are vegetarian and ordered the seaweed salad, avocado roll and veggie roll. The food was fresh and tasty. Decor here is really cute too and the staff was very friendly. I’d go back.

My favorite sushi restaurant in Vegas

By Lily TravelGirl |

There are good reasons why there's always a line to get in and inside is always full. It's an AYCE restaurant but food is extremely fresh and tasty. The price is very reasonable, and the staff is friendly and fast. Been here many times and agree with the locals, this is the best sushi spot.

Keeps Me Coming Back

By Amanda |

I enjoy traveling to Vegas for the food, and this place is always a must-stop. I've tried so many things I can't say which I liked most, but I enjoyed them all.
