We were staying at the airport prior to our flights and craving sushi. We found this place and it exceeded all expectations. The sushi was tasty and they offer both modern and traditional rolls. The service was top notch. We will visit her every time we go to the Miami, its that good!

They offer Japanese, Korean and Thai food, but none of the dishes we tried really stood out. We all tried the lunch menu which has good portions in terms of quantity, but the quality wasn't to our liking. There are several restaurants in Miami with the same name, so don’t confuse it with the others.

Western folks are accustomed to excellent, affordable salmon. My journey even parked me in SE Washington, not far from the banks of the Columbia River. Sushi & I often battle between how much I'd LIKE to eat & what my budget can afford. Salmon is #1 for my taste buds. I don't believe I'd ever "topped out" my salmon consumption until Sakura Sushi and Bar's Salmon Lover's offering. I finished . . . but barely. A bit expensive for lunch ($17.00), but a BUNCH of salmon, including four pieces of 1/4+ " of just that --- salmon. Nice space; polite & efficient staff; fantastic food --- including salmon.

I would highly recommend Sakura for lunch. Their lunch specials are reasonable and the food was delicious.

A neighborhood restaurant that stands alone and isn't nestled in a massive strip mall. Less than 10 parking places so creativity comes in handy using the side street. The food is inexpensive and quite good. Not a sushi lover but plenty of other items to fit anyone's taste. Simple, easy, clean and pleasant for either lunch or dinner. Be careful of the midday siesta... They are closed from 3:30 to 5:30 during the week!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is delicious. The dragon roll and the gyoza are amazing.

We have ordered twice and had issues twice. First time, the food arrived after an hour and 45 minutes. The second time our order was incomplete. We called and we're told the missing food would arrive within 15 minutes. It never arrived. We called to speak with a manager to request a refund for the undelivered food and were told they don't have one on duty in the evening, to call back the next day. We did and still no manager, left a message in the morning and one in the afternoon. 48 hours later and 4 calls later, still no word.

Nice neighborhood restaurant on the corner of 57th Ave and 12. Perfect place for lunch! Just make sure you get there before 12:45 before the lunch rush gets it. Food is very good, service is on target and the bill was easy on the pocket. I'm sure it must be a good option for dinner too!

Great menu, huge variety, sushi, soups, rices, special combos and korean meals. Small pretty location, fair prices, friendly staff and fast service

Met friends here on a whim, and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Excellent food, very laid back, excellent service, and good location. And to top it off, without the traffic, crowd, and hassle of many good restaurants. Will definitely be back, and soon.

I just visited this sushi bar yesterday and had a great fancy roll. It was absolutely delicious. I am a sushi fanatic. I love sushi and have tried many different places in Miami, this place really was great. I had the crab rangoon to start, my friend had one of the lunch specials and then I had a fancy roll with avocado, shrimp tempura crab and topped with avocado again. The ginger dressing was also delicious! I highly recommend this place!

In between travel days I pulled up my TripAdvisor app and looked around for sushi and landed at Sakura! What a beautiful surprise we had friendly service, very delicious buttery fresh sushi salmon, followed by mushroom miso soup which was so fresh and delicious and very large bowl probably 2 1/2 cups and my husband had a basic ginger salad. Entrée for me was a delicious salmon and tuna roll called sea of love, and my husband had chicken teriyaki with fresh vegetables and a good sauce. The young man who delivers some of the food in the carry out turned on some nice 80s music for us and turn down the air, everyone that worked there was very accommodating helpful and pleasant! I would definitely go back anytime I am traveling or visiting Miami.

the food at Sakura is delicious, but the service could be a bit faster. good value, good for weekday lunch

Seeking for a cozy, clean, well attended Sushi place, a while ago we found Sakura, and every trip we find time to endulge ourselfs. Highly recomended for people that enjoy JApanesse Food @Affordable Prices. Congrats!

Amazing sushi. Recommended by a friend. Did not disappoint. Excellent fresh sushi. Great service and delicious

Even though I pass by many times in front of this restaurant never tried before; it was a surprise!!!the food was very good I always start with sushi roll to taste the food and it was very good also the service was great. A place to go from now on

Love sushi and other menu meal. Restaurant is clean. Waitress are very nice and friendly. Good location

The place is very quaint and clean. The food is amazing. Great service, friendly and polite. I had the seaweed salad, chicken fried rice and the most amazing churros with vanilla ice cream. My husband had sushi, teriyaki chicken with white rice. loved it all. Will certainly be back.

Awesome sushi. Have gone back every few months and the food doesn’t disappoint. I had the salmon and tuna lunch special. Amazing Very fresh. The miso soup is one of the best. Highly recommend

New little sushi bar in of all places West Miami off of 8th St. This location has had numerous other restaurants all of which have lasted less than 18 months. This time I think it will be very different. Small parking lot and limited parking can try your patience but it's worth it. Small and cozy atmosphere, maximum occupancy is about 25 patrons. When you walk in the first thing that strikes you as odd is that no one behind the counter is Asian. Hang in there your in for a treat! Last week I took my step-father (his first visit to a Japanese resturant), he was a bit apprehensive because he didn't what to try sushi. So I suggested the chicken teriyaki bento box which provided a nice assortment to sample. I ordered the Sashimi bento which was beautifully presented and was very fresh. My step dad enjoyed his chicken and loved playing with the chop sticks. Service is still going through its growing pain and will probably improve with experience. The servers (3) are on the young side and were easily distracted as more customers came in. I had to ask all three of them for a refill on my tea before I finally got it. I'll be going back again.

One roll called west Miami is just delicious!!! Friendly service and moderate prices. Parking right outside the restaurant. Beat place around this ort of Miami

The food here was a real surprise... was in Miami for business and a special b'day celebration. We were a little skeptical about the exterior but the food made up for it all. The Salmon crunch roll was really good, so was the Akira roll and some veggie noodle dish. We got there late but the staff was really great and accommodate our late evening craving. We had wine and a Japanese beer for a price that was below $60.00. Would definitely eat here again.

Restaurant for locals but amazing food . Very rich. We were very surprised. We order sushi and edamame’s Recommended. Very good service

Don't be fooled by the authentic looking restaurant... this place has the best sushi I ever tasted...

Sakura Sushi was a real surprise. My first impression was that the building is small and the flag over the door a bit odd. Nevertheless I'm open minded because as in most cases looks can be deceiving. And I'm glad I went in. This little building sits plenty. A sit at sushi bar plus tables inside and outside. We chose the sushi bar. The chef was on his game. He was fun and had a great attitude. He never faltered to answer a question and his timing was spot on. I had tuna and salmon nigiri that tasted so fresh it could have just been caught. Also had a ginger salad and a roll. They do not skimp on the portions. By the time we finished the place was packed but the staff was working like a team to keep it all moving. Highly recommend this and will be going back for sure.

We could eat this sushi every day. They offer pick up, delivery, and dine in. Open for lunch and dinner. Reasonably priced and nice wait staff.

Thisnrestauant is over twenty years old and still has the best sushi in Miami, not to mention the best salmon teryaki hands down. They really know how to cook salmon to perfection! Their salmon teryaki bento box comes with salad, california roll , dumplings,noodles....all for $12 and all very fresh!

Their lunch special is usually the best bet. For dinner, order a la carte. Sushi has always been fresh and well presented.

I am a sushi lover and that makes me a very critic customer, I love small pieces with the delicacy pictured in the sushi's shape. Every piece It's supposed to be a bite, unfortunately in Miami most restaurants won't understand that part of this art. However I am so happy that I have found Sakura Sushi Bar because they understand the beautifully of offering the right size, also the chef has come with a creative menu, OMG roll for example is with mango, at the beginning I was skeptical about it but It's a must try in this place. Also my favorites are tuna roll and salmon roll, very simple and traditional, this is the first thing I order when I go to a Japanese restaurant for the first time. I like to order Gioza as an appetizer which is basically pan fried dumplings...mmm just delicious! then hot green tea to drink, here i have to mention that usually the tea is not hot enough, probably the tea pot is the problem, I'd recommend the restaurant manager to change the tea pot. Other than that Sakura is a great place to eat sushi in Miami, parking is available, prices are fair and service is good.

Their sushi rolls are always fresh and well made, we always sit at the bar and choose our rolls to have seaweed on the outside to which they accommodate. I keep coming back, it is not super packed when I go and that's good because place is small. The staff can use some better training, they are kind but ditzy, they stand around talking to each other rather than paying attention to what u need. In either case it just means u have to flag them down a little more but they are not rude to customers and the guys at the bar are amazing!!!

We reluctantly tried this place since we had moderate to low expectations with regards to quality sushi in West Miami...However, we are glad that we tried and we were positively surprised... While parking is a bit tight we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food! We had 5 different rolls (traditional, deep fried and fresh fish) and they were all excellent and tasty and fresh...We had a beef roll to top it off and it was also excellent We will definitely make this a regular place to visit and look forward to our next visit...Give it a try!

Excellent food with a lot of options (compared to other Japanese Restaurants) in a menu loaded with a variety of colorful dishes to choose from. I went for the classic and the taste was fantastic. I liked the ambiance and the experience; besides an error in the delivery of the order (corrected with respective apologies) I would highly recommend this Restaurant by all means.

Some of the best sushi I have ever had, stopped by on a whim and did not regret it! The presentation was great and the selection and variety of their rolls is top notch, would definitely recommend to anyone.

My kids and I love this restaurant. The food is delicious. The chef makes special mini rolls for children. The chicken teriyaki is their favorite. Mine and my husbands, the chirashi. A place to go!

Went with my wife. She love it ...great food awesome Thai tea.....sweet. She is picky and she wants to go back. Weal so had the Thai donuts and ice cream. Greta dessert.

Great Sushi! Japanese style! Moderate decoration, but great food. The service was really good, too. Try the hot rolls, they are great.

I've been there several times for lunch and dinner. The staff is friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. The sushi is fresh and the presentation appealing.

This is the second time I've come to Doral and the second time to Sakura. The sushi is amazing, so fresh and the rolls are huge! Our waitress was so attentive and even ordered us a cab at the end. The miso and udon soup was so good but I really can't say enough about the sushi...IT WAS THAT GOOD!!!! I'll come back to Sakura every time I come back to this area.

Sakura provides the perfect escape from a busy day. It's tucked into a little stand-alone building on 57th ave, and has delicious meal options, like churassco, ceviche, and a Ricky roll I highly recommend. And if you want a very spicy roll, ask for the unlisted "TNT" roll. The fried rice also comes with a delicious sauce comparable to a Samauri's. Sakura is definitely worth a stop, whether you're a local or just visiting.
Perfect Take Out If You Live Nearby
Today was my 3rd time taking takeout from this restaurant and I absolutely love it. The miso soup is delicious, the rolls are made to perfection and the Tuna Tataki is delectable. This restaurant is very cozy and intimate perfect for a couples date, it is also very affordable.
